This is a really, really really, really HUGE hint!!
October 12, 2016, Update
This is a test to see if the Contribute software still works to post articles on this site.
Efforts to save changes in this article at 1:00 a.m. Friday morning,
March 13, 2015, resulted in one failure after another. The problem
remained all day long until the proprietor of the company that hosts
this site did after hours work to get the site functional for me once
again. I do not know at this point what happened. However, I am grateful
to Saint Joseph in this month of March for his assistance, without
which the site would still be down.
The current article is something of a second anniversary gift to the Argentine Apostate.
There will be another new article after I recover from the process of getting this one published!
Ah, it is Lent. My sins deserve to punished. Deo gratias!
All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you. Save souls!
Pope Saint Sylvester I did not
abide heresy. He did not enable it in the slightest. He confronted it as
he sought the conversion of all non-Catholics to the true Faith. His
firm defense of the Holy Faith as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ's Vicar on earth must inspire us in our day to seek his
intercession for the needs of the Church Militant on earth as she
suffers in the catacombs as pretenders to the papal throne make their
open accommodations to propositions that have been anathematized time
and time again in the past by true popes and/or dogmatic councils. The
Church arose from the catacombs during the pontificate of Pope Saint
Sylvester I. May his intercession for us now help to bring about a like
arising from the catacombs in our own day as the falsehoods of the
counterfeit church of conciliarism are wiped away once and for all.
Although so many Catholics in the world are without the Real Presence of Our Lord to adore, those who are so privileged in this time of apostasy and betrayal would be wise to end this year by spending time
before Him in
prayer as we pray our Rosaries in thanksgiving for the favors and graces
received this year, in reparation for our sins and those of others this
year, in petition for our spiritual and temporal needs and, of course,
in adoration of the good God Who preserves our existence and Who wants
us to show forth our love for Him by our fidelity to His teaching and
our sorrow for our sins as members of His true Church.
It had been my hope to have another original aricle posted by today. That will have to wait until tomorrow, the Feast of the Circumsion of Our Lord. Tomorrow's article will be a brief follow-up to several other recent commentaries.
Not including guest columns, there were two hundred forty-five original articles published this year. The work quotient will have to decrease some in the coming year. However, I will still endeavor to write as time permits. A multi-part series will begin next week at some point, although there will be a hiatus of a five days or so to prepare this series for publication.
A Holy New Year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 2014 to you all!
We live in a world where monstrous social engineers decide the fate of entire nations while bringing the wrath of God upon them for their promotion of evil. The continued violence against Catholics in a country supposedly "liberated" by the United States of American on March 20, 2003, and the continuing saga of Jahi McMath represent the depths to which the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic engineers of Modernity have brought us, enabled as they have been and continue to be by the doctrinal, liturgical and pastoral engineers of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us!
I have been given the privilege of posting two articles written by that fine Catholic apologist, Mr. Timothy A. Duff. The first, Francis, The Historic Blasphemer, is Mr. Duff's brief but powerful defense of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was recently blasphemed by Jorge Mario Bergoglio (see yesterday's article, All Bergoglio Has Done Is to Change The Volume of the "Music" All Right, for a recap of this hideous blasphemy), and his equally powerful challenge to those in the "resist while recognize" movement to recognize that Bergoglio is not and cannot be a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. Mr. Duff's second commentary, Letter To A Prominent Resist and Recognizer, provides a moving exhortation to an unnamed "resist and recognizer" to understand the true situation of the Church Militant in this time of apostasy and betrayal. It is an exhortation that can apply to man of our own relatives and forme friends!
I thank Mr. Duff for giving me the honor of posting these two articles.
Finally, this is a reminder that the world-famous Donations page was updated two days ago. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
A prominent anti-sedevacantist presbyter has dispatched a Christmas newsletter that is a total whitewash of the true record of Jorge Mario Bergoglio as "Pope" Francis in the past nine and one-half months. This article is an effort to remove the whitewash for the sake of truth, which the newsletter in question does not tell.
There are familiar citations found in this article. However, there are two citations that have never been used before on this site.
There was a time when there
were real, honest-to-goodness Catholic Archbishops of Canterbury. Let's
see here, that would be from the time of Saint Augustine of Canterbury
in 597 A.D. to the time of Reginald Cardinal Pole in 1558, a period of
nearly a millennium. The fortieth legitimate Archbishop of Canterbury is
the saint whose feast we celebrate today, Saint Thomas a Becket, who
was indeed a martyr for the Church's liberties.
Saint Thomas a Becket asserted the rights of Christ
the King as the Archbishop of Canterbury, insisting that clerics accused
of civil crimes be tried in ecclesiastical, not civil, courts. This led
him to clash with his onetime friend, King Henry II of the House of
Plantagenet. Prefiguring another English king named Henry (this one,
number The Eighth, from the House of Tudor), Henry II could not abide
his former friend's resistance to his, Henry's attempt to assert royal
power over the Church, leading him to uttering the words that would
inspire three of his barons to murder the Archbishop of Canterbury,
Thomas a Becket, on this date in 1170, eight hundred thirty-nine years
ago now. The latter Henry, the one called "The Eighth," had Saint Thomas
a Becket's relics destroyed as his martyrdom was a reminder to one and
all that the Church has Divine Rights superior to those of the civil
state.
King Henry II had to do public penance for uttering
the words that resulted in the martyrdom of Saint Thomas a Becket. His
son, King John I, having been slow to learn the lessons of his public
penance, was forced by his barons and noblemen in the year 1215 to sign
the Magna Carta to guarantee the rights of the Church under civil law in
England. This was a victory for the liberties of the Catholic Church
that had been won by the blood of this great champion of the Social
Reign of Christ the King, Saint Thomas a Becket, whose intercession we
seek this day and every day for the restoration of the Social Reign of
Christ the King in all nations, including the United States of America.
Indeed, the situation we face in the United States of
America today is the direct result of the overthrow of the Social Reign
of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of
Judeo-Masonry. Nations founded in the belief that men can pursue the
common temporal good without subordinating themselves to the Deposit of
Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted
exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and
infallible explications who believe that they can be "good" and
"virtuous" on their own powers without belief in, access to or
cooperation with Sanctifying Grace--are bound to degenerate over the
course of time. Statism is the only end result of the process of decay
that must occur when nations reject the simple truth that Catholicism is
the one and only foundation of personal and social order. And it is the
statists of the present moment, starting with Barack Hussein Obama, who
sacrifice the legitimate national sovereignty and national security of
their own nations in order to demonstrate their "solidarity" with
"bettering" the world on a "global" basis.
A continued blessed Christmas and a blessed Feast of Saint Thomas a Becket to you all!
Today, the Fourth Day within
the Octave of Christmas, is the Feast the Holy Innocents, the children
who were put to death at the orders of the jealous titular King of Judea
who had been installed by the Roman occupiers to pacify resistance to
their unjust occupation of the Holy Land. King Herod the Great, whose
sons Herod and Philip were no less corrupt and violent than he was,
wanted to kill the Baby King Whom he thought to be a threat to his own
political suzerainty, such as it was as a puppet ruler under the Roman
occupiers. It meant nothing to him to wipe out so many innocent children
in his quest to kill the Baby King, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ, Who was born in Bethlehem to save, his, Herod the Great's, own
immortal soul by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious
Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross.
There have been imitators of Herod the Great
throughout history who have sought to put to death the followers of Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in an insane effort to wipe the
Faith off of the face of this earth. The names of these imitators are
legion. Their likes are to be found in our own midst today as
politicians of both major organized crime families of naturalism in the
United States of America, the Democrat Party and the Republican Party,
believe that a just social order can be established and maintained while
innocent preborn human beings are slaughtered under cover of law and
while the Sovereignty of Christ the King is denied in favor of the
sovereignty of men and their false, naturalistic, semi-Pelagian and
anti-Incarnational ideas.
That having been noted, however, it is important to
point out that the Holy Innocents are honored as saints because they
died in the place of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a
political potentate drunk with his own self-importance sought to kill
the Newborn Baby King with a furious rage. The slaughter of the innocent
preborn today, as horrible as it is and as deserving of our attention especially by means of praying Our
Lady's Most Holy Rosary and by means of sidewalk counseling, is
different in that the children being killed today are not being targeted
specifically in the place of Our Lord.
Unlike the speculative
conclusions offered by the "International Theological Commission" of the
counterfeit church of conciliarism in 2007, the Catholic Church has
never held out "hope" that the souls of unbaptized infants go to Heaven,
which is why the crime of the killing of the preborn is so monstrous as
it kills the souls of those involved in the execution and denies the
slaughtered babies the glory of the Beatific Vision. The Holy Innocents
are saints because they were targeted quite specifically because of Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and thus shed their blood on His
account.
We need to invoke the intercession of the Holy
Innocents today and every day to stop the shedding of the blood of the
innocent under cover of law, praying to them especially that Catholics
blinded by the allure of various naturalistic "strategies" to end the
social evils of the day will be reminded of this truth stated by Pope
Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:
For there is no true civilization without a moral
civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion:
it is a proven truth, a historical fact. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ must reign as King of men and nations, my friends. Accept
no naturalistic substitutes from the "Herods" of this world and their
enablers in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who reject the Social
Reign of the Newborn King, Our Divine Redeemer Whom Herod the Great
sought to kill.
Finally, urgent circumstances required me to update the Donations page one final time. It is my hope that those readers who support the work of this site and have the means to assist us will do so within the next week. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. The Holy Innocents, pray for us.
This is the second and concluding part of Monday's article. The focus in this part is on Jorge Mario Bergoglio's "equivalent canonization" of Blessed Father Peter Faber, S.J., which removes yet another mask of pretense from the conciliar "saint making factory" just as Bergoglio has done us the favor of removing the mask of any remaining vestiges of Catholicism in his conciliar church on matters of doctrine, liturgy and pastoral praxis. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint John the Evangelist, a
son of Zebedee, was the youngest of the twelve Apostles. He was a
virgin, a man who offered to His Divine Master, Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ, pure love in a heart that was not sullied by the
world, the flesh and the devil. This youngest Apostle with the purest
heart was permitted to lean on Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ's chest, wherein beat His Most Sacred Heart, at the Last Supper.
And it was this purity of heart possessed by Saint John the Evangelist
that led him to be present at the foot of the Holy Cross and to be given
the singular privilege by Our Divine Redeemer of caring for His own
Most Blessed Mother until the time of her death and bodily Assumption
into Heaven.
Despite what the now retired Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI contended blasphemously in his Jesus of Nazareth book concerning the "disputed" nature of the human authorship of the
Fourth Gospel, Saint John the Evangelist is indeed the human author of
the Fourth Gospel and of his epistles and the Book of the Apocalypse.
Saint John is the Evangelist of the Incarnation of the Word whose Gospel
provides us with Scriptural proofs for the doctrine of the Eucharist
and for the Sacrament of Penance. And the Charity preached by Saint John
the Evangelist was no exercise in empty sentimentality. For it was
Saint John himself who wrote:
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born
of God. And every one that loveth him who begot, loveth him also who is
born of him. In this we know that we love the children of God: when we
love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the charity of God,
that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy. (1
John 5: 1-3)
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us to remain faithful to the Catholic Faith.
Although a new article has been completed, I have
sent it out to be reviewed prior to its being posted. Regardless of how
long that process take, however, there will be an original article
concerning the continued advances made by the socialist brand of
naturalism that are unfolding right before our very eyes.
The shadow of the Holy Cross
hung over the cave in Bethlehem even as the shepherds who had been
called by angels from the nearby fields adored the Infant King alongside
the Mother of God and her Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph. Holy Mother
Church directs our attention to this fact today as we focus on the
truth that the Birth of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in
Bethlehem on Christmas Day was to make possible our own spiritual
rebirth in the Baptismal font and our birth unto eternal life at the
moment of our deaths if we persist to the very end in states of
Sanctifying Grace. The path to our salvation runs directly through the
Holy Cross and it requires us to be willing to sacrifice riches and
honors and pleasures and human respect and even our very lives to bear
witness to Christ the King a He has revealed Himself to men exclusively
through the Catholic Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the
Pope.
Saint Stephen the Protomartyr was willing to lay down
his life as he preached the Gospel of the Divine Redeemer in an attempt
to convert the Jews who were listening to him and engaging him in
disputation. He exhibited the Virtue of Fortitude as he proclaimed the
Gospel in the midst of insults an threats. And Saint Stephen the
Protomartyr exhibited the Virtue of Charity as he prayed for his
executioners, one of whom was the fire-breathing anti-Catholic zealot
named Saul of Tarsus. Saint Stephen's prayers at the time of his
martyrdom and from eternity thereafter won the conversion of Saul, who
became the Apostle to the Gentiles, Saint Paul the Apostle.
Saint Stephen wanted to effect the conversion of his
executioners. He did not seek to reaffirm them in their act of murder or
to reaffirm them in the practice of Judaism. Saint Stephen did not
dismiss or denigrate the gravity of their crimes. He simply did not hold
those crimes against his persecutors as he prayed for their conversion.
We must pray always for those who hate us, for those
who calumniate us, for those who have done us some injury in the past,
for those who have rejected us for one reason or another. Praying for
and forgiving those from whom we are estranged is not an option for a
Catholic. It is an obligation of the interior life imposed directly by
the God-Man Himself in the Sermon on the Mount. If He forgives us so
readily in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, why are we so slow to forgive
others who owe us but an infinitesimally small portion of what we owe
Him for our own forgiven sins? As the late Father John Hardon, S.J.,
noted in a conference in Sterling Heights, Michigan, at which I gave two
presentations, "God permits us to sin so that we can forgive each
other. Let me repeat myself here: God permit us to sin so that we can
forgive each other." A sinner who is contrite and thankful to God never
withholds forgiveness from his fellow sinner. Saint Stephen teaches us
that lesson today. Are we going to learn it once and for all?
Rejoice! Venite Adoremus! Our Saviour has been born for us of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Midnight in piercing cold. Venite Adoremus!
Surrounded by the host of Heavenly angels, the Second
Person of the Blessed Trinity Who was made Man in His Most Blessed
Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person
of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, at the Annunciation nine
months before is born for us this night. The long awaited Messiah comes
as a helpless Infant, born in anonymity, poverty and humility. Bright
radiant beams shine forth from His Holy Face, a Face that would be
marred beyond all recognition by our sins as He walked on the Via
Dolorosa on Good Friday to redeem us on the wood of the Holy Cross and
thus make possible for us eternal life in Heaven in the glory of the
Beatific Vision of God the Father, Himself, the God the Son, and God the
Holy Ghost.
Those bright beams that shone forth from the Newborn
Baby Jesus this morning are meant to shine forth from our own souls as
we grow in the graces that He won for us on the wood of the Holy Cross
and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our
Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. There is no Holy Mass,
where Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is born under the
appearances of bread and wine every time a true bishop or a true priest
utters the terrible words of Consecration, without this holy night. Just
as Our Lord obeyed His Heavenly Father to become Man, so does He obey
mere men when they, whose immortal souls have been conformed to His
Priesthood and Victimhood, utter the words of Consecration over the mere
elements of this earth, making Him Incarnate to feed our bodies and
souls unto eternal life.
There is no regeneration of souls in the Baptismal font or in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance without this holy night.
There is no hope for mankind without this holy night.
There is, as the first Pope, Saint Peter, teaches us,
no "salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven
given to men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4: 12.) Only Christ the
King is God. None other. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of
personal and social order. None other.
We gather around Our Lady, out of whose Virginal and
Immaculate Womb the Newborn Babe passed as light through crystal this
morning, and her Most Chaste Spouse, Good Saint Joseph, to adore Our
Saviour, the very Lamb of God Who takest away the sins of the world,
including yours and, most especially, mine!
May the Joyful Mysteries we continue to pray during
this Octave of Christmas help us to be ever thankful for the great,
incomparable gift that Our Lady gave to us this night as she brought
forth her Divine Son so that He, Who stretched out His holy arms in the
Crib this night, could stretch out this holy arms on the wood of the
Cross to embrace all men to lift them up to the Heavenly Father in
Spirit and in Truth.
On behalf of my wife Sharon and our daughter Lucy, I
wish each of you a most Blessed and Joyous Christmas. This greeting is
extended to all who access this site. No matter the difficulties of the
present moment as false ecclesiastical officials deny the Sacred Rights
of the Social Reign of Christ the King and esteem the symbols of false
religions that are hideous and loathsome in His sight, the peace of
Christ the King that He has entrusted to the Immaculate Heart of His
Most Blessed Mother is something that a believing Catholic must will for
everyone, praying fervently for all whom God's Holy Providence has
placed in his path over the years, including those, of course, from whom
various events have estranged us.
May each of us, united to the Merciful Heart of the
Divine Redeemer that was formed out of us and is united yet to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary, help us to pray for each other as we pray for
the day with all Catholics will speak with one voce (una voce) and will
think with but one mind, that of the Catholic Church, she who teaches
the unchanging truths of the Immutable Triune God.
In addition, to the new article for this day, Christmas Day 2013, the following articles are reflections that have been written over the years. Born to Give Birth to Us All is a variation of a "homily" I wrote for a conciliar "bishop" twenty
years ago and has gone through various redactions in The Wanderer, the
printed pages of Christ or Chaos and on this website. The Christ and His Mass was written six years ago and undergone a few revisions since then. Venite Adoremus was written in 2007. Each of the reflections repeat similar themes,
which is why I decided that any effort of mine to write a new article
would produce something similar to these three. None of my own poor
articles, however, compares to the work of gifted authors who probe the
depths of the Sacred Mysteries. Even none of the work of such gifted
authors, though, captures the inexpressible joy and peace and glory of
his holy night and season. That can be done only in the Holy Sacrifice
of the Mass.
I would be remiss if I closed this update without
thanking the few good souls who sent us Christmas cards and non-tax-deductible
financial gifts, whether by snail mail or online, in recent weeks. Although the numbers of those who support the work of this has dropped this year, we remain grateful to all those who donated in the past and to those who continue to send us what their means permit when they are able to do so. We can only repay you with our poor
prayers.
Thirteen year-old Jahi McMath is on death row now at Children's Hospital in Oakland, California. Her crime? Being the victim of a tonsillectomy to treat sleep apnea that resulted in massive internal bleeding, sending her into cardiac arrest. The sentence? ""Brain dead." There is no room in the inn at Children's Hospital in Oakland, California for Jahi McMath. Little has changed in the world in the past two thousand years. Please pray for Jahi McMath and her family this Christmas Eve.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ is nigh today. He comes to us in Midnight in piercing cold
in Bethlehem. Have we prepared to "make haste," that is, to flee from
the world and its false attractions and promises and "saviours" to
welcome Him in our hearts and souls by means of Holy Communion? Have we
asked His Most Blessed Mother, Who brought Him forth miraculously in the
cave when there was no room for Him in the inn, to help us to make room
for Him in the "inns" of our hearts and souls. Have we asked the Patron
of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, Good Saint
Joseph, to protect and to guide us as we seek out His Divine foster-Son
as He is born for us on Altars of Sacrifice in the Catholic catacombs?
Are we prepared to make this day, Christmas Eve, the Vigil of Christmas,
one final day of penance as we abstain from the eating of meat and as
we have but one full meal? Are we prepared to celebrate this Christmas
with joy and with thanksgiving as the Word Who was made Flesh in Our
Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost
beckons us to adore Him in His Real Presence day in and day out?
Make haste, the Lord is night. Midnight is coming. Are we ready? Make haste. Prepare well. Our Saviour is to be born for us!
Finally, did you see that the two-headed "pope" monster met again yesterday? Perhaps Jorge Mario Bergoglio presented Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI with a gift of sliced and carved Summorum Pontificum under glass. Well, I will work this all into a series that will begin after I complete part-two of yesterday's article. There will be no "Christmas break" with Bergoglio running amok against the Faith and the Mother of God as he is doing.
Attention today is turned to the lawlessness of the reigning caesar, whose administration has been delivering children smuggled into this country to their illegal immigrant parents already living here. What oath of office to see to it that the laws are faithfully executed? Attention tomorrow will be turned to the lawlessness of the universal public face of apostasy, about whom there is really little more that can be said as my article of two days ago now, Blasphemer, has made very clear. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Today is the transferred Feast of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini here in the United States of America.
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini
longed as a child to be a missionary to China. It was Pope Leo XIII,
concerned about Italian emigres to the United States of America being
coopted by the Americanist culture of religious indifferentism and
pluralism and materialism, who sent her packing to these shores. Mother
Cabrini, the foundress of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart,
worked throughout the Americas to preserve the Catholicism of Italians
and others who had migrated to the New World at the end of the
Nineteenth Century and into the beginning of the Twentieth Century. She
labored hard for souls, earning her the trust and admiration of Pope Leo
XIII and his successor, Pope Saint Pius X.
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini longed from her
childhood to save souls, starting with her own, and her zeal to bring
souls to a love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was intense. She
mortified her fear of spiders and other insects as she traveled
extensively throughout the Americas, sometimes doing battle with the
most nefarious of characters and, on one occasion in Nicaragua, battling
gun-toting parents who were upset with her for enforcing authentically
Catholic standards of modesty, very much in line with Our Lady's Fatima
dress code, that made no concessions to any kind of worldly spirit
whatsoever. Mother Cabrini contracted malaria, which would wind up
killing her years later, in her travels. Even malaria, however, did not
stop Mother Cabrini from founding sixty-seven institutions of mercy
(hospitals, orphanages, schools).
We must have the same zeal for souls as Mother
Cabrini, the first and only American citizen to be canonized (leaving
aside, of course, those "canonized" by the counterfeit church of
conciliarism) as we recall the old Italian prayer, "Mother Cabrini,
don't be a meanie, answer my prayer!" Mother Cabrini, help us to go to
the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart of Mary! (This article is accompanied by Mother Cabrini's Shrine: A Pictorial Essay that is composed of photographs my wife Sharon took at the Mother
Cabrini Shrine in the Fort Washington section of the Borough of
Manhattan in the City of New York, New York, on Saturday, December 22,
2007.) Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, pray for us!
Although a relatively brief article, much time was spent putting it together in order to do justice for the Mother of God who as blasphemed yet again yesterday by Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Sadness fills one's Catholic heart to see Our Lady blasphemed as Bergoglio does. Shameful. May God have mercy on us all!
Today is the Feast of Saint
Thomas the Apostle. Saint Thomas did not believe that Our Blessed Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ had risen from the dead on Easter Sunday. Our
Lord told the doubting Apostle to press his finger into His nail marks
and to press his hand into His wounded side. Saint Thomas believed.
Along with the other Apostles, including the one who replaced Judas
Iscariot, Saint Matthias, Saint Thomas became a bold proclaimer of the
Catholic Faith, going to India, where he sacrificed his life for the
Holy Faith.
Saint Thomas the Apostle touched the flesh of the
Risen Saviour with his own hands. He then went on to touch the Body,
Blood, Soul, and Divinity of that same Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
with his own priestly hands as he uttered the words at Holy Mass that
made the Messias incarnate under the appearances of bread and wine. The
very words Saint Thomas uttered after he had touched Our Lord on Low
Sunday, Dominus meus et Deus meus, are what we pray every time a
true priest utters these words at Holy Mass: "Hoc Est Enim Corpus
Meum." As we prepare the celebration of Christmas Day four days from
now, we should ask Saint Thomas to help us reverence Our Lord in His
Real Presence with greater fervor as we grow stronger in the Faith with
every passing day, consecrated as we are to Our Lord through the
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Thomas the Apostle, pray
for us.
Although I covered Jorge Mario Bergoglio's continuing persecution of the Franciscan Firers of the Immaculate six days ago in Jorge The Humble On The Warpath, there is Friars news about this sad matter that can be found at Rorate Caeli Update on FFI Intervention, remembering, of course, that the reporting of the matter on this site is premised upon the belief that a true pope can be "resisted" while "recognized." Nevertheless, however, the latest update contains an authoritative refutation of a report on Catholic World News that was nothing other than piece of propaganda in behalf of Bergoglio and his inquisitor, Fidenzio Volpi, who have resorted to the old Stalinist tactic of accusing enemies of crimes for which they are not guilty.
With apologies for the delay, which was unavoidable, and after a day that began twenty-one hours ago, I present to you pat two of Monday's article. This part takes a little different approach that used in part one, including using two citations that add a bit of "punch" to the text. Take a read--and don't ignore that little icon before the appendix. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
December 18 Update
As you may have noticed by now after nearly a decade of this site's existence, Christ or Chaos is not a blog. I have neither the time or the interest or even the ability to provide "instant" commentaries. Mind you, there are those who do very good work in defense of the Holy Faith with blogs. This is simply not my aptitude or inclination.
Thus it is that, as has been noted very frequently on this site, I am attempting to leave behind a body of work that contains sustained arguments and researched facts while providing, every once in a while, pieces of research that help readers to "connect the dots," shall we say. The next article, although it will not be terribly long, is taking a long time to complete because of research. It should be posted tomorrow.
Another Jorge Mario Bergoglio interview. Another very, very late (or early hour). There are lots of links in this article, including a link to another commentary about this new interview.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Eusebius, pray for us.
Jorge is still on the warpath against his "restorationists." Frederico Lombardi says that Fidenzio Volpi is doing exactly what Bergoglio desires. Gerhard Ludwig Muller is praising the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service for having proven itself to be an "effective remedy against a godless culture." Just more madness from the insane world of conciliarism.
Finally! Here is the concluding part of what turned out to be a seven-part series on Evangelii Gaudium that began sixteen days ago now. Thank you for your patience. Even this final part took longer than I had expected.
Saint Lucy was induced to
worship the idols when a suitor, who was angered by her rejection of him
after she had given away her riches to the poor, betrayed her as
Christian to the pagan officials of the Roman Empire in Syracuse, Sicily
at the beginning of the Fourth Century A.D., in the year 304 A.D. Saint
Lucy could have saved her life if only she worshiped the idols.
Unlike the conciliar "pontiffs," men who have
esteemed the symbols of various and sundry false religions, with their
own consecrated hands, Saint Lucy refused to do so and was immovable
when taken to a house of sin. She refused even to look upon the vice
that was before her. May this immovable foe of religious liberty help us
to see more clearly with the eyes of our immortal souls that the
Catholic Church cannot be in the least responsible for the abominations
and blasphemies and sacrileges and defections from the Faith perpetrated
by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. May Saint Lucy, a model of
purity and gentleness and grace and courage, help us to see so clearly
that we flee to the catacombs where the Faith is protected without any
concessions to conciliarism.
A blessed Feast of Saint Lucy to all who are named
after this great witness to the Faith, especially my dear wife, who took
Saint Lucy as her patron at Baptism, and our dear daughter, Lucy Mary
Therese Norma, who has, of course, a special devotion to the virgin and
martyr from Syracuse, Sicily.
I ask your prayers also for the repose of the soul
of the late Father Salvatore V. Franco, who died on this day ten years
ago now. Father Franco, who suffered from serious heart problems but
died of a form of leukemia that he only found out he had weeks before he
died, was good enough to offer Sharon and the newborn Lucy and me
refuge in his kitchen in Westbury, Long Island, New York, in April of
2002 as he offered the Immemorial Mass of Tradition for us each weekday.
Although I had long before abandoned the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service on Sundays as I moved in "indult" circles, we made the decision
to abandon all putative "offerings" of this abominable travesty during the week
when Father Franco took ill before he died. Father Franco, who was
ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn in 1953, had a heart
attack in 1963 at the age of thirty-seven, an act of God's Divine Mercy
that kept him from being immersed in parish life as the conciliar
revolution proceeded apace. Father Franco kept active, however, offering
Mass and helping souls. We will be forever grateful to him for
providing us with the refuge that he did after Lucy's birth. Eternal
rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May
he rest in peace. Amen. We miss you, Father!
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Lucy, pray for us.
With apologies for the delay, part six of my series on Evangelii Gaudium is hereby presented. It is rather long. Well, it should be long as it has taken the better part of four very long, long days to complete. Given the fact that the time moved well past Midnight as I was completing this part, I decided to cease work and post the article without completing the series. This current part does include commentary on a few recent events that are very relevant to Evangelii Gaudium. There will be a part seven, probably very brief, by tomorrow, Friday December 13, 2013, the Feast of Saint Lucy within the Octave of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Our Blessed Mother gave us two
great miracles on this day 479 years ago. Acceding to the demand of
Apostolic Administrator [later Archbishop] Fray Juan de Zumarraga,
O.F.M., the Mother of God saw to it that Castilian roses grew atop
Tepeyac Hill so that her little "Juanito," Juan Diego, a fifty-five
year-old widower to whom she had first appeared on December 9, 1531,
could provide proof that it was she who had made the request of Fray de
Zumarraga to built a shrine in her honor on the hill where she appeared.
The administrator's guards, who had treated Juan Diego with such
cruelty and even racism, spied those roses and tried to grab them out of
Juan's tilma as he waited to see Fray de Zumarraga. The roses, quite
miraculously, disappeared every time the guards sought to snatch them
away from Juan Diego.
Those Castilian roses were presented by Juan Diego to
Fray Juan de Zumarraga, who knelt before the Indian convert to the
Faith as he gazed upon the miraculous image that Juanito did not know
was there: the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who was clearly expecting
the Baby Jesus. Remember, this was Advent in the year 1531, just
forty-nine years after Christopher Columbus first set foot on the Island
of San Salvador to implant the Cross of the Divine Redeemer in this
hemisphere for the first time since Saint Brendan the Navigator had done
so in the First Millennium.
Our Lady's miraculous image showing her expecting the
Baby Jesus is quite symbolic of the expectant desire she had then--and
has now--for the conversion of the peoples of the Americas to the true
Faith, that each person and each nation be born anew as they submit
themselves to Christ the King through His Catholic Church. Over nine
million indigenous people converted to the true Faith within a short
time following her apparition to Juan Diego on this day 478 years ago,
almost person for person the number of people lost to the Faith as a
result of the Protestant Revolt in Europe. It was almost as though God
was saying to those who left, "Fine. I will have My Mother get new souls
to populate Holy Mother Church and hence Heaven itself."
The Americas were indeed converted to Catholicism,
which is why the devil had to attack the Faith in Latin America with
such ferocity by means of the Masonic revolutionaries who were supported
in both philosophical and monetary terms by the lodges in the nascent
Untied States of America. Great crimes were committed against Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother as a
result. These crimes continue to this day, which is, of course, one of
the reasons that Saint Michael the Archangel appeared with Our Lady as
she spoke to Juan Diego. Our Lady has crushed the head of the serpent
with her heel and Saint Michael the Archangel is our helper to crush him
in our own lives and in the Americas where he reigns, albeit
temporarily, in civil government and in popular culture.
May we rely upon the intercession of Our Lady of
Guadalupe, the Empress and Patroness of the Americas, to help us to be
courageous enough to plant seeds for the conversion of the Americas,
including the United States of America, to the Social Reign of Christ
the King as It must be exercised by the Catholic Church. Perhaps an
extra Rosary today on this glorious feast day will help us to be more
faithful and more courageous in our promotion of the Social Reign of
Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Viva Cristo Rey!
Also, I ask for your prayers today for my brother, who turns sixty years of age on this Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. There are times that I ask myself, "He's sixty! I'm sixty-two! How did this happen?" We must use our time well as eternity depends upon our doing so.
Check back for part seven of today's article tomorrow.
December 11 Update
Part six of my series of Evangelii Gaudium is nearing completion. It would take another three hours to complete work on it, something that would require me to be up until 5:00 a.m. after working late last Monday night/Tuesday morning on the project. No can do. All I do is to ask your forgiveness and to beg your patience. I believe that the article should be posted around 6:00 p.m. today, the Feast of Pope Saint Damasus I within the Octave of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Pope Saint Damasus I, pray for us.
Although I have not updated the Donations page in twenty-nine days, this does not mean that the same need does not exist now and then. It does. Thank you for your consideration.
Although it is early on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin and the commemorated Second Sunday of Advent, I have posted part five of what will be a six-part series on Evangelii Gaudium. Those who read this commentary, whether today or at some point in the next few days, will see why it took so long to complete. Part six should appear on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, the Feast of Pope Saint Damasus. Thank you for your patience.
"I AM THE IMMACULATE
CONCEPTION." Those words, uttered by the Mother of God herself to Saint
Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes, France,
on March 25, 1858, was a Heavenly ratification of the solemn, infallible
proclamation of the doctrine of her Immaculate Conception by Pope Pius
IX on December 8, 1854, in the Bull Ineffabilis Deus. "I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION."
Our Lady was conceived in the womb of her holy
mother, Good Saint Anne, without any stain of Original or Actual Sin in
anticipation of the merits that would be won by her Divine Son, Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the wood of the Holy Cross.
She, the Singular Vessel of Devotion, had the perfect integrity of Adam
and Eve before their Fall from Grace in the Garden of Eden. It is
important, therefore, to get the doctrine of Original Sin right in order
to understand the great miracle worked by God in the soul of the
fairest flower of our race, Our Lady, from the very first moment of her
Immaculate Conception. To get anything about the doctrine of Original
Sin wrong leads to the efforts on the part of Modernists to deconstruct
the doctrinal definitions of Original Sin and of the Immaculate
Conception.
Alas, the Catholic Church, our Holy Mother on earth,
our Mater and Magister, is as spotless as the Immaculate Blessed Virgin
Mary. Holy Mother Church does not deconstruct infallible dogmatic
definitions. Holy Mother Church cannot do so, which is why we need to
pray to Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces and our
Immaculate Queen, to help us to cleave to true bishops and true priests
in the catacombs who make no concessions to the counterfeit church of
conciliarism that has promulgated an abominable "liturgy" and whose
officials feel feel to "reinterpret" dogmatic truths according to
Modernist propositions that have been condemned by the authority of our
spotless Mother on earth, Holy Mother Church.
Mindful of the effects of our own sins on our
immortal souls and of our need to make reparation for them to the Most
Sacred Heart of Jesus through Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart,
may we make the Secret prayer for today's Holy Mass our own: "Receive the saving Victim we offer to Thee, O Lord, on the solemn feast
of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: and grant that,
as we confess that by Thy prevenient grace she was kept free from every
stain of sin; so, by her intercession, we may be delivered from all our
offenses. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and
reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God."
A blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all!
No, this is not an elegy of praise for the late Nelson Mandela. It is, though, a commentary on Jorge Mario Bergoglio's elegy of praise for Mandela, which was based on delusional propaganda and a complete indifference to the evils that the Communist-allied and funded African National Committee perpetrated and those, such as signing one of the most permissive baby-killing law, when Mandela as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1994.
Yes, you will just have to be as patient for part five of my series on Evangelii Gaudium as I have to patient in awaiting more support from the readership of this site for its work to continue. It should be worth the wait, though.
Remember, today is a day of fast and total abstinence.
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Duties of state prevented the completion of part five of Evangelii Gaudium yesterday. As approaching bad weather will keep me home bound today, there should ample time to complete the article for posting by tomorrow.
For the moment, however, I have revised an article in honor of Saint Nicholas of Myra, adding some comments about Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's praise of Jorge Mario Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium in a speech he gave on "economic fairness." Birds of a feather certainly do stick together, don't they?
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Nicholas of Myra, pray for us
Forging ahead with the slow, tedious and horrific work of the commentary on selected passages of Jorge Mario Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium, November 26, 2013, attention is turned today to two passages. There will be more in part five tomorrow and part six, which should be published on Saturday, will be longer still. However, constraints of time limited part four to two passages, which are loaded with a motherlode of revolutionary propaganda. To quote a cleric who was once in our acquaintance, "This is insane!"
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Sabbas, pray for us.
Part four of my series on Evangelii Gaudium is taking a long time to complete. Check back tomorrow.
In the meantime, however, I have simply dusted off an article from September 17, 2013, the Feast of the Impression of the Stigmata on Saint Francis of Assisi, to deal with Jorge Mario Bergoglio's repeating his blasphemous heresy that what he thinks is the Catholic Church is widowed. This is even shorter than yesterday's article.
Finally, I do want to extend a public word of thanks to the five people who made non-tax-deductible financial gifts to support the work of this site yesterday. Some pressing needs were met. Others remain. Thanks for your consideration.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Chrysologus, pray for us. Saint Barbara, pray for us.
Although it was my intention to post this article along with yesterday's commentary, "We Want To Be With You", there was no possibility of completing as work on the review of Timothy Michael Dolan's interview with David Gregory of Meet the Press continued until around 4:30 a.m., Eastern Standard Time.
This is a very short article, dealing with Jorge Mario Bergoglio's blasphemous contention that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ only "pretended" to get angry. How can anyone think that this man is a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter?
Part four of my series on Evangelii Gaudium should appear tomorrow, December 4, 2013, the Feast of Saint Peter Chrysologus and the Commemoration of Saint Barbara. A reference to Jorge Mario Bergoglio's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be sure to make its way into its text.
Today's second article is a slightly revised piece from five years ago, Without Regard for Results,
which contrasts Saint Francis Xavier's missionary zeal for souls and
his hatred of false religions and their idols with conciliarism's
"respect" for them.
Finally, I came across an article yesterday that stung more than little bit. The article, How Should One Address the Holder of a Ph.D.?, explained the proper form of address to be used when corresponding with or speaking to the holder of an earned doctorate with whom one is not on first-name basis as a result of personal friendship or familiarity.
The article also explained that even some people with earned doctorates have fallen prey to the egalitarian mind set that is so prevalent today by refusing to sign their names properly. This is what stung as I have refrained from doing so on this site precisely so as not to "boast" of having one, presuming that most readers know my background and that my e-mail address does begin with the title "Dr." However, the point made by the writer is well-taken, thus giving me food for thought. Yes, we can all fall prey to the egalitarian ethos, even an anti-Americanist such as yours truly.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Francis Xavier, pray for us.
"We want to be with you." "You're pushing away some of your strongest supporters."
Who uttered those words and to whom were they expressed rhetorically on Meet the Press yesterday?
Timothy Michael Dolan spoke those words, which he addressed rhetorically to the reigning caesar, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro.
Although I thought that this commentary would provide a welcome respite from dealing with Evangelii Gaudium after publishing Jorge and Oscar's False Gospel of False Joy, part three two days ago now, it turned out to be longer than I had anticipated. It does not mince any words and covers a lot of territory in the process.
Please pray for repose of the souls of those who were killed in the Metro-North train derailment in the Borough of the Bronx, City of New York, New York, yesterday, December 1, 2013, the first Sunday of Advent and the four hundred eighty-second anniversary of the martyrdom of Blessed Edmund Campion, S.J. (see A Champion for All Ages, which was revised a year ago now and is republished without revisions to account for Jorge Mario Bergoglio's loving embrace of the heretical and schismatic Anglian sect) at the hands of Queen Elizabeth I, and for those who were injured and their families.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Finally, there were 10,704 "unique visitors" to this site last month. As noted in the Donations page update eighteen days ago, the actual number of those accessing this site, if only for a moment before flittering off to some other destination in cyberspace, is far fewer. Still and all, the viewership is large enough to sustain this work, which continues at present only because of two privately solicited non-tax-deductible gifts and the sacrificial gifts made by about fourteen other souls. Some bills have been paid. Others are due now. We need your help. Thank you.
Part four of my series on Evangelii Gaudium will appear, God willing and Our Lady interceding, on Wednesday December 4, 2013, the Feast of Saint Peter Chrysologus and the Commemoration of Saint Barbara. A related article will appear tomorrow, December 3, 2013, the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Bibiana, pray for us.
The drudgery continues, trudging along the mucky path of apostasy being emblazoned by Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his ideologist, Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez.
Remember, it is important to understand the context in which the conciliar revolutionaries make what seem to be Catholic points at various times. To borrow Pope Saint Pius X's words from Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907, Modernists use a "thousand noxious devices" to mask their intentions, including trying to wrap up their heresies and novelties in language designed to appeal to the sensus Catholicus. Do not permit yourselves to be deceived.
Part four should appear tomorrow, the first Sunday of Advent.
Also, Novus Ordo Wire reported yesterday that Jorge Mario Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium's passages on Judaism have convinced Father Paul Kramer, the editor of The Devil's Final Battle, to conclude that the current universal public face of apostasy is not a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. This is a very courageous step, one that will doubtless be greeted with all manner of criticism. Please pray for Father Kramer at this time.
We are in the final few hours
of the liturgical year. The season of Advent, which lasts for
twenty-five days this year, begins with First Vespers for the First
Sunday of Advent this evening (See the revised Anticipating Advent.)
We must prepare ourselves well to commemorate Our Lord's First Coming
in Bethlehem on Christmas Day by preparing to receive Him worthily each
day by His coming us in Holy Communion, making sure to make our full and
integral Confession of our sins on a weekly basis, if this is at all
possible, as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life
permit.
On the Last Day of the Year was written five years ago. It discusses the fact that we must withdraw
from the world during this Advent as we permit the graces won for us by
the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow
into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, the
Mediatrix of All Graces, to help us to see the world more and more
clearly each day through the eyes of the true Faith. A believing
Catholic is not going to be caught in any stampede at a Wal-Mart that
kills a night watchman as happened in Valley Stream, New York, two years
ago now. A believing Catholic is not going to be giving "thanks" to
Mohammedans for "bringing" God "back" to Europe as Jean-Louis "Cardinal"
Tauran did two years ago at around this time. A believing Catholic
seeks to Catholicize every moment of his life, which is why it is so
important for us to reject conciliarism and suffer the consequences from
perhaps even relatives for doing so. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal,
pray for us. Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for us.
November 29 Update
Although the unpleasant and truly joyless work on the next installment on Evangelii Gaudium consumed the better part of last evening, the late night/early morning postings of the past there days required me to cease work as Midnight approached. With apologies for the delay, I hope to have part three of what looks to be a five-part series complete late this evening for your review.
Finally, although I have not changed the date on the page from last year as the Adobe Contribute program on which these pages are created is acting up again for some unknown reason (Word Press is easier; however, it is impossible to move all of the existing files to Word Press and still retain the internal hyperlinks to various sources, including other articles on this site), I am providing a link to Spiritual Resource: Christmas Novena/Novena to the Immaculate Conception.
The Novena to the Immaculate Conception begins today, Friday, November 29, 2013, the Vigil of the Feast of Saint Andrew and the Commemoration of Saint Saturninus, and runs through Saturday, December 7, 2013, the Feast of Saint Ambrose and the Vigil of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Christmas Novena starts tomorrow, Saturday, November 30, 2013, and runs through the Vigil of Christmas, Tuesday, December 24, 2013.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for us. Saint Saturninus, pray for us.
This is another relatively brief commentary on two more passages in Jorge Mario Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium, which was issued two days ago, Tuesday, November 26, 2013, the Feast of Saint Sylvester the Abbot and the Commemoration of Saint Peter of Alexandria and, in some places, of Saint Leonard of Port Maurice, whose The Little Number of Those Who are Saved stands as a great contrast to Bergoglio's "universal salvation."
Time did not permit commentary on more than two paragraphs in Bergoglio's latest revolutionary screed. However, as the document is important in that it provides a clearly defined revolutionary blueprint for the "reformation" of what is believed to be the Catholic Church, I have decided to shelve all other pending work in order to write similarly brief commentaries on approximately twenty to thirty paragraphs found in the "apostolic exhortation."
Once again, of course, there is little "new" in Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium, whose composition certainly had some assistance from Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez. Unlike the random, haphazard talks given in the Casa Santa Marta and elsewhere, however, the current document is "one-stop shopping" for all your "holiday season" apostate needs.
Speaking of the secular "holiday," John Calvin Could Not Be Happier has been republished to provide a bit of Catholic commentary on this day when many people will be gathering to give "thanks" to God for "Pope" Francis.
Finally, birthday wishes are extended to two people today, one of whom is a current reader and the other a former reader of this site. We pray for each every day without fail.
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, pray for us. Saint Catherine Laboure, pray for us.
No, I am not going to provide a line by line commentary on Jorge Mario Bergoglio's Evangelii Gaudium as it is nothing other than a reiteration of every shopworn revolutionary cliche that he has uttered in the past eight and one-half months now. I did think it worthwhile, though, to provide commentary on a few of the passages in this miserable screed of Modernism. Part two will follow tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, pray for us. Saint Vigilius, pray for us.
This is an unexpected follow-up to the commentary published three days ago now. Yes, there is more insanity from Jorge and friends concerning the "hermeneutic of continuity." This new commentary focuses on just one area of rupture between conciliarism and Catholicism: the conciliar teaching on the "new relationship with the faith of Israel."
There will be a brief follow-up, albeit in the context of another article, on last Friday's commentary on the legacy of the late President John F. Kennedy. My article was not meant to be a thorough review of Kennedy's presidency and his public policy positions or his fight against the spooks in the Central Intelligence Agency that may have played a role in his assassination. Books have been written on these subjects that I explored in depth during my thirty years as a college professor of political science both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
My focus was on the legacy of his spirited endorsement, coming courtesy of the words provided him by a Talmudist to speak, of "separation of Church and State," long a cornerstone of the heresy of Americanism. Even though then New York Governor Alfred E. Smith had said much the same thing when he ran for the presidency in 1928 (see Cut From the Same Cloth, which was posted seventy-two months ago now), Kennedy popularized the heresy, and pro-aborts, including members of his own family, have run with it since. That was point of the article, something that I thought had been made clear.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Sylvester the Abbot, pray for us. Saint Peter of Alexandria, pray for us.
More insanity, this time coming from those seeking to put Humpty Dumpty Bergoglio's mass of heresies and errors back together again so that he can adhere to his predecessor's heretical, philosophically absurd and dogmatically condemned "hermeneutic of continuity." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Clement I, pray for us. Saint Felicitas, pray for us. Father Miguel Augustin Pro, S.J., who was martyred on this date eighty-six years ago on the orders of Plutarco Elias Calles, pray for us. Viva Cristo Rey!
Well, a bit of a change of pace for the readership of this site. Although attention will be focused again on Jorge Mario Bergoglio and friends, this commentary is a reflection on the enduring legacy of the late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy: his contribution to enlarging upon the Americanist doctrine that one's "private" beliefs must not influence one's public actions or policy decisions as an elected official of the civil government.
This may be a lengthy article. As our printer is broken and we have no means to replace it, I am unable to tell you its exact length. However, it is in the same category as Not A Mention of Christ the King, which was published forty-five months ago now.
Although he lived a reckless life and died a violent death fifty years ago today, three weeks authorizing the overthrow of the Catholic President of the Republic of Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem, who was then assassinated along with his brother Ngo Dinh Dhu (both were the brothers of the courageous Archbishop Pierre Martin Nguyen van Thuc), we pray that President Kennedy saved his immortal soul. I pray for his soul every day, and it is very clear from the text of the current article that I was a critic of his during his life and remain so after his death.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Cecilia pray for us.
This is a very brief conclusion to the three part series begun two days ago. Attention will be turned to other matters in the next three days before taking a break on Sunday for the day.
Prayers are requested for two friends of ours who were born on this great feast day. We assure both of our prayers for them and their families every day and wish them a most blessed birthday on this great feast day of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Finally, although the response to the Donations page update a week ago today has elicited three responses, something that does not exactly help sustain the work of this site (and that is putting the matter mildly), I linking to a different request for funds, this one coming from e-mail sent by Mrs. Randy Engel, the President of the U.S. Coalition for Life and the National Director of the International Fund for Genetic Research/The Michael Fund that is hereby pasted for your review and your response:
Dear Friends,
This is the first of three special mailings on fetal therapy and Down syndrome from the International Foundation for Genetic Research, popularly known as the Michael Fund.
As part of our annual fund-raising campaign we begin with a short video presentation by Dr. Paddy Jim Baggot, the Director of the IFGR/MF’s Research Division: Michael Fund Video Appeal.
This video, originally designed for the Knights of Columbus, has proven to be an excellent way of introducing both new donors and our many long-time supporters to the life-giving and life affirming research program of the Michael Fund.
It features two newborn infants only a few days old. One has Down syndrome. The other does not. Both children are gifts from God. Both are in training for the race for life. Enjoy.
If you are a new contributor, welcome to our prolife family. If you are a long-time contributor to the Michael Fund, know how much your generosity is appreciated and how necessary it is to the continuation of our prolife research program
God bless you for your charity,
Randy Engel

A blessed Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.
More insanity from the wrecking crew associated with the counterfeit church of conciliarism. There will be a part three, most likely by tomorrow.
Today is the third anniversary of the death of my childhood schoolmate whom I befriended again in 1992 after seeing her in thirty years, Miss Elizabeth Loretta "Betsy" Ehrbar. Betsy's life gave true Catholic inspiration to all who knew her, something this is explained in a brief reflection, "Why Not Me?", last year after learning of her death on this date in 2010.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
This is a relatively short article whose length has been necessitated by the number of events over the last few days that are best to deal with in a three part series. Part two should appear tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20, 2013, the Feast of Saint Felix of Valois, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
This is a brief reflection on the suffering enduring by one of the earliest members of the Third Order of Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, who suffered much at the hands of her family members and even at the hands of the poor whose welfare she provided so generously when her husband, Louis, was the Landgrieve of Thuringia. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, pray for us. Pope Saint Pontianus, pray for us.
November 18 Update
Yes, I really meant it two days ago when postingObamaDeathCare, which was expanded with an additional appendix on Saturday afternoon: there would be a break of one or two days between articles. The next original article on this site should appear tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19, 2013, the Feast of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary and the Commemoration of Saint Pontianus. Thank you for your patience.
Finally, today, the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul, is the first anniversary of the death at the age of ninety-seven years, seven days of +Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D. Please do pray for the repose of his immortal soul. Our Lady will direct the fruit of our prayers to some other deserving soul if Father Martin is not in need of them, which we do not presume in the slightest.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
It would be very tempting to offer regular commentaries on the insanity taking place in the world of naturalism. Perhaps more than half of the over two hundred articles published on this site in calendar year 2012 covered the quadrennial farce that is an American campaign for the office of President of the United States of America. This year, however, there have been fewer such commentaries as the threat to souls--and thus of the entirety of all social order itself--posed by Jorge Mario Bergoglio is greater than that posed by other figures of Antichrist in the world today, such as Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro.
Mind you, this is not to minimize the real danger posed by Obama/Soetoro himself to the eternal welfare of souls. Not at all. It is, however, to state yet again that Obama/Soetoro's rise to power has been made more possible by the counterfeit church of conciliarism's "official reconciliation" with the anti-Incarnational principles of the modern civil state that is utterly defenseless against the triumph of statism as it does not recognize any authority above "the people" and the text of whatever constitution, written or unwritten, that is supposed to govern its operation.
If one can, though, deconstruct, if not ignore, the plain words of Sacred Scripture as Protestants and Modernists do it is fairly easy to deconstruct, if not ignore, the plain words of a constitution of even of an unjust immoral law itself. The laws of God and of men mean nothing to men who are gods and laws unto themselves, and such men have nothing to fear whatsoever from Jorge Mario Bergoglio as long as they "serve the poor."
As noted yesterday morning, there will be a break of one or two days after seven straight days of articles. No, I don't care if Bergoglio stands on his head and declares himself to be the Antichrist. Enough is enough for this week.
It would be nice, however, if readers also read the Donations page that was posted two days ago now. It would be even better if a few readers responded with a non-tax-deductible financial gift. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Gertrude the Great, pray for us!
Jorge Mario Bergoglio continues to demonstrate that he is a pagan, that is, a who projects onto God what he thinks should be His Divine attributes. Bergoglio's latest efforts in this regard came yesterday as he said God "scolds" us without ever "slapping" us, that He is filled with gentle caresses. Go tell that to most of the world's population at the time of the Great Flood. Go tell that to the inhabitants of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha. Go tell that to the religious sisters in Argentina he persecuted and harassed.
As a conciliar revolutionary, Jorge Mario Bergoglio does not believe in a God Who punishes, which is why there are no references to God's Divine Justice to be found in the prayers of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service that he reminded the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter recently they must celebrate, well, at least now and again. Bergoglio does not believe in a God Who punishes. Yet it is that he will punish the traditionally-minded within his false church in order to get complete conformity to his revolution against the Faith of Fathers. Despite all of his condemnation hypocrisy, he is the biggest hypocrite of all, yes, even exceeding the hypocrisy of Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Josaphat Kuncewicz, pray for us.
(Yes, it does appear as though I am going to have to do that which I loathe doing: update the donations page. A relatively mild hint, you understand. Thanks.)
This is a much shorter article than was yesterday's. The subject matter is the "professional courtesy" extended to the death-dealing lords of Modernity from the spiritual death-dealers and robber barons who are lords of Modernism's own counterfeit church of conciliarism. ObamaCare is mentioned in this new piece. It will be the "star of the show" in tomorrow's commentary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Didacus, pray for us.
This is part two of an article whose first part was posted on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Although dealing with events of eighty years ago now, the commentary has great relevance to the civil and ecclesiastical circumstances in which today as Catholic courage in the face of evils is required of us today just as much as it has been in times past when the brute power of the civil sought to impose laws inimical to those of God Himself. This is a long commentary. However, the sources cited, including a March 20, 1932, open letter to Adolf Hitler by Father Ingbert Naab, O.F.M. Cap., an uncle of mystic and stigmatist Therese Neumann, has much application to the times in which we find ourselves. Much application.
Finally, I am providing you with a link to Mrs. Randy Engel's own open letter. Hers is addressed to "Pope Francis" and deals with the sordid subject matter of the sodomite invasion into the precincts of the conciliar church. Mrs. Engel's article contains very graphic descriptions of the vile nature of the sin of Sodom. Readers are advised not to read the article if they want to avoid such descriptions. Those who do read it will understand by the time of her concluding remarks that her purpose in using the descriptions was to make it clear that Jorge Mario Bergoglio is very familiar with them, meaning that he has no excuse before God for his continued enabling of the agenda of the lavender collective. Mrs. Engel, whom I have known for many years now and from whom I have learned much in that time, is to be commended the stomach and the courage that it took to write her open letter to Francis. Perversity has no place in the life of any cleric, whether legitimate or illegitimate. Mrs. Engel makes that abundantly clear.
This part two of yesterday's article. I will endeavor to complete Meet Some Catholics Truly Worth Admiring, part one for tomorrow's posting. Attention will turned on Wednesday to the reigning caesar, his minions and their enablers in the false opposite of the organized crime family of the naturalist "right." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Martin of Tours, pray for us.
November 10 Articles, including Mid-Afternoon Posting of Father Louis J. Campbell's Sunday Sermon
The conciliar authorities in the Vatican have sent out a survey to the conciliar "bishops" of the "local churches" (dioceses) to gauge the pulse of the "people" prior to next year's "extraordinary synod on the family." The questions posed, however, present prima facie evidence of the consequences of their apostate words and actions as they seek to vindicate the attack on the indissolubility of a ratified and consummated marriage begun by Martin Luther and Henry Tudor in the Sixteenth Century that has been continued, of course, by the organized forces of naturalism that can be called Judeo-Masonry. This is part one of two parts. Part two will focus on the efforts of Jorge Mario Bergoglio to transform his false church's teaching on marriage and the family along the lines of Anglican sect's Lambeth meeting in 1930. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Andrew Avelino, pray for us. Saints Tryphon, Respicius and Nympha, pray for us.
Father Louis J. Campbell, the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, has given me permission to post his sermon for today, Sunday, November 10, 2013, the Twenty-fifth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Andrew Avelino and the Commemoration of Saints Tryphon, Respicius and Nympha. I thank Father Campbell for his permission as the readers of this site will profit from his clear, succinct and very understandable commentary on today's Gospel as it applies to the time of apostasy and betrayal in which we find ourselves at this time. Please say three Hail Marys for Father Louis J. Campbell now in gratitude for his fifty-two years of priestly service and for his courage to maintain the Holy Faith in the Catholic underground.
Finally, I was informed yesterday that a parishioner of Saint Athanasius Church in Vienna, Virginia, Mrs. Cynthia Kraus, died in her sleep a few days nights ago, leaving behind eight children between the ages of eight and twenty-two years of age. Her husband died three years ago. Please pray for the immortal soul of Mrs. Kraus and for the needs of her children at this time.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
The conciliar Vatican's own "Joker," Jorge Mario Bergoglio, has been having a lot of laughs this week as he enjoys the conciliar "feast" of merriment and human respect. The "feast" for him, however, will end at his Particular Judgment if he does not repent of his daily mockery of Christ the King and His Sacred Deposit of Faith. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
The final part of Commissar of Antichrist Speaks, part one, which was posted on Thursday, October 31, 2013, the Vigil of the Feast of All Saints, was expanded slightly yesterday afternoon after I reviewed its text in printed form while preparing to send out a package of recent articles to a true priest and to a friend of ours, neither of whom accesses the internet on a regular basis.
Finally, please do pray for the people of the Republic of The Philippines who are in the wake of Typhoon Yolanda, which is what the storm is called there as opposed to Typhoon Haiyan internationally, which is reported to be, at least from initial reports, the strongest, most powerful storm in recorded human history. Our Lady of Good Success prophesied that the weather would change because of the sins of men. The fury of God's wrath is upon us, and all that Bergoglio wants to do is fast, not make reparation for his many sins and those of the whole world as the consecrated slave of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I spent three weeks in The Philippines in August of 1991 while visiting a true bishop, Bishop Felix Zafra, now deceased, of Tagbilaran City. The island of Bohol, on which Tagbilaran City is located, has some of the poorest housing conditions that I have seen anywhere (others being in Brazil, parts of northern Mexico, the Caribbean, Argentina and Detroit, Michigan). The homes there are particularly vulnerable to the fury of this current storm. Please pray for these good people, many of whom are Catholic (those who are Protestants there are the living legacy of the unjust, immoral American invasion and occupation of The Philippines during and after the Spanish-American War in 1898), as they endure this chastisement in our present time of apostasy and betrayal. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for them, pray for us all.
As this concluding part of my commentary and analysis of Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga's identical lectures recently took a full ten hours to complete, do not expect to see another original article on this site until Friday, November 8, 2013, the Octave Day of the Feast of All Saints. This one, however, should keep you a little busy until then. If I had the time and the ability, I would seek to publish this four-part commentary as booklet. Seriously, I do hope that this part helps to make it clear for those who are "still on the fence" that it is impossible for the Catholic Church to countenance an agenda that openly disparages everything to do with the "past" in order to put the "new wine" of concilairism into wineskins of their own synthetic making. Our Lady of All Saints, pray for us.
The revolutionary boldness of Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga is truly astounding. The brutal honesty with which he spoke on October 25, 2013, in Irving, Texas, and on October 28, 2013, in Miami, Florida, give "conservatives" and delusional "Motu" supporters no room for hiding as the Honduran apostate has told us very directly that the "past" is over. We must "return to Jesus," which means that Holy Mother Church has strayed from her Divine Founder, Invisible Head and Mystical Bridegroom for most, if not all, of her existence. The truth is plain for all to see. We must pray to Our Lady for our own perseverance and that others will have the courage to break with human respect to flee from the spiritual robber barons of the conciliar church once and for all. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Although I thought that I could avail myself of the change in time this morning, it was within God's Holy Providence that the latter part of this article got "eaten" by the Adobe program on which it was being written. This meant either shelving it for a day or rewriting the part that got eaten.
Obviously, I chose the latter course, which is why, at a very late/early hour, I will explain in simple terms that the article contains some interesting photographs, including a "prayer card" produced by the Order of Friars Minor in conciliar captivity that has the following words on it: "Saint Francis and Pope Francis, pray for us."(I thank Mr. Frank Rega, the author of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Conversion of the Muslims, for sending me the photograph, which is on his blog, also linked in this article.) I kid you not.
The series on Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez's recent address will continue tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us, pray for the Poor Souls.
As the title suggests, this current article continues the work begun yesterday. Given Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez's redundant text, the essence of which is revealed in the passages analyzed yesterday and today, perhaps one or two more parts of this commentary need to be completed before resuming work on other projects that have put put aside temporarily.
Our one and only goal in this
life is to get home to Heaven by dying in a state of Sanctifying Grace
as a member of the Catholic Church. Absolutely nothing else matters. The
path to Heaven runs through the Cross of our Divine Redeemer, Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as we consecrate ourselves to Him
totally through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed
Mother. We must embrace suffering and humiliation and hardship with
equanimity, joy and gratitude, mindful of the fact that Our Lady desires
use whatever merits we earn from our embrace of our sufferings for the
honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity and for the good of souls,
especially the Poor Souls in the Church Suffering in Purgatory, whose
intentions we must remember every day and especially during this month
of November. There is no other path to the triumph of the empty tomb
other than the suffering of the Cross.
We must also forgive right readily those who have
offended us in any way and to ask forgiveness from those whom we have
offended, whether advertently or inadvertently. Nothing anyone does to
us or says about us is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins
caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred
Humanity during his Passion and Death and that caused His Most Blessed
Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and
through with Seven Swords of Sorrow. The good, the bad and the ugly of ever person's life is revealed only on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the living and the dead. Let us be content to bear with suffering, humiliation, ostracism and mockery now as a means of so dying to self that we will consider it to be a great honor to be crushed and brought low in the sight of men. Suffering is indeed the path to triumph!
We must continue to pray for each other on a daily
basis, praying especially that the disagreements of the present moment
in this time of apostasy and betrayal will be washed away by the merits
of the Most Precious Blood of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
and by the maternal intercession of His Most Blessed Mother. If we want
to be in Heaven for all eternity, you see, in the presence of the Most
Blessed Trinity, Our Lady, Saint Joseph and all of the angels of the
saints, then it is a pretty good idea to pray for everyone whom God's
Providence has placed in our paths, hoping that those from whom we might
be estranged at the present time, especially because of the divisions
among Catholics created by conciliarism and its apostasies, will be
united with us for all eternity in the glories of Heaven, please God
that each of us dies in a state of Sanctifying Grace.
One of ways in which we can practice true Charity is
to remember the Poor Souls every day in our prayers. Terrible, terrible
sinner that I am, one of my devotions has long been to the Poor Souls.
To help the Poor Souls repay the debt that they can no longer pay for
themselves is to acquire friends for eternity who will help us at the
moment of our own deaths. Charity to the Poor Souls can help to undo our
own uncharity to others in this passing, mortal vale of tears. This is
indeed the month of the Poor Souls. Let us show them our due attention
each and every day of the year, especially in this month of November.
Remember, of course, that from noon today on All
Saints' Day through midnight of the Commemoration of All Souls tomorrow
the Catholic faithful, as often as they visit a church or to pray for the dead, reciting six times during each visit the
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be for the intentions of Holy Mother
Church may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the souls in
Purgatory, under the usual conditions of making a good Confession within
a week before or after, worthily receiving Holy Communion within the
week and having the right intention of heart. This is called the Toties Quoties Indulgence.
Given the importance of a speech given last week at the Irving [Texas] Convention Center by Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez, work on the article that I had expected to post today is being postponed for a few days more as is part two of Meet Some Catholics Truly Worth Admiring, part one.
Indeed, several additional segments to provide commentary on Commissar Maradiaga Rodriguez's openly revolutionary, pro-Modernist speech that was given without any of the philosophically absurd and dogmatically condemned intellectual gymnastics required by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II's "living tradition" and Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's "hermeneutic of continuity" that were used up to eight months ago to teach what Bergoglio and Maradiaga Rodriguez are teaching presently in much plainer, bolder terms.
Remember, this is a day of fast and partial abstinence. Avoid contact with all costume parties today, including those sponsored by men wearing costumes as officials of the Catholic Church who are nothing other than openly Modernist revolutionaries of the highest order.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
October 30 Update
Still recovering from a very penitential bout with the flu, it is prudent to cease work on the next original article for this site, although I do want to note that yesterday's article was updated in the afternoon to reflect information that had been published three years ago on this site but had simply forgotten, namely, that the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, even though he voted against Gaudium et Spes and Dignitatis Humanae on December 7, 1965, did sign each of those documents. I thank the reader whose rather brusque pseudonymous note yesterday morning prompted me to research my own work to refresh my memory about the matter. This has been reflected in the body of yesterday's article.
The new article should appear, God willing and Our Lady interceding, by the Vigil of All Saints, Thursday, October 31, 2013. Thank you for your patience.
Here's a yawner. It's "Happy Deepavali" time at the "Pontifical" Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue again. Has it really been a year? It makes no difference. It's the same every year, which is why I am not reinventing the wheel on this one. Been there, done that. Been there, done that far too much. Let these two articles serve as an antidote to "Happy Deepavali:" Have a Happy and Happy Vesakh, No, I Mean, Happy Diwali, Oops, Let's Try Again, Ah, Yes, Happy High Holy Days. Like his conciliar bosses over the years, Jean-Louis Tauran, who once praised Mohammedans for "bringing God back to Europe," is a broken apostate record.
Finally, I have just learned that Dr. Paul Byrne has published a new article about the latest human being to be killed by means of the medical industry's manufactured myth of brain death. Please read: Execution in a New York hospital. This is only going to get worse under ObamaCare as the website problems associated with this statist monstrosity are nothing in comparison to the kind of "health" that will be administered by its death-dealers.
Reasons of physical weakness brought on by a case of the flu and the flare-up of some arthritis that required me, yes, at long last, to consent to that which has helped Sharon and Lucy so much, chiropractic care, have kept this article relatively brief. Tomorrow's however, may be a bit longer. Yes, our own "Balloon Boy," Jorge Mario Bergoglio, will be the star of tomorrow's article (and perhaps he is noticing as there have been page uploads and eleven "hits" from the Vatican City State this month, which is more than usual), God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Simon and Jude, whose feast we observed yesterday, pray for us.
Today is the great feast of the
Universal Kingship of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
instituted by Pope Pius XI by the issuance of Quas Primas,
December 11, 1925, to counteract the naturalism and the anticlericalism
that was spreading so wildly in the world and attracting so many
Catholics away from the Faith. This is the eighty-fifth observance of
the Feast of Christ the King since the issuance of Quas Primas. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
As we live in the midst of the insanity, the utter
madness of the absolute farce that is our Judeo-Masonic governmental system, we must always be champions of Christ the King as His totally
consecrated slaves through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart. Our Lord is meant to be King of both men and their
nations. We must never fall for the diabolical trap posed by the
organized forces of naturalism in our country. We must rally at all
times to the cause of Christ the King, Whose cause is defended by
neither the naturalists in political parties or the conciliarists in the
counterfeit church of conciliarism.
This republished article on the Feast of Christ the King stresses the differences between the feast as it was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925 and the conciliar observance of the feast at the end of November so as to signify the eschatological Kingship of Our Lord at the end of time, not His Social Kingship over men now.
As promised, this a follow-up article to Standing On Principle Only To Please The Jews. This commentary contrasts Erich Priebke's adherence to the Nazi ideology, condemned by Pope Pius XI in Mit Brennender Sorge, March 17, 1937, and his rationalization of Nazi crimes by comparing them to the unquestionable crimes of other nations, including the United States of America (see Public Life Is Stained With Crime), with the courage of two Catholic priests, Father Maximilian Kolbe, M.I., and Father Rupert Mayer, S.J.
Other examples will be given in part two, which will follow in three of our days, depending upon the amount of time that it takes to transcribe passages from three different books and as I work to put together what could be called "The Book on Bergoglio" that is attempting to systematize the insanity of the past seven months. Let's fact it: Bergoglio is not really saying anything terribly new these days. He has established his themes, and they are simply one regurgitated revolutionary canard after another that he learned in his years prior to his presbyteral installation in 1969 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Tomorrow's original article will, of course, focus on the Social Reign of Christ the King, and it will be accompanied by a republished article.
What more needs to be said? Yes, the false "pontiff" addressed a group of Talmudists yesterday yet again. It is only for the sake of helping those who are relatively new readers to this site that this commentary was prepared as there is really little "new" to say about a man who keeps repeating the same old conciliar apostasies to the point of absolute absurdity.
The follow-up article to Standing On Principle Only To Please The Jews should appear tomorrow, Saturday, October 26, 2013, Our Lady's Saturday and the Commemoration of Pope Saint Evaristus, and its focus will be not so much on Erich Priebke, who justified his direct role in the Ardeatine Caves massacre by saying that he had to "obey" Adolf Hitler's orders or else face certain death, but on the brave Catholics who did resist Hitler and who were unafraid of giving up their lives for the Holy Faith. They are the true heroes of the Catholic Faith during the Nazi era, not those who permitted themselves to be swept up in the Nazi ideology and then rationalized their own crimes by comparing them to those of others.
DUI Apostate Update: Salvatore Cordileone, the probationer who is the conciliar "archbishop" of San Francisco, California, has praised so-called "natural family planning" as a essential part of the "new evangelization." There will be an appropriate commentary on this by Monday, October 28, 2013, the Feast of Saints Simon and Jude. For the time being, however, permit me to refer you to Forty-Three Years After Humanae Vitae, Always Trying To Find A Way and Planting Seeds of Revolutionary Change as an antidote to this madness. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Chrysanthus and Daria, pray for us.
Although this covers familiar ground, with which longtime readers of this site should be familiar by now, it is a new composition to explain yet again that nothing short of Catholicism can retard the evils of naturalism. This is why anyone who thinks that a naturalism of the false opposite of the "right" can retard a naturalism of the false opposite of the "left" is as defiant, perhaps ignorantly so, of the teaching of our true popes that tell us what must happen when the civil state does not recognize the Catholic Faith and accord It the favor and protection of the laws as are the conciliar revolutionaries themselves.
We live in a world where the likes of men such as Thomas Foley, who enabled the merchants of death in public life, are hailed in death as "models of civility," and men such as former State of Kansas Attorney General Philip D. Kline must be persecuted for holding the merchants of death to account for their crimes. Such is a world without Christ the King. Such is a world of Martin Luther and the agents of Judeo-Masonry.
Included in this article is a link to an interview with the late Erich Priebke that was conducted three months before his recent death. As noted in a slightly revised version of Standing On Principle Only To Please The Jews, the Society of Saint Pius X issued a clarification about Priebke to say that he had gone to confession and had contrition for his sins. Deo gratias. Everything else is left to the mercy of God insofar as the fate of his immortal soul.
There remain, despite many valid points, very troubling aspects to the interview that he gave even in its full, unfiltered text as Priebke sought to rationalize the crimes committed by the Third Reich by comparing them to those of the supposedly "superior" nations who called themselves the "Allies." A follow-up article to my original commentary will be posted, probably by late tomorrow morning, as, leaving aside the myth-making, money-making industry of victimology that followed War War II, crimes such as the killings Priebke carried out under direct orders from Adolf Hitler in the Ardeatine Caves cannot be justified before God by comparing them to the crimes of others. Once again, however, I part company with anyone who thinks that Priebke is a hero as no amount of rationalization can justify that which is repugnant in the sight of God, Whose immutable laws apply at all times, including in warfare.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.
This article was published on October 31, 20009, eight days after the death of a great judicial champion of Christ the King, Judge Robert J. McOsker, in the State of Rhode Island, at the age of eighty. His Honor was a truly devoted son of Our Divine King and a tenderly devoted client of Our King's Most Blessed Mother.
This very brief article continues to be a a
reminder that all of the evils being fomented by the current
presidential administration are, of course, the result of the overthrow
of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt
and the rise of Judeo-Masonry and its assortment of naturalistic
philosophies and ideologies. We will be forever spinning our wheels as
long as we think that we fight naturalism with naturalism. Catholicism
is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. It is sad to see so many Catholics caught up in the agitation of the moment as to believe that there is something short of Catholicism that can stop the evils of the day is to believe exactly what is taught by the conciliar revolutionaries.
It is thus rare in this world of naturalism and Pelagianism where "conservatives" give no thought to the Social Reign of Christ the King or True Devotion to Mary to find a champion of Christ the King
today as a result of the effects of the false ideas of Modernity and the
heresies of Modernism. This article, therefore, discussed, if ever so briefly, the
life of the late Judge Robert J. McOsker, a
devoted son of Our Lady and her Most Holy Rosary.
Eternal rest grant
unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen.
Yes, there will be an original article tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding. Work is proceeding, although very slowly, on the compilation of an e-book and print-on-demand book that attempts to systematize Jorge Mario Bergoglio's constant "themes" so as to avoid the redundancy that must characterize articles written contemporaneously to comment on the false "pope's" repeated themes and "random thoughts."
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
October 22 Update
As the entirety of yesterday afternoon and part of last evening was spent dealing with the massive bureaucracies associated with Verizon Wireless to get a replacement phone after the horrific thing that I have been using for the pat nine months took a most unexpected swim in a cup of water while driving with the family on Sunday, I am not going to attempt to start another article at 12:40 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, today, Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
For the time being, though, I want to refer you to several previous articles that have dealt with Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's views of Lutheranism, which, as is his particular wont, he repeated for the umpteenth time in the past seven months just yesterday, Monday, October 21, 2013, the Feat of Saint Hilarion and the Commemoration of Saint Ursula and Companions: Francis The Hun, Francis The Illusionist, Part One and FrancisThe Illusionist, Part Two.
As Jorge Mario Bergoglio and friends have kept me rather busy (have you noticed?) the past seven months, I have not spent very much time dealing with caesar and his hapless opponents. Although I have not given up writing articles on the farce that is naturalism, I have written hundreds upon hundreds of articles on this site to remind readers that all of the agitation of a particular moment as governing-class crisis is manufactured to take money of our money and legitimate freedom is the logical, inexorable result of the Protestant Revolution's overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King that was institutionalized by the rise of Judeo-Masonry. Even Catholics believe that there is some kind of naturalistic "solution" to "stop Obama." There is no such thing.
Why is it so difficult for Catholics to understand and accept the simple truth that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order?
Why is it so difficult for Catholics to realize that a land that promotes each of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance is never going to be blessed by God with material well-being within or national security from foreign aggressors until and unless the promotion of evils under cover of the civil law stops and men make reparation for their sins?
Another late or early hour. This article took much longer to complete than was thought at first as it required a lot of time to document the pitched battles that were fought in the past by conciliar "bishops," priests/presbyters and members of the laity, including this writer for a long time, over the "translations" and "compositions" that were the work of the so-called International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL).
Each of those battles was, as I came to realize even before giving up the false belief that the conciliar church was the Catholic Church, absurd as even the Latin editio typica of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service is hideous in the sight of the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, and is invalid and thus sacramentally barren on its face. Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the "president" of the conciliar assembly, shall we say, just validated ICEL's revolutionary work. Thank you for your patience of the time that it took to complete this article.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John Cantius, pray for us.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio has had a busy few days, including today, Friday, October 18, 2013, the Feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist. An address he delivered earlier today is the subject of the next article, upon which work begins immediately, to appear on this site. In the meantime, however, the current article is the conclusion of the two-part series begun two days ago. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Luke the Evangelist, pray for us.
Seems as though there as a little mayhem in Albano, Italy, in a situation that gave the most notorious public sinners of all, the conciliar revolutionaries, a chance to show their "bona fides" once again to the ancient enemies of Christ the King. Just another day in the life of a false church. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, pray for us.
Do you think that you have
sufferings from family members or associates? The saint who is
commemorated today, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, who was favored with
visions of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in her childhood
and believed this to be a normal experience that any child might have,
suffered tremendously in her youth from a pair of domineering paternal
aunts, who persecuted her and her mother after her father's death. This
early childhood suffering, which was accompanied by a physical
affliction that left her bedridden for four years, was just a
preparation for the suffering that Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque endured
to spread public devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at the
specific request of Our Lord Himself.
The hearts of men had grown cold because of Jansenism
when Our Lord revealed the secrets of His Most Sacred Heart to Sister
Margaret Mary Alacoque in the Visitation Convent in Paray le Monial,
France, between December of 1673 and June of 1685. We cannot let our own
love for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus grow cold in our hearts. We
must forgive as we are forgiven, and we must remember the high price of
infidelity that France paid for the refusal of King Louis XIV to
consecrate the whole of France, and not just Paris, to the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus (as is related in an appendix to this article). Saint
Margaret Mary Alacoque, an intimate of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
and a faithful client of Our Lady through her Most Holy Rosary, pray for
us.
Given that there have been five late night postings followed by little rest, part two of the series begun yesterday will not be completed until late Friday night. An article on the farce in Washington, District of Columbia, that agitated so many Catholics even though the outcome was completely predictable, may appear as soon as Sunday. Thank you for your patience.
Bergoglio takes no breaks. He has had a busy two days thus far since his so-called "consecration" (or was it even that?) on Sunday. There are not enough hours in a day to deal with this disciple of the adversary, which is why part two of this article will appear, God willing and Our Lady interceding, tomorrow, Thursday, October 17, 2013, the Feast of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Hedwig, pray for us.
Although I had intended to post two articles today, including one dealing with Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's doubleheader assault upon his favorite straw men yesterday, Monday, October 14, 2013, the Feast of Pope Saint Callistus I, the current article took a long time to complete. Justice cannot be done to the second article at a little after 1:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time this morning, Tuesday, October 15, 2013, the Feat of Saint Teresa of Avila.
Thus it is that you are "stuck" with the article that did get posted this morning. The title is pretty much self-explanatory. After all, to come to the conclusion only now, seven months after a steady dose of Modernism from Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, that the currently reigning universal public face of apostasy is a "pure Modernist" speaks volumes about the absurdities and contradictions that must be held by those in the "resist while recognize movement." I know. Been there done that. The situation is very clear now, and the clear truth is this: a Modernist is not a Catholic and non-Catholic cannot be a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter.
Finally, the work is indeed all-consuming these days. The support, no matter the increased number of this site's readers in the past two months, very lacking. Please do consider making a non-tax-deductible financial gift (see Donations).
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Teresa of Avila, pray for us.
Another very late hour. This is a rather lengthy article, yes, for a change. (Smile.)
However, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis was busy blaspheming Our Lady yesterday as he totally ignored her Fatima Message and her Most Holy Rosary, using a "consecration" to her Immaculate Heart to proselytize in behalf of conciliarism's "preferential option for the poor." This little man from Argentina is simply beneath contempt. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Pope Saint Callistus I, pray for us.
Finally, remember, there was an original article published yesterday: Francis Rallies The Forces of Antichrist. There might be one tomorrow as well. Keep checking. Thank you.
From Sikhs to Anglicans and to Talmudists. It's been a very busy week for Jorge Mario Bergoglio and his pals as they rally the forces of Antichrist to put the final touches on the One World Church of Ecumenism. It is truly remarkable to live in these times. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Edward the Confessor, pray for us.
There are also three revised articles that are being offered for your reading pleasure today, the Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Edward the Confessor. This is, of course, the ninety-sixth anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun and Our Lady's final
apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the
Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal.
Although work continues on the next original article, which will be as lengthy as Thursday's article, With Full Malice Aforethought, part two, to attempt to complete it at the late hour of this current posting, around 1:30 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, would be suicidal madness as I would be up for another five hours or so. After a blessed day filled with the penance of dealing with an electrical problem in our automobile that remains unresolved, prudence dictates that I put aside the article until later today. It should be posted by late this evening, God willing and Our Lady interceding. In the meantime, of course, do take advantage of the unexpected lull to read Thursday's article.
For the moment, though, I offer you a very brief my tribute to the work of Christopher
Columbus, who planted the Cross of the Divine Redeemer on the shores of
the Americas so that the peoples and the lands of the "new world" could
be won for Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through His true
Church and by te intercessory power of the Mother of God. It is being republished today, Saturday, October 12, 2013, as it was on this date in 1492 that Columbus landed on the Island of San Salvador. I do not follow the secular "holiday" schedule, thank you very much!
Oh, speaking of the Federal government, I hate to say that I told you so. However, I did provide you with an "outline" of how the latest Judeo-Masonic sideshow in Washington, District of Columbia, was going to play out in the ensuing days. I was not wrong. What happens in a system of naturalism? Naturalism win every time. There will, however, be a follow-up article to With Full Malice Aforethought, part one at some point in the coming week.
Today is the Feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Council of Ephesus (431 A.D.) declared Our Lady
to be the Mother of God. This is a doctrine that that the devil
particularly hates, which is why he has raised up all manner of
Protestant sects to attack it with a fury, which we why we must defend
the doctrine of the Divine Maternity of Our Lady with all of the graces
that she sees fit to send us through her loving hands as the Mediatrix
of All Graces.
As Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., explained in The Light of the World, Volume II:
"Fifteen hundred years have passed since Nestorius, a Patriarch of
Constantinople, launched the heresy which taught that the person of
Christ was different from the person of the Son of God. Nestorius
asserted that Mary did not conceive nor bring forth the Second Person of
the Blessed Trinity, but only the man Christ. According to his teaching
she was not the Mother of God, not a God-bearer, but only the mother of
a mere man, in whom God dwelt only as in a temple. A few years later
after the beginning of the Nestorian heresy, a council was assembled at
Ephesus (431 A.D.), which proclaimed that Mary had given birth to Jesus,
who was, at one and the same time, God and man, having two natures but
one person. God does not live in Him merely as in a temple, but the man
Jesus is at the same time God. Mary is mother, not only of the humanity
of Christ, but of the Son of God also. She is the Mother of God. The
people of Ephesus awaited the decision of the council hall were opened
and the decision was made known, the people greeted the Fathers with
great rejoicing and accompanied them to their dwellings with flaming
torches, crying out: 'Mary is the bearer of God; Mary is the Mother of
God.' Today, fifteen hundred years later, we make the same joyful
confession.
"Mary is the mother of Jesus, the Son of
God. The Gospel recounts an incident of His childhood during which He
first refers to His divine origin. When Jesus was twelve years old,
Joseph and Mary went to Jerusalem to offer sacrifice. 'When they
returned, the child Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and His parents knew it
not.' They believed Him to be in the company of relatives. But they
were mistaken. After a long and anxious search they found Him in the
Temple, sitting among the doctors of the law. 'And His mother said to
Him: Son, why hast Thou done to so us? Behold Thy father and I have
sought Thee sorrowing.' This rebuke shows the concern of a mother who
has borne suffering with love. But Jesus meekly answers: 'Did you not
know that I must be about My Father's business?' He refers to His
Heavenly Father, for He is Son of God. He was conceived, not by the
power of man, but by the power of God (Offertory). When the angel had
first brought the message to Mary, she had answered: Behold the handmaid
of Lord; be it done unto me according to thy word" (Luke 1: 38). And at
her word, the only-begotten Son of God was made flesh in the womb of
the Virgin Mother. We pray tribute to this mystery at the Communion,
when we confess, 'Blessed is the womb of the Virgin Mary, which bore the
Son of the eternal Father.' Blessed art thou, O holy Mother of God, who
wert united to the Son of God in a most intimate union when thou didst
bear Him in thy womb.
"Mary provided the body for the Son of God, and he
in return Christ filled the soul of Mary with the fullness of His
spirit. Mary became wholly absorbed in Him and became like Him. She
became united to Him in a most intimate union. 'Alleluia, alleluia.
Virgin Mother of God, He whom the whole world cannot contain, enclosed
Himself in thy womb, being made man, Alleluia.' 'Hail Mary, full of
grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.'
" 'As the vine, I have brought forth a pleasant odor,
and my flowers are the fruit of honor and riches' (Epistle). The
blossoms on this vine are the precious virtues of faith and humility
which the Virgin exhibited when she received the message of the angel.
She was resolute in her attachment to her virginity: "I know not man"
(Luke 1: 34). Yet she is obedient to the will of God and speaks her
fiat: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done unto me according to
thy word" (Luke 1: 38). "My flowers are the fruit of honor and riches,"
Christ the Lord. "There shall come forth a rod out of the root of
Jesse," Mary, who is sprung from the house of David; "and a flower shall
rise up out of his root," Christ, the Son of Mary (Gradual). Humanity
and divinity are united in this one person. 'Come over to me, all yet
that desire me, and be filled with my fruits' (Epistle). Mary does not
keep her child for herself; she bequeaths Him to us when He is born at
Bethlehem, when He is offered in the Temple, and when He offers Himself
up on the cross. She gives Him to us again daily in Holy Communion. Mary
has borne Christ for us. Together with her Divine Son, she has given us
salvation and an abundance of grace. She stands even today at the
throne of God as our advocate and or all-powerful intercessor, armed
with irresistible intercessory power, the mother of all those who are in
the state of sanctifying grace.
"We renew our faith in the mystery of Mary's divine
motherhood. 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.' God is
thy child, having taken His humanity from thy flesh.
" 'Come over to me . . . and be filled with my
fruits,' for it is Christ Jesus whom I give you. He was first given to
us when we were reborn through baptism: He is given to us today at Mass
and Holy Communion: 'Hath He not also with Him given us all things?'
(Rom. 8: 32.) Since Mary has given us all things through Christ, we
today express our gratitude to her." (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World, Volume II, B. Herder Book Company, Saint Louis, Missouri, 1954, pp. 440-442.)
As yesterday's article took all day Tuesday into the early hours of yesterday morning to complete, the next original article on this site will not appear until tomorrow, Saturday, October 12, 2013. Obviously, it will deal with the devilishly busy man masquerading as a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter at the Casa Santa Marta inside the walls of the Conciliar Occupied Vatican on the West Bank of the Tiber River.
A blessed Feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all!
Attention turns back once again to Jorge Mario Bergoglio in a variety of ways today. The man is as busy as the demons, whose work he is doing with special delight in the belief that he is "renewing" the Catholic Church. Behold the Great Apostasy at work. More tomorrow.
Those who read part one yesterday had a "sneak preview" as to how the latest sideshow of naturalism would end in Washington, District of Columbia. It doesn't take a great deal of intelligence to know how these games end: the false opposite of the "left" always wins. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
Prayers are requested for a traditional Catholic friend of ours from Mississippi who underwent an emergency quadruple bypass surgery after her doctor discovered that three arteries leading to her heart had an eighty percent blockage. According to her sister, who is also a dear friend of ours, a traditional Catholic priest administered the Sacrament of Extreme Unction and prayed with her before she underwent surgery. Her recover is expected to be slow and painful. However, we know that our friend, who offers up her sufferings so very well, will prosper under the crosses that have been given to us as she loves the Cross of the Divine Redeemer and is totally consecrated to Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Finally, I ask you to pray for the
repose of the soul of my late father, Dr. Albert Henry Martin Droleskey,
who who would have turned ninety-three years of age today had he not died at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 1992, at Flower
Memorial Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Eternal rest grant unto him, O
Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of
the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in
peace. Amen.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Francis Borgia, a true, faithful coworker of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.
Today, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro gets attention turned on him once again in a very brief yet comprehensive manner. Jorge is once again the star of the show tomorrow as he continues his almost daily attacks on the "no church." Both men are the ultimate "end products" of the revolutions to which they are committed, and each is a figure of Antichrist in his own diabolical right. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John Leonard, pray for us. Saints Dionysius, Eleutherius and Rusticus, pray for us.
It will be time to give caesar and his friends a bit of attention tomorrow or Wednesday depending upon when the article can be completed (and unlike my recent series and the new article for today, the next article will just have to wait if it is not completed before a reasonable hour!).
We must
never tire of reminding our fellow Catholics that Our Lady's Most Holy
Rosary is, after the perfect prayer, the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass, the most powerful prayer we have to make reparation for our own
sins and those of the whole world as we seek the conversion of all men
to the true Faith, the Catholic Faith, before they die and to fight the
heresies of Modernity in the world and Modernism in the counterfeit
church of conciliarism. We must promote the Rosary and pray it with
fervor and devotion. Our Lady implored us at Fatima to pray the Rosary
daily. How can we refuse her? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope
Saint Mark I, pray for us. Saints Sergius, Bacchus, Marcellus, and
Apuleius, pray for us.
Here is the conclusion of my series about the Jorge Mario Bergoglio interview with Eugenio Scalfari. I don't know how long it is. However, it is probably longer than the others as it has taken part of Thursday night and all day Friday to complete. There will be follow-up commentary in a few days. For the moment, however, I need a few days to recuperate from this writing. I thank you in advance for your patience.
By the way, there is a Donations page for those of you who are new to this site, which is supported solely by its readership. The list of those who make such non-tax-deductible financial gifts is rather exclusive. You, too, can join this club. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Placidus and Companions, pray for us.
October 4 Update and Republished Article
At 2:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, work on part five of my series on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's interview with atheist Eugenio Scalfari is being stopped for some sleep. Nothing Random About This, part four was published about five hours ago now, and that should keep you busy for a little while. It is my hope to have part five completed by late today, Friday, October 4, 2013, a day on which a man who has taken the name of Saint Francis, who hated heresy and tried to convert the Mohammedans, is going to Assisi, Italy. Gee, what happened on September 27, 1996? Oh well, I guess it will come to me. Thank you for your patience as I continue the work on the new series. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the
Seraphic Saint, Saint Francis of Assisi, who was born as Giovanni di
Bernardone in 1182 (some say 1181). This article is a poor way to pay
tribute to the follower of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who
gave up earthly riches to embrace Lady Poverty, earning himself eternal
riches in the process, eternal riches that helped to save the Church
Militant on earth from falling down at a time of great clerical
corruption. It is my hope, however, that this poor tribute to Saint
Francis, a saint of profound Eucharistic piety and deep, tender devotion
to the Mother of God who rejoiced in the midst of trials and sufferings
and insults and even the rejection of his own father and brother, will
provide some food for meditation about the glorious life of this joyful
saint of prayer and penance. Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us! A
blessed feast day to our friends to all Franciscans, including those of
the Third Order.
Work continues, somewhat at a snail's pace, on the Bergoglio-Scalfari interview. There is a perfect "continuity" in everything that Jorge Mario Bergoglio has ever believed and what he is saying now. There is no need to look for "clues" about this man as he is a open book straight out of the text of the condemned propositions in The Syllabus of Errors and the texts of Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907, The Oath Against Modernism, September 1, 1910, and Humani Generis, August 12, 1950.)
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, pray for us. Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
October 3 Republished Article and Update
Well, I realized around 1:00 a.m., Easter Daylight Saving Time, that part four of my series on Jorge Mario Bergoglio's interview with atheist Eugenio Scalfari just wasn't getting completed as the work of the last twenty-four hours has caught up with me. It is time to shut down the computer. Part four should appear by late tomorrow afternoon. Parts five and six will follow on Friday and Saturday.
The feast of Saint Therese of
Lisieux, Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, is
commemorated today, Rosary Sunday and the Nineteenth Sunday after
Pentecost.
Marie-Frances Therese Martin was born to the holiest
of parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, who endeavored to shield their
children as much as possible from the influences of the world. The
sacrifices made by Louis and Zelie Martin produced five vocations to the
consecrated religious life. Zelie Martin's prayers from eternity after
her death assisted her husband as he raised one canonized saint and four
other daughters who served Holy Mother Church as brides of Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The simplicity and love of the Little
Flower teaches each of us to pursue holiness as befits redeemed
creatures, seeking the things of Heaven in this life so that we may
spend our Heaven doing good here on earth.
Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face
was raised in a family that stressed the importance of withdrawing from
the world. Louis and Zelie Martin were very protective of their
daughters, making sure to instill within them a firm commitment to the
Virtue of Modesty. Indeed, Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face,
Marie-Frances Celine Martin, was shocked at the immodesty that had
overtaken France with the Allied bombing of Normandy forced the
cloistered Carmelites of the Carmel out of their cloister and into the
world in June of 1944. She noted this in a letter to Mother Agnes Mary
that was dated July 7, 1944:
"After fifty years of eremetical living, to find myself all of a sudden
uprooted and thrown into the midst of the world, with veil raised, is a
true martyrdom for a recluse like me. It seems to me as if we're in a
station where everybody is crowding around and intermingling. We sleep
fully clothed on benches; we take our meals in haste, standing up in the
dark; we look with astonishment and grief at the feminine styles
stripped of all dignity." (As quoted in Celine: Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face, Sister and Witness of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, by Father Stephane-Joseph Piat, O.F.M., p. 130.)
What would Saint Therese and
Sister Genevieve say today about the feminine attire that is considered
"modest" and "acceptable" in Catholic chapels all across the vast
expanse of the ecclesiastical divide where some version of the
Immemorial Mass of Tradition is offered or simulated? They were not been
approving, and that is because their holy parents taught them Catholic
right from wordily wrong. Why is this so difficult for many
traditionally-minded Catholic parents to understand, accept and abide by
today? Saint Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!
Although much later than I had anticipated and a bit longer than parts one and two, this third part in my continuing series on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's interview with Eugenio Scalfari contains a detailed introduction by way of emphasizing that his hatred of what he calls "proselytism" was not a matter of a "bad translation" but his deeply held conviction, which is also, of course, a cornerstone of false ecumenism. Indeed, Bergoglio/Francis emphasized this again yesterday morning at the Casa Santa Marta and discussed it with his pro-abortion, pro-perversity pal from Argentina, Rabbi Abraham Skorka, who just completed a week long stay as Jorge's guest at the Casa Santa Marta.
Part four should appear by tomorrow morning if a little thing such as sleep does not get in the way. Thank you. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
Even some in the "resist while recognize" movement are a little pasty faced over this one even though some of us have been documenting Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's apostasies for the past two hundred three days. He is a perfect son of the conciliar revolution, a man who differs only in style from his predecessor, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Bergoglio/Francis is just a vulgar, less obscure conciliar revolutionary than his predecessor.
The segments on the Bergoglio interview with Eugenio Scalfari that follow these first two parts will treat each question with a similar amount of detail as found in this initial commentary. It is to facilitate ease of reading at a time that there is great interest in the subject that the commentaries on being published on a sequential basis. Work will resume later today, Tuesday, October 2, 2013, the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, with postings to be made, God willing and Our Lady interceding, later this afternoon into tomorrow evening. The process may continue into Thursday, October 3, 2013, the Feast of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face.
Part two of yesterday's article has become very secondary at this point. However, it will be completed, perhaps by early next week.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Our Holy Guardian Angels, defend us, protect us, pray for us.
This article is a brief,
republished reflection in honor of the Angels sent to us by God Himself
to help guard us in this passing, mortal vale of tears as they seek to
guide us to the glories of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God
the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. Each of us must have a special devotion
to--and daily conversation with--our Guardian Angels, making sure to
ask them to greet the Guardian Angels of all of the people we meet each
day. Our Guardian Angels have been given to us by God help get us back
to Him in Heaven. We should make good use of our Guardian Angels. Unlike
many of us who have lazy bones at times, our Guardian Angels want to
work hard to help us get home to Heaven. We should put them to work
every day! And we should make sure to thank our Guardian Angels at the
end of each day for keeping us safe in body and, eternally more
important, of course, in soul.
Yesterday was a busy day for the conciliar revolutionaries. I hath not the time to cover it all in one commentary, and another of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's infamous "interviews" is coming out today! The devil must know that his time is running out on him as he is moving with breakneck speed. The blitzkrieg of events is phenomenal to behold. It is truly unfathomable.
The Italian newspaper La Repubblica is publishing an interview with Bergoglio today, a little less than two weeks after the one that appeared in La Civiltà Cattolica and America Magazine and other Jesuit publications worldwide. No wonder this man, Bergoglio, eschews silence. He has not time for it at all. He's always talking, talking, talking, saying, it is reported, in the interview to be published today what he thinks is the Catholic Church needs to be "changed," that it has to "open up more to modernity." Gee, haven't they been doing this for fifty-five years now?
Pray hard. Pray very hard.
Finally, I want to thank those of who sent Sharon birthday greetings yesterday. She is very appreciative of each. Thank you one and all who were so kind to do so.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Remigius, pray for us.
Well, yesterday was one of
those days when the duties of state kept me from tackling a new article
until nearly nine o'clock in the evening, by which point I was already
physically spent. That new article will have to await posting until
tomorrow, October 1, 2010, the First Friday of the Month of October and
the Feast of Saint Remigius. This republished article is a brief
reflection, written last year, on Saint Jerome, who put the love of God
above all else. Consider just one quotation from the work of this
prolific writer and translator of the Bible into the Latin Vulgate:
It is a smaller sin to follow evil which you think is good, than
not to venture to defend what you know for certain is good. If we
cannot endure threats, injustice, poverty, how shall we overcome the
flames of Babylon? Let us not lose by hollow peace what we have
preserved by war. I should be sorry to allow my fears to teach me
faithlessness, when Christ has put the true faith in the power of my
choice. (Saint Jerome, Prologue to the Treatise Against the Pelagians.)
How many traditionally-minded
Catholics who are as of yet attached to the structures of the
counterfeit church of conciliarism who know for certain that it is not
good to praise false religions or to enter places of false worship or to
treat the "clergy" of false religions as having a mission from the true
God of Divine Revelation to serve and save souls refuse to do what is
good, that is, to defend the honor and glory and majesty God and His
Sacred Deposit Faith in order to indemnify the author of Summorum Pontificum,
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, whose successor, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, has laid bare for all the world to see that he is "worried" by those who "want to return to the past"?
We must always defend what we know to be
true as servants of the greater honor and glory of God. Saint Jerome
did. What's our excuse?
Finally, I ask for your prayers for my dear wife, Sharon, who turns fifty years of age today. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Jerome, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the
Dedication of the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel and the Commemoration of the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost.
We need Saint
Michael's intercession more now than ever before. We need his help in
our own daily battles with the forces of the world, the flesh, and the
devil. And, of course, we need his help with to remain faithful to the
true Faith without making any concessions at all to conciliarism or its
false officials who blaspheme God so regularly, so boldly, so repeatedly
and with a chorus of bobble heads making excuses for them in their sins
against the First and Second Commandments. Our Lady, Queen of the Angels, pray for us. Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us and keep us!
The next original article on this site should be posted tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Jerome (which is also my dear wife's fiftieth birthday). Thank you for your patience.
Today is the feast of the great
Saint Wenceslaus, King of Bohemia, who was murdered by his own brother,
who hated the fact that that he, King Wenceslaus, was everything that
he, Boleslaus, hated, namely, pious and devoted, a servant of Christ the
King, a just ruler who ruled to advance the common temporal good in
light of man's Last End. Boleslaus hated the fact that his brother, our
dear saint, loved the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and baked the
Eucharistic bread with his own hands. This should give us pause for
reflection in our own circumstances today when so many of our own
relatives and one-time friends and acquaintances might hate us simply
for being Catholic, no less Catholics who try, despite our sins and
failings, to adhere to everything taught by Holy Mother Church from time
immemorial. Saint Wenceslaus was a king who was prostrate before THE
King, Christ the King, in life who adores him in Heaven face to face.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Wenceslaus, pray for us.
Various reports in cyberspace indicate that the acolyte of Annibale Bugnini, "Archbishop" Piero Marini, will be named by Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis as the new prefect of the conciliar Congregation of Divine Worship, something that the "ultra-progressive" conciliar revolutions had been hoping would be the case. Although I will address this appointment when and if it becomes official, which could be as early as today, Saturday, September 28, 2013, you might want to review Rocketing To The Very Depths Of Hell for a little back of background about him, including a passage from his own memoirs about the "liturgical renewal" he helped Freemason Bugnini to plan and which he implemented with great glee as the master of ceremonies for Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II.
The title of this commentary is fairly self-explanatory.
The article that had been slated for posting today is being postponed in order to incorporate its text into a print-on-demand book that weaves together some of the many commentaries about Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis that have been published on this site in the past six and one-half months. A good deal of time will be spent in October on this project, which will mean a slight decrease in the number of articles on this site. After all, even though there are new readers who are now willing to explore the truth, it becomes rather unnecessary to repeat every point made previously when it might be a better use of time and more profitable for readers to have it at their fingertips. I will keep you posted as the project nears completion.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Cosmas and Damian, pray for us.
Timothy Michael Dolan has been doing his best "Baba Looey" to Jorge Mario Bergoglio's "Quick Draw McGraw" as he gushes with great excitement over the "relief" that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has brought to the conciliar church. Dolan went so far four days as to call Bergoglio/Francis the "Mariano Rivera" (some kind of relief pitcher for the incarnation of all evil in the world, the New York Yankees, who were eliminated from all postseason play last night; all right, I know who Rivera is) of what he thinks is the Catholic Church.
Our Lady of the North America Martyrs, pray for us.
Today, Thursday, September 26,
201e is the Feast of the North American Martyrs, the eight Jesuits who
gave up their lives for the Holy Faith in what are now parts of Canada
and upstate New York between 1642 and 1649, and the Commemoration of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian. .
Each of the North American Martyr (Isaac Jogues, Rene
Goupil, Jean Lalande, Gabriel Lalemant, Noel Chabanel, Anthony Daniel,
Charles Garnier, and John de Brebeuf) shed their blood to Catholicize
the upper reaches of North America. They were not interested in
"inculturating" the Catholic liturgy with the pagan superstitions and
barbaric practices of the Iroquois. They were concerned only about
attempting to convert the heathens to the true Faith and to plant the
seeds for the conversion of the land in which their noble missionary
work had taken them. Can we do any less than they? We must seek to "keep
it Catholic" at all times as we seek to plant the seeds for the
conversion of this nation to become the Catholic States of America.
Saint Isaac Jogues and Companions, pray for us! Saints Cyprian and Justina, pray for us.
The former universal public face of apostasy has returned from exile on Elba!
Actually, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who had promised to retreat from public view and to be "invisible to the world," is back in the news again, this time defending his deplorable record on matters pertaining to clerical abuse. And thus it is that the next article on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis will not appear until tomorrow, Thursday, September 26, 2013, the Feast of the North American Martyrs and the Commemoration of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian.
Finally, a public word of thanks is hereby offered to the ten individuals who have thus far made non-tax-deductible financial gifts in response to the Donations update that was posted thirteen days ago now. Two of these individuals have done so for the first time. Others are very much encouraged to join their ranks. We do rely upon reader support for the continuation of this work. Thank you.
September 24 Update
Although I had desired to have an article for today, the Feast of Our Lady of Ransom (Our Lady of Mercy), it is not possible to do justice to its contents with another late-night/early-morning posting. There have been enough of those recently. Unlike the false "pontiff," who keeps going and and going as he spouts off whatever "random thoughts," which actually are not so random as they are nothing other than rehashes of the old Jesuit revolutionary propaganda that many of us heard with our own ears in the 1970s and 1980s, I am going to be prudent and wait until tomorrow for the next article to be posted.
As mentioned just above, today is the Feast of Our Lady of Ransom, also known as Our Lady of Mercy.
Saint Peter Nolasco founded
The Royal, Celestial and Military Order of Our Lady of Mercy and the
Redemption of the Captives, known officially as Order of the Virgin
Mary of Mercy of the Redemption of Captives, with King James I of Aragon
and Saint Raymond of Pennafort in 1218 after Our Lady had appeared to
each of them, asking them found and Order to rescue Christians who were
being held captives by the Mohammedans. Our Lady of Ransom showered
Saint Peter Nolasco with favors as he went about his work of freeing the
captured Christians. Consider the account of this order's founding as
provided by Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., in The Liturgical Year for this great feast day:
The Office of the time gives us, at then close of
September, the Books of Judith and Esther. Those heroic women were
figures of Mary, whose birthday is the honour of this month, and who
comes at once to bring assistance to the world.
'Adonai, Lord God, great and admirable, who hast
wrought salvation by the hand of a woman;' the Church introduces the
history of the heroine, who delivered Bethulia by the sword, whereas
Mardochai's niece rescued her people from death by her winsomeness and
by her intercession. The Queen of heaven, in her peerless perfection,
outshines them both, in gentleness, in valour, and in beauty. Today's
feast is a memorial of the strength she puts forth for the deliverance
of her people.
Finding their power crushed in Spain, and in the
east checked by the Latin kingdom of Jerusalem, the Saracens, in the
Twelfth Century, become wholesale pirates, and scoured the seas to
obtain slaves for the African markets. We shudder to think of the
numberless victims, of every age, sex, and condition, suddenly carried
off from the coasts of Christian lands, or captured on the the high
seas, and condemned to the disgrace of the harem or the miseries of the
bagnio. Here, nevertheless, in many an obscure prison, were enacted
scenes of heroism worthy to compare with those witnessed in the early
persecutions; here was a new field for Christian charity; new horizons
opened out for heroic self-devotion. Is not the spiritual good thence
arising a sufficient reason for the permission of temporal ills? Without
this permission, heaven would have for ever lacked a portion of its
beauty.
When, in 1696, Innocent XII extended this feast to
the whole Church, he afforded the world an opportunity of expressing its
gratitude by a testimony as universal as the benefit received.
Differing from the Order of holy Trinity, which had
been already twenty years in existence, the Order of Mercy was founded
as it were in the very face of the Moors; and hence it originally
numbered more knights than clerks [clerics] among its members. It was
called the royal,l military, and religious Order of our Lady of Mercy
for the ransom of captives. The clerics were charged with the
celebration of the Divine Office in the commandaries; the knights
guarded the coasts, and undertook the perilous enterprise of ransoming
Christian captives. St. Peter Nolasco was the first Commander or Grand
Master of the Order; when his relics were discovered, he was found armed
with sword and cuirass.
In the following lines the Church gives us her thoughts upon the facts which we have already learnt.
At the time when the Saracen yoke oppressed the
larger and more fertile part of Spain, and great numbers of the faithful
were detained in cruel servitude, at the great risk of denying the
Christian faith and losing their eternal salvation, the most blessed
Queen of heaven graciously came to remedy all these great evils, and
showed her exceeding charity in redeeming her children. She appeared
with beaming countenance to Peter Nolasco, a man conspicuous for wealth
and piety, who in his holy meditations was ever striving to devise some
means of helping the innumerable Christians living in misery as captives
of the Moors. She told him it would be very pleasing to her and her
only-begotten Son, if- ia religious Order were instituted in her honour,
whose members should devote themselves to delivering the captives from
Turkish tyranny. Animated this heavenly vision, the man of God was
inflamed with burning love, having but one desire at heart, viz: that
both he and the Order he was to found, might be devoted to the exercise
of that highest charity, for the laying down of life for one's friends
and neighbours.
That same night, the most holy Virgin appeared also
to blessed Raymond of Pengnafort, and to James king of Aragon, telling
them of her wish to have the Order instituted, and exhorting them to
lend their aid to so great an undertaking. Meanwhile Peter hastened to
relate the whole matter to Raymund, who was his confessor; and finding
it had been already revealed to him from heaven, submitted humbly to his
direction. King James next arrived, fully resolved to carry out the
instructions he also had received from the blessed Virgin. Having
therefore taken counsel together and being all of one mind, they set
about instituting an Order in honour of the Virgin Mother, under the
invocation of our Lady of Mercy for the ransom of captives.
On the tenth of August, in the year of our Lord one
thousand two hundred and eighteen, king James put into execution what
the two holy men had planned. The members of the Order bound themselves
by a fourth vow to remain, when necessary, as securities in the power of
the pagans, in order to deliver Christians. The king granted them
licence to bear his royal arms upon their breast, and obtained from
Gregory IX the confirmation of this religious institute distinguished by
such eminent brotherly charity. God himself gave increase to the work
through his Virgin Mother; so that the Order spread rapidly and
prosperously over the whole world. It soon reckoned many holy men
remarkable for their charity and piety who collected alms from Christ's
faithful, to be spent in redeeming their brethren; and sometimes gave
themselves up as ransom for many others. In order that due thanks might
be rendered to God and his Virgin Mother for the benefit of such an
institution, the apostolic See allowed this special feast and Office to
be celebrated, and also granted innumerable other privileges to the
Order.
Blessed be thou, O Mary, the honour and the joy of thy people! On the
day of thy glorious Assumption, thou didst take possession of thy
queenly dignity for our sake; and the annals of the human race are a
record of thy merciful interventions. The captives whose chains thou
hast broken, and whom thou hast set free from the degrading yoke of the
Saracens, may be reckoned by millions. We are still rejoicing in the
recollection of thy dear birthday; and thy smile is sufficient to dry
our tears and chase away the clouds of grief. And yet, what sorrows
there are still upon the earth, where thou didst drink such long
draughts from the cup of suffering! Sorrows are sanctifying and
beneficial to some; but there are other and unprofitable griefs,
springing from social injustice: the drudgery of the factory, or the
tyranny of the strong over the weak, may be worse than slavery in
Algiers or Tunis. Thou alone, O Mary, canst break the inextricable
chains, in which the cunning price of darkness entangles the dupes he
has deceived by the high-sounding names of equality and liberty. Show
thyself a Queen, by coming to the rescue. the whole earth, the entire
human race, cries out to thee, in the words of Mardochai: 'Speak to the
king for us, and deliver us from death.' (Dom Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B., The Liturgical Year, Time After Pentecost, Volume 14, pp. 261-266.)
We need to pray to Our Lady of Ransom--Our Lady of
Mercy--to ransom us from the perils of this present time of apostasy and
betrayal as we seek shelter in her loving arms and as we have recourse
in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance to the mercy that has been won for us
by the shedding of every single drop of the Most Precious Blood of her
Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the wood of
the Holy Cross so that we may be ransomed from our attachment
even to the slightest Venial Sin and as we seek to live more
penitentially each day by making sincere acts of reparation for our
sins, especially by praying as many Rosaries each day as our state in
life permits.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
We just need to be patient and to suffer as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ desires us to do so that we can be used as His instruments to plant a few seeds for the restoration of the Church Militant on earth as the fruit of the Triumph of the Sorrowful and and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Ransom, Our Lady of Mercy.
Never doubt that the final victory belongs to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She has promised us in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, ninety-six years ago that this will occur. I, for, one, simply trust in Our Blessed Mother. It is enough for me.
This is the conclusion of what "evolved," if I can use a popular term in conciliar circles, to being a three-part commentary on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's interview with "Father" Antonio Spadoro, S.J.
Don't expect to see another article for a few days, although do keep checking.
Please keep Mrs. Cyndi Cain, the wife of Michael Cain, the executive director of The Daily Catholic, in your prayers as her health is failing. She was administered the Sacrament of Extreme Unction by Father Gerard McKee, CMRI, on Friday afternoon. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Thomas Villanova, pray for us. Saint Mauritius and Companions, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of Saint
Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ called Levi from his duties as a collector of tribute for Caesar
to follow Him. Levi quit his position as a tax collector to become a
collector of souls for God and His true Church.
Saint Matthew wrote His Gospel to convince his fellow
Jews to accept Our Lord as the Divine Redeemer and to convert to the
true Faith, Catholicism. This is quite a contrast with the work of
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who esteems Talmudic Judaism as an
instrument of "justice" although it denies the Sacred Divinity of Our
Lord Jesus Christ and wages warfare upon those who seek to restore the
Social Reign of Christ the King, to say nothing of the fact that many of
its rabbis support abortion and perversity under cover of the civil
law. Quite a difference. It's the difference between fidelity and
apostasy, between Catholicism and conciliarism. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Matthew the
Apostle, pray for us.
Part three of the series about Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's interview with "Father" Antonio Spadoro, S.J., will probably appear by tomorrow morning. It was simply not possible to complete it last night as a result of the writing that did not end until shortly after five o'clock yesterday morning. Thank you for your patience.
Remember, this is also Ember Saturday in September, a day of fast and partial abstinence.
Did you miss part one of this commentary concerning Jorge Mario Bergoglio's interview with "Father" Antonio Spadoro, the editor of La Civiltà Cattolica on behalf of America Magazine and other Jesuit publications worldwide? If you did miss part one, read it before proceeding to part two, which is being posted at 5:05 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time. The late night/early morning posting is one of the reasons that part three (yes, there will be a part three) may not be posted until late tomorrow evening. Time for a bit of sleep. Just a bit.
Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us. Saint Eustace and his Companions, pray for us. Saint Matthew the Apostle, pray for us.
Part two of this commentary should appear by tomorrow morning, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
We are now going to pray a Rosary in reparation for the blasphemous and heretical comments made by Jorge Mario Bergoglio in an interview he gave to "Father" Antonio Spadoro, the editor of La Civiltà Cattolica on behalf of America Magazine and other Jesuit publications worldwide.
Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us. Saint Januarius, pray for us.
This is a brief reflection, although a little longer than yesterday's second articles ("Who Today Will Presume To Say She Is Widowed?"), on the terrible tragedy that took place at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, District of Columbia, two days ago, that is, on Monday, September 16, 2013, the Feast of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian and the Commemoration of Saints Euphemia, Lucy and Gemianus. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph Cupertino, pray for us.
Let us continue to pray for the victims of the terrible shooting perpetrated by the poor, twisted Aaron Alexis, who was himself a victim of the anti-Incarnational civil state of Judeo-Masonry with which the lords of conciliarism, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, replete with all of his "random thoughts," have made their "official reconciliation."
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
September 17 Articles, including Very Short Late Afternoon New Article
This is one of the shortest articles in the history of this website. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is a blaspheming heretic who has admitted in his very own words that the blasphemies and heresies he utters in his daily sessions of Ding Dong School Of Apostasy at the Casa Santa Marta come to him randomly. May God have mercy on us all. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Yes, circumstances required me to spend me time on a truly horrible blasphemer, a man who is possessed in his determination to suborn sin in the name of "compassion" and to root out everything about the "past" that he believes has been but an artifice keeping the minds of men from knowing the "truth" of the Gospel of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. No wonder Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has such an affinity for Martin Luther as the gab session he had yesterday at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran, admitting a few exceptions here and there, could have been given by Luther himself. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us. Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
I believe this to be a very long article. I am sorry. However, I am trying to leave behind a body of writing that can be accessed long after I have departed from this mortal vale of tears. I am writing for the long term, not just to get a "sound bite" across that can pass through the consciousness of readers.
Additionally, there are always new readers to this site who are not familiar with previous article, and thus it is that I am aware of the need to spell things out again and again so that those who are new to the site can have as much information as possible, entrusting them all, of course, to the tender mercies of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Enough. Enough. How much more time needs to be wasted to demonstrate that Jorge Mario Bergoglio is a blaspheming heretic, a complete caricature of postconciliar Jesuit revolutionary--and lay one at that? Enough. Perhaps it is enough to do a "week in review" or "that was Jorge's week that was" article once a week. On a daily basis? There comes a point when one is wasting his good Catholic time to inflate the ego of this hubristic man by commenting ad nauseam, ad infinitum about the shibboleths within his Modernist mind that he presents as the teaching of the Catholic Church. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us. Saints Cornelius and Cyprian, pray for us. Saints Euphemia, Lucy and Geminianus, pray for us.
Oh, you want a report on the results of the recently posted update to the Donations page? Well, thanks so much for asking.
Yes, here are the results:
One person, a friend and a regular donor, made a non-tax-deductible financial gift. One. That's right, one.
Seven hundred fifty-five "unique visitors" accessed this home page on Friday, September 13, 2013, the day after the update was posted. There seems to be something of a disparity between the results thus far and the numbers of those who access this site. Please do read the update and respond favorably if your means permit and you find the work of this site helpful. Thank you.

Today is the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary in September.
We are called to meditate on the Seven Dolors of Our
Lady every day of our lives. While there are many good meditations on
the sufferings of Our Lady, including those provided by the revelations
of Anne Katherine Emmerich and the Venerable Mary of Agreda, the late
Father Frederick Faber has given us much food for inspirational
meditation in his The Foot of the Cross, published originally as The Dolors of Mary in 1857.
Consider this brief excerpt from Father Faber's reflections:
But let us make the world stand still, and see how it looks. If
our common love for God, which is so poor, is irritated by the sight,
what must Mary have suffered? For what is irritation to our weakness to
her would be the most deep and transcending sorrow. God comes to His
creation. It does not stir. It cannot. It lies in the hollow beneath
Him, and has no escape. He comes in the beauty of a mercy, which is
almost incredible, because it is so beautiful. But seemingly it does not
attract the world. He draws nigh. Creation must do something now. It
freezes itself up before His eye. He may have other worlds, more
fertile, more accessible to Him, than this. In the spiritual tropics,
where the angels dwell, He may perhaps be welcome. But not here. This is
the North Pole of His universe. He shed His life's blood upon it, and
it would not thaw. It is unmanageable, unnavigable,
uninhabitable for Him. He can do nothing at all with it, but let His sun
make resplendent colored lights in the icebergs, or bid the moon shine
with a wanner loveliness than elsewhere, or fill the long-night sky with
the streamers of the Aurora, which even the Esquimaux, burrowing in his
hut, will not go out to see. The only difference is that the material
pole understands its business. which is to make ice in all imaginable
shapes; whereas we men are so used to our own coldness, that we do not
know how cold we are, and imagine ourselves to be the temperate zone of
God's creation.
Our sins helped to thrust those
Seven Swords of Sorrow through and through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart
at various points during her life, including during her Divine Son's
Passion and Death. We must resolve never to grieve her Immaculate Heart
again as consider our joy and our privilege to live penitentially as the
consecrated slaves to her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ through the same Immaculate Heart.
We can help to make reparation for our sins that have
grieved the Immaculate Heart of Mary if we pray more and more Rosaries
each day, if we help to propagate devotion to her Seven Dolors. Indeed,
Our Lady promises us the following graces if we promote devotion to her
Seven Dolors:
1) I will grant peace to their families
2) They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.
3) I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.
4) I will
give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the
adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
5) I will
defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I
will protect them at every instant of their lives.
6) I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.
7. I have obtained (This
Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my
tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to
eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I
will be their eternal consolation and joy.
As a terrible sinner, I am counting on my own
promoting of devotion to the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary to
help me just a little bit at the moment of my Particular Judgment. What
about you?
A blessed Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.
This is the conclusion of my two-part commentary on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's recent letter, published in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, to an atheist writer. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
The Saviour of the world hung on the wood of the Holy Cross: Ecce lignum Crucis, in quo salus mundit pependit (Behold the wood of the Cross, on which hung the Saviour of the world. (Adoration of the Cross, Good Friday Liturgy.)
The Cross of the Divine
Redeemer was displayed prominently on street corners and in the nooks
and crannies of every village in Europe during the era of Christendom.
There is no "expiration date" on the Cross of the
Divine Redeemer's relevance to the life of any man or of any nation. We
must lift high the Cross in our own daily lives and we must plant it
firmly in the soil of our nation without any apology whatsoever as
Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
We must also remember that Our Lady stands at the
foot of her Divine Son's Most Holy Cross in every true offering of Holy
Mass just as she stood at the foot of the Holy Cross on Good Friday. She
stands with us as we bear our own crosses in our daily lives. We must,
therefore, seek the assistance of the Mother of God in lifting high her
Divine Son's Holy Cross in our daily lives, praying as many Rosaries
each day as our states-in-life permit.
The cross is ever present in each of our lives, and
for this we must say with Saint Francis of Assisi, Deo gratias! Penance
is the path to Heaven. We do our penances by carrying our crosses with
gratitude. Isn't it great to be a Catholic?
September 13 Update
Today has to be one without an original article as after three late-night postings, especially since the full text of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's atheist correspondent has now been translated. A little bit of work will have to spent on treating this commentary with the care and detail that it needs.
If you are still stuck for reading material, of course, you can always peruse the Donations page, which was updated yesterday afternoon.
Our Lady of the Fatima, pray for us on this day, the ninety-sixth anniversary of your fifth apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos.
September 12 Articles and Mid-Afternoon Update
Mid-Afternoon Update: Yes, the Donations page has been updated for the first time in fifteen weeks. I ask readers to read the new update and to respond favorably to its appeal. Thank you.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has been busy. This article, which I hope packs a punch, must be divided into two parts. Check back on Saturday for part two as it might not possible to have it for you by tomorrow. Keep checking. Thank you.
Today is the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary,
commemorating the victory won by King Jan Sobieski of Poland over the
Mohammedans at the Gates of Vienna on September 12, 1683. The troops
under the command of Jan Sobieski exclaimed "Jesus, Mary, Sobieski!" as
they prayed their Rosaries and routed the Turkish forces.
Each of us does battle every day with the Turks, that
is, with the forces of the world, the flesh, and the devil. We must
call upon the Holy Name of Mary, something we do at least one hundred
fifty-three times every day if we pray all fifteen mysteries of Our
Lady's Most Holy Rosary. This sweet name of the Mother of God must be on
our lips at all times, and it must be exclaimed by public officials as
she is honored as the Queen of Heaven and on earth, yes, of each and
every nation on earth, including the United States of America. No one
should be ashamed at any time to proclaim the Holy Name of Mary
publicly. Indeed, we must do so with joy and confidence.
Saint Louis de Montfort taught us in True Devotion to Mary that those who are the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary
should address others with a Marian salutation. How felicitous it is,
therefore, to greet others with Ave Maria! or a Salve Regina! How
glorious it is to make invocations such as "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we
love you, save souls!" or "Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation" or
"Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and the hour of our death."
May Our Lady,
she who is our life, our sweetness and our hope, help us to grow in this
virtue, especially in this time of apostasy and betrayal.
A relatively brief commentary on caesar's speech last evening. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's latest screeds against us "Pelagians" who do not "known the Risen Lord" will have to wait until tomorrow, the Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Protus and Hyacinth, pray for us.
Another look at the "crisis" manufactured by our caesars for a variety of nefarious reasons. Yes, this is now the fourth (not the third, as I had written when this page was updated at 2:20 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time this morning) of what is turning into a series of commentaries on the American proposal to launch a military attack upon the governmental structures and military installations of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a proposal that ran somewhat off course yesterday when the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Secretary of State, John F. Kerry, made what he thought was a "rhetorical" comment that was seized upon by the Russians to call the Americans' bluff. Our caesar blinked in the manner of Barbara Eden on I Dream of Jeannie, and there went his "red line" into thin air. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Nicholas of Tolentino, pray for us.
In case you missed it, there was a rather long piece about the conciliar bumbler on Sunday, Francis The Slayer of Straw Men. Yesterday's article was substantially revised tribute to Saint Peter Claver. Tomorrow's will focus on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's continuing warfare against his "Pelagian" straw men, including the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, within the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
This is a substantially revised tribute to Saint Peter Claver, S.J, whose true missionary zeal for the conversion and sanctification and salvation of souls stands in vast contrast to the blase and
practically indifferent attitude of the conciliar "popes," including Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis.
Saint
Peter Claver, S.J., personally baptized over 300,000 people in Colombia who were destined for chattel
slavery in the Americas. Saint Peter Claver freed those souls from
enslavement to the devil by means of Original Sin, equipping them to
offer up the injustices of chattel slavery as disciples of Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and as the devoted clients of His Most
Blessed Mother. Saint Peter Claver's example does indeed stand in stark
contrast to that of the revolutionaries of the counterfeit church of
conciliarism. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Claver, pray for us!
Late hours have had to be kept the last three nights to complete the newest original articles on this site. Thus it is that you will have to wait until tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, 2013, the Feast of Saint Nicholas Tolentino, for the next original article on this site, which will deal with the Syrian crisis that has been manufactured by our war mongers and their paymasters in a certain foreign country that borders on Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. Thanks for your patience.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has been back at the Improv this week conducting his daily sessions of the Ding Dong School Of Apostasy as he continues ever on an irrational rampage against authentic Catholic doctrine, liturgy and devotional practices. He has shown himself to be a master of slaying straw men of his own revolutionary making.
Attention will be focused in the next article, which may not appear on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, the Feast of Saint Nicholas Tolentino, back to the Syrian crisis that has been whipped up by the caesars and their paymasters, although some attention will given as well to Bergoglio/Francis's "homily" delivered last evening in his "prayer vigil" in Piazza di San Pietro in the Vatican. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Adrian, pray for us.
Today is the great feast day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she who is the fairest flower of our race.
The angels rejoiced around the crib where Good Saint
Anne placed her all-holy daughter, who had been conceived without any
stain of Original Sin nine months before, that is, on December 8. The
New Eve, whose act of perfect obedience to the will of God the Father at
the moment that Saint Gabriel the Archangel announced to her that she
would be the very Mother of God untied the knot of the first Eve's
prideful disobedience in the Garden of Eden, shone at her Nativity with
exterior beauty and brightness that reflected the interior beauty and
brightness of her immortal soul, filled with grace at the very moment of
Immaculate Conception. The favor of God rested upon Our Lady from all
eternity.
How can words capture our gratitude and joy to God
for giving us Our Lady to be our own Heavenly Mother and Queen? They
can't. Words can only approximate our gratitude and joy this day--and
every day of our lives--over the fact that the Singular Vessel of
Devotion in whose Virginal and Immaculate Womb would be conceived Our
Divine Redeemer.
We would not have any chance of getting to Heaven if
Our Lady had not been conceived and born. We have no chance of getting
to Heaven without Our Lady's help, which is why we, as the consecrated
slaves of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, must cling to her at all
times, especially by means of wearing--and the fulfilling the terms of
our enrollment in--her Brown Scapular and by praying as many Rosaries
each day as our states-in-life permit.
Perhaps the best birthday gift that we can give to
Our Lady, apart from our worthy reception of her Divine Son in Holy
Communion at a true offering of Holy Mass at the hands of a true bishop
or a true priest, is to resolve now to do live more penitentially in
reparation for our sins and those of the world world. By living more
penitentially and by praying more Rosaries each day, you see, our souls
might--emphasis on might--begin to be filled with more fervor and
tenderness for Our Most Blessed Mother, she who made possible our
salvation and who is the Mediatrix of All Graces.
A blessed Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.
This yet another look at the insanity posed by Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's impending attack upon Syria, where our own co-religionists are being slaughtered.
Yes, behold American social engineering at work to try to effect the mutually exclusive goal of making the Middle East safe for Mohammedans and for the State of Israel. Perhaps our social engineers were trained by the late Father Hans Urs von Balthasar. Pray extra Rosaries today on this First Saturday in September as we seek to make reparation for our own sins and those of the world world, including those of the conciliarists who believe that inter-religious "prayer" and "dialogue" will produce "peace." Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
Attention will be turned once again tomorrow, the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to the septuagenarian from Argentina who has been quite active the past few days.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is back at the Improv. He has been very busy this week, something that causes sleep deprivation for a few of us who pay attention to his impure doctrine and hideous liturgies. Apostates such as Francis the Impure can never be instruments of peace as they are at war with Christ the King and His Sacred Deposit of Faith.
It is only Our Lady's prayers for us erring sinners that stays the hand of God from chastising us even more than is the case at the moment. Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us!
More on the Syrian matter tomorrow.
September 5 Update and Republished Article
There will be no new article today as I am just plum tuckered out from the last few days of writing. The next article has been started. However, there is just no way to complete it at this time. Check back tomorrow.
I do,though, want to ask those of you who access this site to pray for the
repose of the soul of my late father, Dr. Albert Henry Martin Droleskey,
who died at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 1992, at Flower
Memorial Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. Eternal rest grant unto him, O
Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of
the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in
peace. Amen.
A very late/early hour. This article is fairly comprehensive. I will try, emphasis on try, to give the false "pontiff" some attention tomorrow as he is back at the "improve" once again. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Rose of Viterbo, pray for us.
In addition to yesterday's revised article on the Feast of Pope Saint Pius X, my endorsement of Stephen G. Brady For Sheriff of Menard County, Illinois, as well as a link to Mr. Michael Cain's "Pew Point" column in which he provided news of his ailing, hospitalized, victim-soul wife, Mrs. Cyndi Cain (scroll down).
September 3 Revised Article and Political Endorsement (see below)
Today is the feast of the great Pope Saint Pius X, whose work against Modernism is summarized in Revised: Modernism's Eternal Foe, Our Eternal Friend. Unlike his immediate predecessor, Pope Leo XIII, and each of his three
successors (Popes Benedict XV, Pius XI, and Pius XII), the former
Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto was not in the diplomatic service of the Holy
See at any time during the nearly forty-five years of his priesthood
prior to his rather remarkable election as the Successor of Saint Peter
on August 4, 1903. He was not prone to accept the word of diplomats, and
he did not suffer lies and misrepresentations easily.
The farm boy from Riese, Italy, who served as a
pastor of souls in a rough-and-tumble Italian cow town, Tombolo, and
then in Salzano before becoming Bishop of Mantua and the Cardinal
Patriarch of Venice, was always close to Our Lady. This tender devotion
to Our Lady, which he learned from his saintly mother, helped him to
keep close to the sheep even when he was the Vicar of Christ on earth.
Thanks to the sign given him by the life and death of Little Nellie of
Holy God, Pope Saint Pius X was the advocate of early First Communion
(and early Confirmation) and of frequent Communions.
It is no accident at all that the now retired Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI made no reference to the centenary of Pascendi Dominci Gregis on September 8, 2007, nearly three years ago now. Ratzinger/Benedict
made absolutely no reference on August 15, 2010, to the centenary of
Pope Saint Pius X's Notre Charge Apostolique, which was a
ringing condemnation of the false philosophy of the Sillon that is of
the essence of conciliarism. He has made no reference to the one
hundredth anniversary of The Oath Against Modernism just two days ago (see Witness Against Benedict XVI: The Oath Against Modernism). How can he? He stands condemned by the very words in these documents issued by Pope Saint Pius X.
The contrast between the Catholicism of Pope Saint
Pius X, a defender of the Social Reign of Christ the King and the
confessionally Catholic civil state, and the conciliarism of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, who has denounced "restorationists" as "Pelagian" and "hard-headed" Pharisees while defending "healthy laicism" and
"religious liberty" and the "separation of Church and State, could not
be more clear.
Here is the Collect for today's feast in the Immemorial Mass of Tradition: "O God, who for the defense of the Catholic Faith and the restoration of
all things in Christ didst fill Saint Pius, Supreme Pontiff, with
heavenly wisdom and apostolic courage: grant in Thy loving kindness that
by following his teachings and examples we may attain eternal rewards.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with
Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, forever and ever. Amen."
Pope Saint Pius X opposed Modernism. So must we as we refuse any
"communion" at all with conciliarism or its false shepherds who are at
war with the Catholic Faith. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope
Saint Pius X, pray for us!
The next article on the Syrian situation will be posed tomorrow, and the political endorsement I wrote last night is out for review. Check back later today.
Finally, I ask readers of this site to read and respond to Mr. Michael Cain's poignant plea in his newest Catholic PewPOINT appeal, keeping in your prayers his devoted wife, Mrs. Cyndi Cain, who is hospitalized now with a fever whose origin has thus far eluded her attending physicians.
Although most people today would run away from any kind of endorsement that might be offered from me, my friend Stephen G. Brady, the founder and president of the now-defunct Roman Catholic Faithful, Inc., has a great deal of old-fashioned Catholic courage. It is with his permission that I am now posting this endorsement of Mr. Brady's candidacy for the Republican Party nomination for the office of the Sheriff of Menard County, Illinois. What a pity it is that men such as Steve Brady are found only rarely in our world today.
Please do pray for Mr. Brady and his family at this time, offering them whatever help that you might be able to provide.
The concluding part of this three part series is meant to provide you with something of a dossier on the beliefs and work of "Archbishop" Pietro Parolin, who has been appointed by Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis to replace the infamous enabler and protector of perverted clergymen and enemy of Our Lady of Fatima, Tarcisio Bertone, S.D.B. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Stephen of Hungary, pray for us.
There will be another commentary on the Syrian situation, God willing and Our Lady interceding, along with another article that will provide a political endorsement, something that I have not done in rather long time now.
There is quite a contrast
between the great Saint Stephen of Hungary, the son-in-law of Saint
Henry the Emperor and the father of Saint Emeric (after whom the
Americas were named), and the "Catholic" public officials of today.
Saint Stephen sought to advance the common temporal good in light of
man's Last End: the possession of the glory of the Beatific Vision of
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity in
Heaven.
To this end, Saint Stephen, whose own parents had
become Catholic as a result of the missionary work that had been
sponsored by Saint Henry, sought to convert the entirety of what is now
Hungary, understanding that Catholicism was the one and only foundation
of personal and social order, the one and only path to a genuine peace
among men and among their nations founded in the Social Reign of Christ
the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, to whom Saint Stephen was so
tenderly devoted throughout his life. Unlike the conciliarists who defy
the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church and redefine it to
accommodate the "spirit of progress" represented by Modernity, Stephen
of Hungary sought to convert souls to that teaching so that they could
be good subjects in this life and thus be fit citizens of Heaven for all
eternity. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Stephen of
Hungary, pray for us.
What started off as a two-part series will consist of three-parts. This part examines some recent comments by the conciliar "bishop" of Saltillo, Mexico, Jose Raul Vera Lopez, who is marching in complete lock step with Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis. Part three will explore the past work of Bergoglio/Francis's appointee to replace Tarcisio Bertone, S.D.B., as the conciliar Vatican's Secretary of State, "Archbishop" Pietro Parolin. I assure you that there is much to explore, which is one of the reasons this current article, which deals with matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments and should not be read by children or by those who wish to avoid the topic, was delayed as the research on Parolin took a bit of time.
Yes, conciliarism does indeed have many weapons of mass spiritual destruction. In the end, however, Our Lady's Immaculate Heart will triumph.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Egidius, pray for us. The Twelve Holy Brothers, pray for us.
Conciliarism has unleashed its weapons of mass spiritual destruction upon the world for fifty-five years now. It is no wonder that state of the world is as bad as it is as the doctrines and supernatural helps provided by the one and only true Church have been attacked by the conciliar revolutionaries to the point that not even its own liturgical rites are stable. This is part one of two. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
This revised article is a short reflection on the life of Saint
Rose of Lima, a member of the Third Order of Penance of the Order of
Preachers of Saint Dominic de Guzman. Among many other works in her
devout life of prayer and austere penances, Saint Rose, who lived among a
cluster of saints in Lima, Peru, exhorted the people of Lima to gather
in their churches and pray their Rosaries to turn back a pending
invasion of their city by a fleet of those virulent anti-Catholics, the
Dutch Calvinists. Those hideous people with their diabolical beliefs
that have nothing at all to do with Christianity turned back as a result
of the Rosaries that were prayed to repel them in their designs to
invade Lima and to sack Catholic churches and to desecrated the Most
Blessed Sacrament images of the Mother of God. May we pray to Saint Rose
of Lima so that we will remain faithful to the daily recitation of Our
Lady's Most Holy Rosary as the powerful weapon, after Holy Mass itself,
to turn back the enemies of Christ the King in the world and in the
counterfeit church of conciliarism. Saint Rose of Lima, pray for us.
Saints Felix and Adauctus, pray for us.
This is something of a follow-up to yesterday's article as well as lead-in to tomorrow's commentary, "Conciliarism's Weapons of Mass Destruction. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John the Baptist, pray for us. Saint Sabina, pray for us.
Well, there's been the first casualty of the pending American military attack upon Syria: the website of Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's New York office, The New York Times, which has been hacked and taken down by a heretofore unknown group that calls itself the "Syrian Electronic Army" (which is probably located in a facility in Herndon, Virginia; see New York Times Website Hacked, Syrian Electronic Army Appears to Take Credit).
Maybe this is the causus belli that caesar needs to launch an unconstitutional, immoral attack on Syria, which does not threaten the legitimate national security interests of the United States of America in the slightest. Ah, yes, just another day in the beauty of the "Arab Spring," which must be a close relative of the "springtime in the church" blather we hear from the lords of the "civilization of love" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
As a presbyter in a Motu community we knew once was wont to say, "Get prayed up. You don't know how weak your Faith is." Yes, get prayed up.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Augustine of Hippo, pray for us. Saint Hermes, pray for us.
August 27 Update
Patience, please. Progress is being made on the next article, which deals with the war drums being beaten anew by our current group of Trotskyites, who, of course, ran against the former regime of Trotskyites by claiming that the era of unilateral American wars had passed. Well, I guess it all depends how one defines "unilateral." Check back late today. Thank you. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Joseph Calasanctius, pray for us.
The cold-blooded murder of an Australian collegiate athlete who was enrolled at a college in the State of Oklahoma by a group of supposedly "bored" teenagers, one of whom has posted various "tweets" filled with expressions of hatred for those of the Caucasian race, puts the lie to Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's recent comment that there is no need to speak about abortion as Catholics "know" what that it is wrong, which, of course, is not the case today. A true pope would speak to the world about how the daily slaughter of the innocent preborn by chemical and surgical means leads to further violations of the Fifth Commandment. Then again, when was the last time you heart Jorge Mario Bergoglio speak of the Ten Commandments or of he sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Louis IX, pray for us.
This article had been completed by 1:30 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, this morning. It was within God's Holy Providence that something called a "Microsoft run time error" froze my horrible notebook computer. I waited for four hours for the "run time error" to correct itself, knowing that the text of the second of the article's second half, which had not been saved prior to my running a spell check, would be lost and that I would have to write that text all over again today. Well, that is what happened. Thus it is that this article is being posted now, late on the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Louis IX, King of France.
As this article is rather lengthy, you will have to wait until Tuesday, August 27, 2013, the Feast of Saint Joseph Calasanctius, for the fifteenth article of the month of August.
We commemorate today, the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost, the Feast of Saint
Louis IX, King of France, that great exemplar of the Social Reign of
Christ the King. Saint Louis was taught by his holy mother, Blessed
Blanche of Castile, to prefer death rather to commit a deliberate Mortal
Sin. He heard two Masses a day and was a member of the Third Order of
Saint Francis, whose patron saint he remains to this day. Saint Louis
strove to rule according to the Mind of Christ the King as He had
deposited It exclusively in the Catholic Church, recognizing that he,
Louis IX, would have to answer to Christ the King at the moment of his
own Particular Judgment for how he ruled his subjects. His letter to his son Philip is a succinct summary of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. It
is a model for how everyone in public life should conduct himself in
order to please Christ the King as the devoted client of Mary our
Immaculate Queen. Vivat Christus Rex! Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph
soon. Saint Louis IX, pray for us.
This is a direct follow-up to the article posted around 4:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, yesterday morning.
Another one is in the works for posting tomorrow morning.
While I have you, the article that I posted on Monday, August 20, 2013, Francis: The Latest In A Long Line Of Ecclesiastical Tyrants, mentioned a 1950 motion picture, Guilty of Treason, based on the Communist show-trial of Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty. I ordered a DVD of the film, finding to to be, apart from a few objectionable scenes, very good. Mind you, the film only covered part of the sufferings endured by Cardinal Mindszenty, who suffered while imprisoned until the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and then suffered again at the hands of the betrayal of Giovanni Montini/Paul The Sick in 1971 and thereafter until his death in exile in 1975. Actor Charles Bickford, who had played Father Dominique Peyramale in The Song of Bernadette in 1943, was given some superb, inspirational lines from the actual words of the Cardinal himself. Guilty of Treason is a worthwhile purchase, and it only costs around six dollars, something that fits into our budget very nicely (yes, that is a hint about the relatively empty PayPal inbox). A reader has informed me that Guilty of Treason is also available on Amazon Instant View.
Finally, there is another motion picture currently in production that seems to aspire to to follow in the recent tradition of epic Catholic motion pictures such as The Passion of the Christ and For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada. The new motion picture is entitled Nicaea The Movie. Mrs. Randy Engel has written an article on the new project: NICAEA-- an inspiration epic movie in the making.
Check back tomorrow morning.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Philip Benizi, pray for us. Saint Bartholomew, pray for us.
Although it is impossible for me to write lengthy articles on each of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's truly stupefying words and actions in defiance of the Catholic Faith, a judicious selection of two recent statements should demonstrate that this man, who plans to "consecrate" the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Rome on October 13, 2013, while "borrowing" the statue of Our Lady of Fatima from Portugal, is far, far from any true knowledge of what it is to be devoted to Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saints Timothy, Hippolytus and Symphorian, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary, that heart that was pierced with Seven Swords
of Sorrow during the Life of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was formed out of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These twin hearts of matchless love
suffered as one and they beat as one while on earth and they have beat
as one in Heaven since Our Lady was Assumed there body and soul after
her death.
Our Lady's Immaculate Heart was unstained by Original
Sin or Actual Sins. The Immaculate Heart of the Mother of God,
therefore, was capable of a purity of love of God and of her fellow men
that is almost indescribable. Our Lady's Most Pure, Most Holy Heart
despises the sins that caused her Divine Son to suffer in His Sacred
Humanity during His Passion and Death but at the same time is full of a
perfect and completely pure maternal compassion for erring sinners such
as you and me.
Our Lord, showing us His infinite compassion for us
erring sinners, has sent us His Most Blessed Mother to provide us with
her maternal assistance to get home to Heaven as members of His true
Church founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. We have been given the
Rosary, the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel, the Miraculous Medal, and
the Green Scapular through her loving hands, through which flow the
graces won for us by the shedding of Our Lord's Most Precious Blood on
the wood of the Holy Cross. Her apparition to Juan Diego and the
miraculous image of herself she left on his tilma helped to convert
millions of Indians to the true Faith in the Americas. Our Lady ratified
Pope Pius IX's solemn proclamation of her Immaculate Conception by
proclaiming herself to Saint Bernadette Soubirous to be the Immaculate
Conception on March 25, 1858. And Our Lady's appearance in the Cova da
Iria from May 13, 1917, to October 13, 1917, gave us Heaven's Peace
Plan, one that runs through her Immaculate Heart.
We must endeavor at all times to fulfill, as far as
we are able in this time of apostasy and betrayal, Our Lady's Fatima
Message in our own lives, especially by praying as many Rosaries each
day as our states-in-life permit and by living penitentially as the
consecrated slaves of her Divine Son through her own Immaculate Heart.
The era of apostasy and betrayal will end when the Triumph of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary is made manifest.
We can play our roles, small
though they may be, in helping to bring about this triumph.
What are we
waiting for?
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death.
A blessed Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to you all.
Although there are other articles to be written, work on those was interrupted in order to provide you with a few excerpts, accompanied by a bit of commentary, you understand, from Nikita Roncalli, a book by Franco Bellegrandi that was published in 1996 in Rome, endorsed by none other than my friend Silvio Cardinal Oddi, who died on June 29, 2001, the Feast of Saints Peter and Peter, although its text, which is compelling reading in its entirety, had been written about twenty years earlier. You will see from reading the excerpts from this book contained in the current article that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is just the latest in a long line of ecclesiastical tyrants. The next original article will appear in two days, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, pray for us.
Many thousands of Mohammedans in Egypt are doing what comes naturally to them as part of their religion of violence and hatred: kill Christians and burn their churches. All that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro can do, though, is to speak in thoroughly Judeo-Masonic platitudes about "peace" and "reconciliation." No room for Christ the King. No room for His Most Blessed Mother's Fatima Message.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Agapitus, pray for us. Saint Helena, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of Saint
Hyacinth, O.P., the great Apostle of the Northland and one of the first
members of the Order of Preachers founded by Saint Dominic de Guzman.
Saint Hyacinth's great zeal for souls and his desire to convert pagans
out of their diabolical superstitions into the true Faith, outside of
which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true
social order.
Saint Hyacinth, who had such a great and abiding love for
Our Lady, who favored him with apparitions, stands in quite a contrast
with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and his successor, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis. Both of these heretics have praised the very false religions
that Saint Hyacinth--and every other Catholic missionary--sought to
eradicate from the face of the earth by seeking the unconditional
conversion of their adherents to the false religion. The difference
between Saint Hyacinth's fidelity and apostasy of the conciliar "popes"stark. It is right there in black and white for all who have the grace
to see. See for yourself.
As considerable time was spent adding links to the preface of this revised article, a preface that provides a useful and handy resource for those who are new to this site and want to review past articles on Ratzinger and Bergoglio, work on the next article, which has begun, will be completed later today for posting today or tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint
Hyacinth, pray for us.
This is the concluding part of my current series, focusing on how the hapless naturalists of the false opposite of the "right" help the ball of statism moving by enabling those of the "left," including Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, at every turn. It's back to Jorge and friends tomorrow. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint Joachim, the father of
the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and the Mediatrix of All
Graces, knew the contempt that would be visited upon His Divine
Grandson, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, sent himself into
voluntary exile after he was denounced by a priest of the Old
Dispensation for not producing a child after twenty years of marriage to
his wife, our good Saint Anne. He was visited by an angel, who reminded
him of the fact that Abraham's wife, Sarah, did not conceive a child
until she was ninety years old, telling him that his wife, Saint Anne,
would conceive a daughter named Mary, who would be the Mother of God.
Saint Joachim and Saint Anne brought their daughter
to the Temple when she was three years ago, giving their long-awaited
child back to the good God Who had given them to her so that she could
be the Mother of their own Saviour, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ. This should teach us to do everything possible to foster
vocations to the priesthood and the consecrated religious life among our
children, so that we can give them back to God so as to yield a
spiritual bounty of souls in His service, especially in this time of
apostasy and betrayal. Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us!
Today is the feast of the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She who was conceived without
stain of Original Sin and who committed no Actual Sins in her life did
not have to have her body undergo the corruption of the grave. Separated
physically from her Divine Son after His Ascension into Heaven on
Ascension Thursday, although she received Him in Holy Communion, Our
Lady was Assumed body and soul into Heaven to plead for us with her
Divine Son as the Queen of Heaven and of Earth, the Queen to whom every
man must pledge his heart's oblation, the Queen whom every nation must
honor publicly with Rosary Processions.
Our Lady wants us to be in
Heaven with her for all eternity. She wants our bodies to rise up
incorrupt and glorious from the grave on the Last Day at the General
Judgment of the Living and Dead so that our bodies can be reunited with
our souls for all eternity in the glory of Heaven. We need to ask her to
help us make such perfect reparation for our sins in this passing,
mortal vale of tears that we will pay the debt of what we our for our
sins now rather than in the fires of Purgatory. We need to ask her to
help us to be serious about seeking sanctity as the consecrated slaves
of her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. What
are we waiting for?
Work on the next original article to be posted on this site continues. However, the hour is very late, and I do want to be able to enjoy this glorious feast day with my family without suffering from sleep deprivation. Part two of my current series should be posted tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Joachim (and also, at least in some places, a commemoration of Saint Roch, better known in this country as Saint Rocco).
Statism is on the march. Perhaps you might have taken notice. This is part one of two. It is time to bid you farewell for now. A bit of sleep beckons. Thank you. Our Lady, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us. Saints Hippolytus and Cassian, pray for us. Saint John Berchmanns, S.J., pray for us.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has now made it much more possible for those in the nooks and crannies of the counterfeit church of concilairism to support all manner of various evils without any fear of contradiction from the conciliar authorities in Rome. This, of course, emboldens the lords of Modernity in the world to go about their daily business to promote even greater evils as most people, including Catholics, permit themselves to be diverted by bread and circuses as they live according to brute sense pleasures and the dictates of human respect and sentimentality. Such people are, of course, recruits in the army of Antichrist to serve against the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Clare of Assisi, pray for us.
Although part three of my current series will have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday, an article from four years ago honoring our great Wonderworker, Saint Philomena, has been revised for posting today, August 11, 2013, the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saints Tiburtius and Susanna and of the Wonderworker herself, who is not on the universal calendar of the Roman Rite but whose cultus was confirmed by none other than Pope Saint Pius X. That's good enough for me!
Our Lady of the Universal Living Rosary Association, pray for us.
"Conservative" and traditionally-mined Catholics have been sent down the river and thrown under the bus by Jorge Mario "Social Work, Social Work Last, Social Work Only" Bergoglio, thus emboldening ultra-progressive Modernist clergy in the conciliar structures and enabling the lords of Modernity in civil government. And to think that Vaticanologist Sandro Magister is comparing this heretic to Pope Saint Pius X. Sure, there is a comparison to be made. Absolutely. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is an Anti-Pope Saint Pius X. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Lawrence the Deacon, pray for us.
Part three of this series should appear tomorrow or Monday.
By the way, Thursday's article, To Avoid Suffering In The Name Of Compassion, was expanded slightly after its initial posting, undergoing yet another brief revision last evening to include the following comments offered by a Catholic attorney, who gave me permission to insert them into the article:
Just read your article on death peddlers for the aged. You are 100%
correct. In my practice I often see the last medical records in probate
cases. Older patients routinely put on morphine IV drip for no reason.
Their adult children are pressured to "let Mom go, she's had a long
life." This is demonic.
Please understand that the medical industry has sold us a bill of goods. Do not be deceived.
Conciliar officials are lining up to serve as the apologists for Jorge Mario Bergoglio's commands of "thou shalt not preach about abortion and "thou shalt be welcoming of gays." Behold the madness unleashed by the "religious liberty" that was so exalted by Archbishop John Carroll over two hundred years ago now, a madness that was embraced universally for the counterfeit church of conciliarism at the "Second" Vatican Council. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
Today is the feast of Saint John Mary
Vianney. This great saint, the patron of diocesan
priests, teaches us much about humility and perseverance.
Saint John Mary Vianney humbly recognized that he was
not the brightest pupil, that he was, to use even his own description,
slow in his studies. He had great difficulty learning his Latin. Other
studies came hard to him as well. He did not give up. Helped by a
wonderful mentor, Father Balley, who had worked as a carpenter during
the French Revolution so as to hide his identify as a Catholic priest as
he offered Mass in various hideaways and without any "communion" with
the bishops and priests of the "constitutional church," John Mary
Vianney persevered time and time and time again, praying to Saint John
Francis Regis for help and guidance.
Yes, he was tempted to quit his studies, believing
himself to unworthy of priestly ordination because of his lack of
intellectual aptitude. Father Balley told him very pointedly, "You've
decided to give in to the devil?" That knocked some sense into our
Saint, and it should knock some sense into any young man today who might
have experienced some difficulties and perhaps even gross injustices in
their own pursuit of the priesthood. Never give up. We need priests,
especially now in this time of apostasy and betrayal.
Always close to Our Lady, Saint John Mary Vianney was
brought to the point of his priestly ordination on August 13, 1815. His
superiors judged that his moral qualities had overcome any academic
deficiencies that would have held others back from being ordained to the
priesthood, and they were vindicated in their judgment by the long and
devoted service that he gave to the people of Ars.
Oh yes, sure, he
tried to run away from his people on three occasions, wanting to seek
the solitude of a monastery. Each time, however, he responded to the
pleas of his sheep who loved their shepherd, who spent so much time in
prayer before the Blessed Sacrament and in the confessional to hear the
confessions of the thousands of people who flocked from all over the
world to the merits of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus applied to their
souls through his priestly ministry, and returned home to Ars.
Saint John Mary Vianney, who knew failure in his
studies for the priesthood, was a firm supporter of the "patron of
failures," Pauline Jaricot, the foundress of Society of the Propagation
of the Faith and the Universal Living Rosary Association, and zealously
devoted to the cause of our great wonderworker, Saint Philomena. Saint
John Mary Vianney spent himself tirelessly in behalf of the flock that
was entrusted to his pastoral care. We need to invoke his intercession
so that our own true bishops and priests will be fortified by his
example as they seek to serve us, the scattering and wandering sheep of
this time of apostasy and betrayal, unto eternity.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for is. Saint John Mary Vianney, the Cure of Ars, pray for us.
All manner of slogans are being used to mask the killing of innocent human beings. Make not mistake about it, however: the direct, intentional killing of human beings all every stage of life--from the the moment of conception until death--has become an accomplished and accepted fact in so-called "developed" nations, including right here in the United States of America.
Do not trust the merchants of death, not even those who ply their trade in the name of "compassion" in hospices, where even the chronically ill are heavily sedated, many times against their own will, in preparation for showing their loved ones that "death" is near, a death induced by increasingly higher doses of a variety of drugs (Di latin, potassium chloride, morphine).
This article is very long. It too much time to complete. I thank you for your patience as I attempt to refrain from working too many nights a week into the early morning hours.
Finally, postal officials confirmed yesterday what I knew to be the case: most of the snail mail sent to us in the past six weeks or so has been returned to the senders. If you have attempted to mail us something and have not received an acknowledgment from us, this means that we did not receive your mail. Please do write to me at DrThomasADroleskey@gmail.com if you have sent us something, indicating when your mailed it and from what location. This would help to rectify the problem, which the postal authorities have said was caused, by a scanner reading the "D" in our last name as a "P." The postal employee who left me a voice message yesterday actually blamed our correspondents for this problem, stating that their penmanship was at fault. I am not making this up.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saints Cyriacus, Largus and Smaragdus, pray for us.
Today is the great Feast of the
Transfiguration of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Mount
Thabor in the presence of the Apostles Peter, James and John and in the
company of Moses and Elias. God the Father repeated the proclamation
that He had made as His Co-Equal Son made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal
and Immaculate Womb was baptized by His cousin, Saint John the Baptist
in the Jordan River prior to the assumption of His Public Ministry,
"This is My beloved Son, hear yet Him."
Our Lord was transfigured in the glory that He shared
with the God the Father and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity in
Heaven in order to show forth His Sacred Divinity to Saints Peter, the
first Pope, Saint James, the first Bishop of Jerusalem and the first of
the Apostles to be martyred, and Saint James's brother, Saint John, the
beloved Apostle and the Apostle of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, to
help console them during the events of His Passion and Death.
It is our goal to be transfigured in glory for all
eternity in Heaven. The only path to the heavenly Mount Thabor, however,
is by climbing atop Mount Calvary every day of our lives, willingly
bearing our crosses in reparation for our sins and those of the world as
we offer whatever merit we gain for the patient and joyful endurance of
these crosses to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful
and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Indeed, our climb to Heaven by ascending
first to Mount Calvary is signified every day a true bishop or a true
priest completes the prayers at the foot of the altar and ascends the
three steps (mystically symbolic of the Thee Persons of the Most Blessed
Trinity and of the three stages of the interior life) to the altar
itself. If we desire to be transfigured in all glory in Heaven we must,
therefore, be willing to be shamed and humiliated by the the ignominy
associated with the Holy Cross.
The glories of Heaven are worth such temporary shame
and humiliation and ignominy, are they not? May Our Lady, who awaits us
in the heavenly Mount Thabor and intercedes for us from there, help us
to ascend to Mount Calvary every day in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
so that we can keep her company at the foot of the Cross every day our
lives as a a preparation for spending all eternity in the glories of
Heaven with her and Saint Joseph and all of the angels and the saints.
A blessed Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to you all.
Saints Sixtus, Felicissimus and Agapitus, pray for us.
Although late in the day on the Feast of the Dedication of Our Lady of the Snow, the final part of the current series has been posted. Work on it was suspended at 1:00 a.m., resuming later this morning. Although there are only about one hundred fifty to three hundred people who read most of the articles on the site at this time, I did want to provide this final installment to those who are checking this site for it. Thank you for your patience. Our Lady of the Snow, pray for us.
Saint Dominic de Guzman had
such great zeal for souls from his earliest days in seminary. As is well
known, it was a conversation with an innkeeper in the Albigensian
stronghold of Toulouse, France, changed the whole direction of his
priesthood as he sought to win back souls from the darkness of an early
forerunner of Calvinism, Albigensianism. Our Lady, sent by her Divine
Son out of the ineffable Mercy that He has in His Most Sacred Heart,
which was formed out of her own Immaculate Heart, to bring back the lost
sheep (and not to beat up on the sheep when their souls are sorely
distressed) out of the new form of Manicheaism that had arisen in
southern France, gave Saint Dominic her Most Holy Rosary to the be the
weapon to crush the Albigensian heresy. Saint Dominic de Guzman used the
weapon of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary very well and taught others how to
do so.
Every Catholic, of course, owes a great deal to Saint
Dominic, who walked between southern France and Rome several times
during his life--and who accompanied two of the first Dominicans, Saints
Hyacinth and his brother, Saint Ceslaus, on the first leg of their trip
in Italy back to Krakow before he, Saint Dominic, had to turn back.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Dominic de Guzman, pray for us.
Although written on July 10, 2013, a letter that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis wrote to be issued yesterday at the end of the Mohammedan diabolical observances known as Ramadan is simply an exercise in self-caricature as he, much like his predecessors before him in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, blasphemes the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, by praising false religions and urging "respect" for them. This is a very short article. Part four of my ongoing series will appear on Monday.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the great Saint
Alphonsus de Liguori, the Patron of Moral Theologians. It was over five
years ago now that I recorded each of the Sunday sermons of Saint
Alphonsus for the "Save Thy Souls" section of Traditional Catholic Sermons.org.
It was a very sobering experience as I recognized that Saint Alphonsus
was speaking directly to me, condemning my sins and my lukewarmness.
Ouch. He certainly gave me what for, and I am grateful that he did so.
Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, the founder of the
Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists), was
particularly emphatic in teaching us that we must avoid sins of human
respect. That is, we can show no partiality or favoritism to those in
power if they are doing things that put the temporal or, more important,
the eternal welfare into jeopardy. This applies to the likes of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, who blasphemes God on a regular basis, and to
most of his "bishops," men who believe that the sheep are their enemies
and that they can stonewall and intimidate the sheep into remaining
silent about real and documented abuses of power and real and documented
violations of the integrity of the Holy Faith:
And when there is question of the divine honour, we should not be
frightened by the dignity of the man who offends God; let us say to him
openly: This is sinful; it cannot be done. Let us imitate the Baptist,
who reproved King Herod for living his brother's wife and said to him:
"It is not lawful for thee to have her"--Matt., xiv. 4. Men indeed shall
regard us as fools, and turn us into derision; but, on the day of
judgment they shall acknowledge that they have been foolish, and we have
shall have the glory of being numbered among the saints. They shall
say: "These are they whom we had some time in derision. . . . . We fools
esteemed their life madness, and their end without honour. Behold how
they are numbered among the children of God, and their lot is among the
saints"--Wis., v. 3, 4, 5. (Sixth Sunday After Easter: On Human Respect.)
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, pray for us. Pope Saint Stephen I, pray for us.
Yesterday was spent catching up with mundane tasks that needed to be completed. Given the fact that yesterday's article was not posted until a little before 4:00 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, and that part two of the ongoing series had been published about seven hours before that, it was time for a day away from writing about Bergoglio/Francis. Part four, however, should appear tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Part two of this series appeared last night. This is now part three. There will be a part four, although perhaps maybe not until Saturday, the Feast of the Finding of the Body of Saint Stephen the Protomartyr and the First Sunday in the Month of August, the moth of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This article should not be read by the young or by those who do not want to read about matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. For, yes, this is the article that deals with the part of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's interview with reporters three days on his flight back to Rome from Brazil that dealt with the matter of treating those afflicted with perverse tendencies as "brothers" and not to "judge" them.
The Chair of Saint Peter is in chains today just as surely as Saint Peter himself was nearly two millennia ago. We need to pray to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary during this month of August now as never before for the chains that bind the Chair of Saint Peter today to be broken as miraculously as were those that had bound Saint Peter, our first pope.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and and the hour of our death. Saint Peter pray for us. Saint Paul, pray for us. The Holy Machabees, pray for us.
Work begins immediately on part three of this series. This part is a direct follow-up to yesterday's article. Part three will deal with Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's remarkable interview that he gave on the flight that took him from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Rome, Italy, three days ago. Yes, indeed, Francis says ¡Viva la Revolución! Part three should appear by tomorrow morning, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of Saint
Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. Saint Ignatius
laid down his military armor in front of an image of Our Lady in the
Benedictine monastery in Montserrat, Spain, on the Feast of the
Annunciation, March 25, 1522, becoming a soldier in the army of Christ
the King. Saint Ignatius of Loyola was always in the "company of Jesus,"
always seeking to advance the cause of the Holy Faith.
Saint Ignatius of Loyola attracted men of character
and determination of purpose right from the beginning, men who were
serious about retarding the advances of the Protestant Revolution and
seeking the conversion of pagans in far away lands. The devil hated this
good work of the Society of Jesus, which he why he sought to corrupt
the sons of Saint Ignatius in the Twentieth Century by means of the
various propositions of Modernism. The most corrupt of them all now, of course, is Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
We need to pray to Saint Ignatius and
his company of Jesuit saints in Heaven, each of whom was so tenderly
devoted to the Mother of God, to help us to be as brave and faithful and
gallant as they were in defending the Sacred Honor of Christ the King
and of Mary our Immaculate Queen. Our Lady of the Society of Jesus, pray
for us. Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.
Speaking of the false "pontiff," work on part two of yesterday's commentary is well underway. Given the lateness of the present hour after four straight late night/early hour postings, though, it is not possible to do justice to its completion until later today for posting tomorrow morning, Thursday, August 1, 2013, the Feast of Saint Peter's Chains and the Commemorations of Saint Paul and of the Holy Machabees, whose relics are, of course, in the Church of Saint Peter's Chains in Rome, Italy. Thank you for your patience. Yesterday's article was not completed until 3:00 a.m. It's just tough to turn it around as quickly as I could in my twenties forty years ago now.
Finally, I want to extend a public note of thanks to four people who have sent us unexpected financial gifts via PayPal in the past few days. As noted a few days ago, the donations page will no longer be updated. We still do need the support of this site's readers, and each non-tax-deductible financial gift helps make it possible for this work to continue. We pray for our benefactors, past and present, every day day without fail.
Last night and early morning today were meant to be spent away from the computer and in an horizontal object known as bed. Pharaoh Francis changed all of this yesterday, first with news that a decree had been issued by the conciliar Congregation of Religious commanding the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate to stage the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service and, in open contravention of Pharaoh Benedict's Summorum Pontificum, July 7, 2007, to require them to receive permission from the conciliar authorities to offer/stage the 1962 version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition as revised in 2013. Yes, a new king has come to power while the old king lives long enough to see with his own eyes that nothing is stable and nothing is secure in any false church, including that of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
Part two of this commentary will focus on Pharaoh Francis's interview with reporters aboard the plane that took him from Brazil back to Rome.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saints Abdon and Sennen, pray for us.
Although a more substantive review and commentary on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's address yesterday, Sunday, July 28, 2013, the Tenth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saints Nazarius, Celsus, Innocent and Victory, to the leadership of the Latin American "bishops'" conference (CELAM), this overview of yesterday's liturgical travesty should hold you until then. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Felix, Simplicius, Faustinus and Beatrice, pray for us.
This commentary turned out to be a bit longer than anticipated. The chief revolutionary of the counterfeit church of conciliarism has been very busy doing "missionary" work in behalf of the shopworn old cliches he learned in the 1960s and into practice pastorally in the 1970s. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is really saying nothing now in Rio de Janeiro that he has not said in the past four months at the Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican. He simply has a wider audience now, which is why our need for making reparation for the offenses he gives to God and for the harm that he does to souls is more urgent than it has been in the past. It is truly remarkable to be a eyewitness to this sad spectacles offered in the name of Catholicism when they are but products of the devil and his minions.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Nazarius, Celsus, Innocent and Victor, pray for us.
July 27 Update
As the hour is late and there is "nothing in the tank" after long hours of writing into far into the night the past two days, work on the next article, which, of course, deals with the spiritual, doctrinal, liturgical, moral and aesthetic atrocity that is "World Day 2013" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will have to wait. It might be posted by the latter part of tomorrow afternoon. Keep checking. Thank you for your patience.
Finally, although I had thought about updating the donations page for the first time in nine weeks, I concluded that to do so would be a complete waste of time given the lack of response to the one made on May 24, 2013. I do, however, want to call your attention to the needs of a traditional Catholic family in Canada whose house and business of printing exemplary books on Catholic modesty perished in a blazing fire on Friday, July 19, 2013. The family is without insurance and thus has lost everything in the world that they own. Please read more about this family's plight atPlease Help This Family: They Lost Everything in a Fire, remembering them in your prayers and providing them with whatever assistance you can. Thank you.
Another day, another World Youth Day commentary for the multitudes who access this site on a daily basis.
Today is the Feast of Good Saint Anne, the mother
of the Immaculate Conception and the grandmother of the Word Who was
made Flesh in her daughter' Virginal and Immaculate womb.
Saint Anne
was privileged to carry within her own womb the woman who would make
possible the salvation of us all by her perfect fiat at the Annunciation.
She was privileged to hold within her loving arms her Divine Grandson,
thus making her the model not only for good Catholic mothers but also
the model of all Catholic grandmothers.
Saint Anne teaches parents to
train their children for eternity. Although Our Lady, who was born some
fifteen years before Our Lord, was conceived without stain of Original
Sin and was unspotted by the stain of Actual Sin, she still had to learn
from Saint Anne and from her father, Saint Joachim, about the things
of God for the first three years of her life, starting with the Scriptures. Saint Anne lovingly prepared her
daughter, Mary of Nazareth, to know the Scriptures when she heard them
read in the synagogue and thus to be ready to respond to God the Father's
will when she was asked by Saint Gabriel the Archangel to enflesh their
Author by the power of God the Holy Ghost.
Saint Anne and Saint Joachim
presented Our Lady in the Temple when she was three years of age, giving
her entirely to God as they left her in the Temple, when she was prepared further by divine inspirations for the moment we commemorate every day we pray the Angelus.
This should inspire those of us with daughters
to do everything we can to foster a simplicity of life that is founded
in a detachment from the things of this world and a love of the things
of eternity so that our daughters will choose to fulfill their obligations as the consecrated slaves of Our Lady's Divine Son, Saint Anne's Grandson, through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
An attempt to complete a new article for posting yesterday was defeated by this home page having been swallowed up by the Adobe Contribute software upon which these articles are written. I have been working with this is program since this site's inception in 2004 as the continuation of the printed journal of the same name (1996 to 2003) in the days when the program was called "Macromedia Contribute," being as of yet unable to figure out why certain things happen when articles get posted and then disappear. Word Press is easier. I know this from the site created to promote my book published last year (a site that has been neglected in recent months as the work for this site is about all I can handle, actually more than I can handle most of the time!).
Anyhow, here is the newest article. It deals with the events of the past two days at World Youth Day. Bishop Fernando Areas Rifan of the Society of Saint John Mary Vianney gets a generous mention in this particular article, whose feature attraction, of course, is Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and the syncretism upon which is false religion of conciliarism is based.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint James the Greater, pray for us. Saint Christopher, pray for us.
A very late hour. Suffice it to say that Jorge Mario Bergoglio is in Brazil, where he will continue to do the work of an anti-apostle.
Do not look to this site for any links to the salacious photographs that will be taken this week in Rio de Janiero and its environs. It is enough to comment on the anti-apostle's words, which will probably stick pretty closely to the script as he does not speak Portuguese easily, and the general ambiance of decadence that permeates this conciliar version of Woodstock.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Apollinaris, pray for us. Saint Liborius, pray for us.
Although it was not my intention to write again on the case of George Zimmerman, our reigning caesar has made such a commentary timely as he continues to inflame passions in order to further empower himself and his fellow professional race-baiters. Alas, tribalism must replace the true identity of men as redeemed creatures and members of the Catholic Church in a world not defined by and submissive to the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by Holy Mother Church. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Mary Magdalene, pray for us.
Efforts will be made to keep up with the daily barrage of apostasies, blasphemies, sacrileges and other outrages that start unfolding today during the events associated with the syncretist Woodstock known as "World Youth Day."
That's what Jorge Mario Bergoglio and friends are doing at such a breakneck speed now that it is almost impossible to do justice to the offenses they are giving to the Most Blessed Trinity and the harm they are doing to souls in these commentaries. Suffice it to say that we must do much reparation in the coming days as these offenses and harmful doctrines and liturgies, none of which can come from the Catholic Church, get worldwide exposure once again as a result of World Youth Day, which is being held in Rio di Janeiro, Brazil. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Jerome Emiliani, pray for us. Saint Margaret, Virgin and Martyr, pray for us.
It appears as though I must give the reigning caesar some attention for tomorrow's posting.
The conciliar Vatican is promising "partial indulgences" to those who follow and read Jorge Mario Bergoglio's comments on something called "Twitter" (please, do not bother ever to "invite" me to make use of this supposed "social networking tool" as some well-meaning readers have done). It is my hope and prayer that the good God has mercy on those of us who have to read and comment on Bergoglio's own madness and that of his conciliar "bishops." And it is with this brief thought that I present to you the concluding part of the series begun four days ago while I take my leave to get a few hours of sleep. (I'll have a bit to say in a few days concerning the state of the PayPal inbox and snail mail. Suffice it to say that the former has been empty since July 3, 2013, and the latter, well, I'll just leave that for later.)
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Camillus de Lellis, pray for us. Saint Symphorosa and her Seven Companions, pray for us.
This article could have been entitled, "Live by the United Nations, Die by the United Nations." Part three will be posted either tomorrow or Thursday. Part one, by the way, was posted on Sunday.
We must use the shield of Our
Lady of Mount Carmel's Brown Scapular to defend us against all of the
attacks of the devil in our lives, especially as we seek to protect
ourselves from the contagions of conciliarism, including the insidious
lie of false ecumenism.
This great feast today, of course, represents what
tremendous love that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has for
us by sending us His Most Blessed Mother to give us a sacramental by
which we are clothed in the garment of her Brown Scapular, which serves
as a particular protection at the moment of death if we have been
faithful to all of the conditions of our enrollment. Our Lord has
permitted His Most Blessed Mother to give us so many aids to get home to
Heaven--the Rosary, the Brown Scapular, the Miraculous Medal, the Green
Scapular, devotion to her Immaculate Heart as part of her Fatima
Message. We must wear our Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel constantly as
we bear witness as best we can that we have been given a loving Mother
in Heaven who intercedes for us to live in such a way in this passing,
mortal vale of tears that we will always be ready to die and have her
pleading for us nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen."
Let us continue to pray for each other and for Holy
Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal as we shield
ourselves in Our Lady's garment of the Mount Scapular and pray with
fervor and devotion her Most Holy Rosary every day.
Finally, as has been noted many times on this website, it is necessary for Catholics, of all, people to use the brains that God has given them to reject the medical industry's profit-making, manufactured myth of "brain death" that is used as a pretext to dismember living human beings for their vital bodily members in the name of "compassion" and, of course, "giving the gift of life." Dr. Paul Byrne has yet another article explaining that the rush to kill is no aberration. Although other such cases have been the subject of articles on this site before, the case of Carol Burns, documented by Dr. Paul Byrne in Think you don't need an organ donor opt-out card? Think again -- the Burns case, should give those have not yet torn up their "organ donor" cards a good opportunity to do so and then obtain a donor opt-out card. This is truly a matter of life and death.
This is an article that I have been intending to write for a while. I made a promise, however, to the late Father Leo Franklin McNamara, who is the subject of this reflection, that I would write the article this past weekend. And thus it is that work on part two of yesterday's article will appear tomorrow, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In the meantime, however, I do hope that this posting provides you with a bit of inspiration and encouragement and that you might take Father Leo Franklin McNamara as an intercessor for your own needs.
Once again, I want to honor my own Confirmation
patron saint, Saint Henry the Emperor, on his feast day.
Saint Henry the Emperor was
a superb exemplar of the Social Reign of Christ the King who sought to
foster peace among men by promoting the missionary work of Holy Mother
Church in parts of central and eastern Europe near the end of the First
Millennium. He knew that Catholicism was the one and only foundation of
personal and social order, seeking at all times to honor Christ the King
and Mary our Immaculate Queen. May we plead with him this day and every
day to help us to see the world more clearly through the eyes of the
Catholic Faith as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ, He Who is the King of every man and every nation on the
face of this earth without any exception whatsoever, through the
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray
for us. Saint Henry the Emperor, pray for us.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and friends have occupied so much of my time lately that it has been impossible to offer many commentaries on the madness being promoted by their allies in the Judeo-Masonic world of Modernity. This particular commentary explains that each of the "crises" that vie for our attention in the endless news cycles that govern the emotions of so many people, including Catholics, is but the result of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolution and institutionalized by the organized forces of naturalism and religious indifferentism. Cheer up. Things are going to get worse, which is why we must be serious about living more penitentially as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Insofar as the the just verdict rendered last evening in the trial of George Zimmerman, an article from last year when the case was becoming a cause celebre, principally because of Eric Holder's Department of Injustice and Tawana Brawley's publicist from twenty-six years ago, Al Sharpton, is worthy of review as it placed the matter in the context of a supernatural setting, which has hardly been the focus of those commenting on the case since Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin seventeen months ago now. Please see: Who Grieves For Our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother? I have no intention of making any additional comment on the case, which is so symbolic of the problems that occur in a land that does not yoke itself to the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by the Catholic Church.
More than ever, ladies and gentlemen, we need to
withdraw from the addiction of television and radio. Yes, this is coming
from a former news addict. However, the operative word here is former.
One can keep reasonably informed without having his senses bombarded by
round-the-clock, highly-sensationalized and over-dramatized
"on-the-scene" reporting.
The saints did not need such things to keep
themselves informed about events the world. Indeed, the death of Saint
Bonaventure, whose feast day is commemorated today, July 14, spread so rapidly that
Pope Gregory X's command that all of the priests of the world offer the
Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for this great exponent of the Blessed
Sacrament and Holy Poverty was fulfilled in a very short period of time.
The Communion of Saints, ladies and gentlemen, can keep us more
informed than anyone named O'Reilly or Hannity or Limbaugh, believe me.
Saint Bonaventure instituted a feast in 1272 in honor
of his friend, King Louis IX, King of France, whom he knew to be a true
exemplar of the Social Reign of Christ the King. King Louis, a ruler
described by many as a man of sound common sense, was not beatified at
that time. Saint Bonaventure, having known that King Louis heard two
Masses a day, started the process by which this great ruler of
Christendom, truly a king for all times, would be canonized and raised
to the altars of the Church. We need to pray to Saint Bonaventure that
we will have the likes of Saint Louis IX soon after Our Lady's Fatima
Message is fulfilled by a true pope and all of the true bishops in the world who are in communion with him.
Until that occurs, though, we must continue steadfast
in prayer, especially before the Blessed Sacrament and to the Mother of
God through her Most Holy Rosary, beseeching God that we will be able
to be so possessed of the sensus Catholicus that we reject all
secular philosophies and approaches to the problems of the world as
emanating from only one place: Hell, which was shown by Our
Lady to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos ninety-six
years ago yesterday, July 13.
Want a place in Heaven?
Think as Heaven
wants us to think.
Think as Catholics.
Think supernaturally at all
times.
Speak supernaturally at all times.
Proclaim the banner of Christ
the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen without fear of any worldly
consequences.
Our Lord really meant it when He said:
For what shall it profit a man, if he
gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul? Or what shall a
man give in exchange for his soul? For he that shall be ashamed of me,
and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of
man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his
Father with the holy angels. (Mk. 8:36-38)
This is the conclusion of a three-part overview (and it is only that, an overview) of Lumen Fidei. Thank you for your patience as this series has kept other articles from being completed. Depending upon how well Brother Donkey recovers from another late-night/early-morning posting, there could be a new article tomorrow as well.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John Gualbert, pray for us. Saints Nabor and Felix, pray for us.
Here is part one of my overview of the "two-headed pope monster's" Lumeni Fidei. Part two should be posted late tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 (the Feast of Saints Thomas More and John Fisher in England and Wales and on which is observed the liturgy of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, and on which the Martyrs of Gorkum and Saint Maria Goretti are also commemorated even though none of those feasts is found in the universal calendar of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church). Part one focuses on the "qualifications," such as they are, of men such as Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis to teach in the name of the Catholic Faith, no less teach about what constitutes Faith Itself.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint Elizabeth of Portugal, pray for us.
The Daily Catholic website has a link to the Novena to Our Lady of Mount of Carmel that began last evening in preparation for her feast day on July 16, 2013. Please make a point of praying this important novena as everyone who is enrolled in Our Lady's Brown Scapular is a member of the Carmelite family.
July 7 Update
Having now read and digested (well, with the help of a few digestive enzymes, two ginger root capsules and one fennel seed capsule) "the two-headed pope monster's Lumen Fidei, I am preparing a three part commentary for your consideration.
Part one will discuss the "qualifications" of the conciliar revolutionaries to each about the Catholic Faith.
Part two will review what the Catholic Church teaches about Faith.
Part three will explain that the methodology used by Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis The Insidious Little Pest is pure Modernism by way of the "new theology" to which each is so devoted.
For the moment, however, keep in mind that the Gospel reading for Holy Mass today speaks directly about Ratzinger and Bergoglio as it records Our Lord's warning us about wolves in sheep's clothing. Behold the wolves. Flee from them.
Yes, it's official now. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis The Insidious Little Pest has signed the decree to "canonize" Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII and Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, who is the subject of this particular commentary. Even the successor of Monsignor Josemaria Balaguer y Albas, who was himself "canonized" by the rain-maker of "saints," Wojtyla/John Paul II, as the head of Opus Dei is up for "beatification." See Another Phony "Beatification in the Works.
A commentary on the two-headed "pope" monster's Lumen Fidei will follow in a few days as time needs to be taken to provide necessary breaks from reading a joint work of Joseph Alois Ratzinger and Jorge Mario Bergoglio. I am sure that you will understand. There might, however, be an intervening commentary on other matters before the one on the new conciliar "encyclical letter" is posted. Thanks in advance for your patience.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
This article was about sixty percent completed a little after Midnight today when I began falling asleep at the computer after having taking an antihistamine to combat the effects of a very penitential bug bite. Although it is around 4:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, I have decided to post the article now for anyone who might be accessing this site during the remaining hours of the day. A new article should appear tomorrow as well.
The current article discusses Jorge Mario Bergoglio's continued disparagement of penance and mortification, marking him as an insidious little pest of an apostate from whom Catholics must flee as a enemy of Christ the King and the souls for whom He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood to redeem.
Look at this, will you? Yes, yet another late hour. I have to get some sleep. If you want, though, you can read this article, which deals with the possible "double canonization" of Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII and Karol Wojtyla/John Paul five months from now. Roncalli is featured today. Wojtyla will be featured in part two. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Leo II, pray for us.
The hour is very late. Suffice it to say that this commentary is about the jolly old conciliar thug who loves to yuck it up whenever he gets a chance to demonstrate his oversized zest for being Timothy Michael Dolan. This commentary, though, should not be read by those seeking to avoid references to the scandalous behavior of the conciliar clergy. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Today is the magnificent feast
of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin, Saint
Elizabeth, and her preborn Divine Son's preborn Precursor, Saint John
the Baptist.
This date, July 2, marks the end of the period of Our
Lady's Visitation, which began on April 2, lasting until the
day after the octave day of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. Our
Lady's perfect Charity for her cousin and her Divine Son's Precursor
should prompt us to perform the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy at
all times, making sure as well to proclaim the Holy Name of Mary, she
whom all generations are duty bound to call blessed, as the Mother of
God who made possible our salvation by her perfect fiat to the will of
God the Father at the Annunciation and who is the Queen of Heaven and on
earth, the very Immaculate Conception who prays for us now and at the
hour of our deaths.
As was noted a few days ago, the pace of articles has been slowed somewhat as it is madness to let one be driven mad by the insane schemers of conciliarism. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's activities of the last few days, however, are deserving of some attention, which is why this current article is being posted. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the Most
Precious Blood Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Most
Precious Blood of Jesus is our laver of redemption, as our own sins,
each and every single one of them, caused It to be shed during the
events of Holy Thursday and Good Friday.
It was the thought of coming into contact with the
horror of our sins, the very antithesis of His Sacred Divinity, that
caused Our Lord to sweat droplets of His Most Precious Blood in His
Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane.
It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to be shed so terribly during His cruel scourging at the Pillar.
It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood
of Jesus to be shed as He was crowned with thorns to mock His Sacred
Kingship over men and their nations.
It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood
of Jesus to continue to be shed from the scourging and the crowning as
He walked up the steps to be judged by the Roman procurator, Pontius
Pilate. Droplets of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus are still venerated
by pilgrims as proceed on their knees up the Sancta Scala in Rome right
across from the Basilica di San Giovanni Laterano.
It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood to be shed as Our Lord's hands and knees were crucified.
It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood
of Jesus to be shed unto Its last drop as He hung on the gibbet of the
Holy Holy Cross for three hours, flowing in a torrent as Our Lord's
wounded side was pierced with the lance of Saint Longinus.
What is It that is poured out onto our souls when
they are Absolved by a true priest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance?
The Most Precious Blood of Jesus.
The Most Precious Blood of Jesus strengthens us when we receive It worthily in Holy Communion.
It was the shedding of the Most Precious Blood of
Jesus on the wood of the Holy Cross that ratified the New and Eternal
Covenant He inaugurated at the Last Supper, thereby obliterating forever
the old sacrifices of the blood of bulls and goats and lambs in Temple
worship, thus superseding he Old Covenant of the Jews.
We must celebrate this great Feast of the Most
Precious Blood of Jesus, which was pumped through Our Divine Redeemer's
Sacred Body by His Most Sacred Heart, the very font of Mercy, with
gratitude that we, sinners who caused It to be shed in torrents under
the most unspeakably cruel conditions, are bathed unto our redemption by
Its merits. May we never take the Most Precious Blood of Jesus for
granted.
Not a lot of new ground needs to be trod in light of the predictable decisions rendered yesterday by America's own "Temple of Doom," the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the separate but nevertheless related cases of United States v. Windsor and Hollingsworth v. Perry. The outcomes in these two cases is inevitable in a land whose governing charter admits of no higher authority than the words of its own text. Blame Martin Luther and his revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King. Blame King Henry VIII and the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King in the British isles. Blame the lords of Judeo-Masonry for helping to convince men, mere contingent creatures who did not create themselves and whose bodies will one day suffer the corruption of the grave after their immortal souls have been judged by Christ the King at the moment of their deaths, that they are sovereign, not Christ the King. Our Lady of Perpetual Help, pray for us.
Today is the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Please join us in praying to her under this title every day (we pray the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Devotions every Tuesday evening and will do again tonight as well).
Finally, please accept my apologies the lack of articles since the lengthy one published on Monday. The late nights take their toll, and I simply have to manage my time to attend to duties of state while recovering from an protracted cough and cold that has gone one now for twelve days. Penance is better than ever in 2013! All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you. Save souls.
Check back in a few days for the next article on this site. Thank you.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has been very busy the past three months seeking to continue the process of "liberating" Catholics from any "attachment" they might have of that big, bad "no church" of the "preconciliar" era that is now but a thing of the past. You see, the "liberation theology" that was praised recently by the conciliar prefect of the Congregation for the Deformation and Deconstruction of the Catholic Faith, Gerhard Ludwig Muller, really involves liberating what is believed to be the Catholic Church from her Divinely-appointed mission of sanctifying and saving souls.
The Catholic Church must seek with urgency the unconditional conversion of all non-Catholics to the true Faith. The conciliar revolutionaries do not believe this. They have "liberated" Catholics from Holy Mother Church's work of the salvation of souls in the name of a commitment to what is a Marxist-based desire to "serve the poor," accompanied by a plethora of Judeo-Masonic platitudes on behalf of the "brotherhood" of mankind that was so highly praised by Giovanni Montini/Paul the Sick, who had no use at all for the Social Reign of Christ the King. Behold the results of such "liberation." Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
In this regard, a very brief commentary,Epithets, by Timothy A. Duff, discusses the personal insults thrown at those "heretics" who reject the "resist while recognize" ecclesiology that was condemned by Pope Pius VI in Auctorem Fidei, August 28, 1794, and mocked by Bishop Emile Bougaud in the late-Nineteenth Century as nothing other than Gallicanism, and a concise but nevertheless thorough analysis provided on the Novus Ordo Watch Wire blog site refuting the latest effort on the part of the Tradition in Action website to dismiss sedevacantism as a canonical doctrine of the Catholic Church. Both Mr. Duff and the writers at Novus Ordo Wire have done excellent work in this regard.
Finally, I am offering you a slightly revised reflection on the Feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, His Name Shall Be John. Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
My own article today is fairly comprehensive. Check back on Wednesday for the next original article on this site.
These conciliarists just can't seem to stop hogging the headlines and, of course, my time. The star of today's proceedings is not the reigning statist in Washington, District of Columbia, but Timothy Michael "Cardinal" Dolan, whose free-wheeling, loosey-goosey mouth was at work two days ago at the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center in the Tompkinsville section of the Borough of Staten Island in the City of New York, New York.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint Paulinus of Nola, pray for us.
(There is a quotation from Saint Paulinus of Nola to be found on the ever-popular Donations page.
Another brief article. This is brief because God has seen fit in His ineffable mercy to visit me with a pretty nasty illness, which is borne in gratitude for the chance to make further reparation for my sins as the consecrated slave of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, and because there is no need to go on at length about Francis the Illusionist as his repetitive exercises in madness really make commentaries about them redundant. Attention will be turned in the next posting, which will be, most likely, before the next envelope is received in the post office box the way things have been going the past month or so (smile!), to the statists of Modernity, who repeat themselves in a variety of Judeo-Masonic ways. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
This republished article is
but a brief reflection on the brief but extraordinary life of sanctity
lived by Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, a great lover of the Our Blessed Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ in His Real Presence in the Most Blessed
Sacrament and of Our Lady. Saint Aloysius was intensely united to the
sufferings that Our Lord endured in His Passion and Death, offering up
his own sufferings prior to death, sufferings that he contracted as a
result of helping a man with the plague in Rome, in union with that of
Our Lord's own Passion and Death. Saint Aloysius was also devoted to the
angels, which makes sense as he had an angelic purity of his own. We
need to invoke his holy intercession to help us to have as a pure a
heart as he did as we attempt to make reparation to the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for
our own sins, especially any and all against Holy Purity. Saint Aloysius
Gonzaga, pray for us.
More disappearing doctrines from the sleight of the hands of the conciliar revolutionaries, feats of illusion that keep putting the war-mongering, Mohammedan-loving statist named Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro and his massive surveillance of us al in the name of "keep us free" to promote moral evils worldwide on the back burner for a few more days. Part three of this series should appear tomorrow. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Juliana Falconieri, pray for us. Saints Gervase and Protase, pray for us.
Yes, watch Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis make Catholic doctrines disappear right before your very eyes, including the doctrine of the Social Reign of Christ the King. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Ephrem the Deacon, pray for us. Saints Mark and Marcellinus, pray for us.
Just one more little detail. The lack of any mention of the state of the post office box-and the PayPal inbox--does not mean that loads of readers are suddenly flooding both with non-tax-deductible financial gifts. Today's posting represents the one hundred twentieth original article on this site thus far this year. Reader support is simply necessary to keep it going. Thank you.
That's what ten retired conciliar "bishops" in the United States of America have done by signing a document supportive of pro-abortion, pro-perversity "community" organizations that have received funding from the so-called "Catholic Campaign for Human Development." Yes, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is mentioned briefly in this one. He will be the star of the show once again tomorrow. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
The daily barrage of apostasy that comes out of the Occupy Vatican Movement does impede progress in the completion of commentaries on other subjects. Such is the case today as this commentary deals with the universal public face of apostasy's love-in two days ago with his cousin apostate of the Anglican branch of the One World Ecumenical Church. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
Today is the ninth anniversary
of the death of a true Catholic apostle, the late +William C. Koneazny.
This reflection, written after his death nine years ago, was revised four years ago.
Bill Koneazny
was instrumental in helping me break from my own embrace of the
Americanist heresy, and he was light years ahead of me in recognizing
that those who defect from the Catholic Faith cannot hold ecclesiastical
office legitimately.
We pray for Bill's soul every day as we join his
widow, Mrs. Eloise Koneazny, his children and and grandchildren and three sons-in-law and one
daughter-in-law and great grandchildren in remembering him in a special
way on this anniversary of his death.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O
Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of
the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in
peace. Amen.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis seems to be compulsively obsessed with those who see to "restore the past" in order to return to the straw man of the "no church" that has since been replaced by the "yes church" of the "Second" Vatican Council and the "magisterium" of the conciliar "popes." This commentary is brief. Yes, my friends in upstate New York east of Syracuse and west of Albany, this commentary really is briefer than most. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Basil the Great, pray for us.
Work on the commentary concerning the massive surveillance being conducted by the government of the United States of America on us all is taking longer to complete than expected. It should be posted, however, no later than the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, Sunday, June 16, 2013. Thank you for your patience.
This article, written three
years ago and revised in a few places last evening, attempts to draw
comparisons between Saint Basil the Great's battles with the Arians and
our own battles with the lords of the counterfeit church of conciliarism
and their apologists. I had forgotten, prior to re-reading the article,
just how many little nuggets from Dom Prosper Gueranger's The Liturgical Year are contained in its text. Here are just two excerpts that have quite
an application to our own times as so many people think nothing of
remaining silent in the face of the now retired Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's assaults
on the nature of dogmatic truth and his multiple sins, objectively
speaking, against the First Commandment and in the face of Jorge Mario Bergoglio's daily assaults against the sensus Catholicus.
The authors of disturbance today are not those of us
who point out the errors and blasphemes and sacrileges of the conciliar "popes," including Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, but those who are silent about and/or enable
these offenses. Saint Basil the Great, pray for us.
This my republished reflection
on the life and the work of our dear Saint Anthony, the hammer of
heretics who desired to die a martyr's death in an effort to convert
Mohammedans following his transfer from the Order of Saint Augustine to
the Order of Friars Minor. It was not God's Holy Will for Saint Anthony
to die a martyr's death as he became ill upon arriving in Morocco and
was then led as a result of shipwreck away from his native Portugal to
Sicily, and from there to Italy, where his fame as a preacher and
miracle worker began.
Saint Anthony lived for only thirty-six years,
teaching us that it is not the length of the years that matter. No, what
matters to God is how we use the time given to us this very day, which
could be our own last day on the face of this earth before our
Particular Judgment, to know, love, and serve Him as He has revealed
Himself to us exclusively through the Catholic Church. God is merciful
to those of us who have sinned much by giving us length of years so that
we might use our time well to make much reparation to the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for
our sins. Saint Anthony's work on earth was done when he was just
thirty-six years old, whereupon his work for us in Heaven commenced.
Dear, dear Saint Anthony, help us to find our way to
Heaven, especially by being as devoted to the Most Blessed Sacrament and
to the Mother of God as you were here on earth.
Work on the next original article has begun. Look for it tomorrow, Friday, June 14, 2013, the Octave Day of the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Commemoration of Saint Basil the Great.
Compromising with the errors of Modernity in the name of the "lesser of two evils" has led us to the very gates of hell. The forces of Modernity started their onslaught during certain phases of the Renaissance before unleashing their direct, frontal attacks with the Protestant Revolution's overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King and the subsequent rise of the organized forces of naturalism. And it is the "reconciliation" effected with the errors of Modernity by the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism that have resulted in the advance, legal institutionalization and social acceptance of one moral evil after another, including most recently approval for over-the-counter sales of the "Plan B" baby-killing people to women and girls of any age. We are indeed at the very gates of hell. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John of San Facundo, pray for us. Saints Basilides, Cyrinus, Nazarius and Nabor, pray for us.
Finally, I beg the patience of those who have sent e-mails in recent days. Given the press of duties-of-state, I am simply unable to answer e-mails, which take up a great deal of time, and keep up with the writing for this site. I will get to that correspondence in a week or ten days as the workload lessens some. Thank you for your patience.
As I have chosen not to write daily articles on the apostasies that abound in the fantasyland that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism, this particular commentary takes the place of what could have been two more nights of lost sleep. No, I am not going to let the conciliar revolutionaries do that any longer. Thus it is that there will be only three to five articles each week rather than four to six.
I want to take a brief moment to thank publicly those three people who have donated to us in the past week in response to a private solicitation. Such private solicitations have become necessary as the response to the May 24, 2013, Donations page update has been very poor. This is all within the Providence of God. I did, however, want to extend a note of thanks publicly to the very few number of generous souls who make the continuation of the work of this site possible. Please pray for the good souls who continue to make possible the work of this site.
A very late hour after four straight late-night postings. Enough for this week. This is a bit of a wrap-up on the false "pontiff's week of apostasy, focusing on just two of so many of his endless discourses on his false religion, conciliarism.
The officials of the counterfeit church of concilairism find endless ways to pervert the month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. There are some, such as Godfried Danneels, who seek to minimize, if not endorse, moral evils while there are others, such as Thomas Paprocki, the conciliar "bishop" of Springfield, Illinois, who believe that such evils can be fought with the weapons of conciliarism, which are evil in and of themselves. This article should be read only by those who do not want to read the graphic descent into evil into which men such as Danneels have plunged themselves. It is offered today to demonstrate that men such as Godfried Danneels have no love for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, which suffered such unspeakable horrors because of the sins of men.
We are so ungrateful and so indifferent in the face
of the great, tender mercies that have been showered upon us by the Most
Sacred Heart of Jesus, formed out of and beating as one with the
Immaculate Heart of Mary. A marvelous reflection, written by Father
Francois Charmot, S.J., in In Retreat With the Sacred Heart summarizes the Trinitarian nature of the love that flows out for us from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:
If I did not have some knowledge of the Heart of Jesus, how little would I realize the love of the Father!
But, looking upon the
pierced Heart of the Incarnate Word, I can say with assurance: blessed
be Thou, O Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who, in Him, has heaped upon
us all Thy spiritual blessings!
Before the creation of the
world Thou hast chosen us in Jesus, in order that we may be holy with
Him, through the love of the blessed Trinity.
Thy Son is charity, as Thou, Father, art charity.
He is all charity, as thou art all charity.
The charity of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost is the same, equal in Three Persons.
There are not three charities, but one singe coeternal love.
With what love I have been loved infinitely,
neither more nor less by Thee, Father, than by the Son and by Thy Holy
Spirit, since before the creation of the world!
If I believe that Jesus loves me, I believe that
His Father loves me just as much, and it is Thy Word who declares to me
that Thou, Father, and Thy Holy Spirit wish to dwell in me.
All those whom the Heart of Jesus loved: His
disciples, the children, the sinners, the diseased, the poor, the
humble, the persecuted.
Thou, Father, also loved them with the same love.
The Blessed Virgin was loved no less by Thee than by Thy Son, her Son, and by Thy Spirit.
O Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, blessed be Thou
for having foreordained that we should be Thy Sons in thine only
begotten Son, sons of adoption through Thy Son incarnate
Thou hast willed, by this gracious predestination,
that the Heart of Thy well-beloved Son should make us sharers in the
love of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
For this Heart encompasses all that the charity of the Three Persons could communicate from its Fire to the Incarnate Word.
In this Heart we possess by heritage such an
effusion of the Holy Spirit, such a furnace of love, such an ocean of
mercy, such an outpouring of tenderness, that it is impossible to
imagine any others in some perfect creature which would be closer to
infinite charity.
That is why, O Father, we know thy love through the Heart of Jesus.
Kind Father, kindest of Fathers, incomparably kind
Father, Thou hast willed that through the pierced Heart of Thy Son, we
should know the extent of Thy charity, Thy goodness, Thy paternity, Thy
longanimity, Thy mercy, Thy pardon, Thine eternal remission of sin.
And when this Heart which has so loved men--even to
the shedding of all Its blood for them--finally ceased to beat, the
death of Thy Son bore witness, even as the sacrifice of His Father who
had delivered Him, that the love of the Three Persons for us outweighs
the very life of the Man-God.
Through the pierced Heart of Thy Son, O infinitely
good Father, grant me the grace to believe implicitly in Thy love, to
love Thee as a Son, as Thy Son Jesus, who abandoned Himself to Thee in
the agony and on the cross in utter helplessness and total destitution,
solely because Thou were His Father. (Father Francois Charmot, S.J., In Retreat With the Sacred Heart, The Newman Press, 1956, pp. 16-18.)
A blessed Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus to you all! Let us
never be ungrateful or indifferent to the tender mercies shown us by the
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let our own hearts fly unto these tender
mercies through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Finally, please pray for the repose of the soul of Sharon's father, Mr. John Griffith Collins III, on what would have been his eighty-ninth birthday if he had not died on Saturday, February 3, 2007, the Feast of Saint Blase.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Although the breathtakingly defiant agents of Antichrist in the counterfeit church of conciliarism continue their assault on every aspect of the Catholic Faith on a daily basis, this articles focuses on their fellow agents in the ranks of the statist civil government that is founded on the very anti-Incarnational principles of Modernity with which they, the Modernists, have made their most contented and blissful "reconciliation." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Norbert, pray for us.
Daniel DiNardo and Gianfranco Ravasi come in for a bit of attention in this commentary, posted at yet another late hour. Eric Holder will be the star of the show tomorrow. Jorge Mario Bergoglio's recent "homily" praising Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII will be featured on Friday. Yes, the pace has been slowed some. However, the work will get done as time and duties permit. Thank you. Our Lady of Rosary, pray for us. Saint Boniface, pray for us.
This article is published with apologies for the delay in its posting.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Evening update: Although work has commenced on the next article, thoroughness requires a bit more time before its completion. Francis the Improv should, however, have kept you busy for a little while. Thanks again.
June 2 Update
Yes, I am working on the next article. The spirit is most willing to complete it. However, the toll of the workload these past five months has caught up with me, especially the very late nights kept this past week. Thus it is that I beg your patience until tomorrow morning for the next original article on this site as I am not going to let the newest universal public face of apostasy keep determining my bedtime. He will just have to wait for the appearance of "Francis At the Improv."
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Marcellinus, Peter and Erasmus, pray for us.
Today would have been the sixty-second anniversary of my late parents' wedding at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Hollis Hills, Queens, New York. Please do pray for the souls of the late Albert Henry Martin Droleskey and Norma Florence Red Fox Droleskey. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Please remember to pray for the souls of those killed in the most outbreak of tornadoes in Oklahoma as well for the injured and those who have suffered property loss. We must be ready at all times for the moment of our Particular Judgment.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us! Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour our death.
This is a republished article
in honor of today's Feast, the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Every person on the face of this earth is called to honor Mary our
Immaculate Queen. Every nation on this earth is called to give public
honor to the Queen of Heaven and of Earth, Our Lady, she who made
possible our very salvation by her perfect Fiat to the Holy Will of God
the Father at the Annunciation. It is fitting that we end her month, the
month of May, with this great feast as we hope end our lives with the
help of her prayers so that we can enjoy an unending Easter Sunday of
glory in Paradise as we give all adoration and worship to the Most
Blessed Trinity and give her our due love, honor and gratitude. Our
Lady, Queen of Heaven and of Earth, pray for us. Saint Petronilla, pray for us.
Yes, from Joe Biden's lips to your ears; Synagogue's Risen. My last original commentary in the month of May discusses the Vice President of the United States of America's remarks ten days ago celebrating the influence of Talmudism upon this country. Don't worry. Jorge Mario Bergoglio and Timothy Michael Dolan both get a mention. The article is relatively brief. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Also today there are three guest columns being published.
The first is a Book Review of Mr. Hugh Akins's Synagogue Rising that was submitted for publication to this site by Mr. Alex Dadessa. It is a good complement to my own new article for today, and I thank Mr. Dadessa for sending his book review to me while at the same time apologizing to him that it took me so long to post it.
The final two guest columns are brief but powerful reflections provided by Mr. Timothy A. Duff: Foul Ingratitude and John 10: 1. I thank Mr. Duff for sending these commentaries to me for publication on this site.
I should have another original column tomorrow. In the meantime, of course, I await the outpouring of envelopes in response to the Donations page update that was made a week ago today as only two envelopes, both from regular supporters, have arrived thus far. The readership of this site is far greater than two. We need your assistance. Thanks again.
A blessed Feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.
Today, on which we observe the Feast of Saint James the Greater, a son of Zebedee and Salome, who was present at the foot of the Holy Cross with her other son, Saint John the Evangelist, is the forty-third anniversary of the issuance of Humanae Vitae by Giovanni Montini/Paul VI.
Far from being an "orthodox" statement of the Catholic Faith, Humanae Vitae was a revolutionary document that inverted the ends of marriage, begetting, if you will, the cottage industry that is known today as "natural family planning," something that was not taught at any time in the history of the Catholic Church, no, not even by Pope Pius XII in his October 29, 1951, Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.
The purpose of this study, which has taken up a considerable amount of time in the last few weeks and has been vetted rather extensively by numerous individuals, including several priests, has several parts:
First, to demonstrate that the mindset of "family planning" is alien to the Catholic Faith.
Second, to study the meaning of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address from a review of the pertinent passages therein and from a consideration of how that was considered by some of commentaries made about it in the 1950s, focusing on two in particular.
Third, an examination of the revolutionary nature of Humanae Vitae and its reliance upon the personalist philosophy of Dietrich von Hildebrand and Father Herbert Doms, explaining how that philosophy had been condemned by the Holy Office in 1944, a condemnation that was reiterated by Pope Pius XII in his Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.
Fourth, an exploration of how the adversary used Humanae Vitae to propagate a belief in "family planning" while at the same time rallying "conservative" and "traditionally-minded" Catholics around the "pope" as he was attacked by "dissenters" who had been waiting for him to endorse contraception.
Fifth, a discussion of how it is not "impossible" for couples to observe complete marital abstinence, drawing from the very words of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address, in certain situations where this might be necessary or advisable.
What is outside of the scope of this study, which has gone through many revisions as it has undergone the vetting process, is any discussion of the issue of moral culpability on the part of those who have advised on this matter that they can licitly practice what is called "natural family planning." Although I completed all of the seminary coursework in moral theology necessary for priestly ordination, I am neither a pastor of souls or a moral theologian. Father Gerard Rusak of the Society of Saint Pius X has written what I believe to be a fine explication of the moral fault involved in the use of the rhythm method without the presence of the grave conditions outlined by Pope Pius XII in 1951 (see Natural Family Planning) that I found online Saturday evening. It is simply not the purpose of my study to delve into the matter as Catholics must rely upon their shepherds to guide them.
The purpose of this study can be summarized as follows: to explain that the term "natural family planning" has no relationship to anything that has ever been taught by the Catholic Church at any point in her history.
We can become so used to the proliferation of certain terms, my good and very few readers, that it is very easy to unthinkingly use the adversary's language in an effort to describe the teaching of the Catholic Church. We must avoid doing so. Precision of language is vital. We must not make the tragic mistake of adding the word "natural" to the words "family planning" as this cedes the linguistic "high ground" to the whole concept of the "family planning" movement that began in earnest in 1915 with the establishment of the National Birth Control League by Mary Coffin Ware Dennett and, of course, in 1917 under Margaret Sanger and her Birth Control Review, which became the foundation in 1921 of the American Birth Control League, the forerunner of what is known today as Planned Parenthood. Much confusion and unnecessary conflict can be generated by a imprecision of language.
One of those who reviewed this study is the Director of the U.S. Coalition for Life, Mrs. Randy Engel, one of the greatest and most diligent researchers of our time. Mrs. Engel was kind enough to offer the following comments for publication on this site:
Having spent the last six months working
on a similar article on the ill-fated Vatican Birth Control Commission of
1963-1966, I was very happy to see this well-documented report on how the very concept
of so-called “natural family planning,” much less its practice, is
alien to traditional Catholicism.
In any war, words are weapons. By
institutionalizing the term “NFP” the post-Conciliar Church has
shot itself in the foot… actually both feet. “Family planning”
is an anti-life term which means that a woman has the power to decide how many children a woman shall have and when she shall have them …. Never mind
that God is the Lord and Giver of Life. Its incorporation in the term “natural
family planning” has been huge propaganda plus for the enemies of God.
Nature does indeed have a plan for human
procreation but it is of a different species than “NFP.” Nature
favors youth in the matter of childbearing. The Church has, in the past,
encouraged young large families using breastfeeding as a natural spacer. The
first order of business of a married couple is to establish one’s
fertility, not to practice family limitation or postpone having a child. This
is absolutely necessary given the increase in sterility of married couples. Cana and pre-Cana classes need to stress these points ….
Not promote “NFP” as a “way of life.”
Dr. Tom Droleskey has done a positive service for
the Church with this scholarly work. Randy Engel, Director, U.S. Coalition
for Life.
I thank Mrs. Engel for her comments, expressing my gratitude to her for all of the wonderful work she has done in behalf of Catholic truth on matters of family life and education. I look forward to the publication of her own commentary.
Another reviewer who has offered comments for publication is the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, Father Louis Campbell, who was ordained as a member of the Order of Saint Augustine in Nova Scotia, Canada, on September 3, 1961 before leaving in the 1990s to teach at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, first in Elmhurst, Pennsylvania, and then in Denton, Nebraska, consequently becoming convinced that Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II was not a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. He has been in Texas for the past ten years, and we have always enjoyed assisting at his offerings of Holy Mass. Here are Father Campbell's remarks:
You have done us all a great
service in demonstrating very clearly that we must return to the sound teachings
of Pope Pius XII concerning the true ends of marriage. The deception and
confusion caused by the Margaret Sangers and the false teachers of the ‘Vatican
II’ Revolution have taken their toll, even among those who claim to hold to the
Church’s traditional teachings. We have yet to see the full consequences of
their evil plotting.
The countries of Europe have sealed their doom because of the virtually universal use of contraception
and ‘family planning’ in the European countries. I have read that their
birthrates have declined beyond the point of no return, so that they will be
unable to sustain their languages and cultures, and such vestiges of Christianity
that still remain. Strangers speaking different languages, and of a culture and
religion foreign to Europe are already invading, and there will be a violent
struggle. Unless God sees fit to intervene European civilization is about to
fall. The Vatican and many beloved Christian churches and shrines of Europe will be destroyed.
Unfortunately, we must say
the same for the United States and Canada. They will not be able to remain as they are. There
will be invasions, violence and bloodshed, and our beloved countries will never
be the same again. May God protect us!
I have to admit that I have
not totally escaped the general confusion that still affects the whole Novus
Ordo scene. I was a part of it, so I took for granted much of its erroneous
thinking and teaching. But, thanks be to God, I returned to the Traditional
Latin Mass, or at least a facsimile of in the Fraternity of St. Peter for five
years, until ten years ago I was invited down to St. Jude’s Shrine. And I have
come back to the more traditional teachings of the true Church concerning marriage.
When I prepare young couples for marriage I do teach them that God decides how
few or how many children they will have, as well as whatever else is necessary
for their marriage.
Father Campbell, whose weekly sermons are gems of the Faith, had the humility to recognize that he had been drawn into the erroneous thinking and teaching of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. We must pray for that same humility to admit whenever we have permeated the slogans of the day to convince us to attach an anti-family life slogan such as "natural family planning" to the teaching of the Catholic Church. As one who used this term for a long term without seeing the dangers inherent in it (or the method itself--out of "loyalty" to Paul VI, you understand), I am grateful for the prayers and instructions of others who corrected my own quite erroneous ways.
This study is only that, a study. Nothing else It is subject to whatever criticism or comment that readers desire to offer. I will not, however, have time to respond to much in the way of correspondence. I will, though, write a follow-up article on whatever reaction is generated (do you think there will be any?) when a sufficient amount of time has passed (and when I have recovered from the writing of this piece!).
Although I stated in the text of the current article that there would be a follow-up article on the Modernist trends at work in the Catholic Church in the United States of America prior to the "Second" Vatican Council by tomorrow, Tuesday, the Feast of Saint Anne, I am exhausted. I am going to take a few days off, if you don't mind.
Let us pray an extra Rosary today, the Feast of Saint James the Greater, for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal, remembering also the needs and intentions of our fellow Catholics no matter they are to be found in the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide as we seek by our Rosaries and sacrifices and voluntary penances to build up the Mystical Body of Christ on earth, the Church Militant, pledging our hearts as always to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint James the Greater, pray for us.
Help us to stay awake in vigilant prayer before Our Lord's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament so that we can be transfigured in glory in Heaven for all eternity.
Saint Christopher, pray for us. May you, once so completely devoted to the devil when you were named Reprobos, help us to carry Christ the King within our minds, hearts and souls as you carried Him across the raging waters.

Thoughts
to Ponder...
"America, it is said, is suffering from
intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance of right
and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our
country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is
overrun with the broadminded....
"...In the face of this
broadmindedness, what the world needs is intolerance."
(Fulton Sheen's "A Plea for Intolerance," 1931)
Memo to President Obama from Pope Pius XI:
"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)
"The whole world is dividing itself into progressives and conservatives. The job of the progressives is to go on making mistakes. The job of the conservatives is to prevent those mistakes from being corrected."Gilbert Keith Chesterton, April 19, 1924
"Know this: it is by very little breaches of regularity that the devil succeeds in introducing the greatest abuses. May you never end up saying: 'This is nothing, this is an exaggeration.'" (Saint Teresa of Avila, Foundations, Chapter Twenty-nine)
"I would give up my life a thousand times, not only for each of the truths of Sacred Scripture, but even more for the least of the ceremonies of the Catholic Church." (Saint Teresa of Avila, Life, Thirty-three, 3.)
