Statism to the Left, Statism to the Right
Part One

With all of the efforts being made by our current caesar, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro to intimidate his political opponents, spend the country more and more into bankruptcy to fund programs that make citizens and alien residents, whether of the legal and illegal variety, wards of the civil state, demonize his opponents by the use of some of the worst kind of demagoguery we have seen this site of William Jefferson Blythe Clinton, force Americans to accept a socialized health-care system that funds the chemical and surgical assassination of the innocent preborn, surrender more and more of national sovereignty to institutions of global governance, stack the Federal judiciary with statists after his own Marxist heart, order the non-enforcement of just immigration laws to make America's borders more porous than ever before, reward criminals with lighter sentences while persecuting political opponents with the full weight of the United States Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue System, it is nevertheless important to remember that he succeeded a statist of the false opposite of the naturalist "right," George Walker Bush.
The forty-third President of the United States of America, only the second son of a former president to have served as the nation's chief executive, and his fellow Trotskyites helped to pave the way for Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's election by means of his profligate spending two needless wars and no less than two government "bailout" programs that did nothing to improve the national economy.
George Walker Bush's "Patriot Act" exploited the tragic events of Tuesday, September 11,
2001, to make every single one of us potential "terrorists" in the
all-seeing-eyes of Big Brother State by means of the so-called Patriot
Act (short for the act's official Orwellian title, Uniting and
Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to
Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001), which he signed into law
on October 26, 2001.
Paralyzed by political correctness and the fear of
offending those who are used, perhaps without their knowing it, by
agents provocateurs from a certain country adjacent to Egypt, Jordan,
Syria and Lebanon, to attack American interests form Mohammedan
countries thus requires us to be body-searched at airports and to
undergo grilling when opening bank accounts or engaging in various
business activities even though we have never committed a crime.
The
events of September 11, 2001, gave our minders in Big Brother State the
excuse that they desire to pass a monstrous act that created the truly
Orwellian United States Department of Homeland Security, which has been
headed by three successive pro-abortion secretaries (Thomas Ridge, a
Catholic, Michael Chertoff, a Talmudist, and Janet Napolitano, a
feminist--and this pro-abort, who resigned on July 12, 2013, effective upon the confirmation of her successor, who is likely to be pro-abortion). We are supposed to believe that a three hundred forty-two
page bill with a mountain of regulations and "directives" that gave
bureaucrats a license to monitor much of our daily activities just
"appeared" out of nowhere thirty-eight days after the events of
September 11, 2001?
This so-called "Patriot Act" had been planned for some
time by the neoconservative war hawks of Bush the Lesser's
administration, and it was cheered with great enthusiasm by the
well-paid "conservative" blatherers on radio and television.
Most "conservatives" nodded up and down like living
bobble head dolls when the "Patriot Act" was signed into law. It is a
little disingenuous for them to get so outraged about the fact that the current crop of statists in the false opposite of the "left" has taken all of this to such an extent that there is hardly an aspect of our lives, including our snail mail and e-mail, that is not closely scrutinized by our minders in the civil state of Modernity.
What's the big deal?
There's police state to the
naturalist "left" and there's police state to our naturalist "right."
And the really sad part of this is that most citizens don't mind this at
all.
Why should they?
Most citizens do not care that nearly four
thousand babies each day are killed by surgical means under the cover of
the civil law. Why should they care about the arrest of an American
citizen who produced a film that has been used for the pretext
of the "spontaneous protests" in the Mohammedan world right now.
They not.
Yes, we are eyewitnesses to a socialist revolution that is but the inevitable result of the false nature of this nation's founding principles, based as they were upon the belief that men and their nations do not need to submit themselves to the teaching authority and sanctifying powers of the Catholic Church, that men could build the "better" world on their own without discussing "religion," which was seen as a means of dividing men when the one and only true religion is the only thing on the face of this earth that can united men in the pursuit of the common temporal good in light of man's Last End, the possession of the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son and God then Holy Ghost for all eternity.
The march of the inevitable triumph statism advanced greatly during the presidency of Abraham Lincoln, who governed in a dictatorial manner while provoking and sustaining a needless war between the states that claim over 600,000 American lives and embittered souls for decades to come, resulting ultimately over the course of time with many of the descendants of the "emancipated" slaves being enslaved to become cradle-to-the-grave wards of the civil state.
President Thomas Woodrow Wilson, who a skilled suppressor of dissent during this country's unjust and needless involvement in an unjust, needless and immoral war, World War I, built on the nationalizing tendencies of his own predecessor, Theodore Roosevelt, himself a thirty-third degree Mason, giving us the nation's first Federal income tax on October 3, 1913, two months before he signed the bill creating Federal Reserve
System on December 23, 1913. Wilson also nationalized railroads, telegraph lines and the Smith and Wesson gun manufacturing company. Yes, he was also a virulent anti-Catholic who looked the other way as Catholics in Mexico were being brutalized during the second decade of the Twentieth Century.
The size and power and scope of the Federal government of the United
States of America has grown exponentially no matter which organized
crime family of naturalism, the Republican Party and the Democrat Party,
has controlled the White House and the two Houses of Congress. Great
"leaps" forward into the world of insidious Socialism in which we find
ourselves today were made during the administrations of the
aforementioned Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Clark Hoover, Franklin Delano
Roosevelt, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Richard Milhous Nixon, William
Jefferson Blythe Clinton, and, as mentioned just above. Never mind the fact that each of these efforts have been in full and complete
violation of the Natural Law principle of subsidiarity, which teaches us
that human problems are to be resolved in the institution closest to
those who are in need, starting with the family.
Unlike what happened in France, Russia, China, Spain and Cuba, however, there has been no need for a bloody revolution. The unwashed masses have been and continue to be diverted by their bread and circuses, riveted to the evil of television and motion pictures as they deform their immortal souls even further by means of listening to the horrors of "rock" "music." A revolution has unfolded before our very eyes and the unwashed masses are either oblivious to it or fully supportive of it, conditioned as they have been by ninety years of unchecked statist policies.
Karl Marx and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin could never have imagined such a bloodless socialist revolution, engineered by some of the giants of Calvinist capitalism. The creep of statism is now resulting in the creation of a permanent socialist state, from which no one will be able to dissent legitimately or protest effectively, something that Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro is attempting to assure will be less possible as his minions monitor more and more of our daily activities in the name of "keeping us safe."
Many of those in the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist "right" fully support the "Patriot Act" the National Security Agency's massive surveillance program on almost every aspect of our daily lives.
Men such as United States Senators John Sidney McCain III (R-Arizona), your so-called "lesser of two evils" who has never met a foreign crisis that has to be "resolved" by the use of American troops in situations such as Libya and Syria that have no bearing on our national security (can you imagine how many Americans would have been sent to their deaths in McCain's reckless desire to flex military muscle had he been elected on Tuesday, November 4, 2008), and his Bobbsey Twins "war hawk," Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina), United States Representative Peter King (R-New York) and, among many others, Governor of the State of New Jersey Christopher Christie have been outspoken recently in their defense of the "super snooping" that the Obama administration as the means to "keep us safe."
Sure, keep us safe unto the point of sacrificing what little legitimate liberties American citizens have left. After all, we want to be kept "safe" to make sure the statists are kept safe and secure in their schemes to enslave us all the more.
Thus it is that statists will always want to do "more" of what has failed to achieve their purposes in the past. In the case of national security, therefore, those who reject the true Faith will make demigods out of themselves ultimately, using whatever power they might achieve in the civil government to make life and death decisions over others as though they are divinely infallible creatures whose very word must be accepted without criticism, complaint or dissent.
The National Highway Safety Highway Administration has issued a rule (a binding regulation issued by an administrative agency that has the force of Federal law) requiring all light weight passenger vehicles to be equipped with an event data recorder, otherwise known as the "black box," that can track our movements more effectively:
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rule requires all
light passenger vehicles be equipped with an EDR by Sep.1, 2014.
Ninety-six percent of new cars already have them - measuring such inputs
as speed, lateral acceleration, pedal effort, seat belt use, wheel
spin, steering wheel turn and direction.
Black box data retrieved from U.S. car accidents in a single day
would provide more information than a year's worth of crash testing,
says Tom Kowalick, who heads the design team that is standardizing the
devices for automakers worldwide.
But he also said he fears that for all their potential good, the
EDRs present a massive privacy dilemma, and an opportunity for
fraudsters.
"They can take that odometer and roll that odometer back to zero,”
he said. “They can change the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which
is in the computer. And once they do that, then it's okay for them to
very simply steal the motor vehicle and move it away."
Kowalick points out that YouTube has hundreds of clips that
demonstrate how to hack into automobile EDRs. "Look at the number of
people who are making tools, electronic tools, to do these things.
You'll find hundreds of thousands of people who are already clicking
onto these sites. And they must be doing that for some purpose," he
said.
The potential for malfeasance is huge, but so is the access EDRs give
to law enforcement and insurance companies, who could download EDR data
to determine whether a motorist is at fault in an accident.
But that, too. presents ethical dilemmas, should an insurer examine a
customer’s pattern of speeding to withdraw coverage or increase
premiums, or worse, manipulate speed data to evade an accident pay-out.
Overlaid with GPS data, or with new D.U.I. interlock technology now
under consideration for all automobiles, some say the black box could
become a Pandora's box of Fourth Amendment violations against unlawful
search and seizure. (Proposed New Federal Rule Could Big Brother In Your Driver Seat.)
The reaction of a lot of people will be, "Well, this is for our safety. The government knows best."
True, those of us who have so-called "smart phones" (I have an Android, which I loathe, despise and hate) have hand-held tracking devices that already track our movements and our conversations and e-mails. Global positioning systems (GPS), which we do not have but which most smart phones make available as an "app" (application, that is), complement the data collected via the smart phones.
Those of us who have such things as EZ-Pass to pay tolls on tollways can be tracked by various satellites, something that a former friend of mine pointed out to me in 1997 when I got an EZ-Pass, saying, "Tom, they know where you are all the time with that." The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Bridges and Tunnels division (formerly known as the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority) and the New York State Thruway Authority each made it almost mandatory to use EZ-Pass by eliminating the use of the tokens to insert into coin drops at toll booths and subsequently reducing very drastically the number of lanes manned by toll booth operators who take what the ancients would have called cash at each place where tolls are required to be paid. This has been a gigantic exercise in social engineering.
Isn't it ironic?
The very people who say that "law can't change behavior" when arguing against even the slightest restrictions on the chemical and surgical assassination of the innocent preborn use laws and administrative rules that have the binding force of law to force us to change our behavior in ways that will conform to their own manufactured prescriptions concerning how to build the "more just" society, including letting school children in California to choose to use girls use boys' bathrooms and boys use girls' bathrooms, a "novelty" in the name of "gender equality" that has been signed into law by the Catholic pro-abortion, pro-perversity Governor of the People's Republic of California, Edmund G. Brown, Jr., serving yet again in that capacity having been known as "Governor Moonbeam" during his previous years as governor from 1975 to 1983:
California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a controversial bill into law Monday afternoon allowing the state’s transgender public school students to choose which bathrooms they use and whether they participate in boy or girl sports.
The law would cover the state’s 6.2 million elementary and high school kids in public schools.
Supporters say the law will help cut down on bullying against transgender students, The families of transgender students have been waging local battles with school districts around the country over what restrooms and locker rooms their children can use.
"Now, every transgender student in California will be able to get up in the morning knowing that when they go to school as their authentic self they will have the same fair chance at success as their classmates,” Masen Davis, Executive Director of Transgender Law Center said.
While California is the first state to pass a law of this magnitude, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington and Colorado have all adopted policies designed to protect transgendered pupils.
Not everyone is on board.
Opponents of the bill say allowing students of one gender to use facilities intended for the other could invade the other students' privacy.
Randy Thomasson, of savecalifornia.com, says the law would “damage” kids.
"This radical bill warps the gender expectations of children by forcing all California public schools to permit biological boys in girls restrooms, showers, clubs and on girls sports teams and biological girls in boys restrooms, showers, clubs and sports teams," Thomasson said. "This is insanity." (Calif. Gov. Brown signs transgender student bill.)
Of course this is insanity.
Insanity, however, is what must occur when nations reject the sweet yoke of the Social Reign of Christ the King and when states such as California, substantial parts of which had been converted by the missionary efforts of Father Junipero Serra, O.F.M., in the Eighteenth Century, fall prey to the influences of Protestantism and Judeo-Masonry.
Men who do not understand First and Last Things as they have been entrusted by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ exclusively to His true Church that he founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope, must resort to increasingly higher doses of the insanity state-control to "fix" problems that have their remote cause in Original Sin and their proximate causes in the Actual Sins of men.
Thus it is that the majoritarian construct of the Seventeenth Century "philosopher" John Locke that is premised upon the ability of men to resolve social problems by the devising of structural solutions according to the sole dictates of natural reason must crumble under the weight of an ever-increasing number of government-created structures, leading to the triumph, at least sooner or later, of statism, if not actual Marxism-Leninism:
The father of the ideology of liberalism, John Locke, a Presbyterian who wrote to justify the overthrow of King James II, a Catholic, by the Parliament in the so-called "Glorious Revolution" of 1688, believed, essentially, that social problems could be ameliorated if a majority of reasonable men gathered together to discuss their situation. The discussion among these "reasonable men" would lead to an agreement, sanctioned by the approval of the majority amongst themselves, on the creation of structures which designed to improve the existing situation. If those structures did not ameliorate the problems or resulted in a worsening of social conditions then some subsequent majority of "reasonable men" would be able to tear up the "contract" that had bound them before, devising yet further structures designed to do what the previous structures could not accomplish.
Unfortunately for Locke, you see, social problems cannot be ameliorated merely by the creation of structures devised by "reasonable men" and sanctioned by the majority. All problems in the world, both individual and social, have their remote causes in Original Sin and their proximate causes in the Actual Sins of men. There is no once-and-for-all method or structure by which, for example, "peace" will be provided in the world by the creation of international organizations or building up or the drafting of treaties. There is no once-and-for-all method or structure by which, for example, "crime" will be lessened in a nation by the creation of various programs designed to address the "environmental" conditions that are said to breed it.
The only way in which social conditions can be ameliorated is by the daily reformation of individual lives in cooperation with the graces won for men by the shedding of Our Lord's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and administered into their souls by the working of the Holy Ghost in the sacraments entrusted to the true Church founded by Our Lord upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. And to the extent that social structures can be effective in addressing specific problems at specific times in specific places those who create and administer them must recognize their absolute dependence upon God's graces and that there is no secular, non-denominational or inter-denominational way to provide for social order. Social order and peace among nations depend entirely upon the subordination of the life of every person and the activities of every nation to the Social Reign of Christ the King as it is exercised by the Catholic Church.
The modern state is founded on the specific and categorical rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King as it is exercised by the Catholic Church. There is thus the need for modern man for find sterile ideologies or philosophies to substitute for the true Faith so as to guide "him" in the course of daily life. The failure of the social structures fashioned after the Lockean model to effect an amelioration of the problems they were intended to address does nothing to deter "true believers" from continuing to persist in the blindness that led them to reject the true Faith and to trust in their own cooked-up schemes.
No, the "true believers" in liberalism or conservatism or capitalism or socialism or communism or fascism or Nazism or utilitarianism or pragmatism or positivism (or any and all other brands of secular "isms") must spend their entire lives searching for a "better way" to realize the goals of their particular ideology or philosophy or economic system. It cannot possibly be, they have convinced themselves, that their initial premises were wrong from the outset. No, the problem must be in the implementation of their ideas, not in the false nature of the ideas upon which they have based all of their truly delusional hopes.
The Lockean construct for the resolution of social problems is but one part of the Revolution, as it was termed by Popes Pius IX and Saint Pius X, against the Faith. The Lockean construct preceded the rise of contemporary Freemasonry in England by twenty-nine years, fitting in nicely with the Judeo-Masonic desire to obliterate the necessity of subordinating all things in personal and social life to the reality of the Incarnation by stressing the conviction that the "universal brotherhood of men" can put aside "denominational differences" to pursue the "common good."
Locke's belief that men can resolve their social problems by the creation of structures, in essence the self-redemptive heresy of semi-Pelagianism, also dovetailed into the Judeo-Masonic belief that men can pursue "civic virtue" on their own without belief in, access to or cooperation with sanctifying grace. These false beliefs lead men and their societies into complete and utter chaos, which is the goal of the chief revolutionary, the devil himself, who desires the minds of men to be locked up by the blindness engendered by their narcissism and pride.
The Lockean construct leads to many mutations, all of which have one common theme: the ability of man to better his lot in life on his own without subordinating himself to the Deposit of Faith that the God-Man has entrusted to His true Church.
In the United States, for example, the Lockean construct has produced a situation where men liberalism had to give way to socialism. The failure of incremental, structural "reforms" to improve social conditions led to an increase in the size and the power of government at all levels (state, local, national) and a reduction in the legitimate natural law rights of citizens to be free from the tyranny of governmental leaders possessed of the nation that secular salvation comes from the state.
Thus, the New Freedom of Woodrow Wilson was actually a descent into statism, expedited by the New Deal of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (and by many of the policies of his immediate predecessor, Herbert Clark Hoover; some New Dealers have admitted that the policies of their mentor's administration were in many instances merely a re-packaging of Hoover's own statist programs), and expanded by Lyndon Baines Johnson's "Great Society" and "War on Poverty" programs. The attempts to "engineer" the better society through government programs has reached such a stage that even thought itself is being punished at the state law (and laws are pending on the national level to make criticism of the behavior of certain people a "hate" crime). A land born in the delusional belief that man can ever be "free" without Our Lord and His Holy Church produces all to logically and inexorably a new caste of slaves, most of who are so diverted by bread and circuses that they protest nary a bit as their legitimate freedoms and property are taken away from them bit by bit under one pretext or another.
Elsewhere, however, the Lockean construct leads to a degree of violent frustration. That is, the failure of structural reforms to, say, "end" poverty or to "end" wars convinced a number of visionaries that violent, bloody revolutions were necessary to overthrow the remaining vestiges of Catholicism in order to replace it all at once with a man-made paradigm for peace and justice on earth. The French Revolutionaries, the Mexican Revolutionaries, the plotters of the Italian Risorgimento, the Bolshevik and Maoist Revolutionaries--and scores upon scores of others--believed that their revolutions would bring about a new age for mankind. The failure of even those "once-and-for-all" revolutions, however, to produce their expected results led to attempts to revitalize the revolutionary zeal, a "reform of the reform," if you will. And thus it will ever be with minds are all locked up in the demonically inspired delusions of Modernity. (Minds Locked Up, written in October of 2005.)
Dr. Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn explained this logical devolution in favor of socialism in his commencement address, "A World Split Apart," at Harvard University on June 8, 1978:
As humanism in its development became more and more materialistic, it made itself increasingly accessible to speculation and manipulation at first by socialism and then by communism. So that Karl Marx was able to say in 1844 that "communism is naturalized humanism."
This statement turned out not to be entirely senseless. One does see the same stones in the foundations of a despiritualized humanism and of any type of socialism: endless materialism; freedom from religion and religious responsibility, which under communist regimes reach the stage of anti-religious dictatorship; concentration on social structures with a seemingly scientific approach. (This is typical of the Enlightenment in the Eighteenth Century and of Marxism). Not by coincidence all of communism's meaningless pledges and oaths are about Man, with a capital M, and his earthly happiness. At first glance it seems an ugly parallel: common traits in the thinking and way of life of today's West and today's East? But such is the logic of materialistic development.
The interrelationship is such, too, that the current of materialism which is most to the left always ends up by being stronger, more attractive and victorious, because it is more consistent. Humanism without its Christian heritage cannot resist such competition. We watch this process in the past centuries and especially in the past decades, on a world scale as the situation becomes increasingly dramatic. Liberalism was inevitably displaced by radicalism, radicalism had to surrender to socialism and socialism could never resist communism. The communist regime in the East could stand and grow due to the enthusiastic support from an enormous number of Western intellectuals who felt a kinship and refused to see communism's crimes. When they no longer could do so, they tried to justify them. In our Eastern countries, communism has suffered a complete ideological defeat; it is zero and less than zero. But Western intellectuals still look at it with interest and with empathy, and this is precisely what makes it so immensely difficult for the West to withstand the East.
(Solzhenitsyn's Harvard Address.)
Vladimir I. Lenin himself explained how his revolution was going to work to transfer power from the private sector to the state, a transformation that is taking place before our very eyes in the United States of America:
Here "quantity turns into quality": such a degree of democracy implies overstepping the boundaries of bourgeois society and beginning its socialist reorganization. If really all take part in the administration of the state, capitalism cannot retain its hold. The development of capitalism, in turn, creates the preconditions that enable really “all” to take part in the administration of the state. Some of these preconditions are: universal literacy, which has already been achieved in a number of the most advanced capitalist countries, then the "training and disciplining" of millions of workers by the huge, complex, socialized apparatus of the postal service, railways, big factories, large-scale commerce, banking, etc., etc.
Given these economic preconditions, it is quite possible, after the overthrow of the capitalists and the bureaucrats, to proceed immediately, overnight, to replace them in the control over production and distribution, in the work of keeping account of labor and products, by the armed workers, by the whole of the armed population. (The question of control and accounting should not be confused with the question of the scientifically trained staff of engineers, agronomists, and so on. These gentlemen are working today in obedience to the wishes of the capitalists and will work even better tomorrow in obedience to the wishes of the armed workers.)
Accounting and control--that is mainly what is needed for the "smooth working", for the proper functioning, of the first phase of communist society. All citizens are transformed into hired employees of the state, which consists of the armed workers. All citizens becomes employees and workers of a single countrywide state “syndicate”. All that is required is that they should work equally, do their proper share of work, and get equal pay; the accounting and control necessary for this have been simplified by capitalism to the utmost and reduced to the extraordinarily simple operations--which any literate person can perform--of supervising and recording, knowledge of the four rules of arithmetic, and issuing appropriate receipts.
When the majority of the people begin independently and everywhere to keep such accounts and exercise such control over the capitalists (now converted into employees) and over the intellectual gentry who preserve their capitalist habits, this control will really become universal, general, and popular; and there will be no getting away from it, there will be "nowhere to go".
The whole of society will have become a single office and a single factory, with equality of labor and pay.
But this “factory” discipline, which the proletariat, after defeating the capitalists, after overthrowing the exploiters, will extend to the whole of society, is by no means our ideal, or our ultimate goal. It is only a necessary step for thoroughly cleansing society of all the infamies and abominations of capitalist exploitation, and for further progress.
From the moment all members of society, or at least the vast majority, have learned to administer the state themselves, have taken this work into their own hands, have organized control over the insignificant capitalist minority, over the gentry who wish to preserve their capitalist habits and over the workers who have been thoroughly corrupted by capitalism--from this moment the need for government of any kind begins to disappear altogether. The more complete the democracy, the nearer the moment when it becomes unnecessary. The more democratic the “state” which consists of the armed workers, and which is "no longer a state in the proper sense of the word", the more rapidly every form of state begins to wither away.
For when all have learned to administer and actually to independently administer social production, independently keep accounts and exercise control over the parasites, the sons of the wealthy, the swindlers and other "guardians of capitalist traditions", the escape from this popular accounting and control will inevitably become so incredibly difficult, such a rare exception, and will probably be accompanied by such swift and severe punishment (for the armed workers are practical men and not sentimental intellectuals, and they scarcely allow anyone to trifle with them), that the necessity of observing the simple, fundamental rules of the community will very soon become a habit.
Then the door will be thrown wide open for the transition from the first phase of communist society to its higher phase, and with it to the complete withering away of the state. (The State and Revolution — Chapter 5.)
One does not have to believe in Lenin's Marxist presuppositions or his absurd conclusions to understand that at least some of what he wrote describes the situation in almost all of Europe today and is happening before our very eyes in the United States of America. The average person is so concerned about protecting his precious "investments" and/or maintaining his material standard of living that he is willing to accept anything, including the voluntary renunciation of his legitimate liberties and an increasingly higher amount of state-control of the economy and of almost every movement, thought and belief, that is proposed to protect him from embracing a life of Holy Poverty as lived by the Holy Family of Nazareth and such great saints as the Stigmatist of Assisi, Saint Francis himself.
Although what follows will anger considerably some of those whoa re attached to the naturalist ideology of "conservatism," the plain fact of the matter is that it was none other than Vladimir I. Lenin who wanted to see women, including those with young children at home, take their place as equals with men in the realm of civil governance. To be sure, this was certainly a goal of the French Revolution. It was, however, institutionalized by the Bolshevik Revolution and popularized by its naturalistic, anti-Incarnational agents throughout the Western world, including the United States of America. Alaska Governor Sarah Heath Palin, whether or not she realizes, is fulfilling the Leninist model for women in the world, not that of the Mother of God:
The second anniversary of the Soviet power is a fitting occasion for us to review what has, in general, been accomplished during this period, and to probe into the significance and aims of the revolution which we accomplished.
The bourgeoisie and its supporters accuse us of violating democracy. We maintain that the Soviet revolution has given an unprecedented stimulus to the development of democracy both in depth and breadth, of democracy, moreover, distinctly for the toiling masses, who had been oppressed under capitalism; consequently, of democracy for the vast majority of the people, of socialist democracy (for the toilers) as distinguished from bourgeois democracy (for the exploiters, the capitalists, the rich).
Who is right?
To probe deeply into this question and to understand it well will mean studying the experience of these two years and being better prepared to further follow up this experience.
The position of women furnishes a particularly graphic elucidation of the difference between bourgeois and socialist democracy, it furnishes a particularly graphic answer to the question posed.
In no bourgeois republic (i.e., where there is private ownership of the land, factories, works, shares, etc.), be it even the most democratic republic, nowhere in the world, not even in the most advanced country, have women gained a position of complete equality. And this, notwithstanding the fact that more than one and a quarter centuries have elapsed since the Great French (bourgeois-democratic) Revolution.
In words, bourgeois democracy promises equality and liberty. In fact, not a single bourgeois republic, not even the most advanced one, has given the feminine half of the human race either full legal equality with men or freedom from the guardianship and oppression of men.
Bourgeois democracy is democracy of pompous phrases, solemn words, exuberant promises and the high-sounding slogans of freedom and equality. But, in fact, it screens the non-freedom and inferiority of women, the non-freedom and inferiority of the toilers and exploited.
Soviet, or socialist, democracy sweeps aside the pompous, bullying, words, declares ruthless war on the hypocrisy of the "democrats", the landlords, capitalists or well-fed peasants who are making money by selling their surplus bread to hungry workers at profiteering prices.
Down with this contemptible fraud! There cannot be, nor is there nor will there ever be "equality" between the oppressed and the oppressors, between the exploited and the exploiters. There cannot be, nor is there nor will there ever be real "freedom" as long as there is no freedom for women from the privileges which the law grants to men, as long as there is no freedom for the workers from the yoke of capital, and no freedom for the toiling peasants from the yoke of the capitalists, landlords and merchants.
Let the liars and hypocrites, the dull-witted and blind, the bourgeois and their supporters hoodwink the people with talk about freedom in general, about equality in general, about democracy in general.
We say to the workers and peasants: Tear the masks from the faces of these liars, open the eyes of these blind ones. Ask them:
“Equality between what sex and what other sex?
“Between what nation and what other nation?
“Between what class and what other class?
“Freedom from what yoke, or from the yoke of what class? Freedom for what class?”
Whoever speaks of politics, of democracy, of liberty, of equality, of socialism, and does not at the same time ask these questions, does not put them in the foreground, does not fight against concealing, hushing up and glossing over these questions, is one of the worst enemies of the toilers, is a wolf in sheep's clothing, is a bitter opponent of the workers and peasants, is a servant of the landlords, tsars, capitalists.
In the course of two years Soviet power in one of the most backward countries of Europe did more to emancipate women and to make their status equal to that of the "strong" sex than all the advanced, enlightened, "democratic" republics of the world did in the course of 130 years.
Enlightenment, culture, civilisation, liberty--in all capitalist, bourgeois republics of the world all these fine words are combined with extremely infamous, disgustingly filthy and brutally coarse laws in which woman is treated as an inferior being, laws dealing with marriage rights and divorce, with the inferior status of a child born out of wedlock as compared with that of a "legitimate" child, laws granting privileges to men, laws that are humiliating and insulting to women.
The yoke of capital, the tyranny of "sacred private property", the despotism of philistine stupidity, the greed of petty proprietors --these are the things that prevented the most democratic bourgeois republics from infringing upon those filthy and infamous laws.
The Soviet Republic, the republic of workers and peasants, promptly wiped out these laws and left not a stone in the structure of bourgeois fraud and bourgeois hypocrisy.
Down with this fraud! Down with the liars who are talking of freedom and equality for all, while there is an oppressed sex, while there are oppressor classes, while there is private ownership of capital, of shares, while there are the well-fed with their surplus of bread who keep the hungry in bondage. Not freedom for all, not equality for all, but a fight against the oppressors and exploiters, the abolition of every possibility of oppression and exploitation-that is our slogan!
Freedom and equality for the oppressed sex!
Freedom and equality for the workers, for the toiling peasants!
A fight against the oppressors, a fight against the capitalists, a fight against the profiteering kulaks!
That is our fighting slogan, that is our proletarian truth, the truth of the struggle against capital, the truth which we flung in the face of the world of capital with its honeyed, hypocritical, pompous phrases about freedom and equality in general, about freedom and equality for all.
And for the very reason that we have torn down the mask of this hypocrisy, that we are introducing with revolutionary energy freedom and equality for the oppressed and for the toilers, against the oppressors, against the capitalists, against the kulaks--for this very reason the Soviet government has become so dear to the hearts of workers of the whole world.
It is for this very reason that, on the second anniversary of the Soviet power, the: sympathies of the masses of the workers, the sympathies of the oppressed and exploited in every country of the world, are with us.
It is for this very reason that, on this second anniversary of the Soviet power, despite hunger and cold, despite all our tribulations, which have been caused by the imperialists' invasion of the Russian Soviet Republic, we are full of firm faith in the justice of our cause, of firm Faith in the inevitable victory of Soviet power all over the world. (Soviet Power and the Status of Women)
Comrades, the elections to the Moscow Soviet show that the Party of the Communists is gaining strength among the working class.
It is essential that women workers take a greater part in the elections. The Soviet government was the first and only government in the world to abolish completely all the old, bourgeois, infamous laws which placed women in an inferior position compared with men and which granted privileges to men, as, for instance, in the sphere of marriage laws or in the sphere of the legal attitude to children. The Soviet government was the first and only government in the world which, as a government of the toilers, abolished all the privileges connected with property, which men retained in the family laws of all bourgeois republics, even the most democratic.
Where there are landlords, capitalists and merchants, there can be no equality between women and men even in law.
Where there are no landlords, capitalists and merchants, where the government of the toilers is building a new life without these exploiters, there equality between women and men exists in law.
But that is not enough.
It is a far cry from equality in law to equality in life.
We want women workers to achieve equality with men workers not only in law, but in life as well. For this, it is essential that women workers take an ever increasing part in the administration of public enterprises and in the administration of the state.
By engaging in the work of administration women will learn quickly and they will catch up with the men.
Therefore, elect more women workers, both Communist and non-Party, to the Soviet. If she is only an honest woman worker who is capable of managing work sensibly and conscientiously, it makes no difference if she is not a member of the Party--elect her to the Moscow Soviet.
Let there be more women workers in the Moscow Soviet! Let the Moscow proletariat show that it is prepared to do and is doing everything for the fight to victory, for the fight against the old inequality, against the old, bourgeois, humiliation of women!
The proletariat cannot achieve complete freedom, unless it achieves complete freedom for women.
N. Lenin
February 21, 1920 To the Working Women
We have let the Leninist program of feminism take such deep root in our collective national psyche that anyone who dares point out the revolutionary nature of upsetting the good order of the family so that women with young children at home can run for elected office is considered to be a "reactionary." It is "conservatives," therefore, who have proved themselves to be most useful idiots in accepting the various errors of Russia, including those of Vladmir I. Lenin, that have been advanced very steadily when Republicans have held the White House, which is why so many of them are actually the Obama administration's best friends. This proves yet again that we are undergoing quite a chastisement for the failure of a true pope to consecrate Russia to Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart with all of the world's true bishops as Our Lady herself requested of Sister Lucia dos Santos in 1925 as a further elaboration of what she had requested on July 13, 1917.
The lords of Modernity have company in promoting feminism as part of their statist agenda as this is also part and parcel of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis's own "program" for the "reform" of what he thinks is the Catholic Church. Although the subject for a different article at a different time, consider the following elegy of praise to feminism offered by the very man whose conciliar Congregation for Religious clamped down on the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate recently:
Why is it difficult to experience gender equality in the church? First, I want to return to our fundamental doctrine: God created man and woman. God created them in his own image and likeness. There are three things here:
Man and woman are not God. They are creatures.
Man without woman is not fully human, and woman without man is not fully human, either. Each without the other is a piece of humanity, incomplete.
Third and that which saves us all: We are the very image and likeness of God.
Throughout history, we have had many difficulties in this area. History became a primarily masculine enterprise. For many reasons -- political, anthropological -- this mode also dominated religion.
The problem of walking together as man and woman is something that I think needs to be delved into and explored more and in a deeper fashion, even among male and female religious.
Up to now, we have seen two ways of operating, which are both imperfect.
First, consecrated women have separated themselves from consecrated men in the name of self-protection. Consecrated men have separated themselves from consecrated women because they were seen as sources of temptation. The result: We men no longer understand you women, and you women do not understand us as well. This is the result.
Second: We put religious men and women together and children were the result. And this does not work well, because whoever has a child has to take care of it and must leave religious life to do so, be it priest, monk, sister. This is a problem.
What are we to do? Return to the biblical insights. (Vatican religious prefect: Gender inequality exists in church.)
Talk about insanity, which I will on some occasion, not now.
For the moment, though, how does anyone expect to combat the insanity of the lords of Modernity when the men whom most believe are officials of the Catholic Church are themselves insane?
The rise of the monster civil state of Modernity uses whatever crisis of the moment to provide statists of the false opposite of the naturalist "left" and the false opposite of the naturalist "right" further excuses to increase the size and the scope of the power of all levels of government (Federal, state, local). Only a handful of people recognize every personal and social problem we face is the result of Original Sin and our own Actual Sins, and that all of the problems we are experiencing are just a down payment on what the "developed" world owes to God for its promotion of the very thing--sin--that caused Him to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death and caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow.
This is a time of suffering, my friends, suffering, and we must suffer as bravely as our martyrs have done in the past.
Consider the examples provided us by some of the Japanese martyrs in the year 1598:
In the year 1598, at the age of sixty-four, the emperor Taicosama died, well deserving the fires of hell, since he
had shed so much blood of the faithful servants of Jesus
Christ. He had given orders that after his death he
should be ranked among the gods. As his successor he
left a son scarcely six years old, under the tutelage of six regents of the empire. At the head of this regency
was Daifusama, who profited by his position gradually
to usurp the imperial power, and, as we shall see, surpassed his predecessor in cruelty
Daifusama at first believed it to be the best policy to
treat the Christians like the rest of his subjects until he
could see his authority well established. During the
first years of his reign there were only local persecutions that were carried on by secondary tyrants. In
1603, the king of Fingo, named Canzugedono, wishing to
compel the nobility of Jateudixiro to deny the Christian
faith, the magistrates of this city forcibly dragged into
the house of a bonze, a gentleman named John Minami,
in order to place upon his head the book of his sect; for
this was a sign of apostasy. Magdalen, the wife of the persecuted gentleman, a fervent Christian, followed her husband, crying out: " Take care, my dear John, what
you do; if you become faithless to your religion, I will
neither speak to you nor see you any more, and I will
renounce you as my husband." When the bonze, who
was seated on a kind of throne, raised the volume to
place it on John s head, the servant of God, not being
able to do anything else, spit upon the infamous book.
One of his friends by the name of Simon Taquenda
offered a similar resistance, and refused to go to the
house of the bonze. The king being informed of what
had happened, ordered the governor to have them
beheaded, and to have all the members of their families
crucified.
As soon as Minami heard of the fate that was awaiting
him, he presented himself to the governor. The latter
made every effort to gain him over, but could not shake
his constancy; he then showed him the order of the
the king, and saintly man declared that he desired nothing so much as to sacrifice his life for the God whom he
adored. Whereupon he was led into a large hall, where
he had to leave his sword; passing then still farther, he
was taken in charge by three soldiers, and there appeared
upon the scene two executioners armed with cutlasses.
John knelt down, presented his neck, and pronounced
the holy names of Jesus and Mary; he received four
blows that cut off his head, December 8, in the thirty-first year of his age.
On the same day the governor went to the house of
Simon Taquenda, who was his intimate friend, to persuade him to show some sign of submission to the will
of the king. As soon as the governor saw him he burst
into tears ; Simon, greatly moved, could not restrain his
own, and they thus remained for some time without
speaking. The governor tried in vain to shake his friend,
when Jane, the mother of Simon, entering, he said to her: " Your son refuses to follow my counsel, preserve
him and his whole family from death, and do not force
me to imbrue my hands in his blood." But his noble
mother replied to him with firmness: "If there were
questions only of terrestrial goods, your counsel would
be good; but, when eternal goods are in question, we
must not prefer a transitory life to a felicity that has no
end. I envy the happiness of my son, and if I could I
would follow him with joy."
This language stung the governor to the quick, and
took away from him all hope of overcoming the constancy of his friend. He thereupon withdrew and communicated to an officer, a relative of Simon, that this
gentleman had been condemned to death, and that he
charged him on the part of the king with the duty to go
and behead him in his house. This officer went to the
house of his relative, rapped at the door, for it was
already night, found the servant of God in prayer, and
made known to him the contents of the written order of
which he was the bearer. " You could not have brought
me," said Simon to him, "more pleasant news; only
allow me a few moments to prepare myself for death." This delay was granted him.
The pious gentleman went at once to prostrate himself before an image of our Lord crowned with thorns.
After his prayer he visited his mother and his wife, and apprised them of his approaching death. These women,
without being disturbed, ordered the domestics to prepare some water, according to the custom the Japanese
had of washing themselves when they were invited to a
banquet. Simon, having finished his ablutions, put
on his richest garments and took leave of his mother
and of his wife, not forgetting his servants. When the
latter began to cry and utter lamentations, he said to
them: "What! do you not rejoice at my happiness?
where is your faith ? where is the Christian virtue of which you have shown proofs up to the present time?"
Then his wife, whose name was Agnes, throwing herself at his feet, begged him to cut off her hair. "In
this way," she said, "if I survive you, people may not
think that I ever wish to have another husband." Simon
at first refused the request, but finally yielded at the
entreaties of his mother.
He afterwards arranged that three members of the
confraternity of Mary should meet him, and to them
he spoke thus: " My dear confreres, what a happiness is
mine to be able to die as a martyr of Jesus Christ !
What have I done to merit this grace ? " " Yes," replied
one of them, named Joachim, " you are happy. Pray to
God, when you are in heaven, to make us share in your
glory." All knelt down; Simon recited the Confiteor,
and the Our Father and Hail Mary three times; then he
remained silent for some time, conversing interiorly with
his God. His prayer finished, he arose, had the crucifix
brought in and the candle lit, took his mother by one
hand and his wife by the other, and spoke to them the
following words: "I bid you a final farewell; I shall no
longer see you in this world, but I count upon seeing you
soon in heaven. I go before you to pave the way for
you; I shall pray God to permit you to participate in
this happiness, and to call you soon to paradise." After
this they proceeded to the hall where the sacrifice was
to be consummated. One of the associates carried the
crucifix, the two others accompanied him with burning
candles, and the martyr followed them, holding by the
hand his mother and his wife. Then followed the
domestics, plunged in the deepest sorrow.
Having reached the hall, the martyr fell upon his
knees before the image of the Saviour; his mother and his wife withdrew a little aside; then all made the
sign of the, Cross and recited the Confiteor, and three
times the Our Father and Hail Mary. At this moment
a gentleman, a friend of Simon, entered to bid him farewell; his name was Figida, and he had unfortunately
denied his faith. Filled with remorse on witnessing
this spectacle, although he did not dare to confess his
repentance at that time, he asked his friend as a favor
for a bead of a blessed rosary. Simon gave it to him
on condition that he would return to Jesus Christ; this
the gentleman promised to do. Finally, the martyr
having recommended himself to God for the last time,
pulled down the collar of his garment, saluted the
image of the Saviour by bowing down with his forehead
to the ground, and, pronouncing the names of Jesus and
Mary, offered his head to the executioner, who cut it off
with one blow. One of the associates took it up at once,
and placed it upon his own as a mark of veneration. All
those that were present uttered a cry at the moment the
fatal blow was struck; but the mother and the wife of
the martyr appeared to be unmoved, and were silent.
Some time afterwards, the mother took the head of
her son, kissed it several times, and said: "O beautiful head, now crowned with glory ! O happy Simon,
you have given your life to Him who gave his own for
you ! My God, who didst sacrifice Thy Son for the love
of me, receive my son, who sacrificed himself for Thee." Agnes also approached, kissed the head of her dear
husband while moistening it with her tears, and said: " As for myself, I am satisfied; I have a martyr husband
who is now in heaven. O Simon ! call me as soon as
possible to you, to see and praise with you the Lord
our God."
Simon Taquenda died, like John Minami, at the age of
thirty-five, December 9, two hours before daybreak. The
soldiers who guarded his body testified to having seen, during that same night, a great light descending from
heaven and resting above the house of the martyr.
When the two women, Jane and Agnes, had withdrawn,
Figida, the converted gentleman, came to visit them;
and finding them in tears, said to them: " How is it that
you, who showed so much constancy while seeing your
dear Simon die, now when he is no more you give your
selves up to lamentations?" They answered that what
made them weep was because they were still in this life,
and because they feared that they would not be thought
worthy of martyrdom. Figida, in order to console them,
informed them that Magdalen, the widow of Minami, had
already been condemned to death, and added that they
should not expect to receive better treatment. On hearing this news both fell on their knees to thank God,
and their sorrow disappeared. They now had the
courage to ask the governor to let them die with the
virtuous Magdalen, and this request was granted them.
In fact, towards evening Magdalen was led into the
house with a child of about seven years of age, named
Louis, who was a nephew of Minami, and whom she
had adopted as her son. When they found themselves
together, they tenderly embraced each other, happy to
die like Jesus Christ on the Cross, according to the order
given by the emperor. Then Magdalen, turning towards
little Louis, who had been condemned to die with her,
told him to prepare himself to depart for heaven, and
recommended to him above all not to cease, when he
would be on the cross, to repeat till his death the words: "Jesus and Mary." The child answered: "My dear
mother, I will not forget to do so as long as I am alive."
At night they were informed that they would have to
start for the place of execution. They appeared attired
in their finest garments, recommended themselves to
God, and set out on the journey. Three palanquins,
each carried by two men, were awaiting them at the door. Little Louis was placed with his mother. When
they approached the place where the crosses had been
prepared, Agnes said: "Jesus, my Saviour, went on foot
to Mount Calvary, and should I be carried thither in a
litter!" She wished to descend from the palanquin, but
she was prevented from doing so, as she was told that
the officers would not permit such a thing. Having
finally reached their crosses they knelt down to venerate
them.
The first that was crucified was the heroic Jane, the
mother of Simon. She spoke thus from the height of
the cross to the crowd that had surrounded her: "About
to appear before God to render to him an account of all
my actions, I confess that the Christian religion is the
only one in which you can save your soul; open your
eyes, and renounce the false divinities. And you, O
Christians, do not allow yourselves to be unsettled by
the spectacle of our death; there is nothing sweeter than
to die for him who died for us." The executioner interrupted her at these words by striking her with the
lance. The first blow to her was not mortal, but the second
deprived her of life, and thus enabled her to receive the
heavenly crown.
It was then Magdalen's turn. Little Louis, seeing his
mother bound, offered himself to be also bound to the
cross. The executioners raised him on the small cross
prepared for him opposite to his mother, who then said
to him: "My son, we are going to heaven; take courage,
and always say: Jesus! Mary!" While the child was
repeating these sacred names, the executioner struck at
him with his lance, but missed him; and the little lamb
received tranquilly the second blow, which caused his
death. Immediately afterwards, the same executioner
withdrawing the iron, quite red with the blood of the
child, plunged it into the heart of the mother, and thus
united the two victims.
There remained yet the innocent Agnes, who having
descended from the palanquin, remained kneeling before
her cross, and recommended herself to God. The executioners, moved to tears, had not the heart to approach
and to tie her to the cross, although she begged them
to discharge their duty, and while waiting for them
placed herself on that cruel instrument. Then some
idolaters, urged on by the inducement of receiving a reward, took courage to take the place of the executioners,
but when it became necessary to pierce the victims, not
having had any experience, they succeeded in taking
away her life only by repeated blows.
Many persons worthy of belief attested having seen a
resplendent light over the bodies of the four martyrs at
the moment in which they gave up their souls to God.
Their history was written by Louis Cerqueyra, Bishop of
Japan.
After their death the governor was more enraged than
before against the Christians; but God permitted that
he should fall into disgrace with the king, who deprived
him of his office, and ordered him to appear to render
an account of his actions. It is thus that the Lord
punishes those who, to please princes, sully their souls; they lose at the same time their souls and the favor of
their master. (Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, Victories of the Martyrs, Redemptorist Fathers, 1954 edition, pp. 329-3226. Available also online at: Full text of "The complete ascetical works of St. Alphonsus de Liguori.)
Why do we fear anything that happens to us?
No, we must not fear the caesars of the moment. And we must not fear the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who do not believe that it is opportune to spit and revile the images of false religions, each of which they praise as worthy in and of themselves because to do otherwise would be to offend he sensibilities of their adherents, and who have embraced the statism of their counterparts in the world of Modernity with exceptional enthusiasm and zeal.
Indeed, we have nothing to fear at all save dying in a state of Mortal Sin, a state of final impenitence.
Although it may yet be a few years in offing, the time is coming soon when those who oppose the schemes our statists, whether they be of false opposites of the naturalist "right" or of the naturalist "left," will be faced with an abjuration of their "sins" against the "government." Those who are Catholics and who compound their "sins" against the government by opposing moral evils will be faced with an abjuration of the Holy Faith.
Remember, faithful Catholics are as much under siege in private sector employment as they are in public sector employment to keep quiet about the Holy Faith, which means that they cannot speak about It, cannot wear a Crucifix or other Miraculous Medals if these are visible externally and cannot speak in opposite to baby-killing or perversity. This is a white martyrdom, to be sure.
We must be willing to suffer all kinds of martyrdom with joy as even the death of one's career or reputation before others suffers because of one's adherence to the the true Faith without making any compromises with the anti-Incarnational lies of Modernity or the heresies, apostasies, blasphemies and sacrileges of the conciliar revolutionaries, who are adherents of Modernism principally by means of the so-called "New Theology" that was condemned by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950.
We must pray, however, that Catholics who remain faithful by means of the graces sent to them by Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces, will not sell out their fellow Catholics in the catacombs in order to demonstrate how superior they are to others and/or to is ave their own lives as they seek to do away with those who have been "their enemies" or about whom they have harbored "suspicions" for one reason or another.
This has happened many times in the past, including in England during the Protestant Revolution there and in Japan during the period of the Japanese Martyrs between 1586 and 1634 and in the Soviet Union after the Bolshevik Revolution (and in Warsaw Pact nations during the Cold War) and in Red China and Cuba, among many other places. It even happened now and again in Mexico during the Cristeros War from 1926 to 1929. Despite the many differences that exist both within and among the multiplicity of warring camps across the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide at this time, we must pray never to do the bidding of the statists with respect to our fellow Catholics even if only by inadvertence.
It is enough us for, however, to think first, last and always about eternity, accepting whatever kind of suffering God has ordained for us with love, joy, serenity and total gratitude to Him for His generous in helping us erring sinners to make reparation for our sins and thus better save our souls despite our own best efforts, mine included, to go to Hell for all eternity. May please Christ the King to permit us to suffer the loss of our very lives for Him and for His Holy Church. We must have no fear. We must live in peace in these times that God has chosen for us to live and in which we must serve Him as His consecrated slaves through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother..
Devotion to Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary will help us to be better prepared for eternity and to bear with the crosses of the present time.
Yes, my friends, it is the Rosary that is, after Holy Mass and Eucharistic piety, the chief means by which the evils of the present day will be retarded and the seeds planted for the Triumph of Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
Instead of babbling on about one naturalistic "solution" after another in alleged "debates" over the issues of the day, we ought to be to be promoting Our Lady's Holy Rosary, which speaks more powerfully of our total reliance upon Christ the King and upon her, Our Immaculate Queen, than all of the meaningless verbiage that passes out like so much gas from the mouth and is typed into computers before it is then lost in the fogs of the minds of men.
Pope Leo XIII, writing in Laetitiae Sanctae, September 8, 1893, noted:
The third evil for which a remedy is needed is one which is chiefly characteristic of the times in which we live. Men in former ages, although they loved the world, and loved it far too well, did not usually aggravate their sinful attachment to the things of earth by a contempt of the things of heaven. Even the right-thinking portion of the pagan world recognized that this life was not a home but a dwelling-place, not our destination, but a stage in the journey. But men of our day, albeit they have had the advantages of Christian instruction, pursue the false goods of this world in such wise that the thought of their true Fatherland of enduring happiness is not only set aside, but, to their shame be it said, banished and entirely erased from their memory, notwithstanding the warning of St. Paul, "We have not here a lasting city, but we seek one which is to come" (Heb. xiii., 4).
When We seek out the causes of this forgetfulness, We are met in the first place by the fact that many allow themselves to believe that the thought of a future life goes in some way to sap the love of our country, and thus militates against the prosperity of the commonwealth. No illusion could be more foolish or hateful. Our future hope is not of a kind which so monopolizes the minds of men as to withdraw their attention from the interests of this life. Christ commands us, it is true, to seek the Kingdom of God, and in the first place, but not in such a manner as to neglect all things else. For, the use of the goods of the present life, and the righteous enjoyment which they furnish, may serve both to strengthen virtue and to reward it. The splendor and beauty of our earthly habitation, by which human society is ennobled, may mirror the splendor and beauty of our dwelling which is above. Therein we see nothing that is not worthy of the reason of man and of the wisdom of God. For the same God who is the Author of Nature is the Author of Grace, and He willed not that one should collide or conflict with the other, but that they should act in friendly alliance, so that under the leadership of both we may the more easily arrive at that immortal happiness for which we mortal men were created.
But men of carnal mind, who love nothing but themselves, allow their thoughts to grovel upon things of earth until they are unable to lift them to that which is higher. For, far from using the goods of time as a help towards securing those which are eternal, they lose sight altogether of the world which is to come, and sink to the lowest depths of degradation. We may doubt if God could inflict upon man a more terrible punishment than to allow him to waste his whole life in the pursuit of earthly pleasures, and in forgetfulness of the happiness which alone lasts for ever.
It is from this danger that they will be happily rescued, who, in the pious practice of the Rosary, are wont, by frequent and fervent prayer, to keep before their minds the glorious mysteries. These mysteries are the means by which in the soul of a Christian a most clear light is shed upon the good things, hidden to sense, but visible to faith, "which God has prepared for those who love Him." From them we learn that death is not an annihilation which ends all things, but merely a migration and passage from life to life. By them we are taught that the path to Heaven lies open to all men, and as we behold Christ ascending thither, we recall the sweet words of His promise, "I go to prepare a place for you." By them we are reminded that a time will come when "God will wipe away every tear from our eyes," and that "neither mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow, shall be any more," and that "We shall be always with the Lord," and "like to the Lord, for we shall see Him as He is," and "drink of the torrent of His delight," as "fellow-citizens of the saints," in the blessed companionship of our glorious Queen and Mother. Dwelling upon such a prospect, our hearts are kindled with desire, and we exclaim, in the words of a great saint, "How vile grows the earth when I look up to heaven!" Then, too, shall we feel the solace of the assurance "that which is at present momentary and light of our tribulation worketh for us above measure exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Cor. iv., 17).
Here alone we discover the true relation between time and eternity, between our life on earth and our life in heaven; and it is thus alone that are formed strong and noble characters. When such characters can be counted in large numbers, the dignity and well-being of society are assured. All that is beautiful, good, and true will flourish in the measure of its conformity to Him who is of all beauty, goodness, and truth the first Principle and the Eternal Source. (Pope Leo XIII, Laetitiae Sanctae, September 8, 1893.)
I will never tire of reminding the readers of this site that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
I will never tire of opposing the lies of naturalism and of documenting the various ways in which the naturalists of the false opposites of the "right" and of the "left" agree on the same basic anti-Incarnational and semi-Pelagian principles upon which the Modern state is based and with which conciliar revolutionaries have made their "official reconciliation" and even help to propagate by means of the "new evangelization."
And I will never tire of reminding readers of this site that we must, as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, use the shield of the Brown Scapular and the weapon of the Most Holy Rosary to combat the forces of the world, the flesh and the devil in our own lives so that we might be able to plant a few seeds for the glorious day when all men and all women everywhere will exclaim:
Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex!
Our Lady, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us!
Saint Joseph, Patron of Departing Souls, pray for us.
Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.
Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, pray for us.

Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?
