Herod's Iron Law:

Thou Shalt Not Manifest Christ the King

Holy Mother Church must live mystically the very life of her Divine Founder and Invisible Head, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, including, of course, His own Passion, Death, Burial, and Resurrection.

Indeed, the late Father Vincent Bowes, O.C.D., informed me on June 23, 2007, after a lecture I had given on the Social Reign of Christ the King in the undercroft of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, Massachusetts, that it was his belief, based on locutions that he told me had been provided him by Our Lord Himself, that Holy Mother Church was in the tomb in her mystical reliving of Our Divine Redeemer's life (see Bookended From Birth to Birth). This makes sense as Holy Mother Church in her mystical burial must undergo the same sort of persecutions that she had experienced in her infancy.

That is, following the very life of the Infant Christ the King was sought by Herod the Great after he had received a report of His Nativity. Herod the Great was thus an evil precursor of all of the "Herods" who were to follow him down to this very day, men who believe that it is their duty to crush any mention of the One they know to be their true rival, Christ the King.

The Apostles lived fear because of the the "Herods" among the Jews who had handed Christ the King over to Pontius Pilate for sentencing, the Jews who, surely prompted in large measure by our own sins having transcended time, called out for His Crucifixion and mocked and reviled Him on the Via Dolorosa and as He suffered His unspeakably horrific death on the wood of the Holy Cross. Fearful of these "Herods," the Apostles lived in fright until Saint Mary Magdalene brought them the news that Our Lord had risen from the dead on Easter Sunday, something that was not, of course, good enough for Saint Thomas the Apostle, who did not believe it until Our Lord appeared to him on Low Sunday and told him to put his finger in his nail prints on His hands and his hand in His wounded side.

In like manner, today, you see, the Herods of Modernity in the world, prompted in no small measure by the Talmudic successors of Herod the Great, have become increasingly bolder in recent years in their efforts to eradicate all public mention of the Holy Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Our latter day Herods do this because they are agents of the devil himself as they, wittingly or unwittingly as the case may be, serve as the precursors of Antichrist. These latter day Herods believe themselves to be righteous in their eradication of all public mention of Christ the King and in their zeal to impose by means of the civil law moral depravity as the "new normal." Those who oppose these efforts must be stigmatized socially with such labels as "bigoted," "intolerant," "haters," "divisive," "mean," "reactionary," "superstitious," "racist," "anti-Semitic," and among other choice descriptions, "backward."

Federal and state government departments and agencies have waged an aggressive campaign to persecute those who have any semblance of belief, no matter how corrupted, in Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, no less those who believe in everything He has revealed to us exclusively through the true Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. Any display of Christian religious symbolism or any effort to discuss belief in Christ the King is forbidden lest one be sent to "sensitivity" reprogramming sessions. The same is true in many instances in the corporate world, of course.

Yes, of course. This did not happen overnight. This is but the logical "end result" of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolution and institutionalized by the rise of the devil's panoply of naturalist ideologies and "philosophies" that can be categorized as Judeo-Masonry. As the circumstances of the times required of them, one true pope after another taught us in the Nineteenth Century that social order must fall apart absent the Catholic Faith, which is hated by Talmudists and the Herods of theirs in the civil government who are, at least for the most part, noting a few exceptions here and there, their paid stooges and flunkies.

Here are just two reminders for what appears to be a dwindling readership of this site:

To hold, therefore, that there is no difference in matters of religion between forms that are unlike each other, and even contrary to each other, most clearly leads in the end to the rejection of all religion in both theory and practice. And this is the same thing as atheism, however it may differ from it in name. Men who really believe in the existence of God must, in order to be consistent with themselves and to avoid absurd conclusions, understand that differing modes of divine worship involving dissimilarity and conflict even on most important points cannot all be equally probable, equally good, and equally acceptable to God. Here we have, founded by Catholics, an inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact. It should not surprise us, therefore, Herod Obama the Ignominious (which will replace Caesar Barackus Obamus Ignoramus during the reigning Marxist's second term) has said that that military chaplains should not have a "conscience clause" that makes it possible for them to refuse to officiate at "weddings" for those of the same gender engaged in perverse acts in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments:

President Barack Obama called a conscience clause for military chaplains in the National Defense Authorization Act “unnecessary and ill-advised.”

The NDAA provision ordered that no member of the armed forces may require a chaplain to perform a rite or ceremony that violates the chaplain’s beliefs, and that chaplains may not be disciplined for refusing to perform such a ceremony.

The provision, which was introduced by now-former Missouri Rep. Todd Akin, was a response to Obama’s 2011 repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

Religious liberty advocates and chaplains worried that they may be required to violate their consciences by administering sacraments or officiating marriage ceremonies to gay service members, which would be contrary to some religious traditions, including those of the Catholic Church.

“The Armed Forces shall accommodate the beliefs of a member of the armed forces reflecting the conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs of the member and, in so far as practicable, may not use such beliefs as the basis of any adverse personnel action, discrimination, or denial of promotion, schooling, training, or assignment,” the bill read.

But Obama, who declared his personal support for gay marriage last year, said the bill’s concerns are unfounded.

“The military already appropriately protects the freedom of conscience of chaplains and service members,” Obama wrote Jan. 2 in announcing his signing of the bill. “The secretary of defense will ensure that the implementing regulations do not permit or condone discriminatory actions that compromise good order and discipline or otherwise violate military codes of conduct.”

Obama signed the NDAA Jan. 2 in Hawaii after it passed the Senate Dec. 21, saying that although he did not agree with each provision in the 680-page bill, “the need to renew critical defense authorities and funding was too great to ignore.” (Obama calls NDAA conscience clause for military.)

 

It is only a matter of time before former Representative Todd Akin's "conscience clause" provision is consigned to the dust bin of history. Such must be the inexorable march of evil in a world governed by latter day Herods who hate the very mention of the Holy Name of Jesus and who hate with a demonic fury the doctrines that He has entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for their eternal safekeeping and infallible explication.

The heresy of "religious liberty" must produce this kind of madness. There is no alternative to it. Herods of the world must run amok with their madness when the Herods of a counterfeit ape of the Catholic Church, the counterfeit church of concilairism, embrace the heresy of "religious liberty" upon which they are being skewered even for their apparent defense, no matter how weak in nature and no matter how falsely founded in "human dignity" rather than in Divine Revelation, of certain moral truths.

It is in the United States military, after all, that "chaplains" for those who believe in witchcraft, which involves overt worship of the devil, is permissible. After all, there must be "religious liberty" for the direct worship of the devil, as opposed to the indirect worship given him in all false religions, including Protestantism. No one who is attached to conciliar structures who wants to make even a pretense of intellectual honesty can protest such "liberty" for "witches" as the Herods of Modernism praise the "civil rights" of all, "believers" and "unbelievers" alike, to manifest their beliefs publicly.

It is impossible to retard the civil "rights" of wiccans and witches and moral perverts. when the man who is believed by all but a really, really tiny number of people in the world to be the Vicar of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on earth shows himself to be an open supporter of devil worship as he esteems the symbols and "values" of false religions and as he reaffirms adherents of those false religions in their beliefs until the very moment of their deaths.

We must keep in mind that only one religion is pleasing to God, Catholicism, and that every other religion is from the devil. Protestantism, we must remember, is a diabolically-planned and instituted revolution against the Divine Plan that God Himself instituted to effect man's return to Him through the Catholic Church. Its false rites, which served as prototypes for the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, are pleasing only to the devil as he convinces "believers" that they are singing the praises of Our Lord when the truth is that they are being kept from true knowledge of the Divine Redeemer in false sects that do not have any means to provide them with supernatural helps to sanctify and save their immortal souls. The devil himself made this very point to a group of Calvinist ministers.

It is indeed a remarkable fact that, as the devil made use of Luther, an apostate monk, to abolish the Mass and deny the Real Presence; in like manner, God made use of His arch-enemy, the devil, to prove the Real Presence. He repeatedly forced him publicly to profess his firm belief in it, to confound the heretics for their disbelief, and acknowledge himself vanquished by Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. For this purpose, God allowed a certain Mme. Nicola Aubrey, an innocent person, to become possessed by Beelzebub and twenty-nine other evil spirits. The possession took place on the eighth of November, 1565, and lasted until the eighth of February, 1566.

Her parents took her to Father de Motta, a pious priest of Vervins, in order that he might expel the demon by exorcisms of the Church. Father de Motta tried several times to expel the evil spirit by applying the sacred relics of the holy cross, but he could not succeed; Satan would not depart. At last, inspired by the Holy Ghost, he resolved to expel the devil by means of the sacrament of Our Lord's Body and Blood. Whilst Nicola was lying in a state of unnatural lethargy, Father de Motta placed the Blessed Sacrament upon her lips, and instantly the infernal spell was broken; Nicola was restored to consciousness, and received Holy Communion with every mark of devotion. As soon as Nicola had received the sacred Body of Our Lord, her face became bright and beautiful as the face of an angel, and all who saw her were filled with joy and wonder, and they blessed God from their inmost hearts. With the permission of God, Satan returned and again took possession of Nicola.

As the strange circumstances of Nicola's possession became known everywhere, several Calvinist preachers came with their followers, to "expose this popish cheat," as they said. On their entrance, the devil saluted them mockingly, called them by name, and told them that they had come in obedience to him. One of the preachers took his Protestant prayer book, and began to read it with a very solemn face. The devil laughed at him, and putting on a most comical look, he said: "Ho! Ho! My good friend; do you intend to expel me with your prayers and hymns? Do you think that they will cause me any pain? Don't you know that they are mine? I helped to compose them!"

"I will expel thee in the name of God," said the preacher, solemnly.

"You!" said the devil mockingly. "You will not expel me either in the name of God, or in the name of the devil. Did you ever hear of one devil driving out another?"

"I am not a devil," said the preacher, angrily, "I am a servant of Christ."

"A servant of Christ, indeed!" said Satan, with a sneer. "What! I tell you, you are worse than I am. I believe, and you do not want to believe. Do you suppose that you can expel me from the body of this miserable wretch? Ha! Go first and expel all the devils that are in your own heart!"

The preacher took his leave, somewhat discomfited. On going away, he said, turning up the whites of his eyes, "O Lord, I pray thee, assist this poor creature!"

"And I pray Lucifer," cried the evil spirit, "that he may never leave you, but may always keep you firmly in his power, as he does now. Go about your business, now. You are all mine, and I am your master."

On the arrival of the priest, several of the Protestants went away -- they had seen and heard more than they wanted. Others, however, remained; and great was their terror when they saw how the devil writhed and howled in agony, as soon as the Blessed Sacrament was brought near him. At last the evil spirit departed, leaving Nicola in a state of unnatural trance. While she was in this state, several of the preachers tried to open her eyes, but they found it impossible to do so. The priest then placed the Blessed Sacrament on Nicola's lips, and instantly she was restored to consciousness. Rev. Father de Motta then turned to the astonished preachers, and said: "Go now, ye preachers of the new Gospel; go and relate everywhere what you have seen and heard. Do not deny any longer that Our Lord Jesus Christ is really and truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. Go now, and let not human respect hinder you from confessing the truth." Our Lady herself has demonstrated her displeasure with the protesters who compose the ranks of the false sects of Protestantism:

Heaven was watching over Pierre and after seven years, on March 25, 1656, Our Lady appeared to him. On that day, Pierre was working in the field and saw a Lady standing far away on a little hill. The Lady wore a white dress, a blue mantle and had a black veil over her head, which partly covered her face. As the Lady came toward Pierre, she suddenly picked up speed and in a flash, she stood beside him. With her beautiful, sweet voice, the Lady spoke to Pierre, "God be with you my friend!"

For a moment, Pierre stood in amazement. The Lady spoke again, "What is being said about this devotion? Do many people come?"

Pierre replied, "Yes many people come."

Then the Lady said, "Where does that heretic live who cut the willow tree? Does he not want to be converted?"

Pierre mumbled an answer.

The Lady became more serious, "Do you think that I do not know that you are the heretic? Realize that your end is at hand. If you do not return to the True Faith, you will be cast into Hell! But if you change your beliefs, I shall protect you before God. Tell people to pray that they may gain the good graces which, God in His mercy has offered to them." Our Blessed Mother described Herod of the Great and those who would succeed him in civil power through the centuries as follows in the instruction she gave to Venerable Mary of Agreda:

562. My daughter, the events recorded in this chapter contain much for the instruction of kings and princes and for the other faithful; as for instance, the prompt obedience and humility of the Magi, which men should imitate, and the obdurate wickedness of Herod, which they are to fear and abhor; for each reaped the fruit of his actions. The kings reaped the fruit of justice and other virtues, which they practiced; while Herod reaped those of ambition and pride by which he had usurped the government, and of other vices into which he cast him self without restriction or moderation. But let this remark, together with the other teachings of the holy church, suffice for those that live in the world. To thy self must thou apply the doctrine contained in what thou hast written; always remembering that all the perfection of a Christian life must be founded upon the Catholic truths, and in the constant and firm acknowledgment of them, as they are taught by holy faith. In order to impress them upon thy heart, thou must profit of all that thou readest or hearest of the divine Writings, and of what is contained in the other devout and instructive books concerning the virtues. Thy faith thou must accompany by the practice and abundance of all good works, hoping ever in the visitation and coming of the Most High (Tit. 2, 13).

563. By such a disposition thy soul will be prepared in the manner I require of thee. For I desire that the Almighty find in thee the sweet readiness to adopt what ever is manifested to thee, and to put in practice what ever may be enjoined without any human respect. I promise, that if thou follow my counsel as thou shouldst, I will be thy star and guide on the ways of the Lord, so that thou wilt quickly arrive at the vision and enjoyment of thy God and of thy highest good in Sion (Ps. 83, 8). In this doctrine, and in what happened to the devout kings of the Orient, there is contained a most effective means for the salvation of souls ; yet this is known to few and heeded by a still smaller number of men. It is this: that the inspirations and enlightenments are usually sent by God to creatures in a certain order. At first some are sent to incite the soul to practice some of the virtues; if the soul corresponds, the Most High sends other and greater ones in order to move the soul to greater perfection in virtue; and thus, profiting from previous graces, the soul is disposed for still others, receiving ever greater helps and securing an increase of the favors of the Lord according as it corresponds to them. Thou wilt therefore understand two things : first, how great a damage it is to neglect the exercise of any virtue and not to practice perfection according to the dictates of the divine inspirations; secondly, how often God would give great assistance to the souls, if they would begin to correspond to the smaller ones ; since He is as it were in expectation and hope that they will prepare for his greater ones (Apoc. 6, 20). For He wishes to deal with the soul according to his just judgments. But because they over look this orderly manner of proceeding in his invitations, He suspends the flow of his divine gifts and He refuses to the souls, what was intended for them if they had not placed an obstacle, allowing them to fall from one abyss to the other (Ps. 41, 8).

564. The Magi and Herod pursued opposite courses: the Magi met the first inspirations and graces by the practice of the good works; thus they disposed them selves by many virtues for being called and drawn by divine revelation to the knowledge of the mysteries of the Incarnation, the birth of the divine Word and the Redemption of the human race; and through this to the happiness and perfection of the way of life. But Herod, on the other hand, by his hard-heartedness and neglect of the helps, which God offered him for the practice of virtue, was drawn into the abyss of his measureless pride and ambition. These vices hurled him into such vast precipices of cruelty as to be the first one among men to seek the life of the Redeemer of the world under the cloak of simulated devotion and piety. In giving vent to his furious rage, he took away the life of the innocent children and attempted by so foul a measure to advance his damned and perverse undertaking.  (Venerable Mary of Agreda, The Mystical City of God, Volume II: The Incarnation, pp. 474-477.)

 

The Herods of Modernity have been enabled by the Herods of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism as both have but one iron law that binds them together at the hip: Thou shalt not mention Christ the King and His Social Kingship over men and their nations. Both reject the Social Reign of Christ the King, which is why there is such a kinship among them even as the Herods of Modernity plot to do away with their conciliar collaborators once and for all to prevent them from converting to Catholicism before they die and thus siding with the King of Kings rather than with the devil's lies of Modernity and Modernism.

We must overcome obstacles to Christ's Kingship in our immortal souls, getting ourselves to the daily offering of the Mass of the ages in the catacombs where no concessions are made to conciliarism or to its false shepherds, spending time before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer, praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit, offering up all of our sufferings and sacrifices and penances and mortifications and humiliations, many though they be be at times (Deo gratias!), to the Most Sacred Heart of Christ the King through the Immaculate Heart of Mary our Queen.

The devil hates the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Consider a secular newspaper account, contained in the Workers' Solidarity publication in Barcelona, Spain, of the jubilation that was felt in the murder of so many bishops and priests during the Spanish Revolution (1936-1939):

The Church must disappear forever. . . . The wretched little Catholic holes no loner exist. The torches of the people have pulverized them. In their place rises a free spirit that has nothing in common with the masochism which incubates in the naves of the cathedrals. But it is necessary to tear up the Church by the roots. For this we must take by force all its goods that rightly belong to the people. Religious orders must be dissolved. Bishops and cardinals must be shot.  (Quoted in Warren H. Carroll, The Last Crusade, Christendom Press, 1996, p. 111.)

 

The American Revolution and the French Revolution and the Mexican Revolution and the Italian Risorgimento and the Kulturkampf of Otto von Bismarck and the Bolshevik Revolution and the Cuban Revolution and the Chinese Revolution and the Sandinista Revolution have all had one thing in common: a thorough rejection of Christ the King and His true Church as paramount in the lives of men and their societies. The differences are only in degrees and methods. The American Revolution has coopted Catholics subtly over course of time while the others used violence and/or state coercion to silence Catholics (see Conversion in Reverse: How the Ethos of Americanism Converted Catholics and Contributed to the Rise of Conciliarism). No matter the differences in degrees and methods, the results are the same: a world where men believe that they can order themselves, both individually and socially, without even praying that Our Lord Himself reign over them and their nations as He has revealed Himself to them through His Catholic Church.

Antichrists abound in the world and in the conciliar church. Do not fear, however, Christ the King will be victorious when the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother is made manifest as her Fatima Message is fulfilled.

Do not fear. Holy Mother Church must go through the persecutions of the moment as she lives out mystically the very life of her Divine Bridegroom and Invisible Head.

We should always remember these words of Pope Pius XI, contained in Quas Primas, December 11, 1925:

We may well admire in this wonderful wisdom of the Providence of God, Who, ever bringing good out of evil, has from time to time suffered the faith and piety of men to grow weak, and allowed Catholic truth to be attacked by false doctrines, but always with the result that truth has afterwards shone out with greater splendor, and that men’s faith, aroused from its lethargy, has shown itself more vigorous than before . . . . But if the faithful were generally to understand that it behooves them ever to fight courageously under the banner of Christ their King, then, fired with apostolic zeal, they would strive to win over to their Lord those hearts that are bitter and estranged from Him, and would valiantly defend His rights. (Pope Pius XI, Quas Primas, December 11, 1925.)

 

Consecrated to Jesus through Mary, we remember these words that Our Lord Himself spoke to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque:

"I will reign in spite of all who oppose Me."  (quoted in: The Right Reverend Emile Bougaud. The Life of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, reprinted by TAN Books and Publishers in 1990, p. 361.)
