February 6 Update

This is to inform those who access this site on a regular basis that I am still alive and reasonably well after posting the last few articles, the last of which had to be written twice because of some malfunction whose origins will be made manifest on the Last Day. Having written extensively on substantive subjects that required, I believed, some commentary and analysis, I am now busy at work writing the next installment on the travelogue. I anticipate its completion by later today, Friday, February 6, 2009, the First Friday of the month of February. A pictorial essay will be posted by tomorrow morning, Saturday, February 7, 2009, if not before. The travelogue deals with a lot of substantive material, to be sure. As I have noted in the past, however, these travelogues are written principally to give our daughter a permanent record of our travels and experiences. Many readers have reported enjoying the travelogues, which  is why they are posted on the site. Indeed, a lot of readers have been asking for the next installment, chief among them is Lucy herself, who reads now at a fourth grade level and she won't turn seven until March 27! Thanks for your patience. Check back later today.

In the meantime, however, I do have an interesting piece of literature for you to read and to act upon: it's called the Donations page! God bless, Mary keep, Thomas A. Droleskey.

To Bury The Truth

An earlier version of this article was swallowed whole when I attempted to publish it about eight hours ago, that is, around 11:30 a.m., Central Standard Time. Efforts to retrieve its text proved unsuccessful. I thus had to rewrite the article all over again, and I want to post it now, at 7:35 p.m., Central Standard Time, in light of the fast-breaking developments concerning the demands made by the conciliar Vatican upon the Society of Saint Pius X and Bishop Richard Williamson in order to appease the ancient enemies of the Catholic Faith who deny the one and only Holocaust, a crime against God that makes crimes against men all the more possible. We need to pray hard in these times of apostasy and betrayal. Figures of Antichrist in the counterfeit church of conciliarism desire to silence truth in the Order of Grace (Redemption) and in the Order of Creation (Nature). We must denounce these efforts to silence truth as we cleave to true bishops and true priests in the Catholic catacombs who make no concessions to concilairism or its shepherds who have dared to offended the honor and glory and majesty of God so regularly, so brazenly, so arrogantly and with utterly no repentance whatsoever. May God have mercy on us all! Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us!

The Donations page has been updated to reflect our new mailing address. There is nothing really "new" in the letter other than the address, save for the funds we need to raise to return to Ohio on Sunday, February 15, 2009, and to recoup some of our recent, unexpected expenses when we had to make our own "flight into Egypt" because of the harsh weather conditions in Ohio that were taking a toll on our motor home, which must be brought in for yet another set of repairs on its generator tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Agatha, Thursday, February 5, 2009. This is one of those times where we need help in a hurry. I hope that some of you who have not heretofore made non-tax-deductible gifts to us will consider doing so in a real big hurry. Thank you!

A Little Bit "In," A Little Bit "Out

Just another article on the comical farce, replete with plots and sub-plots of intrigue inside the halls of the Vatican in conciliar captivity, dealing with the efforts on the part of the conciliarists to bring the Society of Saint Pius X into "full communion" with their One World Church, a place where people can hold divergent views on matters pertaining to the Faith and still be considered a "member" in "good standing." It is, of course, impossible to be a little bit "in" and a little bit "out" of the Catholic Church. It is all or nothing. And it continues to be quite a spectacle to see that the "return" of the Society of Saint Pius X as "full members" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism is being determined to a large, although not entirely exclusive, extent by the "sensitivities" and demands of those who deny the one and only Holocaust, that offered by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Father in Spirit and in Truth on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for our sins. Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us!

Work on the next installment in the travelogue continue, albeit slowly. I also intend to give the newest statist in the White House, the naturalist of the "left" who has replaced the statist from the false opposite of the naturalist "right" some attention (other than that given him in my prayers for his conversion to the true Faith) soon.

I will announce in a few days the dates and times of some lectures to be given at Christ the King Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, where we have taken refuge from the cold and the snow that hit our motor home very hard last week in West Chester, Ohio. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

Finally, I beg your prayers for the repose of my dear wife's father's immortal soul. Mr. John Collins died two years ago yesterday, that is, on Saturday, February 3, 2007. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Please also pray for the conversion of his non-Catholic survivors in his immediate family.

Revised: The Sword of Sorrow

Today is the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, always the humble handmaid of the Lord who humbled herself this day by submitting to the rituals of the law although she was not in need of such a ritualistic purification because of her Perpetual Virginity. This is the day that Our Lady presented her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in the same Temple where He would be found twelve years later answering questions of the rabbis, the same Temple whose curtain would be torn in two from top to bottom as He breathed His last on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem us, thereby signifying the permanent end of the Old Covenant and the supersession of Judaism by Catholicism as the true religion.

The aged Simeon, who waited patiently every day in the Temple for the fulfillment of the promise that God had made to him, that he would not die before his eyes had seen and his arms had beheld the Messiah, sent the first Sword of Sorrow plunging through Our Lady's Sorrowful and and Immaculate Heart when he prophesied that the Child he beheld would be destined for the rise and for the fall of man, a sign to be opposed, a Sign of Contradiction.

We must never fear to be signs of contradiction in our own lives in imitation of the THE Sign of Contradiction, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as He hung on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem us as he was mocked and reviled by the very people from whose stock He had taken His Sacred Humanity. We must be willing to suffer all manner of calumny and humiliation for the many times that we have preferred human respect to fidelity to Our Lord, for the many times we have refused to call upon Our Lady's maternal intercession, for the many times we have refused to "take sides," especially in our day by refusing to reject conciliarism and its ravenous wolves once and for all. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us! Saint Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church and Protector of the Faithful, pray for us.

Voices From Hell

Various voices from Hell are still howling at the moon over Bishop Richard Williamson's recently televised interview. Some of these voices, not surprisingly, belong to the professional Christophobic agitators in the Talmudic community, who, it appears, exercise enough clout over Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI to have delayed, at least for a time, the final absorption of the Society of Saint Pius X into the One World Church of which the counterfeit church of conciliarism is part. Others of these voices from Hell belong to some conciliar "bishops" in the United States of America, each of whom offends God in multiple ways. Still other voices belong to fifty pro-abortion Catholic members of the United States of America, evidently not satisfied at Ratzinger/Benedict's "reassurances" to the Talmudic community, who are demanding that Ratzinger/Benedict "unequivocally repudiate" Bishop Williamson's views on the nature and extent of the crimes of the Third Reich. The price of "recognition," as I noted two days ago in Recognize and Capitulate is always very high. The Society of Saint Pius X, founded in a false ecclesiology (please listen to Father Anthony Cekada's The One-World Church & SSPX and The Errors of the Society of St. Pius X), is finding out that the price of "admission" to the One World Church will come on the terms of the ancient enemies of the Faith. False premises always lead to bad consequences. Always. Inevitably. Pope Saint Pius X, pray for us!

A blessed Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all! Christmastide ends with the conclusion of Holy Mass today.

February 1 Republished Article and Late Afternoon Update

Republished: Nothing Super About the "Super Bowl"

Although published after the "Super Bowl" played last year, this article conveys a timeless theme concerning how we in the United States of America have permitted ourselves to be as diverted by "bread and circuses" as were the Romans of yore prior to the collapse of the Roman Empire in the West in the Fourth Century A.D. Never mind the "rock" music played during the "game" at during the half-time festival of self-indulgence. Never mind the immodesty. Never mind the indecent advertising. All that matters is the "game." Those who are open to at least considering the harm of popular culture will find this article to be of interest. Those who are unwilling to "make the break" as I delayed doing until Tuesday, July 16, 2002, when I walked away from baseball and out of the now almost completely demolished Shea Stadium for good, will wait for "another time" to reconsider their attachment to "the game." I would urge one and all to listen once again to Father Charles McGuire's Agony and Contention in Sports

Late Afternoon Update: In light of the events of the last week, I strongly recommend that those who access this site listen to Father Anthony Cekada's excellent sermon, delivered today at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, “The One-World Church & SSPX." Father Cekada's sermon discussed the Modernism of the young Father Angelo Roncalli (the future antipope John XXIII) and the thoroughly false ecclesiologies of the "Second" Vatican Council, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, and of the Society of Saint Pius X. Please listen to this excellent sermon. I also recommend that those who have not listened to Father Cekada's The Errors of the Society of St. Pius X, which was delivered on Sunday, July 9, 2006.

Look for another article tomorrow, the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Candlemas, the end of Christmastide.

January 31 Article

Recognize and Capitulate

Those who seek to be "recognized" by apostates and blasphemers who engage in all manner of sacrilege must wind up capitulating as the high price of such "recognition." The recent interview given by Bishop Richard Williamson has shown that adherents of the Talmud continue to wield great influence over Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who has gone to great lengths to "reassure" them that he believes in the mythologies that they have helped to perpetuate in the past sixty years or so as they, the adherents of the Talmud, have used these mythologies to attack the Faith mercilessly under cover of law in Western countries, including in the United States of America. That Bishop Bernard Fellay has felt compelled to issue several statements critical of Bishop Williamson's remarks demonstrates quite concretely that Talmudic organizations are dictating the terms of the Society of Saint Pius X's "full communion" with the One World Church of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. A strange, new edifice is indeed being erected on a brick-by-brick basis. Unfortunately for those attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, this strange, new structure is not a restoration of the Catholic Church but her perverse ape, from which believing Catholics must flee once and for all. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us. Saint John Bosco, pray for us.

We are still pretty tired from nearly a thousand miles of drive in twenty-nine hours and lots of problems (yes, fodder for the travelogue). All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

Give me a few days to complete the travelogue. Keep checking, however, in the event the fast-breaking developments in the story of the construction of new rooms in the One World Church makes necessary an additional commentary before the travelogue is completed.

Donations, donations, donations! Thank you.

January 29 Update

No articles for another day or so. We had to uproot ourselves yesterday as the snow and ice storm in southwestern Ohio was taking a toll on our motor home. We are en route to warmer climes.

A brief check of e-mail at 3:35 a.m., Eastern time, indicates that there are a lot of people who are very upset with the article that was posted yesterday. The point of the article was to note that it is indeed ironic that those who cite revisionist historical research about the events that took place during World War II, which research stands or falls on its own merits, must be excoriated while those who deny the one and only Holocaust, that which Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ offered on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for our sins, are being enabled by the conciliar Vatican at almost every turn. No one has freedom to investigate the claims asserted by "mainstream" historians. Everyone has the freedom to deny Our Lord and His Redemptive Act on the wood of the Holy Cross. Truly shameful and fascistic.

A follow-up article on the continuing furor--and Bishop Williamson's apology to the conciliar Vatican--will be written soon. We are just happy to cleave to true shepherds who make no concessions to concilairism at all and who never have to apologize for standing fast in defense of truths in the Order of Redemption (Grace) and in the Order of Creation (Nature). Deo gratias!

It is time for me to sleep!

Sincerely yours in Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, Thomas A. Droleskey.

Those Who Deny The Holocaust

Those who found Nothing to Negotiate objectionable are really going to howl over this article, which deals with the heat that Bishop Richard Williamson of the Society of Saint Pius X has taken for his comments made in a recently televised interview that was taped in Germany on November 2, 2008. Rather than be concerned with His Excellency's comments about the nature extent of the crimes of the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler against adherents of the Talmud and others, Catholics ought to be concerned about seeking the conversion of those who deny the one and only Holocaust, that offered by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Himself to the Father in Spirit and in Truth in atonement for our sins. For it will not be until those who deny the Holocaust offered on the wood of the Holy Cross come to forgive those who have committed crimes against their people that they will see in others who raise questions about the factual accuracy of the details of those crimes as their brothers in Christ, not their enemies, who are concerned about truth both in the Order of Redemption (the Order of Grace) and the Order of Creation (Nature). May we pray more and more Rosaries of reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as we seek the conversion of everyone, including those who deny the one and only Holocaust, to the true Faith. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, pray for us. Saint John Chrysostom, pray for us.

There might be a new article tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2009, the Feast of Saint Francis de Sales. We must take refuge in a southern climate after the current ice storm passes over the Cincinnati, Ohio, area. Writing will resume, God willing and Our Lady, keeping, after we have reached our temporary refuge from winter's chill. Pray for us!

Another Country Kicks Out Christ the King

The Bolivian people have "voted" to kick out Christ the King from their constitution at the behest of their socialist, pantheist President, Evo Morales, a "Catholic" who says that he is an "admirer" of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ but who "worships" the Andean earth "deity" (Pachamama). The conciliar "bishops" in Bolivia, while raising objections to ten articles in the newly approved constitution, did not oppose the charter, expressing "regrets" that the document did not acknowledge Bolivia's history as a Catholic nation. No defense of the Social Reign of Christ the King or the confessionally Catholic civil state that Bolivia was, at least on paper, until yesterday, January 25, 2009. Then again, how can the conciliar "bishops" of Bolivia defend the Social Reign of Christ King or even the confessionally Catholic civil state when the man they work for, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, hails the "separation of Church and State" as a great sign of "progress" for "humanity" rather than reiterating Pope Saint Pius X's condemnation of this thesis as one that is "absolutely false." And this is what the bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X want to be in full communion with? Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. Saint Polycarp, pray for us.

Another article should appear tomorrow, January 27, 2009, the Feast of Saint John Chrysostom. That one may or may not deal with the television interview given recently by Bishop Richard Williamson of the Society of Saint Pius X. Just keep checking! (Donations, donations, donations! Things are awfully thin now.)

Finally, please do listen to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's wonderful tribute to the late Father Eldred Leslie, the only sedevacantist priest on the continent of Africa, who was murdered last week. “We’re All Missionaries Now

Nothing to Negotiate

Believe me, it is no fun being the "ant" at the picnic, so to speak, that is, the one who "spoils" the "good times" for others. My bursting of political balloons, such as the patent absurdities that former George Walker Bush was "pro-life" or that that the partly pro-abortion and fully pro-contraception Sarah Heath Palin changed anything about the political landscape in the farce that is electoral politics in the United States of America, has made me very unpopular. So has my criticism of Summorum Pontificum, and so will this article, which discusses the "lifting" of the "excommunications" imposed upon the four bishops consecrated by the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, whose own "excommunication" stands, it appears, for the time being, on June 30, 1988. That is why most of my articles have a monthly viewership of between one hundred and two hundred readers.

Truth matters, however, no matter how few people read the articles on this site. And the truth of the matter is that the Catholic Faith is non-negotiable. As I have come to recognize in recent years, Catholics cannot take it upon themselves to "pick and choose" which "papal" decrees and liturgical rites that they are going to "recognize" or "resist." Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has given us the papacy so that we do not have to make any decisions about these matters. We receive the teaching of a true pope as we would receive it from the hand of Our Lord Himself. It is that simple.

Those who want to believe that the "lifting" of "excommunications" by authorities of a false church represent a step in the direction of the "restoration" of Tradition will rejoice at the news announced yesterday by the conciliar Vatican. Others of us understand that it is impossible for the Catholic Church to give us defective liturgies and questionable teachings, which is why we continue to entrust the salvation of our own immortal souls to true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism and consider events such as yesterday as irrelevant to the life of Catholics as announcements made by the Anglican "archbishop" of Canterbury. He has no authority over Catholics. Neither does Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Paul the Apostle, pray for us.

There should be another article on this site by Tuesday, January 27, 2009. It will deal with the controversy engendered by Bishop Richard Williamson's recently televised interview and the reaction to it from within the Society of Saint Pius X and from others.

January 24 Republished Article and Update

Republished: We Don't Want to Learn Anything

This is one of those times when a news event does not require any additional commentary. This article, published on November 11, 2008, speaks to the hysteria that would be whipped up when President Barack Hussein Obama reversed former President George Walker Bush's version of the "Mexico City Policy" that supposedly "gagged" employees of international "family planning" agencies in foreign countries from killing babies via surgical means directly on their premises and/or counseling women about abortions. The hysteria has, of course, begun.

As explained in this article, which I reviewed a short while ago and has saved me a lot of work as it deals directly with that Obama did yesterday in reversing the most recent version of the Mexico City Policy, former President Bush's executive order re-instating the policy that had been a feature of the administrations of former Presidents Ronald Wilson Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush after it had been reversed by former President William Jefferson Clinton on January 22, 1993, had loopholes galore within it. Employees of "family planning" agencies could counsel women to kill their babies surgically if they met with such women off of the premises of the agency and on their own time. Surgical baby-killing paid for by American taxpayer dollars could take place in certain "hard" cases. And this is to say nothing about the fact that countless numbers of babies were killed during the George Walker Bush administration as a result of the chemical abortifacients that were funded by our own taxpayer dollars.

Thus, my friends, do not be fooled by the hysteria. Although President Barack Hussein Obama is now directly responsible before God for the shedding of the blood of the innocent preborn, he is, you see, a man of perfect integrity in his commitment to the promotion of this evil. Unlike his predecessor, "W," who claimed to be "pro-life" while having "pro-life" policies that actually did use American taxpayer dollars to fund the deaths of countless numbers of innocent preborn babies in their mothers' wombs, Obama is open and honest about his support for baby-killing. That is the only real, substantive difference between Obama's reversal of the "Bush 41" Mexico City Policy and the policy as it existed during the past eight years.

Oh, yes, sure, true, Obama is a little more discreet than was former President William Jefferson Clinton, who "got in the faces" of those participating in the March for Life on January 22, 1993, by signing several executive orders on the twentieth anniversary of the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. Obama issued his own executive order reversing the "Bush 41" Mexico City Policy late yesterday, Friday, January 23, 2009, the day after the March for Life and without the presence of reporters or television camerias.

Obama's "discretion" does not make him any the less culpable before God for his open embrace of evil. He has now decreed, without any subterfuge, such as that used by George Walker Bush, the deaths of innocent human beings with American taxpayer dollars. May God have mercy on his immortal soul for becoming the chief executive of a nation in the manner of Herod the Great himself.

There are two quotes that Obama ought to consider, one fictional and one that is deadly real:

The first comes from the final line of the motion picture Judgment at Nuremberg during the scene in which Judge Haywood, played by Spencer Tracy, visits the convicted war criminal, Nazi Judge Ernest Janning, played by Burt Lancaster, and is told by Janning, who had sentenced people to death as part of Hitler's eugenics program: "I never knew it would come to that. You must believe it." Haywood responded: Herr Janning... it came to that the first time you sentenced a man to death... you knew to be innocent."

The second comes from Pope Pius XI in Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930, and has been quoted on this site quite a lot recently (and will be placed in the sidebar--Thoughts to Ponder--for the duration of the Obama administration), and should chill the bones of any man with a functioning conscience:

Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven.

Remember this quote, Mr. President, and know that we are praying for your conversion to the true Faith so that you will meet Christ the King as your merciful Redeemer and not as your Avenging Judge. And how sad it is that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI refuses to speak to agents of death such as Barack Hussein Obama in the terms used by a true pope, Pope Pius XI. Let us pray many Rosaries! Saint Timothy, pray for us!

I am working an article dealing with the "lifting of the excommunications" imposed upon the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, the late Bishop Antonio de Castro Mayer and the four bishops they consecrated on June 30, 1988. That article will deal as well with the controversy surrounding one of those four bishops, Bishop Richard Williamson. Stay tuned.

Please be advised that His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan will be offering a Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of the murdered Father Eldred Leslie of Durban, South Africa, who worked closely with Bishop Dolan in recent years, on Monday, January 25, 2009, at 11:25 a.m. It will be webcast at Live Mass Simulcasts. A Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Father Gunther Richter will be offered by His Excellency Bishop Dolan on Tuesday, January 26, 2009, at 11:25 a.m. Please do remember the souls of these two priests in your prayers.

I am still trying to find out why the webcasting is not working. I tried my computer and camera in the connection used by Saint Gertrude the Great Church to webcast Masses there. Nothing worked. I will keep you posted.

Finally, apart from one or two individuals, there has been quite a lull in donations. We need your help. We got a donation last week that made possible the payment of some pressing bills. It is very difficult--and also quite humiliating--to have to ask the readers of this site who have the means to be of assistance and who support its work to make non tax-deductible financial gifts to us. However, I am forced to do so once again. The address to which you may send such non tax-deductible financial gifts is: Post Office Box 8168, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Thank you.

Republished: Father Stepanich on the Thuc Line Consecrations

There was not enough "gas" in the tank last evening to write a new article. One should be posted tomorrow. However, I do want to re-highlight this post from nearly six months ago to put to rest the "insights" that are being offered by various lay "experts" concerning the validity of the Lefebvre and Thuc line priestly ordinations and episcopal consecrations. None of these "experts" is trained formally in Principles of Canonical Interpretation or in Canon Law itself. Their conclusions are worthless and fly in the face of those reached by priests such as Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., who have the grace of Holy Orders and years of actual formal scholarly training.

More tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding.

January 22 Articles and Update on the Murder of Father Eldred Leslie

What's Difficult About Thou Shalt Not Kill?

The carnage is mind-numbing. Over fifty million innocent human beings have been slaughtered under cover of law in the past forty-two years since the States of Colorado and California began to "expand" the conditions under which women could "choose" to kill their preborn children. The decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton thirty-six years ago today extended the "right of privacy," formulated in the case of Griswold v. Connecticut, June 7, 1965, to cover a woman's "right" to "choose" to kill her preborn child, effectively overturning the laws of thirty-three state legislatures that, to one extent or another, restricted such baby-killing, a matter covered with some care in the article from 366 days ago that I am re-highlighting today, Thirty-five Years of Indifference.

As horrific as the daily slaughter of the preborn is, one of the four crimes that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, we must bear in mind that the direct, intentional killing of innocent preborn children under cover of law is the direct and inevitable consequence of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt and institutionalized by the multifaceted and inter-related forces of Judeo-Masonry. And despite all of the "pro-life" rhetoric from conciliar "popes" and "cardinals" and "bishops," the fact remains that the counterfeit church of conciliarism has helped to institutionalize baby-killing by accepting the false premises of the Modern civil state  (religious liberty, separation of Church and State, false ecumenism). The scions of the counterfeit church of conciliarism reject the truth that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order, thus making themselves part of the problem that we face and no part of the solution at all.

We must spend time today before the Blessed Sacrament in prayer and praying Rosaries of reparation for our sins and those of the whole world. May our time in prayer before Christ the King in His Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament and our prayers to His Most Blessed Mother, in whose Virginal and Immaculate Womb He was conceived by the power of God the Holy Ghost and grew to the point of His Nativity in Bethlehem, help to plant a few seeds for the conversion of men and their nations to His Social Reign, ushering in the day when all men will exclaim: Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey! Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Depending upon the executive orders issued by the pro-abortion President Barack Hussein Obama today, there should be another article tomorrow. An article on what appears at this posting to be the "lifting" of the "excommunications" of the four bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X will be written and posted only after such a decree is published and the terms contained therein made manifest. I will simply say for the moment that what I wrote two years ago, March to Oblivion, and last year, High Church, Low Church, might be useful to re-read.

Late-Afternoon Update: His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan announced today at a Votive Mass of the Holy Innocents at Saint Gertrude the Great Church that Father Eldred Leslie, a South African priest who was eighty-three years of age who had maintained the Faith all these decades despite intensive persecution from the conciliar authorities, was brutally murdered by robbers last evening, Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Father Leslie's death is reminiscent of the death of Saint Meinrad at the hands of robbers. Please remember this devoted priest's immortal soul in your prayers and remember to have Masses offered for his soul. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul--and all of the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God--rest in peace. Amen. We need to pray as well that a replacement is found to carry on Father Leslie's work for the now-orphaned Catholics in the Durban, South Africa, area who received the true Sacraments from his priestly hands.

Studied Silence, False Hopes

Fantasies are easier on the mind if one is afraid to embrace reality. Many Catholics have remained completely and utterly silent in the wake of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's multiple acts of blasphemy and sacrilege against the honor and glory and majesty of the Most Holy Trinity, believing that such silence serves "strategic" purposes in light of the issuance of Summorum Pontificum. This is exactly as Ratzinger/Benedict desires it as he goes about the business of deconstructing the Faith to make it appear as though his New Theology, condemned by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950, can be accepted according to his absurd "hermeneutic of continuity and discontinuity."

President Barack Hussein Obama is using a similar strategy to seek to co-opt opposition from among the ranks of certain elements of naturalists to his "right" and from among the ranks of Protestant evangelicals who have been skeptical of him up until now. His inaugural address yesterday, which was an exercise in pure, unadulterated naturalism, was delivered after weeks of carefully cultivating various opponents, including the man he defeated for the Presidency, John Sidney McCain III, in order to neutralize them, if not "win them over" to become supporters of his further adventures in statism.

It cannot be that way with us. Neither a studied silence about the false "pontiff's" blasphemies and apostasies or any amount of false hopes placed in a political messiah advances the honor and glory of God or the good of souls. We must defend the immutable truths of the Catholic Faith as the one and only foundation of personal and social order. Saint Agnes, pray for us.

There should be another article tomorrow, January 22, 2009. A permanent link to my audio lecture of three days ago, Abort Christ the King, Abort the Babies, has been placed on the Articles page.

We Wait for Another, We Wait for Christ the King

Barack Hussein Obama, who will be sworn into office as the forty-fourth President of the United States of America at noon, Eastern Standard Time, today, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, said the following on Tuesday, February 8, 2008:

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. (Raw Data: Text of Barack Obama's Super Tuesday Speech)

I am sorry, President Obama. We wait for another. We wait for Christ the King.

While today will be one of great celebration for so many millions of people, we must keep uppermost in our minds the simple fact that over four thousand innocent human beings will be put to death under cover of the civil law this very day. This is a day of reparation, not celebration.

The outgoing president, George Walker Bush, was, as I tried to demonstrated consistently since the time he announced his candidacy for the year 2000 Republican Presidential nomination in 1999, a false "friend" of the babies who did much to advance the deaths of the innocent preborn, especially by funding for chemical abortifacients. His successor, Barack Hussein Obama, is doing us the favor of being quite open about his support for the killing of the preborn, which he will indeed advance during his term of office.

While we are duty bound as a matter of filial piety to pray for him as our President and duty bound by Catholic Charity to pray for his conversion, we are also duty bound to oppose his policies, especially by using the weapon of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary. There can be no "change" for the better when a nation founded in false naturalistic premises is awash in the blood of the innocent preborn.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. Saints Fabian and Sebastian, pray for us.

I'd like to think that another article will be posted tomorrow in the aftermath of the inauguration speech. Check back tomorrow (and I am trying to solve the webcasting problem in between dealing with our motor home problems, which involved getting new brakes, always quite helpful, yesterday, Monday, January 19, 2009).

January 18 Article and Audio Lecture Update

From Luther to Bush to Obama

Well, text for this article has now been added. The article contains a link to the talk that I gave a Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, this afternoon, "Abort Christ the King, Abort the Babies." I have discovered that it is possible to upload an audio file directly from my computer to this site without making it available through the Christ or Chaos Store, which so few people have seen fit in God's Holy Providence to use. I will be able to tell how many people access the "free talk" unencumbered by registrations and passwords.

The lecture linked on the new page runs one hour, twenty-four minutes. The themes covered should be familiar to readers of this site. There is one point, when discussing the partial-birth abortion ban, that I simply lost my train of thought. However, the train got back on track shortly thereafter. Other than that, the lecture, which was by necessity much shorter than it would have been without a live audience, should be pretty coherent.

Given the fact that additional health problems have been uncovered that will need regular monitoring, I might be doing more of the audio lectures and making them accessible via this particular site. I am also endeavoring to track down the problems with the webcasting, seeking a way "around" the problems if they prove intractable because of our lack of a high speed land line.

The next travelogue is in the process of being written. It should appear in a few days.

Keep praying for us! We have had some substantial motor home problems in recent days in addition to my own health difficulties. Penance is good! All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, May, and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

Clueless Is As Clueless Does

How did you like the hiatus from new articles? Seriously, I appear to be much better from the staph infection of the spleen, which was treated by a kinesiologist (I'll have more to write about this amazing use of the properties that God has implanted in the human body at some point soon, only noting for the moment that those in conventional medicine should not be so quick to dismiss the fact that there are some people truly gifted by God who have the ability to heal without mortgaging their souls to the multinational pharmaceutical companies), as I have a lot more energy than I have had in many years. I've been running on "empty," physically speaking, for a long, long time, seeking Our Lady's graces to overcome a natural desire to sleep almost all of the time in order to do my work. I will, however, pace myself a bit more and not keep the late night hours that proved to be my undoing. The few hundred people who access this website will understand, I believe.

Anyhow, this new article deals with the outgoing naturalist-in-chief, George Walker Bush, who delivered his "farewell" address last evening, Wednesday, January 15, 2009, the Feast of Our Lady of Prompt Succor. The address was an exercise in pure naturalism and American semi-Pelagianism, the belief that "we" can do anything "we" set our minds to doing and that the American "way" of "freedom" and "democracy" is the "way" for the rest of the world. Overlooked in President Bush's speech is the devastation that this country has wrought upon innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. Overlooked in President Bush's speech is the devastation that is visited daily upon the innocent preborn in this country and around the world by chemical and surgical means, a devastation that the Bush administration helped to perpetrate by means of funding domestic and international "family planning" programs. Overlooked in the President's "National Sanctity of Life Day" proclamation, which is nothing other than a rehash of earlier such proclamations, is that his expressed desire to work for the day when all "children will be welcomed in life and protected by law" is contradicted by his stated belief that the law must permit innocent preborn children to be killed in certain "hard" cases. How can every child be welcomed in life and protected by law when one believes that the law can permit the direct, intentional killing of certain children in certain cases? Clueless is as clueless does. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, pray for us!

Oh, as those of you who remember my articles from The Wanderer and the printed pages of Christ or Chaos in the 1990s, the naturalists of the "left," who have received much attention on this site, in the incoming administration will receive as much attention as I gave their predecessors in the administration of William Jefferson Blythe Clinton and Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. I do not discriminate in my bashing of the falsehoods of naturalism and I attempt to uphold Catholicism as the one and only foundation of personal and social order.

The webcasting is on hold, sorry to report, until I can figure out what is preventing a picture from being presented on the Ustream website from my camera when my computer connected to a high speed internet connection, as it was yesterday at a FedexOffice facility. I am sorry for the delay. I am praying that the problem is rectified soon. I will keep you posted in the meantime.

I would be remiss if I did not express a word of total marvel at the wonder of God's loving Mercy that He extended to the passengers of USAirways Flight 1549 that was guided by pilot Chesley Sullenberger into the middle of the Hudson River between the Borough of Manhattan in the City of New York and New Jersey when the Airbus A320 hit a flock of geese, knocking out both engines. It is indeed nothing other than a miracle that all onboard escaped and were rescued. God will not be outdone in His generosity to us erring sinners.

Well, it's a decent hour to quit for the night. We have to take the motor home in for major brake repairs tomorrow, thereafter secure liquefied propane gas to keep us toasty in the midst of the cold spell that has hit southwestern Ohio.

Finally, there will be a change of address noted before too long on the Donations page. I will explain more in the next installment of the travelogue. Suffice it to say that we're not leaving Saint Gertrude the Great Church any time soon. We are prospering under the glories offered here by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Fathers Anthony Cekada an Markus Ramolla, assisted every once in a while by Father Charles McGuire. We are grateful to His Excellency for providing us a "home" here at Saint Gertrude's.

January 14 Late Evening Update

Late evening update: In the Providence of God, Who is All Merciful, I have discovered that I have been suffering from a staph infection that has weakened me considerably for a long time, perhaps even years. Rest is one of the prescriptions for recovering from this infection. Although I will indeed start the webcasts, assuming I can find a venue with high speed wireless to make them possible, the writing, especially the late-night writing that keeps me up until the wee hours, must be reduced, at least temporarily. New articles will appear several times a week. However, I will follow doctor's orders and get some much needed rest to deal with this problem, which I give with gladness to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

What I will do on those days when new articles do not appear, however, is to refer you to previously posted articles dealing with current subjects (as well as offering short commentaries on this home page now and again). And new articles will be a bit shorter in length. I will also attempt to catalog articles by themes for easy reference by readers, creating a new page on this site for that purpose.

Once again, therefore, I want to refer you to my article, Only Themselves to Blame, on the much-hyped "Freedom of Choice Act," which does not have the support of enough members of the United States House of Representatives or the United States Senate to be passed and then sent to the desk of President Barack Hussein Obama to be signed into law. I urge you all again to re-read this article as we, of course, keep praying that this odious measure remains as buried in the 111th Congress as it has been in every Congress since its initial introduction in 1983.

Also, the Catholic apologist for President-elect Barack Hussein Obama, Douglas Kmiec, a law professor at Pepperdine University and reportedly on Obama's "short list" to be the United States Ambassador to the Holy See in conciliar captivity, is accusing "right wing bloggers" of character assassinating him. Au contraire, Professor Kmiec. Barack Hussein Obama supports the nonexistent "right of privacy" for women to "choose" to kill their preborn children. He is unfit to hold any office of public trust as believes in the mystical dismemberment of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs under cover of law. Please re-read Trapped by Apostasy and Willfully Trapped by Apostasy for a dissection of Professor Kmiec's multiple errors as he supports a shameless supporter of the destruction of the innocent preborn, both by chemical and surgical means.

I will let you know tomorrow about the webcast. Thanks for your patience and your prayers.

They Know Not The Way

Holy Mother Church's sanctoral cycle resumes today following the close of the Octave of the Epiphany. We commemorate the saintly life and heroic work in defense of the Faith of Saint Hilary of Poitiers, the Athanasius of the West, fighting Arianism and the Gallicanism that has manifested itself today in the "resist and recognize" approach to ecclesiology. Saint Hilary of Poitiers, a great defender of Christ the King, stands, therefore, in sharp contrast to another person named "Hillary," who testified before the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the incoming Obama administration's "plans" for "peace." These naturalists know not the way, my friends. For the Way, the Truth, and the Life is Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. The path to world peace runs through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Moral Monsters

Moral monsters. How else can the killers of innocent civilians in Gaza be called? Moral monsters. Those two words describe the state of the souls of men, steeped in the ravages of Original Sin, who believing that killing innocent civilians will make their own nation, founded upon an open and manifest rejection of the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, more secure. Such is an illusion of the devil. It is an illusion that American policy-makers, most of whom support some amount of the killing of preborn children under cover of law, suffer from as well. Nations whose governments kill the innocent can never be made "secure" from the threats posed by enemies who view its innocent population as ready targets for attack. Men and their nations must convert to the Catholic Faith and to the Social Reign of Christ the King. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

All is set for the webcast for tomorrow, the Octave Day of the Epiphany. Just click on the link above and you will be taken to the monitor for the webcast, which will be a summary of what has been done on the Christ or Chaos store site thus far and a preview of future lectures.

Please listen to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's sermon delivered yesterday, the Feast of the Holy Family, at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, Jesus the Adolescent. I also commend to your attention the following recent sermons given by His Excellency: The Difference Between Christmas & Epiphany, The Holy Name of Jesus, Morning Prayers, The Ongoing Slaughter of the Holy Innocents and Peace to Men of Good Will, reminding you also of the live streaming of the Masses at the St. Gertrude the Great website.

By the way, Donations are down. Bills are relentless. Help, please!

January 11 Revised Article

Revised: From Nazareth We Come, In Nazareth We Must Live

Today, the Sunday within the Octave of the Epiphany, is the Feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ chose to become Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, and place Himself, the Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Son of God the Father, under subjection to mere creatures His Most Blessed Mother, the fairest flower of our race, and to Good Saint Joseph, his foster-father. The subjection of the God-Man to the authority of His Most Blessed Mother and his foster-father, whom He had chosen from all eternity to provide Him with the earthly love and care and stewardship of a father seeking only to please God with his every thought, word an deed, teaches us that we, who came from families and who, in many instances, are raising families of our own, must be subject to all legitimate authority, duly constituted, in all things that do not pertain to sinful commands.

Children are supposed to learn this subjection in the household from their tenderest days, seeing in their fathers the image of Saint Joseph and in their mothers the image of Our Lady. Children are supposed to realize that God in the very Flesh obeyed His creatures in the Holy Family of Nazareth. So must they.

Parents must, for their part, foster an atmosphere within the family of selflessness, charity, forgiveness and joy, centering the family's life on daily assistance at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (if at all possible), regular time spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, the daily recitation of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary, supplications to Our Lady's Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph, home enthronement to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Total Consecration to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the same Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scriptural reading and family reading time, especially about the lives of the saints, and a refusal to participate in the rot of popular culture. This requires sacrifice and the willingness to be misunderstood, calumniated and rejected even by one's own family members as we protect our children from those cultural currents that come from the devil and are designed to lead each of us to Hell for all eternity.

To eschew worldliness one must be ready to embrace the Holy Poverty of the Holy Family of Nazareth, detaching oneself from the material acquisitiveness of our consumer society, shaped by Judeo-Calvinist materialism, and to live in light of First Things and Last Things as we week to acquire the only thing that matters: Sanctifying Grace in this life and eternal life in the glory of the Beatific Vision of Father, Son and Holy Ghost in Heaven.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you, save souls!

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, pray for us now and in death's agony.

A blessed Feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth to you all.

Circumstances prevented an original article being posted today. This is just as well. Our focus this day should be on the glories and the joys and the obedience and the poverty and the love of the Holy Family of Nazareth. There should be a new article tomorrow, Monday, January 12, 2009, at which point I hope to have more information about the webcasting that will begin on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, the Octave Day of the Holy Family.

First the Faith, Then the Buildings

The counterfeit church of conciliarism has taken in recent decades to selling off churches and schools and convents and other properties that belong to the patrimony of the Catholic Church. The fact that such sales have been undertaken speaks volumes about the fruitlessness of conciliarism. The buildings and other properties themselves would not have been deemed necessary to sell unless the true Faith had been expelled from their premises long, long before. It is to the true Faith that we must cling in the catacombs where no concessions are made to conciliarism or its false shepherds as we imitate in our own day the holy example of Saint Athanasius who wrote:

Let us consider: What is more important, the place or the Faith? The true Faith, obviously. Who has lost and who has won in this struggle? The one who keeps the premises or the one who keeps the Faith?

True, the premises are good when the Apostolic Faith is preached there -- they are holy if everything takes place there in a holy way...

You are the ones who are happy. You who remain within the Church by your faith, who hold firmly to the foundations of the Faith which has come down to us from Apostolic Tradition. And if an execrable jealousy has tried to shake it on a number of occasions, it has not succeeded. They are the ones who have broken away from it in the present crisis. (Letter of St. Athanasius to his flock.)

There should be another original article on this site tomorrow, the Feast of the Holy Family, in addition to a revised reflection on this great feast day.

Folding Like Cheap Cameras

Although Illinois Governor Rod "Meet George Jetson" Blagojevich faces imminent impeachment by the Illinois State House of Representatives, he still retains full governing power until he resigns or he is convicted by the Illinois State Senate and then removed from office. Blagojevich has, in a most cleverly cynical move, appointed former Illinois State Comptroller and Attorney General Roland W. Burris to the United States Senate seat that was vacated two months ago by President-elect Barack Hussein Obama. Burris, who has lost every election he has contested since his election as Illinois Attorney General in 1990, calling his opponents for the Democrat Party gubernatorial nomination in 1998 to be "nonqualified white guys," has played the "race card" so well that Democrats in the United States Senate are folding like one of the "cheap cameras" referred to so frequently by radio talk show host Bob Grant in his heydays on WMCA, WOR and WABC radio in New York City. Burris is quite yet seated. However, it is interesting to see the "race card" played so openly and to see how the naturalists of the "left" just fold their tents and utter, with Porky Pig, "Th-th-th-th-tha's all, folks!"

Catholics understand that we do not view ourselves or others by means of external physical characteristics. Each person bears within Himself the Divine impress and we must treat Him as we would treat Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the very flesh. There is no "affirmative action" program in Heaven. There can be done here on the face of this earth. Saint Peter Claver, pray for us. Blessed Martin de Porres, pray for us.

There should be one or two new articles posted on this site tomorrow, January 10, 2008.

Just A Logical Progression

As those of you have had computer crashes will understand, it takes time to "rebuild" one's software programs in a new computer after they have been lost in an old one. Thus it is that yesterday, January 7, 2009, was spent in loading various programs onto the new computer (as well as attending to domestic duties that were delayed because of the computer crash last week).

This article, therefore, which I had hoped would be done by early-afternoon yesterday is being posted as the first new article following the computer crash. There is nothing new in its text. It is yet another effort to remind readers that we must view the events of the world through the eyes of the true Faith. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ must reign as King over men and their nations. It was good enough for the Three Kings. It should be good enough for us us.

There should be another original article on this site tomorrow. Thanks for your patience with all of the delays of the past few days!

January 6 Update

A blessed Feast of the Epiphany of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to you all.

The Offertory for today's Mass explains that all kings shall adore Christ King and that all nations shall serve Him. The United States of America is no exception to this. We must pray for the day when the leaders of this country, founded on the falsehoods of Protestantism and Judeo-Masonry that are so hateful to Our King, will adore Him as their King and the day when this nation will serve Him as it acknowledges His Social Kingship over it by submitting in all that pertains to the good of souls to the authority of the Catholic Church that He Himself founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope.

Well, after two updates posted via courtesy of the courtesy of the staff at BlueModus, I am now "back in business" with a new computer, which, with a service plan and tax, that cost $970.00. One generous reader donated $900.00 shortly after this original January 6 update was posted. Any additional non-tax-deductible gifts would be appreciated to help us meet ordinary monthly expenses that have now come due. We are very grateful to the individual who was able to make the purchase of a new computer possible. This same individual donated the sum that made possible the purchase of the computer that has just died.

As I have noted in the past on so many other occasions, emergency appeals would not be necessary if more of you who support the work of the site and have the means to make non-tax-deductible gifts donated just $2-$5 a month. We accept all as coming from the hand of God. Our situation would be a bit more regularized if those who have the means to be of assistance to us saw fit to make a small monthly gift. We hope that we can count on your help on a regular basis.

"There has been a great deal of hype concerning the so-called Freedom of Choice Act. I dealt with that hype a month ago in Only Themselves to Blame, archived in the December articles (and listed, I believe, on this home page on December 15). Nothing has changed concerning the facts presented in that article. Supporters of this truly draconian measure, which has languished in Congress for the past twenty-six years (even during the first two years of the Clinton-Gore administration), know that the "votes" are not there to pass this bill, as I explained in my piece, which I ask one and all to review with care. While we must certainly pray constantly that such measures are defeated and keep vigilance concerning the progress of this odious bill in the 111th Congress, the mere fact that there is even a possibility of the passage of such a measure as the Freedom of Choice Act is the consequence of the false, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian principles upon which the country was founded. I ask, therefore, for those concerned about the bill to read "Only Themselves to Blame" once again as we, of course, keep praying our Rosaries of reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Finally, I want to inform those accessing this site during its "down time" that a Pontifical Mass will be offered by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan at Saint Gertrude the Great Church this evening at 5:30 p.m., Eastern time. You may watch the Mass via live streaming at www.sgg.org.

A new article should appear at some point tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, 2009.

January 4 Update

"The status of the posting of any new articles on this site in the near future is most uncertain. A major virus has--despite a sophisticated antivirus program--destroyed my computer's hard drive. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

"Please pray for us, and we do ask that those of you who are able to make non-tax-deductible gifts to us will do so at this time. Penance is the only path to Heaven as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart."

"Save for a once-a-day check at a FedEx/Office facility, I will be unable to answer e-mail. Those who have my telephone number and need to reach me may do so by telephoning me."

"I thank the staff of the hosting company that hosts this site for their courtesy in getting this note posted on this home page!"

"A blessed Feast of the Epiphany to you all."

We're Not in Kansas Any More

No, we're not in Kansas any more, Toto. That is, it's not the 1950s any longer. Many of the trends, including the prevailing ethos of Americanism abroad in the Church Militant in the United States of America at the time, proved to be harbingers of the social and theological and liturgical revolutions that were to be felt with full fury in the 1960s and thereafter. The 1950s, however, was not a decade of "innocence" or "harmlessness. As I attempt to demonstrate in this article, delayed by computer problems (looks like my machine has been infected again--all to thee, Blessed Mother, all to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls!), we are paying very much for the attitudes of the 1950s, attitudes that had one thing in common: a rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King as it must be exercised by the Catholic Church.

A blessed Octave Day of Saint John the Evangelist to you all. And a blessed feast of Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris, France, whose injunction to the people of Paris to pray and to fast turned back Attila the Hun. That's what you call Action Francaise. Really, it's what you call Action Catholique! Saint Genevieve, pray for us.

The date of the next new article on this site is to be determined. A lot depends upon the computer. Just keep checking. I can't promise you that I  can produce the output this year as I did in the recently concluded year of 2008. I will do my best, according to the duties of my state in life, to produce, solely by God's graces sent to me by His Most Blessed Mother, timely articles on matters of Church and State as I have in the past.

Revised: To Fulfill All Righteousness, To Proclaim the Name of All Names

We start the New Year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the year 2009, with the Feast of His Circumcision, the first time that He shed His Most Precious Blood as His Holy Name, Jesus, was proclaimed publicly for the first time. One drop of His Most Precious Blood would have been enough to redeem us. It was His Co-Equal Father's Will for Him to undergo His fearful Passion and Death so as to show forth the depths of His love for us and the horror of our own sins.

Our Lady was present with her Most Chaste Spouse, Good Saint Joseph, when the Precious Blood of her Divine Son was shed for the first time on this day over two millennia now. She was present as He shed His Most Precious Blood during His Passion and Death. She, our spotless Blessed Mother, wants us to be ready to shed our blood in behalf of the Holy Faith and in defense of the Holy Name of Jesus, the only Name given to men by which they are to be saved. We will rely upon Our Lady's help to have the courage to be more zealous in defense of the Holy Faith that has been given to us as such a high cost?

Another New Year to Serve Our Lord through the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Well, here is the first new article of the new year. It is but a brief reflection on the gratitude that we must have to God for all that He has given us throughout our lives, including the now concluded year of 2008, and to beg Him to be grateful to Him for everything that He gives us--both the consolations and the crosses--as we offer unto Him in perfect equanimity all of our sorrows and joys through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I also want to bring to you attention an article in today's edition of The New York Times that deals with the continued Israeli bombardment of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, In Dense Gaza, Civilians Suffer. This article amplifies points that I made in Worthy Successors of Herod the Great three days ago now. Our Lady of the Rosary, for us!

A blessed New Year and Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord to you all!

Revised: A Pope Who Was No "Puddy Tat"

Pope Saint Sylvester I did not abide heresy. He did not enable it in the slightest. He confronted it as he sought the conversion of all non-Catholics to the true Faith. His firm defense of the Holy Faith as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Vicar on earth must inspire us in our day to seek his intercession for the needs of the Church Militant on earth as she suffers in the catacombs as pretenders to the papal throne make their open accommodations to propositions that have been anathematized time and time again in the past by true popes and/or dogmatic councils. The Church arose from the catacombs during the pontificate of Pope Saint Sylvester I. May his intercession for us now help to bring about a like arising from the catacombs in our own day as the falsehoods of the counterfeit church of conciliarism are wiped away once and for all.

There should be another original article posted for tomorrow, the Feast of the Circumcision, along with a revised article. (You'll have to settle for 222 original articles on this site in calendar year 2008.)

It would be wise to end this year by spending time before Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Real Presence in prayer as we pray our Rosaries in thanksgiving for the favors and graces received this year, in reparation for our sins and those of others this year, in petition for our spiritual and temporal needs and, of course, in adoration of the good God Who preserves our existence and Who wants us to show forth our love for Him by our fidelity to His teaching and our sorrow for our sins as members of His true Church.

A Holy New Year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 2009 to you all!

Worthy Successors of Herod the Great

King Herod the Great ordered the slaughter of the Holy Innocents in his quest to kill Christ the King. Many modern day Herods the Great in the United States of America are his worthy successors as they support the mystical dismemberment of Christ the King in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs. King Herod the Great also has worthy successors in the former Judea itself, people who will stop at nothing to exact revenge upon those who are themselves attempting to exact revenge upon them, the Israelis, for their six decades of injustices and cruelties imposed upon Palestinian Arabs whose homes and property were stolen as so many thousands of them imprisoned in concentration camps (excuse me, "detention centers").

Lost in every flare-up of violence in the Holy Land is the simple truth that there can be no true peace in the souls of men who are captive to the devil by means of Original Sin and who suffer, even though they are unaware of this fact, from the effects of their Actual Sins. Thus it must be that Mohammedans and adherents of the Talmud, both of whom are strangers to the Mercy and forgiveness offered by the Divine Redeemer they reject and mock, war with each other in the belief that the sword, and not Our Lady's Immaculate Heart and her Fatima Peace Plan, is the path to justice and peace. We need to pray more Rosaries of reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world as men who are lost spiritually at at war with each other physically will be converted to the Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no order within or between nations. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for. Pope Saint Pius X, pray for us.

There should be a new article as well as a republished article at some point tomorrow, December 31, 2008, the Feast of Pope Saint Sylvester I.

Revised: A Martyr for the Church's Liberties

There was a time when there were real, honest-to-goodness Catholic Archbishops of Canterbury. Let's see here, that would be from the time of Saint Augustine of Canterbury in 597 A.D. to the time of Reginald Cardinal Pole in 1558, a period of nearly a millennium. The fortieth legitimate Archbishop of Canterbury is the saint whose feast we celebrate today, Saint Thomas a Becket, who was indeed a martyr for the Church's liberties.

Saint Thomas a Becket asserted the rights of Christ the King as the Archbishop of Canterbury, insisting that clerics accused of civil crimes be tried in ecclesiastical, not civil, courts. This led him to clash with his onetime friend, King Henry II of the House of Plantagenet. Prefiguring another English king named Henry (this one, number The Eighth, from the House of Tudor), Henry II could not abide his former friend's resistance to his, Henry's attempt to assert royal power over the Church, leading him to uttering the words that would inspire three of his barons to murder the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas a Becket, on this date in 1170, eight hundred thirty-eight years ago now. The latter Henry, the one called "The Eighth," had Saint Thomas a Beckets relics destroyed as his martyrdom was a reminder to one and all that the Church has Divine Rights superior to those of the civil state.

King Henry II had to do public penance for uttering the words that resulted in the martyrdom of Saint Thomas a Becket. His son, King John I, having been slow to learn the lessons of his public penance, was forced by his barons and noblemen in the year 1215 to sign the Magna Carta to guarantee the rights of the Church under civil law in England. This was a victory for the liberties of the Catholic Church that had been won by the blood of this great champion of the Social Reign of Christ the King, Saint Thomas a Becket, whose intercession we seek this day and every day for the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King in all nations, including the United States of America.

It's Still a World of Sisyphuses

It was 367 days ago that A World of Sisyphuses was published in the midst of the madness then leading up to the 2008 presidential primaries and caucuses. Believe it or not, there are people gearing up for the year 2012. Boulders will be pushed up hills once again as they, the boulders, keep falling back down on those attempting to push them up. And thus it must ever be in a system based on false, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian principles where the devil wins no matter who wins a particular election. We are just completing an eight-year course of unmitigated moral disasters wrought by Y2K's Lesser Evil, George Walker Bush, whose disastrous presidency has made possible the election of Barack Hussein Obama. "Things" will be no different in 2012 as they were in 2008, and no amount of advertences to arguments made to Americanist theologians in the past (including one, Monsignor John A. Ryan, who was known as "Right Reverend New Dealer" and actively and viciously denounced Father Charles Coughlin's courageous opposition to the policies of thirty-third degree Masonic statist known as Franklin Delano Roosevelt) can make morally mandatory participation in a system that is a fraud from beginning to end and institutionalizes greater and greater evils with each election cycle. Once again, I don't expect too many people to understand or accept the fact that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. However, I will go to my grave trying to help people understand and accept this fact.

There should be another original article on this site tomorrow, December 30, 2008.

December 28 Revised Article

Revised: Wholly Innocent

Today, the Fourth Day within the Octave of Christmas, is the Feast the Holy Innocents, the children who were put to death at the orders of the jealous titular King of Judea who had been installed by the Roman occupiers to pacify resistance to their unjust occupation of the Holy Land. King Herod the Great, whose sons Herod and Philip were no less corrupt and violent than he was, wanted to kill the Baby King Whom he thought to be a threat to his own political suzerainty, such as it was as a puppet ruler under the Roman occupiers. It meant nothing to him to wipe out so many innocent children in his quest to kill the Baby King, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who was born in Bethlehem to save, his, Herod the Great's, own immortal soul by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross.

There have been imitators of Herod the Great throughout history who have sought to put to death the followers of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in an insane effort to wipe the Faith off of the face of this earth. The names of these imitators are legion. Their likes are to be found in our own midst today as politicians of both major organized crime families of naturalism in the United States of America, the Democrat Party and the Republican Party, believe that a just social order can be established and maintained while innocent preborn human beings are slaughtered under cover of law and while the Sovereignty of Christ the King is denied in favor of the sovereignty of men and their false, naturalistic, semi-Pelagian and anti-Incarnational ideas.

That having been noted, however, it is important to point out that the Holy Innocents are honored as saints because they died in the place of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a political potentate drunk with his own self-importance sought to kill the Newborn Baby King with a furious rage. The slaughter of the innocent preborn today, as horrible as it is and as deserving of our attention by means of legitimate Catholic Action undertaken under the direction of our true bishops and true priests, especially by means of praying Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary and by means of sidewalk counseling, is different in that the children being killed today are not being targeted specifically in the place of Our Lord. Unlike the speculative conclusions offered by the "International Theological Commission" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism in 2007, the Catholic Church has never held out "hope" that the souls of unbaptized infants go to Heaven, which is why the crime of the killing of the preborn is so monstrous as it kills the souls of those involved in the execution and denies the slaughtered babies the glory of the Beatific Vision. The Holy Innocents are saints because they were targeted quite specifically because of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and thus shed their blood on His account.

We need to invoke the intercession of the Holy Innocents today and every day to stop the shedding of the blood of the innocent under cover of law, praying to them especially that Catholics blinded by the allure of various naturalistic "strategies" to end the social evils of the day will be reminded of this truth stated by Pope Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:

For there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ must reign as King of men and nations, my friends. Accept no naturalistic substitutes from the "Herods" of this world and their enablers in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who reject the Social Reign of the Newborn King, Our Divine Redeemer Whom Herod the Great sought to kill.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

The Holy Innocents, pray for us.

A new article is in development. It should be posted tomorrow, Monday, December 29, 2009, the Feast of Saint Thomas a Becket, along with a revised article for this feast.

Revised: Love Unalloyed for Love Incarnate

Saint John the Evangelist, a son of Zebedee, was the youngest of the twelve Apostles. He was a virgin, a man who offered to His Divine Master, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, pure love in a heart that was not sullied by the world, the flesh and the devil. This youngest Apostle with the purest heart was permitted to lean on Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's chest, wherein beat His Most Sacred Heart, at the Last Supper. And it was this purity of heart possessed by Saint John the Evangelist that led him to be present at the foot of the Holy Cross and to be given the singular privilege by Our Divine Redeemer of caring for His own Most Blessed Mother until the time of her death and bodily Assumption into Heaven.

Despite what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI contended blasphemously in Jesus of Nazareth concerning the "disputed" nature of the human authorship of the Fourth Gospel, Saint John the Evangelist is indeed the human author of the Fourth Gospel and of his epistles and the Book of the Apocalypse. Saint John is the Evangelist of the Incarnation of the Word whose Gospel provides us with Scriptural proofs for the doctrine of the Eucharist and for the Sacrament of Penance. And the Charity preached by Saint John the Evangelist was not exercise in empty sentimentality. For it was Saint John himself who wrote:

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And every one that loveth him who begot, loveth him also who is born of him. In this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the charity of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy. (1 John 5: 1-3)

Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us to remain faithful to the Catholic Faith, which is under attack by the conciliarists today who propagate such absurdities as the insanity of the so-called "hermeneutic of continuity and discontinuity," which is evaluated yet again in an original article, the 220th on this site this year, covering lots of old territory, Continuity Plus Discontinuity Will Always Equal Insanity.

As my computer's "power cord" has shorted out, this is being written while the computer's battery is wearing out to almost nothing. Whether there will be a new article on this site tomorrow, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, depends on whether I can obtain a new power cord. Keep checking! All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you. Save souls! (This means that e-mails will not be answered as I won't be able to access them. Be patient.)

A blessed Feast of Saint John the Evangelist to everyone, especially those named John!

The Stoning of Saint Stephen

Revised: To Forgive and To Pray

The shadow of the Holy Cross hung over the cave in Bethlehem even as the shepherds who had been called by angels from the nearby fields adored the Infant King alongside the Mother of God and her Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph. Holy Mother Church directs our attention to this fact today as we focus on the truth that the Birth of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Bethlehem on Christmas Day was to make possible our own spiritual rebirth in the Baptismal font and our birth unto eternal life at the moment of our deaths if we persist to the very end in states of Sanctifying Grace. The path to our salvation runs directly through the Holy Cross and it requires us to be willing to sacrifice riches and honors and pleasures and human respect and even our very lives to bear witness to Christ the King a He has revealed Himself to men exclusively through the Catholic Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope.

Saint Stephen the Protomartyr was willing to lay down his life as he preached the Gospel of the Divine Redeemer in an attempt to convert the Jews who were listening to him and engaging him in disputation. He exhibited the Virtue of Fortitude as he proclaimed the Gospel in the midst of insults an threats. And Saint Stephen the Protomartyr exhibited the Virtue of Charity as he prayed for his executioners, one of whom was the fire-breathing anti-Catholic zealot named Saul of Tarsus. Saint Stephen's prayers at the time of his martyrdom and from eternity thereafter won the conversion of Saul, who became the Apostle to the Gentiles, Saint Paul the Apostle.

We must pray always for those who hate us, for those who calumniate us, for those who have done us some injury in the past, for those who have rejected us for one reason or another. Praying for and forgiving those from whom we are estranged is not an option for a Catholic. It is an obligation of the interior life imposed directly by the God-Man Himself in the Sermon on the Mount. If He forgives us so readily in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, why are we so slow to forgive others who owe us but an infinitesimally small portion of what we owe Him for our own forgiven sins? As the late Father John Hardon, S.J., noted in a conference in Sterling Heights, Michigan, at which I gave two presentations, "God permits us to sin so that we can forgive each other. Let me repeat myself here: God permit us to sin so that we can forgive each other." A sinner who is contrite and thankful to God never withholds forgiveness from his fellow sinner. Saint Stephen teaches us that lesson today. Are we going to learn it once and for all?

There might be an original article tomorrow in addition to a revised article on the Feast of Saint John the Evangelist.

A continued Blessed Christmas to you all and a blessed Feast Day of Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, especially to all those named after the Church's first martyr.

Christmas Day Reflections

Rejoice! Venite Adoremus! Our Saviour has been born for us of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Midnight in piercing cold. Venite Adoremus!

Surrounded by the host of Heavenly angels, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity Who was made Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, at the Annunciation nine months before is born for us this night. The long awaited Messiah comes as a helpless Infant, born in anonymity, poverty and humility. Bright radiant beams shine forth from His Holy Face, a Face that would be marred beyond all recognition by our sins as He walked on the Via Dolorosa on Good Friday to redeem us on the wood of the Holy Cross and thus make possible for us eternal life in Heaven in the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, Himself, the God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

Those bright beams that shone forth from the Newborn Baby Jesus this morning are meant to shine forth from our own souls as we grow in the graces that He won for us on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. There is no Holy Mass, where Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is born under the appearances of bread and wine every time a true bishop or a true priest utters the terrible words of Consecration, without this holy night. Just as Our Lord obeyed His Heavenly Father to become Man, so does He obey mere men when they, whose immortal souls have been conformed to His Priesthood and Victimhood, utter the words of Consecration over the mere elements of this earth, making Him Incarnate to feed our bodies and souls unto eternal life.

There is no regeneration of souls in the Baptismal font or in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance without this holy night.

There is no hope for mankind without this holy night.

There is, as the first Pope, Saint Peter, teaches us, no "salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4: 12.) Only Christ the King is God. None other. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. None other.

We gather around Our Lady, out of whose Virginal and Immaculate Womb the Newborn Babe passed as light through crystal this morning, and her Most Chaste Spouse, Good Saint Joseph, to adore Our Saviour, the very Lamb of God Who takest away the sins of the world, including yours and, most especially, mine!

May the Joyful Mysteries we continue to pray during this Octave of Christmas help us to be ever thankful for the great, incomparable gift that Our Lady gave to us this night as she brought forth her Divine Son so that He, Who stretched out His holy arms in the Crib this night, could stretch out this holy arms on the wood of the Cross to embrace all men to lift them up to the Heavenly Father in Spirit and in Truth.

On behalf of my wife Sharon and our daughter Lucy, who are busily preparing for Christmas Midnight Mass at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, as this is being written, I wish each of you a most Blessed and Joyous Christmas. This greeting is extended to all who access this site. No matter the difficulties of the present moment as false ecclesiastical officials deny the Sacred Rights of the Social Reign of Christ the King and esteem the symbols of false religions that are hideous and loathsome in His sight, the peace of Christ the King that He has entrusted to the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother is something that a believing Catholic must will for everyone, praying fervently for all whom God's Holy Providence has placed in his path over the years.

May each of us, united to the Merciful Heart of the Divine Redeemer that was formed out of us and is united yet to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, help us to pray for each other as we pray for the day with all Catholics will speak with one voce (una voce) and will think with but one mind, that of the Catholic Church, she who teaches the unchanging truths of the Immutable Triune God.

The following articles are reflections that have been written over the years. Born to Give Birth to Us All is a variation of a "homily" I wrote for a conciliar "bishop" twenty years ago and has gone through various redactions in The Wanderer, the printed pages of Christ or Chaos and on this website. The Christ and His Mass was written three years ago and undergone a few revisions since then. Venite Adoremus was written last year. Each of the reflections repeat similar themes. None, however, captures the inexpressible joy of his holy night and season. That can be done only in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is why I urge those of you who will not be at Midnight Mass tonight to watch the live streaming of the Mass at St. Gertrude the Great, which began with Matins at 8:30 p.m. and will continue through the end of Midnight Mass. Make sure to watch if you can't get a to a true offering of Midnight Mass.

A blessed Christmas to you all!

Venite Adoremus!

Make Haste, The Lord Is Nigh

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is nigh today. He comes to us in Midnight in piercing cold in Bethlehem. Have we prepared to "make haste," that is, to flee from the world and its false attractions and promises and "saviours" to welcome Him in our hearts and souls by means of Holy Communion? Have we asked His Most Blessed Mother, Who brought Him forth miraculously in the cave when there was no room for Him in the inn, to help us to make room for Him in the "inns" of our hearts and souls. Have we asked the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, Good Saint Joseph, to protect and to guide us as we seek out His Divine foster-Son as He is born for us on Altars of Sacrifice in the Catholic catacombs where no concessions are made to conciliarism or its false shepherds? Are we prepared to make this day, Christmas Eve, the Vigil of Christmas, one final day of penance as we abstain from the eating of meat? Are we prepared to celebrate this Christmas with joy and with thanksgiving as the Word Who was made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost beckons us to adore Him in His Real Presence day in and day out?

Make haste, the Lord is night. Midnight is coming. Are we ready? Make haste. Prepare well. Our Saviour is to be born for us!

I had expected to write another commentary for today. Alas, this short reflection was all that could be mustered. There will be two or three more original articles through the end of the year in addition to the republished articles on the feasts of the Christmas Octave.

A blessed Christmas Eve to you all. The Christmas reflections will be republished prior to the Midnight Mass at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, this evening.

Speaking of Saint Gertrude's,  there will be "live streaming" of the liturgical ceremonies there this evening starting at 8:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, with the chanting of Matins prior to the Christmas Carols and then the Midnight Mass. Please do watch at St. Gertrude the Great if you can't get to a true Midnight Mass in person!

Cushing's Children

Technical problems encountered by the company that hosts this site prevented this article from being posted earlier than it was, late on the evening of Monday, December 22, 2008, the Transferred Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostles as observed according to the rules of the pre-1956 Roman Rite before it was mangled by the likes of Annibale Bugnini and Ferdinando Antontelli (a mangling that, as it has come to light recently, was never approved by Pope Pius XII). All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

This article deals with the sad and most evil legacy left by the likes of Richard Cushing, the Archbishop of Boston from 1944 to 1970. Cushing worked along with Francis Cardinal Spellman, the Archbishop of New York from 1939 to 1967, to undermine efforts of bishops in Puerto Rico to defeat pro-contraception candidates in Puerto Rico in 1960. Cushing, who enabled the Kennedy clan at every turn without fail, said in an radio interview in 1965 that Catholic legislators in the Massachusetts General Court (state legislature) should vote their "consciences" on a bill to provide more liberalized access to birth control, a measure sponsored by State Senator Michael S. Dukakis. Why should we surprised, therefore, that one of his spiritual children, Caroline Kennedy-Schlossberg, has given answers to The New York Times that mark her as nothing other than a typical Catholic infused with the Americanist spirit? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

Republished: Mother Cabrini, Don't Be A Meanie

Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini longed as a child to be a missionary to China. It was Pope Leo XIII, concerned about Italian emigres to the United States of America being coopted by the Americanist culture of religious indifferentism and pluralism and materialism, who sent her packing to these shores. Mother Cabrini, the foundress of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, worked throughout the Americas to preserve the Catholicism of Italians and others who had migrated to the New World at the end of the Nineteenth Century and into the beginning of the Twentieth Century. She labored hard for souls, earning her the trust and admiration of Pope Leo XIII and his successor, Pope Saint Pius X. Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini longed from her childhood to save souls, starting with her own, and her zeal to bring souls to a love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was intense. She mortified her fear of spiders and other insects as she traveled extensively throughout the Americas, sometimes doing battle with the most nefarious of characters and, on one occasion in Nicaragua, battling gun-toting parents who were upset with her for enforcing authentically Catholic standards of modesty, very much in line with Our Lady's Fatima dress code, that made no concessions to any kind of worldly spirit whatsoever. Mother Cabrini contracted malaria, which would wind up killing her years later, in her travels. Even malaria, however, did not stop Mother Cabrini from founding sixty-seven institutions of mercy (hospitals, orphanages, schools). We must have the same zeal for souls as Mother Cabrini, the first and only American citizen to be canonized (leaving aside, of course, those "canonized" by the counterfeit church of conciliarism) as we recall the old Italian prayer, "Mother Cabrini, don't be a meanie, answer my prayer!" Mother Cabrini, help us to go to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary! (This article is accompanied by Mother Cabrini's Shrine: A Pictorial Essay that is composed of photographs my wife Sharon took at the Mother Cabrini Shrine in the Fort Washington section of the Borough of Manhattan in the City of New York, New York, on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Mother Cabrini, pray for us!

There should be two new articles posted on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, before a series of republished articles are highlighted during the Christmas Octave, during which time, yes, finally, the next installment of the travelogue should be completed.

Finally, we want to thank those of you who have sent us non-tax-deductible gifts. We remember each of our benefactors in our prayers every day without fail! We, of course, need more who support the work of this site and who have the means to be of assistance to do so. Thank you.

God Can Always Talk to His Saints

Although I had intended to take several days off from writing, a new story that was forwarded to me about conciliar "Bishop" Kieran Conry of Arundel and Brighton in England forced me to change my plans. This man had the audacity to claim that "You can't talk to young people about salvation. Go tell that to, say, Saint Tarcisius, Saint John Bosco, Saint Therese Lisieux, Saint Dominic Savio, Saint John Berchmans, Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, Blessed Imelda Lambertini, Little Nellie Organ of Holy God, Pope Saint Pius X, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Saint Louis IX, King of France, and other saints who loved God from their earliest days as He has revealed Himself to us through His true Church and took quite seriously as children the salvation of their immortal souls. Amazing hubris from men who have lost the Faith. We must pray hard in these final days of Advent! Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

I will probably have two more original articles on this site before Christmas, at which point most of the articles that will appear for the rest of the year will be republished or revised pieces concerning the feasts that take place in the Octave of Christmas. There might be two or three original articles during that time frame. However, 217 original articles have been written this year thus far. I think that a little lull for a a few days won't be noticed that much, especially since it appears as though the readership of this site is way down in recent weeks. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.

December 19 Article and Late Evening Update

Wallpaper That Glows in the Dark

A lot of investors lost of lot of money by trusting in the word and reputation of Bernard L. Madoff, who was selling these investors, in effect, the sort of "wallpaper that glows in the dark" that was once, as his wife Alice told it in "Better Living Through Television" (November 12, 1955), a failed "get rich quick scheme" of Gotham Bus Company driver Ralph Kramden of 328 Chauncey Street, Brooklyn, New York. Lest anyone, however, be tempted to succumb to the natural inclination of taking glee in the way in which Madoff preyed on his co-religionists, we must remember that each of us sells "wallpaper that glows in the dark" to ourselves as we accept the lies that we tell ourselves about the "minor" nature of our sins and failings. And, of course, many of us have been convinced to buy the "wallpaper that glows in the dark" that was sold us by the scions of counterfeit church of conciliarism. Bernard Madoff's investors learned that they had put their trust in a liar. It's time for Catholics to stop putting their trust in the lies of conciliarism and to invest their souls with true bishops and true priests in the catacombs who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its false shepherds. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Check back in a few days for the next article. A run of ten articles in nine days require a brief timeout to work on the next installment of the travelogue!

And, once again, I ask those who do support the work of this site and have the means to make a non-tax-deductible gift to us but have not so before to consider doing so now. We need your help. Thank you. (Donations letter.)

Late evening update:  I want to place a link to a very thoughtful article written by Mr. John Gregory on the "una cum" issue. The article, Clarifying the una cum Controversy, contains a link to His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan's excellent sermon, Why Do We Say No To The “Una Cum” Masses, delivered on Sunday, November 23, 2008, the Last Sunday after Pentecost, at Saint Gertrude the Great Church that I have linked to several times on this site. Mr. Gregory's analysis is a most thoughtful one and I do hope that readers of this site who have not yet extricated themselves from associating with clerics who mention the name of the false "pontiff" in the Canon of the Mass will do so posthaste. (I have written Mr. Gregory to say that his kind words about my poor-selling lecture program will earn him some Purgatory time. Seriously, however, I am grateful to him for those kind words. I do hope to return to the recording of the lectures shortly. That will mean a slight reduction in the frequency of article on this site. Completing the lecture series is something I want to do regardless as to the "audience" that might purchase the series.)

Orthodox Heterodoxy

Yesterday's article, No Ambiguity Here, and one of Tuesday's articles, Valuing Affronts to Christ the King, discussed recent instances in which there have been clearly stated defections from the Faith on the part of, respectively, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M., Cap., and Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.

The matter under discussion in this article, whose initial draft was reviewed and approved by one prelate, involves the typical use of ambiguity and obtuseness that are two of the hallmarks of the modus vivendi of the "New Theology." While there will be those who continue to seek to indemnify Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's views on the Doctrine of Justification and Original Sin as compatible with the Catholic Faith, the false "pontiff" has given us a roadmap as to how he has contempt for Scholasticism and for the work of dogmatic councils that relied upon the work of the Angelic Doctor, Saint Thomas Aquinas. Those who want to see that Ratzinger/Benedict is indeed trying to "re-define" the Faith in order to undue the "corrupting" influences of Scholasticism will do so. Others will persist in their blindness as they seek to enable a man who denies the very nature of dogmatic truth and denies quite directly the Social Reign of Christ the King, denying also the authorship of the Fourth Gospel as belonging to Saint John the Evangelist. Anyone who can deny such truths and blaspheme God by publicly esteeming the symbols of false religions is no friend of God or the souls for whom He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross. Those who want to enable such blasphemy and deception can go right ahead. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

A blessed Feast of the Expectation of Our Lady to you all!

No Ambiguity Here

There are times when the conciliarists speak in opaque, ambiguous and even contradictory terms that express the obtuse and unclear nature of the "New Theology" of which Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is a chief apostle and apologist. And then there are those times, such as when Ratzinger/Benedict endorses the "separation of Church and State" or rejects the "ecumenism of the return," when the conciliarists speak most clearly.

Such is the case with the preacher to the "papal" household, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M., Cap., who has said in the past the the Catholic Church has "lost the right" to seek to convert the Jews because of "the way that it was done in the past: and who said in a Good Friday sermon in 2002 that God positively wills non-Catholic religions to exist. The man is a blasphemer, and I had it out with a friend in the conciliar priesthood (who happens to be a true priest) of nearly a quarter of a century in 2004 because he continued to send out Cantalamessa's "insights" even though those "insights" were (and remain) at odds with the Catholic Faith.

The latest and very clear blasphemies coming from Father Raniero Cantalamessa were contained in a "homily" he wrote for Advent. Among the "insights" contained in this latest gem from the "papal" preacher is the assertion that Saint Paul the Apostle converted to a "Person," not to a "doctrine," as though there is any distinction at all between the Person of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and the Doctrine that He Himself revealed and entrusted to Holy Mother Church, she who is guided infallibly by God the Holy Ghost in the proclamation of His Doctrine.

There is no refuge for those who might assert that Father Cantalamessa is a "lone ranger" who speaks without the support of his boss in the conciliar structures, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. The conciliar "pontiff" has said almost the exact same thing on at least two different occasions since his "elevation" to being the head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Raniero Cantalamessa and Joseph Ratzinger are of one Modernist mind and one Modernist heart on matters pertaining to what constitutes "faith" In Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

The "O Antiphons" start today:

O WISDOM, Who came from the mouth of the Most High, reaching from end to end and ordering all things mightily and sweetly: COME, and teach us the way of prudence. Amen.

May each of us follow the path of prudence as we cleave to the Catholic Faith as taught without any concessions to conciliarism or its false shepherds by true bishop and true priests in our modern-day catacombs.

The article that has been out for review for eight days now will be published tomorrow, Thursday, December 18, 2008.

We received two non-tax-deductible gifts yesterday, Tuesday, December 16, 2008. The bills are relentless. We are treading water. We need your help. Yet another very late hour, later than I would have liked because I found, when searching for the full, unabridged text of an apostate sermon that will be the subject of the next article on this site, most likely tomorrow, December 17, 2008 (the day that the "O" antiphons begin in the Church's Divine Office), a report of an address that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI gave at the Italian Embassy to the Holy See yesterday, Monday, December 15, 2008. The address, which was yet another endorsement of the condemned thesis of the "separation of Church and State," must be described for what it is: Valuing Affronts to Christ the King. Please do read through the entire article to contrast Ratzinger/Benedict's endorsement of the "separation of Church and State" with the consistent teaching of the Catholic Church against this lie of the devil that emanated from Martin Luther and was propagated with zeal by the lodges of Judeo-Masonry. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

There is also a brief article about the shoes thrown at President George Walker Bush by an Iraqi television journalist, When Shoes Say More Than Words. Catholics do not throw shoes at moral monsters who are responsible for the deaths of thousands upon thousands of innocent human beings. We pray for their conversion as we denounce their crimes against God and man.

As noted above, the next article on this site should appear tomorrow, Wednesday, December 17, 2008. The article that is being held in abeyance will be posted when its second reviewer gets back to me with his comments.

Finally, in a word: Donations. We do need to hear from more of you who have never given to us before, have the means to be of assistance and are supportive of the work of this site. Thank you.

Only Themselves to Blame

Another late hour. Brevity (I know, I know, what's that?) is in order.

Although those conciliar "bishops" who have spoken out forcefully against passage by the incoming 111th Congress of the long-dormant "Freedom of Choice Act" that has languished in Congress after Congress for twenty-five years and did not even make it out of committee in 1993 at a time Democrats controlled both Houses of Congress and there were rapid pro-aborts as President and Vice President (chaps named Clinton and Gore, remember them?) are certainly well-intentioned, they fail to understand that they have only themselves to blame for the election of Barack Hussein Obama and an increased possibility of the passage of this hideous bill. Pro-abortion politicians have been indemnified for decades now by one conciliar "bishop" after another. Fifty-four percent of Catholics voted for the completely pro-abortion Obama (as opposed to the partly pro-abortion John Sidney McCain III) as they have been taught from the pulpit and in conciliar colleges and universities that the slicing and dicing of little babies is but "one" of many issues for them to consider when they engage in the Judeo-Masonic farce called voting in our pluralist nation of naturalism.

Alas, the conciliar "bishops" find themselves in a trap into which their Americanist predecessors in the Catholic Church in the United States of America in the Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries had fallen, a trap that continues to convince Catholics all across the ecclesiastical divide that our social problems can be arrested, if not resolved, by advertence to a political system that is founded on a rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by the true Church. Such a rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King leads inevitably to the triumph of brute majoritarian sentiment, imposed by those who hold the levers of civil power or by means of various plebiscites. The ever-shifting sands of "popular sovereignty" produce a situation where nothing in public policy or law is ever really "settled" until it is "settled" to the outermost limits of naturalism. The only antidote to this madness is Catholicism. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

As I noted two days ago in Reparation, I am asking that this day, the Octave Day of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, be a day of reparation for the offenses given to her under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe by a well-known purveyor of filth. Yes, an Octave Day is a day of rejoicing. I know that. At the very least, however, I believe that we could offer to Our Lady on this her feast day an extra set of mysteries of her Most Holy Rosary and to engage in some form of fasting that we offer through her Immaculate Heart to the Most Sacred Heart of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you for any consideration that you can give to this request!

Regardless of the status of the article that I am holding in abeyance, there should be another article posted on this site tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16, 2008. (And, yes, the domain name did expire yesterday morning. I had received no notification of this expiration. In God's Holy Providence, however, I discovered the problem after Mass and paid the ransom to keep the site online. I apologize for any inconvenience.)

It would also be nice to hear from more of you (at least more of you who don't want to insult me!) in response to our recent Donations letter.

Finally, I have been informed that Father Joseph Greenwell of the Society of Saint Pius V is in critical condition with a blood clot in one of his lungs. We have met Father Greenwell and have had the pleasure of dining with him on several occasions, most recently with a number of others in January of 2007 at The Milleridge Inn in Jericho, New York. Please join us as we pray for his complete recovery as he offers up his suffering to God through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. Saint Joseph, pray for Father Greenwell.

From One Lodge to Another

The conciliar Vatican's "permanent observer" to the United Masonic Nations Organization, "Archbishop" Celestino Migliore, delivered an address to this den of One World Governance iniquity on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, that could have been delivered by the Grand Master of any Masonic lodge. There were no references in "Archbishop" Migiliore's address to the "Creator," none at all to "God" or to the Divine Redeemer, the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity made Man in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. References to Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary, to the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart as the fruit of the fulfilment of her Fatima Message? Not in front of fellow lodge members! No, the scions of the lodge of the One World Church that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism are of one mind with the scions of the lodge that is the movement of One World Governance symbolized by the United Masonic Nations Organization. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

There will be a new article on this site tomorrow, Monday, December 15, 2008, or Tuesday, December 16, 2008, independent of the fate of the article that has been out for review for several days now. (You freeloaders out there are getting your money's worth! Smile! I'm only joking, well, maybe partly joking. Viva Cristo Rey!)

Republished: An Immovable Foe of Religious Liberty

Saint Lucy was induced to worship the idols when a suitor, who was angered by her rejection of him after she had given away her riches to the poor, betrayed her as Christian to the pagan officials of the Roman Empire in Syracuse, Sicily at the beginning of the Fourth Century A.D., in the year 304 A.D. Saint Lucy could have saved her life if only she worshiped the idols. Unlike the conciliar "pontiffs," men who have esteemed the symbols of various and sundry false religions, with their own consecrated hands, Saint Lucy refused to do so and was immovable when taken to a house of sin. She refused even to look upon the vice that was before her. May this immovable foe of religious liberty help us to see more clearly with the eyes of our immortal souls that the Catholic Church cannot be in the least responsible for the abominations and blasphemies and sacrileges and defections from the Faith perpetrated by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. May Saint Lucy, a model of purity and gentleness and grace and courage, help us to see so clearly that we flee to the catacombs where the Faith is protected by true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its false and blaspheming"shepherds."

Reparation

Reparation is what we must make for our own sins and those of the whole world, including an unspeakable act against Our Lady of Guadalupe that came to my attention late last evening. This act against Our Lady, perpetrated by purveyors of smut and degradation, demands our immediate acts of reparation. I,  a terrible sinner who is grateful for being kept alive thus far to continue to make reparation for my many sins, am proposing that we make Monday, December 15, 2008, the Octave Day of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a day of reparation as we pray at least one extra set of mysteries of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary and engage in some voluntary acts of fasting. This is just a suggestion. As detailed in this article, however, the sins of Modernity in the world and the sins of Modernism's "reconciliation" with the false premises of Modernity require us to make as much reparation as we can in the wake of offenses given to the Mother of God, Mary our Immaculate Queen, who made possible our salvation by her perfect fiat to the Will of God the Father at the Annunciation. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

I call your attention also to a sermon that His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan gave at the 11:25 a.m. High Mass in the presence of the children of Saint Gertrude the Great Academy on the Feast of Pope Saint Damasus I, St. Damasus To The Children.

Obviously, this is a day that is very important in my own household. Saint Lucy is the Baptismal patron of my dear wife Sharon and of our thoroughly Catholic daughter, Lucy Mary Therese Norma Droleskey. Please remember them today in your prayers. We want to thank His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P., for offering Holy Mass this morning for our daughter. Our daughter is very blessed to have two true bishops offer Mass for her!

I ask your prayers also for the repose of the soul of the late Father Salvatore V. Franco, who died on this day six years ago now. Father Franco, who suffered from serious heart problems but died of a form of leukemia that he only found out he had weeks before he died, was good enough to offer Sharon and the newborn Lucy and me refuge in his kitchen in Westbury, Long Island, New York, in April of 2002 as he offered the Immemorial Mass of Tradition for us each weekday. Although I had long before abandoned the Novus Ordo service on Sundays and moved in "indult" circles, we made the decision to abandon all putative "offerings" of this travesty during the week when Father Franco took ill before he died. Father Franco, who was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn in 1953, had a heart attack in 1963 at the age of thirty-seven, an act of God's Divine Mercy that kept him from being immersed in parish life as the conciliar revolution proceeded apace. Father Franco kept active, however, offering Mass and helping souls. We will be forever grateful to him for providing us with the refuge that he did after Lucy's birth. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Finally, His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan has informed me of the death of a longtime parishioner of Saint Clare of Assisi Church in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Jack Heath, who is described by His Excellency as a "most loyal and true Catholic." Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Jack Heath. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Republished: The Americas Belong to Our Lady

Our Blessed Mother gave us two great miracles on this day 477 years ago. Acceding to the demand of Apostolic Administrator [later Bishop] Fray Juan de Zumarraga, the Mother of God saw to it that Castilian roses grew atop Tepeyac Hill so that her little "Juanito," Juan Diego, a fifty-five year-old widower to whom she had first appeared on December 9, 1531, could provide proof that it was she who had made the request of Fray de Zumarraga to built a shrine in her honor on the hill where she appeared. The administrator's guards, who had treated Juan Diego with such cruelty and even racism, spied those roses and tried to grab them out of Juan's tilma as he waited to see Fray de Zumarraga. The roses, quite miraculously, disappeared every time the guards sought to snatch them away from Juan Diego.

Those Castilian roses were presented by Juan Diego to Fray Juan de Zumarraga, who knelt before the Indian convert to the Faith as he gazed upon the miraculous image that Juanito did not know was there: the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who was clearly expecting the Baby Jesus. Remember, this was Advent in the year 1531, just forty-nine years after Christopher Columbus first set foot on the Island of San Salvador to implant the Cross of the Divine Redeemer in this hemisphere for the first time since Saint Brendan the Navigator had done so in the First Millennium.

Our Lady's miraculous image showing her expecting the Baby Jesus is quite symbolic of the expectant desire she had then--and has now--for the conversion of the peoples of the Americas to the true Faith, that each person and each nation be born anew as they submit themselves to Christ the King through His Catholic Church. Over nine million indigenous people converted to the true Faith within a short time following her apparition to Juan Diego on this day 477 years ago, almost person for person the number of people lost to the Faith as a result of the Protestant Revolt in Europe. It was almost as though God was saying to those who left, "Fine. I will have My Mother get new souls to populate Holy Mother Church and hence Heaven itself."

The Americas were indeed converted to Catholicism, which is why the devil had to attack the Faith in Latin America with such ferocity by means of the Masonic revolutionaries who were supported in both philosophical and monetary terms by the lodges in the nascent Untied States of America. Great crimes were committed against Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother as a result. These crimes continue to this day, which is, of course, one of the reasons that Saint Michael the Archangel appeared with Our Lady as she spoke to Juan Diego. Our Lady has crushed the head of the serpent with her heel and Saint Michael the Archangel is our helper to crush him in our own lives and in the Americas where he reigns, albeit temporarily, in civil government and in popular culture.

May we rely upon the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Empress and Patroness of the Americas, to help us to be courageous enough to plant seeds for the conversion of the Americas, including the United States of America, to the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by the Catholic Church. Perhaps an extra Rosary today on this glorious feast day will help us to be more faithful and more courageous in our promotion of the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Viva Cristo Rey!

Mr. Gerry Keaveney, the webmaster of Traditional Catholic Sermons, has sent me a link to a sermon given by Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., as a complement to today's articles. It is a masterpiece. Please listen to it and profit from it: TheDivineMessageOfGuadalupe.mp3.

It Pays to be Ignorant

The original article for today's posting deals with the overwhelming level of ignorance that exists in the United States of America at this time. There is ignorance of First and Last Things and ignorance of the basic facts of history and even current events that have happened contemporaneously in our own lives. Such ignorance is no impediment to being elected to high office. Witness some of the remarks that outgoing President George Walker Bush gave to the American Broadcasting Company's Cynthia McFadden in an interview on Nightline on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Monday, December 8, 2008. Bush is not alone in his ignorance. His successor, Barack Hussein Obama, knows as little of true Christianity as he, Bush, does. Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., Nancy Pelosi, John Sidney McCain III, and Sarah Heath Palin have also demonstrated that they could have been contestants on the old radio and television game show, It Pays to be Ignorant. We better not be ignorant, however, of the fact that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order and that it is impossible to please God unless we go to Him through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.

A blessed Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe to you all!

There will be a republished article tomorrow, December 13, 2008, and possibly an original posting as well. I have received approval from His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P., on an article, written on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, that I have sent out for review and analysis. I am, however, going to "sit" on the article until I secure yet another review.

Finally, I ask your prayers today for the conversion of a relative of mine who turns fifty-five years of age today and has been out of the Faith since fourth grade. I am in contact with this relative only by means of my daily prayers. I do ask, however, that you join me in these prayers, especially to Our Lady of Guadalupe, for his conversion back to the Faith.

Meet George Jetson

The hour is again late. I had begun to format this article late on the evening of December 9, 2008, before running out of steam to complete it. The thought occurred to me of just publishing the two drawings that are featured at the beginning of the article, leaving the text for later. I squelched the thought, choosing to write an article about the real-life cartoon figure named Rod Blagojevich, who is steeped in a mess of his own making in a naturalistic political system that puts a premium on winning and self-aggrandizement at all costs. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

Also, I would like to call your attention to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's sermon delivered on the Feast of the The Immaculate Conception. Please let your friends and relatives, including those who no longer speak to you, know about this magnificent sermon.

There is an article, written on the evening of December 9, 2008, that is out for review and analysis at this time. It will be posted only after I have received approval from those who are reviewing it.

Another original article and a republished article should appear tomorrow, Friday, December 12, 2008, the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Madness Is Easy to Define

This is a brief article that reiterates many points made on this site repeatedly. On the verge of a bout with some kind of virus, I will describe this brief article briefly: naturalism is easy to define as it is madness. Simple enough? Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Time will be spent today drafting an article that will be sent out for review and comment before posting. There should be a new article on this site on Thursday, December 11, 2008, the Feast of Pope Saint Damasus. (Please also review the articles that have been posted in the past few days in the event that you have missed them.)

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

Spotless Blessed Mother, Spotless Mother Church

"I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION." Those words, uttered by the Mother of God herself to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes, France, on March 25, 1858, was a Heavenly ratification of the solemn, infallible proclamation of the doctrine of her Immaculate Conception by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854, in the Bull Ineffabilis Deus. "I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION."

Our Lady was conceived in the womb of her holy mother, Good Saint Anne, without any stain of Original or Actual Sin in anticipation of the merits that would be won by her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the wood of the Holy Cross. She, the Singular Vessel of Devotion, had the perfect human nature of Adam and Eve before their Fall from Grace in the Garden of Eden. It is important, therefore, to get the doctrine of Original Sin right in order to understand the great miracle worked by God in the soul of the fairest flower of our race, Our Lady, from the very first moment of her Immaculate Conception. To get anything about the doctrine of Original Sin wrong  leads to the efforts on the part of Modernists to deconstruct the doctrinal definitions of Original Sin and of the Immaculate Conception.

Alas, the Catholic Church, our Holy Mother on earth, our Mater and Magister, is as spotless as the Immaculate Blessed Virgin Mary. Holy Mother Church does not deconstruct infallible dogmatic definitions. Holy Mother Church cannot do so, which is why we need to pray to Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces and our Immaculate Queen, to help us to cleave to true bishops and true priests in the catacombs who make no concessions to the counterfeit church of conciliarism that has promulgated an abominable "liturgy" and whose officials feel feel to "reinterpret" dogmatic truths according to Modernist propositions that have been condemned by the authority of our spotless Mother on earth, Holy Mother Church. (This is, most unexpectedly, a freshly minted article, although it incorporates a few quotes from Saint Alphonsus de Liguori used in an older article.)

Mindful of the effects of our own sins on our immortal souls and of our need to make reparation for them to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, may we make the Secret prayer for today's Holy Mass our own

Receive the saving Victim we offer to Thee, O Lord, on the solemn feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: and grant that, as we confess that by Thy prevenient grace she was kept free from every stain of sin; so, by her intercession, we may be delivered from all our offenses. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God.

A blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.

The next original article on this site should appear on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, although it is possible that there might be one tomorrow, December 9, 2008. Keep checking.

Please do listen to His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan's sermon, Occasions of Sin.

December 7 Article

Right This Way, Mr. Devil

The hour is very late. All I have the time or the strength to write about this new article is that it deals with the conciliar Vatican's opposition to a proposed moratorium on the building of new mosques in Italy. Saint Ambrose, whose feast is commemorated on this Second Sunday of Advent, fought to drive falsehoods out of Milan, where today's Italian civil authorities have arrested two Mohammedans in a mosque as terrorist suspects. Saint Ambrose would never have abided a mosque in his city. Alas, that is just one of the many differences between Catholicism and conciliarism. The conciliar church invites the devil and his minions into nations where they were driven out by Catholic bishops and priests in the past ! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Saint Ambrose, pray for us.

There will be a republished article tomorrow on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The next original article may have to wait until Wednesday in order for me to finish writing it and then to send it out for review and analysis before posting.

We thank those who have responded thus far to our Donations letter and ask that more readers who support the work of this site and have the means to be of assistance (and who have never given before) will consider making a non-tax-deductible financial gift to us.

Remember also that there is "live streaming" of the 9:00 a.m., Eastern time, High Mass at Saint Gertrude the Great Church on Sundays and at 11:25 a.m. on school days (I imagine the Holy Day High Mass tomorrow will be at 9:00 a.m.), St. Gertrude the Great. Watch if you can.

Remembering Us When

Anyone who has grown in his belief in and practice of the Faith while his closest relatives and friends remain immersed in unbelief and/or are minimalist in their own observance of the Faith as they mirror the falsehoods of the world knows the sting of rebukes that will come his way. "I remember when you weren't so 'holy.'" "I remember when you joined in our jokes and good times." I remember when you didn't go to Mass all time." "You are who to tell me to change? "You are the one who's got a 'problem,' not me." These and other barbs are designed to "bring us back down to earth," to "help" us to overcome the "madness" of a rejection of worldly ways and/or our rejection of everything to do with conciliarism and its false shepherds.

Motivated by the examples of numerous saints who suffered much from the hands of their own relatives and friends, including Saint Barbara, whose feast was commemorated two days ago, we must rise above the criticism and endure the sufferings from our closest relatives and friends as part of the price we must pay in reparation for our sins and those of the whole world. We must recognize that the apostasies of the present moment require us to be steadfast in the Faith and to refuse to be silent in the face of blasphemy and sacrilege and heresy and abomination. This will cost us much in our families. This may even cost us much in our careers. The saints have endured far worse for the love of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and with the help offered by His Blessed Mother, who was conceived without stain of Original and Actual Sin. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Saint Nicholas of Myra, pray for us. Saint Barbara, pray for us.

One reader has written to express a concern about the praise I offered the late Carlos Abascal Carranza's 1973 legal thesis in defense of the Social Reign of Christ the King, a defense that included a clear repudiation of Dignitatis Humanae. Let me post here a variation of a paragraph that I inserted in brackets into the main text of Little Flickers of Christendom:

My discussion in support of the late Carlos Abascal Carranza's work in behalf of the Social Reign of Christ the King is not to indemnify any association that he might have maintained with the false sect that is the counterfeit church of conciliarism. That is for God alone to judge. It is clear, however, that Mr. Abascal Carranza was at odds with conciliarism's apostate view of Church-State relations and defended most publicly the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church concerning the Social Reign of Christ the King.

It took me long enough to see the truth of our ecclesiastical situation. And I would like to think that my own work in behalf of the Social Reign of Christ the King in the two decades before I did come to recognize that those who defect from the Faith cannot hold ecclesiastical office legitimately was not invalidated entirely because of my blindness. It would be wrong, I believe, to denigrate Mr. Abascal Carranza's work validating the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church because he might not have seen the truth of the ecclesiastical situation before he died. Mr. Abascal Carranza's 1973 legal thesis and the speech that he gave a week before he died were both thoroughly Catholic, which is why I believed his remarks were worthy of commendation.

We must remember that very few Catholics have come to the conclusion that those who defect from the Faith cannot hold ecclesiastical office legitimately. None of us who have come to this conclusion, which is in accord with the canonical doctrine of the Catholic Church, is one bit better than anyone else. And very few of us (and certainly not this writer) who have come to this conclusion are without our blindnesses at this time that prevent us from seeing even more of the truth of our present situation than others whose souls are purer and have been refined by long years of prayer, penance, fasting, mortifications and humiliations that have been offered up to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

It is this spirit, therefore, that I do make reference now and again to articles written by those who are either opposed to sedevacantism (such as Mr. James Larson and, in the case of today's article, Dr. Marian T. Horvat) or who have not yet come to the conclusion that even the late Mario Francesco "Cardinal" Pompedda admitted in February of 2005 was indeed the doctrine of the Church:

"It is true that the canonical doctrine states that the see would be vacant in the case of heresy. ... But in regard to all else, I think what is applicable is what judgment regulates human acts. And the act of will, namely a resignation or capacity to govern or not govern, is a human act." (Cardinal Says Pope Could Govern Even If Unable to Speak,  Zenit, February 8, 2005.)

I will seek counsel to determine if I am in error in the matter of making reference to the work of anti-sedevacantist writers and/or of referencing the work of those, such as the late Mr. Carlos Abascal Carranza, who defended the Social Reign of Christ the King in the midst of the conciliar revolution. I do try, however, to add disclaimers to these references while at the same time recognizing that Catholicism is Catholicism and that it would be wrong, I believe, to dismiss en toto the good work of others even as they might reject--and sometimes bitterly so--and refuse even to acknowledge our own work. So what? Others prayed for me to come the logical conclusion concerning our ecclesiastical situation and to flee from the false church once and for all while referencing my work now and again. This is all that I am doing at the present time.

As I have noted so many times in the past, my own work, for instance, is NOT the standard of Catholicism. I hope that I am giving God honor and glory in my work and that I am helping souls to see the world more clearly through the eyes of the true Faith. As is most evident, however, from the very few number of people who read this site--and the relatively large percentage of those few who are critics of its work (!), I expect no one to consider my articles an infallible source of truth (the arguments made within the text of my articles stand or fall on their merits or demerits according to the truths of the faith, not on my having posited them) and it has not been my practice to judge the work of others on the basis of whether they agree with my own work, which is monitored by those who know far more than I do and whose advice I take seriously when it is offered to me.

I hope that I have made myself clear on this matter. I will correct my policy if I am told that I am in error in this regard.

Another article should appear tomorrow, the Second Sunday of Advent. A republished article will appear on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Sunday.

Little Flickers of Christendom

The work of Christ or Chaos, both as a printed journal (1996-2003) and as a website (2004 to the present), has been to promote the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Many of the articles on this site have been criticized by Catholics across the ecclesiastical divide for their alleged "impracticality," for their being "idealistic," for their being out of conformity with the "current" teaching of the "church." Naturalists, of course, reject my articles on the Social Reign of Christ the King because they hate the concept of Christendom and are quite contend to see the "reign of man" continue unabated. As has been noted so frequently, this work is done for the honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity without regard for results, realizing that there is indeed Nothing Which They [the naturalists] Can Understand.

Every once in a while, however, God lets us know that there are defenders of His Sovereignty over all men and all nations in the midst of the world of pragmatic politics right here in the Americas. One of these defenders, the former Minister of the Interior of the United Mexican States, Carlos Abascal Carranza, had written a thesis for his law degree in 1973 defending the Social Reign of Christ the King. Another was, of course, the great martyr for the Social Reign of Christ the King in Ecuador, Gabriel Garcia Moreno, who kept reminding his adversaries that "GOD DOES NOT DIE!" Father Miguel Augustin Pro, S.J., cried out "Viva Cristo Rey!" before his own martyrdom on November 23, 1927. We must be inspired by these defenders of the Social Reign of Christ the King to implore Our Lady to send us the graces to do the same in our own day without making any concessions at all to the errors of Modernity in the world or Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.

Yes, I am very much aware that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has given another "general audience" address, focusing this time on his view of Original Sin. This is not a new theme for the false "pontiff." He has done so in In the Beginning…A Catholic Understanding of the Story of Creation and the Fall, published in 1995. Although I will write a brief commentary on this latest effort to "rethink" Catholic doctrine without any reference to the Council of Trent's binding dogmatic decrees, suffice it for the moment to refer to you to Mr. James Larson's analysis of Ratzinger/Benedict's views on Original Sin, Article 5: The Point of Departure.

There might be another original article on this site later today, December 5, 2008, or by tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, 2008, the Feast of Saint Nicholas. Events, including our little Chase's recuperation from surgery on the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier, precluded the completion of the current article until now.

Without Regard for Results

There is quite a contrast between the missionary work of the likes of Saint Francis Xavier, who sought with urgency the unconditional conversion of non-Catholics to the true Faith and sought to stamp out the worship of the demons under the guises of various false religions, and the refusal of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to seek converts with urgency and the very esteem paid to the symbols of false religions by the conciliar "pontiffs" and their "bishops."  We must pray to Saint Francis Xavier, one of the first members of the Society of Jesus, to enlist the aid of the Mother of God as he did throughout his missionary career so that we can plant a few seeds of our own for the conversion of men and nations to the Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no order in the souls of men or in the lives of nations. Saint Francis Xavier conducted his missionary work without looking for results, trusting in God's Holy Providence and the help offered by the Mother of God. So must we. Our Lady of Montserrat, pray for us. Saint Francis Xavier, pray for us. Saint Ignatius Loyola, pray for us.

Finally, I commend to your attention Father Anthony Cekada's summary of the position paper he wrote last year concerning the question: Should I Assist at a Mass that Names Benedict XVI in the Canon?  Please do read Father Cekada's summary and listen once again to His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan's sermon on the same subject, Why Do We Say No To The “Una Cum” Masses. We can make no concessions to apostates who commit sacrileges and blasphemies that mock the work of Saint Francis Xavier and the very martyrs of the Church who refused to offer even one grain of incense to esteem false gods and their false religions.

"Nothing Which They Can Understand"

To be hated for defending and explicating the Social Reign of Christ the King is a great privilege, a great opportunity to make reparation for one's sins. There are many ways by which we can defend and explicate the Social Reign of Christ the King, starting in our own homes, consecrated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as we seek, despite our sins and shortcomings, to establish a replica of Christendom consecrated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, wherein our thoughts and words and actions are undertaken solely with a view to the greater honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity as we pursue our Last End as members of His true Church. We can defend and explicate the Social Reign of Christ the King by how we dress and how we conduct ourselves. We can defend and explicate the Social Reign of Christ the King by refusing to participate in the farces of naturalism. Most of all, however, we can defend and explicate the Social Reign of Christ the King by the time that we spend before His Real Presence in prayer and by praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit.

Yes, we will be hated by worldlings, perhaps from even within the ranks of our own families, for defending the Social Reign of Christ the King and refusing to compromise with the world. So what? Our King and Redeemer was hated and harried for proclaiming Himself to be Who He is: the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity made Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb. We must pray for those who calumniate us for our defense of the Social Reign of Christ the King. We must consider it a privilege to suffer for Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as we offer Him whatever merit we might earn for defending Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. The only thing that matters is that we die in a state of Sanctifying Grace. It is only the devil himself who wants to discourage us and intimidate us into silence about the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King as the fruit of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Saint Bibiana, pray for us.

The travelogue is still in the process of being written. The next article to appear on this site should be posted tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier. It will contrast the missionary work of Saint Francis Xavier, which included the destruction of the demonic symbols of pagan worship, with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's esteeming of these very same symbols. It remains a mystery to me why so many "conservative" Catholics in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism believe that they can "read" Catholicism into the words of an apostle of the New Theology, Ratzinger/Benedict, who has shown himself to be contemptuous of the First Commandment's strict prohibition against any esteem being paid to the symbols or beliefs of false religions. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Finally, I have received an e-mail announcement from Mrs. Randy Engel, the Founder and Director of the United States Coalition for Life. The archives of her organization, which include much important material documenting the agenda of the anti-life movement, are now open for public inspection and review at www.uscl.info. Please make use of this valuable resource and research tool.

Revised: A Champion for All Ages

Today is the transferred Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle. It is also the 427th anniversary of the martyrdom of Blessed Edmund Campion, S.J. Blessed Edmund Campion did not believe in false ecumenism. He wanted reclaim England, which had been a thoroughly Catholic nation for nearly a thousand years, for the true Faith. Father Campion, a member of the Society of Jesus, was a true patriot of his beloved country. He loved God and His Holy Church first and foremost, recognizing that the common temporal good of England would suffer if this land were to remain separated from the Holy See indefinitely. Behold the results in England today as paganism and even Mohammedanism have taken hold and as the counterfeit church of conciliarism treats the Anglican sect as a legitimate "expression" of Christianity. Blessed Edmund Campion, pray for the conversion of England. Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for the conversion of Russia and Scotland.

A new Donations letter has been posted. We really need your help. We will be "belly up" by the end of this current week as we pay bills that are due now. Thank you for any non-tax-deductible financial gifts that you can make to us.

The next original article on this site will appear tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Bibiana, or Wednesday, the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier.

Another Fine Mess

One conciliar "bishop" admits that a hospital in his diocese has performed sterilizations on women over the course of the past eight years. A conciliar "cardinal" "congratulates President-elect Barack Hussein Obama, stating that all people of "good will" want to help this unreconstructed supporter of abortion achieve his goals (including the "Freedom of Choice Act" and his statism?). A Protestant "minister" goes on national television to explain a sign that he had posted about Obama, only to have his interview contradict him by quoting from Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II and the Fuller Brush Man himself, Billy Graham. What a fine mess, to paraphrase the late Oliver Norvell Hardy, we have gotten ourselves into as a result of the errors let loose by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for us.

The Christmas Novena, which is recited fifteen times daily, begins today and runs through Christmas Eve:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.  In that hour vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.

The Novena to the Immaculate Conception starts today. Its text is found at the end of Anticipating Advent.

A few people from the peanut gallery have written to me to try to throw some towels in the direction of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. One has tried to protest that Ratzinger/Benedict's recent reference that one cannot have Faith without Charity was really compatible with the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas. This is very interesting when one considers that Ratzinger/Benedict does not view the Faith through Scholasticism but through the lens of the condemned New Theology. Ratzinger/Benedict has a view of "faith" that is incompatible with Catholicism and that excludes the six dispositions that must be present in a soul for it to be in a state of Justification.

This is what James Larson, who is very much opposed to sedevacantism, wrote about Ratzinger's view of Faith as found in the latter's Faith and the Future:

Having apparently shredded the objective content (defined dogmas) of the faith, Fr. Ratzinger goes on to tell us that there was one thing however which August Comte failed to understand or foresee: namely, that the world of science would also prove to be oppressive, and that man would continue "yearning for faith." Modern man, now "a prisoner of his own methods" [and an intellectual prisoner of reductive scientific knowledge], longs for a form of faith which will not contradict science, but at the same time will liberate him from the oppressive reductionism of science. We might say that Joseph Ratzinger has spent his entire adult life trying to supply an answer to this yearning, and that his agenda of "essentialization" is entirely devoted to this goal.

His answer, in Faith and the Future, runs as follows:

"The basic form of Christian faith is not: I believe something [particular content or doctrine], but I believe you. Faith is a disclosure of reality that is granted only to him who trusts, loves, and acts as a human being; and as such it is not a derivative of knowledge, but is sui generis, like knowledge, although it is indeed more basic and more central to our authentically human nature than knowledge is.

"This insight has important consequences; and these can be liberating, if taken seriously. For this means that faith is not primarily a colossal edifice of numerous supernatural facts [I believe that we can only understand this demeaning phrase to refer to the Deposit of Faith], standing like a curious second order of knowledge alongside the realm of science, but an assent to God who gives us hope and confidence. Obviously this assent to God is not without content: it is confidence in the fact that he has revealed himself in Christ and that we may now live safe in the assurance that God is like Jesus of Nazareth, in the certainty, that is, that God is looking after the world – and me in it. We will have to consider this definition of content more closely in the next chapter. It is already clear, however, that the content is not comparable with a system of knowledge, but represents the form of our trust." ( p. 20-21).

In other words, the real content of our Faith is not to be identified with the Deposit of Faith. Joseph Ratzinger is absolutely emphatic on this point which is the cornerstone of his new approach to the Faith:

"Let us repeat: at its core faith is not a system of knowledge, but trust. Christian faith is: 'the discovery of a You…." (Ibid, p.24)

Further, this "discovery of a You" can be fully redemptive without requiring assent to the "content" (dogmas) of the faith:

"A man remains a Christian as long as he makes the effort to give the central assent, as long as he tries to utter the fundamental Yes of trust, even if he is unable to fit in or resolve many of the details [which, of course, are constituted by the Church's infallible teachings on faith and morals]….As long as this core remains in place, a man is living by faith, even if for the moment he finds many of the details of faith obscure and impracticable [this, of course, means that he cannot or will not practice them]." (Ibid, p. 24-25) ( (James Larson, Article 12: The Quintessential Evolutionist.)

One must read Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's comments about "Faith" and "Charity" in light of the roadmap that he has provided us in his writings, not one of which he has abjured. He does not believe that it is necessary for a soul to give full assent to everything contained in the Deposit of Faith to be in a state of Justification, thereby making a mockery of true Charity in the soul, which is founded on a love for God as He has revealed Himself to us through His true Church without one iota of dissent. Anyone who thinks that the view of Faith expressed by Joseph Ratzinger in Faith and the Future is compatible with the six dispositions that the Council of Trent declared solemnly, infallibly to be necessary for a soul to be in a state of Justification is deluding himself (and possibly others) very, very badly, which is why I went to such lengths in Attempting to Coerce Perjury, which has been read by a grand total of sixty people thus far, to demonstrate how Ratzinger/Benedict views the terms of the Faith and distorts them according to the paradigms offered by the likes of Henri de Lubac and Hans Urs von Balthasar. Ratzinger/Benedict rejects Scholasticism, and anyone who ignores this fact and tries to project Thomism into his writing is doing the cause of truth a grave injustice.

There will be a lull in original articles for a few days. Forty-four original articles have been written in the past sixty-one days. It's time to take a little breather as I complete the next installment in the travelogue. There should be a republished article in honor of Blessed Edmond Campion posted tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle. Just keep checking for the next original article, remembering also that there have been several articles in the past few days that you might have missed as a result of the Thanksgiving weekend. A new donations letter will also be posted at some point in the next few days. We really do need your help on a regular basis.

Finally, we want to express our warmest congratulations to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan today on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of his episcopal consecration at the hands of His Excellency Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas of the Congregation of  Mary Immaculate Queen. Congratulations, Bishop Dolan, and thank you for all that you do for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal. Thank you for all that you have done for us! We are very, very grateful.

On the Last Day of the Year

We are in the final few hours of the liturgical year. The season of Advent, which lasts for twenty-five days this year, begins with First Vespers for the First Sunday of Advent this evening (see the revised and republished Anticipating Advent). We must prepare ourselves well for to commemorate Our Lord's First Coming in Bethlehem on Christmas Day by preparing to receive Him worthily each day by His coming us in Holy Communion, making sure to make our full and integral Confession of our sins on a weekly basis as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit.

On the Last Day of the Year discusses the fact that we must withdraw from the world during this Advent as we permit the graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, the Mediatrix of All Graces, to help us to see the world more and more clearly each day through the eyes of the true Faith. A believing Catholic is not going to be caught in any stampede at a Wal-Mart that kills a night watchman. A believing Catholic is not going to be giving "thanks" for "bringing" God "back" to Europe. A believing Catholic seeks to Catholicize every moment of his life, which is why it is so important for us to cleave to true bishops and true priests in the Catholic catacombs who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its false shepherds. Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for us. Saint Saturninus, pray for us.

There should be another article tomorrow, the First Sunday of Advent, November 30, 2008.

Attempting to Coerce Perjury

There are times when dissecting the Modernist mind of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is very easy. The currently reigning false "pontiff" has made his Modernist view of the nature of dogmatic truth, a view condemned by the solemn authority of the [First] Vatican Council, eminently clear. There are other times when the fuzziness and murkiness of Ratzinger/Benedict's New Theology confuse large numbers of Catholics, convincing many of them that something that is actually contrary of the Faith is consonant with It. This is why it is necessary to understand that one of the essences of the the New Theology, whose tenets were condemned by Pope Pius XII in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950, is to scrape away the "filter" provided by Scholasticism's "distortions" of Sacred Scripture and the Fathers of the Church in order to "reconcile" various Protestant and Orthodox heresies with the Catholic Faith.

Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's two most recent "general audience" addresses (November 19 and 26, 2008) have attempted to discuss the Doctrine of Justification without once mentioning the solemn decrees of the Council of Trent. Ratzinger/Benedict has sought to demonstrate various points in these allocutions, including that Martin Luther's view of "justification by faith alone" is true if "faith is not opposed to charity."  Ratzinger/Benedict has also noted that there is no "conflict" between the "theology" of Saint Paul and that of Saint James the Lesser concerning the relationship between Faith and good works without even explaining, as someone trained in Scholasticism would, that it is impossible for any "conflict" to exist between the epistles of Saint Paul and the epistle of Saint James as both were written under the inspiration of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, Who cannot contradict Himself. The Catholic Church has spoken solemnly on this matter. There is no need to "reinvent" the wheel unless one wants to contend that the Council of Trent "misunderstood" Luther, which is, after all the point of the "Joint Declaration on Justification" that was made by the conciliarists and the Lutherans in 1999.

This article has been reviewed by His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P.,, and His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan, both of whom have given their approval to its contents. His Excellency Bishop Donald A. Sanborn has offered a most cogent set of remarks pertaining to Ratzinger/Benedict's November 26, 2008, "general audience" address, remarks that have been placed in the body of the article. I thank Bishops McKenna and Dolan for reviewing the text of the article, and I thank Bishop Sanborn for his comments. Saint Catherine Laboure, pray for us.

Finally, I urge one and all, including the casual visitors to this site who glance at the home page before moving on to some other destination in cyberspace, to listen to His Excellency Bishop Dolan's sermon, Why Do We Say No To The “Una Cum” Masses, delivered on Sunday, November 23, 2008, and the sermon he delivered yesterday, The Conversion Of America Through Our Lady And Her Miraculous Medal. Both sermons are most edifying. We are very pleased to be here at Saint Gertrude the Great Church.

There should be another original article published on this site at some point tomorrow, November 29, 2008, the Vigil of the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle, which is transferred this year to Monday, December 1, 2008.

Yesterdays Evils, Today's Accepted Norms

What was accepted almost universally as objectively evil in one era can become, subjectively speaking, "accepted norms" in yet another era. This process of the gradual acceptance of one objective evil after another has been the inexorable result of the Protestant Revolution's overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King that made possible the rise of the naturalism of Judeo-Masonry and its religiously indifferentist civil state. A civil state that does not recognize the true Faith is powerless to discriminate justly against those cultural trends that violate God's eternal laws and thus harm the souls for whom He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross.

Thus has it been that one evil after another has advanced under cover of law and abroad in popular culture here in the "free" United States of America. "Rock music," for instance, which even the likes of Mitch Miller (who is still alive at the age of ninety-seven, by the way) criticized in the 1960s, has been "mainstreamed" and is accepted by most people, including most Catholics, as "harmless." It is nothing of the sort. It is from the devil and is designed of its nature to lead souls to Hell for all eternity, which is why L'Osservatore Romano's recent praise of the Beatles, who helped lead millions upon millions of young people into lives of drug addiction, immorality and nihilism, is simply representative of how the blithe acceptance of some evil that has "stood the test of time" has infected the mindset of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which, of course, accepts the abomination that is the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service (sometimes "offered" with "rock music"--and at "papal" "Masses) as nothing offensive to God at all.

In the midst of these aberrations and abominations, good readers, we must make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. We must also give thanks to the Most Blessed Trinity for being alive in these troubling times as it is indeed according to the ineffable plan of Divine Providence from all eternity that we would be alive in this era of apostasy and betrayal. The graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour's Most Precious Blood and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, the Mediatrix of All Graces, are sufficient for us to weather the storms of the moment as we make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world.

Every day is "thanksgiving day" for a Catholic. While we can certainly Catholicize a national day of thanksgiving in a pluralistic society where many millions upon millions of people are giving thanks to "God" at their dinner tables for the election of Barack Hussein Obama (and for the fact that surgical baby-killing remains "safe and legal" in this country), we must remember first and foremost that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the true Thanksgiving that is offered to the God the Father through His Co-Equal Son in Spirit and in Truth at the hands of a true bishop or a true priest. The word "Eucharist" means "Thanksgiving." May we give thanks every day for having been given Our Lord's Real Presence in Holy Communion and for being able to repose with Him in prayer before that same Real Presence.

Most especially, of course, on this Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, we want to make sure to express our thanks to God for having sent His Mother to us with so many helps to our salvation since the Age of Mary began with her apparition to Sister Catherine Laboure in the Convent of the Daughters of Charity at 140 Rue du Bac in Paris, France, on July 19 and November 27, 1830. Let us wear our blessed Miraculous Medals with confidence in Our Lady's ability to help us save our souls and to help Holy Mother Church to be restored to her former glory as a result of the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart as the fruit of the fulfillment of her Fatima Message.

A blessed Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal to you all!

Another article should appear tomorrow, Friday, November 28, 2008. The article that I wrote on Monday, November 24, 2008, on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's general audience address of Wednesday, November 19, 2008, is still being vetted. His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P., telephoned me yesterday with his own approval of the article. I am still awaiting additional comment before the article is posted. Thanks for your patience.

Unbent and Unaware

Christoph "Cardinal" Schonborn is unbent as a result of the criticism that has come his way following a Novus Ordo "youth Mass" in Austria on November 16, 2008. His spokesflack, a man named Erich Leitenberger, has issued a defiant statement defending Schonborn from those who claimed that the "Eucharistic bread" used in the "youth" travesty was invalid matter, something that is really a moot point as the "rite" itself is invalid. Spokesflack Leitenberger had nothing to say, at least not directly, about the balloons and "rock" "music" and strobe lights and applause during the "youth" travesty, save to report that no "liturgical specifications" were violated. This is, of course, a true statement as the use of balloons and "rock "music" and strobe lights and applause in the context of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service can indeed be justified by the language of the revolutionary instructions contained in the General Instruction to the Roman Missal. Neither Schonborn or his spokesflack is aware of how the Novus Ordo of its very abominable nature, no less the sacrileges engendered by it, is detestable in the sight of God. They would consider such talk as nothing less than absurd. We must make many acts of reparation for these offenses against the honor and majesty and glory of God. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John of the Cross, pray for us. Saint Chrysogonus, pray for.

Today will be given over to drafting my article on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's general audience address of last Wednesday, November 19, 2008, wherein he continued his series deconstructing the inspired writings of Saint Paul. This article will be sent out for vetting before it is posted. It will deal also with the letter that Ratzinger/Benedict sent to Marcello Pera, who has written a book critical of "inter-religious dialogue" in which the conciliar "pontiff" himself questions the utility of this "dialogue." This is indeed a "remarkable" development as Ratzinger/Benedict has praised "inter-religious" and "inter-cultural" dialogue endlessly, as was noted by his own spokesflack, Father Federico Lombardi, S.J., in The New York Times:

The Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said the pope’s comments seemed intended to draw interest to Mr. Pera’s book, not to cast doubt on the Vatican’s many continuing interreligious dialogues.

“He has a papacy known for religious dialogue; he went to a mosque, he’s been to synagogues,” Father Lombardi said. “This means that he thinks we can meet and talk to the others and have a positive relationship.” (Ratzinger/Benedict Questions Interfaith Dialogue.)

Just another day in the contradiction and paradox of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Barring a quick completion of the article that must be vetted before posting, the next original article on this site will appear on Wednesday, November 26, 2008.

Foggy Bottom's Bloody Tradition

Many people are gnashing their teeth and rending their garments over the fact that a thorough-going pro-abort, President-elect Barack Hussein Obama, is appointing, golly gee willickers, Mr. Wizard, pro-aborts to his incoming administration. This is not what one can call "news." It is amazing to find so many voices "alarmed" at the truly bad appointments Obama is making while these voices were absolutely silent as one pro-abort another was appointed by the "pro-life" President George Walker Bush to the upper echelons of his administration.

Indeed, there is a rather sick "tradition" at Foggy Bottom, the metonym for the United States Department of State, of pro-abortion, pro-population Secretaries of State. Just a little reminder and a reality check here, you see: Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is said to be Obama's choice for his Secretary of State (four years as Secretary of State, four years as Vice President thereafter with Joseph Biden moving to the State Department?), has much in common with past (and one current) Republican Secretaries of State William P. Rogers, Henry A. Kissinger, Lawrence Eagleburger, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice in that each supports the chemical assassination of children by means of contraception and each has supported the "right" of women to kill their children by surgical means. Saint Cecilia, pray for us. Pope Saint Clement I, pray for us. Saint Gertrude the Great, pray for us. Father Miguel Augustin Pro, pray for us.

There will be a brief article tomorrow, November 24, 2008. That article will not be the travelogue, I am afraid to tell you. (I have work to do reviewing Ratzinger/Benedict's continued deconstruction of the inspired writings of Saint Paul the Apostle.) That's just going to have to wait for a few days. I have a brief article to write to deal with Christoph "Cardinal" Schonborn's spokesman's "defense" of the outrageous "youth Mass" that took place last week in Austria. The spokesman focused on the unleavened nature of the baked bread and the fact that no particles of it broke off during the service, neither of which was the focus of my own They Continue to Caricature Themselves.

Schonborn's spokesman, Erich Leitenberger, seems to believe that sending balloons up to the rafters of a church and the use of "rock" music during what purports to be an offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass are acceptable in the eyes of God since such outrages have been "approved" by "church" authorities, proving once again just how bereft conciliarists are of the Faith as they are clueless about the solemnity and dignity and reverence with which Holy Mass must be offered. Alas, Holy Mass was not offered in Austria last week. A perverted stage-show was presented that offended God greatly and reaffirmed the souls of the young people in attendance in a view of the Faith and the Sacred Liturgy that would shock even the Arians of the Fourth Century A.D.  Could anyone imagine Pope Saint Clement I offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in such a manner? Pope Saint Pius X? Pope Pius XII?

We continue to need your non-tax-deductible gifts. November 24 would be a nice day on which to send such gifts! Help. God bless, Mary keep, Thomas A. Droleskey.

November 21 Article and Late Evening Update

Taking Advice From The Fuller Brush Man

Much is being made at the present time of the fact that President-elect Barack Hussein Obama has sought "advice" from a faux "bishop" in the Episcopalian sect, Gene Robinson, a man who is stepped in unrepentant sins of perversity against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. This is certainly quite telling on the part of the soon-to-be forty-fourth President of the United States of America, a man who spent time in a Mohammedan school in Indonesia in his childhood and who spent over twenty years in the "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright's heretical sect, a man who is utterly clueless about First and Last Things (see an interview Obama gave to Chicago Sun-Times reported Cathleen Falsani in 2004). Some are even comparing Obama's choice of Gene Robinson as a counselor with that of Billy Graham, who once sold Fuller brushes door to door, as the presidential counselor of choice by presidents from Dwight David Eisenhower through George Walker Bush.

Billy Graham and Gene Robinson, however much they differ in theological and moral matters, are simply two different manifestations of the Protestant Revolt. No one should be seeking either of them out for "advice" on anything that relates to Divine Revelation as both reject the Catholic Church as the Divinely-instituted authority on earth to teach exclusively in the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and has the exclusive power to sanctify the souls of men. Neither man believes that the civil state has an obligation to give honor and praise to the Mother of God, whose Presentation we celebrate today. And no one who dishonors the Mother of God is truly a friend of her Divine Son. It is that simple.

A blessed Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.

There should be a re-worked article at some point tomorrow, Saturday, November 22, 2008, the Feast of Saint Cecilia.

Late-evening update: There will also be an article, carefully vetted before being posted on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's "general audience" this past Wednesday, November 19, 2008, on the Doctrine of Justification. The currently reigning conciliar "pontiff" stops at nothing to deconstruct the Faith and to mock the the decrees of the Council of Trent, thereby mocking God the Holy Ghost under Whose direction that council took place as its Fathers issued doctrinal decrees that bind the conscience of every person in the world until the end of time.

As Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger was instrument in bridging the "differences" that made possible the conciliar-Lutheran "Joint Declaration on Justification in 1999, it would be good for one and all to re-read His Excellency Bishop Donald A. Sanborn's Critical Analysis of the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification. Apostasy is staring at us before our very eyes. We need to make more acts of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

And, yes, we still need your non-tax-deductible gifts! Thanks.

They Continue to Caricature Themselves

God is offended every time the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service is simulated. The reasons for this have been spelled out in any number of excellent books and articles. There are times, however, when even those who do not see this truth or who believe that it would be an act of "disloyalty" to the "Church" or to the "pope" even to entertain that the notion that this could be true have to take a step back and see the way in which God is roundly mocked and blasphemed at the hands of alleged "cardinal-electors" themselves. Such is the case with the travesty presided over a few days ago by Christoph "Cardinal" Schonborn in Austria.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is no joke. The Sacrifice that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ made of Himself to His Co-Equal Father in Spirit and in Truth on the wood of the Holy Cross was not marked by balloons or strobe lights. The earth quake as Our Lord breathed His last. The Fifth Sword of Sorrow was pierced through and through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. Those who make a mockery of the Mass slap Our Lord in the face just as surely as the Pharisees did and they spit on Him just as surely as the Roman soldiers did. We need to make much reparation for our sins as well as for the horrific sins of the conciliar revolutionaries. Saint Felix of Valois, pray for us.

There should be another article tomorrow on the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (and we need continued financial help from those of who have the means to be of assistance and who support the work of this site.)

Finally, I ask for your prayers for the repose of the immortal soul of Mrs. Grace Hamilton, who died last evening at 8:00 p.m. on the Feast of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. Her niece, Mrs. Ardith Ayotte, explained in her note to her list last night that her Aunt Grace was of Hungarian descent. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

In Almost Every Family

Many are the truly wrenching stories that are told to us in our travels across the United States of America of families that are torn apart by the effects of the conciliar revolution against the Faith. It is so sad to learn of situations where husbands or wives are considered to be "wacko" simply for embracing the Faith, for wanting to shield their children from indecency and to take measures to get their families home to Heaven as members of the Catholic Church.

Those who are worldly, however, have always made war upon those who, despite their own sins and failings, want to make the effort in this passing, mortal vale of tears to be saints. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary was treated with great contempt by her own brothers-in-law after her husband, Louis (or Ludwig) or Thuringia, died seven years after their marriage (they had known each for ten years prior to their marriage when Elizabeth was fourteen years of age; indeed, they were essentially raised together in Wartburg Castle after Elizabeth's father, King Andrew of Hungary, agreed to give her in marriage to the eldest son of the Landgrave of Thuringia). Saint Elizabeth, who did so much for the poor of Thuringia, was calumniated and rejected even by the very people she had assisted so generously and so selflessly. She is a saint for us to invoke in these times of family trials and difficulties as we seek to bear our crosses with gratitude and with joy, forgiving others the way that Saint Elizabeth forgave those who persecuted her so cruelly, the way that each of us is forgiven in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance by a true alter Christus acting in persona Christi. (This is a very brief article!) Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, pray for us.

There should be another article on this site tomorrow, Thursday, November 20, 2008, the Feast of Saint Felix of Valois.

For the time being, however, I have found an excellent article defending the Social Reign of Christ King (and criticizing the "Second" Vatican Council's Dignitatis Humanae) that contradicts recent efforts to prove that the conciliar view of religious liberty is consistent with the Catholic Faith according to Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's absurd "hermeneutics of continuity in discontinuity." Readers are invited to read the article, The Reign of Christ the King, which was written by a man who was certainly favorably disposed to Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger but who was nevertheless a firm opponent of Dignitatis Humanae, the late Mr. Michael Davies. Another reading of The Goddess of Liberty, Thy Name is Blasphemy might also be in order.

Hunkered Down on Mindanao

As a retired veteran of campaigns designed to stop "abuses" in Catholic parishes that I understand now to be in the control of the authorities of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, I can well understand and empathize with those Catholics who are continuing to "battle" for the Faith, as they see it, especially as some try to preserve the work of a "conservative" pastor who has been replaced by a thorough supporter of the liturgical and doctrinal revolutions of conciliarism. Unfortunately for these very well-meaning Catholics, the "replacement" pastors in conciliar parishes have been assigned precisely to undo the work of a "conservative" predecessor. The conciliar "bishop" who has been appointed by the conciliar "pope" wants his fellow revolutionary to bring in the bulldozers and do in a "holdout" parish (one where, of course, great offense has been given to God by means of the "offerings" of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service) what is being done in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York, at this time as Shea Stadium is being razed piece by piece. To "resist" in the conciliar structures is futile. The "revolutionary" pastors are simply doing what the chief revolutionary in Rome wants done. It's that simple. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

There should be another original article on this site tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. (Yes, there will be a travelogue by Monday, November 24, 2008, the Feast of Saint John of God.)

Finally, Miss Cecilia Omlor has sent a message out to her extensive e-mail list asking for prayers for a special intention for 9:00 a.m., Australian time, on Wednesday, the Feast of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. Please pray for Miss Omlor and for Mrs. Grace Hamilton, whose prayer intention was made a few days ago.

Clarity Has Its Advantages

We live in a world of fantasy and delusion. Indeed, many of us have fantasies and delusions about ourselves and our own abilities, minimizing our faults and weaknesses, failing to make reparation for our sins and as we forget to show give gratitude to the Most Blessed Trinity for the glories of the Catholic Faith by offering up our daily prayers and sufferings and penances and humiliations through the Sorrowful land Immaculate Heart of Mary. We blind ourselves by failing to see ourselves clearly and by failing to take the interior lives of our souls seriously. This blindness leads to accept all manner of compromises in the world and to be alarmed by one set of devils when another set of devils is advancing the same evils, albeit with our unwitting support.

Just as it is the case that the radical "progressives within the counterfeit church of conciliarism making the other conciliar revolutionaries seem more "conservative" or "traditional" by comparison, so is it the case that the false opposites of the naturalist "left" make their counterparts in the naturalist "right" seem "better" by comparison. This is all an illusion from Hell designed to entrap us into one falsehood after another as evil is advanced more steadily with each passing year.

May Saint Gertrude the Great, to whom Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ revealed many of the secrets of His Most Sacred Heart, help us to be humble enough to submit to the sweet yoke of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as we pray as many Rosaries as possible each day in reparation for our sins and those of the whole world. Saint Gertrude will teach us humility, meekness, fidelity and obedience. Let us ask her to help us to imitate her virtues and her self-surrender to Christ the King and to Mary our Immaculate Queen.

There will be the concluding ceremonies of a Forty Hours' devotion that began at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, on Friday evening, The 9:00 a.m. High Mass and Vespers (4:45 p.m.) and the final procession, replete with the Litany of the Saints, and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament (7:00 p.m.), can be viewed via live streaming simulcasts at St. Gertrude the Great. Please partake of these glorious ceremonies. They are indeed foretastes of Heaven.

The Forty Hours' devotion is being preached by Father Oskar Ramolla, a native of Germany who was ordained last year, and Father Fredrico Palma, a native of Argentina (as are Fathers Carlos Ercoli and Nicholas Disposito, each of who are based at Most Holy Trinity Seminary along with Father Palma), and Father Charles McGuire, a native of the State of Ohio. The devotion this year at Saint Gertrude the Great Church commemorates the fifth anniversary of the dedication of the new church building, the priestly ordination anniversaries of the young priests, and His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's fifteenth anniversary of his episcopal consecration by His Excellency Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas, CMRI. We are most privileged to be here for these glories!

As time will be devoted today to the events of the Forty Hours' devotion, look for the next article on this site on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, the Feast of the Dedication of the Basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul.

Late-evening update: The glories of the Forty Hours' devotions at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, this weekend can be described as nothing less than foretastes of the glories of Heaven. Each of the recently ordained priests (Fathers Ramolla, Palma and McGuire) gave edifying sermons. His Excellency Bishop Dolan gave a brief sermon himself before the chanting of the Litany of the Saints and the Closing Eucharistic Procession. We are in the debt of Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada and Fathers Ramolla, Palma and McGuire, also noting the superb work done by Mr. Tim Duff and the members of the choir of Saint Gertrude the Great Church.

Finally, I have come across an article of mine from nearly seven years ago that made many of the same points that were made on this sit during the hysteria engendered by the Judeo-Masonic farce played out in this year's election cycle. The article, Tokenism and Blindness, was published on the The Daily Catholic site on January 18, 2002, and was published in the printed pages of Christ or Chaos. Apart from one reference to then reigning conciliar "pontiff," the article hold up pretty well. Those who read it can see that, perhaps, a little bit of the frustration some of us experienced this year when we tried to point out the reality of what was happening in the administration of the "pro-life" president, a man who used various slogans and semantic tricks to advance grave evils while most Catholics fell asleep in the false assurance that all was well. It was not. Catholicism is indeed the one and only foundation of personal and social order.

Another article on Tuesday. Today was given over to the glories of the Forty Hours!

One and Only One Path to Peace

What more can be said? Another elegy in support of the nonexistent "ability" of false religions to make "contributions" for the betterment of the world made by Jean-Louis "Cardinal" Tauran, the President of the "Pontifical" Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue. "Cardinal" Tauran insisted at the United Masonic Nations yesterday, November 13, 2008, that each religion must not renounce its own "cultural and religious identity," which means, of course, that there is no urgency for anyone outside of the Catholic Church to convert and there is no necessity for them to do so in order to advance the common good in light of man's Last End. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Josaphat, pray for us.

There should be another article at some point tomorrow, November 15, 2008, the Feast of Saint Albert the Great.

Finally, our snail mail did catch up with us, well, some of it, at least. We thank the twelve of you whose non-tax-deductible gifts we have just received. We do need the continued financial support of those who have the means and are are themselves in support of the work of this site. Please know of our prayers each day in gratitude for the generosity of those who are so kind to us. We could not survive without your help! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely yours in Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, Thomas A. Droleskey.

The Goddess of Liberty, Thy Name is Blasphemy

Yes, it is approaching the early evening in the eastern part of the United States of America. As I promised an article for today, however, all day has been spent producing it. What is it about? Well, this one explains that the campaign of the "humanist society" on the buses in the City of Washington, District of Columbia, is but another of the logical consequences that must flow from as a result of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt.

As is noted in Selected Writings of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers (which is available from Mr. Hugh Akin's Catholic Action Resource Center):

To say Jesus Christ is the God of individuals and of families, but not the God of peoples and of societies, is to say that He is not God. To say that Christianity is the law of individual man and is not the law of collective man, is to say that Christianity is not divine. To say that the Church is the judge of private morality, but has nothing to do with public and political morality, is to say that the Church is not divine."

In fine, Cardinal Pie insists:

"Christianity would not be divine if it were to have existence within individuals but not with regard to societies."

Fr. de St. Just asks, in conclusion:

"Could it be proven in clearer terms that social atheism conduces to individualistic atheism?"

Just look at the buses in Washington, D.C., for proof. Just look at the world around us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Another article, God willing and Our Lady interceding, will be posted tomorrow at some point.

Living With Murder Quite Comfortably

Professional Republican politicians are trying to "figure out" what to "do" in the future in the wake of the defeat of their presidential candidate, United States Senator John Sidney McCain III, R-Arizona, eight days ago by now President-elect Barack Hussein Obama, D-Illinois, and in the wake of crushing losses in both Houses of the Congress of the United States of America. Some are these great lights of naturalism are saying that it is time to quite focusing on issues that "the people" themselves do not consider important. One of those "issues" is the daily slaughter of the preborn by chemical and surgical means under cover of law. Too bad for the babies that "votes" must get in the way of adhering to the binding precepts of the Fifth Commandment. Too bad. It is, good readers, as impossible to "reform" a system based on the false premises of naturalism by using naturalistic principles as it is to "reform" the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which will be the subject of tomorrow's article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Martin I, pray for us.

A prayer request has been made for the intentions of Mrs. Grace Hamilton, the widowed ninety-year old maternal aunt of Mrs. Ardith Ayotte. Father Oscar Saavedra of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Chapel in Fraser, Michigan, has administered the Sacrament of Extreme Unction to Mrs. Hamilton, who is in a hospice section of a nursing home in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Please pray to Saint Joseph so that Mrs. Hamilton will have a happy and holy death.

We Don't Want to Learn Anything

Some have criticized me for writing on the same subjects interminably. Oh, well, repetition is the mother of learning. New articles on old themes continue to be written as I am aware that there might be some first-time visitor to this site who will not know where to look for similar information. There have been somewhere approaching six hundred original articles in the last three years alone. This is just another attempt to put our current political climate into some degree of perspective, especially as many Catholics are expressing alarm at President-elect Barack Hussein Obama's agenda of evil. Why be alarmed? He told us what he supported. He is going to be faithful to his agenda of evil. Unlike the outgoing administration, which claimed to be "pro-life" as it supported and administered one anti-life policy after another, the incoming administration is going to be absolutely honest in its promotion of evil. And most, although not all, of what it will do will simply be a continuation of the "pro-life" administration's policies in a more direct, open and honest manner for all to see. No more delusions. No more myths. Only a few things will be substantially "new." Most of Obama's policies of evil will simply be a continuation of the status quo under George Walker Bush. Facts are indeed troublesome things. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. Saint Martin of Tours, great champion of Christ the King, pray for us.

There should be another article tomorrow, November 12, 2008, and we hope by then to have been reunited with our "snail mail," which we have not seen in five weeks now. Please let me know if anything you may have sent to us has been returned to you as "undeliverable."

By Invitation Only

What's one of the best ways to get "inside" the conciliar Vatican these days? Represent yourself as a member of a false religion who is willing to engage in "ecumenical dialogue" with the leaders of the counterfeit church. You will be accorded great privileges as your false religion is esteemed in the name of brotherhood, human dignity, and religious liberty. Oh, some of the conciliar officials might privately grumble now and again when the pressures you exert get a little much for them to handle. The show of the great blasphemous enterprise of false ecumenism must go on, however, no matter how many times God is offended, no matter how many times souls are reaffirmed in false religions that are from the devil and can lead only to Hell. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

I commend to you once again another excellent sermon, "Three Principles and a President, delivered by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan at Saint Gertrude the Great Church yesterday. It is the sort of sermon that should be delivered from every Catholic pulpit around the world! Please listen to it.

Do You Hear The People Sing?

The error of Modernity known as "popular sovereignty" is a double-edged sword given us by the devil to convince even the most well-intentioned people that it is possible to fight him, the devil, with his own naturalistic tools. This is, of course, the entire foundation of the modern civil state, founded in a massive web of naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian lies. A referendum passed this year to retard some evil can be overturned in another year. Most referenda, however, make at least some concessions to evil and are premised entirely upon naturalistic foundations and defended in naturalistic terms, leading even well-intentioned people to act as though they are the cast of Les Miserables as they sing Do you hear the people sing?  God's eternal laws are never subject to the vote of the "will of the people. "The people" must simply obey these laws as they have been entrusted by Him to His Catholic Church for their infallible explication and eternal safekeeping. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Look for another article on Monday, November 10, 2008, the Feast of Saint Andrew Avellino.

His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan has asked me to request prayers for the repose of the immortal soul of the late Father Gunther Richter, a sedevacantist priest in Europe who died recently at the age of fifty-three. Please do remember Father Richter's immortal soul in your prayers. His Excellency informs me that Father Richter served souls with great zeal. Eternal rest grant unto Father Gunther Richter, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

It has also come to my attention that Marshall Fritz, the founder of the Alliance for the Separation of School and State, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. I knew Marshall from my work at The Wanderer, and he was kind enough to organize a lecture that I gave on the Social Reign of Christ the King in Fresno, California, in May of 2001. Please pray for the repose of the soul of the late Marshall Fritz.

Chastisement Is A Silver Lining

One reader commented about yesterday's article, Figures of Antichrist, that it was hard to find a "silver lining" in the events of the day and my own commentary upon them. Au contraire! Chastisement is a silver lining, one of the best ones possible. It is my belief that we are being chastised not only because of our own personal sins and those that have been promoted under cover of civil law and institutionalized in every aspect of popular culture, but because of the fact that we have refused to stand up as Catholics to defend the truths of the Social Reign of Christ the King in this land of Protestantism and the naturalism of Judeo-Masonry. We must embrace this chastisement with joy and with gratitude. It is the means of our being refined like fire in the good if, that is, we should to make use it as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Viva Cristo Rey!

Another article should appear tomorrow, November 7, 2008. It will deal with the matter of ballot propositions and their efficacy in fighting the "culture wars" in a pluralistic nation. Although I have addressed the matter before, especially in Arrogating Unto the "People" What Belongs to Christ the King and in  Accepting Exceptions as Unexceptional. I want to do so yet again. Check back tomorrow afternoon at some point.

We have not been reunited with our "snail mail" in about a month. Those of you who have sent us non-tax-deductible gifts but have not seen your checks clear your accounts as of yet should simply sit tight. We'll get those gifts deposited as soon as we get them, and we are praying to Saint Anthony that that is sooner rather than later! I will be working on sending thank you notes to those who sent donations via PayPal recently and have not had your gift acknowledged. It's been a long week between driving and writing. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

Figures of Antichrist

The madness has reached its conclusion. The polls weren't wrong, were they? Although the percentage of the national popular vote won by President-elect Barack Hussein Obama is similar to that won by former President James Earl Carter, Jr., in 1976, the magnitude of his victory in the electoral college--and the large margins that he piled up in California, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland, Maine, Pennsylvania, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii--speak quite loudly about the further degeneration of a governmental and electoral system premised entirely upon a set of naturalistic lies. There's no "getting this back" at the ballot box, folks. Wake up. Sovereignty resides not with "the people." It resides with Christ the King. We must be about the business of planting the seeds for the conversion of the nation to the Social Reign of Our King as His consecrated slaves through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Anything else is a waste of time and money and effort that are better spent on making reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit.

There is no such thing as a "lesser of two evils" in this system. The so-called "lesser of two evils" from the year 2000 governed in such a way as to make a man trained in the ways of Marxism the next President-elect of the United States of America. The bill has come due for those of you who thought you were "buying time" in the year 2000 and then went to sleep as grave moral evils were promoted by the "conservative," "pro-life' president who increased the size and the power and the scope of the Federal government of the United States of America in draconian terms. The outgoing president, George Walker Bush, has thus paved the way for the incoming president, Barack Hussein Obama, to increase state power even more and to use his Antichrist-like rhetoric to impose a reign of terror upon those of us who dare to dissent from the "leftist" currents of naturalism.

This is a chastisement. It is one that this country could not avoid enduring for much longer. How many babies must be killed by surgical and chemical means? How many unjust, unprovoked wars must this country start as its forces occupy and pillage a sovereign nation? How many evils (music, television programming, motion pictures, books, magazines, fashions) must be exported from this nation to corrupt souls elsewhere? God will not be mocked. The United States of America is founded on a web of naturalistic lies, and it has spread those lies throughout the world The chastisement is here.

Our Lady, however, is here to help us. Pray your Rosary every day. Stay in a state of Sanctifying Grace. Tough times may lie ahead. We have all of the supernatural means necessary to endure these tough times and to offer them up to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary as we keep it Catholic all of the time.

We must pray for the conversion of the President-elect and his family to the true Faith as we oppose his policies. And perhaps it is time to learn that the only thing you get when you vote in a system of naturalism is, gee whiz, naturalism. Catholicism is indeed the one and only foundation of personal and social order. This is not "idealism." This is truth, and anyone who does not meet this truth squarely and proclaim it directly is failing in his Catholic duty to fulfill these prophetic words of Pope Leo XIII in Sapientiae Christianae, January 10, 1890:

The chief elements of this duty consist in professing openly and unflinchingly the Catholic doctrine, and in propagating it to the utmost of our power. For, as is often said, with the greatest truth, there is nothing so hurtful to Christian wisdom as that it should not be known, since it possesses, when loyally received, inherent power to drive away error. So soon as Catholic truth is apprehended by a simple and unprejudiced soul, reason yields assent.

Care to dissent? Consider the results for your having done so in the year 2000? Compromise with evil leads to more evil. Compromise was never the path of the martyrs. It cannot be our path today. Not once.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

November 4 Article and Video/Audio Lecture Update

Into the Deep Freezer, All for Fear of the Jews

Although, as has been noted before on this site, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI may very well proceed with the conciliar "canonization" process of Pope Pius XII, the false "pontiff" is certainly according the ancient enemies of the Catholic Faith a great deal of "input" into the decision-making process. A group of adherents of the Talmud met with him in the Vatican five days ago. One requested that the "canonization" process for Pope Pius XII be put on hold for the time being until the files of the Vatican archives could be reviewed. "Papal" spokesman Father Federico Lombardi, S.J., has said that Ratzinger/Benedict's statement that he was "looking into" the possibility of "freezing" the "canonization" process for Pope Pius XII was made out of "politeness" and that it did not represent a public commitment on his part to do so. The mere fact, however, that a man who believes himself to be the Vicar of Christ can give adherents of the blasphemous Talmud the impression that their "concerns" can be "considered" in the internal workings of what purports to be the Catholic Church should speak volumes about the nature of the era of apostasy and betrayal that is upon us. And this is what the Society of Saint Pius X desire to be in "full communion" with after their juridical status in the conciliar structures is changed? Lotsa luck, boys.

There is a new lecture available at Christ or Chaos Store. The lecture runs thirty-five minutes and is a very brief review of the hysteria caused by the devil in this election cycle that comes to an end today prior to the beginning of the hysteria for the 2012 election cycle tomorrow, November 5, 2008. The lecture, entitled "One and the Same" (found on page four of the catalog page of the store website), will come to you in both audio and video format for the grand sum of fifty cents. (One sale has been made as of 4:01 p.m. on the Feast of Saint Charles Borromeo. Does anyone want to dare make it two sales?

The recording was cut short as Father Anthony Cekada was in the process of securing the campus of Saint Gertrude the Great Church and Academy. It is a brief review of many of the points made on this website in the past twenty months. As I could have gone on for another hour or so, it is probably a good thing that the lecture was cut short. (I will return to the "Living in the Shadow of the Cross" lecture program soon, repeating the dual audio/video format for those lectures from this point forward.)

The insanity of the moment knows no limits. One reader wrote to me yesterday to "thank" me for "helping to elect" Barack Obama. Only several hundred people read my articles each month, although up to several thousand "pass by" to view the home page of my site before moving on after spending up to thirty seconds on this home page. I will be responsible for "electing" Barack  Hussein Obama, who has come in for endless criticism on this site? Insanity. Absolute and total insanity.

The evil of naturalism, the fruit of the Protestant Revolt and Judeo-Masonry and conciliarism's reconciliation with the lies of Modernity, has produced Barack Hussein Obama and an electorate favorable to his election. The evil of naturalism is what produced a man, John Sidney McCain III, who was incapable of finding a coherent strategy of opposing his fellow naturalist as he, McCain, does not believe in First and Last Things as they have been entrusted by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ exclusively to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. Although unlikely, McCain might still win.

Such a "victory" would come in spite of McCain's ignorance of First and Last Things, and he would use such a victory to continue the regime of naturalism that has produced so many devastating consequences for souls and for the common temporal good ever since the nation's founding on false, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, semi-Pelagian principles. Naturalism will continue to be advanced no matter who is elected, and those who cannot see this or who think that we are "holding back the floodgates" of evil ought to consider the torrents of evil that have flowed forth from the administration of the "pro-life" conservative, George Walker Bush, which have played right into the devil's hands to make a Marxist non-entity, Obama, a viable candidate for election to the White House.

Catholics in the first centuries of the Church did not compromise one little bit as they gave up their lives rather than to deny the Faith publicly. This is not "idealism." This is Catholicism. May the spirit of the early martyrs of the Church help us to fear nothing, not even Barack Hussein Obama, as we defend the Sacred Rights of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen.

Catholicism remains the one and only foundation of personal and social order. Anyone who thinks that there is a naturalistic "stopgap" measure is quite mistaken.

I am going to pray a lot of Rosaries today in reparation for my own sins and those of the United States of America. How about you?

Viva Cristo Rey!

(An original article should appear at some point later today. Another one will appear tomorrow, although Apostasy Has Consequences could be republished as a fitting postmortem to the election.)

Keeping It Catholic All The Time

Still pretty tired from our long travels, I have composed a final pre-election article for your review. It is an entirely new composition that covers familiar themes once again.

Pope Pius IX had it entirely correct when he assessed the "universal franchise" as follows in 1874:

To allow the masses, invariably uninformed and impulsive, to make decisions on the most serious matters, is this not to hand oneself over to chance and deliberately run towards the abyss? Yes, it would be more appropriate to call universal suffrage universal madness and, when the secret societies have taken control of it as is all too often the case, universal falsehood." (Pope Pius IX, Statement to French pilgrims, May 5, 1874, cited by Abbe Georges de Nantes, CCR # 333, p. 24.)

Similarly, Monsignor Charles Maignen phrased the matter as follows in the Nineteenth Century:

How can you place an anathema upon the dogma of the sovereignty of the people, if you look to it for salvation?

"How can you proclaim the impresciptible and divine rights of the Church, if the program you would establish for its defense is an electoral program, destined to rally the majority of men of these times?

"O infernal ruse of the spirit of lies which leads us into this parade!

"Come away from the cloven hooves of popular votes! O Catholics, there is no other way out!"

Although Pope Pius XII viewed voting more favorably, the influence of Jacques Maritain (who was a friend of Saul Alinsky, whose "organizing" methods helped to train a young lawyer named Barack Hussein Obama) being most evident in this regard, even he attached conditions to the exercise of the vote in his 1948 and 1951 allocutions on the subject. One can use his Catholic reason, informed by the facts of our circumstances, to come to a completely defensible conclusion that those conditions are not met today.

Pope Pius IX most clearly has been proved correct: the universal franchise is universal madness, a madness that leads to universal falsehood. We can make no compromises with falsehood or think that madness is a path to the pursuit of sanity in public policy and our popular culture.

Catholicism remains the one and only foundation of personal and social order.  Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Please do listen to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's sermon of yesterday, "Faith Filled & Fearless”. One will find this good shepherd of souls giving voice to the profound wisdom of Pope Pius IX from his pulpit at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio.

Let us remember the Poor Souls today and each day of our lives!

November 1 Republished Article and November 2 Update

Republished: Suffering is the Only Path to Triumph

It is late on the Feast of All Saints. We have had a long sixty-seven hours of driving over 2000 miles from the inland Pacific northwest to near West Chester, Ohio.

We were open to doing God's Holy Will for us if it meant a relocation to Idaho for the purposes of teaching. As it happened in in His ineffable Providence, however, a decision was made ultimately that it would be best for our daughter's continued education in the Faith, which has continued on a homeschooling basis in recent weeks in conjunction with her teachers, to return east. Her soul comes first. Nothing else matters.

We are very, very grateful to Father Benedict Hughes of the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen for his generosity and thoughtfulness in extending to us the invitation to relocate in Idaho. We enjoyed being at the Fatima Conference at Mount Saint Michael's Church in Spokane, Washington, and are most grateful for the opportunity to have visited the City of Mary once again. We also want to wish a belated happy birthday to His Excellency Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas, who turned fifty years of age on Friday, October 31, 2008.

Our one and only goal in this life is to get home to Heaven by dying in a state of Sanctifying Grace as a member of the Catholic Church. Absolutely nothing else matters. The path to Heaven runs through the Cross of our Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as we consecrate ourselves to Him totally through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother. We must embrace suffering and humiliation and hardship with equanimity, joy and gratitude, mindful of the fact that Our Lady desires use whatever merits we earn from our embrace of our sufferings for the honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity and for the good of souls, especially the Poor Souls in the Church Suffering in Purgatory, whose intentions we must remember every day and especially during this month of November. There is no other path to the triumph of the empty tomb other than the suffering of the Cross.

We must also forgive right readily those who have offended us in any way and ask forgiveness from those whom we have offended, whether advertently or inadvertently. Nothing anyone does to us or says about us is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during his Passion and Death and that caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow.

Oh, yes, there will and must be disagreements during this time of apostasy and betrayal. We must, however, continue to pray for each other on a daily basis, praying especially that the disagreements of the moment will be washed away by the merits of the Most Precious Blood of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and by the maternal intercession of His Most Blessed Mother. If we want to be in Heaven for all eternity, you see, in the presence of the Most Blessed Trinity, Our Lady, Saint Joseph and all of the angels of the saints, then it is a pretty good idea to pray for everyone whom God's Providence has placed in our paths, hoping that those from whom we might be estranged at the present time, especially because of the divisions among Catholics created by conciliarism and its apostasies, will be united with us for all eternity in the glories of Heaven, please God that each of us dies in a state of Sanctifying Grace.

One of ways in which we can practice true Charity is to remember the Poor Souls every day in our prayers. Terrible, terrible sinner that I am, one of my devotions has long been to the Poor Souls. To help the Poor Souls repay the debt that they can no longer pay for themselves is to acquire friends for eternity who will help us at the moment of our own deaths. Charity to the Poor Souls can help to undo our own uncharity to others in this passing, mortal vale of tears. Although the Commemoration of All Souls this year is transferred to Monday, November 3, 2008, this is indeed the month of the Poor Souls. Let us show them our due attention each and every day of the year, especially in this month of November.

The next original article on this site will appear on Monday, November 3, 2008. It will deal, of course, with the absolute naturalistic farce that will reach its conclusion the following day, November 4, 2008, before the 2012 version of that farce commences on November 5, 2008. Ah, yes, the joys of pluralism. And I am completely unbent in my scathing condemnation of this naturalistic farce. Viva Cristo Rey!

I do want to thank those of you who have responded to our emergency appeal. We need more to respond. However, I want to inform those of you who have responded and have not received a thank you note as of yet that I will indeed send a thank you note in a few days. I am, quite honestly, looking forward to a night of sleep after the two thousand mile drive.

Finally, our trip out to the inland Pacific northwest was, as noted above, all in God's Holy Providence. It also had a temporal benefit. We responded to a newspaper advertisement and made a new addition to the Droleskey household, an addition who has proven himself to be an excellent motor home resident and traveler:

Meet "Chase" (that's the name he came with), a now seven month old male beagle puppy (he just growled at his own photograph!). He is a wonderful dog. My family had beagles in my high school and college years (two of them surviving until I was nearly thirty years old). Sharon had a beagle as well. Lucy has taken to our new family member quite well. Why shouldn't she? Her paternal grandfather was a veterinarian, after all. Thus it is that our trip out to the northwest had, apart from the very important supernatural benefits for our souls, a wonderful temporal consolation from Our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother.

It is now time for all good Droleskeys, including, Chase, to get some sleep!

A blessed Feast of All Saints to you all.

November 2 Update: A new article is being written. In the meantime, however, feast your ears on the magnificent Catholic sermon, “Faith Filled & Fearless”, delivered this morning Saint Gertrude the Great Church by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan. We were privileged to present in person for this sermon during the High Mass offered by Father Anthony Cekada. It is a sermon that should be preached from every pulpit by every Catholic priest in the United States of America. Enough with the madness of enabling naturalists over and over and over again. Viva Cristo Rey!

Atop the Kremlin Wall

Another very brief article, this one dealing with the aging revolutionaries of the conciliar revolution who keep extolling their handiwork much like the Bolsheviks who stood atop the Kremlin Wall every year. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

The travelogue is in abeyance for the time being. There have been developments in the past few days that have made its completion impossible at this time. There will be an update on all of this soon. We give all of the sufferings and the humiliations of this present life to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, doing so with great joy and with grate gratitude.

There will be a republished article on All Saints' Day. There will also be another election commentary by that time.

Please pray for us, and I ask again for those who are willing and able to offer their non-tax-deductible gifts to us.

To Keep Us Perpetually Agitated

This is probably one of the briefest articles that will ever appear on this site, although it may be followed by another brief one tomorrow, October 30, 2008, dealing with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's elegy of praise once again to the "fruit" of the "Second" Vatican Council, an exercise that is akin to the late Soviet dictator and Communist Party boss Leonid Brezhnev's annual elegy of praise to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.

This article is simply a reminder that the devil wants to keep us agitated by means of perpetual noise and frenzied activity. The agitation engendered by the farce of our Judeo-Masonic electoral system should be proof enough of the fact that nothing from God produces agitation or frenzy. Why participate in the devil's games on his terms and on his turf? Be calm. Be still. We the crossing of Our Lady's arms and in the folds of her mantle. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

In case you missed my explanation of the electoral college posted late Monday, here it is again: Step by Step.

Finally, I must appeal to you good readers once again who might have a spare five or ten dollars to help us out. Some good people were kind enough to provide us with an emergency gift today as we we about belly up. We still need more of the regular readers of this site who have the means and the desire to help us to make a non-tax-deductible gift to us. This is a matter of great urgency. As always, of course, we entrust all to Our Lady of Good Success and to her Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful. (I have not updated the Donations page. That page does have, however, the PayPal button on which to click to make a non-tax-deductible gift.) Thank you in advance for any consideration that you can give to this request.

Making the Same Tragic Mistakes Again and Again

Perhaps I am the one making the same mistake over and over again by offering commentaries on the election that are read, according to the statistics provided to me on a daily basis by the company that hosts this site, by about 150-250 people in any given month. Undaunted, however, I will continue pointing out the simple truth that no one has a moral obligation to vote in an electoral system that is founded on Judeo-Masonic principles and that perpetuates those diabolical principles no matter who gets elected. There is no candidate who fulfills the qualifications specified by Pope Pius XII (in allocutions he made to priests in Rome, Italy, at a time when the Communists were about to seize power electorally and at a time when there were candidates for office who supported the teaching of the Church and had the interests of souls at heart) of supporting the teaching of the Church or having the interests of souls at heart.

We must use our Catholic reason to apply principles to the actual, concrete realities in which we find ourselves. Although people are free to continue to enable naturalism with their votes if they believe doing so will accomplish some rational good, no one but one is committing a Moral Sin by abstaining from entering into a voting booth and voting for the devil's agents of the naturalist "left" and/or the naturalist "right." And anyone who says that such an obligation does exist is misleading the faithful and misrepresenting Catholic teaching.

It is in this regard that I am most pleased to link to His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan's masterful sermon, “Contempt & The Crown”, delivered yesterday on the Feast of Christ the King at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, wherein he challenged his parishioners--and each one of us--to think before we give the enemies of Christ the King of the "left" or the "right" any more help from us as they mock and spit upon Our King and as they crown Him with thorns anew by basing state policies on religious indifferentism and semi-Pelagianism, serving the cause of the false god of "American liberty" in the process. His Excellency's sermon is must listening for all Catholics, including the clergy, many of whom, most unfortunately, have not bothered to think too deeply about the mystical implications of enabling men and women who are by their words and actions the enemies of Christ the King and hence of the souls for whom Our King shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross.

Please send the link to Bishop Dolan's sermon to each of your friends and associates. It will give them cause before they enter into the devil's trap called the voting booth.

Step by Step

This late afternoon, Pacific time, posting is a brief article trying to explain the workings of electoral college to people who think that they are "keeping Barack Hussein Obama out of the White House" by voting for John Sidney McCain III in a solidly, permanently "blue" state where the McCain campaign is not competing and is not spending much money, if any at all, in the way of advertising. Putting aside the weightier, non-infallible arguments against voting in the diabolical farce that is our Judeo-Masonic electoral system that I have explored in a number of recent articles, it is really sad at this late date to find that people are so delusional as to think that their "vote" matters in a state where the outcome is a complete and foregone conclusion.

Viva Cristo Rey!

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

October 26 Article: Feast of Christ the King

"I Will Reign In Spite of All Who Oppose Me"

Today is the great feast of the Universal Kingship of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, instituted by Pope Pius XI by the issuance of Quas Primas, December 11, 1925, to counteract the naturalism and the anticlericalism that was spreading so wildly in the world and attracting so many Catholics away from the Faith.

As we live in the midst of the insanity, the utter madness of the absolute farce that is our Judeo-Masonic electoral system, we must always be champions of Christ the King as His totally consecrated slaves through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Our Lord is meant to be King of both men and their nations. We must never fall for the diabolical trap posed by the organized forces of naturalism in our country. We must rally at all times to the cause of Christ the King, Whose cause is defended by neither the naturalists in political parties or the conciliarists in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!

A blessed and glorious Feast Day of Christ the King to you all.

The travelogue? It is partly written. Be patient. Perhaps tomorrow.

October 24 Articles and Late Evening Update

A Really Invisible Hand

Former Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Dr. Alan Greenspan, said before a committee of the United States House of Representatives yesterday that he was "shocked" by the failure of the "free market" system to regulate itself in the midst of the banking/credit crisis that has prompted a $700 billion Federal bail out of various usurious financial institutions. Shocked, mind you. Shocked. Greenspan said that a "flaw" had been discovered that he, a professional "economist" (whatever that means), had not known before. Hey, Alan, here's a newsflash for you: The flaw is called Original Sin. Fallen human nature. Greed. Pride. Envy. The remedy? The reform of individual lives by means of Sanctifying Grace. There is no "invisible hand" to guide the "free market" system that is the stepchild of the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry. There is only Our Lady's loving hand to guide as her totally consecrated slaves to submit to the Social Reign of Christ the King as it must be exercised by His Catholic Church. Saint Raphael the Archangel, defend us and keep us!

Have a Happy

This article deals with the mess caused by conciliarism's embrace of the falsehood of the "inculturation of the Gospel," which has been used in some parts of the world, especially in parts of Asia and Africa, as a pretext for rank syncretism. The scandal involving the now suspended conciliar "bishop" John Thattumkal, which may take a year or more for conciliar authorities to "investigate," is just the product of conciliarism's embrace of religious liberty and its abject refusal to seek with urgency the unconditional conversion of all non-Catholics while at the same time stating over and over again how false religions are to be esteemed.

After all, why should we be surprised at the actions of John Thattumkal when Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has personally esteemed symbols of such false religions as Buddhism and Hinduism, among others? Who's going to "suspend" the conciliarist-in-chief? Oh, well, more later. Saint Raphael the Archangel, guide us and and protect us.

Oh, once again--help! Hint: It has something to do with the Donations letter, which I will update by Saturday afternoon.

Late-evening update: Some thoughtful readers have asked which particular articles that I have written this year on the election would be most instructive to review. Well, here are the sixteen that I think would help readers to sort through the emotions and illogical and irrationality of the moment: 1) When Lesser is Greater; 2) One Devil Goes, Another One Enters; 3) Memo to Joseph Biden and Nancy Pelosi and Their Conciliar Enablers; 4) Fact and Fiction; 5) Gradually Accepting Naturalism's False Premises; 6) Absolute Insanity 7) Facts Are Troublesome Things; 8) Believing in Their Own Madness; 9) Y2K's Lesser Evil Has Brought Us Great Evils ; 10) Trapped by Apostasy; 11) Such Are The Joys of Pluralism 12) Socialism, Straight From Your "Pro-Life" Conservative; 13) Fallacies Galore; 14) Fallacies Galore; 15) Apostasy Has Consequences; 16) It's Still Absolute Insanity. There is one that I wrote in February of 2007, No One Speaks for Christ the King, that might be worth a glance. I have written nothing in the past few months that I have not written before. Although my personal judgment, explained and defended in When Lesser is Greater, on the voting process changed in 2004, I am writing about the two-party system now as I did in 1996 and in 1999 and 2000. Only the names of the naturalists vying for office has changed as even believing Catholics across the ecclesiastical divide think that "things" will be "different" this time. They won't.

Once again, I don't expect my analyses to be accepted by too many readers. Indeed, I am fairly well hated for these analyses. And, no, it's not nice, humanly speaking, to be hated as more and more donors withdraw their support.

It is simply my hope, apart from my first goal of seeking to give God honor and glory in my work through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, that readers in future years will be able to reader these analyses with more dispassion than can be brought to bear at the present moment, and I am confident that my analysis of the actual state of electoral politics as a result of the false premises of the American founding will hold us as well in future years as my commentaries from twelve and eight and four years ago have stood the test of time. There is no suspense in what you get from a system based on falsehoods. None.

There will be a few more articles before the election on November 4, 2008. One will deal with the intellectual bankruptcy of "voters' guides" while others will review some of the principles that I have discussed in previous articles.

Viva Cristo Rey!

Lost in the Trees Without A King to Lead Them

So much blather. So much babbling. So much nonsensical talk about this or that "issue of the day." A nation of naturalistic zombies walks blindly in a forest, lost in the trees as it seeks a king to lead them deeper and deeper into the forest. These zombies get more and more lost every four years. Yet they blather on with self assurance as to how much "progress" has been made as they traverse deeper and deeper into a forest of woe. We must trust in Christ the King to lead us out of the forest of naturalism, begging His Most Blessed Mother to help us to be steadfast in our efforts to refuse to be seduced by one naturalistic lie after another, to refuse to be hoodwinked by professional politicians who care only about power and not at all about serving the King of Kings as devoted clients of the Immaculate Queen Mother herself. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

There should be a new article tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Raphael, at which time I can provide details about our presence in the inland northwest.

In the meantime, we do need more of you who have the means and the desire to send Donations to do so. Fast!

Sincerely yours in Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, Thomas A. Droleskey.

Fearing Not to Offend God

Several reports in the past few days have indicated that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is hesitating, at least for the moment, on his decision to "beatify" Pope Pius XII within the structures and according to the rules of his counterfeit church of conciliarism as he is concerned about causing a rift with leaders of various Talmudic organizations. Ratzinger/Benedict's spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, S.J., has said that the false "pontiff" does not want to be pressured by anyone about his decision on this matter, including the Talmudic spokesmen and those supporting Pope Pius XII's cause in the conciliar church.

While it is certainly understandable that a man who considers himself to be, albeit falsely, the Supreme Pontiff does not want to be pressured into making a decision on a beatification, what is interesting to note, however, that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is more concerned, it appears, with the possibility of offending mere men and not all concerned about the multiple and supremely grave ways, objectively speaking, that he had offended God, especially by the esteeming of the symbols of false religions and by praising the ability of those false religions to "contribute" to justice within nations and peace in the world-at-large. Ratzinger/Benedict fears not to offend God as he fears to offend but mere creatures.

Very sad. And very much the product of nearly forty years of the offenses rendered to God by means of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service. After all, a steady dose of offending God every day can make one rather impervious to other Mortal Sins against the First Commandment. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

The next article? Perhaps in two days. Writing rather lengthy articles on eight consecutive days is about my limit right now. All I can say for the moment is to check back in two days. Thanks for your patience. (And we still need more readers to respond to the Donations letter.)

It's Still Absolute Insanity

Yes, yes, yes, another election article. This one deals with transcripts of Columbia Broadcasting System anchorette Katie Couric's interviews in late-September with Sarah Heath Palin and Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., on the issues of Roe v. Wade and the separation of Church and State. Their answers were as "deep" as a saucer plate and as coherent as the late Charles Dillon Stengel's testimony before the United States Senate Antitrust and Monopoly Subcommittee on July 8, 1958 (Casey Stengel Testimony : July 8, 1958 Senate Antitrust and Monopoly Subcommittee). I am going to bed! Saint John Cantius, pray for us.

There might be another article later today, definitely by Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

Please do read yesterday's article, Apostasy Has Consequences.

October 19 Article

Apostasy Has Consequences

Not another apostasy article? Yes, another apostasy article. This one deals with the empirical evidence that shows rather incontrovertibly what I have been asserting for quite some time now: that the apostasies of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have so deformed the souls of so many millions of young Catholics that it is impossible, at least humanly speaking, for them to know, love and serve God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through the Catholic Church.

It is no wonder that these millions of young Catholics are uncritical supporters, both under cover of law and in every aspect of popular culture, of one moral evil after another. Fed a steady diet of sacrilege, blasphemy, heresy and other falsehoods from "Catholic" teachers in the schools under the control of conciliar authorities, these young Catholics are going to be part of a rather substantial and stable "majority" of voters on the "leftist" side of naturalism for quite some time to come. And anyone who thinks that there is some "naturalistic" means to retard the consequences of the apostasies of conciliarism is deluding himself rather badly. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

As there have been six articles in the past six days, most of which have been viewed by around 150-250 people, a respite is in order. Check back for the next article on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

We do need more of you who are willing and able to respond to the Donations letter. We are in need of some immediate help. Thank you.

October 18 Article

Willfully Trapped by Apostasy

Pepperdine University law professor Douglas Kmiec is unbent in his support for the rabid pro-abortion Marxist named Barack Hussein Obama, claiming in a Los Angeles Times op-ed piece that Obama's support for "appropriate education" to prevent "unintended consequences," shall we say, proves that he is determined to "doing something" to "reduce" the number of abortions in the United States of America. Appropriate education? We have had close to forty years of "appropriate education" in our classrooms. Behold the results.

Kmiec quoted Obama's statement from the latter's October15, 2008, debate with John Sidney McCain III that no one is pro-abortion. Really? Perhaps, Professor Kmiec and Senator Obama, you ought to acquaint yourselves with a book published in 1992, The Sacrament of Abortion. No one is pro-abortion? How low can you go to insult the intelligence of those who have been, despite their own sins and failings, in the front lines of attempting to do the little that they can to stop the slaughter of the preborn, both by chemical and surgical means, that is the logical consequence of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry? Obviously pretty low!

It is not indemnify John Sidney McCain III's own pro-abortion positions (see Fallacies Galore to point out the evils represented by Barack Hussein Obama and to denounce anyone who believes that Obama is interested in doing anything other than protecting baby-killing under cover of the civil law.

There should be a new, albeit brief, article on this site tomorrow, October 19, 2008, the Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Peter of Alcantara.

As we are pretty close to being "belly up," we need more of you who have the means and the desire to respond to our Donations letter. This has become a matter of some considerable urgency given the paucity of donations. Help! Thank you.

October 17 Article

"That" Church Will Always Exist

The contempt that many in the "hierarchy" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have for the Catholic Church is remarkably bold. This contempt has become even bolder in its public expressions, as can be seen from the intervention made by the conciliar "archbishop" from Malta, one Paul Cremona, at the ongoing "synod of bishops" at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside-the-Walls in Rome, Italy:

Archbishop Mgr. Paul Cremona addressed the Synod of Bishops currently being held in Rome on the theme ‘The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church”.

In his address, Archbishop Cremona said “I shall be speaking in the context of traditionally Catholic countries like Malta. Whenever we speak of a new evangelisation, we find a stumbling block. Many of our faithful still live in nostalgia of, and compare the present situation, with the model of the Church that was present 30 to 40 years ago.”

The Archbishop said that since the Catholic Church has not remained in a privileged position as it was then, some people live in an atmosphere of shock when the Church, or its pastors, are challenged.

“We need to go out of this traumatic experience to enter into a new evangelisation. We have to help the faithful recognise that that kind of Church does not exist anymore, and it cannot be proposed again in this changed world. We cannot continue comparing our reality to that reality.” he said.

“We have to propose a new model of being Church and the model which corresponds most to today’s reality is the primitive Christian community as it is described in chapters two and four of the Acts of the Apostles, and brought to life in the other writings of the New Testament. We have to compare the Church today to, and shape it on, that community”. (Archbishop Paul Cremona addresses Synod of Bishops in Rome.)

"That" church, "Archbishop" Cremona, will always exist. Those who desire to revisit the Jansenism advanced by the illegal Synod of Pistoia, whose precepts were condemned by Pope Paul VI in Auctorem Fidei, August 28, 1794, on Catholics worldwide show themselves to be enemies of the Holy Faith. While we must pray for them, we must have nothing to do with at all as we accord no legitimacy whatsoever to their counterfeit church. Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, pray for us!

A new article should appear at some point tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Luke. It will be a follow-up to Trapped by Apostasy. Professor Douglas Kmiec, a Catholic, is unbent in his support for the Marxist pro-abort Barack Hussein Obama. And while my criticism of John Sidney McCain III is well-known as I have documented how he is not pro-life and a supporter of the mass murder of civilians that has been undertaken in the name of American "exceptionalism" in Iraq and elsewhere, let the record continue to show my unalterable opposition to anyone in public life, no less a trained Marxist, who supports the nonexistent "right" of mothers to kill their preborn babies under cover of the civil law. Such a person is unfit to hold any public office, whether elected or appointed, in any country at any time for any reason.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

In the event that you still haven't noticed, I am not very adept at marketing my lectures and interviews. And thus it is that I forgot to post a notice concerning my interview with Mrs. Judith Sharpe on the In the Spirit of Chartres website. This lecture is a free. Fallacies Galore

Another debate, more fallacies. Yes, of course, fallacies are to be expected from United States Senator Barack Hussein Obama, D-Illinois. That goes without saying. Fine. It is also the case, however, that John Sidney McCain III, mouthed a lot of fallacies when he discussed the issue of the killing of innocent preborn babies. How can one who voted to confirm Ruth Bader Ginsburg and and Stephen Breyer and who supports the surgical slicing and dicing of innocent human beings in certain "hard cases" consider himself to be "proudly pro-life" and helping to build a "culture of life?" One can only come to such illogical, mutually contradictory conclusions in a world of sentimentality and emotion wrought by the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry. Saint Hedwig, pray for us!

Another article should appear tomorrow, October 17, 2008, the Feast of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque.

Have I mentioned that we need more people to respond to our Donations letter?

Desiring to Stay Ignorant

So many Catholics desire to stay ignorant of the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church. Such ignorance serves the purposes of the expositors of Judeo-Masonic naturalism quite well, especially during the mania produced in election cycles. We must think, act and speak as Catholics at all times, understanding that there is nothing short of Catholicism that is the foundation of personal and social order. This article contains what I would say to Senators Obama and McCain in tonight's debate if I was on the stage with them.

The election will over in three weeks. Deo gratias!

More Scourgings for Our Lord From the One World Church

As the hour is late here in the inland Pacific Northwest, suffice it for the present moment to note that this new article, which contains much familiar material, deals with the apostasies that are abounding in the as of yet ongoing "world synod of 'bishops'" at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside-the-Walls, which basilica Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is attempting to turn into a mecca of false ecumenism. To behold the amazing statements that come out of the mouths of allegedly Catholic "bishops" is to give thanks to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother that we have been given the true sacraments and the true Faith in the catacombs by true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism whatsoever and absolutely no concessions, as in no recognition at all, to the nonexistent "legitimacy" of the apostates who claim to hold ecclesiastical office.

Indeed, there is cause for great thanks as two new priests, Fathers Bernard Welp, CMRI, and Alexander Kryssov, have been ordained by His Excellency Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas. It was our privilege to assist at Father Kryssov's first Solemn High Mass yesterday, October 13, 2008, the Feast of Saint Edward the Confessor and the ninety-first anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun. And what a miracle it is that son of Russia, who was received into the Faith by a Lithuanian priest, Father Stanislav Mazejka, in 1988, is returning to Russia to serve as a faithful and devoted client of Our Lady's Fatima Message. In the midst of the apostasies, you see, there is great cause for hope. Deo gratias!

Finally, although there will be a new article tomorrow, October 15, 2008, the Feast of Saint Teresa of Avila, I do want to highlight one from four years ago, Republished: We Must Resist This, in light of United States Senator Barack Hussein Obama's support for the mandatory registration of women for the military draft. For the moment, however, I did want to dust off this older article as a frame of reference for a future article on this subject.

Yes, good readers, we do need more of you who have the means and the desire to respond to our Donations letter. Although we will be off the road for the foreseeable future (details soon enough), we still have expenses to meet and bills to pay. Please help us if you can. Thank you.

Such Are The Joys of Pluralism

As I am rushing out the door of our motor home here in Idaho to drive the twenty-nine miles to Mount Saint Michael's Church for the brief address that I will give at the Fatima Conference this evening, there is only time to note that this particular article, fresh off the "presses," so to speak, is yet again another reflection on the diabolical trap posed by the modern civil state that extols the joys of pluralism (religious indifferentism, religious liberty, separation of Church and State, freedom of speech, freedom of press, etc.) and egalitarianism and majoritarianism. No, I don't expect too many people to agree or accept what is written on this site. What I am writing now is little different than what I wrote eight years ago during the mania produced by the election between then Vice President Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., and then Governor of Texas George Walker Bush, the only difference between then and now being the judgment, imposed upon no one as received from the hand of God, that we should not enable the Judeo-Masonic electoral system in the slightest, not even to vote for a minor party candidate of conscience.  Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

A republished article on The Work of Columbus is also being posted at this time to commemorate the traditional observance of Columbus Day tomorrow, October 12, 2008, which is the Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost this year.

There will be another original article published on Monday, the Feast of Saint Edward the Confessor and the ninety-first anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun, or Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

It would also be nice for more people who have the means and the willingness to help us to respond to our Donations letter. Thank you.

Socialism, Straight From Your "Pro-Life" Conservative

To be an eyewitness to the further socialization of one's nation is truly remarkable. A supposedly "pro-life" and "conservative" presidential administration is pursuing policies that would bring nothing but joy to the darkened heart of the late Vladimir I. Lenin. Catholicism alone is the only means to check the madness of this present moment. How many Catholics understand this? How many Catholics accept this? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

There should be another original article posted on this site tomorrow, the Feast of the Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Please note also that the Speaking Schedule page has been updated to reflect my current speaking dates.

Our mail has been forwarded from Connecticut. We thank the nine of you who have sent us non-tax-deductible gifts in response to my fund-raising letter of September 15, 2008, by means of the United States Postal Service. We thank the twenty-eight of you who have donated via PayPal since the posting of that letter. We do need, however, more of those who have the means and the desire to be of assistance to us to respond to that Donations letter.

Finally, I ask for prayers for the repose of the immortal soul of my late father, Dr. Albert Henry Martin Droleskey, who would have turned eighty-nine years of age on this day had he not died on Saturday, September 5, 1992.

Thank you. Sincerely yours in Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, Thomas A. Droleskey

There Can Be No Doubt

Today is the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Pope Pius XII. And although it is possible that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI will announce today that he is proceeding with the "beatification" of this truly saintly pontiff, our last true pope up until the present time, he did indeed sit silent as the memory of Pope Pius XII was defamed, albeit indirectly, by an adherent of the blasphemous Talmud, whom he, Ratzinger/Benedict had invited to speak to the ongoing "synod" of conciliar "bishops" taking place at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in Rome, Italy. There can be no doubt, ladies and gentlemen, that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who was under suspicion of heresy by the Holy Office of the Inquisition during the last years of Pope Pius XII's pontificate, himself defames the memory of our last true pope up until now by serving as an apostle for the "new theology" that Pope Pius XII himself condemned in Humani Generis, August 12, 1950. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Also, I would like to call to your attention another masterful article written by Father Anthony Cekada. The article, The Nine vs. Lefebvre: We Resist You to Your Face, dispels all of the sordid disinformation dished out over the years by the Society of Saint Pius X about what happened when "the nine" were expelled by the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. Here is the truth, my friends. Do not believe the disinformation provided by those who adhere to the condemned Gallican notions of obedience and who propagate a false ecclesiology that arrogates unto certain Catholics the right to "pick and choose" which papal directives they are going to obey and which they are going to "resist." Cleave only at all times to those true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism whatsoever and who are adamant in rejecting entirely the alleged "legitimacy" of its false shepherds, men who have devoted their lives to making warfare against the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church.

Fathers Donald Sanborn and Anthony Cekada flank Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, 1981.

There should be another original article on this site tomorrow, October 10, 2008, the sixty-ninth anniversary of Pope Pius XII's first encyclical letter, Summi Pontificatus. It's been slow going recovering from our cross country travels. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.

My first talk at the Fatima Conference is this afternoon at 1:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Saving Time.

Finally, Miss Cecilia Omlor has sent a note to her extensive e-mail list to ask for prayers for her own intentions. Please join us in praying for Miss Omlor, who sends out notes to ask for prayers for so many other souls around the world.

October 7 Republished Article and Late Evening Update

Republished: The Gates of Our Very Souls

Having driven 1434 miles in thirty-six hours (470 on Sunday, 964 on Monday, yesterday), sleep is on the agenda here in Idaho, at least for a few hours.

This republished article is a brief reflection on this glorious feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary. While we commemorate today, of course, the 477th anniversary of the victory wrought by Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary in the Battle of Lepanto, we want to pray Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary as members of her Rosary Confraternity so that we can prevail in the daily battles waged by the devil and his minions at the very gates of our souls. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

There will be an original article tomorrow, October 8, 2008.

Thanks for your prayers. An update on the speaking schedule and the reason for our being in the northwest will be posted soon.

Late-evening update: To say that we are wiped out from our trip from Nebraska to Idaho/Washington would be a rather mild understatement. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls. We are most grateful to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother and Saint Christopher and Saint Raphael and our Guardian Angels for helping us to make our drive safely despite fierce winds in Nebraska on Sunday. And it was our privilege to be present at the priestly ordinations of Father Bernard Welp, CMRI, and Father Alexander Kryssov by His Excellency Bishop Mark A. Pivarunas at Mount Saint Michael's Church in Spokane, Washington, this evening. Please pray for Fathers Bernard and Kyrssov!

A new article will be posted at some point tomorrow, October 8, 2008, the Feast of Saint Bridget of Sweden. I will be speaking at the Fatima Conference during the day on Thursday and Friday, also giving the keynote address on Saturday evening  (as a last-minute replacement). Articles--and there are several in the works--will be written as time permits.

The debate? I was able to hear the last few minutes after the ordination Mass on this glorious Feast of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. An article will be written. Suffice it for now to say that it's 1992 all over again. The naturalist of the false opposite of the "left" is wiping the floor with the naturalist of the false opposite of the "right" as they "debate" who will better use the government to "help" the people. Leftists always win such "debates." True limited government can occur only when civil leaders pursue the common temporal good in light of man's Last End, ruling according to the Mind of Christ the King and for His greater honor and glory as they use the weapon of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary to help them in their tasks.

Yes, it really is either Christ or chaos. Behold the chaos of the madness of a naturalistic, semi-Pelagian political system that is spiraling into the abyss, as pope after pope predicted would happen prior to the dawning of the age of conciliarism fifty years ago this month.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Trapped by Apostasy

Although it appears at this point, thirty days before the farce called elections, that the rabidly pro-abortion United States Senator Barack Hussein Obama, D-Illinois, will defeat the partly pro-abortion United States Senator John Sidney McCain III, R-Arizona, no Catholic can in any way support Obama. Barack Hussein Obama believes in unrestricted baby-killing, whether by chemical or surgical means, under cover of law. He believes, therefore, in the mystical dismemberment of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs. No one can say that he "loves" Our Lord while supporting His destruction in the wombs of mothers under cover of law. No Catholic can say that he "loves" Our Lord while supporting those who use their public careers to advance the slaughter of the preborn. It is that simple.

Trapped by the apostasy of Americanism, however, generations of Catholics have attached themselves to the agency of the "leftist" brand of naturalism, the organized crime family known as the Democrat Party, or look to the agency of the "rightist" brand of naturalism, the organized crime family known as the Republican Party, to "solve" the problems of the day. This is nothing other than a trap, one that has convinced Catholics that there is something short of Catholicism that can "work" to "improve" our nation and the world. There is not. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

There will be a gap of several days before the next article. We have a long trip to make from Omaha, Nebraska, to the inland northwest. There might be an opportunity to write an article while we take a break during our journey. Just keep checking as we ask for your prayers and ask more of you to read and (for those of you who are able and willing) to respond to our Donations letter. Sincerely yours in Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, Thomas A. Droleskey.

Finally, I have learned of the death of Mr. David Quentin Cummings, the father of Mrs. Catherine Margand. Mr. Cummings died on the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi on Shelter Island, New York. We express our condolences to Mrs. Margand and her family, asking prayers especially for the repose of the soul of her father, Mr. Cummings.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Take A Good Look Around You

Take a good look around you. The average American is clueless about First and Last Things. From whence is supposed to come a "revival" of "traditional values?" Most Americans are steeped in the anti-Incarnational errors of Modernity. Most Catholics are fat and happy in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which has made its "reconciliation" with "religious liberty" and "separation of Church and State in direct contravention of the Catholic Church's condemnation of these false propositions From whence is going to come the "restoration" of "traditional values?" Not at the ballot box, my friends. Pope Pius IX called the universal franchise as universal madness. Was he wrong?

"To allow the masses, invariably uninformed and impulsive, to make decisions on the most serious matters, is this not to hand oneself over to chance and deliberately run towards the abyss? Yes, it would be more appropriate to call universal suffrage universal madness and, when the secret societies have taken control of it as is all too often the case, universal falsehood." (Pope Pius IX, Statement to French pilgrims, May 5, 1874, cited by Abbe Georges de Nantes, CCR # 333, p. 24.)

We have run quite deliberately towards the abyss. I decided four years ago to do so no longer. What you do is up to you. There is a case to be made against participation in an absolutely fraudulent, Judeo-Masonic political system. It is defensible by means of the principle of proportionality as applied to a realistic assessment of the concrete circumstances in which we live. Just take a look around you and ask how many of the people you encounter each day conduct their lives in light of First and Last Things. People who do not conduct their lives in light of First and Last Things contribute to the madness produced by the universal franchise. The antidote to this is not to be found at the ballot box. This is not a Catholic country. A champion of Christ the King, such as Garbriel Garcia Moreno in the Nineteenth Century in Ecuador, is not going to emerge here. The antidote to this madness of pluralism is to be found in the true Faith alone.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!

A blessed Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi to all sons and daughters of Saint Francis, especially Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., and Father Francis Miller, O.F.M.

There should be another article tomorrow, Rosary Sunday, October 5, 2008, before we undertake a very, very long drive. Once again, there will be more news on the home front when I believe that it is prudent to relate such news. Just keep praying for us.

October 3 Republished Article

Republished: Holiness Unalloyed

Today is the Feast Day of Saint Therese of Lisieux, Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face. Marie-Frances Therese Martin was born to the holiest of parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, who endeavored to shield their children as much as possible from the influences of the world. The sacrifices made by Louis and Zelie Martin produced five vocations to the consecrated religious life. Zelie Martin's prayers from eternity after her death assisted her husband as he raised one canonized saint and four other daughters who served Holy Mother Church as brides of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The simplicity and love of the Little Flower teaches each of us to pursue holiness as befits redeemed creatures, seeking the things of Heaven in this life so that we may spend our Heaven doing good here on earth. Saint Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!

An original article will be published at some point later today, the First Friday of the month of October, or tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi and the First Saturday of the month of October.

October 2 Articles and Brief Post Debate Comments

Republished: Put Your Guardian Angel to Work at All Times

As we are running off to Holy Mass at the present moment, there is no time for anything other than to note that this article is a brief reflection in honor of the Angels sent to us by God Himself to help guard us in this passing, mortal vale of tears as they seek to guide us to the glories of the Beatific Vision of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Each of us must have a special devotion to--and daily conversation with--or Guardian Angels, making sure to ask them to greet the Guardian Angels of all of the people we meet each day.

Honoring Blasphemers, Dishonoring Our Lord Himself

Wearying is the only word to describe commentaries that must be written on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's various assaults against the Faith. Although he is, from what press reports indicate, resting more than he has in the past, he certainly makes the most of his various public appearances to wage guerilla warfare against the Catholic Faith, never fearing to honor blasphemers as he dishonors Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His saints who have defended Him against those blasphemers in the past. Our Holy Guardian Angels, pray for us.

There should be another original article posted tomorrow, Friday, October 3, 2008, the Feast of Saint Therese of Lisieux of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face (and the First Friday of the month of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary), at some point--in addition to a republished reflection about the Little Flower, in whose honor our daughter took the name Therese as her Confirmation name on July 16, 2008, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The "great debate" will occur this evening. Yes, I will either listen to or watch it via the computer on which these articles are written. I expect both Catholic apostates to do very well, which is why I have made only passing references in one or two articles to Alaska Governor Sarah Heath Palin's inability to answer various questions that have been put to her in the few interviews which her handlers have permitted her to conduct. She will do well enough tonight, I am sure, getting in a zinger or two at Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.'s, support for abortion "rights" at one point or another. Biden will satisfy his own naturalistic constituencies. And nothing will change other than the fact that the average voter will have had his bread and circuses for the evening.

Keep praying your Rosaries. Keep praying your Rosaries.

And, finally, please do read and, if at all possible, respond to our Donations letter.

Some brief post debate comments: Yes, the two penultimate statists and reflexive supporters of Israel have had their debates, which turned out to be pretty much what I expected. Both Senator Biden and Governor Palin articulated their "talking points" competently. Biden got to register his support for Roe v. Wade, which went unanswered by Governor Palin, who was able to demonstrate how "tolerant" she was of the "rights" of those steeped in lives of unrepentant perversity while opposing "marriage" between such persons.

Pope Pius XI, writing in Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930, made it clear that Catholics can never be "tolerant" of "arrangements" that promote sin under cover of law and in popular culture:

Armed with these principles, some men go so far as to concoct new species of unions, suited, as they say, to the present temper of men and the times, which various new forms of matrimony they presume to label "temporary," "experimental," and "companionate." These offer all the indulgence of matrimony and its rights without, however, the indissoluble bond, and without offspring, unless later the parties alter their cohabitation into a matrimony in the full sense of the law.

Indeed there are some who desire and insist that these practices be legitimatized by the law or, at least, excused by their general acceptance among the people. They do not seem even to suspect that these proposals partake of nothing of the modern "culture" in which they glory so much, but are simply hateful abominations which beyond all question reduce our truly cultured nations to the barbarous standards of savage peoples.

Most telling, at least from my perspective, was Governor Palin's reiteration of the late President Ronald Wilson Reagan's American "exceptionalism," that is, the belief that the United States of America is that 'shining city set on a hill" that is destined to "improve" the world by means of spreading "democracy." No, the world is "improved" by the spread of the true Faith.

Those who read this site can draw their own conclusions and to choose to act as they want. I will continue to insist that the devil is the only winner in this system of naturalism, a system that encourages even believing Catholics to try to downplay the importance of a "conservative's" support for public education and American "exceptionalism" in order to defeat the apparently "greater" evil. The devil wins no matter who wins. His agenda is advanced, all to the detriment of the Social Reign of Christ the King.

More at some point tomorrow.

Pray your Rosaries. Pray your Rosaries.

Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, pray for us.

October 1 Article

And Away Goes Shea

This article is an exercise in pure, unadulterated (well, slightly adulterated and attenuated) naturalistic sentimentality that will appeal only to those who have been fans of Major League Baseball and particularly to those who have been fans of the New York Mets. Although I walked out of William A. Shea Municipal Stadium on July 16, 2002, the fact remains that I did attend over 1,600 games there between Saturday, April 18, 1964, and that Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel six years ago now. I should have walked out much earlier. That I did not speaks ill of my willingness to endure the horror of "rock" "music" in the comfortable environs of Shea Stadium for over twenty years. It took the public advertising of a certain pharmaceutical product whose nature is unfit to discuss in public at all, no less in front of thousands of day camping children at a baseball stadium, to drive me out once and for all.

I can't take back the past, however. Shea Stadium was a very important part of my life for over thirty-eight years. The place was full of innocence and joy when it opened as I was oblivious to what I now recognize as the needless strife engendered by competitive sports (listen to Father Charles McGuire's Agony and Contention in Sports). As a flesh and blood human being, I have many fond memories of my days at Shea Stadium, where I became something of a fixture and added a little bit to the "character" of the place as I entertained fans near my season seat. Although I do not regret in the slightest my decision to leave when I did, I have great gratitude for all of the many kindnesses extended to me over the years by the "little" people who worked in the stands and behind-the-scenes in the front office, and I remember these good people in my prayers every day.

Shea Stadium is now closed for business. I will remember this piece of dust, which will be leveled unto dust real soon, and the naturalistic joys I experienced there with great fondness. Yes, I wasted my time, although I did not realize at the time that I was doing so. I must make reparation for that waste of time. Granted. Still and all, I would be a liar if I said that I was not a little misty-eyed when remembering the ballpark personnel, the players of yore, many of whom were Catholics, and my fellow fans. We have to grow up. I grew up after I turned fifty years of age (and as I was promoting a book about the Mets). Then again, God is so generous to us erring sinners that He gives us time to repent of our past sins and mistakes to make reparation to Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This is the month of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary. We should strive to pray extra Rosaries each day this month. There are so many intentions, including for those Catholics who are immersed yet in the ways of naturalism and who consider the Faith as absolutely irrelevant in their daily lives, keeping in mind these words which Saint Paul, who was considered a "madman" by so many worldly people in his own day, wrote in his First Epistle to the Corinthians:

Now we have received not the spirit of this world, but the Spirit that is of God; that we may know the things that are given us from God. Which things also we speak, not in the learned words of human wisdom; but in the doctrine of the Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the sensual man perceiveth not these things that are of the Spirit of God; for it is foolishness to him, and he cannot understand, because it is spiritually examined. But the spiritual man judgeth all things; and he himself is judged of no man. (1 Cor. 12-15.)

Let us be inspired by the examples of the saints from the time of Saint Dominic de Guzman to our days who were devoted to Our Lady's Rosary so that we will use this great spiritual weapon against the forces of naturalism in our own lives in order that our hearts, consecrated as they must be to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, converted away from our sins, which wounded Our Lord once in tim and wound His Mystical Body, the Church Militant on earth, today, and to beat more perfectly with true love for Christ the King and for her, Mary our Immaculate Queen.

We will see on the Last Day, at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead, the fruits produced by our faithful and prayerful recitation of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary each and every day of our lives!

There will be a substantive article tomorrow, October 2, 2008, the Feast of the Guardian Angels, in addition a republished article about our helpers from Heaven, namely, those same Guardian Angels.

Thoughts to Ponder...

"America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded....

"...In the face of this broadmindedness, what the world needs is intolerance."

(Fulton Sheen's "A Plea for Intolerance," 1931)

Memo to President Obama from Pope Pius XI:

"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)

"The whole world is dividing itself into progressives and conservatives. The job of the progressives is to go on making mistakes. The job of the conservatives is to prevent those mistakes from being corrected." Gilbert Keith Chesterton, April 19, 1924

"Know this: it is by very little breaches of regularity that the devil succeeds in introducing the greatest abuses. May you never end up saying: 'This is nothing, this is an exaggeration.'" (Saint Teresa of Avila, Foundations, Chapter Twenty-nine)

"I would give up my life a thousand times, not only for each of the truths of Sacred Scripture, but even more for the least of the ceremonies of the Catholic Church."  (Saint Teresa of Avila, Life, Thirty-three, 3.)
