Superman's Altar Is Not In Good Shape in Rio di Janeiro

God's Just Chastisement Visited Upon the Madness of World Youth Day

Behold the Desolation of Just One of Many Altars of Abomination

(Photographs found on the Veritas Liberavit Vos website)

One of Vatican Radio's correspondents, Sean Patrick Lovett, wrote a report about the conciliar "archbishop" of Rio di Janiero's liturgical travesty on Tuesday evening, July 23, 2013, the Feast of Saint Apollinaris and the Commemoration of Saint Liborius, that gushed with awe-filled wonder at what unfolded during the carefully staged and choreographed outdoor revival ceremony that called itself a "Mass." That report was referenced in yesterday's commentary on this site, Francis The Syncretist.

Mr. Sean Patrick Lovett wrote a slightly different report yesterday, inadvertently describing the extent of God's wrath that reduced the area surrounding the monstrosity that some have dubbed the "Superman Altar" into a mud-drenched war zone:

(Vatican Radio) So the rain finally had its way. It even succeeded in changing the best-laid plans of Popes and men. The Campus Fidei at Guaratiba, originally scheduled to host both the Youth Vigil and the closing Youth Day Mass, is now officially out of bounds.

What until last week was a bucolic, grass-covered, tree-lined park worthy of welcoming any pope, currently looks more like a Florida swamp. Mud and sludge alternates with improvised lakes and marshes – the result of days and nights of incessant rainfall.

The solution?

Well, there is only one. At such short notice, the only alternative is to concentrate everything at Copacabana: the stage is already there, the sound and illumination systems are in place, the facilities and utilities were already tried and tested during the opening youth day Mass on Tuesday.

The location change will even make it easier for the young people themselves, many of whom are already in the area of Copacabana beach. Not to mention the journalists: the international press centre is not even 100 metres away. Pity that security has placed us under “lock-down” – meaning that no one enters or leaves the centre from three hours before the Pope’s arrival until after he leaves. So much for being “on-the-spot”… SPL  (WYD Rio: weather forces change of venue for Sat, Sun events.)

No, God will not mocked.

Remember, God did visit an earthquake upon the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi in Assisi, Italy, on September 26, 1997, just thirty-one days of the eleventh anniversary of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II having presided over a veritable assortment of the friends of Ba'al, who offered "worship" to their false gods, as totally unrelated to the sacrileges that had taken place there. The following photograph says volumes about the loss of all sense of the honor and glory and majesty of the Most Blessed Trinity exhibited by the soon-to-be former "pope's" immediate predecessor:

Assisi I, October 17, 1986

Remember also that flooding devastated the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes twice in the past year.

The first wave of flooding hit Lourdes on October 21, 2012, just eight days after it had been reported shortly after it had been reported that Giovanni Montini/Paul The Sick's cause for "beatification" was approved by the conciliar Congregation for the Causes of the Saints (see Paul VI to be beatified soon and France assesses damage of Lourdes flooding):

A massive clean-up was under way on Sunday in the French pilgrimage town of Lourdes, famed for its Catholic sanctuaries, after flash floods forced the evacuation of some 450 pilgrims and closed the main shrine.

Flooding at the Grotto of Massabielle, Round 1

A second wave of flooding devastated the Grotto of Massabielle on the very day, Tuesday, June 18, 2013, that the ANSA news service in Italy reported that Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II's alleged second "miracle" had been approved by the conciliar congregation for the causes of making phony saints and was simply awaiting "papal" approval for their joint "canonization" (see Two For The Price Of One, part one and Two For The Price Of One, part two and Vatican-sources-say-second-miracle-approved-for-John-Paul-II):

France Flood

June 19, 2013, the day after the rains hit Lourdes, France

Oh, yes, there was also the little matter of that bolt of lightning that struck the dome of the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican the very day that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI announced his resignation. What day was that? You are so very inquisitive! Ah, the day? Yes, it was Monday, February 11, 2013, the Feast of the Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes:

The photographs displayed above are merely symbolic of the devastation wrought in the vineyard of Christ the King during this time of apostasy and betrayal as a result of the dawning of the age of conciliarism.

As we know, conciliarism is in full bloom now as the spiritual abomination that is World Youth Day continues on its wretched course.

Yesterday, Thursday, July 24, 2013, the Feast of Saint James the Greater and the Commemoration of Saint Christopher, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis played the role of the consummate Sillonist as he toured the shantytown area of Rio de Janeiro known as Varginha:

2. I would also like to tell you that the Church, the “advocate of justice and defender of the poor in the face of intolerable social and economic inequalities which cry to heaven” (Aparecida Document, 395), wishes to offer her support for every initiative that can signify genuine development for every person and for the whole person. Dear friends, it is certainly necessary to give bread to the hungry – this is an act of justice. But there is also a deeper hunger, the hunger for a happiness that only God can satisfy, the hunger for dignity. There is neither real promotion of the common good nor real human development when there is ignorance of the fundamental pillars that govern a nation, its non-material goods: life, which is a gift of God, a value always to be protected and promoted; the family, the foundation of coexistence and a remedy against social fragmentation; integral education, which cannot be reduced to the mere transmission of information for purposes of generating profit; health, which must seek the integral well-being of the person, including the spiritual dimension, essential for human balance and healthy coexistence; security, in the conviction that violence can be overcome only by changing human hearts. (Visit to the Community of Varginha.)

The family as the "foundation of coexistence and a remedy against social fragmentation"?

No talk of the family as the domestic cell of Holy Mother Church?

What is "integral education"?

Who provides this?

The civil state?

Perhaps we should call upon the wisdom of Pope Pius XI, contained in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929:

7. It is therefore as important to make no mistake in education, as it is to make no mistake in the pursuit of the last end, with which the whole work of education is intimately and necessarily connected. In fact, since education consists essentially in preparing man for what he must be and for what he must do here below, in order to attain the sublime end for which he was created, it is clear that there can be no true education which is not wholly directed to man's last end, and that in the present order of Providence, since God has revealed Himself to us in the Person of His Only Begotten Son, who alone is "the way, the truth and the life," there can be no ideally perfect education which is not Christian education. . . .

60. Hence every form of pedagogic naturalism which in any way excludes or weakens supernatural Christian formation in the teaching of youth, is false. Every method of education founded, wholly or in part, on the denial or forgetfulness of original sin and of grace, and relying on the sole powers of human nature, is unsound. Such, generally speaking, are those modern systems bearing various names which appeal to a pretended self-government and unrestrained freedom on the part of the child, and which diminish or even suppress the teacher's authority and action, attributing to the child an exclusive primacy of initiative, and an activity independent of any higher law, natural or divine, in the work of his education.

61. If any of these terms are used, less properly, to denote the necessity of a gradually more active cooperation on the part of the pupil in his own education; if the intention is to banish from education despotism and violence, which, by the way, just punishment is not, this would be correct, but in no way new. It would mean only what has been taught and reduced to practice by the Church in traditional Christian education, in imitation of the method employed by God Himself towards His creatures, of whom He demands active cooperation according to the nature of each; for His Wisdom "reacheth from end to end mightily and ordereth all things sweetly."[41]

62. But alas! it is clear from the obvious meaning of the words and from experience, that what is intended by not a few, is the withdrawal of education from every sort of dependence on the divine law. So today we see, strange sight indeed, educators and philosophers who spend their lives in searching for a universal moral code of education, as if there existed no decalogue, no gospel law, no law even of nature stamped by God on the heart of man, promulgated by right reason, and codified in positive revelation by God Himself in the ten commandments. These innovators are wont to refer contemptuously to Christian education as "heteronomous," "passive","obsolete," because founded upon the authority of God and His holy law.

63. Such men are miserably deluded in their claim to emancipate, as they say, the child, while in reality they are making him the slave of his own blind pride and of his disorderly affections, which, as a logical consequence of this false system, come to be justified as legitimate demands of a so-called autonomous nature. (Pope Pius XI, Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)

When does Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis speak of Original Sin or Sanctifying Grace? (Never is the correct answer in the even you are scratching your heads.)

Who provides access to "health care?

The civil state and its social engineers?

Are programs such as ObamaCare and all other socialized medicine/income redistribution programs around the world now a mandatory part of what is considered to be Catholic doctrine?

What is coexistence?

Did the Apostles preach "coexistence" or conversion? Was "coexistence" the mandate given to them by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ when He ascended to the Father's right hand on Ascension Thursday forty days after his Resurrection on Easter Sunday?

Let us face facts: Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is, whether or not he realizes it, a Sillonist, a man who believes in precisely the sort of corrupted "gospel" of "social action" that was analyzed and condemned by Pope Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:

To reply to these fallacies is only to easy; for whom will they make believe that the Catholic Sillonists, the priests and seminarists enrolled in their ranks have in sight in their social work, only the temporal interests of the working class? To maintain this, We think, would be an insult to them. The truth is that the Sillonist leaders are self-confessed and irrepressible idealists; they claim to regenerate the working class by first elevating the conscience of Man; they have a social doctrine, and they have religious and philosophical principles for the reconstruction of society upon new foundations; they have a particular conception of human dignity, freedom, justice and brotherhood; and, in an attempt to justify their social dreams, they put forward the Gospel, but interpreted in their own way; and what is even more serious, they call to witness Christ, but a diminished and distorted Christ. Further, they teach these ideas in their study groups, and inculcate them upon their friends, and they also introduce them into their working procedures. Therefore they are really professors of social, civic, and religious morals; and whatever modifications they may introduce in the organization of the Sillonist movement, we have the right to say that the aims of the Sillon, its character and its action belong to the field of morals which is the proper domain of the Church. In view of all this, the Sillonist are deceiving themselves when they believe that they are working in a field that lies outside the limits of Church authority and of its doctrinal and directive power. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

This is precisely the ethos of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis.

It is the whole raison d'etre of the "social doctrine" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

It is the moving force behind "World Youth Day," which one twenty-seven year-old participant from Venezuela said "is similar to going to Mecca for Muslims," said Chacin. "Every Catholic, no matter what age, should do it at least once in his or her lifetime." .  (400,000 brave wind, rain for WYD opening. No, I can't make this up. I am too tired.)

Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis the Sillonist's "diminished and distorted Christ" was also on full display as he greeted the World Youth Day participants at Copacabana Beach, which will now be the center of the entirety of this abomination now that the "Superman Altar's" grounds have been rendered a muddy wasteland, yesterday evening as he preached to the young about "putting on faith" even though the faith that he, Francis the Sillonist, wants them to learn has nothing to do with the immutable Sacred Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication. And thus it will continue today and tomorrow before concluding on Sunday, July 28, 2013, the Tenth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saints Nazarius, Innocent, Celsus and Victor.

Keep praying your Rosaries in reparation for the many sins against the honor and glory and majesty of the Most Blessed Trinity and the devastation of souls that are being televised live for the whole world to see.

This will all pass at the time God has appointed for it to end. We must simply remain faithful to the end as we offer up the sufferings of the present moment with joy and gratitude through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary as the possession of the glory of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity in Heaven is worth whatever suffering we must endure as we seek to make reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world.

Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart will triumph in the end.

Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?

Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!
