Complete Creatures of Caesars and His Minions

Part Two

As we have seen in the past eight days, Caesar and his minions waste no time in using every crisis to expand the powers of the monster civil state of Modernity.

Just look how quickly the armored Humvees were roving the streets of Watertown, Massachusetts, which was placed in a complete lock down as citizens were told to "shelter in place."

Yes, caesar and his minions, having practiced the evacuation of citizens from the City of New Orleans, Louisiana, during Hurricane Katrina, in 2005, and made use of Superstorm Sandy nearly six months ago to do the same. There will come a time when Caesar and his minions will come a calling for us, at which we point we will be rounded up and separated from our family members just as happened during the periods of persecution by the Roman emperors between 67 A.D. and 313 A.D. and as happened in England and Ireland during the Protestant Revolution and, among other historical examples, as happened when the French of Acadia during the Grande Derangement in 1755.

As has been noted many times on this site, most the American people have been lulled to sleep by bread and circuses and permitted themselves to let Caesar bribe them into picking their pockets to fund supposed "free services" that are not free and that wind up curbing legitimate human liberties while institutionalizing many grave social and moral evils in the name of "liberty" and "human rights." We have become a country full of boiled frogs, something which the caesars and their minions in both major organized crime families of naturalism use for their own electoral and personal gain.

More and more draconian, Orwellian legislation has been passed on a steady basis since the passage and extension of the so-called "Patriot Act" in 2001, thus subjecting ordinary citizens to all manner of surveillance. We are all considered to be potential "suspects" who have to be carefully monitored and controlled. It is just a matter of time before this all comes to its ultimate conclusion: the placing of "suspects" into concentration camps, which might be called "security centers," in the name of national "security."

Regardless of the "who done it" aspects of the Boston Marathon bombings, it is certainly true that the current caesar, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetro, and the minions in his statist administration of the false opposite of the naturalist "left" have gone to extraordinary lengths to play down any connection whatsover between the murderous actions of various Mohammedans in this country for purely political and ideololgical reasons. This enables caesar and his minions to monitor us all while scolding us about coming to "rash judgments" about certain "groups" of people.

As noted a week ago today, the officials in the Obama administration refused at first to term Major Nidal Malik Hasan, M.D., U.S.A., who shot forty-three people and killed thirteen of these people at Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, November 5, 2009, as a Mohammedan terrorist (see Killing In The Name of The Religion of Peace). It was only much later that the officials of the current presidential administration used the word "terrorism" to refer to Nidal's killing spree even though he was in contact with an American born jihadist, Anwar al-Awlaki, who was killed in an American drone attack in Yemen on September 30, 2011, who had urged his followers to kill Americans. Officials of the United States Army and in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) knew of this connection in advance of the Nidal Malik Hasan's shootings and did nothing as they did not consider him a threat. Anyone who points out these facts is termed an "Islamohobe," which is why Caesar Obamus and his minions say that they do not know why the Tsarnaev brothers acted as they did.

Well, one of them gave a clue to the owner of the Mercedes Benz sports utility vehicle that they carjacked on Thursday evening, April 18, 2013, telling him that the only reason that they were not going to kill him was because he, the owner, was not an American. As I alluded to on the home page yesterday morning, is the driver part of a government-concoted conspiracy to "set up" Tamerlan and Dzohkhar Tsarnaev for crimes they either did not commit or were enticed into committing by agents of the United States of America or by agents of Israel's Mossad in order to have some kind of pretext for yet another American war, this time against the Islamic Republic of Iran? If this is so, then how could the owner of the sports utility vehicle know where to be in order to have the carjacking occur by men who were heavily armed? Why wouldn't this caesar, Obama/Soetoro, choose one of us "right wing extremists" to choose for a patsy or "false flag"? Why choose a Mohammedan when he has sought to protect them so very much? (Mind you, these are merely rhetorical questions. I have no time to engage in any colloquy on these questions as they are not the focus of my writing.)

What I can state for certain is that a believing Mohammedan takes the blasphemous Koran seriously, and the blasphemous Koran, which was kissed by the soon-to-be "canonized" Karol Wojtyla/JohnPaul II and esteemed on at least two occasions in 2008 by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who termed it "that dear book," teaches adherents to kill infidels.

Was Charles Martel part of a "government conspiracy" to start the Battle of  Tours (Poitiers) on October 10, 732, that save France from being overrun by the Mohammedan hordes who have overtaken the eldest daughter of the Church in recent decades by means of procreation after being invited to work in the country following its own decline in the work force as a result of the chemical and surgical assassination of innocent preborn children?

Were the Crusades part of an effort by our true popes to rile up the Catholic masses behind the papacy as many Protestants and other rationalists assert?

Did Pope Saint Pius V "misunderstand" the reason that the Turkish Fleet was sailing in the Adriatic Sea in the direction of the Bay of Lepanto on October 7, 1531?

Was King John Sobieski of Poland wrong to have judged the Mohammedan threat to the Catholics of Europe when he turned back the Turks at the Gates of Vienna on September 12, 1683?

Nothing has changed.

Nothing.

Sure, Zionists displace, dispossess and kill Catholic, Orthodox and Mohammedan Arabs alike.

Well, Mohammedans kill. It is part of their nature.

Did some agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation forge the information that Dzohkar Tsarnaev gave to them in writing from his prison ward hospital bed yesterday? Why is it so hard to believe that the brothers Tsarnaev believed in Mohamedanism and that Dzohkhar grew in his fidelity to this false, blasphemous religion under the influence of his now dead brother, Taleran?

Two U.S. officials said preliminary evidence from the younger man's interrogation suggests the brothers were motivated by religious extremism but were apparently not involved with Islamic terrorist organizations.

Dzhokhar communicated with his interrogators in writing, precluding the type of back-and-forth exchanges often crucial to establishing key facts, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly.

They cautioned that they were still trying to verify what they were told by Tsarnaev and were looking at such things as his telephone and online communications and his associations with others.

In the criminal complaint outlining the allegations, investigators said Tsarnaev and his brother each placed a knapsack containing a bomb in the crowd near the finish line of the 26.2-mile race.

The FBI said surveillance-camera footage showed Dzhokhar manipulating his cellphone and lifting it to his ear just instants before the two blasts.

After the first blast, a block away from Dzhokhar, "virtually every head turns to the east ... and stares in that direction in apparent bewilderment and alarm," the complaint says. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, "virtually alone of the individuals in front of the restaurant, appears calm." (Faith Eyed as Motive in Bombing, As Suspect Communicates by Writing.)

 

This report is erroneous in that the brothers Tsarnaev were not motivated by "religious extremism." Not at all. They were motivated by complete fidelity to Mohammedanism, which is a politically protected species in Western nations, including here in the United States of America. Why is this so difficult to comprehend and to accept?

Look at the simple fact that no governmental agency in the United States of America or elsewhere in the "civilized" West dares to seek to teach Mohmmedans how to "limit" the size of their families and compare that with the systematic efforts to promote "family planning," whether by "natural" (see Forty-Three Years After Humanae Vitae, Always Trying To Find A Way and Planting Seeds of Revolutionary Change) or "artificial" means, among the rest of the population, and how social expressions of disapproval, whether verbally or by gestures, are directed at even the sight of large families in public places, no less large families with mothers dressed in modest feminine attire (as to immodest feminine or masculine attire) and children dressed modestly.

We know many good, believing Catholic parents who have been blessed by God with large numbers of children who have suffered all manner of social disapproval for their fidelity to absolute Sovereignty of God over the sanctity and fecundity of marriage.

The mother one such family in the eastern part of the United States of America encountered a cashier at a supermarket who was asounded at the large number of children with her in the store. "Are these all your children?" the cashier asked increduously. "No, of cousre not!" the mother, being a quick-witted resident of an eastern state replied. "The other half are at home. We can't all fit in one car." The cashier needed smelling salts to try to absorb a mother who had eleven living children.

Another family we know in a Midwestern state has suffered terrible social stigmas from having nine children. The traditional Catholic mother of the large family was asked in a very condescending manner as though she was an igorant fool, "Do you know where children come from?" Her husband is wont to say in such circumstances, "Well, I do hope that God will bless us with a large family," at which point his wife usually says, "Yes, this is my prayer as well." They are considered "odd" even by some other "traditionally-minded" Catholics. Such has been the success of the ideology of "family limitation" that was described as follows by Alfredo Cardinal Ottatviani at the "Second" Vatican Council when some bishops were expressing approval of it:

"I am not pleased with the statement in the text that married couples may determine the number of children they are to have. Never has this been heard of in the Church. My father was a laborer, and the fear of having many children never entered my parents' minds, because they trusted in Providence. [I am amazed] that yesterday in the Council it should have been said that there was doubt whether a correct stand had been taken hitherto on the principles governing marriage. Does this not mean that the inerrancy of the Church will be called into question? Or was not the Holy Spirit with His Church in past centuries to illuminate minds on this point of doctrine?" Only a handful of mostly socially stigmatized Catholics, some scattered numbers of Protestants and Mohammedans reject "family planning," and it is only the latter group, who have become Americanized in many ways, that can continue to propagate itself without any fear of social stigma or governmental pressure to "reform."

Indeed, there was an encounter I had a while ago now while waiting at a checkout line at a store at a store I rarely patronize. The woman who was ahead of me was explaining to cashier that she was buying a large number of groceries for the father and his double-digit number of children following the unexpected death of a young mother, who had suffered pretty much the same kind of social stigma as the other two mothers with large families cited just above. The purchaser was genuinely concerned about the temporal welfare of the bereaving family members and was even involved in a community effort to assist them. She also, though, exchanged a "knowing look," shall we say, to the cashier when she said, "All those children" before her voice trailed off without completing her sentence. The cashier nodded her understanding and agreement.

It was then my turn to interject as a loudmouth New Yorker.

"Are you talking about the [name of the family]." The woman said, yes, whereupon I explained as follows:

The husband and wife of the family you are talking about fulfilled their duties to welcome children generously according the Providence of God. They provided for their children temporally as best as they could. More importantly, however, the mother was a truly valiant Catholic woman who, along with her very hard-working husband, taught her children to love the true God of Divine Revelation as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His Catholic Church. She dressed the boys in jackets and ties for Holy Mass and made sure that the girls were modestly dressed as girls.

The children conducted themselves with perfect comportment at Mass and the older children helped to 'police' matters if any of them got out of line. Even though her death is a tragedy, to be sure, Catholics think supernaturally and accept everything as happening within the Providence of God. This valiant Catholic woman is now perfectly united to her husband and children in eternity, whether in Purgatory or in Heaven, that she ever was while alive physically her here on the face of this earth.  Her prayers from eternity will help her spouse and her children temporally and, more importantly, eternally. And they all now have an extra incentive to seek after Heaven: to reunited with their mother again in the glory of the Beatific Vision of God, the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity even after the Last Day, if not before then, presuming that they all die in a state of Sanctifying Grace and follow their mother's example of getting to Confession regularly and praying their family Rosary assiduously."

 

The woman with whom I spoke looked at me with pity and a bit of disdain, something that would never do if a Mohemmedan explained the reason why he had a lage family.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Caesar and his minions believe that we, believing Catholics, are their complete creatures, exempting Mohammedans because they believe in a "politically acceptable" religion that must never be criticized or whose actual tenets ever discussed or even brought to light.

Why go to the lengths that both the George Walker Bush and Barrack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro administrations have gone to term Mohammedanism falsely as a "religion peace" while at the same time fostering the limitation of the size of families among the rest of the population?

Believing Catholics are the ones who must be monitored and reported to the "authorities" by their neigbhors as we are judged to be steeped in a religion of "hate" and are thus "mentally ill." Remember, one of the reasons that the caesar and his minions want to check the "mental health" records of those who seeek to purchase firearms is to exclude people such as ourselves who hold politically proscibed beliefs that are said to constitute "threats" to national security and well-being.

Thus it is that although I am full well aware of the fact of deceiful nature of officials of the government of the United States of America and of those who work for the security or intelligence agencies of other countries, something that was noted three days ago in Blood Stained From The Very Beginning, not everything that happens has been orchestrated by governmental or quasi-governmental officials. These officials exploit tragedies such as the Boston Marathon bombings and shootings such as those that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the Town of Newtown, Connecticut, on Friday, December 14, 2012. This is beyond argument.

However, to assert that every such tragedy is a "government conspiracy" gets a little tiresome, admitting that I am a skeptic about the events of December 11, 2011, about the foreknowledge of American officials and about the role played by the government of the State of Israel. We have more to do with our time than trying to "figure out" who did what.

It is enough to know that this is all a chastisement for the misuse of liberty in this country from its very inception as blasphemy and idolatry were institutionalized by means of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United Statesof America in the name of the heresy of "religious liberty." There is no putting the "toothpaste back in the tube." That is the point of the work of this site. And this madness has been enabled and permitted to accelerate so dramatically in the past five decades because of the false doctrines, sacreligious and sacramentally barren liturgical rites and "novel" pastoral practices of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which has made its "official reconcilation" with the anti-Incarnational civil state of Modernity.

Guess what, folks? Antichrist is on the march. To quote a presbyter in a Motu community we knew a decade ago now, "We better prayed up." None of the conspiracy theorists, most of whom are Protestants of one sort or another, can help you save your immortal soul and most of their "predictions" about future events have been proved false timeand time again. We do not need to "know" all of the details of every situation. We need to make reparation for our sins and to console the good God by means of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary.

No matter who is responsible for actions of the Tsarnaev brothers if they were own "pawns" or "false flags" as some assert, nations that permit under cover of the civil law and glorify in popular culture grave violations of each of the Ten Commandments must collapse and fall as the only sure foundation, although not an infallible guarantor, of a well-ordered nation is the Social Reign of Christ the King. Nations that permit the madness of "religious liberty" and rank licentiousness in the name of "freedom" must fall into chaos, decay and destruction.

A book, Cross and Crown, that contains three essays by a Swiss priest, Father Robert Mader (1875-1945), that were published in Das Neus Volk in Switzerland between 1926 and 1934, amplies this point very well:

 

The world is a book. Every creature is a sentence in it. The Author and Publisher is the Triune God, with the co-operation of the angels and the human beings. It is the task of human intelligence to read God's thoughts from this book.

Every book has its basic theme, its dominant idea, its soul, a word that says everything, because it contains everything. The word that represents theme and content of the entire creation and the history of the world is called Jesus the King.

One can only understand this completely when the book has been read to the end and one can look back. Only Judgment Day, the final chapter of the book, will bring complete clarity as to the meaning of creation. Only when the Sign of Man appears in the heavens, when the lightning flashes from the beginning to the end, shall we understand the mysterious why and whererfore of all that happens in Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the immortal King of the centuries.

When the Sign of the Son of Man does not shine in heaven, then the world is robbed of its Light. Sun, moon and sgtars are of no use. One sees nothing, one undestands nothing. One stumbles about in the dark and trips on all the paths. It is like a spiritual eclipse of the sun over the universe.

St. John painted for us the image of the eclipse of the sun as the great fact of the world without Christ in masterful strokes. Through Jesus, the Word, "all things were made...and without him was made nothing that was made. In him was life, and the life was the ligh of men. And the light shineth in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it" (Jn. 1:3-5).

Certainly the spiritual eclipes applies to the time before Jesus. Yet despite two thousand years of Chrisitanity, it exists still today for a great part of Christendom. The words of St. John the Baptist are still valid: "...there hath stood one in the midst of you, whom you know not" (Jn. 1:26).

Jesus is by no means so well-known and loved as one ought to expect after nineteen centuries. Oh yes, they preach and talk and write a great deal about religious problems in our days. But the central Truth of our Religion: Jesus the Redemption of the world, the Life of souls and of nations, the Head and the Heart of society, Jesus the King, is perceived in the immense, general, exclusively saving implications of that Truth only barely and only by a few.

The sign of the Son of Man indeed can still be found in the churches, in the homes of Christian families, int he cemeteries and on the breasts of a few pioius souls. However, it is not, as it once was, the sun that lights the day, that directs and influences all of public life, the thoughts and works of people. We are living in a period of spiritual night, cold, Christ-less night.

This ignorance is a world disaster. For it is always a precursor of serious catastrophes when leaders of the peoples have become so blind that they cannot distinguish between day and night, true and false, the path and the chasm. Even worse than blindness, not being able to see, is not wanting to see anymore.

Right now this is the state of a large part of the human race. Whatever name it may carr, whether liberalism, neutrality, non-denominationalism or laicism, the sin of the modern world is that it does not want to see the Sign of the Son of Man int he heavens anymore.

Jesus is no longer recognized as public, commanding, life-giving Power. According to the valid constitutions, He has officially nothing more to say in the parliaments, in the halls of ministries, in the courts, in the schools and in the workshops. At most His participation in the discussion is occasionally tolerated.

If one knows Who Jesus is: the Creator and the Conserver, the Savior, the Owner of the earth, then one must regard the liberal sin, that of fundamental social refusal to recognize the spiritual monarchy of Christ over society, as the most grievous sin committed since Good Friday. It is deicide, God-murder, committed in the name of law and of Satan, true Antichristianity. Cardinal Mercier therefore rightly called the official apostasy of the nations the greatest crime of our times.

At present this is the situation of the Sign of the Son of Man. They do not want it to shine in the heavens. Just like back then on Good Friday: We will not have Him reign over us!

But someday it will be otherwise. The world will not reamin liberal forever. The artificial stars of earthly dimensions that want to eclipse the Sun of Our Lord will fall from heaven. Then will the Sign of the Sun of Man flare up in the heavens, and they shall see "the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God, and coming in the clouds of heaven" (Mt. 26:64).

The Judgment Day will be the day of great revelations, not only in the sense that there will be no secrets anymore between persons, but also because it will reveal the secret of Jesus the King to all of the world. It will be a sort of new Epiphany, a Feast of the Appearing of the Lord, but more grandiose, more general than the Feast of the Three Kings. It will be a sort of Coronation before all the nations of the earth and all the hosts of heaven.

The notion of the absolute, exclusive, unlimited Kingship of Jesus over the entire human race and the entire universe is one of the most noble, but unfortunately also one of the most forgotten truths of our faith.

We have called the world a book. In this book, Jesus is not only the most interesting and most beautiful chapter, but also the central, dominating idea of the book in its entirety. We must search out this Holy Name on every page and regard everything in its light. When God wanted to call creation into being, He had only one great thought, an immense plan, a dominant idea, one Word: the Word Jesus Christ. Everthing that exists has value and meaning in God, only insofar as it is member and organ of the holy Humanity of Jesus, an ornamen of the robe of His glory, an image of His perfection, or a footstool for His feet.

St. Paul described the central thought of creation in firm strokes at the beginning of his Epistle to the Colossians: He "is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For in him were all thigns created on heaven and on earth, visible and invisbile, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and in him. And he is before all, and by him all things consists" (1 Col. 1: 14-17).

Similar expressions are used in the Epistle to the Hebrews: "God...hath spoken to us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world...For in that he heath subjected all things to him, he left nothing not subject to him" (Heb. 1:1-2; 2-8).

This language leaves us in no doubt. The Kingship of Jesus is not just one chapter, but rather the whole theme of the history of creation and the world. Jesus is all in all.

This idea is even more sharply delineated in St. Paul's teaching on the Church. The Church is the Body of Christ, Christ the Head of the Church. Head and Body together form an inseparable, mystical, mysterious Unity. The name of this inseparable, mystical Unity is (because it is taken from the Head) Christ. Christ and HIs Church, Head and Body bound to one another, says St. Augustine, are only one being, a single Christ. We have not only become Christians. "We are Christ."

"Church" is just another name of Christ united with the members. The Church has its being onlyin and with and through Him. Christ is all in all, Way, Truth and Life in the Church. The same is true of Chruch history.

Jesus will be all in all in the fullest sense on Judgment DAy. From that day on there will be no more lords and no more kings, there will not even be any more popes. Only one will be Lord, one will be King, one will be the High Priest, "when he shall have brought to nought pricipality, and power, and virtue" (I Cor. 15:24). Even the temple will be superfluous in the City of God. "For the Lord God Almighty is the temple thereof, and the Lamb. And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it. For...the Lamb is the lamp thereof" (Apoc. 21: 22-23). So it is written. Everything belongs to Christ. Jesus is all in all. The theme of creation wil hae reached its completion. Cosmology wil beocme Christology, the study of the world will become the teaching of Christ.

Creation is a a book about Jesus the King. "And i saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne, a book written within and without, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel, proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man was able, neither in heaven, nor on earth, nor under the earth, to open the book, nor to look on it. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open the book, nor to see it. And one of the ancients said to me: Wee not, behold the lion of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, an to loose the seven seals thereof.

"An the Lamb...came and took the book out of the right hand of him that son on the throne. And when he had opened the book...they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation...And every creatures, which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and suchas are in the sea, and all that are in them: I heard all saying: To the Lamb benediction, and honor, and glory, and power, for ever and ever" (Apoc. 5: 1-5, 7, 9, 13).

Either science will humbly return to Jesus, or the book of creation and history will remain for science an absolute riddle. For they tell of Christ. May the song of creation become also the song of mankind: Jesus my King! My Jesus, my All!

Come, let us go there and make Him King, Him alone, King of minds and hearts, the King of the nations as well! Do you hear the bells rining for the immortal King of the centuries? The world is gradually growing tired of being liberal, far from God and shy of Christ. It is seeking the Sign of the Son of Man. It is the seeking the King. Father Mader was merely echoing the voice of our true popes, who spoke as one concerning the necessity of the Social Reign of Christ the King and what must happen to men when It is not recognized and obeyed. They must fall apart.

Father Mader also sounded a theme that had been expressed so clearly by Louis-Edouard-François-Desiré Cardinal Pie, the Bishop of Poitiers, France, from 1849 to 1880, whose writing had the support of Popes Pius IX, Leo XIII, St. Pius X and Benedict XV (the latter two long after Cardinal Pie's death, having studied his writings in great depth and approving of them without any complaint), wrote in the Nineteenth Century:

 

"If Jesus Christ," proclaims Msgr. Pie in a magnificent pastoral instruction, "if Jesus Christ Who is our light whereby we are drawn out of the seat of darkness and from the shadow of death, and Who has given to the world the treasure of truth and grace, if He has not enriched the world, I mean to say the social and political world itself, from the great evils which prevail in the heart of paganism, then it is to say that the work of Jesus Christ is not a divine work. Even more so: if the Gospel which would save men is incapable of procuring the actual progress of peoples, if the revealed light which is profitable to individuals is detrimental to society at large, if the scepter of Christ, sweet and beneficial to souls, and perhaps to families, is harmful and unacceptable for cities and empires; in other words, if Jesus Christ to whom the Prophets had promised and to Whom His Father had given the nations as a heritage, is not able to exercise His authority over them for it would be to their detriment and temporal disadvantage, it would have to be concluded that Jesus Christ is not God". . . .

"To say Jesus Christ is the God of individuals and of families, but not the God of peoples and of societies, is to say that He is not God. To say that Christianity is the law of individual man and is not the law of collective man, is to say that Christianity is not divine. To say that the Church is the judge of private morality, but has nothing to do with public and political morality, is to say that the Church is not divine."

In fine, Cardinal Pie insists:

"Christianity would not be divine if it were to have existence within individuals but not with regard to societies."

Fr. de St. Just asks, in conclusion:

"Could it be proven in clearer terms that social atheism conduces to individualistic atheism?" (Selected Writings of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers, Catholic Action Resource Center.)

Some might protest that Cardinal Pie's "views" were "private" and that they did not express the mind of Holy Mother Church even in the late Nineteenth Century. Such a patently absurd contention flies in the face of the fact that Pope Leo XIII elevated him to the College of Cardinals shortly before Cardinal Pie's death and that Pope Saint Pius X studied the Bishop of Poitier's writing practically every single day:

Barbier, Histoire du catholicisme liberal es du catholicisme social en France, vol. IV, p. 4, observed that the motto of the pontificate and a large part of the first encyclical letter [E Supremi, October 4, 1903] were taken from the Pastoral Letter published by Msgr. Pie when he took possession of his See of Poitiers in 1849. There is nothing strange about this. We have seen that, since his time in Treviso, Msgr. Sarto was acquainted with the writings of this great French anti-Liberal bishop. If we compare the text of the Encyclical with that of the Pastoral Letter (Euvres de Msgr. l'eveque de Poitiers), there is a clear literary dependence in the first part of the Encyclical. On the other hand, the three-point program set forth by Pius X is his own. On two other occasions, at least, direct literary dependence can be seen between the writing of Msgr. "[St.] Pius X, giving audience in the French seminary, declared to have 'often read and re-read' the works of Cardinal Pie . . . . This veneration of [St.] Pius X for the great Bishop of Poitiers is demonstrated for us by this account found in Canon [Paul] Vigue's 'Select Pages of Cardinal Pie': "A priest from Poitiers has recalled that one day he had the honor of having been introduced into the cabinet of the Supreme Pontiff, [St.] Pius X, in the company of a religious who as also from Poitiers. 'Oh! the diocese of Poitiers," the Holy Father exclaimed, raising his hands, when he heard the name Poitiers mentioned. "I have almost the entire works of your Cardinal,' the saintly Pontiff continued, 'and, for years, there has hardly been a day that I have not read some of its pages.' We are creatures of Christ the King as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His Catholic Church, not of caesar and his minions. Anyone who thinks that the United States of America as currently constituted can be saved is mistaken. All must continue to fall apart absent Christ the King, and no naturalist or conspiracy theorist has anything worthwhile to teach you as all you need to know is contained in the Book Who is Christ the King.

Good.

We must be calm in the storms that beset us, both ecclesiastically and civilly. The words of Our Lady to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill are as relevant now as they were in 1531:

Know for certain that I am the perfect and a perpetual Virgin Mary, Mother of the True God. . . . Here I will show and offer my love, my compassion, my help and my protection to the people. I am your merciful Mother, the Mother of all those who love me, of those who cry to me, of those who have confidence in me. Here I will hear their weeping and their sorrows and will remedy and alleviate their suffering, necessities and misfortunes. . . . Listen and let it penetrate into your heart. . . . Do not be troubled or weighed down with grief. So do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else that you need?

 

As we remain claim as we enfold ourselves in the crossing of Our Lady's arms in the midst of so many snares and trap and as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our state in life permits, we should also remember this injunction of Pope Pius XI, contained in Quas Primas, December 11, 1925:

We firmly hope, however, that the feast of the Kingship of Christ, which in future will be yearly observed, may hasten the return of society to our loving Savior. It would be the duty of Catholics to do all they can to bring about this happy result. Many of these, however, have neither the station in society nor the authority which should belong to those who bear the torch of truth. This state of things may perhaps be attributed to a certain slowness and timidity in good people, who are reluctant to engage in conflict or oppose but a weak resistance; thus the enemies of the Church become bolder in their attacks. But if the faithful were generally to understand that it behooves them ever to fight courageously under the banner of Christ their King, then, fired with apostolic zeal, they would strive to win over to their Lord those hearts that are bitter and estranged from him, and would valiantly defend his rights.

Moreover, the annual and universal celebration of the feast of the Kingship of Christ will draw attention to the evils which anticlericalism has brought upon society in drawing men away from Christ, and will also do much to remedy them. While nations insult the beloved name of our Redeemer by suppressing all mention of it in their conferences and parliaments, we must all the more loudly proclaim his kingly dignity and power, all the more universally affirm his rights.
