Forty Years of Emboldening, Appeasing, and Enabling Killers Part Twoby Thomas A. Droleskey Among the many supporters of abject moral evils to be emboldened, appeased and enabled by the Modernists who conceived of, brought to birth and have evangelized in behalf of a false church that is the counterfeit ape of the Catholic Church are Mario Matthew Cuomo and his son, Andrew Mark Cuomo, both of whom have used their public careers to support the chemical and surgical assassination of the innocent preborn. As I have noted on this site in the past,
Mario Matthew Cuomo said in a debate held in Albany, New York, on August
25, 1974. among the three individuals vying for the Democrat Party
lieutenant governorship nomination (State Assemblyman Anthony Olivieri and State Senator Mary Anne
Krupsak were Cuomo's opponents), that he would have voted against the
1970 bill that decriminalized surgical baby-killing in the first
trimester of life in the State of New York if he had been a member of
the New York State Legislature at that time. And it was the case that
Cuomo, then an attorney with an office on Court Street in Brooklyn, New
York, was called upon by the Diocese of Brooklyn to speak against
abortion to various parish organizations and other groups as its
official representative. Defeated in his bid to be the Democrat Party
lieutenant governor nominee in 1974, Cuomo learned to parrot the line
that had been mastered by his political mentor, then United States
Representative Hugh Leo Carey, who was elected as Governor of the State
of New York in 1974 and served two terms, that he was "personally
opposed to abortion, but would never impose" his "morality upon others."
Cuomo, was appointed by Carey to be the Secretary of State of the State
of New York in January of 1975, used this line repeatedly when he ran
unsuccessfully for the Democrat Party nomination for the Mayoralty of
the City of New York in 1977 and when he ran in the general election
that year as the nominee of the Liberal Party of the State of New York
against the pro-abortion Democrat nominee, then United States
Representative Edward Irving Koch, and the Republican Party nominee, the
pro-abortion New York State Senator Roy Goodman, and the Conservative
Party nominee, radio talk show host Barry Farber. Defeated by Koch in the general election for Mayor
of the City of New York in 1977, Cuomo won the Democrat Party nomination
for lieutenant governor in 1978 (then Lieutenant Governor Krupsak, also
a pro-abortion Catholic, challenged her pro-abortion Catholic Governor,
Hugh Carey, unsuccessfully in a primary that year), and was Carey's
heir apparent in 1982 when the latter chose not to seek a third term.
Cuomo termed the tables on his old adversary Koch, defeating him in hard
fought primary in 1982 for the Democrat Party's gubernatorial
nomination, going on to defeat Rite Aid magnate Lew Lehrman, the nominee
of the Republican and Conservative parties, and the Right to Life Party
nominee, Robert Bohnar. Cuomo loudly defended "abortion rights" during
that 1982 general election campaign, and was known to telephone priests
in various conciliar parishes if he got wind of any criticism uttered
about him from pulpits during sermons. Cuomo's support for "abortion rights" came to the
national forefront in 1984 after the conciliar "bishop" of Scranton,
John Joseph O'Connor, was appointed to be the conciliar "archbishop" of
New York. Even before his "installation" at Saint Patrick's Cathedral on
Monday, March 19, 1984, O'Connor told longtime WNBC-TV newsman Gabe
Pressman that he, O'Connor, "was sick and tired" of politicians who say
that they are "personally opposed" to abortion while supporting a
nonexistent "right" of a woman to choose to kill her preborn baby. This
inflamed Cuomo, who has quite a temper, who started a war of words with
the new "archbishop." Things escalated rather rapidly, and O'Connor
refused to recognize Cuomo's presence at his installation "Mass" on
March 19, 1984, while recognizing Mayor Koch of the City of New York,
the Mayor of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and the United States Ambassador to
the Holy See, William Wilson. Cuomo was livid. I know. I saw him
process out of Saint Patrick's Cathedral as he walked right in front of
where I was sitting in the right transept. He was not a happy camper. Cuomo sought to provide "intellectual muscle" to
the "I'm personally opposed to abortion" position in the address that he
gave at the behest of Hartford's Mark of Apostasy,
Father Richard P. McBrien, then the Chairman of the Department of
Theology at the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, on
  Thursday, September 13, 1984:
  The Catholic public
official lives the political truth most Catholics through most of
American history have accepted and insisted on: the truth that to assure
our freedom we must allow others the same freedom, even if occasionally
it produces conduct by them which we would hold to be sinful. I protect my right to be a Catholic by preserving your right to
believe as a Jew, a Protestant, or nonbeliever, or as anything else you
    choose.
We know that the price of seeking to force our beliefs on others is that they might someday force theirs on us.
This freedom is the fundamental strength of our unique experience
in government. In the complex interplay of forces and considerations
that go into the making of our laws and policies, its preservation must
    be a persuasive and dominant concern. . . .
  As Catholics, my wife
and I were enjoined never to use abortion to destroy the life we
created. We thought church doctrine was clear on this. Life or fetal
life in the womb should be protected, even if five of nine justices of
the Supreme Court and my neighbor disagree with me. A fetus is different
from an appendix or a set of tonsils. At the very least, even if the
argument is made by some scientists or some theologians that in the
early stages of fetal development we can’t discern human life, the full
potential of human life is indisputably there. That—to my less subtle
mind—by itself should demand respect, caution, indeed . . . reverence. But not everyone in our society agrees.
And those who don’t—those who endorse legalized abortions—aren’t
a ruthless, callous alliance of anti-Christians determined to overthrow
our moral standards. In many cases, the proponents of legal abortion
are the very people who have worked with Catholics to realize the goals
of social justice set out in papal encyclicals: the American Lutheran
Church, the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Presbyterian
Church in the United States, B’nai B’rith Women, the Women of the
Episcopal Church. There are just a few of the religious organizations
that don’t share the church’s position on abortion.
Certainly, we should not be forced to mold Catholic morality to
conform to disagreement by non-Catholics, however sincere or severe
their disagreement. Our bishops should be teachers, no pollsters. They
should not change what we Catholics believe in order to ease our
consciences or please our friends or protect the church from criticism.
But if the breadth, intensity, and sincerity of opposition to
church teaching shouldn’t be allowed to shape our Catholic morality, it
can’t help but determine our ability—our realistic, political ability—to
translate our Catholic morality into civil law, a law not for the
believers who don’t need it but for the believers who reject it.
And it is here, in our attempt to find a political answer to
abortion—an answer beyond our private observance of Catholic morality—
that we encounter controversy within and without the church over how and
in what degree to press the case that our morality should be everybody
    else’s, and to what effect.
I repeat, there is no church teaching that mandates the best
political course for making our belief everyone’s rule, for spreading
this part of our Catholicism. There is neither an encyclical nor a
catechism that spells out a political strategy for achieving legislative
    goals.
And so the Catholic trying to make moral and prudent judgments
in the political realm must discern which, if any, of the actions one
could take would be best.  (American Rhetoric: Mario Cuomo --"Religious Belief and Public Morality)
Apart from the disregard of the facts of biology that
young attorney Mario Matthew Cuomo used to provide to groups before
which he spoke as a representative of the Diocese of Brooklyn in the
1960s, Governor Mario Matthew Cuomo--Mario Pilate/Pontius Cuomo, an
admirer of the late Father Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.J., had the
audacity to refer to "our" morality when referring to the immutable and
eternally binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural
Law that proscribe the direct, intentional killing of any innocent human
being. God's laws apply to everyone without regard to whether anyone
accepts them. Civil law must be conformed to the binding precepts of the
Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law in all that pertains to the
good of souls, and Catholics have the positive moral obligation to work
in behalf of such a conformity. Catholics are not permitted to privately
hold one thing while publicly speaking and acting in a contradictory
manner. Pope Leo XIII made this abundantly clear in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:
Hence, lest concord be broken by rash charges, let this be understood by
all, that the integrity of Catholic faith cannot be reconciled with
opinions verging on naturalism or rationalism, the essence of which is
utterly to do away with Christian institutions and to install in society
the supremacy of man to the exclusion of God. Further, it is
unlawful to follow one line of conduct in private life and another in
public, respecting privately the authority of the Church, but publicly
rejecting it; for this would amount to joining together good and evil,
and to putting man in conflict with himself; whereas he ought always to
be consistent, and never in the least point nor in any condition of life
to swerve from Christian virtue. (Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885.) End of argument, Mario. End of argument. You and your fellow Pilates lose. Along with other Catholic pro-aborts in public
life, Cuomo supported the legal "right" of mothers to support the
execution of their babies under cover of law, attempting to cover
himself in a mantra of not seeking to "impose" "his" morality upon
others, while doing precisely that when it came to the issue of capital
punishment. Cuomo said that it was his moral duty as a Catholic to
oppose capital punishment even though a majority of the citizens of the
State of New York desired its restoration. What hubris. What incredible
arrogance to consign the innocent preborn to cruel, merciless deaths
under cover of law while criminals convicted of heinous crimes after the
exhausting of the levers of due process of law are considered to be
above the ultimate punishment for their crimes. Cuomo was unbent in his support for abortion by the
time that the pro-abortion Baptist, then Arkansas Governor William
Jefferson Blythe Clinton, was nominated by the Democrat Party for
President of the United States of America in 1992. Cuomo said the
following in the principal nominating speech at Madison Square Garden in
the City of New York in behalf of Clinton's nomination on July 15,
  1992:
America needs Bill Clinton for still another reason. We need a leader
who will stop the Republican attempt, through laws and through the
courts, to tell us what god to believe in, and how to apply that god's
judgment to our schoolrooms, our bedrooms and our bodies. (Nominating Speech by Mario M. Cuomo) I know. Stop laughing. Cuomo's use of hyperbole makes that of the late
President Richard Milhous Nixon's seem tame by comparison. Yet Mario
Matthew Cuomo remains a "Catholic" in good standing in the counterfeit
church of conciliarism, although one fairly prominent conciliar
monsignor, who was Cuomo's pastor at Saint John the Evangelist Church
around 1997, said that Cuomo did not present himself for what purported
to be the distribution of Holy Communion during the Novus Ordo service, indicating, the monsignor said, that "Cardinal" O'Connor might
have told him to refrain from doing so. Cuomo has not been
"excommunicated" by conciliar authorities. He is unrepentant in his
support for baby-killing under cover of law, although he did say to the
1994 Right to Life Party nominee Bob Walsh, "Bob, I’m pro-life! I have
to say I’m pro-choice in order to get elected," prior to one of their
televised debates. (Mr. Walsh asserted this in a presentation he gave to
a graduate course on political parties that I was teaching at the C. W.
Post Campus of Long Island University in the Fall of 1996.) What is particularly interesting about Mario Cuomo's nominating speech
in behalf of William Jefferson Blythe Clinton on July 15, 1992, is that
it came about five months after Clinton himself verified the
authenticity of the phone conversations that had been taped without his
knowledge by his "friend," Gennifer Flowers, as he apologized to Cuomo
for the following exchange he had with Flowers:
  The male voice also
describes Mario Cuomo as being a "mean son of [expletive deleted] " and
when Flowers says, "I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have some
Mafioso connections," the reply is: "Well, he acts like one," followed by a chuckle. Speaking of the press, the
voice tells Flowers: "If they ever hit you with it, just say no and go
on. There's nothing they can do. I expected them to look into it and
come interview you. But if everybody is on record denying it, no
problem." Richard Nixon couldn't have said it better. (The Progressive Review,
"Whitewater and Clinton Scandal Clips: Part 1: February 1992-March
1994. I am not linking to this article directly as it contains direct
quotes from Bill and Hillary Clinton that are vile and vulgar, unfit for
the eyes of my readers. It's the only place, however, where I could
find a direct quote of the Flowers-Clinton reference to Cuomo and his
thuggish ways.) Mario Matthew Cuomo has not been excommunicated by the conciliar officials. Neither has his son, current New York Governor Andrew Mark Cuomo, who was elected on November 2, 2010, to become sixth consecutive pro-abortion governor of the abortion capital of the United States of America, the State of New York. Five of those six governors (Hugh Leo Carey, Mario Matthew Cuomo, George Elmer Pataki, David Paterson, and and Andrew Mark Cuomo) have been "Catholics" who have to this day maintained their good standing in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. The sixth, the disgraced, notorious opportunist named Elliot Spitzer, was a Talmudist who made headlines for himself as Attorney General of the State of New York while harassing and threatening to prosecute crisis pregnancy centers even though he was only plowing the ground that had been plowed before him two decades earlier by that reprobate of a human being named Robert Abrams. The Chief High Lord and Executive Secretary of the Occupy Vatican Movement, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, will not be so "tolerant" and "patient" when His Excellency Bishop Richard Williamson consecrates Father Joseph Pfeiffer as a bishop soon. Bishop Williamson will be "re-excommunicated" by conciliar officials who have been chomping at the bit to get rid of him because of "offensive" comments at the conciliar revolutionaries' master and minders in Talmudism, even going so far as to use their influence with the government of Federal Republic of Germany to reinstate a conviction for a "hate crime" that had been overturned. One cannot offend the Talmudists. One cannot dissent from apostate, blasphemous agenda of the conciliar revolutionaries. One can, however, support sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance and remain in perfectly good standing with the conciliar officials, who pat themselves on the back for being so "patient" with them, explaining to the Catholics in the pews who are stupid enough to contribute their money in support of doctrinally, liturgically and morally corrupt men, many of whom grow physically fat and lead the most comfortable and luxurious of lives, doing all this while waxing with great sanctimony about how they believe that "dialogue" will help to convince men such as the Cuomos to come to oppose the daily slaughter of the innocent preborn in the name of "human dignity" and not, it should be noted, because it is opposed to the binding precepts of the Fifth Commandment. Two conciliar "bishops," including the man who is "ordinary" of Mario Matthew Cuomo and Andrew Mark Cuomo, Timothy Michael "Cardinal" Dolan (see Timmy's In The Well (Of Americanism, That Is), Making Everyone Happy Except God, Unhappy Is The "Happy" "Bishop", Whatever You Want,   Ominous Offenders Offending Ominously, Memo To David Axelrod And Other Social Engineers, John Carroll's Caesar, Victims of Compromise, Taking A Figure Of Antichrist At His Worthless Words, Prisoners Of Their Own Apostasy, Timothy Dolan, Meet Timothy Dolan (And Friends), Still Celebrating Half A Century Of Apostasy, Candidate For Man Of The Year?, From John Carroll To James Gibbons To Timothy Dolan, To Help The Children, Fake, Phony, Sanctimonious Fraud, Happy As A Stuffed Clam With Himself, Impossible To Fight Moral Evils With Blasphemy And Error and Still Trying to Make Everyone Happy Except God Himself, Just Another Ordinary Outrage Permitted by a Conciliar "Ordinary"), have beaten their breasts in recent years to protest that they would only be making "martyrs" of Catholic pro-abortion, pro-perversity public officials if they disciplined them in any way, that they preferred "dialogue" to help them understand the teaching of the Catholic Church:
Archbishop Dolan was in Albany to lobby on behalf
of Catholic schools, which face increasing financial strain because of
unfunded government mandates. In Milwaukee, Archbishop Jerome Listecki said that
he, too, would be averse to the idea of denying the Eucharist to a
prominent abortion advocate, although he did exclude the possibility.
The newly installed archbishop told an audience at the Milwaukee Press
Club that his decision would take into account "the impact of whatever
that person is doing." Before taking disciplinary action, he said, he
would want to "help them come to an understanding of the teaching." Archbishop Listecki said: "It's very difficult for
me to see how somebody can be pro-choice knowing the teachings of the
church" (Timothy Dolan Will Not Refuse "Communion" to Pro-Abortion Pols.)   Consider, if only for a moment,
the fact that we are now just two days away from the fortieth
anniversary of the Supreme Court decisions in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.
The time for "persuasion" has long since past. Alas, sanctions in the
counterfeit church of conciliarism are reserved principally, although
not exclusively, for those who dare to reject its multiple apostasies,
most especially upon presbyters who dare to leave the conciliar
structures as they reject the nonexistent "legitimacy" of Joseph
Ratzinger as "Pope" Benedict XVI, and also upon those who dare to utter
any word that offends the sensibilities of the conciliar church's "elder
brothers in the faith." Persuasion? I suppose it's easier to convince
oneself of this empty canard than to run the risk of daily ridicule in
the secular media. Note also the language used by "Archbishop" Jerome
Listecki. He referred to those who support the slaughter of the preborn
under cover of the civil law as "pro-choice," not "pro-death" or
"pro-abortion." Using the devil's language is not in the service of
truth. Yet it is that many conciliar "bishops" and presbyters use the
language of the pro-death lobby. "Archbishop" Timothy Dolan is said to be very
"pro-life." This is, in and of itself, quite a statement as each
Catholic, whether a bishop or a priest or a consecrated religious or a
layman, is supposed to oppose anything that is repugnant to the binding
precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law. One is either a
Catholic or he is not. Period. Timothy Dolan's fear of making "martyrs" out of
pro-death Catholics in public life by refusing them what purports to be
Holy Communion is entirely misplaced. He believes that he is a Catholic
bishop (he is neither a bishop or a priest). He believes that Our Lord
comes down on Novus Ordo tables. He has an obligation to defend
the integrity of what believes to be the Most Blessed Sacrament no
matter who is made out to be "martyr" by the secular media or by other
dissenting Catholics. So what? Saint Tarsicius laid down his very life to
protect the Blessed Sacrament that he was carrying on his person.
Shouldn't this inspire man who believes to be a Catholic bishop want to
do the same? That Timothy Dolan believes it is "prudent" to keep giving
what he thinks is Holy Communion to pro-abortion Catholics is just
another sign of the era of apostasy that is upon us. Thus it is that the now former Governor of the State
of New York, David Paterson, who has been found guilty of ethics
violations during his ignominious two years, nine months, fourteen days
in office following the resignation of his disgraced predecessor, Elliot
Spitzer, who has reinvented himself now, it would appear, as some kind
of television celebrity on the Castro News Network (I mean, Cable News
Network, excuse me), remains undisciplined for his open support for
baby-killing and perversity as a member of the New York State and as the
accident governor of the Empire State. The current Governor, Andrew
Mark Cuomo, will remain undisciplined as well, free to support
baby-killing and perversity with absolute impunity while he lives openly
and unrepentantly with his paramour, cooking expert Sandra Lee. No
scandal there, huh? Then again, although it is said that John "Cardinal"
O'Connor told this Governor Cuomo's father, former three-term Governor
Mario Matthew Cuomo, not to receive what purports to be Holy Communion
at the Novus Ordo service, this was never made public. A former
pastor of the Cuomo the Elder, the late Monsignor Michael J. Wrenn,
told me in April of 1997 as I drove him back to Manhattan after we had
both appeared as speakers at a Wanderer Forum in Albany, New York, that
he surmised that this was the case as the pro-death politician, by then
two years a private citizen after being defeated by the pro-abortion
Catholic Republican named George Elmer Pataki, on November 8, 1994, sat
in the rear of his church and did not present himself to receive what is
thought to be Holy Communion. Even Monsignor Wrenn, a prominent figure
in the Archdiocese of New York and in "conservative" Catholic circles
nationwide, did not know for sure. Indeed, George Elmer Pataki himself remained in perfectly "good standing" in the conciliar structures throughout his three
pathetic terms as Governor of the State of New York (January 1, 1995,
to January 1, 2007). Rudolph William Giuliani also maintained his public good standing in the conciliar structures throughout his two terms as
Mayor of the City of New York (January 1, 1994 to January 1, 2002)
despite his open support for baby-killing under cover of the civil law.
Edward "Cardinal" Egan, the conciliar "archbishop" of New York from 2000
to 2009. It was only Giuliani did receive what purported Holy
Communion at a staging of the Novus Ordo at the Cathedral of
Saint Patrick on Saturday, April 19, 2009, that was presided over by
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict, that Egan issued the following statement:
“The Catholic Church clearly teaches that abortion is a grave offense against the will of God. Throughout
my years as Archbishop of New York, I have repeated this teaching in
sermons, articles, addresses, and interviews without hesitation or
compromise of any kind. Thus
it was that I had an understanding with Mr. Rudolph Giuliani, when I
became Archbishop of New York and he was serving as Mayor of New York,
that he was not to receive the Eucharist because of his well-known
support of abortion. I
deeply regret that Mr. Giuliani received the Eucharist during the Papal
visit here in New York, and I will be seeking a meeting with him to
insist that he abide by our understanding.” (Statement of "Cardinal" Egan.) This is what I wrote at the time that "Cardinal" Egan issued the above statement:
"An understanding"? Public scandal is never a private
matter. The faithful have a right to know that a public sinner is being
sanctioned by those who appear to them to be the ecclesiastical
officials of the Catholic Church. Edward Egan said nothing back in 2003
when Giuliani entered into his sacramentally invalid marriage to his
third wife, Judith Nathan, thereby depriving Catholics who believe that
divorce and remarriage is no "big problem" of an opportunity to learn
that Giuliani was not entitled to "congratulations" on this bogus
marriage, that, indeed, he was further jeopardizing the salvation of his
immortal soul. There was nothing but silence from Egan's offices at
1011 First Avenue in the Borough of Manhattan in the City of New York,
New York. Silence. One wonders if Egan had or his successor in the conciliar structures, Timothy "I am to a happy bishop" Dolan, has "understanding" with the thirty-third degree Mason named
Charles Rangel, a Democrat who serves as the United States
Representative from the Fifteenth Congressional District in the State of
New York and a militant supporter of baby-killing, who remains a
Catholic in "good standing" in the conciliar structures. One wonders if Egan had or Dolan has
or"understanding" with former New York Governor George Pataki, a
pro-abortion Republican who lives within the confines of the Archdiocese
of New York. Does any such "understanding" exist with former New York
Governor Mario Matthew Cuomo, a pro-abortion Democrat who was defeated
in his bid for a fourth term by Pataki in 1994. Does any such
"understanding" exist with the current Governor of the State of New
York, David Paterson, a pro-abortion Catholic member of the Democrat
Party. Why all of the silence if such "understandings" exist? Paterson
was at Ratzinger/Benedict's "high church" Novus Ordo hybrid service at
Yankee Stadium in the Borough of the Bronx, City of New York, New York,
on Sunday, April 20, 2008. Did he receive what purported to be Holy
Communion at that service? One wonders why the conciliar "bishop" of
Providence, Rhode Island, Thomas Tobin, chose to issue a "private"
warning to United States Representative Patrick Kennedy, who is keep
alive the pro-abortion, pro-perversity legacy of his late father, Edward
Moore Kennedy, not to receive what purports to be Holy Communion in the
Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, expressing his regret that the younger Kennedy chose to make his, Bishop Tobin's, 2007 letter a public matter. (See Bishop Tobin Asked Rep. Kennedy Not to Receive Communion.) Public scandal is never a private matter. Why the regrets? Then again, of course, the counterfeit church of
conciliarism specializes in giving scandal to the faithful. The scandal
of esteeming the symbols of false religions, an act that is so offensive
to the honor and majesty of God that it is almost impossible for us
mortals to comprehend in its full enormity, has become passe to most
Catholics in the conciliar structures. What's the "big deal" about
calling the Koran, a document that blasphemes Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ and denies the doctrine of the Most Blessed
Trinity, among other things, "dear" and "precious"? What's the "big
deal" about calling Mount Hiei in Japan, on which the false religion of
Buddhism is practice, as "sacred"? What's the "big deal" about calling
the heretical and schismatic "patriarch" of Constantinople a "pastor" in
the Church of Christ. What's the "big deal" about a putative "pope"
going into a mosque or a synagogue and being treated as an inferior as
reverence is given to places that are abominable in the sight of God? (Public Scandal Is Never A Private Matter, revised in 2009.)   Behold the fruit of the efforts to "persuade" the nefarious, reprobated likes of Andrew Mark Cuomo, who gives scandal to the faithful by living with a woman who is not his wife and who was permitted by Timothy Michael "Cardinal" Dolan to bring his shockingly, grotesquely immodestly address concubine to the Alfred E. Smith Foundation Memorial Dinner on Thursday, October 18, 2012, the Feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist, to "reconsider" their support for the chemical and surgical assassination of innocent preborn children under cover of the civil law:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is flexing his political muscle to give abortion advocates their biggest state victory in 40 years since Roe v. Wade: a sweeping expansion of abortion law that, if enforced, would put Catholic hospitals and many state-funded ministries out of business. Cuomo’s approval ratings have topped 70% for six straight months, and, with just two years in office, he has already pushed through controversial same-sex “marriage” legislation and the most restrictive gun-control law in the nation. Cuomo, who is Catholic, now is setting his sights on succeeding where governors for the past six years have failed: passing the proposed Reproductive Health Care Act. But Cuomo has included the act as part of his 10-point “women’s equality” agenda, which includes a raise in the minimum wage, tougher anti-housing discrimination laws and measures against domestic violence and sex-trafficking. Catholic bishops in New York’s Catholic Conference and pro-life groups are raising the alarm that Cuomo’s proposals are both “radical” and “dangerous” to unborn children, women and religious freedom. “Gov. Cuomo’s bill elevates abortion to a fundamental right and says New York state can’t discriminate on abortion in benefits or services or anything else it provides,” said Kathleen Gallagher, the conference’s director of pro-life activities. Cuomo’s legislation, she said, would make illegal abortion restrictions, such as parental-notification laws, informed-consent laws, restrictions on taxpayer funding of abortion and abortion bans of any kind. The law will allow licensed medical professionals other than a physician to perform first-trimester abortions. The Democratic governor announced in his Jan. 9 State of the State address that he would expand legal abortion as part of a comprehensive women’s-equality bill, declaring three times, “It’s her body, her choice” to thunderous applause. “Gov. Cuomo vociferously declared that women’s equality, safety and reproductive rights will be a priority for New York state in 2013,” Andrea Miller, president of NARAL Pro-Choice New York, confirmed in a press release. Miller said the last election results showed New Yorkers recognized that without a right to abortion a woman “cannot participate fully in society.” Late-Abortion Green Light Cuomo’s bill removes criminal penalties for third-trimester abortions after 24 weeks by adding a broad health exception. Current state law allows such late-term abortions if there is a danger to the mother’s life. Chris Slattery, director of the Expectant Mother Care (EMC) pregnancy centers in New York City, said the new law will make New York City the late-term abortion capital of the world. “It’s going to open up the third-trimester market,” Slattery said. “It’s going to be huge, and people all over the world, not just out of state, are going to be coming to New York to have and perform these abortions.” Late-term abortions generally cost more than $2,000. “It’s the fight of the pro-life movement’s life in New York,” Slattery said. “This is worse than Roe v. Wade itself, and everyone needs to focus on defeating this bill.” The Guttmacher Institute’s New York state abortion data showed that 33% of New York pregnancies end in abortion — nearly twice the national rate of 19%. Only 53% of New York pregnancies resulted in live births, with the remaining 14% ending with miscarriage. New York City itself has an average abortion rate of 41%, with some areas as high as 67%, according to New York Health Department data gathered by the Chiaroscuro Foundation. A 2011 poll, conducted for the Chiaroscuro Foundation by McLaughlin and Associates, found 64% of New Yorkers — including 57% of women identifying as “pro-choice” — believe New York City’s abortion rate is too high; 74% believe the overall 60% abortion rate among minorities is too high. The poll also found 69% of New Yorkers support informed-consent laws, 59% support mandating parental consent for minors seeking abortion, and 51% support having a 24-hour waiting period for abortion. State Senate Battle Cuomo’s legislation is expected to pass the Democratic-controlled Assembly, but pro-life advocates are focusing on the Senate, which Republicans control in a coalition with six independent Democrats. Pro-life state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., D-Bronx, predicts the abortion battle will happen in the next few weeks and not toward the end of the legislative session in June. He said pro-life prospects look grim if the Reproductive Health Care Act comes up for a vote. “I’m the only solid pro-life vote among the Democrats,” he said. “But if the Republicans allow this to come to the floor, then it is a done deal.” Diaz expressed doubts that Majority Leader Dean Skelos, R-Rockville Centre, would keep the 30-member GOP caucus in line and predicted that one or two Republicans would join 32 Democrat senators to vote for the bill — a replay of voting patterns that resulted in the legalization of same-sex “marriage” in 2011. Under a power-sharing agreement, Skelos and state Sen. Jeff Klein, D-Bronx, alternate leadership of the Senate every week. “The week in which Sen. Jeff Klein becomes leader of the chamber — that week he will bring the bill to the floor,” Diaz said. Diaz said he had no hope the bill could be stopped in the Senate without personal lobbying from Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York. In a Jan. 9 letter to Cuomo, Cardinal Dolan forcefully denounced the governor’s push for increased access to abortion. “Dolan has a very powerful voice in the state,” said Diaz. “I’m hoping he comes to Albany now and lobbies — and lobbies hard. I think he’s the only hope we have to convince people to not bring this bill to the floor.” Gallagher warned that the state bill has no conscience protections for religious institutions and that the New York Catholic Conference’s legal analysts fear the state could use the law to shut down any Catholic institution (including Catholic hospitals, Catholic charities and schools) that gets state licensing or funding. “State regulators, such as the state health department or state insurance department, could say, ‘We cannot give you that license to operate’ or ‘We cannot give you that funding’ because our pro-life mission means we’re discriminating against a woman’s fundamental right to an abortion,” Gallagher said. Bishop William Murphy confirmed that the Diocese of Rockville Centre is home to six hospitals on Long Island that could be crippled if the state simply withheld Medicaid dollars. The clash would be inevitable, because Catholic hospitals will neither perform nor refer people for abortions under any circumstances. “It is another blow against a pro-life position, making that position officially ‘unacceptable’ or ‘bigoted’ or ‘intolerant,’” Bishop Murphy said, adding that the situation was “a very strange fruit in our society, where the majority of Americans, however they define it, call themselves pro-life.” If the bill expanding access to abortion is passed, pro-life medical professionals could also find their practices at risk. “All the legal mechanisms are in place so that doctors are forced to abandon their practices,” said Dr. Katherine Lammers, a Catholic obstetrician-gynecologist in Rochester, who has delivered 4,000 babies in her 25-year career. Lammers’ practice does not perform or refer for abortions. She noted that the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists published an ethical memo in 2008 that directed doctors to provide abortion referrals if they are unable to perform the procedure. “So it could happen this way: ACOG could say that this doctor is violating Ethical Bulletin 899. They could take your board certification away for ethical violations. The state board could then say, ‘This doctor is not medically licensed.’ So, theoretically, a doctor could be forced out of her business,” Lammers said. (Andrew Cuomo's Brave New Roe.) This is the direct and only result possible of the conciliar penchant to sue "dialogue" to "persuade" miscreants to change when they have needed the rod of correction and chastisement for their own good and for the edification and right instruction of the faithful. How did over thirty years of "engagement and
dialogue" change the late United States Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan
(D-New York). How did over twenty-four years of "engagement and
dialogue" change the late William Brennan, a Catholic who cast a vote in
favor the decisions of the Supreme Court of the United  States of
America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton,
January, 22, 1973, while he served as an Associate Justice of the
Supreme Court of the United States of America. decisions he reaffirmed
in subsequent cases? How did twenty years of "engagement and
dialogue" change the late Speaker of the United States House of
Representatives, Thomas P. O'Neill (D-Massachusetts)? How did over thirty-six years of "engagement and
dialogue" change the late United States Senator Edward Moore Kennedy
(D-Massachussets)? How did over thirty-three years of "engagement and
dialogue" change the late United States Representative Geraldine Anne
Ferraro-Zaccarro (D-New York). How has over thirty-five years of "engagement and dialogue changed former Governor of New York Mario Matthew Cuomo? How has over twenty-three years of "engagement and
dialogue" changed former Mayor of the City of New York Rudolph William
Giuliani? How has twenty years of "engagement and dialogue" changed current Governor of New York Andrew Mark Cuomo? How has a decade of "engagement and dialogue" changed United States Senator Kirsten Gillebrand (D-New York). How has forty years of "engagement and dialogue"
changed the Vice President of the United States of America, Joseph
Robinette Biden, Jr. (D-Delaware; see, for example, Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., Demagogue Update). As always, the conciliar officials are promising to fight the new threat to "religious liberty" with appeals to a respect for "religious liberty," which is the very Protestant/Judeo-Masonic error that made possible the rise of such moral monsters as Andrew Mark Cuomo within what most believe is the Catholic Church. These men have been emboldened, appeased, and emboldened at almost every turn imaginable. What has happened to Andrew Mark Cuomo over his aggressive campaigning in behalf of "gay marriage" in the State of New York two years ago. Nothing. Nothing whatsoever. He remains in "good standing" in the conciliar structures while many of our own traditionally-minded relatives have wagged their tongues and shaken their heads at us for daring to stand fast to the immutable teaching that exists in the very nature of things and that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for their infallible explication and eternal safekeeping. We are the outlaws! Men like the Cuomos are within the "legal" structures of what is thought to be, albeit falsely, of the Catholic Church. The Cuomos live charmed lives in the conciliar church, being admired by many clergymen and members of the laity alike as promoters of "social justice" and "equality" and "women's rights," just as have the Kennedys. And, just in case you have forgotten, here is that ever-popular listing of articles that I wrote after the death of Edward Moore Kennedy on Tuesday, August 25, 2009: Another Victim of Americanism, Behold The Free Rein Given to Error, Unfortunate Enough to Be A Baby, Beacon of Social Justice?, Spotlight On The Ordinary, What's Good For Teddy Is Good For Benny, Sean O'Malley: Coward and Hypocrite, More Rationalizations and Distortions, and Death To Babies: Kennedy's Continued Legacy) Obviously, we must accept this chastisement from our relatives and friends with equanimity, joy and gratitude! We offer up whatever merit we might earn from the patient and loving acceptance of this chastisement, which we much deserve because of our sins, to give the Most Blessed Trinity honor and glory through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary as we seek to make reparation for our own many terrible sins. Those who misunderstand, calumniate, ridicule, mock and reject us are really our best friends as they are the instruments chosen by God from all eternity to purify us and to humble us in the sight of men so that we might be humbly supplicant as mendicants through that same Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Men such as Andrew Mark Cuomo, however, have been emboldened to pursue the terrible course of action that he is at this time (leaving aside that many supposedly "Catholic" hospitals in the State of New York have played the old "shell game" on life issues by referring women who want to kill their preborn babies to facilities that do so and by engaging in practices that are tantamount to baby-killing in some instances; many have given hospital privileges to obstetricians and gynecologists who kill babies in other venues and prescribe chemical abortifacients as a matter of routine in their alleged practice of medicine) because the conciliar "popes" and the conciliar "bishops" do not speak with the manly Catholic forcefulness and apostolic courage of Pope Pius XI:
Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it
is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to
defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those
whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among
whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's
womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by
their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors
or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of
innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven. (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930.) Catholicism is the one and only foundation of
personal and social order, making it necessary yet again to turn to
these words of Pope Saint Pius X, contained in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:
Here we have, founded by Catholics, an
inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of
civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for
there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true
moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a
historical fact. (Pope Pius XI, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)   A generic attachment to
"religion" is of the essence of Judeo-Masonry, not Catholicism, and
it is as Freemasons that the conciliar "popes" an "bishops" have spoken in the past fifty years. Let the conciliar "pope" an his "bishops" engage in dialogue with agents of the devil in the civil realm as they serve as his agents in the theological, liturgical and moral realms. We, though, must take seriously this warning about Masonry and its ethos given us by Pope Leo
XIII in Custodi Di Quella Fede, December 8, 1892:
Everyone should avoid familiarity or friendship
with anyone suspected of belonging to masonry or to affiliated groups.
Know them by their fruits and avoid them. Every familiarity
should be avoided, not only with those impious libertines who openly
promote the character of the sect, but also with those who hide under
the mask of universal tolerance, respect for all religions, and the
craving to reconcile the maxims of the Gospel with those of the
revolution. These men seek to reconcile Christ and Belial, the Church of
God and the state without God. (Pope Leo XIII, Custodi Di Quella Fede, December 8, 1892.)   Far from listening to the
sinner in order to "understand" him and to engage in a "dialogue" with
him, Our Lord taught sinners to convert and he condemned those who were
steadfast and proud in their sins:
[31] Wherefore you are witnesses against yourselves, that you are the sons of them that killed the prophets. [32] Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. [33] You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell? [34] Therefore behold I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and
some of them you will put to death and crucify, and some you will
scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: [35] That upon you may come all the just blood that hath been shed upon the earth, from the blood
of Abel the just, even unto the blood of Zacharias the son of Barachias,
whom you killed between the temple and the altar. [36] Amen I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation. [37] Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them
that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy
children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou
wouldest not? [38] Behold, your house shall be left to you, desolate. [39] For I say to you, you shall not see me henceforth till you say: Blessed
is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. (Matthew 23: 33-39.) The "gospel" according to Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, Timothy Michael Dolan, an William Murphy  is false. It is false to its rotten core. It is
simply a regurgitation of mainstream Protestantism's reinvention and
misrepresentation of the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity made
Man by the power of God the Holy Ghost in the Virginal and Immaculate
Womb of His Most Blessed Mother as "mushy, gushy" sentimentalist. He was
nothing of the sort. Indeed, Pope Saint Pius X described the true
character of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as follows when
condemning the heretical Sillonist view of Him that is at the very heart
and soul and foundation of the "Second" Vatican Council and the
  "magisterium" of the conciliar popes:

Further, whilst Jesus was kind to sinners and to those who went
astray, He did not respect their false ideas, however sincere they might
have appeared. He loved them all, but He instructed them in order to
convert them and save them. Whilst He called to Himself in order to
comfort them, those who toiled and suffered, it was not to preach to
them the jealousy of a chimerical equality. Whilst He lifted up
the lowly, it was not to instill in them the sentiment of a dignity
independent from, and rebellious against, the duty of obedience. Whilst
His heart overflowed with gentleness for the souls of good-will, He
could also arm Himself with holy indignation against the profaners of
the House of God, against the wretched men who scandalized the little
ones, against the authorities who crush the people with the weight of
heavy burdens without putting out a hand to lift them. He was as strong
as he was gentle. He reproved, threatened, chastised, knowing, and
teaching us that fear is the beginning of wisdom, and that it is
sometimes proper for a man to cut off an offending limb to save his body.
Finally, He did not announce for future society the reign of an ideal
happiness from which suffering would be banished; but, by His lessons
and by His example, He traced the path of the happiness which is
possible on earth and of the perfect happiness in heaven: the royal way
of the Cross. These are teachings that it would be wrong to
        apply only to one's personal life in order to win eternal salvation;
these are eminently social teachings, and they show in Our Lord Jesus
Christ something quite different from an inconsistent and impotent
humanitarianism. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

As readers of this site know, it is impossible to
pursue temporal justice while protecting heinous sins under cover of the
civil law, crimes that are also promoted in every aspect of popular
culture. Sin is what caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ to suffer once in time in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion
and Death. Sin is what caused His Most Blessed Mother's Immaculate
Heart to be pierced through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow. Sin
is what wounds His Mystical Body, the Church Militant, here on earth in
this passing, mortal value of tears. No one who is an agent in the
promotion of grievous sin, no less sins that cry out to Heaven for
vengeance, is a fit holder of the public weal. While such a person is an
object of our prayers and while his actions must prompt us to make much
reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart of Mary, he is not deserving of anyone's "support" or
"approval." All the more reason, good readers, for us to make
many acts of reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, As I have noted on this site very consistently,
unlike so many in the world and even so many who are in "good standing"
in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, we can never accept evil
with urbanity and indifference. Indeed, speaking as a sinner who has so
very much for which to make reparation, we must be conscious at all
times of our need to pray and to fast and to make many, many
sacrifices to more perfectly conformed to the mercies of the Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. We
must always remember that our sins have contributed mightily to the
worsening of the state of the Church Militant on earth and the state of
the world, which is why we need to pray many Rosaries of reparation for
our own sins as well as those of the whole world. Remember, Our Lady knew that the bride and groom at the wedding feast in Cana were running out of wine. She asked her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to provide for their needs. He did, performing His first public miracle, which was a foreshadowing of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and thus manifesting His Sacred Divinity by means of this miracle. In like manner, you see, it will be at Our Lady's intercession that Our Lord will restore Holy Mother Church in His good time. In the meantime, it should be sufficient for us to rejoice with joy and gratitude that we live in these challenging times. There is much Catholic work for us to do! Why do we tarry in doing it with confidence as members of the Catholic Church, the spotless, virginal Mystical Bride of Christ the King, she it is who never makes any terms with error and can never be spotted by the slightest stain of confusion or ambiguity, no less be the author of blasphemies and sacrileges of the like that caused Saints Fabian and Sebastian to suffer the glorious crown of martyrdom. The final victory belongs to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary. May it be our privilege to plant a few seeds for this
great triumph and the ushering in of the Reign of Mary and the
restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King. Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon! Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex! Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us. Saint John the Baptist, pray for us. Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us. Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us. Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us. Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us. Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us. Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, pray for us. Saints Fabian and Sebastian, pray for us.
