Reparation

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Sorrow must fill the heart of every Catholic whenever blasphemies are committed against the Immaculate Conception herself, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. The devil knows that Our Lady has crushed his head with her heel, which is why he seeks to strike out at her in every imaginable way.

It is sometimes the case that great offenses against Our Lady have been committed in the name of "religious liberty" and "ecumenism" and "inter-religious dialogue" by the counterfeit church of conciliarism and its "partners" in this "dialogue." This is what happened on May 5, 2004, as Hindu "priests" worshiped their devils in the Chapel of the Apparitions in the Shrine of the Most Holy Trinity in Fatima, Portugal. As far as I know, and I keep checking, there has been no "official" apology from the Vatican for what took place on May 5, 2004, certainly no call for public acts of reparation for the offenses given God and His Most Blessed Mother.

Obviously, Our Lady has been greatly offended by the watering down of the prayers of her feast days by the conciliarists, starting with the Ordo Missae of 1965, which made its "debut" on November 29, 1964, the First Sunday in Advent that year, and then the further attacks upon her miracles in the prayers of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service. The integrity of Our Lady's very Psalter, her Most Holy Rosary, has been undermined by the introduction by the "luminous mysteries" that were invented out of whole cloth by that esteemer of false religions named Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II to "enhance" the "Christological dimension" of the Rosary as though the Rosary itself was not thoroughly Christological. Yes, Our Lady has been offended very much by the conciliarists, who have gone to extraordinary lengths to deconstruct her Fatima Message by attempting to make this message of reparation and conversion, of saving sinners from the fires of Hell, one that is a veritable prophecy of false ecumenism. Utter blasphemy.

Our Lady has been offended and blasphemed by countless of the devil's minions in Protestantism for nearly half a millennium now. These blasphemers of the Mother of God found in the the various Protestant sects, each of which denies that Our Lady is indeed the Mother of God, do not realize that they bring down upon their heads the very wrath of God for their countless crimes of wickedness against His Most Blessed Mother, she who was conceived without stain of Original and Actual and made possible our very salvation by her perfect fiat to the Will of the God the Father at the Annunciation. These blasphemies have been published in books and they have been communicated orally ever since the first days of commercial radio broadcasting in the 1920s. They are a cause of great reparation.

The motion picture industry in Hollywood, which has been in the control of Talmudic moguls from its beginning, was careful during the decades in which the Legion of Decency operated at full strength to produce films that met with the approval of Catholic audiences, recognizing that one word from the bishops condemning a particular motion picture would be enough to keep ninety to ninety-five percent of Catholics from patronizing it. Indeed, amoral Talmudic producers saw financial benefits to making motion pictures, such as The Song of Bernadette, that treated the Catholic Faith, which they abhorred, with reverence.

The de facto demise of The Legion of Decency and the "Second" Vatican Council's "opening" to the world in the 1960s helped to pave the way for Catholics to flock to motion pictures that Catholics would never have dreamt of patronizing some thirty years before. Pastors of parishes in conciliar captivity began to go to motion pictures with profanity and vulgarity and indecency of attire and did not blanche when the Second Commandment was violated repeatedly. And the United States Conference of Conciliar "Bishops" still has in its employ a "reviewer" who writes favorable reviews of motion pictures that glorify perverse sins in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. How can the average Catholic yet attached to the conciliar structures reject moral garbage masquerading as "entertainment" when employees of what is considered to be the Catholic Church in the United States of America and ostensibly Catholic "pastors" support such unreconstructed filth?

"It's just a movie, Tom," one conciliar priest told me many a moon ago when I was a little "conservative" Catholic brave. "You gotta have some relaxation, don't you?"

No, we do not have our "relaxation" by polluting our eyes and our ears, which are, after all, the eyes of and ears of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by virtue of our incorporation into His Mystical Body, Holy Mother Church, in the Baptismal font, by means of watching and listening to "entertainment" fare that is not only an occasion of sin but an actual incentive to sin as the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer and the honor of His Most Blessed Mother are mocked and blasphemed. Could any believing Catholic in his right mind imagine that Our Lord Himself would plop down however money it costs to enter the devil's den known as motion picture theatre to sit idly by as His Holy Name and the honor of His Most Blessed Mother are offended?

The whole ethos of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service is one of accommodation to the false spirit of the world as "rock music" and "folk music" and the "silly symphonies" of the standard Brady Bunch music that is played in many conciliar parishes (Glory and praise to our God, Who alone gives light to our days. . . . Here's the story of a lovely lady...) have helped, along with the whole abominable ambiance of the Novus Ordo, to rob people of a respect for the sacred. It is a relatively easy thing for people to lose all sense of moral circumspection insofar as the popular culture is concerned when what they believe is Holy Mass is turned into a weekly hootenanny at which they can dress "down" in whatever casual or immodest attire imaginable. Catholics have thrown away the "shackles" of the past and are now participating actively in the rot the of popular culture in large, although not exclusive, measure because the "liturgy" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is a veritable enshrinement of that culture.

This loss of the sensus Catholicus that has seen Catholics plunge headlong into dens of the devil across the United States of America and elsewhere throughout the world has desensitized most Catholics to the very concept of the near occasion of sin as they have accepted most passively increasingly more offensive programming on television, not batting a proverbial eyelash over outright, direct attacks on the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Perpetual Virginity of His Most Blessed Mother and the very truths of the Catholic Faith. To paraphrase that conciliar priest who was content to leave his Faith at the door of the movie theater to have some "relaxation," "it's such a television show, right? Can't we have some 'fun' in our lives?" Remaining indifferent to, no less being influenced by, a steady dose of programming and "music" offensive to God is not "having fun." It is, objectively speaking, a sure path to Hell.

Then again, it is not a difficult thing to become desensitized to the rot of popular culture and the offenses given to God therein when one has become accustomed to the abominations of the aforementioned Novus Ordo and when the conciliar "pontiffs" and their "bishops" cause one scandal after another by committing, once again objectively speaking, gross acts of sacrilege and blasphemy against the honor and glory and majesty of God by means of false ecumenism and inter-religious "dialogue" and inter-religious "prayer services" and the incorporation of pagan rituals into what purports to be offerings of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The Christophobes in the popular culture know that they can "get away" with their own blasphemies as Catholics have become used to the blasphemies of syncretism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Thus it is that, without dignifying the name of the magazine (which is why I am not linking to any news story about this indescribably wretched attack upon the Immaculate Conception herself), the Mexican licensees of a certain publication that pioneered "mainstream" indecency in the United States of America back in the 1950s printed 100,000 copies of an issue that is nothing other than a direct, blasphemous and scandalous attack upon Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Oh, the American headquarters of this enterprise of smut and degradation has "apologized" for any "offense" given by its Mexican licensee in the publication of an issue that featured this direct assault upon Our Lady of Guadalupe, she who is the Queen of Mexico and the Empress and the Patroness of the Americas. May our dear God have mercy on us all for whatever role our own sins have played in bringing us to such a state of things.

This outrage is, of course, nothing other than yet another act of diabolical revenge exacted upon Our Lady for having converted so many millions of people in Mexico and elsewhere in the Americas out of their immersion in the pagan superstition and barbarism of the Aztecs and other false religions. The devil is not content to rest on the fact that he has used his Masonic minions in Mexico to kill thousands upon thousands of Catholics and to blaspheme Catholic churches and to inspire a conciliar "monsignor" to cast doubt on the existence of Juan Diego and the apparition of Our Lady! No, the devil hates the Mother of God, knowing full well that a society that dishonors her will be a society that is kept very firmly in his own evil grip.

The smarmy people who run the publishing enterprise of smut responsible for the ruination of countless numbers of souls know full well that they can "get away" with these direct, blasphemous assaults upon Our Lady as the conciliar "bishops" will take little effective action against them.

Sure, Dr. William Donohue of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights will huff and puff for the cameras. He is not going to inform the American public, however, that such smutty magazines would never have an opportunity to offend God and to lead countless millions of souls into lives of unrepentant sin, thereby worsening social order in the process, in a nation founded and maintained on right principles. A civil state founded on a proper relationship between the civil state and the true Church is one that recognizes, either in that civil state's constitution or in a concordat with the Holy See, that there are limits exist in the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law beyond which men, whether acting individually or collectively with others, may not go licitly and that the Catholic Church has the authority to intervene as as last resort with civil officials after the discharge of her Indirect Power of teaching and preaching and exhortation when the good of souls demands her maternal intervention.

Alas, the conciliarists have conceded the "correctness" of the religiously indifferentist principles of the Modern civil state, thereby denying that God Himself has given His true Church the absolute right to be recognized by the civil state as the true religion and has invested her with Divine authority to safeguard the good of souls when civil officials propose or permit things contrary to the good of souls, and what is contrary to the good of souls is contrary also to the good of nations, as Pope Leo XIII noted in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:

So, too, the liberty of thinking, and of publishing, whatsoever each one likes, without any hindrance, is not in itself an advantage over which society can wisely rejoice. On the contrary, it is the fountain-head and origin of many evils. Liberty is a power perfecting man, and hence should have truth and goodness for its object. But the character of goodness and truth cannot be changed at option. These remain ever one and the same, and are no less unchangeable than nature itself. If the mind assents to false opinions, and the will chooses and follows after what is wrong, neither can attain its native fullness, but both must fall from their native dignity into an abyss of corruption. Whatever, therefore, is opposed to virtue and truth may not rightly be brought temptingly before the eye of man, much less sanctioned by the favor and protection of the law. A well-spent life is the only way to heaven, whither all are bound, and on this account the State is acting against the laws and dictates of nature whenever it permits the license of opinion and of action to lead minds astray from truth and souls away from the practice of virtue. To exclude the Church, founded by God Himself, from the business of life, from the making of laws, from the education of youth, from domestic society is a grave and fatal error. A State from which religion is banished can never be well regulated; and already perhaps more than is desirable is known of the nature and tendency of the so-called civil philosophy of life and morals. The Church of Christ is the true and sole teacher of virtue and guardian of morals. She it is who preserves in their purity the principles from which duties flow, and, by setting forth most urgent reasons for virtuous life, bids us not only to turn away from wicked deeds, but even to curb all movements of the mind that are opposed to reason, even though they be not carried out in action.

Conciliarists must oppose various moral evils as the sort on display in Mexico at the present time on the grounds that they "offend" Catholics. It is almost impossible for most conciliarists to say, at least publicly and especially when interviewed on television or the radio, that these evils offend God and that there is no civil "right" possessed by anyone to promote a single one of these evils under cover of law. Catholics do indeed believe in censorship. Catholics do not believe in the "liberty of conscience" promoted by the scions of Modernity in the world and Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Catholics believe with Saint Augustine that "the death of the soul is worse than the freedom of error," as Pope Gregory XVI amplified in Mirari Vos, August 15, 1832:

This shameful font of indifferentism gives rise to that absurd and erroneous proposition which claims that liberty of conscience must be maintained for everyone. It spreads ruin in sacred and civil affairs, though some repeat over and over again with the greatest impudence that some advantage accrues to religion from it. "But the death of the soul is worse than freedom of error," as Augustine was wont to say. When all restraints are removed by which men are kept on the narrow path of truth, their nature, which is already inclined to evil, propels them to ruin. Then truly "the bottomless pit" is open from which John saw smoke ascending which obscured the sun, and out of which locusts flew forth to devastate the earth. Thence comes transformation of minds, corruption of youths, contempt of sacred things and holy laws -- in other words, a pestilence more deadly to the state than any other. Experience shows, even from earliest times, that cities renowned for wealth, dominion, and glory perished as a result of this single evil, namely immoderate freedom of opinion, license of free speech, and desire for novelty.

Here We must include that harmful and never sufficiently denounced freedom to publish any writings whatever and disseminate them to the people, which some dare to demand and promote with so great a clamor. We are horrified to see what monstrous doctrines and prodigious errors are disseminated far and wide in countless books, pamphlets, and other writings which, though small in weight, are very great in malice. We are in tears at the abuse which proceeds from them over the face of the earth. Some are so carried away that they contentiously assert that the flock of errors arising from them is sufficiently compensated by the publication of some book which defends religion and truth. Every law condemns deliberately doing evil simply because there is some hope that good may result. Is there any sane man who would say poison ought to be distributed, sold publicly, stored, and even drunk because some antidote is available and those who use it may be snatched from death again and again?

The Church has always taken action to destroy the plague of bad books. This was true even in apostolic times for we read that the apostles themselves burned a large number of books. It may be enough to consult the laws of the fifth Council of the Lateran on this matter and the Constitution which Leo X published afterwards lest "that which has been discovered advantageous for the increase of the faith and the spread of useful arts be converted to the contrary use and work harm for the salvation of the faithful." This also was of great concern to the fathers of Trent, who applied a remedy against this great evil by publishing that wholesome decree concerning the Index of books which contain false doctrine."We must fight valiantly," Clement XIII says in an encyclical letter about the banning of bad books, "as much as the matter itself demands and must exterminate the deadly poison of so many books; for never will the material for error be withdrawn, unless the criminal sources of depravity perish in flames." Thus it is evident that this Holy See has always striven, throughout the ages, to condemn and to remove suspect and harmful books. The teaching of those who reject the censure of books as too heavy and onerous a burden causes immense harm to the Catholic people and to this See. They are even so depraved as to affirm that it is contrary to the principles of law, and they deny the Church the right to decree and to maintain it.

This is the teaching of the Catholic Church. There is no advertence to the "dignity of man" or to a mythical"civilization of love" or "human solidarity," Masonic concepts that have been advanced by the counterfeit church of conciliarism, including a recent elegy of praise offered by a conciliar "archbishop" in behalf of the United Masonic Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (an elegy of praise that will be examined in an upcoming article). The Catholic Church speaks in clear terms and makes no compromises in principle with the spirit of the world that leaves her children to believe that various errors and evils can be overcome by "good example" without any effort to suppress on the part of the civil state to suppress them.

Pope Leo XIII's Apostolic Constitution on the Prohibition and Censorship of Books, Officiorum ac Munerum, January 25, 1897, was most explicit when dealing with the sort of smut being trafficked in Mexico at this time:

CHAPTER IV Of Obscene Books

9.   Books which professedly treat of, narrate, or teach lewd or obscene subjects are entirely prohibited, since care must be taken not only of Faith but also of Morals, which are easily corrupted by the reading of such books.

10.  The books of classical authors, whether ancient or modern, if disfigured with the same stain of indecency, are, on account of the elegance and beauty of their diction, permitted only to those who are justified on account of their duty or the function of teaching; but on no account may they be placed in the hands of, or taught to, boys or youths, unless carefully expurgated.

Pope Pius XI, writing in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929, explained the vigilance that must be exercised by parents in keeping bad materials out of the hands of their children:

More than ever nowadays an extended and careful vigilance is necessary, inasmuch as the dangers of moral and religious shipwreck are greater for inexperienced youth. Especially is this true of impious and immoral books, often diabolically circulated at low prices; of the cinema, which multiplies every kind of exhibition; and now also of the radio, which facilitates every kind of communications. These most powerful means of publicity, which can be of great utility for instruction and education when directed by sound principles, are only too often used as an incentive to evil passions and greed for gain. St. Augustine deplored the passion for the shows of the circus which possessed even some Christians of his time, and he dramatically narrates the infatuation for them, fortunately only temporary, of his disciple and friend Alipius. How often today must parents and educators bewail the corruption of youth brought about by the modern theater and the vile book!

Pope Leo XIII, writing in Humanum Genus, April 20, 1884, explained that one of the chief goals of the naturalists of the Masonic lodges was to undermine the morality of the youth, thereby drawing them away from the true Faith and the practice of the Sacraments:

Moreover, human nature was stained by original sin, and is therefore more disposed to vice than to virtue. For a virtuous life it is absolutely necessary to restrain the disorderly movements of the soul, and to make the passions obedient to reason. In this conflict human things must very often be despised, and the greatest labors and hardships must be undergone, in order that reason may always hold its sway. But the naturalists and Freemasons, having no faith in those things which we have learned by the revelation of God, deny that our first parents sinned, and consequently think that free will is not at all weakened and inclined to evil. On the contrary, exaggerating rather the power and the excellence of nature, and placing therein alone the principle and rule of justice, they cannot even imagine that there is any need at all of a constant struggle and a perfect steadfastness to overcome the violence and rule of our passions.

Wherefore we see that men are publicly tempted by the many allurements of pleasure; that there are journals and pamphlets with neither moderation nor shame; that stage-plays are remarkable for license; that designs for works of art are shamelessly sought in the laws of a so-called verism; that the contrivances of a soft and delicate life are most carefully devised; and that all the blandishments of pleasure are diligently sought out by which virtue may be lulled to sleep. Wickedly, also, but at the same time quite consistently, do those act who do away with the expectation of the joys of heaven, and bring down all happiness to the level of mortality, and, as it were, sink it in the earth. Of what We have said the following fact, astonishing not so much in itself as in its open expression, may serve as a confirmation. For, since generally no one is accustomed to obey crafty and clever men so submissively as those whose soul is weakened and broken down by the domination of the passions, there have been in the sect of the Freemasons some who have plainly determined and proposed that, artfully and of set purpose, the multitude should be satiated with a boundless license of vice, as, when this had been done, it would easily come under their power and authority for any acts of daring.

Those who want to believe that they can fight naturalism that makes possible such outrages as those being perpetrated against Mary our Immaculate Queen at this time by enabling the career of naturalists in the political realm had better wake up. Naturalism is the problem and no one who believes as a matter of principle in the false, naturalistic, religiously indifferentist/anti-Incarnational and semi-Pelagian foundations of the Modern civil state is any part of any solution to the mess that we are in, a mess that has been enabled by the counterfeit church of conciliarism's "reconciliation" with those very false principles. It is to Our Lady that we must turn to help us to make endless acts of reparation through her Most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to the Most Sacred Heart of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who is so offended and grieved by these crimes against her.

It is with this in mind that I propose Monday, December 15, 2008, the Octave Day of the Feast of Our Lady's Immaculate Conception, as a day of reparation for the offenses given to Our Lady in Mexico. I am a sinner,  a terrible sinner who has much for which to make reparation before I die. It is my hope, however, that each of us who is now aware of this outrage can help to make reparation for it as well as for our own sins by fasting this Monday and by praying at least one extra set of mysteries of her Most Holy Rosary. This is the least, I believe, that we can do to express our sorrow to the Most Blessed Trinity for how our own past sins and our own uncritical participation in the culture in the past have offended the Divine honor and caused Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, out of which the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was formed, to be so wounded.

The lords of Hell who "own" popular culture will either be converted or they will go to the place whose bidding they do as they blaspheme the Mother of God, that place of eternal hellfire where the souls of the damned are deprived of the very end for which they have been created, the glory of the Beatific Vision of Father, Son and Holy Ghost for all eternity. We must pray for their conversion as we withdraw ourselves from any participation in their diabolical wares as we eschew worldliness and attempt to grow in holiness as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Yes, we will be considered"fools" for being so "sensitive" about the rights of God and the honor of His Most Blessed Mother. Deo gratias! Thanks be to God that we will be considered "fools" for being so "sensitive." And shame on us if we have not been so sensitive in the past, and how grateful we must be that we have been kept alive long enough to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as we surrender our liberty to the very Mother of God who made possible our salvation.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
