Ratzinger's Revolution Unravels

Part Two

The doctrinal and liturgical revolutions that were decades in the making before they were launched and then instituted in the years following the "election" of Angelo Roncalli on October 28, 1958, have had devastating effects upon the eternal and temporal good of souls and for the right ordering of men and their nations, each of which depends upon the truths of the Catholic Faith as the basis of all good order in the world.

As has been noted so many times before on this little read and much castigated website, one of the most little discussed effects of the doctrinal and conciliar revolutions has been the almost total destruction of the sensus Catholicus within the souls of a large percentage of Catholics alive today. Having been convinced by the blitzkrieg of liturgical changes that burst upon them in the 1950s and 1960s, culminating in that perpetual spawner of sacrileges and outrages that is the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, that ceaseless change was now an ordinary and expected part of what they believed to be the Catholic Faith, so many Catholics lost almost all sense of decency and honor, starting with honor for the Most Blessed Trinity, as they plunged themselves headlong into attitudes that were either indifferent of the horror of personal sin. Many of these Catholics, having had their souls deformed in supposedly Catholic schools and colleges and universities and institutions of professional learning (law schools, medical schools, etc.) and from the very pulpits in the church buildings where stagings of the "new Mass" took place, began to justify aberrant personal behavior in the name of "human rights," "diversity," "choice," "freedom," "tolerance," "understanding," "compassion" and, among so many others, "conscience."

The loss of this sensus Catholicus, on the part of ordinary Catholics, began with the loss of the sensus fidei (the sense of the Faith) by the leaders of the doctrinal and liturgical revolutions, each of whom fell from the Faith by adhering to, no less publicly promoting, propositions that had been condemned by the teaching authority of the Catholic Church and are thus completely irreformable (see Paragraph Nine of Pope Leo XIII's Satis Cognitum, June 29, 1896, appended below as a way of refreshing your memory of this truth).

The revolutionaries of the counterfeit church of conciliarism understood that the only contact that most Catholics had with their holy religion was when they went to what they thought was Holy Mass on Sundays (or, in the un-Catholic world of conciliarism, on Saturday afternoon or evening to get the Sunday "obligation out of the way"). It was necessary, therefore, to change the Sacred Liturgy into a singular vessel of perdition into which could be poured the elements of doctrinal corruption that would pave the way to the ready acceptance and embrace of moral corruption as being not in the least offensive to a "loving" God or in any way harmful to their eternal salvation.

A ready acceptance of even perverse sins against nature has become commonplace in the lives of so many Catholics, most of whom do not have the benefit of having true Sacraments are are thus more ready to embrace the false currents of the world that are at the foundation of the the false representations made to them by the conciliar revolutionaries. Need we be reminded that such conciliar revolutionaries as Rembert George Weakland, (see Weak In Mind, Weakest Yet In Faith and Just A Matter of Forgiveness?) and Roger "Cardinal" Mahony (see The Six Hundred Million Dollar Man and His Friends, Yes, Sir, Master Scribe and Apostasy Is His Field), and, among so many others Howard Hubbard, whose scoffing at New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's concubinage and support for chemical and surgical baby-killing and "marriage" for people of the same gender was discussed in Memo To Howard Hubbard: Public Scandal Is Never A Private Matter, have helped to promote the "lavender" agenda in so many ways? It is such a promotion of the what Mrs. Randy Engel calls the "homosexaulist collective" that has made it more and more possible for ordinary Catholics, accustomed to doctrinal and liturgical aberrations as perfectly consonant with the Holy Faith, to cheer at the "advances" being made by "society" in behalf of "loving couples."

Propagandizing in behalf of perversity is common throughout the conciliar structures. Such propagandizing begins even in Kindergarten with the rot that is explicit classroom instruction in matters pertaining the Sixth and Ninth Commandments, right through Twelfth Grade. Religious education programs and theological seminars and "updating" programs are staffed in many instances by open practitioners of perversity and/or by those who are "sympathetic" to "gays" in the name of "compassion" and "tolerance" and "diversity." Countless numbers of alleged liturgies have been held to "celebrate" the "rainbow agenda," including very notoriously at Most Holy Redeemer Church in San Francisco, California, Saint Francis Xavier Church in the Borough of Manhattan in the City of New York, New York, and Saint Joan of Arc Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Countless also are the formerly Catholic colleges that promote this sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance, doing so with plays and "readings" and entire courses and by permitting those who are engaged in unrepentant sins of perversity to identify themselves publicly and to form clubs and groups and associations that recruit members.

The very language of the conciliar liturgy, yes, even in the Latin editio typica, is meant to reflect a "new theology" that discards any kind of emphasis on the need for outward acts of penance as belonging to a "different age in the history of the Church:"

The same awareness of the present state of the world also influenced the use of texts from very ancient tradition. It seemed that this cherished treasure would not be harmed if some phrases were changed so that the style of language would be more in accord with the language of modern theology and would faithfully reflect the actual state of the Church's discipline. Thus there have been changes of some expressions bearing on the evaluation and use of the good things of the earth and of allusions to a particular form of outward penance belonging to another age in the history of the Church. Liturgical art, architecture and music have been influenced by the lavender agenda in so many parishes in so many archdioceses and dioceses and religious communities that are in "full communion" with Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI as to defy an accurate count. Even "conservative" websites carry news of the scandalous goings-on in Europe that have continued for decades and seem to get worse and worse over the course of time. This is only natural, of course, as that which is founded in a rebellion against Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law must degenerate more and more over the course of time. This is what happened as the revolt led by Martin Luther resulted in a corruption of morals among his own "evangelicals" that shocked him but which he could see or accept as having been caused by leading them out of the true Church and the infallible teaching and sacramental helps that she, Holy Mother Church, gave them to overcome their sins and to grow in the pursuit of personal sanctity. A like manner of events have unfolded at lightning speed in our own days. Sacramentally-barren liturgical rites designed and implemented, to one extent or another, by men steeped in theological error and personal vice have created. Men must fall into the depths of moral depravity when they are deprived of the fullness of the Sacred Deposit of Faith and when they are deprived of the Sanctifying Graces that they need to resist sin and to recognize that no one but no one is ever free to identify himself, no less doing so proudly, as one is who is inclined to, if not actually engaged in, the commission of sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance.

Moreover, the "lavender-friendly" environment created by theological Modernists and moral relativists in the conciliar structure has been as effective in catechizing large numbers of Catholics into support "marriage" for persons of the same gender as have their efforts to propagandize in behalf of the chemical and surgical assassination of children. A Gallup poll survey released three months indicated that there is now a majority of Americans support such "marriage," with most of the growth in support for this outrage coming from self-identified members of the organized crime family of naturalism of the false opposite of the "left," the Democratic Party. The passage from the Gallup Poll's own narrative on the survey results speaks volumes about the success that propagandists in behalf of perversity have had in "educating" Catholics on the matter over the past few decades:

While it is undoubtedly true that there are cultural forces at work to promote acceptance of the abomination of "same gender marriage," we must remember that those cultural forces were let loose, proximately speaking, as a result of the Protestant Revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King and its subsequent degeneration into such a morass of different sects as to make possible the rise and the triumph of the naturalism advanced by the lords of Judeo-Masonry who control law, education, science, popular culture, commerce and finance. Those cultural forces have gained steam in the past forty years precisely because God has been deprived of the glory that would have been given Him by true Masses offered by true priests and because the world has been deprived of the graces that the people within it need to resist the ways of the devil as they rely upon the tender mercies of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus as devoted clients and consecrated slaves of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Although there have been times of moral dissolution in the history of the Catholic Church, there has never been a time when priests have openly promoted sinful behavior as good. Sure, sinners we have had aplenty in the hierarchy and the priesthood and religious life ad the laity. Each of us happens to be a sinner, after all. There just has not been a time before this when men who believe themselves to be priests can endorse unspeakable crimes against children or for Catholics to write an editorial (Step Down the Aisle) in a supposedly Catholic newspaper in support of "cohabitation," praising Prince William and his new wife, the former Kate Middleton, for having done so prior to the wedding that took place in Westminster Abbey, which was stolen in 1539 from the Catholic Church during the time of King Henry VIII's own revolution and, after a brief period of restoration under Queen Mary starting in the year 1553, stolen again by the hideous murderer named Queen Elizabeth I in the year 1559.

Numerous articles on this site (including, but far from limited to, Of Worldwide Scope, Always Evading Root Causes, Swinging Clubs To Protect The Club, Surely He Jests, "Canonizing" A Man Who Protected Moral Derelicts, More Than A Matter of Legality, Audio Presentation: Scandal In a Church of Apostasy.WMA, "Fall Guys" Aren't Usually "Stand-Up Guys", Apologizing to Everyone Save For God Himself, Not Going Down With the Conciliar Ship, Touchy, Touchy, Chastisements Under Which We Must Save Our Souls, part two, Not So "Deplorable" After All, and Future Home of the "Reform of the Reform") have dealt with the modus operandi of conciliar "bishop" after conciliar "bishop" and their chancery factotums who have recruited, promoted and protected men inclined to--and/or guilty of--the commission of perverse sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. Millions upon millions of Catholics worldwide have been scandalized by this Mafioso-style criminal cover-up of spiritual and moral crimes that has now landed several prominent stuff-shirt clericalists from the chancery office in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in deep trouble with the civil authorities as they face a trial for their role in protecting their perverted clergymen, which is one of the reasons that the conciliar "archbishop" there, Justin "Cardinal" Rigali, stepped aside recently.

The scandals, of course, do not stop at the water's edge of the United States of America. As we know only too well, this same modus operandi has been employed in the false "pontiff's" own native Germany, where he himself presided over a meeting on January 15, 1980, during which a known abuser from another diocese was assigned to a parish in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising at a time when he was the conciliar "cardinal archbishop" there. Cover up scandals have also erupted in Belgium and Ireland, driving thousands upon thousands of Catholics out of the conciliar structures.

The scandals in Ireland have been brought right to the false "pontiff's" own doorstep as he, Ratzinger/Benedict, has not demanded the resignation of a single "bishop" guilty of protecting abusive clergymen (see Care Not For God's Truth, Care Not For Any Truth). The seal of the confessional (and there are many older true priests in Ireland, some of whom, I am told, the use the traditional form of absolution) itself is now being threatened in the land once rich with saints and scholars as Irish civil authorities. In the face of all of this, of course, Ratzinger/Benedict is totally impassive. After all, World Youth Day is coming up. The great warrior against dogmatic truth and the Scholasticism of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the great promoter of false ecumenism and religious liberty and separation of Church and State and the perpetrator of blasphemies against the honor and glory and majesty of God by praising false religions, esteeming their idolatrous symbols and giving joint "blessings" with their "clergy" is just too busy to be concerned about the loss of souls.

Why should be surprised, to find out that the cesspool of doctrinal and liturgical corruption that has long been the Archdiocese of Miami has had its dirty legacy of moral corruption, which has been known to many Catholics for a long time, exposed for all the world to see? Yes, the trail of such corruption goes all the way down Interstate 95 and US-1, that is, from Boston, Massachusetts, to the "sun and fun capital of the world," Miami Beach, as the conciliar "pontiff" continues his warfare against Catholic truth and thus against us all.

Here is a just brief synopsis of the thoroughly disgusting details of a study about the scandals in the Archdiocese of Miami that has been complied by a lay group, Christifidelis, based New York, as the actual report itself is not fit to be read in any form other than a synopsis:

An extensive homosexual network within the Archdiocese of Miami, Florida, has been exposed by a New York-based magazine that ordinarily specializes in gossip about celebrities.

Gawker bases its report on a detailed dossier that was compiled by a loyal Catholic group, Christifidelis, reporting a widespread and longstanding pattern of homosexual conduct among Miami archdiocesan leaders, including former Archbishop John Favalora. Christifidelis had compiled the information quietly, and intended to show the evidence only to Vatican officials; but Gawker obtained a copy of the report, entitled Miami Vice, and has made the entire dossier available online.

The Christifidelis dossier captured the Vatican’s attention, Gawker reports, and led to the resignation of Archbishop Favalora, who stepped down last year at the age of 74. He was replaced by Archbishop Thomas Wenski—who was, according to Gawker, sent by the Vatican to uproot the homosexual culture in the Miami clergy.

The report from Miami provides accounts of homosexual activity at the archdiocesan seminary and among leading priests of the archdiocese. This activity was condoned, if not actively encouraged, by archdiocesan officials, Christifidelis argues. The report also points to homosexual activity by bishops in other dioceses within the Miami metropolitan region.

Archbishop John Favalora led the Miami archdiocese from 1994 until his retirement in 2010. He had previously been Bishop of St. Petersburg from 1989 to 1994. (Miami Goes Up In Flames.)


Although "Archbishop" Thomas Wenski, who is considered to be a "conservative" within the counterfeit church of conciliarism (and whom I met, if ever so briefly, when he staged a Novus Ordo liturgy at Saint Malachy's Church in Tamarac, Florida, on Saturday, October 31, 1998, prior to a luncheon where I received, much to my utter shame and embarrassment, something called the "The Pope John Paul II Defender of the the Faith Award;" yes, I have very, very much for which to make reparation before I die; all right, all right, my wife has told me to let the twelve of you who are left reading my site know that I was also the "lector" at that service, something that I did not want to do but did anyway, the last time that I did so; yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes, I am in need of making much reparation for my sins), has been to "clean things up" in the Archdiocese of Miami, perhaps it should be noted that the man Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI recently "beatified," Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II appointed John Favalora as the "archbishop" of that cesspool on November 3, 1994. Ah, yes, the "Blessed" John Paul II the Great. Ah, yes, a man who fulfilled his duties of state. And it took five years for Ratzinger/Benedict to convince Favalora to go?


(There is a similar story about the Christian Brothers in the Diocese of Ballarat, Australia, that has profane words and thus will not be linked. I will, though, quote just one sentence from this story: "They [the priests of the Christian Brothers] just hunted like a pack of dogs." One of the darlings of "conservative" Catholics in Australia, George "Cardinal" Pell, also a favorite of Ratzinger/Benedict's, was the episcopal vicar for education in the Diocese of Ballarat from 1973-1984. He is said to have had no knowledge of the scandals even though the Christian Brothers were running schools under his supervision. The corruption is vast.)

Indemnifying Sin and Protecting the "Institution" and Its Ways at All costs

The truth about the proliferation of scandals in the counterfeit church of conciliarism is indeed quite simple, something that I have tried to point out any number of times in various articles and in an audio presentation last year (Scandal In a Church of Apostasy.WMA).

Parents and victims have been victimized by "bishops" and "priests" once they brought their legitimate complaints to them, who they believed to be shepherds of the Catholic Church.

Parents and victims have been victimized and bullied and browbeaten by attorneys employed by archdioceses and dioceses and religious communities.

Parents and victims have been victimized and bullied and browbeaten by attorneys employed by insurance companies.

"Bishops" and "priests" and chancery factotums have lied openly and repeatedly to parents and victims and to the general public, Catholics and non-Catholics alike.

The conciliar "popes" have refused in most, although not all, instances, to impose ecclesiastical sanctions on "bishops" and "priests" guilty of immoral activity and/or of treating the sheep with cruelty and bitter vindictiveness for daring to come forth with their true stories of suffering beyond all imagining.

A vast network of those engaged in perverse acts against nature and/or supportive of such acts has been created in the conciliar hierarchy of the United States of America and elsewhere in the world. This network exists in seminaries and religious communities and parishes and diocesan/archdiocesan chancery offices and schools and universities and colleges. It is all pervasive.

As noted in the Christifidelis study, psychologists and psychiatrists in the employ of--or contracted by--officials of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have been directed to deem as "normal" and "well-adjusted" candidates for admission to seminary study and/or religious life if they are not "rigid" and "inflexible" in matters of Faith and Morals, that is, if they are open to "change" and "new directions." This has created, at best, an effeminate clergy in the conciliar church and, at worst, a perverted one. Some, such as a "Father" Thomas O'Dwyer in the Archdiocese of Miami, joked that his archdiocese could not only ten out of its one hundred-eighteen parishes if the "Holy Father" got rid of all of its "gay priests."

"Bishops" in the United States of America and the Republic of Ireland and the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Belgium and elsewhere have been able to undermine the innocence and purity of children by means of explicit, indeed shockingly sinful, classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth Commandment without a single word of reproof from any conciliar "pope." This includes "Archbishops" Thomas Wenski and Charles Chaput, O.F.M., Cap. Every conciliar "ordinary" undermines the innocence and purity of the young by means of such explicit classroom instruction.

The life of the Holy Faith has been lost in the souls of many people as a result of the perverted behavior of priests and presbyter and then again as a result of the clericalism exhibited by chancery officials to use their clerical clubs to beat away the sheep and to intimidate them into silence in order to protect their own clerical club of privilege is itself a perversion of the Holy Priesthood that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ instituted at the Last Supper. Priests have not been ordained to protect the reputations of those of their subordinates they know to be guilty of serious moral crimes or to assure themselves a steady flow of income.

Priests have been ordained to serve as "other Christs" as they administer unto us, the sheep entrusted to their pastoral care, the Sacraments that the very One to Whom their immortal souls were figured at the moment of their priestly ordination instituted for our sanctification and salvation. The members of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's true flock should not have to live in fear of their shepherds when they bring legitimate concerns to their attention to be resolved in a forthright, fair and just manner without at all seeking to indemnify unrepentant, recidivist wrongdoers who have proved themselves to be threats to souls, starting with their very own.

The culture of perversion in the Archdiocese of Miami is something that John Favalora cultivated. He cared nothing about souls. He demonstrated himself to be a reprobate. The protection of his perverse "pleasures" was more important to him than all else as he participated in a cover-up of his own indecency and that of his clergy. This pattern of corruption, known to the Vatican for a long time, where there has been all too frequently just outright indifference of the horror of the sin of Sodom, which is one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance.

This is all part and parcel of the conciliar revolution that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI helped to plan and then institute. He is completely powerless to steer his conciliar ship off its present course of self-destruction as its liturgical rites are false and thus barren of all grace and its doctrines are a mixture of corrupt versions of Catholic teaching and outright denials of the Holy Faith altogether.

Giving The Devil An Opening By Way of Protestantism

Countless numbers of Catholics have been so scandalized by the doctrinal, liturgical and moral aberrations of conciliarism that they have become Protestants, some of whose members exhibit real courage when confronted with stark choices between good and evil.

Consider this story of how a Protestant, who has what appear to be the last name of a Polish Catholic, resigned her civil service position in a town clerk's office in upstate New York rather than preside over "marriages" between people of the same gender:

ALBANY, New York, July 13, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Reacting to the news that the first New York State town clerk has resigned rather than sign her name on a same-sex “marriage” license, Gov. Andrew Cuomo insisted Tuesday that “the law is the law.”

“When you enforce the laws of the state, you don’t get to pick and choose which laws,” he said, according to the NY Daily News.  “You don’t get to say, ‘I like this law and I’ll enforce this law, or I don’t like this law and I won’t enforce this law’ - you can’t do that.”

“So if you can’t enforce the law, then you shouldn’t be in that position,” he added.

Laura Fotusky, a clerk in the town of Barker, announced her resignation Monday on the website of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms.  “I cannot put my signature on something that is against God,” she wrote in her resignation letter.  “The Bible clearly teaches that God created marriage between male and female as a divine gift that preserves families and cultures.”

“I would be compromising my moral conscience if I participated in the licensing procedure,” she added.

Fotusky, who was first appointed in 2007, said she will resign as of July 21st, three days before the law takes effect.  “I had to choose between my God and my job,” she told PressConnects.

Rev. Jason J. McGuire, executive director of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, said, “It is unfortunate that when state senators were busy protecting liberal special interests and padding their campaign accounts, that they failed to protect good people of faith.”

The state legislature passed the Marriage Equality Act on June 24th, making it the sixth U.S. state to recognize homosexual “marriage,” in addition to the District of Columbia.

Within days, a town clerk in Volney, near Syracuse, announced that she was fighting to protect her right not to sign the licenses.  “If there’s any possible way to not do it legally, then yes, I would not want to put my name on any of those certificates or papers,” Barbara MacEwen told Politico. “That’s their life, they can do it, but I don’t feel I should be forced into something that’s against my morals and my God.”

As a result of MacEwen’s effort, however, the district attorney in Nassau County sent a letter to town and city clerks last week warning that they would face criminal prosecution if they refused to sign the licenses.

The Marriage Equality Act “affords no discretion to public officials charged with granting marriage licenses,” wrote Kathleen Rice.

“The religious exemptions in the Marriage Equality Act are inapplicable to town and city clerks serving in their license-granting roles,” she continued, “and a public official’s intentional refusal to issue marriage licenses to qualified same-sex couples may constitute Official Misconduct, a Class A misdemeanor defined in section 195.00 of the New York State Penal Law.”

Gov. Cuomo told reporters Tuesday that the law takes precedence over public officials’ religious beliefs.  “If you’re saying you’re going to act through your religious beliefs rather than what is the law of the state, then you can’t operate in a position where you’re supposed to be enforcing the laws, right?” he said, according to NY Daily News.  “Because the laws would have to be paramount, and would have to be paramount to your religious beliefs.”

The conscience rights of public employees handling marriage licenses have been routinely trampled in jurisdictions where same-sex “marriages” are permitted.

When gay “marriage” was introduced in California in 2008, several counties closed their offices to wedding ceremonies rather than face legal repercussions for refusing to cater to homosexual couples.

In the U.K., a Christian registrar met with defeat after years of litigation, after her employer threatened to fire her for rearranging her schedule in order not to participate in the granting of marriage licenses to homosexuals.

Earlier this year in Saskatchewan, Canada, the provincial government decided not to appeal a court ruling that said marriage commissioners in the province were not permitted to opt-out of performing gay “marriages.” The court had said that allowing commissioners to refuse to perform same-sex “marriages” would send “a strong and sinister message” that “gays and lesbians are less worthy of protection as individuals in Canada’s society.”

In a district of Amsterdam, where gay “marriage” has been legally recognized since 2007, marriage commissioners are slated to undergo a yearly review to ensure full cooperation with the change, after two employees were suspected of resistance. (New York clerk resigns.)


It is to our utter shame as Catholics that a Protestant, perhaps one who had been baptized a Catholic, must stand out as one of a kind in this regard.

Where are the Catholics? Where? Where? Are they so afraid of losing their jobs that they take sick leave or days off to avoid the "wedding rush"? Have they become so accustomed to one compromise after another made with the world of mammon that even a prophetic witness in behalf of truth, disregarding any and all considerations of formal and material cooperation concerning working in such an office without having to preside over such perverse ceremonies, by resigning one's position in protest is considered to be "idealistic"? Resignation sends a message: "This is evil! I want to be nowhere near it. Hunger is better than the paycheck."

Only a Catholic who is caught up in a spirit of Americanist legal minimalism can salve his conscience by saying that everything is all right with him before God because some other clerk in his office is doing these terrible things, not him.

Such a Catholic ought to check out these prophetic words of Pope Leo XIII that are clarion call to our duty before God and our fellow men as citizens of Heaven by way of our membership in His Holy Catholic Church:

But, if the laws of the State are manifestly at variance with the divine law, containing enactments hurtful to the Church, or conveying injunctions adverse to the duties imposed by religion, or if they violate in the person of the supreme Pontiff the authority of Jesus Christ, then, truly, to resist becomes a positive duty, to obey, a crime; a crime, moreover, combined with misdemeanor against the State itself, inasmuch as every offense leveled against religion is also a sin against the State. Here anew it becomes evident how unjust is the reproach of sedition; for the obedience due to rulers and legislators is not refused, but there is a deviation from their will in those precepts only which they have no power to enjoin. Commands that are issued adversely to the honor due to God, and hence are beyond the scope of justice, must be looked upon as anything rather than laws. You are fully aware, venerable brothers, that this is the very contention of the Apostle St. Paul, who, in writing to Titus, after reminding Christians that they are "to be subject to princes and powers, and to obey at a word," at once adds: "And to be ready to every good work."(7) Thereby he openly declares that, if laws of men contain injunctions contrary to the eternal law of God, it is right not to obey them. In like manner, the Prince of the Apostles gave this courageous and sublime answer to those who would have deprived him of the liberty of preaching the Gospel: "If it be just in the sight of God to hear you rather than God, judge ye, for we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."(8)

11. Wherefore, to love both countries, that of earth below and that of heaven above, yet in such mode that the love of our heavenly surpass the love of our earthly home, and that human laws be never set above the divine law, is the essential duty of Christians, and the fountainhead, so to say, from which all other duties spring. The Redeemer of mankind of Himself has said: "For this was I born, and for this came I into the world, that I should give testimony to the truth."(9) In like manner: "I am come to cast fire upon earth, and what will I but that it be kindled?"(10) In the knowledge of this truth, which constitutes the highest perfection of the mind; in divine charity which, in like manner, completes the will, all Christian life and liberty abide. This noble patrimony of truth and charity entrusted by Jesus Christ to the Church she defends and maintains ever with untiring endeavor and watchfulness. (Pope Leo XII, Sapientiae Christianae, January 10, 1890.)


The truths of the Holy Faith cannot be defended in this times by means of moral equivocation and mental reservations. The truths of the Holy Faith must defended with prophetic courage as we trust in the Holy Providence of God.

Then again, why should Catholics know this today? The Americanist bishops of yore didn't teach it. Neither have their successors in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, some of whom have been very busy driving Catholics into the waiting arms of Protestant sects and their snake-oil salesmen "ministers" who chortle heartily every time they snatch a baptized Catholic to become a tithing member of their congregation and participants in the false worship that they render unto the devil himself even though they do not realize that this is what it is they are doing.

Ratzinger's revolution, which is a marriage of Modernity and Modernism, has unraveled to such an extent that those who have been baptized and confirmed to defend the Faith as soldiers in the Army of Christ lay down their arms in a surrender of hopelessness at the first signs of difficulty that might cause them to suffer a little personal anguish and difficulty.

The Cross? That's for the other guy. It's not for me. Not now. Maybe if "they" do something else that's very terrible at some time in the future. Not now.

If it's not now, however, it will be never as those who learn to believe that refraining from a solid witness to the Catholic truth is offensive in the sight of the Most Blessed Trinity will always make a virtue out of cowardice no matter how many times they convince themselves that they are only making a "mental reservation."

We Must Have A Holy Indifference to Our Own Personal Suffering

Saint Anthony Mary Claret explained that each of us must have a holy indifference to our own personal suffering as we accept whatever situation that befalls us as occurring within the Providence of God, Who means to bring good out of each of the circumstances that occur, whether in our own lives or in the larger life of the world:


God's Providence demands that I have a heart of holy indifference--As it is arduous and difficult to gain one's last End without complete and holy indifference, it is likewise so much the easier to gain this End with it. To thoroughly convince yourself of this, weigh this truth:

(1) God is Infinite Wisdom and Knowledge. He knows and understands the means that lead with all security to the attainment of your last End. There are all kinds of means serviceable for the gaining of your last End--health and sickness, honor and dishonor, an honored calling to a lowly occupation--provided they are put to good use.

Now if you know the answer, tell me: What will lead you most securely to your last End? Is it the enjoyment of robust health, or is it a sickly condition? Is it a state of being honored and loved, or one of being insulted and hated? Is it holding a high post, or having a humble employment? This something that you do not know, nor do I, nor does anybody else in the world. All those things are mysteries that no perception can penetrate except only the perception of Him Who is Almighty.

(2) God is Infinite Love, Who always arranged for souls the surest means for reaching their last End--surest, provided they always keep themselves in holy indifference and proper balance. God deals with souls as a mother who fondly loves her tender child.

As a true mother is incapable of giving poison to her beloved child, even more so is God incapable of providing anything harmful for a soul that surrenders itself to Him with complete indifference. O my soul, become for once fully convinced that if God visits you with illness, that this is the surest way for leading you to reach your last End; when He allows you to be despised and belittled, when He placed you in darkness, in desolation, in trials, that is the surest way for you to advance to your last End.

3) God is Infinite Power, and He helps infallibly to its last End the soul constant in holy indifference and proper balance. And who will be so bold and so daring that he can put an obstacle before God? And what will be the result? A heap of misfortune for which you cannot weep enough. Reflect well on this and what follows.

It is quite certain that such a soul must of necessity suffer in this world more than another soul. You greatly deceive yourself, my soul, if you imagine that you can escape the troubles which God's Love holds in store for you as means to your last End. You will never be able to do so. You will suffer, and you will necessarily have to suffer the pains and ailments, the contempt and mistreatments which from eternity God has assigned for you to suffer.

"You will either fulfill what God wants, or you will suffer what you do not want." Saint Augustine.

If you maintain an indifferent heart and bear everything with patience, you will give God pleasure and He will fortify you with an inflow of His graces. He will give you a continual peace and calm and will make the way of the cross something easy and sweet for you. If you neglect this holy indifference and bear troubles impatiently, you will displease God and He will deny you all His strengthening, supporting help and every kind of peace and consolation, letting you fall under the weight of your cross.

If tis very certain that for all eternity you will lose that high degree of glory unless you adopt the means God has appointed. If your heart is not indifferent and you do not use such means, adopting them willingly, you will weary yourself in vain and will lost your last End. It is certain that you are in danger of not gaining your eternal salvation, not even a lower grade of glory.

A soul that has not this holy indifference, falls out of (moral) necessity into many grave temptations. In such circumstances, who is not drawn downward by anger, by resentment, by faintheartedness and melancholy, by pride and fear of contempt? And who is not moved by impulsiveness and self-will, b interior upsets and disorder, and by the rebellion of uncontrolled passions?

Ah, to overcome these problems requires a particular help of God. Now will He give it to a soul unwilling to submit to His plans, to a soul who, full of anger, rejects the means which God has provided, a soul unwilling to serve except in its own way, unwilling to acknowledge Him as Master and Lord, and who insolently resists God's designs? Let a man place his hopes in the One Whom he can trust, for the struggle is quite dangerous. (Saint Anthony Mary Claret, The Golden Key to Heaven, Immaculate Heart Publications, pp. 36-39.)


In other words, God has known from all eternity that we would be living in this time of apostasy and betrayal.

Each of us is a sinner. We must suffer for our sins. There is no escape from this suffering, and living in this particular time of apostasy and betrayal is part of the plan in the economy of God's salvation to effect effect our own salvation as we suffer and suffer well for our sins and those of the whole world. The graces won for us by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the wood of the Holy Cross that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces, are sufficient this moment. They are sufficient for every moment and every need. Why do we worry so?

Each of us has an obligation to do our own duty before God by making reparation for our own many sins that have worsened the state of the Church Militant on earth and of the world-at-large in many ways that we may understand fully only in eternity. We must live more and more penitentially as the consecrated slaves of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, praying as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits, especially during this month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  

This era of apostasy and betrayal will pass. The true sensus Catholicus will be restored. Catholics will once again have a true sense of the horror of personal sin and they will seek voluntarily to make reparation for their own sins and those of the whole world as the slaves of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Men and their nations will submit themselves to the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by Holy Mother Church.

Yes, there will be the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary when her Fatima Message is fulfilled. We may not live to see this with our own eyes. Moses was given a glimpse of the Promised Land, but died before entering there. The Apostles and the martyrs of the first centuries of Holy Mother Church did not live to see the glory of Christendom that resulted from their fidelity and their sacrifices. We must not look for "results" in our own lifetimes. We must simply try to be faithful to the true Church without making any entering into the traps of the old conciliar fowler's lair, making no concessions at all to a false church and its false shepherds and their overconcern with their own "reputations" and privileges that are as delusional as the John John study.
