Not Going Down With The Conciliar Ship

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Former President Richard Milhous Nixon had his defenders right up to the moment that he resigned the presidency on Thursday, August 8, 1974, and then left the White House the next day, Friday, August 9, 1974. Some continued to defend him right up to the point of his death on Friday, April 22, 1994. (For a brief review of the Nixon years, please see Poster Boys Of Modernity and Foggy Bottom's Bloody Tradition).

Former President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton had his defenders even after he surrendered his law license on January 19, 2001, after admitting to Independent Counsel Robert Ray that he had made he had given "misleading" answers while being questioned about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky in a deposition conducted by lawyers for Paula Corbin Jones on Saturday, January 17, 1998 (see BILL AND FEDS CUT A DEAL Surrenders law license to escape indictment; for a brief list of the major Clinton-era lies, see A System Based on Lies Produces Liars).

Former President George Walker Bush still has his defenders even after the "global war on terror" that he unleashed in the aftermath of the attacks that took place on American soil on September 11, 2001, that has cost American taxpayers close to one trillion dollars as over five thousand Americans have given up their lives (with thousands more wounded, some maimed for life as many families of service personnel have been racked with divorce caused by the long periods of separation of spouses serving in these two war theaters) and as various bands of Mohammedans have been placed in power, willing to the bidding of their American paymasters as long as the payments keep rolling in on a regular basis. (For just one of many reviews of the "pro-life" "Bush 43" administration, see We Don't Want to Learn Anything.)

Former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer and his successor, Governor David Paterson, each has their defenders despite the scandals in which they have plunged themselves. Paterson's pattern of lying and deception has been such that five top aides have resigned in recent months because they do no longer abide his lying to their faces directly. Paterson still has defenders (see Little Caesars All (Pizza! Pizza!)).

President Barack Hussein Obama has his defenders at the present moment who spin for him constantly.

Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, our currently reigning false "pontiff," has his own set of defenders and enablers who must engage in acts of willful blindness or rank intellectual dishonesty to claim that his mind has been untouched by any Modernist thought at all and/or that he was in the "vanguard" of ridding his counterfeit church of conciliarism of corrupt "bishops" and priests/presbyters. Ratzinger/Benedict has had his clumsy spin-doctor, Father Federico Lombardi, have had to tell one whopper after another to reinvent himself as a man who did not know the scope of the worldwide infestation of the conciliar structures with perverted "prelates" and clergy, and one who did everything he could to "clean up the mess" in his false church after he became the successor of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II on April 19, 2005.

This is not the first time that Ratzinger/Benedict has attempted to throw people like his good friend Monsignor Gerhard Gruber, who was picked to take the "fall" for Ratzinger's having approved the reassignment of a perverted priest from the Diocese of Essen to a parish in his own Archdiocese of Munich in 1980 (see "Fall Guys" Aren't Usually "Stand-Up Guys"), under the bus by having his representatives make claims that simply are not in accord with objective reality (meaning, of course, that those claims are patently false). Dario "Cardinal" Castrillon Hoyos, the conciliar prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy from February 23, 1998, to October 31, 2006, and the president of "Pontifical" Commission Ecclesia Dei from April 14, 2000, to July 8, 2009, has been thrown under the bus twice now by the false "pontiff," and the Colombian-born Castrillon Hoyos has decided, evidently, that he is not going to go down for the count yet a second time.

Actually, you see, "Cardinal" Castrillon Hoyos did not go down quietly the first time he was thrown under the bus by Father Federico Lombardi, S.J., when the blame was laid on his shoulders as the president of Ecclesia Dei for not knowing about Bishop Richard Williamson's views about the nature and extent of the crimes committed against the Jews by agents of Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime, the so-called Third Reich, during World War II. "Cardinal" Hoyos fought back that time, at the beginning of 2009 following the airing of Bishop Williamson's now infamous interview that was broadcast on Swedish television on the very day that the decree "lifting" the "excommunications" of the four bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X had been signed by Ratzinger/Benedict, as he is fighting back now:

After being presented as the guilty party by others, Castrillon Hoyos took his turn to point the finger — at Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, the head of the Congregation of Bishops: “If anyone should have known about Williamson’s statements, he was the one. He was working for many years in the Secretariat of State. And now he runs the Congregation of Bishops, which has the task over watching over the bishops.”

The question of who knew what and when in the Vatican has never been fully answered and the broadside from Castrillon Hoyos did not shed much light. The Vatican press office has several times asserted that Pope Benedict did not know anything about Williamson’s denial of the Holocaust when the excommunications were lifted. “Affirming or even insinuating that the Pope was informed beforehand of Williamson’s position is absolutely groundless,” chief Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said on Wednesday when before the follow-up program that Swedish television was about to air.

According to Vatican sources, Lombardi himself was involved in a spat with Castrillion Hoyos earlier this year. He told the French newspaper La Croix in February that if anyone in the Vatican should have known about Williamson’s background, it was Castrillon Hoyos. The cardinal was reportedly infuriated and pulled rank and some sources say he demanded an apology from Lombardi, which he got.

The Vatican’s communications disaster, both internal and external, over the Williamson affair was clear from the start. Cardinal Walter Kasper, head of the the Vatican office that oversees relations with Jews, was furious at the time of the lifting of the excommunications because he had not been informed ahead of time. Even the pope said that the Vatican had to learn how to use the internet. After the Williamson affair many journalists noted that his positions on the Holocaust and Jews were out there for all to see for some time. (Unusual tit-for-tat in the Vatican over Williamson affair)

Whether or not Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict knew about Bishop Williamson's views on the the crimes of the agents of the Third Reich is something that will not be revealed, I suppose, until the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. The fact of Bishop Williamson's position was hardly a state-secret. I knew about them in my "conservative" days back in the 1980s. Whether Ratzinger/Benedict knew about this, however, is something that is impossible to know. What is known is that the false "pontiff," eager to curry favor with those who are the ancient enemies of Christ the King, was very quick to state that he had no knowledge of Bishop Williamson's views, going to extraordinary lengths to apologize for them, starting a feeding frenzy on the now-silenced Williamson that included his own Superior-General, Bishop Bernard Fellay, to say nothing of the reprobate Roger "Cardinal" Mahony, who gratuitously banned Williamson from appearing in any parish or school or church facility in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles even though the bishop had not been planning any visit there in the foreseeable future (see Yes, Sir, Master Scribe).

Ratzinger/Benedict apologized for Williamson's views, authorizing his Secretary of State, Tarcisio "Cardinal" Bertone, to issue a statement that Williamson could not be able to function as a bishop within the conciliar church until and unless he renounced his views on the crimes of the Third Reich against the Jews:

The positions of Bishop Williamson with regard to the Shoah are absolutely unacceptable and firmly rejected by the Holy Father, as he himself remarked on 28 January 2009 when, with reference to the heinous genocide, he reiterated his full and unquestionable solidarity with our brothers and sisters who received the First Covenant, and he affirmed that the memory of that terrible genocide must lead "humanity to reflect upon the unfathomable power of evil when it conquers the heart of man", adding that the Shoah remains "a warning for all against forgetfulness, denial or reductionism, because violence committed against one single human being is violence against all".

In order to be admitted to function as a Bishop within the Church, Bishop Williamson must also distance himself in an absolutely unequivocal and public way from his positions regarding the Shoah, which were unknown to the Holy Father at the time of the remission of the excommunication.

The Holy Father asks for the prayerful support of all the faithful, so that the Lord will enlighten the Church’s path. May the commitment of the Pastors and all the faithful grow in support of the difficult and onerous mission of the Successor of Peter the Apostle, who "watches over the unity" of the Church. (Note from the Secretary of State concerning the four Prelates of the Society of Saint Pius X (February 4, 2009)

An unforeseen mishap for me was the fact that the Williamson case came on top of the remission of the excommunication. The discreet gesture of mercy towards four Bishops ordained validly but not legitimately suddenly appeared as something completely different: as the repudiation of reconciliation between Christians and Jews, and thus as the reversal of what the Council had laid down in this regard to guide the Church’s path. A gesture of reconciliation with an ecclesial group engaged in a process of separation thus turned into its very antithesis: an apparent step backwards with regard to all the steps of reconciliation between Christians and Jews taken since the Council – steps which my own work as a theologian had sought from the beginning to take part in and support. That this overlapping of two opposed processes took place and momentarily upset peace between Christians and Jews, as well as peace within the Church, is something which I can only deeply deplore. I have been told that consulting the information available on the internet would have made it possible to perceive the problem early on. I have learned the lesson that in the future in the Holy See we will have to pay greater attention to that source of news. I was saddened by the fact that even Catholics who, after all, might have had a better knowledge of the situation, thought they had to attack me with open hostility. Precisely for this reason I thank all the more our Jewish friends, who quickly helped to clear up the misunderstanding and to restore the atmosphere of friendship and trust which – as in the days of Pope John Paul II – has also existed throughout my pontificate and, thank God, continues to exist.  (Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church concerning the remission of the excommunication of the four Bishops consecrated by Archbishop Lefebvre.)

Yes, of course, this is the same Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI who has yet to issue any kind of apology (contrary to most of us who have to eat humble pie when we realize that we have made a bonehead mistake for which we are accountable to God Himself) for any of the offenses he has given to God by calling places of false worship as "sacred" and by praising the nonexistent ability of false religions to "contribute" to the "betterment" of the world. Ratzinger/Benedict has also, of course, refused to make any statement apologizing for "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch's denial, made on April 11, 2009 (Holy Saturday), that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for our sins. Ratzinger/Benedict has yet to issue any public statement demanding that Zollitsch retract his heresy in order for him to function as a "bishop" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Although "Cardinal" Hoyos got his own apology for being thrown under the conciliar bus by Federico Lombardi over the Williamson matter last year, he was forced to the "walk the plank" as he was "retired" from the presidency of the Ecclesia Dei commission.

As was seen last month, a letter that Hoyos wrote in 2001 to a French "bishop," Pierre Pican, commending him for not handing over a perverted priest to the civil authorities generated quite a lot of press (see Dario Castrillon Hoyos, Meet Pope Saint Pius V). Many defenders of all things Benedict chimed in by saying that this revelation was "proof" that the "pontiff" was correct to institute a "reform" of the way in which cases involving perverted clergymen were handled by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith that he headed at the time. It is no such proof. Dario "Cardinal" Castrillon Hoyos is not going gently into that good night of retirement:

CARDINAL DARÍO Castrillón Hoyos has claimed that Pope Benedict XVI, as cardinal prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), was involved in a 2001 decision to praise a French bishop for protecting a priest convicted of raping a boy and sexually assaulting 10 others.

According to the Associated Press, Cardinal Castrillón told Colombia’s RCN radio on 22 April that the decision to send a congratulatory letter to Bishop Pierre Pican of Bayeux-Lisieux was the product of a high-level meeting that included the then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger.

“It was a meeting of cardinals,” he said. “Therefore the current Pope [Benedict XVI], who at the time was a cardinal, was present. The Pope [John Paul II] was never at those meetings. However, the Holy Father was indeed present when we spoke about this matter in the council, and the cardinals ruled,” Cardinal Castrillón reportedly said
.

It is the second time that the Colombian-born cardinal who was Prefect for the Congregation for Clergy in 2001 has claimed that Pope John Paul authorised his letter to Bishop Pican but the first time that he has attempted to implicate the former Cardinal Ratzinger in the controversial decision. Cardinal Ratzinger’s attendance at such a meeting would be normal. He and Cardinal Castrillón would have met regularly at the time as fellow members of several Vatican congregations.

The Vatican have continued to refute any claims that Pope Benedict was complicit in cover-ups, insisting that he has done more than anyone else in the Church to deal openly and swiftly with sexual abuse by priests. Soon after the Castrillón letter surfaced the Vatican spokesman, Fr Federico Lombardi, produced a statement suggesting that the letter confirmed the wisdom of the decision to give Cardinal Ratzinger’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith exclusive responsibility for investigating clerical abuse cases in 2001.

“This document is another confirmation of how timely was the unification of the treatment of cases of sexual abuse of minors on the part of members of the clergy under the competence of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,” said the statement.

On Saturday Cardinal Castrillón was due to celebrate the old rite Mass held at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, but was replaced days ahead of the event as news emerged of the letter he had sent to Bishop Pican. Bishop Edward Slattery, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who is familiar with the ritual, filled in at the last minute as celebrant.

Another prelate to be tarnished by the abuse scandal is Roger Vangheluwe, 73, who stunned Belgium on 23 April by resigning for sexually abusing a young male nephew “before and a little bit after” he became Bishop of Bruges in 1984.

Meanwhile, Bishop Anders Arborelius of Stockholm said he is prepared to resign over the Church’s failure to investigate abuse allegations made in 1990. One of the alleged victims claimed the Church failed to take her allegations seriously for the past two decades despite meeting with Bishop Arborelius in 2003 and having previously contacted the previous bishop, Hubertus Brandenburg, and another senior figure in Sweden’s Catholic Church.

The crisis threatens to reach catastrophic proportions. A staggering 6.25 million German Catholics, that is a quarter of the German Church, are expected to leave the Church this year because of the scandal, according to a poll in the [ITAL]Frankfurter Rundschau[UNITAL] daily. This will cost the Church millions of euros as people leaving opt out of paying church tax (8 per cent of income tax). In Austria 30,000 Catholics have already left the Church this year, compared to 21,000 by this time last year – which was a record year.

The Pope on Sunday thanked all those who are “dedicated to the prevention” of “violence, abuse and indifference” against children. Paying tribute to a Sicilian child-protection charity, Meter, he thanked “parents, teachers and many priests, sisters and catechists”. (The Tablet - Beleaguered Castrillón implicates Pope; see also Hoyos Points to a Skeleton in Benedict's Closet.)

Behold the rotten fruit of conciliarism. The conciliar ship is sinking almost as fast as that unstoppable oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is spreading at a rapid rate (no relationship, of course, to the increased cost of gasoline in the last few weeks; it is in God's Holy Providence that we are off the road at last). It is really something to behold, something that is almost without any precedent in the history of the Catholic Church, for a member of what purports to be the college of cardinals implicating the man he believes to be a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter, the very Vicar of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on earth, in knowledge of a policy that his spokesman has said he did not possess. Federico Lombardi's credibility, which was never that high to begin with, has been torn to shreds in recent weeks by the lies that he has spun to cover for Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.

"Cardinal" Hoyos, much like Monsignor Gerhard Gruber, is unwilling to go down with the conciliar ship, being willing to throw Ratzinger/Benedict (and everyone else who gets in his way) overboard in order to set the public record straight, namely, that everyone in the Vatican knew how the cases of perverted "bishops" and clergymen were being handled. For officials in the conciliar Vatican at present to revise this history is galling to those were present and know the facts are different than the assertions being made by "papal" defenders. And this is to say nothing of how these lies and misrepresentations offend God, especially when so many Catholics, looking for excuses to quit the practice of the Holy Faith, are willing to leave what they think is the Catholic Church to protest the insults to their intelligence that make political spin-doctors seem like rank amateurs by way of comparison.

Then again, what's the welfare of souls to men who are concerned first and foremost with their own reputations in this passing, mortal vale of tears? What's the welfare of souls to men who have defected from the Catholic Faith in numerous ways, men who offend God with own their false worship service, the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, and the esteem that they pay to false religions and to false places of worship? There has been such a loss of the sensus Catholicus amongst the spin-doctors in the conciliar Vatican that they have utterly no clue that all of their lies and misrepresentations are going to be exposed for all to see at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead on the Last Day.

Ratzinger/Benedict is still trying to find the "right tone" to respond to the crisis of perverted clergy in his conciliar church that he has known about for years. As noted a few weeks ago, the Vatican, both in the days prior to the conciliar takeover and thereafter, gossip about clerical matters, especially those pertaining to even the slightest whiff of scandal, is the subject of much talk inside the corridors of the Vatican and in the various bistros in the Borgo Pio area outside of the Vatican walls where many top Vatican officials dine on bowls full of pasta and bottles of vino practically every during their extended three hour lunch break. Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger knew full well what was happening and whose bodies (or skeletons) were buried where. It is the height of intellectual dishonesty for Ratzinger/Benedict to claim now, as he did on his flight from Rome to Portugal this very morning, that the "Church has a profound need to relearn penance" (Benedict Issues Strongest Words to Date on Abuse) as the Catholic Church, the Mystical Bride of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, has never forgotten about penance.

The counterfeit church of conciliarism has diminished the importance of external acts of penance. Don't believe me? All right, I make some mistakes now and again. However, I own up to them and am ashamed of them. The "batting average" is, however, pretty decent, and the following passage from the General Instruction to the Roman Missal is just one of the many documentary proofs that the lords of conciliarism have given us that external acts of penance belong to another age in the history of the Church:

The same awareness of the present state of the world also influenced the use of texts from very ancient tradition. It seemed that this cherished treasure would not be harmed if some phrases were changed so that the style of language would be more in accord with the language of modern theology and would faithfully reflect the actual state of the Church's discipline. Thus there have been changes of some expressions bearing on the evaluation and use of the good things of the earth and of allusions to a particular form of outward penance belonging to another age in the history of the Church. (Paragraph Fifteen, General Instruction to the Roman Missal, 1997.)

No one in the Catholic Church wrote this. Members of her counterfeit ape wrote this. And it is the head of that counterfeit church who dares to discuss the need for the Catholic Church to "relearn" penance when she has never preaching it, admitting that her children need always to be reminded about and to take up with renewed fervor and devotion acts of penance and a real, sincere desire to live more penitentially with every beat of their hearts, consecrated as they must be to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict can travel to Fatima to continue his deconstruction of Our Lady's Fatima Message all that we wants to as he seeks to find the best public face to put on scandals that his own decisions helped to worsen over the years. No public face can change his multiple defections from the Catholic Faith or that the church he heads is not the Catholic Church.

Furthermore, of course, Ratzinger/Benedict is blind to his own gross sins against the very nature of God by denying the nature of His dogmatic truth as defined by the authority of the Catholic Church.

Ratzinger/Benedict is blind to his own gross sins against the honor and majesty and glory of God by esteeming the symbols of false religions and calling false places of worship "sacred."

Ratzinger/Benedict is blind to his own gross sins of participating in "inter-religious" prayer services that are violation of the First and Second Commandments and the entire teaching of the Catholic Church.

Ratzinger/Benedict is blind to his own gross sins of hailing such things as "religious liberty" and "separation of Church and State" that have been condemned by true pope after true pope prior to 1958.

If Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI wants to talk about penance as he deconstructs Our Lady's Fatima Message this week whilst in Portugal, perhaps he ought to look at himself in the mirror as his sins against God and thus against souls are gross and have reaffirmed Catholics and non-Catholics alike in all manner of falsehoods and errors.

There is still ash spewing forth from the volcano underneath the Eyjafjallajokull glacier. Airports continue to be closed in parts of Europe and many flights to and from Europe across the Atlantic are being re-routed. That aforementioned oil spill is seemingly unstoppable, and very few policy-makers seemed very alarmed about the possibility of the damage spreading outside of the Gulf of Mexico. All of that ash and all of that oil, however, does not compare in the slightest to the damage that has been done to souls by the "popes" and the "bishops" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

We must remember, therefore, that this is the moment that God has known from all eternity we would be alive. We are living through a chastisement of epic proportions. We deserve this chastisement. We must embrace it, giving back to the Most Blessed Trinity through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary whatever merit we might gain from the patient endurance of the crosses of our times.

Our Lady wants us to sanctify and to save our souls as members of the Catholic Church. She wants us to trust in her loving maternal care. She wants us to cooperate with the graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of her Divine Son's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow through her loving hands as the Mediatrix of All Graces to want to pray more, to suffer more, and to sacrifice more and more for the cause of the restoration of the Church Militant here on earth as part of the glorious fruit of the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. Do we not have enough love and tenderness in our poor, pitiable hearts to say more Rosaries each day, especially during this month of May, her own very month?

We beg Our Lady each day in the Ave Maria to pray for us "now and at the hour of our death." May we beg her especially hard in this month of May to pray for us as we seek to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world that have plunged parts of the air and sea into an abyss of darkness.

Isn't it time to pray a Rosary?

Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Saint Joseph, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.

Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.

Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
