With The Passage of Time
by
Thomas A. Droleskey
The passage of time can mellow some. It can embitter others. As Catholics, of course, we are supposed to recognize that each moment we are alive is a precious gift from God to be used in His holy, devoted and faithful servant as the humble clients of His Most Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart. Catholics are grateful to God for keeping us alive as long as he has, understanding that every moment we are live is an opportunity to grow in holiness and to accept our daily crosses with joy--yes, true joy!--as we seek to make reparation for our sins to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary in a spirit of prayer and penance.
We are supposed to change with the passage of time. We are supposed to grow to accept humiliations with gratitude to God for having sent them to us so that our overweening pride may be crushed and beaten out of us once and for all. So many people spend so much time seeking to avoid humiliation that they become almost totally amoral in trying to discredit those who have merely spoken the truth about them, thinking nothing of lying, even publicly if necessary, about their accusers and claiming that they are the ones who are in the wrong, not them. These people are heedless of the simple truth that all of their machinations, all of their distortions, all of their misrepresentations, all of their needless efforts to avoid being humiliated for things that they know they have done will be revealed for one and all to see on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. What's a little humiliation now in the face of so strict an accounting to be rendered to Christ the King before all men on that Last Day?
Yes, Christ the King gives us length of days in large measure so that we can learn how to be humbled in the sight of the Most Blessed Trinity as we recognize that there is nothing that can happen to us in this passing, mortal vale of tears that is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our King to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death. Nothing anyone can say about us, whether to our face or behind our backs or openly in the public forum, can even come close to approximating the horrors that our seemingly "smallest" Venial Sins caused Our Lord to suffer during His Passion and Death and how they caused those Seven Swords of Sorrow to be plunged through and through into the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother. God is very merciful to us, folks. He never permits us to suffer as our sins truly deserve. He sends us grace upon grace beyond measure through the hands of His Most Blessed Mother. How can any of us complain about anything that happens to us at any time?
Let me quote yet once from the following passages in the late Father Edward Leen's In The Likeness of Christ:
In other words, it is the law of things as they actually are that we must continually suffer from others; it is the condition of our being that we shall be the victims of others' abuse of their free wills; it belongs to our position that our desires and inclinations should be continually thwarted and that we should be at the mercy of circumstances. And it is our duty to bear that without resentment and without rebellion. To rebel is to assert practically that such things are not our due, that they do not belong to our position. It is to refuse to recognize that we are fallen members of a fallen race. The moment we feel resentment at anything painful that happens to us through the activity of men or things, at that moment we are resentful against God's Providence.
We are in this really protesting against His eternal determination to create free beings; for these sufferings which we endure are a consequence of the carrying into effect of that free determination. If we expect or look for a mode of existence in which we shall not endure harshness, unkindness, misunderstanding, and injustice, we are actually rebelling against God's Providence, we are claiming a position that does not belong to us as creatures. This is to sin against humility. It is pride. (Father Edward Leen, In The Likeness of Christ, Sheed and Ward, 1936, pp, 182-183; I would ask also that those who are new to this site to read Understood By God Alone.)
We see naturalists in public life refuse to accept the humiliations that come their way because of their misdeeds. Everyone else but them is responsible for their own lies and moral crimes, and they are unabashed in telling public lies to protect themselves against those lies and misdeed.
Does the name William Jefferson Blythe Clinton mean anything to you in this regard? How about the name of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who lied about coming under "fire" in Tuzla, Bosnia, in 1996 when she was the First Lady of the United States of America? (See A System Based on Lies Produces Liars.)
Does the name David Paterson, Governor of the State of New York, mean anything to you? (See Little Caesars All (Pizza! Pizza!).)
Does the name Richard Blumenthal, who has said in various speeches in numerous locales throughout the State of Connecticut that he had "served in Vietnam" when the truth is that he had served as a Marine sergeant in the reserves for a brief time, as The New York Times reported on Monday, May 16, 2010?
Some naturalists just dig in their heels and hunker down in order to withstand what they think is a "bad news cycle," never realizing that the passage of time that is supposed to humble them in the eyes of the true God of Divine Revelation will not erase their lies and Machiavellian machinations from the Book of Life from which they will be judged by Christ the King when they face their Particular Judgments.
It is truly amazing, therefore, to watch the spectacle of an elderly man, an octogenarian, no less, refuse to accept the humiliations he is enduring at the moment for his own public and very blatant offenses he has given to the honor and majesty and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity by personally esteeming the symbols of false religions with his own priestly hands, by entering into and then praising places of false worship as "sacred," by praising the nonexistent "ability" of false religions to "contribute" to the building of the "better" world, by daring to deny the nature of dogmatic truth, by promoting propositions such as religious liberty and separation of Church and State that have been condemned by the authority of the Catholic Church repeatedly and without interruption until the dawning of the age of conciliarism on October 28, 1958. This elderly man, born into the world on April 20, 1927 as Joseph Ratzinger and known to most people today as "Pope" Benedict XVI, has tried every cowardly deceit imaginable in order to avoid any blame whatsoever for the explosion of scandals involved perverted "bishops" and priests/presbyters in his counterfeit church of conciliarism.
Perhaps the most shameless, at least thus far, of Ratzinger/Benedict's efforts to accept the humiliations that he deserves so justly for his many public crimes against the honor and glory and majesty of the Most Blessed Trinity and against the very Deposit of Faith that he is supposed to be protecting in his capacity of what he believes himself to be as a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter is the effort made to throw Monsignor Gerhard Gruber "under the bus" (see
"Fall Guys" Aren't Usually "Stand-Up Guys"). Monsignor Gruber has been stricken by pangs of conscience for permitting himself to be charged with full responsibility for the reassignment of a known predator priest, Father Peter Hullermann of the Diocese of Essen, Germany, to a parish in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising in 1980 when the conciliar ordinary there was none other than Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger.
Dario Castrillon "Cardinal" Hoyos was also thrown "under the bus" after it was revealed that he had written a letter in 2001 to a French "bishop," Pierre Pican, in the conciliar structures to commend him for not turning over a perverted presbyter to the civil authorities for prosecution. "Cardinal" Hoyos was said to have acted alone. There was a just a little problem with this. It wasn't true. (See To A Dead End on the Wrong Path.)
What does this matter to the false "pontiff"? He has his "work" and his "reputation" to protect. Too bad for Monsignor Gerhard Gruber. Too bad for "Cardinal" Hoyos. Too bad for truth.
Truth is also taking a hit in a courtroom of United States District Court in Kentucky, where attorneys for the conciliar Vatican are taking a page out of the absurd legal "playbook" of the former conciliar "Bishop" of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the former conciliar "Archbishop" of New York, Edward "Cardinal" Egan, who tried to argue in the 1990s at a time he was conciliar ordinary in Bridgeport that the diocese could not be required to pay monetary damages to victims of perverted priests as they, the priests, are employees of the parishes for which they work, not employees of the diocese. As I wrote in The Wanderer at the time when this legal "strategy" was announced, while it is certainly true that most priests are paid by their parishes and not by their dioceses, there is the nasty, inconvenient little fact that it is a diocesan ordinary who does just happen to assign priests to their parishes, and who can reassign them by a simple episcopal fiat.
It is worse than laughable for attorneys for the conciliar Vatican to assert that a pope has no authority over his bishops because he does not supervise them on a daily basis and does not pay the bishops, meaning that they are not "employees" of his (see Vatican Abuse Defense: Bishops Don't Work for Us). This, I suppose, means that each of the conciliar "bishops" who are in full communion with "Pope" Benedict XVI have the same legal status with the conciliar Vatican as do our true bishops in the Catholic catacombs at this time: each of them is an "independent contractor." Perhaps our true bishops ought to show up at the next meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic "Bishops" and demand their rightful place at the table as they are "independent contractors" who are not paid by the "pope."
Yes, I realize that a very strong legal argument can be made that the Vatican itself is immune from such lawsuits because of the legal and diplomatic status of the Holy See and of the man who is considered to be the "pope" as the sovereign head of the State of Vatican City. That's not what concerns me in this commentary, which focuses on the efforts that the "pope's" defenders, both in the Vatican and in the Kentucky courtroom, are going to avoid admitting the plain truths about this tragic matter that were written thirty-nine days ago now in
More Than A Matter of Legality:
To, wit, the infestation of men sympathetic to or involved perversity in the conciliar hierarchy and presbyterate in the United States of America began to explode during the ten years, 1970 to 1980, that Archbishop Jean Jadot served as Paul VI's "Apostolic Delegate" in the United States of America. Jadot almost single-handedly filled the conciliar hierarchy with effeminate clerics who were squishy-soft on most major moral issues, to say nothing, of course, of their total support for the liturgical and doctrinal revolutions of conciliarism. The conciliar church in the United States of America is still reaping the rotten fruit of the Jadot appointments as the men who were elevated to the conciliar "episcopate" created a whole generation of "successors," at least in some regions of the nation, who have sustained themselves ever since.
The crisis facing the conciliar Vatican is far more than a matter of legality and administrative due process, meaning not in the slightest to denigrate the importance of providing fair and just procedures to those accused of moral offenses. There does come a time, however, when simple Catholic common sense has to prevail as one recognizes that the scope of the crimes that have been committed by the conciliar clergy is no accident. It is the result of the recruitment, retention and promotion of moral derelicts into the conciliar presbyterate and "episcopate"--and the concomitant refusal on the part of those in the conciliar Vatican to recognize this fact and to admit it openly.
A counterfeit church whose "popes" can offend God regularly by praising false religions and entering into places of false worship is going to be characterized by one problem after another. No amount of letters sent to the local chancery office or to conciliar officials in the Vatican are going to "solve" problems that have their proximate root cause in defections from the Catholic Faith. One can no sooner "work from within" to "solve" problems in the false church of conciliarism than one can do so by "working from within" to "solve" the problems in any other false church, such as the Anglican sect. Falsehoods must lead to decay over the course of time.
This is what we are witnessing at present in the counterfeit church of conciliarism as a worldwide apostasy, carried as in a pandemic by the ethos of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, has robbed men who think that they are "popes" and "bishops" of any capacity to think and to act as Catholics who are concerned first and foremost about the honor and glory and majesty of the Most Blessed Trinity and of the eternal good of the souls for whom Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem. There is no redeeming anything about the counterfeit church of conciliarism. It is beyond redemption as it is the work of the adversary and his minions in this world from start to finish.
Think that I, who did some reporting on these matters for The Wanderer back in the 1990s and who did have some first-hand experience in witnessing the realities of life in two different seminaries and while working in a diocesan chancery office in the 1980s, am engaged in hyperbole? Just consider the evidence provided by a true priest of the Archdiocese of Cali, Colombia, Father German Robledo:
As Father Germán Robledo, former head of the archdiocesan ecclesiastical tribunal, wrote that the third largest diocese of Colombia is rife with active and uncorrected homosexuals and heterosexual priests who prey upon young people, have fathered children and used parish funds to pay off the extortion demands of their boy-lovers and the fees for procurers.
The priest has kept his writings in absolute secrecy until they were published, calling it a "bomb" for the clergy of Cali.
Fr. Robledo, a priest for 45 years who served on the tribunal for 23 years, said that since he first presented his allegations and evidence of sexual and financial misconduct by priests in the archdiocese, the problems have increased "due to the lack of control and vigilance". He indicated that the Archbishop has done nothing to stop the misconduct of his priests.
The book, titled, ¿Hacia un celo gay? (Towards a Gay Clergy) is intended, Fr. Robledo said, to "denounce a tendency which is presenting itself within the Catholic Church".
"In the past 30 years," he said, "the Church has leaned towards priests with profiles with effeminate traces, sweet, obedient, submissive, uncritical, and who always accept the authoritarian role of the bishop and of the other superiors." He asserts that 30 per cent of the archdiocese's priests are homosexuals.
He denied that the Catholic discipline of priestly celibacy is the problem, saying that the priest's life gives opportunities to predatory homosexual pedophiles to "lead a double life".
"It is the refuge of those who do not dare face their families. The Catholic Church is the closet of gays."
According to statistics of 2006, the archdiocese of Santiago de Cali, Colombia's third largest city, serves 2.2 million Catholics out of a total population of 2.6 million.
In 2007, Fr. Robledo, formerly head of the ecclesiastical tribunal for the archdiocese of Cali, made public evidence, including videos, of sexual and financial misconduct among many of the archdiocese's clergy. Among his allegations were that several priests were conducting ongoing sexual relationships, including with women and young boys. Some priests have secretly fathered children and in two cases have been sued by the mothers for child support.
In a letter to Archbishop Sarasti, made public in the newspapers, Fr. Robledo spoke of "chronic and shameful homosexual conducts of friends and close collaborators" of the archdiocese. In a radio interview, Father Robledo said that Archbishop Sarasti responded to the charges by saying that such acts belong to the priests' private lives. (The Catholic Church Is The Closet Of Gays - Insidecostarica.com)
Private lives? Men who are supposedly calling down Christ the King on their community banquet tables in what purports to be the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass can have "private lives" that are none of the business of other priests or the lay faithful who are rightly scandalized by their disgusting behavior, which includes not only overt acts but the public flaunting of inappropriate relationships without regard for the scandal caused thereby? Indeed, why should perverted priests/presbyters fear any temporal consequences for their actions when Ratzinger/Benedict himself is saying that the scandals they have engendered represent nothing but "weeds" in his false church and when they know that their conciliar "bishops" won't do anything to them. The belief expressed by "Archbishop" Sarasti in Cali, Colombia, that the misdeeds of his "priests" "belong" to their "private lives" is indicative of a fundamental loss of the sensus Catholicus. What about the immortal souls of the men who believe themselves to be entrusted to serve Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the Holy Priesthood? Who cares about the eternal welfare and salvation fo their immortal souls?
The passage of time, far, far from imparting wisdom and a love of truth and a desire to suffer humiliations for offenses committed, has stiffened the necks of the lords of conciliarism, who perhaps have been advised by one of the public relations agents that they have hired in the past year or so so "tough it out" the way that our lords of naturalism (Clinton and Clinton, Paterson, Blumenthal, et al.) do with a remarkable degree of success. It certainly appears as though the lords of conciliarism believe that they can "tough it out" and make one preposterous claim after another to avoid legal accountability for their planned, deliberate and well-orchestrated recruitment of men inclined to commit perverse acts into the ranks of their clergy, seeking also to personally and legally browbeat whistle-blower priest/presbyters and victims into remaining silent in order to further protect themselves, the conciliar officials, from facing consequences in this life for their flagrant dereliction of their duties as men who believe themselves to be officials of the Catholic Church.
As has been noted on this site repeatedly, why should the lords of conciliarism care about the moral crimes of their clergy when they commit crimes against the Faith every day of lives, starting with how those in the Latin Rite of the conciliar church offend God by offering the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service? It is not only the now infamous "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch who has been indemnified by "Pope" Benedict XVI after making statements contrary to the Catholic Faith. Numerous are the conciliar "bishops" who have done and said things contrary to the Faith who remain in perfectly good standing with the man they believe to be the Vicar of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on earth. (See
"Canonizing" A Man Who Protected Moral Derelicts.)
There is, as ever, a great irony that the lords of conciliarism have not learned anything with the passage of time about the moral obligation they have before God Himself to correct their doctrinal errors, their liturgical abominations and their multiple acts of administrative malfeasance. These very men believe that the "passage of time" has somehow bestowed "legitimacy" on the "traditions" of the heretical sects of Protestantism, which is why Ratzinger/Benedict is permitting the "Anglo-Catholics" who have now petitioned to be received into the structures of the conciliar church are being permitted to keep their liturgical books, including the Book of Common Prayer, that were deemed heretical by Pope Saint Pius V in Regnans in Excelsis, March 5, 1570. (See
Still Defaming The English Martyrs.) The passage of time has also conferred "legitimacy" on the Orthodox in the eyes of the conciliarists to such an extent that it is forbidden for Catholics in the conciliar structures to seek to "proselytize" members of the Orthodox churches. (See United in Apostasy.) This same passage of time, however, has "de-legitimized," if you will, many of the perennial teachings of the Catholic Church in the eyes of the conciliarists, as has been discussed so often on this site, including in Truth or Consequences yesterday.
The hour is really, really late. Anyone who can't see the truth by this point and is interested in knowing the truth has to pray to God the Holy Ghost, Whose coming on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate two days from now, for being open to learn the signs of the times and not to be deceived by the conciliar robber barons who masquerade as bishops of the Catholic Church.
Great glory is being given to the Most Blessed Trinity in many places today in the Catholic catacombs. We must thank Our Lord and Our Lady every day for the fidelity of our true bishops and our true priests who have not, in full communion of behavior with the conciliarists, abused their own power to lord it over the faithful or to minimize bad behavior of subordinates, being conscious also of our obligation to seek to make reparation for our own past sins and blindness and stupidity and willful ignorance by offering up our prayers and sacrifices and humiliations to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Every Rosary we pray--and we should pray as many each day as our states-in-life permit--helps to make reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world. We must have confidence in Our Lady's intercessory power to help others as she has helped us, sinners who are no better than anyone else at all (!), to find a way out of the false church of conciliarism and into the glories of the Catholic catacombs where they can find concentrate on their own personal sanctification as the Faith is taught in all of its Holy Integrity.
May Our Lady help us to persevere as we seek to save our souls under the yoke of good shepherds who care about our salvation and not about their privileges as each of us uses the passage of time to grow in holiness and to be ready to accept whatever suffering that comes our way with the Gifts and Fruits of the her Divine Spouse, God the Holy Ghost.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex!
