Climate Change of a Permanent Nature Awaits Those Who Blaspheme the Mother of God

Modernists are notoriously two-faced, capable of saying something that sounds reasonable at one time but who say or do things on other occasions that contradict the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law. Modernists are, in other words, masters of deceit who are capable of speaking to the concerns of believing Catholics while promoting the very things about which they are concerned.

Pope Saint Pius X noted this phenomenon in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907:

18. This will appear more clearly to anybody who studies the conduct of Modernists, which is in perfect harmony with their teachings. In their writings and addresses they seem not unfrequently to advocate doctrines which are contrary one to the other, so that one would be disposed to regard their attitude as double and doubtful. But this is done deliberately and advisedly, and the reason of it is to be found in their opinion as to the mutual separation of science and faith. Thus in their books one finds some things which might well be approved by a Catholic, but on turning over the page one is confronted by other things which might well have been dictated by a rationalist. When they write history they make no mention of the divinity of Christ, but when they are in the pulpit they profess it clearly; again, when they are dealing with history they take no account of the Fathers and the Councils, but when they catechize the people, they cite them respectfully. In the same way they draw their distinctions between exegesis which is theological and pastoral and exegesis which is scientific and historical. So, too, when they treat of philosophy, history, and criticism, acting on the principle that science in no way depends upon faith, they feel no especial horror in treading in the footsteps of Luther and are wont to display a manifold contempt for Catholic doctrines, for the Holy Fathers, for the Ecumenical Councils, for the ecclesiastical magisterium; and should they be taken to task for this, they complain that they are being deprived of their liberty. Lastly, maintaining the theory that faith must be subject to science, they continuously and openly rebuke the Church on the ground that she resolutely refuses to submit and accommodate her dogmas to the opinions of philosophy; while they, on their side, having for this purpose blotted out the old theology, endeavor to introduce a new theology which shall support the aberrations of philosophers. (Pope Saint Pius X, Pascendi Dominci Gregis, September 8, 1907.)

Pope Saint Pius X’s description of the double-minded nature of Modernists applies, of course, to Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who said recently that he is “worried” about homosexuality within the conciliar clergy:

Pope Francis has said that homosexuality in the clergy is a "serious matter" that "worries" him.

The comments were made in an interview about religious vocations, given to a Spanish missionary priest as part of an upcoming book.

The pontiff described homosexuality as "fashionable",and urged clergy to observe their vow of celibacy.

Italian daily Corriere della Sera ran excerpts of the interviews on its website on Saturday.

Pope Francis said that the Church had to be "demanding" in choosing candidates for the priesthood.

"The question of homosexuality is a very serious one," said the pontiff, adding that those responsible for training priests must make sure candidates are "humanly and emotionally mature" before they are ordained.

"For this reason, the Church urges that persons with this rooted tendency not be accepted into ministry or consecrated life."

This also applied to women who wanted to become nuns.

The comments made by the pontiff reiterate past Vatican statements about the selection of candidates for religious life.

"In our societies, it even seems homosexuality is fashionable. And this mentality, in some way, also influences the life of the Church," he went on to say.

The head of the Catholic Church stressed there was "no room for this" in the lives of priests and nuns.

In 2013, Pope Francis reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church's position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not.

"If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?" he said.

"The Strength of Vocation", by Father Fernando Prado, is based on four hours of interviews with the pontiff on the challenges of being a member of the clergy. It will be published next week. (Jorge Says that he is "worried" about homosexuals in thec clergy.)

This is quite laughable as the person about whom Jorge Mario Bergoglio spoke the infamous words “Who am I to judge”? is the “priest” he personally chose to run the conciliar Vatican’s Institute of Religious Works (the Vatican Bank), “Monsignor” Battista Ricca, whose record as a serial sodomite is so notorious that even some conciliar officials were scandalized by Ricca’s appointment in July of 2013 and with his retention even though the record about his sordid and depraved life as a sodomite had been fully documented:

Questioned on L'Espresso's cover story on the prominent promotion by Pope Francis of a supposed member of the Vatican "Gay Lobby" (previous post), Fr. Federico Lombardi, Holy See spokesman, called the accusation "untrustworthy" (non attendibile). Not only that, according to journalist Matteo Matzuzzi on Twitter, Lombardi said today that, "the Pope has had the chance to verify whether the accusations against Msgr. Ricca were consistent or not," and that "Pope Francis is aware of the accusations made against Msgr. Ricca but has decided to keep him in his position".

Sandro Magister, the well-known Vaticanist and article author, and L'Espresso (institutionally) fired back:

This was the immediate reply of L'Espresso:

"To Father Lombardi, who defines as 'not trustworthy' what was published regarding Msgr. Ricca, L'Espresso replies reaffirming point by point the facts referred by Sandro Magister in his piece, confirmed by several primary sources and, as a whole, considered at the time of such gravity by the same Vatican authorities that forced them to remove the Monsignor from the Uruguay nunciature, in which he rendered his service, giving scandal to bishops, priests, religious and lay persons in that country.

"It can be added that the Vatican authorities, instead of making up improbable and ad-lib denials, could verify the trustworthiness of all that was published by L'Espresso by simply consulting the exhaustive documentation in their possession on the affair, in particular that related to his time in the Montevideo nunciature. Further documentation is available from the Uruguayan authorBities, from security forces to fire brigades. Not to mention the numerous bishops, priests, religious, laymen in Uruguay who were direct witnesses of the scandal and are ready to speak." (On "Gay Lobby", Sandro Magister challenges the Vatican: "We have the evidence".)

Additionally, of course, Bergoglio has stood by as none other than Christoph “Cardinal” Schonborn, the conciliar “archbishop” of Vienna, Austria, is reported to have “blessed” a sodomite union three months ago:

Update Sept. 19, 3:00 PM: This report now contains an additional statement (at bottom) from Schönborn's spokesman Dr. Michael Prueller.

September 19, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Austrian Cardinal Christoph Schönborn “blessed” a homosexual couple while visiting their home for lunch, a homosexual activist and personal friend of the Cardinal is claiming in a new video.

Gery Keszler, a prominent Austrian homosexual activist, described at a recent public event how Cardinal Schönborn came to visit him and his friend for lunch and how he “suddenly,” after praying grace, turned to him and his homosexual partner and “blessed” them.

"That was enormous for me,” Keszler said, adding that he was "very happy" about the Cardinal’s "blessing" of his partnership.

Keszler said he realized that this revelation is "a bit of a forced outing" of Schönborn. “But since he did it, he will likely agree that I may talk about it,” he added.

Cardinal Schönborn is now distancing himself from Keszler's claim. Schönborn's spokesman Dr. Michael Prueller told LifeSiteNews that after grace, the Cardinal asked a "blessing to the hosts."

"It is nonsense to make out of this [gesture] a precedent," said Prueller.

Gloria.tv. reported that on 4 September Gery Keszler participated at a panel discussion in Feldkirch, Austria, together with the progressive Feldkirch Bishop Benno Elbs (part one here, part two here). During that discussion, Keszler – who is the organizer of the “pro-LGBT gala” called “Life Ball” in Vienna at which Cardinal Schönborn himself has also participated – describes his friendship with the cardinal of Vienna. He once met a Mr. Köcher, “a friend of  Schönborn,” with whom he talked at some length and who then initiated a meeting between Keszler and the Cardinal. “We then had a meeting, a supper, in the family circle of the confidant of the cardinal,” he explains. “We see each other regularly.”

On one of these occasions this year, Cardinal Schönborn, together with his “confidant,” as Keszler puts it, came to visit Keszler at “my weekend home in the South Burgenland, on the Feast of Our Lady's Assumption [15 August 2018], and he came for lunch with our circle. And he then says grace, and suddenly he blesses my friend and me. That was enormous for me.” Keszler adds that he “feels very happy that he did that.”

Keszler continues, saying: “His confidant had brought a bottle of champagne, and he loosened the cork, and after this blessing, this cork bursts into the air, comes thundering down, and breaks his plate – my most expensive Meissen plate!” He adds that later, his friend and he wondered whether this was not perhaps a “thunder coming out from heaven,” or whether this meant “shards bring good fortune.” “This was no little bit of a forced outing for the cardinal,” Keszler says, “but since he has done it, he probably will also be fine with me saying it.”

Last year, on 1 December, Cardinal Schönborn had hosted at his own St. Stephen's Cathedral a prayer service for World AIDS Day. At that gathering, Conchita Wurst, an internationally known transsexual singer and homosexual activist, also came up into the sanctuary to speak some words. This event was co-hosted by Gery Keszler himself, whom the cardinal received in person at the Cathedral’s entrance for the beginning of the professedly non-denominational event. Cardinal Schönborn was then to mention Keszler during his opening speech, along with “all those who are responsible for the Life Ball,” which is an AIDS fundraiser.

When, at the beginning of 2018, Cardinal Reinhard Marx and Bishop Franz-Josef Bode had aired the idea of blessing homosexual couples, there came a strong indignation from faithful Catholic prelates. Cardinal Gerhard Müller – the former head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith – called such blessings “an atrocity.” He said in February of 2018: “If a priest blesses a homosexual couple, then this is an atrocity at a holy site, namely, to approve of something that God does not approve of.” Schönborn at the time expressed indignation over one bishop who opposed the notion of blessings for homosexual unions.

In 1992, then-Father von Schönborn, O.P. was the sub-ordinate executive secretary for the Catechism of the Catholic Church project under the overall supervision of then-Cardinal Ratzinger and Pope John Paul II. It was therefore under Cardinal Schönborn's supervision that the 1992 official version of the new Catechism of the Catholic Church was published in which there was contained an erroneous teaching about homosexuality. That version of the Catechism explicitly claimed that homosexuals “do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial.” This claim has later – in the 1997 edition of the Catechism – been removed.

As the Dutch psychologist Dr. Gerard van den Aardweg recently pointed out, there are still parts of that teaching as written down under Cardinal Schönborn's supervision, that leave some questions open. Van den Aardweg refers here to the claim that “Its [homosexuality's] psychological genesis remains largely unexplained.” “Is this meant to support the myth of biology?” the psychologist asks. He then further comments, as follows: “Really troubling are the statements on homosexuality in Nrs. 2357 and 2358 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church of 1992. They create the false impression of homosexuality as a complex, profound mystery of nature, which view is one of the trump-cards of the gay normalizers.” “Another dubious statement,” the scholar adds, “speaks of the 'not negligible number of men and women [with] profound homosexual tendencies.'”

The scholar concludes that “In truth, all non-morality statements on homosexuality must be removed from the Catechism. Like in the parable, they are weeds, sowed among the wheat of sound doctrine when some people were asleep.”

Now, in light of this Keszler report and consequent “outing” of Cardinal Schönborn, one might understand a little better some of the ambiguous flaws of the Catechism as it has been written down and promulgated under the supervision of this Austrian cardinal.

Update: After this article was published, Dr. Prueller once more contacted LifeSiteNews and asked that it be stated that there was only one blessing, which included both grace and the blessing of the host. Prueller said he contacted Mr. Keszler whom, he said, now says there was only one prayer. Prueller has not yet responded to LifeSiteNews' request as to whether Mr. Keszler now retracts his statement at the September panel discussion about the Cardinal blessing his homosexual relationship. (Schonborn Reportedly Blessed a Sodomite Partnership.)

Although it is useful to know the role played by the then Father Schonborn in the composition of the misnamed Catechism of the Catholic Church, this “catechism” was issued by a heretical “pope” and carries no magisterial authority as it represents the teaching of a false church, one that mixes truth and error. As Pope Saint Pius X noted in Pascendi Dominici Gregis:

It may, perhaps, seem to some, Venerable Brethren, that We have dealt at too great length on this exposition of the doctrines of the Modernists. But it was necessary that We should do so, both in order to meet their customary charge that We do not understand their ideas, and to show that their system does not consist in scattered and unconnected theories, but, as it were, in a closely connected whole, so that it is not possible to admit one without admitting all. For this reason, too, We have had to give to this exposition a somewhat didactic form, and not to shrink from employing certain unwonted terms which the Modernists have brought into use. And now with Our eyes fixed upon the whole system, no one will be surprised that We should define it to be the synthesis of all heresies. Undoubtedly, were anyone to attempt the task of collecting together all the errors that have been broached against the faith and to concentrate into one the sap and substance of them all, he could not succeed in doing so better than the Modernists have done. Nay, they have gone farther than this, for, as We have already intimated, their system means the destruction not of the Catholic religion alone, but of all religion. Hence the rationalists are not wanting in their applause, and the most frank and sincere among them congratulate themselves on having found in the Modernists the most valuable of all allies. (Pope Saint Pius X, Pascendi Dominci Gregis, September 8, 1907.)

In other words, pay no attention to the Catechism of the Catholic Church as I had done a quarter century ago when it was issued!

Insofar as the putative “blessing” that “Cardinal” Schonborn gave to two sodomites three months, suffice it to say that the protégé of Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has a long history of permitting “blessings” being given to those who engage in sodomite behavior. Here is just one example, one that occurred in 2007, just seven months shy of a century after Pope Saint Pius X had issued Pascendi Dominci Gregis:

The Vienna homosexual-supporting Cardinal permits his Cathedral Dean to bless homosexuals.

In the Cathedral of St Stephen in Vienna, homosexual couples are treated as lovers and are blessed as a couple. And this with the blessings of the Cardinal.

A Commentary

On Valentine’s Day, homo-couples will be blessed in St Stephens by the responsible authorities who are anything but responsible.

The event is being officially promoted as a “Blessing Mass for Lovers”. The Dean, Father Faber has expressly invited homosexuals. It remains the Dean’s secret what homo-couples share with lovers.

Father Faber or Toni, as he is known by those who wish to be overfamiliar

Father Faber stated last year that due to Church regulations, homosexuals could only be blessed individually and he maintains this, this year as well.
It is therefore appears that homosexuals are being blessed instead of being asked to repent and go to the confessional.

Dean Faber does not believe that God excludes homosexual couples or homosexually inclined people and they are therefore “not excluded”.

It is evident the Dean is engaging in a two-faced game with respect to his blessing of individual homosexuals.

This method underlies a system.

With this procedure, the Church has been managing for years to implement immoral and anti-Catholic practices.

One decides on a morally dubious act and one reassures with the assistance of verbal ambiguities that what one sees is not what one sees.

This has been done with the full knowledge and silent agreement of the competent bishops.

These practices are in contradiction to Church documents and become words for their own sake without any imperative. When nobody accuses, there is no judge.

Ambiguities are simply glossed over with the usual justifications.

The so-called shepherds look on but do not act. Anti-Catholic actions becomes habitual, then they become quasi-rules, and then the fixed norm.

Rituals for homosexual blessings. The Dean publically stated last year that he would like to have a special blessing rite for homosexual couples. This he implemented for the first time in February 2006 at the St Valentine’s Day blessing in the Cathedral.

The ceremony at which the Dean officiated and the Cardinal looked on has become an actual homosexual demonstration.

A homosexual ideologist in Church circles and who knows the Dean personally was publicly blessed together with his partner in St Stephen’s Cathedral.

“The priest puts his hands on both our shoulders and asks for God’s blessing for our relationship in good as well as in bad days.”

Dean Faber has beforehand solemnly promised not to do anything which the Holy Father would not agree with.

“We do not bless a relationship for life, we do not bless a homosexual marriage but we bless each and everyone in his longing for love”

The tactics are say one thing and do another.

The responsibility of the Cardinal

The Dean is not acting without authority. He explained to the media that this celebration has been naturally agreed to by the Vienna Cardinal.
Could he have lied?

It appears not. If he had, the Cardinal would have objected to the statement and would have spoken through his press officer to deny it.

It is also not known that the Cardinal has taken up any measures in his Cathedral, right under his nose, homosexual couples were being blessed.

On the contrary, the same spectacle will repeat itself this year. This can only be interpreted that the Vienna Cardinal supports the blessings of his Dean.
There are some Catholics who do not wish to criticize and do not wish to condone, come up with the usual excuses.

“The Cardinal did not know anything about it. He did not really want it. He didn’t actually participate. He has an enormous number of anti-Catholics in important positions to consider. What can he do on his own? He is alone.”

Does this mean that the Cardinal is not master of his own Cathedral parish?

There can only be one conclusion. The Cardinal should become the Dean and the Dean should become Cardinal.

The Cardinal will have to decide whether he wishes to exercise his office which he has received from the Pope.

He has until Wednesday to think about it. After Wednesday we will know.

Wednesday has been and gone.

As predicted, the Archdiocese of Vienna is full of surprises. Blessings also took place in other Churches including the Church of the Knights of Malta and Church of Mary, Our Help (Cardinal permits St Valentine Day Blessings of homosexual couples).

Just as a reminder, good readers, who was the conciliar “pope” on February 14, 2007, the Feast of Saint Valentine?

That’s right. You got it.

None other than Christoph Schonborn’s own mentor under whose auspices he worked at the International Theological Commission and upon the so-called Catechism of the Catholic Church, Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.

Did the “restorer of tradition,” “Pope Benedict,” do anything to discipline his protégé in Vienna?

Of course not.

Thus, you see, the story about Christoph Schonborn’s having blessed a sodomite “couple” is eminently believable.

Far from being “worried” about the presence of sodomites within the ranks of the conciliar clergy, Jorge Mario Bergoglio has been their key enabler and apologist from the earliest days of his presidency over the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Consider how “Pope Francis” walked hand-in-hand with a priest who was known as a homosexual activist, Father Luigi Ciotti, on April 2, 2014:

Jorge Mario Bergoglio also kissed the hand of a ninety-three year-old homosexual activist named Don Michele De Paolis when he met with him at the Casa Santa Marta on May 7, 2014 (See Jorge the Kissing Fool.)

Bergoglio has no problem with those who live in lives of unrepentant sins of perversion, and he has no problem with those who promote it, which is why he insisted that language "sensitive" to the needs of practicing sodomites be kept in the final report of last year's "extraordinary synod of bishops" after the passages had failed to receive the necessary two-thirds majority approval from the "bishops" in attednance. Lorenzo Baldiserri (see Modernnists Say Nothing Original) has been kind enough to admit that this is the case, an admission that came shortly before Bergoglio met with a woman who had mutiliated herself in an attempt to become a "man" after she had written to him, a letter that prompted Jorge to offer to pay her travel expenses to the Casa Santa Marta along with her supposed "fiancee" (see Mutilating All Truth.), and he has admitted that he wanted the following passages about those committing the sin of Sodomy, which just happens to be one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, inserted into the official record of the "extraordinary synod" of "bishops" in 2014 despite its not receiving an affirmative vote from two-thirds of the apostates in attendance and the fact that Amoris Laetitia, March 19, 2016, used more nuanced language while expressing a need to "welcome" those who have "tendencies" to the commission of sins of unnatural vice:

Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community: are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a fraternal space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home. Are our communities capable of providing that, accepting and valuing their sexual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony?

The question of homosexuality leads to a serious reflection on how to elaborate realistic paths of affective growth and human and evangelical maturity integrating the sexual dimension: it appears therefore as an important educative challenge. The Church furthermore affirms that unions between people of the same sex cannot be considered on the same footing as matrimony between man and woman. Nor is it acceptable that pressure be brought to bear on pastors or that international bodies make financial aid dependent on the introduction of regulations inspired by gender ideology.

Without denying the moral problems connected to homosexual unions it has to be noted that there are cases in which mutual aid to the point of sacrifice constitutes a precious support in the life of the partners. Furthermore, the Church pays special attention to the children who live with couples of the same sex, emphasizing that the needs and rights of the little ones must always be given priority. (Synod on Family: Midterm report presented, 2015 Synod announced.)

This reflected the mind of Jorge Mario Bergoglio perfectly.

Moreover, the man who says that he is “worried” about homosexuals in the conciliar clergy has appointed lavender-friendly men as “bishops” throughout the world, including here in the United States of America. Two the most notorious of these are Blase Cupich, the conciliar “archbishop” of Chicago, and Joseph Tobin, the conciliar “archbishop” of Newark, New Jersey, whose scandalous relationship with an Italian soap opera actor was exposed recently by George Neumayr of the American Spectator:

Some nasty sleet covered Baltimore on early Thursday morning. Looking at a twenty-minute walk in it, I nearly scotched my plan to walk over to the Inner Harbor Marriott to see if I could catch Cardinal Joseph Tobin checking out of the hotel after the U.S. bishops’ conference wrapped up at it. I wanted to ask Tobin about a story I broke in October: that an Italian actor, Francesco Castiglione, was living in his rectory, which had caused murmuring among concerned Catholics in his archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey. Some of those concerned Catholics had called me, suspecting that Castiglione was the real recipient of Tobin’s infamous accidental tweet from last February in which he declared to someone unknown, “Nighty-Night Baby, I love you.” An embarrassed Tobin had explained away the Twitter misfire as a late-night message to one of his sisters.

My slippery walk to the Marriott proved productive. I lurked about the Marriott lobby for a few minutes, then looked up and saw Tobin emerge from the elevator and saunter over to the check-out desk. Here was my chance. I waited for him to complete his business, then introduced myself and asked him about Francesco Castiglione.

Was Castiglione living at the rectory until I reported it? Tobin responded that, yes, Castiglione was living at his rectory “temporarily.” I asked him why. He said that Castiglione was taking “language classes” at Seton Hall. Asked why he would provide temporary housing to a random Seton Hall student, Tobin couldn’t offer an explanation.

Where was Castiglione now? “As far as I know, he is back in Italy,” said Tobin hesitantly. (I had been told by a well-placed source in Newark that after my reporting about Castiglione Tobin’s aides moved him out of the rectory and put him on a plane back to Italy. But his recent Instagram and Facebook postings indicate that he has returned to New Jersey; he is seen in one picture getting ice cream in Summit, New Jersey and in others hanging out in New York City.)

Then I got to an even more delicate matter: Was Castiglione the real recipient of the “Nighty-Night Baby” tweet? Tobin stuck with his story about sending it to a family member. “I sent that to my sister,” he said. I asked him if she could provide proof of that. That didn’t go over well. “I don’t have to prove anything to you,” he said, as he started to walk away from me.

I asked him one last batch of questions before he took off: Was he going to succeed Cardinal Wuerl in Washington, D.C.? “No, I am not,” he replied. Are you in the running? He demurred again, then turned back to me and said, “I am going to focus on Newark.” (George Neumayr confronts Joseph Tobin about Italian soap opera actor living in his rectory.)

It sure appears that Jorge Mario Bergoglio is really “worried” about the presence of homosexuals in his clergy, doesn’t it?

He is so “worried” that he just can’t help appointing men such as “Father” Timothy Radcliffe, O.P. (see Jorge The Most Wicked of Demons, part two), who was appointed in 2015 to be a “consultor” to the “Pontifical” Commission for Justice and Peace despite—perhaps because of—his longstanding and open support for sodomy as an expression of “love”—and “Father” James Martin, S.J., to prominent positions even though both are, to be put it charitably, very enamored of all things pertaining to the lavender agenda. Among other egregious things he has said and done. “Father” Radcliffe said in 2005 that it was “homophobes,” not homosexuals, who should be excluded from the conciliar presbyterate, and “Father” James Martin, has publicly trumpeted the way that “gays” are being treated by “Pope Francis”:

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 7, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Vatican consultant and homosexual activist priest Fr. James Martin stated at a recent conference that Pope Francis has gone out of his way to appoint “gay-friendly” bishops and cardinals in the Catholic Church.

Speaking at the Ignatian Family Teach-in for Justice 2018 in Washington D.C. on Saturday evening, the Jesuit priest and America magazine editor-at-large told students that “things are changing” in the Church regarding homosexuality under Francis’ watch.

“...Just look at what has happened in the last five years--since Pope Francis has been elected,” he said.

“First of all, Pope Francis’s comments about LGBT people like ‘Who am I to judge’. His five most famous words were in response to questions about gay people, right? He’s the first pope to use the word ‘gay’, you know, in a sentence,” Martin continued.

Martin emphasized Pope Francis’s relationships with people who identify as LGBT. He pointed out how the Pope has appointed bishops and cardinals who support the homosexual agenda.

“He has gay friends. He’s talked about wanting gay people to feel welcome in the Church. That’s a big deal. He has also appointed gay-friendly bishops and archbishops and cardinals, like Cardinal Tobin, the archbishop of Newark who, for example, held a ‘Welcome Mass’ for LGBT people in his Cathedral… So that’s one trend,’ Martin said.

The Jesuit priest noted that Francis’ words and actions show the pope’s commitment to advancing homosexuality within the Church. “What Pope Francis says and does, right?” he said. “What he says about LGBT people and what he does in terms of who he appoints,” he added.

Martin’s statements about Pope Francis deliberately appointing “gay-friendly” bishops and cardinals — such as Joseph Tobin — become all the more significant when read alongside statements made by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò in August about Pope Francis going around normal processes to make such appointments.

About this, Viganò wrote: “The appointments of Blase Cupich to Chicago and Joseph W. Tobin to Newark were orchestrated by McCarrick, Maradiaga and Wuerl, united by a wicked pact of abuses by the first, and at least of coverup of abuses by the other two. Their names were not among those presented by the Nunciature for Chicago and Newark.”

Basing her doctrine on Sacred Scripture, the Church teaches that homosexual acts are “acts of grave depravity” and are “intrinsically disordered” since they are “contrary to the natural law” in that they “close the sexual act to the gift of life.”

“Under no circumstances can they be approved,” States the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

St. Peter Damian, an 11th century Italian Catholic reformer and Doctor of the Church, described homosexuality in his famous Book of Gomorrah as a “diabolical” corruption of God’s plan for sexuality between a man and a woman. Homosexuality must not only be not tolerated, but it must be condemned and stamped out, he wrote.

“This vice is the death of bodies, the destruction of souls, pollutes the flesh, extinguishes the light of the intellect, expels the Holy Spirit from the temple of the human heart, introduces the diabolical inciter of lust, throws into confusion, and removes the truth completely from the deceived mind…It opens up hell and closes the door of paradise…It cuts off a member of the Church and casts him into the voracious conflagration of raging Gehenna,” he wrote.

Martin told his young listeners in Washington, D.C. this Saturday that the more “LGBT Catholics” who identify themselves as such, the more the Church will be affected by it.

“That trend is unstoppable,” he promised.

As evidence, Martin presented his interpretation of the recent Synod on Young People, Faith, and Vocational Discernment, saying that it was a “big step forward.”

“Last week, for example, at the Synod of Youth [sic] at the Vatican, they had a whole gathering of bishops and experts … to talk about young people. And LGBT issues were discussed there more openly than at any Synod in the past, right? That’s a big step forward,” he said.

“In their final document, the Synod delegates talked about accompaniment of LGBT people, listening to them, and acknowledge the work that many people in the Church do in ministering to this community.”

Martin did not mention that the discussion of “LGBT issues” was limited to two of the small working groups, i.e. those of Cardinals Cupich and Maradiaga, or that the passage he paraphrased was the one most voted against by the harried prelates. He did, however, note that the Synod eschewed the ideological expression “LGBT” from the final document:

“...The Synod couldn’t quite bring itself to use the term LGBT, preferring to stick with ‘sexual orientation’ in quotes,” he said, “thanks to opposition mainly from places where LGBT rights aren’t as far along, in some diocese in the US and particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and India.”

“Overall, though, the Church has moved ahead on these issues...and is learning,” he added. “The Church is learning.”

Martin picked up the theme of the Church as learner again later in his talk when he told his young listeners that they themselves will teach the Church about “transexual experience, about gender non-binary students”:

“Your generation, people in this room, will help the Church learn about these things,” he said. “How else is the Church going to learn other than listening to experience from people?”

The priest told the youthful gathering that they were called into baptism not only for their salvation but “to help the Church learn.”

He also suggested that the Church does not already love Catholics with same-sex attraction. According to an anecdote he shared, a fellow Jesuit told a young man with same-sex desires that “God loves you, and your Church is learning to love you.”

This ignores almost 40 years of work by churchmen like Father John Harvey and his “Courage” ministry to help people with same-sex attractions live healthy lives of holiness and chastity, to say nothing of the Church’s loving response to the HIV-AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 1990s. The Church has also refused to dehumanize people by defining them by their sexual appetites.

Martin was blasted by Archbishop Viganò in his first testimony concerning sexual abuse, cover-up and patronage in the highest echelons of the Church hierarchy. Noting Martin’s exalted patronage in the USA, the hard-hitting diplomat called Martin a “sad recent example” of a “deviated wing” of the Jesuits.

“Father James Martin, S.J., acclaimed by ... [Cardinals] Cupich, Tobin, Farrell and [Bishop] McElroy, appointed Consultor of the Secretariat for Communications, well-known activist who promotes the LGBT agenda, chosen to corrupt the young people who will soon gather in Dublin for the World Meeting of Families, is nothing but a sad recent example of that deviated wing of the Society of Jesus,” Viganò wrote. (Lay Jesuit James Martin Lauds Jorge Mario Bergoglio for appointment of sodomite-friendly "bishops".)

To be sure, there have been sodomites within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in the past, including Francis Cardinal Spellman, the Archbishop of New York from May 15, 1939, to December 2, 1967, whose history was detailed in Mrs. Randy Engel’s The Rite of Sodomy and confirmed recently in a disturbing one-hour video presentation about Spellman, Terence “Cardinal” Cooke and Theodore Edgar McCarrick (The Nexus Linking Spelly, Cooky and Teddy). However, the rise of Giovanni Battista Enrico Antonio Maria Montini/Paul VI, who had his own Italian actor-“friend,” began the process of the counterfeit church of conciliarism’s “official reconciliation” with the sin of Sodom by the public celebration of perversity and of those who wallow in it. As has been noted so frequently on this site, it is one thing to sin, it is quite another to persist in sin unrepentantly, worse yet to promote and celebrate it publicly.

Entire “liturgies” in various churches that are under the control of the conciliar revolutionaries in the past forty years have openly celebrated sodomy and those who practice it, and the number of such liturgical “celebrations” have increased dramatically since the “election” of Jorge Mario Bergoglio on March 13, 2013.

To wit, a “Monsignor” Francis X. Gaeta, who was the pastor of Saint Brigid Church in Westbury, New York, during the 1990s, included a “mission statement” in his parish’s bulletin concerning its open embrace of all people regardless of "sexual orientation.” This “embrace” was on open display during an especially egregious staging of the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service in Saint Brigid’s School in October of 1997.

A homosexual activist from the pervert-friendly parish of Saint Paul the Apostle Church in the City of New York got up to give a sermon after the distribution of Holy Communion to berate the Church for not embracing the lifestyles of those who express their "love" in ways that are not "approved" by church leaders. Gaeta, who officiated at the staging, smiled broadly and applauded vigorously after the man finished his sermon by saying that it was his job to “move” what they thought was the Catholic Church in the direction of “inclusiveness,” stating the Church must accept the sin of Sodom as an expression of “love” and “compassion.” (I covered the event for The Wanderer, for which a comprehensive report was written that is no longer in my possession.)

Such events are now more commonplace that ever within the conciliar structures, and they were far from unknown during the presidency of Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Indeed, one of Ratzinger’s own appointees, Timothy Michael Dolan, who has been the conciliar “archbishop” of New York since April 15, 2009, personally presided over a “rededication” ceremony at Saint Francis Xavier Church in the Greenwich Village section of the Borough of Manhattan on June 19, 2010, and listened as various speakers extolled the "LGBT ministry" at a parish, located in the western part of Greenwich Village, whose parishioners annually walk behind a parish banner in the annual parade of perversity that makes its insidious way down Fifth Avenue, passing right in front of the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in the process.

It should be entirely unsurprising, therefore, that “Father” James Martin, S.J., has been let loose on Catholic Faith and Morals by his fellow lay Jesuit revolutionary, Jorge Mario Bergoglio in spite of the latter’s alleged “worries” about sodomites on the conciliar clergy.

Martin’s latest outrage involves his support for a blasphemous sacrilege that is sickeningly deplorable. Lay Jesuit revolutionary James Martin has given his full endorsement to what is called a new set of meditations for Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary in support of the so-called “LGBTQ” agenda:

December 6, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-LGBT Jesuit priest Fr. James Martin is promoting on social media a rosary with “rainbow” beads for one of the decades which are to be used, the rosary’s creators say, to pray for the “full acceptance” of homosexual couples.

The “Rosary of Modern Sorrows,” created by a so-called Catholic social justice group Contemplative Rebellion, “invites us into guided meditation on the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters in the U.S. and around the world,” the group’s website states. The group says it creates religious “pieces of jewelry” to “break down the barriers that separate faith, race, social status, and income inequality.”

The suggested prayer for the “rainbow” fifth decade states: "We pray for a welcoming of LGBTQ people by all churches, temples, mosques, and synagogues. We pray for LGBTQ couples, their children, and extended families. We Pray that they may be supported and loved, with full acceptance as people truly created in the image of God, a creation that God saw as ‘good', and who deserve to live every aspect of life to the fullest.”’

On Monday, Fr. Martin tweeted his endorsement of the rosary and its message.

“Dear friends: No one asked me (or paid me) to share these, but I thought you'd like to see two new works of art: the Rosary of Modern Sorrow (which invites us to pray for various types of sufferings) and a new (Middle Eastern) Holy Family Christmas card,” he tweeted.

e Catholic Church, following the words of Scripture and its constant, 2,000-year tradition, teaches that homosexual acts are gravely immoral, constituting a sin worthy of eternal punishment.

“They are contrary to the natural law,” states the Catechism of the Catholic Church. “Under no circumstances can they be approved,” it adds.

Michael Hichborn, founder and president of the Lepanto Institute, told LifeSiteNews that Fr. Martin was promoting "sacrilege."

"What Fr. Martin is promoting on social media is nothing short of sacrilege.  This gross misuse of the Holy Rosary not only reduces its sublime mysteries to a series of cheap political points, but is designed specifically to pray for acceptance of one of the four sins that cry to Heaven for Vengeance," he said,

"Sodom was swallowed by a raging inferno into the bowels of the earth because this particular sin is so offensive to God, and it is difficult to see how anyone who promotes it so heavily could escape a similar fate," he added.

Fr. Martin’s record of pro-homosexual activism is lengthy and ranges from his many speeches and media appearances promoting homosexuality to his retweeting of a complaint that priests can’t “bless” gay unions to suggesting that the Church is full of “homophobia” and “marginalizes” the same-sex attracted.

He supports homosexual men kissing each other during the sign of peace at Mass, says that a Catholic attending a same-sex “wedding” is like attending a Jewish wedding, and suggests that his critics are secretly homosexual themselves.

Fr. Martin says homosexual priests should “come out” about their sexual proclivities, but has publicly declined to say whether he himself is homosexual.

Last month at the U.S. Bishops’ Conference in Baltimore, Texas Bishop Joseph Strickland chastised his brother bishops for offering a platform to a certain traveling priest who speaks a pro-homosexual message. He did not specifically name Fr. Martin.

“There’s a priest that travels around now basically saying that he doesn’t [believe the doctrine of the Church],” he said, “and he seems to be very well promoted in various places.”

“Brothers, I think part of the fraternal correction, or the fraternal support, we offer each other is to say, 'Can that be presented in our diocese? That same-sex ‘marriage’ is just fine, and the Church will one day grow to understand that,'” the Bishop said to his brother bishops gathered for their General Assembly.

“It’s part of our deposit of faith that we believe homosexual activity is immoral,” he added.

Fr. Martin and his homosexual activism was also criticized in an October edition of EWTN’s World Over. The Catholic Thing Editor-in-chief Robert Royal told host Raymond Arroyo that “committing acts of sodomy” are not part of “God’s creation.”

“It is a terrible problem for the Church, precisely because some of the leadership is pushing the line that Father James Martin has been pushing in his books and speeches, which is that God made you this way,” Murray said. “And the assertions made 'God made me a homosexual, God made me a bisexual, God made me a transgender person' – this is not true.” (James Martin Promotes Rainbow Rosary with prayers for full acceptance of sodomites and practitioners of its related vices.)

Well, unfortunately for “Bishop” Joseph Strickland, Dr. Robert Royal and the Reverend Gerald Murray, who was in my acquaintance off and on during the 1980s and 1990s, James Martin has the full support of “Pope Francis,” which should be a fairly good indicator that a “pope” who can permit such a man to speak as he does is no pope at all as a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter would exhort hardened sinners to reform their lives, not reaffirm them therein. No true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter would stand still as the Most Blessed Mother’s Holy Rosary, which she gave to Saint Dominic de Guzman to fight the Albigensian heresy, is used as a means to support one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance. Then again, the problem facing “conservatives” in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is not that they have a “heretical” pope, which is an impossibility, but that they are in a false church that has promulgated false doctrines and liturgical rites that are offensive to God and sacramentally barren while occupying the buildings and institutions of the Catholic Church. (See, for example, Antichrist Has Shown Us His Calling Card.)

If misusing Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary was not enough of offense to give to God and a scandal to cause for believing Catholics who take devotion to this weapon given to us by Our Lady to fight heresy, this unspeakably horrible situation is compounded by the fact that the twenty percent of the proceeds from the sales of the “Modern Rosary of Sorrows” is going to fund another sin that cries out to Heaven, the willful murder of the innocent preborn:

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, December 14, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Profits from the sacrilegious rosary promoted by LGBT-affirming Father James Martin last week will fund groups supportive of abortion and other causes in conflict with Catholic teaching.

Some of the proceeds from “Rosary of Modern Sorrows” will go to Sister Simone Campbell’s NETWORK, a social justice lobbying group of U.S. Catholic nuns cited as problematic by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). Other groups receiving the proceeds include Women for Women International, which promotes contraception and "reproductive health" and has partnered with Planned Parenthood and leftist groups such as Southern Poverty Law Center.

The rosary is the product of social justice group Contemplative Rebellion and has decades comprised of social justice intentions, with the fifth decade consisting of rainbow beads. The suggested prayer for the decade petitions for the "full acceptance" of LGBT couples. Its Charities We Support page lists a numer of problematic partners. The company says it gives 20 percent to 100 percent of its profits to the listed charities.

Martin had promoted the rosary on Twitter and Facebook, as reported by LifeSiteNews last week.

In 2012 the Vatican’s CDF had censured the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), the association of the leaders of congregations of Catholic women religious in the United States representing more than 80 percent of the 57,000 women religious (nuns) in the country, for its positions on pro-life issues, women’s ordination and homosexuality, also naming NETWORK in the process.

NETWORK had worked to undermine the US Bishops’ opposition to Obamacare because of abortion funding.

Campbell herself undermined the Bishops’ efforts to ensure pro-life protections in Obamacare by pushing for a bill the Bishops opposed and then supporting a bill that would put more federal funding into Planned Parenthood and mandate abortion coverage in state medical assistance programs. Both Planned Parenthood and NARAL also backed the bill.

Campbell pushed for swift passage of Obamacare; despite concerns it meant the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade, which she dismissed as "insignificant details,"

Campbell also supports women priests and opposes outlawing abortion.

In addition to supporting NETWORK, the rainbow-rosary making group funds other non-profits that support abortion, including the radical Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

SPLC purports to monitor “hate groups and other extremists,” but frequently targetsmainstream Christian, pro-family, and conservative groups.

The Pentagon cut its ties with SPLC as a training resource on extremism last year.

The group paid nearly $3.4 to settle a defamation suit earlier this year to an organization it falsely labeled anti-Muslim extremists. Some 60 other organizations were in the process of considering bringing similar legal action against SPLC. (Sacrilegious "Rosary": promoted by Lay Jesuit Revolutionary James Martin Funds Pro-Abotion Organizations.)

“Climate change” of a different sort awaits the likes of “Father” James Martin, S.J., and those who promote the sacrilegious “Rosary of Modern Sorrows.” Hell awaits miscreants who dare to misuse our weapon against heresy and sin, Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary, to promote heresy and sin.

Contrary to the supposedly “loving” approach towards those who have chosen to identify themselves by a pestilential perversion of the gift that God gave to His rational creatures to populate the earth so that they could give Him honor and glory in this life and then, if they persist in a state of Sanctifying Grace as a member of the Catholic Church to the point of their death, to enjoy the glory of His Beatific Vision in Heaven for all eternity, the Catholic Church has taught us from time immemorial that Catholics must perform the Spiritual Works of Mercy to and that they must avoid being accessories to the sins of others.

Catholics believe in the Spiritual Works of Mercy, Jorge. Here is a little review for you:

  • To instruct the ignorant.
  • To counsel the doubtful.
  • To admonish sinners.
  • To bear wrongs patiently;
  • To forgive offences willingly;
  • To comfort the afflicted;
  • To pray for the living and the dead.

Catholics also believe that there are nine ways that they can be accessories to the sins of others:

  • 1. By counsel.
  • 2. By command.
  • 3. By consent.
  • 4. By provocation.
  • 5. By praise or flattery of the evil done.
  • 6. By silence.
  • 7. By connivance.
  • 8. By partaking.
  • 9. By defense of the ill done.

Conciliarism is by its very false nature uncharitable as it makes a mockery of the authentic, immutable teaching that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by making it appear that it is somehow opposed to tenderness and mercy to follow these words that Saint Paul wrote in his Second Epistle to Saint Timothy:

[1] I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom: [2] Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine[3] For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: [4] And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. [5] But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober. (2 Tim. 4: 1-15.)

A physician does not "judge" anyone if he warns him what might happen if he does not stop engaging in a certain course of behavior that is deleterious to his bodily health.

Similarly, one who warns another about the state of his soul as he persists in a life of unrepentant sin is simply performing a fundamental Spiritual Work of Mercy, and those who are inclined to and/or steeped in perverse sins against nature are not to be left without being remonstrated as this is a duty of a Catholic before God and to the eternal and temporal good of the sinner.

It is one thing to sin and to be sorry and then to seek out the mercy of the Divine Redeemer in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. It is quite another to persist in sin, no less perverse sins against nature, unrepentantly and to expect others to reaffirm him in those sins, whether explicitly by words of approval or implicitly by silence, which betokens consent. Catholics must judge the states of their own souls every night in their Examen of Conscience, and they have a duty to help others to recognize the serious states of sin into which they have plunged themselves, praying beforehand to God the Holy Ghost to fill them with wisdom and prudence so as to provide a warning in such a way that could plant a seed to get an unrepentant sinner to a true priest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance.

To accept any of this as coming from the Catholic Church is to admit that she can propagate heresy and error to tickle the ears of Catholics and non-Catholics alike while scandalizing many Protestants and even Orthodox Jews by daring to assert that sinful behavior, whether natural or unnatural, contains "elements of true love" that can "teach" the "Church" about the "meaning" of "love" and "families" in our "modern" age.

Those who are unchaste must be exhorted to quit their immoral behavior, seeking out the Mercy of the Divine Redeemer in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance at the hands of a true priest as he acts in persona Christi as an alter Christus, resolved from thence on to live penitentially as the consecrated slaves of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, praying as many Rosaries each day as their state-in-life permits. You will hear no such exhortations from the lips of the conciliar "bishops," staring with Jorge Mario Bergoglio himself and allies of his such as James Martin.

We do not base human self-identification on the basis of an inclination to commit various sins. If we did, of course, perhaps we could refer to the "blasphemers' community" and the "killers' community" and the "thieves' community" and the "adulterers' community" and the "gossipers' community" and the "enviers' community." (Well, come to think of it, the counterfeit church of conciliarism is a collection of blasphemers, isn't it?) Human self-identification is not based on the inclination to commit any sins, and for Jorge Mario Bergoglio, James Martin, Blase Cupich, Joseph Tobin, Ranier Woelki, Reinhard Marx, Oscar Andres Maradiaga Rodriguez, Donald Wuerl and the rest of the conciliar revolutionaries to reaffirm those inclined to the commission of perverse sins demonstrates that they, the conciliar revolutionaries, do not understand that true love of God requires us will the good of others. the ultimate good of others is the salvation of their immortal souls, which they conciliar revolutionaries impede, not advance, as they write about the "elements of true love" and concern that perverse sinners have for each other than can "inspire" others by the "sacrifices" they make for each other.

Let me reprise the following once again for those who have been away from this site for a while:

1) God's love for us is an act of His divine will, the ultimate expression of which is the salvation of our immortal souls.

2) Our love for others must be premised on willing for them what God wills for us: their salvation.

3) We love no one authentically if we do or say anything, either by omission or commission, which reaffirms him in a life of unrepentant sin.

4) God hates sin. He wills the sinner to repent of his sins by cooperating with the graces He won for them on the wood of the Holy Cross.

5) Sin is what caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer unspeakable horrors on the wood of the Holy Cross and caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be thrust through with Seven Swords of Sorrow.

6) No one can say that he loves Our Lord or Our Lady if he persist in sin unrepentantly and/or celebrates the commission of sin in public acts of defiance against the binding precepts of the Divine positive law and the Natural Law.

7) Each sin darkens the intellect and weakens the will, inclining us all the more to sin and sin again. We must, therefore, resolve never to sin again and to do penance for our sins as Our Lady herself implored us to do when she appeared in th Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, ninety years ago.

8) It is therefore forbidden for anyone of this parish or diocese to participate or support, whether morally or financially, any event whatsoever that celebrates any sin, whether natural or unnatural, and/or encourages people to persist in sin as a legitimate "lifestyle."

9) One of the Spiritual Works of Mercy is to admonish the sinner. We have an obligation to admonish those who are in lives on unrepentant sin to turn away from their lives of sin and to strive to pursue the heights of sanctity.

10) God has compassion on all erring sinners, meaning each one of us. He understands our weakness. He exhorts us, as He exhorted the woman caught in adultery, to "Go, and commit this sin no more."

11) It is not an act of "love" for people to persist in unrepentant sins with others.

12) It is not an act of "judgmentalness" or "intolerance" to exhort people who are living lives of unrepentant sin to reform their lives lest their souls wind up in Hell for eternity.

13) Mortal Sins cast out Sanctifying Grace from the soul. Those steeped in unrepentant mortal sin are the captives of the devil until they make a good and sincere Confession.

14) Certain sins cry out to Heaven for vengeance. Sodomy is one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance.

15) Those engaged in natural or unnatural acts against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments do not "love" the individuals with whom they are sinning. Authentic love cannot exist in a soul committed to a life against the Commandments of God and the eternal welfare of one's own soul, no less the souls of others.

16) Those engaged in natural or unnatural acts against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments are not fit to adopt children.

17) Those engaged in natural or unnatural acts against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments are not fit to adopt children because their very sinful lives put into jeopardy the eternal of the souls of the children they seek to adopt. It is not possible for people who are sinning unrepentantly to teach children to hate sin as God hates sin. They are immersed in sin. Pope Pius XI put it this way in Casti Connubii, December 31,1930:

But Christian parents must also understand that they are destined not only to propagate and preserve the human race on earth, indeed not only to educate any kind of worshippers of the true God, but children who are to become members of the Church of Christ, to raise up fellow-citizens of the Saints, and members of God's household, that the worshippers of God and Our Savior may daily increase. (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31,1930.)

18) Those engaged in unnatural, perverse acts against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments are further unfit to adopt children because they have no right in the Divine positive law or the natural law to live together as a "couple."  Once again, Pope Pius XI's Casti Connubii:

Nor must We omit to remark, in fine, that since the duty entrusted to parents for the good of their children is of such high dignity and of such great importance, every use of the faculty given by God for the procreation of new life is the right and the privilege of the married state alone, by the law of God and of nature, and must be confined absolutely within the sacred limits of that state. (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31,1930.)

19) Those engaged in unnatural, perverse acts against the Sixth and Ninth Commandment have no right in the Divine positive law or the natural law to present a "model" of parenthood that is from the devil himself. The words that Saint Paul wrote about perversity in Rome in his own day are quite apropos of our own:

Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use against which is their nature.

And in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error.

And as they liked not to  have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy.

Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.  (Romans 1: 24-32)

20) Matrimony was elevated to a Sacrament by Our Lord at the wedding feast in Cana. The Holy Sacrament of Matrimony is entered into by one man and by one woman to achieve these ends: the procreation and education of children, the mutual good of the spouses, a remedy for concupiscence. Pope Pius XI noted this in Casti Connubii:

This conjugal faith, however, which is most aptly called by St. Augustine the "faith of chastity" blooms more freely, more beautifully and more nobly, when it is rooted in that more excellent soil, the love of husband and wife which pervades all the duties of married life and holds pride of place in Christian marriage. For matrimonial faith demands that husband and wife be joined in an especially holy and pure love, not as adulterers love each other, but as Christ loved the Church. This precept the Apostle laid down when he said: "Husbands, love your wives as Christ also loved the Church,"[24] that Church which of a truth He embraced with a boundless love not for the sake of His own advantage, but seeking only the good of His Spouse.[25] The love, then, of which We are speaking is not that based on the passing lust of the moment nor does it consist in pleasing words only, but in the deep attachment of the heart which is expressed in action, since love is proved by deeds. This outward expression of love in the home demands not only mutual help but must go further; must have as its primary purpose that man and wife help each other day by day in forming and perfecting themselves in the interior life, so that through their partnership in life they may advance ever more and more in virtue, and above all that they may grow in true love toward God and their neighbor, on which indeed "dependeth the whole Law and the Prophets." For all men of every condition, in whatever honorable walk of life they may be, can and ought to imitate that most perfect example of holiness placed before man by God, namely Christ Our Lord, and by God's grace to arrive at the summit of perfection, as is proved by the example set us of many saints.

This mutual molding of husband and wife, this determined effort to perfect each other, can in a very real sense, as the Roman Catechism teaches, be said to be the chief reason and purpose of matrimony, provided matrimony be looked at not in the restricted sense as instituted for the proper conception and education of the child, but more widely as the blending of life as a whole and the mutual interchange and sharing thereof. (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930.)

21) It is never permissible to put even one child into spiritual, if not physical, jeopardy by claiming that so many others would be helped if the Church did not cooperate with an unjust law. Our Lord said that it would be better for one to have a millstone thrown around his neck and thrown into a lake than to lead one of his little ones astray. He was not joking.

22) Sinners must repent of the evil they have done in order to live ives of penance and mortification worthy of Saint Francis of Assisi. Pray as many Rosaries as you can each day of our life. They must repent and pray and work for the conversion of those with whom they have sinned, sure to make a full, integral confession to a true piest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance on a weekly basis.

Catholic bishop would not hesitate to make these points. Although there are some true bishops from the Eastern Rites present in Rome at this time, they are one with the their brother “non-bishops” of the Roman Rite within the counterfeit church of conciliarism as being completely bereft of the Catholic Faith, thus leaving souls “happy” in this life to be condemned for all eternity in Hell, the very place where the conciliar revolutionaries themselves are headed if they do not have a miraculous conversion to the true Faith before they die.

Ah, Bergoglio is neither a Catholic nor a bishop. He is a man who fell from the Faith long ago, dating back to the days he was scandalized by the refusal of faithful Catholics to recognize the legitimacy of divorced Catholics "marrying" again civilly. He is a suborner of sin because he is A Man of Sin.

How do Catholics speak to sinners?

How did Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ speak to sinners whilst He walk the face of the earth?

Our Lord did not reaffirm the woman caught in adutery her sin. He did not applaud her. He did not excuse the gravity of violating the Sixth Commandment. He did not explain away her sin by saying that she was genetically-predisposed to commit it or that it was "impossible" for her to keep from committing it. Our Lord, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity made Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, said the following to her:

Go, and now sin no more. (John 8: 11.)

Our Lord told the woman caught in adultery to reform her life, to quit her sins once and for all. He tells us, each of whom is a sinner (and I am one of the worst and most miserable, truth be told) the same thing in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance as we resolve to amend our lives as we pray the Act of Contrition as a true priest administers Absolution upon our immortal souls, thereby applying the merits His own Most Precious Blood upon them.

The false mercy of Jorge Mario Bergoglio and the likes of James Martin, coupled with his denunciations of faithful Catholics, comes at a time when sin is being justified and enabled by the lords of Modernity, who deem as "haters" the very people Bergoglio sees as "hypocrites." None other than the Patron Saint of Moral Theologians, Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, a Doctor of Holy Mother Church, had a few choice words about the delusions of the sorts of unprentant sinners whom Bergoglio believes are "judged" by merciless "hypocrites".

Consider the following passages from Saint Alphonsus de Ligouri’s sermon for Sexagesima Sunday:

The Devil brings sinners to hell by closing their eyes to the dangers of perdition. He first blinds them, and then leads them with himself to eternal torments. If, then, we wish to be saved, we must continually pray to God in the words of the blind man in the gospel of this day,” Lord, that I may see." Give me light: make me see the way in which I must walk in order to save my soul, and to escape the deceits of the enemy of salvation. I shall, brethren, this day place before your eyes the delusion by which the devil tempts men to sin and to persevere in sin, that you may know how to guard yourselves against his deceitful artifices

2. To understand these delusions better, let us imagine the case of a young man who, seized by some passion, lives in sin, the slave of Satan, and never thinks of his eternal salvation. My son, I say to him, what sort of life do you lead? If you continue to live in this manner, how will you be able to save your soul? But, behold! the devil, on the other hand, says to him: Why should you be afraid of being lost? Indulge your passions for the present: you will afterwards confess your sins, and thus all shall be remedied. Behold the net by which the devil drags so many souls into hell. “Indulge your passions: you will hereafter make a good confession." But, in reply, I say, that in the meantime you lose your soul. Tell me: if you had a jewel worth a thousand pounds, would you throw it into a river with the hope of afterwards finding it again? What if all your efforts to find it were fruitless? God! you hold in your hand the invaluable jewel of your soul, which Jesus Christ has purchased with his own blood, and you cast it into hell! Yes; you cast it into hell; because according to the present order of providence, for every mortal sin you commit, your name is written among the number of the damned. But you say.” I hope to recover God’s grace by making a good confession." And if you should not recover it, what shall be the consequences? To make a good confession, a true sorrow for sin is necessary, and this sorrow is the gift of God: if he does not give it, will you not be lost for ever?  ("The Delusions of Sinners: Sermon for Quinquagesima Sunday," as found in Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, The Sermons of Saint Alphonsus Liguori For All the Sundays of the Year, republished by TAN Books and Publishers in 1982, pp. 118-119.)

The conciliar revolutionaries, of course, live in a delusional world. Their world is so delusional that they do not even tell the unrepentant sinner that he has to make a good confession, not that the thought of doing so enters into the minds of most unrepentant sinners today.

Bergoglio embraces and enables the very crimes of Modernity that have contributed to the natural disasters of our present age, and he bears direct responsibility for the crimes of Modernism as advanced by the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres explained the connection between the sins of men and natural disasters and tragedies:

While the founding mothers admired Mother Mariana's perfect observance of the rule and practice of virtue, there were other sisters who were stirred by jealousy. Mother Marina suffered insults and persecutions form those sisters without ever trying to justify herself or protest. Only at the foot of the Tabernacle did she confide her secret sorrows to her Beloved. One day in 1582, as she was praying before the altar, she saw the Tabernacle open and Christ Himself emerged, suffering as He had at Golgotha. The Blessed Virgin, at His feet, was shedding tears of pearls. Mother Mariana asked her, "My Lady, am I do blame for this sadness?"

"No, she replied, "it is not you, but the criminal world." Then as Our Lord began His Agony, she heard the voice of the Eternal Father saying, "This punishment will be for the 20th century." She saw three swords hanging over the head of Christ. On each was written, "I shall punish heresy, blasphemy and impurity." With this, she was given to understand all that would take place in the present era.

The Holy Virgin continued: "My daughter, will you sacrifice yourself for the people of this time?" Mother Mariana replied, "I am willing." And immediately the swords moved away from the agonizing Christ and buried themselves in the hear of Mother Mariana, who fell dead through the violence and pain. (Marian Therese Horvat, Ph.D., Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times, Tradition in Action, Inc., second edition, 2000, p. 27.)

Following Mother Mariana's "mysterious death and resurrection," Our Lady spoke to her again:

"Thus do I make it known to you that from the end of the 19th century and especially in the 20th century, in what is today the Colony and then will be the Republic of Ecuador, the passions will erupt and there will be a total corruption of customs, for Satan will reign almost completely by means of Masonic sects. They will focus particularly on the children in order to achieve this general corruption. Woe to the children of these times! It will be difficult to receive the Sacrament of Baptism, and also that of Confirmation. Making use of persons in positions of authority, the devil will assiduously try to destroy the Sacrament of Confession ...

"The same thing will happen with Holy Communion. Alas! How deeply I grieve upon manifesting to you the many and horrible sacrileges--both public and also secret--that will occur from such profanations of the Holy Eucharist! Often during this epoch, the enemies of Jesus Christ, instigated by the demon, will steal consecrated hosts from the churches so that they might profane the Eucharistic Species. My Most Holy Will will see Himself cast upon the ground and trampled upon by irreverent feet" . . . .

"Know, moreover, that Divine Justice releases terrible chastisements on entire nations, not only for the sins of the people, but especially for those of priests and religious persons. For the latter are called by the perfection of their state, to be the salt of the earth, the masters of truth and deflectors of divine wrath. Straying from their divine mission, they degrade themselves in such a way that, before the eyes of God, they quicken the rigor of the punishments. . . . (Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times, pp. 44-45; 63)

We should not be surprised, therefore, by the outbreaks of various natural disasters as they are instruments of God's justice. They are also, however, instruments of His ineffable mercy, providing survivors (and those in other parts of the world who become aware of various disasters) an opportunity to amend their lives and return to Him through His Catholic Church before they die sudden and sacramentally unprovided-for deaths. We must remember that there is nothing we can suffer in this passing, mortal vale of tears that is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Lord to suffer during His Passion and Death, remembering also how our sins caused Seven Swords of Sorrow to be thrust through the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Dr. Horvat put it this way in Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times:

It is almost impossible for us to understand the next phase of the life of the novice Mariana de Jesus Torres. Hidden in the Heart of her Spouse, she was inflamed with a desire for a life of immolation and sacrifice. Our Lord Himself told her the practices she should carry out during the free hours of the community schedule and the penances she should perform each week. Her severe disciplines, sacrifices, fasting and prayer, all described in chapters of the manuscript, appear daunting to the man of our century, who finds suffering something to avoid, or, at best, to endure as austerely as possible.

Suffering is highly ennobling. On this road of suffering in union with Christ, man finds the fullest meaning of his life, and he discovers that frequently it is in the great sufferings of life, accepted with a supernatural disposition, that he can find a joy which the greatest pleasures do not give. Further, he discovers in suffering an interior state that makes him capable of soaring to heights impossible for one who does not suffer. Only when man embraces great sufferings can his horizons expand to grand metaphysical and religious heights and his spirit advance to a superior state. At the end of Mother Mariana's life when her sanctity was acknowledged in the community and convent, she would look back with nostalgia and sigh for the days of persecution and suffering. (Marian Therese Horvat, Ph.D., Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times, Tradition in Action, Inc., second edition, 2000, p. 26.)

Yes, God punishes men for the sins, both in this life and, in the case of those who die in a state of Mortal sin, for all eternity in hell. This is simply His Divine Justice, which is not in the least in conflict with his ineffable mercy for erring sinners who seek to reform their lives by confessing their sins, both by kind and number as far as they are able to remember, to a true priest.

God will not be mocked. Sins must be punished. God chooses a variety of ways to punish us errant, recidivist, ungrateful sinners. The elements of the earth are themselves disturbed by human sins as they are part of the Order of Creation (Nature) whose perfect balance was rent asunder as a result of Original Sin.

I would entreat you, however, to consider how Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself told Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres that the sins of men in Ecuador, a country favored with the visits of Our Lady of Good Success and ruled for twelve years (1859 to 1865 and 1869 to the time of assassination in 1875) by that great exemplar of the Social Reign of Christ the King, Gabriel Garcia Moreno, would diminish the luster of the sunsets in that country on the equator:

She saw that when this would happen, the beautiful dawn that each morning would break forth with refulgence over this land—so enchantingly spectacular that some persons would rise at daybreak just to see the day break--would lose some of its brilliance. Thus does earth reflect Heaven, and the earth's beauty and vitality diminish with sin and infidelity to grace. This favor of beautiful dawns should cease, Mother Mariana was given to understand, because the Republic [of Ecuador, which was then only a Spanish colony] would become corrupt and ungrateful for the benefits it received from God. (Marian Therese Horvat, Ph.D., Stories and Miracles of Our Lady of Good Success, Tradition in Action, Inc., 2002, p. 68.)

Men must quit their sins and repent of them in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, not invent a "Rosary of Modern Sorrows" to pray for their chose to perist in unrepentant sin, no less the sin of Sodom and its related vices. Men must treat each other as they would treat Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who was made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb, where He spent nine months growing to the point of His Nativity in poverty and anonymity in Bethlehem on Christmas Day.

No one can say that he loves Our Lord and yet supports His dismemberment mystically in the persons of innocent preborn children. And it is impossible to provide for any element of  the common temporal good on an enduring basis as long as the innocent preborn are attacked with legal impunity, as long as the Sovereignty of God over the sanctity and fecundity of marriage is denied by means of contraception, as long as perversity is promoted under the slogans of "diversity" and "human rights," as long as men live as though there is no true Church and that they do not have to face Christ the King as their Judge at the moment of their Particular Judgments.

Men cannot sin wantonly without realizing terrible chastisements from God, something that Saint Alphonsus de Liguori made very clear in Preparation for Death:

The Lord does not wish us to be lost; and therefore, by the threat of chastisement, he unceasingly exhorts us to a change of life. Except you will be converted, He will brandish His sword. Behold, he says in another place, how many, because they would not cease to offend me, have met with a sudden death, when they were least expecting it, and were living in peace, secure of a life of many years. For whey they shall say: Peace and security: then shall sudden destruction come upon them. Again he says: Unless you shall do penance, you shall likewise perish. Why so many threats of chastisements before the execution of vengeance? It is because he wishes that we amend our lives, and thus avoid an unhappy death. "He," says Saint Augustine, "who tells you to beware, does not wish to take away your life." It is necessary, then, to prepare our accounts before the day of account arrives. Dearly beloved Christians, were you to die, and were your lot for eternity to be decided before night would your accounts be ready? Oh! how much would you give to obtain from God another year or month, or even another day, to prepare for judgment? Why then do yo not now, that God gives you this time, settle the accounts of your conscience? Perhaps is cannot happen that this shall be the last day for you? Delay not to be converted to the Lord, and defer it not from day to day; for His wrath shall come on a sudden, and in the time of vengeance He will destroy thee. My brother, to save your soul you must give up your sin. "If then you must renounce it at some time, why do you not abandon it at this moment?" says Saint Augustine. Perhaps you are waiting till death arrives? But for obstinate sinners, the hour of death is the time, not of pardon, but of vengeance. In the time of vengeance He will destroy thee. (Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, Preparation for Death.)

While we must pray for the conversion of the conciliar revolutionaries, including the truly pitiable likes of James Martin and his fellow lay Jesuit revolutionary, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, we must always make reparation for the offenses they and their fellow blasphemes and promoters/practitioners of sacrilege give to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Christ and to His Most Blessed Mother. We should pray an extra Rosary today, Ember Wednesday in Advent, for these new outrages while renewing once again the acts of blasphemies against and insults given to the Most Holy Queen of Heaven and Earth, Our Lady:

An Act of Reparation for Blasphemies Against the Blessed Virgin Mary

Most glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, turn our eyes of pity upon us, miserable sinners; we are sore afflicted by the many evils that surround us in this life, but especially do we feel our hearts break within us upon hearing the dreadful insults and blasphemies uttered against thee, O Virgin Immaculate. O how these impious sayings offend the infinite Majesty of Go an of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ! How they provoke His indignation and give us cause to fear the terrible effects of His vengeance! Would that the sacrifice of our lives might avail to put an end to such outrages and blasphemies; were it so, how gladly should we make it, for we desire, O most holy Mother, to love thee and to honor thee and to honor thee with all our hearts, since this is the will of God. And just because we love thee, we will do all that is in our power to make thee honored and loved by all men. In the meantime, do thou, our merciful Mother, the supreme comforter of the afflicted, accept this our act of reparation which we offer thee for ourselves and for all our families as well as for all who impiously blaspheme thee, not knowing what they say. Do thou obtain for them from Almighty God the grace of conversion, and thus render more manifest and more glorious thy kindness, thy power and thy great mercy. May they join with us in proclaiming thee blessed among women, the Immaculate Virgin and most compassionate Mother of God.  (Three Hail Marys. An indulgence of five years. The Raccolta: A Manual of Indulgences, Prayers and Devotions Enriched with Indulgences: approved by Pope Pius XII, May 30, 1951, and published in English by Benziger Brothers, New York, 1957, No. 328, pp. 227-228.)

In Reparation for Insults Offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary

O blessed Virgin, Mother of God, look down in mercy from Heaven, where thou art enthroned as Queen, upon me, a miserable sinner, thine unworthy servant. Although I know full well my own unworthiness yet in order to atone for the offenses that are done to thee by impious tongues, from the depths of my heart I praise and extol thee as the fairest, the holiest creature of all God’s handiwork. I bless they holy Name, I praise thine exalted privilege of being truly Mother of Go, ever-Virgin, conceived without stain of sin, Co-Redemptrix of the human race. I bless the Eternal Father who chose thee in an especial way for His daughter; I bless the Word Incarnate who took upon Himself our nature in thy bosom and so made thee His Mother; I bless the Holy Spirit who took thee as His bride. All honor, praise and thanksgiving to the ever-blessed Trinity who predestined thee and love thee so exceedingly from all eternity as to exalt thee above all creatures to the most sublime heights. O Virgin, holy and merciful, obtain for all who offend thee the grace of repentance, and graciously accept this homage from me thy servant, obtaining likewise for me from thy divine Son, the pardon and remission of all my sins.  Three Hail Marys. The Raccolta: A Manual of Indulgences, Prayers and Devotions Enriched with Indulgences: approved by Pope Pius XII, May 30, 1951, and published in English by Benziger Brothers, New York, 1957, No. 328, pp. 228-229.)

No one who takes his Catholic Faith seriously can remain silent or indifferent about the blasphemies committed against Our Lady by the likes of “Pope Francis.” We must defend Our Lady’s honor and her privileges, and we must make acts of reparation for the crimes of Bergoglio and his fellow heretics and blasphemer.

Reflecting on the O Antiphons that we pray in Vespers from December 17 to December 24, Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., provided some commentary that is as relevant to our circumstances today as they were when his Light of the World was published in Germany in 1954. (The entire texts of Father Baur's reflections on the first three O Antiphons can be found in the appendices below.)

Father Benedict Baur’s reflection on the antiphon prayed on Mondaym December 17, “O Wisdom,” contains the following passages that describe both the ignorance of the naturalists—the “sensible” men of the world—and the faith of those who duly submissive to the Church founded by Wisdom Incarnate:

Divine Wisdom clothes itself in the nature of a man. It conceals itself in the weakness of a child. It chooses for itself, infancy, poverty, obedience, subjection, obscurity. “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the produce of the prudent I will not reject. . . . Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God, by the foolishness of our preaching, to save them that believe. For both the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek after wisdom; but since we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews, indeed, a stumbling block, and unto the Gentiles foolishness; but unto them that are called both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God.  . . . But the foolish things of the world hath God chosen, that He may confound the wise; and the weak things of the world hath God chosen, that He may confound the strong. And the base things of the world and the things that are contemptible, hath God chosen, and the things that are not, that He might bring to naught the things that are” (1 Cor.19 ff.).

Come, O Divine Wisdom, teach us the way of knowledge. We are unwise; we judge and speak according to the vain standards of the world, which is foolishness in the eyes of God. Come, O divine Wisdom, give us the true knowledge and the taste for what is eternal and divineInspire us with a thirst for God’s holy will help us seek God’s guidance and direction enlighten us in the teachings of the holy gospel, make us submissive to Thy holy Church. Strengthen us in the forgetfulness of self, and help us to reign ourselves to a position of obscurity if that be Thy holy will. Detach our hearts from resurgent pride. Give us wisdom that we may understand that “but one thing is necessary” (Luke 10:42). “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?” (Matt. 16:26.) The Holy Spirit would have us know that one degree of grace is worth more than all worldly possessions.

The sensual man,” with only his natural ability, his unaided human talents, “perceiveth not these thing that are of the Spirit of God” (1 Cor. 2:14).Eternal Wisdom is foolishness to such a man. He cannot understand because he is not spiritually minded. The spiritual man is guided by the Holy Ghost, penetrates and values all things in the light of divine Wisdom, who “Himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ,” the eternal Wisdom (1 Cor. 2:15f.).

The wisdom of God appears to us in the crib, in poverty, in silence, in the weakness of childhood, in the gospel message: Blessed are the poor in spirit, the meek, those who suffer persecution for Christ’s sake. The wisdom of God is made manifest in the foolishness of the cross. (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World, Volume I, B. Herder Book Company, 1954, “O Divine Wisdom,” pp, 77-78.)

Father Baur’s reflection on “O Adonai,” which was prayed last night, Tuesday, December 18, 2018, the Fourth Sunday of Advent, echoes themes that had been written by Pope Pius XI over three decades earlier, reiterating the sad state of those who prefer to believe that Our Lord, if He is truly the Divine Redeemer, has no place in public life, or that all mention of His Holy Name must be banished from social discourse:

O Adonai, O almighty God, stretch forth Thy arm and save us. The enemy of our salvation, the enemy of souls, the enemy of the Church rises with great power seeking to destroy belief in God, in Christ, and in the Christian religion. Men have wandered far from the true God; they have turned their backs on Him and made for themselves grave images. They have banished God from their thoughts and from their lives. God is a disturbing element which they would be glad to be rid of. Any other molestation they will gladly suffer, no matter how foolish and disturbing it is.

“Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and ye gates thereof be very desolate with the Lord. For My people have done two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living water, and have digged to themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.” (Jer. 2: 12 f.). Both men and nations have lost all peace and tranquility. All virtues, innocence, fidelity, honor, honesty, and even a man’s word may be bought for gold. Scarcely one man can be found who trusts another. Nation has risen against nation, and man against man. Few are they who are faithful to their duty. The spirit of self-sacrifice is rarely to be found. Whether men read, study, or work, their actions are characterized by a spirit of restlessness and disquietude. All their striving produces few results, except to make them more tired, empty, and soulless. And yet they perish in their efforts to do without God and without Christ. Thus they live in spite of the fact “there is no other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4: 12.). Only He, the almighty God, can save us. (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World,  Volume I, “O Adonai,” pp. 79-80.)

Yes, this all the angst amongst "conservatives" who are striving within a false church against the heresies, sacrileges and blasphemies of a false "pope."

“All their striving produces few results, except to make them more tire, empty, and soulless. And yet they perish in their efforts to do without God and without Christ.”

This is a perfect description of the vain babbling that so many people accept as “wisdom” in this world, which is indeed in the grip of the adversary, something that Father Baur pointed out in his reflection for today’s antiphon, “O Root of Jesse”:

“Come to deliver us and tarry not.” The world cries out for Christ its King, who shall cast out the Prince of this world (John 12:31). The prince of this world established his power over men as a result of original sin. He exercises his lordship very efficiently, and has led man men into apostasy and idolatry, and has brought them into the temples where he himself is adored. He even dared to approach our Lord, after His fast of forty days in the desert to tempt Him to fall down before him and adore him. Even after we had been delivered from the servitude of Satan through the death of Christ on the cross, the prince of this world attempts to exercise his power over us. “The devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about seeking whom he may devour” (1 Pet. 5:8). Like a bird of prey he hovers above us waiting for a favorable opportunity to seize us and to lead us into sin. Often enough he transforms “himself into an angel of light” (1 Cor. 11:14). The sworn enemy and adversary of Christ and of all that is good, he devotes his entire energy and his great intelligence to the task of establishing a kingdom of sin and darkness which is opposed to God and to Christianity.

Satan establishes his power over deluded over men in a way that is perfectly obvious. When he has gained control over the body of man, he uses it for his own purposes, as though it were he who actually controls and animates the body in place of the human soul. He often exerts his influence over men by harassing them and hindering them by his external works, as is so evident in the lives of some holy men and women. In these trying times, when faith in Christ and in God has largely disappeared, when the propaganda of a pagan culture is broadcast everywhere, and the forces of evil and falsehood rise up to cast God from His throne, who does not feel the power of the devil? Does it not appear that we are approaching that time when Satan will be released from the depths of hell to work his wonders and mislead, if possible, even the elect? (Apoc. 20:2; Matt. 24:24.)

Catholics are never without hope!

Catholics hope in Christ the King and in the Revelation He has entrusted to His true Church as they rely upon the maternal intercession of the Mediatrix of All Graces, she who is our very “life, our sweetness, and our hope,” to help us to live in such a way in this life so as to be prepared at all times to die in a state of Sanctifying Grace as a member of the Catholic Church and thus adore God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost in the unending Easter Sunday of glory in Heaven that the Newborn Christ the King came to win for us on the wood of the Holy Cross.

We must cry out for Christ the King in the midst of the madness of these times.

We must make reparation for our sins, including our own sins of indifference or lukewarness towards—if not outright rejection of—the necessity of viewing everything in the world through the eyes of true Faith at all times and without any exception whatsoever.

We must make use of this holy week of Our Lady’s Expectation to pray her Most Holy Rosary, especially the Joyful Mysteries, with renewed fervor and with the authentic Supernatural Virtue of Hope that our souls will be prepared properly for the celebration of the Nativity the Baby Jesus on Christmas Day, and that they will be disposed to receive Him in Holy Communion with renewed fervor, purity, and devotion.

Appendix A

Father Benedict Baur on "O Divine Wisdom"

“O Wisdom, who camest out of the mouth of the Most High, reaching from end to end and ordering all things mightily and sweetly, come to teach us the way of prudence.”

O Wisdom! The Savior whom we shall find as a weak babe in the crib is the Wisdom which from eternity proceeds from the Father. The eternal Wisdom which comes to us in the person of the Savior, has devised everything that is: heaven and earth, angels and men, matter and spirit, the entire universe. It has formed all creatures and given them their outward form and their place in the order of creation. It has fixed the wonderful order of nature, and it governs its laws. The power of this gentle and mighty Spirit has its eternal designs upon the world and pervades and governs all that exists. Eternal Wisdom, resting as a child in the lap of Thy mother, I believe in Thee. How great Thou art in the works of Thy creation, how wonderful is the order of Thy universe, how merciful in the work of redemption, how sublimely humble in Thy crib, how divinely wise in the teachings of Thy gospel, how provident in the work of Thy holy Church! O divine Wisdom, let me understand Thee!

Divine Wisdom clothes itself in the nature of a man. It conceals itself in the weakness of a child. It chooses for itself, infancy, poverty, obedience, subjection, obscurity. “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the produce of the prudent I will not reject. . . . Appendix B

Father Baur on "O Adonai"

“O Addonai (O almighty God), and leader of the house of Israel, who didst appear to Moses in the burning bush and didst give to him the law on Mount Sinai, come with an outstretched arm to redeem us.”

O Addonai! The Redeemer whom we await was already the Redeemer in the Old Testament. He it was who appeared to Moses in the burning bush in the desert and gave him the commission to lead Israel out of the bondage of Egypt. Through Moses, He wrought great signs in Egypt and rescued His people from the power of the tyranny of the Pharaohs. He led His people with power through the Red Sea and gave them the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. He led them through the desert, provided food and drink, and ushered them into the Promised Land. He appears now also as Redeemer of the Church of the New Law. He is the Savior and guide of those have been baptized in the Church. Little child of the crib, so small, so weak, so silent, how mighty must You be to rescue us from passion, from temptation, and from the power of Satan! We believe in Your power, we trust in the strength of Your arm, we follow with confidence Your leadership and Your guidance.

Thou art He “who didst appear to Moses in the burning bush,” “I have seen the affliction of My people in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of the rigor of them out of the hands of the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, into a land that floweth with milk and honey” (Exod. 3:7f.). Thus spoke the Lord to Moses from the bush which burned but has not been consumed, which is a figure of God’s condescension to assume the weakness of human nature. The human nature of Christ is united to the burning divine nature, and yet it is not consumed.

As Moses approached the burning bush, so we approach the divine Savior in the form of a child in the crib, or in the form of the consecrated host, and falling down we adore Him. “Put off the shoes from thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. . . . I am who am” (Exod. 3:5, 14).

O Adonai, almighty God! Mighty in the weakness of a child, and in the helplessness of the Crucified! Thou, almighty God, mighty in the wonders that Thou hast worked. Mighty in guiding, sustaining, and developing Thy Church! “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). Thou art mighty in the healing and redemption of souls, mighty in Thy love for us, who are so unworthy of Thy love. Instant are Thou in mercy, and all-sufficient in every need. Come and save us.

“Come with an outstretched arm to redeem us.” This is the cry of the Church for the second coming of Christ on the last day. The return of the Saviour brings us plentiful redemption. “Come, ye blessed of My Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you” (Matt. 25:34).  (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World,  Volume I, “O Adonai,” pp. 79-80.)

Father Baur on "O Root of Jesse"

“O Root of Jesse, who standest as an ensign of the people, before whom kings keep silence and the Gentiles shall make supplication, come to deliver us and tarry not.”

Christ the King, the Lord! Divine Wisdom, Adonai, the powerful God, is at the same time man with flesh and blood at the house of Jesse, the father of King David. The glory that once clothed the royal family has faded and withered, leaving only a blighted and withered root. But from this root is to spring a glorious blossom, the King of the world. “He shall rule from sea to sea and from river unto the ends of the earth. Before Him the Ethiopians shall fall down and His enemies shall lick the ground. The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall serve Him” (Ps. 71:8-11). To Him God has said, “Thou art My Son. . . . I will give Thee the Gentiles for Thy inheritance, and the utmost parts of the earth for Thy possession” (Ps. 2:7 f.).

“He shall be great. . . . and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of David, His father, and He shall reign in the house of Jacob forever. And of His kingdom there shall be no end” (Luke 1:32. f.). In the face of Roman power He shall declare, “I am a King” (John 18:37). On the throne of the cross they shall proclaim His kingship in the three universal languages of the time: “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews” (John 19:19). He will send forth apostles, for all power is given Him “in heaven and in earth. Going, therefore, teach ye all nations, . . . . teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt. 29: 18-20). Before Him a Herod, a Domitian, and a Diocletian shall tremble. A Julian will be obliged to confess, “Galilean, Thou hast conquered.”

He will establish His kingdom in the world, a kingdom of truth, of justice, and of grace. He who was cast off by men and fastened to the cross, will make that cross a throne. The Lord rules as a king from His cross. He is remembered gratefully and loved by millions who leave all earthly things, father and mother and all else, to follow Him. They devote their health, their life, even their blood, to His service. Root of Jesse. Thou standest as an ensign of the nations, and kings are silent in reverence before Thee.

(Apoc. 20:2; Matt. 24:24.)

“Come, tarry not.” Observe not how thoroughly the world of today has submitted to the reign of Satan. Mankind has abandoned the search for what is good and holy. Loyalty, justice, freedom, love, and mutual trust are no longer highly regarded. Establish, O God, Thy kingdom among us, a kingdom established upon truth, justice, and peace. “Come, tarry not.” “Thy kingdom come.” (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World, Volume I, B. Herder Book Company, 1954. pp. 81-82.)
