A World Filled with Guilty Consciences
The wit and wisdom late Gilbert Keith Chesterton can never be mistaken with the malapropisms of the late Lawrence Peter Berra. However, the famous defender of Catholic truth and the Hall of Fame catcher who managed both the incarnation of all evil in the world, the New York Yankees, and the New York Mets in the World Series nine years apart, do have one thing in common: both have been quoted as writing or saying things that they never wrote or said.
One of the quotes most frequently misattributed to Chesterton goes something along the lines of “When men cease to believe in God they will believe in anything.”
Relying upon the work of an Zambian Chesterton scholar, the American Chesterton Society explained the two sources of this misattributed quotation:
More plausibly, Robin Rader of Zambia argued that the epigram can be found divided between two adjacent Father Brown stories:
It’s the first effect of not believing in God that you lose your common sense. [“The Oracle of the Dog” (1923)]
You hard-shelled materialists were all balanced on the very edge of belief — of belief in almost anything. [“The Miracle of Moon Crescent” (1924)] (The American Chesterton Society.)
Well, we are indeed in an age where men have lost common sense and thus believe in anything:
The proposal that would let students in Delaware as young as 5 choose their own race and gender-identity – without approval from their parents – has sparked a bitter battle in the First State.
On one side are parents who say they want a more welcoming climate for their transgender or non-binary children. On the other side are parents who say the proposal infringes on their basic parental rights.
Under Regulation 225, schools would be required to provide access to facilities and activities that are consistent with a student's gender identity—regardless of the child's sex at birth. That includes bathrooms, locker rooms, team sports and adhering to the child's preferred name. Under the proposal, students could also choose their own race.
What has rankled some parents is that the new regulation does not require schools to inform parents of the child’s decision. Instead, the policy advises administrators to assess the child’s well-being before disclosing the information to the child’s parents.
While a growing number of states are imposing rules to protect transgender students, Delaware’s proposed rules go further – letting a child decide, even if the parent disagrees with the decision.
"The regulation isn't about keeping a secret, it's about what's in the best interest of the child," said Mark Purpura, president of Equality Delaware. "The reality is there are children living in fear who do not feel comfortable coming out to their parents as gay or transgender."
ut some say this is yet another example of government overreach. They say parents should be involved in making such a critical decision involving their children.
"I would be livid if the school allowed my daughter to make such a significant decision without me," said Terri Hodges, president of the Delaware PTA and committee member.
Hodges said she does not oppose the regulation but feels that alienating parents is not the right way to carry it out.
"I want to protect children,” she said, “but we can't pick and choose when to engage parents."
The state's proposal drew more than 11,000 public comments in the form of letters, emails and online submissions— the majority opposing the new rule.
If approved, the regulation would protect 19 characteristics—protections that expert David Cohen, professor of law at Drexel University, said are not represented in the current federal anti-discrimination policy.
"Title IX does not explicitly cover gender,” said Cohen. “All it talks about is sex discrimination – and not every court, administrator or administration interprets gender identity as sex."
Delaware's governor, John Carney, felt strongly that more could be done to protect students from bullying and discrimination, and in 2017 urged the DDOE to enact a policy.
But last month at the committee’s final public meeting, a crowd of more than 250 people packed the auditorium of Delaware Technical Community College to express their opposition.
Delaware State Rep. Rich Collins, R-Millsboro, said the proposed regulation is onerous, excessive and confusing. He said the current anti-discrimination policy is concise and efficient, and replacing it with a multi-page regulation is a distraction.
"This is taking our eye off the ball," Collins said. "We have one school that has a 3-percent math proficiency and there are issues educating our kids [across the state]."
But Andrea Rashbaum, a parent of a transgender child, said parents can't expect a child to learn if they don't feel safe.
We have to take these worries off their plates," Rashbaum said. "Similar to how hungry children can't perform, a child who feels unheard and misunderstood can't focus on reading or math scores."
Rashbaum believes that a state regulation would put every child on an even playing field.
"Right now gender and race identification are handled on a school-by-school basis," Rashbaum said. "One school will help a child grow to have dignity and the other less educated school [in the same district] can squash a child's self-worth."
If approved, Delaware would be among 18 states and the District of Columbia who have implemented anti-harassment regulations based on gender identification and sexual orientation.
Delaware is one of the first states to draft a proposal to explicitly acknowledge gender identification in schools as a protected characteristic, and violators – it’s unclear if would target teachers or administrators – could be prosecuted.
After a public hearing period, the Department of Education will approve or deny the regulation. (Delaware May Let Stduents Choose Their Own Race and/or Gender Without Parental Consent.)
Yes, men will believe in anything when they disbelieve the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, and the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. Everything else in society must fall apart, including simple common sense.
Common sense alone can inform rational human beings that one has as much ability to “change” his race or gender as they do to “change” their age. Race, gender and age are matters of objective facts, and objective facts do not depend upon human acceptance for their binding force or validity. Neither parents nor their children, whether acting arbitrarily or collaboratively, have anything to “decide” about race, gender or age.
For example, although Federal regulations require anyone claiming to be a Native American to have active ties to a tribe and tribal ceremonies, Pocahontas helped her academic career by claiming to have Cherokee heritage, thus “qualifying” for “affirmative action” preferences on the basis of her supposed race and her gender. Given this precedent, therefore, I should have identified myself as a “Native American” as my late mother’s race is listed as “American Indian” on both her marriage and death certificates.
Oh, I joked about doing so in the 1970s when “affirmative action” was being used as the basis of providing preferences in student admission and faculty hiring and promotion, telling my students at Illinois State University between 1977-1979 that I could claim to be a member of the Polish Sioux. I then held up my right hand in the gesture of a greeting used by Harry J. Smith (aka Jay Silverheels) and said, intoning the voice of Tonto, “Howski. Me Polish Sioux.” (Please, no letters.) Given the heightened “sensitivities” that govern our world of Judeo-Masonic irrationality and emotionalism today, of course, anything saying such a thing now would be fired on the spot. We have lost our common sense and we have lost any collective sense of humor.
Wait. It gets worse:
The word change on Pennsylvania birth certificates may have been overlooked by parents in the joy and excitement of welcoming a baby into this world in recent months, but it sure is getting some attention now.
No longer does this legal document identify the child's mother as "mother" or his or her father as "father." Instead, they are now each identified as "parent."
It's a change made on birth certificates for babies born since August "to include all families and reflect the fact that same-sex marriage is the law of the land in Pennsylvania," said Gov. Tom Wolf's spokesman J.J. Abbott.
"Governor Wolf continues to support making government more respectful of all families and will continue to ensure state government treats all families with the dignity that they deserve."
The health department, the state's repository for vital records, says the law gives it the responsibility of designing the forms for vital records and spokeswoman April Hutcheson said, "it has fulfilled that obligation."
But House State Government Committee Chairman Daryl Metcalfe, R-Butler County, along with 24 Republican colleagues, take a different view.
In a letter sent to Wolf on Thursday, they accuse the Wolf Administration of acting without legislative approval in making this change and therefore, is in violation of the law.
The law calls for "mother and father to be on the birth certificate, not parent and parent," Metcalfe said. "They are doing nobody any good by pushing their social agenda through changing birth certificates for all the many babies born since August. Every baby has a mother and a father. They don't have two parents that are not of the opposite sex."
Michael Geer, president of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, agrees the purpose of a birth certificate is to document "key realities at the time of a baby's birth," namely a time and date stamp, where the birth occurred and the name of "the mother and father physically responsible for the existence of the baby -- since every child comes from a male and a female. Original birth certificates should retain this record for historical and medical records purposes," he said.
But Molly Tack-Hooper, a staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania argues misgendering a child's same-sex parents on a birth certificate is a form of sex discrimination and unacceptable in her organization's eyes.
The ACLU began talking to health department officials about changing the wording on birth certificates since shortly after the May 20, 2014, court ruling that struck down Pennsylvania's ban on same-sex marriage. They said it was a cause of confusion for same-sex couples and demeaning as well. The organization worked with the department to develop guidance for hospitals on how to handle same-sex couples having a baby and followed it up with a FAQ.
While the ACLU didn't threaten a lawsuit as the lawmakers suggested in their letter is what prompted the department to make the word change, she said if the department took that from its conversations with her that would be understandable.
"A parent is accurate for every parent," Tack-Hooper said. "The fact that Representative Metcalfe would prefer everyone to be gendered does not mean that is how it should be. I am thrilled Pennsylvania is no longer misgendering parents and has brought their system into the 21st century."
Leanne Magee of Philadelphia recalls how stressful it was when she and her same-sex partner filled out paperwork as they were about leave the hospital with their newborn son, who is now 3-and-a-half years old. They crossed out "father" and wrote in "mother" beside it but that was not accepted by the hospital staff. She ended up leaving her partner's name listed as father.
"It's a total misrepresentation of the parenting relationship," Magee said. "It's such a physical and tangible reminder of how unequal we are despite the marriage equality ruling."
Now hearing of lawmakers' opposition to the new wording on birth certificates "seems like such a hateful place to dig in," Magee said. "It just seems interesting there would be legislators who prefer an inaccurate piece of legal documentation over something that's accurate."
While the health department told PennLive it cost $43,425 to make the change on the birth certificate form, Metcalfe, who hasn't yet received an official response to the letter that was sent to Wolf, said the department told him it spent millions of dollars on it.
That is money that he believes would have been better spent on dealing with the backlog of vital records requests, particularly at this time when people are trying to obtain the official raised seal birth certificate they need to obtain a real ID.
John Dawes of Equality PA, a civil rights group representing the state's LGBTQ community, said Metcalfe is making this about cost when he really favors "actively discriminating against and taking away rights of LGBT parents."
Metcalfe said his views about same-sex couples is not the issue here.
"I'm really a little discouraged when I hear people who advocate for the homosexual agenda would actually come out and support the governor taking an action that is not ultimately allowed under the statute," Metcalfe said. "I think every citizen ought to be offended when an elected official does not uphold and defend the constitution they've sworn to and does not operate within the confines of the law. That is the foundation of the argument against this." (Hello, Parent, Hello Parent, which means that the late Allan Sherman would have had to correct Hello, Muddah, Hello, Faddah)
This is madness, but it is madness prophesied by our true popes, including Pope Pius IX, who wrote the following in Quanta Cura, December 8, 1864:
For you well know, venerable brethren, that at this time men are found not a few who, applying to civil society the impious and absurd principle of "naturalism," as they call it, dare to teach that "the best constitution of public society and (also) civil progress altogether require that human society be conducted and governed without regard being had to religion any more than if it did not exist; or, at least, without any distinction being made between the true religion and false ones." And, against the doctrine of Scripture, of the Church, and of the Holy Fathers, they do not hesitate to assert that "that is the best condition of civil society, in which no duty is recognized, as attached to the civil power, of restraining by enacted penalties, offenders against the Catholic religion, except so far as public peace may require." From which totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity," viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way." But, while they rashly affirm this, they do not think and consider that they are preaching "liberty of perdition;" and that "if human arguments are always allowed free room for discussion, there will never be wanting men who will dare to resist truth, and to trust in the flowing speech of human wisdom; whereas we know, from the very teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, how carefully Christian faith and wisdom should avoid this most injurious babbling." (Pope Pius IX, Quanta Cura, December 8, 1864.)
Behold the insanity and the fatal effects of “liberty of conscience and worship." Injurious babbling must replace even common sense on the merely natural level as well as to eradicate the resistance of believing Catholics to absurdities and moral perversities. Indeed, conciliarism itself is a vessel of the adversary not only to break down the resistance of Catholics to moral perversity but to celebrate it an expression of “love.”
It stands to reason that Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Governor Thomas Wolf, a Methodist turned Episcopalian, should pay no attention to the constitution and the statutes of the commonwealth he heads when he so arrogantly defies the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law as one who is but a product of the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic world in which we live. He is simply one of a veritable legion of public officials in both organized crime families of naturalism’s false opposites who are governed by the desire to make hardened sinners feel “good” about themselves and to assure that no one can ever make them fee “uncomfortable” by exhorting them to repent of their sins and to amend their lives.
This is important to remember as the homosexual collective has successfully mainstreamed its agenda after years of culturally conditionally otherwise sensible human beings into accepting perversity as neither abnormal nor harmful. The high priests and priestesses of entertainment, the “healthcare industry,” education and law have executed one of the most skillful propaganda campaigns in human history to convince people that evil acts are matters of “human rights” and “love.” Politicians of both major political parties in the United States of America have waved the rainbow flag as a sign of their support and obeisance.
Truth be told, of course, most, although far, far from all, of the heightened “sensitivities” revolve around the absurdity of mainstreaming the sin of Sodom as a “human right” that must be accepted without question. Those who dissent are guilty of “hate” and/or “bullying.” Such accusations are absurd on their face as it is those who are steeped in unrepentant sins of perversity against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments who hate God, His Ten Commandments and His Holy Church—and thus hate human beings who discharge the duties required by the Spiritual Works of Mercy to admonish sinners.
Moreover, anyone who is steeped in an unrepented Mortal Sin of any kind—but especially of the vice of Sodom—hates himself as his every nature has been made to know, love and serve God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order. Self-hating sinners who do not believe that they must get right with God by making a good, integral confession of their sins to a true priest will wind up truly bullying anyone who pricks their consciences, something that Saint Paul the Apostle noted in his Epistle to the Romans:
For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them. (Romans 1: 18-32.)
Practically every aspect of social life today is in the control of those who support the agenda of the homosexual collective, whose “enforcers” are engaged in the sort of legal extortion by which the likes of Jesse Louis Jackson and Alfred Charles Sharpton, Jr., shook down corporate executives for donations to, respectively, the Rainbow Coalition/Operation Push and the National Action Network in the face of subtle threats of organized economic boycotts of their companies’ product or services. The surrender of corporate America to the thugs of the homosexual collective has been so complete that any employee who “dissents” from today’s “received wisdom” works in an environment of fear of slipping on a verbal or even non-verbal (facial gesture, rolling of the ears, blank stare, frown, etc.) signal that is said to “threaten” another employee, thus making that person feel “unsafe.”
Former Governor of Arkansas Michael Dale Huckabee is one of the latest prominent figures to fall victim to the homosexual collective as he has been removed from the board of the Country Music Association Foundationbecause of his opposition to “marriage equality”:
Former Arkansas Gov. and GOP presidential contender Mike Huckabee – long an advocate for music and the arts – was forced to resign from the Country Music Association Foundation Board Thursday, less than a day after being appointed, because of backlash against his conservative views.
Country music, once an inclusive industry that welcomed conservatives and people of faith, has now become an exclusive, politically correct group, indistinguishable from the rest of the entertainment industry.
The message country music fans received this week is that if you share Huckabee’s conservative political views there’s no room for you in country music.
The Country Music Association Foundation encourages kids to pursue music by helping students get involved in music programs and providing access to instruments. Huckabee used to showcase country music stars on his Fox News Channel show and play bass guitar with the stars he featured. He credits music for giving him confidence as a kid and for a lot of success in life. (Huckabee Booted Off Country Music Association Board.)
The poor former Baptist minister Huckabee is clueless about a lot of things, starting with the fact that he knows nothing about how to follow Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as he belongs to a heretical sect. The “country music” he loves so much and has played for most of his life has long celebrated immorality (adultery, fornication, divorce). It is thus quite logical for those in control of country music industry to become captive to the lavender agenda. Nothing can be done to offend the sensibilities of customers, including having one who is opposed to perverse acts of impurity serve on the board of its foundation.
Far from being a preserve of “conservative and religious values,” country-western music, infused in the past fifty or sixty years with the beat of “rock” noise and its own mutations, has been in the vanguard of gross immodesty of attire, indecency and the celebration of every manner of immorality, and its “religious” genre is shaped by the lies of Protestantism. Michael Dale Huckabee, who is deceived about so many things, suffers from a lifelong deception about “country music” that has now claimed him as a victim to the corporate high priests and priestesses who march in lockstep with the homosexual collective.
Indeed, small business owners, such as bakers and photogaphers/videographers, have been targeted by sodomite activists to force them to violate their consciences or to be put out of business entirely after faced with massive fines by local and/or state “human rights commissions.” Freedom? An illusion. A pure illusion as no one is morally free to do that which is proscribed by the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law, but those who profess to be the champions of “individual liberty” believe they have the right to use civil law to compel others to applaud them as they rebel against God and thus bring ruin down upon themselves and their nations.
The “culture war,” which was fought by “conservatives” on secular terms, is over. It has been won by so-called “progressives,” who have used brute intimidation coupled with an absolute refusal to compromise to work their collective will on the populace. Naturalism of one kind can never retard naturalism of another kind. This is really very simple to understand. The incremental progress of evil is a tool that the devil uses to convince anyone trying to fight it that is better to accept “little” concessions to evil here and there in the belief that they are better off because they are not being forced by the coercive power of the civil state to make greater concessions at all once.
Pope Leo XIII explained that people who live under regimes that permit liberty of worship and conscience will be tolerant of greater evils eventually after they learned how tolerate lesser gradations evil over the course of time. Pope Leo XIII made a distinction in Libertas Praestantissimum, June 20, 1888, between tolerating such false liberties to preserve Hoy Mother Church’s ability to teach and sanctify her children and a gradual acceptance of greater evils in the name of “toleration”:
33. Yet, with the discernment of a true mother, the Church weighs the great burden of human weakness, and well knows the course down which the minds and actions of men are in this our age being borne. For this reason, while not conceding any right to anything save what is true and honest, she does not forbid public authority to tolerate what is at variance with truth and justice, for the sake of avoiding some greater evil, or of obtaining or preserving some greater good. God Himself in His providence, though infinitely good and powerful, permits evil to exist in the world, partly that greater good may not be impeded, and partly that greater evil may not ensue. In the government of States it is not forbidden to imitate the Ruler of the world; and, as the authority of man is powerless to prevent every evil, it has (as St. Augustine says) to overlook and leave unpunished many things which are punished, and rightly, by Divine Providence.[10] But if, in such circumstances, for the sake of the common good (and this is the only legitimate reason), human law may or even should tolerate evil, it may not and should not approve or desire evil for its own sake; for evil of itself, being a privation of good, is opposed to the common welfare which every legislator is bound to desire and defend to the best of his ability. In this, human law must endeavor to imitate God, who, as St. Thomas teaches, in allowing evil to exist in the world, "neither wills evil to be done, nor wills it not to be done, but wills only to permit it to be done; and this is good.''[11] This saying of the Angelic Doctor contains briefly the whole doctrine of the permission of evil.
34. But, to judge aright, we must acknowledge that, the more a State is driven to tolerate evil, the further is it from perfection; and that the tolerance of evil which is dictated by political prudence should be strictly confined to the limits which its justifying cause, the public welfare, requires. Wherefore, if such tolerance would be injurious to the public welfare, and entail greater evils on the State, it would not be lawful; for in such case the motive of good is wanting. And although in the extraordinary condition of these times the Church usually acquiesces in certain modern liberties, not because she prefers them in themselves, but because she judges it expedient to permit them, she would in happier times exercise her own liberty; and, by persuasion, exhortation, and entreaty would endeavor, as she is bound, to fulfill the duty assigned to her by God of providing for the eternal salvation of mankind. One thing, however, remains always true -- that the liberty which is claimed for all to do all things is not, as We have often said, of itself desirable, inasmuch as it is contrary to reason that error and truth should have equal rights.
35. And as to tolerance, it is surprising how far removed from the equity and prudence of the Church are those who profess what is called liberalism. For, in allowing that boundless license of which We have spoken, they exceed all limits, and end at last by making no apparent distinction between truth and error, honesty and dishonesty. And because the Church, the pillar and ground of truth, and the unerring teacher of morals, is forced utterly to reprobate and condemn tolerance of such an abandoned and criminal character, they calumniate her as being wanting in patience and gentleness, and thus fail to see that, in so doing, they impute to her as a fault what is in reality a matter for commendation. But, in spite of all this show of tolerance, it very often happens that, while they profess themselves ready to lavish liberty on all in the greatest profusion, they are utterly intolerant toward the Catholic Church, by refusing to allow her the liberty of being herself free. (Pope Leo XIII, Libertas Praestantissimum, June 20, 1888.)
Such is the case today as those who claim to be the guardians of “liberty” and “toleration” are the most intolerant bigots on the face of the earth, and career politicians in the organized crime family of the naturalist “right” have taken notice. Indeed, they took notice in the immediate aftermath of the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges, June 26, 2015:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage.
In an interview Tuesday night on Kentucky television station WDRB, McConnell restated that he still holds to the traditional view of marriage.
"I’ve always felt that marriage is between one man and one woman and the Supreme Court has held otherwise. That’s the law of the land," the Kentucky Republican said.
When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: "I don’t think so. I think the courts have pretty well spoken."
However, McConnell said he is now concerned about "the potential problems with regard to religious liberty."
There are number of institutions, which in practicing their religion, may run up against this," which he predicts will result "in a lot of additional litigation, as this decision is weighed against the strongly held religious beliefs of a number of Americans."
The Senate leader said that lawmakers will be looking to see "if religious liberty needs to be enhanced by statute."
Following the Supreme Court decisions on gay marriage and Obamacare, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said that he is proposing a constitutional amendment subjecting Supreme Court justices "to periodic judicial-retention elections."
But McConnell said "it isn't going to pass ... we've only done that 27 times in the history of our country." (Mitch McConnell: Gay Marriage Is ' Law of the Land.)
“The law of the land.”
Well, that was another veritable profile in courage from the imperious Kentuckian.
One can be “personally opposed” to the abomination of “same-sex” marriage while being “reconciled” to the irreversible nature of its institutionalization as a matter of fact and as a matter of a constitutional “right” that was “found” and applied by Associate Justices Anthony McLeod Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan.
Isn’t this the same stunt that many Catholics in the Democratic Party have been using since January 22, 1973, to support the legal fact of the chemical and surgical execution of the innocent preborn despite their alleged “personal opposition.”
It is no wonder, therefore, that the so-called “Conservative Political Action Fund,” better known as CPAC, banned the pro-family organization MassResistance from having a vendor’s booth at its recent convention in suburban Maryland. A different “tone” has been set, one that is libertarian and is thus perfectly at home with those whose perverse sins bring down the wrath of God upon this and other supposedly “civilized” countries in the world:
February 28, 2018 (American Thinker) – MassResistance is a grassroots network of pro-family activists. We started in Massachusetts 25 years ago (as Parents' Rights Coalition), and now have chapters around the country.
We had a rewarding time last October at Family Research Council's Values Voter Summit, so we figured that the American Conservative Union's CPAC 2018 attendees would likewise appreciate receiving our information.
We applied for a booth, were vetted, and approved in late January. Shortly thereafter, we were abruptly disinvited. No convincing reason was given – just some vague statements about our "tone" not being respectful toward our political opponents. You can read the details here.
CPAC's hypocrisy on "tone" is clear in light of its inclusion of the radical LGBT group Log Cabin Republicans for the third year in a row. In 2016, Log Cabinites ran a full-page ad in USA Today coinciding with the Republican Convention, where they slammed the Party's platform committee as "LOSERS" and "MORONS" for defending real marriage. And then there's CPAC's invitation to foul-mouthed "Dangerous Faggot" Milo Yiannopoulos, who was to be its 2017 keynote speaker – until a video emerged wherein he said good things about pederasty.
On top of all that, this year's CPAC auditioned four transgender activists who say they're Republicans. As the next new thing, they got a lot of attention (though they were unofficial participants). While it's likely that other groups wouldn't be allowed to stand for hours with signs in the convention center hallway, this group was not asked to leave. Possibly, they would have been approved for an exhibit table if they'd just coughed up $2,000.
In addition to unfurling their rainbow Gadsden flag ("Don't Tread on Me"), they held little placards reading:
Proud to be Conservative
Proud to be Transgender
Proud to be American
#SameTeam
After a positive story in Newsweek and Slate's interview with the group's organizer, you can be pretty sure they'll be approved at CPAC next year. The American Conservative Union can't appear to be on the wrong side of history.
Someone has to talk to conservatives, said their leader, Jennifer Williams, even though many in the LGBT community wouldn't like them being at CPAC. Williams was giddy at the absence of social conservative groups, including the fact that MassResistance was banned. "There's not even one workshop regarding traditional marriage."
Williams told Slate:
Log Cabin Republicans have been here for three years straight and they've been very controversial in the past. One great thing CPAC did last year was banning Milo Yiannopoulos from coming to speak after everything happened to him, because he's one of the most anti-transgender conservatives out there, supposedly. I don't believe he's a conservative. And then this year they took away Mass Resistance being able to have a booth once they learned about their anti-LGBT views and particularly anti-transgender views, because right now there's a bill in Massachusetts to remove public accommodations. So that growth has been amazing. A lot of it is built by the younger generation, the millennials.
From Newsweek:
Williams says that most CPAC attendees have been accepting of her [sic] and her [sic] fellow activists' presence, with perhaps one out of 30 evincing a negative reaction, such as a thumbs-down gesture. She [sic] believes that acceptance will only increase. "I know," she [sic] says, "we can change hearts and minds."
Williams said in a Twitter interview:
One of the most conservative things you can actually do, if you think about it, is be transgender. Because you're seizing your identity, you're seizing who you are, and saying to the world, "I'm living free as myself, I'm living authentically." I fully believe in limited government, but that limited government extends to not telling people who [sic] they should be married to, or who should they [sic] be.
Well, since it's just about "freedom" and limited government, CPAC will have to let them have a table next year!
Williams clearly wants to change Republican positions on transgenders in the military and on housing and employment discrimination legislation. His question – "What are we gonna do for those three years [remaining in Trump's term]? Wait for an impeachment?" – is a dead giveaway that he is an infiltrator.
It's telling that the college-age trans demonstrator in the group is a member of a relatively new nationwide (nominally conservative) campus group, Turning Point USA. Their motto: "Big Government Sucks." (Nice tone!) The organization bought its "Supporting Sponsor" ticket to CPAC 2018 for a mere $28,000. The big funders like the libertarian approach. "Transgender rights" will fit right in.
Turning Point USA's leader, Charlie Kirk, has said the "gay issue" is dead in the Republican Party and that it's time to move on to bigger things. The group's focus is promoting free-market and limited government principles (i.e., libertarianism). He says the group is also fighting the "culture war," which he defines as promoting free speech and a "diversity of ideas." The one thing that holds Republicans together is "freedom, freedom, freedom," he claims. He welcomes the "sea change" in the party, which is increasingly open to drug legalization and the redefinition of marriage. "Gay marriage...whatever!" (Next year he might say, "Transgender...whatever!") He thinks government can protect social conservatives who have religious objections to LGBT demands without disturbing the attack against marriage or the anti-discrimination laws that lead to persecution.
Yes, we've apparently reached a turning point, where our social stability can go to Hell with the blessing with the increasingly libertarian CPAC. (CPAC "Transitioning".)
Unfortunately for the author, the “turning point” came in the form of the Protestant Revolution. It is very easy to accept moral relativism when one accepts theological relativism’s belief that each believer is his own “interpreter” of Sacred Scripture, meaning that contradictory “opinions” are “true” for those who hold them. Such a witches’ brew of irrationality and illogic started a process of degeneration whose perfections of degeneracy as being demonstrated with great clarity today.
You doubt my word?
Consider the words of Pope Leo XIII in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:
But that harmful and deplorable passion for innovation which was aroused in the sixteenth century threw first of all into confusion the Christian religion, and next, by natural sequence, invaded the precincts of philosophy, whence it spread amongst all classes of society. From this source, as from a fountain-head, burst forth all those later tenets of unbridled license which, in the midst of the terrible upheavals of the last century, were wildly conceived and boldly proclaimed as the principles and foundation of that new conception of law which was not merely previously unknown, but was at variance on many points with not only the Christian, but even the natural law. (Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885.)
The confusion that exists in the minds of most men in the world at this time has, of course, been exacerbated by the apostasies of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which has made its "reconciliation" with the naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian (the belief that human beings can more or less "save themselves" by "stirring up" graces in their own immortal souls) principles of Modernity. Long before conciliarism came to light at the "Second" Vatican Council, however, even the minds of many, if not most, Catholics were deformed as a result of living in a world of pluralism and unfettered "free speech" and "freedom of the press" and "freedom of religion," resulting in most of them accepting the premises of naturalism most uncritically as both natural and normal and as perfectly compatible with the truths of the Catholic Faith.
This is especially true under the reign of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who has, as has been discussed so many times before in the past sixty months since he began sitting in the presidential chair of apostasy, brought the not-so-covert homosexualist agenda synonymous with the Montinian revolution out into the open in order to assure those “bishops” who had been doing so during previous conciliar “popes” that, finally, they can breathe a sigh of relief and proceed as they wish. “Rome” will no longer pose any kind of threat to the way in which they “reach out” to practicing, unrepentant practitioners of perversity and self-mutilation, not they any of those “bishops” ever incurred penalties in the past, of course. However, the threat of such punishment is now gone, and the only conciliar “bishops” who need to fear Jorge’s legendary wrath are the ones who oppose what can be called the further “queering” of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
Most of the ordinary Catholics who are still attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have gladly surrendered to the prevailing culture and their “hierarchy’s” “reconciliation" and full-throated celebration of it.
This surrender has not gone unnoticed by the lords of the false opposite of the naturalist right, which is why Donald John Trump’s own support for the lavender agenda has been met, at least for the most part, with the same sort of studied silence from many of his supporters just as many in the “resist while recognize” movement who had called Joseph Alois Ratzinger a heretic before his “election” on April 19, 2005, learned to be quiet about his heresies, blasphemies and sacrileges committed as “Pope Benedict XVI” because they were grateful to him for the issuance of Summorum Pontificum, July 7, 2007.
Nonetheless, however, the fact remains that Donald John Trump has surrounded himself with homosexuals throughout his business career, and he was guided in the early part of that career by the sodomite Talmudist named Roy Cohn. He is, as he termed himself with Lesley Stahl in a 60 Minutes interview that aired on Sunday, November 13, 2016, a “supporter.” Trump's election and his presidency, impeded as it continues to be by the agents of deep state, thus far are said to have "transformed" the Republican Party. This is very true, but an important part of this transformation is a silent acceptance of the rights of those steeped in the sin of Sodom and its related vices.
Here is a review of his statements and actions in support of sodomites and their agenda, starting with the statement he issued after the Orlando, Florida, nightclub massacre on Sunday, June 13, 2016, and including statements he made later during the general election campaign against Madame Defarge, aka Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton:
We express our deepest sympathies to the victims, the wounded, and their families. We mourn as one people for our nation’s loss, and pledge our support to any and all who need it. I would like to ask now that we all observe a moment of silence for the victims of this attack.
Thank you. Our nation stands together in solidarity with the members of Orlando’s LGBT community. They have been through something that nobody could ever experience. This is a very dark moment in America’s history. A radical Islamic terrorist targeted the nightclub, not only because he wanted to kill Americans, but in order to execute gay and lesbian citizens, because of their sexual orientation.
It’s a strike at the heart and soul of who we are as a nation. It’s an assault on the ability of free people to live their lives, love who they want, and express their identity. It’s an attack on the right of every single American to live in peace and safety in their own country. (Donald John Trump's Remark on the Orlando Shooting.)
Moreover, it must be mentioned that the man who believes in statist security measures that violate the privacy of innocent citizens and who believes that what is best for businesses will "make America great again" expressed has expressed his true beliefs about those steeped in perversity on a number of occasions.
All right, you asked for it:
Lesley Stahl: One of the groups that’s expressing fear are the LGBTQ group. You--
Donald Trump: And yet I mentioned them at the Republican National Convention. And--
Lesley Stahl: You did.
Donald Trump: Everybody said, “That was so great.” I have been, you know, I’ve been-a supporter.
Lesley Stahl: Well, I guess the issue for them is marriage equality. Do you support marriage equality?
Donald Trump: It-- it’s irrelevant because it was already settled. It’s law. It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done.
Lesley Stahl: So even if you appoint a judge that--
Donald Trump: It’s done. It-- you have-- these cases have gone to the Supreme Court. They’ve been settled. And, I’m fine with that. (60 Minutes Interview With Donald Trump and Family.)
Please note that Donald John Trump is very sanguine about so-called “marriage equality,” calling himself a “supporter” of the “LGTBQ” agenda. A supporter, something that he indicated very clearly in his acceptance address at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, on Thursday, July 21, 2016:
“49 wonderful Americans were savagely murdered by an Islamic terrorist. This time, the terrorist targeted LGBTQ community – no good and we're going to stop it.
As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology – beleive me.”
And as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said. Thank you. (Donald John Trump Acceptance Address, Republican National Convention, Cleveland, Ohio July 21, 2016.)
Donald John Trump considers that one can base his identity by his willful decision commit and to persist in the commission of sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, a a belief that he shares with many of the conciliar revolutionaries, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who is otherwise at odds with the new president on almost every other issue.
Remember also this important post at Call Me Jorge just before November 8, 2016, presidential election:
This is just one facet of the insecure narcissist, Donald Trump. There is much more to the man which is better left to writing about if he is elected — his connections to Likud, the Jewish Russian mafia, the New York mob, key 9/11 players, etc...
If Trump is elected, will he get his wall? It’s doubtful but who knows. One thing which will happen is the alchemical transformation of the right into a pro-zionist, pro-pedophile, and pro-homosexual party as is currently being done in Europe. Another trend which will continue is the growth to epic proportions of the panopticon which laughably calls itself the most free country in the world. (Call Me Jorge.)
Not important?
Says who?
Not Christ the King.
Some might protest that the president is at least trying to buttress “religious liberty” protections for those who are opposed to agenda of the homosexual collective, especially by the people he is nominating to serve on the Federal bench. This, though, is quite a slippery slope as, while conceding full well that most of his judicial nominees have been worthy ones, it is “religious liberty” and “liberty of conscience” that got us into this mess in a land where neither Christ the King nor His true Church are obeyed and honored in all that pertains to the good of souls.
Additionally, Trump, has kept in place one his predecessor’s executive orders forbidding “workplace” discrimination against those who base their human identity the proclivity to commit one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance:
President Donald J. Trump Will Continue to Enforce Executive Order Protecting the Rights of the LGBTQ Community in the Workplace
President Donald J. Trump is determined to protect the rights of all Americans, including the LGBTQ community. President Trump continues to be respectful and supportive of LGBTQ rights, just as he was throughout the election. The President is proud to have been the first ever GOP nominee to mention the LGBTQ community in his nomination acceptance speech, pledging then to protect the community from violence and oppression. The executive order signed in 2014, which protects employees from anti-LGBTQ workplace discrimination while working for federal contractors, will remain intact at the direction of President Donald J. Trump. (Trump Will Contine Executive Order Protecting Those Steeped in Perversion and Deviancy.)
We have compromised for so long on the chemical and surgical execution of babies that it is considered to be a “victory” to be able to hold—and in some limited circumstances speak about—beliefs that the “mainstream” want to proscribe entirely in order not to have guilty consciences pricked.
Such a “victory” is hollow as all the forces of Modernity and Modernism are arrayed in a diabolical coalition at this time against all truth, supernatural and natural. It is only a matter of time before the surrender of the corporate world to the agenda long promoted by the entertainment industry and professional miseducators will be imposed by the brute force of the civil state once and for all. Presidents come and presidents go. Judges come and judges go. The wreckage of a world shaped by Protestantism and Judeo-Masonry and enabled by the lords of Modernism is not going to be retarded by means merely natural.
Yes, even though Madame Defarge was defeated in an honestly contested election despite the gargantuan and far-reaching efforts of deep state’s Robert Mueller to overturn it, many of the evils that she would have advanced are now fully institutionalized in a world filled with guilty consciences that will not rest until everyone is forced to become accessories to sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance even if only by silent acquiescence for fear of losing employment or being stigmatized as a “hater.”
No country has ever been able to legislate or adjudicate itself out of a chastisement.
The lesson read in Holy Mass for the Third Sunday of Lent teaches us very clearly that fornicators and those who are unclean will never enter Heaven:
Brethren: Be imitators of God, as very dear children and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and delivered Himself up for us an offering and a sacrifice to God to ascend in fragrant odor. But immorality and every uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becomes saints; or obscenity or foolish talk or scurrility, which are out of place; but rather thanksgiving. For know this and understand, that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous one - for that is idolatry - has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one lead you astray with empty words; for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience. Do not, then, become partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk, then, as children of light, for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and justice and truth. (Ephesians 5: 1-9.)
Similarly, Saint Jude’s Epistle, written, of course, under the direct inspiration of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, speaks directly of this time of apostasy and betrayal that God has given unto us to be the moment to serve Him the consecrated slaves of His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Divine Son, Christ the King, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary:
[1] Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James: to them that are beloved in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called.[2] Mercy unto you, and peace, and charity be fulfilled. [3] Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. [4] For certain men are secretly entered in, (who were written of long ago unto this judgment,) ungodly men, turning the grace of our Lord God into riotousness, and denying the only sovereign Ruler, and our Lord Jesus Christ. [5] I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not:
[6] And the angels who kept not their principality, but forsook their own habitation, he hath reserved under darkness in everlasting chains, unto the judgment of the great day. [7] As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire. [8] In like manner these men also defile the flesh, and despise dominion, and blaspheme majesty. [9] When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee. [10] But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted.
[11] Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain: and after the error of Balaam they have for reward poured out themselves, and have perished in the contradiction of Core. [12] These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water, which are carried about by winds, trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots, [13] Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own confusion; wandering stars, to whom the storm of darkness is reserved for ever. [14] Now of these Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying: Behold, the Lord cometh with thousands of his saints, [15] To execute judgment upon all, and to reprove all the ungodly for all the works of their ungodliness, whereby they have done ungodly, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against God.
[16] These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain' s sake. [17] But you, my dearly beloved, be mindful of the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, [18] Who told you, that in the last time there should come mockers, walking according to their own desires in ungodlinesses. [19]These are they, who separate themselves, sensual men, having not the Spirit. [20] But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
[21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting. [22] And some indeed reprove, being judged: [23] But others save, pulling them out of the fire. And on others have mercy, in fear, hating also the spotted garment which is carnal. [24] Now to him who is able to preserve you without sin, and to present you spotless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, [25] To the only God our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and magnificence, empire and power, before all ages, and now, and for all ages of ages. Amen. (Jude 1-25.)
Yes, there are blasphemers and mockers amongst us in the twin, interrelated worlds of Modernity and Modernism, and the more that men sin unrepentantly—and have their sins enabled by others and protected by the civil—will be the more than they and their nations must suffer worse punishments than have we have seen thus far. Nations must fall into chaos and the violence that ensues from it when men have daily offending God without seeking to amend their lives and to make reparation for their sins.
Today’s Divine Office includes passages from a book about Joseph, the holy patriarch, who was a model of chastity and self-restraint, that was written by Saint Ambrose:
The lives of the saints are the models for the lives of others. This is one of the reasons why we have been given the wise tale of the Scriptures, that while, by reading therein, we come to know Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and others of the righteous, we may follow them in that path of innocency which is opened to us for our imitation by the record of their godly conversation. Of them I have often treated, and today the story of the holy Joseph cometh before me. In that story there are patterns of many virtues, but chiefly is he glorious on account of his clean living. Right is it then that ye who have learnt in Abraham the devotedness of a faith that nothing could daunt, in Isaac the transparency of an upright soul, in Jacob a wonderful patience of spirit in great travails, should now turn from their worthy deeds, to see the bright example of Joseph's self-control.
The holy Joseph is put before us as a pattern of chastity. Modesty shineth in his manners and in his deeds, and a certain loveliness, which is found with chastity, shineth there also. Hence his parents loved him more than their other children. But this love caused him to be the object of an envy, which we must needs not pass by, and upon this the whole story turneth. Yet, at the same time, we learn how that just man was not swayed by any desire to avenge his own sufferings, neither repaid evil for evil. Whence also David saith If I have rewarded evil Ps. vii. 5.
In what would Joseph have been worthy to be chosen before others, if he had harmed them which harmed him, and loved them which loved him? For this do many do. But it is a wonder if one do that which the Saviour teacheth, and love his enemy. Well, then, may we wonder at him who did this before the Gospel came; who, being injured, spared; being assailed, forgave; being sold, returned no evil; but repaid insult with favour. We, from the Gospel, have been taught to do all this, and we cannot. Let us also, then, learn how that there was envy even among some of the holy (Patriarchs), that we may follow the example of the patience (wherewith others of them bore it;) and let us feel that they were not men of another and higher nature than ours, but only more heedful; that they were not sinless, but that they repented. But if the passion of envy scorched even some of the holy race, how much more need is there for the sinful to take heed lest it set fire to them? (A Book on the Holy Patriarch Joseph, written by Saint Ambrose. As found in the readings for Matins for the Third Sunday of Lent.)
We must continue to pray, fast and to make many sacrifices for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter who will proceed to fulfill Our Lady’s Fatima Message no matter how many people believe that is either unnecessary or that it would not do any good. Our Lady told us what would happen, namely, that her Immaculate Heart will triumph.” Why do we doubt that this is so?
Praying our Rosaries as we beseech Saint Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, to protect us in these times of great peril, may we fly unto his Most Chaste Spouse, to surrender to everything, including our liberty if this is to be taken away from us, to serve Christ the King as soldiers in His holy army in our battle with the forces of the adversary in our lives and in the world-at-large.
