One Wonders

The rapid spread of what can be called organized anarcho-nihilistic “protests” at colleges and universities in the United States of America and elsewhere in the world has given rise to entirely naturalistic reactions on the part of “Christian Zionists” that, I believe it is reasonable to conclude, are exactly what those who organized these “protests” have desired to accomplish.

Before elaborating on that thesis, however, I want to stipulate a few points in order to help readers focus on the deeper, supernatural natural perspectives of these dog and pony shows, which are merely a sort of “Spring Training” prior to the “protests” that will take place at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, from August 19-22, 2024, rather than to get caught up in the hysteria of the moment.

First, as has been well documented, the campus “protests” have been organized and led by experienced professional agitators cut in the mold of the Saul Alinsky school of “community organizing” and funded by the likes of front organizations that receiving funds from the Rockefeller Foundation and George Soros’s “Open Doors” Foundation.

Second, many of those participating in the campus “protests” have no idea why they have been protesting. One young lady told a reporter, “I guess I have to be better informed.” A good agitator or two can whip up the ignorant in a frenzy and use them to accomplish their ends. Revolutionaries have always done this, and what has been happening recently is simply a contemporary manifestation of how the French and Bolshevik revolutionaries used a well-organized minority to seize control by terrorizing the weak into submission.” The so-called “student activists” are no more students than were than the Iranian “student militants” who seized fifty-three hostages at the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran, on November 4, 1979.

Third, many of the actual students enrolled at places such as Columbia University, New York University, Yale University, University of Southern California, University of California at Los Angeles are the sons and daughters of privilege who demanded that food be delivered to them after they had seized buildings and/or set up illegal encampments on campus grounds while also demanding complete amnesty for their nihilism. Campus life for those not so privileged has been interrupted, although, given what is taught in these institutions, that might not such a bad thing but, as a former college professor who always believed in the right order and regularity of the academic schedule, the regular order of classes and final examinations for those interested in what alleges to be academic work and obtaining the worthless piece of paper called a college degree.

Fourth, as will be discussed below, although the government of the Zionist State of Israel is conducting a genocide against the Palestinian people as many thousands of thousand have now fled from Gaza City in the past seven months to live as nomads in the southern part of Gaza, which is itself now under attack by the Israeli Defense Force, but few, if any, of those who have been protesting understand anything about the root causes of the conflict and, rather than praying for the conversion of those responsible for the ongoing genocide, spout invectives against Jews in general, going so far as to engage in open threats against them and their places of false worship. Most of those protesting do not care anything about the fact that Holy Land belongs to Christ the King and His Catholic Church. They care for the Palestinian cause in the name of a Marxism and nihilism that has everything to with the adversary and nothing at all to do with the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity.

Fifth, it is, as noted at the beginning of this brief commentary, I, for one, think that is very reasonable to conclude that some of those funding these “protests,” which accomplish nothing other than to generate headlines and the likes of which have no place on the campuses of supposed centers of higher education that have become nothing other than tightly-controlled cells of ideological indoctrination and programming, have desired to use the agitation they funded to create a counterreaction on the part of Christian Zionists to silence all opposition to the murderous policies of the Zionist State of Israel and to Judaism itself as being an “antisemitic hate crime.”

Indeed, the United States House of Representatives recently passed legislation that, in essence, proscribes any questioning about the existence of Zionist State of Israel and the basis upon which it was founded by the forcible removal, imprisonment and relocation of Palestinian Arabs, Christians and Mohammedans alike, any questioning concerning the nature and extent of the crimes committed by the so-called Third Reich of Adolf Hitler, and, of course, any criticism of the policies of the Israeli government and of the brutality of the Israeli Defense Forces:

The House voted to expand the legal definition of antisemitism used to enforce anti-discrimination laws at a time when anti-Israel protests are raging at college campuses across the country.

The bill overwhelmingly passed the House by a 320-91 vote, netting a majority of Republicans and Democrats.

If passed by the Senate and signed by President Biden, the bipartisan Antisemitism Awareness Act would mandate that the Department of Education legally adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's (IHRA) definition of antisemitism when enforcing anti-discrimination rules.

Critics of the bill have attacked it as government overreach and said it would negatively impact free speech on campus.

Like most issues in Israel's war on Hamas, the vote divided the Democratic Party. An increasing number of voices on the left, anchored by progressives, have been critical of Israel's invasion of Gaza and the U.S. government's position on the war.

The bill had over a dozen Democratic backers, including Reps. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., and Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., who are Jewish, and Ritchie Torres, D-N.Y., among others.

Seventy Democrats voted against the bill, while 133 voted against it. On the Republican side, just 21 voted against the bill, with 187 GOP lawmakers in support.

The opposition was led in part by Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., a Jewish progressive who is the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee.

"This definition, adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance or IHRA, includes, quote, contemporary examples of antisemitism, close quote. The problem is that these examples may include protected speech in some context, particularly with respect to criticism of the state of Israel," Nadler said during debate on the bill.

"To be clear, I vehemently disagree with the sentiments toward Israel expressing those examples. And, too often, criticism of Israel does in fact take the form of virulent antisemitism."

On the other side of the aisle, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., voiced his objections to the bill on the morning of the vote.

"This is a poorly conceived unconstitutional bill and I will vote no," Massie wrote on X, along with screenshots of examples on IHRA's website of what it defines as antisemitism.

It includes "claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor" and "drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis."

Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., who led the bill, told Fox News Digital, "When people engage in harassment or bullying of Jewish individuals where they justify the killing of Jews or use blood libel or hold Jews collectively responsible for the actions of the Israeli government — that is antisemitic. It's unfortunate that needs to be clarified, but that's why this bill is necessary." (House votes to expand definition of antisemitism amid anti-Israel demonstrations across US.)

A secular writer criticized this unconstitutional bill as follows:

“Our” House of Representatives recently passed perhaps the most odious piece of legislation in our history. This is quite a feat, considering that, in this millennium alone, they were responsible for the Patriot Act and Banker Bailout monstrosities. This act stamps the imprimatur of Zionist power on Congress, like a scarlet letter.

If you want to know why so many “haters” believe “the Jews” control everything, look at the Antisemitism Awareness Act. Look at how overwhelmingly it passed. It was not a close vote. If someone can explain how a foreign nation holds such power over our elected officials, I’m waiting to hear it. Sure, you had the Alien and Sedition Acts, and the Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR administrations acted as if it was illegal to criticize the government. But as bad as all that was, at least it concerned our nation. It has never been illegal to criticize another country, in any other nation on earth, to my knowledge. Until now. Sure, the Soviets supposedly outlawed “anti-Semitism,” but this is hard to source credibly. This odious congressional legislation is very real.

The act goes well beyond the current state of Israel. It warns against any claims that Israel’s creation was problematic in any sense. More importantly, it references Holocaust “denial,” and condemns it. Thus, America now joins every other country on earth in forbidding any discussion of the particulars of the German concentration camps. And finally, it suggests that statements about the Jews killing Jesus Christ are “anti-Semitic.” I was raised a Catholic. I was very small, but I remember the Latin mass, before Vatican II. I’ve read Father Feeney, and listened to Father Coughlin. This act basically repudiates pre-Vatican II Catholicism. There are Biblical passages about the Jews being responsible for killing Christ. This shouldn’t mean that any Jew today bears any blame. But this act in effect makes parts of the Bible “anti-Semitic.”

I get weary of talking about Jewish control and power. But this legislation is about as clear an indication as you could ask for, that the “anti-Semites” are correct. What other group has ever been protected from criticism by an act of law? Confining it to just Israel, what other nation has ever been exempted from criticism, by a legal act in another country? The pretext for this legislation is the alleged mistreatment of Jewish students on college campuses. To whatever degree this is happening, all reasonable people would certainly condemn it. I support the right of Jews to free speech, free assembly, and everything else guaranteed them under the Bill of Rights. But I don’t support that any more strongly than I support the rights of Palestinian students, or the Nation of Islam, or whatever Eskimos exist in this once great land.

Most conservatives demonstrated that they really don’t support free speech any more than the “Woke” Left does, with their willingness to suppress pro-Palestinian demonstrations on campuses. Their portrayal of them reminded me of the way the establishment dishonestly depicted the January 6 Stop the Steal rally. It seems the Left tolerates free speech, unless you say something “racist,” or “homophobic,” or “transphobic.” I’m pretty sure they also are concerned with “anti-Semitism,” but this would only apply to “White Nationalist” types. In other words, Whites who don’t hate White people. The Right, on the other hand, tolerates free speech, unless you criticize Israel, or say something unpleasant about Jews in general. Actually, both sides can become apoplectic if you criticize any Jew they agree with.

Candace Owens is engaged in a battle royal with Daily Wire founder Ben Shapiro. Shapiro’s ethnocentric hysteria on the subject of Israel and “the Jews” in general resulted in Owens leaving his company. Now we find that Shapiro tried to slap a gag order on Owens, after agreeing to debate her on the subject of anti-Semitism. This debate is unlikely to ever transpire, because Shapiro has revealed himself to be as unbalanced as the “wokest” pussy hat wearer. Owens would mop the floor up with him. Especially since her primary contention is that there is no universal definition of “anti-Semitism.” She wants Shapiro to define it. Obviously, neither he nor anyone else can do that, because it’s an emotional, subjective term, like “racist,” or “White Supremacist,” or “terrorist,” or “insurrectionist.”

When they invented the term “politically correct,” in skits on Saturday Night Live, starring the late Phil Hartman, very few objected. After all, once you get the notion of “political correctness” embedded in your culture, you assure that you marginalize discourse even further, by ostracizing “political incorrectness.” When they invented the Orwellian term “hate speech,” very few objected. Hate is a human emotion. We all hate. You can’t criminalize an emotion, and you certainly can’t ethically pick and choose when to invoke it. Some hate is more equal than others. So, since it’s “hate” to question anything about Jews, from the Kosher grift that allows rabbis to be paid for “blessing” food for sale, to Israeli treatment of Palestinians, but not “hate” to disparage Christianity, for example, this legislation was sadly predictable. ("Anti-Semitism" vs. Free Speech.)

Left unaddressed by this author, who disparaged the Legion of Decency later in his column and thus demonstrated his own misunderstanding of the fact that there are legitimate forms of censorship and then the modern concept of “free speech” is based upon libertarian principles that do not take into consideration the honor and glory of God nor the good of souls for whom His Co-Equal, Co-Eternal Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, suffered and died during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem, is the fact that “antisemitism bill passed six days ago by the United States House of Representatives could very well be exactly what some of those funding these protests desired all along: the silencing of those of us who criticize Talmudism, Zionism, and the political and military policies of the Israeli government.

Sixth, it is, however, certainly true that Our Lord is using the “protests” taking place to chastise and humiliate adherents of the false Talmudic religion as He uses all the events of the world to seek the conversion of sinners and, yes, unbelief in Him and His true Church is a sin. Our Lord is also using the nihilistic pagans engaged in mob action to bring to light the current genocide in Gaza, which is why the “antisemitism” bill was deemed “necessary” as those who live in the shadows of darkness never want the light of their actions brought to light.

Obviously, the “protesters” themselves do not understand this fact and, importantly, such a recognition on our part in no way signifies our agreement with their expressions of genuine hatred for Jews. However, it remains true that Our Lord uses unbelievers to chastise each other and us all to effect His will for the sanctification and salvation of all men as believing members of the Catholic Church.

Seventh, in this regard, therefore, it should be noted that many of the protesters, including the well-paid, able to travel at will professional agitators and actual student enrolled in various courses of study in error, balderdash, and poppycock, actually do hate Jews and some within their ranks believe that that violence can and must be committed against Jews because of the crimes that have been committed by the Zionist State of Israel in the past and are being perpetuated to this day in Gaza and within the “greater Israeli” borders that were drawn after the Six Day War in 1967. Of utterly no concern to these protesters, however, is the fact that the Israelis have also perpetrated a continuing genocide against millions of preborn Israelis by means of chemical and surgical abortions (see, for example, No One Has Killed More Israelis Than the Israelis Themselves).

Such hatred, of course, has no place in the life of a believing Catholic.

We oppose Judaism in all its forms and expressions not because we hate Jews but because we love Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who Himself ended the Mosaic Covenant when He breathed His last breath on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday as the earth quaked and the curtain in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

It is not to hate Jews to seek their conversion.

It is not to hate Jews to criticize the policies of the State of Israeli.

It is not to hate Jews to discuss the fact that, no matter the nature and extent of the crimes committed under the direction of Adolf Hitler that have been used by Talmudists as the pretext to silence all criticism of them and their false religion, it was the Talmudists themselves who made the rise of Adolf Hitler possible by means of the systematic warfare that generations upon generations of them waged against the Social Reign Christ the King and the unicity of the Catholic Church ever since the Renaissance and the Protestant Revolution itself, which was inspired in no small measure by the active influence of Talmudists and Talmudic beliefs.

It is not to hate Jews to seek their conversion to the Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true and legitimate social order.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ does not seek the death of the sinner but his conversion:

And if the watchman see the sword coming, and sound not the trumpet: and the people look not to themselves, and the sword come, and cut off a soul from among them: he indeed is taken away in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at the hand of the watchman.  7 So thou, O son of man, I have made thee a watchman to the house of Israel: therefore thou shalt hear the word from my mouth, and shalt tell it them from me.  8 When I say to the wicked: O wicked man, thou shalt surely die: if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked man from his way: that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand.  9 But if thou tell the wicked man, that he may be converted from his ways, and he be not converted from his way: he shall die in his iniquity: but thou hast delivered thy soul.  10 Thou therefore, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: Thus you have spoken, saying: Our iniquities, and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them: how then can we live?

11 Say to them: As I live, saith the Lord God, I desire not the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way, and live. Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways: and why will you die, O house of Israel? (Ezechiel 33: 6-11.)

Catholics are called upon by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to bear themselves kindly towards all men and to see in them His own Divine Impress even though they themselves may not realize this fact and may, quite indeed, treat us with utter contempt.

Although the recitation that follows may be familiar to readers of this site, I think that it is important to reiterate the simple fact that almost no protester, paid or otherwise, understands the deeper, supernatural perspectives that should inform our own understanding of contemporary events and to help us to help others to rise above the nihilistic hysteria of the moment and to rest secure in the loving embrace of the Mother of God.

First, the Abrahamic Jews were expelled from the Holy Land by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who had given them a thirty-seven year period of mercy to respond to the preaching of the Apostles after Pentecost Sunday. Our Lord used the pagan Romans to chastise the once Chosen People for their perfidious blindness and hardness of heart, something that He prophesied as follows:

And Jesus being come out of the temple, went away. And his disciples came to shew him the buildings of the temple.  2 And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed   3 And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world?  4 And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you:  5 For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.

6 And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places:  8 Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows.  9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name's sake.  10 And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many.  12 And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold.  13 But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved.  14 And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.  15 When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand. (Matthew 24: 1-15.)

Father George Leo Haydock’s commentary on these verses explains the Catholic teaching concerning the dispersal of most of the Abrahamic Jews from the Holy Land by the pagan Romans, explaining how the first attempt by the Jews to resettle in the Holy Land under the reign of Julian the Apostate resulted in their own destruction of the last remaining stones of the Temple of Herod:

After the fatigues of preaching and teaching, Jesus towards evening left the temple, as it is in the Greek, eporeueto apo tou ierou, and went towards Mount Olivet, where he was accustomed to spend his nights, as we learn from St. Luke, chap. xxi. ver. 37. (Jansenius) — His disciples came to shew him the buildings, not moved by curiosity, for they had seen them frequently before, but by pity; because he had on a former occasion, and only just before in Jerusalem, threatened the destruction of the temple and city, hoping that the splendour and magnificence of so fine a structure, consecrated to God, might alter his determination, as St. Hilary observes. But the anger of God, provoked by sins, is not to be appeased with stones and buildings. He therefore answered them: (Jansenius)

Ver. 2. Do you see all these things? Examine again and again all this magnificence, that the sentence of heaven may appear more striking. — A stone upon a stone. We need not look on this as an hyperbole. The temple burnt by the Romans, and afterwards even ploughed up. See Gregory of Nazianzus, orat. ii. cont. Julianum; Theodoret, lib. iii. Histor. chap. xx. &c. (Witham) — Julian the apostate, wishing to falsify the predictions of Daniel and of Jesus Christ, attempted to rebuild the temple. For this purpose, he assembled the chief among the Jews, and asking them why they neglected the prescribed sacrifices, was answered, that they could not offer any where else but in the temple of Jerusalem. Upon this he ordered them to repair to Jerusalem, to rebuild their temple, and restore their ancient worship, promising them his concurrence in carrying on the work. This filled the Jews with inexpressible joy. Hence flocking to Jerusalem, they began with scorn and triumph to insult over the Christians. Contributions came in from all parts. The Jewish women stripped themselves of their most costly ornaments. The emperor opened his treasures to furnish every thing necessary for the building. The most able workmen were convened from all parts; persons of the greatest distinction were appointed to direct the work; and the emperor’s friend, Alipius, was set over the whole, with orders to carry on the work without ceasing, and to spare no expense. All materials were laid in to an immense quantity. The Jews of both sexes bore a share in the labour; the women helping to dig the ground, and carry away the rubbish in their aprons and gowns. It is even said that the Jews appointed some pick-axes, spades, and baskets, to be made of silver, for the honour of the work. Till this time the foundations and some ruins of the walls had remained, as appears from St. Cyril, in his catechism xv. n. 15, and Eusebius, Dem. Evang. lib. viii. p. 406These ruins the Jews first demolished with their own hands, thus concurring to the accomplishment of our Saviour’s prediction. They next began to dig a new foundation, in which many thousands were employed. But what they had thrown up in the day, was, by repeated earthquakes, the night following cast back again into the trench. When Alipius the next day was earnestly pressing on the work, with the assistance of the governor of the province, there issued, says Ammianus Marcellinus, such horrible balls of fire out of the earth near the foundations, as to render the place inaccessible from time to time to the scorched workmen. And the victorious element continuing in this manner obstinately bent, as it were, to drive them to a distance, Alipius, thought proper to abandon, though reluctantly, the enterprise. This great event happened in the beginning of the year 363, and with many very astonishing circumstances is recorded both by Jews and Christians. See the proofs and a much fuller account of this astonishing event, which all the ancient fathers describe as indubitable, in Alban Butler’s life of St. Cyril of Jerusalem, March 18th. Thus they so completely destroyed whatever remained of the ancient temple, that there was not left one stone upon another; nor were they permitted by heaven even to begin the new one. (Maldonatus) (See Matthew 24 – Haydock Commentary Online.)

Second, it was, therefore, in direct defiance of God’s Holy Will that Theodore Herzl, the founder of International Zionism, that the Talmudic Jews began to settle in Palestine Transjordan following World War I and then, in massive numbers, following World War II as many of them used the “collective guilt” card for the crimes of the Third Reich even Adolph Hitler was the direct result of the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic effort to overthrow the Social Reign of Christ the King and to marginalize, if not entirely replace, the temporal power of His Catholic Church in all that pertains to the good of souls.

Third, those who are so ignorant or arrogant to defy God’s Holy Will wind up bringing endless suffering, hardship, and miseries into their own lives if they do not repent of their sins and seek out the ineffable mercy of the Divine Redeemer, Christ the King, in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance after having converted to or, in the case of baptized Catholics, returned to the Holy Faith, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order. There has been endless conflict in the Middle East since after World War II precisely because of the Zionist claims to lands that do not belong to them any more than they have belonged to their Abrahamic ancestors since 70 A.D.

Fourth, thus, although even the State of Israel was founded in bloodshed of Palestinian Arabs, both Christians and Mohammedans, whose ancestors had lived there for centuries, and has been marked by the continual oppression and persecution of Palestinian Arabs to such an extent that most, although not all, of the Christians among them  had to flee, its existence is a fait accompli, and, as such, has the right to legitimate self-defense and the protection of its innocent civilian population.

Fifth, this having been noted, however, the State of Israel has been led by racialists who believe that all Arabs are sub-humans and, at best, are to be tolerated and subject to dislocation and/or extermination as circumstances have “required,” something that was summarized by a Talmudic rabbi as follows:

Consider the words of one Mordecai Elihayu, former chief rabbi of the Sephardic branch of Talmudic Judaism, that were written in 2007:

All civilians living in Gaza are collectively guilty for Kassam attacks on Sderot, former Sephardi chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu has written in a letter to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Eliyahu ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings.

The letter, published in Olam Katan [Small World], a weekly pamphlet to be distributed in synagogues nationwide this Friday, cited the biblical story of the Shechem massacre (Genesis 34) and Maimonides' commentary (Laws of Kings 9, 14) on the story as proof texts for his legal decision.

According to Jewish war ethics, wrote Eliyahu, an entire city holds collective responsibility for the immoral behavior of individuals. In Gaza, the entire populace is responsible because they do nothing to stop the firing of Kassam rockets.

The former chief rabbi also said it was forbidden to risk the lives of Jews in Sderot or the lives of IDF soldiers for fear of injuring or killing Palestinian noncombatants living in Gaza.

Eliyahu could not be reached for an interview. However, Eliyahu's son, Shmuel Eliyahu, who is chief rabbi of Safed, said his father opposed a ground troop incursion into Gaza that would endanger IDF soldiers. Rather, he advocated carpet bombing the general area from which the Kassams were launched, regardless of the price in Palestinian life.

"If they don't stop after we kill 100, then we must kill a thousand," said Shmuel Eliyahu. "And if they do not stop after 1,000 then we must kill 10,000. If they still don't stop we must kill 100,000, even a million. Whatever it takes to make them stop."

In the letter, Eliyahu quoted from Psalms. "I will pursue my enemies and apprehend them and I will not desist until I have eradicated them."

Eliyahu wrote that "This is a message to all leaders of the Jewish people not to be compassionate with those who shoot [rockets] at civilians in their houses."  (http://www.jpost.com.)

This is not an anomaly. The Chabad branch of Talmudic Judaism has posted on a website its rabbinical "teaching" on the belief that the "souls of the nation," meaning the Gentiles, emanate from the nether world and are thus capable of doing no good in this world:

For in the [case of the] Jew, this soul of kelipah is derived from the kelipah called “nogah”, which also contains good; and the good within this nefesh gives rise to these positive natural traits.

[This kelipah] is from the esoteric “Tree of Knowledge” [which is comprised] of good and evil

The souls of the nations of the world, however, emanate from the other, unclean kelipot which contain no good whatever, as is written in Etz Chayim, Portal 49, ch. 3, that all the good that the nations do, is done out of selfish motives.

Since their nefesh emanates from kelipot which contain no good, it follows that any good done by them is for selfish motives.

So the Gemara comments on the verse, “The kindness of the nations is sin” — that all the charity and kindness done by the nations of the world is only for their self-glorification...

When a Jew acts in a benevolent manner he is motivated mainly out of concern for the welfare of his fellow. The proof of this is that were his fellow not to need his help, this would give him greater pleasure than the gratification derived from his act of kindness.

Concerning the nations of the world, however, this is not so. Their motivation is not the welfare of their fellow; rather, it stems from a self-serving motive — the desire for self-glorification, a feeling of gratification, and the like.

It should be noted that among the nations of the world there are also to be found those whose souls are derived from kelipat nogah. Called “the pious ones of the nations of the world,” these righteous individuals are benevolent not out of selfish motives but out of a genuine concern for their fellow. ( http://www.chabad.org/library/article.)

Whether it is the immoral efforts of the State of Israel to bomb West Beirut in 1982 in an effort to kill Yassir Arafat, the founder of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and to crush its terrorists, or the immoral efforts to impose a “final solution” upon the Hezbollah or Hamas, the leaders of the State of Israel, despite their supposed efforts to warn innocent civilians to flee from impending revenge attacks, have almost no regard for the lives of non-Jews.

Sixth, contrary to what many American libertarians, many of whom are ever eager to overlook the intrinsic evil of Communism and murderous Communist tyrants, including Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, and others, Mohammedanism is not now nor can will it ever be a “religion of peace.”

Mohammedanism is a false, blasphemous religion that has no right from God to exist. It is based on a rejection of the Most Holy Trinity and was founder by a pederast who wanted to justify his own deviancy, including polygamy, in the name of a false god, who he believed demanded the extermination of infidels.

A book that was published  in 2007, The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non-Muslims, which was edited by Andrew G. Bostom, M.D., provided documentation, drawn from primary Mohammedan documents and historical accounts of actual events, as to how Mohammedanism has been a religion of bloodshed and the persecution of “infidels” from the time that Mohammed arrived in Medina in the year 622 A.D., thereby embarking upon the first “Jihad” against non-Moslems:

September 622 [A.D.] marks a defining event in Islam—the hijra. Muhammed and a coterie of followers persecuted by fellow Banu Qurayza tribesmen fled from Mecca to Yathrib, later known as Medina. The Muslim sources described Yathrib as having been a Jewish city founded by a Palestinian diaspora population that had survived the revolt against the Romans. The Jews of the north Arabian peninsula were highly productive oasis farmers. These Jews were eventually joined by itinerant Arab tribes from southern Arabia who settled adjacent to them and transitioned to a sedentary existence.

Following Muhammad’s arrival, he reordered Medinian society. The Jewish tribes were isolated, some were then expelled, and the remainder attacked and exterminated. Muhammad distributed among his followers as “booty” the vanquished Jews property—plantations, fields, and houses—using this “booty” to established a well-equipped cavalry corps. For examine within a year after the massacre (in 627) of the Jewish tribe, the Banu Qurayza, Muhammad, according to a summary of sacralized Muslim sources, waited for some act of aggression on the parts of the Jews of Khaybar, whose fertile lands and villages he had destined for his followers to furnish an excuse for an attack.

But no such opportunity offering, he resolved in the autumn of the year (i.e., 628) on a sudden and unprovoked invasion of their territory. Ali (later, the fourth “Rightly Guided Caliph,” especially revered by Shi’ite Muslims) asked Muhammad why the Jews of Khaybar were being attacked, since they were peaceful farmers, tending their oasis, and was told by Muhammad he must compel them to submit to Islamic laws. The renowned twentieth-century scholar of Islam David Margoliouth observed aptly:

Now the fact that a community was idolatrous, or Jewish, or anything but Mohammedan, warranted a murderous attack upon it.

Muhammad’s subsequent interactions with the Christians of northern Africa followed a similar pattern, noted by the scholar of Islam’s origins Richard Bell. The “relationship” with the Christians ended as that with the Jews (ended)—in war,” because Islam as presented by Muhammad was a divine truth, and unless Christians accepted this formulation, which acceped this formulation, which included Muhammad’s authority, “conflict was inevitable, and there could have been no real peace while he [Muhammad] lived.”

The modern Muslim scholar Ali Dashti’s biography Muhammad 23 Years” A Study of the Prophetic Career of Mohammad has also chronicled Muhammad’s “changed course” at Medina, where the Muslim prophet begins to “issue orders for war” in multiple and repeated Koranic revelations (sura [chapter] 9 being composed almost entirely of such war proclamations—permanent injunctions against pagans, Jews, and Christians). Prior to enumerating the numerous assassinations Muhammad ordered, Ali Dashti observes:

Islam was gradually transformed from a purely spiritual mission into a militant and punitive organization whose progress depended on booty from raids and [tax] revenue. . . The Prophet’s steps in the decade after hejra [emigration from Mecca to Medina] were directed to the end of establishing and consolidating a religion-based state. Some of the deeds done on his command [were] killings of prisoners and political assassinations.

Thus Muhammad himself waged a series of pro-jihad campaigns to subdue the Jews, Christians, and pagans of Arabia. As numerous modern-day pronouncements by leading Muslim theologians confirm (see, for example, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s “The Prophet Muhammad as a Jihad Model”), Muhammadan jurisconsults and theologians from eighth to ninth centuries onward, based on their interpretation of Koranic verses, and long chapters in the “hadith,” or acts and sayings of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, especially those recorded by al-Bukhari (d. 869) and Muslim (d. 874).

Ibn Kaldun (d. 1406), jurist, renowned philosopher, historian and sociologist, summarized these consensus opinions form five centuries of prior Muslim jurisprudence with regard to the uniquely Islamic institution of Jihad:

In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the [Muslim] mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force. . . . The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense. . . . Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations.

Classical Islam jurists such as Ibn Khaldum also formulated the concepts of Dar al Islam and Dar al Harb (Arabic for “The House of Islam and the House of War”). Armand Abel, the leading twentieth-century expert on the Muslim conception of Dar al Harb, summarizes as it follows:

Together with the duty of the “war in the way of God” (or jihad), this universalistic aspiration would lead the Moslems to see the world as being divided fundamentally into two parts. On the one hand there was that part of the world where Islam prevailed, where salvation had been announced, where the religion that ought to reign was practiced; this was Dar al Islam. On the other hand, there was the part which still awaited the establishment of the saving religion and which constituted, by definition, the object of the holy war. This was the Dar al Harb. The latter, in the view of Moslem jurists, was not populated by people who had a natural right not to practice Islam, but rather by people destined to become Moslems who, through impiousness, refused to accept this great benefit. Since they were destined sooner or later to be converted at the approach of the victorious armies of the Prophet’s successor, or else killed for their rebelliousness, they were the rebel subjects of the Caliph. Their kings were nothing but odious tyrants who, by opposing the progress of the saving religion together with their armies, were following a Satanic inspiration and rising up against the designs of Providence. And so no respite should be granted them, no truce; perpetual war should their lot, waged in the course of the winter and summer ghazu [razzias]. If the sovereign of the country thus attacked desired peace, it was possible for him, just like for any tributary or community, to pay the tribute for himself and for his subjects. Thus the [Byzantine] Empress Irene [d. 803] “purchased peace at the price of her humiliation,” according to the formula stated in the dhimma contract itself, by paying 70,000 pounds in gold annually to the Caliph of Baghdad. Many other princes agreed in this way to come tributaries—often after long struggles—and to see their dominions pass from the status of dar al Harb to that of dar al Sulh. In this way, those of their subjects who lived within the boundaries of the territory ruled by the Caliphate were spared the uncertainty of being exposed arbitrarily, without any guarantee, to the military operations of the summer ghazu and the winter ghazu: indeed, anything within the reach of the Moslem armies as they advanced, being property of impious men and rebels, were mercilessly consigned to the lot specified in the Koranic verse about the sword, and their women and children were treated like things. (Andrew G. Bostom, M.D., “Prefect to the Paperback Edition,” The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non-Muslims, Prometheus Books, Amherst, New York, 2008, pp. ii-iv.)

Bostom went on to describe how non-Muslims are viewed by faithful, believing Mohammedans:

As described by the great twentieth-century scholar of Islamic law Joseph Schaact,

A non-Muslim who is not protected by a treaty is called harbi, “in a state of war,” “enemy alien; his life and property are completely unprotected by law. (Andrew G. Bostom, M.D., “Prefect to the Paperback Edition,” The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non-Muslims, Prometheus Books, Amherst, New York, 2008, p. v.)

Far from being a “religion of peace,” Mohammedanism is by its very demonic nature a religion of war and aggression against all “infidels.”

It is nevertheless the case that the past two presidents of the United States of America, George Walker Bush and Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, have referred to this false, blasphemous religion as a “religion of peace,” and Jorge Mario Bergoglio has gone so far as to ignore all Mohammedan attempts to invade France, Italy, and Austria or their persecution of Catholics in Mohammedan-dominated nations, both in the Iberian Peninsula before they were expelled by Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492 and contemporaneously throughout the world. The truth is otherwise:

While descending the slopes of the Pyrenees the Arabs also overran Aquitaine. In 732, having conquered Duke Eudes, they entered Bordeaux, where they burned down all the churches, and advanced as far as the gates of Poitiers, setting fire to the Basilica of Saint Hillary Outside the Walls. Then they set out for the capital of Gaulish Christendom, that is, Tours, their objective being both spiritual and material to strike a blow against the prestige of Saint Martin and to lay hold of the riches of the shrine. Bu they did not reach their goal: one Saturday in October [October 10, 732], the Frankish commander Charles Martel stopped them not far from Poitiers.

Besides, they found the Mediterranean regions more attractive. Around 734 or 735, they stormed and took Arles and Avignon. From the coast of Provence and Italy, their sailors preceded the cavalry or substituted for them. In 846 they disembarked at the mouth of the Tiber, seized Ostia, went up the river, refrained from attacking the wall of Rome, but pillaged the basilicas of Saints Peter and Paul, which at that time were both outside the walls. This alarm prompted, as a countermeasure, the construction of a new Roman enclosure encompassing Saint Peter’s and rejoining the old one at the Castel Santagnelo, the old mausoleum of the Emperor Hadrian. In 849 the Muslims attempted a new landing at Ostia; then, every year from around 857 on, they threatened the Roman seaboard. (Andrew G. Bostom, M.D., “Prefect to the Paperback Edition,” The Legacy of Jihad: Islamic Holy War and the Fate of Non-Muslims, Prometheus Books, Amherst, New York, 2008, p. 421. Appendix B contains material about the false prophet Mohammed’s commitment to violence as a bedrock foundation of his false religion.)

Thus, you see, Talmudists and Mohammedans, both of whom have souls that are captive to the devil by means of Original Sin and are thus inflamed to commit more and more Actual Sins to accomplish their goals even though they are not aware of this fact, are committed to the subjugation, if not the elimination, of each other. There can never be any kind of longstanding absent of conflict when the souls of men are in constant conflict with God, His Holy Will, and His Holy Laws, which admit of no exceptions at any time for any reason.

Neither the Mohammedans nor the Talmudists are “men of good will.” Each is prone to hatred and violence. Both false religions are instruments of Antichrist, who is using them to destroy all false religions in preparation for the final battle between himself and Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We can have no sympathies for false religion of Mohammedanism nor of Talmudic Judaism, but we can and must pray for the conversion of all those who suffer from the injustices that one merciless band of barbarians imposes upon the other. The merciless will always attack the heartless, and the heartless will always show no mercy to the merciless.

Mohammedanism is a blasphemous, false religion that is violent of its very nature. The members of Hamas are as faithful to the Koran by killing infidels as the murderous Zionists of the State of Israel are being faithful to the dictates of Talmudism and Judeo-Masonry to make the innocent suffer with the guilty when Jewish blood has been shed. Mohammedanism is no more a "religion of peace" than Talmudism or even conciliarism itself, whose lords make warfare upon Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This having been noted, however, it is important to note that we must treat all men as we would Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There are many individual Mohammedans and Jews who have much natural charity and, truth be told, are more polite and kind than many believing Catholics. Although the Mohammedan and Talmudic religions contain no "good will" whatsoever as each is hideous in the sight of the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Holy Trinity, there are individual Mohammedans and Jews who are naturally cultured and who display a good will in natural manner that can be the basis of their converting to the true Faith if we reciprocate their courtesies and pray fervently to Our Lady and to Saint Vincent Ferrer for their conversion.

Also, of course, we must pray for the innocents on both sides who have been attacked, praying most especially for their conversion to the true Faith before they die so that they have offer forgiveness to those who persecute them and to seek true justice when necessary without malice and according to the terms of the Just War Theory.

Seventh, the current conflict between the State of Israel and Hamas is just part of a broader conflict that has its root causes in the rejection of Catholicism as the one and only foundation of peace in the souls of men, which is the absolute precondition, although never an infallible guarantor because of the vestigial after-effects of Original Sin, for a just peace within and among nations.

Hamas can impose all the suffering of innocent civilians, decimate families, seize hostages and display their barbarism for all the world to see without for a moment realizing that these acts of wanton violence can never be the basis for “solving” their “Israeli problem” any more than the Zionists who govern the State of Israel can “solve” their “Palestinian problem” by the decimation of civilian population centers, leaving the refugees who manage to leave before the onset of the pending ground invasion no place to return after the invasion has run its course if, that is, the Israelis do not decide to stay in Gaza permanently and install a puppet regime to its liking.

Eighth, although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned civilians in Gaza to flee to the south, the Israelis have already bombed “strategic targets” in Gaza City that have destroyed civilian residences and have turned off the Palestinians supplies of food, water, and electricity. This disaster was accurately described by the conciliar and Orthodox authorities in the region as follows:

Today, an emergency committee of the Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem met for prayer and consultation over the grave humanitarian crisis the has befallen all of us.

Our beloved Holy Land has changed dramatically over the past week. We are witnessing a new cycle of violence with an unjustifiable attack against all civilians. Tensions continue to rise and more innocent and vulnerable people are paying the ultimate price as the dramatic level of death and destruction in Gaza clearly show.

The order to evacuate the north of Gaza and to ask 1.1 million people — including all the members of our Christian communities there — to relocate to the south within 24 hours will only deepen an already disastrous catastrophe. Gaza’s entire population is being deprived of electricity, water, fuel supplies, food, and medicine. According to UN sources, 423,000 people have already been displaced because of the destruction of their homes. Many civilians in Gaza have said to us that there are no realistic ways in which they can evacuate to safety in any direction.

We call upon the State of Israel, with the support of the International Community, to allow humanitarian supplies to enter Gaza so that the thousands of innocent civilians may receive medical treatment and basic supplies. Moreover, we call upon all parties to de-escalate this war in order to save innocent lives while still serving the cause of justice.

Finally, in support of all those who have suffered in this war and of the families reeling from the violence, we call upon the people of our congregations and all those of goodwill around the world to observe a Day of Prayer and Fasting on Tuesday, October 17th.

There is yet time to stop the hatred.

— The Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem. (Christian leaders in Jerusalem urge Israel to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.)

Injustice breeds injustice.

Although the Hamas attack upon the Israelis was barbaric, there would never have been such an attack if the leaders of the Zionist State of Israel, aided and abetted by American presidential administrations and Christian Zionists in the halls of Congress and from the pulpits of Protestant meeting halls that are actually temples of error and not churches whatsoever, had not taken over Palestine seventy-six years ago and if successors of this terrorist state’s founders had not placed their own citizens in harm’s way by encouraging settlements in the occupied territories. The people of Gaza do not deserve “collective punishment” of the most inhumane kind because of the inhumanity of Hamas.

A secular commentator noted the plight of the Palestinian people as follows:

It’s not a real war.  The bloody carnage in Israel and Palestine that we now witness is a large prison uprising being crushed by Israel’s military might.

M-16 lightweight rifles against Merkava tanks; home-made rockets (little more than flying pipe bombs) versus US-state of the art F-15 and F-16 fighter bombers; a few thousand Hamas fighters versus 600,000 or more Israeli soldiers and police backed by drones and heavy artillery.

American-made bombs and rockets are now shattering what’s left of Gaza, one of the world’s most densely populated places.  Israel, which suffered over 1,200 dead innocent civilians from a Hamas-led attack on a music festival and waves of rocket barrages, vows Biblical revenge on the Palestinians.

Interestingly, the US supplied warplanes, bombs and rockets pounding Palestinian fighters and civilians are being used in contravention of the US Arms Control Act which forbids use of American arms against civilian targets.

Heedless of US law, the Biden administration is in full pro-war hysteria over Gaza.  The next US elections are getting closer. The US state-guided media is also in full war mode, portraying events in Gaza as an attack on the United States.

The war party in Washington is baying for war against Iran which, as far as we know now, had no primary role in the Gaza attacks.  One will likely be found or manufactured by Israel’s right-wing militants and Fox News.

I have been watching and writing about the agony of Palestine for some 70 years.  I’ve watched what was to have been a small Jewish enclave grow into a powerful Sparta with some 200 nuclear weapons and unprecedented control of the US Congress and media.

Gaza, this miserable, squalid human garbage dump, is a giant open-air prison packed with 2.2 million Palestinian refugees driven from the newly created state of Israel in 1948.  Israel and its close ally Egypt keep Gaza bottled up on its land and sea borders. Palestinians are only allowed to fish along the shore. Coastal gas and oil reserves have been expropriated by Israel and Egypt.

The United States, Israel’s patron and financier, reveled in the move of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a move seen by Bible Belt religious fundamentalists as a key step to the return of the Christian Messiah and Armageddon in which the rest of us, Jews included, are fated to be burned alive. The American Republicans, who have become a far-right theocratic party, cheered this good news.

There was no joy in Gaza. This miserable, squalid human garbage dump is a giant open-air prison packed with 2.2 million Palestinian refugees driven from the newly created state of Israel in 1948. Israel and its close ally Egypt keep Gaza bottled up on its land and sea borders. Palestinians are only allowed to fish along the shore. Coastal gas and oil reserves have been expropriated by Israel and Egypt.

Gaza’s two million people subsist on the edge of starvation. Israel openly boasts that it allows just enough food into the enclave to prevent outright starvation. Chemicals to treat water are banned. Electricity runs only a few hours daily because the power plant was bombed by Israel’s US-supplied air force. Hospitals have almost no medicines. In short, wartime conditions in the open-air prison. Even the wretched animals in Gaza Zoo are starving.  Hamas fighters have reportedly even killed cats and dogs.

The intensive punishment of Gaza, a crime under international law, began after its people voted in a free election for the Hamas movement over the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) which is more or less run by Israel and the United States. Israel helped found Hamas in 1987 to split the PLO, but then sought, with the US, to destroy the organization, branding it ‘terrorist.’

Israel has extensively used US-supplied arms and money to fight Hamas in Gaza, a clear violation of the Arms Export Control Act of 1976 that bars the use of American weapons against civilian populations.

The question remains, where did all the Palestinians come from? Israel long claimed there were no such people, or a made-up nationality. This was a pretty rich claim coming from Israelis, many of whom hailed from Russia, Poland and Eastern Europe and who had assumed biblical identities and asserted a direct link to the Hebrews who had lived two thousand years earlier in the Levant.

When Israel was created by the US and UN (with Soviet support) in 1948, from 750,000 to one million native Palestinians were driven from their ancestral home at gunpoint or panicked to flight by massacres and ethnic cleansing. Their villages were bulldozed.

When Israel conquered and annexed the West Bank and the Old City of Jerusalem in 1967, another 500,000 Palestinians were made refugees. Some 50,000-250,000 Syrians were driven by Israel from the strategic Golan Heights. Bedouins were driven from Israel’s Negev Desert.

There are only two ways out of this bloody mess.  Either drive millions of Palestinians into the desert in an act of genocide or create a long-delayed Palestinian state mandated by the United Nations but which has been long blocked by US vetoes and Israel resistance. (How Much Longer Will Palestinians Be Martyr People?.)

This analysis is very good up to its conclusion as the only true way out of this mess runs through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and the conversion of one and all to the true Faith, whereupon all exclaim “Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini. Hosanna in excelsis.”

Ninth, despite all the posturing by officials of the government of the United States of America about terrorism, the truth remains that this country has long been the leading practitioner and exporter of worldwide terrorism, the most egregious form of which, the slaughter of the innocent preborn both by chemical and surgical means, has been taking place in one form or another for a century and is being aggressively promoted by the current administration of the morally decadent stumblebum who spends much of his time in Delaware when not hosting barbecues in times of world conflicts.

Tenth, not to be overlooked in all this is the fact that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war has been permitted to go on long after a negotiated peace should have been sought by the money, fame ad power hungry Volodymyr Zelensky, who has become the bagman of Kiev while he sends his young man to die as such cannon fodder in a war that has already witnessed attacks upon innocent civilians by both sides without a thought of the Just War Theory. Zelensky, who is a secular, non-observant Jew, must be lamenting the fact that, despite the occasional victory by Ukraine forces in battles with the Russians, the Hamas attack on Israel has displaced him in favor of Benjamin Netanyahu was the principal beneficiary of American sympathy and financial largesse.

Eleventh, cognizant of the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran recently attacked Israeli directly and that the Israeli government responded in kind, intervenes—or is forced to intervene by an Israeli attack—in it as its grand poohbahs are threatening, one must not get bogged down in the “what ifs” as this is all happening within the Providence of God, Who wants us to realize that there is no need for panic or alarm as He will always send us through the loving hands of Our Lady all the graces that we need to carry whatever crosses we may be asked to bear. We must pray always to remain a State of Sanctifying Grace as we are more likely to die from an accident or a health problem rather than even from the actual outbreak of World War III.

Twelfth, the singularly most tragic aspect of the Hamas attack upon Israeli citizens and the Zionists' response to it is the fact that thousands upon thousands of non-baptized souls are being sent to hell, where they will curse each other for all eternity as the devil mocks them for being so stupid as to hate each other as much as he hates them and their very Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier, Whom they themselves mocked in their respective forms of false worship. Yes, this is the greatest tragedy of them all, and this is a tragedy occurring on the campuses of colleges and universities in the United States of America and Europe as those who truly hate Jews and the Jews themselves hurl curses and epithets at each other with bitter invective.

Thirteenth, Pope Pius XII issued two encyclical letters on the Palestine Question in 1948, the first of which, Auspicia Quedam, was issued on the very day of Zionist proclamation of the State of Israel on May 1, 1948. Aupsicia Quedam contains an invitation to entrust the peace and protection of the Holy Land to the Immaculate Heart of Mary thus contains an exhortation is as relevant now as it was seventy-six years, six days ago when it was issued:

Today there are appearing certain tokens which give clear proof that the vast community of nations, after such destruction and ruin brought on by the long and terrible war, is resolutely turned to the saving paths of peace.

2. At the moment, a more willing ear is given to those who are striving to restore lost prosperity, to heal discords and to rebuild from the mighty ruins under which we groan than to those who are inciting to mutual and bitter dispute, to hate and dissension, from which nothing else can arise but fresh and more serious evils to the nations.

3. Nevertheless, although We and the Christian people have no light motives of solace and of hope for better times, there are not lacking circumstances and events which cause anxiety to our paternal heart.

4. Even though the war has ceased in nearly every land, still benign peace has not yet dawned on the minds and hearts of all men; indeed, the sky is still heavy with threatening clouds.

5. We, on our part, do not cease to do all in our power to stave off from the family of nations dangers of threatening disasters; but when human means are unequal to the task, then do We appeal in prayer first of all to God; further, We also exhort all our children in Christ, throughout the world, to implore, together with Us, in ardent prayer the Divine assistance.

6. For this reason, it was comforting for Us in past years to appeal earnestly to all — especially to the young so dear to us — to crowd around the altar of the great Mother of God during the month of May imploring the end of a cruel war; so now, similarly today, by means of this encyclical letter, We invite you not to cease from this pious practice and further to prayers add resolutions for Christian renewal and salutary works of penance.

7. Above all, speak to the Virgin Mother of God and our most tender Mother words of most heartfelt thanks for having obtained, through her powerful intercession, the long desired termination of that great world conflagration, and also for so many other graces obtained from the Most High.

8. At the same time, implore her, with renewed prayers, that at long last there may shine forth, as a gift from Heaven, mutual, fraternal and complete peace among all nations and the longed for harmony among all social classes.

Let there be an end to dissensions that redound to no one’s advantage.

Let there be a reconciliation of disputes that often sow the seeds of further misfortunes.

Let international relations, public and private, be fittingly strengthened.

Let religion, the foster mother of all virtues, enjoy the liberty to which she is entitled.

And let men set about their peaceful work of abundant production for the common welfare — with justice their guide and charity their motive.

9. But you are aware, Venerable Brethren, that our prayers are most readily welcomed by the Most Blessed Virgin when they are not merely fleeting and empty words but the outpouring of hearts adorned with the required virtues.

10. See to it, then, as your apostolic zeal will suggest, that these prayers in common during the month of May are matched by a corresponding reform and revival of Christian conduct.

11. For only from Christian virtues may we hope to see the course of history take its proper, orderly direction, and men empowered not only to achieve prosperity in this world with God’s help but also to enjoy, with the infusion of sanctifying grace. unending happiness in Heaven.

12. But there is another special reason today which brings affliction and keen anxiety to our hearts. We mean to refer to the Holy Places of Palestine, which have long been disturbed.

13. Indeed, if there exists any place that ought to be most dear to every cultured person, surely it is Palestine, where, from the dawn of antiquity, such great light of truth shone for all men, where the Word of God made flesh announced, through the angels’ choir, peace to all men; where, finally, Christ hanging on the Cross acquired salvation for all mankind, with arms outstretched as if He were inviting all nations to fraternal harmony; and where He consecrated His precept of charity with the shedding of His blood.

14. We desire, therefore, Venerable Brethren, that supplications be poured forth to the Most Holy Virgin for this request: that the situation in Palestine may at long last be settled justly and thereby concord and peace be also happily established.

15. We place great confidence in the most powerful patronage of Our Heavenly Mother — a patronage which, during this month dedicated to her, innocent children especially will implore in a holy crusade of prayer.

16. It will be precisely your task to invite and stimulate them with all diligence — not only children but also fathers and mothers, who in great numbers should give them leadership and example.

17. We know well that We have never appealed in vain to the ardent zeal which inflames your hearts. That is why We seem to enjoy already the sight of dense multitudes of children, of men and women, crowding the churches to beg from the great Mother of God all the graces and favors of which we stand in need.

18. May she, who has given us Jesus, obtain for us that all those who have wandered from the path of rectitude may straightway return to Him, moved by salutary contrition.

19. May she obtain for us — she is our kindest Mother, who has shown herself always, in the face of every danger, our powerful helper and channel of grace — may she obtain for us, We say, that even in the midst of the grievous need surrounding us a just solution will be found for disputes, and that a firm and free peace will finally dawn resplendent for the Church and for all nations.

20. Some years ago, as all will remember, while the late war was still in its fury, when human means showed themselves to be uncertain and inadequate to that terrible conflagration, We addressed our fervent prayers to the all merciful Redeemer, invoking the powerful patronage of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

21. And even as our predecessor of immortal memory, Leo XIII, at the dawn of the twentieth century saw fit to consecrate the whole human race to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, so We have likewise, in the guise of representative of the whole human family which He redeemed, desired to dedicate it in turn to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary.

22. It is our wish, consequently, that wherever the opportunity suggests itself, this consecration be made in the various dioceses as well as in each of the parishes and families. And We are confident that abundant blessings and favors from Heaven will surge forth from this private and public consecration.

23. In token of these blessings, and in pledge of our paternal affection, We impart from a full heart the Apostolic Benediction to each of you, Venerable Brethren, to all those who make generous answer to this our letter of exhortation, and particularly to the numerous throngs of our most dear children. (Pope Pius XII, Auspicia Qaedam, May 1, 1948.)

Thus it is, good readers, that we, as always, must redouble our own efforts to quit our sins, be reconciled unto God through the ministration of a true priest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance as he applies to us the merits of Our Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ’s Redemptive Act upon our immortal souls, seek to be converted more and more to the image and likeness of High Priest and King, and never cease in our tender, filial devotion to His Most Blessed Mother by means of her Most Holy Rosary and of our total consecration to her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.

Thus, the “protests” taking place at this time are distractions to keep people, both Catholic and non-Catholic alike, from seeing the world clearly through the eyes of the true Faith and from praying for the conversion of persecutors while accepting persecution as a chastisement for their own sins while seeking justice without malice and offering forgiveness as we ourselves have been forgiven in the Baptismal font and again and again in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance.

On the Feast of Saint Stanislaus

Today is the Feast of Saint Staninslaus, bishop and martyr, who was a courageous witness to the primacy of Holy Mother Church to the civil state. Saint Stanislaus was also opposed to the lustful ways of King Boleslaus, which is quite a contrast to the way that Jorge Mario Bergoglio and friends reaffirm hardened sinners, including those are living in what are, objectively speaking, states of Mortal Sin and are openly supportive of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, including willful murder.

Dom Prosper Gueranger. O.S.B., eulogized Saint Stanislaus as follows:

The 11th Century—the Century of contest between the Priests of the Church and Barbarism—deputes today another Martyr to our Risen Jesus. It is Stanislaus, loved by noble Poland as one of her chief protectors. He was slain at the Altar by a Christian Prince whom he had reproved for his crimes. The blood of the courageous Pontiff was mingled, and in the same sacrifice, with that of our Redeemer. What an invincible energy there is in these Lambs whom Jesus has sent amidst the wolves! They seem to be changed, all at once, into Lions, like Jesus Himself was, at His Resurrection. There is not a Century that has not had its Martyrs: some for the Faith, others for the unity of the Church, others for her Liberty, others for Justice, others for Charity, and others, like our great Saint of today, for the maintenance of Morals. The 19th Century, too, has had its Martyrs; scarcely a year elapses without our hearing of some that have been added to the bright list in the far East; and who knows but what there will be Martyrs even in Europe before the remaining thirty years have transpired? At the commencement of last Century, there was little probability of its providing such an abundant harvest of Martyrdom as it did. Of one thing we are quite sure: whatever persecutions may arise, the Spirit of Fortitude will not be wanting to the Champions of Truth. Martyrdom is one of the Church’s characteristics, and it has never failed her. The Apostles who are clinging to Jesus during these days preceding His Ascension drank the Chalice which He drank; and only yesterday, we were honoring the favorite disciple’s martyrdom—yes, even he had to tread the path prepared for all.

Holy Church tells us, in the account we now subjoin, how the saintly Bishop of Cracow was offered the glorious Chalice, and how courageously he accepted it.

This Stanislaw was a Pole. He was born of a noble family, (on the 26th day of July, in the year of our Lord 1030,) at (Szcrepanow, in the diocese of) Cracow. His godly parents, who had been childless for thirty years, obtained him from God by prayer, and from his earliest years he gave token of the holiness of life which afterwards marked him. When he was a young man he applied himself heartily to all useful learning, and was deeply read in the sacred teaching of the Canons and of Theological science. After the death of his parents he inherited great possessions, but he sold them, and distributed the price to the poor, purposing himself to become a monk. However, by the Providence of God, Lampert, Bishop of Cracow, named him Canon of the Cathedral Church of that diocese, and Preacher in the same and afterwards, in 1072, he was elected, against his own will, to succeed to Lampert's place. In this office he was a bright and shining light of all virtues that become a shepherd of souls, especially of tenderness toward the poor.

At that time Boleslaw II. was King of Poland, and him Stanislaw grievously offended, because he openly rebuked him for his shameless lust. Wherefore, in a solemn Parliament of his kingdom, he made Stanislaw to be brought before him on a false accusation of having taken wrongfully a certain village, which he had bought in the name of his Church. The Bishop could not rebut this charge by documents, and the witnesses were in too great fear to speak the truth. Stanislaw therefore said that in three days he would produce before the judgment-seat one Peter, from whom he had bought the village, and who had been dead three years. His enemies laughed thereat, and closed with his proposal, and the man of God gave himself up to fasting and prayer for three days. On the day which he had promised, after he had offered up the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, he commanded Peter to rise from the grave. Peter then immediately came to life, arose, and followed Stanislaw to the King's judgment-seat, where before the King and all others, who were struck dumb with amazement, he bore witness of the sale of the village, and the honest payment of the price by the Bishop, and then again fell asleep in the Lord.

Stanislaw often rebuked Boleslaw, but when he found it was in vain, he at last cut him off from the communion of Christ's faithful people. Thereupon Boleslaw became frenzied with rage, and on the 8th of May, in the year 1079, sent soldiers to the Church to murder the holy Bishop. This they thrice essayed to do, but God was pleased that they should be held back by some unseen power. In the end, the ungodly King with his own hand cut off the head of the Priest of God as he was standing at the Altar offering up the Sacrifice without spot. His body was hewn into pieces and strewn about the fields, but the eagles strangely kept the beasts of prey off it. The Canons of the Cathedral of Cracow soon gathered together the mutilated and scattered limbs, which they were enabled to see by a lightness which overspread the sky at night and they fitted them together, each into his place. The relics immediately so joined themselves one to the other, that no marks of wounds remained. Moreover, God was pleased to manifest the holiness of His servant by many wonders after his death, by the which being moved, Pope Innocent IV. added his name to those of the Saints, and the Supreme Pontiff Clement VIII. gave his Feast a place in the Service Book of the Church of Rome, commanding that the memory of so glorious a Martyr should be everywhere celebrated under the Double rite. (Matins, The Divine Office, Feast of Saint Stanislaus.)

Dom Prosper Gueranger’s prayer to our Saint should inspire us all to rise above our trust, if any, in the princes of the world, and to recognize that fidelity to the Catholic Faith is the only foundation of our personal sanctification and salvation, which are the necessary prerequisites for order within nations and peace among them as men cannot be at peace with each other if they are not at peace with Christ the King by means of souls that are in a state of Sanctifying Grace:

Thou wast powerful in word and work, O Stanislaus! and our Lord rewarded thee with a Martyr’s crown. From thy throne of glory, cast a look of pity upon us; obtain for us from God that gift of fortitude, which was so prominent in thee, and which we so much need in order to surmount the obstacles which impede our progress. Our Risen Lord must have no cowards among his soldiers. The Kingdom, into which He is about to enter—He took it by assault; and He tells us plainly that if we would follow Him thither, we must prepare to use violence. Brave soldier of the living God! get us brave hearts. We need them for our combat—whether that be one of open violence for the Faith or Unity of the Church, or one which is to be fought with the invisible enemies of our salvation. Thou wast indeed a good shepherd, for the presence of the world neither made thee flee nor fear—ask our Heavenly Father to send us Shepherds like thee. Succor Holy Church, for she has to contend with enemies in every part of the world. Convert her persecutors, as thou convertedst Boleslaus; he was thy murderer, but thy Martyrdom won mercy for him. Remember thy dear Poland, which honors thee with such fervent devotion. Break the iron yoke that has so long crushed her. Yes—it is time for her to regain her rank among nations. During the severe trials, which her sins have drawn down upon her, she has maintained the sacred link of Catholic Faith and Unity; she has been patient and faithful; ask our Risen Jesus to have pity on her, and reward her patience and fidelity. May He mercifully grant her a share in His Resurrection—that day will be one of joy for the whole Christian world, and a new Canticle will be sung throughout the earth, to the Lord our God.

We need the likes of Saint Stanislaus today to call wickedness by its proper name and to oppose and denounce the ramblings of the likes of John Rogers without fear of the consequences.

May Our Lady, she who is our Mother of Perpetual Help and Help of Christians, intercede for us now in this month of May so that our total consecration to her Divine Son through her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart and our faithful, prayerful meditation on her Most Holy Rosary will plant a few seeds for the restoration of Holy Mother Church and of the Social Reign of Christ the King in the world.
