Benedictus Qui Venit in Nomine Domini, Hosanna in Excelsis, part thirteen
The Zionist State of Israel has resumed its genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza and, at the same time, is also attacking Palestinians in the West Bank, which just happens be where the birthplace, Bethlehem of the Price of Peace, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is located. Israeli officials have said the new “offensive” was necessary because of Hamas’s refusal to release the remaining Israeli hostages its terrorists took on Saturday, October 7, 2023, the Feast of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the four hundred fifty-second anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto.
Additionally, President Donald John Trump has ordered airstrikes in Yemen to attack Houthi strongholds, doing so without any Congressional Declaration of War nor even asking for some kind of Congressional authorization to undertake such deadly action that is killing innocent civilians.
Former United States Representative Dr. Ronald Paul (R-Texas) summarized this ruthless and unconstitutional use of American military force on behalf of the Israel government while noting that the Houthis would not be attacking American shipping of the government of the United States of America was not continuing to enable the Israeli genocide against the Palestinians:
Over the weekend President Trump ordered a massive military operation against the small country of Yemen. Was Yemen in the process of attacking the United States? No. Did the President in that case go to Congress and seek a declaration of war against the country? No. The fact is, Yemen hadn’t even threatened the United States before the bombs started falling.
Last year, candidate Trump strongly criticized the Biden Administration’s obsession with foreign interventionism to the detriment of our problems at home. In an interview at the Libertarian National Convention, he criticized Biden’s warmongering to podcaster Tim Pool, saying, “You can solve problems over a telephone. Instead they start dropping bombs. Recently, they’re dropping bombs all over Yemen. You don’t have to do that.”
Yet once in office, Trump turned to military force as his first option. Since the Israel/Hamas ceasefire plan negotiated by President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, Yemen has left Red Sea shipping alone. However, after Israel implemented a total blockade of humanitarian relief to citizens of Gaza last week, Houthi leaders threatened to again begin blocking Idsrael’s Red Sea shipping activities.
That was enough for President Trump to drop bombs and launch missiles for hours, killing several dozen Yemeni civilians – including women and children – in the process.
After the attack, Trump not only threatened much more force to be used against Yemen, but he also threatened Iran. His National Security Advisor Mike Waltz added that the US may start bombing Iranian ships in the area, a move that would certainly lead to a major Middle East war.
Like recent Presidents Bush and Obama, candidate Trump promised peace after four years of Joe Biden’s warmongering and World War III brinkmanship. There is little doubt that with our war-weary population this proved the margin of his victory. Unfortunately, as with Bush and Obama, now that he is President, he appears to be heading down a different path.
The Republican Party is gradually becoming a pro-peace, America first party, but the warmongers and neocons of the old line in the Party are not going to let go so easily. Unfortunately many of these dead-enders have found their way to senior positions in Trump’s Administration, with voices of restraint and non-intervention nearly nowhere in sight among his top tier of advisors.
To solve the Yemen problem we must understand it: Russian and Chinese ships, for example, are not being threatened because they are not enabling the Israeli demolition of Gaza. The slaughter there has been facilitated with US money and US weapons. It is the US doing Israel’s bidding both in Gaza and in the Red Sea that is painting a target on us and unnecessarily putting our troops at risk of retaliation.
The US government, starting with Biden and continuing now with Trump, seems eager to make this our war even though, as Rep. Thomas Massie pointed out over the weekend, Red Sea shipping is of minor importance to the US economy.
In a real “America first” foreign policy we would be following the Russian and Chinese lead and staying out of the conflict. It’s not our war. End US military involvement in the Middle East and our troubles disappear. It really is that simple. (President Trump: Stop Bombing Yemen and Exit the Middle East.)
Dr. Paul is entirely correct, at least on a natural level.
Admitting full well that Hamas is a Mohammedan terrorist organization that is just as ruthless and amoral as those they oppose within the Israeli Defense Force, it is nevertheless true that Israeli attacks upon Gaza have continued during the “ceasefire.” What has happened recently is a restoration of full-scale Israeli attacks in the past few days that have been a number of innocent civilians killed in Gaza:
- Gaza’s Health Ministry says 591 Palestinians, including 200 children, have been killed and 1,042 injured in the enclave since Israel shattered the ceasefire on Tuesday.
- At least 110 people have been killed since dawn today in the war-torn territory, according to our colleagues at Al Jazeera Arabic.
- As Israeli ground troops join the attack on Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warns of a “larger and stronger front” in the occupied West Bank in addition to a “fierce war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip”.
- Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 49,617 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 112,950 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. Gaza’s Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attacks and more than 200 were taken captive.
While Israel has not formally declared war on the occupied West Bank, its ongoing military escalation there has reached an unprecedented scale, Amjad Abu El Ezz, a professor of political science at the Arab American University in Ramallah, says.
“It’s obvious that there is an Israeli plan that’s been planned a long time ago,” El Ezz said. He pointed to statements by Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich about plans to expand illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
“The dream of the far-right ministers and Netanyahu’s government is to solve the West Bank problem simply by getting rid of the Palestinians, mainly in the refugee camps.”
The more than half a million Palestinians living in some 20 refugee camps across the territory are particularly vulnerable, El Ezz added.
“The Israelis are targeting these people for two reasons: for the short term, to make the life of Palestinian refugees in these places impossible, forcing them to leave, and because they think that the refugee camps are the hosts of the Palestinian resistance.” (LIVE: Israel kills 15 in Khan Younis with more than 100 dead today in Gaza.)
DEIR-AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — Israeli strikes killed at least 85 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip overnight and into Thursday, according to local health officials. Hours later, Hamas fired three rockets at Israel without causing casualties, in the first such attack since Israel broke their ceasefire.
Israel resumed heavy strikes across Gaza on Tuesday, shattering the truce that had facilitated the release of more than two dozen hostages and brought relative calm since late January. Israeli bombardments in the past three days have killed at least 592 people, said Zaher al-Waheidi, the head of the records department at the Gaza Health Ministry.
The Israeli military said it was again enforcing a blockade on northern Gaza, including Gaza City. Palestinians were not being ordered to leave northern Gaza but can no longer enter, the military said, and are only allowed to move south on foot using the coastal road. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had returned to what remains of their homes in the north during the ceasefire.
Early Friday, Israel’s Cabinet unanimously approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s request to fire the head of the country’s Shin Bet internal security service. The late-night decision to sack Ronen Bar deepens a power struggle focused largely over who bears responsibility for the Hamas attack that sparked the war in Gaza.
It also could set the stage for a crisis over the country’s division of powers. Israel’s attorney general has ruled that the Cabinet has no legal basis to dismiss Bar.
Israeli ground forces, meanwhile, are pushing into Gaza near the northern town of Beit Lahiya and the southern border city of Rafah, the military said Thursday. The operations come a day after Israel moved to split Gaza in two by retaking part of the strategic Netzarim corridor that divides Gaza's north from south.
The military ordered Palestinians to evacuate an area in central Gaza near the city of Khan Younis, saying it would operate there in response to Thursday’s rocket fire from Hamas. The Palestinian militant group said it targeted Tel Aviv. One rocket was intercepted and two fell in open areas, according to the army.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels also launched two missiles at Israel, one early Thursday morning and another in the evening, the military said. Both were intercepted before reaching Israeli airspace, according to the army, and no injuries were reported. Air raid sirens rang out and exploding interceptor rockets were heard in Jerusalem. There have been three such attacks since the United States began a new campaign of airstrikes against the Houthis earlier this week.
A ‘bloody night’ for hard-hit Gaza
Gaza’s Health Ministry said overnight Israeli strikes killed at least 85 people, mostly women and children. The ministry's records do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.
The Indonesian Hospital said it received 19 bodies after strikes in Beit Lahiya, near Gaza's northern border, which was heavily destroyed and largely depopulated earlier in the war.
“It was a bloody night for the people of Beit Lahiya,” said Fares Awad, head of the Health Ministry’s emergency service in northern Gaza, adding that rescuers were still searching the rubble. “The situation is catastrophic.”
Israel’s military said Thursday its airstrikes in Gaza had killed the head of Hamas’ internal security apparatus and two other militant commanders. Israel has said it only targets militants and blames civilian deaths on Hamas because it operates in densely populated areas. A United Nations-backed group of human rights experts accused Israel last week of “disproportionate violence against women and children” during the war in Gaza.
One of the strikes early Thursday hit the Abu Daqa family’s home in Abasan al-Kabira, a village outside Khan Younis near the border with Israel. It was in an area the Israeli military ordered evacuated earlier this week, encompassing most of eastern Gaza.
The strike killed at least 16 people, mostly women and children, according to the nearby European Hospital, which received the dead. Those killed included a father and his seven children, as well as the parents and brother of a month-old baby who survived along with her grandparents.
“Another tough night,” said Hani Awad, who was helping rescuers search for more survivors in the rubble. “The house collapsed over the people’s heads.”
War in Gaza has no end in sight
U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration reiterated its support for Israel, with White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt saying, “The president made it very clear to Hamas that if they did not release all of the hostages there would be all hell to pay.”
Israel, which cut off the supply of food, fuel and humanitarian aid to Gaza's roughly 2 million Palestinians, has vowed to intensify its operations until Hamas releases the 59 hostages it holds — 24 of whom are believed alive — and gives up control of the territory.
Hamas says it will only release the remaining hostages in exchange for a lasting ceasefire and a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as called for in the ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States, Egypt and Qatar.
Hamas says it's willing to hand over power to the Western-backed Palestinian Authority or a committee of political independents but will not lay down its arms until Israel ends its decades-long occupation of lands the Palestinians want for a future state.
Shin Bet chief's dismissal deepens Israeli political turmoil
Netanyahu said Sunday he would seek Bar’s dismissal, saying he had lost faith in his security chief.
But critics say the move is a power grab by Netanyahu against an independent-minded civil servant.
Tens of thousands of Israelis have demonstrated across the country in recent days in support of Bar, including a mass gathering outside Netanyahu’s office late Thursday in the pouring rain.
A Shin Bet report into the Oct. 7 attack acknowledged failures by the security agency. But it also said that policies by Netanyahu’s government created the conditions for the attack.
Netanyahu is also upset that the Shin Bet has launched an investigation into connections between some of his close aides and the Gulf state of Qatar. His office said Bar's dismissal would take effect on April 10 or before then if a replacement is found.
Bar did not attend the meeting but sent a letter to the Cabinet ahead of time protesting the firing.
He said the dismissal was meant to hinder the agency from further investigating the failures of Oct. 7 and undermining the investigation into whether Qatar influenced the prime minister’s office.
“This is a direct danger to the security of the state of Israel,” Bar wrote.
The war began when Hamas-led militants stormed into southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, killing some 1,200 people and taking 251 hostage. Most of the hostages have been freed in ceasefire agreements or other deals. Israeli forces have rescued eight living hostages and recovered the bodies of dozens more.
Israel's retaliatory offensive has killed more than 49,000 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. It does not say how many were militants, but says more than half of those killed were women and children. Israel says it has killed around 20,000 militants, without providing evidence.
The war at its height displaced around 90% of Gaza's population and has caused vast destruction across the territory. (Israeli strikes across Gaza hit multiple homes, killing at least 85 Palestinians.)
Although I have mentioned this before in this multipart series that began seventeen months ago, it is worthwhile to note once again that, acknowledging the small percentage of Palestinian Christians (Latin Rite and Maronite Rite Catholics, members of Orthodox sects), the principal combatants in the Middle East, the Mohammedans and the Talmudists, have souls that are captive to the devil by means of Original Sin and thus are prone to hatred and violence to “resolve” their differences. Despite all their differences, Mohammedans and Talmudists are both united in their rejection of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Sacred Divinity of the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and both of their “holy books,” the Koran for the Talmud for the Jews, contain passages blaspheming Our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother. Moreover, both diabolically inspired books treat infidels as worthy of contempt and, if necessary, death.
Indeed, there are rabbis in Israel who teach openly what Israeli officials have always believed but do not state publicly, namely, that there are no innocent Palestinians and that is completely morally justified to kill Palestinian women and children as well as other non-combatant Palestinians:
(LifeSiteNews) — Behind ghastly reports of thousands of children being targeted for assassination, starvation and death by the Israeli army during its genocidal attack upon over two million Palestinians in Gaza, is an ideology which most Westerners may find difficult to believe: rabbis of extremist Jewish Zionist sects who counsel and even demand Israeli soldiers target and kill all the children, women, and men in the Gaza Strip.
“The basic law in a religious war, and in this case in Gaza, is ‘do not spare any soul,’” instructed Rabbi Eliyahu Mali in March of last year. “The logic of this is very clear: if you don’t kill them, they will attempt to kill you.”
Mali was lecturing a group of students enrolled in his Jaffa-based academy which combines studies of religious texts with Israeli military service. “Today’s terrorists are the children of the prior [military] operation that left them alive. The women are essentially the ones who are producing the terrorists,” he proposed.
“It’s either you or them. And in reality, ‘do not spare any soul’ is based on the doctrine that says, ‘he who comes to kill you in the afternoon, kill him in the morning’” (Babylonian Talmud), he continued. “And the one who ‘comes to kill you’ here, in the broad sense, is not the person who is 18, 16, 20, 30 years old, the one who pointed his weapon at you, but also the next generation, and also those who give birth to the next generation, because in reality there is no difference.”
In response to a student’s inquiry regarding how he relates this directive to the elderly, Mali said “there is no such thing as an innocent creature by the way, the elderly man is capable of carrying a rifle and shooting. Therefore, the Torah concept is very clear in the ruling.”
When asked, “children too should be killed?” the rabbi replied, “the same thing and that’s because you can’t be clever with the Torah. When the Torah says, ‘do not spare any soul’ then you must not spare any soul.”
“Today he is a youth and tomorrow he is a fighter. The fighters, or those whom we call saboteurs, who are 18 years old today, were eight years old in the previous war,” he said. “Therefore, you must not stop [killing].”
Rabbi: ‘no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians’
While many tens of thousands of Jews reject Zionism altogether, at least some even calling the militant religious movement “satanic,” as many thousands more wholly reject Israel’s present “sadistic” genocide as well, such fundamentalist views—as expressed by Mali—are not as rare as one would hope, nor their influence.
Indeed, as articulated by Israeli historian Benny Morris, the notion of expelling all the Palestinians from their land “is as old as modern Zionism and has accompanied its evolution and praxis during the past century.”
And in the late 1930s, David Ben-Gurion, who became Israel’s first prime minister, stated that such expulsions of the native population would require “brutal compulsion,” which was first exercised during the Nakba of 1948 when the Israeli army compelled more than 700,000 Palestinians to flee for their lives abandoning their homes, lands, and livelihoods while barring their return.
Serving to form the types of soldiers who may be willing to execute such objectives, which violate fundamental common-sense morality, a “rabbinical” imprimatur of certain violent strands of religious Zionism have been employed for some time.
Whether it is a rabbi’s obscenely unjust demand that a West Bank town be “wiped off the face of the earth” in 1988, or a high ranking former Chief Rabbi advising the nation’s prime minster that “there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians” during a potential military offensive on Gaza in 2007, such violent extremism has fostered unconscionable atrocities in the region for 77 years.
‘The Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children’
In 2009, Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Manis Friedman articulated the same principles as Mali when asked how Jews in Israel should treat their Arab neighbors.
“I don’t believe in Western morality,” he wrote. “The only way to fight a moral war is the Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children (and cattle).”
fter receiving significant criticism, Friedman, a high-profile best-selling author from Minnesota, backtracked from the statement claiming such measures could only be done in “self-defense.”
However, at least one Jewish critic of the Chabad movement, Shmarya Rosenberg, said at the time, “What he’s saying is the standard normal view of a Chabadnik… They just don’t say it in public.”
Behind closed doors, teaching young soon-to-be Israeli soldiers in 2018, another rabbi named Ophir Wallas instructed that as Jews they were permitted to wipe out the Palestinian people, “all of them,” in order to take their land. And only fear of a massive international retaliation prevented such a course of action, until, apparently, a more opportune time.
‘Ruler of Israel’ rabbi promotes genocide, ethnic cleansing: ‘Kill all their children’
In 2010, extreme religious Zionist rabbis associated with the Kach movement, founded by the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, published a book titled The King’s Torah which sought to provide a type of religious justification for genocidal atrocities against Palestinian civilians, including children.
In the text, which an Israeli tabloid described as a manual for “Jewish terror,” co-author rabbis Yitzhak Shapira and Yosef Elitzur wrote that the 5th Commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Murder,” applies only “to a Jew who kills a Jew.” The book also sanctions the killing of non-Jews, including the children and babies of Israel’s enemies since “it is clear that they will grow to harm us.”
Without describing how he knows the future of non-Jewish children, Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi of New York State explains this notion, “Do not have mercy on the children. Kill all their children also. Why? There’s no difference between them and their children. In ten years from now, these children will attack you on the way.”
Prominent Israeli settler Rabbi Dov Lior, who is described by Middle East Eye as the spiritual leader of Israel’s entire extremist Religious Zionism political coalition that became part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s present government in 2022, provided written support for The King’s Torah in 2011.
One of Lior’s disciples, Baruch Goldstein, also murdered 29 innocent Palestinians at a mosque in Hebron in 1994. The senior rabbi, whose influence is so prominent he has been dubbed the “Ruler of Israel,” lauded Goldstein afterwards as “holier than all the martyrs of the Holocaust.”
During Israel’s invasion of Gaza in 2014, Lior issued a religious ruling which appears prophetic. The rabbi’s pronouncement asserted it was morally permissible for Israel to destroy the entire Gaza Strip, including the extermination of the civilian population.
Israel is “permitted to punish the enemy population with whatever measures it deems proper, like blocking supplies or electricity. It may bomb the entire area,” he wrote, adding that “deterrent measures to exterminate the enemy” were allowed.
Following statements of outrage from more moderate leaders at the time, Lior doubled down later that year reasserting Ben-Gurion’s earlier stated Zionist goal to ethnically cleanse all the Palestinians from the land saying the region must be “clean of Arabs.”
After a criticism of Lior from a member of the Knesset in 2013, an advertisement appeared in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz with a laudatory statement of support for “the great Rabbi Lior,” calling him a “teacher of tens of thousands” and attacking his critics in the Knesset. The statement was signed by “105 important rabbis.”
Radical religious Zionists begin to take power in Israel
Hence, the extremist racist Kach movement, which advocates for the violent expulsion of the Palestinian people from their internationally recognized lands, has been showing steady political growth from its early existence when it was considered fringe and even designated a terrorist organization by the State of Israel in 1994.
As more radical Zionist settlers have immigrated to Israel, the sentiments of this ideology increasingly surfaced among political leaders including members of the Knesset. In 2014, Israel’s justice minister Ayelet Shaked made headlines describing the entire Palestinian population as “the enemy” and called for an all-out genocidal war against them.
In 2018, during a non-violent demonstration of Gazans, where Israeli snipers shot and killed 183 people, including the intentional targeting of children, injuring at least 1,600 more Palestinians, Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman defended his army’s actions stating there are “no innocent people in Gaza,” relegating the entire civilian population to legitimate military targets.
Rabbi: Christians ‘blood sucking vampires,’ churches should be torched
By 2022, the Kach movement appeared to cross a new threshold of power when one of its former participants, Knesset member Itamar Ben-Gvir, joined Netanyahu’s coalition government and assumed the office of the nation’s Minister of National Security, despite having been convicted in the past for at least eight charges including supporting a terrorist organization which initiates violent racist attacks against Palestinians.
While his spiritual inspiration, Rabbi Meir Kahane, referred to Palestinians as “dogs” who “must sit quietly or get the hell out,” Ben-Gvir also displayed a portrait of the mass-murdering Jewish terrorist Goldstein in his home until he entered politics. He is also quoted as considering Kahane to be a “saint.”
At a 2022 memorial service for Kahane, the soon-to-be Minister of National Security at the time shared a podium with Rabbi Lior and others, including Rabbi Bentzi Gopstein who has called Christians “blood sucking vampires,” demanded their expulsion from the Holy Land and advocated for the burning of churches.
Joining Netanyahu’s coalition as well was another resident of an illegal West Bank settlement, Religious Zionism party leader Bezalel Smotrich, who became Minister of Finance. He has proclaimed that his “life’s mission” is to defy the will of the overwhelming number of national governments in the world by thwarting the two-state solution, providing Palestinians with three options: “residency with no right to vote,” migration or death.
Radical rabbinical influence upon Israeli politicians confirmed following Oct. 7 attack
Following the October 7, 2023 Hamas break-out attack upon Israeli-held territory outside the Gaza Strip, the seeming undercurrent of such genocidal views swiftly emerged among an array of Israeli political leaders. On one occasion, Smotrich asserted out loud that it would be “right and moral” to starve the two million Palestinians (1 million children) in Gaza “to death.”
In fact, right off the bat when this genocidal campaign began Defense Minister Yoav Gallant committed an international war crime ordering “a complete siege on Gaza… There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel. Everything will be closed. We are fighting against human animals, and we are acting accordingly.”
One month later, proposing a justification for this genocide, Rabbi Meir Maroz reasserted this dehumanization saying “If they [people of Gaza] were humans, we would have sent them humanitarian aid…but this is about animals.”
Netanyahu also infamously evoked a biblical analogy referring to the Hebrew’s enemies which was widely interpreted as a genocidal call to destroy the Palestinian people in Gaza. “You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible – we do remember,” he said during an official video statement.
Israeli president Isaac Herzog asserted, “there are no innocent civilians in Gaza…It is an entire nation out there that is responsible.” Knesset member Tally Goltiv demanded, “Bring down the buildings! Bomb without distinction!!… Without mercy!”
“These are animals, they have no right to exist,” said Israeli education minister Yoav Kisch. “There should be no limits to the response. I said it a million times, until we see hundreds of thousands fleeing Gaza, we, the IDF has not achieved its mission.”
“Erase Gaza. Nothing else will satisfy us,” said Knesset Deputy Speaker Nissim Vaturi. “Do not leave a child there[,] expel anyone who remains there when it ends, so that they won’t re-establish.”
Very many more genocidal statements from Israeli leaders were documented in numerous official reports demonstrating positive intent for the nation to commit genocide, the worst of all international crimes. This crime was defined by the Genocide Convention of 1948 of which Israel remains a signatory.
Soldiers formed by radical rabbis, thousands of children ‘sniper shot,’ ‘incinerated,’ ‘shredded,’ ‘crushed by buildings’
The influence of this radical violent rabbinic interpretation of the Torah has also naturally made its impact in both the Israeli military and the broader national population as well.
Due in part to the establishment of pre-military academies (mechinot) like Mali’s where students are taken through certain courses in religion utilizing the Torah and Talmud (Hesder program), a disproportionate number of combat troops and officers in the Israeli army identify as religious Zionists.
Despite only accounting for 12 to 14% of the broader Jewish Israeli population, religious Zionists make up around 40% of graduates from the Israeli army’s infantry schools. This is an approximately 15-fold increase since the early 1990s when this number was only 2.5%, much lower than Jewish Israelis who came from secular backgrounds. It is further reported that 88% of Hesder graduates serve in combat roles, compared to a 30% national average.
Given the types of training evidently received in these Hesder programs, that soldiers should not “spare any soul,” and “kill men, women and children,” perhaps it should not be surprising when last July forty-five American physicians, surgeons and nurses—who had volunteered in Gaza since October 2023—wrote in a letter addressed to Joe Biden that “every one of us on a daily basis treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head and chest.”
“No toddler gets shot twice by mistake by ‘the world’s best sniper,’” commented one of the letter’s signatories, Dr. Mark Perlmutter. In his testimony he stated that all the disasters he had seen over thirty years and 40 medical mission trips, combined, did not “equal the level of carnage” he saw “against civilians in just my first week in Gaza.”
The North Carolina-based physician further stated that the victims of such carnage are “almost exclusively children.” His testimony includes seeing scores of children “incinerated,” “shredded,” “missing body parts,” and “being crushed by buildings,” with other accounts confirming deaths by starvation.
Reliable reports of Palestinian deaths since October 7, 2023 include at least 48,388 killed in Gaza, approximately 14,564 children, with 111,803 injured, and more than 10,000 children who have lost at least one leg. These numbers do not include approximately 11,000 individuals who are missing and presumed dead under the rubble.
According to a rationale presented in a Lancet study last July, one can conservatively estimate total deaths, including indirect fatalities due to causes like starvation, lack of medicine or proper medical care to include 241,940 (106,453 children).
Broader Jewish Israeli population in general agreement with radical rabbis’ agenda
With religious Zionist settlers and their children participating directly in the blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza as an attempt to starve its 2 million people to death, polls have shown over this period that the broader Israeli population is in general agreement with them in their desire to exterminate Gaza’s population, 70% of whom are regarded as refugees according to the UN, having survived previous violent displacements by the Israelis in 1948 and 1967.
Despite Israel’s horrendous bombing in the Gaza Strip, with the world being inundated with images of entire neighborhoods destroyed, men lifting the corpses of their bloodied and broken children from the rubble, and dirty frantic hospitals treating patients with missing limbs, one late October 2023 Tel Aviv University poll found that 58 percent of Israeli Jews said the army was using too little firepower in its assault on Gaza, and less than 2 percent said it was too much.
Another poll conducted in December 2023 asked, “To what extent should Israel take into consideration the suffering of the civilian population in Gaza when planning the continuation of the fighting there?” Over 80 percent of Jewish Israelis answered, “to a very small extent” or “to a fairly small extent” (40 and 41 percent respectively).
Additionally, in January, 2024, an Israeli Channel 12 poll found that 72% of Israelis believe humanitarian aid to the 2 million Gazan civilians, including 1 million children, “must be stopped until the Israeli prisoners are released” by Hamas.
Equivalent of five atomic bombs dropped on Gaza with citizens’ approval, Israel a ‘satanic state’
By April, Israel had dropped over 70,000 tons of explosives on Gaza surpassing the tonnage dropped during World War II on Dresden, Hamburg, and London combined. These attacks have damaged or destroyed an estimated 69% of structures in Gaza including at least 245,000 homes.
Furthermore, the explosive capacity of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki equated to around 15,000 tons of TNT each which means Israel had already dropped the equivalent of almost 5 atomic bombs in Gaza by this time.
Yet even as this massive destruction and astronomical death toll was compounding every day, a May 2024 Pew Research survey found comparable numbers to previous polls with 34% of Israeli respondents still saying Israel’s military response against the Palestinians in Gaza had not gone far enough, 39% saying it had been about right, and only 19% believing it had gone too far.
Finally, last month, President Donald Trump surprised the world when during a press conference with Netanyahu he announced his plan for the United States to “take over” and “own” the Gaza Strip turning it into a large beach resort. This plan included the president’s intent to “permanently” ethnically cleanse two million Palestinians from their internationally recognized native territory, thus fulfilling this long-time Zionist goal of mass expulsion, a serious war crime.
Despite the plan’s overwhelming rejection by virtually the entire rest of the world, a February poll of Israeli adults conducted by the local Channel 12 found that a full 68% of respondents supported Trump’s criminal ethnic cleansing plan, while 20% opposed it with 12% saying they were unsure.
In reflecting not only on the Israeli leadership’s statements supporting genocidal ends in Gaza and the operations of the Israeli army executing such objectives, but also on the high levels of support for genocide among the nation’s citizens, Jewish Middle East scholar Norman Finkelstein reluctantly concluded over a year ago that Israel is “a satanic state.”
Views of radical Zionist sects normative for significant swaths of Jewish diaspora?
While the rantings of extremist rabbis such as Mali, Friedman, Wallace and Lior have often been dismissed as fringe perspectives that have little influence, the resulting impact of these fundamentalist Jewish Zionist sects cannot be overestimated. These horrendous effects on Israel’s general population, military, and political leaders have come into great relief since October 7, 2023, for the whole world to see.
And these pervasive ideas seem to hold sway in the Jewish diaspora as well. Citing one recent example, a prominent St. Louis, Missouri Chief Rabbi named Jeffrey Abraham was called out earlier this month for a social media post where he asserted there are “no ‘innocent civilians’ in Gaza,” “all the people in Gaza are Hamas” and agreed with the dehumanizing statement that Gazans are “Animals. Period. Full stop.”
“It is this kind of dehumanizing rhetoric that the Nazis used to justify the mass murder of the Jews of Europe in the 1940s and Hutu militias used to justify the mass murder of Tutsis in Rwanda in the 1990s,” wrote local resident Michael Berg. “And now here the language is being used in St. Louis to justify the mass murder of Palestinians.”
Berg went on to criticize several Jewish organizations who refrained from taking issue with Abraham, also stating that not a single St. Louis rabbi issued a statement against it. “One can only conclude that those who consider themselves the leaders of the establishment Jewish community support Abraham’s genocidal ideas, or at least consider them part of the acceptable range of official Jewish views,” he concluded.
Media double-standard: Characterize Palestinians with one obsolete phrase while simultaneously ignoring plethora of genocidal directives from Israeli leaders
While one severely antisemitic reference was included in the original 1988 Hamas charter, calling for Muslims to “fight the Jews (kill the Jews),” the organization’s 2017 Charter revision effectively disowned this language and rather clarified:
Hamas affirms that its conflict is with the Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion. Hamas does not wage a struggle against the Jews because they are Jewish but wages a struggle against the Zionists who occupy Palestine. Yet, it is the Zionists who constantly identify Judaism and the Jews with their own colonial project and illegal entity.
Though Zionist public relations strategies emphasize using the single obsolete passage from the earlier charter as propaganda “gold,” repeating it “again and again” in the western media to engender sympathy from their Western audiences, it may be useful to consider the contrast and ask a question.
As the Israeli military is apparently targeting children, women and the elderly for death in the Gaza Strip, with the zealous support of their Jewish Zionist population, the emphatic voices of their political leaders and specific encouragement—with spiritual sanction—from high numbers of their rabbinic leaders, legacy media organizations just may wish to consider whether such calls for the genocidal death of tens of thousands of children may be worthy of a bit more media coverage especially for American taxpayers who have been forced to underwrite these crimes.
In the meantime, Israel resumed its full blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza on March 5. Also, on Tuesday, thanks to President Trump recently selling the Zionist state 35,500 more U.S. death bombs, restarted its large-scale bombing of displaced families, killing at least 404 Palestinians, including 174 children, 89 women and 32 seniors. (Israeli extremist rabbis instruct soldiers heading to Gaza: ‘Kill all their children’.)
These monstrous attitudes are what must develop when men do not see in each other the Divine impress and thus treat all others as they would treat Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the very Flesh. Yet there are millions of “Christian Zionists” who are full-throated cheerleaders for everything that Israel does in the mistaken belief that their erroneous concepts of “Biblical prophecy” are being fulfilled before their very eyes. Part of this erroneous "Biblical prophecy," I suppose, must include bombings that took place near the only Catholic church in Gaza City, Holy Family Church, in the past few days and would include a defense of Israeli snipers killing two noncombatant women inside of that church sixteen months ago:
(LifeSiteNews) — A Catholic priest in Gaza has told the Vatican that Israeli bombing strikes came within 400 meters of his church after the building had been targeted by Israeli snipers in prior stages of the conflict with Israel.
Father Gabriel Romanelli told Vatican News that Israeli bombing raids earlier this week came notably close to hitting his Holy Family Catholic parish in Gaza.
“The shelling woke us up, they were nearby, 300-400 meters away,” Romanelli said Tuesday. According to the parish priest of Gaza, the parish church was not hit but initial strikes left “more than 350 dead and more than a thousand wounded.”
He expressed the hope that the resurgence of strikes coming from Israel “will not put an end to the ceasefire, that the war will not start again; in this period we have seen that more humanitarian aid, especially food, has entered.”
Some of Romanelli’s parishioners who had fled had recently begun to return under the ceasefire which had been in effect in recent weeks between Israel and Hamas. Now, he said, they are reconsidering a return “because the news is not good and for them, therefore, it is safer ‘from Jesus,’ despite the fact that there is no safe part in the whole strip.”
Romanelli’s parish of the Holy Family has not been spared as the conflict in the region has dragged on.
Infamously, Israeli snipers were accused of murdering two women who were part of a number of refugees sheltering in the building in late 2023.
“Seven more people were shot and wounded as they tried to protect others inside the church compound,” declared the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (LPJ). “No warning was given, no notification was provided. They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the parish, where there are no belligerents.”
The LPJ added that Israeli forces had destroyed the parish’s generator and supplies, despite the church being designated as a place of worship and therefore should be exempt from the hostilities. This destruction meant that a number of the disabled people taking refuge in the church precinct were without the necessary respirators they used.
Then, in the summer of 2024, the parish was struck by the Israeli Air Force, killing several. (Gaza's Catholic priest says church nearly hit again by Israeli bombs.)
Don't kid yourselves, folks. The members of the Israeli Defense Forces have been indoctrinated to hate and thus to dehumanize all non-Jews, and it is no exaggeration to state that they hate Catholics and other Christians more than they hate the Mohammedans.
The Talmudists believe themselves to be the “Chosen People” even though that the true Chosen People after Our Lord’s Redemptive Act on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday are members of His Catholic Church as they, the Talmudists, much like the Biblical Jews at the time of Our Lord’s Nativity, believe in the concept of a political Messias who would thunderously manifest himself out of a mountainside to restore Israel to what they believe is its rightly place, Biblically, territorially, and politically.
Neither the Biblical Jews of Our Lord’s time nor their Talmudic successors today accept the fact that the Messias would manifest Himself as a helpless Babe Who was to be born of a virgin in poverty and anonymity and thence submit Himself to the authority of His Blessed Mother and His foster-Father, Saint Joseph, prior to embarking upon a Public Ministry that would conclude with His atoning for Adam’s sin on the wood of the Holy Cross. The thought of a personal Messias who would redeem men from their sins on the instrument of Roman execution for criminals, the cross, was repulsive to the minds of the Jews two millennia ago and it is just as repulsive to the Talmudists of today. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was opposed by the Jews during His life and His Holy Apostles were opposed by the Jews after Pentecost Sunday, and they worked against the establishment of Christendom in Europe during the First Millennium and then worked insidiously to effects its downfall so that the secular, religiously indifferentist civil state of Modernity would supplant Holy Mother Church as a means of “secular salvation.”
The Talmudists, much like the Biblical Jews of Our Lord’s time here on earth, reject the prophecy of Isaias concerning the Suffering Servant:
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? And he shall grow up as a tender plant before him, and as a root out of a thirsty ground: there is no beauty in him, nor comeliness: and we have seen him, and there was no sightliness, that we should be desirous of him: Despised, and the most abject of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with infirmity: and his look was as it were hidden and despised, whereupon we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our infirmities and carried our sorrows: and we have thought him as it were a leper, and as one struck by God and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our iniquities, he was bruised for our sins: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his bruises we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray, every one hath turned aside into his own way: and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was offered because it was his own will, and he opened not his mouth: he shall be led as a sheep to the slaughter, and shall be dumb as a lamb before his shearer, and he shall not open his mouth. He was taken away from distress, and from judgment: who shall declare his generation? because he is cut off out of the land of the living: for the wickedness of my people have I struck him. And he shall give the ungodly for his burial, and the rich for his death: because he hath done no iniquity, neither was there deceit in his mouth. And the Lord was pleased to bruise him in infirmity: if he shall lay down his life for sin, he shall see a long-lived seed, and the will of the Lord shall be prosperous in his hand.
Because his soul hath laboured, he shall see and be filled: by his knowledge shall this my just servant justify many, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I distribute to him very many, and he shall divide the spoils of the strong, because he hath delivered his soul unto death, and was reputed with the wicked: and he hath borne the sins of many, and hath prayed for the transgressors. (Isaias 53: 1-11)
This is a clear prophecy of the fact that the long-awaited Messias was to atone for our sins by offering Himself up to His Co-Equal, Co-Eternal God the Father in Spirit and in Truth on the wood of the Holy Cross to free us from captivity to the devil and thus to make possible for us an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Heaven.
Nonetheless, though, nothing that not all Talmudists are Zionists, contemporary Judaism of every stripe rejects the concept of a humble Messias born of a virgin and thought to be of lowly estate. Their concept of “salvation” is, as mentioned earlier, political and territorial, not spiritual.
Father Denis Fahey pointed out the Jewish concept of a “natural messias” in The Kingship of Christ and the Conversion of the Jews”:
Father Fahey explained that the Jews conceive of a “natural messias,” who is none other than Antichrist, which is why they must make upon the true Church and mock the true Messias, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ:
The decay in the social acceptance of the divine plan for ordered life, since the thirteenth century, has had for inevitable consequence the gradual disappearance of supernatural influences and ideals from the political and economic life of nations. This is the first result. There is a second. The elimination of the supernatural from public life is making smooth the path for the coming of the natural messias. “He that is not with Me is against me.” (St. Matt. XII, 30). The world is not standing still and the once Christian nations have to choose between returning to the integral truth of the Catholic Church and falling more and more fully under the yoke of those who are systematically preparing for the advent of the natural messias. The supernatural Messias proclaimed the supremacy of the Catholic Church, His Mystical Body, which is both supernatural and supranational and respectful of the natural qualities and particular rôles of all nations. The natural messias can only have for end the subjection of all nations to the Jewish nation; for the refusal of the Jews, whose national organisation had been set up by God to prepare for Christ, to accept the supranational Church of Christ, inevitably leads to their setting up their nation as the highest embodiment of the divine order.
Calvary has then a twofold aspect. It is at one and the same time the rejection of the supernatural Messias with His programme, which is summed up in the doctrine of the Mystical Body of Christ, and the proclamation of a programme to be accomplished by the natural messias to come. In the Mystical Body of Christ all nations are on equal footing, each nation aiming at the temporal prosperity of its subjects so as not only not to hinder but to favour their attaining their supernatural end—union with the Blessed Trinity in supernatural life. The natural messias to whom the Jews look forward is to bring happiness to the world by the imposition of Jewish domination. It cannot be otherwise, given their messianic aspirations. Our Lord asked them to be the heralds of a supranational kingdom. Their refusal meant that they elected instead to impose their national form on the world, and they have put all their intense energy and tenacity into the struggle for the organisation of the future messianic age. Thus when any nation turns against the supernatural Messias it will be pulled in the direction of subjection to the natural messias. Satan has a wide view of things. He will be quite prepared to utilise German naturalism against our divine Lord. There is laughter in hell when human beings succumb once more to the temptation of the Garden of Eden and put themselves in the place of God, whether the new divinity be the Jewish race or any other race.
The Jewish ideal is interpreted differently by different Jews. The orthodox Jews want to return to Jerusalem, to rebuild the temple and to reinstitute their worship, while awaiting the coming of a personal Messias. The non-orthodox or Reform Jews have departed from the central hope of Judaism by rejecting belief in a personal messiah.1But they believe in the advent of a messias in the sense of a messianic age which will come through the leadership and domination of their race. “In general the Jews,” writes the Jew, Bernard Lazare, in his well-known work, L’Antisémitisme, “even the revolutionaries, have kept the Jewish spirit, and if they have given up religion and faith, they have nevertheless been formed, thanks to their ancestry and education, by the influence of Jewish nationalism. This is true in a very special way of the Jewish revolutionaries who lived in the first half of this [nineteenth] century. Heinrich Heine and Karl Marx are two typical examples.” This is true also of the Jews of high finance, the Rothschilds, the Warburgs, the Kahns, the Schiffs, etc., etc. They are one with their people in the ideal of the domination of the race and, therefore, in opposition to the supernatural life coming from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to them, attempted to turn aside the Jewish nation from its destined goal.
Does that mean that all Jews are bad men? Needless to say, it does not. There are Jews in whom may be seen excellent natural qualities, and the supernatural life of grace is poured out upon us all by our Lord, even upon those who reject Him. It does mean, however, that all Jews, in proportion as they are one with the leaders and rulers of their race, will oppose the influence of the supernatural life in society and will be an active ferment of naturalism. Let us take some examples from New York where the Jews are powerful. We read in the New York Jewish paper, Freiheit, of January 10th 1937: “According to the Jewish religion, the Pope is the enemy of the Jewish people by the very fact that he is the head of the Catholic Church. The Jewish religion is opposed to Christianity and to the Catholic Church in particular.” Again we find in the New York Jewish National Day of December 14th 1935: “The public schools must be kept clear of Christmas carols and other Christmas influences. We want all this Christmas propaganda stopped.”
Thus where the Jews are powerful, they openly attack the supernatural Messias and the supernatural life of grace which comes from Him. In countries where they are only advancing to power, they content themselves with de-supernaturalising the observances and customs which have sprung from acceptance of the supernatural Messias. When the latter process has been carried on for a sufficiently long time and Catholics have grown weak, the open attack on the observance of Sunday or Christmas Day, for example, can then be launched.
As an example of Jewish action in the elimination of the supernatural significance of a Christian observance, let us take the custom of exchanging Christmas cards. Christmas is in reality the anniversary of the birth of our Redeemer, of the Second Adam who restored the supernatural life of our souls. That is the real inner reason for our joy on that day. Families and friends come together to celebrate the coming amongst us as a little human child of Him in Whom we are one as members of His Mystical Body. The body is meant to have its share of the happiness too, because the Son of Man knows that we are human beings. Now the exchange of Christmas cards is meant to remind us of these great facts in their due relation. The supernatural significance of the great feast of the Nativity should of course be always prominent. Yet what do we find? Cards which show only holly and Christmas puddings have some relation to the feast, it is true, but not to the Christ Mass. Others with merely a row of dogs or a few birds have nothing to remind the recipient of what the rejoicing is for, while Yule tide greetings seem to refer to some pagan festival and to be preparing the way for a revival of paganism.
In this process of eliminating the supernatural Messias from the celebration of the anniversary of His birth, Messrs Raphael Tuck and Sons, Ltd., the largest firm of Christmas card manufacturers, have certainly played a great part. “The Directors of this firm,” according to The Britisher of December 15th, 1937, “are registered as Gustave Tuck, Desmond Adolph Tuck and William Reginald Tuck, Bt., and the Secretary is a Mr. A. G. Jacobs. All three directors appear in the Communal Directory of the Jewish Year Book. Mr. Desmond Tuck is a warden of the Central Synagogue. Gustave Tuck is a member of the Jewish Board of Deputies Committee, a member of the Committee for the fund for German Jewry,” etc. This firm is not alone, but it has certainly been a great influence in propagating naturalism by fostering a naturalistic tone.
It will be useful for Irishmen to examine how much of Dublin’s real property has already passed into Jewish hands. Such a control must bring influence, and Jewish influence will operate against Christian social principles. Irish Catholics can see the advance of the elimination of the supernatural from public life, when a Jewish shop exhibits a card to the effect that the shop will be open all day on Christmas Day, and when Jewish professional men make appointments for Sunday morning. This disruption of the organisation of society based on the reality of the supernatural life of grace and on the vital significance of the Mass cannot proceed without disastrous effects on Catholics individually and as a body. For we know that it is only through the supernatural life which comes from our Lord that we can be good men according to the way which God requires and can correct the defects of our natural life. On the one hand, then, the increase of Jewish influence, with its inevitable naturalistic, that is, anti-supernatural, character, cannot take place without such disruption. On the other hand, we are exhorted to work for the return of society to Christ the King so that, instead of having to combat influences hostile to our supernatural life when we leave the Church after Mass, we shall on the contrary be aided by the current of life around us. Accordingly, Jewish naturalism renders conflict inevitable.
The Jews, as a nation, are objectively aiming at giving society a direction which is in complete opposition to the order God wants. It is possible that a member of the Jewish nation, who rejects our Lord, may have the supernatural life which God wishes to see in every soul, and so be good with the goodness God wants, but objectively, the direction he is seeking to give to the world is opposed to God and to that life, and therefore is not good. If a Jew who rejects our Lord is good in the way God demands, it is in spite of the movement in which he and his nation are engaged. Our Lord Jesus Christ alone is the source of the goodness God wants to see in every human being, the goodness due to participation in the inner life of the Blessed Trinity. No Jew, in virtue of what he objectively stands for, is supernaturally good as God wants him to be.
Hence there would seem to be a regrettable confusion of thought in the article on The Jews in Ireland, which appeared in The Standard (Dublin), March 3rd 1939. The article stated: “The Standard stands for the practical application of Christian principles in the public life of Ireland . . . Doubtless, there are good Jews and bad Jews, just as there are good and bad non-Jews in every country. We may praise the good and reprobate the bad . . .”
The article in The Standard was perfectly correct in insisting upon the Christian principle of exclusion of hatred of the Jews as a race. The inculcation of that spirit of charity towards the Jews, however, is not the only Christian principle that has a bearing on the problem. To work for the return of society to Christ the King, and so secure the triumph of the supernatural spirit of the Mystical Body in social life, is surely a Christian principle. The Jewish nation in an organised entity opposed to the treatment of our fellow human beings as members of Christ. We, must, therefore, combat their naturalism. Some Catholics seem to forget that the Jews who, in their terrible opposition to God, were plotting the death of our Saviour were so “pious” and “God-fearing” and “good” that they would not go into the hall of Pilate’s palace, “that they might not be defiled but that they might eat the pasch.” (St. John XVIII, 28). Pilate had to yield to their scruples and go out to them, yet alas! they were intent on the most awful crime ever committed, the crime of deicide.
Jewish naturalism, then, is disruptive of all social organisation based upon the divinity of our Lord. This disruptive process inevitably leads to a reaction on the part of the subjects of Christ the King and thus renders social conflict unavoidable. But, besides these two harmful effects, there is a third. Jewish naturalism is injurious to the Jews themselves. Opposition to the supernatural life of grace that comes from our Lord and, consequently, to ordered submission to God, our Father, is disastrous for the Jewish soul and character. Writing of the ceremonies and rites of the Old Law, such as circumcision and the worship of the synagogue, St. Thomas says: “In like manner, the ceremonies of the Old Law prefigured Christ as having yet to be born and to suffer; whereas our sacraments signify Him as already born and having suffered. Consequently just as it would be a mortal sin now for anyone, in making a profession of faith, to say that Christ is yet to be born, which the fathers of old said devoutly and truthfully; so too, it would be a mortal sin now to observe those ceremonies which the fathers of old accomplished with devotion and fidelity. Such is the teaching of St. Augustine” (Ia IIae, Q. 103, a. 4). Objectively, therefore, the Jews as a nation put themselves against the ordered return to God, which can only be through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Their opposition has not only had dire consequences in preventing and retarding the world’s acceptance of Him, but also sad effects on themselves. The results of that ceaseless battle against order are becoming increasingly visible amongst them. The persistent rejection of the one mediator, Christ Jesus, in spite of abundant light and grace, is having its inescapable consequences. As their power in the material order grows, the Jews are ceasing to believe in the God of Israel and are falling a prey to pantheism in its various forms, Marxian and other.
Does it then follow that all Jews are pantheists? It does not. In all this reasoning about the Jewish nation we are dealing with what we may speak of as moral laws in a wide sense. We cannot deduce conclusions therefrom to every individual member of the race. We must take account of the play of human liberty under the influence of the grace that comes from the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the members of the race which He loves as His own. We must affirm, however, that the Jews as a nation and therefore the vast majority of their individual members, given the solidarity of their national organisation, will everywhere show themselves hostile to the supernatural life.
His Excellency Right Rev. Antonio Garcia, Bishop of Tuy, one of the signatories of the Collective Letter of the Spanish Hierarchy of July 1st 1937, has summed up in striking language the essential features of the present struggle in the world. He had a splendid opportunity of seeing the Spanish phase of it. Mgr. Garcia writes as follows: “It is evident that the present conflict is one of the most terrible wars waged by Antichrist, that is, by Judaism, against the Catholic Church and against Christ. And at this crisis in the history of the world, Jewry uses two formidable armies: one secret, namely that of Freemasonry; the other, open and avowed, with hands dripping with blood, that of the Communists and all the other associated bodies, Anarchists, Anarcho-Syndicalists, Socialists, as well as the auxiliary forces, Rotary, and Leagues of Benefaction . . . in which are preached the exclusion of Christ, of His morality and of His doctrine, or in which one hears at least that abstraction is made of such, as if Jesus Christ had not clearly declared: ‘He that is not with me is against me.’”
A writer who sees in a study of the consequences of the Jewish nation’s naturalism merely a series of fantastic statements about a supposed Jewish conspiracy has not grasped either the unity of the divine plan or the meaning of the Kingship of Christ. The Jews do work with abnormal secrecy, and in the Masonic society they certainly have a powerful secret auxiliary force working for naturalism, along with open and avowed auxiliary forces of Communists, Anarchists, etc. But it is a fact patent for all to see, that, in the world as it exists, the Jews, as an organised nation, refuse to accept Him Who is the Cornerstone of the building and the Foundation of right order, and look forward to a messianic era to be ushered in by another messias. Do they not proclaim this from the house tops? Klausner, Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in his book, Jesus of Nazareth, writes as follows: “What is Jesus to the Jewish nation at the present day? To the Jewish nation he can be neither God nor the Son of God, in the sense conveyed by belief in the Trinity. Either conception is to the Jew not only impious and blasphemous, but incomprehensible. Neither can he, to the Jewish nation, be the Messiah: the kingdom of Heaven (the ‘Days of the Messiah’) is not yet come . . . [The ethical code of Jesus] is no ethical code for the nations and social order of today, when men are still trying to find the way to that future of the Messiah and the Prophets, and to the ‘kingdom of the Almighty’ spoken of by the Talmud, an ideal which is of this ‘world’ and which, gradually and in the course of generations, is to take shape in this world.” A critic may point out that the attack on Christianity by immoral art and by unbelief would continue without Jews in the world. It is quite true that, even if the Jews were to disappear utterly, there would still be original sin in the world and consequently forces of revolt working for naturalism, under the leadership of Satan, whose whole being is in revolt against the supernatural life of grace. What must be insisted upon, however, is that in that hypothesis, the best organised visible force, the one with the greatest cohesion and dynamic energy, would be withdrawn from the naturalist camp.
The leaders of the Jewish race have a terrible responsibility. St. Thomas insists (IIIa P.Q. 47, a. 6 ad 1), that the excusing words of our Lord: “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do” (St. Luke XXII, 34) were uttered on behalf of the common people, but not on behalf of the leaders of the Jews. Not only have they formed the ordinary people of their race to consider the idea of Our Lord being the Messias promised to their fathers as absolutely absurd, but they keep them in strict subjection. Pogroms in which the rank-and-file of the Jewish nation suffer serve the useful purpose of keeping them in absolute dependence on their leaders.
THE OPPOSITION OF JEWISH NATURALISM TO OUR SUPERNATURAL WELL-BEING
The fundamental nature of this opposition will be seen more clearly when we examine a point in which what I have been saying differs to some extent from the thesis of a writer whose name is a household word in Catholic circles. In his work on the Jewish question, Mr. Belloc writes as follows: “We are asked to believe that this political upheaval [the Bolshevik revolution by which the Jews got control of Russia] was part of one highly organised plot centuries old the agents of which were millions of human beings all pledged to the destruction of our society and acting in complete discipline under a few leaders superhumanly wise. The thing is nonsense on the face of it. Men have no capacity for acting in this fashion . . . moreover the motive is completely lacking. Why merely destroy, and why, if your object is merely to destroy, manifest wide differences in your aims? . . . The conception of a vast age-long plot, culminating in the contemporary Russian affair, will not hold water.”
Four points need to be touched upon. First of all, the opposition between the supernatural Messias and the natural messias is in the very nature of things. The Jews, as a nation have refused to accept the supernatural Messias, God Himself, Who came into His own world to restore our most real life, and they still look forward to another messias. They are therefore necessarily opposed to the true order of the world. As I have already said, the Jews work with abnormal secrecy and in the Masonic society they have a powerful secret auxiliary force working for naturalism, but I am here speaking of their opposition as a nation to the supernatural. It is absurd and confusing to speak of that opposition as a plot or a conspiracy, for not only is it clear to us but the Jews themselves proclaim it openly. We must always bear in mind that the world is one, and that it is, only through acceptance of our Lord Jesus Christ as the true Messias that we can live our lives as the objective order of the world demands. Mr Belloc seems to miss the force of the opposition between naturalism and the supernatural. That is one point.
Again, opposition to the order God has established in the world leads inevitably to decay in belief in God among the Jews, and to corruption in regard to the correct attitude towards their fellow human beings and in regard to the means to be employed to get other nations to accept the messianic message. It is morally inevitable that nations which resist and oppose the supernatural order of the world should suffer decay in the process. The excesses of the Bolshevik revolution thus find their explanation. We are, however, dealing with a moral law in the wide sense. God is merciful, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus loves the members of His own race with a special love. We cannot, as has been said, draw conclusions from such a law to all the individual members of the nation.
The third point concerns the differences amongst the Jews. Of course, there are differences amongst them and that, more unavoidably than amongst other nations, because of their opposition to order, but that fact cannot hide the truth of their strongly organised national solidarity. Is not the sympathy of the Jewish-controlled press throughout the world with the Muscovite, that is, Judaeo-Russian, Red government of Spain a proof of a strong unity?
The fourth point is that the Jews are not attacking Christian supernatural civilisation merely for the sake of destroying it. They are demolishing what for them are the accretions due to pagan conceptions, by which Catholicism has disfigured the messianic ideal. They want to prepare the way for the messias who, according to them, is still to come and who is to bring about peace and harmony amongst all the people of the world under their own rule. They demolish for the sake of reconstructing on another foundation. No wonder they persecuted St. Paul for his insistence on the fact that “Other foundation no man can lay, but that which is laid; which is Christ Jesus.” (1 Cor. III, 11).
The orthodox Jews speak of the Fatherhood of God, but they refuse to accept God’s supreme manifestation of His paternity, His sending of His only-begotten Son. They consider as blasphemous the true doctrine of the Blessed Trinity and of the supernatural life by which we can enter into the family circle of the Blessed Trinity and love the Father with the Son and the Holy Ghost. In their pride they want to impose their will on God instead of humbly accepting His Will. In their pride they oppose physical descent from Abraham to the true doctrine of spiritual descent from him in unity of faith. “Know ye, therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham . . . for you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus . . . And if you be Christ’s then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians III, 7, 26, 29). In their pride, they refuse to see in the prophecies of Isaias about the sufferings of the Messias, the narrative of the treatment that was to be meted out by them to the Messias when He came. They cannot believe that they could have made such fools of themselves as they actually did and continue to do by attempting to apply the promises of God concerning the world-wide sway of the Mystical Body of Christ to their own nation. This terrible pride is the source of the obstinacy with which they refuse to accept the Supernatural Messias. (Father Denis Fahey, The Kingship of Christ and the Conversion of the Jewish Nation.)
Thus, the genocide that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been perpetrating against the Palestinians is just a continuation of the carnage that has been wrought ever since the Zionists started to invade the Holy Land after World War II following three decades of planning (and a trickle of Zionist settlers during the interwar period) that began during World War I, which is why we must intensify our prayers this Lent for the conversion of Jews so that they will no longer walk in the darkness of idolatry and superstition but will be abled to walk in the path of the Light of the World Himself Who wants each of us to be instruments of His peace, a peace that the world cannot give, the peace that is within one’s immortal soul by means of Sanctifying Grace, a peace that the world-at-large can never enjoy unless all men, having been convert to the true Faith, exclaim:
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dóminus, Deus Sábaoth. Pleni sunt cæli et terra glória tua. Hosánna in excélsis. Benedíctus, qui venit in nómine Dómini. Hosánna in excélsis.
May Our Lady, to whose Immaculate Heart the cause of world peace has been entrusted by her Divine Son, help us to be at peace always with her Divine Son by making a good, integral Confession of our sins to a true priest (if one is available where one lives in this time of apostasy and betrayal) and to be earnest in our efforts to reform our lives as we grow in our love for her and her Most Holy Rosary with every beat of our hearts, consecrated as they should be to her Divine Son’s Most Sacred Heart that her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
