On the Feast of Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort: Friend of the Cross and Promoter of True Devotion to Mary

I offer those who still access this site a reflection Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort's exhortations to avoid worldliness by becoming friends of the Cross and by being truly devoted to Our Lady as the consecrated slave of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.

A new commentary will be published within fifteen minutes. Thank you.

"To Resist is a Duty, To Obey a Crime"

[I found a way to circumvent the problem of not being able to add new articles. It is a little clunk. However, I will take clunky at this late hour. Deo gratias!)

Violent, recidivist felons are put back on the streets by George Soros-funded district attorneys across the United States of America. Those who trespassed on Federal property during the summer of rioting in 2020 were given free passes by the United States Department Justice while those who trespassed at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, continue to be treated as the worst of all possible “criminals.”

Additionally, innocent pro-life Catholics such as Mark Houck have been harassed and arrested by armed agents of Merrick Garland’s Ministry of Injustice and participants in the Red Rose Rescue movement have been found guilty of “trespassing” for seeking to counsel women in abortuaries as they give each a red rose.

Although these injustices are happening around the nation, this commentary focuses on the arrest, trial, and conviction of Red Rose participants, one of whom I counted as a friend for nearly two decades and for whom I continue to pray every day without fail, on my native Long Island.

As always, this commentary seeks to put these injustices in the context of the Protestant Revolution’s overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King and the subsequent rise of the anti-Incarnational civil state of Modernity that has gone from being “religiously neutral” to being outrightly hostile to all truth, supernatural and natural.

Persecution in the Beginning, Persecution Now

April 24, 2023, Update: I do have a new commentary to post. However, my website's platform is once again refusing me to add new content. I have written to a gentleman who has helped me on these matters a great deal in the past nine years, and I hope for a resolution by sometime later this afternoon. I am sorry for the delay.

In the meantime, here is a link to my annual reflection about Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen:Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen Came to Extirpate Heresy, Not to Embrace It.

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, help!

Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, pray for us.

This is a brief follow up to  Believing Catholics Pose No Threat to a Just Social Order, which was published two months ago.

The next article on this site should appear by the end of this week as there are medical examinations scheduled for Monday and Wednesday.

The German Synodal Path is Also Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s Path—To Hell Itself

Much is being made of the supposed “revolt” against “Pope Francis” by most of the conciliar “bishops” within the Federal Republic of Germany. This “revolt” is more apparent than real as Jorge Mario Bergoglio has only offered a few mild “tsks, tsks” in the direction of the German “bishops” while he never hesitates to lower the boom on traditionally-minded Catholics within the structures of his false religious sect nor hesitates even for one nanosecond to cut the legs out from under the likes of “Archbishop” Salvatore Cordileone of San Francisco after the latter had banned the egregious self-styled theological “expert” named Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro Pelosi from the reception of what purports to be “Holy Communion” during the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical abomination.

Moreover, it is a relatively easy thing for the current crop of conciliar “bishops” in Germany to abandon all pretext of opposing sins against Holy Purity when it was but a scant fourteen years ago when the former president of their “episcopal” conference, Robert Zollitsch, denied that Our Lord died on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for the sins of men, a blasphemously heretical statement about which the late Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI said or did absolutely nothing.  It is an easy thing to proceed from disbelief in the simple fact that Our Lord died in obedience to His Co-Equal, Co-Eternal God the Father’s Holy Will to atone for our sins on the wood of Holy Cross to deny that there even is such a thing as personal sin, especially as it relates to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments.

Another new commentary will follow in a few days.

Also, in the event that anyone missed it, Sin: More Deadly Than the Coronavirus, part twenty-two, was published on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023.

A Very Brief Reflection on Pope Saint Leo the Great and the Nature of the Papacy

Herewith is a brief reflection on the Feast of Pope Saint Leo the Great, which is suppressed this year because the feast falls on Easter Tuesday.

The readings for Matins contained the Divine Office for the Feast of Pope Saint Gregory the Great summarize the nature of the purity of the papacy as the absolute guarantor of doctrinal orthodoxy at all times:

When the Lord, as we read in the Evangelist, asked His disciples Who did men, amid their divers speculations, believe that He, the Son of Man, was; blessed Peter answered and said Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father, Which is in heaven and I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Thus therefore standeth the ordinance of the Truth, and blessed Peter, abiding still that firm rock which God hath made him, hath never lost that right to rule in the Church which God hath given unto him.

In the universal Church it is Peter that doth still say every day, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God, and every tongue which confesseth that Jesus is Lord is taught that confession by the teaching of Peter. This is the faith that overcometh the devil and looseth the bands of his prisoners. This is the faith which maketh men free of the world and bringeth them to heaven, and the gates of hell are impotent to prevail against it. With such ramparts of salvation hath God fortified this rock, that the contagion of heresy will never be able to infect it, nor idolatry and unbelief to overcome it. This teaching it is, my dearly beloved brethren, which maketh the keeping of this Feast to-day to be our reasonable service, even the teaching which maketh you to know and honour in myself, lowly though I be, that Peter who is still entrusted with the care of all other shepherds and of all the flocks to them committed, and whose authority I have, albeit unworthy to be his heir.

When, therefore, we address our exhortations to your godly ears, believe ye that ye are hearing him speak whose office we are discharging. Yea, it is with his love for you that we warn you, and we preach unto you no other thing than that which he taught, entreating you that ye would gird up the loins of your mind and lead pure and sober lives in the fear of God. My disciples dearly beloved, ye are to me, as the disciples of the Apostle Paul were to him, (Phil. iv. 1,) a crown and a joy, if your faith, which, in the first times of the Gospel, was spoken of throughout the whole world, Rom. i. 8, abide still lovely and holy. For, albeit it behoveth the whole Church which is spread throughout all the world, to be strong in righteousness, you it chiefly becometh above all other peoples to excel in worth and godliness, whose house is built upon the very crown of the Rock of the Apostle, and whom not only hath our Lord Jesus Christ, as He hath redeemed all men, but whom also His blessed Apostle Peter hath made the foremost object of his teaching. (Pope Saint Leo the Great, as found in Matins, The Divine Office, Feast of Pope Saint Leo the Great.)

Well, it is all there, isn’t it?

One must engage in all kinds of intellectual gymnastics to believe that the contagion of heresy is not rife within the counterfeit church of conciliarism, which is why all those who are not yet convinced of the truth of our ecclesiastical situation in this time of apostasy and betrayal should re-read these words:

This is the faith which maketh men free of the world and bringeth them to heaven, and the gates of hell are impotent to prevail against it. With such ramparts of salvation hath God fortified this rock, that the contagion of heresy will never be able to infect it, nor idolatry and unbelief to overcome it. (Pope Saint Leo the Great, as found in Matins, The Divine Office, Feast of Pope Saint Leo the Great.)

Jorge Mario Bergoglio has esteemed the symbols of idolaters. So have Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and “Saint John Paul II” before his own election as the head of the false conciliar sect on March 13, 2013, and Bergoglio has shown repeatedly that he has no belief in the integrity of the Catholic Faith. So have his predecessors in the past sixty-four and one-half years.

Father Francis X. Weninger's First Sunday for Easter Monday

I am providing you with Father Francis X. Weninger’s first sermon for Easter Monday as it is every timely despite its being written and delivered around one hundred thirty-five years ago.

This sermon, which the book publisher explains in a prefatory note was written in German, focused on the persecution of Holy Mother Church, and believing Catholics by the thirty-third degree Freemasonic Chancellor of the German Empire, Otto von Bismarck, during the Kulturkampf that began shortly after the end of the Franco-Prussian War in 1871. Father Weninger’s exhortation for courage in the midst of this persecution will provide Catholics today with great encouragement in the midst of the persecutions and acts of government repression that are employed here in the United States of America and elsewhere in the so-called “civilized” world during the plandemic.

Please take the time to read this truly inspirational sermon. You will not regret doing so.

The next original commentary for this time will be short and to the point as there is little that needs to be added to recent commentaries about the German "bishops" and their "synodal path" without any disciplinary action being taken agains them by Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who sure knows how to lower the boom on anything that smacks of "preconciliar" Catholicism when he wants to do so without even providing those disciplined with any notice that the boom was about to come down on their heads. Nice fellow.

Lent is over. Penance is always in season, and it is always a penance to deal with Jorge Mario Bergoglio!

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!

April 9, 2023: Easter Sunday: There is an Empty Tomb in Jerusalem: Resurrexi, et Adhuc Tecum, Alleluia!

Alleluia! He is Risen! Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has made manifest His Easter Victory over sin and eternal death. “O death, where is Thy victory. O death, where is thy sting?”

We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality. And when this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor. 15: 51-58)

Our Lord made His Easter Victory over sin and eternal death manifest first to His Most Blessed Mother, who stood so valiantly at the foot of His Most Holy Cross as she cooperated completely in His Redemptive Act, bringing us forth as the spiritual sons and daughters of the living God in great pain by means of adoption. W need to rely on the help of Our Lady as the consecrated slaves of Her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart so that we may persevere in a state of Sanctifying Grace with perfect contrition for our sins until the moments of our deaths so that our bodies and souls will be resurrected on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead and counted among those destined for the enjoyment of an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Paradise.

Nothing else matters if we save our souls by cooperating with the graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. Nothing else matters if we fail to soul our souls.

This glorious day of Easter rejoicing is meant to be but a foretaste of Heaven. Let us live as redeemed creatures as we reject the naturalism of Modernity and the Modernism of the soul-killing agents of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad!

A blessed Easter Sunday to you all!

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

A Reflection for Holy Saturday, April 8, 2023

Silence filled the earth in the forty hours between the death of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the wood of the Holy Cross yesterday, Good Friday, and His glorious Resurrection at dawn on Easter Sunday. Silence filled the earth as the God-Man went down into Limbo to announce the news of His Redemptive Act to the souls of the just who had awaited His Coming and His Sacrifice in atonement for the sins of all men from the beginning until the end of time.

Christ the King is the Light of the World. It is His light that is symbolized by the Easter fire that is lit at the beginning of the Easter Vigil. The Light of Christ breaks through the darkness of sin and eternal death, leading us by the fire of His bright, burning love as we continue our desert journey of life to the Promised Land of the New and Eternal Canaan made possible by His immolation on the wood of the Holy Cross yesterday, Good Friday. We must follow the Light of Christ as He, the New Moses, leads us as the first Moses led the Hebrew people as he followed a column of cloud during the day and a column of fire during the night, as we reminded once again during the Prophecies that are read during the Easter Vigil.

The Light of Christ, Our Crucified and Resurrected Saviour, will penetrate the souls of those who are baptized on Holy Saturday and of those who are confirmed. It will penetrate the souls of those of us who were unable to receive Him in Holy Communion yesterday at the Mass of the Presanctified. It will penetrate the souls of those who are regenerated once again in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. The Light of Christ that is symbolized by the Paschal Candle is meant to permeate every aspect of our lives without any exception at any time for any reason.

The Light of Christ has indeed broken through the darkness of sin and eternal death. Our Lord is making manifest His Easter Victory over the power of sin and eternal death. A fifty-day period of glorious celebration is about to break upon us. Although the Easter Vigil is a long ceremony, eternity is forever. We can certainly spend five hours basking in the glories of the Sacred Liturgy that are, after all, a foretaste of eternal glories, can we not?

The rewards are truly Heavenly, rewards that we could not have unless the Co-Eternal and Co-Equal Son obeyed His Heavenly Father out of love for him and out of love for us so that we could have access to the treasures of His Most Sacred Heart here through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
