Merchants of Murder and Mendacity, part two

As strong storms are heading our way, all that I shall write at the moment is that, at long last, I hereby present to you part two of “Merchants of Murder and Mendacity.”

If the Supreme Court of the United States of America issues its decision in the case of Thomas Dobbs, Mississippi State Health Officer, v. Jackson Women’s Organization today, as some believe is possible, my commentary, which will take some days to complete, will focus on the dissenting opinions as there will be no need to do anything except summarize the points about Associate Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion, the draft version of which may be, allowing for various changes to address the dissenting opinions, what the substance of his issued opinion looks like.

Barring that, however, the next article on this site will deal with the recent arrest of Joseph “Cardinal” Zen by the Communist authorities in Hong Kong, followed by another article on the killing of the innocents in Ukraine and then part eighteen of “Sin: More Dangerous Than the Coronavirus.”

Finally, Mrs. Randy Engel, the founder and director of the U.S. Coalition for Life, that I have formatted and published. Please scroll below for her alert. Than you.

More Tragic Victims of Modernity's Hatred of Christ the King

This is a brief "root causes" reflection of the horrific massacre that took place in Buffalo, New York, yesterday, May 14, 2022, Our Lady's Saturday in Paschaltide and the Commemoration of Saint Boniface Martyr.

Another day of writing is needed for part two of "Merchants of Murder and Mendacity." Indeed, work continued on it until shortly before the posting of this commentary and will continue later this afternoon,

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.

Saint Robert Bellarmine: Sermon Sixty-Eight: On Tribulations (Parts One and Two)

This Feast of Saint Robert Bellarmine is an excellent opportunity to give readers of this website access to Saint Robert Bellarmine's two-part sermon On Tribulations.

The text of the Saint Robert Bellarmine's sermon can be found below Father Kenneth Baker's synopsis of it. Our Saint's explanation of the tribulations that must afflict all men during their lifetimes here in this mortal vale of tears is very timely in our age of barbarism and statism, of amorality, hedonism, rank materialism and the worship of everything except the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Holy Trinity.

Please say a Hail Mary for Sharon, who transcribed the text below from Sermons of St. Robert Bellarmine, S.J., Sermons 68, On Tribulation, translated from the Latin by Father Kenneth Baker, S.J., and published in 2017 by Keep the Faith, Inc., Ramsey, New Jersey.

Today is also the one hundred fifth anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos in the Covia da Iria near Fatima, Portugal. An article from 2020 explains the importance of Our Lady's  Fatima apparitions and why they have been attacked so relentlessly by the conciliar officials: .

Work proceeds quite methodically on part two of Merchants of Murder and Mendacity. My prognosticating abilities concerning when articles will be complete are nonexistent these days. Reasonably speaking, though, I may need another three full days of writing. Thank you.

Merchants of Murder and Mendacity

The clock is about to strike twelve midnight and to quote the fictional Lucille Ricardo as she stomped grapes with a feed in a vat, "I am a poop-ed."

This commentary is part one of a two-part study of the unprecedented leak of a draft opinion written by a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Part two, which should be published by Thursday, May 12, 2022, the Feast of Saints Nereus, Pancratius, Achelleus, and Domatilla, will examine the draft opinion itself and its ramifications.

Thank you for your patience as there were many unexpected penances within the past week, including raising funds privately for a new outside air conditioning unit after the one we had took a direct hit from lightning during violent storms on Thursday, May 5, 2022, the Feast of Pope Saint Pius V.

Penance is indeed better than ever in 2022.

All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you. Save souls!

Pope Saint Pius V: Our Rigid Foe of Heresy and All False Religions

This is a republished version of a reflection on the saintly life and work of  the great Dominican, Pope Saint Pius X, who is indeed quite a contrast to the life and the work of the conciliar revolutionaries.

The next original article on this site should be posted by Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

We Must Never Live In Fear With Saint Joseph So Near

Today is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Paschaltide, a feast that originated under the title of “The Patronage of Saint Joseph” in 1847 by Pope Pius IX before being given its current name in 1911 and then repositioned two years later on the Wednesday following the Second Sunday after Easter by Pope Saint Pius X. This reflection is by way of an annual reminder, slightly revised, to trust in Saint Joseph, the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, in these times of persecution by the forces of Antichrist in the world and in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Obviously, the unprecedented leak of a draft opinion in the case of Thomas Dobbs, State Health Officer of the Mississippi Department of Health, et al. v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, et al. is generating a great deal of commentary. I have begun work on my own commentary, which I hope to complete tomorrow for posting on Friday, pushing back the other commentary upon which I have been working for another day or so. Thank you.

Total Consecration to Our Lord through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart

Although I was once known for producing a prodigious number of articles each month, I have known for some time now that the days of prolific writing are well behind me. My next original commentary should appear by Wednesday, May 4, 2022, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph in Paschaltide.

On this second day of the month of May, the month of Our Lady, which is the Feast of Saint Athanasius, I am republishing a reflection on Total Consecration to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary that was first published in the printed pages of Christ or Chaos twenty years ago this month.

Although there is absolutely nothing profound contained in this reflection, I do hope that it helps to serve as a modest introduction to the topic of total consecration to Our Lady for those who are unfamiliar with the benefits that accrue to those who enslave themselves to her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Revised and Expanded: An Inversion of Truth: Big Tech and the Deep State Go Full Bore Orwellian

In light of the announcement by the Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Insecurity and Instability, Alejandro "Open Borders" Mayorkas that a "governance disinformation board" was being established to shut down criticism of the present administration in the name of combatting "disinformation," this commentary, which was published on October 23, 2020, has been revised. It is being published in its revised form now to put into perspective the simpe fact that the contemporary censorship imposed by “Big Tech”  and the "Deep State" to enforce the “party line” is an inversion of that which belongs to Holy Mother Church: the authority and the duty to prohibit that which is offensive to God and injurious to souls from being distributed.

A True Victim Soul: Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P.

Today’s article is a slight revision and republication of a very brief and wholly inadequate reflection on the life of the great mystic, stigmatist and spiritual directress of souls, Saint Catherine of Siena, T.O.P., whose feast day is the day after that of the Protomartyr of the Order of Preachers, Saint Peter of Verona (Saint Peter Martyr).

Saint Catherine was calumniated during her life, and she was blamed for having precipitated the Great Western Schism by convincing Pope Gregory XI to return to return to Rome in 1378. She suffered all such calumny with joy.

What’s our excuse for grumbling and/or murmuring about our crosses and the state of chaos in which we live in this time of apostasy and betrayal?

Remember, everything thing that happens to us has been ordained by the hand of God Himself with exquisite perfection. Saint Catherine of Siena never lost an opportunity to suffer well. Indeed, she begged to suffer more and more for love of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So should we.

As yesterday was spent in locating a tire store that had the correct size tire to replace all four tires on our 2000 Ford Econoline van, wihch is our secondary vehicle, there was not enough time to complete my next semi-original article. Indeed, there is much work do on it as concerns the "Government Disinformation Board" within the Orwellian monstrosity known as the United States Department of Homeland Security. Those who tell the truth are labeled as disseminators of "dinsinformation" while those who make this self-serving determination can spread actual disinformation with impunity. I will try to have the article completed for the Feast of Saints Philip and James and the Commemoration of the Second Sunday of Easter, Sunday, May 1, 2022, but, given the work yet to complete on the project, I might not have it posted before Monday, May 2, 2022, the Feast of Saint Athanasius.

In His Own Blood: Saint Peter Verona, the Protomartyr of the Order of Preachers

Today is the feast of the protomartyr of the Order of Preachers, Saint Peter of Verona, who is known more commonly as Saint Peter Martyr. Time has been spent to revise this brief reflection of the life and holy martyrdom of this great Dominican, who hated error in his childhood as a result of being brought up by parents who were Manicheans. Saint Peter Martyr loved the Holy Faith, and it was this love that prompted him to accept his martyrdom with serenity as he wrote "Credo in Unum Deum" in his very own blood as he fell to the ground after a heretic had stabbed him.

The next semi-original article for this site should be posted by the Feast of Saint Catharine of Siena Saturday, April 30, 2022.
