Having No Regard for the Horror of Personal Sin, which was published twenty-three days ago now, dealt with the fact that so few Catholics today have any real regard for the horror of personal sin. Mind you, each of us is a sinner. However, as I tried to emphasize throughout the course of my teaching and writing and speaking careers, it is one thing sin and to be sorry as one seeks out the ineffable Mercy of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, from an alter Christus acting in persona Christi in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, resolving thereafter to sin no more and to make reparation for one's sins by offering a life of prayer and penance and mortification to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. It is quite another to persist in sin unrepentantly, worse yet to promote it under cover of the civil law and promote it in every aspect of popular culture.
Sin is what caused human nature to be wounded as our first parents, Adam and Eve, surrendered to the devil and partook of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil from which God had forbidden them to eat. This Original Sin, which holds each human soul captive to the devil prior to its being Baptized, shut tight the Gates of Heaven, placing enmity between God and His rational creatures, human beings, and between and among those rational creatures. The whole of the earth was rent asunder by Original Sin as even the forces of nature were unbalanced as a result of man's disobedience to His Creator.
Human nature is wounded by Original Sin and by each one of our own Actual Sins. Even those of us who have been brought to the Baptismal font to be regenerated by the very inner life of the Most Blessed Trinity by means of having Sanctifying Grace flooded into our souls as Original Sin was flooded out suffer from the vestigial after-effects of Original Sin. Those vestigial after-effects are the darkened intellect and the weakened will and a concupiscence of spirit that causes our lower passions to war against our higher, rational faculties, after-effects that incline us to surrender to the branches that flow from the trees of the Seven Deadly Sins (Pride, Anger, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Covetousness) and thus become entangled in all manner of Actual Sins, each of which darkens the intellect and weakens the will all the more.
All problems in the world, personal and social, are the result, both remotely and proximately, of Original Sin and of the Actual Sins of men. No one can claim to be able to "build" the better world who is indifferent to the horror of personal sin or, worse yet, who is committed, whether personally in his own life or as a matter of perverse "principle," to its promotion under cover of the civil law and in every aspect of a nation's popular culture. No one can claim to love Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ if he is indifferent to the horror of personal sin or, worse yet, is committed, whether personally or as a matter of perverse "principle," to its promotion under cover of the civil law and in every aspect of a nation's popular culture.
"Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch notwithstanding (it has now been fifty-six days since Zollitsch denied that Our Lord died in atonement for our sins without receiving any "papal" rebuke at all, leaving the impression among Catholics that this is but a "minor" matter or that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI actually agrees with him), sin--yours, mine, everyone's--is what caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer unspeakable horrors in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death as those Seven Swords of Sorrow were thrust through and through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Our Lord died on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem us and to thus make it possible for us to cooperate with the Sanctifying Graces He won for us by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood thereupon to overcome our sins as we receive those Graces that come to us through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces.
Those who believe that they can build the "better," more "just," more "human" world as they promote personal sin as a "human right" are, whether they realize it or not, tools of the devil to deceive souls and thus to sow the seeds for more social chaos and confusion. This is why Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's refusal to exhort those, such as Mohammedans and Jews, who are steeped in the ravages of Original Sin is itself a sin against God and His rational creatures as he, the man most people in the world believe, albeit falsely, to be the "pope" speaks of the nonexistent "ability" of the "values" of false religions to "build" the "better" world while he, Ratzinger/Benedict, commits one Mortal Sin, objectively speaking, after another while doing so and while esteeming the symbols of these false religions.
With Ratzinger/Benedict (and Wojtyla/John Paul II before him) speaking such falsehoods so regularly, it is no wonder that men such as Barack Hussein Obama have more of a chance to rise to the fore of public prominence and thus be able to issue proclamations in support of those who are engaged in unrepentant acts of perversity against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments as a "civil" right, which must be protected against criticism by means of a fascistic "hate crimes" bill (see:

Forty years ago, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City resisted police harassment that had become all too common for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Out of this resistance, the LGBT rights movement in America was born. During LGBT Pride Month, we commemorate the events of June 1969 and commit to achieving equal justice under law for LGBT Americans.
LGBT Americans have made, and continue to make, great and lasting contributions that continue to strengthen the fabric of American society. There are many well-respected LGBT leaders in all professional fields, including the arts and business communities. LGBT Americans also mobilized the Nation to respond to the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic and have played a vital role in broadening this country's response to the HIV pandemic.
Due in no small part to the determination and dedication of the LGBT rights movement, more LGBT Americans are living their lives openly today than ever before. I am proud to be the first President to appoint openly LGBT candidates to Senate-confirmed positions in the first 100 days of an Administration. These individuals embody the best qualities we seek in public servants, and across my Administration -- in both the White House and the Federal agencies -- openly LGBT employees are doing their jobs with distinction and professionalism.
The LGBT rights movement has achieved great progress, but there is more work to be done. LGBT youth should feel safe to learn without the fear of harassment, and LGBT families and seniors should be allowed to live their lives with dignity and respect.
My Administration has partnered with the LGBT community to advance a wide range of initiatives. At the international level, I have joined efforts at the United Nations to decriminalize homosexuality around the world. Here at home, I continue to support measures to bring the full spectrum of equal rights to LGBT Americans. These measures include enhancing hate crimes laws, supporting civil unions and Federal rights for LGBT couples, outlawing discrimination in the workplace, ensuring adoption rights, and ending the existing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in a way that strengthens our Armed Forces and our national security. We must also commit ourselves to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic by both reducing the number of HIV infections and providing care and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS across the United States.
These issues affect not only the LGBT community, but also our entire Nation. As long as the promise of equality for all remains unfulfilled, all Americans are affected. If we can work together to advance the principles upon which our Nation was founded, every American will benefit. During LGBT Pride Month, I call upon the LGBT community, the Congress, and the American people to work together to promote equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third. (Presidential Proclamation - LGBT Pride Month.)
Yes, Barack Hussein Obama, who has been hailed for good reason by "Father John O'Malley, S.J., as
a Vatican II president, believes that perverse behavior in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments is a foundation of human self-identification and that the civil law must accord this behavior full protection and recognition.
Here is yet another memo to you, Mister President, not that you are reading the articles on this site, that is. It comes from God the Holy Ghost, Who inspired these words to be recorded in the Book of Genesis as to what happened in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah:
And when the men rose up from thence, they turned their eyes towards Sodom: and Abraham walked with them, bringing them on the way. And the Lord said: Can I hide from Abraham what I am about to do: Seeing he shall become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth shall be blessed? For I know that he will command his children, and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord, and do judgment and justice: that for Abraham's sake the Lord may bring to effect all the things he hath spoken unto him. And the Lord said: The cry of Sodom and Gomorrha is multiplied, and their sin is become exceedingly grievous.
I will go down and see whether they have done according to the cry that is come to me: or whether it be not so, that I may know. And they turned themselves from thence, and went their way to Sodom: but Abraham as yet stood before the Lord. And drawing nigh he said: Wilt thou destroy the just with the wicked? If there be fifty just men in the city, shall they perish withal? and wilt thou not spare that place for the sake of the fifty just, if they be therein? Far be it from thee to do this thing, and to slay the just with the wicked, and for the just to be in like case as the wicked, this is not beseeming thee: thou who judgest all the earth, wilt not make this judgment.
And the Lord said to him: If I find in Sodom fifty just within the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake. And Abraham answered, and said: Seeing I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord, whereas I am dust and ashes. What if there be five less than fifty just persons? wilt thou for five and forty destroy the whole city? And he said: I will not destroy it, if I find five and forty. And again he said to him: But if forty be found there, what wilt thou do? He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of forty. Lord, saith he, be not angry, I beseech thee, if I speak: What if thirty shall be found there? He answered: I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
Seeing, saith he, I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord. What if twenty be found there? He said: I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty. I beseech thee, saith he, be not angry, Lord, if I speak yet once more: What if ten should be found there? And he said: I will not destroy it for the sake of ten. And the Lord departed, after he had left speaking to Abraham: and Abraham returned to his place. (Genesis 16: 16-33)
And he said to him: Behold also in this, I have heard thy prayers, not to destroy the city for which thou hast spoken. Make haste and be saved there, because I cannot do any thing till thou go in thither. Therefore the name of that city was called Segor. The sun was risen upon the earth, and Lot entered into Segor. And the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrha brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And he destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring from the earth.
And his wife looking behind her, was turned into a statue of salt. And Abraham got up early in the morning and in the place where he had stood before with the Lord, He looked towards Sodom and Gomorrha, and the whole land of that country: and he saw the ashes rise up from the earth as the smoke of a furnace. (Genesis 19: 21-28.)
Here is yet another memo to you, Mister President. It comes to you once again from God the Holy Ghost, Who inspired Saint Paul the Apostle to write the following:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice: Because that which is known of God is manifest in them. For God hath manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him, from the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made; his eternal power also, and divinity: so that they are inexcusable.
Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened. For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things. Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them. (Romans 1: 18-32.)
No one can claim to be a friend of God while promoting sins of any kind, no less those that cry out to Heaven for vengeance, under cover of the civil law. Yet, of course, this is what the Vatican II president does as he issues Executive Orders to fund the direct, intentional assassinations of innocent preborn children by means of international "family planning" programs.
How can the "better" world be built when over four thousand innocent human beings are slaughtered by surgical means each day in the United States of America under cover of the the civil law, to say nothing of the thousands more who die each day as a result of chemical abortifacients?
How can the "better" world be "built" as the blood of the innocent is slaughtered with legal impunity every day of the year, year in and year old, decade in and decade out?
It can't.
Silvio Cardinal Antoniano noted this in the Sixteenth Century:
The more closely the temporal power of a nation aligns itself with the spiritual, and the more it fosters and promotes the latter, by so much the more it contributes to the conservation of the commonwealth. For it is the aim of the ecclesiastical authority by the use of spiritual means, to form good Christians in accordance with its own particular end and object; and in doing this it helps at the same time to form good citizens, and prepares them to meet their obligations as members of a civil society. This follows of necessity because in the City of God, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a good citizen and an upright man are absolutely one and the same thing. How grave therefore is the error of those who separate things so closely united, and who think that they can produce good citizens by ways and methods other than those which make for the formation of good Christians. For, let human prudence say what it likes and reason as it pleases, it is impossible to produce true temporal peace and tranquillity by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity. (Silvio Cardinal Antoniano, quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)
How can civil leaders defy the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law on a regular basis by promoting things that are indeed repugnant and opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity not incur the wrath of God on themselves, at least by the moment of their Particular Judgments, and on their country?
We must show forth our love for the Most Holy Trinity by striving for personal holiness in cooperation with the graces sent to us by God through the loving hands of His Most Blessed Mother. Perseverance in a life of Mortal Sin and the pursuit of holiness are mutually exclusive to each other. No one can expect to grow in holiness if his soul is repugnant in the sight of God by means of unrepentant Mortal Sin. No one can expect to be an instrument of "justice" in his own life or in the lives of others or in the larger life of his nation if his soul is repugnant in the sight of God by means of Mortal Sin and/or he is indifferent to and/or supportive of such sin in the the souls of others.
God's love for us is an act of His Divine Will, the ultimate of expression of which is the salvation of our immortal souls as members of the Catholic Church who die in states of Sanctifying Grace (and are prepared at all times to face the moment of their Particular Judgments by being conscious of the need to be in a state of Sanctifying Grace, being sure to make ask Our Lady for the grace of Perfect Contrition for our sins as we pray the Act of Contrition each morning and night of our lives). We must love others as God loves us. That is, we must never do or say anything that interferes in any way with the salvation of the soul of another human being.
Sadly, however, many Catholics today, steeped in the sentimentality of the naturalism of the religiously indifferent civil state and the moral and theological relativism that are the product of cultural pluralism, mistake sentimentality for "love" as they fail to recognize that objectively sinful acts are displeasing to God and harmful, both temporally and eternally, to the souls who commit them. The cultural factors that have steeped Catholics in such a state of emotionalism and illogic and irrationality have been enabled all the more by concilairism's apostate spirit, enshrined in the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service both in principle and in praxis and made incarnate as grave sins against the First Commandment are committed by the conciliar "pontiffs" and their conciliar "bishops" time and time and time again.
It is no wonder, therefore, that many Catholics attached to the Miami, Florida, area have been "softened up" by the devil to accept the sinful behavior of Presbyter Alberto Cutie as nothing other than an expression of "love" when it is--and remains--nothing other than a rebellion against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments. Such a rebellion is the antithesis of God's love, as Saint John the Evangelist made abundantly clear:
For this is the charity of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy. (1 John 5: 3.)
We must indeed show forth our love for the Most Holy Trinity by striving for personal holiness in cooperation with the graces sent to us through the loving hands of His Most Blessed Mother. Go tell that, however, to the insane Catholics who flock to an Episcopalian "church" last week to hear the reprobate and apostate Cutie deliver his first sermon from his new address along One World Ecumenical Church Road:
BISCAYNE PARK, Fla. – A popular Miami priest nicknamed "Father Oprah" said Sunday that "church is about forgiveness" during his first sermon since leaving the Roman Catholic Church to become Episcopalian amid an uproar over published photos of him kissing his girlfriend on the beach.
The Rev. Alberto Cutie (pronounced KOO'-tee-ay) gave the sermon at the Episcopal Church of The Resurrection in Miami. Episcopal priests can marry, unlike their Catholic counterparts. It will take him at least a year to become a priest in his new church.
The cozy church was overflowing with supporters, most having to stand along the aisles or lean against the walls. Many in the crowd said they were not members but came to support Cutie.
"This little church has been neglected, and membership is not great," said Jackie Fernandez, who attends another Episcopal church in the Miami area. She said within the year that will all change thanks to Cutie.
Cutie said in a TV interview in early May that he was in love with the woman in the photos and that they have been romantically involved for about two years after being friends for much longer. His girlfriend has been identified in local media as 35-year-old Ruhama Buni Canellis. He has not said if he plans to marry her, but noted in a statement this week that as he became an Episcopalian, he "has seen the ways that many of my brothers serve God as married men."
"If love was his mistake, then I'll still support him. Love makes the world go round," said Ysset DeCarlo, 44. She brought along her 17-year-old daughter Stephanie, who made her confession to Cutie for her confirmation.
Cutie received a standing ovation and told several jokes, quipping that "my stuff is in storage." He didn't directly address his relationship with his girlfriend.
"The spirit of God has been with me," he said. "And I'm going to tell you something: God is the only one we follow."
He also said church was about seeking God, not people, and added: "Church is about forgiveness."
Cutie has said his decision to switch was made over time, not since the photos in a Spanish-language magazine rocked South Florida's Spanish-speaking community, where he was known for his good looks and as the host of a TV show on which he gave relationship advice, earning him the "Father Oprah" moniker.
He was removed from his Miami Beach Catholic parish after the photos surfaced in early May.
His decision to switch has drawn harsh words from Archbishop John Favalora, who said he met with Cutie after the photos were published and the priest didn't mention changing churches. Favalora has admonished Cutie and Episcopal leaders in Miami.
Cutie headed the archdiocese's Radio Paz and Radio Peace broadcasts, heard throughout the Americas and in Spain.
The Cuban-American priest was born in Puerto Rico and previously hosted shows on Telemundo, the second-largest Spanish-language network in the U.S. and the Western Hemisphere. He is also a syndicated Spanish-language columnist and author of the book "Real Life, Real Love: 7 Paths to a Strong, Lasting Relationship."
Ignacio Bolivar, 65, said he thought Cutie was intensely conflicted about his relationship with the woman and his views on marriage.
"I think he tried to tell the Catholic Church what he wanted to do. That he wanted to get married," Bolivar said.
Bolivar also joked about Cutie's talents as a speaker and good looks, in light of his switch: "The Catholic Church has to put ugly priests up there." (Fla.'s 'Father Oprah': Church is about forgiveness - Yahoo! News.)
Look at two of these quotes:
"If love was his mistake, then I'll still support him. Love makes the world go round." (Yssette DeCarlo.)
"Church is about forgiveness." (Alberto Cutie.)
Mrs. DeCarlo, a man does not "love" a woman by persisting in sin with her. Worse yet, a man who believes himself to be, albeit falsely, a priest does not show forth his love for God by violating his vow of Chastity. Mrs. DeCarlo, this is love, not sentimentality:
For this is the charity of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy. (1 John 5: 3.)
Our Lord did indeed forgive Saint Mary Magdalene when she was about to be stoned to death by Pharisees who had caught her in the act of adultery. He did not condemn her, just as He does not condemn us when we fall into sin.
Neither, however, did Our Lord reaffirm Saint Mary Magdalene in her sin of adultery. He did not applaud her. He did not excuse the gravity of violating the Sixth Commandment. He did not explain away her sin by saying that she was genetically-predisposed to commit it or that it was "impossible" for her to keep from committing it. Our Lord, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity made Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, said the following to her:
Go, and now sin no more. (John 8: 11.)
Our Lord told His friend from Bethany to reform her life, to quit her sins once and for all. He tells us the same thing in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance as we resolve to amend our lives as we pray the Act of Contrition as a true priest administers Absolution upon our immortal souls, thereby applying the merits His own Most Precious Blood upon them.
Alberto Cutie does not want to amend his life. He wants to have his life outside of the conciliar structures and serve in the "ministry" of yet another false religion, one that is about "forgiveness" but has no means to forgive sins as it was born in a schismatic act of rebellion by the lustful King Henry VIII, who wanted to change his state-in-life by having Pope Clement VII declare his sacramentally valid marriage to Queen Catherine of Aragon null and void. Alberto Cutie has gone from what he thought was the Catholic Church, and presumably believed to be the one and only true Church, to a "church" born in a rebellion against the one and only true Church by a English king who refused to cooperate with Sanctifying Grace to keep his marriage vows faithfully.
Indeed, the entire Protestant Revolution against the Divine Plan that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself personally instituted to effect man's return to Him through His Catholic Church was born as a result of the unwillingness of Martin Luther to refrain from breaking the Sixth and Ninth Commandments and wound up propagating lie of civil divorce as being compatible with the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Luther invented an entire system of theological relativism to reaffirm himself in his sins by claiming that all a "believer" had to do was to "say" that he was "sorry" for his sins and he would know "forgiveness" from God. This system of theological relativism has wreaked havoc in the world in the past 492 years.
The current popularity of Barack Hussein Obama, who supports things such as abortion and contraception and perversity under cover of the civil law that are repugnant and opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity, and Alberto Cutie, who is being applauded for committing sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments in the name of a concept of "love" that is nothing other than the same lust that ensnared Martin Luther and Henry Tudor (Henry VIII), are just two of its products. There are hundreds of millions of more, and there are hundreds of millions of Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism who have been influenced by the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic ethos to such an extent that they view themselves and the world through distorted lens of the rationalism of Protestantism and the naturalism of Judeo-Masonry that is but the logical consequence of the belief that it does not matter what religion one belongs to, if any, as long as one is a "good" person.
Most of the Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism do not read the conciliar documents or the allocutions given by the conciliar "pontiffs." They have seen images of these "pontiffs" and their "bishops" treating the "ministers" of false religions as their equals, which is one of the reasons why the conciliar "archbishop" of Miami, John Favalora, a thorough-going son of the conciliar revolution, will find little support for his outrage over Alberto Cutie's defection to another address along One World Ecumenical Church Road.
After all, it's a little disingenuous to be outraged about a defection from one's own ranks when one has treated the ministers of the Episcopalian sect in one's own community in exactly the same manner as one's conciliar "popes" have treated the false "archbishops"of Canterbury, that is, as equals. Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have seen the conciliar "popes" esteem the symbols of false religions and praise their nonexistent "ability" to "build" the "better" world. Why shouldn't Albert Cutie be able to go wherever he wants to go in the name of "love" and in the service of the "one God" Who is believed to be indifferent to denominationalism?
John Favalora has participated in the same sort of conciliar travesties as have the conciliar "popes." Here is just one of those travesties:
A Muslim imam, the archbishop of Miami, a rabbi and a Protestant minister met at a Miami Beach synagogue Wednesday night to talk about a religious figure who inspired them all: Pope John Paul II.
They were among the nearly 500 clergy and lay people who gathered at Temple Emanu-El to celebrate Pope John Paul II's historic visit to a Rome synagogue more than 20 years ago, when he became the first Roman Catholic pontiff to visit a Jewish temple.
''His visit represents a model for recognizing the holiness in the other,''Rabbi Fred Klein, director of Community Chaplaincy for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, said in an interview. "I can have a truth claim without having that claim negate someone else's truth claim.''
Klein joined Miami Archbishop John Favalora, Imam Nasir Ahmad of Masjid Al-Ansar and the Rev. Priscilla Felisky Whitehead, a United Church of Christ minister, for a panel discussion on how the pope's gesture has shaped interfaith relations.
''It's by doing that we really accomplish what he was trying to teach us, to tell us,'' said Favalora, in urging the crowd to act on the pope's teachings.
The dialogue is part of an ongoing inter-faith pilot project to improve Catholic-Jewish relations. The program has gained support from the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Archdiocese of Miami and the Miami Coalition of Christians and Jews, said Jim Howe, executive director of the Miami Coalition of Christians and Jews.
Eventually, religious and community leaders hope to get churches and synagogues to celebrate April 13, the day the pope visited a synagogue in Rome in 1986, as an inter-faith holiday.
The crowd honored the late pope with a moment of silence, which was broken by the sound of the shofar, the ram's horn that is sounded on Jewish holidays. An inter-faith invocation of Catholic prayers and a recitation of a chapter of the Koran in classical Arabic followed.
Congregants were asked to imagine they were sitting in the synagogue in Rome listening to Pope John Paul II, except in this case the part of the pope was played by Samuel Baum -- a college student wearing jeans and a stylish striped blazer -- who read a portion of the pope's 1986 speech. (Alexandra Alter, "CLERICS FROM DIFFERENT FAITHS GATHER TO RECALL POPE JOHN PAUL II'S VISIT TO A SYNAGOGUE, Miami Herald, January 18, 2007; if you don't think that this act of apostasy was sinful, please do read Wonder No More and "When He Cometh, Shall He Find, Think You, Faith on Earth?".)
Sins against the First Commandment have been committed and suborned by the conciliar "pontiffs" and their "bishops" on a regular basis, making it more possible for ordinary Catholics yet attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to dismiss the serious of the sins promoted by Barack Hussein Obama and those committed openly and blatantly by the apostate Alberto Cutie.
Today is Trinity Sunday. Each "ecumenical" gathering is an offense against the Most Blessed Trinity--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost--as the appearance is given that the Catholic Church, the one and only repository and infallible explicator of Divine Revelation, has something to "learn" from these gatherings that she does not already possess of her own Divine Constitution. These gatherings are offensive to the Most Holy Trinity as they give the impression that God Himself is not displeased with false religions and that they, the false religions, are valid means of sanctification and salvation for their adherents, that there is no need for a Catholic to seek with urgency the conversion of those in these false religions to the true Church, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order.
We need to make reparation for these grave offenses against God as we make reparation each day for our own many sins, which is why I endorse most heartily this effort that has been announced by His Excellency Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P., of Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in our old stomping grounds of Monroe, Connecticut:
NOW is the time; later is too late - all might be lost by then!
Our country is on the verge of losing its freedom to Socialism / Fascism.
Holy Mother Church is being ravaged by Modernism and Ecumenism.
We and our families are constantly oppressed and besieged by the errors and evils of Materialism, Hedonism, and perversity of all kinds to the detriment of our spiritual welfare and the salvation of our souls.
NOW is the time to storm Heaven:
for the welfare of our country,
for the return to the one true Catholic faith;
for the salvation of souls.
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope, to thee do we cry....

*Join with us in our petitions:
for the welfare of our country,
for the return to the one true Catholic faith,
for the salvation of souls.
This devotion may be practiced any time of the year, and it would be well to do so, but in our attempt "to storm the gates of Heaven" we are asking you to join us in the fifteen weeks preceding the great feast of Rosary Sunday, commemorating the great Catholic victory won in the waters off Lepanto when the faithful, reciting the Rosary, obtained from the Blessed Virgin the desired victory. This year Rosary Sunday falls on October 4. We must start on Saturday, June 27 (Sunday, June 28).
If you are prohibited from starting this devotion at this time, please practice it when you are able. The worst thing is to do NOTHING!
Manner of Performing This Devotion
Before Communion:
"To gain our requests, we should be careful to perform all our actions well for the love of Jesus and Mary. In order that this devotion may be fruitful, all who practice it should try to imitate the virtues of Jesus and Mary by constant and devout meditation on Their most holy lives. Hence, on each Saturday/Sunday it will be necessary to meditate on the appointed Mystery in order to draw from it fruit for our spiritual advancement; it would be well also to sanctify the day by the recital of the whole Rosary [or at the least, the five decades containing the appointed Mystery]". The Rosarians Handbook
At Communion:
"By means of Holy Communion Jesus unites Himself intimately to the soul, and it is the most favorable time to ask for favors...ask with lively faith from Jesus, through Our Lady of the Rosary, and you will obtain it." The Fifteen Saturdays of the Rosary

Explanation of This Devotion
“Everyone can well value the excellence of this heavenly treasure [The Fifteen Saturdays] from the preciousness of the whole Rosary, the prayer dearest to Mary, the most favored by the Saints, the most decorated by kings, the most privileged by the Pontiffs, the most frequented by people, illustrated by God with the most stupendous miracles, and strengthened by the greatest promises the Blessed Virgin ever made. Add to this the merits and immense graces the soul gains by considering the Life and Passion of Jesus Christ.
“It is true that such meditations themselves are very profitable to purge and enlighten the soul and unite them to God; but who can deny that this consideration, joined to the recitation of the Rosary, is a kind of prayer much more perfect and noble, sweeter, easier, and more profitable to souls?
“But the excellent practice of the Fifteen Saturdays does not only contain what is holiest and most efficacious in the Rosary, viz. the remembrance of the actions and sorrows of Jesus, but, which is more, the frequentation of the Sacraments, especially Holy Communion received in memory of what our Savior did for us, the perseverance in prayers and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. Moreover, it unites to all these things a particular application, in order to please God in our works and to sanctify ourselves during fifteen weeks. Behold the most powerful efficacy of this devotion!
"Our Savior, seeing Himself commemorated, pitied, thanked by us in the consideration of His Mysteries, just as we unite ourselves to Him by Holy Communion… He sees Himself, as it were, almost obliged to request His Eternal Father, and show Him His wounds, His Blood, His merits, which all then become our own by means of Holy Communion.” The Fifteen Saturdays of the Most Holy Rosary
"'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life', these are the words of Jesus, the Eternal Wisdom. He who does not seek Jesus can never know Him or walk in the straight path which leads to heaven, but will certainly fall in to the darkness of error.
"Let us seek Him in the Rosary, keeping before our minds the Mysteries contained in it; let us meditate upon them seriously. This study will enable us to discover therein countless beauties which will incite us to love ever more and more the most sweet Hearts of Jesus and Mary. We shall feel ourselves happily drawn to God, the source of our eternal happiness, and we shall be content even under the weight of the sorrows we meet with whilst here on earth.
"If it should happen that, not content with practicing this devotion on Saturdays, some were led to repeat it often, nay, even every day of the week, who can tell the immense advantages their souls would obtain when they had accomplished fifteen entire weeks of pious meditation of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus?" The Rosarians Handbook
"This admirable devotion has obtained for the faithful innumerable blessings and signal favors; according to authentic depositions, the blind have received their sight; the deaf, hearing; the dumb, speech; the paralytic and those afflicted with many other corporal maladies have been healed. By it extraordinary conversions of obdurate sinners have been obtained, passions conquered, and virtues acquired. And now, as in the past, those who perform this devotion with faith and fervor may hope… to receive similar favors and blessings, and to have their most grievous maladies of both body and soul cured. When we desire to obtain any favor from God, we should endeavor to perform this devotion." The Fifteen Saturdays of the Rosary
"This devotion of the fifteen Saturdays/Sundays can be practiced at any time during the year, either with the intention of obtaining some special favors, or as an act of thanksgiving, or from pure devotion, and when ended may be begun again immediately." The Rosarians Handbook
Indulgences (taken from The Raccolta, 1952)
#397 The faithful who resolve to perform a devout exercise in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary for fifteen uninterrupted Saturdays (or these being impeded, for as many respective Sundays immediately following) if they devoutly recite at least a third part of the Rosary or meditate on its mysteries in some other manner may gain: A plenary indulgence on the usual conditions, on any of these fifteen Saturdays, or corresponding Sundays.
#395c Those who piously recite a third part of the Rosary in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament publicly exposed or even reserved in the tabernacle, as often as they do this, may gain: 1. A plenary indulgence, on the condition of confession and Communion. 2. If, as is the custom during the recitation of the Rosary, the faithful use a chaplet [Rosary], they may gain other indulgences in addition to those enumerated above, if the chaplet is blessed by a religious of the Order of Preachers or another priest having special faculties. Third Order of Penance of St. Dominic.)
Most of us have, if we are truly honest with ourselves, suborned sin in our own lives and, very likely, in the lives of others. We have committed sins of our own for which we need to make reparation and to live in a spirit of true penance as we accept the Adorable Will of God however He manifests it to us, especially when He asks us to carry our crosses as we remember that nothing we suffer--not one little thing or one great thing--is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Lord to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death. We must always say "Blessed be the adorable Will of God" when we are afflicted, recognizing that our sins deserve far, far worse than we can ever suffer in this passing, mortal vale of tears.
We must, therefore, make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world, recognizing as well that we have indeed perhaps been accessories (by counsel, by command, by consent, by provocation, by praise or flatter, by concealment, by partaking, by silence, by defense of the ill done) to the sins of others, including the sins of the conciliar revolutionaries against the First Commandment if we have been silent in the wake of these grave sins that offend God so gravely and mislead souls so severely.
Our goal in life is to praise the Most Blessed Trinity for all eternity in Heaven. We can only do that, however, if we please God here on earth by cleaving to the truly good shepherds who make never mix truth with error and who never make any compromises with the ethos of conciliarism that has suborned grave sins against the First Commandment on a regular basis.
Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., wrote the following meditation in The Light of the World that should serve as an inspiration to us:
Today's feast is celebrated in honor of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, the Triune God, in thanksgiving for His eternal mercy, because of which He has created us, redeemed us, and sanctified us.
"O depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God" (Epistle). With St. Paul and Holy Mother the Church we stand in awe at the depth of the divine mercy, of the divine wisdom, and of the divine knowledge. We are amazed at the great wisdom and love of God as manifested in His selection of men, particularly in His selection of the Gentiles in preference to the chosen people of Israel, as the recipients of His grace and redemption. The heathens were the first to wander away from God, and God selected the Israelites as His chosen people. But Israel in turn rejected Christ and salvation, and because of the infidelity and the unbelief of the Jews, the gospel was given to the Gentiles. "For God hath concluded all in unbelief (both Jews and heathens) that He may have mercy on all" (Rom. 11:32). At the end of time both the Jews and the heathens will belong to Christ. "O depths of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God. How incomprehensible are His judgments, and how unsearchable His ways! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been His counsellor? Or who hath first given to Him, and recompense shall be made him? For of Him and by Him and in Him are all things to Him be glory forever" (Epistle). "Blessed be the Holy Trinity and undivided unity; we will give glory to Him because He hath shown His mercy to us" (Introit.)
This is the God to whom we are consecrated. He has in His infinite mercy made us sharers of His divine life. We have been baptized "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost" (Gospel), and we share in the inexhaustible riches of the life of the Holy Trinity: we have even been made"partakers of the divine nature" (II Pet. 1:4). Therefore by virtue of our baptism we belong, not to ourselves, not to created things, not to men, not to the world nor to Satan, but to God. At the time of our baptism we renounced all these things, and since then we believe in the Father, and in the Son, and in the Holy Ghost. We have been consecrated to Them, and we belong entirely to Them. Anything less than God is unworthy of us, and God alone can satisfy us, not only during our earthly sojourn, but also in heaven, where we shall one day share the inexhaustible riches of the holy and blissful life of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. This life comes to us entirely through the mercy of God. "Blessed be the Holy Trinity and undivided unity; we will give glory to Him because He hath shown His mercy to us" (Introit).
This is a day for giving thanks to the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. During the course of the Church year we have been made aware of the innumerable blessings of love and mercy conferred by God on us, on the Church, and on all mankind. "For God so loved the world as to give His only-begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him may not perish, but may have life everlasting" (John 3:16).
This is a day for renewing our consecration to God. We should renounce the world with our whole heart, and break away effectually from all that can be displeasing to Him. As on the day of our baptism, we should repeat: "I believe in the Father, and in the Son, and in the Holy ghost." This belief implies more than the admission that the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost exist and constitute God in three persons. It implies that I live for the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, by whom I have been sanctified, and to whom I have been consecrated by my baptism. This consecration we renew again today, and we should ratify it daily and make it more effective through the devout participation in the Mass. When we say the preliminary prayers at the foot of the altar, we rid ourselves of all attachments to the world, reject all infidelity, and renounce all that is alien to our state as creatures consecrated to God. At the Offertory we lay our hearts at the side of the bread and wine that we may make a new consecration and dedication of ourselves to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. During the Consecration of the Mass, the sacrifice fire of our Lord and Savior will descend from heaven upon our offering, enkindling it with the fire of His love, and He will bear it up to heaven. We, too, are consecrated and offered up to the Father. We live, now no longer for ourselves, but for God alone.
The dedication of ourselves to God is strengthened and sealed by the Lord at the time of Holy Communion. This earthly consecration extends through Holy Communion to the eternal communio in Heaven, where we shall enjoy the companionship of God the Father, God the Son, and of God the Holy Ghost. Then we shall see Him just as He is, face to face. For all eternity we shall share His life, His glory, His divine knowledge, and the mansions of His eternal love. This glorious reward the Son of God earned for us while on earth, by His life, His suffering, and His death. "We bless the God of heaven, and before all living we will praise him: because He hath shown His mercy to us" (Communion). (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World, Volume II, pp. 6-8.)
"We should renounce the world with our whole heart, and break away effectually from all that can be displeasing to Him." We have displeased God many times by means of our own sins. In his ineffable Mercy, Our Lord sent Our Lady to Saint Dominic de Guzman so that we could be given her Most Holy Rosary to be chief means after Holy Mass and Eucharistic piety by which to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world.
Shouldn't we want to the console the good God by our Rosaries as we seek to make reparation for our sins and as we pray for the day when everyone in the world will start and end their days with the very Sign of our salvation, the Sign of the Cross, as they say reverently and devoutly the Name of the Most Holy Trinity in which we were Baptized and thus had Original Sin flooded out of our immortal souls as the very inner life of that Most Blessed Trinity was flooded therein:
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
