Having No Regard for the Horror of Personal Sin

by Thomas A. Droleskey

One of the principal evil effects of the apostate ethos associated with the the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service is the loss of the horror of personal sin that has been engendered throughout the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Mind you, it would be irresponsible and intellectual dishonest and very unjust to claim that each and every Catholic attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have lost a sense of the horror of personal sin. By no means is this is the case.

Indeed, I have been a Catholic my entire life, save for the regrettable sixty-four day period between my birth at Jamaica Hospital, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, on Saturday, November 24, 1951, and my Baptism at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Queens Village, New York, on Sunday, January 27, 1952. Although I am a sinner and shutter to think, as I was taught in Fourth Grade by Sister Inez Marie, R.S.M., that my sins of thought, word and deed will be revealed for all to see on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead, I am ashamed of my sins and I hate them, each and every one of them because I love God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His true Church and I am so aware of how my sins caused Him to suffer such unspeakable horrors during His Passion and Death and how the caused those Seven Swords of Sorrow to be pierced through and through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. It is my daily prayer that I might live long enough to make reparation for my sins, many of which have, of course, rendered me a very, very poor witness in behalf of the immutable truths of the Catholic Faith and which account for why so many of those who know of my sins and faults and failings refuse to take anything that I say or do now seriously (see Remembering Us When).

Solely by the graces won for me by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross that flow into my soul through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Grace, I had horror and detestation for my sins when I was attached to the structures of what I know to be now the counterfeit church of conciliarism. I had horror and detestation for my sins when I was a daily participation in the travesty that is the Novus Ordo service from the 1970s to the late-1980s, at which point I became a Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation indulterer, at least for the most until 1997 when I abandoned the Sunday Novus Ordo service for good, and until all participation in the Novus Ordo on a weekday basis ended after the death of our dear friend, the late Father Salvatore Franco, on the Feast of Saint Lucy, December 13, 2002, who had provided us with a refuge from the Novus Ordo on Long Island by offering the Mass of the ages for us in the kitchen of his home in Westbury, New York.

Solely by the graces of Our Lady, therefore, I was able, despite my sins, to maintain a horror and detestation and a shame for my offenses against God and my neighbor even though I was attached to what I now realize and accept to be a false church that is an ape of the Catholic Church and is headed by a blatant apostate who dares to offend God by esteeming places of devil worship and by propagating as "Catholic" "truths" propositions that have been condemned repeatedly by the authority of the Catholic Church. And there are many Catholics, true priests and presbyters and laity alike, yet attached to the counterfeit church of conciliarism who have that same horror and detestation of personal sins. While it is true that they must confront the reality of our ecclesiastical situation and ponder the teaching of Saint Servatus (see Keep Focused on Root Causes) once they come to recognize and to reject the apostasy that is before our very eyes so blatantly, it is nevertheless true that many good and well-meaning Catholics have been given the Actual Graces to recognize the horror of their own personal sins even if they are as of yet blinded to the reality of the sins against the honor and glory and majesty of God that have been committed so openly by the conciliar "pontiffs," including Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI in just the past eight days during his pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel.

All of this having been noted as a matter of strict justice and complete intellectual honesty (something that the spin doctors for Ratzinger/Benedict in "conservative" and quasi-traditional circles have forgotten is a mandate of the moral life), it is also true that most Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have become so accustomed to the apostate ethos of the Novus Ordo that they have lost any sense of the horror of personal sins in their own lives or in the lives of others, having utterly no clear as to what even pagan philosophers such as Plato understood (see the fifth book of his Republic), that disorder in the souls of men caused by sin (and Plato understood "sin" in the sense of violations of the Natural Law as he was able to apprehend it by the light of reason unaided by the light of Divine Revelation) is the proximate reason for all disorder in societies. That is, disorder in the souls of men produced by personal sins leads to disorder within nations and between them.

Most Catholics yet attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism today do not understand this to be the case, which is why they engage in unrepentant sins quite shamelessly, speaking indecently and dressing immodestly as they become accessories to the sins of others and suborn it in society at large, "educating" their own children to accept objectively sinful behavior as "normal" and "natural," and that anyone who teaches otherwise is a religious "fanatic" or a "kook" or a member of a "cult" who wants to be "different" from the "mainstream"of society.

The anti-penitential spirit of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service is proved by the words contained in Paragraph 15 of the General Instruction to the Roman Missal:

The same awareness of the present state of the world also influenced the use of texts from very ancient tradition. It seemed that this cherished treasure would not be harmed if some phrases were changed so that the style of language would be more in accord with the language of modern theology and would faithfully reflect the actual state of the Church's discipline. Thus there have been changes of some expressions bearing on the evaluation and use of the good things of the earth and of allusions to a particular form of outward penance belonging to another age in the history of the Church.

Who says that "allusions to a particular form of outward penance" belongs "to another age in the history of the Church"? Only those who have lost any belief  in the horror of personal sins, those, such as "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch, who deny that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died in atonement for our sins (and Robert Zollitsch remains uncorrected and without any rebuke from the head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, five weeks after his denial of the propitiatory Sacrifice that Our Lord made to His Co-Eternal and Co-Equal Father in Spirit and in Truth in atonement for our sins), those who believe that the Mass is but a memorial of the Last Supper and not the unbloody re-presentation or perpetuation of the Sacrifice of the Cross, those who are themselves steeped in lives of unrepentant personal sin and who do now want and/or do not see any need to reform their lives in order to save their immortal souls. In others, conciliar revolutionaries and their disciples, building on the work of Protestants and the early Modernists, believe that "allusions to a particular form outward penance" belongs "to another age in the history of the Church." Those who believe this lie, however, do not believe in Catholicism. They believe in a false, man-made religion that is of the devil.

Those who have been convinced by the ethos of conciliarism, especially as it is expressed liturgically in the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, substitute irrationality, sentimentality and emotionalism for the truths of the Faith, responding with such inanities as "A 'loving' God would never send anyone to Hell." "Why is it wrong to condemn people who simply want to be 'loved' by others in 'relationships' that the Church disapproves of?' "Who are you to tell me how to live?" "I have my own truth in my heart. I don't need any Church to tell me how to live." "I control what I do with my body. I have my 'rights'  I won't listen to the 'dictatorship' of a 'patriarchical' society."

Those who utter such inanities are 'patriarchal' impervious to rational discussion, responding emotionally with "but, but, but" to every attempt to defending the objective nature of moral truths, which are knowable by reason alone but which have been entrusted ultimately by Our Lord to His Holy Church for their eternal safekeeping and infallible explication in order to protect them from the vagaries of fallen human nature, which inclines us to make excuses in our sins and to denigrate their importance, even going so far as to deny that objectively sinful behavior is sinful at all--or, if it is, that there might be "exceptions" in "hard cases" to the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law that a "loving God" would certainly understand.

Such beliefs are, however, empty projections onto God of human desires to make God into something that He is not, which is exactly what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI does when he projects his false and condemned notion of dogmatic truth onto God despite the fact that his beliefs have been solemnly condemned by the authority of the Catholic Church. It is indeed very difficult for many Catholics yet attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to have a sense of horror about their own personal sins when the man they believe, albeit falsely, to be the "pope" commits grave sins, objectively speaking, against the First Commandment, causing Catholics and non-Catholics alike to believe erroneously that it is not a violation of the First Commandment to esteem the symbols, places and beliefs of false religions.

Dr. Nicholas Delgado, our friend from Pensacola, Florida, who is a parishioner of the great son of Saint Francis, Father Francis Miller, O.F.M.., informed me just yesterday that a friend of his who goes to a chapel administered by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter has been convinced that the public scandals given by Ratzinger/Benedict cannot be "judged" as to do so would be to interpret the latter's "internal" intentions, which, of course, only God can judge. Public scandals and words contrary to the Faith can be judged on the basis of their concurrence with the Catholic Faith.

If this is not so, then the likes of Saint Athanasius and Saint Basil and Saint Jerome and Saint Augustine and Saint Servatus, among so many others, would never have been able to utter a single word about the heretics and blasphemers of their own day. These canonized saints did not judge the internal dispositions of the souls of heretics and blasphemers; they condemned their words and actions as contrary to the Faith, offensive to God and injurious  to the souls for whom the Son of God made Man in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross to redeem.

To be able to recognize apostates from believers is a duty, a mandate, if you will, of the Catholic Faith, anyone who wants to exculpate himself from rising to a singular  defense of the honor and glory and majesty of God and of the integrity of the Holy Faith because the judgment of internal forum belongs to God alone is betraying the defined teaching of the Catholic Church, which makes it our duty to recognize and reject heresy and heretics as we pray for their conversion back tot he true Faith, and is shirking their solemn responsibility before God to defend the Faith clearly and unequivocally when it is undermined by public scandals and/or words and deeds of men who believe themselves, albeit falsely, to be vested with ecclesiastical authority in the Catholic Church.

Pope Pius VI made this very clear in Inscrutabile, December 25, 1775:

You yourselves, established as scouts in the house of Israel, see clearly the many victories claimed by a philosophy full of deceit. You see the ease with which it attracts to itself a great host of peoples, concealing its impiety with the honorable name of philosophy. Who could express in words or call to mind the wickedness of the tenets and evil madness which it imparts? While such men apparently intend to search out wisdom, "they fail because they do not search in the proper way. . . and they fall into errors which lead them astray from ordinary wisdom." They have come to such a height of impiety that they make out that God does not exist, or if He does that He is idle and uncaring, making no revelation to men. Consequently it is not surprising that they assert that everything holy and divine is the product of the minds of inexperienced men smitten with empty fear of the future and seduced by a vain hope of immortality. But those deceitful sages soften and conceal the wickedness of their doctrine with seductive words and statements; in this way, they attract and wretchedly ensnare many of the weak into rejecting their faith or allowing it to be greatly shaken. While they pursue a remarkable knowledge, they open their eyes to behold a false light which is worse than the very darkness. Naturally our enemy, desirous of harming us and skilled in doing so, just as he made use of the serpent to deceive the first human beings, has armed the tongues of those men with the poison of his deceitfulness in order to lead astray the minds of the faithful. The prophet prays that his soul may be delivered from such deceitful tongues. In this way these men by their speech "enter in lowliness, capture mildly, softly bind and kill in secret." This results in great moral corruption, in license of thought and speech, in arrogance and rashness in every enterprise.

When they have spread this darkness abroad and torn religion out of men's hearts, these accursed philosophers proceed to destroy the bonds of union among men, both those which unite them to their rulers, and those which urge them to their duty. They keep proclaiming that man is born free and subject to no one, that society accordingly is a crowd of foolish men who stupidly yield to priests who deceive them and to kings who oppress them, so that the harmony of priest and ruler is only a monstrous conspiracy against the innate liberty of man.

Everyone must understand that such ravings and others like them, concealed in many deceitful guises, cause greater ruin to public calm the longer their impious originators are unrestrained. They cause a serious loss of souls redeemed by Christ's blood wherever their teaching spreads, like a cancer; it forces its way into public academies, into the houses of the great, into the palaces of kings, and even enters the sanctuary, shocking as it is to say so.

Consequently, you who are the salt of the earth, guardians and shepherds of the Lord's flock, whose business it is to fight the battles of the Lord, arise and gird on your sword, which is the word of God, and expel this foul contagion from your lands. How long are we to ignore the common insult to faith and Church? Let the words of Bernard arouse us like a lament of the spouse of Christ: "Of old was it foretold and the time of fulfillment is now at hand: Behold, in peace is my sorrow most sorrowful. It was sorrowful first when the martyrs died; afterwards it was more sorrowful in the fight with the heretics and now it is most sorrowful in the conduct of the members of the household.... The Church is struck within and so in peace is my sorrow most sorrowful. But what peace? There is peace and there is no peace. There is peace from the pagans and peace from the heretics, but no peace from the children. At that time the voice will lament: Sons did I rear and exalt, but they despised me. They despised me and defiled me by a bad life, base gain, evil traffic, and business conducted in the dark." Who can hear these tearful complaints of our most holy mother without feeling a strong urge to devote all his energy and effort to the Church, as he has promised? Therefore cast out the old leaven, remove the evil from your midst. Forcefully and carefully banish poisonous books from the eyes of your flock, and at once courageously set apart those who have been infected, to prevent them harming the rest. The holy Pope Leo used to say, "We can rule those entrusted to us only by pursuing with zeal for the Lord's faith those who destroy and those who are destroyed and by cutting them off from sound minds with the utmost severity to prevent the plague spreading." In doing this We exhort and advise you to be all of one mind and in harmony as you strive for the same object, just as the Church has one faith, one baptism, and one spirit. As you are joined together in the hierarchy, so you should unite equally with virtue and desire.

The affair is of the greatest importance since it concerns the Catholic faith, the purity of the Church, the teaching of the saints, the peace of the empire, and the safety of nations. Since it concerns the entire body of the Church, it is a special concern of yours because you are called to share in Our pastoral concern, and the purity of the faith is particularly entrusted to your watchfulness. "Now therefore, Brothers, since you are overseers among God's people and their soul depends on you, raise their hearts to your utterance," that they may stand fast in faith and achieve the rest which is prepared for believers only. Beseech, accuse, correct, rebuke and fear not: for ill-judged silence leaves in their error those who could be taught, and this is most harmful both to them and to you who should have dispelled the error. The holy Church is powerfully refreshed in the truth as it struggles zealously for the truth. In this divine work you should not fear either the force or favor of your enemies. The bishop should not fear since the anointing of the Holy Spirit has strengthened him: the shepherd should not be afraid since the prince of pastors has taught him by his own example to despise life itself for the safety of his flock: the cowardice and depression of the hireling should not dwell in a bishop's heart. Our great predecessor Gregory, in instructing the heads of the churches, said with his usual excellence: "Often imprudent guides in their fear of losing human favor are afraid to speak the right freely. As the word of truth has it, they guard their flock not with a shepherd's zeal but as hirelings do, since they flee when the wolf approaches by hiding themselves in silence....

A shepherd fearing to speak the right is simply a man retreating by keeping silent." But if the wicked enemy of the human race, the better to frustrate your efforts, ever brings it about that a plague of epidemic proportions is hidden from the religious powers of the world, please do not be terrified but walk in God's house in harmony, with prayer, and in truth, the three arms of our service. Remember that when the people of Juda were defiled, the best means of purification was the public reading to all, from the least to the greatest, of the book of the law lately found by the priest Helcias in the Lord's temple; at once the whole people agreed to destroy the abominations and seal a covenant in the Lord's presence to follow after the Lord and observe His precepts, testimonies and ceremonies with their whole heart and soul." For the same reason Josaphat sent priests and Levites to bring the book of the law throughout the cities of Juda and to teach the people. The proclamation of the divine word has been entrusted to your faith by divine, not human, authority. So assemble your people and preach to them the gospel of Jesus Christ. From that divine source and heavenly teaching draw draughts of true philosophy for your flock. Persuade them that subjects ought to keep faith and show obedience to those who by God's ordering lead and rule them. To those who are devoted to the ministry of the Church, give proofs of faith, continence, sobriety, knowledge, and liberality, that they may please Him to whom they have proved themselves and boast only of what is serious, moderate, and religious. But above all kindle in the minds of everyone that love for one another which Christ the Lord so often and so specifically praised. For this is the one sign of Christians and the bond of perfection. (Pope Pius VI, Inscrutabile, December 25, 1775.)

No one can say that he loves God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His true Church if he is indifferent to sin in his own life or in the life of others. No one can say that he loves God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His true Church if he refuses to raise his voice in defense of the Faith when it is threatened by heretics who claim to be ecclesiastical officials of the Catholic Church or when it is attacked by the scions of Modernity who hold civil office in the modern civil state, an entity whose very existence is premised upon a rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King as it must be exercised by the Catholic Church.

After all, if it is "impossible," as Motarians in the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter seem to contend,to judge the actions and words of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI as contrary to the Catholic Faith and hideous in the sight of God and injurious to souls (and thus to all social order as a result) because one has been taught that to do so is judge his "internal" intentions, then how is it possible to judge and condemn the words and actions of the pro-abort statist Barack Hussein Obama, a non-Catholic who does not now--nor has ever--known or accept the truths of the Catholic Faith? How is it possible to hold him to account for his own manifold and manifest warfare, objectively speaking, against the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law. Doesn't he have "internal intentions" that exculpate his role in the promotion and actual legal enabling of the executions of innocent preborn children?

Obviously, it is an absurd and self-serving rationalization to contend that it is impossible to condemn objective evils without being "guilty" of "judging" the subjective intentions of those in the ecclesiastical realm who engage in blasphemous and sacrilegious words and subjective intentions of those in the civil realm who promote one evil after another under cover of the civil law and in every aspect of popular culture. Evil is evil, and it must be denounced, leaving to God alone to judge the subject state of the souls of others, a fact that does nothing to alter our obligation to oppose evil as part of the Spiritual Works of Mercy for souls and our apostolic duty as Baptized and Confirmed members of the Catholic Church.

Pope Pius VIII, writing fifty-three and one-half years after Pope Pius VI, reiterated the grave obligations that Catholics have to oppose evil:

You know now what causes Our present grief. There are also other things, no less serious, which it would take too long to recount here, but which you know well. Shall We hold back Our voice when the Christian cause is in such great need? Shall We be restrained by human arguments? Shall We suffer in silence the rending of the seamless robe of Christ the Savior, which even the soldiers who crucified Him did not dare to rend? Let it never happen that We be found lacking in zealous pastoral care for Our flock, beset as it is by serious dangers. We know you will do even more than We ask, and that you will cherish, augment, and defend the faith by means of teachings, counsel, work, and zeal. (Pope Pius VIII, Traditi Humilitati Nostrae, May 24, 1829.)

Pope Pius Leo XIII used similarly strong words in Sapientiae Christianae, January 10, 1890, to exhort Catholics to oppose evil:

But in this same matter, touching Christian faith, there are other duties whose exact and religious observance, necessary at all times in the interests of eternal salvation, become more especially so in these our days. Amid such reckless and widespread folly of opinion, it is, as We have said, the office of the Church to undertake the defense of truth and uproot errors from the mind, and this charge has to be at all times sacredly observed by her, seeing that the honor of God and the salvation of men are confided to her keeping. But, when necessity compels, not those only who are invested with power of rule are bound to safeguard the integrity of faith, but, as St. Thomas maintains: "Each one is under obligation to show forth his faith, either to instruct and encourage others of the faithful, or to repel the attacks of unbelievers.'' To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamors are raised against truth, is the part of a man either devoid of character or who entertains doubt as to the truth of what he professes to believe. In both cases such mode of behaving is base and is insulting to God, and both are incompatible with the salvation of mankind. This kind of conduct is profitable only to the enemies of the faith, for nothing emboldens the wicked so greatly as the lack of courage on the part of the good. Moreover, want of vigor on the part of Christians is so much the more blameworthy, as not seldom little would be needed on their part to bring to naught false charges and refute erroneous opinions, and by always exerting themselves more strenuously they might reckon upon being successful. After all, no one can be prevented from putting forth that strength of soul which is the characteristic of true Christians, and very frequently by such display of courage our enemies lose heart and their designs are thwarted. Christians are, moreover, born for combat, whereof the greater the vehemence, the more assured, God aiding, the triumph: "Have confidence; I have overcome the world." Nor is there any ground for alleging that Jesus Christ, the Guardian and Champion of the Church, needs not in any manner the help of men. Power certainly is not wanting to Him, but in His loving kindness He would assign to us a share in obtaining and applying the fruits of salvation procured through His grace.

There is no room for any Catholic, no less those who fashion themselves "priests" attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to engage in spiritual malpractice to inform ordinary Catholics who look to them for spiritual guidance that it is "impossible" to denounce the scandalous words and actions of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and his conciliar "bishops" without serving as the "judges" of their internal dispositions. We judge words and actions on their own merits or demerits, and it is on that basis alone that true pope after true pope exhorted us to oppose evil no matter who promotes us and to flee from it.

Indeed, Father Frederick Faber, writing in The Dolors of Mary/The Foot of the Cross, published originally in 1857, explained that our love for God must be such that we must hate what he hates--sin--and the that crowning insult to God is heresy. What is this so difficult for Motarians and "conservative" Catholics to understand? Is God mutable? Does He now look with favor on a putative "pontiff" calling a mosque a "splendid" place of "worship" and a "jewel" that "stands out across the face of the earth? Does God look favorably on treating the false, superseded religion of Judaism as a valid and as a means of salvation for its adherents? If not, why the silence? Fear of "judging" the "internal intentions" of those guilty of offending the honor and glory and majesty of God and thus of misleading the souls of Catholics and non-Catholics alike?

Why the silence?

Why the silence?

Why the silence?

Why the silence from the "usual suspects" ("conservatives" and "progressives") and why the silence from the newest practitioners of silence in the face of "papal" outrages against the honor and glory and majesty of God, the bishops and the priests of the Society of Saint Pius X?

Why the indifference to grave offenses given to God most publicly that is of the essence of the lukewarmness described thusly by Father Faber:

The love of God brings many new instincts into the heart. Heavenly and noble as they are, they bear no resemblance to what men would call the finer and more heroic developments of character. A spiritual discernment is necessary to their right appreciation. They are so unlike the growth of earth, that they must expect to meet on earth with only suspicion, misunderstanding, and dislike. It is not easy to defend them from a controversial point of view; for our controversy is obliged to begin by begging the question, or else it would be unable so much as to state its case. The axioms of the world pass current in the world, the axioms of the gospel do not. Hence the world has its own way. It talks us down. It tries us before tribunals where our condemnation is secured beforehand. It appeals to principles which are fundamental with most men but are heresies with us. Hence its audience takes part with it against us. We are foreigners, and must pay the penalty of being so. If we are misunderstood, we had no right to reckon on any thing else, being as we are, out of our own country. We are made to be laughed at. We shall be understood in heaven. Woe to those easy-going Christians whom the world can understand, and will tolerate because it sees they have a mind to compromise!

The love of souls is one of these instincts which the love of Jesus brings into our hearts. To the world it is proselytism, there mere wish to add to a faction, one of the selfish developments of party spirit. One while the stain of lax morality is affixed to it, another while the reproach of pharisaic strictness! For what the world seems to suspect least of all in religion is consistency. But the love of souls, however apostolic, is always subordinate to love of Jesus. We love souls because of Jesus, not Jesus because of souls. Thus there are times and places when we pass from the instinct of divine love to another, from the love of souls to the hatred of heresy. This last is particularly offensive to the world. So especially opposed is it to the spirit of the world, that, even in good, believing hearts, every remnant of worldliness rises in arms against this hatred of heresy, embittering the very gentlest of characters and spoiling many a glorious work of grace. Many a convert, in whose soul God would have done grand things, goes to his grave a spiritual failure, because he would not hate heresy. The heart which feels the slightest suspicion against the hatred of heresy is not yet converted. God is far from reigning over it yet with an undivided sovereignty. The paths of higher sanctity are absolutely barred against it. In the judgment of the world, and of worldly Christians, this hatred of heresy is exaggerated, bitter, contrary to moderation, indiscreet, unreasonable, aiming at too much, bigoted, intolerant, narrow, stupid, and immoral. What can we say to defend it? Nothing which they can understand. We had, therefore, better hold our peace. If we understand God, and He understands us, it is not so very hard to go through life suspected, misunderstood and unpopular. The mild self-opinionatedness of the gentle, undiscerning good will also take the world's view and condemn us; for there is a meek-loving positiveness about timid goodness which is far from God, and the instincts of whose charity is more toward those who are less for God, while its timidity is searing enough for harsh judgment. There are conversions where three-quarters of the heart stop outside the Church and only a quarter enters, and heresy can only be hated by an undivided heart. But if it is hard, it has to be borne. A man can hardly have the full use of his senses who is bent on proving to the world, God's enemy, that a thorough-going Catholic hatred of heresy is a right frame of man. We might as well force a blind man to judge a question of color. Divine love inspheres in us a different circle of life, motive, and principle, which is not only not that of the world, but in direct enmity with it. From a worldly point of view, the craters in the moon are more explicable things than we Christians with our supernatural instincts. From the hatred of heresy we get to another of these instincts, the horror of sacrilege. The distress caused by profane words seems to the world but an exaggerated sentimentality. The penitential spirit of reparation which pervades the whole Church is, on its view, either a superstition or an unreality. The perfect misery which an unhallowed  touch of the Blessed Sacrament causes to the servants of God provokes either the world's anger or its derision. Men consider it either altogether absurd in itself, or at any rate out of all proportion; and, if otherwise they have proofs of our common sense, they are inclined to put down our unhappiness to sheer hypocrisy. The very fact that they do not believe as we believe removes us still further beyond the reach even of their charitable comprehension. If they do not believe in the very existence our sacred things, how they shall they judge the excesses of a soul to which these sacred things are far dearer than itself?

The false ethos of concilairism, founded in numerous defections from the Catholic Faith, has helped to rob most Catholics yet attached to the conciliar structures of the horrors of personal sins, which is why many of them will support a "Father" Cutie when he is torn between "love" for a woman and a call to the conciliar presbyterate (see Parishioners To Rally In Support Of Father Cutie) and why many of them actually applauded, in the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, mind you, the morally, doctrinally and liturgical corrupt former conciliar "archbishop"of Milwaukee, Rembert G. Weakland, O.S.B.,when he admitted that he had engaged in perverse behavior contrary to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments and had paid $450,000 in hush money to his partner in sin. Weakland, one of the many men steeped in moral perversion who were appointed as "ordinaries" or auxiliaries" in the conciliar structures by the corrupt Giovanni Montini/Paul VI, is so bereft of the Catholic Faith, that he can bemoan himself as a victim as follows:

“If we say our God is an all-loving god,” he said, “how do you explain that at any given time probably 400 million living on the planet at one time would be gay? Are the religions of the world, as does Catholicism, saying to those hundreds of millions of people, you have to pass your whole life without any physical, genital expression of that love?” (Ex-Archbishop Speaks About Catholic Church and Homosexuality)

As is the case with so many Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, Rembert G. Weakland has no concept of the horror of personal sin. He does not understand that no one "loves" another when he does or says anything that places the salvation of that other person in jeopardy. Rembert G. Weakland is really a prototype of the average conciliar Catholic, people who mistake "sentimentality" for "love," people who have never been taught that love is an act of the will and that the highest expression of love is will the good of others, the ultimate expression of which is the salvation of their immortal souls. No one can say that he "loves" God when he breaks His Commandments, no less when he portrays himself as a "victim" for not being to act as sees fit even God has made it very clear in Sacred Scripture that his actions are aberrant and actually brought down fire and brimstone from Heaven to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The loss of the sense of the horror of personal sin by the lion's share of Catholics who are as of yet attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is one of the reasons that fifty-four percent of them voted to elect the pro-abort statist and Marxist-trained Barack Hussein Obama as President of the United States of America on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Some of those who voted for Obama were and are "uneasy" about abortion, but they believed that Obama's "economic policies" would be good for the nation.

Such people, enabled by many conciliar presbyters, do not understand or not care that God will never permit any country to enjoy long term, sustained material prosperity when the shedding of innocent blood, both by chemical and surgical means, is permitted under cover of the civil law and promoted in every aspect of popular culture. Most Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism "think" or, more accurately, emote solely in naturalistic terms, refusing to believe or to accept that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal order because they have never been taught that this is the case (Ratzinger/Benedict believes that is is "enough" to find "common ground" with "believers" of other religions, each of which is inspired by the devil, who is worshiped in their liturgical "rites;" see the Exorcism of Nicola Aubrey), refusing to believe that the following reiteration of Catholic teaching concerning the connection between order in the souls of men and order in society has any relevance today:

The more closely the temporal power of a nation aligns itself with the spiritual, and the more it fosters and promotes the latter, by so much the more it contributes to the conservation of the commonwealth. For it is the aim of the ecclesiastical authority by the use of spiritual means, to form good Christians in accordance with its own particular end and object; and in doing this it helps at the same time to form good citizens, and prepares them to meet their obligations as members of a civil society. This follows of necessity because in the City of God, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a good citizen and an upright man are absolutely one and the same thing. How grave therefore is the error of those who separate things so closely united, and who think that they can produce good citizens by ways and methods other than those which make for the formation of good Christians. For, let human prudence say what it likes and reason as it pleases, it is impossible to produce true temporal peace and tranquillity by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity. (Silvio Cardinal Antoniano, quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)

This loss of the sense of sin in the conciliar structures is so profound that the administrators of the University of Notre Dame can give an honorary doctorate to Barack Hussein Obama, praising him for the "hope" that he has brought to the United States of America even though his policies do indeed promote things that are "repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity." The administrators of the University of Notre Dame can give an honorary doctorate to Barack Hussein Obama and despite the fact that he supports the mystical dismemberment and destruction of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs at all times without any exceptions or restrictions whatsoever. "Hope" for the United States of America? Such scandalous language is merely indicative of the loss of Faith that permeates the conciliar structures.

The administrators of the University of Notre Dame, who have long poisoned the well of the Catholic Faith at my Master's alma mater (see Honors Aplenty for Devils Galore), have positioned themselves as enablers of Barack Hussein Obama's policies, thereby having to reckon along with him with these words of Pope Pius XI, contained in Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930:

Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven. (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)

As I noted in Honors Aplenty for Devils Galore:

The graduates of the various colleges and schools of the University of Notre Dame have nothing to learn from a man who supports and who orders the execution of innocent babies under cover of the civil law.

The Mother of God would never honor a man who dishonors her Divine Son, Who was conceived as a helpless embryo in her own Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, by supporting and making possible abortion under cover of the civil law in any circumstances. Administrators of a university named in her blessed honor will not be able to count on her maternal intercession at the hour of their own deaths unless they repent publicly of the scandal they are causing by honoring and giving a platform to a man who has the blood of the innocent on his hands.

Moreover, the loss of the sense of sin in the conciliar structures extends to the inability of so many Catholics to oppose the absurdity of legislation designed to permit "marriages" between persons of the same gender who are engaged in unrepentant acts of perversity against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments, which is why I prepared the following statement for a Catholic to deliver in front of a state legislative committee considering the passage of such morally odious legislation (remember, it's not "states' rights, you libertarians out there who support the idiocy of "popular sovereignty" on such matters; it is God's law that matters and nothing else):

Mr. Chairman,

As a Catholic, I have a grave obligation before God to bear witness to the truth. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ proclaimed Himself to be the Way, the Truth, and the lIfe. If this statement is true, as we know it is as God cannot lie, then nothing else is true.

Pontius Pilate, however, seeking to appease the crowd and to curry favor with his superiors in the Roman Empire so as to advance his career in the Roman bureaucracy, said to Our Lord, "Truth? What is that?" Legislators seeking to pass legislation making "marriage" between persons of the same gender who are engaged in unnatural and perverse acts contrary to the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law are repeating history by saying with Pontius Pilate, "Truth? What is that?"

Moral truth is not a matter of sentiment or emotion. Moral truth is immutable as the truths of the physical world that govern our bodies. The laws of gravity or the law of aging do not depend upon our acceptance of them to be true. We can dye our hair or have plastic surgery to change our appearance without taking a single day off of our lives or without retarding the aging process that will lead one day most inevitably to our deaths. Moral truth, which even the ancient pagans of ancient Athens and Rome were able to apprehend by the light of natural reason without having belief in or access to Divine Revelation, is as certain and as immutable as physical truth. The proper use of the generative faculties by a man and a woman in the context of marriage for the procreation and education of children is a truth of the Natural Law, which binds all human consciences in all places at all times without any exception whatsoever, and any other use of the generative faculties is a violation of nature itself.

We have not been left on our own, however, to discern the Natural Law. Human reason is stained by our fallen human nature. Each of us suffers from the vestigial after effects of Original Sin. We have darkened intellects that incline us to reject the known truth and we have weakened wills that incline us to sin even when we come to know and to accept the truth. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ established His Catholic Church to be the sole and authoritative teacher all that is contained in the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law. The Catholic Church alone is the infallible teacher and eternal guardian of the precepts contained in the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law, precepts that forbid the use of the generative faculties except by a man and a woman in a valid marriage for the procreation and education of children so as to propagate the species on Heaven and to raise canonizable saints who can take their place in Heaven after death.

Perverse acts contrary to the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law can never be sanctioned by the authority of the civil state under cover of law. The sin of Sodom is one of the four sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed as a result of this sin of Sodom. No one who claims to be a disciple of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ can claim to be His friend while promoting under cover of law the very thing--sin--that caused Him to suffer during His Passion and Death and that wounds His Mystical Body, the Church, today. Although each of us is a sinner, it is one thing to sin and to be sorry, seeking out the Mercy of the Divine Redeemer in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. It is quite another to sin unrepentantly, worse yet to promote sin under cover of law and to promote it in every aspect of popular culture. Saint Augustine, quoted by Pope Gregory XVI in Mirari Vos, issued on August 15, 1832, said that the "death of the soul is worse than the freedom of error."

No one has the civil "right" to sin. No institution of human governance has any "right" to endorse sinful behavior under cover of law. Pope Leo XIII, writing in Immortale Dei, issued on November 1, 1885, reminded Catholics that it is never permissible to separate one's "private" beliefs from his public duties to defend the truths of the Faith at all times, yes, even in matters of public policy:

"Hence, lest concord be broken by rash charges, let this be understood by all, that the integrity of Catholic faith cannot be reconciled with opinions verging on naturalism or rationalism, the essence of which is utterly to do away with Christian institutions and to install in society the supremacy of man to the exclusion of God. Further, it is unlawful to follow one line of conduct in private life and another in public, respecting privately the authority of the Church, but publicly rejecting it; for this would amount to joining together good and evil, and to putting man in conflict with himself; whereas he ought always to be consistent, and never in the least point nor in any condition of life to swerve from Christian virtue."

Catholic legislators, in particular, have a grave obligation before God to defend the Faith at all times.

Some might protest that to do so is a violation of the separation of Church and State. There is never, however, a separation of moral truth from public policy for the very foundation of the crimes committed by the Third Reich and by the Soviet Union and by any number of other totalitarian regimes was the assertion that civil law has no higher foundation that what is declared to be legal by the brute power of the civil state or, in our case, by the "will of the people." It cannot be, though, that human beings, who did not create themselves and whose bodies are destined one day for the corruption of the grave until the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead, are the arbiters of moral right and moral wrong. God is a majority of wrong, and the very concept of separation of Church and State was termed a "thesis absolutely false" by Pope Saint Pius in Vehementer Nos, issued on February 11, 1906.

Pope Pius XI, writing in Casti Connubii, issued on December 31, 1930, explained that legislation promoting "unions" between unmarried persons is immoral and must be opposed by each and every Catholics. The same applies to the perversion of the marriage by using the term to describe illicit relationships between persons who are engaged in perverse actions contrary to nature and proscribed by the binding precepts of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments:

"How grievously all these err and how shamelessly they leave the ways of honesty is already evident from what we have set forth here regarding the origin and nature of wedlock, its purposes and the good inherent in it. The evil of this teaching is plainly seen from the consequences which its advocates deduce from it, namely, that the laws, institutions and customs by which wedlock is governed, since they take their origin solely from the will of man, are subject entirely to him, hence can and must be founded, changed and abrogated according to human caprice and the shifting circumstances of human affairs; that the generative power which is grounded in nature itself is more sacred and has wider range than matrimony -- hence it may be exercised both outside as well as within the confines of wedlock, and though the purpose of matrimony be set aside, as though to suggest that the license of a base fornicating woman should enjoy the same rights as the chaste motherhood of a lawfully wedded wife.

"Armed with these principles, some men go so far as to concoct new species of unions, suited, as they say, to the present temper of men and the times, which various new forms of matrimony they presume to label "temporary," "experimental," and "companionate." These offer all the indulgence of matrimony and its rights without, however, the indissoluble bond, and without offspring, unless later the parties alter their cohabitation into a matrimony in the full sense of the law.

"Indeed there are some who desire and insist that these practices be legitimatized by the law or, at least, excused by their general acceptance among the people. They do not seem even to suspect that these proposals partake of nothing of the modern "culture" in which they glory so much, but are simply hateful abominations which beyond all question reduce our truly cultured nations to the barbarous standards of savage peoples." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 31, 1930.)

Pope Leo XIII, writing in Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, issued on November 1, 1900, explained the bitter consequences within nations when those in public life fail to follow the immutable teaching that she has received from her Divine Founder and Invisible Head--Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, a teaching she merely announces to me and has no authority at all to "change" to "adapt" to the times or the "will" of the people:

"This generative and conservative power of the virtues that make for salvation is therefore lost, whenever morality is dissociated from divine faith. A system of morality based exclusively on human reason robs man of his highest dignity and lowers him from the supernatural to the merely natural life. Not but that man is able by the right use of reason to know and to obey certain principles of the natural law. But though he should know them all and keep them inviolate through life-and even this is impossible without the aid of the grace of our Redeemer-still it is vain for anyone without faith to promise himself eternal salvation. "If anyone abide not in Me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up and cast him into the fire, and he burneth" john xv., 6). "He that believeth not shall be condemned" (Mark xvi., 16). We have but too much evidence of the value and result of a morality divorced from divine faith. How is it that, in spite of all the zeal for the welfare of the masses, nations are in such straits and even distress, and that the evil is daily on the increase? We are told that society is quite able to help itself; that it can flourish without the assistance of Christianity, and attain its end by its own unaided efforts. Public administrators prefer a purely secular system of government. All traces of the religion of our forefathers are daily disappearing from political life and administration. What blindness! Once the idea of the authority of God as the Judge of right and wrong is forgotten, law must necessarily lose its primary authority and justice must perish: and these are the two most powerful and most necessary bonds of society. Similarly, once the hope and expectation of eternal happiness is taken away, temporal goods will be greedily sought after. Every man will strive to secure the largest share for himself. Hence arise envy, jealousy, hatred. The consequences are conspiracy, anarchy, nihilism. There is neither peace abroad nor security at home. Public life is stained with crime. (Pope Leo XIII, Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, November 1, 1900.)

It was on this date ninety-two years ago, that is, on May 13, 1917, that the Mother of God appeared to three illiterate shepherd children in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, telling them to make reparation for their sins and those of the whole world by many as many Rosaries each day as possible. She showed them a vision of Hell on July 13, 1917, saying that it was to save poor sinners from Hell that her Divine Son wanted to establish devotion to her Immaculate Heart, which was pierced with a Sword of Sorrow as she stood by the foot of the Cross as she saw what our sins--your sins, my sins and the sins of everyone who has ever lived--did to her Divine Son as He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood to redeem us on the wood of that same Holy Cross.

Do any of you who are Catholics really want to grieve the Immaculate Heart of Mary by promoting the very thing that caused her to suffer at the foot of the Cross and that prompted her to ask Lucia dos Santos and Jacinta and Francisco Marto to sacrifice for sinners?

Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

It should not be necessary for any Catholic to have to speak in such terms to a state legislative committee composed largely of Catholics. That it is necessary to do so today is the result of forty years of apostasy and betrayal, much of which has antecedent roots in the condemned heresy of Americanism, which accepts "religious liberty" and the "separation of Church and State" and religious indifferentism as fundamental building blocks of the "well-ordered" society, that has robbed so many, although, as noted earlier, not all, Catholics yet attached to the counterfeit church of conciliarism of any sense of the rights of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to reign as the King of all men and all nations and that no one, whether acting individually or collectively with others in the institutions of civil governance, has any right to do anything contrary to the Divine Positive Law and Natural Law and that puts the eternal welfare of the souls for whom He, Christ the King, died on the wood of the Holy Cross in jeopardy.

Indeed, most Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism would be aghast at these words of Pope Saint Pius X, contained in the aforementioned Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906, that the civil state has an obligation to aid man in the pursuit of his Last End, the possession of the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity:

That the State must be separated from the Church is a thesis absolutely false, a most pernicious error. Based, as it is, on the principle that the State must not recognize any religious cult, it is in the first place guilty of a great injustice to God; for the Creator of man is also the Founder of human societies, and preserves their existence as He preserves our own. We owe Him, therefore, not only a private cult, but a public and social worship to honor Him. Besides, this thesis is an obvious negation of the supernatural order. It limits the action of the State to the pursuit of public prosperity during this life only, which is but the proximate object of political societies; and it occupies itself in no fashion (on the plea that this is foreign to it) with their ultimate object which is man's eternal happiness after this short life shall have run its course. But as the present order of things is temporary and subordinated to the conquest of man's supreme and absolute welfare, it follows that the civil power must not only place no obstacle in the way of this conquest, but must aid us in effecting it.

As Pope Pius XI noted in Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922, those who dissent from this reiteration of the Catholic Church's immutable teaching are social, legal, and political modernists, a description that applies to Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who rejects the Social Reign of Christ the King in favor of the "religiously neutral" state where "religions" have a role to play in combating the "dictatorship of relativism" even as the place he accords to false religions to "build" the "better world" is itself an exercise of theological relativism:

Many believe in or claim that they believe in and hold fast to Catholic doctrine on such questions as social authority, the right of owning private property, on the relations between capital and labor, on the rights of the laboring man, on the relations between Church and State, religion and country, on the relations between the different social classes, on international relations, on the rights of the Holy See and the prerogatives of the Roman Pontiff and the Episcopate, on the social rights of Jesus Christ, Who is the Creator, Redeemer, and Lord not only of individuals but of nations. In spite of these protestations, they speak, write, and, what is more, act as if it were not necessary any longer to follow, or that they did not remain still in full force, the teachings and solemn pronouncements which may be found in so many documents of the Holy See, and particularly in those written by Leo XIII, Pius X, and Benedict XV.

There is a species of moral, legal, and social modernism which We condemn, no less decidedly than We condemn theological modernism.

It is necessary ever to keep in mind these teachings and pronouncements which We have made; it is no less necessary to reawaken that spirit of faith, of supernatural love, and of Christian discipline which alone can bring to these principles correct understanding, and can lead to their observance. This is particularly important in the case of youth, and especially those who aspire to the priesthood, so that in the almost universal confusion in which we live they at least, as the Apostle writes, will not be "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive." (Ephesians iv, 14) (Pope Pius XI, Ubi Arcano Dei Consilio, December 23, 1922.)

Most Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have never heard of these words. They believe in the falsehoods of "religious liberty" and "separation of Church and State" and the religiously indifferentist civil state as these falsehoods have been propagated by naturalists of the false opposites of the "left" and the "right" in the political realm and by the conciliarists in the ecclesiastical realm, thus predisposing many of them to think or to emote in a variety of contradictory ways, sometimes opposing objective evils and sometimes supporting such evils depending upon the flurry of "news" at any given time.

Most of these Catholics simply do not think in terms that Original Sin is the remote cause of all social problems and that Actual Sins are the proximate causes of the problems we face in our nations and in the world. They do not understand that it is the horror of personal sins that is responsible for violence within nations war between them. They do not understand or accept the simple truth that the only way to lessen the problems of the world is for individual human beings to cooperate more fully with Sanctifying Grace and to seek thereby to root out even their Venial Sins from their sins as they seek to make reparation for their sins to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. They do not understand that there is no political, constitutional, legal, philosophical, ideological, naturalistic, secularist, inter-denominational or nondenominational way to retard a single social evil. They do not understand or accept the fact that every person and every nation in the world must be confessionally Catholic.

Why don't they understand these things? Because they have not been taught them, admitting that there are a few conciliar priests and presbyters who have taught these truths, recognizing as well that the patent ignorance among most Catholics about these truths demonstrates empirically that most conciliar priests and presbyters ape the conciliar "popes," who do not speak of such truths with clarity, certainly never speaking of Catholicism alone as the sole foundation of personal and social order.

Indeed, how is it possible for poorly-catechized Catholics in the conciliar structures to have an understanding of the true teaching of the Catholic Church have possess a horror for personal when their "pontiff" deconstructs the nature of dogmatic truth, thus making warfare upon the very nature of God Himself, and when has disparaged the binding nature of the Third Commandment, saying, as Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger, on October 1, 2005, that "I have nothing against people who, though they never enter a church during the year, go to Christmas midnight Mass, or go on the occasion of some other celebration, because this is also a way of coming close to the light" (EWTN.com - CARDINAL RATZINGER ON THE FUTURE OF CHRISTIANITY, October 1, 2001). A man who has no regard for the First Commandment is going to have no regard for the Third. How is it possible for the average Catholic to have any sense of the horror of personal sins when the man who is now the conciliar "pontiff" has minimized the horror of the Mortal Sin of deliberately missing Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation (leaving aside that the Novus Ordo is not a valid offering of Holy Mass; Ratzinger believes it to be--and it does not matter to him that people only to what he believes in Mass occasionally).

Yes, some might point with satisfaction to a new Gallup Poll that indicates more Americans are “pro-life” than “pro-choice” for the first time. This poll provides little reason for satisfaction as only twenty-two percent of Americans hold the correct position, that the direct, intentional taking of innocent human life is forbidden in all circumstances with no "exceptions" whatsoever. Even more sad is the fact that, "exceptions" included, only fifty-two percent of Catholics consider themselves to be "pro-life," an increase of seven percent from a similar poll a year. Despite this supposedly "encouraging" statistics, however, the Gallup Poll indicates that Caesar Obamus enjoys high approval ratings among Muslims, Jews, and Catholics, with the latter group approving of the pro-abortion statist by a margin of sixty-seven percent to twenty-two percent. Things are getting "better?" Guess again, especially when another Gallup Poll shows that Catholics hold erroneous views on abortion and embryonic stem cell research as other Americans. As I have been trying to hammer home for the eight people who read this site regularly, apostasy does have consequences.

When all is said and done, therefore, it indeed a very simple truth that the loss of the horror of personal sin wrought by the ethos of conciliarism and enshrined in Paragraph Fifteen of the General Instruction the Roman Missal that governs the abominable offerings of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service is what makes it more possible for a man such as Barack Hussein Obama can be elected President of the United States of America with the support of a majority of Catholic voters and can be honored by a formerly Catholic university now in conciliar captivity.

Most Catholics simply do not think, speak or act as Catholics and see no conflict at all between honors bestowed on men who promote abject evils under cover of the civil law as they have been taught the horror of personal sins or that they must reparation for each and every single of their sins while they are alive here in this passing, mortal vale of tears in order to lessen--or to avoid, please the Mercy of God and the prayers of His Most Blessed Mother, altogether--the fires of Purgatory if they persevere to the points of their dying breaths in states of Sanctifying Grace.

Taking away nothing from the outrage that is being perpetrated by my Master's alma mater, it is nevertheless sadly the case that many, although not all, of the Catholics who are understandably and quite correctly outraged by the honor that will be bestowed tomorrow by the University of Notre Dame upon Barack Hussein Obama is less offensive in the sight of God than the honors that the false "pontiff," Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who could have instructed his "papal" nuncio to the United States of America, "Archbishop" Pietro Sambi, to tell the President of the University of Notre Dame, Presbyter John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., to disinvite Obama entirely, has bestowed upon false religions, each of which is hated by God, during his now concluded visit to Jordan and Israel.

The fact that sixty-eight conciliar "bishops" have "protested" the honor being awarded upon Barack Hussein Obama tomorrow, Sunday, May 17, 2009, a figure that represents somewhere between a fifth and a quarter of the conciliar "bishops in the United States of America, has been used by some defenders of conciliarism to point to the "health" of the false church in this country. Health? Are these people serious? Are they sane? Are they rational? If only a fifth to a quarter of the country's conciliar "bishops" have protested the award being given to Barack Hussein tomorrow by the University of Notre Dame this means that three-quarters to four-fifths of the conciliar "bishops" in this country either support the honorary doctorate that will be given to Obama or are indifferent about the fact. How can any man who considers himself, albeit falsely, to be a Successor of the Apostles remain quiet when a supposedly Catholic university is going to bestow an honorary doctorate upon a civic official who has issued Executive Orders resulting in the mystical dismemberment and execution of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of preborn children in their mothers' wombs?

Then again, of course, the man who believes himself to be, albeit falsely, the Vicar of Christ on earth has remained quiet for five weeks about "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch's denial of the dogmatic truth that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died on the wood of the Holy Cross in atonement for our sins. Those conciliar "bishops" who have refused to protest the pro-abort statist Obama's appearance and award at the University of Notre Dame tomorrow can certainly point to the example of Ratzinger/Benedict as justification for their own silence.

Moreover, one hundred percent of the conciliar "bishops" in the United States of America have said not a word of protest about Joseph Ratzinger Benedict XVI's treating mosques and synagogues as "holy" places of "worship" and esteeming the symbols and "values" of false religions. One hundred percent of the conciliar "hierarchy" in the United States of America thus stand condemned by these words of Pope Saint Leo the Great, which are worth repeating once again:

But it is vain for them to adopt the name of catholic, as they do not oppose these blasphemies: they must believe them, if they can listen so patiently to such words. (Pope Saint Leo the Great, Epistle XIV, To Anastasius, Bishop of Thessalonica, St. Leo the Great | Letters 1-59 )

Led by the conciliar "pontiffs" and the conciliar "bishops," many, although not all, "conservative" and traditionally-minded Catholics in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have lost their sense of sins against the First Commandment to such an extent that they do not realize that their own blithe acceptance of--or silence about--these offenses committed against  the honor and majesty and glory of God by Ratzinger/Benedict helps to communicate to Catholics and non-Catholics alike that God is pleased with each "religion" on the face of the earth and that these "religions" can "contribute" to the "better world," which was one of Ratzinger/Benedict's consistent themes during his now concluded visit to Jordan and Israel.

Such a belief about false religions held by Catholics is precisely what makes the election--and glowing admiration--of men like Barack Hussein Obama more possible and what produces so much hostility in the hearts of minds of so many Catholics  who are as yet attached to the conciliar structures when anyone attempts to teach them that the Catholic Faith alone is the true religion and that the civil state must recognize It as such, lest these words of Pope Leo XIII, contained in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885, become a reality as practical atheism becomes the lowest common denominator for public policy and popular culture in a nation:

To hold, therefore, that there is no difference in matters of religion between forms that are unlike each other, and even contrary to each other, most clearly leads in the end to the rejection of all religion in both theory and practice. And this is the same thing as atheism, however it may differ from it in name. Men who really believe in the existence of God must, in order to be consistent with themselves and to avoid absurd conclusions, understand that differing modes of divine worship involving dissimilarity and conflict even on most important points cannot all be equally probable, equally good, and equally acceptable to God.

A failure to come to the defense of the honor and majesty and glory of God when He is offended by a putative "pontiff" for all the world to see is one of the major contributing factors to the presence of figures of Antichrist such as Caesar Obamus in the civil realm. It is pretty easy to lose the sense of the horror of personal sin in one's own life and in the cultural and legal and political life of one's nation when one loses the sense of the horror of sins committed against the First Commandment by those who claim, albeit falsely, to hold ecclesiastical office in the Catholic Church. It is really incongruous to be so upset at the honor about to be bestowed upon Barack Hussein Obama by the University of Notre Dame if one is deaf, dumb and blind to the horror of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's sins, objectively speaking, against the First Commandment and when one is equally deaf, dumb and blind to the fact that he, as well as his predecessor, Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, has bestowed "papal" knighthoods and "medals" upon pro-abortion, pro-perversity Talmudic rabbis (see Honors Aplenty for Devils Galore).

What I noted in  Honors Aplenty for Devils Galore thirty-three days ago is worth repeating once again:

The likes of Barack Hussein Obama will continue to be honored by formerly Catholic universities and colleges now in conciliar captivity as long as pretenders to the papal throne hold most Catholics worldwide captive to a false church that offends God daily by means of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, by denials of the natured of dogmatic truth, by the esteeming of the symbols and the "values" of those false religions, by engaging in the forbidden practice of "inter-religious" prayer, by promoting religious liberty and separation of Church and State, by attempting to "re-image" Sacred Scripture and the writings of the Fathers of the Church by "stripping away" the "filter" provided by Scholasticism in favor of the condemned propositions of the New Theology, by making the false "Second" Vatican Council, understood in light of a "tradition" that has been corrupted and distorted and perverted by that New Theology, the very foundation of a false religion that has harmed so many souls and contributed mightily to the deterioration of order within nations and peace among them.

All of the "protests" and the "petition" drives in the world won't stop Barack Hussein Obama from speaking at the University of Notre Dame du Lac on May 17, 2009. All of the "protests" and "petition" drives in the world won't "convince" "Rome" to stop Obama from speaking as "Rome" is at the root of the problem we face today. Our Rosaries, however, can convert the most hardened sinners, including those in public life and those in the leadership positions of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. After all, hasn't the Rosary helped to convert us, who are frequently among the most hardened sinners on the face of this earth

Although the Church Militant on earth has undergone her Mystical Passion, Death and Burial in recent decades, she will, like her Divine Founder out of Whose Wounded Side she was born, know her Resurrection. We must simply and faithfully continue to cleave exclusively to true bishops and to true priests in the Catholic catacombs who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its apostate "officials," men who are most casual in their acceptance of outrages that have become commonplace in their false church that gives so much offense to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to His Most Blessed Mother.

We must also recognize that our sins have contributed mightily to the worsening of the state of the Church Militant and to the state of the world. We have much for which to make reparation, especially those of us who were slow to embrace the truth that those who defect from the Faith expel themselves from the Church and cannot hold office within her legitimately. Our Rosaries of reparation today may help to plant the seeds for the restoration of the Church Militant at some point in the future.

The Glorious Mysteries of the Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary we pray during these next forty-nine days of Easter rejoicing presage a glorious future for Holy Mother Church once the conciliarists are vanquished.  We may not be alive when the Resurrection of the Church Militant occurs. We should and must be content to plant a few seeds for this Resurrection of the Church Militant as the consecrated slaves of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary with joy and with love.

Let us join in praying with the Rosary tomorrow with those will be around the perimeter of the University of Notre Dame to make reparation for the honor to be bestowed upon a man who has the blood of the innocent upon his hands. Let us pray for the conversion of Presbyter John I. Jenkins and of Barack Hussein Obama and his family.

Most importantly, however, we need to pray to Our Lady that those Catholics who are justifiably outraged about the award being given to Barack Hussein Obama will come to the defense of the honor and majesty and glory of God and recognize in Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, for whose conversion we must pray as well, an enemy of God as He has revealed Himself through His true Church so that they can take to heart these words of Saint Servatus (who, of course, is one of those saints deemed "legendary" by the conciliar revolutionaries):

Servatus held the bishopric of Tongres (Belgium) at a time when the whole of Christendom had Arian tendencies. The all-powerful emperor, Constantius, was a heretic and supported the heresy; many bishops no longer believed in the divinity of Our Lord; St. Athanasius and St. Hilary, great champions of orthodoxy, were in exile.

The story of the Jewish origins of St. Servatus and his kinship with St. Anne appears legendary. It is not known when he became bishop of Tongres, but by 336, when St. Athanasius spent his exile at Trier, he had already occupied the see. The declaration which he made before the Council of Cologne in 346 informs us both of his meeting with the celebrated Alexandrian doctor and of his own orthodoxy. This is what he says in reference to the bishop of Cologne, deposed on that occasion: "It is not from hearsay that I know what he has been teaching, but from having myself heard it. Our churches are adjacent; many times I have had occasion to contradict him, when he has denied the divinity of Jesus Christ. It has happened in the presence of Athanasius, bishop of Alexandria. .. . I judge that he can no longer be bishop of Christians; and those do not deserve to be considered Christians who remain in communion with him."

After failing in his efforts to reconcile the usurper, Magnetius, with the Emperor Constantius, Servatus made a pilgrimage to Rome. He returned convinced that Tongres would soon fall to the Huns. Hastily he carried the relics of the church to Maestricht, and there, shortly afterwards, he died. The towns of Tongres remained thereafter for nearly a century without a bishop.
