Emboldening the Ancient Enemies of Our Lord

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Although "Archbishop" Raymond Leo Burke, the conciliar "archbishop" of Saint Louis, Missouri, has issued a very strong condemnation of the attempted "ordination" of two women to the conciliar "priesthood" that took place two days ago, on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at the Central Reform Synagogue in Saint Louis, Missouri, placing an interdict upon the two non-"priestesses," his statement was was qualified by his desire to make it appear that the action of the officials who made the Central Reform Synagogue available for this abomination did not reflect badly on all Talmudic Jews and that it should damage the "progress" that had been made in "Jewish-Catholic dialogue" in the past forty years. Unfortunately for "Archbishop" Burke, however, the action of the officials of the Central Reform Synagogue does indeed represent the "progress" that results from the false ecumenism of conciliarism, a false ecumenism that emboldens the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to slap and to crucify Him mystically, knowing full well that they will have a ready cadre of Catholics in the counterfeit structures of conciliarsm who will side with them, the Talmudic Jews, as they do so.

It is necessary to review some basic facts of Catholic teaching before examining how these facts have been undermined by the whole ethos of conciliarism despite the reaffirmations against the "ordination" of women made by the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

While it is true that the false "popes" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have "held the line" against the ordination of women to the priesthood, these false "popes" have also undermined that consistent teaching of the Catholic Church by seeking to let women do everything but "celebrate" the abominable non-Mass that is the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service. In the name of "inclusion" and "full, active and conscious participation." Women can enter the sanctuary during what purports to be Holy Mass to fulfill functions that are the prerogative of ordained priests and deacons and subdeacons and acolytes and those other males permitted to assist them during the Mass. Only men, starting with the priest himself, who acts in persona Christi as the alter Christus, are permitted to enter the sanctuary of a Catholic Church during the offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Those who assist at the altar must be males as they act as the extension of the hands of the Chief Priest and Victim of every Mass, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who was made Incarnate in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost as a male.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the New Adam, stretched out His Holy Hands on the wood of the Holy Cross to win back for us what was lost for us when the first Adam, whom God had created out of the dust of the earth, stretched forth his hands to the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and partook of the forbidden fruit. There were different roles assigned to men, the progenitors, and women, the receptors, in the Order of Creation. There are different roles assigned to them in the Order of Redemption. If anyone was worthy to say 'Hoc est enim Corpus Meam. . . . Hic est Sanguinis Mei. . . ." it was Our Lady, who had been preserved from all stain of Original and Actual Sin. From whom else did Our Lord derive the very Body and Blood that He would offer up for us on the wood of the Holy Cross? However, she was not present at the Last Supper. Our Lord chose twelve males to represent the twelve tribes of Israel, thereby replacing the Levitical priesthood of heredity with priesthood of the New Covenant that He instituted at the Last Supper on Holy Thursday and ratified by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday.

There are those who might protest that Our Lord was "culture bound" and did not "know" what He was doing when He chose twelve males and bestowed upon them the fullness of the priesthood, that is the power of the episcopate. This is blasphemous. Our Lord knows all things. He broke many of the Pharisaical norms (plucking grain and healing in the Sabbath, associating and even dining with known public sinners, including women in his company as His disciples). He knew full well what He was doing when He broke various Pharisaical norms. He knew full well what He was doing when He ordained twelve males to the fullness of the priesthood at the Last Supper.

Despite the reaffirmation of the nonadmissability of women to the priesthood that was made by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, the simple fact of the matter is that many, although not all, of those who promote the ontological absurdity of women's "ordination" to the conciliar priesthood are permitted to remain in "good standing" in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. "Bishop" Emil Wcela, a now retired auxiliary "bishop" in the theological and liturgical cesspool known as the Diocese of Rockville Centre, was permitted to be "consecrated" to the conciliar "episcopate on December 12, 1988, even though he was fully on record in support of women's ordination to the conciliar priesthood. There are many other examples of this. Indeed, the disgraced former "bishop" of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, Daniel Leo Ryan, permitted an article in support of women's ordination to appear his rag of a diocesan newspaper in 1996, prompting him to lash out at The Wanderer for running an article daring to criticize him for doing so. And even though "Archbishop" Raymond Leo Burke of Saint Louis, Missouri, has condemned in very forceful terms the "ordination" of the two women that was attempted two days ago, gee, there are, of course, more than a handful of conciliar "bishops" who have kept their silence about the matter.

Facts must be faced squarely: conciliarism's openness to "change" and to "novelty" and "innovation" has convinced the average Catholic that almost everything about the Faith is subject to change and reinterpretation. Oh, defenders of the conciliarist ethos can talk all they want about "misinterpretations" and "misapplications" of the conciliar documents and decrees. This is so much rationalization of absurdity and sacrilege. The plain truth of the matter is, of course, that the ethos of novelty and innovation and change leads of its very perverted nature to logical conclusions that may not have been "intended" by their progenitors but are the inexorable result of false presuppositions.

As I have noted on this site in endless commentaries, the heretic Martin Luther did not "see" where his heresy of "justification by faith alone" would lead, that is, to antinomianism (the belief that one can do or say or believe almost anything and still go to Heaven). His heresy, however, was bound to lead to antinomianism despite his being unable or unwilling to see that this was the case. Similarly, the "founding fathers" of the United States of America did not "see" that their belief that men could organize themselves collectively without a due submission to the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted exclusively to the Catholic Church and their belief that men could be pursue "civic virtue" without belief in, access to or cooperation with Sanctifying Grace would lead inexorably to the social conditions in which we find ourselves today. The inability of the "founders" to "see" this does not redeemed their own false presuppositions. The same is very much true with conciliarism.

Conciliarism has opened up a veritable Pandora's Box of relentless change and innovation that has robbed millions upon millions of Catholics of their sensus Catholicus and bewildered and confused those who do have something left of that sensus Catholicus. Protestations against the nonadmissability of women to the priesthood ring rather hollow when one considers the fact that women can touch what is purported to be the Sacred Species with their own hands as they distribute Holy Communion to the faithful in their roles as "extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist." Women can proclaim the Word of God as lectors. They can lead "priestless" "Communion services." They can serve as administrators of parishes, having the responsibility, given to them by their "ordinaries," to supervise the work of "priests," thereby further emasculating the notion of the priesthood as an imaging of the Chief Priest and Victim of every Mass. There are women serving as chancellors of the Catholic dioceses that are now in the hands of the conciliar revolutionaries. There has even been some talk from officials in the conciliar Vatican of permitting deaconesses. With little else in the counterfeit church of conciliarism that has not bee subject to change and reconsideration and reinterpretation, why should the average Catholic think that Our Lord's own choice exclusively of males to His Holy Priesthood is not going to "change" at some point in the future.

I asked Dr. John Page, the Executive Director of the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (I.C.E.L.) from 1980 to 2002, in 1993 when interviewing him in his offices in Washington, District of Columbia, for The Wanderer if any of the scores of "experts" listed as ICEL's advisors supported ordination of women to the priesthood. He gave a vague answer, saying only that it was his job and that of ICEL to "push the liturgy into the Twenty-first Century." That answer was not a denial of the presence of perhaps even large number of ICEL "advisors" who supported women's ordination to the priesthood, something that many theologians in the conciliar structures is only a "matter of time." Even the "line" is held by the antipopes of conciliarism, however, the expectations created by egalitarianism and feminism encouraged by the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service make events such as the one that took place in Saint Louis, Missouri, on November 11, 2007, as  things to be hailed in the minds of many thoroughly revolutionized Catholics who are in the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

Conciliarism has thus resulted in creating expectations that lead people into believing that ontological absurdities are possible even though its own officialdom does not see how this has occurred. Moreover, the exigencies of false ecumenism have been such that those in false religions believe that they have a mission from God Himself to "push" what they believe to be the "Catholic" Church further and further in the direction of the "enlightenment" represented by the most revolutionary strains of modern though, strains that reject the subordination of women even to Our Lord Himself (which is what the chapel veil signifies) and emphasizes the strict equality of all men at all times in all circumstances in order to appease the insatiable pride of those who do not accept the simple fact that each of us, whether a man or a woman, must conform our lives at all times to the Mind of God Himself as He has discharged It exclusively in the Catholic Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. Such a due submission of men and women to the authority of the Catholic Church is opposed to the spirit of the "enlightenment," which rejects the Social and Personal Kingship of Jesus Christ over nations and over individual human beings, a spirit which exults in the unabashed "freedoms of speech, of press, and of religion" that permit error to be spread and souls to be confused by all manner of insidious poisons.

Writing in his Apostolical Letter, Testem Benevolentiae Nostrae, January 22, 1899, to James Cardinal Gibbons, the longtime Americanist Archbishop of Baltimore, Maryland, Pope Leo XIII noted that the spirit of the condemned heresy of Americanism considers it a sign of weakness to submit oneself to the authority of the Catholic Church:

Coming now to speak of the conclusions which have been deduced from the above opinions, and for them, we readily believe there was no thought of wrong or guile, yet the things themselves certainly merit some degree of suspicion. First, all external guidance is set aside for those souls who are striving after Christian perfection as being superfluous or indeed, not useful in any sense -the contention being that the Holy Spirit pours richer and more abundant graces than formerly upon the souls of the faithful, so that without human intervention He teaches and guides them by some hidden instinct of His own. Yet it is the sign of no small over-confidence to desire to measure and determine the mode of the Divine communication to mankind, since it wholly depends upon His own good pleasure, and He is a most generous dispenser 'of his own gifts. "The Spirit breatheth whereso He listeth." -- John iii, 8.

"And to each one of us grace is given according to the measure of the giving of Christ." -- Eph. iv, 7.

And shall any one who recalls the history of the apostles, the faith of the nascent church, the trials and deaths of the martyrs- and, above all, those olden times, so fruitful in saints-dare to measure our age with these, or affirm that they received less of the divine outpouring from the Spirit of Holiness? Not to dwell upon this point, there is no one who calls in question the truth that the Holy Spirit does work by a secret descent into the souls of the just and that He stirs them alike by warnings and impulses, since unless this were the case all outward defense and authority would be unavailing. "For if any persuades himself that he can give assent to saving, that is, to gospel truth when proclaimed, without any illumination of the Holy Spirit, who give's unto all sweetness both to assent and to hold, such an one is deceived by a heretical spirit."-From the Second Council of Orange, Canon 7.

Moreover, as experience shows, these monitions and impulses of the Holy Spirit are for the most part felt through the medium of the aid and light of an external teaching authority. To quote St. Augustine. "He (the Holy Spirit) co-operates to the fruit gathered from the good trees, since He externally waters and cultivates them by the outward ministry of men, and yet of Himself bestows the inward increase."-De Gratia Christi, Chapter xix. This, indeed, belongs to the ordinary law of God's loving providence that as He has decreed that men for the most part shall be saved by the ministry also of men, so has He wished that those whom He calls to the higher planes of holiness should be led thereto by men; hence St. Chrysostom declares we are taught of God through the instrumentality of men.-Homily I in Inscrib. Altar. Of this a striking example is given us in the very first days of the Church.

For though Saul, intent upon blood and slaughter, had heard the voice of our Lord Himself and had asked, "What dost Thou wish me to do?" yet he was bidden to enter Damascus and search for Ananias. Acts ix: "Enter the city and it shall be there told to thee what thou must do."

Nor can we leave out of consideration the truth that those who are striving after perfection, since by that fact they walk in no beaten or well-known path, are the most liable to stray, and hence have greater need than others of a teacher and guide. Such guidance has ever obtained in the Church; it has been the universal teaching of those who throughout the ages have been eminent for wisdom and sanctity-and hence to reject it would be to commit one's self to a belief at once rash and dangerous.

A thorough consideration of this point, in the supposition that no exterior guide is granted such souls, will make us see the difficulty of locating or determining the direction and application of that more abundant influx of the Holy Spirit so greatly extolled by innovators To practice virtue there is absolute need of the assistance of the Holy Spirit, yet we find those who are fond of novelty giving an unwarranted importance to the natural virtues, as though they better responded to the customs and necessities of the times and that having these as his outfit man becomes more ready to act and more strenous in action. It is not easy to understand how persons possessed of Christian wisdom can either prefer natural to supernatural virtues or attribute to them a greater efficacy and fruifulness. Can it be that nature conjoined with grace is weaker than when left to herself?

Can it be that those men illustrious for sanctity, whom the Church distinguishes and openly pays homage to, were deficient, came short in the order of nature and its endowments, because they excelled in Christian strength? And although it be allowed at times to wonder at acts worthy of admiration which are the outcome of natural virtue-is there anyone at all endowed simply with an outfit of natural virtue? Is there any one not tried by mental anxiety, and this in no light degree? Yet ever to master such, as also to preserve in its entirety the law of the natural order, requires an assistance from on high These single notable acts to which we have alluded will frequently upon a closer investigation be found to exhibit the appearance rather than the reality of virtue. Grant that it is virtue, unless we would "run in vain" and be unmindful of that eternal bliss which a good God in his mercy has destined for us, of what avail are natural virtues unless seconded by the gift of divine grace? Hence St. Augustine well says: "Wonderful is the strength, and swift the course, but outside the true path." For as the nature of man, owing to the primal fault, is inclined to evil and dishonor, yet by the help of grace is raised up, is borne along with a new greatness and strength, so, too, virtue, which is not the product of nature alone, but of grace also, is made fruitful unto everlasting life and takes on a more strong and abiding character.

This overesteem of natural virtue finds a method of expression in assuming to divide all virtues in active and passive, and it is alleged that whereas passive virtues found better place in past times, our age is to be characterized by the active. That such a division and distinction cannot be maintained is patent-for there is not, nor can there be, merely passive virtue. "Virtue," says St. Thomas Aquinas, "designates the perfection of some faculty, but end of such faculty is an act, and an act of virtue is naught else than the good use of free will," acting, that is to say, under the grace of God if the act be one of supernatural virtue.

He alone could wish that some Christian virtues be adapted to certain times and different ones for other times who is unmindful of the apostle's words: "That those whom He foreknew, He predestined to be made conformable to the image of His Son."- Romans viii, 29. Christ is the teacher and the exemplar of all sanctity, and to His standard must all those conform who wish for eternal life. Nor does Christ know any change as the ages pass, "for He is yesterday and to-day and the same forever."-Hebrews xiii, 8. To the men of all ages was the precept given: "Learn of Me, because I am meek and humble of heart."-Matt. xi, 29.

To every age has He been made manifest to us as obedient even unto death; in every age the apostle's dictum has its force: "Those who are Christ's have crucified their flesh with its vices and concupiscences." Would to God that more nowadays practiced these virtues in the degree of the saints of past times, who in humility, obedience and self-restraint were powerful "in word and in deed" -to the great advantage not only of religion, but of the state and the public welfare.

From this disregard of the - angelical virtues, erroneously styled passive, the step was a short one to a contempt of the religious life which has in some degree taken hold of minds. That such a value is generally held by the upholders of new views, we infer from certain statements concerning the vows which religious orders take. They say vows are alien to the spirit of our times, in that they limit the bounds of human liberty; that they are more suitable to weak than ›o strong minds; that so far from making for human perfection and the good of human organization, they are hurtful to both; but that this is as false as possible from the practice and the doctrine of the Church is clear, since she has always given the very highest approval to the religious method of life; nor without good cause, for those who under the divine call have freely embraced that state of life did not content themselves with the observance of precepts, but, going forward to the evangelical counsels, showed themselves ready and valiant soldiers of Christ. Shall we judge this to be a characteristic of weak minds, or shall we say that it is useless or hurtful to a more perfect state of life?

Those who so bind themselves by the vows of religion, far from having suffered a loss of liberty, enjoy that fuller and freer kind, that liberty, namely, by which Christ hath made us free. And this further view of theirs, namely, that the religious life is either entirely useless or of little service to the Church, besides being injurious to the religious orders cannot be the opinion of anyone who has read the annals of the Church. Did not your country, the United States, derive the beginnings both of faith and of culture from the children of these religious families? to one of whom but very lately, a thing greatly to your praise, you have decreed that a statue be publicly erected. And even at the present time wherever the religious families are found, how speedy and yet how fruitful a harvest of good works do they not bring forth! How very many leave home and seek strange lands to impart the truth of the gospel and to widen the bounds of civilization; and this they do with the greatest cheerfulness amid manifold dangers! Out of their number not less, indeed, than from the rest of the clergy, the Christian world finds the preachers of God's word, the directors of conscience, the teachers of youth and the Church itself the examples of all sanctity.

Yes, those who seek to "free" themselves from the sweet yoke of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through the Catholic Church wind up enslaved in various snares, starting with the that of their own prideful desires to remake the world and everything in it, including their conception of the "Catholic Church," in their own warped, disordered, self-centered, naturalist image. The true Faith becomes reduced to but mere sentimentality, leading to irrationality and absurdity as the norm of social discourse and popular culture, serving also as the basis of the legal positivism of most of civil law and public policy today

The ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, most of whom are descended from the Khazars and are adherents of Talmudic Judaism by means of the conversion of their ancestors and not as a result of being of the blood of Abraham and his descendants, revel in every opportunity given to them to make what they think is "Catholic" Church look bad in the realm of public opinion. The very people who would recoil at the thought of a Catholic urging them to take out blasphemous references to Our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother in their Talmud, denouncing such an effort as a veritable exercise in anti-Semitism, are front and center in sticking their thumb in the eye of Catholics when it suits them to do so, supporting all manner of blasphemous references to Our Lord and Our Lady in popular culture as legitimate "expressions" of "free speech."

(Before some of you point out that Francis "Cardinal" George, the conciliar 'archbishop" of Chicago, mentioned challenging Jews in such a way in a recent interview given to John Allen of the National Catholic Reporter by way of explaining the one-sidedness of the demand made by Talmudic leaders for the removal of the prayer for the conversion for the Jews in the 1962 version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition that is used in the conciliar structures as the "Motu Mass, it should also be noted that "Cardinal" George, who enabled the corrupt Daniel Leo Ryan and Fathers Kenneth Martin and Daniel McCormack, premised his remarks by conceding that anything "insulting" to the Jews should be removed from the Catholic liturgy, which is an indication that praying for the conversion of the Jews can be construed as "insulting." Yes "Cardinal" George talked about removing one "insult" for another. However, it is not an "insult" to pray for the conversion of the Jews. If it is, then Saint Peter and the other Apostles were guilty of committing one insult after another.)

Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II and Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI have emboldened the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by bestowing honors and awards upon various Talmudic rabbis, each and every single one of whom supports baby-killing under cover of law and who support the "rights" of those steeped in unrepentant acts of perversity against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments to be accorded the same privileges as a man and woman joined together in Holy Matrimony. Rabbis Leon Klenicki and Joseph Lichten have had "papal" knighthood bestowed upon them, the latter by Wojtyla and former by Ratzinger. Klenicki helped to develop "Reform Judaism" in Latin America. Among the chief goals of "Reform Judaism" is the promotion of "gender equality" and "reproductive health rights" for women.

Additionally, pro-abortion, pro-perversion Talmudic rabbi Dr. Walter Jacob, the Rabbi Emeritus of the Rodef Shalom Congregation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who is now active in helping to launch “Reform Judaism” in Germany, was "knighted" to the Papal Order of Saint Gregory by the then conciliar "bishop" of Pittsburgh, who has since succeeded Theodore "Allah" McCarrick as the conciliar "archbishop" of Washington, D.C., on June 18, 2005. Four other living adherents, including Lichten, of the Talmud which preaches great hatred against Our Lord and Our Lady, were "knighted" during the false pontificate of Karol Wojtyla. "Bishop" Tod Brown of the corrupt Diocese of Orange, California, conferred the Benemerenti Medal on the pro-abortion, pro-perversion Rabbi Shelton Donnell at Temple Beth Shalom in June of 2005, an conferral that was approved personally by Wojtyla (or someone acting in his name) before he died on April 1 or 2 (the day is in dispute), 2005. Why shouldn't the adherents of Reform Judaism feel emboldened enough to slap Our Lord in the face mystically as they defy the very people who have appeased them consistently in the past forty years and who have refused, absolutely refused, to seek their conversion to the Catholic Church.

Consider the statement that was issued by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Saint Louis in response to the protests made by "Archbishop" Burke about the non-ordination of the two women by a woman "bishop" in the Central Reform Synagogue two days ago:

Jewish Community Relations Council Statement on Central Reform Congregation Hosting Women’s Ordination Ceremony
October 26, 2007

The Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis (“JCRC”) has been informed that the Central Reform Congregation has agreed to allow its synagogue building to be used in November for a ceremony for the ordination of two Roman Catholic women.

Many of our Catholic friends have expressed dismay at a Jewish congregation being involved with such a ceremony, since current Roman Catholic doctrine does not allow women to be ordained.

We wish to clarify that in the Jewish faith, there is no ecclesiastical hierarchy. Each congregation is free to act in accordance with its own understanding of Jewish tradition and law. The organized Jewish community recognizes this congregational autonomy and the right of each congregation to conduct its affairs as it deems appropriate. Accordingly, Central Reform Congregation’s decision to make its facilities available for the ordination event represents the action of that congregation, not of the organized Jewish community of greater St. Louis.

The JCRC regrets any pain inuring from Central Reform Congregation’s association with the ordination event to any of our many friends in the Roman Catholic community of St. Louis, with whom we have worked closely over the years. Several decades of honest dialogue, and partnership in efforts to better our community, have led to a relationship of mutual respect between Jews and Catholics in St. Louis. Even when we disagree on theological or political issues, we do so with a sense of understanding of one another. It is our hope that an isolated act on the part of a single congregation will not be allowed to disrupt the long tradition of continued dialogue and mutual respect between our Jewish and Roman Catholic communities.

(The Jewish Community Relations Council is the public affairs arm of the organized Jewish community of St. Louis. It represents 19 member organizations and 14 at-large members.) Jewish Community Relations Council

"Dialogue" for adherents of Talmudic Judaism means silencing the voice of Catholics in public and indemnifying them as they promote abortion and perversion and all manner of other social evils under cover of law and in every aspect of popular culture. Oppose them? Ah, you are an anti-Semite and an opponent of the "progress" represented by conciliarsm's false ecumenism. The only "safe" Catholic for most, although not all, Talmudic Jews is one who adhere to conciliarism without any degree of dissent. Those Catholic who give any trace of seeking their conversion or who oppose their schemes to promote Zionism abroad and Judeo-Masonry must be denounced in the most bitter terms, as we saw ten months ago with the "special" report issued by the Southern Poverty Law Center (see: Hating Without Distinction and From the Sanhedrin to the SPLC, From Nero to the U. S. Navy). A Molotov Cocktail is thrown out by a Reform Jewish congregation and chaos is created within the rank-and-file of the conciliar structures (with more than a few winks and nods from some conciliar "bishops" and a whole passel full of their chancery factotums and apparatchiks). This is nothing other than diabolical.

Father Denis Fahey, writing in The Kingship of Christ and the Conversion of the Jewish Nation

First of all, the opposition between the supernatural Messias and the natural messias is in the very nature of things. The Jews, as a nation have refused to accept the supernatural Messias, God Himself, Who came into His own world to restore our most real life, and they still look forward to another messias. They are therefore necessarily opposed to the true order of the world. As I have already said, the Jews work with abnormal secrecy and in the Masonic society they have a powerful secret auxiliary force working for naturalism, but I am here speaking of their opposition as a nation to the supernatural. It is absurd and confusing to speak of that opposition as a plot or a conspiracy, for not only is it clear to us but the Jews themselves proclaim it openly. We must always bear in mind that the world is one, and that it is, only through acceptance of our Lord Jesus Christ as the true Messias that we can live our lives as the objective order of the world demands. Mr Belloc seems to miss the force of the opposition between naturalism and the supernatural. That is one point.

Again, opposition to the order God has established in the world leads inevitably to decay in belief in God among the Jews, and to corruption in regard to the correct attitude towards their fellow human beings and in regard to the means to be employed to get other nations to accept the messianic message. It is morally inevitable that nations which resist and or oppose the supernatural order of the world should suffer decay in the process. The excesses of the Bolshevik revolution thus find their explanation. We are, however, dealing with a moral law in the wide sense. God is merciful, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus loves the members of his own race with a special love. We cannot, as has been said, draw conclusions from such a law to all the individual members of the nation.

The third point concerns the differences amongst the Jews. Of course, there are differences amongst them and that, more unavoidably than amongst other nations, because of their opposition to order, but that fact cannot hide the truth of their strongly organised national solidarity. Is not the sympathy of the Jewish-controlled press throughout the world with the Muscovite, that is, Judaeo-Russian, Red government of Spain a proof of a strong unity?

The fourth point is that the Jews are not attacking Christian supernatural civilisation merely for the sake of destroying it. They are demolishing what for them are the accretions due to pagan conceptions, by which Catholicism has disfigured the messianic ideal. They want to prepare the way for the messias who, according to them, is still to come and who is to bring about peace and harmony amongst all the people of the world under their own rule. They demolish for the sake of reconstructing on another foundation. No wonder they persecuted St. Paul for his insistence on the fact that “Other foundation no man can lay, but that which is laid; which is Christ Jesus.” (1 Cor. III, 11).

The orthodox Jews speak of the Fatherhood of God, but they refuse to accept God’s supreme manifestation of His paternity, His sending of His only-begotten Son. They consider as blasphemous the true doctrine of the Blessed Trinity and of the supernatural life by which we can enter into the family circle of the Blessed Trinity and love the Father with the Son and the Holy Ghost. In their pride they want to impose their will on God instead of humbly accepting His Will. In their pride they oppose physical descent from Abraham to the true doctrine of spiritual descent from him in unity of faith. “Know ye, therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham . . . for you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus . . . And if you be Christ’s then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians III, 7, 26, 29). In their pride, they refuse to see in the prophecies of Isaias about the sufferings of the Messias, the narrative of the treatment that was to be meted out by them to the Messias when He came. They cannot believe that they could have made such fools of themselves as they actually did and continue to do by attempting to apply the promises of God concerning the world-wide sway of the Mystical Body of Christ to their own nation. This terrible pride is the source of the obstinacy with which they refuse to accept the Supernatural Messias. . . .

The Catholic Church condemns hatred and want of charity between nations just as it does between individuals. By nature we are brothers and by our supernature, the divine life of grace, we are united in a brotherhood which is infinitely nobler still. “Above the brotherhood of humanity and fatherland,” said Pope Pius XI, “there is a brotherhood which is infinitely more sacred and more precious, the brotherhood which makes us one in Christ, our Redeemer, namely, our kinship in the Catholic Church, the Mystical Body of Christ Himself.”

The Church condemns in a more particular manner hatred of the Jews. Why is hatred of the Jewish race, as such, especially odious? Because they are the nation and race in which the lord became flesh. Our Lord is a Jew of the House of David. Catholics commonly designate this hatred by the term “anti-Semitism.”

If we take into account the condemnation of the German racial theories in the Encyclical Letter, On the Persecution of the Church in Germany, and in the Letter of the Sacred Congregation of Seminaries of April, 1938, the present National Socialist hatred of the Jewish race is to be still more severely condemned, because it is based on blasphemous and heretical presuppositions.

It must, however, be remarked with the writer of the article, Juifs et Chrétiens, in the Dictionnaire Apologétique de la Foi Chrétienne, that the Church has spoken for and against the Jews. On the one hand, the Church has spoken for the Jews to protect their persons and their worship against unjust attacks. She has always condemned acts of violence against the Jews and has respected the liberty of their consciences and allowed them freedom for their cult. On the other hand, the Church has spoken against the Jews, when they wanted to impose their yoke on the faithful and provoke apostasy. She has ways striven to protect the faithful from contamination by them. As experience in past centuries showed that if the Jews succeeded in attaining to high offices of State they would abuse their powers to the detriment of Catholics, the Church always strove to prevent Catholics from coming under their yoke. They were forbidden to proselytise and were not allowed to have Christians as slaves or servants.

On the one hand, the Church condemns race hatred in general and hatred of the Redeemer’s race in particular. On the other hand, the Church insists, as we have seen, on the duty of combating naturalism in public and private life and approves of love of native land and extols true supernatural patriotism. We have the right and the duty to defend our country and our nation against the unjust aggression of another nation. This duty is still more strongly urged upon us when it is a question of our country’s fidelity to Christ the King. We must, therefore, combat naturalism in general always and everywhere, and we must be vigilant in regard to the naturalism of the Jewish nation in particular. The tireless energy with which His own nation pursues the elimination of the influence of the supernatural life is doubly painful to our Lord’s Sacred Heart. The combat against naturalism in general and, therefore, against the organised naturalism of the Jewish nation, is urged upon us, for example, by Pope Leo XIII (Tametsi, 1900) and Pope Pius XI (Quas Primas, 1925, and Quadragesimo Anno, 1931). . . .

Given the naturalistic messianic ambition of the Jewish nation to impose its rule on the other nations, anti-semitism for the Jews logically means whatever is in opposition to that ambition. The situation since the Second World War is being cleverly exploited to prevent anyone from opposing Jewish aims, through fear of being dubbed an “anti-Semite.” In my book, The Mystical Body of Christ and the Reorganisation of Society, I pointed out that the disordered National Socialist action against the corroding influence of Jewish naturalism on German national life led not only to measures of repression against the Jews, with regrettable violations of their personal rights, but also to persecution of the Catholic Church. Comparatively little information concerning the anti-Catholic measures ever reached the great newspaper-reading, cinema-going public, while hardly anyone could fail to be aware of what was done to the Jews. The term “anti-semitism,” with all its war connotation of Nazi cruelty, is now having its comprehension widened to include every form of opposition to the Jewish nation’s naturalistic programme. Forgetfulness of the disorder of Jewish naturalism is keeping Catholics blind to the consequences of accepting the term with its Jewish comprehension. According to the leaders of the Jewish nation, to stand for the rights of Christ the King is to be an anti-Semite.

Of all the countries in the world the United States is the country in which can best be observed this process of enlarging the comprehension of “anti-semitism” to include any and every form of opposition to what the Jewish leaders are aiming at. The United States, since its inception, has acted as if the Jewish naturalistic ambition of world-wide domination in opposition to the order of the world under Christ the King did not exist. Americans are now learning that a new anti-Christian organisation of the world is being brought about and that members of the Jewish nation are everywhere active in that work. On the one hand, the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, the American Jewish Congress, the American Jewish Committee, the Jewish War Veterans, and the well-known Communist Front, the American Civil Liberties Union, etc., are striving to prevent instruction of the New York public school children under the released time programme. On the other hand, there are powerful members of the Jewish nation like M.M. Warburg and J. P. Warburg of Kuhn, Loeb & Co., etc., etc., behind the movement for a naturalistic (or anti-supernatural) One World Government. The chief agency in the work of crushing, by the smear of smears, “anti-Semitic,” whatever is opposed to Jewish plans, is the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith. For an accurate account of the activities of that body, the two pamphlets, The Anti-Defamation League and its use in the World Communist Offensive and Know Your Enemy, by an honourable and courageous American, Robert H. Williams, are strongly recommended.

In Know Your Enemy, Robert H. Williams classifies the work of the Anti-Defamation League under four headings. Firstly, it “builds up liberal candidates, those tolerant of Communists and Zionists, to great reputations, in preparation for political office. Among its proteges are Dewey, Warren, Harold Stassen . . . Truman, the Roosevelt sons, Chester Bowles and a motley horde of lesser New Dealers. General Eisenhower was put into his job as figurehead of Columbia University by a group of internationalists . . . the League’s Walter Winchell for months boosted the Eisenhower candidacy. Eisenhower . . . is a tool in the hands of the Zionists.” Secondly, while building up its selected candidates, “it pours a stream of money and smear propaganda into an election against a chosen enemy.” Senator Burton K. Wheeler was thus defeated in Montana in 1941. Thirdly, it maintains “a nation-wide investigative agency. By its own statement, it has 200 keymen in 1200 cities. From many sources we know that this staff of G.P.U. agents spies on the private living and businesses of scores of thousands of Americans.” Fourthly, it carries on censorship, including character-defamation to suppress criticism. “By the use of information gathered by its spies, or by distorting that information . . . or by the mere threat of a malicious campaign . . . the A.D.L. is able to keep the newspapers, magazines and book publishers and Congress from effectively opposing it . . . That is why you may never have seen the name of the Anti-Defamation League in print . . . This. mighty machine promotes Communism and Zionism, protects the Frankfurter Communist-Zionist net inside the Government, subverts our children, dominates much of moviedom.”

Major Williams then points out that the A.D.L’s book of smear against American anti-Communist leaders, entitled A Measure of Freedom, was prepared by a man named Arnold Forster: “Joseph P. Kamp, one of the best informed investigators in Washington, told Congress: ‘If you can get President Truman to let you look at the F.B.1. files, you will discover that Forster’s right name is Fastenberg, and that he was a member of the Communist spy ring.’8 Forster takes orders from the League’s national chairman, Meier Steinbrink, a Justice of the New York Supreme Court. Justice Steinbrink is on intimate terms with Justice Frankfurter of the U.S. Supreme Court. We have been digging down to find Communists: those below are only the party members, the gangsters. We must look up to find the really big ones, those who would not stoop to join the party, but who create its policies, Frankfurter, Steinbrink, Lehman, Morgenthau and their consorts—these are the real Communists in America. They are the Zionist power behind Communism. The Zionists aim to dominate the West; the Communists the East, both producing the same revolution, both promoting the same world government, police backed—a world dictatorship.”

Even to mention Jewish naturalistic messianism, that is, Zionism, except favourably, is anti-Semitism in the Jewish sense. In Somewhere South of Suez, Douglas Reed points out that, in the vital matter of Zionist nationalism, the freedom of the Press has become a fallacy during the two decades preceding the publication of his book in 1951. “Newspaper-writers,” he continues, “have become less and less free to express any criticism of, or report any fact unfavourable to this new ambition of the Twentieth Century. When I eventually went to America I found that this ban, for such it is in practice, prevailed even more rigidly there than in my own country . . . In the matter of Zionist nationalism, which I hold to be allied in its roots to Soviet Communism, the ban is much more severe. In my own adult lifetime as a journalist, now covering thirty years, I have seen this secret ban grow from nothing into something approaching a law of lèse-majesté at some absolute court. In daily usage, no American or British newspaper, apparently, now dares to print a line of news or comment unfavourable to the Zionist ambition; and under this thrall matters are reported favourably or non-committally, if they are reported at all, which if they occurred elsewhere would be denounced with the most piteous cries of outraged morality. The inference to me is plain: the Zionist nationalists are powerful enough to govern governments in the great countries of the remaining West . . .

“Zionist nationalism! To-day American Presidents and British Prime Ministers, and all their colleagues, watch it as anxiously as Muslim priests watch for the crescent moon on the eve of Ramadan, and bow to it as humbly as the faithful prostrating themselves in the Mosque at Mecca . . . If a third war followed the course of the second one, when military victories were used to bring about political defeats, it would be directed to bring about a further spread of the Communist empire and of the Zionist state . . . or else, the first would be overthrown merely to aggrandise the second."

The obeisance paid by American politicians to Zionism and to the spirit of Judeo-Masonry, a spirit that is of the essence of the founding of the United States of America, has been paid also by conciliarists, who have used blandishments and appeasements and flattery of every sort imaginable to make "friends" with the enemies of Our Lord, people who will only be satisfied if what they think is the "Catholic" Church lays down all claim to the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Christ as the foundation of all social and personal order and contents itself with a spirit of interdenominationalism that permits naturalism to take ever more hold of a Catholic populace already steeped in its false tenets and already much blind to the immutable doctrine of the Social Reign of Christ the King. Appeasing the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has only emboldened them to slap Him mystically over and over again, doing so to the applause of the multitudes whose minds have been distorted and perverted by the very falsehoods of conciliarism itself. The devil is a respecter of no one. He will use one error to prop up others. This is precisely what he has doing throughout the conciliar era.

We must, of course, pray for the conversion of the all men, including those who adhere to all of the various stripes of Talmudic Judaism. We bear no one any harm. We must work for the conversion of the Jews as assiduously as did Saints Peter and Paul and the other Apostles, as zealously as did Saint Vincent Ferrer, O.P., whose preaching converted thousands of Jews and Mohammedans at the end of the Fourteenth and the beginning of the Fifteenth Centuries, and Fathers Alphonse and Theodore Ratisbonne, who worked with great diligence to seek the conversion of their own brother Jews.

Did the Fathers Ratisbonne preached "hatred" for their brother Jews? No, the Fathers Ratisbonne sought the eternal good of their brethren, seeking to help them to be regenerated in the Baptismal font, to have their Mortal Sins committed after Baptism Absolved in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, to be nourished by the very Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Divine Redeemer in the Most Blessed Sacrament in Holy Communion, to receive the Sacrament of Extreme Unction at the moment of their deaths. This is what every Catholic seeks for every person in the world, including those who belong to Talmudic Judaism. This is not hate. This is the essence of the Spiritual Works of Mercy.

Did the Council of Florence preach "hate" when Pope Eugene IV promulgated the Bull Cantate Domino in 1442?

The holy Roman Church believes, professes, and preaches that 'no one remaining outside the Catholic Church, not just pagans, but also Jews or heretics or schismatics, can become partakers of eternal life; but they will go to the everlasting fire, which was prepared for the devil and his angels,' unless before the end of life they are joined to the Church. For the union with the body of the Church is of such importance that the sacraments of the Church are helpful to salvation only for those who remaining in it; and fasts, almsgiving, other works of piety, and the exercise of Christian warfare bear eternal rewards from them alone. And no one can be saved, no matter how much alms, he has given, even if he sheds his blood for the name of Christ, unless he remains in the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church."

Pope Pius IX wrote in Singulari Quadam, December 8, 1854, that we cannot be indifferent to the salvation of the souls of others. We must work for their salvation, keeping in mind the injunction that Pope Leo XIII wrote in Sapientiae Christianae thirty-five years and one month later that we must bear with our fellow men as kindly:

Another error, equally destructive, has taken hold of some parts of the Catholic world, as we see to our sorrow. It has sunk deep into the minds of those Catholics principally who think there is good hope for the eternal salvation of all those who in no wise live in the true Church of Christ. Therefore, they are in the habit of frequently asking what will be the future lot and condition after death of those who in no way have given adherence to the Catholic faith. Advancing the flimsiest of arguments, they expect a reply that will support this erroneous opinion. Far be it from Us, Venerable Brethren, to dare set limits to the divine mercy, which is infinite. Far be it from Us to want to penetrate the secret plans and judgements of God, which are a great abyss (see Ps. 35:7), impenetrable to human thought. But according to Our apostolic office, We want your episcopal care and vigilance to be on the alert to keep away from men's minds, with all possible effort, that opinion that a way of eternal salvation can be found in any religion whatever. With all the learning and ingenuity that is yours, teach the people entrusted to your care that the dogmas of the Catholic faith are not in the slightest opposed to the mercy and justice of God.

It must, of course, be held as a matter of faith that outside the apostolic Roman Church no one can be saved, that the Church is the only ark of salvation, and that whoever does not enter it will perish in the flood. On the other hand, it must likewise be held certain that those who are affected by ignorance of the true religion, if it is invincible ignorance, are not subject to any guilt in this matter before the eyes of the Lord. Now, then, who could presume in himself an ability to set the boundaries of such ignorance, taking into consideration the natural differences of peoples, lands, native talents, and so many other factors? Only when we have been released from the bonds of this body and see God just as he is (see 1 John 3:2) shall we really understand how close and beautiful a bon joins divine mercy with divine justice. But as long as we dwell on earth, encumbered with this soul-dulling mortal body, let us tenaciously cling to the Catholic doctrine that there is one God, one faith, one baptism (see Eph. 4:5). To proceed with further investigation is wrong.

Nevertheless, as charity demands, let us pray continually for the conversion to Christ of all nations everywhere. Let us devote ourselves to the salvation of all men as far as we can, for the hand of the Lord is not shortened (see Isa. 59:1). The gifts of heavenly grace will assuredly not be denied to those who sincerely want and pray for refreshment by the divine light. These truths need to be fixed deeply in the minds of the faithful so that they cannot be infected with doctrines tending to foster the religious indifferentism which We see spreading widely, with growing strength, and with destructive effect upon souls.

It is no contradiction, however, to oppose with vigor the efforts of the enemies of Christ to undermine the truths of the true Faith while we pray and work simultaneously for their conversion. It is a contradiction, however, to heap praise and to bestow honors and awards on the enemies of Christ while making a pretense of being faithful to the tradition of the Catholic Church. The conciliarists represent everything condemned by Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominic Gregis, proving themselves over and over again to be enemies of the souls for whom Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross. The conciliarists can extol the spiritual virtues and speak eloquently of some of the history of the Church. This does not redeem how they continued to betray the Catholic Faith and and to embolden the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour with whom they are in league and upon whom they have bestowed endless honors and awards.

Let us not be intimidated by insults and threats. Let us cleave always and at all times to the true Faith, assisting at Masses offered by true bishop and true priests in the catacombs, where no concessions whatsoever are made to conciliarism or to the nonexistent "legitimacy" of its false shepherds who refuse, that's right, refuse to seek the unconditional conversion of men to the Catholic Faith with urgency.

Entrusting all, as always, to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, may we be ceaseless in our efforts to pray and to work for the conversion of all men, including Jews, to the true Faith, praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit and passing out Green Scapulars and blessed Miraculous Medals to those whom God's Providence places in our paths. Remember, Our Lady appeared to Father Alphonse Ratisbonne in the very image that she appears on the Miraculous Medal, effecting his immediate conversion to the Catholic Faith. Can we be less zealous than Our Lady in seeking the conversion of those who adhere to a religion was superseded when the curtain in the Temple in Jerusalem was torn in two from top to bottom on Good Friday as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ breathed his last breath on the wood of the Holy Cross atop Mount Calvary?

Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!

The Longer Version of the Saint Michael the Archangel Prayer, composed by Pope Leo XIII, 1888

O glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil.  Come to the aid of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.  Fight this day the battle of our Lord, together with  the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven.  That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels.  Behold this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage.  Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay, and cast into eternal perdition, souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.  That wicked dragon pours out. as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.  These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on Her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck the sheep may be scattered.  Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory.  They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.  Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church.  Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations.  Amen.

Verse: Behold the Cross of the Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.

Response: The Lion of the Tribe of Juda has conquered the root of David.

Verse: Let Thy mercies be upon us, O Lord.

Response: As we have hoped in Thee.

Verse: O Lord hear my prayer.

Response: And let my cry come unto Thee.

Verse: Let us pray.  O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we call upon Thy holy Name, and as suppliants, we implore Thy clemency, that by the intercession of Mary, ever Virgin, immaculate and our Mother, and of the glorious Archangel Saint Michael, Thou wouldst deign to help us against Satan and all other unclean spirits, who wander about the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of our souls.

Response:  Amen.
