Civilization of Love Update

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Writing in Mirari Vos, August 15, 1832, Pope Gregory XVI warned us of what happens when men believe that they have a "right" from God to say and publish whatever it is they want no matter how much it offends Him and thus harms souls and the good of their own nations:

This shameful font of indifferentism gives rise to that absurd and erroneous proposition which claims that liberty of conscience must be maintained for everyone. It spreads ruin in sacred and civil affairs, though some repeat over and over again with the greatest impudence that some advantage accrues to religion from it. "But the death of the soul is worse than freedom of error," as Augustine was wont to say. When all restraints are removed by which men are kept on the narrow path of truth, their nature, which is already inclined to evil, propels them to ruin. Then truly "the bottomless pit" is open from which John saw smoke ascending which obscured the sun, and out of which locusts flew forth to devastate the earth. Thence comes transformation of minds, corruption of youths, contempt of sacred things and holy laws -- in other words, a pestilence more deadly to the state than any other. Experience shows, even from earliest times, that cities renowned for wealth, dominion, and glory perished as a result of this single evil, namely immoderate freedom of opinion, license of free speech, and desire for novelty.

Here We must include that harmful and never sufficiently denounced freedom to publish any writings whatever and disseminate them to the people, which some dare to demand and promote with so great a clamor. We are horrified to see what monstrous doctrines and prodigious errors are disseminated far and wide in countless books, pamphlets, and other writings which, though small in weight, are very great in malice. We are in tears at the abuse which proceeds from them over the face of the earth. Some are so carried away that they contentiously assert that the flock of errors arising from them is sufficiently compensated by the publication of some book which defends religion and truth. Every law condemns deliberately doing evil simply because there is some hope that good may result. Is there any sane man who would say poison ought to be distributed, sold publicly, stored, and even drunk because some antidote is available and those who use it may be snatched from death again and again? (Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos, August 15, 1832.)

Behold the bottomless pit into which we have been plunged.

World leaders, ninety-nine percent of whom know nothing about First and Last Things and are the sworn enemies of Christ the King and His Holy Church, gather annually at the United Masonic Nations Organization in the Borough of Manhattan of the City of New York, New York, to pontificate--and that is the correct word, "pontificate," as they speak as though they have pontifical power--on how they believe the nations of the world should be governed. There is little to say about such madness when one considers the fact Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said it all for us about such delusional, power-drunk narcissists:

Let them alone: they are blind, and leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the pit. (Matthew 15: 14.)

Yes, let them alone.

After all, what can one say when a "world leader" whose own Department of Justice protects the voting intimidation tactics of the New Black Panther Party to seeks to restrict enforcement of legitimate identification laws at the state level and then proceeds to lecture his fellow naturalists about "democracy"?  (See Memo to Eric Holder: There Is No Affirmative Action Program In Heaven.)

What can one say when a "world leader" whose own Department of Justice hounds and harasses pro-life Americans and then proceeds to lecture his fellow naturalists about "freedom" and "tolerance"? ( See DOJ officials drops appeal, pays Florida pro-life sidewalk counselor.)

What can one say when a "world leader" whose own Department of Health and Human Services issues a decree to mandate that all employers, including religious institutions, provide health insurance coverage for contraception and other "family planning" services and then proceeds to lecture his fellow naturalists about "religious freedom"?

What can one say when a "world leader" refuses to call terrorism by its proper name and then continues to propagate the myth that a twelve-minute "trailer" for a motion picture that this "leader" says blasphemed the "prophet" Mohammed?

What can one say?

One can say only that this "world leader," Barack Hussein Obama has a whole lot of nerve:

True democracy demands that citizens cannot be thrown in jail because of what they believe, and that businesses can be opened without paying a bribe.  It depends on the freedom of citizens to speak their minds and assemble without fear, and on the rule of law and due process that guarantees the rights of all people.

In other words, true democracy -- real freedom -- is hard work.  Those in power have to resist the temptation to crack down on dissidents.  In hard economic times, countries must be tempted -- may be tempted to rally the people around perceived enemies, at home and abroad, rather than focusing on the painstaking work of reform.

Moreover, there will always be those that reject human progress -- dictators who cling to power, corrupt interests that depend on the status quo, and extremists who fan the flames of hate and division.  From Northern Ireland to South Asia, from Africa to the Americas, from the Balkans to the Pacific Rim, we’ve witnessed convulsions that can accompany transitions to a new political order.

At time, the conflicts arise along the fault lines of race or tribe.  And often they arise from the difficulties of reconciling tradition and faith with the diversity and interdependence of the modern world.  In every country, there are those who find different religious beliefs threatening; in every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask themselves how much they’re willing to tolerate freedom for others. (Remarks by the Caesar to the UN General Assembly.)

Know what? Most of those passages above could have been delivered by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Yes, indeed my few readers, most of whom (note that I wrote "most of whom") do not seem to know how to press a PayPal button or to put a dollar or two in the mail--smile, I pray for one and all every day), we are living at time when Figures of Antichrist walk amongst us and even applaud each other with vigor. There is little that can be said about Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetero's speech yesterday at the United Nations that has not been said in such recent articles as Appealing To Everything But Christ The King, Two Figures Of Antichrist In Search Of "Moderate" Musselmen, Staged Events, Divided By Error, Period and Those "Bumps In The Road" Will Get You Every Time.

See for yourselves:

Precisely so as “to place the modern world in contact with the life-giving and perennial energies of the Gospel” (John XXIII, Apostolic Constitution Humanae Salutis, 3), the Second Vatican Council was convened. There the Church, on the basis of a renewed awareness of the Catholic tradition, took seriously and discerned, transformed and overcame the fundamental critiques that gave rise to the modern world, the Reformation and the Enlightenment. In this way the Church herself accepted and refashioned the best of the requirements of modernity by transcending them on the one hand, and on the other by avoiding their errors and dead ends. The Council laid the foundation for an authentic Catholic renewal and for a new civilization – “the civilization of love” – as an evangelical service to man and society.

Dear friends, the Church considers that her most important mission in today’s culture is to keep alive the search for truth, and consequently for God; to bring people to look beyond penultimate realities and to seek those that are ultimate. I invite you to deepen your knowledge of God as he has revealed himself in Jesus Christ for our complete fulfilment. Produce beautiful things, but above all make your lives places of beauty. May Our Lady of Belém intercede for you, she who has been venerated down through the centuries by navigators, and is venerated today by the navigators of Goodness, Truth and Beauty. (Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, Meeting with the world of culture in the Cultural Center of Belém, Portugal, May 12, 2010.)

Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI was simply following the lead of his predecessor:

2. All of us, Christians and Muslims, live under the sun of the one merciful God.

We both believe in one God who is the Creator of Man. We acclaim God’s sovereignty and we defend man’s dignity as God’s servant. We adore God and profess total submission to him. Thus, in a true sense, we can call one another brothers and sisters in faith in the one God. And we are grateful for this faith, since without God the life of man would be like the heavens without the sun.

Because of this faith that we have in God, Christianity and Islam have many things in common: the privilege of prayer, the duty of justice accompanied by compassion and almsgiving, and above all a sacred respect for the dignity of man, which is at the foundation of the basic rights of every human being, including the right to life of the unborn child.

We Christians have received from Jesus, our Lord and Master, the fundamental law of love of God and love of neighbour. I know that this law of love has a profound echo in your hearts too, for in your sacred book, together with the invitation to faith, you are exhorted to excel in good works (cf. Sura 5,51).

3. In the world today there are many dangers which threaten the family, that precious nucleus of society wherein each human life begins and develops. I would assure you that Christians have a special concern for the family, for its unity, enrichment and protection. I speak of this concern with you because I am confident that you too are aware of the importance of the values of the family and wish to cooperate with Christians in efforts aimed at strengthening and supporting family life.

Permit me to mention some additional areas where Christians and Muslims can cooperate more.

We can engage in dialogue, in order to understand each other better at both the level of the scholars and in person-to-person relationships, in the family and in places of work and play.

We can promote more honesty and discipline in private and public life, greater courage and wisdom in politics, the elimination of political antagonisms, and the removal of discrimination because of a person’s race, colour, ethnic origin, religion or sex.

Both of us can spearhead the principle and practice of religious freedom, ensuring its application especially in the religious education of children. When the right of each child to worship God is complemented by his or her right to religious education, then all society is enriched and its members are well equipped for life. Religious education takes on increased importance today, since certain elements in society seek to forget and even to destroy the spiritual aspect of man.

4. Why do I speak of these issues with you? Because you are Muslims, and like us Christians, you believe in the one God who is the source of all the rights and values of mankind. Furthermore I am convinced that if we join hands in the name of God we can accomplish much good. We can work together for harmony and national unity, in sincerity and greater mutual confidence. We can collaborate in the promotion of justice, peace and development. It is my earnest hope that our solidarity of brotherhood, under God, will truly enhance the future of Nigeria and all Africa, and add to the good ordering of the world as a universal civilization of love.

May the Almighty and Merciful God turn his face towards you and bless you. May he guide you. May he fill you with his peace and give joy to your hearts. ( To the Muslim religious leaders, Kaduna, Nigeria, February 14, 1982.)

The currents of Modernity and Modernism flow from the same source, hell itself.

Not far away from where Obama/Soetero spoke at the United Nations, caesar's opponent in the false opposite of the "naturalist right," Willard Mitt Romney, spoke at former President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton's "Global Initiative" forum, commencing his remarks by speaking in the most glowing terms about a walking, breathing sleazeball, slimeball, pathological liar and proven perjurer:

If there’s one thing we’ve learned this election season, it’s that a few words from Bill Clinton can do any man a lot of good. After that introduction, I guess all I have to do is wait a day or two for the bounce.

Since serving as President here in America, President Clinton has devoted himself to lifting the downtrodden around the world. One of the best things that can happen to any cause, to any people, is to have Bill Clinton as its advocate. That is how needy and neglected causes have become global initiatives. It is that work that invites us here today.

As I have watched the astounding impact of this Initiative from afar, I have been impressed by the extraordinary power you have derived by harnessing together different people of different backgrounds, and different institutions of different persuasions. You have fashioned partnerships across traditional boundaries — public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, charitable and commercial.

On a smaller scale, I have seen partnerships like this work before. In Massachusetts, two social pioneers brought corporations and government and volunteers together to form City Year, the model for Americorps. I sat with then candidate for President Bill Clinton as he investigated the life-changing successes which occurred when young people came together for a year of service, linked in teams with corporate sponsors. Then, as the head of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, I saw again the stunning success than comes when the disparate elements of a community join together in unity, to overcome challenges that had seemed insurmountable before. (Mitt Romney speech to Clinton Global Initiative.)

This is pure and utter Judeo-Masonry. It could also pass for conciliarism's "reconciliation" with the Judeo-Masonic principles of Modernity that had their incubation with the Sillon in France.

Our popes have warned us about such delusional men:

Every familiarity should be avoided, not only with those impious libertines who openly promote the character of the sect, but also with those who hide under the mask of universal tolerance, respect for all religions, and the craving to reconcile the maxims of the Gospel with those of the revolution. These men seek to reconcile Christ and Belial, the Church of God and the state without God. (Pope Leo XIII, Custodi Di Quella Fede, December 8, 1892.)

Here we have, founded by Catholics, an inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact. The new Sillonists cannot pretend that they are merely working on “the ground of practical realities” where differences of belief do not matter. Their leader is so conscious of the influence which the convictions of the mind have upon the result of the action, that he invites them, whatever religion they may belong to, “to provide on the ground of practical realities, the proof of the excellence of their personal convictions.” And with good reason: indeed, all practical results reflect the nature of one’s religious convictions, just as the limbs of a man down to his finger-tips, owe their very shape to the principle of life that dwells in his body. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Really, what more can be said?

It was in the same City of New York that the "civilization of love" boasted about by the conciliar "popes" the New York City Board of Education began a program at thirteen of its high schools to distribute the "Plan B Emergency" contraception," whose over-the-market sales to women eighteen years of age or older was permitted by the United States Food and Drug Administration under the administration of the "pro-life" George Walker Bush, and the Depro-Provera "long-lasting" contraceptive injection (which is placed under the skin of women) to girls fourteen years of age and older without notifying or receiving approval from their parent, who must "opt out" of the program if they do not want their daughters to receive the "free" "health care" poisons. The name of this insidious program, which has been denounced by Timothy Michael "Cardinal" Dolan, the conciliar "archbishop" of New York, who has, of course, expressed his "admiration" for the "work" of the pro-abort, pro-perversity Anti-Defamation League, is Connecting Adolescents To Comprehensive Health (CATCH):

The New York City Department of Education is providing morning-after pills and other birth control drugs to students at 13 city high schools.

School nurse offices supplied with the contraceptives can reportedly dispense "Plan B" emergency contraception and other oral or injectable birth control to girls as young as 14 without telling their parents -- unless the parents opt out of the program after receiving a school letter informing them of the new policy.

Fox affiliate WNYW reports that New York City high schools have supplied free condoms to teens in the past, but this is the first time city schools have given hormonal birth control and Plan B, which can prevent pregnancy if taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sex.

Connecting Adolescents to Comprehensive Health, known as CATCH, is part of a citywide plan to prevent teen pregnancy.

According to the New York Post, which first reported the story, 7,000 New York City girls under age 17 got pregnant last year. Sixty-four percent of those pregnancies were aborted, according to the newspaper.

The Plan B distribution could be the first of its kind in the nation. The National Association of School Nurses said it could not locate another school district that supplies Plan B. (NYC schools to dispense morning-after pill without notifying parents.)

Yes, Michael Rubens Bloomberg, the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Mayor of the City of New York, New York, who was, it should be pointed out, elected to three terms with the support of large numbers of Catholics in the belief that the Republican "pro-abortion, pro-perversity" self-described "billionaire playboy" was a "lesser evil" than each of three Democrats Bloomberg faced (in 2001, 2005 an 2009), is at it again. The same man who mandated that New York City teaching hospitals institution programs to "train" medical students to kill babies by surgical means and who has been on the warpath against super-sized sodas and the sodium content of food in New York City restaurants is promoting this pilot program that will, if deemed a "success," spread to other city high schools.

As noted just above, "Cardinal" Dolan has expressed his opposition to this program, calling it "tragic and misguided." Never once, however, in the statement he issued on his "blog" did he give any indication that "Plan B," which obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Ron Paul does not believe is an abortifacient when it is in fact precisely that, is a baby-killing pill. Why is it so hard for him to speak the truth on the matter.

"Cardinal" Dolan's statement, which was signed by the conciliar "bishop" of Brooklyn, Nicholas De Marzio, contained a passage that says far more than he intended:

Parents have the right and the responsibility to be the first and primary educators of their children. This plan usurps that role, and allows the public school system to substitute its beliefs and values for those of the parents. It also places minors at risk, because no school system can be expected to know all the pertinent health information about their son or daughter, and be able to properly judge what is in their best interests. Requiring parents to “opt-out” of the program is hardly adequate, either. In New York State in recent weeks, laudable legislation has been passed and signed into law requiring explicit consent from parents if a child wants to get a piercing or a tattoo. We now also have a law on the books banning minors from using tanning salons even if the parents consent, out of concern for possible long term health risks. And, for every other medical procedure, explicit, informed consent is required. But not when these powerful drugs – with their potentially serious side effects – are involved. Then we let these young teens do what they want, without a word to their parents.

It has been shown by years of experience that contraceptives are not the solution to the problem of teen sexual activity. Studies show that increased availability of contraception fails to reduce rates of unintended pregnancy and abortion. New York City’s government already distributes tens of millions of free condoms, and contraceptives are readily available from other sources, yet rates of teen sexual activity and pregnancies continue to be unacceptably high, and our abortion rate is a national disgrace.

Abstinence before marriage is the only sure way to avoid pregnancy and disease, while also allowing minors to practice virtue and responsibility. The public schools would be better advised to promote what truly works rather than continuing to follow a failed experiment that will only lead to further problems for society and for young people. (The Gospel in the Digital Age.)

Yes, parents do have the "right and the responsibility to be the first and primary educators of their children." However, not this "plan" that "usurps" this role, but the whole concept of state-run, state-controlled "schools" that teach a state-mandated curriculum that is of its very nature a wholesale effort to "substitute" state-approved "beliefs and values for those of the parents." That's what public schools do. This is what they have always done. (See America's Concentration Camps.)

Moreover, the demand for contraceptive pills and devices among young girls exists in large measure because of the fact that they have been saturated with incentives to commit sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments by means of explicit classroom instruction in matters that pertain exclusively to the married state and, of course, have been permitted by their parents, at least in most cases, to dress impurely, speak indecently and to watch or listen to whatever entertainment "fare" they desire no matter that such "fare" contains one incitement to sin after another. The New York City "program" is simply "responding" to a demand that its schools have helped to create. And it should be noted, of course, that the conciliar schools are just as responsible for undermining the innocence and purity of the young as are the public schools because, thanks to the late "Bishop" James T. McHugh, they were pioneers in the implementation of explicit classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments (see Mrs. Randy Engel, The McHugh Chronicles and her definitive Sex Education - The Final Plague).

Madness. Utter madness.

Oh, I forgot. We're in the "civilization of love." How silly of me. After all, it is approaching 1:30 a.m. on the Feast of the North American Martyrs, and I did get to sleep last night at 4:30 a.m. before arising four hours later. I can be a little silly without much sleep and without any sign of life in that post office box for the past week.

The "civilization of love" is also on display in country that is the eldest daughter of the Church, France, still suffering the consequences of the French Revolution and, in the past five decades now, the conciliar church's "reconciliation" with its precepts:

France is set to ban the words "mother" and "father" from all official documents under new plans to legalize gay marriage and give equal adoption rights to homosexual and heterosexual couples.

Under the proposed law, only the word "parents" would be used in marriage ceremonies for all heterosexual and same-sex couples, a move that has sparked widespread outrage, The Telegraph reports.

Changes to the civil code would mean swapping all references to "mothers and fathers," in legal documents, with the word "parents."

The proposed law has been met with resistance by members of the Catholic Church.

"Gay marriage would herald a complete breakdown in society," Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, the head of the French Catholic Church, told Christian’s RFC radio last week.

"This could have innumerable consequences. Afterward they will want to create couples with three or four members. And after that, perhaps one day the taboo of incest will fall," he said, according to the report.

"Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring up a child better than a homosexual couple, that they will guarantee the best conditions for the child’s development?" Justice Minister Christiane Taubira told France's Catholic newspaper, La Croix.

Pope Benedict XVI urged French bishops to fight against the law, The Telegraph reports.

French Catholics also have published a 'Prayer for France,' which says, "Children should not be subjected to adults' desires and conflicts, so they can fully benefit from the love of their mother and father," according to the report.

The law will be presented to France’s President Francois Hollande's cabinet for approval on October 31. Hollande has pledged to legalize gay marriage. (French gay-marriage law will ban 'mother,' 'father'.)

Excuse me, "Cardinal" Barbarin.

Excuse me, "Benedict."

Could I have your attention for a brief moment.

Your conciliar revolution has helped to bring such chastisements upon us. God will not be mocked by men who extol the "separation of Church and State" in France that was condemned in the strongest terms by Pope Saint Pius X in Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906, and Une Fois Encore, January 6, 1907:

That the State must be separated from the Church is a thesis absolutely false, a most pernicious error. Based, as it is, on the principle that the State must not recognize any religious cult, it is in the first place guilty of a great injustice to God; for the Creator of man is also the Founder of human societies, and preserves their existence as He preserves our own. We owe Him, therefore, not only a private cult, but a public and social worship to honor Him. Besides, this thesis is an obvious negation of the supernatural order. It limits the action of the State to the pursuit of public prosperity during this life only, which is but the proximate object of political societies; and it occupies itself in no fashion (on the plea that this is foreign to it) with their ultimate object which is man's eternal happiness after this short life shall have run its course. But as the present order of things is temporary and subordinated to the conquest of man's supreme and absolute welfare, it follows that the civil power must not only place no obstacle in the way of this conquest, but must aid us in effecting it. The same thesis also upsets the order providentially established by God in the world, which demands a harmonious agreement between the two societies. Both of them, the civil and the religious society, although each exercises in its own sphere its authority over them. It follows necessarily that there are many things belonging to them in common in which both societies must have relations with one another. Remove the agreement between Church and State, and the result will be that from these common matters will spring the seeds of disputes which will become acute on both sides; it will become more difficult to see where the truth lies, and great confusion is certain to arise. Finally, this thesis inflicts great injury on society itself, for it cannot either prosper or last long when due place is not left for religion, which is the supreme rule and the sovereign mistress in all questions touching the rights and the duties of men. Hence the Roman Pontiffs have never ceased, as circumstances required, to refute and condemn the doctrine of the separation of Church and State. (Pope Saint Pius X, Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906.)

17. The vague and ambiguous-wording of some of its articles places the end pursued by our enemies in a new light. Their object is, as we have already pointed out, the destruction of the Church and the dechristianization of France, but without people's attending to it or even noticing it. If their enterprise had been really popular, as they pretend it to be, they would not have hesitated to pursue it with visor raised and to take the whole responsibility. But instead of assuming that responsibility, they try to clear themselves of it and deny it, and in order to succeed the better, fling it upon the Church their victim. This is the most striking of all the proofs that their evil work does not respond to the wishes of the country.

18. It is in vain that after driving Us to the cruel necessity of rejecting the laws that have been made -- seeing the evils they have drawn down upon the country, and feeling the universal reprobation which, like a slow tide, is rising round them -- they seek to lead public opinion astray and to make the responsibility for these evils fall upon Us. Their attempt will not succeed.

19. As for Ourselves, We have accomplished Our duty, as every other Roman Pontiff would have done. The high charge with which it has pleased Heaven to invest Us, in spite of Our unworthiness, as also the Christian faith itself, which you profess with Us, dictated to Us Our conduct. We could not have acted otherwise without trampling under foot Our conscience, without being false to the oath which We took on mounting the chair of Peter, and without violating the Catholic hierarchy, the foundation given to the Church by our Savior Jesus Christ.

We await, then, without fear, the verdict of history. History will tell how We, with Our eyes fixed immutably upon the defense of the higher rights of God, have neither wished to humiliate the civil power, nor to combat a form of government, but to safeguard the inviolable work of Our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. It will say that We have defended you, Our beloved sons, with all the strength of Our great love; that what We have demanded and now demand for the Church, of which the French Church is the elder daughter and an integral part, is respect for its hierarchy and inviolability of its property and liberty; that if Our demand had been granted religious peace would not have been troubled in France, and that, the day it is listened to that peace so much desired will be restored in the country.

20. And, lastly, history will say, that if, sure beforehand of your magnanimous generosity. We have not hesitated to tell you that the hour for sacrifice had struck, it is to remind the world, in the name of the Master of all things, that men here below should feed their minds upon thoughts of a higher sort than those of the perishable contingencies of life, and that the supreme and intangible joy of the human soul on earth is that of duty supernaturally carried out, cost what it may and so God honored, served and loved, in spite of all.

21. Confident that the Immaculate Virgin, Daughter of the Father, Mother of the Word, and Spouse of the Holy Ghost, will obtain for you from the most holy and adorable Trinity better days, and as a token of the calm which We firmly hope will follow the storm, it is from the depths of Our heart that We impart Our Apostolic Blessing to you, Venerable Brethren, as well as to your clergy and the whole French people. (Pope Saint Pius X, Une Fois Encore, January 6, 1907.)

Conciliarists reject categorically what our true popes have taught concerning the Divine Rights of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to reign as king of men and their nations.

Contrast Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II's closing passage in his 2004 "World Day of Peace Message" with Pope Saint Pius X's "call to arms" in Notre Charge Apostolique:

Christians know that love is the reason for God's entering into relationship with man. And it is love which he awaits as man's response. Consequently, love is also the loftiest and most noble form of relationship possible between human beings. Love must thus enliven every sector of human life and extend to the international order. Only a humanity in which there reigns the “civilization of love” will be able to enjoy authentic and lasting peace. (Message for the World Day of Peace 2004.)

This, nevertheless, is what they want to do with human society; they dream of changing its natural and traditional foundations; they dream of a Future City built on different principles, and they dare to proclaim these more fruitful and more beneficial than the principles upon which the present Christian City rests.

No, Venerable Brethren, We must repeat with the utmost energy in these times of social and intellectual anarchy when everyone takes it upon himself to teach as a teacher and lawmaker - the City cannot be built otherwise than as God has built it; society cannot be setup unless the Church lays the foundations and supervises the work; no, civilization is not something yet to be found, nor is the New City to be built on hazy notions; it has been in existence and still is: it is Christian civilization, it is the Catholic City. It has only to be set up and restored continually against the unremitting attacks of insane dreamers, rebels and miscreants. omnia instaurare in Christo. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Although Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was referring to the Pharisees, His words about them apply just as well and just as equally to the lords of Modernity in the world and the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism and their mad, inter-related schemes to build a "civilization of love" while spitting on the Social Reign of Christ the King:

Let them alone: they are blind, and leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the pit. (Matthew 15: 14.)

With Our Lady as our sure guide and intercessor, may we indeed be ever earnest about making reparation for our own many sins, each of has contributed to the worsening of the state of the Church Militant here on earth and of the world-at-large. Once again, make no mistake about it: our own sins and our ingratitude and our lukewarmness have exacerbated, that is, worsened, the state of the Church Militant on earth. We cannot be content to wallow in spiritual mediocrity. We must accept whatever penances and humiliations that God chooses to send us so that we can give them back to His Most Sacred Heart through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother as her consecrated slaves, especially by means of praying as many Rosaries as our states-in-life permit.

Our Lady stands by the tomb of her Divine Son, Who has been buried mystically by the conciliarists' contempt for the truths that He has revealed exclusively through His Catholic Church and have been taught infallibly by her without any hint or shadow of change from Pentecost Sunday. We must keep her company at that tomb in our prayers, being ever willing to take on more penances and to renounce our own comfort and convenience and all attachment to human respect in order to help to usher in the day when the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will make it possible for the enemies of her Divine Son in the modern world and in the grips of Modernism will be vanquished, permitting the restoration of all things in Christ the King as we honor her as our Immaculate Queen.
