Applause For Killers
by
Thomas A. Droleskey
There are mysteries in this passing, mortal vale of tears that will never be resolved or understood until the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead on the Last Day. I, for one, am most content to wait until then to know, for example, the circumstances of the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy on Friday, November 22, 1973, or how the steel-columnized twin towers of the World Trade Center in the City of New York, New York, collapsed after being hit by airplanes on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Although many people, including, sadly, a lot of Catholics, spend a lot time reading this and that "conspiracy" theory to explain these--and seemingly countless other--temporal mysteries, it is enough for me to know that the ultimate conspiracy theorist is the devil, who prowls about the world seeking the ruin of souls by tempting us weak human beings into doing his bidding for him so as to sow the seeds of disorder in our own souls and thus in the world-at-large in preparation to receive us for eternal punishments in Hell.
The release of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, a Libyan who was convicted by a panel consisting of three Scottish judges sitting at Camp Zeist in The Netherlands of responsibility for the bomb that blew up Pan American World Airways Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, on Wednesday, December 21, 1988, on humanitarian grounds, accompanied by the enthusiastic reception that he received upon his arrival at an air base in Tripoli, Libya, on Thursday, August 20, 2009, has resulted in a great outcry in the United States of America over the release of a man who is perceived to be a mass murderer.
It is this aspect of Al Megrahi's release that is the focus of this particular commentary, not Al Megrahi's innocence or guilt, about which there is considerable controversy as many neutral parties believe that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi had nothing to do with the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing at all. Given what we know now about the manipulation of evidence by law enforcement officials on both sides of the Atlantic, it is certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that Al Megrahi was the victim, as some believe, of a miscarriage of justice. Alas, this is something that will not be known for sure until the Last Day unless someone with proof of the alleged framing of Al Megrahi comes forth with evidence beforehand. Others contend that Al Megrahi is indeed guilty and that lucrative side deals were cut between officials of the United Kingdom and Libya to effect his release. I will pray my Rosaries rather than to search high and low on the internet for the "answers" to this one prior to the unfolding of all mysteries on the Last DAy.
The reaction in the United States of America to Al Megrahi's release demonstrates yet again the human capacity of selective outrage. While it is certainly understandable that family members and friends of those killed in the tragic bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 would be outraged over the release the man who has been deemed responsible for the deaths of their loved ones just four days before Christmas Day in 1988, it is a sad commentary on the state of affairs in a world whose popular culture, such as it is, is founded on the naturalistic and anti-Incarnational lies of Modernity, that one's sense of outrage over the deaths of innocent human beings in a crime is largely, although perhaps not exclusively, contingent on being directly related to--and/or being of the same nationality as--those killed.
Taking absolutely nothing away from the genuine grief felt by those afflicted as a result of the death of their loved ones in a tragic assault of one type or another, it is nevertheless quite ironic that very few Americans grieve over the victims of the mass murders that take place every day in their own country as over four thousand innocent babies are put to death by surgical means, countless more thousands are put to death as a result of pills placed into vials by men and women in white coats in neighborhood pharmacies. Who grieves for the victims of chemical and surgical baby-killing? Very few people. Very few people indeed.
Not only do very few people, relatively speaking, grieve for the victims of chemical and surgical baby-killing in the United States of America, a sad, sad commentary on our times when most people are immersed in their bread and circuses as various websites and pay nonstop attention to Caesar Obamus's vacation plan, most, although not all, of the very same people who are outraged over the warm reception in Libya that was accorded Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Ali Megrahi think nothing at all of giving warm and enthusiastic receptions to those involved in chemical and surgical baby-killing.
Most Americans have no problem giving their enthusiastic support for those in public life who promote baby-killing and other evils under cover of the civil law. Look at the enthusiastic reception given by Catholic students and parents at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, on Sunday, May 17, 2009, to a man, Barack Hussein Obama, who, in addition to supporting baby-killing under cover of the civil law and appointing a number of egregious pro-aborts, including Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, to key positions in his administration, has issued Executive Orders that have resulted in the executions of innocent babies in their mothers' womb (see No "Common Ground" Between Truth and Error). The crowd today, much like the crowd on Good Friday, motivated by our own sins having transcended time, loves to cheer for Barabbas and his cronies, not for anyone who defends the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication.
What is even sadder is the fact that the conciliar "pontiffs" and their conciliar "bishops" have no problem bestowing awards on those who support the terrorism of chemical and surgical baby-killing. This is what I wrote in
Honors Aplenty for Devils Galore four months ago now:
In contrast to the Catholic Church, the counterfeit church of conciliarism does confer honors of men who promote evils under cover of the civil law.
Although the opposition to the honorary doctorate that will be conferred by the administrators of the University of Notre Dame upon the Marxist-trained, pro-abortion President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama, on the part of Catholics attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is certainly warranted and most commendable, it fails to recognize the glaring incongruity posed by the simple fact that the past two conciliar "pontiffs" have conferred "papal knighthoods" upon one pro-abortion Jewish rabbi after another. It is a little incongruous to oppose the awarding of an honorary doctorate to Barack Hussein Obama when the conciliar "popes" have conferred "papal knighthoods" and medals upon men who deny the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and who make war upon His Holy Church and upon all social order by their promotion of various evils, including the active promotion of abortion, under the euphemism of "reproductive" rights, in the United States of America and elsewhere throughout the world.
Incongruity is, of course, the order of the day in the madness that is passed off as Catholicism by the lords of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, for instance, can violate the First Commandment grievously and repeatedly by esteeming the symbols of false religions with his own priestly hands and by praising the nonexistent ability of these religions, each of which is hated by God, to promote the common temporal good within nations and peace among them without much, if any, criticism by the same people who are understandably and justifiably upset by the award being given to--and the forum being provided to-- Barack Hussein Obama by the University of Notre Dame.
Crimes against God, however, are higher in gravity than crimes against men. How can one oppose crimes against the Fifth Commandment when one is silent about crimes against the First Commandment? And it is the fact that the conciliar "pontiffs" have offended God grievously and repeatedly by violating the First Commandment that they have seen fit to honor adherents of Talmudic Judaism who promote crimes against the Fifth Commandment. After all, one g who loses his sense of the honor and glory and majesty of God by giving credibility and esteem to false religions will come to see no incongruity at all in honoring men who adhere to these false religions even though they are at war with God by means of the public promotion of one social evil after another, including the direct, intentional killing of the innocent preborn.
Consider the fact that Sir Sigmund Sternberg, a member of the "Reform" branch of Talmudic Judaism, was "knighted" by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II in 1985. Sir Sigmund, as he is called in the United Kingdom, was responsible for arranging for Wojtyla/John Paul II's first-ever "papal" visit to a Talmudic synagogue on April 13, 1986, whereby the false "pontiff" violated the Canon Law of the Catholic Church, which forbade such visits. Sir Sigmund was responsible for convincing Wojtyla/John Paul II to move a Carmelite convent from a site near the Auschwitz concentration camp. He was also instrumental in establishing diplomatic relations between the State of Vatican City, now in conciliar captivity, with the Zionist State of Israel on December 30, 1993.
All of this is, of course, bad enough, indicative of how the counterfeit church of conciliarism caters to the ancient enemies of the Faith, those who make warfare against the Social Reign of Christ the King so incessantly and in so many varied ways, without ever once--and I mean ever once--seeking with urgency their unconditional conversion to the true Faith as did, say, Saint Peter and Saint Stephen the Protomartyr and the man who presided over his martyrdom, Saint Paul the Apostle, and Saint Vincent Ferrer, O.P., among others.
Sir Sigmund Sternberg, however, has also been quite supportive of an organization called Rights and Humanity, issuing the following statement in its support:
“What Rights and Humanity has achieved since its establishment is quite astounding, whether at government level, in association with non-governmental organisations, universities or professional associations." (Sir Sigmund Sternberg, Order of St John, KCSG, Patron)
Rights and Humanity's website is very explicit in its support of "reproductive rights:"
UN Adoption: the tipping point
At the same time, the UN Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, was calling for the integration of human rights into the broad range of UN activities, including in the areas of development and humanitarian affairs.
We had already been working intensively with WHO and UNDP to ensure integration of human rights into their policies and programmes. Rights and Humanity’s book was of immediate benefit to the staff of all UN agencies who were grappling for the first time with understanding how human rights was relevant to their work and led to a rapid adoption of the human rights approach to development across UN agencies.
Over the coming years, we were commissioned to advise on policy and the practical implementation of this approach and to provide training for a wide range of UN agencies in this regard.
Simultaneously, other factors were combining to help build the environment conducive to a human rights approach to development and which influenced its adoption on the international stage.
These include:
- confirmation at the World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna, 1993, of the right to development as an inalienable human right
- recognition of women’s rights, including reproductive rights, as an essential basis for development and the strengthened global commitment to ensuring equality between men and women made at the 1994 Cairo and 1995 Beijing Conferences
- establishment of the post of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) with the strengthened mandate to promote the right to development
- the experience of UNICEF in utilising the Convention on the Rights of the Child as a foundation for its policies and programmes.
Sir Sigmund Sternberg is also the Vice President of a pro-abortion organization known as One World Action, which awards something called the "One World Action/Sternberg Award annually.
None of this was an impediment to Sigmund Sternberg being made a "knight" of the Order of Saint John by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II. Ecumenism trumps truth as the counterfeit church of conciliarism bestows honors on those who promote social evils under cover of the civil law.
It is incongruous, you see, for those in the counterfeit church of conciliarism to protest an award being given to a sitting President of the United States of America who supports the same evils as those adherents of the Talmud who have been "knighted" or awarded medals by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II and Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.
Indeed, Sir Sigmund Sternberg has company in the conciliar hall of shame that honors men such as himself despite the fact that they belong to a false religion that makes warfare against the Church and thus against all social order while promoting one evil after another under cover of the civil law.
The late Leon Klenicki, a rabbi of the Reform branch of Talmudic Judaism, and an official in the pro-abortion Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai Brith, was granted a "knighthood" in Order of Saint Gregory by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI on August 27, 2007 (see Continuing to Knight Infidels).
Reform Rabbi Walter Jacob was"knighted" to the Papal Order of Saint Gregory by the then conciliar "bishop" of Pittsburgh, who has since succeeded Theodore "Allah" McCarrick as the conciliar "archbishop" of Washington, D.C., on June 18, 2005.
We must not forget, of course, that the ever avuncular Roger "Cardinal" Mahony, the nefarious conciliar "archbishop" of Los Angeles, California, whose archdiocese has had to pay out close to $1 billion in settlement money to victims of perverted priests who had been protected by Mahony and his crew, bestowed "papal knighthoods" upon thirty-third degree Masons Roy Disney, whose motion picture company's various divisions have distributed films that have attacked the Catholic Faith and promoted all manner of insidious evils, and Rupert Murdoch, whose FOX broadcast television network broke ground in the field of producing and airing some of the most reprehensible and morally offensive programming in the history of American television.
Some will protest that these "papal" "knights" were bestowed honors in spite of their support for various evils, that their work in "other areas," such as ecumenism (or, in the cases of Roy Disney and Rupert Murdoch, giving oodles and oodles of money to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for the deformation of souls under Mahony's false stewardship).
Well, isn't this what "Father" John Jenkins, the President of the University of Notre Dame du Lac, is claiming to be the case with President Barack Hussein Obama, that he, Obama, is not being honored because of his support for abortion but because he is the first black President of the United States of America?
Obviously, it does not matter whether Barack Hussein Obama is black, white, green, yellow, red, brown, pink or turquoise. What matters is that he supports the mystical dismemberment of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs. It does, however, become a little incongruous for those attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism to protest an honor being bestowed upon a sitting pro-abortion President of the United States of American when honors have been bestowed by the conciliar "pontiffs" upon men who have been in the vanguard of promoting one social evil after another under cover of the civil law.
The Catholic Church does not confer honors on men who promote evils under cover of the civil law. The counterfeit church of conciliarism does confer such honors.
A true pope never threatens the integrity of the Deposit of Faith by honoring those who are at war with the One Whose Vicar on earth he is. The false "popes" of conciliarism threaten the integrity of the Deposit of Faith by, among things, honoring those who are indeed at war with the Invisible Head of the Catholic Church, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The lords of Modernity and the lords of Modernism are as one in sending up rousing applause for the killers of the preborn.
One need only remember how the pro-abortion Rudolph William Giuliani, the former Mayor of the City of New York, New York, who is now considering a run next year for the Governorship of the State of New York (no man, including Robert F. Wagner, Jr., John V. Lindsay, and Edward Irving Koch, who has served as Mayor of the City of New York has advanced to any higher office in the past century, although each of these men tried to go beyond the political graveyard that has always been the Mayoralty of New York City, save for Mayor DeWitt Clinton, who became Governor of New York from 1817 to 1822 and again from 1825 to 1828 after having been Mayor of New York City from 1808 to 1810 and again from 1811 to 1815) was lauded by the then conciliar "archbishop" of New York, Edward "Cardinal" Egan, after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, despite the fact that Giuliani supports the right of women to engage in true domestic terrorism against the innocent preborn.
The former conciliar "bishop" of Monterey, California, Sylvester Ryan, had an actual, honest-to-goodness baby-killer serving on his "review panel" to deal with allegations of perversity against his priests and presbyters. Readers can click on Stonewalling From Another Bishop Ryan to read what I wrote at the time in 2004, two years before I embraced sedevacantism, obviously, in an article that appeared originally on the Seattle Catholic website but is no longer to be found there (each of my articles has been expunged from that site).
Roger "Cardinal" Mahony, the doctrinally and liturgically corrupt
six hundred million dollar conciliar "archbishop" of Los Angeles, California, has
has helped to enable the careers of various and sundry Catholic pro-abortion politicians, including former California Governor Gray Davis and the current Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Anthony Villaraigosa. Roger Mahony plainly believes that one is not disqualified from holding public office for supporting the dismemberment of the innocent preborn under cover of the civil law.
And then there was the case of a certain Barack Hussein Obama, who was given a very warm greeting by the bestower of "papal" awards on Talmudic pro-abortions, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, with the following words:
A blessing on all your work and also for you." (Benedict XVI meets Obama - Catholic Herald Online; see also,
A "Blessing" on a Murderer and His Work.)
With all of the attention on the terrorists, real and unjustly accused, who are held responsible, whether justly or unjustly, for the killings of innocent human beings in various attacks to accomplish certain political goals and/to make political or "religious" statements, it is always important, ladies and gentleman, to remember that true terrorists, those who kill babies by chemical and surgical means, walk among us every single day.
A nation that tolerates this butchery as babies are vacuumed, burned, sliced, diced and carved up in their mothers' wombs is not "civilized." It is an outlaw nation that will spawn all manner of seemingly "random" acts of violence that are actually the rotten fruit of believing that men can know social order without submitting themselves, both personally and socially, to the Deposit of Faith that the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity made Man in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost at the Annunciation.
And it is important to point out that this nation was founded by men who had a
founding hatred for Christ the King and who thus believed that it was not necessary to recognize the true Church as the official religion of the civil state, men who believed as well that it was not necessary for men to have belief in, access to and cooperation with Sanctifying Grace to pursue virtue (no less sanctifying and thus save their immortal souls as members of the one, true Church, the Catholic Church, outside of which there is no salvation).
Freemasons in this nation gladly exported this lie south of our own borders, hoping to undermine Catholicism in Latin America in the name of "spreading" in that region the alleged "liberties" of the "American way" of pluralism and religious indifferentism that are but violent, diabolically-inspired rejections of the Divine Plan that God Himself directly instituted to effect man's return to Him through the Catholic Church and to establish and maintain social order as the fruit of the supernatural order established and maintained in the souls of citizens by means of Sanctifying Grace.
Oh, yes, American Freemasons sought to do violence to the Cross of the Divine Redeemer and the honor of the Empress of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe, within a short period of time following the founding of the United States of America, ushering in periods of massive violence against believing Catholics all throughout Latin America, especially in Our Lady's country, Mexico. Anticlericalism was preached in the name of "civil" and "religious" liberty. American Freemasons made such inroads in Latin America that even the ranks of the priesthood (Father Francisco Calvo started Freemasonry in Costa Rica in 1865, a time when European Freemasons were recruiting clergy in not a few places there) were infiltrated, setting the stage for the larger problems that would lead up to the devil's warfare against the Catholic Church by means of Modernism and its progeny, including conciliarism.
Even the wealth enjoyed by many of the Protestant "blue blood" families that emigrated to the English colonies in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries was the result in most instances of the blood money that was made when King Henry VIII confiscated the lands of Catholic monasteries and convents, forcing the self-sufficient poor who lived on those lands (and who paid but a nominal rent annually and a share of their crops for the privilege of having their posterity live on those lands in perpetuity), in the Sixteenth Century and then distributed that land to his supporters to make them beholden to his schemes and to thus make it difficult for any true and lasting reunion with Rome to be made by any of his successors. After all, very few people will want to give up their ill-gotten material benefits for the sake of something as arcane and "silly" as returning to the very Church that the God-Man Himself founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. Thus it is that the "money" that has always fueled the engine of the bloodthirsty competition engendered by Calvinist capitalism came from Henry VIII's theft of lands from the Catholic Church and his cruel mistreatment of the poor who had lived on those lands, a legacy of cruelty that is forever conjoined with the fact that he presided over the execution of over 72,000 Catholics in England and Ireland who remained faithful to Rome in the years between 1534 and his death by an unspeakable disease in 1547. Ah, yes, the "civilized" English.
Yes, sadly, so many in the United States of America, founded up the theological lies of Protestantism and the naturalistic lies of Judeo-Masonry, have rendered applause to cold-blooded killers time and time again.
Cold-blood English Protestant killers expelled the Catholic Acadians (in what is now called Nova Scotia) in 1755 and thereafter who would not abandon the Catholic Faith and the Immemorial Mass of the ages to worship at the "Mass" of Thomas Cranmer that served as a prototype for the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service. The Catholic Acadians were treated worse than wild dogs as entire families were separated and as some of them were forced into slavery in the colonies in what became the United States of America a few decades later. Consider this moving excerpt from a history of the Acadians:
The British "Final Solution" for the Acadians was deportation. It all started at 3 PM on September 5, 1755 at the Catholic Church in Grand Pre. Following the orders and plan of the Lieutenant General, Governor Lawrence, following the decree of the King of England, the British Council at Halifax unanimously decided to begin deporting the Acadians immediately to various British Colonies outside of Canada. The vessels needed for this were to be commandeered in the King's name. By this time, the Acadians numbered some 13,000 on the Acadian peninsula alone. More and more British troops had been arriving and the Acadians were acutely aware that big trouble was brewing.
A proclamation was issued accordingly to "all the inhabitants of the district of Grand Pre, Minas, River Canard, etc. ..... to attend the Church at Grand Pre on Friday the fifth instant, at three of the clock in the afternoon, that we may impart to them what we are ordered to communicate to them; declaring that no excuse will be admitted, on any pretense whatever, on pain of forfeiting goods and chattels, in default of real estate. - Given at Grand Pre 2d September, 1755."
That Friday, 418 of the residents presented themselves at the Church as ordered. Colonel John Winslow, having tricked them into this assembly, announced to them that they were to be immediately deported outside of the Province and that all their properties and goods with the exception of their cash monies and personal belongings were hereby confiscated by and to the benefit of the British Crown. Soldiers surrounded the church to prevent any escapes.
The news of this spread quickly and those who could escaped to the woods, but in vain. Their country was laid to waste. Deported from Grand Pre alone were 2,242 Acadians. The Acadians were lined up and driven to the transport ships. Women and children were loaded on boats as fast as could be provided. As if to deprive the exiles of even the hope of return, the British burned to the ground 255 of their homes, 276 barns, 11 mills, and one church while the transport vessels were still in sight. Despite the promises of Colonel Winslow to keep families together, most families were separated immediately - parents from their children, wives from their husbands, children from their siblings - many to never see each other again. The Acadians were placed under arrest and were loaded on the ships with no choice in the manner. They took only what they were wearing and what little monies they had on their person at the time. Some of the ships used as transports were not seaworthy. Consequently, two of the ships, the Violet and the Duke William, with two groups of 650 Acadians went to a watery grave in the icy mid-Atlantic on December 10 of that year. Only one lifeboat with 27 survivors lived to tell what happened. "I do not know," observes 19th century American historian George Bancroft, " if the annals of the human race keep the record of sorrows so wantonly inflicted, so bitter and so lasting as fell upon the French inhabitants of Acadia."
How ironic it must seem for the living descendants of those expelled Acadians who now live in the town of Winslow - a town so named in honor of the same British officer, General John Winslow, who was directly responsible for carrying out those dastardly deeds in the darkest hour in the history of the Acadians.
About 2,000 Acadians managed to escape arrest and they wandered through the woods like hunted animals, half-clad and half-starved, in ever search of some near relative. Some made it safely into Quebec where they established new lives in such towns as l'Acadie, Becancour, Nicolet, and others. Of those escapees was one of my own 6th generation paternal ancestors, Laurent Doucet, son of Paul Doucet (a direct descendant of Acadia's first governor, Germain Doucet) and Anne LeBrun. How they survived this terrible ordeal is almost miraculous. Today, the direct descendants of these escaped Acadians number over 230,000 souls, including one-third of the present population of New Brunswick.
The deportation continued unabated over a period of 8 years. Between 1755 and 1763, Governor Lawrence kept unloading the Acadians along the American coast - over 2,000 to Boston, where the Bostonians treated them like slaves, 700 from Grand Pre and Port Royal to Connecticut, and about 250 poor, naked, and destitute to New York. New York rid the major part of her Acadian exiles by persuading them to emigrate to Santo Domingo, where most of them perished miserably from the torrid sun. Lawrence exiled 754 to Philadelphia where, being held captive aboard the ships in the harbor for three months, smallpox killed 237 of them. Some 2,000 more were removed to Maryland where several hundred of them escaped to Louisiana, Quebec, and the West Indies. To North Carolina, Lawrence sent 500, and to South Carolina, 1,500 Acadians. The Carolinians cleverly enticed them to leave in some old boats for Acadia. Of these, only 900 arrived at the River St. John. Another 400 were banished to Georgia where, preferring death anywhere in the tropics to slavery with the blacks in the cotton fields and sugar plantations, they fled. Wherever they went, the Acadians were unwanted, shunned, cheated, despised, and heartlessly allowed to die without even the care and affection given to pet animals. Only Connecticut was prepared to receive the exiles sent to her and treated them as a group humanely. In all, nearly 3,700 Acadians were dispersed along the coast in the British colonies of America. There is no doubt that every Acadian would have preferred exile in France to banishment to any other place.
The method of dispersing the Acadians has scarcely an equal in history. Said Edmund Burke, "We did, in my opinion, most inhumanely, and upon the pretenses that, in the eye of an honest man, are not worth a farthing, root out this poor, innocent, deserving people, whom our utter inability to govern, or to reconcile, gave us no sort of right to extirpate." How right was his judgement. There were many pitiful separations in families. One case is particularly well-known. Due to the small number of transports, Rene Leblanc, notary-public of Grand Pre, his wife, and their two youngest children were put on one ship and landed in New York, but their eighteen other children and 150 grandchildren were loaded aboard different ships and dispersed among the colonies. There were deliberate separations of husbands from their wives and fathers from their children. Men would come back home from their work in the woods or fishing boats only to find their families gone, their homes burned to the ground, and the British soldiers waiting to arrest them and force them aboard ships for permanent banishment from their lands. Yet others were taken to various ports in England as prisoners of war and placed in concentration camps such as at Liverpool. (Acadia and the Acadians, by Robert Chenard.)
If this moving account does not break your Catholic heart, my friends, I do not know what will.
No believing Roman Catholic can speak of the English colonies as "civilized." Unlike Latin America, where Catholic missionaries interceded in behalf of the indigenous peoples in the face of the cruelty and excesses of some of the Spanish conquistadors and colonizers, there was no one to plead for the Acadians, no one to remonstrate with the bloodthirsty English who had lost their sensus Catholicus and had become as mad the lustful man who plunged England into darkness of blood and cruelty and greed and hatred and bigotry in 1534. The violence that we see expanding exponentially in our cities and in workplaces and in schools and on university campuses is but the all-too-logical consequence of a nation founded on the false premises that man can know social order in the pursuit of his "ultimate" end, that is, material prosperity as a sign of 'divine election," while spitting in the face of the binding precepts of the Divine positive law and the natural law and plaiting Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ anew with a Crown of Thorns as His Social Kingship is mocked and vilified as "outdated," unnecessary and even harmful by Catholic conservative quislings in this country and by the entire ethos of conciliarism-at-large.
Yes, fallen human nature has wreaked havoc throughout history, even during the period of the Catholic Middle Ages. Nevertheless, the frailties of Catholics in the Middle Ages pale into insignificance when one looks at the savagery of the barbaric tribes of Europe before their Catholicization in the First Millennium and that of the barbaric tribes of the Americas prior to Our Lady's apparitions to the Venerable Juan Diego in 1531. Consider this very cogent summary of the history of the Middle Ages, that is, Christendom, written by Pope Leo XIII in Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:
There was once a time when States were governed by the philosophy of the Gospel. Then it was that the power and divine virtue of Christian wisdom had diffused itself throughout the laws, institutions, and morals of the people, permeating all ranks and relations of civil society. Then, too, the religion instituted by Jesus Christ, established firmly in befitting dignity, flourished everywhere, by the favor of princes and the legitimate protection of magistrates; and Church and State were happily united in concord and friendly interchange of good offices. The State, constituted in this wise, bore fruits important beyond all expectation, whose remembrance is still, and always will be, in renown, witnessed to as they are by countless proofs which can never be blotted out or ever obscured by any craft of any enemies. Christian Europe has subdued barbarous nations, and changed them from a savage to a civilized condition, from superstition to true worship. It victoriously rolled back the tide of Mohammedan conquest; retained the headship of civilization; stood forth in the front rank as the leader and teacher of all, in every branch of national culture; bestowed on the world the gift of true and many-sided liberty; and most wisely founded very numerous institutions for the solace of human suffering. And if we inquire how it was able to bring about so altered a condition of things, the answer is -- beyond all question, in large measure, through religion, under whose auspices so many great undertakings were set on foot, through whose aid they were brought to completion.
A similar state of things would certainly have continued had the agreement of the two powers been lasting. More important results even might have been justly looked for, had obedience waited upon the authority, teaching, and counsels of the Church, and had this submission been specially marked by greater and more unswerving loyalty. For that should be regarded in the light of an ever-changeless law which Ivo of Chartres wrote to Pope Paschal II: "When kingdom and priesthood are at one, in complete accord, the world is well ruled, and the Church flourishes, and brings forth abundant fruit. But when they are at variance, not only smaller interests prosper not, but even things of greatest moment fall into deplorable decay."
But that harmful and deplorable passion for innovation which was aroused in the sixteenth century threw first of all into confusion the Christian religion, and next, by natural sequence, invaded the precincts of philosophy, whence it spread amongst all classes of society. From this source, as from a fountain-head, burst forth all those later tenets of unbridled license which, in the midst of the terrible upheavals of the last century, were wildly conceived and boldly proclaimed as the principles and foundation of that new conception of law which was not merely previously unknown, but was at variance on many points with not only the Christian, but even the natural law.
Yes, the glory of the Middle Ages, which saw the transformation of barbarous nations into Catholic nations where rulers ruled in many, although certainly not all, instances according to the Mind of the Divine Redeemer as He has discharged It exclusively in the Catholic Church, was undermined and attacked by the "deplorable passion for innovation" of Martin Luther and John Calvin and Thomas Cranmer and Henry VIII and Elizabeth I and John Knox and John Wesley and Richard Topcliffe and Oliver Cromwell, theological revolutionaries who wrought their work in the blood of innocent Catholics as they sacked Catholic Churches and denied her perennial rites of worship and teaching, paved a path of blood for the likes of the social revolutionaries of the English colonies in North America and in France and Latin America and Italy and Germany. There is no better expression of the belief that the path to "liberal progress" in the world is wrought by the shedding of the blood of Catholics than these chilling words of Woodrow Wilson, contained in Robert Leckie's book, Catholic and American (and quoted in my own Christ in the Voting Booth):
"Wilson replied [to a Father Kelley, who was a representative of James Cardinal Gibbons, the longtime Americanist Archbishop of Baltimore, for whom Wilson had such contempt that he addressed him as Mister Gibbons]: 'I have no doubt but that the terrible things you mention have happened during the Mexican revolution. But terrible things happened also during the French revolution, perhaps more terrible things than have happened in Mexico. Nevertheless, out of that French revolution came the liberal ideas that have dominated in so many countries, including our own. I hope that out of the bloodletting in Mexico some such good yet may come.'
"Having thus instructed his caller in the benefits which must perforce accrue to mankind out of the systematic robbery, murder, torture and rape of people holding a proscribed religious conviction, the professor of politics [Wilson] suggested that Father Kelley visit Secretary of State Williams Jennings Bryan, who expressed his deepest sympathy. Obviously, the Wilson administration was committed to supporting the revolutionaries ."(Leckie, p. 274).
The bloodshed of the innocent preborn in this country is, therefore, as horrible and unspeakably tragic as it is, is but a logical consequence of the madness produced in the world as a result of the planned, systematic overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King by the Protestant Revolt and all of the forces that followed its wake (Liberalism, Calvinist Capitalism, Materialism, Judeo-Masonry, Pluralism, Religious Indifferentism, Socialism, Communism, Nihilism, Hegelianism, Evolutionism, Modernism, et al.). And a country that not only permits the daily massacre of the preborn as it presides over a daily massacre of innocents in a country its troops have unjustly invaded and forcibly occupied will be one where no one is safe at any time in any place.
The spiritual blindness that results from such a situation is what is responsible for the outrage over the release of an alleged mass murderer, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, while so many Americans, including so many Catholics in the United States of America, still go "ooh" and "aah" over an unapologetic statist and a supporter of baby-killing who has authorized the executions of innocent babies with their own taxpayer dollars, Barack Hussein Obama. It is this same spiritual blindness that still keeps so many "conservative" Catholics in the dark about the crimes committed by the "pro-life" fraud known as George Walker Bush (see Y2K's Lesser Evil Has Brought Us Great Evils).
Although I have quoted the passages below from Pope Leo XIII's Tametsi Futura Prospicientibus, November 1, 1900, quite a lot, I am going to do so once again so as to illustrate the simple truth that men fall back into barbarism sooner or later when Christ is not the King both of the souls of individual men and of entire nations:
From this it may clearly be seen what consequences are to be expected from that false pride which, rejecting our Saviour's Kingship, places man at the summit of all things and declares that human nature must rule supreme. And yet, this supreme rule can neither be attained nor even defined. The rule of Jesus Christ derives its form and its power from Divine Love: a holy and orderly charity is both its foundation and its crown. Its necessary consequences are the strict fulfilment of duty, respect of mutual rights, the estimation of the things of heaven above those of earth, the preference of the love of God to all things. But this supremacy of man, which openly rejects Christ, or at least ignores Him, is entirely founded upon selfishness, knowing neither charity nor selfdevotion. Man may indeed be king, through Jesus Christ: but only on condition that he first of all obey God, and diligently seek his rule of life in God's law. By the law of Christ we mean not only the natural precepts of morality and the Ancient Law, all of which Jesus Christ has perfected and crowned by His declaration, explanation and sanction; but also the rest of His doctrine and His own peculiar institutions. Of these the chief is His Church. Indeed whatsoever things Christ has instituted are most fully contained in His Church. Moreover, He willed to perpetuate the office assigned to Him by His Father by means of the ministry of the Church so gloriously founded by Himself. On the one hand He confided to her all the means of men's salvation, on the other He most solemnly commanded men to be subject to her and to obey her diligently, and to follow her even as Himself: "He that heareth you, heareth Me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth Me" (Luke x, 16). Wherefore the law of Christ must be sought in the Church. Christ is man's "Way"; the Church also is his "Way"-Christ of Himself and by His very nature, the Church by His commission and the communication of His power. Hence all who would find salvation apart from the Church, are led astray and strive in vain.
As with individuals, so with nations. These, too, must necessarily tend to ruin if they go astray from "The Way." The Son of God, the Creator and Redeemer of mankind, is King and Lord of the earth, and holds supreme dominion over men, both individually and collectively. "And He gave Him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, and tongues shall serve Him" (Daniel vii., 14). "I am appointed King by Him . . . I will give Thee the Gentiles for Thy inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession" (Psalm ii., 6, 8). Therefore the law of Christ ought to prevail in human society and be the guide and teacher of public as well as of private life. Since this is so by divine decree, and no man may with impunity contravene it, it is an evil thing for the common weal wherever Christianity does not hold the place that belongs to it. When Jesus Christ is absent, human reason fails, being bereft of its chief protection and light, and the very end is lost sight of, for which, under God's providence, human society has been built up. This end is the obtaining by the members of society of natural good through the aid of civil unity, though always in harmony with the perfect and eternal good which is above nature. But when men's minds are clouded, both rulers and ruled go astray, for they have no safe line to follow nor end to aim at.
Just as it is the height of misfortune to go astray from the "Way," so is it to abandon the "Truth." Christ Himself is the first, absolute and essential "Truth," inasmuch as He is the Word of God, consubstantial and co-eternal with the Father, He and the Father being One. "I am the Way and the Truth." Wherefore if the Truth be sought by the human intellect, it must first of all submit it to Jesus Christ, and securely rest upon His teaching, since therein Truth itself speaketh. There are innumerable and extensive fields of thought, properly belonging to the human mind, in which it may have free scope for its investigations and speculations, and that not only agreeably to its nature, but even by a necessity of its nature. But what is unlawful and unnatural is that the human mind should refuse to be restricted within its proper limits, and, throwing aside its becoming modesty, should refuse to acknowledge Christ's teaching. This teaching, upon which our salvation depends, is almost entirely about God and the things of God. No human wisdom has invented it, but the Son of God hath received and drunk it in entirely from His Father: "The words which thou gavest me, I have given to them" john xvii., 8). Hence this teaching necessarily embraces many subjects which are not indeed contrary to reason for that would be an impossibility-but so exalted that we can no more attain them by our own reasoning than we can comprehend God as He is in Himself. If there be so many things hidden and veiled by nature, which no human ingenuity can explain, and yet which no man in his senses can doubt, it would be an abuse of liberty to refuse to accept those which are entirely above nature, because their essence cannot be discovered. To reject dogma is simply to deny Christianity. Our intellect must bow humbly and reverently "unto the obedience of Christ," so that it be held captive by His divinity and authority: "bringing into captivity every understanding unto the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians x., 5). Such obedience Christ requires, and justly so. For He is God, and as such holds supreme dominion over man's intellect as well as over his will. By obeying Christ with his intellect man by no means acts in a servile manner, but in complete accordance with his reason and his natural dignity. For by his will he yields, not to the authority of any man, but to that of God, the author of his being, and the first principle to Whom he is subject by the very law of his nature. He does not suffer himself to be forced by the theories of any human teacher, but by the eternal and unchangeable truth. Hence he attains at one and the same time the natural good of the intellect and his own liberty. For the truth which proceeds from the teaching of Christ clearly demonstrates the real nature and value of every being; and man, being endowed with this knowledge, if he but obey the truth as perceived, will make all things subject to himself, not himself to them; his appetites to his reason, not his reason to his appetites. Thus the slavery of sin and falsehood will be shaken off, and the most perfect liberty attained: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" john viii., 32). It is, then, evident that those whose intellect rejects the yoke of Christ are obstinately striving against God. Having shaken off God's authority, they are by no means freer, for they will fall beneath some human sway. They are sure to choose someone whom they will listen to, obey, and follow as their guide. Moreover, they withdraw their intellect from the communication of divine truths, and thus limit it within a narrower circle of knowledge, so that they are less fitted to succeed in the pursuit even of natural science. For there are in nature very many things whose apprehension or explanation is greatly aided by the light of divine truth. Not unfrequently, too, God, in order to chastise their pride, does not permit men to see the truth, and thus they are punished in the things wherein they sin. This is why we often see men of great intellectual power and erudition making the grossest blunders even in natural science.
It must therefore be clearly admitted that, in the life of a Christian, the intellect must be entirely subject to God's authority. And if, in this submission of reason to authority, our self-love, which is so strong, is restrained and made to suffer, this only proves the necessity to a Christian of long-suffering not only in will but also in intellect. We would remind those persons of this truth who desire a kind of Christianity such as they themselves have devised, whose precepts should be very mild, much more indulgent towards human nature, and requiring little if any hardships to be borne. They do not properly under stand the meaning of faith and Christian precepts. They do not see that the Cross meets us everywhere, the model of our life, the eternal standard of all who wish to follow Christ in reality and not merely in name.
God alone is Life. All other beings partake of life, but are not life. Christ, from all eternity and by His very nature, is "the Life," just as He is the Truth, because He is God of God. From Him, as from its most sacred source, all life pervades and ever will pervade creation. Whatever is, is by Him; whatever lives, lives by Him. For by the Word "all things were made; and without Him was made nothing that was made." This is true of the natural life; but, as We have sufficiently indicated above, we have a much higher and better life, won for us by Christ's mercy, that is to say, "the life of grace," whose happy consummation is "the life of glory," to which all our thoughts and actions ought to be directed. The whole object of Christian doctrine and morality is that "we being dead to sin, should live to justice" (I Peter ii., 24)-that is, to virtue and holiness. In this consists the moral life, with the certain hope of a happy eternity. This justice, in order to be advantageous to salvation, is nourished by Christian faith. "The just man liveth by faith" (Galatians iii., II). "Without faith it is impossible to please God" (Hebrews xi., 6). Consequently Jesus Christ, the creator and preserver of faith, also preserves and nourishes our moral life. This He does chiefly by the ministry of His Church. To Her, in His wise and merciful counsel, He has entrusted certain agencies which engender the supernatural life, protect it, and revive it if it should fail. This generative and conservative power of the virtues that make for salvation is therefore lost, whenever morality is dissociated from divine faith. A system of morality based exclusively on human reason robs man of his highest dignity and lowers him from the supernatural to the merely natural life. Not but that man is able by the right use of reason to know and to obey certain principles of the natural law. But though he should know them all and keep them inviolate through life-and even this is impossible without the aid of the grace of our Redeemer-still it is vain for anyone without faith to promise himself eternal salvation. "If anyone abide not in Me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up and cast him into the fire, and he burneth" john xv., 6). "He that believeth not shall be condemned" (Mark xvi., 16). We have but too much evidence of the value and result of a morality divorced from divine faith. How is it that, in spite of all the zeal for the welfare of the masses, nations are in such straits and even distress, and that the evil is daily on the increase? We are told that society is quite able to help itself; that it can flourish without the assistance of Christianity, and attain its end by its own unaided efforts. Public administrators prefer a purely secular system of government. All traces of the religion of our forefathers are daily disappearing from political life and administration. What blindness! Once the idea of the authority of God as the Judge of right and wrong is forgotten, law must necessarily lose its primary authority and justice must perish: and these are the two most powerful and most necessary bonds of society. Similarly, once the hope and expectation of eternal happiness is taken away, temporal goods will be greedily sought after. Every man will strive to secure the largest share for himself. Hence arise envy, jealousy, hatred. The consequences are conspiracy, anarchy, nihilism. There is neither peace abroad nor security at home. Public life is stained with crime.
So great is this struggle of the passions and so serious the dangers involved, that we must either anticipate ultimate ruin or seek for an efficient remedy. It is of course both right and necessary to punish malefactors, to educate the masses, and by legislation to prevent crime in every possible way: but all this is by no means sufficient. The salvation of the nations must be looked for higher. A power greater than human must be called in to teach men's hearts, awaken in them the sense of duty, and make them better. This is the power which once before saved the world from destruction when groaning under much more terrible evils. Once remove all impediments and allow the Christian spirit to revive and grow strong in a nation, and that nation will be healed. The strife between the classes and the masses will die away; mutual rights will be respected. If Christ be listened to, both rich and poor will do their duty. The former will realise that they must observe justice and charity, the latter self-restraint and moderation, if both are to be saved. Domestic life will be firmly established (by the salutary fear of God as the Lawgiver. In the same way the precepts of the natural law, which dictates respect for lawful authority and obedience to the laws, will exercise their influence over the people. Seditions and conspiracies will cease. Wherever Christianity rules over all without let or hindrance there the order established by Divine Providence is preserved, and both security and prosperity are the happy result. The common welfare, then, urgently demands a return to Him from whom we should never have gone astray; to Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life,-and this on the part not only of individuals but of society as a whole. We must restore Christ to this His own rightful possession. All elements of the national life must be made to drink in the Life which proceedeth from Him- legislation, political institutions, education, marriage and family life, capital and labour. Everyone must see that the very growth of civilisation which is so ardently desired depends greatly upon this, since it is fed and grows not so much by material wealth and prosperity, as by the spiritual qualities of morality and virtue.
Pope Leo XIII amplified these points in A Review of His Pontificate, March 19, 1902:
So society in its foolhardy effort to escape from God has rejected the Divine order and Revelation; and it is thus withdrawn from the salutary efficacy of Christianity which is manifestly the most solid guarantee of order, the strongest bond of fraternity, and the inexhaustible source of all public and private virtue. This sacrilegious divorce has resulted in bringing about the trouble which now disturbs the world. Hence it is the pale of the Church which this lost society must re-enter, if it wishes to recover its well-being, its repose, and its salvation.
Just as Christianity cannot penetrate into the soul without making it better, so it cannot enter into public life without establishing order. With the idea of a God Who governs all, Who is infinitely wise, good, and just, the idea of duty seizes upon the consciences of men. It assuages sorrow, it calms hatred, it engenders heroes. If it has transformed pagan society--and that transformation was a veritable resurrection--for barbarism disappeared in proportion as Christianity extended its sway, so, after the terrible shocks which unbelief has given to the world in our days, it will be able to put that world again on the true road, and bring back to order the States and peoples of modern times. But the return of Christianity will not be efficacious and complete if it does not restore the world to a sincere love of the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. In the Catholic Church Christianity is Incarnate. It identifies itself with that perfect, spiritual, and, in its own order, sovereign society, which is the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ and which has for Its visible head the Roman Pontiff, successor of the Prince of the Apostles. It is the continuation of the mission of the Savior, the daughter and the heiress of His Redemption. It has preached the Gospel, and has defended it at the price of Its blood, and strong in the Divine Assistance and of that immortality which has been promised It, It makes no terms with error but remains faithful to the commands which It has received, to carry the doctrine of Jesus Christ to the uttermost limits of the world and to the end of time, and to protect It in Its inviolable integrity. Legitimate dispenser of the teachings of the Gospel It does not reveal Itself only as the consoler and Redeemer of souls, but It is still more the internal source of justice and charity, and the propagator as well as the Guardian of true liberty, and of that equality which alone is possible here below. In applying the doctrine of its Divine Founder, It maintains a wise equilibrium and marks the true limits between the rights and privileges of society. The equality which it proclaims does not destroy the distinction between the different social classes It keeps them intact, as nature itself demands, in order to oppose the anarchy of reason emancipated from Faith, and abandoned to its own devices. The liberty which it gives in no wise conflicts with the rights of truth, because those rights are superior to the demands of liberty. Not does it infringe upon the rights of Justice, because those rights are superior to the claims of mere numbers or power. Nor does it assail the rights of God because they are superior to the rights of humanity.
Applause is given to cold blooded killers--and potential cold blooded killers--every day as these killers are enabled by the civil laws and emboldened by the support they receive in the popular culture. They dress nattily as they go to the baby-killer centers. Some are the "friendly" pharmacists at the neighborhood CVS Pharmacy or Walgreen's that dispense the pills and poisons that kill preborn babies chemically. As noted earlier, even far more dangerous than these actual killers are the Catholics in public life who support their "right" to kill the innocent preborn. And even far more dangerous that these "Catholics" in public life are the "shepherds" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism who kill Catholic worship and doctrine with their lies of adapting to the "needs" of "modern" man and of the necessity of accepting a "healthy secularity" in the place of any "ill-considered" and "unrealistic" effort to restore Christendom, of all things.
Look at the applause that was accorded late-term baby-killer George Tiller after his murder at a Lutheran "church" in Wichita, Kansas, on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, 2009. Tiller was lionized as a "hero" and a "champion" of "women's rights." And while the conciliar "archbishop" of Kansas City, Kansas, Joseph Fred Naumann, wrote a column in The Leaven, the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, reaffirming his opposition to Tiller's crimes, he went ahead and "offered" the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service for the soul of Tiller, a non-Catholic, mind you, who died as a thorough supporter of the bloody trade that he practiced with such abandon as he gave political contributions, derived from the blood money paid to him to murder children, a plenty to the like of Catholic turncoats such as the aforementioned Kathleen Sebelius, who was the Governor of the State of Kansas before she was sworn in as the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services on April 28, 2009. (See
Reichstag II.)
Applause has been given even by officials of the counterfeit church of concilairism following the deaths of the unreconstructed supporters of baby-killing. The late Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Thomas P. O'Neill, was praised lavishly by that protector of perverted priests and presbyters, the "pro-life" Bernard "Cardinal" Law, the conciliar "archbishop" of Boston, Massachusetts, from March 25, 1984, to December 13, 2002, at the "Mass of Christian Burial" Law "offered" for the pro-abortion (and pro-Sandinista) O'Neill after the latter's death on January 5, 1994.
The late Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, William Brennan, who cast one of the seven votes in favor of baby-killing in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton on January 22, 1973, and remained a key supporter of "abortion rights" until he left the court on July 20, 1990, was given what is called in the conciliar structures a "Mass of Christian Burial" following his death on July 24, 1997.
The late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, another supporter of Roe v. Wade, was given a "Mass of Christian Burial following his death on March 26, 2003, lionized as a champion of the "poor" despite his support for a woman's "right" to "choose" to murder her preborn child.
And does anyone doubt that Edward Moore Kennedy, who has been in the United States Senate since November 7, 1962, will be praised greatly by conciliar officials when he dies of the brain cancer that he has been battling since it was diagnosed last year? There will also be an outpouring of "love" for Kennedy on the part of many ordinary Catholics, who have come to accept--or at least to be "comfortable" with--baby-killing under cover of law. (See Apostasy Has Consequences and Accustomed to Apostasy.)
Look at how the recently confirmed Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America Sonia Sotomayor has been praised by one leftist Catholic group after another despite the fact that she is almost certain to be another reliable vote in behalf of chemical and surgical baby-killing (see Trying to Guess What Should Be Presumed).
This is, of course, but a continuation of the applause that had been given in the past by Americanist bishops of the Catholic Church in the decades prior to the "Second" Vatican Council to the statist likes of Presidents Thomas Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The bureaucratic apparatus of the United States Conference of "Catholic" "Bishops" (USCCB) has long been supportive of the agenda of statism and collectivism. It is from the "cement palace" on Fourth Street in Washington, D.C., that the Office of Film and Broadcasting of the United States Conference of "Catholic" "Bishops" offers its endorsement--its applause, if you will, of such motion pictures as Brokeback Mountain and Golden Compass. It is no accident that many of the employees of the USCCB support pro-aborts for public office and are very enthusiastic in their support of the nationalization of the health care industry represented by ObamaCare regardless of its baby-killing provisions.
The USCCB began its life as the National Catholic War Council (NCWC) in 1917 before changing its name in 1919 to the National Catholic Welfare Council. The National Catholic Welfare Conference was threatened with disbanding by the Holy See in 1922 shortly before the death of Pope Benedict XVI because of the dangers of Americanism posed by a permanently established body of bishops, After much political wrangling, the Americanists won the day, having established a body that would be a forerunner of the national "episcopal conferences" created in the wake of the "Second" Vatican Council. The current conciliar "bishops" and their apparatchiks who give applause to the reprobates in public office who support various evils are merely the descendants of the Americanists who formed the National Catholic War Council to support the virulent anti-Catholic Woodrow Wilson's policy of involving the United States of America unjustly in the immoral war that was World War I. There is nothing really new here, and it is thus no wonder that the faithful who are as of yet attached to the conciliar structures give their own applause so readily to those in public life who support one moral evil after another, if not to those evils in and of themselves.
In the face of all this applause given to spiritual and physical killing, you see, we must be people of forgiveness, reparation and prayer. We must forgive others as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ forgives us in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. This does not mean that justice in the civil realm cannot be pursued without malice or prejudice. This does not mean that we are to refrain from criticizing the conciliarists and denouncing their soul-killing beliefs and practices with all of the might that Our Lady, who hates heresy because it blasphemes her Divine Son and makes a mockery of His Incarnation and Redemptive Act, can send us.
No, to be people of forgiveness, reparation and prayer means that we must recognize our own utter dependence upon the graces won for us on Calvary by the shedding of every single drop of Our Lord's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flows into our hearts and souls by the working of God the Holy Ghost in the Sacraments through the loving hands of Our Lady, the Mediatrix of All Graces, to see ourselves and the world in which we live clearly through the eyes of the true Faith and that we are in constant need of being forgiven by the God-Man in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance ourselves.
We must pray for those we are duty-bound to oppose, such as the Caesar Obamuses of the world, offering up our acts of reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary so that those who words and actions show themselves to be enemies of the Cross of the Divine Redeemer and thus of the eternal good of souls (and of the temporal good of men and their nations) will be converted to the true Faith and gain access to the possibility of an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Paradise. Saint Dismas came in at the eleventh hour, did he not? He "stole" Heaven. We must pray that today's enemies of the Faith will be the Saint Pauls of tomorrow.
As I noted yesterday in Keep Trying, Keep Trying, we have to have total confidence in Our Lady's Fatima Message, trying to plant seeds as best we can for the conversion of this nation to the Catholic Faith so that our governing documents will recognize once and for all that Christ must reign as King of the United States of America and that Mary Immaculate must be honored as our Queen. And to this end, of course, we must invoke the intercession of the great Saint Louis IX, King of France, whose just rule over his subjects remains the epitome of the Social Reign of Christ the King.
Applause for the killers of bodies amongst the lords of Modernity in the world and for the killers of souls amongst the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism will end when the Triumph of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary is made manifest. We can help to usher in that Triumph by remaining faithful to the Immemorial Mass of Tradition, offered at the hands of priests who make no concessions at all to conciliarism or to the legitimacy of the conciliar shepherds, by spending time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament outside of Mass, and by renewing on a daily basis our consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, consoling these Hearts by imitating the simple love of Francisco Marto, who prayed as many Rosaries as he could each day to "console the good God."
We've got Rosaries to pray.
What are we waiting for?
Can't we pray at least one set of Mysteries of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary right now!
We have a "good God" to console, don't we? Let's go console Him without delay.
Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!
Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
Saint Joseph, Patron of Departing Souls, pray for us.
Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.
Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.
Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.
Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.
Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, pray for us.
Saint Louis IX, King of France, pray for us.
