Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque: The Suffering Servant of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

Do you think that you have sufferings from family members or associates?

The saint whose feast is celebrated today, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, was favored with visions of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in her childhood, and he believed this to have been a normal experience that any child might have. Even as a child, therefore, this favored child of Our Lord's was blessed with tremendous sufferings from a pair of domineering paternal aunts, who persecuted her and her mother after her father's death. This early childhood suffering, which was accompanied by a physical affliction that left her bedridden for four years, was just a preparation for the suffering that Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque endured to spread public devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at the specific request of Our Lord Himself.

The hearts of men had grown cold because of Jansenism when Our Lord revealed the secrets of His Most Sacred Heart to Sister Margaret Mary Alacoque in the Visitation Convent in Paray le Monial, France, between December of 1673 and June of 1685. We cannot let our own love for the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus grow cold in our hearts. We must forgive as we are forgiven, and we must remember the high price of infidelity that France paid for the refusal of King Louis XIV to consecrate the whole of France, and not just Paris, to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (as is related in an appendix to this article).

This is being posted late on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, because the visit I made to a cardiologist yesterday, Monday, October 16, 2017, the Feast of Saint Hedwig, revealed that I am, despite the pronouncment of the young physician who saw me briefly in an emergency room on Friday evening, October 13, 2017, the Feast of Saint Edward the Confessor and the one hundredth anniversary of Our Lady's final apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, suffering from a few heart abnormalities that might require what is called an "oblation" to stabilize my beat, which has this nagging tendency to, say, stop, and then proceed. In other words, it is, as the cadiologist described it to be, an "electrical issue."

Given the history of coronary disease on my father's side of the family, which includes my late father's multiple heart problems (his brother had a pacemaker for the last twenty years of his life, I believe), various other tests will be run on November 3, 2017.

The most significant finding, which the physician on Friday night either missed or did not have the experience to recognize as life-threatening, is that my blood potassium level remains critically low. The cardiologist explained that this could cause sudden death, which is why he prescribed a super-duper dose of postassium chloride to be taken daily to overcome the deficiency. So much for "your numbers look great," which is what the young emergency room physician said in a brief visit before discharging me from five and one-half hours of waiting without any information.

The blood potassium deficiency, therefore, remains the reason that I am always so very fatigued. As a physician-friend of ours said, it is nothing other than the working of Our Lady's graces that I have been able to continue functioning at all.

I ask the readers of this site for their prayers and ask also for your patience with me as I try to complete articles, which take much longer now than in the past.

Moreover, I do intend to spend time putting out anthologies of the articles on this site as the heart problems, which are called "abnormalities" by the cardiologist, are a reminder that the Master cometh like a thief in the night but that it is still nevertheless a working of His ineffable mercy to be warned that He may come sooner rather than later! Deo gratias.

Now, all of this having been noted, we will be employing naturopathic means to deal with the coronary problems, following in a particular way the recommendations of the late Maria Treben in her book Health Through God's Pharmacy With Medicinal Herbs. A source to purchase some of the herbs listed in the book can be found at Maria Treben's Authentic Swedish Bitters. You will not be disappointed with Maria Treben's book.

Obviously, and all non-tax-deductible financial gifts will help us a lot at this time. Thank you.

Jorge Applies the Death Penalty to the Nature of Dogmatic Truth

It was while in the waiting area of an emergency room to be examined for chest discomfort on Friday afternoon, October 13, 2017, the Feast of Saint Edward the Confessor and the one hundredth anniversary of Our Lady’s sixth and final apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, that I received an e-mail from a friend containing a Lifesite News story about Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s latest attack on the death penalty. (I go on very few sites as my time and available gigabytes are very limited.)

Perhaps it was a mistake on my part, but I then went to the Vatican website to find the actual text of the address. This is probably why my blood pressure was 144/116 a short while thereafter! (I have no time nor energy to detail what happened in the emergency room other than I spent five and one-half hours getting little information other than the “numbers” are good even though the blood pressure numbers are not “good.” It’s off to a cardiologist on Monday.).

As is frequently the case, therefore, other word has been put aside temporarily to make way for this commentary. Work is proceeding on four other articles, one of which I hope to have ready for posting by tomorrow, Monday, October 16, 2016, the Feast of Saint Hedwig and the Commemoration of the Purity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Republished: We Must Accept What the Rationalists Reject

I am offering you several revised reflections on the anniversary of the one hundredth final apparition of Our Lady in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, as the Miracle of the Sun occurred and she, clothed in the garment of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, proclaimed herself to be Our Lady of the Rosary.

We need to heed Our Lady's Fatima Message as it is nothing other than Heaven's own Peace Plan.

On The Day That An Earthly King Yields to Our Heavenly Queen

Today, October 13, 2017, is the one hundreth anniversary of Our Lady's final apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin, Lucia dos Santos, in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal. It is no accident that that Our Heavenly Queen of the Most Holy Rosary chose to appear this day, which is the semi-double of one the great exemplars of the Social Reign of Christ the King: Saint Edward the Confessor.

Remember, The Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Does Not Act On Their Own

This is a reflection on the anniversary of the one hundredth and final apparition of Our Lady in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, as the Miracle of the Sun occurred and she, clothed in the garment of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, proclaimed herself to be Our Lady of the Rosary. We need to heed Our Lady's Fatima Message as it is nothing other than Heaven's own Peace Plan.

Two other republished reflections will appear today. There will also be two original reflections on Our Lady of Fatima and her Most Holy Rosary that will be posted on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Other commentaries will follow thereafter. The message of Our Lady, however, is paramount.

Finally, I ask your prayers for Dr. Paul A. Byrne, who is trying to save the life of yet another victim of the medical industry's manufactured, profit-making myth known as "brain death. Please see hHospital Declares Woman to be "Brain Dead" to Remove Her Life Support Even though She is Still Living.  It is well past time for anyone concerned about truth to stop supporting the vivisection of livng human beings who have been deemed "brain dead" even though their bodies are fully functioning and, on so many occasions, can actually communicate with their eyes and their hands to those around them. Once again, please pray for Dr. Byrne and for Taquisha McKitty of Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Columbus Brought the Cross of Christ to the Americas

Today, October 12, 2017, is the five hundred twenty-fifth anniversary of Christopher Columbus's planting the Cross of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the island of San Salvador.

How diabolical it is that that the work of Columbus is rejected today by ignoramuses who hate the fact that he brought the Catholic Faitih to the Americas.

Republished: On the Feast of The Theokotos

Today is the Feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Council of Ephesus (431 A.D.) declared Our Lady to be the Mother of God. This is a doctrine that that the devil particularly hates, which is why he has raised up all manner of Protestant sects to attack it with a fury, requiring us to defend the doctrine of the Divine Maternity of Our Lady with all of the graces that she sees fit to send us through her loving hands as the Mediatrix of All Graces.

As Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., explained in The Light of the World, Volume II:

"Fifteen hundred years have passed since Nestorius, a Patriarch of Constantinople, launched the heresy which taught that the person of Christ was different from the person of the Son of God. Nestorius asserted that Mary did not conceive nor bring forth the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, but only the man Christ. According to his teaching she was not the Mother of God, not a God-bearer, but only the mother of a mere man, in whom God dwelt only as in a temple.

A few years later after the beginning of the Nestorian heresy, a council was assembled at Ephesus (431 A.D.), which proclaimed that Mary had given birth to Jesus, who was, at one and the same time, God and man, having two natures but one person. God does not live in Him merely as in a temple, but the man Jesus is at the same time God. Mary is mother, not only of the humanity of Christ, but of the Son of God also. She is the Mother of God. The people of Ephesus awaited the decision of the council hall were opened and the decision was made known, the people greeted the Fathers with great rejoicing and accompanied them to their dwellings with flaming torches, crying out: 'Mary is the bearer of God; Mary is the Mother of God.'

Today, fifteen hundred years later, we make the same joyful confession. "Mary is the mother of Jesus, the Son of God. The Gospel recounts an incident of His childhood during which He first refers to His divine origin. When Jesus was twelve years old, Joseph and Mary went to Jerusalem to offer sacrifice. 'When they returned, the child Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and His parents knew it not.' They believed Him to be in the company of relatives. But they were mistaken. After a long and anxious search they found Him in the Temple, sitting among the doctors of the law. 'And His mother said to Him: Son, why hast Thou done to so us? Behold Thy father and I have sought Thee sorrowing.' This rebuke shows the concern of a mother who has borne suffering with love. But Jesus meekly answers: 'Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?' He refers to His Heavenly Father, for He is Son of God. He was conceived, not by the power of man, but by the power of God (Offertory). When the angel had first brought the message to Mary, she had answered: Behold the handmaid of Lord; be it done unto me according to thy word" (Luke 1: 38). And at her word, the only-begotten Son of God was made flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mother. We pray tribute to this mystery at the Communion, when we confess, 'Blessed is the womb of the Virgin Mary, which bore the Son of the eternal Father.' Blessed art thou, O holy Mother of God, who wert united to the Son of God in a most intimate union when thou didst bear Him in thy womb. "Mary provided the body for the Son of God, and he in return Christ filled the soul of Mary with the fullness of His spirit. Mary became wholly absorbed in Him and became like Him. She became united to Him in a most intimate union. 'Alleluia, alleluia. Virgin Mother of God, He whom the whole world cannot contain, enclosed Himself in thy womb, being made man, Alleluia.' 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.' " 'As the vine, I have brought forth a pleasant odor, and my flowers are the fruit of honor and riches' (Epistle). The blossoms on this vine are the precious virtues of faith and humility which the Virgin exhibited when she received the message of the angel. She was resolute in her attachment to her virginity: "I know not man" (Luke 1: 34). Yet she is obedient to the will of God and speaks her fiat: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done unto me according to thy word" (Luke 1: 38). "My flowers are the fruit of honor and riches," Christ the Lord. "There shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse," Mary, who is sprung from the house of David; "and a flower shall rise up out of his root," Christ, the Son of Mary (Gradual). Humanity and divinity are united in this one person. 'Come over to me, all yet that desire me, and be filled with my fruits' (Epistle). Mary does not keep her child for herself; she bequeaths Him to us when He is born at Bethlehem, when He is offered in the Temple, and when He offers Himself up on the cross. She gives Him to us again daily in Holy Communion. Mary has borne Christ for us. Together with her Divine Son, she has given us salvation and an abundance of grace. She stands even today at the throne of God as our advocate and or all-powerful intercessor, armed with irresistible intercessory power, the mother of all those who are in the state of sanctifying grace. "We renew our faith in the mystery of Mary's divine motherhood. 'Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.' God is thy child, having taken His humanity from thy flesh. " 'Come over to me . . . and be filled with my fruits,' for it is Christ Jesus whom I give you. He was first given to us when we were reborn through baptism: He is given to us today at Mass and Holy Communion: 'Hath He not also with Him given us all things?' (Rom. 8: 32.) Since Mary has given us all things through Christ, we today express our gratitude to her." (Father Benedict Baur, O.S.B., The Light of the World, Volume II, B. Herder Book Company, Saint Louis, Missouri, 1954, pp. 440-442.)

Yes, I am still writing part three of "Jorge's Intellectually Dishonet Defense of the Indefensible." The article is taking such a long time as it requires great care in order to make various points. It may very well be the case that two intervening articles, including one on the one hundredth anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in two days, will appear befoe it is that the next original article links events in these inter-related worlds in order to demonstrate that Antichrist is lining up his minions in the counterfeit church of conciliarism to provide "theological" cover for his minions in civil government in the United States of America and elsewhere in the world. All the more reason to pray fervently to the Mother of God, especially in this month of October, dedicated as it is to her Most Holy Rosary. A blessed Feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all!

Given Us From Heaven Above: The Most Holy Rosary

We must never tire of reminding our fellow Catholics that Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary is, after the perfect prayer, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the most powerful prayer we have to make reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world as we seek the conversion of all men to the true Faith, the Catholic Faith, before they die and to fight the heresies of Modernity in the world and Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.

We must promote the Rosary and pray it with fervor and devotion. Our Lady implored us at Fatima to pray the Rosary daily. How can we refuse her?

Finally, as noted in the past two days now, there is an urgent need for non-tax-deductible financial gifts to be made. Thank you.

Dianne Feinstein Leads A New Inquisition, Aided by Richard Joseph Durbin

It was one month ago today, September 6, 2017, that President Donald John Trump's nominee to serve on the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Mrs. Amy Coney Barrett, a graduate of Notre Dame Law School, was on the receiving end of an modern anti-Catholic inquistion by United States Senator Dianne Emiel Goldman Feinstein Blum, aided by the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Catholic, United States Senator Richard Durbin, and a "non-practicing Buddhist," United States Senator Mazie Hirono. This has been on my "to do" list for the last month, and I will have a follow-up article soon.

By the way, a notice was included two days ago concerning the necessity of non-tax-deductible donations at this time. One reader from overseas sent thirty dollars, for which we are very grateful. Unfortunately, our current expenses far exeed that generous donation. We could use at least twenty such donations at this time. Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Victims of A World Shaped By One Lie After Another

This is a brief commentary on the Las Vegas massacre.

Please continue to pray for the sous of those killed, the recovery of those wounded, and the consolation of their family members.

Remember to pray for the conversion of the United States of America, which is awash with .

Please pray for the repose of the soul of my late Uncle Edward, who would have turned one hundred years old today, October 4, 2017m had he not died on Sunday, March 20, 2011, the Second Sunday of Lent.

Finally, completely unexpected expenses require me to ask those who have the means and the desire (and either have never donated in the past or have not done so for a long time) to make a non-tax-deductible financial gift to do so rather promptly. Thank you.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Francis of Assisi, pray for us.
