Don't Place Your Bets on Brett

Although not exactly by “popular demand,” this commentary, which was delayed by the threats us that are as yet ongoing, is about the nomination of Judge Brett Michael Kavanaugh to serve on as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

It is my hope to have the next original article on this site posted by Thursday or Friday. Thank you for your patience during our own present trials, which we accept as a just chastisement for our sins. Please continue to pray for us.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Alexius, pray for us.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Shields Us Witih Her Love and Care

[The next original article for this site is almost ready for publication. As the new commentary involves legal citations and a great deall of careful explanation, it has taken much time to compose. Only one more section remains before I can proceed to post the commentay, which I truly hope, baring any more problems with the man who has been tormenting us, later today.]

The Commemoration of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is celebrated today, Monday, July 16, 2018, represents what tremendous love that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has for us by sending us His Most Blessed Mother to give us a sacramental by which we are clothed in the garment of her Brown Scapular, which serves as a particular protection at the moment of death if we have been faithful to all of the conditions of our enrollment. We must use the shield of Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Brown Scapular to defend us against all of the attacks of the devil in our lives, especially as we seek to protect ourselves from the contagions of conciliarism, including the insidious lie of false ecumenism.

Our Lord has permitted His Most Blessed Mother to give us so many aids to get home to Heaven--the Rosary, the Brown Scapular, the Miraculous Medal, the Green Scapular, devotion to her Immaculate Heart as part of her Fatima Message.

We must wear our Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel constantly as we bear witness as best we can that we have been given a loving Mother in Heaven who intercedes for us to live in such a way in this passing, mortal vale of tears that we will always be ready to die and have her pleading for us nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen."

Let us continue to pray for each other and for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal as we shield ourselves in Our Lady's garment of the Mount Scapular and pray with fervor and devotion her Most Holy Rosary every day. I beg your prayers also for our daughter on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of her Confirmation.

A blessed Commemoration of Our Lady of Mount Carmel to you all!

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

Saint Simon Stock, pray for us.

Saint Henry the Emperor Was Ever Intent on Spreading the Holy Faith

Great progress on the next original article for this site yesterday and last evening when our daughter disovered one of our three guinea fowls had been shot in the leg with a "bb" pellet, causing the bird to limp. This is no "accident." The security system is thus an urgent need now as the man who has threatened us is bent on getting his way with us. Lega authorities are "handcuffed" at this time. We have put Saint Philomena on the job to take those "cuffs" off and for justice to be done. All according to the will of God.

Today, the Eighth Sunday after Pentecost, is also the commemorated feast of my own Confirmation patron saint, Saint Henry the Emperor.

Saint Henry the Emperor was a superb exemplar of the Social Reign of Christ the King who sought to foster peace among men by promoting the missionary work of Holy Mother Church in parts of central and eastern Europe near the end of the First Millennium. He knew that Catholicism was the one and only foundation of personal and social order, seeking at all times to honor Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen.

May we plead with him this day and every day to help us to see the world more clearly through the eyes of the Catholic Faith as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, He Who is the King of every man and every nation on the face of this earth without any exception whatsoever, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Henry the Emperor, pray for us.

Update and Republished Reflection on Saint John Gualbert

Although internet service was restored on Tuesday morning, we have been entirely consumed with the threats made against us. All else is pretty much on hold for time being.

The man who threatened us was released from jail on Monday after being given a formal criminal trespass notice, a violation of which results in automatic arrest. Enterprising little man that he is, however, he staged a stunt yesterday morning, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, the Feast of Saint Pius I, that involved his children running on his property on the pretext of looking for a lost cat that was supposedly "wild."

One of the children, a seventeen year-old girl, was trying to get close to a pen where our daughter keeps her goat does. The girl was wearing a backpack that she has never worn before. There is no doubt in our minds--or those of our neighbors who witnessed this stunt--that this was an attempt to put some kind of poison into the goat pen. The supposedly "wild" cat was seen being carried away on the back of the neck of the aforesaid teenaged girl a short distance from the roadway where their father had parked his car to oversee the matter.

Law enforcement officials were called. The deputy who spoke to us said that we needed to get a "game camera," which I did by using funds donated for that purpose three days ago now. As the situation is deteriorating rapidly, though, we have been further advised to purchase en entire wireless home security system to provide twenty-four hour coverage of the grounds. This can't prevent someone from carrying out foul deeds, but it can sure capture such a person in the act of committing them. The deputy who spoke to us said, "We prosecute from these cameras every day." What a commentary on the world in which we live, a world without Christ the King and His true Church.

Thus, I am afraid that we have to raise an additional five to six hundred dollars over and above what has been donated thus far. The additional amount will be used solely for purposes of purchasing what is well-reviewed home security system. We have a neighbor who would install the system this very afternoon if I am able to raise the funds to purchase it.

Additionally, a friend wrote to say that I should get a twelve gauge shotgun. However, my back is so terrible now that the thrust of the recoiling would place me straight on the ground and into a hospital. That having been noted, I suppose that the time has come to purchase a means to protect ourselves with a weapon.

Obviously, this is all uppermost in our prayers now. We are praying for the conversion of the man and his family. We are praying to be kept safe. Above all else, we are praying to do will of God as we pursue justice without vengeance and as we rely upon the most powerful weapon of all, Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary. We are in Our Lady's loving hands and in the folds of her mantle as we accept this cross that has been fashioned for us by the loving hand of God from all eternity. This is a chastisement for our sins, and we accept it as such while admitting there is a good deal of human stress and concern that is very natural for weak vessels of clay.

Please remember us in your prayers, and we thank those who can see fit to help us with non-tax-deductible financial gifts at this time. I hope to have time on Friday to complete my next article. All I can do is to beg your understanding as this problem has consumed us for the better part of two weeks.

Thus it is that I offer a revised reflection on the holy life and work of Saint John Gualbert that was written some years ago now.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint John Gualbert, pray for us.

Saints Nabor and Felix, pray for us.

Update on Current Penances

Although I no longer write the series of travelogues that were a feature on this site about ten years ago, suffice it to say that penance is indeed better than ever. We are very grateful for the penances that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus sees fit to sends us as they are the means by which we can make a bit of satisfaction for our sins. Deo gratias!

Confirmations of a Different Sort

[Update on Friday evening, July 6, 2018: I am sorry for the delay in pubishing my next article, which is indeed being written and may turn out as long as the one published on Monday, July 2, 2018, the Feast of the Vistitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Commmemoration of Saints Processus and Martinian . I hope to be able to complete the article for posting on Monday, July 10, 2018.

[It has, however, been within the Providence of God for an anti-Catholic bigot to issue a direct threat against our lives, mine in particular. Law enforcement officials are taking the threat very seriously. Please pray for us.

[Finally, it has been six or seven months since I last made a general appeal to the few remaining readers on this site for non-tax-deductible financial gifts. Necessity compels me to do so now. Although I am not under any delusion as to the response to this appeal, I do appreciate whatever consideration those who are favorably disposed to my work can give to this request. Thank you. Viva Cristo Rey! Viva La Virgen de Guadalupe!]

This commentary, which deals with the retirement of Associate Justice Anthony McLeod Kennedy along with related issues, turned out to be much longer and more detailed than I had planned. However, I decided to give this topic the “full treatment” as I write for the long-term in the belief that such commentaries will help readers in the future once the agitations of the moment have passed.

A blessed Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all!

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saints Processus and Martinian, pray for us.

On the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary: Magnificat

[A very long original commentary will be posted moments after this revised reflection is published.]

Today is the magnificent feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin, Saint Elizabeth, and her preborn Divine Son’s preborn Precursor, Saint John the Baptist.

This date, July 2, marks the end of the period of Our Lady’s Visitation, which began on April 2, lasting until the day after the octave day of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. Our Lady’s perfect Charity for her cousin and her Divine Son’s Precursor should prompt us to perform the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy at all times, making sure as well to proclaim the Holy Name of Mary, she whom all generations are duty bound to call blessed, as the Mother of God who made possible our salvation by her perfect fiat to the will of God the Father at the Annunciation and who is the Queen of Heaven and on earth, the very Immaculate Conception who prays for us now and at the hour of our deaths.

A blessed Feast of the Visitation of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saints Processus and Martinian, pray for us.

The Laver of Redemption: The Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ

This is a revised reflection that is offered to the readers of this site today, the Feast of the Most Precious Blood Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Most Precious Blood of Jesus is our laver of redemption, as our own sins, each and every single one of them, caused It to be shed during the events of Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

It was the thought of coming into contact with the horror of our sins, the very antithesis of His Sacred Divinity, that caused Our Lord to sweat droplets of His Most Precious Blood in His Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane.

It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to be shed so terribly during His cruel scourging at the Pillar.

It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to be shed as He was crowned with thorns to mock His Sacred Kingship over men and their nations.

It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to continue to be shed from the scourging and the crowning as He walked up the steps to be judged by the Roman procurator, Pontius Pilate. Droplets of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus are still venerated by pilgrims as proceed on their knees up the Sancta Scala in Rome right across from the Basilica di San Giovanni Laterano.

It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood to be shed as Our Lord’s hands and knees were crucified. It was our sins that caused the Most Precious Blood of Jesus to be shed unto Its last drop as He hung on the gibbet of the Holy Holy Cross for three hours, flowing in a torrent as Our Lord’s wounded side was pierced with the lance of Saint Longinus.

What is It that is poured out onto our souls when they are Absolved by a true priest in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance?

The Most Precious Blood of Jesus.

The Most Precious Blood of Jesus strengthens us when we receive It worthily in Holy Communion.

It was the shedding of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus on the wood of the Holy Cross that ratified the New and Eternal Covenant He inaugurated at the Last Supper, thereby obliterating forever the old sacrifices of the blood of bulls and goats and lambs in Temple worship, thus superseding he Old Covenant of the Jews.

We must celebrate this great Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, which was pumped through Our Divine Redeemer’s Sacred Body by His Most Sacred Heart, the very font of Mercy, with gratitude that we, sinners who caused It to be shed in torrents under the most unspeakably cruel conditions, are bathed unto our redemption by Its merits.

May we never take the Most Precious Blood of Jesus for granted.

The next original article, which deals with issues related to the retirement of United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Anthony McLeod Kennedy, is almost ready for publication. I am sorry for the delay in getting the next commentary completed.

A blessed Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ to you all!

Experts in Dismissing Papal Primacy

This is an additional revised commentary for the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, focusing on how the conciliar revolutionaries are ever seeking to find new ways to dismiss papal primacy.

Work continues on my little "send-off" to Anthony MacLeod Kennedy.

Our Lady, Queen of the Apostles, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

A Reminder: True Popes Never Need to "Convert" to the Catholic Faith

Today's republished article is a  revised version of a commentary published on July 3, 2016, at a time when the quite boring spectacle "will they or won't they" formally "reconcile" with the counterfeit church of conciliarism was in the news again.

Oh, who are the "they"?

Who else?

The Society of Saint Pius X, whose leaders still continue on their march to oblivion by seeking to "reconcile" with a "pope" who is no pope at all but a figure of Antichrist and thus an enemy of the sanctification and salvation of souls and thus of all social order.

I will, though, have a new reflection on the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul for your consideration by Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the latest, and hope that my sendoff to the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Anthony MacLeod Kennedy will be published late this afternoon.

A blessed Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul to you all.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.
