This commentary has been updated with a bit of additional information.
This commentary is lengthy, and I suppose that the appendix could serve as a brief stand-alone commentary of its own.
Anyhow, the title is self-explanatory.
The first update to this commentary was made around1:34 p.m., Central Standard Time, on Monday, February 8, 2021, the Feast of Saint John of Matha, to include a news story about a man in New York City who died within twenty-five minutes of receiving being vaccinated for "protection" from the Wuhan/China/Chinese/Covid-19/Coronavirus. Well, I suppose that death "protects" one from getting the virus. The mendacity of the public health officials is remarkable to behold.
As I intend to work on book projects more than write for this site in the next few months, I will not be writing about the impeachment trial of a private citizen until after the farce is over. There is much to comment upon, of course, but suffice it to say for the moment that there is nothing to be gained to make any comment until the "trial," such as it is, has reached its denouement. although perhaps it should be noted that, even though I am not following the proceedings live and have no intention whatsoever to do so, I think that there is a very slight chance of conviction if the former president's lawyers continue along a path that has, according to reports, enraged him and caused those who understand the whole proces to be unconstitutional to wonder if those lawyers can recover from what has been described as a haphazard and aimless presentation yesterday, Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the Feast of Saint Cyril of Alexandria and the Commemoration of Saint Apollonia. I don't know about you, but I have had enough with the business and am trying to prepare for the beginning of Lent one week from today, that is, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
Finally, there is need for non-tax-deductible financial gifts if any reader who has the means to do so and has not donated lately would like to donate at this time.
Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint John of Matha, pray for us.
