Republished: Tender Mercies

The tender mercies of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus are an inexhaustible treasure that our own hearts, stained by so many sins and our own disordered self-love and lack of meekness and humility, can fathom only faintly.

Republished: Enthroning the True and Unsurpassed Love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus In Our Homes

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, that perfect fountain of unmatched love for us fallen creatures, was formed out of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. There is a perfect communion of love that exists for all eternity between these two Hearts, the One beating within the Body of the God-Man and the other beating within the body of His Most Blessed Mother.

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: Remedy for the Cruelty of an Evil Age

We live in the midst of evil times. Yet it is that we are only at the beginning stages of the absolute descent into madness that must occur when men and their nations do not know the tender mercies of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Modernity “liberated” itself from the sweet yoke of the Cross of the Divine Redeemer in a convulsive manner.

Preparing for the Great Ecumenical Merger of 2017

While I am still working on the article that was meant to be published today, I did shift gears yesterday to work on a different piece.

The current commentary discusses the announced plans for what can be called the "great ecumenical merger of 2017" as Jorge Mario Bergoglio travels to Sweden to commemorate the five hundredth anniversary of the drunken and lecherous Martin Luther's posting of his ninety-five theses on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany. There is a very good commentary on this matter at Novus Ordo Watch Wire. However, there are a few things that I wanted to emphasize, and this it is that I present to you this article.

The gorilla business will have to do wait until tomorrow. The theological gorillas and guerillas were crying for some attention today.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saints Peter, Marcellinus and Erasmus, pray for us.

June 1, 2016, Update

As I lost access to the internet last evening as a result of weather conditions and the fact that I had to reduce my monthly allotment of gigabytes in order to save some money, which means that I am put in the "slow lane" of the internet "highway" whenever those who have premium accounts want access at wil, the hour has become too late to complete my next article.

Thanking you for your patience, it is my hope to have that article completed by late this afternoon or early this evening. The commentary will deal with a variety of matters, including the madness surrounding the gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo and the continuing madness exhibited daily by Senor Jorge and his cast of pagans. Honorable mention will be given as well to the madness of naturalism that has turned actual insanity (believing one to be something that he is not) into a "civil right."

This is all a chastisement, and it is not getting better any time soon.

Our Lady of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for us.

Revised: Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May

This is a revised reflection in honor of the of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was instituted by Pope Pius XII in 1954, thus moving the feast of Saint Angela Merici from May 31 to tomorrow, June 1. This feast is observed this year on this date in those chapels that adhere to the general calendar in place at the time of the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958, while it is observed on Saturday, June 4, 2016, in those chapels using 1954 general calendar of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church.

Every person on the face of this earth is called to honor Mary our Immaculate Queen. Every nation on this earth is called to give public honor to the Queen of Heaven and of Earth, Our Lady, she who made possible our very salvation by her perfect Fiat to the Holy Will of God the Father at the Annunciation. It is fitting that we end her month, the month of May, with this great feast as we hope end our lives with the help of her prayers so that we can enjoy an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Paradise as we give all adoration and worship to the Most Blessed Trinity and give her our due love, honor and gratitude.

Our Lady, Queen of Heaven and of Earth, pray for us. Saint Petronilla, pray for us.

One Scandal Too Many?

Although there is not much new in this commentary that I did not say in the 1990s during the time of William Jefferson Blythe’s presidency, I thought it important to put the latest scandal involving the Clintons into a bit of perspective lest the few remaining readers of this site come to believe that Hillary Rodham Diane Clinton’s “E-mail-gate” is going to be her downfall at long last. Perhaps now will be the time that the political careers of the “two for the price of one” Clintons will hit the skids. Having believed in the past that whichever Clinton scandal was breaking at the time would do them in once and for all, I am a very skeptical that we are witnessing the Clintons’ “end game.”

Even if it is their time to “Say goodnight, Gracie,” we are facing an onslaught of evil as never before seen in salvation history. The forces of Modernity in the world and Modernism in the counterfeit church of concilarism have coalesced to produce countries filled with practical atheists and neo-barbarians. The Western world, including the United States of America, has a great price to pay for its crimes against God and His immutable moral laws. This is why we need to live more penitentially as we seek to offer everything we suffer up to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

All Adoration, Praise and Thanksgiving To Our Eucharistic King

Today is the great Feast of Corpus Christi. This article, written a long time ago now and slightly revised over the years, is an exhortation to the readers of this site to spend more and more time in adoration before Our Beloved before His Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament if this is at all possible in your area.

Adoration is the first end of prayer, including the perfect prayer that is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in which Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ becomes Incarnate under the appearances of bread and wine when a men man, uttering mere words over the elements of the earth, calls Him down from Heaven. We must adore God with our whole mind, soul, heart, body and strength.

To spend time before the Most Blessed Sacrament in prayer is a foretaste of Heavenly glories. Our goal in life is to behold the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost for all eternity in the company of Our Lady, Saint Joseph, our Guardian Angels (each of whom beholds the Beatific Vision as he tries to guide us home to Heaven!), our patron saints and all of the members of the Church Triumph, whose ranks we hope and pray will include our dearest and nearest relatives and friends. We must make time for the foretaste of Heavenly glories by means of profound Eucharistic Adoration in this life is we want to enjoy the glories of Heaven itself for all eternity.

There are infused graces that are flooded into the souls of those who spend time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, those souls who are conscious of the need to make reparation for their sins as they give thanksgiving to God for all of the favors, both spiritual and temporal, they have received and who recognize the need to petition God for the favors we need, both spiritual temporal, starting with an earnest petition each day that we be given the grace to have a holy and sacramentally-provided-for death. Our Lord stands ready to send us this infusion of graces through the loving hands of His Most Blessed Mother, who is mystically with us when we pray before her Divine Son’s Real Presence. All we need to do is to arrange our lives in such a way as to make time for prayer before Our Eucharistic King and Lord.

We must, of course, be conscious of our need to get to the Sacrament of Penance on a weekly basis in order that our reception of Our Lord’s Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in Holy Communion will be worthy and fervent. The frequent, devout and worthy reception of Our Lord in Holy Communion gives strength even to those souls who have been steeped in one sin after another, those souls who have refused to surrender to the devil’s attacks upon them over the years:

And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool. If you be willing, and will hearken to me, you shall eat the good things of the land. (Isaias 1: 18-19.)

We must ask Our Lady on this great feast day of Corpus Christi, which, of course, is celebrated as an Octave in those chapels that use the Missal of Saint Pius V before it was “reformed” by the revolutionary efforts of Annibale Bugnini and Ferdinando Antonelli in the 1950s, to help give us more and more graces to recognize the Most Sacred Heart of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, beats for with great love in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

We must ask Our Lady to help us approach the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart with such fervor and devotion that we will consider it as a great loss if ever there is a day we are unable to get a true offering of Holy Mass and unable to spend at least some time with her Divine Son, Who is the Prisoner of Love in tabernacles today just as He was the Prisoner of her Virginal and Immaculate Womb from the time of His Incarnation to the day of His Nativity.

We must also thank Our Lord and His Most Blessed Mother for our true bishops and true priests who make it possible for us to have the Sacraments in this time of apostasy and betrayal, remembering to pray that more young men will have the courage to renounce the world and study to become an alter Christus so that he, acting in persona Christi in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, can make Our Lord present in the Most Blessed Sacrament and to bless us with that Most Blessed Sacrament on great feast days such as this one.

A blessed Feast of Corpus Christi to you all!

There should be another new article by Saturday dealing with a subject that kept me rather busy during the 1990s when writing for The Wanderer: the Clintons.

Today should be devoted entirely to gratitude to Eucharistic King for the great gift of Himself in Holy Communion and our ability worship Him in His Real Presence even though He sitteth at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. What a mystery of love. Words fail.

Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, pray for us.

Jorge's Exhortation of Self-Justification Before Men, part ten, THE END!

With apologies for the long delay--and for the length of this commentary, I hereby present to you the conclusion of my series on Amoris Laetitia and breathe quite a sigh of relief that I am done with this trash.

Although I will have another article or two later in the week after the Feast of Corpus Christi on Thursday, May 26, 2016, which is usually the Feast of Saint Philip Neri and Pope Saint Eleutherius, this commentary has consumed most of my time in the past six days, although the car difficulties experienced on Friday (and will not be resolved until the Feast of Corpus Christi) did delay things somewhat. Well, penance is better than ever in 2016! All to thee Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!

Updated and Revised: Problems in Modern Marriage, by Mr. Michael Creighton

Mr. Michael Creighton submitted an excellent study on "Modern Problems in Marriage" that was published on this site nearly four years ago. It was in light of the issuance of Amoris Laetitia by Jorge Mario Bergoglio on March 19, 2016, the Feast of Saint Joseph, that Mr. Creighton undertook a revision of his study in various parts to provide a few more examples than in his previous study.

A fuller explanation of the purpose of Mr. Creighton's study can be found in my own foreword prior to its text.

Part ten of "Jorge's Exhortation of Self-Justification Before Men" will be published within ten minutes of this guest commentary.

I thank Mr. Creighton for his hard work and for making his study available to the readers of this website.
