Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face: Holiness Unalloyed

Marie-Frances Therese Martin was born to the holiest of parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, who endeavored to shield their children as much as possible from the influences of the world. The sacrifices made by Louis and Zelie Martin produced five vocations to the consecrated religious life. Zelie Martin's prayers from eternity after her death assisted her husband as he raised one canonized saint and four other daughters who served Holy Mother Church as brides of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The simplicity and love of the Little Flower teaches each of us to pursue holiness as befits redeemed creatures, seeking the things of Heaven in this life so that we may spend our Heaven doing good here on earth. Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face was raised in a family that stressed the importance of withdrawing from the world. Louis and Zelie Martin were very protective of their daughters, making sure to instill within them a firm commitment to the Virtue of Modesty. Indeed, Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face, Marie-Frances Celine Martin, was shocked at the immodesty that had overtaken France with the Allied bombing of Normandy forced the cloistered Carmelites of the Carmel out of their cloister and into the world in June of 1944. She noted this in a letter to Mother Agnes Mary that was dated July 7, 1944: "After fifty years of eremetical living, to find myself all of a sudden uprooted and thrown into the midst of the world, with veil raised, is a true martyrdom for a recluse like me. It seems to me as if we're in a station where everybody is crowding around and intermingling. We sleep fully clothed on benches; we take our meals in haste, standing up in the dark; we look with astonishment and grief at the feminine styles stripped of all dignity." (As quoted in Celine: Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face, Sister and Witness of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, by Father Stephane-Joseph Piat, O.F.M., p. 130.) What would Saint Therese and Sister Genevieve say today about the feminine attire that is considered "modest" and "acceptable" in Catholic chapels all across the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide where some version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition is offered or simulated? They were not been approving, and that is because their holy parents taught them Catholic right from wordily wrong. Why is this so difficult for many traditionally-minded Catholic parents to understand, accept and abide by today? Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!

Guardians To Light Our Way to Heaven

Although original articles are on hold for a variety of reasons now (it is possible that time will be found in the next few days for a video presentation), I am able to republish, albeit sometimes after the fact, a few of the devotional articles that are revised in minor ways each year.

This reflection on our Holy Guardian Angels is brief. Our devotion to and reliance upon our Guardian Angels, however, must be lifelong.

Our Lady, Queen of the Angels, pray for us.

Holy Guardian Angels, pray for us.

Saint Jerome: Putting Love of God Above All Else

This republished article is a brief reflection on Saint Jerome, the great great Dalmatian who put the love of God above all else. Consider just one quotation from the work of this prolific writer and translator of the Bible into the Latin Vulgate:

"It is a smaller sin to follow evil which you think is good, than not to venture to defend what you know for certain is good. If we cannot endure threats, injustice, poverty, how shall we overcome the flames of Babylon? Let us not lose by hollow peace what we have preserved by war. I should be sorry to allow my fears to teach me faithlessness, when Christ has put the true faith in the power of my choice." (Saint Jerome, Prologue to the Treatise Against the Pelagians.)

How many traditionally-minded Catholics who are as of yet attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism who know for certain that it is not good to praise false religions or to enter places of false worship or to treat the "clergy" of false religions as having a mission from the true God of Divine Revelation to serve and save souls refuse to do what is good, that is, to defend the honor and glory and majesty God and His Sacred Deposit Faith in order to indemnify the author of Summorum Pontificum, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, whose successor, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, has laid bare for all the world to see that he is "worried" by those who "want to return to the past"?

We must always defend what we know to be true as servants of the greater honor and glory of God. Saint Jerome did. What's our excuse?

Finally, I ask for your prayers for my dear wife, Sharon, who turns fbut a mere fifty-three yearrs of age today. Thank you.

There might be an original commentary published tomorrow. The past week has been filled with family duties, which take precedence over all else.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Michael the Archangel, Defend Us In Battle, Now and Always

Today is the Feast of the Dedication of the Church of Saint Michael the Archangel and the Commemoration of the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost.

We need Saint Michael's intercession more now than ever before. We need his help in our own daily battles with the forces of the world, the flesh, and the devil. And, of course, we need his help with to remain faithful to the true Faith without making any concessions at all to conciliarism or its false officials who blaspheme God so regularly, so boldly, so repeatedly and with a chorus of bobble heads making excuses for them in their sins against the First and Second Commandments.

Our Lady, Queen of the Angels, pray for us.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us and keep us!

Saint Wenceslaus: A King Prostrate Before THE King, Christ the King

oday is the feast of the great Saint Wenceslaus, King of Bohemia, who was murdered by his own brother, who hated the fact that that he, King Wenceslaus, was everything that he, Boleslaus, hated, namely, pious and devoted, a servant of Christ the King, a just ruler who ruled to advance the common temporal good in light of man's Last End. Boleslaus hated the fact that his brother, our dear saint, loved the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and baked the Eucharistic bread with his own hands. This should give us pause for reflection in our own circumstances today when so many of our own relatives and one-time friends and acquaintances might hate us simply for being Catholic, no less Catholics who try, despite our sins and failings, to adhere to everything taught by Holy Mother Church from time immemorial. Saint Wenceslaus was a king who was prostrate before THE King, Christ the King, in life who adores him in Heaven face to face.

I will have commentary on the farce that took place on Monday, September 26, 2016, the Feast of North America Martyrs, at Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Isalnd, New York, in a few days. Other matters are keeping me from doing anything other than providing slightly revised versions of my devotional reflections. Be patient. I will have a commentary. Oh, quite by the way, I refused to watch or to listen to the debate. I have decided that I no longer need to see naturalists vying with each other as to see whose brand of naturalism is better. Each form of naturalism is evil. Period.

It is Christ or chaos, good readers. Don't ever forget that as behold the chaos at the present time.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Wenceslaus, pray for us.

We Must Do No Less Than The North American Martyrs

Today, Monday, September 26, 2016, is the Feast of the North American Martyrs, the eight Jesuits who gave up their lives for the Holy Faith in what are now parts of Canada and upstate New York between 1642 and 1649, and the Commemoration of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian.

This brief reflection speaks volumes about the contrast between the life and martyrdom of the eight men killed between 1642 and 1649 and the conciliar "saints," including Mother Teresa of Calcutta, whose "canonization" twenty-two days ago is the subject of an originally article published late last night (scroll below for the link).

Each of the North American Martyr (Isaac Jogues, Rene Goupil, Jean Lalande, Gabriel Lalemant, Noel Chabanel, Anthony Daniel, Charles Garnier, and John de Brebeuf) shed their blood to Catholicize the upper reaches of North America. They were not interested in "inculturating" the Catholic liturgy with the pagan superstitions and barbaric practices of the Iroquois. They were concerned only about attempting to convert the heathens to the true Faith and to plant the seeds for the conversion of the land in which their noble missionary work had taken them. Can we do any less than they? We must seek to "keep it Catholic" at all times as we seek to plant the seeds for the conversion of this nation to become the Catholic States of America.

Incompatible With True Sanctity

Things move at a snail's pace on this site these days as a result of problems beyond my control. The latest of these problems involved getting our minivan repaired again, something that required me to make multiple trips to auto parts stores to get what a mechanic friend of ours needed. Penance is better than ever in 2016.

Although it took me three weeks to get around the subject, this commentary concerns the supposed "canonization" of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the latest entry into the conciliar pantheon of idols.

A republished article on the North American Martyrs, whose feast we celebrate today here in the United States of America, will follow shortly.

Our Lady of the North American Martyrs, pray for us.

"Civilized" Monsters

Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro and Jorge Mario Bergoglio live in protective bubbles that prevent anything from bursting the protective bubbles in which they can content themselves with their inter-related falsehoods.

This is but a brief effort to provide a bit of Catholic perspective on these bubbles to those believe that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.

Saint Matthew the Apostle: From Caesar's Collector of Tribute To God's Collector of Souls

Today is the Feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called Levi from his duties as a collector of tribute for Caesar to follow Him. Levi quit his position as a tax collector to become a collector of souls for God and His true Church.

Saint Matthew wrote His Gospel to convince his fellow Jews to accept Our Lord as the Divine Redeemer and to convert to the true Faith, Catholicism. This is quite a contrast with the work of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who esteems Talmudic Judaism as an instrument of "justice" although it denies the Sacred Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ and wages warfare upon those who seek to restore the Social Reign of Christ the King, to say nothing of the fact that many of its rabbis, including his pal Abraham Skorka, support abortion and perversity under cover of the civil law. Quite a difference. It's the difference between fidelity and apostasy, between Catholicism and conciliarism.

Today is also Ember Wednesday in September, a day of fast for all Catholics between the ages of twenty-one and sixty and a day of partial abstinence from meat for all Catholics seven years of age and older. Let us make good use of these Ember Days to restore rigor and vigor to our interior lives as we seek to make reparation for our sins by gladly accepting whatever crosses are sent our way in order whatever merit we might earn by do doing to the Throne of the Blessed Trinity as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The next original article is in the process of being written. It will comment on the way in which the "civilized" monsters of Modernity and Modernism continue to live in a fantasy world of their making in order to "save the planet" as the slaughter of innocents at all stages of life reaches new depths of monstrous depravity. Yes, both Jorge Mario Bergoglio and Barack Hussein Obama will be mentioned as they were quite busy on the Feast of Saint Eustachius and his Companions yesterday.

Openly Admitting What Has Been The Case From The Beginning

Amoris Laetitia has done the cause of truth a tremendous service by forcing at least some of those who have not thus far seen with clarity that the countefeit church of conciliarism is not the Catholic Church and that its agents of Antrichrist have waged a relentless war on the nature of dogmatic truth ever since the "election" of Angelo Roncalli as "Pope John XXIII" on October 28, 1958, the Feast of Saints Simon and Jude to see at least one admit that a conciliar "pope" has formally embraced heresy.

Alas, although Bergoglio has made matters clearer than before, the adversary has been using his agents in the counterfeit church of conciliar to so condition Catholics to accept heresy, blasphemy, sacrilege and apostasy on an incremental basis that most of those attached to the structures of this false religious sect in the mistaken belief that it is the Catholic Church will simply shrug their shoulders as have most Anglicans when their "bishops" have endorsed some outrageous practice or proposition.

We need to pray for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter!

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Januarius, pray for us.
