Yes, I am working on my next article, but it seems to be taking longer to do less. This could have something to do with the the amount of "free" time that I have available to write after the reading and research necessary for original articles.
In the meantime, however, I offer those who still access this site a reflection Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort's exhortations to avoid worldliness by becoming friends of the Cross and by being truly devoted to Our Lady as the consecrated slave of her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
Finally, although the news of His Excellency Bishop Daniel Lytle Dolan’s death on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, which was, although not on the general calendar, the Feast of Our Lady of Good Counsel, is well known by now, I am posting this news here in the case there are any readers of this site who do not undertake a lot of Internet “surfing.”
Bishop Dolan’s daily and Sunday sermons were inspirational, his knowledge of the lives of saints was vast and imparted with great filial affection for them. Perhaps most importantly, of course, Bishop Dolan offered Holy Mass with exquisite perfection and his persevering commitment to the true state of the Church Militant on earth during this time of apostasy and betrayal helped many Catholics, including us, to accept the fact of the papal vacancy following the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958. He was very devoted Our Lady, especially through her Most Holy Rosary and by promoting Saint Louis de Montfort's True Devotion to Mary and The Secret of the Rosary.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.
Bishop Dolan’s death came just seven weeks and a day after that of Bishop Andres Morello+ and five years to the day after the death of +Bishop Robert Dymek+, who had offered his life to Our Lady for a true pope when he learned in December of 2016 that he had a heart condition that he chose not to treat to make of himself an offering for the restoration of the Principle of Unity represented by a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter.
Also, it was on April 27, 2019, that Father Joseph Francis Collins+ (one of The Nine) died and it was on April 26 or 27, 2021, that Father Marco Rui Alonso+ died during his sleep in Germany. May these priestly intercessors, despite any and all earthly differences they may have had amongst themselves, intercede for us who remain here in the Church Militant on earth to have a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter before too long. It will be the restoration of a true pope that will bring an end to most of the conflicts that have arisen within traditional circles in which some of us have participated all too eagerly. May Our Lord have mercy on us all.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
