Eleven Years of Apostasy, and Counting

This is a republished reflection on Pope Saint Gregory the Great, whose feast is celebrated today, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, that draws principally upon Pope Saint Pius X's Iucunda Sane, March 12, 1904.

After unexpected interruptions throughout the past week and computer glitches that almost erased the entirety of this commentary's text an hour ago, here is a commentary about how the world has fallen into the abyss because, to quote the Prophet Osee: "For there is no truth, and there is no mercy, and there is no knowledge of God in the land.

This is not a commentary about the presidential election as such, but it does touch upon how world leaders, including those in the United States of America, are committed to the promotion of evil under the cover of the civil law to a greater or lesser extent.

This contains a few reflections for your consideration on the Way of the Cross that might be useful for the last three weeks of Lent. These reflections were written many a moon ago and have been revised slightly over the past three decades. 

The next original commentary is crawling along. However, it should be completed today, Laetare Sunday, barring any of the unexpected interruptions that were experienced each day last week. It is Lent, after all, and penance is quite indeed better than ever in 2024!

This article in honor of Saint John of God, whose feast is celebrated today, was written seventeen years ago now. A lot of hard work went into its completion. I believe it to be one a piece that will give great consolation to those who have not as of yet read it.

Saint John of God was little understood during his life. It was the case that even his longtime spiritual director, Saint John of Avila, who knew him fairly well, did not understand his decisions. Saint John of God suffered from all manner of slanders and even beatings in his life. He suffered slanders even up to the point of his own death. It was enough for him to be understood by God. It should be enough for us as well, especially during this time of apostasy and betrayal when so many of us are misunderstood and castigated by relatives and friends and acquaintances as being "outside of the Church" for our refusal to make any concessions to conciliarism or its false shepherds. We should be grateful that we are as misunderstood and hated and calumniated as was Saint John of God!

A new commentary was being written about eight hours ago when I simply konked out in my chair before awakening four hours later. It will get completed later today.

The next original article should be published within twenty-four hours as it was delayed yesterday by entirely unforeseen circumstances.

A short essay written under by a conciliar "cardinal" under pseudonym of "Demos II" has prompted what turned out to be a rather lengthy exposition of his errors, the foremost of which is his obvious belief that the "Second" Vatican Council and the teachings of Karol Josef Wojtyla/John Paul II and Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI should guide the selection of the next universal face of apostasy to succeed Jorge Mario Bergoglio. 

By the way, I totally forgot to note that February 20, 2004, was the twentieth anniversary of this website going "live" online. Thus, the work of Christ or Chaos, which began as a printed publication in September of 1996, is its twenty-eighth year. Although I can no longer write as much as I did in the past, I do what I can as my time permits. Thank you for reading this site, and I thank all our benefactors, past and present, for making this work possible, noting that it would really terrific if a few more montly benfactors were to come along within the Providence of God.

The next original article on this will not take as long to appear as this current one. (Once again, I am not offering any further comments about the lawfare being used against former President Donald John Trump or the presidential election untl after Easter. While individual issues, such as illegal immigration, will be discussed as events warrant, I am avoiding all dog and pony shows, includuing whatever decision Judge Scott McAfee renders in the case of Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, until after Easter. Our focus must be on prepariing for a good Passiontide, not on the distractions posed by the world,

[Update on Saturday, March 2, 2024: I am working on a commentary about an essay published under the pseudonym of "Demos II," who is a conciliar "cardinal," outlining expectations for the next head of what he thinks is the Catholic Church while making his criticism of "Pope Francis" very clear. As I want to be concise and precise in my commentary on the essay, I need to take a bit of time to choose only a few examples of how the "cardinal's" belief that the "Second" Vatican Council and the magisterium of the conciliar "popes" prior to Jorge Mario Bergoglio had been faithful representations of the Catholic Faith.

[The "cardinal" also wants to see a return to the "hermeneutic of continuity," which is, even though he may not understand or accept it, is nothing other than repackaged dogmatic evolutionism. One cannot use an entity's false principles as a means to combat those principles' logical conclusion, and Jorge Mario Bergoglio is nothing if not their very expression. It is my hope to have the commentary published on the Third Sunday of Lent. Thank you.]

The secular "pope," Donald John Trump, has pontificated on the matter of in vitro fertilization, and as is the case with all other false pontiffs, his pronouncement is erroneous. Error can never be the foundation of anything good. Yet it is that people keep closing their eyes while the difference, if there ever has been any, between the supposed "lesser evil" and the "greater evil" becomes indistinguishable.

Sober up.

Stop believing in the political equivalent of the tooth fairy.
