Saint Alphonsus de Liguori: Giving Us What For To Help Us Go To Heaven

Today is the Feast of the great Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, the Patron of Moral Theologians. It was over eight years ago now that I recorded each of the Sunday sermons of Saint Alphonsus for the "Save Thy Souls" section of Traditional Catholic Sermons.org. It was a very sobering experience as I recognized that Saint Alphonsus was speaking directly to me, condemning my sins and my lukewarmness. Ouch. He certainly gave me what for, and I am grateful that he did so. This particular reflection has been enlarged to include three complete sermons composed by Saint Alphonsus de Ligouori.

Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, the founder of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists), was particularly emphatic in teaching us that we must avoid sins of human respect. That is, we can show no partiality or favoritism to those in power if they are doing things that put the temporal or, more important, the eternal welfare into jeopardy. This applies to the likes of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who blasphemes God on a regular basis and considers it his duty in the name of "mercy" to enable hardened, unrepentant sinners in their lives that are leading to them eternal perdition, and to most of his "bishops," men who believe that the sheep are their enemies and that they can stonewall and intimidate the sheep into remaining silent about real and documented abuses of power and real and documented violations of the integrity of the Holy Faith:

" And when there is question of the divine honour, we should not be frightened by the dignity of the man who offends God; let us say to him openly: This is sinful; it cannot be done. Let us imitate the Baptist, who reproved King Herod for living his brother's wife and said to him: 'It is not lawful for thee to have her'--Matt., xiv. 4. Men indeed shall regard us as fools, and turn us into derision; but, on the day of judgment they shall acknowledge that they have been foolish, and we have shall have the glory of being numbered among the saints. They shall say: 'These are they whom we had some time in derision. . . . . We fools esteemed their life madness, and their end without honour. Behold how they are numbered among the children of God, and their lot is among the saints'--Wis., v. 3, 4, 5. (Sixth Sunday After Easter: On Human Respect.)

Several new articles are in the process of being written. It is going to be a busy week for me.

There Is More To Life Than Just Doctrine?, part one

Another very late (or early) hour on the Feast of Saint Peter’s Chains and the Commemoration of the Holy Machabees.

“Archbishop” Guido Pozzo of the conciliar church’s Ecclesia Dei Commission gave an interview recently, a translation of which appears on Novus Ordo Watch Wire. As Signore Pozzo made a number of incredibly false and contradictory assertions, I have taken a bit of time to handle just a few of his statements, concentrating particularly on his contention that the “doctrinal” discussions with the Society of Saint Pius X have hinged upon disagreements on matters that up until now have been considered bedrock conciliar dogma (religious liberty, false ecumenism, and relations with non-Christians). This commentary concentrates on “religious liberty,” which Ratzinger/Benedict termed a “sacred right” in his “World Day of Peace Message” for 2011.

Pozzo also said that there is “more to life than just doctrine.”

Go tell that to the martyrs who gave up their lives in defense of just one article of Our Lord’s Sacred Doctrine.

Truly incredible.

Revised: In The Company of Jesus

It is early on Sunday, July 31, 2016, the Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. Time was taken late last evening to revise and expand this commentary on the valiant solder in the Army of Christ, a soldier who did battle with the very errors of Martin Luther that are the foundation of much of the counterfeit church of conciiarism and have been celebrated openly by that anti-Jesuit, Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

Saint Ignatius laid down his military armor in front of an image of Our Lady in the Benedictine monastery in Montserrat, Spain, on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 1522, becoming a soldier in the army of Christ the King. Saint Ignatius of Loyola was always in the "company of Jesus," always seeking to advance the cause of the Holy Faith.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola attracted men of character and determination of purpose right from the beginning, men who were serious about retarding the advances of the Protestant Revolution and seeking the conversion of pagans in far away lands. The devil hated this good work of the Society of Jesus, which he why he sought to corrupt the sons of Saint Ignatius in the Twentieth Century by means of the various propositions of Modernism. The most corrupt of them all now, of course, is Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

We need to pray to Saint Ignatius and his company of Jesuit saints in Heaven, each of whom was so tenderly devoted to the Mother of God, to help us to be as brave and faithful and gallant as they were in defending the Sacred Honor of Christ the King and of Mary our Immaculate Queen. Our Lady of the Society of Jesus, pray for us. Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.

Work proceeds on the next article, which will a rather extended commentary on the influence that those who deny the Sacred Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ are attempting to exercise now that the pending entry by the Society of Saint Pius X into "full communion" with the heretical blasphemers and merchants of sacrilege in the counterfeit church of conciliarism appears to be reaching its conclusion. It will be after this particular commentary that the one dealing with the two presidential acceptance addresses will be completed, a project that is going to take a bit of time. Thank you in advance for your patience as I ask those who support the work of this site and have the means to be of assistance but have not made a non-tax-deductible donation in the past to consider doing so at this time.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Ignatius of Loyola, pray for us.

Jorge and the Dems: See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Just Promote It As Good

As the only time that I have in a day—at least on most days—to write without interruption is after 10:00 p.m., it has become increasingly difficult to stay up as late as is required to complete articles. Thus it is that the number of articles has decreased as I simply cannot “bounce back” from overnight postings and then attend to the next day’s duties while still having enough of mind—well, what little of it I have left—to get articles done. I do, however, apologize for the decrease in the number of articles on this site.

Anyhow, this current article shows just a few parallels between the lord of Modernism and his counterparts in the false opposite of the naturalist “left” here in the United States of America. Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s address to the civil leaders of Poland wherein he lectured them about “good memory” and “bad memory” (what was that I wrote about Ding Dong School thirty-eight and one-half months ago now?) is very similar to the “transformational” agenda of Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro and the woman he wants to succeed him to continue his program of lawlessness, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton.

This does not mean that my criticism of Donald John Trump has lessened. Of course not. I will deal with his address of Thursday, July 21, 2016, the Feast of Saint Praxedes, and Madame Defarge’s address of last evening, which I did not watch or listen to given a shortage of available gigabytes, by the middle of next week.

Six In A Row

[Midnight Update, Wednesday, July 27, 2016, the Feast of Saint Pantaleon: As we were away most of the day yesterday, it is not possible to complete a brief commentary on the Mohammedan execution of a true priest, Father Jacques Hamel, on the Feast of Saint James the Greater (Jacques is the French name for James) in the Church of St Étienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen, France, which is where Saint Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Although little more can be said about Father Hamel's brutal murder that was not contained in "The Adversary Always Mocks His Own Revolutions," the commentary that is being prepare at this time emphasizes the simple fact that it is the very conciliar spirit of "openness" to those who are the sworn enemies of Christ the King and His Holy Catholic Church that has made these tragedies a commonplace feature throughout Europe. The lords of conciliarism have wanted to show their "acceptance" of those who worship the devil without realizing that their very own false church is diabolically-inspired and a source of agitation and discord, not of the "peace and reconciliation" that its false "pontiffs" have preached Falsehood and error produce division and bloodshed.

The truths and true sacramental rites of the Catholic Church places men's souls in a state of true peace which the world cannot give, namely, the state of Sanctifying Grace wherein the very inner life of the Most Blessed Trinity is meant to abide habitually in our souls, which have been redeemed by the shedding of every single drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour's Most Precious Blood during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday.

The tragic execution of Father Hamel means that two other commentaries (one about the ongoing freak show celebrating evil and propagating fantasies about Hillary Rodham Diane Clinton, the other about Donald John Trump's Judeo-Masonic speech of self-redemption six days ago now) will have to be delayed. Although I am not watching the proceedings of the organized crime family of naturalism of the false opposite of the naturalist "left" as I do not have enough gigabytes on my phone or for the computer to do so, I do read the reports about bilge being produced in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and that is more than enough for me to explain what I have explained so many times before: anyone who supports a single, solitary instance in which an innocent human being can be killed as the first object of a moral act is disqualified to hold any position in public life, whether elected or appointed. Then again, I went to great efforts to do explain that in "Six In A Row" two days ago now. However, I will have a brief commentary on the Democratic National Convention by Thursday, which will be followed by a very carefully written article about the evils promoted in Donald John Trump's acceptance address, noting also the influence that Talmudists have in his various business enterprises and in his campaign. Christ the King loses no matter who wins a presidential election.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Pantaleon, pray for us.]

Below is the original introduced to "Six In A Row," which was posted about forty-six hours ago now:

My life would be a lot easier if I wrote in soundbites. I do not write in soundbites, and thus articles such as this one take a very long time to complete.

The purpose of this website is to provide readers with a bit of material that they might not find in one place, which is why I try to take the time that is necessary to complete long commentaries such as this one, which deals with the fact that the selections of two baptized Catholics, Timothy Michael Kaine, who remains in perfectly good standing in the structures of the counterfeit church of concialiarism despite his support for the chemical and surgical execution of the innocent preborn, and Michael Richard Pence, who apostatized while at Hanover College in Indiana in 1975, represent different strands of the ethos of the heresy of Americanism.

There is a lot of political history in this commentary, and it is my hope that it helps to give a perspective on the fact that Americanism has been and remains an important building block and guiding star for the conciliar worldview and its rejection of the Social Reign of Christ the King. Included in this commentary is the fact that the anti-Catholic Know-Nothing Party was founded in 1845 by the first Talmudist to have served in the United States House of Representatives, Lewis Charles Levin. Americanism and Talmudism are as intricately related to each other as are Talmudism and concilairism.

My commentary on Donald John Trump’s acceptance address will follow in a few days, which means I will have insufficient time to comment on the meeting of miscreants and deviants who have gathered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the home of the monstrous baby-butcher and killer of women known as Kermit Gosnell, to celebrate Gosnell’s bloody trade, especially by heralding the barbaric work of Planned Barrenhood until after the event is completed. Poor Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s visit to Poland for “World Youth Day” will be the subject of commentary, again after the fact of its completion, at some point next week.

Now, it is time for me to get about five hours of sleep.

Do Not Expect Justice From Those Who Are Unjust, part two

[Friday, July 22, 2016, Feast of Saint Mary Magadlene: There is no time--and less physical ability--to do justice to the proceedings of the last two nights at the convention of the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist right. A commentary should appear on this site by Monday, July 25, 2016, the Feast of Saint James the Greater, also known as the Moorslayer.

[Suffice it for the moment to note that I listened to the Republican Party presidential nominee's speech for a little while last night on my phone before turning it off when his support when he repeated his own personal support for the "LGBT community" as he had done after the terrorist attack at an establishment of moral reprobation in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday, June 12, 2016, the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint John Gualbert. Evil gets mainstreamed and legitimized while even many Catholics nod their heads in agreement, and this is to say nothing of having a practicing sodomite speak from the podium earlier in the evening.

[It is time for us sinners to follow the example of Saint Mary Magdalene by doing penance for our sins. Many sufferings await this country no matter which naturalist is elected. Our elections remain farcical contests between two competing sets of naturalists to see which brand of naturalism can "solve" that caused by the very sins they promote, enable and celebrate.

[Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Mary Magdalene, pray for us.]

As I wanted to complete this commentary, which is yet another effort to put contemporary events in the perspective of the Holy Faith, before writing about the narcissistic effort on the part of Rafael Edward Cruz to proclaim himself the sole defender of a constitution that is against defenseless against the misuse of its own text, there is simply insufficient time and less physical ability well after Midnight on the Feast of Saint Praxedes to do so.

Oh, the bombastic, self-seeker from Texas, a man who boasted in Iowa that he was glad that he only had two children instead of seventeen, will come in for some attention in a few days after I prepare commentaries on the sad story of Michael Richard Pence’s defection from the Catholic Faith, which has been highlighted by The New York Times, and the events that will transpire this evening in Cleveland, Ohio. Suffice it for the moment to say that Donald John Trump, who has come in for criticism on this site for a number of reasons, made a very shrewd decision to give Cruz the rope that he used to hang himself.

Again this is all very good political theater. However, none of it can save a nation that needs its King to be enthroned and its Queen to be honored by all men at all times.

We pray for the good the nation, awash as it is in a sea of error, as the forces of evil will continue to advance no matter what happens on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, and we must be ready to face an era of open persecution sooner or later. There is no way out of this mess except to embrace the suffering of the moment and to entrust all to Christ the King through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, yes especially by praying as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Praxedes, pray for us.

JULY 18, 2016, UPDATE: FEAST OF SAINT JEROME EMILIANI and the COMMEMORATION OF SAINT MARGARET, MARTYR:

Work on the next commentary, which discusses some recent events in light of the life and truly charitable work for the poor undertaken by Saint Vincent de Paul to advance the Holy Faith, outside of which there is no salvation and without which there can be no true social order, is well underway. As a great deal of transcription was done late last night in the overnight hours before resuming this afternoon, the additional textual commentary needs more time than I have the energy to devote to it. However, I should have it completed by early this evening.

Suffice it for the moment to remind the few remaining reades of this site that the farce of naturalism that is playing out before our eyes makes for very good theater. In reality, however, naturalism remains naturalism, and thus it is that these words, written by Father Edward Leen fifty-three years ago, are as relevant now as there were duing the height of the Cold War:

A shudder of apprehension is traversing the world which still retains its loyalty to Jesus expressing Himself through the authority of His Church. That apprehension has not its sole cause the sight of the horrors that the world has witnessed in recent years in both hemispheres. Many Christians are beginning to feel that perhaps all may not be right with themselves. There is solid reason for this fear. The contemplation of the complete and reasoned abandonment of all hitherto accepted human values that has taken place in Russia and is taking place elsewhere, causes a good deal of anxious soul-searching. It is beginning to be dimly perceived that in social life, as it is lived, even in countries that have not as yet definitely broken with Christianity, there lie all the possibilities of what has become actual in Bolshevism. A considerable body of Christians, untrained in the Christian philosophy of life, are allowing themselves to absorb principles which undermine the constructions of Christian thought. They do not realise how much dangerous it is for Christianity to exist in an atmosphere of Naturalism than to be exposed to positive persecution. In the old days of the Roman Empire those who enrolled themselves under the standard of Christ saw, with logical clearness, that they had perforce to cut themselves adrift from the social life of the world in which they lived--from its tastes, practices and amusements. The line of demarcation between pagan and Christian life was sharp, clearly defined and obvious. Modern Christians have not been so favorably situated. As has been stated already, the framework of the Christian social organisation has as yet survived. This organisation is, to outward appearances, so solid and imposing that it is easy to be blind to the truth that the soul had gradually gone out of it. Under the shelter and utilising the resources of the organisation of life created by Christianity, customs, ways of conduct, habits of thought, have crept in, more completely perhaps, at variance with the spirit of Christianity than even the ways and manners of pagan Rome.

This infiltration of post-Christian paganism has been steady but slow, and at each stage is imperceptible. The Christian of to-day thinks that he is living in what is to all intents and purposes a Christian civilisation. Without misgivings he follows the current of social life around him. His amusements, his pleasures, his pursuits, his games, his books, his papers, his social and political ideas are of much the same kind as are those of the people with whom he mingles, and who may not have a vestige of a Christian principle left in their minds. He differs merely from them in that he holds to certain definite religious truths and clings to certain definite religious practices. But apart from this there is not any striking contrast in the outward conduct of life between Christian and non-Christian in what is called the civilised world. Catholics are amused by, and interested in, the very same things that appeal to those who have abandoned all belief in God. The result is a growing divorce between religion and life in the soul of the individual Christian. Little by little his faith ceases to be a determining effect on the bulk of his ideas, judgments and decisions that have relation to what he regards as his purely "secular" life. His physiognomy as a social being no longer bears trace of any formative effect of the beliefs he professes. And his faith rapidly becomes a thing of tradition and routine and not something which is looked to as a source of a life that is real.

The Bolshevist Revolution has had one good effect. It has awakened the averagely good Christian to the danger runs in allowing himself to drift with the current of social life about him. It has revealed to him the precipice towards which he has was heading by shaping his worldly career after principles the context of which the revolution has mercilessly exposed and revealed to be at variance with real Christianity. The sincerely religious--and there are many such still--are beginning to realise that if they are to live as Christians they must react violently against the milieu in which they live. It is beginning to be felt that one cannot be a true Christian and live as the bulk of men in civilised society are living. It is clearly seen that "life" is not to be found along those ways by which the vast majority of men are hurrying to disillusionment and despair. Up to the time of the recent cataclysm the average unreflecting Christian dwelt in the comfortable illusion that he could fall in with the ways of the world about him here, and, by holding on to the practices of religion, arrange matters satisfactorily for the hereafter. That illusion is dispelled. It is coming home to the discerning Christian that their religion is not a mere provision for the future. There is a growing conviction that it is only through Christianity lived integrally that the evils of the present time can be remedied and disaster in the time to come averted. (Father Edward Leen, The Holy Ghost, published in 1953 by Sheed and Ward, pp. 6-9.)

As has been noted in the past, no, it's just not this former professor of political science and former activist in political campaigns (three of my own and two presidential campaigns) who writes these things. I have only attempted to give voice, however poorly, to the simple Catholic truth summarized so clearly by Pope Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique on August 15, 1910:

Here we have, founded by Catholics, an inter-denominational association that is to work for the reform of civilization, an undertaking which is above all religious in character; for there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact. (Pope Saint Pius X, Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910.)

Father Edward Leen was simply giving expression in 1953 to simple, timeless and immutable truths that true pope after true pope had reiterated time and time again in the last three centuries now. No Catholicism, no social order. It's that simple.

No, this does not mean we go to hide in a cave somewhere, but it does mean that Catholics should stop projecting their hopes and fondest desires into the hearts and minds of naturalists in the belief that "things" will get better. Catholics must act as they see fit in an election year. This does not mean, however, that one has to suspend rationality to believe that a man who has said that "Planned Parenthood does good things" and whose daughter is a complete Zionist is going to make a country "great again" when the sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance continue to multiply daily,

All is doomed to failure and disappointment if one does not put First Things first as no one who has spoken thus far at the Republican National Convention understands these words written four hundred twenty years ago now:

The more closely the temporal power of a nation aligns itself with the spiritual, and the more it fosters and promotes the latter, by so much the more it contributes to the conservation of the commonwealth. For it is the aim of the ecclesiastical authority by the use of spiritual means, to form good Christians in accordance with its own particular end and object; and in doing this it helps at the same time to form good citizens, and prepares them to meet their obligations as members of a civil society. This follows of necessity because in the City of God, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a good citizen and an upright man are absolutely one and the same thing. How grave therefore is the error of those who separate things so closely united, and who think that they can produce good citizens by ways and methods other than those which make for the formation of good Christians. For, let human prudence say what it likes and reason as it pleases, it is impossible to produce true temporal peace and tranquillity by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity. (Silvio Cardinal Antoniano, as quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)

God the Holy Ghost saw fit to instruct us in Sacred Scripture, including in the passage from the Book of Proverbs:

[34] Justice exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable. (Proverbs 14: 34.)

Christ the King will not be mocked. He will suffer the sins of men so that they and their nations might be brought to repentance. He is not, however, indifferent that which Him to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death on the wood of the Holy Cross, sin, and that wounds the Church Militant on earth and impedes the pursuit of the true common temporal good of men and their nations.

Total trust in the Mother of God and her Fatima Message as we pray as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits to console the good God and to make reparation for our own sins, each of which has worsened both the state of the world-at-large and the state of the Church Militant here on earth in this time of apostasy and betrayal.

This time of chastisement will pass. The Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be made manifest.

True, we may not be alive to witness this triumph. We can, however, plant the seeds for it by our patient endurance of the crosses of the moment as we make whatever sacrifice necessary and endure whatever calumny, humiliation and hardship that is required in order to make no concessions to falsehoods, whether of Modernity or Modernism, of any kind at any time for any reason.

Let us lift high the Cross of Christ the King, He Who is the King of men and their nations even though most men do not realize this and even though most nations seek to suppress all mention of His Holy Name and mock any possibility that He is their King, the King Who will come in glory to judge the living and dead.

The Adversary Always Mocks His Revolutions

Today’s new commentary, which is being published in the early hours of the Feast of Saint Camillus de Lellis and the Commemoration of Saint Symphorsa and her Seven Sons concerns the terrorist attack that took place in Nice, France, on Thursday evening, July 14, 2016, the Feast of Saint Bonaventure.

A brief commentary on the latest chapter in the ongoing deadly attacks on police should appear by tomorrow morning, the Feast Saint Vincent de Paul, whose spirit will not be the animating principle of either of the two conventions of naturalism that occur this week and next.

Obviously, I will have commentaries as time permits, including one that will focus on Michael Richard Pence, the Governor of Indiana. Governor Pence is a baptized Catholic who apostatized while a student at Hanover College in 1977 when he was eighteen years of age. He is now the third Republican vice presidential selection to be a baptized Catholic and the second (Sarah Heath Palin was the first) to have left the Faith. The other, Paul Davis Ryan, is a complete product of conciliarism; Palin and Pence are its victims. Ah, more on that score in a few days.

Saint Camillus de Lellis, pray for us.

Saint Symphorsa and her Seven Sons, pray for us.

Revised: Shielding Us With Her Love and Care

We must use the shield of Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Brown Scapular to defend us against all of the attacks of the devil in our lives, especially as we seek to protect ourselves from the contagions of conciliarism, including the insidious lie of false ecumenism.

This great feast today, of course, represents what tremendous love that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has for us by sending us His Most Blessed Mother to give us a sacramental by which we are clothed in the garment of her Brown Scapular, which serves as a particular protection at the moment of death if we have been faithful to all of the conditions of our enrollment. Our Lord has permitted His Most Blessed Mother to give us so many aids to get home to Heaven--the Rosary, the Brown Scapular, the Miraculous Medal, the Green Scapular, devotion to her Immaculate Heart as part of her Fatima Message. We must wear our Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel constantly as we bear witness as best we can that we have been given a loving Mother in Heaven who intercedes for us to live in such a way in this passing, mortal vale of tears that we will always be ready to die and have her pleading for us nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen."

Let us continue to pray for each other and for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal as we shield ourselves in Our Lady's garment of the Mount Scapular and pray with fervor and devotion her Most Holy Rosary every day. I beg your prayers also for our daughter on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of her Confirmation.

A blessed Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel to you all!

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

Saint Simon Stock, pray for us.

I intended to have a commentary dealing the deadly attack that took place in Nice, France, on Thursday evening, July 14, 2016, the Feast of Saint Bonaventure, by this time. Circumstances have delayed that commentary until tomorrow. I apologize for the delay.

However, time was taken after midnight to revised and expand this relatively brief reflection that is being offered to you today.

Ever Intent on Spreading the Holy Faith

Once again, I want to honor my own Confirmation patron saint, Saint Henry the Emperor, on his feast day.

Saint Henry the Emperor was a superb exemplar of the Social Reign of Christ the King who sought to foster peace among men by promoting the missionary work of Holy Mother Church in parts of central and eastern Europe near the end of the First Millennium. He knew that Catholicism was the one and only foundation of personal and social order, seeking at all times to honor Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. May we plead with him this day and every day to help us to see the world more clearly through the eyes of the Catholic Faith as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, He Who is the King of every man and every nation on the face of this earth without any exception whatsoever, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

A brief commentary on last night's terrorist attack in Nice, France, will be posted by tomorrow morning, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We pray for the souls of those killed and for the recovery of the wounded, but we remember as well that modern France was born in a bloody revolution on July 14, 1789, and it was been suffering the effects of that anti-Theistic religion ever since.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

Saint Henry the Emperor, pray for us.

Saint Cunegunda, pray for us.
