On the Feast of Saint Wenceslaus: A King Who Prostrated Himself Before THE King

Today is the feast of the great Saint Wenceslaus, King of Bohemia, who was murdered by his own brother, who hated the fact that that he, King Wenceslaus, was everything that he, Boleslaus, hated, namely, pious and devoted, a servant of Christ the King, a just ruler who ruled to advance the common temporal good in light of man's Last End. Boleslaus hated the fact that his brother, our dear saint, loved the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and baked the Eucharistic bread with his own hands. This should give us pause for reflection in our own circumstances today when so many of our own relatives and one-time friends and acquaintances might hate us simply for being Catholic, no less Catholics who try, despite our sins and failings, to adhere to everything taught by Holy Mother Church from time immemorial. Saint Wenceslaus was a king who was prostrate before THE King, Christ the King, in life who adores him in Heaven face to face.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Saint Wenceslaus, pray for us.

Republished: We Can Do No Less Than The North American Martyrs

Today, Monday, September 26, 2016, is the Feast of the North American Martyrs, the eight Jesuits who gave up their lives for the Holy Faith in what are now parts of Canada and upstate New York between 1642 and 1649, and the Commemoration of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian.

This brief reflection speaks volumes about the contrast between the life and martyrdom of the eight men killed between 1642 and 1649 and the conciliar "saints". Each of the North American Martyr (Isaac Jogues, Rene Goupil, Jean Lalande, Gabriel Lalemant, Noel Chabanel, Anthony Daniel, Charles Garnier, and John de Brebeuf) shed their blood to Catholicize the upper reaches of North America. They were not interested in "inculturating" the Catholic liturgy with the pagan superstitions and barbaric practices of the Iroquois. They were concerned only about attempting to convert the heathens to the true Faith and to plant the seeds for the conversion of the land in which their noble missionary work had taken them.

Can we do any less than they?

We must seek to "keep it Catholic" at all times as we seek to plant the seeds for the conversion of this nation to become the Catholic States of America.

Although it was my intention to have part two of the series about the "Correction" that was issued to "Pope Francis" by "conservative" Catholic scholars ready for publication today, the work on my part one and a full day of attending to family errands make it impossible for me to do so. However, I will be back at the computer pretty much all day today, Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Finally, I learned last night, Monday, September 25, 2017, that our dear friend, Father Thomas Dignan, who had been the assistant pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford,, Texas, since his arrival there in 2004, died last night at 7:30 p.m., Central Daylight Saving Time. While we are greatly saddened by this news as we spent much time visiting with Father Dignan over the past eleven years whenever we made trips to the Houston, Texas, area (and during the times in 2007, 2009, and 2011 our former residence on wheels, the motor home, was parked at a campground in Sugar Land, Texas, for extended periods of time), we are nevertheless grateful to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for taking Father Dignan unto Himself after over sixty years of uncompromisingly zealous priestly service. He was eighty-seven years of age, and was ordained as as a priest for the Diocese of Bismark, North Dakota, in 1957.

In addition to his priestly zeal, including his great devotion, as you noted, to Holy Mass and to the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, Father Dignan was one of the most mechanically able priests I have ever met. We never ceased to be amazed at how Father Dignan, dressed his overalls, could be seen working on the roof of the Shrine or carrying one or more two-by-four pieces of lumber around the property. Yes, much like the One to Whom He had been conformed when He was orained to the priesthood, he loved working with wood. Indeed, he was a very skilled carpenter, and we have been told that his collection of tools was very impressive.

Above all else, of course, Father Dignan had a great zeal for the work of the Legion of Mary, which he replicated in the Houston area to the very best of his priestly ability, especially by going to hospitals and nursing homes throughout the Houston area. I am confident that Our Lady gave him all of her motherly assistance at the hour of his death, although, presuming the state of no soul after death, we will continue to pray for the repose of his immortal soul as we did shortly after receiving Father Campbell's e-mail before we commenced our Night Prayers last evening.

We may be poor materially, but we are very rich to have known Father Dignan and to know Father Campbell, no less to have had our sins forgiven and to have been fed with the very Bread of Life Himself from his priestly hands and of those of Father Louis J.Campbell, who has been the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine since 2002.

Father Dignan's quiet humility and his priestly dignity were truly inspirational. He was not concerned about empire-building or turf wars. He was concerned only about the honor and glory of God and the good of souls. He was one of the very finest priests I have ever known. Indeed, he was a gentle priest who showed kindness to everyone without fail.

I will endeavor to write a short personal reminiscence of Father Dignan in a day or two.

Please remember Father Dignan's immortal soul in your prayers, especially to the Mother of God through her Most Holy Rosary, and by having the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered by a true priest for the repose of his immortal soul.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

On The Commemorated Feast of Our Lady of Ransom

Given the work that I have been doing on my newest book project, original articles are at a standstill for a little while longer.

Indeed, I have come to the difficult and vexing problem of formatting the text of my forthcoming book, To Live in the Light of Eternity, Volume 1, and have to deal with the problems posed by page margins and the coordination of the pagination provided by the Table of Contents. Such technical matters may be quite easy for some. They are very difficult for this simpleton. It is my hope, though, to spend most of the Feast of Our Lady of Ransom, Tuesday, September 24, 2019, resolving these matters as the book itself is ready for publication.

Thus, you see, I have been very busy. There is as of yet, however, nothing tangible to present to readers at this time despite the work of recent days.

What I can present you, however, is a brief, republished reflection on the Feast of Our Lady of Ransom.

Our Lady of Ransom, pray for us.

Trump Being Swallowed By The Swamp He Promised to Drain

I am sorry that this commentary has taken so long to complete. However, my time is not my own, and the physical challenges that I have faced in the past nine weeks have slowed me down.

Nonetheless, however, this new commentary deals with the sad state of affairs in the world of naturalism, which is based upon the tragically false belief that one can be utterly indifferent to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in public affairs. To believe that one can combat the deep state forces of naturalism with some other kind of naturalism is to believe in the old Pelagian heresy of self-redemption.

Also, I want to call the attention of this site’s few readers to an important article that Dr. Paul Byrne has written: Judge rules Jahi McMath may not be dead. I will have more to say about Jahi McMath’s remarkable story at some point in the next week or ten days, and I will have the next installment on Bergoglio’s address last month to his fellow liturgical revolutionaries in Italy.

Finally, let us remember that we are living during a time of profound chastisements. Many people in Texas, Mexico, Florida, and the Caribbean, including the American Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands, have been hit very hard by recent natural disasters, which are being sent to us by the loving hand of God to chastise us so that we can make reparation for our sins by offering all to Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

May we continue to pray for those who have been killed by these recent storms and for those who have survived them, and may we beg Our Lady daily to be in a state of Sanctifying Grace and to be ever ready to make a perfect Act of Contrition for our sins.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

On The Feast of Saint Matthew: From Caesar's Collector of Tribute to God's Collector of Souls

Today is the Feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ called Levi from his duties as a collector of tribute for Caesar to follow Him. Levi quit his position as a tax collector to become a collector of souls for God and His true Church. Saint Matthew wrote His Gospel to convince his fellow Jews to accept Our Lord as the Divine Redeemer and to convert to the true Faith, Catholicism.

This is quite a contrast with the work of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who esteems Talmudic Judaism as an instrument of "justice" although it denies the Sacred Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ and wages warfare upon those who seek to restore the Social Reign of Christ the King, to say nothing of the fact that many of its rabbis, including his pal Abraham Skorka, support abortion and perversity under cover of the civil law. Quite a difference. It's the difference between fidelity and apostasy, between Catholicism and conciliarism.

The next article, which has been in abeyance since late Sunday evening, will be completed today. Family duties and the continued physical challenges that have been sent to me by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for my sanctification and salvation have slowed me down considerably in recent days. I thank you for your patience and ask you for your prayers.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Jorge Codifies His Irreversible Revolution/Jorge's Intellectually Dishonest Defense of the Indefensible, part three

[A republished reflection on the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary can be found by scrolling below.]

Jorge Mario Bergoglio issued a change to the conciliar code of canon law, Magnum Principium, on September 3, 2017.

This is a very lengthy look at what the Argentine Apostate wants to accomplish, including a brief history of some of the “translation battles” that, though unknown in the history of the Catholic Church, have been commonplace in the counterfeit church of conciliar church of conciliarism. Bergolio has mooted those battles by making the conciliar Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments but a mere clearinghouse for decisions made by the national “episcopal” conferences.

Now, although I hate to so, I must make an urgent appeal to the “vast” readership of this site for non-tax-deductible financial gifts now. I do after having made private inquiries that have not been answered as of yet, something that is very understandable. Nonetheless, though, the need right now is urgent, especially since the decision to discontinue the chiropractic treatments, which was made largely because of a lack of funds to pay for the cost of gasoline to visit our chiropractor, is coming back to “bite” me in the form of blessed penance.

Mind you, I do not mind the penance. Indeed, I need it. However, the treatments are necessary as it is very difficult to walk or to stand for any length of time without them.

Thank you for any consideration you can give this urgent appeal.

Reflections On The Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary in September

Today is the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary in September.

We are called to meditate on the Seven Dolors of Our Lady every day of our lives. While there are many good meditations on the sufferings of Our Lady, including those provided by the revelations of Anne Katherine Emmerich and the Venerable Mary of Agreda, the late Father Frederick Faber has given us much food for inspirational meditation in his The Foot of the Cross, published originally as The Dolors of Mary in 1857. Consider this brief excerpt from Father Faber's reflections:

"But let us make the world stand still, and see how it looks. If our common love for God, which is so poor, is irritated by the sight, what must Mary have suffered? For what is irritation to our weakness to her would be the most deep and transcending sorrow. God comes to His creation. It does not stir. It cannot. It lies in the hollow beneath Him, and has no escape. He comes in the beauty of a mercy, which is almost incredible, because it is so beautiful. But seemingly it does not attract the world. He draws nigh. Creation must do something now. It freezes itself up before His eye. He may have other worlds, more fertile, more accessible to Him, than this. In the spiritual tropics, where the angels dwell, He may perhaps be welcome. But not here. This is the North Pole of His universe. He shed His life's blood upon it, and it would not thaw. It is unmanageable, unnavigable, uninhabitable for Him. He can do nothing at all with it, but let His sun make resplendent colored lights in the icebergs, or bid the moon shine with a wanner loveliness than elsewhere, or fill the long-night sky with the streamers of the Aurora, which even the Esquimaux, burrowing in his hut, will not go out to see. The only difference is that the material pole understands its business. which is to make ice in all imaginable shapes; whereas we men are so used to our own coldness, that we do not know how cold we are, and imagine ourselves to be the temperate zone of God's creation." Our sins helped to thrust those Seven Swords of Sorrow through and through Our Lady's Immaculate Heart at various points during her life, including during her Divine Son's Passion and Death. We must resolve never to grieve her Immaculate Heart again as consider our joy and our privilege to live penitentially as the consecrated slaves to her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the same Immaculate Heart. (Father Frederick Faber, The Foot of the Cross, the Dolors of Mary.)

We can help to make reparation for our sins that have grieved the Immaculate Heart of Mary if we pray more and more Rosaries each day, if we help to propagate devotion to her Seven Dolors. Indeed, Our Lady promises us the following graces if we promote devotion to her Seven Dolors:

1) I will grant peace to their families

2) They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.

3) I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.

4) I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.

5) I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6) I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.

7. I have obtained (This Grace) from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

As a terrible sinner, I am counting on my own promoting of devotion to the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary to help me just a little bit at the moment of my Particular Judgment.

What about you?

An original article will be published within a few minutes of this republished article’s posting.

Finally, please remember the soul of the late Father John Joseph Sullivan, who was my seminary professor at Holy Apostles Seminary in the 1983-1984 academic year, on this day, which would have been his one hundred first birthday had he not died in May of 2000.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

A blessed Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.

Our Lady of Dolors, pray for us.

By This Sign We Will Conquer All The Enemies of Our Salvation

The Saviour of the world hung on the wood of the Holy Cross:

Ecce lignum Crucis, in quo salus mundit pependit (Behold the wood of the Cross, on which hung the Saviour of the world. (Adoration of the Cross, Good Friday Liturgy.)

The Cross of the Divine Redeemer was displayed prominently on street corners and in the nooks and crannies of every village in Europe during the era of Christendom. There is no "expiration date" on the Cross of the Divine Redeemer's relevance to the life of any man or of any nation.

We must lift high the Cross in our own daily lives and we must plant it firmly in the soil of our nation without any apology whatsoever as Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.

We must also remember that Our Lady stands at the foot of her Divine Son's Most Holy Cross in every true offering of Holy Mass just as she stood at the foot of the Holy Cross on Good Friday. She stands with us as we bear our own crosses in our daily lives. We must, therefore, seek the assistance of the Mother of God in lifting high her Divine Son's Holy Cross in our daily lives, praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit.

The cross is ever present in each of our lives, and for this we must say with Saint Francis of Assisi, Deo gratias!

Penance is the path to Heaven.

We do our penances by carrying our crosses with gratitude.

Isn't it great to be a Catholic?

Hail, O Holy Cross! Hail!

A blessed Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross to each of you.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Work on the next article continues.

Oh, by the way, have you seen that President Donald John Trump has made a deal with Senate Minority Leader Charles H. Schumer (D-New York) and House Minority Leader Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi to make Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's unconstitutional overreach called the "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" (DACA) permanent?

Looks like the stupid idiot in white owes the president an apology (this is tongue-in-cheek, by the way) as it was apparent that the apostate's criticism of Trump's rescinding of DACA was unfounded. Trump simply wanted Congress to make his predecessor's policy permanent.  Not so permanent, however, are Trump's campaign promises as he did not run by claiming that he would seek to codify DACA. I believe that he said quite the opposite.

Let me check:

"We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants," Trump said at a campaign event in August 2016, promising to end DACA as well as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.

That speech echoed the promise Trump made when he launched his presidential campaign on June 16, 2015. "I will immediately terminate President Obama's illegal executive order on immigration, immediately," he said at that time. (Trump's Past Statements on DACA.)

Oh well, I will put this on my lengthy "to do" list.

Hail, O Holy Cross!

Memorandum to Stupid Idiot Bergoglio

I was called away from the computer unexpectedly yesterday, the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, making the completion of my article about Jorge Mario Bergoglio's most recent change to the conciliar code of canon law impossible.

I did, however, decide to stay up beyond a reasonable hour to write one of the shortest articles ever to appear on this website.

The title is self-explanatory. The subject is stupid idiot Bergoglio's comments about President Donald John Trump's recent repeal of former President Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's "presidential directive" of November 21, 2014, that was undertaken in full violation of the Constitution of the United States of America and existing immigration laws that have been passed by the Congress of the United States of America.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
