This is a really, really really, really HUGE hint!!
White House spokesflack Daniel Pfeiffer, a graduate of Georgetown University, told those addicted to the Sunday morning news interview programs that the facts of the various scandals afflicting the administration of his boss, President Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, are "irrelevant." Perhaps now. Perhaps, Not later at the Particular Judgment. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us. Saint Rita of Cascia, pray for us.
As the text of this home page gets deleted every few months to make space for newer entries, this commentary is a slight elaboration on the points made in an update made yesterday on this page, thereby providing a "permanent home," if you will, for the comments.
This is an inspiring and at the same time soberly instructive commentary offered by Mr. Timothy A. Duff, the father of the late victim-soul, +Maria Cecilia Duff, R.I.P., who died from Pompe Disease at the age sixteen on Saturday, May 11, 2013. I thank Mr. Duff for the privilege of permitting to post this poignant and very helpful essay. Please do continue to pray for the soul of Miss Duff and for the needs of her parents and siblings at this time.
May 21 Update
Internet connection and computer problems succeeded to interrupt the writing of the article that I had intended to complete for today's posting. Even an attempt to write a very short article on another subject has come a cropper.
Prayers for the Victims and Survivors of the Tornadoes: Please keep the victims and the survivors of yesterday's deadly tornado in Oklahoma in your prayers. We do not know when the Master will come calling for us. We do not know when all of our earthly possessions, such as they are, will be swept away in a pile of garbage. We must be focused at all times on the fact that this very day could be our last here on earth and that all we own can be reduced to rubble in a matter of moments. Just keep close to Our Lady and stay in a state of Sanctifying Grace.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Our Lady, Help of Christians and Comforter of the Afflicted, pray for us.
Yet another effort was made yesterday, Pentecost Sunday, by Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis to disparage the "past" as a time when the Catholic Church was "too closed in" on itself as he exalted the "newness" of today. This is my feeble effort to respond to such madness. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Bernardine of Siena (whose feast is impeded this year because of Whit Monday), pray for us.
Pentecost Sunday Update and Articles, including Missing Saturday, May 18, 2013, Articles
Update: This page has been updated twice since Friday, May 17, 2013. I was shocked this afternoon to find that the page had somehow "rolled back" to where it was prior to around 1:00 a.m. yesterday morning, Saturday, May 18, 2013, the Vigil of Pentecost.
Anyhow, yesterday's original article, Don't Worry, Jorge, We Don't Take You Seriously As A Catholic In The Slightest, disappeared as well. Although I had found the article on a Polish website, the owner of the hosting company informed me in an e-mail that the problem was caused by my article being published at a time when the server was being moved. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Yesterday's revised article, Revised: By His Gifts We Can Know, Love, and Serve Him, was published at the same time as the lost article, which I do hope that the owner of the company who hosts this site can retrieve for me.
Pentecost Sunday, the
birthday of Holy Mother Church, the upon which the first pope, Saint
Peter, who was vivified as the Vivifier Himself, God the Holy Ghost,
descended upon him and Our Lady and the other Apostles (and the rest of
the disciples) gathered in the Upper Room in Jerusalem as they completed
their Novena to God the Holy Ghost ten days after Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ's glorious Ascension to His Father's right hand on
Ascension Thursday.
Saint Peter wasted no time in doing something that is forbidden in the counterfeit church of conciliarism: he preached
to the Jews about the necessity of their converting to the true Faith.
The missionary work of the Church to seek with
urgency the unconditional conversion of all men and all nations to the
her maternal bosom, outside of which there is no salvation and without
which there is no true social order, brought us glorious missionaries
who were willing to embrace many sacrifices, including martyrdom itself,
to spread the Faith of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ, so that men and all nations would be able to order
themselves rightly according to the Deposit of Faith that He has
entrusted exclusively to Holy Mother Church for Its eternal safekeeping
and infallible explication and by means of a fervent cooperation with
the graces won for us by the shedding of Our Lord's Most Precious Blood
and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our
Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of all Graces.
The work of conversion does not end when one is
Baptized or Confirmed. The work of conversion away from our sinful
selves to become more conformed to the Cross of the Divine Redeemer and
the merciful designs of His Most Sacred Heart for us is one that is
constant. Every beat of our hearts, consecrated as they must be to that
same Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of
Mary, must burn with fire for the love of God as He has revealed
Himself to us through His true Church and as we seek to grow in holiness
and to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world. It is
useless for us to be converted in the Baptismal font unless we are
willing to let God the Holy Ghost help to convert us every day to
cooperate more fully with His Seven Gifts and Twelve Fruits.
Saint Paul the Apostle explained that the spiritual
man, the one who is filled with Sanctifying Grace, cannot be understood
by the sensual or worldly man:
For what man knoweth the things of a man, but the spirit of a man that
is in him? So the things also that are of God no man knoweth, but the
Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of this world, but
the Spirit that is of God; that we may know the things that are given us
from God. Which things also we speak, not in the learned words of human
wisdom; but in the doctrine of the Spirit, comparing spiritual things
with spiritual. But the sensual man perceiveth not these things that are
of the Spirit of God; for it is foolishness to him, and he cannot
understand, because it is spiritually examined. But the spiritual man
judgeth all things; and he himself is judged of no man. (2 Cor. 2:
11-15)
We must keep this in mind when
our relatives and friends and associates do not understand how we can
refuse to keep our silence when a putative "pontiff" calls a mosque as a
"jewel" or as a "sacred" place or as he prays as a Jew without
mentioning the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer (doing voluntarily what
the leaders of Sanhedrin tried to force the Apostles to do, that is, to
mention the "name of that man no more") and has he praises the
nonexistent ability of false religions to help build the "better world."
We cannot care about what others think of us. We must say and do only
those things that are pleasing God, never fearing to raise our voices to
defend His greater honor and glory and majesty when these are offended
by one claiming to speak for the Catholic Church on earth.
The Mystical Bride of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ, Holy Mother Church, is as spotless and as immaculate as
Our Blessed Mother herself. The Catholic Church did not give us
"hootenanny" liturgies before the aftermath of the "Second" Vatican
Council.
She did not give us "inter-religious dialogue" and "inter-religious" prayer services.
She gave us liturgies that came from God the Holy Ghost, not travesties that reaffirm people in the spirit of he world.
She gave us clarity of
doctrine, not ambiguity and complexity that took one "clarification"
after another to attempt to make "clear."
And Holy Mother Church has always mirrored Our
Blessed Mother's hatred of heresy and error, which was part of the
meditation written by the late Father Frederick Faber on the Sixth Dolor
of Our Lady:
In the judgment of the world, and of worldly
Christians, this hatred of heresy is exaggerated, bitter, contrary to
moderation, indiscreet, unreasonable, aiming at too much, bigoted,
intolerant, narrow, stupid, and immoral. What can we say to defend it?
Nothing which they can understand. We had, therefore, better hold our
peace. If we understand God, and He understands us, it is not so very
hard to go through life suspected, misunderstood and unpopular. The mild
self-opinionatedness of the gentle, undiscerning good will also take
the world's view and condemn us; for there is a meek-loving positiveness
about timid goodness which is far from God, and the instincts of whose
charity is more toward those who are less for God, while its timidity is
searing enough for harsh judgment. There are conversions where
three-quarters of the heart stop outside the Church and only a quarter
enters, and heresy can only be hated by an undivided heart. But if it is
hard, it has to be borne. A man can hardly have the full use of his
senses who is bent on proving to the world, God's enemy, that a
thorough-going Catholic hatred of heresy is a right frame of mind. We
might as well force a blind man to judge a question of color. Divine
love inspheres in us a different circle of life, motive, and principle,
which is not only not that of the world, but in direct enmity with it.
From a worldly point of view, the craters in the moon are more
explicable things than we Christians with our supernatural instinct.
We must therefore permit God the Holy Ghost to come
into our souls with His bright burning flames at every moment of our
lives so that we will filled with love of God and hatred of our own sins
as we seek to cooperate with the graces He sends us through the loving
hands of His Spouse, Our Lady, making sure to honor His Spouse as we
pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit.
May this be our prayer this day and every day our own lives:
Come, Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray. O God, Who didst instruct the hearts
of the faithful by the light of the Holy Ghost, grant us in the same
Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through
Christ our Lord. Amen.
Kurt Koch, who heads the conciliar church's "Pontifical" Commission for Promoting Unity and of the "Pontifical" Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, was interviewed recently on the occasion of the sixty-fifth anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel.
"What did Koch say?"
"What he has said repeatedly."
"And what is that?" you ask.
"Apostasy. What else?"
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Paschal Baylon, pray for us.
May 16 Articles
Two short articles today: Phoning It In and Talking Turkeys. The first is about Jorge Mario Bergoglio's "consecration" to Our Lady of Fatima. The second is about Timothy Michael Dolan.
If you will excuse me at a little after two o'clock ante meridiem, I am going to get a few hours of sleep.
Check back tomorrow for the next cyperspace-busting, record-setting commentary.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Ubaldis, pray for us.
Part two of yesterday's commentary focuses on how most Americans, including most Catholics, are immune to the truth about the false premises of the American founding that have made the rise of the likes of the thuggish Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro inevitable. Cheer up. It will get worse before Our Lady's Fatima Message is fulfilled. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
It is my great privilege to offer this page in honor of the late +Miss Maria Cecilia Rose Duff, R.I.P. Her father, Mr. Timothy A. Duff, sent two poems, one by himself and one by his wife, Mrs. Eileen A. Duff, to publish a day after her burial yesterday at Saint John the Baptist Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio. Also include in this tribute is Maria's Motto and a song that the late Miss Duff composed for her family. I thank Mr. Duff for permitting me to publish this tribute in honor of a true victim-soul, Maria Cecilia Rose Duff, who was given the best of Catholic care--both temporally and eternally--by her parents and her siblings.
Eternal rest grant unto Maria Cecilia Rose Duff, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
A Protestant has termed Jorge Mario Bergoglio the first "Protestant pope." Not so. Petrine Minister Francis is the sixth in a line of such false "popes." And it is because Catholics have developed an immunity to the errors of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism that many of them are immune to the lies of the lords of Modernity, including Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, in the world. This is part one of a two-part article. Part two will be published, God willing and Our Lady interceding, tomorrow. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Boniface (a Roman who was martyred during the reign of Diocletian), pray for us.
Please continue to pray for the repose of the souls of Miss Maria Duff, whose Requiem Mass will be held today at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, and John Paul Galvin, Patrick Henry Omlor, Melissa Kunkel, Victor Joseph Meyer (Mrs. Eileen Duff's father) and Robert and Roberta Duff (Mr. Timothy Duff's father and sister). Our time could come at any time. We must be always be prepared for the moment of our Particular Judgment.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
May 13 Update and Request for Prayers for the Late +Miss Maria Duff, R.I.P.
Although there are several articles that are to be completed for posting, the past three months of almost nonstop writing demanded a few days away from the computer to provide my family with a few outings. I apologize for the gap in articles since Saturday's posting. However, there will be plenty, God willing and Our Lady interceding, this coming week, noting that I do plan to take more time off to rest and recover when necessary to do so.
We learned yesterday morning of the death of Miss Maria Duff, that sixteen years-old victim-soul who suffered with Pompe Disease with complete Catholic valor throughout the course of her thirteen years of suffering, which were spent in a wheelchair and on a ventilator. We were privileged to know Maria both during our time at Saint Gertrude the Great Church and at Saint Albert the Great Roman Catholic Church. She was an inspiration to anyone who met her. No less inspiring, though, has been the example of complete self-giving provided by her remarkable parents, the noted Catholic writer and educator, Mr. Timothy Duff, and his wife, Eileen, who is an educator in her own right. Mr. and Mrs. Duff made it their point to do the research that we necessary to get Maria the best medical care in accord with the teaching of the Catholic Church imaginable.
As Mr. Duff wrote in an commentary that he permitted me to publish last year: "It has been an incredible privilege for Eileen and I to feed and take care of Maria, especially for these 13 years in which she has been ventilator-dependent and fed through a G-tube. I am absolutely convinced that Maria has been given to us - to all of us - as not only an example of patient (even cheerful) suffering, but also as a means of making reparation for the horrendous crimes of neglect and even murder in our country and throughout the world." What the Duffs did for their daughter Maria--and had done for their son Joseph, who had died from the same disease--should serve as an inspiration to us all.
Although Maria's death was expected, we are still nevertheless very saddened by the news. Sharon and Lucy join me in offering our most sincere, heartfelt condolences to Tim and Eileen Duff and their children and family members. As we presume the state of no one's soul at the moment of death, it is thus important to have Masses offered for Maria Duff's immortal soul offered by true priests and to remember her soul in our Rosaries and other prayers.
This having been noted, though, Maria Duff suffered all for the honor and glory of Christ the King as His consecrated slave through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our prayers for her are not wasted if she has no need of them. Our Lady will direct the fruit of those prayers to some deserving soul in Purgatory if Maria Duff's immortal soul is in Heaven. As we do not know this for a fact, we simply pray and give all to Our Lady as her slave through her Divine Son.
Finally, the Requiem Mass for the late Mr. John Paul Galvin will be offered today at Saint Peregrine Church in Westlake, Ohio. Please continue to pray for the repose of his immortal soul and for the needs of his family at this time.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Please do make it a point to send this memorandum to Timothy Michael Dolan, who told an interviewer before he was honored by a group of "evangelical Protestants," whose salvation he not believe is at all in question, two weeks ago today that "we used to say" that separation of Church and State and "religious liberty" were wrong. News flash, Mr. Dolan: Catholics still do. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
The next article on this site will deal with the unraveling of the Benghazi cover-up that has been engineered by the administration of President Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro. There will be no article on Monday, May 13, 2013, the Feast of Saint Robert Bellarmine and the ninety-six anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal. One should appear, God willing and Our Lady interceding, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, following Jorge Mario Bergoglio's visit to Fatima. That article also will make reference to many other developments in the "Wonderland" known as conciliarism."
It appears as though it is time to update that little page associated with the sad and lonely post office box. Perhaps at some point next week.
Incredible feats of illogic are being undertaken by many in the conciliar structures to make Jorge Mario Bergoglio into something that he is not: a veritable defender of the Catholic Faith. This brief commentary is an effort to expose this illogic for those who are interested in seeing it exposed for what it is. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Antoninus, O.P., pray for us. Saints Gordian and Epimachus, pray for us.
Mr. John Galvin was kind enough to provide me a link to his late son's obituary: Obituary for John Paul Galvin. Please continue to pray for young Mr. Galvin's immortal soul and for the needs of his family at this time.
Please remember also to pray this day for the repose of the soul of the late +Mr. Patrick Henry Omlor, whose mortal remains are being laid to rest today in Perth, Australia, after a Requiem Mass for his immortal soul.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
May 9 Articles and Prayer Request for the Soul of the Late +Mr. John Paul Galvin, R.I.P.
Every day, more apostasy. More apostasy with each passing day. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is using his daily sermonettes in the Casa Santa Mara as a latter-day version of Ding Dong School in order to teach us naughty little boys and girls about the "bad old days" of the "no church," filled as it was with hard-headed people, and how we are so very, very lucky to have the "yes church" and its "new evangelization." There's just a bit of satire in this. However, you won't understand the context of the satire unless you take a little trip down memory lane to Ding Dong School as is provided in a nifty little link in this article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ's forty days' of teaching the Apostles after his glorious
Resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday culminated this very day,
Ascension Thursday, as He instructed the Eleven as follows before going
up into Heaven from Mount Olivet at whose foot He had suffered His Agony
in the Garden six weeks before as Saints Peter, James and John
slumbered:
And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where
Jesus had appointed them. And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in
heaven and in earth. Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing
them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and
behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
(Matthew 28: 16-20.)
There is no "expiration" date on this command. Indeed, the commentary in
the Bishop Richard Challoner version of the Douay-Rheims Bible explains
that the command is in force until Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ comes in glory on the Last Day to judge the living and the dead
and that His Church could never go astray, meaning, of course, that it
is impossible for the Catholic Church to give any impression at all that
God is pleased with false religions such as Mohammedanism and Talmudic
Judaism, which is what the conciliar "popes" have done for many decades now:
18 "All power"... See here the warrant and commission of the apostles
and their successors, the bishops and pastors of Christ's church. He
received from his Father all power in heaven and in earth: and in virtue
of this power, he sends them (even as his Father sent him, St. John 20.
21) to teach and disciple, not one, but all nations; and
instruct them in all truths: and that he may assist them effectually in
the execution of this commission, he promises to be with them, not for
three or four hundred years only, but all days, even to the consummation
of the world. How then could the Catholic Church ever go astray; having always with her pastors, as is here promised, Christ himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life. St. John 14.
The Catholic Church can never go astray. She is infallible. She does not
give us any "new ecclesiology" or "hermeneutic of continuity and
discontinuity" to deconstruct the meaning of dogmatic truth, thus
attacking the essence of the nature of God Himself, or false ecumenism.
Her pastors do not esteem the symbols and values and places of false
religions and they do not engage in "inter-religious" "prayer" services.
Her pastors do not teach that false religions have a "right" from God
to propagate their false beliefs publicly and they do not praise those
false beliefs for being "able" to "contribute" to the building of a
"better" world. Pastors of the Catholic Church insist always and at all
times that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and
social order with no equivocation, uncertainty, ambiguity or obscurity
of any kind.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Ascended into Heaven this day.
We must ascend with Him in our thoughts and prayers at all times as we
refuse to have our minds and hearts poisoned by the words and the deeds
of the false shepherds of the counterfeit church of conciliarism who
dare to blaspheme God so regularly and so openly and/or who refuse to
open their mouths in defense of the honor and majesty and glory of God
when He is so blasphemed and offended.
There is work for us to do before Our Lord comes for
us at the moment of our own Particular Judgments, which can come at any
hour and on any day, and at the end of the world to judge the living and
the dead.
The work that we have to do is to sanctify and to
save our immortal souls as members of the Catholic Church, work that
requires us to be attentive to the graces that were won for us on the
wood of the Holy Cross by the shedding of every single drop of Our
Blessed Lord Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood and the flow
into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who
is the Mediatrix of All Graces. And to cooperate with the graces that
Our Lady sends we must be fortified in prayer, which is one of the
reasons that we must keep most assiduously the first Novena in the
history of the Church, the Novena to God the Holy Ghost.
Our Lady was separated from her Divine Son when He
Ascended to Heaven. She was united to Him, however, by means of her
reception of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in Holy Communion. She
was united to the Apostles and the others who prayed in the same Upper
Room where He had instituted the Holy Priesthood and the Holy Eucharist
at the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday. She is united to us. She is our
Blessed Mother. We need to ask her for all the graces that we need to
save and to sanctify our souls as we eschew worldliness, which is the
theme of today's slightly revised article, and as we refuse to
participate in the fraud of a false religion, conciliarism, that is
replete with daily outrages given to her Divine Son, starting with the
outrage that is the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical service,
and as we make much reparation for our sins and those of the whole world
as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through her Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart,
especially on this ninety-third anniversary of Our Lady's first
apparition to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and Lucia dos Santos in the
Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal.
A blessed Feast of the Ascension of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to you all.
(In some places in the conciliar world today, of course, it is not Ascension Thursday. See Motu Madness Merry-Go-Round from five years ago for an explanation.)
Finally, it is my very sad duty to request prayers for the soul of Mr. John Paul Galvin, who was found dead yesterday in an apartment near a college campus. Mr. Galvin, who was just twenty-nine years of age, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Galvin, who are traditional Catholics I have been privileged to know since giving the "Living in the Shadow of the Cross" lecture program over the course of ten weeks (September to December of 2000) at the former Mount Seminary of the West in Norwood, Ohio, during the latter part of my "indulterer" days. A large contingent of Galvins came faithfully to every lecture.
I am truly shocked to have received the news of young Mr. Galvin's death that his father informed me of yesterday in an e-mail. Mr. John Galvin has given me permission to ask the good readers of this site to remember his son's immortal soul in your prayers and to remember them as well in this time of unexpected grief.
Sharon and Lucy join me in expressing our own deepest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Galvin and their large family. We ask you to join us in praying for the soul of Mr. John Paul Galvin and to arrange to have Masses offered at the hands of true priests for his soul, keeping his intentions in mind also during the praying of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary. Thank you.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon
him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through
the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Massive numbers of problems caused by a poor internet connection and major computer difficulties caused work on this article to be interrupted around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the Feast of Saint Stanislaus. Work was completed on it about twenty-four hours later after similar problems arose. Thank you for your patience. This is the second part of the series begun on Saturday, May 4, 2013, the Feast of Saint Monica, and it will continue periodically for the next two weeks. Articles dealing with different subjects, including a republished reflection on the Feast of the Ascension of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ into Heaven, will appear tomorrow and the days that follow.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us and protect us.
A very late/early hour. Suffice it say that this article features on a recent article authored by apostate who is the conciliar "archbishop" of Munich and Freising, Germany, Reinhard Marx, who referred to the "church" of the "traditionalists" as a "museum." Well, let's take a little look at life outside of the "museum." It is not a pretty picture at all. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.
Although I have started the initial work on my next article, which will deal with a variety of related stories documenting the demise of a world that has rejected the sweet yoke of the Social Reign of Christ the King, and will be focusing this coming week on the continuation the series of articles that began with yesterday's posting, prudence dictates to refrain from an eighth late-night posting. Thanking you for your patience, therefore, the only offering that I can provide you with today is a revised article on Pope Saint Pius V, whose feast is commemorate today, the Fourth Sunday after Easter. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Pius V, pray for us.
This is the first part of a multi-part series that provides a bit of contrast between the pagan "god" of Modernism and that of the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity. Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis used one of his daily sermonettes at Casa Santa Marta--on the Feast of Saint Athanasius, no less!--to once again use the Pharisees within the early Church as the straw men by which to infer that traditional Catholics to belong to a "no" Church, a Church of prohibition. As a matter of fact, we do. Hey, Jorge, have you looked at the Ten Commandments lately? This series is to help you review their true meaning. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Monica, pray for us. Saint Augustine of Hippo, pray for us.
There can be no "conquest" for the spiritual robber barons of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Perhaps that is why the very feast we celebrate today, the Finding of the Holy Cross, was taken of the calendar of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo liturgical abomination. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Alexander and Saints Eventius, Theodulus and Eventius, pray for us.
Well, I meant to work in a reference to the return of the Apostate Emeritus, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, to the grounds of Vatican City yesterday. Alas, this will have to be the subject for an article of its own, perhaps by tomorrow. Check back then.
May 2 Update: A Request for Prayers for the Repose of the late +Mr. Patrick Henry Omlor, R.I.P.
I received news earlier today of the death of that tremendous champion of the Catholic Faith, Mr. Patrick Henry Omlor, in Perth, Australia, at the age of eighty-one.
On behalf of Sharon and Lucy, I express our deepest condolences to Mr. Omlor's widow, Mrs. Mary Victoria Adelo Omlor, and his ten children and their families on the death of one of the greatest champions of the
Catholic Faith of our times, Anthony Patrick Henry Joseph Thomas Omlor.
He was born on the Feast of Saint Anthony, June 13, 1931, and become a hammer of
heretics in his own right and then died on the Feast of Saint
Athanasius, May 2, 2013, who took to flight from the Arians and was willing to endure
all manner of persecution for the sake of the integrity of the Holy
Faith.
Mr. Omlor's work helped many souls during his lifetime. His Robber Church helped me to see the true state of the Church Militant in this time of apostasy and betrayal. It will
continue to help many others in the years ahead as he has left us a tremendous
legacy.
More importantly, he formed a good Catholic family, some of whom we have been privileged to meet in the past seven years, and is now
more perfectly united with each of them from eternity, whether in Purgatory
or in Heaven, than he ever was here physically on the face of this
earth.
It was my great pleasure to have corresponded with Mr. Omlor back
in 2006. He wrote to me to explain that he enjoyed the earlier version of my current book about baseball as he was a huge fan of the game in his youth in Texas. It was
edifying to have received a letter from this remarkable Catholic
gentleman whose work helped me in no small measure to make the break
from the "independent" "resist while recognize" venues seven years ago
on the Feast of Saints Philip and James.
A wonderful summary of Mr. Omlor's life and work, published in 2005 on the Daily Catholic website, can be found at: Patrick Henry Omlor Tribute.
Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of this good, courageous Catholic gentleman and for the consolation of his family in this time of grief.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Yes, this is what Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis believes that we are, comparing us to the "closed-minded" Pharisees of the days of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. No, I am not making this up. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Athanasius, pray for us.
On this second day of the month
of May, the month of Our Lady, which is also the First Saturday of Our
Lady's month, I have dusted off and revised quite substantially a
reflection on Total Consecration to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart
of Mary that was first published in the printed pages of Christ or Chaos thirteen years ago this month. Actually, this reflection was first written
ten years ago for use for a priest in the conciliar structures to be
distributed to his parishioners. Although there is absolutely nothing
profound contained in this reflection, I do hope that it helps to serve
as a modest introduction to the topic of total consecration to Our Lady
for those who are unfamiliar with the benefits that accrue to those who
enslave themselves to her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
That's what Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro and his minions who enable Planned Parenthood and like organizations are. Today's commentary explains why this is so and touches upon conciliarism's own role in producing their likes. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Philip and James, pray for us.
Although it had been my intention to write about Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro's recent speech before a group of representatives from the Planned Barrenhood organization, fast-breaking events in the never-never land of Modernism have intervened. This short article, the twenty-second and last for the month of April, features Robert Zollitsch and Federico Lombardi. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Catharine of Siena, pray for us.
This is a brief reflection on the life and martyrdom of Saint Peter Martyr, also known as Saint Peter of Verona, that great son and contemporary of Saint Dominic de Guzman, the founder of the Order of Preachers, to whom Our Lady had given her spiritual weapon, the Most Holy Rosary, to fight the Albigensian heresy. This reflection makes a few applications from the life and martyrdom of Saint Peter Martyr to our own circumstances today as he teaches us to make no concessions to error, which has no "civil rights," whatsoever. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Martyr, pray for us.
While I have not mentioned anything about the post office box's relative emptiness (four non-tax-deductible gifts at the post office box and one on PayPal) in the past twelve days now, that does not mean there is no need to remind those who support the work of this site and who have the means to make even a modest non-tax-deductible financial gift to consider doing so. There seems to be an inverse relationship between the number of articles written in a month (twenty-one so far this month) and the support received from readers. Please do consider providing some assistance if you can. It would be better, of course, to do more than "consider." It would be better to respond with a small gift. Thank you.
What do you get when you add up "39" and "41" and "42" and "43" and "44"? You get a reunion of naturalist gangsters at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, three days ago now. That's what you get. A very short article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Paul of the Cross, pray for us. Saint Vitalis, pray for us. Saint Peter Chanel, pray for us. Saint Louis de Montfort, pray for us.
Not quite as late an hour as two mornings ago and not nearly as long of an article. However, it is late (or early) enough for me to let the readers of this site read the article for themselves. It deals with apparent "elements" of "kernels" of Catholicism that are said to be possessed by Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and that thus make him something that he is not: a member of the Catholic Church. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Canisius, pray for us. Saint Turibius of Mongrovejo, pray for us.
Yes, another late hour for the posting of another long article. This one has a lot in its text, including Piero Marini and civil unions, Timothy Dolan and the Girl Scouts, the conciliar "bishops" of England and Wales and mixed marriages and a French "bishop," newly elected president of the French conference of apostates, and his membership in the Grand Orient Lodge of Freemasonry. Conciliarism is just rocketing to the very depths of Hell. Don't go there yourself. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Mark the Evangelist, pray for us.
This should keep you busy until Saturday, although I might have a posting for you tomorrow.
April 24 Revised Article
Some significant computer problems last night prevented the completion of my next article, which will be lengthy as it is covering some of the fast-breaking events in the mad, mad, mad, mad work of conciliarism that are stupefying even for a veteran of such apostasy to behold. All along, though, most Catholics go "baa. baa" just as they do when faced with an increase of caesar's control over their daily lives as the statists exploit every crisis in order to condition the population for complete totalitarian control, all in the name, of course, of "national security." The conciliarists have conditioned Catholics to expect apostasy, blasphemy and sacrilege as passing for Catholicism. It is just remarkable to witness.
Lacking a new entry for today, I do, though, offer you my revised tribute to Saint Fidelis of
Sigmaringen, Another Contrast With Conciliarism: Saint Fidelis, on this Octave Day of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph on which Saint Fidelis's feast, normally celebrated on this date, is commemorated.
Our Lady of Good Counsel, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, pray for us.
The "Mister Big" of the new group Commissars created by "Fearless Leader" Jorge Mario Bergoglio to help him destroy the remaining remnants of Catholicism in the governance of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga, has said in a recent interview that he would like to see women appointed to run the dicasteries of the Occupy Vatican Movement. It's all about "empowerment" and "equality" and "democracy," of course. More than one Vatican observer has called the very idea of the the commissars to be revolutionary.
Well, revolutionaries do revolutionary things. It's sort of what they do. And these revolutionaries desire to put the finishing touches on the One World Ecumenical Church. They must be given credit for doing a very efficient job of things. This credit won't last. It will be to their eternal damnation if they do not repent. For the moment, though, this their hour, the hour of darkness, and they are making the most of it. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saints Soter and Caius, pray for us.
No, I have not forgotten about part two of Complete Creatures Of Caesar And His Minions. Events have gotten in the way of its completion, which I hope can be done today for posting tomorrow. The text will include a brief response to those who are lost in the trees of the "who done it" details of the Boston Marathon bombings.
While far from being "unimportant," the "who done it" details are less important than understanding the way in which the caesars use tragedies (and some really do occur as they are seen in "real time" as occurring; after all, was the owner of the carjacked Mercedes Benz who told the police that the Tsarnaev brothers had told him that they planned go to to New York part of a conspiracy?) to control the masses. The "authorities" certainly got those armored Humvees and infrared tracking equipment positioned in quite a hurry. They were very efficient in locking down the better part of a major metropolitan area. This is all a dress rehearsal for the reliving of the Grande Derangement that was described in the appendix yesterday.
This is all beyond question.
The point of the three articles that I have written thus far on the Boston Marathon bombings has been this, however: nations that offend God in First and Last Things will bring down His wrath upon them over the course of time. No nation can be secure when it seeks to protect under cover of the civil law and permits the widespread promotion and glorification in every part of its popular culture one heinous sin after another, starting with blasphemy itself. As I wrote over three years and one-half years ago now, No Christ the King? No Rosary? No Good Cause. It's that simple.
Another commentary on the events of the past six days, one that is being posted at 2:11 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Saint Anselm, pray for us.
April 20 Midnight Update
Although the writing of the next article for this well underway, prudence dictates a cessation of activities at 12:23 a.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, as the late night of writing the past few nights makes further progress on the new article to be most inadvisable. Thank you for your patience, something I have had exercise in abundance the past few weeks when making the daily trek to the post office box.
In the meantime, of course, we continue to pray for the souls of those killed in Boston on Monday, April 15, 2013, and during the manhunt for the Tsarnaev brothers on Thursday night, April 18, 2013, into yesterday, Friday, April 19, 2013, and for the recovery of those who have been wounded.
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Upon arising five hours after I thought this home page was posted at 4:30 a.m., I discovered that a software error (Windows 8 is horrible!) prevented the page from posting.
This commentary, which is a stand alone piece and not part two of an article published five days ago (that has to wait another day or so as this one took precedence), took many hours to complete. It is a review of the travesty that took place yesterday at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, Massachusetts. As bad as the other speakers, including our reigning caesar, were, however, the man who was the worst of them all was the man who permitted this travesty and abomination in the sight of the Most Blessed Trinity, Sean "Cardinal" O'Malley, the conciliar "Archbishop" of Boston, Massachusetts, and who sat idly by as one fully pro-abortion and pro-perversity figure after another invaded the sanctuary of a once and future Catholic cathedral.
Since the article was published, one of the suspected terrorists, a man who is an adherent of Mohammedanism from Chechnya (gee, it wasn't a "right wing terrorist," Christopher Matthews) was killed while his brother is still on the loose. We pray for the safety of those in harm's way. More importantly, we pray for the conversion of those Catholics who have been away from the Faith and/or who support grave evils so that, having been received back into the bosom of the true Catholic Church, they may be instruments of the conversion of non-Catholics, including Mohammedans and Talmudists.
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
Saint Joseph, pray for us.
April 18 Article and Midday Correction
Correction: Several alert readers have caught a most egregious error that made its way onto this home page at 1:00 a.m. when it was last updated with today's article and commentary. I had stated erroneously that the travesty of Edward Moore Kennedy's "Mass of Christian Burial" on Saturday, August 29, 2009, the Feast of the Beheading of Saint John the Baptist, was held at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, Massachusetts. It was held at Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help a few miles away. As I strive for complete factual accuracy, I am always willing to note with alacrity any errors that are indeed such that readers bring to my attention. I thank the readers who wrote to me and apologize again for the error. The correction is reflected in the commentary below.
It is now time to look at what happened a few hours ago as I have been busy with morning errands prior to the onset of strong thunderstorms in our area this evening.
While I have your attention, ladies and gentlemen, the post office box has remained entirely empty each day this week. There have been seventy-five articles published this year. Please help us if you have the means to do so and support the work of this site. Thank you.
Well, Bishop Fellay has decided to stand firm in defense of Gallicanism.
Yawn.
This current article, which is relatively short, contains a quotation from Novus Ordo Watch's first-ever English translation of the introductory text of Pope Pius VI's Auctorem Fidei, August 28, 1794, which condemns both the Gallicanism of the Society of Saint Pius X and the Modernism of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
It is necessary to wait as Caesar Barackus Obamus Ignoramus is going to speak at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross at the invitation of Sean "Cardinal" O'Malley. It's been nearly forty-four months since Obama was prominently featured at the hideous "Mass of Christian Burial" at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, just a few miles away from the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, for the pro-abortion, pro-perversity Edward Moore Kennedy (plenty of links were provided yesterday in Francis And The Commissars to remind you of that travesty) I am sure that there might be a few things to write about following this offense to the honor and majesty and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us.
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had dictators who were advised by the commissars in the Politburo. A Modernist revolutionary, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, has created his own Politburo with a cast of revolutionary commissars. This is a very detailed article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us. Pope Saint Anicetus, pray for us.
Today is the Solemnity of Saint
Joseph in Paschaltide. This brief article is a reminder to those who
reader this site that our dear Saint Joseph did not live in fear even in
the midst of his greatest sorrows. We must not live in fear in our own
lives today. Indeed, why live in fear with Saint Joseph so near? Saint
Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church and Protector of the Faithful,
pray for us.
There should be two articles tomorrow. One will deal with Bishop Bernard Fellay's "letter to benefactors" yesterday that announced there would be "no return to Rome" even while still recognizing Jorge Mario Bergoglio as a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. The other will be part two of the article published four days ago now, Complete Creatures Of Caesar And His Minions, part one, which will include a commentary on the trial of baby-butcher Kermit Gosnell that is being ignored by the mainslime and slimestream media.
While we did receive one non-tax-deductible gift early this morning on PayPal from dear friends of ours, the post office box remains empty. Empty. Zero. There are more than zero readers who access this site. Please consider helping us. Thank you.
Work on "Francis and the Commissars" was interrupted yesterday to prepare this commentary on the tragedy that took place yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts. We pray for the souls of those killed and for the consolation of their relatives and friends, remembering also to pray for the recovery of the many who were injured. This could happen at any time in any place, especially in a land that is at warfare with Christ the King by means of its wanton promotion of vice under cover of the civil law and throughout what passes for "popular culture."
There is quite a sad irony in all of this. A nation that waged an unjust and immoral war in Iraq that turned Baghdad and other cities in that country into easy targets of terrorist attacks of one kind or another, especially upon Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox, may itself become a mirror image of Baghdad, a place where bombs can detonate at any time, yes, even at a local supermarket or while waiting for a red traffic light to turn green.
Just say in a state of Sanctifying Grace, and beg Our Lady to help you to do so!
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, pray for us.
Finally, the post office box remains empty, a state which our bank account is reaching rather rapidly. While there was a gap recently of two days given other duties that had to be fulfilled, efforts are made to provide you with articles of substance on more days than not. We simply need your non-tax-deductible financial gifts to help us get through the remainder of the month. Thank you.
April 15 Update
There are a number of articles that are on the "to do list" at this time, including one about the "Petrine Minister's" new privy council that takes precedence over part two of Complete Creatures Of Caesar And His Minions, part one. Unfortunately, my civic duties have gotten my attention the past two days as I have had to fill out lots of forms for our inquisitive friends at a certain revenue collection agency. I will have "Francis and the Commissars" for you by tomorrow morning. Thank you for your patience. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Well, well, well. Senor Bergoglio is going to Fatima in thirty days to consecrate the beginning of his "Petrine Ministry" to Our Lady of Fatima. Do not be deceived. Our Lady does not smile on this man's heresies, including his support for false ecumenism and his acts of "inter-religious" prayer that are offensive in the sight of the Most Blessed Trinity. Other conciliar "Petrine Ministers" have gone to Fatima. They have persisted in their support for the conciliar revolution. Do not be deceived by Francis the deceiver. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Hermenegild, pray for us.
This is part one of a two-part commentary on the recent comments offered by a television news reader by the name of Melissa Harris-Perry, one of Modernity's many well-paid faux journalists. It is a detailed article, one that will keep you busy over the course of the next day or so.
Look, what I'm trying to do is to leave behind a body of work that can be accessed long after my death, whenever that will occur within the Providence of God, recognizing that it could be this very day. Even though the numbers of those who read these articles has settled back into the normal range in the past two weeks, they are written for the honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity, to Whom they are offered through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Finally, these two new articles bring up to six the number of articles published this week. This represents a number greater by two than those who have donated (one via the snail mail and three via PayPal) in the same time frame. I hope that more of you who support the work of this site and who have the means of being of some modest assistance will join the relatively few whose sacrificial giving and generosity keep us going from month to month. Thank you.
Late Night April 11 Update
Although there is much work ahead of me, including one article on Melissa Harris-Perry's recent comments about children belonging to the "community," an assertion that is of the essence of Masonic-Communist thought, and one dealing with Senor Bergoglio's apostate views on salvation, I am afraid that four straight nights of postings around 2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. require me to cease work and to call it a day. The next article should appear, God willing and Our Lady interceding, on Saturday, the Feast of Saint Hermenegild. Thank you for your patience. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Leo the Great, pray for us.
I thought that this was an appropriate title to use on the Feast of Pope Saint Leo the Great as a brief commentary about Francis the Hun's recent meeting with the head of the so-called "Evangelical Lutherans" of Germany illustrates. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Leo the Great, pray for us.
Wanna read an article? Better copy and paste this fast as the servers of the company that hosts this site have been under attack for the past three days. There was, from what the company's owner told me, a "Brute Force Attack" on Low Sunday. Yesterday's attack, which lasted until the evening, was a "Massive Distributed Attack." (Yes, I had to look up what these terms meant, and I know less now than I did before. However, I do know that it's real bad stuff, do you think? Hey, I can be funny when the entirety of my online work is at stake at 1:42 a.m. on a Paschaltide Ferial Day.) Someone say the Saint Michael the Archangel Prayer for us, all right? We are doing so.
In any event, I have no control of this site being "down." I don't want to think that it is this site in particular that is being targeted, although there is just a slight possibility that a consortium of unfriendly folks might have entered into a "compact of convenience" to take it down for good. Am I really serious? No, not really. This is all from the loving hand of God, Who means to purify us as He chastises us by sending crosses such as this one that give us an opportunity to give whatever merit we might earn from their patient endurance back unto Him through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Hey, wait! I better stop now before the site goes down again.
Another bad Federal court decision? Well, just another day in a world of madness created by the anti-Incarnational premises of the modern civil state with which the conciliar authorities, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio, have made their happy "reconciliation" and which Americanists such as John Ireland praised to the skies in the Nineteenth Century. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
A revised article is
offered on this transferred Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The revised article is a brief reflection
on the feast we celebrate today, the feast which signifies the moment
when the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, the very Word
through Whom all things were made, personally entered into human history
as He was made Incarnate in the Virginal and Immaculate Womb of His
Most Blessed Mother by the power of the Third Person of the Most Blessed
Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, Who overshadowed Our Lady after she had
given her perfect Fiat to the Will of the First Person of the Most
Blessed Trinity, God the Father, as that Will was made known to her by
Saint Gabriel the Archangel. The whole of human history is changed
today--and no one can remain neutral about what happened on this day.
If the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity
really did become Man this day in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate
Womb so as to redeem us on the wood of the Holy Cross thirty-three years
later, as we know is indeed the case, then every person and every
nation on the face of this earth must acknowledge this fact and
subordinate everything to the Deposit of Faith that He has entrusted
exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and
infallible explication. We must pray to Our Lady every day so that we
will never lose sight of the centrality of the Incarnation in our own
lives and in the lives of our nations, never lose sight of the fact that
Holy Mass itself is Incarnational as the Word Who was made Incarnate in
her Virginal and Immaculate Womb is made Incarnate on altars of
sacrifice under the appearances of bread and wine by true bishops and
true priests.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ spent nine
months in the tabernacle of Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb,
thereby sanctifying the wombs of al mothers. He is in solidarity with
every child in every mother's womb. Every abortion, whether by chemical
or surgical means, is an indirect attack on the Incarnation that took
place this very day.
A blessed transferred Feast of the Annunciation of Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to His Most Blessed Mother by Saint
Gabriel the Archangel to you all.
Low Sunday Update
No, I have not gone on vacation. Far from it. I have simply availed myself of the temporary lull from the Occupy Vatican Movement to attempt to do some work in promoting Meeting the Mets: A Quirky History of a Quirky Team, which I have now uploaded to The Book Patch (link provided above) to generate direct sales. The book has also been uploaded to Lulu.
The current uploads (and those that have been available online in the past few weeks) reflect necessary corrections of typographical errors and other revisions. I am in the process currently of downloading the software that is necessary to convert the e-format used for Kindle into one compatible for "Nook," one of Kindle's chief e-book competitors, and I have asked a reader of this site to help in the book's promotion. Most the readers from whom I have heard thus far have enjoyed reading the book. A few such comments can be found at the Meeting the Mets website. Although several readers have been very generous to us in recent weeks, we still need to generate income on a more consistent basis, and the post office box was empty except for all but one of the seven day, including the past three days.
Thus it is that I have to spend a bit more time on the book project (I intend to put There Is No Shortcut to Cure This Condition and Conversion in Reverse in a print-on-demand format in the coming weeks after making necessary corrections to each) now that the wall-to-wall spectacle of apostasy represented by the resignation of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and the accession of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has subsided enough for me to divide my time.
Yes, I am working on a new article. It should appear tomorrow morning, Monday, April 8, 2013. It will deal with the decision of a Federal judge in New York to permit over-the-counter sales of the "Plan B" abortifacient to women under the age of sixteen. As it now past Midnight on Low Sunday, it is simply prudent for me to offer you this update and ask that you check back tomorrow for the next new article. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
April 6 Request for Prayers for the Soul of the late +Mrs. Melissa Kunkel
We were informed by a friend a short while ago that Mrs. Melissa Kunkel, the mother of thirteen children, one of whom died after being baptized as an infant, died yesterday at the age of forty-one. We are shocked and very grieved by this news as we knew Mrs. Kunkel and her large family from our time at Saint Gertrude the Great Church and Saint Albert the Great Roman Catholic Church. We express our deepest condolences to her devoted husband, Mr. Thomas Kunkel, and the twelve children who survive her, the youngest of whom is two years of age, at this time, assuring them of our prayers. Father Joseph Greenwell administered the Sacrament of Extreme Unction at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Requiem Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood, Ohio.
Please join us in praying for this prayerful Catholic wife and mother whose sons served Holy Mass with dignity.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
April 5 Articles and Update on the Health of Mr. Michael Cain
Remember a man named Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.? Sure you do. He's the pro-abortion, pro-perversity statist Vice President of the United States of America who remains in perfectly good standing as a "Catholic" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism and who recently received what is purported, albeit falsely, Holy Communion at the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo "inauguration of Petrine Ministry" liturgical service for Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, the Feast of Saint Joseph, Chaste Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Biden also got to "shake hands" with Bergoglio and made it a point not to kiss his fellow apostate's phony episcopal ring, having been taught by his mother to show no sign of inferiority to anyone else.
In this, of course, the Clan Biden was simply channeling the Americanist Archbishop of Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 1888 to 1918, John Ireland. Ireland gave an address on October 18, 1893, in Baltimore, Maryland that explains a great deal why we are accursed with men such as Biden and with men such as Joseph Ratzinger and Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Believe me, this article is worth your time as you will be amazed to find the parallels between John Ireland's desire for "reconciliation with the age" and the conciliar spirit of such reconciliation in our own day. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Vincent Ferrer, O.P., pray for us.
This is a revised version of an article published two years ago now that contrasts the
zeal of Saint Vincent Ferrer for the conversion of Jews and Mohammedans
with his antitheses in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who do not
believe that they have a mission from God to seek with urgency the
conversion of the souls of any non-Catholics, including adherents of the
Talmud and the Koran. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint
Vincent Ferrer, O. P., pray for us.
Update on the health of Mr. Michael Cain: Well, it turns out that Mr. Michael Cain, the editor of The Daily Catholic website, did not suffer a heart attack yesterday in San Diego, California. Mutual friends have informed us that Mr. Cain suffered a pinched nerve that caused him to think that he was having a heart attack. He has returned home.
As noted last evening, Michael has been a good friend of ours for over twelve years now. Indeed, he contacted me in early-2001 shortly after my articles stopped appearing in The Wanderer, explaining that he had a website, about which I had never heard, and wanted to publish my articles on it. There was a time between March of 2001 and December of 2002 that the only place (noting three articles that were picked up on the Seattle Catholic site in 2002) other than the Christ or Chaos printed journal that was the predecessor of this website of the same name appeared was at The Daily Catholic website (yes, two articles in 2001 also appeared in The Latin Mass; A Journal of Catholic Culture, one in the Spring of 2001 and one in the Winter of 2001-2002).
Michael and his wife Cyndi, who is herself battling numerous, serious chronic health problems, are stalwart Catholics. We are honored to be their friends as they both work so hard for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal, both having blessed with a great zeal to give honor and glory to God through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary and to serve souls. Although a pinched neve is no light matter, it is less serious than having suffered a heart attack, and for this we are very grateful. Get better, Mike, we are praying for you!
There is a building project that will be undertaken in Ireland soon that expands an existing structure. The structure is called a mosque. Saint Patrick would not be pleased. How sad that the conciliarists are. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Isidore of Seville, pray for us. Saint Patrick, pray for us.
This is a follow-up to the article of March 27, 2013, They Have Heard The People Sing. Neither the lords of Modernity in the world or the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio, are spared. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Another day, another Bergoglio article. Timothy Dolan also gets a bit of a mention in this commentary. Tomorrow will feature the second part of my commentary on the oral arguments presented before the Supreme Court of the United States of America concerning the absurdity known as "gay marriage." Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., will get some attention on Thursday.
Afternoon update: Two readers informed me that the original hyperlink to today's article did not work, although the one on the Articlespage did work. The problem has been fixed. The link on this page now takes readers directly to the article itself. I am very sorry for any inconvenience. I have absolutely no idea how this happened. Always check the Articlespage if there is such a problem in the future. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Francis of Paola (who feast is impeded by the Easter Octave), pray for us.
Easter Sunday Articles, including another one on Apostate Bergoglio and his Pal Apostate Cantalamessa
This is the new article, which has been written and posted for today, Easter Sunday, because of its timeliness. I wish that I did not have to spend time during this Paschal Triduum of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on such matters. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Alleluia! He is Risen! Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has made manifest His Easter
Victory over sin and eternal death. "O death, where is Thy victory. O
death, where is thy sting?"
We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not
all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again
incorruptible: and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on
incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality. And when this
mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that
is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy
victory? O death, where is thy sting?
Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of
sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye
steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord,
knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Cor. 15: 51-58)
Our Lord made His Easter Victory over sin and eternal
death manifest first to His Most Blessed Mother, who stood so valiantly
at the foot of His Most Holy Cross as she cooperated completely in His
Redemptive Act, bringing us forth as the spiritual sons and daughters of
the living God in great pain by means of adoption. W need to rely on
the help of Our Lady as the consecrated slaves of Her Divine Son through
her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart so that we may persevere in a
state of Sanctifying Grace with perfect contrition for our sins until
the moments of our deaths so that our bodies and souls will be
resurrected on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and
the Dead and counted among those destined for the enjoyment of an
unending Easter Sunday of glory in Paradise.
Nothing else matters if we save our souls by
cooperating with the graces won for us by the shedding of every single
drop of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Most Precious Blood
on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls
through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All
Graces. Nothing else matters if we fail to soul our souls.
Silence filled the earth in the
forty hours between the death of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ on the wood of the Holy Cross yesterday, Good Friday, and His
glorious Resurrection at dawn on Easter Sunday. Silence filled the earth
as the God-Man went down into Limbo to announce the news of His
Redemptive Act to the souls of the just who had awaited His Coming and
His Sacrifice in atonement for the sins of all men from the beginning
until the end of time.
Given the state of the Church Militant on earth
during this time of papal vacancy, some Catholic will be anticipating Our Lord's Resurrection this morning during the
Holy Saturday Mass that was not touched by the Annibale
Bugnini-inspired Holy Week changes that went into effect in 1956 is
followed. Others will be following the Easter Vigil, offered after
dark, that was in effect at the time of the death of Pope Pius XII on October 9, 1958. No
matter when the Mass today is offered, however, we
spend the first hours of this day (from Midnight until the end of Holy Saturday Mass)
continuing our prayers of gratitude as we mourn the death of Our
Divine
Redeemer by means of our sins.
Christ the King is the Light of the World. It is His
light that is symbolized by the Easter fire that is lit at the beginning
of the liturgy on Holy Saturday. The Light of Christ breaks through the darkness of
sin and eternal death, leading us by the fire of His bright, burning
love as we continue our desert journey of life to the Promised Land of
the New and Eternal Canaan made possible by His immolation on the wood
of the Holy Cross yesterday, Good Friday. We must follow the Light of
Christ as He, the New Moses, leads us as the first Moses led the Hebrew
people as he followed a column of cloud during the day and a column of
fire during the night, as we reminded once again during the Prophecies
that are read during the Easter Vigil.
The Light of Christ, Our Crucified and Resurrected
Saviour, will penetrate the souls of those who are baptized today and of
those who are confirmed. It will penetrate the souls of those who
were unable to receive Him in Holy Communion yesterday at the Mass of
the Presanctified. It will penetrate the souls of those who are
regenerated once again in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. The Light of
Christ that is symbolized by the Paschal Candle is meant to permeate
every aspect of our lives without any exception at any time for any
reason.
The Light of Christ has indeed broken through the
darkness of sin and eternal death. Our Lord is making manifest His
Easter Victory over the power of sin and eternal death. A fifty day
period of glorious celebration is about to break upon us. Although the
Holy Saturday Mass is a long ceremony, eternity is forever. We can certainly
spend five hours basking in the glories of the Sacred Liturgy that are,
after all, a foretaste of eternal glories, can we not? The rewards are
truly Heavenly, rewards that we could not have unless the Co-Eternal and
Co-Equal Son obeyed His Heavenly Father out of love for him and out of
love for us so that we could have access to the treasures of His Most
Sacred Heart here through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
It is still too early to use the forbidden "A------a"
word that we have not heard since Septuagesima Sunday. However, it is
not too early to look forward to its use prior to the proclamation of
the Gospel during the Holy Saturday liturgy prior to the reading of the twelve prophecies.
A blessed Holy Saturday to you.
Good Friday Articles and Link to Live Streaming of Paschal Triduum Liturgies
Even though Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis has told us that "Holy Week is not so much a time of sorrow," I will indeed weep for my sins this day on which our very salvation was wrought for us on the wood of the Holy Cross, and I will indeed weep for the fact that this blaspheming apostate can give such a potpourri of scandalous sacrileges in the space of but sixteen days. Far from serving Our Blessed Lord and Saviour, Christ the Redeemer, Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is serving himself, showing that he is a man of pride and not of humility as arrogantly parades his "humility" and "simplicity" as a cloak to further advance the conciliar agenda that comes from and leads to only one place: Hell. May God have mercy on us all in this time of apostasy and betrayal. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
This is the day that our sins
transcended time and played their significant parts in putting God to
death. The greatest crime in the history of the world was committed this
day, Deicide, and we were among the guilty parties putting God on trial
and then subjecting Him to horrible and painful humiliations and
scourgings before we nailed Him to the wood of the Holy Cross, upon
which He paid back to His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Father the debt of our
sins.
Yes, there is no greater crime than Deicide. There is
also no greater act of love in all of human history as Love Incarnate
took upon Himself the guilt of our sins though He was guilty of nothing.
It was out of love for His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Father's Holy Will
and His matchless love for us that He, Who had instituted the Priesthood
and the Eucharist last evening at the Last Supper, that He subjected
Himself to the hands of us sinful men, even going so far as to make
excuses for us, His executioners, as He hung on the gibbet of the Holy
Cross.
This great act of sacrificial, redemptive love of the
God-Man, Who had become Incarnate in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal
and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost, is re-presented
in an unbloody manner on altars of Sacrifice by true bishops and true
priests every day of the year except for today, Good Friday.
Our focus today is on mourning for our sins and expressing our gratitude
that we have been redeemed by the shedding of every single drop of the
Most Precious Blood of Our Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ as we ask Our Lady to help us to grow in a greater fervor
for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as we grow more and more detached
from even our Venial Sins and come to despise them as much as we despise
any Mortal Sins that, God forbid, we may have committed.
This is a day of solemnity and sobriety, a day of
total withdrawal from the world and its madness. We spend our time in
church today as we keep Our Lord company at the Altar of Repose prior to
noon and as we participate in the Mass of the Presanctified. Our sins
put God to death. We helped to murder God in the very Flesh.
How does God repay us ungrateful and frequently
lukewarm sinners? He gives us the true Church, born out of the Blood and
Water that flowed forth from His wounded side when It was pierced by
Saint Longinus's lance, making possible our regeneration in the
Baptismal font and in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, making it possible
for us therefore to receive His very Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in
the Most Blessed Sacrament in Holy Communion. And he give us His Blessed
Mother, she who is our Co-Redemptrix, our Mediatrix and our Advocate,
to be our Blessed Mother as He entrusts her to Saint John the
Evangelist, whose fidelity to Our Lord on this day is meant to
foreshadow our own fidelity by means of assisting at daily Mass
frequently and of persevering until the point of our dying breaths in
states of Sanctifying Grace by remaining a as close to Our Lady as he
was.
Will we repay Our Divine Redeemer Who was nailed to
the Cross this day with a true effort to amend our lives? Will we repay
Our Divine Redeemer Who shed every single drop of His Most Precious
Blood this day with a greater effort to take seriously our consecration
to His Most Sacred Heart through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of
Mary? Will we seek to live at all times in light of First and Last
Things as we bear our own crosses with love and joy and gratitude?
Our Lady stands ready to help us to bring us to
Calvary every day. Sure, we must make the same kind of effort as Saint
Helena made to find the site of the True Cross in the Fourth Century as
the Mass has indeed been taken away by spiritual robber barons. However,
Our Lady does indeed stand ready to help us to make whatever sacrifices
we need to make to assist exclusively at Masses offered by true bishops
and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the
nonexistent legitimacy of its false shepherds who cater to the ancient
enemies of the Faith and who promote one falsehood after another.
Will we let Our Lady lead us to these true offerings
of Holy Mass so that we can be ready to die at any time and thus to
enjoy an unending Easter Sunday of glory in Heaven?
May we give thanks and praise to Our Lord through His
Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart this day for the wondrous mystery of
His love that has made possible our eternal salvation.

This article, written in 2008,
is a reflection on the suffering that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ endured in the Garden of Gethsemane atop the Mount of
Olives.
It is now the hour of darkness. Our Lord suffers in
His Sacred Humanity as He contemplates the horror of coming into contact
with the very antithesis of His Sacred Divinity, our sins. He sees all
of the sins of all men from the beginning until the end of time as He
agonized in the Garden as the same three Apostles who accompanied Him to
the top of Mount Thabor as He was Transfigured in glory before their
very eyes, Saints Peter, James and John, fell fast asleep. May we stay
awake and alert during this night as we keep Our Lord company in His
Real Presence on the Altar of Repose as we render unto him acts of
adoration and thanksgiving and reparation and petition through the
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Prayer Request: Prayers are request for the repose of the soul of the late +Mr. Mark Polaschek, whose body was found by the United States Coast Guard off of Key Largo, Florida, on Monday, March 25, 2013, and identified by local authorities yesterday, March 27, 2013, disappeared on on Friday, March 22, 2013, the Feast of the Seven Dolors of the Blessed Virgin Mary, while sailing his boat. His wife, Kara Polaschek, called the United States Coast Guard and local authorities when he did not return to their vacation home (see Missing Q-C boater's body found).
We met Mr. Polaschek and his wife in Davenport, Iowa, in August of 2005 at a talk I gave in a warehouse, if I recall correctly, in the downtown part of that Mississippi River city, seeing him again in November of 2011 when he assisted a traditional bishop at a Confirmation service.
We are truly shocked and saddened at the news of Mark Polaschek's death and hereby express our deep condolences to his wife and their son, assuring them of our prayers. Please join us in praying for Mr. Polaschek's immortal soul and for the needs of his family at this time.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Bergoglio Update: As much as I do not want to do so, Francis the Talking Apostate's mockery of the Catholic Faith, including the Holy Priesthood instituted this very night for our sanctification and salvation and his utter and complete contempt for everything he considers "self-referential" and thus "Pharisaical, cries out for a brief commentary. This man is crucifying Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ anew, and his scandalous acts of self-aggrandizement in the name of "serving the poor" cry out for condemnation. Thus it is that I have work to do.
Today is Maundy Thursday, the
day on which Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ instituted the
Holy Priesthood and the Eucharist at the Last Supper for our
sanctification and salvation. Although Our Lord would enter deep into
His Passion immediately after the completion of the Last Supper as He
suffered His Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, He wonderfully gave us
the Holy Priesthood of the New Dispensation as He instituted the New and
Eternal Covenant that He would ratify by the shedding of every single
drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross tomorrow,
Good Friday. We must express our gratitude to Him at all times for
giving us the Priesthood so that we can have access on a daily basis to
His own Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in Holy Communion, made present
for us on altars of Sacrifice by true bishops and true priests in this
time of apostasy and betrayal
This is a day to keep watch with Our Lord in His Real
Presence at the Altar of Repose, remembering most importantly to beg
Our Lady to make more and more voluntary sacrifices to make reparation
to the Most Sacred Heart of her Divine Son through her own Immaculate
Heart for our sins and those of the whole world.
This republished article, written three years ago, is another
brief reflection on the love of the Cross that should characterize
every moment of our lives. Are our hearts ready to enter into the Sacred
Mysteries of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Passion,
Death, and Resurrection? Are our hearts ready? Our Lady of Sorrows, pray
for us.
As our focus these days of the Paschal Triduum of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is entirely on the events of our Redemption, articles on other matters will be resumed on Easter Monday, although I will note in a brief original commentary tomorrow how Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis does not believe that sorrow should have any part in these days. Really? You better believe that we should have sorrow for our sins and those of the whole world that caused Our Lord to suffer in His Sacred Humanity and caused the Fourth through Seven Swords of Sorrow to be pierced through and through His Most Blessed Mother's Immaculate Heart.
Not much attention has been paid on this site this year to the madness that is naturalism, a subject that was mined pretty thoroughly during the March of the Midget Naturalists in 2011-2012. There is really little new ground to be spaded here, which is why this current article dealing with the oral arguments presented before the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the case of Hollingsworth v. Perry is relatively short, concise and to the point. A similarly short article will appear tomorrow, Maundy Thursday, about arguments that will be made today in the case concerning the Federal "Defense of Marriage Act" in additional to republished reflections for Maundy Thursday. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Many of the conciliar
revolutionaries have smashed statues of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ and Our Lady and Saint Joseph and other saints with an
iconoclastic abandon. The great saint we celebrate today, Saint John
Damascene, fought the iconoclasts in his day. And while many, although
far from all, of our Catholic churches are now in the hands of the
conciliar iconoclasts, we can festoon our homes with images of Our Lord
and Our Lady and Saint Joseph and other saints as we use these images to
remind us of we are united to the saints represented in these images by
means of the Communion of Saints and that we hope to share Heaven with
them for all eternity in the glory of the Beatific Vision. Saint John Damascene, pray for us.
The Donations page has been updated. We do need your assistance. Thank you.
Today is, of course, our daughter Lucy's eleventh
birthday and the fifth anniversary of her First Holy Communion. Please
pray for her. Thank you.
The rotten fruit of the nascent "Petrine Ministry" of Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis and his underlings, including Timothy Michael Dolan, scandalizes some Catholics, Orthodox Jews, believing Mohammedans and even many members of evangelical or fundamentlist Protestant sects while blaspheming the honor and majesty and glory due to the Most Blessed Trinity. Yes, Francis and his other Judases abound in Holy Week. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us
Given the relative lack of support for this site, a new appeals update will be posted later today. I regret that this is necessary. The increased number of readers this month has yet to manifest itself via PayPal or at the post office box, although we remain very grateful to those who have been so kind and generous enough as to be of assistance to us in recent weeks. Thank you.
With apologies for the delay, here is a relatively short and fairly readable sequel to the continuing saga of the new universal public face of apostasy, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who is masquerading these days as "Pope Francis" even though he made many stylistic changes in the "Petrine Ministry" in the past twelve days. No matter his differences of style as compared to his "brother "Benedict," they are one in Modernist mind and heart." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
The Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is transferred this year to Monday, April 8, because of Holy Week this week and the Octave of Easter next week.
Palm Sunday
Republished Holy Week Reflections
Today is Palm Sunday, the
first full day of Holy Week, which began with First Vespers last
evening, Saturday, March 23, 2013. The crowd welcomed Our Blessed Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ with great joy on this day in the year 33 A.D.
Most of those who were in that crowd reviled him just five days later, a
simile for how long one can expect to have the approval of the crowd.
Our Lord, of course, did not come to seek the
approval of the crowd. He accepted it on Palm Sunday as His Public
Ministry was coming to an end, knowing that He would suffer the insults
and the blows and the spittle of many of those same people during His
fearful Passion and Death. Christ the King was hailed and reviled within
the space of but five days. Our Lord entered Jerusalem this day to
begin this week of weeks that would see Him institute the Holy
Priesthood and the Holy Eucharist for our sanctification and salvation,
to suffer His Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, to be abandoned by all
but one of His Apostles as He hung on the gibbet of the Holy Cross to
shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood to redeem us. Through
it all, of course, Our Lady was close to Him, suffering in a perfect
compassion of heart and soul as He underwent the events for which He
became Incarnate in her Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God
the Holy Ghost at the Annunciation.
I offer once again From Eden to the Empty Tomb, written for the printed pages of Christ or Chaos in 1997 and revised a bit over the years, is a review of salvation
history from Special Creation to Palm Sunday (I've broken up the
reflections on the Paschal Triduum and elaborated on these over the
years). Perhaps I will revisit it and improve it one year. Also being republished is Passing from Death to Life, which was published in the printed pages of Christ or Chaos in 1998.
Saint Gertrude the Great had a mystical experience with Our Lord on a Palm Sunday in the Thirteenth Century:
On the Feast of Palms, as Gertrude was filled with
the delights of the Divine consolation, she said to Our Lord: "Teach me,
I beseech Thee O Beloved, how I can go forth to meet Thee today, Who
art approaching Thy Passion for my salvation." Our Lord replied: "Give
Me an ass" to ride, a troop of people to precede Me with acclamations,
another troop to follow Me with praises and another to minister to Me.
"You will give Me an ass to ride, if yo acknowledge
with a contrite heart that you have failed to be guided by reason, and
have had no more understanding than a beast of all that I have done for
your salvation. This negligence has caused you to hear My sweet
tranquility, so that when I thought to find some consolation in you, it
was necessary for Me to purify you by some exterior or interior
suffering. And thus I was obliged to suffer in you; for My love, which
could not restrain itself, obliged My goodness to compassionate you in
all your adversities. But when you give Me the conveyance which I
desire, I shall be satisfied.
"You will give me a troop of people who will make
acclamations before Me, when you receive Me with full affection in the
name of all men, in union with the love which made Me, your Lord and
Creator, enter Jerusalem for the salvation of the world, and in
satisfaction for all those who have failed to thank Me worthily, and
with perfect affection, for this great grace.
"You will give me another troop to follow Me with
praises when you avow sincerely that you have never imitated the example
of My perfect life as you should; and if you should offer Me such a
fervent will, that if you could you would urge all men to imitate what
is most perfect in My life and Passion, and this for My honor and glory;
and pray that you may obtain the grace to imitate Me in true humility,
patience and charity (the virtues which I exercised during My Passion),
desiring with the utmost ardor to follow My example.
"You will give me those who will attend Me, if you
confess that you have never defended My truth and just as you ought,
resolving firmly to defend them for the future, both by words and
actions." He added: "Whoever presents himself to Me in these four ways
will not fail to obtain eternal life as the reward of his piety." (The Life and Revelations of Saint Gertrude the Great, republished by TAN Books and Publishers, pp. 359-360.)
With figures of Antichrist abounding in the counterfeit church of conciliarism and in the world, we need to defend the truths of Christ the King now as never before. No compromise with evil for the sake of human respect or "strategy." No compromise with that which is a threat to souls, starting with our own. No compromise on any point of Faith or Morals. No compromise with the culture, which has distractions aplenty this week to keep us away from focusing solely on the events of the Paschal Mystery of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We must grow in holiness this week, meditating upon Our Lord's total self-abnegation, yes, to the point of death, death on the Cross. Our merciful Redeemer wants us to pray, sacrifice and to suffer for Him as His consecrated slaves through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
We need to keep close to Our Lord this Holy Week by
keeping close to His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart, praying as many Rosaries each day as our state-in-life permits.
We grieve over our sins and we give thanks for the great love shown to
us by Our Lord to pay back the debt of our own sins on the wood of the
Holy Cross, the great love shown to us by Our Lady as she brought birth
us spiritually in great suffering as she saw our sins kill her Divine
Son right before her very eyes.
An Easter victory of glory awaits us if we cling to Our Lady and accept the measure of pain, sorrow, suffering, loss, hardship, humiliation, poverty and even estrangement from friends and relatives in this time of apostasy and betrayal with joy so that we can die to self and thus live forever with Heaven in the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost in the company of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, our Guardian Angels and Patron Saints and all of the elect.
A blessed Holy Week to you all.
My next original article will appear tomorrow morning, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Late Evening March 23 Update
Yes, this site was down today. That means that I am unable to access it to create new pages for new articles. Given the sickness in the household right now, I will wait until later Palm Sunday to complete my next article on Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis, which will, of course, include commentary on the meeting in Castel Gandolfo earlier today of the two-headed "pope" monster. I will proceed now to the revision of my Holy Week reflections, some of which I wrote two decades ago now, that are republished annually. Thank you for your patience. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
March 23 Early Morning Update
Much transpired in the fantasy land that is conciliarism yesterday. An appropriate article will appear late this afternoon or early this evening. I want to await the first meeting of the "two-headed 'pope' monster' later today before completing the article. Thank you for your patience. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
Layman Jorge Mario Bergoglio, master steward aboard deck on the One World Ecumenical Church, that of conciliarism, sent a congratulatory message on the "enthronement" of Laymen Justin Welby as the master steward on another deck of that same world church, that of the schismatic and heretical Anglican sect. Nice work if you can get it. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
This is a short article as a bit of sickness has overtaken the household. I will try to have a longer one tomorrow. Let's put it to you this way, however: the number (seventeen) of original articles published thus far in the month of March on this website far surpasses the number of those who have non-tax-deductible financial gifts via PayPal or via snail mail. We are grateful to those who have given in the past and who give now, especially as we know that some of the gifts are truly sacrificial in nature. Any help that you can give us would be greatly appreciated and is much needed. No amount is too small.
Only a handful of genuine mystics and truly gifted
spiritual masters have been able to comprehend the unfathomable
mysteries of grief that overwhelmed the fairest creature of our race,
Our Lady, as those Seven Swords of Sorrow were plunged through and
through her Immaculate Heart.
We sin so casually, so thoughtlessly, so repeatedly,
rarely giving a moment's worth of a meditation to how our least Venial
Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer
unspeakable horrors during His Passion and Death, horrors that
penetrated the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother as she,
conceived without any stain of Original or Actual Sin, suffered in a
perfect communion of Hearts with Him.
It cannot be that way with us from this day forward.
We are on the cusp of Holy Week, ending now the first week in
Passiontide, Passion Week. We must enter deep into the mysteries of our
salvation, which was wrought for us by the perfect obedience of the Word
made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb to the Will of
His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Father. We must quit our sins once and for
all, recognizing how they caused the God-Man and His Most Blessed Mother
to suffer, how they wound our own souls, which have been purchased by
the shedding of every single drop of the Divine Redeemer's Most Precious
Blood, and how they have brought great sorrow into the Heart out of
which was formed Our Redeemer's Most Sacred Heart. No more sin. No more
joking about sin. No more dismissiveness about the gravity of sin. We
must repent and amend our lives as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate
Heart of Mary.
Our Lady brought forth her Divine Son painlessly and
miraculously. She brought us forth in great pain as the adopted children
of the Living God as she stood so valiantly by the foot of the Cross on
Good Friday. She stands by the foot of her Divine Son's Most Holy Cross
in every true offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass by a true
bishop or a true priest. We must stand by her each day at Holy Mass as
we make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world with every
beat of our hearts, making sure as well to pray as many Rosaries each
day as our states-in-life permit.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
A stalwart defender of the Catholic Faith and a man I am privileged to count as a friend, Mr. Mark Stabinski, many of whose articles are published at Tradition In Action, informed his e-mail list last evening that his father, Mr. Edward Stabinski, died in New Jersey on Tuesday, March 20, 2013. Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of Mr. Stabinski, who had received the true Sacrament of Extreme Unction from a priest of the Society of Saint Pius X, arranging to have Masses offered for his soul and to keep the repose of the soul and the needs of his children and grandchildren in our Rosaries.
On behalf of Sharon and Lucy, therefore extend my deepest condolences to Mr. Mark Stabinski and his own family and to his siblings and their families.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
This is a much lengthier and more substantive article than yesterday's commentary. I hope to have another one tomorrow, the Feast of the Seven Dolors of Our Lady in Passiontide.
Over a thousand people daily are accessing this site now. Suffice it to say that we only have a thousand specs of dust, at least most days, at the post office box. We do need your assistance. Thank you.
As promised about fourteen and one-half hour ago now, I have revised an article that was written in 2010 to take account of the fact that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis is just as much the antithesis of Saint Benedict of Nursia as was his predecessor, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Thus it is that this revised article attempts to provide a brief contrast
between Saint Benedict of Nursia and Benedict XVI and his successor, Francis. (It was on this day in 1961 was I received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the hands of Bishop Walter P. Kellenberg, the founding bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, who became a full-throated support of the "Second" Vatican Council and its aftermath.)
Next, I have a correction to make. There were two occasions in the past week in which I wrote that Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis was installed as a conciliar presbyter by Giovanni Montini/Paul The Sick. This was erroneous. I apologize for the error. So many apostates, so many details. It was Albert Malcolm Ranjith, who was the "hope" of Raymond Leo "Cardinal" Burke and other "traditionally-minded" Catholics in the conciliar structures, who was installed by Paul The Sick on June 29, 1975 (see Seeking Unity In Their Apostasy). Jorge Mario Bergoglio was installed by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Archbishop Ramón Jose Castellano, on the date on December 13, 1969. Well, I got the date right. Seriously, I regret the factual error, apologize for it and have made the revisions in the two articles that contained it. Thank you for your understanding.
Finally, Mrs. Randy Engel, who is the President of the U.S. Coalition for Life and of The Michael Fund, sent out the following e-mail to her list last evening. I ask the readers of this site to read this important notice carefully:
Dear Friends of Life – In
anticipation of World Down Syndrome Day, March 21, 2013, we, at the
International Foundation for Genetic Research/Michael Fund present Dr. Paddy-Jim
Baggot’s “New Directions in Down Syndrome
Research.” Enjoy. And please remember in your prayers all the
unborn children with Downs or related
chromosomal disorders who do not make it through the eugenic net of prenatal
diagnosis and a prayer of thankfulness for those who do and whose parents
cherish them for the remarkable children that they are. Randy Engel,
Director. IFGR/MF.Please circulate and also consider a tax-deductible donation to the The Michael Fund.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Benedict, pray for us.
This article is very short as, to be honest, the work of the past week has been utterly exhausting and there is really no need to belabor points made in my five previous articles about Jorge Mario Bergoglio/Francis. I hope to have a slightly longer article tomorrow on the Great Bergoglio Charade, which will involve "ecumenical" meetings today. Saint Joseph does not protect false ecumenism, thank you very much, Frankie boy.
Today is the second anniversary of my late father's brother, Edward, who died in Texas at the age of ninety-three years, five months on this date in 2011. Please pray for the repose of his immortal soul, remembering as well that of my late mother, Norma Florence Red Fox Droleskey, whose thirty-first anniversary of death was on Monday, March 18, 2013, and the soul of Father Daniel Johnson, who died on this date in 2007, and Mrs. Theresa Colgan, who died on this date in 2008. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Well, all I have to do is to stay up for two more hours in order to watch the "Inauguration of the Petrine Ministry as the Bishop" of Rome travesty take place live. Unless insomnia interferes, I have no intention whatsoever of doing so. I will review the video tomorrow afternoon at some point, whereupon I will write yet another article in the newest universal public of apostasy's efforts to kill me with his "novelties," his "simplicity" and his ostentatious displays of "humility." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Today, of course, is the
great Feast of Saint Joseph, the Chaste Spouse of Our Lady, the just and
silent man of the House of David.
Saint Joseph denied himself his biological fatherhood
in order to serve as the ever-virginal spouse of the Blessed Virgin
Mary and the most loving foster-father to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. In him, Saint Joseph, is to be found every virtue for a
husband and father to imitate: patience, charity, forbearance in all
difficulties, fortitude, perseverance, temperance, and total
self-abnegation. Those of us who are husbands and fathers must learn to
be more silent, to learn to be more loving, to learn to be more patient,
to learn to be more meek, to learn to be ever-ready to worker harder
and harder at our life's work so as to help our wives and our children
to live as redeemed creatures here below in order to know eternal
happiness hereafter.
Saint Joseph is the model of home life and the
patron of artisans, the protector of widows and orphans, the patron of
those who are in danger of death. May we invoke his patronage each day
after we invoke that of his Most Chaste Spouse, Our Lady, and never be
slow to turn to him in our spiritual and temporal needs:
O Saint Joseph, whose protection is so great, so
strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my
interests and desires. O thou Saint Joseph, do assist me by thy powerful
intercession, and obtain for me from thy divine Son all spiritual
blessings, through Jesus Christ, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ; so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may
offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of fathers. O Saint
Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee, and Jesus asleep in thy arms; I
dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. Press Him in my name
and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I
draw my dying breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for
me. Amen!
Another article, written and published in 2010, Losing Everything to Gain God, also focuses on our Good Saint Joseph.
The hour is very late (actually, it is very early on Passion Sunday). About nine hours of work went into the completion of this latest chapter in the "Francis the Talking Apostate" series. It is truly remarkable to see this degenerate so rapidly. Then again, a false church with false doctrines and false, sacramentally invalid liturgical rites must show itself more and more as an agent of Antichrist once most Catholics, having no access to true priests and true sacraments, lose any sense of the Faith and believe in religious indifferentism and sentimentality as the substitute for the truths contained in the Sacred Deposit of Faith. Truly, truly remarkable, Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us.
One of the recurring themes in
my writing is the obligation each of us has as a Catholic to forgive
others as we have been forgiven so freely and so readily by Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ acting through an alter Christus in the
Sacred Tribunal Penance. There is nothing that anyone can do to us, say
about us or cause us to suffer, whether emotionally or physically, that
is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused the God-Man to
suffer in His Sacred Humanity during His Passion and Death as the Fourth
through Seven Swords of Sorrow pierced the Immaculate Heart of His Most
Blessed Mother. If He forgives us recidivist sinners, steeped in the
spiritual mediocrity of lukewarmness, so readily and so frequently, who
are we to hesitate for a moment to forgive others anything and
everything, whether real or imagined or exaggerated, that they have have
said about us or done to us?
Our Lord entered His Passion so as to redeem us and
thus to make it possible for us to know His forgiveness, first in the
Baptismal font and then in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance (and, for
our
Venial Sins, every time a priest administers Absolution following the
recitation of the Confiteor in the offering of Holy Mass). We must
make
good use of this Passiontide to be more forgiving as we seek out the
mercy of the Divine Redeemer through the ministrations of a true priest
acting in persona Christi in the confessional.
As a sinner who has been forgiven much in the Sacred
Tribunal of Penance, I have no energy at all (Deo gratias!) for
nursing
petty grudges and stewing in my juices about the judgments of others.
Our sins imposed an unjust judgment on God in the very Flesh. It is
good
for us to suffer humiliation and rejection and calumny and scorn and
derision. Very good for us. The more we suffer with love and gratitude
is the more that we can unite ourselves to the Most Sacred Heart of
Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. And even if
we are the victims of real injustices and calumnies, so what? So what?
Everything gets revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of
the
Living and the Dead. Each of the just will be reconciled one to the
other at that time. That happy reconciliation then can only take
place,
however, if we forgive others from our hearts in the here and now of
this passing, mortal vale of tears!
Let's make this the best Passiontide of our lives,
grateful to Almighty God that He has brought us to the beginning of yet
another Passiontide, uncertain though we may be as to we will live to
see Easter Sunday in this passing, mortal vale of tears just two weeks
from now on Sunday, March 31, 2013.
Today is Passion Sunday falls on the usual feast day of Saint
Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland. A blessed Saint Patrick's Day to you
all, especially those of you who are of Irish descent (as are my wife
and, on her mother's side, our daughter).
Saint Patrick was sent to convert the pagans of the
Emerald Isle by Pope Saint Celestine I. Saint Patrick did not engage in
"inter-religious dialogue." He sought to convert the Druid chieftains so
as to effect the conversion of their followers. The land of pagan
debauchery became the Island of Saints.
Alas, the Island of Saints has returned in large
measure to its pagan roots. The counterfeit church of conciliarism,
which rejects "proselytism" in most instances, has deprived the people
of Ireland of Sanctifying Grace. We must pray to Saint Patrick each day
for our own conversion as well as for the conversion of the conciliar
revolutionaries who are so responsible for the corruption of the Holy
Faith and for leading a Catholic land such as Ireland back into the
debauchery from whence he, Saint Patrick, converted it. Saint Patrick,
pray for us, pray for Ireland, pray for all of those of Irish descent.
Our Lady of Knock, pray for us.
As I am simply exhausted from the number of man-hours spent on the last four original articles, including today's, I am going to take the day off from writing. The head citizen of the One World Ecumenical Church will just have to be as patient for my next commentary about him as I must be to await your non-tax-deductible financial gifts. We really need your help. Thanks.
A very short article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
It is a late hour. I must close for now.
Oh, yes, save for a very nice tax-deductible financial gift that we received four days ago, the post office box has been entirely empty. So has the PayPal inbox. Over thirteen hundred people accessed this site yesterday. Over seven hundred of those accessed Do Not Permit
Yourselves To Be Snookered. A modest one or two dollars per reader would help us pay a few bills. These articles take time to research and write. We need such modest gifts from larger numbers of our readers (around twelve to twenty, depending upon the month) than are sending at least something once a month. This is not a joke. Thank you.
Another day, another Luis Mario Bergoglio/Francis article. This is about as bad as it gets when factors in the man's apostasy and the fact that there are already some in the "recognize but resist" movement who are spinning for him. God have mercy on us all. Our Lad of the Rosary, pray for us!
In the immortal words of the cartoon character Boris Badenov, the resident villain in all but four of the story arcs of Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show, I could have entitled this article, "Permit me to introduce myself, Francis. I am Dr. Thomas A. Droleskey. We'll be spending a lot of time together until you announce your resignation in the new and improved 'democratic' version of the papacy called 'The Petrine Ministry.'" Instead, I however I chose a title that will evoke memories of Donald O'Connor's pal in five Francis the Talking Mule motion pictures from 1950 to 1955.
Poor, poor Jorge Mario Bergoglio. The man is truly a sad, lost soul. He looked so very confused and befuddled when he appeared on the balcony to greet the thousands upon thousands of people who had gathered in Saint Peter's Square to see him. He did not even know how to administer the Apostolic Blessing properly. He is nevertheless a hideous apostate who lacks Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's love of aesthetics as he, the new conciliar "pontiff," is being hailed by Catholics and non-Catholics alike for being the first Jesuit and Latin American "pope," has presided over truly sacrilegious liturgies, violating even some of the norms contained in the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo's General Instruction to the Roman Missal.
Do not feel sorry for the sad figure that is cut by Jorge Mario Bergoglio. No, he carries a full Talmudic Seal of Kosher Approval from the pro-perversity, pro-baby-killing, Christophobic Ant-Defamation League B'Nai Brith. Pray for his conversion to the Catholic Faith.
Oh, yes, he is also not very sympathetic at all to Summorum Pontificum, something that has been noted with great consternation by some in the "recognize but resist" movement.
This is a late hour.
Remember, that we continue to be chastised for our sins. We must suffer this new chastisement well, begging Our Lady to throw the bums out when it is time in God's Holy Providence to do so.
Black smoke, no black smoke. Big deal. The apostates may differ with each other over how to "reform" the workings of the fiscally and morally corrupt Vatican infrastructure. They are as one in their apostasy no matter the shades of it they promote. This is a very brief article. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
This is a brief commentary, written three years ago now, in honor of Pope Saint Gregory the Great. May we pray to Pope Saint Gregory the
Great for the restoration of a true pope on the Throne of Saint Peter, something that is not going to happen as a result of the voting that commences in the Sistine Chapel later today.
Remember this, and remember it well: the men who will be gathering in the Sistine Chapel today are apostates who have expelled themselves from the bosom of Holy Mother Church by virtue of their having defected from various articles contained in the Sacred Deposit of Faith. There is not a Catholic among them who holds to the totality of the Catholic Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication.
Although some of the apostates, such as Filipino longs hot Luis Antonio Tagle, hold to the "hermeneutic of rupture," which is intellectually honest at least, most of the assembled non-cardinals accept some variation of His Apostateness, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, Apostate Emeritus's "hermeneutic of continuity" that he, Ratzinger/Benedict learned so well from the late Hans Urs von Balthasar, whose work he is reviewing yet again as he spends his days at Castel Gandolfo as his successor as head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism is selected (see Proud Of His Blasphemy And Of His Blaspheming Mentor). Chief among the Von Balthasar disciples in the crowd gathering today is the conciliar "archbishop" of Milan, Angelo Scola, who is one of the purported "front runners" to be the next universal public face of apostasy. An article about his election would be relatively easy to write: "Just Take Off Sixteen Years, Presto, Ratzinger's Still 'Pope.'"
God will restore His Holy Church in a miraculous manner that will defy all human predictions.
After all, God did create the universe and everything in it out of nothing.
God did create man from the dust of the earth.
God the Son did become Man in the Virginal and Immaculate Womb of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary by the power of God the Holy Ghost without for one second losing His Sacred Divinity.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ did suffer, die and rise again from the dead on the third day.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ does become present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Most Blessed Sacrament whenever a mere man, a true priest, utters mere words over the mere elements of this passing earth.
And what is your reason for not believing that God is going to restore the Church miraculously in a way that will defy all human predictions?
Remember, this is all a chastisement. Things are going to get much, much worse in the years ahead. Much worse.
No matter what befalls us, though, whether individually or collectively, we are in the loving hands of Our Lady, who holds us in the crossing of her arms and within her very mantle.
Is there anything more that we need?
Just keep praying your Rosaries and be grateful that God has chosen us, as unworthy as we are, to be the instruments by which the seeds of the restoration of His Holy Church may be planted.
Viva Cristo Rey!
Well, I am working on a new article. However, it is past Midnight. I am going to stop. These brief words will have to suffice for today. I will, God willing and Our Lady interceding, have a new article for you tomorrow.
Vast is the wreckage of conciliarism. Vast. A vast number of souls have been devastated by conciliarism's apostasies, blasphemies and sacrileges. Yet it is that this is not at all recognized or admitted by the self-delusional apostates who will convene in the Sistine Chapel late tomorrow afternoon, Rome time. These enemies of Christ the King and deceivers of souls believe that they are in the "springtime" of the Church. It appears that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is not done chastising us, meaning that we we have much worse to suffer until He decides to intervene to put an end to the madness once and for all. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Yes, another article, albeit a relatively brief one, about the "March Madness" that has enveloped the conciliar world. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Frances of Rome, pray for us.
March 8 Articles, Video Lecture Links and Update
As the last three articles have required consecutive early morning postings, it was just not possible to complete the next original article for this site. Indeed, there have been eighteen original articles in the past twenty-four days, some of which have required many, many hours of writing. There was just nothing in the "tank" yesterday to complete the next article, although the article in honor of Saint John of God was revised last evening in various parts. I also corrected several typographical errors in BLAAAAAABBBBERMOUTHS! that I caught only after reviewing its text following the original version of this March 8, 2013, listing. Mea culpa!
After many problems encountered on the day of the recording and when attempting to download the file from a digital video camera into my computer, I am now able to link to Conciliarism and Catholicism, part one and Conciliarism and Catholicism, part two, which was truncated when the camera's memory card became filled to its capacity for file storage. I am sorry for the abrupt ending. I will complete the few points remaining in that lecture at some point soon before continuing on to record the rest of this brief series thereafter. The lectures review the now retired apostate-in-chief lifelong warfare against the nature of dogmatic truth.
This article in honor of
Saint John of God, whose feast is celebrated today, was written three years ago. A lot of hard work went into its completion. I believe it
to be one a piece that will give great consolation to those who have not
as of yet read it.
Saint John of God
was little understood during his life. It was the case that even his
longtime spiritual director, Saint John of Avila, who knew him fairly
well, did not understand his decisions. Saint John of God suffered
from
all manner of slanders and even beatings in his life. He suffered
slanders even up to the point of his own death. It was enough for him
to
be understood by God. It should be enough for us as well, especially
during this time of apostasy and betrayal when so many of us are
misunderstood and castigated by relatives and friends and acquaintances
as being "outside of the Church" for our refusal to make any concessions
to conciliarism or its false shepherds.
We should be grateful that we
are as misunderstood and hated and calumniated as was Saint John of God! Humiliation is something for which we should pray for daily, accepting it when it comes as being sent to us by the very loving hand of God Himself, Who desires to grind us into nothing and be brought low before men in order to be exalted in His sight. If it was good enough for his Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it should be good enough for us.
Our Lady of
the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John of God, pray for us.
As is explained in my preface to this interview, Mrs. Randy Engel has given me permission to republish her recent interview with Dr. Marthe Gautier, a French pediatrician and geneticist whose groundbreaking work discovering the genetic cause of Down's Syndrome (formerly called Mongolism) was claimed by the late Dr. Jerome Lejeune for himself. In other words, he stole her discovery and presented as his own without giving her any credit at all, hardly the stuff of sanctity require for the "canonization" for which he is being advanced in the conciliar structures. Please do take the time to read this informative interview.
There is an update on the condition of Mr. Michael Posillico, who is now at Saint Francis Hospital in Roslyn, Long Island, New York, after having been in Syosset Hospital and Long Island Jewish Hospital.
Michael's twin brother, Marco, forwarded me two days ago now an e-mail he had sent to his extensive list of friends and acquaintances that can be summarized as follows: Michael's infection was bacteria resistant because the staph had grown on a lead of a defibrillating machine's wire that had been installed near his heart several years ago to regulate his heartbeats.
Although Michael's heart was and remains healthy, something caused his body's electrical system to fail, prompting the necessity for the installation of the defibrillator. And the antibiotics that had been given to treat the infection did nothing to kill the staph that had grown on the wire as it was, of course, outside of the bloodstream and thus not receiving any dose of the antibiotics. A very alert doctor, who turns out to be related to the Posillicos, discovered this and performed a very delicate, complex piece of surgery on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, to remove the machine without the sac of bacteria exploding around the heart, something that could have killed Michael.
The road to full recovery, however, is still fraught with difficulties, something that Marco explained in his e-mail immediately after his brother's surgery:
Dr. Durban (the brilliant surgeon) came out and told us the very tricky, delicate surgery was complete(and successful--(Praise God). He removed the defibrillator and the long wires that were attached to it leading into the heart--especially one of them that had the long infection (vegetation) attached to it and cleaned up the whole area around where the machine was put in. We were so thankful and relieved that he survived the long surgery ordeal. He said Michael's heart was not damaged, was normal and even strong (heart of a lion).
The negatives are that when you remove a foreign object from the body-it stirs up a lot of the infection, which flies around the body..our hope is that the antibiotics can now kill it because it can focus on it and not the waste of time on the vegetation that was safely on the wire. This can lead to very high fevers again.
The other negatives are that the X-Rays have shown that Michael suffered extensive lung damage to both lungs--Dr. Durban (who is also a lung surgeon) said we would be frightened to see the X-Rays (apparently as the antibiotics were futilely going after the wire vegetation (which was also growing and fueling the fire) while the infection was damaging the lungs. He is in a medically induced coma while a ventilator runs his breathing--he needs to rest and hopefully the lungs may heal on some level, which may take a long time and he may be in a state of sedation for a few days...
The last negative and more crucially is that Michael's kidneys (after filtering tons of toxicity these last 10 days) have failed and shut down. He will need dialysis if they don't start up again which could be temporary and could not be...so the renal doctor is monitoring this very closely.
The main thing all the doctors agreed on is that Michael is not out of the woods yet and the next 48 hours+ are critical for him, even maybe very stormy.
So I am asking for your continued prayers especially these next two-three days to see how his body reacts to the 10+ days of absolute trauma to it. He has been through such unyielding pain--it has been traumatizing for us to watch.
Please continue to pray for the full recovery of Michael Posillico and for his wife and children and siblings at this time. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for Michael Posillico. Saint Michael the Archangel, protect and defend Michael Posillico.
A very late hour once again. The title of this new commentary should be self-explanatory. In other words, another day, another theater of the absurd as the conciliar apostates and their aides keep blabbing and blabbing and blabbing. This madness is keeping me nights in order to complete these commentaries.
Today is the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic
Doctor whose Scholastic method is so despised by His Apostateness, Benedict XVI, Antipope Emeritus. As the true popes themselves have taught us, no
one who rejects the teaching and method of Saint Thomas Aquinas can ever
be free from the suspicion of error. May this ardent lover of Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Real Presence in the Most
Blessed Sacrament and such a devoted client of the Mother of God,
especially by means of her Most Holy Rosary, help us to reject the ways
of Modernism fostered by the false "pontiff" at the present time,
helping us by so doing to save our souls as we cling only to what the
Catholic Church teaches and nothing else. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray
for us. Saint Thomas Aquinas, O.P., pray for us.
This a "shoot in every direction" sort of article.
Naturalists of the false opposites of the "right" and the "left" get blasted.
So do Peter Turkson and his "pope emeritus," who just received a congratulatory telegram from the "cardinals" who are auditioning to be the next Universal Public Face of Apostasy commending him for his "brilliant Petrine Ministry." For those of you keeping score at home, that is what you call positivism wrapped up in conciliarspeak's revolutionary language ("Petrine Ministry" instead of "Papacy"). And yesterday's proceedings included an apparition by that famed Capuchin Apostate, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M., Cap. Quite a day's work.
Anyhow, this is a fairly lengthy article. As Pope Leo XIII explained in Rerum Novarum that work stoppages should not be undertaken, I continue this work despite the fact that the support is very minimal, although we did receive a non-tax-deductible financial gift yesterday via PayPal that permitted us to pay two pressing bills. We have others yet to pay, however. Check out: Donations page. Thank you.
Today, March 6, 2013, would have been my late mother's ninety-second birthday if she had not died on March 18, 1982, twelve days after her sixty-first birthday, of stomach and esophageal cancer that had been diagnosed on Friday, January 29, 1982, just forty-one days before she died. Please remember her immortal soul in your prayers today.
The past few days have included the anniversaries of the deaths of our good friend Mr. Jerry Meng, who died on February 29, 2012, following stomach removal surgery for abdominal cancer on December 19, 2011, and my maternal grandfather-by-adoption, Chief Red Fox, and my great uncle (my paternal grandfather's brother) John Droleskey, both of whom died on March 1, 1976. "The Chief" died in Corpus Christi, Texas, which is where his adoptive daughter, my mother, died six years later. John Droleskey died in New Hartford, New York, just four months before I moved to Utica, New York, to teach at Mohawk Valley Community College, at which point I met his daughter, Mildred Droleskey Kauth, who died on October 23, 1978, and his son, the late Albert F. "Bud" Droleskey, whose widow Irene has been a vanguard in traditional circles almost from the very beginning.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through, the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
I ask in your charity to keep these souls in your prayers.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Perpetua and Felicity, pray for us.
No, althoughAuditioning To Be The Next Universal Face of Apostasywas a satire, it was not far from the truth. This brief commentary proves that the clownish apostates of the counterfeit church of conciliarism are intent on satirizing themselves. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
I will, believe it or not, have an article about the satire that is the world of naturalist politics and governance here in the United States of America. Sure, I have beaten that one into the ground over the years. However, I did want the lords of Modernity in the world know that I still think about them now and again even though it is, at least for the most part, completely unnecessary to repeat what has been written in hundreds upon hundreds of articles on this site. Just a little bit of attention now and again lets the lords of Modernity know that their satire does not pass entirely unnoticed.
March 3 Articles
Yes, two freshly minted articles for today as I am sure that there was as much disappointment in cyberspace about the absence of one yesterday as we experienced when checking the post office box. Increased views? Decreased responses to the Donations page. It is Lent. Penance is the path to Heaven!
As for the articles, Proud Of His Blasphemy And Of His Blaspheming Mentor discusses His Apostateness, Benedict XVI, Antipope Emeritus's reading material that he has taken with him to Castel Gandolfo (hint: it's a book written by his Hegelian mentor, the late Father Hans Urs von Balthasar) and the second, Giving A Little "Push" To "Getting To Know You", reviews the campaigning that has begun in behalf Peter Turkson, to succeed Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict as the new Universal Public Face of Apostasy (hint: the campaign is from the same folks who shouted "Santo Subito" after Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II died on (officially) Saturday, April 2, 2005.
I am taking today off from writing. Check back on Tuesday. I am sorry. These two should keep you busy for a while (smile).
After reading yesterday's 2:00 p.m. entry, I decided that nothing more needed to be added to it. It is short and to the point. Articles on this site in the past eighteen days have more than amply reviewed the lowlights of the "pontificate" of "His Apostateness, Benedict XVI, Antipope Emeritus."
It was after placing a new post on Meeting the Mets: A Quirky History of a Quirky Team that I discovered an article in The New York Times containing more idiocies spewing forth from the star of Auditioning To Be The Next Universal Face of Apostasy, Timothy Michel Dolan. Deciding to disobey my physician once again, I have stayed up late to deal with those idiocies and to provide a few comments in response to the speech he delivered at the Park Square Synagogue on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Do not look for another article tomorrow. One could appear if something particularly newsworthy breaks. Check back on Saturday if you are around as I check every day in the post office box. We do thank the several people who sent non-tax-deductible financial gifts a few days ago via the snail mail and PayPal. We always need the help of the readers of this site.
Although this article is in skeletal form right now and in need of completion for posting tomorrow morning, I thought it appropriate to post it as is at this time as the arch-heresiarch named Joseph Ratzinger starts to live out his new fantasy as "His Holiness, Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus." A new title for a new religion that was born in a new theology and has been transmitted by means of a new liturgy. We must pray and sacrifice. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Check back tomorrow.
Please keep praying for Mr. Michael Posillico.
February 28 Midnight Update
As noted yesterday, the next article on this site will be posted fourteen hours from now, at precisely 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, at which point Joseph Ratzinger's resignation as "Pope" Benedict XVI becomes effective and he becomes "His Holiness Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus." A new title for a new religion, something that was explored yesterday in Coming Soon: The Two-Headed "Pope" Monster. The next article may be somewhat incomplete. However, what I will have completed in fourteen hours will be supplemented later. After several very long night, I am just not going stay up at this point. Indeed, the title of the next piece is probably pretty much all I have to publish. I will, though, have a bit of commentary as everything is pretty anticlimactic at this point until the Auditioning To Be The Next Universal Face of Apostasy begins in earnest.
On a more somber note, though, I beg your continued prayers for Mr. Michael Posillico, who appears have the antibiotic-resistant "superbug" that s spreading rather rapidly (see Rare superbug emerging in US). His twin brother, Marco Posillico, sent out the following update yesterday afternoon:
My brother Michael is in the ICU Unit of LIJ Hospital with a
severe bacterial staph infection in his blood-it has spread to his lungs in
several spots. I am please asking, even begging all of you to please
storm heaven for his full recovery-they still have not found the specific
organism that has caused this. He is on the strongest antibiotics and he has
almost no movement from his waist up through his neck...the doctors are
baffled and this is a an absolute dogfight....please storm heaven for him, his
wife Maddalena (who has been at his side around the clock) and his 5 very young
children and ask that his namesake St. Michael the Archangel stamp out this
sickness and also through the intercession of all the babies he has saved
from the Pro-Life Holy Hour he ran for 17+ years and from his presence at the
Abortion Mill. Thank you all so much.
Please continue praying for Michael Posillico and his family and very large network of friends. Although God has us elsewhere right now, Long Island will always be my earthly home. We are still blessed to have many good friends there. Michael and Marco have been close friends for a long time now. We are indeed praying to Saint Michael the Archangel to do what the physicians cannot do: wipe out the infection once and for all and restore him to good health.
Stay in a state of Sanctifying Grace at all times. One never knows when we will meet Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as Our Divine Judge at the moment of our Particular Judgment.
May God have mercy on us all as we keep cleaving unto Our Lady to pray for us now, and at the hour of our death.
No, this one is not satire. This is farce given us directly by the apostates within the confines of the Occupy Vatican Movement. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Gabriel of the Seven Sorrows, pray for us.
Included in this article is a link, provided here as well, to a first-ever translation of a condemnation, Ad Quosdam Puseistas Anglicos, issued against false ecumenism issued by the Holy Office of the Inquisition and approved by Pope Pius IX on November 8, 1865: Novus Ordo Watch Exclusive. This is an important document to read and to circulate, especially in these final hours (thirty hours, seven minutes as of the writing of these words) of the soon-to-be "His Holiness Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus" and the days before the beginning of the conclave mocked yesterday in Auditioning To Be The Next Universal Face of Apostasy.
The next article on this site will appear at 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, tomorrow afternoon. The reason for this timing should be pretty apparent.
Kyrie eleison!
February 26 Urgent Prayer Request
A very good friend of ours, Mr. Marco Posillico, telephoned me from Syosset Hospital in Syosset, Long Island, New York, at 5:24 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, to inform me that his twin brother, Michael, was taken to the hospital with a serious infection whose cause is unknown. The "M&M Twins" are known by thousands upon thousands of people throughout the the greater New York metropolitan area. Their whole lives revolve around the Catholic Faith, which they have done so much to promote and to protect.
Michael has had major health problems in the past, including heart problems, and he is only fifty years of age and not in the least overweight. He knows that he has been given this cross by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Along with his devoted wife, Maddalena, and their very large family, Michael is imploring Our Lady to help him at this time as she has pulled him through so many tight spots concerning his health in the past few years. We were happy to see Michael and Marco seven months ago when we had a gathering at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho, New York, during our whirlwind trip back "home." They are the best of friends. Please join us in praying for this great champion of Christ the King and devoted client of His Most Blessed Mother, Mr. Michael Posillico and his wife and children and siblings and countless numbers of friends.
Marco Posillico asks that prayers also be directed to Padre Pio and to Father Salvatore Franco, whose life of fidelity to the Faith was the subject of Home to His Mother in December of 2002, which was written three and one-half years I came to admit publicly the true state of the Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal. I am sure that Father Franco's prayers from eternity helped me in this regard.
A bit of imagination was used in this one. It is not far from the truth. You might get a few chuckles out of this one, that is, if you have a sense of humor (which is what I must have when checking the post office box, although there were two envelopes awaiting me yesterday, for which we thank the senders, who will be sent an e-mail later today; the response to the appeal letter posted twelve days ago has still, though, been pretty terrible). Our Lady of the Rosary, pray of us.
Today is Sharon's mother's eighty-five birthday. Please do pray for Mrs. Claire Collins.
Today is also the fifty-first anniversary of the death of my late paternal grandmother, +Mrs. Adrienne Delfausse Droleskey (yes, I am about one-quarter French-Canadian in ancestry), R.I.P. Please pray for her immortal soul. I do so every day. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen."
Although it is well past my bed time that my neurologist told me to observe, I did want to complete and post my personal reminiscence of the late +John W. Blewett, R.I.P., who died on February 8, 2013, the Feast of Saint John of Matha. This is not a biography of my late friend. No, this is a very personal reminiscence of a man who was blessed with a heart of pure Catholic gold, a man who gave his all for the cause of the Catholic Faith, which he, assisted so well by his widow, Barbara, passed on to their children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Please pray for the repose of this truly one of a Catholic kind's immortal soul and for the consolation of his family at this time. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write this article. Events simply have intervened, and I needed to have a good chunk of time to write this without interruption. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
As the retired conciliar "archbishop" of Hong Kong has courageously denounced the conciliar Vatican's appeasement of the Red Chinese Communist thugs (this site does get a lot of "hits" in Red China, it should be noted, and I do hope that some of the English-speaking thugs there read this commentary), I have dusted off an article from May of 2009, adding a brief preface and a new conclusion to wrap around the original commentary.
Although there have been over sixteen hundred articles published on this site since it went "live" on February 20, 2004, this is one that stands out in my memory bank as a comprehensive treatment of the counterfeit church of conciliarism's "new ecclesiology" as it has been practiced with respect to Red China. Newer readers of this site who have not read it before will find a lot of useful information in the commentary. Older readers will have their memories refreshed.
Well, do not look for another article tomorrow. I think I am going to have to take it easy today as it is still an effort to bang away at the keyboard even with a bit of improvement from the horrible medication that I am taking right now, which is penance its own right. Thank you for your patience.
All right, all right. It's only around 7:25 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, on Friday, February 22, 2013, the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter in Antioch, the Commemoration of Saint Paul and Ember Friday in Lent (which is a day of fast and total abstinence). However, as the anti-inflammatory medication, Mobic, that was prescribed to deal with the headaches is causing great fatigue (the "cure" sometimes is far worse than the affliction), I will be need in slumber sooner rather than later after we pray our family Rosary tonight. The February 23, 2013, date is being used as most people who access it will do tomorrow or sometime thereafter.
This commentary deals with the recent revelation that a nest of perverts exists within the confines of the Occupy Vatican Movement. That this nest has existed is no surprise. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, the outgoing conciliar "pontiff," is reported to have been so shocked by this news after it was delivered to him by a commission of "cardinals" assigned to investigate the Vatileaks scandal that he decided to resign in order to let his "successor" handle the problem. The real scandal here is that Ratzinger/Benedict was "shocked" by the report delivered to him by his three faux "cardinals." This just proves once again that is as oblivious to obvious signs of perverted inclinations as he is to the nature of dogmatic truth as defined by the Catholic Church.
It is impossible, however, to deal with all of the news about the false "pope's" impending resignation. There is just too much of it. And, to be honest, most of the stories are just variations of different conciliar themes. If--and only if--Ratzinger/Benedict says anything unusually extraordinary by his standards in his farewell "general audience" gala on Wednesday, February, 27, 2013, then I will have something to say. As noted a few days ago, though, I think that the recent four-part series was a decent, although hardly comprehensive and exhaustive, review of the past nearly eight years of apostasy, blasphemy, sacrilege and betrayal.
My personal reflection about the late Mr. John W. Blewett should be published tomorrow, Sunday, February 24, 2013, the Second Sunday in Lent. Thank you for your patience.
Nope. Nothing in the post office on Friday. Perhaps tomorrow.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter Damian, pray for us. Saint Mathias, pray for us.
February 22 Update
I am sorry to disappoint you with no new article today. Just consider how I felt yesterday when I looked into our post office box after an absence of two days to find nothing. (There have been two responses via the snail mail and three via PayPal to last week's appeal even though nearly one thousand people have accessed Mister Asteroid Is Looking Pretty Good Right About Now. All in God's Holy Providence.)
Work on the next article will continue today. We had much to do yesterday upon our return from our trip to see the neurologist. I am behind on many projects, including a brief commentary about the decision of the German "bishops'" conference to endorse the "morning after" abortifacient (see Crushed By The Weight Of Error, part two) and the outgoing German in the Vatican allegedly being oblivious to the presence in the Apostolic Palace of practitioners of sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandment. Why not be oblivious to this? After all, he is oblivious to Catholic doctrine.
Our Lady of Good Success, pray for us. Saint Peter, pray for us. Saint Paul, pray for us.
February 21 Update and Correction
Well, we have returned home after a long and rather grueling drive so that I could be examined by a very fine Catholic neurologist, who was very thorough.
The concussion I suffered thirty-eight days ago now carried with it, according to the CT-Scan, no serious complications (no signs of hemorrhage or a stroke or fractures). The inflammation causing the headaches will be treated with a prescription anti-inflammatory medicine for several weeks. The doctor also prescribed between seven and nine hours of sleep per night. He then noted, "I wish that I took that advice!" Perhaps I will do. I do recall a traditional priest, attached to the Society of Saint Pius X since 2003, who told us in 2002, "It's rest in peace, not now." Indeed. That having been noted, don't look for that next article until tomorrow!
Finally, I have to make a correction.
Mrs. Bernice Jones was kind enough to write yesterday to correct the notice that I had posted yesterday morning at around 2:00 a.m., explaining that she is not the driving force behind Life Guardian Foundation. Her words are moving, and I endorse them whole-heartedly:
I wanted to let you know that Life Guardian Foundation is solely Dr. Byrne¹s, not mine. Life Guardian Foundation, the name, the website and contents thereof are his work product. I opened the website originally and then turned everything over to him. It was then, and continues to be, my hope to promote him and his lifelong work. Also, I work to promote him as a leader in the pro-life movement - an authoritative leader!! It is my hope the pro-life groups will listen to Dr. Byrne and follow his lead under his direction. All of the work, all of the literature provided, is Dr. Byrne's. I just try to help Dr. Byrne in any way I can. Trust me, I do very little! It is an honor to serve him in any way I can.
I know of no one whose ability to educate surpasses Dr. Byrne. I know of no educator in his field who holds his level of expertise and who, at the same time, holds fast to the Catholic teaching as he does without compromise. He is a giant of the Catholic faith and a great man whose humility I so admire. I give thanks to God for him and all that he taught me and what I continue to learn. He is a good friend and I and my family are blessed to have him in our lives. I am a student, not a leader. I continue to read and listen to the good instruction I receive. I realize I have much, much more to learn!
Had it not been from my son, Brandon, having paid the ultimate price in his true death, I would not have sought the knowledge I have. I did not know to seek this knowledge prior. I take no credit for what I have learned. I take no credit for anything. It is not mine to hold. I am simply the mother of Brandon and student of Dr. Paul Byrne.
It is heartbreaking to read the words of other mothers who, like me, receive knowledge and understanding of the intrinsic evil of the organ transplant industry after-the-fact; after having suffered the loss of their child. I continue to pray that this evil empire will be stopped. I trust in God for He is good and he is faithful!!
May those of you who have yet to be convinced that "brain death" is nothing other than a myth created by the medical industry designed to kill living human beings in order to make a profit off of their vital body members consider Mrs. Jones's words with care. Thank you.
It is now time for me to take the doctor's advice, well, at least for one night. Check back tomorrow for the next article.
This must be brief as it is approaching 1:30 a.m., on Ember Wednesday in Lent and we have a very, very long automobile trip so that I can be examined by a Catholic neurologist this afternoon.
This new article, which is mercifully brief, does not review anything Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has said in the past two days. This article also does not touch upon what "papal" apologists such as Dr. Robert Moynihan of Inside the Vatican have written about Ratzinger/Benedict's "vision" for what he thinks is the Catholic Church. There is no need for writing anything as I wrote about Dr. Moynihan's wishful thinking in Perhaps Judas Was the First to Sing "A Kiss is Just a Kiss" and have written about Ratzinger/Benedict's "vision" for a "smaller church" in Orthodox Heterodoxy.
There is also no need to make much comment on the fact that Gerhard Ludwig Muller, the prefect of the counterfeit church of conciliarism's so-called Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, was dealt a body blow by the Occupy Vatican Movement's Secretary of State, Tarcisio "Cardinal" Bertone, when Muller sought to reverse the conciliar "archbishop" of Lima's censure on a Catholic university in conciliar captivity that was advancing "liberation theology," something near and dear to Muller's apostate, Modernist heart (see Battle in Vatican Leaves CDF's "Archbishop" Gerhard Ludwig Müller Routed by "Cardinal" Tarcisio Bertone).
I will only point out the simple fact that the criticism leveled on a semi-traditional European website at Muller for his "informality" and perhaps his "unsuitability" the position he holds is comical as he was hand picked by none other than Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who is also a firm defender of the nefarious Bertone, who will be given a bit of attention on this site in about four days or so. Only in the Hegelian world of paradox and contradiction in which Ratzinger/Benedict can appoint men who have different views as to what constitutes "orthodoxy" in the false religion of concilairism. I mean, Muller did not invite himself to the palazzo at Via Ufficio 11 in Rome just across from the Bernini Colonnade. He is there because Ratzinger/Benedict wanted him to be there. Enough on this. It's almost 1:45 a.m.!
Time was reserved at our local library on Monday, February 18, 2013, to start a new video lecture series. Making a long story as short as is possible given my limited abilities, the cheap, made-in-Red China-by-slave-labor tripod broke, forcing me to lean the camera on the tripod against a a wall. It took some time to position the camera against a wall before I could begin the recording, which went well until the camera's memory card stopped the camera from recording just as I was reaching the end of the hour long lecture. I have to rectify this at some point upon our return home. Penance is better than ever in 2013. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.
Mrs. Bernice Jones, who promotes the work of Dr. Paul Byrne on the Life Guardian Foundation website and whose moving, tragic story about the medical industry's manufactured, money-making myth called "brain death" was recounted in Dispensing With The Pretense of "Brain Death", sent out an e-mail to her extensive list of contacts two days ago to promote a new website, Melissa Caulk, which provides educational information about the origins of the body-snatching industry and its mode of operation. Mrs. Caulk is the author of The History of Organ Transplants and Brain Death. Please do inform yourselves lest you be deceived into thinking that is an act of "charity" to "give the gift of life" by permitting yourselves or one of your family members to be carved up alive as the only way that vital human body members can be "transplanted" is if they are taken from a living human being.
The next article on this site should appear on Friday, February 22, 2013, the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter in Antioch and Ember Friday in Lent. It will be a personal reflection on the life of a great Catholic gentleman, Mr. John W. Blewett, who died on February 8, 2013, at the age of eighty-four. His widow, Mrs. Barbara Blewett, was kind enough to telephone us on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, with this news. Although it had been over eight years since last we had seen John and nearly ten since we last saw Barbara, we have long remembered them in our prayers and treasure the many wonderful times that we spent together. John was truly one of a Catholic kind! Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
With this conclusion of the series started three days ago, my good and very few readers, I think that I have about exhausted the subject of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Mind you, I will continue to write about some of the events leading up to the "conclave" next month. However, there is a limit to the number of times that a man with a pounding head can try to repeat the same themes and try to say coherent while doing so. Enough is quite enough of this madness.
There might not be a new article tomorrow, although I may highlight some older ones dealing with Bishop Bernard Fellay's intellectual gymnastics that defy rational comprehension. The Superior General said within our own hearing on November 7, 2004, that he wanted no part of what he called the "conciliar zoo." Yet he is that he is still seeking entrance into the zoo, hoping that the next "pope" will grant him admission. Again, no need to write on this. I have done so in the past. I am simply too tired at the present time to provide you with the links.
Keep praying your Rosaries!
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. Saint Simeon, pray for us. Saint Marie-Bernarde Soubirous, pray for us.
This is the part three of what has become a four-part series that started on Friday, February 15, 2013. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Remember, there has been a Donations page update made three days ago now. Three people have responded via PayPal. It is still too early to see the results in our usually quite empty post office box. Thank you.
Although a little radioactive at the moment (a lot of people have long considered me "radioactive," among other choice descriptions), here is part two of yesterday's article. (All right, all right, all right. I know. This is being posted around 9:30 p.m., on Friday, February 15, 2013. This is one night when I am trying to get to sleep before Midnight or thereafter. There may be a gap of several days next week after the publication of two more articles as we travel to see the neurologist, who will have the result of today's CT-SCAN by then.)
This is part one of what will be a three-part series on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's valedictory address yesterday, Thursday, February 14, 2013, the Thursday after Ash Wednesday and the Commemoration of Saint Valentine, to the "bishops" and clergy of the Diocese of Rome as it is held in conciliar captivity.
Part two of this series may not appear until Sunday as I am to undergo at CT-SCAN locally in less than eleven hours, the results of which will be sent the neurologist who will examine me next week in a location nearly seven hours from where we live. The neurologist was kind enough to write yesterday to state that it was his belief, based upon the symptoms that I described to him, that I am indeed suffering from a concussion. Penance is better than ever in 2013, and I need it more than anyone else!
Your prayers, though, would be appreciated at this time (as would a nice response to the Donations page).
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Faustinus and Jovita, pray for us.
Although I would love to have a new article for you at a time when all manner of people are trying to assess who the next conciliar "pope" will be (as I keep trying to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, he will be an apostates), that will have to wait for another day. I am just physically unable to do so, and I will not permit the conciliarists to finish me off now!
I have, though, updated the Donations page for the first time in three months. Thank you for your consideration of the appeal.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Valentine, pray for us.
Caesar spoke last night. The Patriarch of Venice gave his response in a prophetic manner one hundred seventeen years earlier. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. (This is one of the briefest articles in the nearly nine years of this site's online presence. February 20, 2013, marks the ninth anniversary of the site's going "live" to continue the work of the Christ or Chaos print journal that was published from August of 1996 to June of 2003.)
This is "one stop shopping" for all of your apostate resignation needs, providing an updated and revised summary of the "lowlights" of the past 2856 days of the tenure of the Modernist Joseph Ratzinger as "Pope" Benedict XVI. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. The Seven Holy Founders of the Order of Servites, pray for us.
Two brief Lenten reflections, The Royal Road to Victory and From Dust Unto Dust, 2013, have been revised and republished prior to the beginning of Lent tomorrow, Ash Wednesday, Quadragesima, February 13, 2013.
Barack Obama/Barry Soetoro may be speaking later tonight. However, as I have to make arrangements today for medical examinations to begin on my concussed head after spending yesterday taking Sharon for an emergency chiropractor visit (one that helped her greatly) in a different city, I will have to wait to provide a commentary on the reigning caesar's State of the Totalitarian Union Message to be delivered tonight. Check back on Thursday, February 14, 2013, the Thursday after Ash Wednesday and the Commemoration of Saint Valentine.
February 11 Articles and Apostate Resignation Update
A non-Catholic friend of mine left a voice message for me at 6:44 a.m. to inform me of the pending resignation of Joseph Ratzinger as "Pope" Benedict XVI, effective February 28, 2013, a Lenten ferial day. Although we must take Sharon for emergency treatment by a chiropractor (my own ailments are secondary at the moment), suffice it to say that I will relate to you what I told the legendary Father Harry Marchosky in Veneta, Oregon, back in November of 2003 when he asked me, "When is this pope [John Paul II] going to die?" My response was this: "There's no guarantee, Father, that the next one will be any better."
Well, as I came to realize a little over two years later, the conciliar "popes" are not true and legitimate Successors of Saint Peter. No one can point to a single member of the conciliar church's college of cardinals who possesses the totality of the Catholic Faith. Each believes in one or more of the conciliar apostasies. Most offend God by staging the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service. Most have engaged in acts of false ecumenism and have publicly praised one conciliar apostasy after another.
We pray for a true Successor of Saint Peter to be elevated to the his Holy See in a manner known only to God. What happens in the coming seventeen days, however, will not produce such a true successor.
If only I had known! Gerhard Ludwig Muller was in Houston, Texas, where I have kith and kin (and where there are two very fine true priests at Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, about twenty-five miles south of downtown Houston, who make no concessions to conciliarism), three days ago. If only I had known.
I did not know. So, throbbing head and all, I decided to write a brief article on Muller's visit to Houston. The article took longer to complete than I would have liked as it is very difficult to work at the computer. I am afraid that you may have to wait until Ash Wednesday for the next article, which will deal with General Secretary Obama/Soetoro's State of the Union Message. I will have a republished article for you tomorrow, Shrove Tuesday.
Today is the one hundred
fifty-fifth anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady to Saint
Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes, France.
Our Lady explained to the fourteen year-old Bernadette that we must do
penance for our sins and for those of others. Can we do any less in our
day?
It is very early on the Feast of Saint Cyril of Alexandria. My head continues to ache as a just chastisement for my many sins.
This is a very short article. I invite readers to spend a few moments of their time reading it.
Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Cyril of Alexandria, pray for us.
Late night update: It was my hope at 2:00 a.m. this morning to be physically able to write a new article for posting tomorrow, Quinqagesima Sunday. In God's Holy Providence--and as my sins richly deserve, though, this day, Saturday, February 9, 2013, has been particularly penitential insofar as the severity of the headaches caused by that bonk on the head on Monday, January 14, 2013. Believe it or not, it is very difficult to write at this point. I hope to be better later tomorrow to have another short article posted to accompany my republished article on the Feast of the Apparition of Our Lady of Lourdes. Thanks again for your patience.
That's what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is doing as he makes of the devil's appearance in the Garden of Eden as a serpent nothing more than that an allegory of "oriental fertility cults." No, I cannot make any of this up. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John of Matha, ransom us from this time of apostasy and betrayal.
Things are still a little slow-going with the new computer and as a result of the continued headaches caused by that concussion I suffered twenty-five days ago now and from which I thought I had recovered. Not quite. Penance is better than ever in 2013! Thank you for your patience. I will try to have a new article posted tomorrow.
This part two of yesterday's article, which was posted after 6:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, last evening. I am trying to play "catch up" as a result of the death of my old notebook computer and the installation of features on the new computer that are needed to keep this site up and running.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Titus, pray for us. Saint Dorothy, pray for us.
We live in a world shaped by the anti-Incarnational errors of Modernity with which the lords of Modernism have made their "official" reconciliation. The figures of Antichrist in the world are crushing us as the figures of Antichrist in the counterfeit of conciliarism indemnify them at every turn.
This is not a new phenomenon. Most of the world's bishops and priests were asleep at the switch in the decades before the "Second" Vatican Council. This is why most Catholics were lulled by the apparent sense of order and ease in the 1950s to accepting the social, ecclesiastical and liturgical revolutions in the 1960s and thereafter. This is all the result of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolution in the Sixteenth Century and cemented by the rise of the various naturalist philosophies and "ideologies" associated with Judeo-Masonry.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Agatha, pray for us. Saint Titus, pray for us. Saint Dorothy, pray for us.
February 4 Late Night Update
It had been my intention to have a new article for you all by early this morning. Unfortunately, the notebook computer on which this site's articles have been written for thirty months now died a rather ignominious death yesterday morning. This necessitated the hunt for a new computer, whose purchase was made possible by an unexpected gift that was awaiting me at the post office box this afternoon. Although the gift could have been used to pay a few bills, I do need to have a functioning computer to keep this site up and running. We are very grateful to the kind people who made possible the purchase of the new computer.
As most of you can imagine, it's taken all day today to find a computer and then to start the long, laborious process of getting various programs installed, including the Adobe Contribute program that supports the publication of every page on this site. This has required accessing long lost information (usernames, passwords, etc.), a process that has taken over five hours since my return home at 4:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, this afternoon. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you. Save souls! Penance is better than ever in 2013. It really is better this than Purgatory--or worse!
This is a long way of informing you that the next article on this site will be posted late tomorrow or on Wednesday. I am sorry for the delay. There is much about which to write. However, I am simply not going to attempt to start an article now after dealing with the various problems that have arisen in the past thirty-six hours.
Thank you for your patience.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Andrew Corsini, pray for us. Saint Agatha, pray for us.
This particular bit of mud wrestling features Jose H. Gomez and Roger Mahony. The typical proviso applies to this commentary as to past ones concerning the moral septic tank that is the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in conciliar captivity. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Blase, pray for us.
Today is the sixth anniversary of the death of Sharon's father, John Griffith Collins III, who returned to the Faith on January 3, 2007, after an absence of seventy years. Please remember his immortal soul in your prayers. Thank you.
Eternal rest grant unto John Griffith Collins, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Today is the Feast of the
Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, always the humble handmaid of
the Lord who humbled herself this day, the last day of Christmastide,
which ends after Holy Mass this morning, by submitting to the rituals of
the law although she was not in need of such a ritualistic purification
because of her Perpetual Virginity. This is the day that Our Lady
presented her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in
the same Temple where He would be found twelve years later answering
questions of the rabbis, the same Temple whose curtain would be torn in
two from top to bottom as He breathed His last on the wood of the Holy
Cross to redeem us, thereby signifying the permanent end of the Old
Covenant and the supersession of Judaism by Catholicism as the true
religion.
The aged Simeon, who waited patiently every day in
the Temple for the fulfillment of the promise that God had made to him,
that he would not die before his eyes had seen and his arms had beheld
the Messiah, sent the first Sword of Sorrow plunging through Our Lady's
Sorrowful and and Immaculate Heart when he prophesied that the Child he
beheld would be destined for the rise and for the fall of man, a sign to
be opposed, a Sign of Contradiction.
We must never fear to be signs of contradiction in
our own lives in imitation of the THE Sign of Contradiction, Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as He hung on the wood of the Holy Cross
to redeem us as he was mocked and reviled by the very people from whose
stock He had taken His Sacred Humanity. We must be willing to suffer
all manner of calumny and humiliation for the many times that we have
preferred human respect to fidelity to Our Lord, for the many times we
have refused to call upon Our Lady's maternal intercession, for the many
times we have refused to "take sides," especially in our day by
refusing to reject conciliarism and its ravenous wolves once and for
all. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us! Saint Joseph, Patron of
the Universal Church and Protector of the Faithful, pray for us.
It was my hope to have another original article published by this time. However, several late nights this week have caught up with me. It is possible for a brief article to be posted later today, followed by another tomorrow.
Although it is sad the external signs of a "forbidden faith" removed from public view, far sadder is the destruction of the all vestiges of the Catholic Church's doctrinal teaching, liturgical rites and pastoral praxis that has reduced former Catholic parishes to the point of physical rubble. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Ignatius of Antioch, pray for us.
Several good souls helped us last week. The post office box has been pretty lonely the past few days. Thank you for remembering that the bills do not stop coming simply because I get tired of providing a reminder and have not had time to update the donations page since November.
The signs may indicate that one is approaching a "Catholic" hospital. That, however, is far from any assurance that the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law will be observed in the treatment and care of human beings. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us. Saint John Bosco, pray for us.
This is brief, republished
reflection on the life and work to this Saint, who holds a very special
place in the hearts of each member of our own family. Our Lady, Help of
Christians, pray for us. Saint John Bosco, pray for us.
A brief essay on the importance of the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, which is rejected by most people alive today in favor of seeking "understanding" and "absolution by means of the mass media and so-called "social networking." Our Lady, Queen of Mercy, pray for us.
Although there have been a number of news stories in recent weeks about various scandals involving conciliar presbyters, including on who committed suicide, I am completely and utterly uninterested in writing any more on these topics. The moral rot in the counterfeit church of conciliarism is just a reflection of the doctrinal and liturgical rot that has infected it since Angelo Roncalli was "elected" on October 28, 1958 (see Finding Conciliarism's Irreducible Minimum At Long Last, part two) and was "perfected" by his "successor," "Blessed" Paul The Sick and continued by Karol Wojtyla/John Paul (see, for example, "Canonizing" A Man Who Protected Moral Derelicts). There is really nothing more to say.
Check back tomorrow for the next article. Thank you.
A late hour. This brief commentary is about the recent decision by outgoing United States Secretary of Defense Leon Edward Panetta, a pro-abortion Catholic who remains in perfectly good standing in the structures of counterfeit church of concilairism and who was praised recently by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI for "helping to protect the world" (see Forty Years Of Emboldening, Appeasing And Enabling Killers, part one), to lift al remaining de jure restrictions on women in combat in the armed forces of the United States of America. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Francis de Sales, pray for us.
What does truth matter, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton?
Not much. Not much at all if you are willing to offend God and further risk the fires of Hell.
What does truth matter to her husband, former President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton?
Are you serious?
What does truth matter to Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro or to Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.?
What does truth matter to the hapless opponents of the "left" in the organized crime family of the false opposite of the naturalist "right"?
Well, about as much as the truths expressed by Saint John Chrysostom about the ancient enemies of the Catholic Faith matter to Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI.
Revised: Preparing for Lenten Penances
Today is Septuagesima Sunday. Lent begins in but seventeen days.
Easter is exactly nine weeks way. It is time to start our preparations
for Lent, time to start thinking about the penances we are
going to undertake starting on Ash Wednesday in order to make
reparation for our sins and those of the whole world as we prepare to
enter deep into the mysteries of the Paschal Triduum of Our Blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection on
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The purple vestments
representing a penitential season of Holy Mother Church make their
reappearance today to remind us that we must be deadly serious about
the business of making the best Lent of our lives as we do not know
whether this Lent will be our last one on the face of this earth--or
whether we will even live to see the end of this particular
Lent! Let us use this time well as the consecrated slaves of Our
Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart of Mary, praying as many Rosaries each day as our
states-in-life permit.
Our Lay of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint John Chrysostom, pray for us.
Well, here is a 3:15 a.m. posting for your reading pleasure, thus competing a two-part series begun two days ago now. It is not light reading. Take your time as I might be unable to have an article posted tomorrow, Septuagesima Sunday.
We are grateful to the five people who have responded via PayPal in the last six days to the request for urgent assistance that has been posted on this home page. Enough has been raised to pay the wireless bill that was due on January 5, 2013. Another regular donor is putting a check in the mail. This site, however, has far more readers who are (a) supportive of its work and (b) able to make a five or ten dollar non-tax-deductible financial gift. I can only beseech those of you who have not as of yet made a tax-deductible financial gift to do so. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Polycarp, pray for us.
January 25 Articles
Although it was my intention to post part two of yesterday's commentary today, recent news reports require that I pay Roger Michael Mahony a bit of attention, which I attempted to in Corrupt Chickens Come Home To Roost In Roger's Nest Of Apostates, an article that must be not be read by the young or by those who want to avoid any discussion of the moral corruption in the conciliar church.
Another short article, Model of Conversion: Saint Paul The Apostle, contrasts Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's personal intervention to effect the conversion of Saul of Tarsus with conciliarism's refusal to seek with urgency the unconditional conversion of all non-Catholics to the true Faith.
Part two of yesterday's article will be published tomorrow, God willing and Our Lady interceding, Saturday, January 26, 2013, the Feast of Saint Polycarp. The outgoing Secretary of State will be featured in the article to be posted on Septuagesima Sunday, January 27, 2013, the Commemoration of Saint John Chrysostom.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Paul the Apostle, pray for us. Saint Peter, pray for us.
This is part one of a two-part series dealing with "Archbishop" Joseph Augustine Di Noia's recently leaked Advent letter to Bishop Bernard Fellay and the priests of the Society of Saint Pius X.
The donations page will be updated later today as the post office box has been empty now for seven straight business days. We face a drop dead extension deadline of Monday, January 28, 2013, to pay the remainder of the bill to keep the wireless device up and running. We received eighty dollars aggregately from two different readers two days ago now, leaving us one hundred sixty-three dollars short of the amount to be paid for an usage overage that occurred in November when uploading the first sets of video lectures on You Tube. And this is to say nothing of other bills and ordinary expenses that we must meet.
All I can do once again at a late hour after a day of dealing with a frozen water pipe caused by a failed electrical heating tape system that had to be replaced, thanks to the hard work and generosity of a good Catholic gentleman who donated his labor and provided money to repair the problem, in the midst of the arctic cold wave that has envelope much of the eastern half of the nation is to ask those who support the work of this site and who have the financial wherewithal to make even a modest non-tax-deductible financial gift to do so as soon as possible. We really need your help.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Timothy, pray for us.
The title of this article says it all about the speech given yesterday by General Secretary Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro. I did not watch or listen to the speech. I read the text online. That was enough. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Saints Vincent and Anastasius, pray for us.
This is the completion of my recent series dealing with the fortieth anniversary of the decisions of
the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. The article is a revision and adaptation of earlier ones that have appeared on this site in the last several years.
We should, if it is at all possible, spend time in
prayer before Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Real Presence
in the Most Blessed Sacrament today, making reparation to Him through
the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for the crimes against the
Fifth and Sixth Commandments that have occurred, crimes that have been
made more possible, of course, because the conciliar revolutionaries,
starting with the conciliar "popes" themselves, have seen fit to break
openly and unrepentantly the First and Second Commandment, thus far.
We
ask Our Lady by means of her Most Holy Rosary to beg her Divine Son,
Christ the King, for the conversion of our own beloved nation to His
Social Reign. It is only the restoration of Christendom as the fruit of
the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and thus the vanquishing of
the lords of Modernity in the world and Modernism in the counterfeit
church of conciliarism that will see an end to the daily slaughter of
babies and souls that take place under cover of the civil law. Our Lady
of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Vincent and Anastasius, pray for us.
The next two articles on this site, to be published, God willing and Our Lady interceding, on Thursday and Friday, will deal with "Archbishop" Joseph Augustine Di Noia's recent effort to help Bishop Bernard Fellay to find his own personal "hermeneutic of continuity." I am going to take my time with these two articles as I need to conserve strength while continuing to recover from the concussion I suffered eight days ago.
Finally, I have tried to made it clear in the past few days that we face pretty imminent termination (next Monday, to be precise) of the wireless service that connects this computer to the internet. I incurred a data overage charge in November of 2012 that did not show up until last month. Part of that bill was paid a few weeks ago. A substantial part remains unpaid. Other bills are due. We had to use money sent to us monthly by generous friends that is earmarked most months for our lot rent for some of those expenses.
No one has responded via PayPal to recent appeals placed on this home page. And my weakened physical condition has not permitted me to check the post office box. I do hope that the situation changes within the next day or so. If the 226 people who viewed the first part of my election series on You Tube sent five dollars a month, you see, we could pay about two-thirds of our monthly bills. We simply need your non-tax-deductible financial gifts now. Please consider helping us. Thank you.
January 21 Article
As I have not slept more than four or five hours in the past week since suffering that mild concussion, it was not possible for me to complete two different articles that I intended to post today. One of those is the third part of my series pertinent to the fortieth anniversary of the decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, January 22, 1973. The other one concerns the effort being made by "Archbishop" Joseph Augustine Di Noia to help Bishop Bernard Fellay to find his "hermeneutic of continuity." It is my hope to have both articles posted for you by tomorrow, January 22, 2013, the Feast of Saint Vincent and Anastasius and, of course, the fortieth anniversary of decriminalized baby-killing up to and including the day of birth in the United States of America on a nationwide basis. Thank you for your patience. I beg your prayers.
In the meantime, though, please not the article posted yesterday, taking note as well of all of the fact that links are to be found on the Articles. The final videos in the series were uploaded yesterday into this morning. It was a long and very expensive process, something that I addressed yesterday (see below).
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Agnes, pray for us.
This is the second part of a three part series that will conclude tomorrow.
Today is the formal inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro to a second term as President of the United States of America. Although I will have a brief commentary about this utter demagogue and statist's inaugural address that will be given on Monday, January 21, 2013, the Feast of Saint Agnes, during his ceremonial inauguration posted by Tuesday, January 22, 2013, the Feast of Saints Vincent and Anastasius, we must remember to pray for Obama/Soetoro and his family. They have souls that have been redeemed by the shedding of every single drop of the Most Precious Blood of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ during His Passion and Death. It is our filial duty under the precepts of the Fourth Commandment to pray for our public officials, especially for the conversion of those who support such grave evils and who commit such statist crimes under cloak of the civil law and in the name of "liberty" and "equality" has does Obama/Soetoro, a man with a manufactured biography and a completely delusional sense of righteous, sanctimonious infallibility.
Although seven more videos are in the process of being uploaded to You Tube, I have linked to sixteen videos that have been uploaded (very, very, very, very slowly!) in the past five days. This brings the total up to sixty-one videos thus far. The current upload when end when the seventh and final of these lectures that has yet to complete the uploading process has been placed "live" on You Tube. Thank for your patience. I will begin a series on "Concilairism and Catholicism" in March (I need a break!) and provide an American government course a few months later, God willing and Our Lady interceding.
The recently uploaded videos are linked on theArticlespage of this site.
As I have noted, the uploading process is very costly. We need your help with this and with our bills this month that remain unpaid. I appeal especially to those who support the work of this site and have never sent any non-tax-deductible financial gift and, most importantly, who have the means to support the work of this site with even a modest five to ten dollar gift. Thank you.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saints Fabian and Sebastian, pray for us.
This is the first of a three part series leading up to the fortieth anniversary of the heinous decisions rendered by the Supreme Court of the United States of America in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, January 22, 1973. The focus in part one is on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and outgoing United States Secretary of Defense Leon Edward Panetta. Part two will focus on the Governor of the States of New York, Andrew Mark Cuomo. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Peter, pray for us. Saint Paul, pray for us. Saint Prisca, pray for us.
Finally, we receive some privately solicited assistance for an unexpected expense a few days ago. We do have regular bills to pay. As I am in the process of uploading the remaining videos in my Living in the Shadow of the Cross lecture program, a process that is taking a very long time, we are going to need non-tax-deductible financial gifts to pay the remainder of last month's bill for the uploading, to say nothing of the current month's bill. There are, of course, other expenses. We simply need, as always, more people to join those who continue to be so very good to us. (I also have to have some seed money to buy the discs on which to copy the entire series of lectures for those who have given one hundred dollars or more to us in the past year.)
Please continue to pray for my health. That concussion I suffered four days ago is causing my head to throb rather much. It is good penance. However, I am going to have to pace myself in the course of the next few days. Please bear with me. I am trying to be as productive as possible. Thank you.
January 17 Update
I spent four hours yesterday recording the final eight lectures in the Living in the Shadow of the Cross lecture program. I am now in the process of uploading twelve videos, including those recorded on January 8, 2013. Another four videos will need to be uploaded after the current uploads are complete. Assuming that the current videos do not exceed the twenty gigabyte monthly permitted by each wireless billing cycle, I will upload the final four lectures later today.
I hope to have to new article for you tomorrow, the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter in Rome and the beginning of the Chair of Unity Octave.
Other than being a bit tired from the recordings, it is prudent for me not to attempt to write an article now, shortly after Midnight, Eastern Standard Time, on the Feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot, as it is possible that I suffered a mild concussion when I, a consummate idiot in many things, accidently slammed the lid of our now former automobile's trunk square on my skull. (Yes, I thought that I had pulled back my head sufficiently after placing some dry cleaned items in the trunk.) Our physician has told me to rest. I will make a concession in this regard in not attempting to write a new article now. I thank you for your patience and ask you for your prayers.
Penance is better than ever in 2013! All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls! This is really better than Purgatory--or worse.
Another day, another American military intervention in the never-ending "global war on terror" as the global war of terrorism against the innocent preborn continues unabated. Watch out. Our slave drivers are in "liberation mode" yet again! Our Lady of Prompt Succor, pray for us. Saint Paul the Abbot, pray for us. Saint Maurus, pray for us.
We live in a world without mercy. The world in which we live is but the consequence of the "reconciliation" made by the lords of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism with the lords of Modernity in the world. This commentary is designed to provide a bit of Catholic perspective on the situation facing us at this time. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Hilary, pray for us. Saint Felix, pray for us.
Today is the Feast of the Holy Family, which is celebrated on the Saturday within within the Octave of the Epiphany this year, 2013, as there is no intervening Sunday within the Octave .
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ chose to become Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal
and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed
Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, and place Himself, the Co-Equal and
Co-Eternal Son of God the Father, under subjection to mere creatures His
Most Blessed Mother, the fairest flower of our race, and to Good Saint
Joseph, his foster-father. The subjection of the God-Man to the
authority of His Most Blessed Mother and his foster-father, whom He had
chosen from all eternity to provide Him with the earthly love and care
and stewardship of a father seeking only to please God with his every
thought, word an deed, teaches us that we, who came from families and
who, in many instances, are raising families of our own, must be subject
to all legitimate authority, duly constituted, in all things that do
not pertain to sinful commands.
Children are supposed to learn this subjection in the
household from their tenderest days, seeing in their fathers the image
of Saint Joseph and in their mothers the image of Our Lady. Children are
supposed to realize that God in the very Flesh obeyed His creatures in
the Holy Family of Nazareth. So must they.
Parents must, for their part, foster an atmosphere
within the family of selflessness, charity, forgiveness and joy,
centering the family's life on daily assistance at the Holy Sacrifice of
the Mass (if at all possible), regular time spent in prayer before the
Blessed Sacrament, the daily recitation of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary,
supplications to Our Lady's Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph, home
enthronement to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart
of Mary, Total Consecration to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
through the same Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scriptural reading and
family reading time, especially about the lives of the saints, and a
refusal to participate in the rot of popular culture. This requires
sacrifice and the willingness to be misunderstood, calumniated and
rejected even by one's own family members as we protect our children
from those cultural currents that come from the devil and are designed
to lead each of us to Hell for all eternity.
To eschew worldliness one must be ready to embrace
the Holy Poverty of the Holy Family of Nazareth, detaching oneself from
the material acquisitiveness of our consumer society, shaped by
Judeo-Calvinist materialism, and to live in light of First Things and
Last Things as we week to acquire the only thing that matters:
Sanctifying Grace in this life and eternal life in the glory of the
Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost in
Heaven.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you, save souls!
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, pray for us now and in death's agony.
Although I have at least three more articles that I desire to write, the late night hours kept the past few days have required me to shut down the computer early. Those of who have missed the past few articles may simply scroll down to find what you have missed. Thank you.
Yes, this is fallen human nature. However, those who abide by persons rather than by the truth wind up living lives of fear and desperation as they suspend rationality and place all of their hopes on something or someone other than Christ the King as He has revealed Himself to us through His true Church.
Another day, another article on the rot of conciliarism, this time focusing on the instability of moral teaching in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Hyginus, pray for us.
Four people responded yesterday to the recent mentions that I have made on this home page of our need for non-tax-deductible financial gifts. These gifts, for which we are very grateful, have made possible the payment of almost all of the bills due at this time. The only bill that remains is a whopper ($250) for the data usage to upload videos in the month of November. I have since changed the wireless plan to permit me to upload up to twenty gigabytes of data each month, which I will be uploading only fifteen new video lectures next week as I have to keep from going over a limitation that I was unaware of back in November of 2012. That having been noted, that is the amount we have to raise now in order to have all current bills paid in full. We pray for our benefactors every day without fail.
Finally, I ask your prayers for the late +Miss Grace Decker, who died at the age of fifty-eight in Saint Petersburg, Florida, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Miss Decker was given the Sacrament of Extreme Unction by Father William Jenkins before she died.
Miss Decker worked with that indefatigable champion of Catholic truth, Mrs. Eleanor Drechsel, to help save the life of Mrs. Theresa Marie Schindler-Schiavo five years ago. She was a stalwart Catholic in the midst of the cesspool known as the Diocese of Saint Petersburg, Florida. She suffered much once she came to recognize the true nature of the conciliar apostasies. Please join me in praying for and having Masses offered for her immortal soul.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace. Amen.
Here's part two of the commentary begun yesterday. This is the conclusion of a very brief series. I may be unable to post a new article tomorrow. However, I will try if my strength permits me to do so. Thank you for your patience.
It is my most fervent hope that the fact that I was nine days overdue in paying our post office box rental fee will result in a cascade of stored mail being delivered later today. Two readers were generous to make non-tax-deductible gifts that made it possible to pay the monthly installment for our automobile and homeowner's insurance policies. Another will help us today with an amount that will take care of our water and electric and gas bills (and one of our phone bills). We still need more assistance. I know that there are readers who support this work and who can afford to donate five or ten dollars. It would be good to hear from you at this point. Thank you.
Another late hour. This short article is part one of a two-part series. Part two will focus on Bishop Bernard Fellay's comments about adherents of the Talmud being enemies of the Church, something that has caused the "papal" spokesflack, "Father" Federico Lombardi, S.J., to issue a statement denouncing him. This current article deals with Bishop Fellay's claiming he rejected Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's "hermeneutic of continuity" even though he expressed a very tentative acceptance of it in May of 2012. His first assistant, Father Niklaus Pfluger, did him one better eight months ago: he endorsed the idiocy. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Despite fatigue and some ill-health, I managed to record six more video lectures yesterday. A few more will be recorded later in the week. I want to upload them soon. However, we are without funds to pay the wireless bill (or pretty much any other bill at this time). I will have to write a new appeals update tomorrow as the generosity extended to us by some fine Catholics before Christmas was used to pay last month's bills and two of the current month's bills. Your help is needed. Now. Thank you.
This is a mild, gentle, sweet and thoroughly soft-hearted examination of Timothy Michael "Cardinal" Dolan's scandalously blasphemous "prayer" that uttered at the end of the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida, on Thursday, August 30, 2012, the Feast of Saint Rose of Lima and the Commemoration of Saints Felix and Adauctus. Well, maybe not so mild. Perhaps it could have been sweeter. All right, all right. Yes, I suppose that soft-hearted might be a stretch. I did, however, try to be thorough and it is my prayer that Mr. Dolan, who is neither a priest or a bishop, will convert back to the Faith into which he was baptized and repent of his blasphemies before he dies.
As this article took a lot longer to complete than expected and as I am actually posting his a little before Midnight on the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost and the Commemoration of Saint Stephen of Hungary, my next article, which will focus on some of the latest developments on the counterfeit church of concilairism, will have to wait until tomorrow. My article on the recent comments of Father Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R., will have to wait until Wednesday or a few days later depending upon developments at the convention of fools, freaks and fairies that gets underway in Charlotte, North Carolina today. Our Lady, Mother of the Divine Shepherd, pray for us. Pope Saint Pius X, pray for us.
Today is the feast of the great Pope Saint Pius X, whose work against Modernism is summarized in Revised: Modernism's Eternal Foe, Our Eternal Friend. Unlike his immediate predecessor, Pope Leo XIII, and each of his three
successors (Popes Benedict XV, Pius XI, and Pius XII), the former
Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto was not in the diplomatic service of the Holy
See at any time during the nearly forty-five years of his priesthood
prior to his rather remarkable election as the Successor of Saint Peter
on August 4, 1903. He was not prone to accept the word of diplomats, and
he did not suffer lies and misrepresentations easily.
The farm boy from Riese, Italy, who served as a
pastor of souls in a rough-and-tumble Italian cow town, Tombolo, and
then in Salzano before becoming Bishop of Mantua and the Cardinal
Patriarch of Venice, was always close to Our Lady. This tender devotion
to Our Lady, which he learned from his saintly mother, helped him to
keep close to the sheep even when he was the Vicar of Christ on earth.
Thanks to the sign given him by the life and death of Little Nellie of
Holy God, Pope Saint Pius X was the advocate of early First Communion
(and early Confirmation) and of frequent Communions.
It is no accident at all that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI made no reference to the centenary of Pascendi Dominci Gregis on September 8, 2007, nearly five years ago now. Ratzinger/Benedict
made absolutely no reference on August 15, 2010, to the centenary of
Pope Saint Pius X's Notre Charge Apostolique, which was a
ringing condemnation of the false philosophy of the Sillon that is of
the essence of conciliarism. He made no reference to the one
hundredth anniversary of The Oath Against Modernism two years, three days ago (see Witness Against Benedict XVI: The Oath Against Modernism). How can he? He stands condemned by the very words in these documents issued by Pope Saint Pius X.
The contrast between the Catholicism of Pope Saint
Pius X, a defender of the Social Reign of Christ the King and the
confessionally Catholic civil state, and the conciliarism of Joseph
Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, who is a defender of "healthy laicism" and
"religious liberty" and the "separation of Church and State, could not
be more clear.
Here is the Collect for today's feast in the Immemorial Mass of Tradition:
O God, who for the defense of the Catholic Faith
and the restoration of all things in Christ didst fill Saint Pius,
Supreme Pontiff, with heavenly wisdom and apostolic courage: grant in
Thy loving kindness that by following his teachings and examples we may
attain eternal rewards. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who
liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God,
forever and ever. Amen
Pope Saint Pius X opposed
Modernism. So must we as we refuse any "communion" at all with
conciliarism or its false shepherds who are at war with the Catholic
Faith. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Pope Saint Pius X, pray for us.
Today, on which we observe the Feast of Saint James the Greater, a son of Zebedee and Salome, who was present at the foot of the Holy Cross with her other son, Saint John the Evangelist, is the forty-third anniversary of the issuance of Humanae Vitae by Giovanni Montini/Paul VI.
Far from being an "orthodox" statement of the Catholic Faith, Humanae Vitae was a revolutionary document that inverted the ends of marriage, begetting, if you will, the cottage industry that is known today as "natural family planning," something that was not taught at any time in the history of the Catholic Church, no, not even by Pope Pius XII in his October 29, 1951, Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.
The purpose of this study, which has taken up a considerable amount of time in the last few weeks and has been vetted rather extensively by numerous individuals, including several priests, has several parts:
First, to demonstrate that the mindset of "family planning" is alien to the Catholic Faith.
Second, to study the meaning of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address from a review of the pertinent passages therein and from a consideration of how that was considered by some of commentaries made about it in the 1950s, focusing on two in particular.
Third, an examination of the revolutionary nature of Humanae Vitae and its reliance upon the personalist philosophy of Dietrich von Hildebrand and Father Herbert Doms, explaining how that philosophy had been condemned by the Holy Office in 1944, a condemnation that was reiterated by Pope Pius XII in his Address to Midwives on the Nature of Their Profession.
Fourth, an exploration of how the adversary used Humanae Vitae to propagate a belief in "family planning" while at the same time rallying "conservative" and "traditionally-minded" Catholics around the "pope" as he was attacked by "dissenters" who had been waiting for him to endorse contraception.
Fifth, a discussion of how it is not "impossible" for couples to observe complete marital abstinence, drawing from the very words of Pope Pius XII's 1951 address, in certain situations where this might be necessary or advisable.
What is outside of the scope of this study, which has gone through many revisions as it has undergone the vetting process, is any discussion of the issue of moral culpability on the part of those who have advised on this matter that they can licitly practice what is called "natural family planning." Although I completed all of the seminary coursework in moral theology necessary for priestly ordination, I am neither a pastor of souls or a moral theologian. Father Gerard Rusak of the Society of Saint Pius X has written what I believe to be a fine explication of the moral fault involved in the use of the rhythm method without the presence of the grave conditions outlined by Pope Pius XII in 1951 (see Natural Family Planning) that I found online Saturday evening. It is simply not the purpose of my study to delve into the matter as Catholics must rely upon their shepherds to guide them.
The purpose of this study can be summarized as follows: to explain that the term "natural family planning" has no relationship to anything that has ever been taught by the Catholic Church at any point in her history.
We can become so used to the proliferation of certain terms, my good and very few readers, that it is very easy to unthinkingly use the adversary's language in an effort to describe the teaching of the Catholic Church. We must avoid doing so. Precision of language is vital. We must not make the tragic mistake of adding the word "natural" to the words "family planning" as this cedes the linguistic "high ground" to the whole concept of the "family planning" movement that began in earnest in 1915 with the establishment of the National Birth Control League by Mary Coffin Ware Dennett and, of course, in 1917 under Margaret Sanger and her Birth Control Review, which became the foundation in 1921 of the American Birth Control League, the forerunner of what is known today as Planned Parenthood. Much confusion and unnecessary conflict can be generated by a imprecision of language.
One of those who reviewed this study is the Director of the U.S. Coalition for Life, Mrs. Randy Engel, one of the greatest and most diligent researchers of our time. Mrs. Engel was kind enough to offer the following comments for publication on this site:
Having spent the last six months working
on a similar article on the ill-fated Vatican Birth Control Commission of
1963-1966, I was very happy to see this well-documented report on how the very concept
of so-called “natural family planning,” much less its practice, is
alien to traditional Catholicism.
In any war, words are weapons. By
institutionalizing the term “NFP” the post-Conciliar Church has
shot itself in the foot… actually both feet. “Family planning”
is an anti-life term which means that a woman has the power to decide how many children a woman shall have and when she shall have them …. Never mind
that God is the Lord and Giver of Life. Its incorporation in the term “natural
family planning” has been huge propaganda plus for the enemies of God.
Nature does indeed have a plan for human
procreation but it is of a different species than “NFP.” Nature
favors youth in the matter of childbearing. The Church has, in the past,
encouraged young large families using breastfeeding as a natural spacer. The
first order of business of a married couple is to establish one’s
fertility, not to practice family limitation or postpone having a child. This
is absolutely necessary given the increase in sterility of married couples. Cana and pre-Cana classes need to stress these points ….
Not promote “NFP” as a “way of life.”
Dr. Tom Droleskey has done a positive service for
the Church with this scholarly work. Randy Engel, Director, U.S. Coalition
for Life.
I thank Mrs. Engel for her comments, expressing my gratitude to her for all of the wonderful work she has done in behalf of Catholic truth on matters of family life and education. I look forward to the publication of her own commentary.
Another reviewer who has offered comments for publication is the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, Father Louis Campbell, who was ordained as a member of the Order of Saint Augustine in Nova Scotia, Canada, on September 3, 1961 before leaving in the 1990s to teach at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, first in Elmhurst, Pennsylvania, and then in Denton, Nebraska, consequently becoming convinced that Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II was not a true and legitimate Successor of Saint Peter. He has been in Texas for the past ten years, and we have always enjoyed assisting at his offerings of Holy Mass. Here are Father Campbell's remarks:
You have done us all a great
service in demonstrating very clearly that we must return to the sound teachings
of Pope Pius XII concerning the true ends of marriage. The deception and
confusion caused by the Margaret Sangers and the false teachers of the ‘Vatican
II’ Revolution have taken their toll, even among those who claim to hold to the
Church’s traditional teachings. We have yet to see the full consequences of
their evil plotting.
The countries of Europe have sealed their doom because of the virtually universal use of contraception
and ‘family planning’ in the European countries. I have read that their
birthrates have declined beyond the point of no return, so that they will be
unable to sustain their languages and cultures, and such vestiges of Christianity
that still remain. Strangers speaking different languages, and of a culture and
religion foreign to Europe are already invading, and there will be a violent
struggle. Unless God sees fit to intervene European civilization is about to
fall. The Vatican and many beloved Christian churches and shrines of Europe will be destroyed.
Unfortunately, we must say
the same for the United States and Canada. They will not be able to remain as they are. There
will be invasions, violence and bloodshed, and our beloved countries will never
be the same again. May God protect us!
I have to admit that I have
not totally escaped the general confusion that still affects the whole Novus
Ordo scene. I was a part of it, so I took for granted much of its erroneous
thinking and teaching. But, thanks be to God, I returned to the Traditional
Latin Mass, or at least a facsimile of in the Fraternity of St. Peter for five
years, until ten years ago I was invited down to St. Jude’s Shrine. And I have
come back to the more traditional teachings of the true Church concerning marriage.
When I prepare young couples for marriage I do teach them that God decides how
few or how many children they will have, as well as whatever else is necessary
for their marriage.
Father Campbell, whose weekly sermons are gems of the Faith, had the humility to recognize that he had been drawn into the erroneous thinking and teaching of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. We must pray for that same humility to admit whenever we have permeated the slogans of the day to convince us to attach an anti-family life slogan such as "natural family planning" to the teaching of the Catholic Church. As one who used this term for a long term without seeing the dangers inherent in it (or the method itself--out of "loyalty" to Paul VI, you understand), I am grateful for the prayers and instructions of others who corrected my own quite erroneous ways.
This study is only that, a study. Nothing else It is subject to whatever criticism or comment that readers desire to offer. I will not, however, have time to respond to much in the way of correspondence. I will, though, write a follow-up article on whatever reaction is generated (do you think there will be any?) when a sufficient amount of time has passed (and when I have recovered from the writing of this piece!).
Although I stated in the text of the current article that there would be a follow-up article on the Modernist trends at work in the Catholic Church in the United States of America prior to the "Second" Vatican Council by tomorrow, Tuesday, the Feast of Saint Anne, I am exhausted. I am going to take a few days off, if you don't mind.
Let us pray an extra Rosary today, the Feast of Saint James the Greater, for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal, remembering also the needs and intentions of our fellow Catholics no matter they are to be found in the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide as we seek by our Rosaries and sacrifices and voluntary penances to build up the Mystical Body of Christ on earth, the Church Militant, pledging our hearts as always to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Saint James the Greater, pray for us.
Help us to stay awake in vigilant prayer before Our Lord's Real Presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament so that we can be transfigured in glory in Heaven for all eternity.
Saint Christopher, pray for us. May you, once so completely devoted to the devil when you were named Reprobos, help us to carry Christ the King within our minds, hearts and souls as you carried Him across the raging waters.

Thoughts
to Ponder...
"America, it is said, is suffering from
intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance of right
and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our
country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is
overrun with the broadminded....
"...In the face of this
broadmindedness, what the world needs is intolerance."
(Fulton Sheen's "A Plea for Intolerance," 1931)
Memo to President Obama from Pope Pius XI:
"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)
"The whole world is dividing itself into progressives and conservatives. The job of the progressives is to go on making mistakes. The job of the conservatives is to prevent those mistakes from being corrected."Gilbert Keith Chesterton, April 19, 1924
"Know this: it is by very little breaches of regularity that the devil succeeds in introducing the greatest abuses. May you never end up saying: 'This is nothing, this is an exaggeration.'" (Saint Teresa of Avila, Foundations, Chapter Twenty-nine)
"I would give up my life a thousand times, not only for each of the truths of Sacred Scripture, but even more for the least of the ceremonies of the Catholic Church." (Saint Teresa of Avila, Life, Thirty-three, 3.)
