Words and Actions of Antichrist
by Thomas A. Droleskey
Antichrist is not going to hang a sign around his neck or hang a shingle on his door to announce that he has arrived. Catholics who will be alive at the time of the Antichrist's coming will have to use their sensus Catholicus that he is among them. They will be able to do this by praying very fervently to the all-pure Mother of God to help them to recognize the Antichrist by his words and actions and to refuse to accord him anything other than contempt as they flee from him and denounce him as the very antithesis, that is, the very opposite, of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Precursors of Antichrist certainly walk among us at present.
Caesar Barack Hussein Obama is one of those precursors of Antichrist. He has the ability to mesmerize crowds, well, at least when he speaks with his TelePrompter, and to convince them to suspend all rational thought as they fawn at him admiringly. One alleged "artist" has displayed a portrait of this insidious pro-abort and quintessential statist, a man who was trained in his adolescence in the ways of Marxism by one Frank Marshall Davis (see Obama's Communist Mentor) and in his twenties in the ways of political organizing by the disciples of the Marxist Saul Alinksy (They Never Take Prisoners), as the "messiah," replete with his arms extended in a "crucifixion" pose and topped with a "crown of thorns" over his bowed head. Those who are opposed to this secular figure of Antichrist are said to be "Obamaphobes" by his disciples who are determined to intimidate and browbeat anyone who dares to oppose this "secular messiah" into submission.
It is, of course, quite a telling commentary on the state of apostasy and betrayal in which we live that the administrators of a formerly Catholic university, the University of Notre Dame, sees fit to honor this pro-abort statist who is intent on crushing all opposition to his programs that are contrary to the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law while they would never honor anyone who dares to place into question the nature and extent of the crimes committed the agents of the Third Reich against adherents of the Talmud and others, including many Catholics.
Bishop Richard Williamson of the Society of Saint Pius X, for example, has killed no one. He has advocated the killing of no one. He has justified the killing of no one. He has put into question the claims made by those who want to use the crimes of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich as the pretext for silencing what is believed to be, albeit falsely, the Catholic Church once and for all concerning any efforts to seek the conversion of the Jews, an effort that brought forth its ultimate fruit, yesterday, May 12, 2009, as will be explained later in this commentary. Bishop Williamson has been denounced by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and by a forum that was held at the University of Notre Dame. Barack Hussein Obama, who has issued Executive Orders that have resulted in the executions of innocent human beings, is welcomed at the University of Notre Dame.
This is indeed a prefiguring of Antichrist, who will do and say the opposite of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who, Robert Zollitsch's apostate views to the contrary notwithstanding, died for our sins so as to make it possible for us to have eternal life in Heaven by cooperating with the graces He won for us on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces, to overcome our sins and sinful temptations and to make reparation for them, especially in these latter days by means of His Most Blessed Mother's Fatima Message, which is nothing less than Heaven's Peace Plan. To disparage the horror of personal sin while one promotes it under the cover of civil law and in every aspect of social life is indeed the very opposite of the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted exclusively to His true Church, the Catholic Church, for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication. To disparage the horror of personal and to supportive and/or indifferent to its protection in civil law and promotion in social life is indeed a prefiguring of Antichrist.
Precursors of Antichrist certainly walk among us at present.
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is one of the foremost precursors of Antichrist, as he is demonstrating with exceptional clarity during his pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel. The apostasies committed yesterday, May 12, 2009, the Feast of Saints Nereus, Achilleus, Domitilla, and Pancras, are remarkable for their boldness and their contempt for the very Person of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The apostasies committed yesterday, May 12, 2009, are staggering and they are sickening, at least to anyone who, despite his own sins and failings, loves God as He has revealed Himself through His true Church and wants to defend His honor and glory and majesty as the consecrated slave of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Stepping foot once again into another Mohammedan mosque, the Dome of the Rock, from which disciples of the false, diabolical religion of Mohammedanism believe that their blasphemous, heretical "prophet," Mohammed, "ascended" into Heaven, Ratzinger/Benedict once again removed his shoes, thereby acceding to the custom of his infidel hosts, who believe that the Dome of the Rock mosque is "holy." Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI believes himself to be the Vicar of Christ on earth. By entering into yet another mosque and treating it as a "holy" place a the invitation and in order to observe the customs and beliefs of his infidel hosts, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI demonstrates that he is without a clue as to Who Our Lord is and how he, the God-Man, would never walk into a place of devil worship or to lend any credibility whatsoever to a false religion that blasphemes Him in its wretched "book," the Koran, which Ratzinger/Benedict has twice esteemed with his own priestly hands and has once called "this dear and precious book." The Koran is "dear and precious" to the devil, not to Christ the King.
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, a figure of Antichrist, did the very opposite of what Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ would by simply removing his shoes and entering into this hideous place of false worship, which must be, according to what Ratzinger/Benedict said in Amman, Jordan, on Saturday, May 9, 2009, one of those "jewels" that stand out "across the earth's surface (see
Accustomed to Apostasy).
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, a figure of Antichrist, has proved yet again how he has expelled himself from the bosom of the Catholic Church:
Q. These laws are very clear and strong; but has the Christian church always observed and enforced the observance of them?
A. The spirit of Christ, which dictated the Holy Scriptures, and the spirit which animates and guides the Church of Christ, and teaches her all truth, is the same; and therefore in all ages her conduct on this point has been uniformly the same as what the Holy Scripture teaches. She has constantly forbidden her children to hold any communication, in religious matters, with those who are separated from her communion; and this she has sometimes done under the most severe penalties. In the apostolical canons, which are of very ancient standing, and for the most part handed down from the apostolical age, it is thus decreed: "If any bishop, or priest, or deacon, shall join in prayers with heretics, let him be suspended from Communion". (Can. 44)
Also, "If any clergyman or laic shall go into the synagogue of the Jews, or the meetings of heretics, to join in prayer with them, let him be deposed, and deprived of communion". (Can. 63)
So also, in one of her most respected councils, held in the year 398, at which the great St. Augustine was present, she speaks thus: "None must either pray or sing psalms with heretics; and whosoever shall communicate with those who are cut off from the Communion of the Church, whether clergyman or laic, let him be excommunicated". (Coun. Carth. iv. 72 and 73)
The same is her language in all ages; and in this she shows herself to be the true mother, who will not suffer her children to be divided. She knows her heavenly spouse has declared that "no man can serve two masters; we cannot serve God and Mammon;" and therefore she must either have them to be hers entirely, or she cannot acknowledge them as such. She knows His holy apostle has protested that there can be no "participation, no fellowship, no concord, no pact, no agreement between the faithful and the unbeliever;" and therefore she never can allow any of her faithful children to have any religious communication with those of a false religion and corrupted Faith.(The Laws of God Forbidding All Communication in Religion With Those of a False Religion.)
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, the apostle of false ecumenism and religious liberty, did more than to take off his shoes and to enter into the mosque of the Dome of the Rock. He uttered these Judeo-Masonic words of apostasy:
I cordially thank the Grand Mufti, Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, together with the Director of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf, Sheikh Mohammed Azzam al-Khatib al-Tamimi, and the Head of the Awquaf Council, Sheikh Abdel Azim Salhab, for the welcome they have extended to me on your behalf. I am deeply grateful for the invitation to visit this sacred place, and I willingly pay my respects to you and the leaders of the Islamic community in Jerusalem.
The Dome of the Rock draws our hearts and minds to reflect upon the mystery of creation and the faith of Abraham. Here the paths of the world’s three great monotheistic religions meet, reminding us what they share in common. Each believes in One God, creator and ruler of all. Each recognizes Abraham as a forefather, a man of faith upon whom God bestowed a special blessing. Each has gained a large following throughout the centuries and inspired a rich spiritual, intellectual and cultural patrimony.
In a world sadly torn by divisions, this sacred place serves as a stimulus, and also challenges men and women of goodwill to work to overcome misunderstandings and conflicts of the past and to set out on the path of a sincere dialogue aimed at building a world of justice and peace for coming generations.
Since the teachings of religious traditions ultimately concern the reality of God, the meaning of life, and the common destiny of mankind – that is to say, all that is most sacred and dear to us – there may be a temptation to engage in such dialogue with reluctance or ambivalence about its possibilities for success. Yet we can begin with the belief that the One God is the infinite source of justice and mercy, since in him the two exist in perfect unity. Those who confess his name are entrusted with the task of striving tirelessly for righteousness while imitating his forgiveness, for both are intrinsically oriented to the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of the human family.
For this reason, it is paramount that those who adore the One God should show themselves to be both grounded in and directed towards the unity of the entire human family. In other words, fidelity to the One God, the Creator, the Most High, leads to the recognition that human beings are fundamentally interrelated, since all owe their very existence to a single source and are pointed towards a common goal. Imprinted with the indelible image of the divine, they are called to play an active role in mending divisions and promoting human solidarity.
This places a grave responsibility upon us. Those who honor the One God believe that he will hold human beings accountable for their actions. Christians assert that the divine gifts of reason and freedom stand at the basis of this accountability. Reason opens the mind to grasp the shared nature and common destiny of the human family, while freedom moves the heart to accept the other and serve him in charity. Undivided love for the One God and charity towards ones neighbor thus become the fulcrum around which all else turns. This is why we work untiringly to safeguard human hearts from hatred, anger or vengeance.
Dear friends, I have come to Jerusalem on a journey of faith. I thank God for this occasion to meet you as the Bishop of Rome and Successor of the Apostle Peter, but also as a child of Abraham, by whom “all the families of the earth find blessing” (Gen 12:3; cf. Rom 4:16-17). I assure you of the Church’s ardent desire to cooperate for the well-being of the human family. She firmly believes that the fulfillment of the promise made to Abraham is universal in scope, embracing all men and women regardless of provenance or social status. As Muslims and Christians further the respectful dialogue they have already begun, I pray that they will explore how the Oneness of God is inextricably tied to the unity of the human family. In submitting to his loving plan for creation, in studying the law inscribed in the cosmos and implanted in the human heart, in reflecting upon the mysterious gift of God’s self-revelation, may all his followers continue to keep their gaze fixed on his absolute goodness, never losing sight of the way it is reflected in the faces of others.
With these thoughts, I humbly ask the Almighty to grant you peace and to bless all the beloved people of this region. May we strive to live in a spirit of harmony and cooperation, bearing witness to the One God by generously serving one another. Thank you! Just as Ratzinger/Benedict referred to Mount Hiei in Japan, where the Tendei sect of Buddhists worship their particular devils, "sacred" (see
No Such Thing as a Small Sacrilege), so did he dare to offend God once again by referring to the Dome of the Rock as "this sacred place." Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI believes in a "God" of his own projection, a "God" who is the product of the condemned precepts of his own New Theology, not in the true God of Revelation Who will have no strange gods before Him at any time for any reason. No one who knows Who God truly is can call any place of false worship as "sacred," yet alone refuse to mention at all the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as he refuses to exhort his hearers to convert to the true Faith lest they die in their false religion.
This means that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI does not believe that the souls of Mohammedans are in peril of eternal damnation, that they are more or less assured of their salvation because the "One God" is satisfied with a "search for truth" as long as "believers" work together in a spirit of "human solidarity." This is apostasy. This the opposite of the teaching of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. These are the words and actions of Antichrist.
It gets worse.
Going from apostasy to apostasy, Joseph Ratzinger, following the example of his apostate predecessor, the late Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, as the head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, placed a "prayer" in the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, thereby signifying that God "hears" the prayers placed in this wall of abomination, thus denigrating the perfect prayer that is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which offered in an unbloody manner as the perpetuation of the Sacrifice of the Cross as a propiatory offering in atonement for human sins. As was the case at the mosque of the Dome of the Rock, Ratzinger/Benedict did not once mention the Holy Name of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in his "prayer," a prayer that could be composed by the grand master of any Masonic lodge:
God of all the ages,
on my visit to Jerusalem, the “City of Peace”,
spiritual home to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike,
I bring before you the joys, the hopes and the aspirations,
the trials, the suffering and the pain of all your people throughout the world.
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
hear the cry of the afflicted, the fearful, the bereft;
send your peace upon this Holy Land, upon the Middle East,
upon the entire human family;
stir the hearts of all who call upon your name,
to walk humbly in the path of justice and compassion.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul that seeks him” (Lam 3:25)! (Prayer at the Western Wall (May 12, 2009)
The Acts of the Apostles teaches us that Saint Peter and the other Apostles were possessed of a slightly different spirit from that which possesses the heart and soul of the arch-ecumenist, the Modernist and apostate Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI:
And calling in the apostles, after they [the Jews] had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus; and they dismissed them.
And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus. And every day they ceased not in the temple, and from house to house, to teach and preach Christ Jesus. (Acts 5: 40-41.)
The Jews of the Sanhedrin ordered the Apostle "that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus." Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict does this voluntarily in order to please his Mohammedan and Talmudic hosts. His words and actions of those of Antichrist. His words and actions are the opposite of the words and actions of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
It gets worse.
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI did not once mention the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer to the Talmudic rabbis who hosted him yesterday, May 12, 2009, mirroring his refusal to proclaim the Holy Name at the Dome of the Rock:
I am grateful for the invitation to visit Heichal Shlomo and to meet with you during this trip of mine to the Holy Land as Bishop of Rome. I thank Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Amar and Ashkenazi Rabbi Yona Metzger for their warm words of welcome and the desire they have expressed to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship which the Catholic Church and the Chief Rabbinate have labored so diligently to forge over the past decades. Your visits to the Vatican in 2003 and 2005 are a sign of the good will which characterizes our developing relations.
Distinguished Rabbis, I reciprocate by expressing my own respect and esteem for you and your communities. I assure you of my desire to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between the Holy See, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel and Jewish people throughout the world.
A great source of satisfaction for me since the beginning of my pontificate has been the fruit yielded by the ongoing dialogue between the Delegation of the Holy See’s Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel’s Delegation for Relations with the Catholic Church. I wish to thank the members of both delegations for their dedication and hard work in implementing this initiative, so earnestly desired by my esteemed predecessor Pope John Paul II, as he said during the Great Jubilee Year of 2000.
Our encounter today is a most fitting occasion to give thanks to the Almighty for the many blessings which have accompanied the dialogue conducted by the Bilateral Commission, and to look forward with expectation to its future sessions. The willingness of the delegates to discuss openly and patiently not only points of agreement, but also points of difference, has already paved the way to more effective collaboration in public life. Jews and Christians alike are concerned to ensure respect for the sacredness of human life, the centrality of the family, a sound education for the young, and the freedom of religion and conscience for a healthy society. These themes of dialogue represent only the initial phases of what we trust will be a steady, progressive journey towards an enhanced mutual understanding.
An indication of the potential of this series of meetings is readily seen in our shared concern in the face of moral relativism and the offences it spawns against the dignity of the human person. In approaching the most urgent ethical questions of our day, our two communities are challenged to engage people of good will at the level of reason, while simultaneously pointing to the religious foundations which best sustain lasting moral values. May the dialogue that has begun continue to generate ideas on how Christians and Jews can work together to heighten society’s appreciation of the distinctive contribution of our religious and ethical traditions. Here in Israel, given that Christians constitute only a small portion of the total population, they particularly value opportunities for dialogue with their Jewish neighbors.
Trust is undeniably an essential element of effective dialogue. Today I have the opportunity to repeat that the Catholic Church is irrevocably committed to the path chosen at the Second Vatican Council for a genuine and lasting reconciliation between Christians and Jews. As the Declaration Nostra Aetate makes clear, the Church continues to value the spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews and desires an ever deeper mutual understanding and respect through biblical and theological studies as well as fraternal dialogues. May the seven Bilateral Commission meetings which have already taken place between the Holy See and the Chief Rabbinate stand as evidence! I am thus grateful for your reciprocal assurance that the relationship between the Catholic Church and the Chief Rabbinate will continue to grow in respect and understanding in the future.
My friends, I express again my deep appreciation for the welcome you have extended to me today. I am confident that our friendship will continue to set an example of trust in dialogue for Jews and Christians throughout the world. Looking at the accomplishments achieved thus far, and drawing our inspiration from the Holy Scriptures, we can confidently look forward to even stronger cooperation between our communities – together with all people of good will – in decrying hatred and oppression throughout the world. I pray that God, who searches our hearts and knows our thoughts (Ps 139:23), will continue to enlighten us with his wisdom, so that we may follow his commandments to love him with all our heart, soul and strength (cf. Dt 6:5), and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Lev 19:18). Thank you. (Courtesy visit to the two Chief Rabbis of Jerusalem at Hechal Shlomo Center in Jerusalem, May 12, 2009)
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI once again has stated most publicly that a false, superseded religion that is hated by God can make a "distinctive contribution" to society. He said that "Jews and Christians alike are concerned to ensure respect for the sacredness of human life, the centrality of the family, a sound education for the young, and the freedom of religion and conscience for a healthy society" even those Talmudic organizations in the United States of America have been in the vanguard of promoting contraception and abortion and perversity and in eliminating any mention of the Holy Name of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from
America's concentration camps (public schools) and from public parks and assemblies. One of Ratzinger/Benedict's appointees, Timothy "I aim to be a happy 'bishop'" Dolan, even went so far as to praise one of these organizations, the Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai Brith (see
Silence) While some Orthodox Jews support limitations on abortion (most believe that babies can be killed in some "hard" cases), most Jews worldwide are not members of Orthodox congregations (and some Orthodox Jews are very much involved in the business of pornography). To make the blanket statement that "Jews and Christians alike are concerned to ensure respect for the sacredness of human life, the centrality of the family, a sound education for the young, and the freedom of religion and conscience for a healthy society" is somewhat akin to Bernard "Cardinal" Law's praising the Kennedy family for being "pro-life" at Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy's "Mass of Christian Burial" on January 25, 1995.
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's refusal to seek the conversion of the Jews stands in contrast not only to the work of Saint Peter and Saint Stephen the Protomartyr nd Saint Paul and Saint Vincent Ferrer, O.P., and Father Alphonse Ratisbonne, among others, of course. It stands in contrast to the concern that Pope Saint Pius X himself expressed for the conversion of the Jews when he met with the founder of international Zionism, Theodore Herzl, on January 25, 1904:
HERZL: Yesterday I was with the Pope [Pius X]. . . . I arrived ten minutes ahead of time, and without having to wait I was conducted through a number of small reception rooms to the Pope. He received me standing and held out his hand, which I did not kiss. Lippay had told me I had to do it, but I didn’t. I believe this spoiled my chances with him, for everyone who visits him kneels and at least kisses his hand. This hand kiss had worried me a great deal and I was glad when it was out of the way.
He seated himself in an armchair, a throne for minor affairs, and invited me to sit by his side. He smiled in kindly anticipation. I began:
HERZL: I thank Your Holiness for the favor of granting me this audience. [I begged him to excuse my miserable Italian, but he said:
POPE: No, Signor Commander, you speak very well.
HERZL: [He is an honest, rough-hewn village priest, to whom Christianity has remained a living thing even in the Vatican. I briefly laid my request before him. But annoyed perhaps by my refusal to kiss his hand, he answered in a stern categorical manner.
POPE: We are unable to favor this movement [of Zionism]. We cannot prevent the Jews from going to Jerusalem—but we could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus Christ. As the head of the Church I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized our Lord, therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people.
HERZL: [The conflict between Rome and Jerusalem, represented by the one and the other of us, was once again under way. At the outset I tried to be conciliatory. I said my little piece. . . . It didn’t greatly impress him. Jerusalem was not to be placed in Jewish hands.] And its present status, Holy Father?
POPE: I know, it is disagreeable to see the Turks in possession of our Holy Places. We simply have to put up with it. But to sanction the Jewish wish to occupy these sites, that we cannot do.
HERZL: [I said that we based our movement solely on the sufferings of the Jews, and wished to put aside all religious issues].
POPE: Yes, but we, but I as the head of the Catholic Church, cannot do this. One of two things will likely happen. Either the Jews will retain their ancient faith and continue to await the Messiah whom we believe has already appeared—in which case they are denying the divinity of Jesus and we cannot assist them. Or else they will go there with no religion whatever, and then we can have nothing at all to do with them. The Jewish faith was the foundation of our own, but it has been superceded by the teachings of Christ, and we cannot admit that it still enjoys any validity. The Jews who should have been the first to acknowledge Jesus Christ have not done so to this day.
HERZL: [It was on the tip of my tongue to remark, “It happens in every family: no one believes in his own relative.” But, instead, I said:] Terror and persecution were not precisely the best means for converting the Jews. [His reply had an element of grandeur in its simplicity:]
POPE: Our Lord came without power. He came in peace. He persecuted no one. He was abandoned even by his apostles. It was only later that he attained stature. It took three centuries for the Church to evolve. The Jews therefore had plenty of time in which to accept his divinity without duress or pressure. But they chose not to do so, and they have not done it yet.
HERZL: But, Holy Father, the Jews are in a terrible plight. I do not know if Your Holiness is aware of the full extent of their tragedy. We need a land for these harried people.
POPE: Must it be Jerusalem?
HERZL: We are not asking for Jerusalem, but for Palestine—for only the secular land.
POPE: We cannot be in favor of it.
[Editor Lowenthal interjects here] Here unrelenting replacement theology is plainly upheld as the norm of the Roman Catholic Church. Further, this confession, along with the whole tone of the Pope in his meeting with Herzl, indicates the perpetuation of a doctrinal emphasis that has resulted in centuries of degrading behavior toward the Jews. However, this response has the “grandeur” of total avoidance of that which Herzl had intimated, namely that the abusive reputation of Roman Catholicism toward the Jews was unlikely to foster conversion. Further, if, “It took three centuries for the Church to evolve,” it was that very same period of time that it took for the Church to consolidate and launch its thrust of anti-Semitism through the following centuries.
HERZL: Does Your Holiness know the situation of the Jews?
POPE: Yes, from my days in Mantua, where there are Jews. I have always been in friendly relations with Jews. Only the other evening two Jews were here to see me. There are other bonds than those of religion: social intercourse, for example, and philanthropy. Such bonds we do not refuse to maintain with the Jews. Indeed we also pray for them, that their spirit see the light. This very day the Church is celebrating the feast of an unbeliever who became converted in a miraculous manner—on the road to Damascus. And so if you come to Palestine and settle your people there, we will be ready with churches and priests to baptize all of you.
HERZL: [At this point Conte Lippay had himself announced. The Pope bade him be admitted. The Conte kneeled, kissed his hand, and joined in the conversation by telling of our “miraculous” meeting in the Bauer beerhall at Venice. The miracle was that he had originally intended to stay overnight in Padua, and instead, it turned out that he was given to hear me express the wish to kiss the Holy Father’s foot. At this the Pope made no movement, for I hadn’t even kissed his hand. Lippay proceeded to tell how I had expiated on the noble qualities of Jesus Christ. The Pope listened, and now and then took a pinch of snuff and sneezed into a big red cotton handkerchief. It is these peasant touches which I like about him best and which most of all compel my respect. Lippay, it would appear, wanted to account for his introducing me, and perhaps ward off a word of reproach. But the Pope said:
POPE: On the contrary, I am glad you brought me the Signor Commendatore.
HERZL: [As to the real business, he repeated what he had told me, until he dismissed us:]
POPE: Not possible!
HERZL: [Lippay stayed on his knees for an unconscionable time and never seemed to tire of kissing his hand. It was apparent that this was what the Pope liked. But on taking leave, I contented myself with shaking his hand warmly and bowing deeply. The audience lasted about twenty-five minutes. While spending the last hour in the Raphael gallery, I saw a picture of an Emperor kneeling before a seated Pope and receiving the crown from his hands. That’s how Rome wants it.] (Marvin Lowenthal, Diaries of Theodore Herzl, pp. 427- 430.)
The words and actions of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI are the opposite of Our Lord and His true popes. They are the words and actions of Antichrist, words and actions condemned prophetically by Saint John Chrysostom, who just happens to a Father and a Doctor of the Catholic Church, who said that no Jew adores God, as Ratzinger/Benedict contends repeatedly, and brings forth Our Lord Himself as his witness to prove his point:
Many, I know, respect the Jews and think that their present way of life is a venerable one. This is why I hasten to uproot and tear out this deadly opinion. I said that the synagogue is no better than a theater and I bring forward a prophet as my witness. Surely the Jews are not more deserving of belief than their prophets. "You had a harlot's brow; you became shameless before all". Where a harlot has set herself up, that place is a brothel. But the synagogue is not only a brothel and a theater; it also is a den of robbers and a lodging for wild beasts. Jeremiah said: "Your house has become for me the den of a hyena". He does not simply say "of wild beast", but "of a filthy wild beast", and again: "I have abandoned my house, I have cast off my inheritance". But when God forsakes a people, what hope of salvation is left? When God forsakes a place, that place becomes the dwelling of demons.
(2) But at any rate the Jews say that they, too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who says so? The Son of God says so. For he said: "If you were to know my Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of God?
(3) If, then, the Jews fail to know the Father, if they crucified the Son, if they thrust off the help of the Spirit, who should not make bold to declare plainly that the synagogue is a dwelling of demons? God is not worshipped there. Heaven forbid! From now on it remains a place of idolatry. But still some people pay it honor as a holy place. (Saint John Chrysostom: Eight Homilies Against the Jews)
Who is correct? Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI or Pope Saint Pius X.
Who is correct? Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI or Saint John Chrysostom, who was never disciplined or corrected by any pope for having written as he did. Indeed, he was raised to the altars of Holy Mother Church as a saint.
It did not get any better yesterday when Ratzinger/Benedict went to the very place, the Upper Room in Jerusalem, where Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ instituted the Holy Priesthood and the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, uttering the standard conciliar apostasy about "communion in diversity:"
The call to communion of mind and heart, so closely related to the commandment of love and to the central unifying role of the Eucharist in our lives, is of special relevance in the Holy Land. The different Christian Churches found here represent a rich and varied spiritual patrimony and are a sign of the multiple forms of interaction between the Gospel and different cultures. They also remind us that the mission of the Church is to preach the universal love of God and to gather, from far and near, all who are called by him, in such a way that, with their traditions and their talents, they form the one family of God. A new spiritual impulse towards communion in diversity within the Catholic Church and a new ecumenical awareness have marked our times, especially since the Second Vatican Council. The Spirit moves our hearts gently towards humility and peace, towards mutual acceptance, comprehension and cooperation. This inner disposition to unity under the prompting of the Holy Spirit is decisive if Christians are to fulfill their mission in the world (cf. Jn:17:21).
The Third Person of the Most Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, can never give a "new spiritual impulse." God is immutable. The "impulse towards community in diversity within the Catholic Church and a new ecumenical awareness" is not of the Holy Ghost. It is from evil spirits. The "impulse" of of "unity-in-diversity" or "communion in diversity" or "reconciled diversity" was dissected by Father Francis Connell in 1959 and in a book called The Great Facade in 2002:
To characterize the relation between Catholics and Protestants as 'unity-in-diversity' is misleading, inasmuch as it implies that essentially Catholics are one with heretics, and that their diversities are only accidental. Actually, the very opposite is the true situation. For, however near an heretical sect may seem to be to the Catholic Church in its particular beliefs, a wide gulf separates them, insofar as the divinely established means whereby the message of God is to be communicated to souls--the infallible Magisterium of the Church--is rejected by every heretical sect. By telling Protestants that they are one with us in certain beliefs, in such wise as to give the impression that we regard this unity as the predominant feature of our relation with them, we are actually misleading them regarding the true attitude of the Catholic Church toward those who do not acknowledge Her teaching authority. (Father Francis Connell, Father Connell Answers Moral Questions, published in 1959 by Catholic University of America Press, p. 11; quoted in Fathers Dominic and Francisco Radecki, CMRI, TUMULTUOUS TIMES, p. 348.)
By way of background on this issue, we note that when Cardinal Ratzinger was still Father Ratzinger, a former peritus of the Council, he provided in his Theological Highlights of Vatican II the following explanation of the Council's teaching on Christian unity and Church membership:
"The new text describes the relationship between the Church and non-Catholic Christians without speaking of "membership." By shedding this terminological armor, the text acquired a much wider scope. . . . The Catholic has to recognize that his own Church is not yet prepared to accept the phenomenon of multiplicity in unity; he must orient himself toward this reality. . . . Meantime the Catholic Church has no right to absorb the other Churches. The Church has not yet prepared a place of their own, but this they are legitimately entitled to. . . . A basic unity--of Churches that remain Churches, yet become one Church--must replace the idea of conversion, even though conversion retains its meaningfulness for those in conscience motivated to seek it. (Joseph Ratzinger, Theological Highlights of Vatican II, pp. 61, 68, quoted in an out-of-print book, 2002, at p. 349.)
This remarkable text, which Cardinal Ratzinger has never repudiated, declares that the Magisterium can "shed" its own established terminology on membership in the Church, that the Bride of Christ had neglected to "prepare" itself for acceptance of the "reality" of non-Catholic confessions, that organizations indisputably founded by mere men in a rebellion against divine authority have a positive right to exist and be given "a place" by the one true Church, and that Protestants need not convert to Catholicism unless they are "motivated" to do so. In all candor, we do not see how Father Ratzinger's opinions here could have avoided censure during the reign of any preconciliar Pope.
As we have already demonstrated abundantly, these opinions are quite in line with the current thinking of Cardinal Ratzinger's fellow German bishop, Cardinal Walker Kasper, the new head of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity. We have noted that in the Italian journal Adista, Kasper declared "today that we no longer understand ecumenism in the sense of a return, by which the others would 'be converted' and return to being 'Catholics' This was expressly abandoned by Vatican II." Any Catholic should be horrified to see the head of a pontifical council ostensible devoted to "Christian unity" placing contemptuous quotation marks around the very words converted and Catholics. According to Cardinal Kasper, Vatican II "abandoned" what the Holy Office in 1949 describe as "the teachings of the encyclicals o the Roman Pontiffs on the return of the dissidents to the one true Church" and "the Catholic truth regarding...the only true union by the return of the dissidents to the one true Church."
And yet the context of Kasper's remarks in Adista was a defense of DI [Dominus Iesus] against Protestant critics! Nor did Cardinal Ratzinger offer any correction of Kasper's opinion, which Kasper expressed within days of his elevation to the rank of cardinal. These finds do not inspire confidence that DI represents a major course correction in the Church's postconciliar drift from her prior clarity of teaching about the condition of the dissidents who need to return to the one true Church.
Before Vatican II, it was perfectly obvious that there could that there could never be Christian unity unless the Orthodox and the Protestants assented to every single point of Catholic doctrine, thus becoming Catholics themselves. It is just as obvious that anyone who prescinds from even the least point of Catholic doctrine can never be united with us. As Pope Leo XIII taught in Satis Cognitum: "The practice of the Church has always been the same, as is shown by the unanimous teaching of the Fathers, who were wont to hold as outside Catholic communion, and alien to the Church, whoever would recede in the least degree from any point of doctrine proposed by her authoritative Magisterium."
Equally obvious is that to embrace the whole of Catholic doctrine without reservation is necessarily to turn away from the human institutions in which that doctrine was more or less corrupted, and to turn instead toward the Catholic Church, in which the Deposit of Faith has always been preserved undefiled. That is what conversion means. Even in today's ecumenical confusion, we still hear about the "conversion stories" of ex-Protestants.
How, for example, could any Lutheran came to an acceptance of the whole of Catholic teaching under the influence of God's grace, yet continue to insist upon belonging to an organization named after a psychotic, foul-mouthed, womanizing drunkard of a monk, who ran off and married a nun, indeed the greatest arch-heretic in Church history, who referred to the Vicar of Christ as an "ass-head."? What cold the husk of Luther's decrepit human organization possibly offer any Lutheran that is not found in superabundance in the Roman Catholic Church? Could anyone who would cling to the notion of belonging to Luther's version of a church ever be in union with us? On the other hand, if the Lutherans, by some miracle of grace, all suddenly decided to abjure every one of Luther's errors--in which case, why would they wish to be associated any longer with the name of Luther?--the Catholic Church would have no reason, much less a duty, to make a "place" for Luther's "church." It would simply cease to exist as a separate organization, the Lutherans having become Catholics. Is this really something that is debatable today? Apparently so.
That Christian unity can somehow be accomplished without all Christians becoming Catholics is one of the Zen-like notions that abound in postconciliar thinking. But not only has Cardinal Ratzinger never retracted Father Ratzinger's opinions, we also now find that they have become Vatican policy at the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity. Nor does it appear that DI [Dominus Iesus] in any way reproves Kasper's opinions. To the contrary: in discussing DI [Dominus Iesus] with the press, Cardinal Ratzinger affirmed his own support for the novel notion of "reconciled diversity" that we discussed earlier:
"Question: So then, after the publication of your document, is the ecumenical formula of 'reconciled diversity' still valid?
"Ratzinger: I accept the concept of a reconciled diversity, if it does not mean equality of content and the elimination of the question of truth so that we could consider ourselves one even if we believe and teach different things. To my mind this concept is used well, if it says that, despite our differences, which do not allow us to regard ourselves as mere fragments of a Church of Jesus Christ that does not exist in reality, we meet in the peace of Christ and are reconciled to one another, that is, we recognize that our division as contradicting the Lord's will and this sorrow spurs us to seek unity and to pray to him in the knowledge that we all need his love."
Notice that Ratzinger acknowledges that we could not consider ourselves one with Protestants unless we all believed in the same things. But in the meantime he proposes that "despite the difference" we can all be "reconciled to one another" as we "seek unity." Ratzinger does not explain--because quite obviously he cannot explain--how we can ever "find" unity with Protestants without their return to the one true Church Nor does he explain what it is that Catholics are "seeking" in terms of "unity," given that they already have the true Faith in the unity of the one true Church. Perhaps this is why Ratzinger has declared that "for the moment, I wouldn't dare venture to suggest any concrete realization, possible or imaginable, of this future Church. We are at an intermediate stage of unity in diversity."
Thus, according to Cardinal Kasper and (it would appear) Cardinal Ratzinger, there are no longer any dissidents who must return to the one true Church, but only "Christians engaged in a joint ecumenical "search for unity." The notion that the conversion and return of non-Catholics to the Catholic Church has suddenly been replaced by some other (as yet undefined) "model" of unity obviously has important implications for our understanding of DI. For if a return to the one true Church is no longer seen as necessary for Christian unity, then it can hardly be necessary salvation as such. This would men that the members of heretical and schismatic confessions, are presumed by DI to be adequately secured in their salvation, without need of formal membership in the Catholic Church and recourse to her sacraments. (Christopher A. Ferrara and Thomas E. Woods, Jr., The Great Facade, The Remnant Press, 2002.)
Yesterday, May 12, 2009, was a day of non-stop apostasy. And it is time that priests and presbyters in the structures of the counterfeit church of concilairism who truly love God and who are concerned about getting the flocks entrusted to their pastoral care home to Heaven to come to the defense of the honor and glory and majesty God and of the integrity of the Holy Faith by following the courageous example of Father Michael Oswalt (see
Embracing The Faith No Matter the Consequences) and leaving the false church with its apostate, blasphemous head, recognizing that the words that Pope Pius IX addressed to Protestants in Iam Vos Omnes, September 13, 1868, issued a year prior to the [First] Vatican Council, applies to Catholics who follow a false "pope" who dares to blaspheme God repeatedly and who misleads Catholics and non-Catholics alike by words and deeds that are those of Antichrist:
It is for this reason that so many who do not share 'the communion and the truth of the Catholic Church' must make use of the occasion of the Council, by the means of the Catholic Church, which received in Her bosom their ancestors, proposes [further] demonstration of profound unity and of firm vital force; hear the requirements [demands] of her heart, they must engage themselves to leave this state that does not guarantee for them the security of salvation. She does not hesitate to raise to the Lord of mercy most fervent prayers to tear down of the walls of division, to dissipate the haze of errors, and lead them back within holy Mother Church, where their Ancestors found salutary pastures of life; where, in an exclusive way, is conserved and transmitted whole the doctrine of Jesus Christ and wherein is dispensed the mysteries of heavenly grace.
The Catholic Church can never give us a "haze of errors." Holy Mother Church is as spotless as Mary our Immaculate Queen, she who is our Blessed Mother. The Catholic Church teaches with clarity without any taint of error, as Pope Pius XI made clear in Mortalium Animos, January 6, 1928:
For the teaching authority of the Church, which in the divine wisdom was constituted on earth in order that revealed doctrines might remain intact for ever, and that they might be brought with ease and security to the knowledge of men, and which is daily exercised through the Roman Pontiff and the Bishops who are in communion with him, has also the office of defining, when it sees fit, any truth with solemn rites and decrees, whenever this is necessary either to oppose the errors or the attacks of heretics, or more clearly and in greater detail to stamp the minds of the faithful with the articles of sacred doctrine which have been explained.
What I wrote in Embracing The Faith No Matter the Consequences forty-two days ago bears repeating once again
The very fact that the language conciliarism is often unclear and ambiguous and gives rise to contradictory interpretations even among its most ardent supporters is, over and above is very clear and overt contradictions of the Catholic Faith, a prima facie proof that it is not of God, Who teaches us through His true Church with clear, ease and security. It is really that simple.
Pope Gregory XVI had drive this point home in Singulari Nos, June 25, 1834:
As for the rest, We greatly deplore the fact that, where the ravings of human reason extend, there is somebody who studies new things and strives to know more than is necessary, against the advice of the apostle. There you will find someone who is overconfident in seeking the truth outside the Catholic Church, in which it can be found without even a light tarnish of error. Therefore, the Church is called, and is indeed, a pillar and foundation of truth. You correctly understand, venerable brothers, that We speak here also of that erroneous philosophical system which was recently brought in and is clearly to be condemned. This system, which comes from the contemptible and unrestrained desire for innovation, does not seek truth where it stands in the received and holy apostolic inheritance. Rather, other empty doctrines, futile and uncertain doctrines not approved by the Church, are adopted. Only the most conceited men wrongly think that these teachings can sustain and support that truth.
There can be no error or ambiguity or uncertainty associated with the teaching and pastoral praxis authorized by the Catholic Church.
This truth was not understood fully by those older priests in the 1960s and 1970s who knew that "something" was wrong but could not bring themselves to admit that they were in the midst of an "operation of error" that had been prophesied by Saint Paul the Apostle in his Second Epistle to the Thessalonians:
And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:
That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. (2 Thess. 6-14.)
We know more now than those older priests did thirty to forty years ago. We have more proof of the harm that has been caused by the falsehoods of the conciliar revolution, falsehoods that are from the devil and are thus irredeemable. We have seen the "papal" apostasies and blasphemies and sacrileges with our own eyes. The conciliar "pontiffs" have committed their apostasies to writing. The time for "waiting" has long since passed. The honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity and good of the souls redeemed by the shedding of every single drop of the Most Precious Blood of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ require men in the conciliar priesthood to imitate the courage of Father Oswalt, a courage that was prompted by his love of God and of the Holy Faith that He has entrusted exclusively to the Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication.
Although some will contend that the great saint we commemorate today, Saint Robert Bellarmine, supported what is called today the "resist and recognize' movement, the opposite is true (please see Father Anthony Cekada's The Bellarmine 'Resistance' Quote: Another Traditionalist Myth). Anyone who defects from the Faith by violating the Divine Positive Law in one matter falls from the Faith in Its entirety, as Pope Leo XIII made clear in Satis Cognitum. Those who are outside of the maternal bosom of Holy Mother Church cannot hold her ecclesiastical offices legitimately.
It took me long enough to "get" this. I realize that. The hour is much later now than it was three years ago. Ratzinger/Benedict is on a binge of apostasy. Those who are silent about it and who do not separate themselves from him and his false "bishops' must reckon again with these words of Pope Saint Leo the Great:
But it is vain for them to adopt the name of catholic, as they do not oppose these blasphemies: they must believe them, if they can listen so patiently to such words. (Pope Saint Leo the Great, Epistle XIV, To Anastasius, Bishop of Thessalonica, St. Leo the Great | Letters 1-59 )
Today is also the ninety-second anniversary of Our Lady's first apparition in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, to Jacinta and Francisco Marto and their cousin, Lucia dos Santos. We need to fulfill Our Lady's Fatima Message as best as we can in our lives, especially by praying as many Rosaries of reparation each day as our states-in-life permit.
Indeed, those in our new "home" area of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, have a splendid opportunity to bear a visible witness to Our Lady's Fatima Message by praying all fifteen decades of her Most Holy Rosary this evening at 7:00 p.m. in a procession that will be led by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and that begins in the "First Watch" parking lot on Union Centre Boulevard and Floer Drive in West Chester, Ohio. Any and all Catholics, no matter where they may fall along the vast expanse of the ecclesiastical divide that has been created by the conciliar revolutionaries, are welcome to participate. The steps that we take in that procession are symbolic of the steps that we must take to get home to Heaven, and to get home to Heaven today we must flee from the false church of conciliarism and cleave exclusively to true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to conciliarism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its false shepherds.
We must not walk in the footsteps of the false "pontiff" who blasphemes God and gives such grave scandal to Catholics and non-Catholics alike. We must walk in the footsteps of the Catholics in the past who have been willing to give up their lives rather than to give the mere appearance that a false religion is somehow favored by God and can be a means of personal and social order.
The hour gets later by the day. The operation of error is at work at all times. We must refuse to accustom ourselves to apostasy any longer. We must act and act decisively without regard for what others will think of us.
Words and actions of Antichrist are before our very ears and eyes. May we have the courage to flee from these figures of Antichrist as we make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for our sins and those of the whole world.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
