The Superior-General of the Society of Saint Pius X, Bishop Bernard Fellay, has given Bishop Richard Williamson until the end of this current month to recant his views concerning the nature and extent of the crimes committed by the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler. A refusal on the part of Bishop Williamson to recant his views, which are based on his reading of the conclusions reached by historical revisionists on a matter subject to the scrutiny of scholarly research and re-investigation, may, one report indicates, result in his expulsion from the Society of Saint Pius X:

MAINZ, February 18 - A representative of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) has announced that Holocaust denier Richard Williamson could be expelled from the priestly fraternity unless he withdraws his statements on the Holocaust by the end of February.

Fr. Matthias Gaudron said in a program on ZDF German Television that the SSPX has given the English-born bishop until the end of February to make his retraction.

"As traditional Catholics, we have no reason to downplay Hitler's crimes or in any way to describe the Nazi regime as any less horrible than it was," Fr. Gaudron said, adding that "Fr. Williamson has caused great harm to our society" [by his statements on the Holocaust].

Whether or not Bishop Williamson is expelled from the Society of Saint Pius X, composed of bishops who believe that they must "convince" the conciliar "pontiff" and his conciliar "bishops" of the correctness of their positions concerning the Holy Faith, at the end of this month, His Excellency is being expelled from Argentina, where he has served as the rector of the Society's seminary in La Reja for the past five and one-half-years, within ten days if he does not leave on his own accord:

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina  —  The Argentine Interior Ministry is ordering Holocaust-denying Bishop Richard Williamson to leave the country within 10 days.

The ministry said Thursday that Williamson "has concealed the true motive for his stay in the country" because he said he was an employee of a non-governmental group rather than declaring "his true activity" as the director of a seminary.

Williamson was removed as the head of the seminary last week by the ultraconservative Society of St. Pius X after reports of his denial of the Holocaust prompted the Vatican to demand he recant. (Argentina Forces Holocaust-Denying Bishop Out)

[Perhaps those expelling Bishop Williamson from Argentina will add insult to injury by serenading him with the sung version of Hogan's Heroes Theme Song as they, the proud officials of the Argentine government, which has a bureaucracy that makes that of the Republic of Italy seem truly efficient by means of comparison, at least in most instances, probably consider themselves "heroic" for expelling Bishop Williamson. As I noted in 1988, "Argentine bureaucracy is like that of Italy's, only without the efficiency." In this instance, however, the Argentines were most "efficient," discovering Bishop Williamson's immigration papers only after he was branded as a "holocaust denier." The Argentines are also most cowardly for not explaining the reason why they reviewed the bishop's papers. You mean to say that no one from the Third Reich ever used a legalistic hedge on his immigration papers so as to enter Argentina? 

[This reminds me of the time back in the Spring of 1977 when I met the neighbor of a colleague of mine from Mohawk Valley Community College. The man spoke in a thick German accent. I asked him where he was from. "Argentina!" came the response in his thick German accent. "All right," I said to myself. Yes, I know that there are many people of German descent in Argentina, which is the most Europeanized country of Latin America. Most of them, however, do not speak with thick German accents.]

Those who deny the one and only Holocaust, that which was offered by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on the wood of the Holy Cross to His Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Father in Spirit and in Truth, must be accorded every civil right in the name of "religious liberty." Those who adhere to the equally blasphemous falsehood of Mohammedanism must be accord those same civil rights in the name of "religious liberty." Those who promote the assassination of innocent preborn children by chemical and surgical means can be elected to the highest offices in one country after another in the "free" world. A Catholic bishop who disputes the conclusions of "mainstream" historians must be told by the head his religious community to recant or face a possible expulsion while facing a similar expulsion from a country in which has worked as a legal resident. Anyone who says that adherents of the Talmud, the true Holocaust deniers, do not exercise great, if not, at least at times, controlling, power in the counterfeit church of conciliarism and in the policy-making decisions of one civil government after another is either a liar or one who is engaged in a rank denial of truth in order to avoid being called an "anti-Semite."

The outrage expressed against Bishop Williamson's remarks, which were made to an interviewer for Swedish television that aired on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has been firm and unequivocal. Bishop Bernard Fellay has termed Bishop Williamson's views as "nonsense." Some commentators have said that it is wrong to "quibble" over the extent of the crimes committed by the agents of the Third Reich. The "outrage" over Bishop Williamson's remarks by various conciliar "bishops" has been ceaseless and caustic.

It is indeed interesting that most of those who are in "full communion" in the conciliar structures, starting with the conciliar "pontiff" himself, are never outraged for the honor and glory and majesty of God as pagan rituals are incorporated into various "offerings" of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service.

It is indeed interesting that most of those who are in "full communion" in the conciliar structures offend God greatly by their own acts of outrage and sacrilege. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI will blaspheme God yet again as he enters into three dens of the devil (a Mohammedan mosque in Amman, Jordan, and two Talmudic synagogues in the Zionist State of Israel) during his upcoming pilgrimage to Jordan and Israel in three months. This is the same "pontiff" who has treated a Mohammedan mosque in Turkey and two Talmudic synagogues, one in Cologne, Germany, and one in New York City, as "holy" places worthy of respect and reverence. Where has been the outrage for the honor and glory and majesty of God from the conciliar "bishops" or from "conservative" Catholics? Are we to close our eyes and to pretend that the First Commandment (as well as the Canon Law of the Catholic Church) does not absolutely forbid such apostasy because Ratzinger/Benedict has issued Summorum Pontificum and "lifted" the "excommunications" against the bishops of the Society of Saint Pius X?

It is indeed interesting that most of the conciliar "bishops" who have been "outraged" by Bishop Williamson's remarks, starting with Ratzinger/Benedict himself, believe in various apostasies and have been responsible to driving countless millions upon millions of people out of the Catholic Church and into the waiting arms of various Protestant sects or into a complete loss of Faith as they have plunged themselves headlong into lives of paganism. The very mission that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has given to the Catholic Church to seek the conversion of all men and all nations (Mt. 28: 16-20) has been betrayed by conciliarism's "false ecumenism" and by statements such as this one, issued by the theological faculty of the Charles University in Prague, The Czech Republic:

In last days there have been intensive discussions about the decision of Pope Benedict XVI to accept four bishops from the Society of Saint Pius X back to the Catholic Church. The procedure is criticized on many fronts. The whole discussion is getting heated because one of the four bishops with illegitimate but valid consecration denied the Holocaust in a TV interview. Therefore we consider as important to publicize our statement.

1. We welcome the effort of Benedict XVI at the Church unity. By this gesture he made a great step towards the Society of Saint Pius X which is now to react. It is the acceptance of the Second Vatican Council conclusions, still rejected by the Society in their decisive parts, which must be considered at most. The recognition of religious freedom and the freedom of conscience, as well as recognition of Judaism as an autonomous path of redemption (Nostra Aetate - Cathcon follow link for what the document actually says!), belongs substantially to the self-conception of the Catholic Church. The Society of Saint Pius X which excluded itself from the Catholic Church by the forbidden but valid consecration of four bishops in 1988 still stresses that the compliance is not possible until the Catholic Church persists in the conclusions of the Second Vatican Council.

2. Bishop Williamson’s denial of the Holocaust has nothing to do with the Pope's efforts to renew the unity with the Society of Saint Pius X as it follows from the release of the Secretariat of State of the Holy See dated February 4, 2009. At the moment of the excommunication lift the Holy Father was not familiar with the attitudes of Bishop Williamson towards Shoa. Thus the media news of the type "The Pope rehabilitates a Holocaust denier" is underlying a connection which was not intended. Therefore the Pope, after the statement of Bishop Williamson was published, once again expressly dissociated himself from any relativization of crimes against the Jews. We welcome the immediate and clear attitude of the Pope given at the general audience on January 28, 2009. Benedict XVI again clearly expressed his solidarity with the Jews. He also stressed the obligation of the Catholic Church to fight against any form of Antisemitism and Antijudaism. Meanwhile the Vatican Secretary of State called on Bishop Williamson to dissociate clearly and openly from his statements on the Holocaust.

3. It is necessary to stress that the re-acceptance of four bishops to the Catholic Church by the Pope is only a sign for further optional way which the members of the Society of Saint Pius X must only take. The bishops from the Society still cannot hold the episcopal or clerical office in the Catholic Church because their relation towards the Catholic Church and its doctrine has not been cleared yet. The Society itself is not an institution of the Catholic Church because it sill denies substantial elements of the self-conception of the Church.

4. We support the Pope’s statements that the Second Vatican Council is binding for the Catholic Christians and we stress the necessity to recognize the freedom of conscience, religious freedom and inter-religion dialogue. Our Jewish brothers and sisters are accepted - as Pope John Paul II used to emphasize frequently - as our older brothers and sisters. It all means that right-wing extremism and a denial of the Holocaust have no place in the Catholic Church.

5. The Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague shall strive for an open and frank dialogue. It includes interdisciplinary dialogue with sciences and other humanities as well as theological dialogue with other, mainly monotheist, religions. The cooperation with the Protestant and Hussite Theological Faculty, which has been working for many years, is of special importance for us.

6. We share the Pope’s care of the Church unity and we ourselves advocate it within the doctrine of the Second Vatican Council. Therefore we declare our support for the religious freedom, for the dignity of individual conscience, for God's universal redemptive work, for the common priesthood of all believers and for the special historical redemptive role of the Jewish brothers and sisters (Nostra Aetate 4).

Administration of the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University (Judaism: An Autonomous Path to Salvation)

 

We keep being told by apologists of the "Second" Vatican Council that it was only a "pastoral" council, that nothing it issued was "binding" upon the faithful. We keep being told this, especially by anti-sedevacantists, despite the fact that Giovanni Montini/Paul VI taught on December 8, 1965, that the decrees of the "council" must be "religiously observed:"

APOSTOLIC BRIEF "IN SPIRITU SANCTO' FOR THE CLOSING OF THE COUNCIL - DECEMBER 8, 1965, read at the closing ceremonies of Dec. 8 by Archbishop Pericle Felici, general secretary of the council.

The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, assembled in the Holy Spirit and under the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom we have declared Mother of the Church, and of St. Joseph, her glorious spouse, and of the Apostles SS. Peter and Paul, must be numbered without doubt among the greatest events of the Church. In fact it was the largest in the number of Fathers who came to the seat of Peter from every part of the world, even from those places where the hierarchy has been very recently established. It was the richest because of the questions which for four sessions have been discussed carefully and profoundly. And last of all it was the most opportune, because, bearing in mind the necessities of the present day, above all it sought to meet the pastoral needs and, nourishing the flame of charity, it has made a great effort to reach not only the Christians still separated from communion with the Holy See, but also the whole human family.

At last all which regards the holy ecumenical council has, with the help of God, been accomplished and all the constitutions, decrees, declarations and votes have been approved by the deliberation of the synod and promulgated by us. Therefore we decided to close for all intents and purposes, with our apostolic authority, this same ecumenical council called by our predecessor, Pope John XXIII, which opened October 11, 1962, and which was continued by us after his death.

We decided moreover that all that has been established synodally is to be religiously observed by all the faithful, for the glory of God and the dignity of the Church and for the tranquillity and peace of all men. We have approved and established these things, decreeing that the present letters are and remain stable and valid, and are to have legal effectiveness, so that they be disseminated and obtain full and complete effect, and so that they may be fully convalidated by those whom they concern or may concern now and in the future; and so that, as it be judged and described, all efforts contrary to these things by whomever or whatever authority, knowingly or in ignorance be invalid and worthless from now on.

The theological faculty at Charles University in the Czech Republic is indeed committed to the "religious observance" of the decrees of the "Second" Vatican Council. Although it is open to debate whether the theological faculty at Charles University in the Czech Republic can rely upon the actual text of Nostra Aetate for their recognition of "Judaism as an autonomous path of redemption," it is certainly true that the faculty can rely upon the language and the actions of the conciliar "pontiffs" to reach such a conclusion. Consider this article, written by my former colleague John Vennari, who, of course, rejects sedevacantism entirely, shortly after the death of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II on April 1 or 2, 2005 (as is the case with so much of conciliarism, the actual death of John Paul II's death is a matter of dispute):

In what appears to be an attempt to make “explicit” what was “implicit” in the Council Document Nostra Aetate,[38] Pope John Paul II said the following in a speech to a Jewish Community in Mainz, Germany on November 17, 1980:

“The first dimension of this dialogue, that is, the meeting between the people of the Old Covenant, never revoked by God, and that of the New Covenant, is at the same time a dialogue within our Church, that is to say, between the first and second part of her Bible ... Jews and Christians, as children of Abraham, are called to be a blessing to the world. By committing themselves together for peace and justice among all men and peoples.”[39]

This statement of the Pope, in fact, is now quoted in modern Church documents to reinforce the new, post-Conciliar teaching against “supersessionism”.

In 1985, the Vatican issued its Notes on the Correct Way to Present the Jews and Judaism in Preaching and Catechesis of the Roman Catholic Church.[40] The document’s introduction bids the reader to take “special note” of Paragraph 3 “which speaks about Judaism as a present reality and not only as a historical (and thus superseded) reality.” When we turn to Paragraph 3, we see that the Notes quotes the above speech where John Paul speaks of “the people of God of the Old Covenant” which has “not been revoked.”[41]

Far from claiming that the Notes misinterpreted his words, John Paul spoke of his unqualified support of the document. On October 28, 1985, John Paul II said “[The] Notes on the Correct Way to Present the Jews and Judaism in Preaching and Catechesis of the Roman Catholic Church” is “proof of the Holy See’s continued interest in and commitment to this renewed relationship between the Catholic Church and the Jewish people,” and that the Notes “will greatly help toward freeing our catechetical and religious teaching of a negative or inaccurate presentation of Jews and Judaism in the context of the Catholic Faith”.[42]

Thus it is demonstrable that what the Jews say of John Paul II is true; the words they quote from John Paul II are found in Vatican documents with John Paul II’s approval.

Yet we know from Saint Peter’s sermon on the first Pentecost, that the Old Covenant is not still in force, not acceptable to God, not capable of providing salvation. We know from the words of Our Lord Jesus Christ that those who will not accept Him will die in their sins. We know from Saint John’s Epistle that he who denies that Jesus is the Christ, is anti-Christ. We know from Saint Paul’s Letter to the Hebrews that the New Covenant has made obsolete the Old. And we know from the infallible Council of Florence that the Old Covenant ceased with the establishment of the New Covenant by Jesus Christ. For the conciliar "pontiffs" and many conciliar "bishops" (see my asterisked footnotes at the end of Meltdown) and the theological faculty at Charles University to be correct about the "validity" of Talmudic Judaism, Pope Eugene IV and the Fathers of the Council of Florence had to be wrong when they issued Cantate Domino:

It [the Holy Roman Church] firmly believes, professes, and teaches that the matter pertaining to the law of the Old Testament, of the Mosaic law, which are divided into ceremonies, sacred rites, sacrifices, and sacraments, because they were established to signify something in the future, although they were suited to the divine worship at that time, after our Lord's coming had been signified by them, ceased, and the sacraments of the New Testament began; and that whoever, even after the passion, placed hope in these matters of the law and submitted himself to them as necessary for salvation, as if faith in Christ could not save without them, sinned mortally. Yet it does not deny that after the passion of Christ up to the promulgation of the Gospel they could have been observed until they were believed to be in no way necessary for salvation; but after the promulgation of the Gospel it asserts that they cannot be observed without the loss of eternal salvation. All, therefore, who after that time observe circumcision and the Sabbath and the other requirements of the law, it declares alien to the Christian faith and not in the least fit to participate in eternal salvation, unless someday they recover from these errors. Therefore, it commands all who glory in the name of Christian, at whatever time, before or after baptism, to cease entirely from circumcision, since, whether or not one places hope in it, it cannot be observed at all without the loss of eternal salvation. Regarding children, indeed, because of danger of death, which can often take place, when no help can be brought to them by another remedy than through the sacrament of baptism, through which they are snatched from the domination of the Devil and adopted among the sons of God, it advises that holy baptism ought not to be deferred for forty or eighty days, or any time according to the observance of certain people, but it should be conferred as soon as it can be done conveniently, but so ,that, when danger of death is imminent, they be baptized in the form of the Church, early without delay, even by a layman or woman, if a priest should be lacking, just as is contained more fully in the decree of the Armenians. . . .

It firmly believes, professes, and proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics cannot become participants in eternal life, but will depart "into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels" [Matt. 25:41], unless before the end of life the same have been added to the flock; and that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that only to those remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for salvation, and do fastings, almsgiving, and other functions of piety and exercises of Christian service produce eternal reward, and that no one, whatever almsgiving he has practiced, even if he has shed blood for the name of Christ, can be saved, unless he has remained in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.

 

Since when does God the Holy Ghost, under Whose infallible direction the Council of Florence met, contradict Himself. How can any conciliar"pope" put this teaching into question? How is it that members of a theological faculty of an allegedly "Catholic" university are exempt from a complete and total submission to Cantate Domino as a perpetually binding statement of the Catholic Faith? Only Modernists can do so as they treat decrees such as Cantate Domino as historically "conditioned" statement whose "validity" must be "re-examined" in light of changing circumstances, including, we are told, the events of World War II. To adhere to this view, however, is to adhere to a proposition condemned by the [First] Vatican Council and condemned in no uncertain terms by Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907.

Where is the outrage from the "conservative" bloggers in Europe over Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's words and actions that do indeed convey the belief that those who adhere to the dead, superseded religion that belongs to the devil, Talmudic Judaism, are not in any jeopardy at all of losing the salvation of their immortal souls for all eternity? Where is the outrage from these "conservative" bloggers in Europe over the esteem paid by their "pope" to the symbols of false religions, an esteem that makes a complete and utter mockery of the First Commandment and of the blood shed by millions upon millions of Catholic martyrs who preferred death rather than to give even the faintest hint of esteeming the symbols of any false religions?

One of the most profound ironies of the era of apostasy and betrayal wrought by conciliarism is that the defenders of the conciliar "pontiffs" and the critics of these "pontiffs" who have remained attached to the conciliar structures both believe that it is possible for a legitimate Sovereign Pontiff of the Catholic Church to speak and act in ways that violate the First Commandment and/or contradict the decrees of dogmatic councils and of the true popes prior to the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958. Bishop Richard Williamson, who has been attacked savagely by adherents of the Talmud and denounced by Ratzinger/Benedict, Bishop Fellay and a veritable phalanx of conciliar "bishops," believes that Ratzinger/Benedict is a true Successor of Saint Peter, and that it is possible for a true Roman Pontiff to act and speak as he does and to remain a member of the Catholic Church. His critics believe as well in the legitimacy of the conciliar "pontiffs" and consider him, not without justification, to be disloyal to those "pontiffs (please listen once again to The Errors of the Society of St Pius X).

It is, of course, impossible for the Catholic Church to be responsible for the sorts of apostasies and betrayals that have emanated from the lords of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. The Catholic Church can never be contaminated by error or blasphemy or apostasy:

So, Venerable Brethren, it is clear why this Apostolic See has never allowed its subjects to take part in the assemblies of non-Catholics: for the union of Christians can only be promoted by promoting the return to the one true Church of Christ of those who are separated from it, for in the past they have unhappily left it. To the one true Church of Christ, we say, which is visible to all, and which is to remain, according to the will of its Author, exactly the same as He instituted it. During the lapse of centuries, the mystical Spouse of Christ has never been contaminated, nor can she ever in the future be contaminated, as Cyprian bears witness: "The Bride of Christ cannot be made false to her Spouse: she is incorrupt and modest. She knows but one dwelling, she guards the sanctity of the nuptial chamber chastely and modestly." The same holy Martyr with good reason marveled exceedingly that anyone could believe that "this unity in the Church which arises from a divine foundation, and which is knit together by heavenly sacraments, could be rent and torn asunder by the force of contrary wills." For since the mystical body of Christ, in the same manner as His physical body, is one, compacted and fitly joined together, it were foolish and out of place to say that the mystical body is made up of members which are disunited and scattered abroad: whosoever therefore is not united with the body is no member of it, neither is he in communion with Christ its head.

Furthermore, in this one Church of Christ no man can be or remain who does not accept, recognize and obey the authority and supremacy of Peter and his legitimate successors. Did not the ancestors of those who are now entangled in the errors of Photius and the reformers, obey the Bishop of Rome, the chief shepherd of souls? Alas their children left the home of their fathers, but it did not fall to the ground and perish for ever, for it was supported by God. Let them therefore return to their common Father, who, forgetting the insults previously heaped on the Apostolic See, will receive them in the most loving fashion. For if, as they continually state, they long to be united with Us and ours, why do they not hasten to enter the Church, "the Mother and mistress of all Christ's faithful"? Let them hear Lactantius crying out: "The Catholic Church is alone in keeping the true worship. This is the fount of truth, this the house of Faith, this the temple of God: if any man enter not here, or if any man go forth from it, he is a stranger to the hope of life and salvation. Let none delude himself with obstinate wrangling. For life and salvation are here concerned, which will be lost and entirely destroyed, unless their interests are carefully and assiduously kept in mind."

 

No legitimate Successor of Saint Peter can deny the nature of dogmatic truth or reject the ecumenism of the return or pray with infidels and heretics, claiming, for example, that the heretical and schismatic"Patriarch of Constantinople" is "pastor in the Church of Christ" (see Common Declaration by Benedict XVI and Bartholomew I November 30, 2006). Fathers Francisco and Dominic Radecki, CMRI, pointed this out in their very thoroughly and most scholarly Tumultuous Times, which refutes many of the most common anti-sedevacantist arguments (such as the contention that there have been two "heretical" popes in the past):

"A legitimate pope cannot contradict or deny what was first taught by Christ to His Church. An essential change in belief constitutes the establishment of a new religion.

"The attribute of infallibility was given to the popes in order that the revealed doctrines and teaching of Christ would remain forever intact and unchanged. It is contrary to faith and reason to blindly follow an alleged pope who attempts to destroy the Catholic Faith--for there have been 41 documented antipopes. Papal infallibility means that the Holy Ghost guides and preserves the Catholic Church from error through the succession of legitimate popes who have ruled the Church through the centuries. All Catholics, including Christ's Vicar on earth, the pope, must accept all the doctrinal pronouncements of past popes. These infallible teachings form a vital link between Christ and St. Peter and his successors.

"If a pope did not accept and believe this entire body of formulated teachings (the Deposit of Faith), he could not himself be a Catholic. He would cease to belong to Christ's Church. If he no longer belongs to the Catholic Church, he cannot be her Head." It is indeed ironic that Bishop Williamson, who played a pivotal role in convincing the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre to expel "The Nine" twenty-six years ago (see The Nine vs. Lefebvre: We Resist You to Your Face, Bp. Williamson's Mentevacantist Error, The Crux of the Matter and The Mountains of Gelboe; please take the time to read these articles full of Catholic truth) places the same sorts of limitations on papal infallibility as do the "progressives" who hate him with a passion, "bishops" and "theologians" who believe that Ratzinger/Benedict, a progenitor and apologist of conciliarism who wants to neutralize all opposition to the "council" from traditionally-minded Catholics before he dies, is not to be obeyed on matters such as the nonadmissability of women to the Holy Priesthood and the intrinsic evil of contraception and the doctrine that divorced persons who have remarried with decrees of nullity (leaving aside, of course, the documented abuse of the nullity process in the counterfeit church of conciliarism) cannot be admitted to the Sacraments. Both Bishop Williamson (as well as his brother bishops in the Society of Saint Pius X) and the conciliar "bishops" who despise the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church believe that it is a thoroughly Catholic proposition to "resist and recognize" a true Sovereign Pontiff. Saint Vincent Lerins explained in  Fifth Century that Catholics must hold to everything that has been taught throughout by Holy Mother Church without a shadow of change:

"Do not be misled by various and passing doctrines. In the Catholic Church Herself we must be careful to hold what has been believed everywhere, always and by all; for that alone is truly and properly Catholic." (Saint Vincent of Lerins, quoted in Tumultuous Times by Frs. Francisco and Dominic Radecki, CMRI, p. 279.)

 

The [First] Vatican Council, relying upon the decrees of the Fourth Council of Constantinople, taught that "in the Apostolic See the Catholic religion has always been kept unsullied, and its teaching kept holy:"

“So the fathers of the Fourth Council of Constantinople, following closely in the footsteps of their predecessors, made this solemn profession: ‘The first condition of salvation is to keep the norm of the true Faith. For it is impossible that the words of our Lord Jesus Christ Who said, “Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church” (Matt. 16:18), should not be verified. And their truth has been proved by the course of history, for in the Apostolic See the Catholic religion has always been kept unsullied, and its teaching kept holy.’ ...for they fully realized that this See of St. Peter always remains untainted by any error, according to the divine promise of our Lord and Savior made to the prince of his disciples, ‘I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and do thou, when once thou has turned again, strengthen thy brethren’ (Luke 22:32).” (On the infallible teaching authority of the Roman pontiff )

 

None other than Saint Paul himself taught us that we must hold fast to the traditions of the Church, especially as the operation of error is at work in those who are the precursors of Antichrist:

And we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together unto him: That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself as if he were God. Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way. And then that wicked one shall be revealed whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth; and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, him, Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:

That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity. But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved of God, for that God hath chosen you firstfruits unto salvation, in sanctification of the spirit, and faith of the truth: Whereunto also he hath called you by our gospel, unto the purchasing of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. (2 Thess. 2: 1-14.)

 

The Catholic Church can never be stained by the sorts of errors that have emanated from the conciliar officials in the Vatican in the past fifty years. One either accepts that or he does not. Those who do accept it, however, must reject the legitimacy of the conciliar officials as imposters who have no more authority to change the Sacred Liturgy or to promulgate doctrines and decrees in contradiction to the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church than the currently reigning "archbishop" of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.

A final irony raised by the storm clouds that still hover over Bishop Richard Williamson is presented by the fact that most of the conciliar "bishops" who have criticized him harshly for his remarks televised on January 21, 2009, are direct enablers of pro-abortion Catholic politicians in their own archdioceses and dioceses. These "bishops" do not consider it an impediment to "full communion" in their false, counterfeit church for a Catholic to play a direct, intentional role in the passing of legislation and/or the enforcement of existing legislation and court decisions that are responsible for the slaughter of hundreds of million of innocent preborn children, both by chemical and surgical means, under cover of the civil law.

The refusal of these "bishops" to discipline pro-abortion Catholics in public life is one of the greatest scandals of the counterfeit church of concilairism. And no matter the disputes concerning the nature and extent of the crimes of the Third Reich (and it is never a matter of "quibbling" to seek the truth of conclusions that have been reached by "mainstream" historians. Truth matters both in the realm of the sacred and the profane, that is, in the Order of Redemption and the Order of Nature), it is indeed absolutely indisputable that hundreds of millions of innocent preborn human beings have been killed under cover of the civil law with the full assistance, support and public promotion offered by "Catholics" who remain in perfectly "good standing" in the counterfeit church of concilairism nevertheless.

Some might object at this point that Ratzinger/Benedict scolded the pro-abortion Catholic Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America, Nancy Pelosi, on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, a fact that I noted two days ago in Meltdown, which underwent a bit of tweaking during the day yesterday, especially as I added asterisked footnotes to document some of the apostasies of the triumvirate of conciliar "bishops" who mediated the dispute between Archbishop Raymond Hunthausen and "Bishop" Donald Wuerl).

Yes, Ratzinger/Benedict scolded Nancy Pelosi. In effect, however, the false pontiff said, "Naughty, naughty, Nancy." She was not in the least bit moved as she knows that she will not be denied what purports to be Holy Communion in the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service when she returns to Washington, D.C., where one Donald Wuerl governs the Archdiocese of Washington in conciliar captivity, or when she returns home to San Francisco, California, where the odious George Niederauer, who gave what purported to be Holy Communion to the members of the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" in 2007, governs the Archdiocese of San Francisco in conciliar captivity.

Indeed, Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi was enabled for over ten years by Niederauer's predecessor as the conciliar "archbishop" of San Francisco, a chap named William Levada, a former protege of Joseph "Cardinal" Ratzinger. Yes, "Archbishop" Levada issued statements in support of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II's Evangelium Vitae and explained, as Ratzinger/Benedict did to Mrs. Pelosi two days ago, that Catholics must accept the truth about the intrinsic evil of contraception and abortion. Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi remained a "Catholic" in perfectly "good standing" in the counterfeit church of concilairism despite such statements from Levada, who did nothing to discipline the powerful Congresswoman from the Fifth (later to become the Eighth) Congressional District in the State of California. Ratzinger/Benedict has done nothing to discipline her. Nothing.

The time for scolding pro-abortion Catholic politicians, ladies and gentlemen, has long since passed. How much more innocent blood needs to be shed until the lot of Catholic pro-abortion politicians is banished from the One World Church of conciliarism? Indeed, it is because the "popes" of this One World Church believe in "dialogue" and "persuasion" that they have not addressed pro-abortion Catholic politicians in these stirring words of Pope Pius XI:

"Those who hold the reins of government should not forget that it is the duty of public authority by appropriate laws and sanctions to defend the lives of the innocent, and this all the more so since those whose lives are endangered and assailed cannot defend themselves. Among whom we must mention in the first place infants hidden in the mother's womb. And if the public magistrates not only do not defend them, but by their laws and ordinances betray them to death at the hands of doctors or of others, let them remember that God is the Judge and Avenger of innocent blood which cried from earth to Heaven." (Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubii, December 30, 1930.)

Anyone who knows anything about my writing over the years knows that, despite my abandoning my "conservative" papalotry and then my "indulterer" and "resist and recognize ways, there has been absolute consistency on the insistence that Catholics in public life who support the deliberate, direct, intentional taking of innocent preborn human life have expelled themselves from the Catholic Church. Admittedly written at a time I believed the conciliar authorities to hold ecclesiastical office legitimately, one of my articles in The Wanderer in this vein in the 1990s was entitled, "Excommunicate Them All." That article was simply one of many over the years. My current criticism of men I now realize to be pretenders to ecclesiastical office for their refusal to discipline pro-abortion Catholic politicians is nothing new, therefore.

Remember, I did pay a very high price (and I know that my sins deserve a much higher price than anything I have thus far paid!) in my academic career for running for lieutenant governor of the State of New York on the Right to Life Party line in 1986, and for insisting quite uncompromisingly on the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King as the one and only foundation of social order. Although my embrace of sedevacantism has been only within the past three years, I have been quite consistent throughout the course of my teaching and speaking and writing careers in explaining that it is impossible for one to support abortion, whether by chemical or surgical means, under cover of the civil law and remain a member of the Catholic Church, making frequent advertence to this injunction contained in Pope Leo XIII's Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885:

Hence, lest concord be broken by rash charges, let this be understood by all, that the integrity of Catholic faith cannot be reconciled with opinions verging on naturalism or rationalism, the essence of which is utterly to do away with Christian institutions and to install in society the supremacy of man to the exclusion of God. Further, it is unlawful to follow one line of conduct in private life and another in public, respecting privately the authority of the Church, but publicly rejecting it; for this would amount to joining together good and evil, and to putting man in conflict with himself; whereas he ought always to be consistent, and never in the least point nor in any condition of life to swerve from Christian virtue.

 

It is indeed ironic that Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi and Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., and Edward Moore Kennedy and David Paterson and George Elmer Pataki and Mario Matthew Cuomo and Andrew Cuomo and Rudolph William Giuliani and Rick Lazio and Susan Molinari and Susan Collins and Richard Durbin and Thomas Harkin and Kathleen Sebelius and Jennifer Granholm and Patricia Murray and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mary Landrieu and Tom Ridge and James Florio and James McGreevey and Robert Menendez and Barbara Mikulski and John F. Kerry and Patrick Kennedy and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and Loretta Sanchez Brixey and Linda Sanchez and Gray Davis and Carolyn McCarthy and Thomas Foley, among so many others, including the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan and the late Thomas P. O'Neill and the late Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America William Brennan (who was buried with a full conciliar "Mass of Christian Burial" despite his casing one of the seven votes in favor of the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in the cases of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton; Moynihan and O'Neill also were buried as "Catholics" in "good standing"--as will Edward Moore Kennedy when he dies), have remained in "good standing" in the conciliar structures despite their full, active and conscious participation, to borrow a conciliar phrase, thank you very much, in the deaths of millions upon millions of the innocent preborn, making them full partners with numerous "reform" rabbis who have promoted this slaughter with a reckless abandon in the name of "reproductive rights," while Bishop Richard Williamson is considered to have defected from the Catholic Faith for having put into question the conclusions of "mainstream" historians.  (Yes, that was one sentence.)  Then again, I have pointed out repeatedly on this site, including in Lest We Forget, Memo to Joseph Biden and Nancy Pelosi and Their Conciliar Enablers, Fact and Fiction, Trapped by Apostasy, Willfully Trapped by Apostasy, Apostasy Has Consequences, and Cushing's Children), that many conciliarists consider the only real apostasy to be an unswerving adherence to the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church, including the Social Reign of Christ the King, which is why they are so eager to serve as the enablers of enemies of Our King Who offered Himself up on the wood of the Holy Cross as the true Holocaust in atonement for our sins.

Unfortunately, however, there is a further irony in all of this: many in the Society of Saint Pius X, including Bishop Williamson, evidently believe that it is better to maintain a false ecclesiology (that one can "resist and recognize" a true pontiff) than to admit that "The Nine" were correct twenty-six years ago, which is why what is happening at the present time is but a logical, if not inevitable, consequence of an adherence to the principles of Gallicanism that were condemned by Pope Pius VI in Auctorem Fidei, August 28, 1794. It is not possible for a Catholic to talk to a Sovereign Pontiff on matters of Faith and morals ("Naughty, Naughty, Your Holiness") as the currently reigning antipope and his "bishops" talk to pro-abortion Catholic politicians. It has never been the case in the history of the Catholic Church that bishops and priests and members of the laity have had to "correct" legitimate popes on numerous points of doctrine for a period of over forty years. No true pope has engaged in the unspeakable acts of sacrilege and blasphemy that have been committed by the conciliarists. No true pope can do such things (see Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., An Objection to Sedevacantism: 'Perpetual Successors' to Peter and Bishop Donald Sanborn's The Dissent of Faith).

It is a grace to be able to recognize the truth of our ecclesiastical situation. As I have noted in other articles, although the late Mario Francesco "Cardinal" Pompedda, the former head of the Apostolic Signatura for the conciliar church, did not believe that the canonical doctrine of sedevacantism applied to the "papacy" of Karol Wojtyla/John Paul II, he did state that sedevacantism is indeed the canonical doctrine of the Catholic Church:

It is true that the canonical doctrine states that the see would be vacant in the case of heresy. ... But in regard to all else, I think what is applicable is what judgment regulates human acts. And the act of will, namely a resignation or capacity to govern or not govern, is a human act. (Cardinal Says Pope Could Govern Even If Unable to Speak, Zenit, February 8, 2005.)

 

No, the belief that those who fall from the Faith cannot hold ecclesiastical office is not held merely by the "nutty" sedevacantists. Mario "Cardinal" Pompedda stated that it is the canonical doctrine of the Church that the see of Peter "would be vacant in the case of heresy." So much for some of the current efforts to disprove that sedevacantism is even a possibility at any time, no less that it applies at this time, which is a judgment that one must make in the practical order about whether claimants of ecclesiastical office have defected from the Faith by virtue of violating the Divine Positive Law, thereby falling into the category of heretics described by Pope Leo XIII in Satis Cognitum, June 29, 1896:

The Church, founded on these principles and mindful of her office, has done nothing with greater zeal and endeavour than she has displayed in guarding the integrity of the faith. Hence she regarded as rebels and expelled from the ranks of her children all who held beliefs on any point of doctrine different from her own. The Arians, the Montanists, the Novatians, the Quartodecimans, the Eutychians, did not certainly reject all Catholic doctrine: they abandoned only a certain portion of it. Still who does not know that they were declared heretics and banished from the bosom of the Church? In like manner were condemned all authors of heretical tenets who followed them in subsequent ages. "There can be nothing more dangerous than those heretics who admit nearly the whole cycle of doctrine, and yet by one word, as with a drop of poison, infect the real and simple faith taught by our Lord and handed down by Apostolic tradition" (Auctor Tract. de Fide Orthodoxa contra Arianos).

The practice of the Church has always been the same, as is shown by the unanimous teaching of the Fathers, who were wont to hold as outside Catholic communion, and alien to the Church, whoever would recede in the least degree from any point of doctrine proposed by her authoritative Magisterium. Epiphanius, Augustine, Theodore :, drew up a long list of the heresies of their times. St. Augustine notes that other heresies may spring up, to a single one of which, should any one give his assent, he is by the very fact cut off from Catholic unity. "No one who merely disbelieves in all (these heresies) can for that reason regard himself as a Catholic or call himself one. For there may be or may arise some other heresies, which are not set out in this work of ours, and, if any one holds to one single one of these he is not a Catholic" (S. Augustinus, De Haeresibus, n. 88).  (Bishop Donald Sanborn explained in Opinionism how such judgments are made in a time of apostasy and betrayal.)

Lent is coming. Indeed, the beginning of Lent is less than five days away. Although we must live penitentially every day of our lives in reparation for our sins and those of the whole world, we must make firm resolutions now to make a holy, austere Lent of penance, remembering that none of us can excuse ourselves for how our sins have contributed to the worsening of the state of the Church Militant on earth and of the world-at-large. We must pray also for all others, remembering that we are no better than anyone else, that is is easy to lose graces and to embrace the smooth and wide path of conciliarism, full of its concessions to ease and comfort and human respect, that it is far easier than we can imagine to lose the Faith altogether! Yes, we pray for all others, especially for those from whom we are estranged in this period of apostasy and betrayal, keeping uppermost in our prayers the conciliarists who commit endless atrocities against the honor and glory and majesty of God and the souls He redeemed by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood souls with such utter abandon and impunity.

The hour is late. In the midst of apostasy and betrayal on every side imaginable, we must enfold ourselves in the mantle of Our Lady's Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel as our shield and use her Most Holy Rosary as our weapon to pray in reparation for our sins and those of the whole world, offering our prayers and sufferings and sacrifices to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, entrusting our souls exclusively to true bishops and true priests who make no concessions to concilairism or to the nonexistent legitimacy of its false shepherds, men who bay at the moon when adherents of the Talmud are "offended" but who can only say "naughty, naughty" to those responsible for the mystical dismemberment of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the persons of innocent preborn children in their mothers' wombs.

May the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary come soon. Very soon!
