Dolan Finally Tells The Truth!
by Thomas A. Droleskey
No, no, no. Not that Dolan! Come on, fiction is not my speciality, thank you. (Lighten up, folks)
Yes, I am talking about Timothy Dolan, the man who has been masquerading as the "archbishop" of New York since April 15, 2009. You remember him, don't you? Yes, we're talking about the happy "bishop" who said last year that one could use whatever name you want to refer to God. That Dolan.
Yes, the man who said the following shortly after his "installation" as the conciliar "archbishop" of New York in 2009:
"I have long admired the work of the Anti-Defamation League from
afar, and now to receive your welcome and your assurances of our hope
for future cooperation, which I enthusiastically share, means very much
to me." (Press Release of the Anti-Defamtion League.)
I will reprise yet again an appendix documenting that a very important part of the "work" of the Anti-Defamation of League of B'Nai Brith, a Masonic organization, has included filing numerous amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs to support the nonexistent "right" of women to butcher their innocent preborn children by chemical and/or surgical means and to support the "rights" of those who are engaged in perverse sins of unnatural vice against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments to "marry."
That Dolan is at it again:
NEW YORK (CNS) -- Catholics and
Jews can most effectively capitalize on five decades of progress in
their relations by joining forces to promote religious freedom, defend
immigrants, face a common threat from fanatics and advocate for civility
in politics and society, said New York Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan.
He addressed more than 250 Jewish leaders assembled in New York Nov. 3
for the annual meeting of the Anti-Defamation League, an organization
that fights anti-Semitism.
Reflecting on the current state and future of Catholic-Jewish relations,
Archbishop Dolan said both groups must "continue to rejoice in how far
we've come," but not take the progress for granted. He dated the
beginning of positive change to "Nostra Aetate," the Second Vatican
Council's declaration on relations with non-Christian religions.
He said "Nostra Aetate" was "one of the most enlightened documents" of the council and it "set the bar high."
It also opened the door to unprecedented visits to synagogues and Israel
by Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. "To have the man we call the
vicar of Christ go to a synagogue is of earthquake proportions,"
Archbishop Dolan said.
Archbishop Dolan said Pope Benedict's Oct. 27 meeting in Assisi, Italy,
with leaders of other faiths could not have happened 50 years ago. (Catholics, Jews urged to work together to promote the heresy of religious liberty.)
Extra! Extra! You've just read all about it! Timothy Dolan has finally spoken some truth.
Yes, you better believe that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is the man that people in the counterfeit church of conciliarism call the Vicar of Christ. That does not make this apostate a true Successor of Saint Peter. No one who defects from the Faith on a single point of her doctrine can remain inside the bosom of Holy Mother Church:
The Church, founded on these principles and mindful
of her office, has done nothing with greater zeal and endeavour than she
has displayed in guarding the integrity of the faith. Hence she
regarded as rebels and expelled from the ranks of her children all who
held beliefs on any point of doctrine different from her own. The
Arians, the Montanists, the Novatians, the Quartodecimans, the
Eutychians, did not certainly reject all Catholic doctrine: they
abandoned only a certain portion of it. Still who does not know that
they were declared heretics and banished from the bosom of the Church? In like manner were condemned all authors of heretical tenets who followed them in subsequent ages. "There
can be nothing more dangerous than those heretics who admit nearly the
whole cycle of doctrine, and yet by one word, as with a drop of poison,
infect the real and simple faith taught by our Lord and handed down by
Apostolic tradition" (Auctor Tract. de Fide Orthodoxa contra Arianos).
The practice of the Church has always been the
same, as is shown by the unanimous teaching of the Fathers, who were
wont to hold as outside Catholic communion, and alien to the Church,
whoever would recede in the least degree from any point of doctrine
proposed by her authoritative Magisterium. Epiphanius, Augustine,
Theodore :, drew up a long list of the heresies of their times. St.
Augustine notes that other heresies may spring up, to a single one of
which, should any one give his assent, he is by the very fact cut off
from Catholic unity. "No one who merely disbelieves in all (these
heresies) can for that reason regard himself as a Catholic or call
himself one. For there may be or may arise some other heresies, which
are not set out in this work of ours, and, if any one holds to one
single one of these he is not a Catholic" (S. Augustinus, De Haeresibus,
n. 88).
The need of this divinely instituted means for
the preservation of unity, about which we speak is urged by St. Paul in
his epistle to the Ephesians. In this he first admonishes them to
preserve with every care concord of minds: "Solicitous to keep the unity
of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Eph. iv., 3, et seq.). And as
souls cannot be perfectly united in charity unless minds agree in faith,
he wishes all to hold the same faith: "One Lord, one faith," and this
so perfectly one as to prevent all danger of error: "that henceforth we
be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every
wind of doctrine by the wickedness of men, by cunning craftiness, by
which they lie in wait to deceive" (Eph. iv., 14): and this he teaches
is to be observed, not for a time only - "but until we all meet in the
unity of faith...unto the measure of the age of the fullness of Christ"
(13). But, in what has Christ placed the primary principle, and the
means of preserving this unity? In that - "He gave some Apostles - and
other some pastors and doctors, for the perfecting of the saints, for
the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ"
(11-12). (Pope Leo XIII, Satis Cognitum, June 29, 1896; see also Gregorius's The Chair is Still Empty.)
Yes, the "happy bishop" got it right. He can may call Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI the Vicar of Christ. That doesn't make it so, however.
No man who causes the earthquake against Catholic truth by entering into synagogues and, considering himself to be the Successor of Saint Peter, is content to be treated as inferior as "hymns" are sung that proclaim that the Messias is yet to come can be anything other than an enemy of Christ the King and thus of souls, including the souls of the adherents of the blasphemous Talmud, which, although false, is not dead religion of Biblical Judaism, by reaffirming them in their false religions and refusing to act as the first pope, Saint Peter, did when seeking to convert the Jews on Pentecost Sunday and thereafter. (See also Saint Vincent Ferrer and Anti-Saint Vincent Ferrers.)
The teaching of the Catholic Church is clear concerning those who dare to enter into a Talmudic synagogue:
From this passage the learned translators of the Rheims New Testament, in their note, justly observe, "That,
in matters of religion, in praying, hearing their sermons, presence at
their service, partaking of their sacraments, and all other
communicating with them in spiritual things, it is a great and damnable
sin to deal with them." And if this be the case with all in general, how much more with those who are well instructed and better versed in their religion than others? For their doing any of these things must be a much greater crime than in ignorant people, because they know their duty better. (Bishop George Hay, The Laws of God Forbidding All Communication in Religion With Those of a False Religion.)
The spirit of Christ, which dictated the Holy
Scriptures, and the spirit which animates and guides the Church of
Christ, and teaches her all truth, is the same; and therefore in all ages her conduct on this point has been uniformly the same as what the Holy Scripture teaches. She
has constantly forbidden her children to hold any communication, in
religious matters, with those who are separated from her communion; and
this she has sometimes done under the most severe penalties. In the
apostolical canons, which are of very ancient standing, and for the most
part handed down from the apostolical age, it is thus decreed: "If any
bishop, or priest, or deacon, shall join in prayers with heretics, let
him be suspended from Communion". (Can. 44)
Also, "If any clergyman or laic shall go
into the synagogue of the Jews, or the meetings of heretics, to join in
prayer with them, let him be deposed, and deprived of communion". (Can. 63) (Bishop George Hay, (The Laws of God Forbidding All Communication in Religion With Those of a False Religion.)
There was an earthquake in Jerusalem on Good Friday when Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ breathed His breath and died. The curtain of the Temple in Jerusalem was torn in two from top to bottom, signifying the end of the Old Covenant and its supersession with the New and Eternal Covenant, instituted by Our Lord at the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, that was ratified by the shedding of ever single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross:
[46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying: Eli,
Eli, lamma sabacthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken
me? [47] And some that stood there and heard, said: This man calleth Elias. [48] And immediately one of them running took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar; and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. [49] And the others said: Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to deliver him. [50] And Jesus again crying with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
[51] And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to
the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent. [52] And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose, [53] And coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, came into the holy city, and appeared to many. [54] Now
the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus, having seen
the earthquake, and the things that were done, were sore afraid, saying:
Indeed this was the Son of God. And there were there many women afar off, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: (Matthew 27: 46-54.)
Unlike Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and his happy-go-lucky stooge, Curly Dolan, Pope Pius XII taught clearly what the events of Good Friday signified for the Jews: in the immortal words of Boris Badenov, "Kaputski, Natasha"::
28.That He completed His work on the gibbet of the
Cross is the unanimous teaching of the holy Fathers who assert that the
Church was born from the side of our Savior on the Cross like a new Eve,
mother of all the living. [28]
"And it is now," says the great St. Ambrose, speaking of the pierced
side of Christ, "that it is built, it is now that it is formed, it is
now that is .... molded, it is now that it is created . . . Now it is
that arises a spiritual house, a holy priesthood." [29] One who reverently examines this venerable teaching will easily discover the reasons on which it is based.
29.And first of all, by the death of our
Redeemer, the New Testament took the place of the Old Law which had been
abolished; then the Law of Christ together with its mysteries,
enactments, institutions, and sacred rites was ratified for the whole
world in the blood of Jesus Christ. For, while our Divine
Savior was preaching in a restricted area - He was not sent but to the
sheep that were lost of the house of Israel [30] -the Law and the Gospel were together in force; [31] but on the gibbet of his death Jesus made void the Law with its decrees, [32] fastened the handwriting of the Old Testament to the Cross, [33] establishing the New Testament in His blood shed for the whole human race. [34]
"To such an extent, then," says St. Leo the Great, speaking of the
Cross of our Lord, "was there effected a transfer from the Law to the
Gospel, from the Synagogue to the Church, from many sacrifices to one
Victim, that, as our Lord expired, that mystical veil which shut off the
innermost part of the temple and its sacred secret was rent violently
from top to bottom." [35]
30. On the Cross then the Old Law died, soon to be buried and to be a bearer of death, [36] in order to give way to the New Testament of which Christ had chosen the Apostles as qualified ministers; [37]
and although He had been constituted the Head of the whole human family
in the womb of the Blessed Virgin, it is by the power of the Cross that
our Savior exercises fully the office itself of Head in His Church.
"For it was through His triumph on the Cross," according to the teaching
of the Angelic and Common Doctor, "that He won power and dominion over
the gentiles"; [38]
by that same victory He increased the immense treasure of graces,
which, as He reigns in glory in heaven, He lavishes continually on His
mortal members it was by His blood shed on the Cross that God's anger
was averted and that all the heavenly gifts, especially the spiritual
graces of the New and Eternal Testament, could then flow from the
fountains of our Savior for the salvation of men, of the faithful above
all; it was on the tree of the Cross, finally, that He entered into
possession of His Church, that is, of all the members of His Mystical
Body; for they would not have been united to this Mystical Body. (Pope Pius XII, Mystici Corporis, June 29, 1943.)
Perhaps a little dose of Catholic truth from the Council of Florence will cause Timothy Dolan to--again borrowing from Boris Badenov"Sharrup you mouth!":
It [the Holy Roman Church] firmly
believes, professes, and teaches that the matter pertaining to the law
of the Old Testament, of the Mosaic law, which are divided into
ceremonies, sacred rites, sacrifices, and sacraments, because they were
established to signify something in the future, although they were
suited to the divine worship at that time, after our Lord's coming had
been signified by them, ceased, and the sacraments of the New Testament
began; and that whoever, even after the passion, placed hope in these
matters of the law and submitted himself to them as necessary for
salvation, as if faith in Christ could not save without them, sinned
mortally. Yet it does not deny that after the passion of Christ up to
the promulgation of the Gospel they could have been observed until they
were believed to be in no way necessary for salvation; but after the
promulgation of the Gospel it asserts that they cannot be observed
without the loss of eternal salvation. All, therefore, who after that
time observe circumcision and the Sabbath and the other requirements of
the law, it declares alien to the Christian faith and not in the least
fit to participate in eternal salvation, unless someday they recover
from these errors. Therefore, it commands all who glory in the
name of Christian, at whatever time, before or after baptism, to cease
entirely from circumcision, since, whether or not one places hope in it,
it cannot be observed at all without the loss of eternal salvation.
Regarding children, indeed, because of danger of death, which can often
take place, when no help can be brought to them by another remedy than
through the sacrament of baptism, through which they are snatched from
the domination of the Devil and adopted among the sons of God, it
advises that holy baptism ought not to be deferred for forty or eighty
days, or any time according to the observance of certain people, but it
should be conferred as soon as it can be done conveniently, but so
,that, when danger of death is imminent, they be baptized in the form of
the Church, early without delay, even by a layman or woman, if a priest
should be lacking, just as is contained more fully in the decree of the
Armenians. . . .
It firmly believes, professes, and
proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only
pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics cannot become
participants in eternal life, but will depart "into everlasting fire
which was prepared for the devil and his angels" [Matt. 25:41], unless
before the end of life the same have been added to the flock; and that
the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that only to those
remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for
salvation, and do fastings, almsgiving, and other functions of piety and
exercises of Christian service produce eternal reward, and that no one,
whatever almsgiving he has practiced, even if he has shed blood for the
name of Christ, can be saved, unless he has remained in the bosom and
unity of the Catholic Church. (Pope Eugene IV, Cantate Domino, Council of Florence, February 4, 1442.)
Then again, the conciliar revolutionaries never know when to "sharrup" their mouths, which is why they will speak the truth every now and again. For it is indeed the case that the earth quakes at the sight of a putative "pope" going into synagogues and giving speeches at events such as Assisi III that convince Catholics and non-Catholics alike that it is possible for false religions, each of which is from the devil himself, can "contribute" to the the protection of the heresy of "religious liberty" and the establishment of "peace" in the world. It is no wonder that there have been so much earthquake activity recently as the sins against the First and Second Commandments that are committed on a regular basis by the doctrinal and liturgical revolutionaries of the counterfeit church of conciliarism offend not only God but render asunder what little balance is left among the natural elements in the world that have already been so damaged by the after-effects of Original Sin and of the Actual Sins of men, including each and every single one of us.
We must, as the consecrated slaves of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit, attempting to plant a few seeds by means of those Rosaries and our other prayers and penances and sacrifices and mortifications and sufferings and humiliations for a true restoration of the Church Militant on earth, one that will come in God's Holy Providence as He Wills it come without any compromise with the truth and without one moment of a "strategic silence" about those things that offend His greater honor and majesty and glory.
Remember this prophecy, spoken by Saint Dominic de Guzman, to a Brother Angelus of the Order of Carmel in 1208 forty-three years before Our Lady gave the Brown Scapular to Saint Simon Stock:
"One day, Brother Angelus, to your Order of Carmel the Most Blessed Virgin Mary will give a devotion to be known as the Brown Scapular, and to my Order of Preachers she will give a devotion to be known as the Rosary. ONE DAY, THROUGH THE ROSARY AND THE SCAPULAR, SHE WILL SAVE THE WORLD."
It is thus no accident that it was Our Lady of Mount Carmel who appeared in the Cova da Iria near Fatima, Portugal, on October 13, 1917, as she urged us to pray the Rosary daily.
We need to use the shield of the Brown Scapular and the weapon of the Most Holy Rosary to protect us from the inter-related forces of Modernity in the world and of Modernism in the counterfeit church of conciliarism so that we can recognize the truth with clarity and embrace it with courage during this time of apostasy and betrayal that is but a well-deserved chastisements for our sins.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, triumph soon!
Isn't it time to pray a Rosary now?
Vivat Christus Rex! Viva Cristo Rey!
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
Saint Joseph, pray for us.

The "Work" of the Anti-Defamation League That is "Admired" By Timothy Dolan
Here, "Happy 'Bishop'" Dolan, is some of the fruit of the "work" of the Anti-Defamation League, as found in Continuing to Knight Infidels, which was published on this site originally on August 29, 2007.
Doubters out there
should consider the hard evidence that proves this point. Consider the
amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs filed by the Anti-Defamation
League in the case of Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England to oppose the constitutionality of the New Hampshire Parental
Notification Act. Here is a summary of the brief, followed by the first
few paragraphs of the actual brief filed with the Supreme Court of the
United States:
Ayotte v. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, et al. (2005) This Supreme Court case involves the constitutionality of The
New Hampshire Parental Notification Prior to Abortion Act. The Act
prohibits abortions for minors unless the parents have been notified,
but provides exceptions for abortions necessary to prevent death and for
minors who have obtained a judicial declaration that they are mature
enough to make a decision concerning abortion. The First Circuit Court
of Appeals previously ruled that the Act was unconstitutional because it
does not include a health exception and the death exception is too
narrow. ADL, together with 41 other religious and religiously affiliated
organizations, joined a brief authored by the Religious Coalition for
Reproductive Choice. The brief argued, among other things, that in
emergency situations, the Act unconstitutionally threatens the health
and lives of young women, and undermines their right to choose an
abortion in accordance with religious faiths that place great value on
women’s health and lives. The variety of religious beliefs about
abortion underscores the importance of maintaining a private sphere–
free from undue government interference – in which women, including
minors, can make choices to protect their own lives and health in
accordance with their faiths. Although parental guidance in young
women’s major life decisions, including whether to end a pregnancy, is
important, state-mandated parental involvement can sometimes harm the
minor, such as where the family is dysfunctional or where an emergency
situation requires immediate action.
Amici are religious organizations and religiously
affiliated organizations dedicated to preserving religious freedom for
all persons and to protecting a woman’s health and right to carry or
terminate her pregnancy in accordance with her religion and values.1 The
statements of interest provided by amici, included in Appendix B to
this brief, demonstrate their shared interest (from different
perspectives) in the right of women of all ages to make reproductive
choices in accordance with their individual conscience and free from
governmental interference. A full listing of the forty-two (42)
organizations signing this brief as amici curiae appears in Appendix A.
Because amici value life and health, and
recognize the many divergent theological perspectives regarding
abortion, amici agree that all women whose health is at risk should be
free to seek the best available medical advice, without governmental
coercion or constraint, in making the difficult decision whether to
terminate a pregnancy. Adherence to these principles compels amici to
support Respondents in this case.
Because amici, cherish human life and health as
among their most important values. Many of these religions hold that it
is morally appropriate for women of all ages to consider – in accordance
with their faiths – the threat to their lives or health in deciding
whether to terminate a pregnancy. The New Hampshire Parental
Notification Prior to Abortion Act, N.H.Rev. Stat. Ann. §§ 132:24-132:28
(Supp. 2004) (the “New Hampshire Act” or the “Act”), lacks a health
exception and an adequate life exception, as required by this Court’s
precedents. In emergency medical situations, the Act unconstitutionally
threatens the health and lives of young women, and undermines their
right to choose an abortion in accordance with religious faiths that
place great value on women’s health and lives.
The religious component of the rights of privacy
and of reproductive choice have been repeatedly recognized in this
Court’s opinions, including in cases as early as Pierce v. Society of Sisters,
268 U.S. 510 (1925), and as recent as Planned Parenthood of
Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey, 505 U.S. 833 (1992). Many Americans
reflect upon their religious beliefs and moral principles when making
important private decisions about family, marriage, and procreation. The
variety of religious teachings and beliefs about abortion underscores
the importance of maintaining a private sphere – free from undue
government interference – in which women can make choices to protect
their own lives and health in accordance with their faiths and their
consciences. This private sphere extends to minor women who are faced
with pregnancies that threaten their lives and health. Although amici
support and encourage parental guidance in young women’s major life
decisions, including whether to end a pregnancy, they recognize that
state-mandated parental involvement can sometimes harm the minor, such
as where the family is dysfunctional or where an emergency medical
situation requires immediate action. The Constitution protects minors
from such threats to their lives, health, and religious beliefs.
No one associated with an organization responsible
for such a legal brief should be given any earthly awards or honors,
least of all those that carry with the title of "papal knighthood," of
all things. The Catholic Church used to denounce the efforts of
Catholic-hating naturalists to fill the world all manner of social
poisons, seeking to pray for the conversion of such people to her
maternal bosom. The counterfeit church of conciliarism rewards those who
are associated closely with organizations dedicated to the spread of
social evils and who do not want the Holy Name of the Divine Redeemer
uttered publicly, something that one conciliar prelate after another has
more that accommodated himself to by refusing to mention that Holy Name
of Jesus Christ in public with the adherents of the Talmud present.
Want more proof of the Anti-Defamation League's
support for baby-killing under cover of law? Well, here is a press
release from their own site, issued following the decision of the
Supreme Court of the United States in Gonzales v. Carhart, which was not a"pro-life victory (see An Illusion of a Victory), on April 19, 2007:
ADL Disappointed With Supreme Court Ruling On Partial Birth Abortion Act
New York, NY, April 19,
2007 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued the following statement
expressing its disappointment at the Supreme Court's ruling upholding
the federal Partial Birth Abortion Act:
We are deeply troubled by the ramifications of
the Supreme Court's ruling on abortion. By upholding, for the first
time, an abortion statute which contains no exception for the health of
the woman, the Supreme Court has undermined a woman's right to choose
and to act in accordance with her conscience and the dictates of her
faith.
We continue to believe that Americans should have the
freedom to make difficult decisions of conscience and health without
government interference.
ADL joined an amicus brief in the case filed by the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Rights.
"I have long admired the work of the Anti-Defamation
League from afar, and now to receive your welcome and your assurances of
our hope for future cooperation, which I enthusiastically share, means
very much to me"?
Do you still stand by this absurd statement that is
an insult to the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour
entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping
and infallible explication, "Archbishop" Dolan?
Do you have any trace of a sensus Catholicus left in you to raise yourself like a Catholic man and to even take
public note of the work of the Anti-Defamation League to undermine the
binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law, no less
to denounce firmly and unequivocally this wretched work that is from
the devil himself?
How about the following examples of the "work" of the Anti-Defamation League, "Archbishop" Dolan?
Yesterday, the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) urged the Florida Senate Education Pre-K-12 Committee to reject a
divisive and unconstitutional school prayer bill – SB1360 - at its March
26th hearing. If enacted, SB1360 would permit Christian, Muslim,
Jewish or other sectarian prayers at public school assemblies, sports
events, dances and other school-related activities.
In a letter to the Florida Senate
Education Pre-K-12 Committee, ADL advised that, In our religiously
diverse state, such a policy is patently unfair, divisive, and
unconstitutional, and it would cost local school districts and taxpayers
needless litigation expenses. The First Amendment and federal Equal
Access Act provide public high school students with the right to
privately pray alone or in groups during non-curricular time and to form
non-curricular religious clubs. The clear effect of this policy would
be to impose the majority's religious beliefs, which depending on the
individual school could be Protestant, Catholic, Jewish or Muslim, upon
all students at school-sponsored high school activities.
Practically speaking, most school-related
activities are "noncompulsory" in name only. Students such as sports
team members make commitments that require their attendance at games.
And other students feel intense peer pressure to attend school-related
activities. Regardless of peer pressure, students should not have to
choose between attending a school-related activity and being subjected
to unwanted religious activity … .
In these difficult times, we urge the
Committee on Education Pre-K-12 to focus on matters that unite
Floridians and that do not risk unnecessary expenditure of taxpayer
funds. We therefore urge you to vote against SB1360.
In its most recent school prayer case –
Santa Fe Independent School v. Doe - the U.S. Supreme Court found that a
school policy virtually identical to the policy provided for in SB1360
unconstitutionally endorsed and coerced religion.
David Barkey, ADL Southern Area Counsel, is in Tallahassee today and is available for interviews. (ADL: ADL Warns School Prayer Bill in Florida is Unconstitutional)
The constitutional mandate of separation
of church and state, as interpreted in a long line of U.S. Supreme
Court decisions, prohibits a public school from giving students the
impression that it prefers or sanctions a particular religion, or
religion generally. Our public schools must be hospitable to students
from a variety of backgrounds, regardless of their faith. A Christmas
concert dominated by religious carols, Christian music in the school
office, and a creationism video in science class with a theological
message are not reflective of religious neutrality, but instead appear
to be school endorsement of the Christian religion.
Celebrations of holidays and expressions of religious
belief enrich the personal and spiritual lives of many Americans. But
those practices belong in a house of worship, in private religious
schools, in the home, and in the heart - not in the public schools. Our
public schools should inculcate students with understanding and respect
for diversity, as well as a spirit of tolerance, acceptance and
inclusion.
A sturdy wall separating church and state is essential to
preserving and promoting freedom of religion in our increasingly
pluralistic nation.
Consequently, promotion of religious views, such as that
which took place in this Colorado public school, is inconsistent with
the guarantees of religious liberty in the First Amendment (ADL Not Out to Censor Christmas)
San Francisco, CA, May 15, 2008 … The Anti-Defamation
League (ADL) welcomed today's California Supreme Court decision
supporting the right of same-sex couples to marry. The court held that
under California law, the right to marry is a fundamental right,
integral to an individual's autonomy, and that banning same-sex couples
from marrying violates the California Constitution.
ADL issued the following statement:
We are pleased by the court's decision
supporting the right of same-sex couples to marry, and welcome this
reaffirmation of equal protection for all.
We are also gratified that the Court
agreed with our assertion that the law raised privacy issues, exposing
gay individuals "to detrimental treatment by those who continue to
harbor prejudices that have been rejected by California society at
large."
With this decision, California has taken a
significant step forward in the pursuit of individual liberty and
freedom from discrimination for all.
ADL has regional offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Barbara, San Diego and San Francisco. ADL joined a coalition brief, authored by the law firm Proskauer Rose LLP. (ADL Welcomes California Supreme Court Decision In Support Of Same Sex Marriage.)
"I have long admired the work of the
Anti-Defamation League from afar, and now to receive your welcome and
your assurances of our hope for future cooperation, which I
enthusiastically share, means very much to me"?
Timothy "I aim to be a happy 'bishop'" Dolan
admires the "work of the Anti-Defamation League from afar." Indeed, he
admires the "work of the Anti-Defamation League" from such a "distance"
that he cannot see or refuses to admit publicly that the Anti-Defamation
League is a tool of the devil to promote one objective evil after
another under cover of the civil law and throughout the course popular
culture and that it is imperative to pray, fast and to make many
sacrifices to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and
Immaculate Heart of Mary to pray for their conversion just as the Mother
of God herself effected the conversion of the Catholic-hating Jew named

Appendix B
Pope Saint Pius X Contra Timothy Dolan
POPE: We are unable to
favor this movement [of Zionism]. We cannot prevent the Jews from going
to Jerusalem—but we could never sanction it. The ground of Jerusalem, if
it were not always sacred, has been sanctified by the life of Jesus
Christ. As the head of the Church I cannot answer you otherwise. The Jews have not recognized our Lord, therefore we cannot recognize the Jewish people.
HERZL: [The conflict
between Rome and Jerusalem, represented by the one and the other of us,
was once again under way. At the outset I tried to be conciliatory. I
said my little piece. . . . It didn’t greatly impress him. Jerusalem was
not to be placed in Jewish hands.] And its present status, Holy Father?
POPE: I know, it is disagreeable to see the Turks in possession of our
Holy Places. We simply have to put up with it. But to sanction the
Jewish wish to occupy these sites, that we cannot do.
HERZL: [I said that we based our movement solely on the sufferings
of the Jews, and wished to put aside all religious issues].
POPE: Yes, but we, but I as the head of the Catholic Church, cannot do this. One of two things will likely happen. Either the Jews will retain their ancient faith and continue to await
the Messiah whom we believe has already appeared—in which case they are
denying the divinity of Jesus and we cannot assist them. Or else they
will go there with no religion whatever, and then we can have nothing at
all to do with them. The Jewish faith was the foundation of our own,
but it has been superceded by the teachings of Christ, and we cannot
admit that it still enjoys any validity. The Jews who should have been
the first to acknowledge Jesus Christ have not done so to this day.
HERZL: [It was on the tip of my tongue to remark, “It happens in every
family: no one believes in his own relative.” But, instead, I said:]
Terror and persecution were not precisely the best means for converting
the Jews. [His reply had an element of grandeur in its simplicity:]
POPE: Our Lord came without power. He came in peace. He persecuted no
one. He was abandoned even by his apostles. It was only later that he
attained stature. It took three centuries for the Church to evolve. The
Jews therefore had plenty of time in which to accept his divinity
without duress or pressure. But they chose not to do so, and they have
not done it yet.
HERZL: But, Holy
Father, the Jews are in a terrible plight. I do not know if Your
Holiness is aware of the full extent of their tragedy. We need a land
for these harried people.
POPE: Must it be Jerusalem?
HERZL: We are not asking for Jerusalem, but for Palestine—for only the secular land.
POPE: We cannot be in favor of it.
[Editor Lowenthal interjects here] Here unrelenting replacement
theology is plainly upheld as the norm of the Roman Catholic Church.
Further, this confession, along with the whole tone of the Pope in his
meeting with Herzl, indicates the perpetuation of a doctrinal emphasis
that has resulted in centuries of degrading behavior toward the Jews.
However, this response has the “grandeur” of total avoidance of that
which Herzl had intimated, namely that the abusive reputation of Roman
Catholicism toward the Jews was unlikely to foster conversion. Further,
if, “It took three centuries for the Church to evolve,” it was that very
same period of time that it took for the Church to consolidate and
launch its thrust of anti-Semitism through the following centuries.
HERZL: Does Your Holiness know the situation of the Jews?
POPE: Yes, from my days in Mantua, where there are Jews. I have always
been in friendly relations with Jews. Only the other evening two Jews
were here to see me. There are other bonds than those of religion:
social intercourse, for example, and philanthropy. Such bonds we do not
refuse to maintain with the Jews. Indeed we also pray for them, that
their spirit see the light. This very day the Church is celebrating the
feast of an unbeliever who became converted in a miraculous manner—on
the road to Damascus. And so if you come to Palestine and settle your people there, we will be ready with churches and priests to baptize all of you. (Marvin Lowenthal, The Diaries of Theodore Herzl.)
Appendix C
Saint John Chrysostom Contra Conciliarism in General and Ratzinger/Benedict and his Stooges in Particular
Let that be your judgment about the
synagogue, too. For they brought the books of Moses and the prophets
along with them into the synagogue, not to honor them but to outrage
them with dishonor. When they say that Moses and the prophets knew not
Christ and said nothing about his coming, what greater outrage could
they do to those holy men than to accuse them of failing to recognize
their Master, than to say that those saintly prophets are partners of
their impiety? And so it is that we must hate both them and
their synagogue all the more because of their offensive treatment of
those holy men." (Saint John Chrysostom, Fourth Century, A.D., Saint John Chrysostom: Eight Homilies Against the Jews.)
Many, I know, respect the Jews and think
that their present way of life is a venerable one. This is why I hasten
to uproot and tear out this deadly opinion. I said that the synagogue is
no better than a theater and I bring forward a prophet as my witness.
Surely the Jews are not more deserving of belief than their prophets.
"You had a harlot's brow; you became shameless before all". Where a
harlot has set herself up, that place is a brothel. But the synagogue is
not only a brothel and a theater; it also is a den of robbers and a
lodging for wild beasts. Jeremiah said: "Your house has become
for me the den of a hyena". He does not simply say "of wild beast", but
"of a filthy wild beast", and again: "I have abandoned my house, I have
cast off my inheritance". But when God forsakes a people, what
hope of salvation is left? When God forsakes a place, that place becomes
the dwelling of demons.
(2) But at any rate the Jews say that they,
too, adore God. God forbid that I say that. No Jew adores God! Who says
so? The Son of God says so. For he said: "If you were to know my
Father, you would also know me. But you neither know me nor do you know
my Father". Could I produce a witness more trustworthy than the Son of
God?
(3) If, then, the Jews fail to know the Father, if
they crucified the Son, if they thrust off the help of the Spirit, who
should not make bold to declare plainly that the synagogue is a dwelling
of demons? God is not worshipped there. Heaven forbid! From now
on it remains a place of idolatry. But still some people pay it honor
as a holy place. (Saint John Chrysostom: Eight Homilies Against the Jews)
