Covering A Multitude of Sins

by Thomas A. Droleskey

"It is as though we had returned to the age of Protagoras and the Sophists, the age when the art of persuasion--whose modern equivalent is advertising slogans, publicity, propaganda meetings, the press, the cinema, and radio--took the place of thought and controlled the fate of cities and accomplished coups d'etat. So the ninth book of Plato's Republic looks like a description of contemporary events." (Simone Weil, quoted in Russell Kirk, The Roots of American Order.)

Philosopher Simone Weil (1909-1943) was confused about many things, and died, tragically, without being baptized after she rejected her attraction to Catholicism. She was, however, able see by the light of natural reason in the 1930s the simple fact that "advertising slogans, publicity, propaganda meetings, the press, the cinema, and radio--took the place of thought and controlled the fate of cities."

Sloganeering, which can be defined as an attempt to stop all rational thought on an issue by the utterance of a word or a phrase that is supposed command the immediate assent of all to whom the slogan is addressed, was revived during the Renaissance as various philosophes (pseudo-philosophers) attempted to drive a wedge between the true Faith and popular culture. Sloganeering picked up greater strength during the Protestant Revolt ("salvation by faith alone, "sola Scriptura," "no intermediary needed between God and man," etc.), becoming a true art form by the time of the American and French Revolutions.

Citizens of the United States of America who believe that slogans are only the stuff of the French and Bolshevik Revolutions and Nazism ought to consider the fact that the very term "patriotism" was perverted by those supporting the American Revolution into a test of whether those living in the thirteen original states were "loyal" to the cause of independence from the British Crown. Slogans have been used throughout the course of American history to attempt to silence unwanted political dissent in this land of supposed "civil" liberty. The slogan of "Americanism" was used very openly after the entry of the United States of America into World War I on April 6, 1917, so as to signify that anyone opposed to then President Thomas Woodrow Wilson's well-calculated decision to use the then-called "Great War" or "World War" as a means of "making the world safe for democracy" was not a true "patriot."

Slogan after slogan is used today throughout a popular culture corrupted by the after-effects of the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry, replete with a civil state founded upon false, naturalistic, religiously indifferentist, anti-Incarnational and semi-Pelagian principles. "Choice," "diversity," "tolerance." and "diversity" are just some of the buzzwords that are used by various naturalists of the false opposite of the "left" to silence those who are not so "enlightened" as to accept the "infallible" pronouncements of the secular magisterium. These slogans are used in public and conciliar schools. They are used in American courtrooms. They are used in political discourse. And they are used by various naturalists of the false opposite of "right," mostly without their even knowing it.

The phrase "pro-life," ladies and gentlemen, has become nothing other than a slogan. Mrs. Judie Brown, the founder and President of American Life League, noted some years ago now that the phrase "pro-life" had been "dumbed down" to make it appear that anyone who says that he is "pro-life" is in fact "pro-life." Sure, this is all relevant once again because of the hysteria over the not-so-pro-life Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who is a victim of Modernity and Modernism even though she is most unaware of this fact. Much more important than the hysteria and irrationality of this particular moment, however, is the fact that the mindless use of the phrase "pro-life" has made it appear to most people that any uncompromising stand in defense of basic principles is somehow an exercise in "emotionalism" and "unrealism" rather than an effort to burn not one grain of incense to the false gods of Modernity and Modernism.

To wit, the following list of what it means to be "pro-life" has appeared in print many times in various Catholic publications across the ecclesiastical divide throughout the course of my career as a writer. Those who publish these journals can check their archives to see that this list was published in their pages--sometimes with their own high praise and full support--on more than one occasion. Does the candidacy of one Democrat Party bogeyman and the selection of a charismatic pro-contraception "feminist" who describes herself as "pro-life" despite her support for contraception and for the slicing and dicing of preborn babies in their mothers' wombs in cases where it is alleged that a mother's life is endangered now render these principles untrue or, perhaps, "inexpedient" even to mention at this "critical" juncture in history?

1) We need to plant the seeds for the Catholicization of the United States of America.

2) We must think and speak and act as Catholics at all times.

3) No one who supports one abortion under cover of law is pro-life.

4) It is unjust and misleading to call a politician who supports even one abortion under cover of law as being "pro-life."

5) No one who supports contraception and/or funding for same is pro-life or can be called "pro-life."

6) No one who supports classroom instruction in matters pertaining to the Sixth and Ninth Commandments (under any of its various guises) and/or funding for same can be called "pro-life."

7) No one who supports "civil unions" while opposing "marriages" of those engaged in perverse acts in violation of the Sixth and Ninth Commandments is pro-family or can be called "pro-family."

The moral principle of proportionality, explained in "When Lesser is Greater," makes it possible to pursue a morally good action even though there might be foreseen but unintended evil consequences flowing from that good action. Those foreseen but unintended evil consequences must not outweigh the good to be accomplished. This is sometimes very difficult to weigh, fraught as it is frequently with a variety of subjective judgments about the nature and extent of foreseen but unintended evils. It is my assessment, which is far from infallible-- but which I believe is fully supportable, that (a) it is not a moral good to vote for any one who supports the evils listed above, and (b) that even if a legitimate case can be made that it might be morally defensible to cast a vote for such a person, the evil consequences flowing from such a vote outweigh any proportionate good to be accomplished. This is a judgment. However, it is one, as I have noted, that is justified.

To wit, Sarah Palin, as I noted in Absolute Insanity three days ago now, supports contraception. This statement was made after doing what the ancients called "homework," not as an allegedly "emotional" response to the comments of many, many others that have been sent my way in the past nine days since Palin's selection by United States Senator John Sidney McCain III to be his vice presidential running mate. It matters not that she is "confused." Running for the vice presidency of the United States of America is not the time to be "educated" about the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law. Sarah Palin is, although baptized a Catholic, catechized by the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic spirit of Modernity, of which Americanism is an important, if not, groundbreaking, expression. She is, therefore, a law unto herself as she attempts to discern what she believes is God's Holy Will on matters of public policy and morality. This is written not to condemn her, only to note that she is, apart from the fact that her place is in her home with her children, unqualified to serve in any public office. No one who is confused about the evils of this day will do anything other than add to the confusion extant in our land.

Consider this news story from The Los Angeles Times:

In a widely quoted 2006 survey she answered during her gubernatorial campaign, Palin said she supported abstinence-until-marriage programs. But weeks later, she proclaimed herself "pro-contraception" and said condoms ought to be discussed in schools alongside abstinence.

"I'm pro-contraception, and I think kids who may not hear about it at home should hear about it in other avenues," she said during a debate in Juneau. . . .

Palin's statements date to her 2006 gubernatorial run. In July of that year, she completed a candidate questionnaire that asked, would she support funding for abstinence-until-marriage programs instead of "explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?"

Palin wrote, "Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support."

But in August of that year, Palin was asked during a KTOO radio debate if "explicit" programs include those that discuss condoms. Palin said no and called discussions of condoms "relatively benign."

"Explicit means explicit," she said. "No, I'm pro-contraception, and I think kids who may not hear about it at home should hear about it in other avenues. So I am not anti-contraception. But, yeah, abstinence is another alternative that should be discussed with kids. I don't have a problem with that. That doesn't scare me, so it's something I would support also." (Palin, McCain at odds on classroom education.)

Leaving aside the fact that the civil state has no business establishing schools and/or mandating a curriculum of study to be imposed upon our children, Governor Palin is clueless about God's Sovereignty over the sanctity and fecundity of marriage, and her publicly stated positions indicate, quite importantly, that she has no idea as to what to teach her children about fundamental matters of moral truth. Even the editors of The Washington Post were influenced by the residual after-effects of Catholicism in the world to editorialize on this matter on March 22, 1931, shortly after the Lambeth Committee of the schismatic and heretical Anglican "Church" voted to permit the use of a certain type of contraceptive by married couples who found themselves in "extraordinary" circumstances:

It is impossible to reconcile the doctrine of the divine institution of marriage with any modernistic plan for the mechanical regulation of human birth. The church must either reject the plain teachings of the Bible or reject schemes for the “scientific” production of human souls. Carried to its logical conclusion, the committee’s report if carried into effect would lead to the death-knell of marriage as a holy institution, by establishing degrading practices which would encourage indiscriminate immorality. The suggestion that the use of legalized contraceptives would be “careful and restrained” is preposterous.

Judging no one's subjective culpability in the eyes of God for one single moment, it is not unreasonable to ask if some of the publicized problems that have come to light in the Palin family since her selection was announced are the result of the bad advice that Mrs. Palin may have given to her children on matters about which she knows nothing herself. One who is confused on these matters in the privacy of her own home, and who repeats this confusion quite publicly in media interviews, is in no position at all to be heralded as being "pro-life." As Colonel Jacob Ruppert, the owner of the incarnation of all evil in the world, the New York Yankees (has the stake been driven through their heart yet this year?) from 1915 to 1939, said to George Herman "Babe" Ruth when the latter wanted to manage the Yankees upon the death of Miller Huggins, who managed the team from 1918 to 1929, "George, how can you manage the Yankees when you can't even manage yourself?"

No one who does not understand these simple statements of Catholic truth can "contribute" anything to the restoration of social order:

The more closely the temporal power of a nation aligns itself with the spiritual, and the more it fosters and promotes the latter, by so much the more it contributes to the conservation of the commonwealth. For it is the aim of the ecclesiastical authority by the use of spiritual means, to form good Christians in accordance with its own particular end and object; and in doing this it helps at the same time to form good citizens, and prepares them to meet their obligations as members of a civil society. This follows of necessity because in the City of God, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, a good citizen and an upright man are absolutely one and the same thing. How grave therefore is the error of those who separate things so closely united, and who think that they can produce good citizens by ways and methods other than those which make for the formation of good Christians. For, let human prudence say what it likes and reason as it pleases, it is impossible to produce true temporal peace and tranquillity by things repugnant or opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity. (Silivo Cardinal Antoniano, quoted by Pope Pius XI in Divini Illius Magistri, December 31, 1929.)

So, too, the liberty of thinking, and of publishing, whatsoever each one likes, without any hindrance, is not in itself an advantage over which society can wisely rejoice. On the contrary, it is the fountain-head and origin of many evils. Liberty is a power perfecting man, and hence should have truth and goodness for its object. But the character of goodness and truth cannot be changed at option. These remain ever one and the same, and are no less unchangeable than nature itself. If the mind assents to false opinions, and the will chooses and follows after what is wrong, neither can attain its native fullness, but both must fall from their native dignity into an abyss of corruption.  Whatever, therefore, is opposed to virtue and truth may not rightly be brought temptingly before the eye of man, much less sanctioned by the favor and protection of the law. A well-spent life is the only way to heaven, whither all are bound, and on this account the State is acting against the laws and dictates of nature whenever it permits the license of opinion and of action to lead minds astray from truth and souls away from the practice of virtue. To exclude the Church, founded by God Himself, from the business of life, from the making of laws, from the education of youth, from domestic society is a grave and fatal error. A State from which religion is banished can never be well regulated; and already perhaps more than is desirable is known of the nature and tendency of the so-called civil philosophy of life and morals. The Church of Christ is the true and sole teacher of virtue and guardian of morals. She it is who preserves in their purity the principles from which duties flow, and, by setting forth most urgent reasons for virtuous life, bids us not only to turn away from wicked deeds, but even to curb all movements of the mind that are opposed to reason, even though they be not carried out in action. (Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, November 1, 1885.)

Is contraception repugnant and opposed to the peace and happiness of eternity? Is contraception opposed to virtue and truth? The devil wins, my friends, no matter who gets elected, and he knows that the "pro-life" slogan will permit him to continue to advance various evils with far less opposition than would be encountered if one of his clearly sworn allies tried to do so directly. We are in the devil's trap of Modernity and Modernism, which plays out in American courtrooms all the time as things never really "settled" until they are "settled" to the satisfaction of the utmost limits of the naturalists of the "left" at any given point in time. Consider the testimony given the former, disgraced Attorney General of the United States of America, Antonio Gonzales, during his confirmation hearings in 2005:

Bush’s Attorney-General-designate, Alberto Gonzales, one of his most trusted aides over the years, said the following in his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee: ‘Thank you, Senator. Of course, the Supreme Court has recognized a right of privacy in our Constitution, and in Roe the court held that that right of privacy includes a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion. A little over a decade ago, the court, in Casey, had an opportunity to revisit that issue. They made a – they declined to overturn Roe, and of course made a new standard that any restriction that constituted an "undue burden" on a woman’s right to choose could not be sustained. My judgment is that the court has had an opportunity – ample opportunities – to look at this issue. It has declined to do so. And as far as I’m concerned, it (Roe versus Wade) is the law of the land and I will enforce it.’ " Source: Thomas Droleskey, Ph.D., The Remnant, 2/15/05, pp. 10, 11, quoted in The Howard Phillips Issues and Strategies Bulletin.

As I have noted repeatedly in the past fifteen years or so, the devil wins in this country no matter which of two organized crime families wins various elections. His agenda of naturalism, which includes increasing the size and scope of the civil state as the legitimate liberties of citizens are restricted, principally by means of the use of its confiscatory taxing policies, gets advanced. Look, George Walker Bush has been able to exercise the sort of powers that William Jefferson Blythe Clinton could only have dreamt of exercising. Bush has been able to violate legitimate civil liberties and to expand the intrusive scope of the Federal government as he has prosecuted a war without a formal Congressional declaration, as required by the Constitution of the United States of America, in no small measure because "pro-life" "conservatives" wanted to rally around "their" President. The slogan of "pro-life" has been used to cover a multitude of sins in matters of public policy and in matters of public law (as reviewed briefly in Absolute Insanity; most of that list, by the way, was published several times in some traditional publications, including a review of Bush's first year contained in The Latin Mass: A Journal of Catholic Culture, in December of 2001, The Illusion of Secular Salvation.)

Oh, sure, some will say that a "Vice President" Palin will do whatever a "President" John McCain announces is the policy of his administration. All well and good, except for the fact that few people follow the intricacies of public policy, most of which comes with significant "catches" (as I have demonstrated time and again with respect to the "pro-life" Bush administration), focusing on the sound bites they hear now and again. Most of these sound bites reaffirm them in their own confusion, delighting the devil no end, especially as people are reaffirmed in the belief that one can be "pro-life" while supporting any form of contraception. Words have meaning, and people are far more influenced by words and policies than by public policies, most which are steeped in immoral concessions that never save a single, solitary human life and wind up convincing people that it is just and licit for the civil law to recognize a "right" to kill innocent human beings, whether by surgical or chemical means, in at least a "few" circumstances. And must we forget that John McCain is himself a support of Federal funding of the destruction of embryonic human beings for "research" purposes? The "pro-life" candidate? Oh, my, what delusion.

Look at the mania being produced by Sarah Heath Palin's nomination:

Clutching signs with messages such as “Girl Power” and “Sarah Is my American Idol,” moms and their daughters lined the barricades just outside The Chocolate Factory in Cedarburg, Wisc., that served as the backdrop for the rally.

The women said they had come to see both members of the new Republican ticket, but couldn’t fake it when asked who they were more excited to lay eyes on.

“Sarah!” a small group of them yelled .

Meghan Groppe, 12, of Cedarburg explained the enthusiasm.

“Because if they get voted in she’ll be the first lady vice president,” Groppe said, flashing a smile missing a few teeth.

More expansive but similarly enthusiastic was Cheryl Hauswirth of nearby Grafton, Wis.

“She's a real woman, she's a real feminist but she's not strident — she's like us,” said Hauswirth, a middle-aged mother who didn’t offer her age. “She’s strong, powerful and opinionated, all the things a women should be, while still retaining her femininity, her womanhood.”

This is having no influence on Catholic girls? Think again. Think real hard. The devil loves nothing more than to undermine efforts of traditionally-minded Catholics to extol the virtues of the consecrated religious life and of the sacrifices made by mothers who do their duties and stay at home with their children when they are not otherwise forced by economic necessity to work to help support their families. Anyone who underestimates this evil is not seeing things very clearly at the moment.

Sure, stipulated, if I can use that phrase, United States Senator Barack Obama, D-Illinois, who was trained by a Communist named Frank Marshall Davis and who cut his eye-teeth politically by serving as a "community organizer" in the late Saul Alinsky's diabolical network of agitation and unrest, much of which has been funded over the years by the now called "Catholic Campaign for Human Development, is also unfit to hold any office, whether elected or appointed. His election would portend terrible things for this country which no true patriot, that is, one who wills the good of his nation (the ultimate expression of which is her Catholicization), would or could participate in in the slightest. Perhaps a review of some of the articles that I wrote during the Democrat Party National Convention might restore some bit of perspective to those who have written to me and accused me of "wanting" Obama to be elected. Lest We Forget, Perseverance and Hope in All of the Wrong Things, Memo to Joseph Biden and Nancy Pelosi and Their Conciliar Enablers, Fact and Fiction, and Fools' Gold were written all in the space of but one week to deal with the nonsense of the Democrat Party National Convention.

If Barack Hussein Obama winds up defeating John McCain in fifty-eight days, my friends, please don't blame these articles, which are read by around 500 people or so, at the very most, for doing so. Obama will win because of the confusion engendered in this country by its naturalistic foundations (public schools and both political parties have convinced the average citizen that the government exists to "help" them in their daily lives, a lesson that millions upon millions of Americans believe to the very core of their naturalistic beings) and because the disaster that has been the presidency of the "pro-life" George Walker Bush will have made his election more possible than it would otherwise have been. Those who point out the undeniably objective harm of the stands taken by John McCain and Sarah Heath Palin are not trying to "elect" Barack Hussein Obama and Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.

The harm represented by Barack Hussein Obama and Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.. does not undo the harm represented by John Sidney McCain III and Sarah Heath Palin. We are in a diabolical trap, out of which there is only the path given us by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: the Triumph of the Immaculate of Mary as a result of the faithful fulfillment of her Fatima Message. While some remain convinced that they must work within the established system for the "best" that they can get, a conviction with which I respect but disagree given the facts I have attempted to bring to bear about how nothing ever gets "better" under our regime of naturalism, it is not to do "nothing" to attempt to help others to see the world clearly through the eyes of the true Faith.

This is what I wrote in an article, "Thirty-Five Years of Indifference," posted on this site on January 22, 2008:

No Catholic can support even a single abortion in a single circumstance whatsoever. No Catholic can lend credence to anyone who believes that it is morally licit under any circumstances whatsoever, including any or all of the so-called "hard case exceptions," to kill an preborn human being in his mother's womb. No Catholic can lend credence to anyone who believes that it is morally licit to prescribe any form of contraception, no less those that do indeed cause the death of an embryonic human being. To lend credence to those who believe that abortion is a matter of "states' rights" or that there is even one exception to the absolute inviolability of innocent human life in the womb or to those who support, if not prescribe, contraceptives of any type is to give voice to the devil himself, who wants nothing more than to convince Catholics that the perverted concept of "civil liberty" that has come into vogue in the past few centuries is higher than the law of God as He has entrusted it to His Catholic Church for its infallible explication and eternal safekeeping.

Alas, even those Catholics who are pro-life, no matter where they fall across the ecclesiastical divide, do not understand or accept these facts. They are willing to accept "crumb" from phony pro-life politicians in the false belief that we will "get somewhere" by means of the political process. We will not. Many of these truly good people, a lot of whom have worked their entire lives to defend the inviolability of preborn human life by volunteering at crisis pregnancy centers and by praying Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary in front of abortuaries and by speaking out against this crime that cries out to Heaven for vengeance, are looking for naturalistic solutions to the abortion genocide precisely because they have never been taught by the scions of the counterfeit church of conciliarism that the proximate cause for social problems in our world today is the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King and that we must try to plant the seeds for the restoration of this Social Kingship, starting with the enthronement of our homes to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. (Thirty-five Years of Indifference; for a history of pragmatism in the pro-life movement, please see Communique - Nov. 11, 2003, "Affirming the Merchants of Death.")

A speaker at a conference on Americanism that I hosted at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Washington, District of Columbia, in November of 1999, said that "False ideas lead to bad consequences, always and inevitably."  Quite so. While it is understandable that Catholics and non-Catholics alike are confused today about right principles as a result of the revolutions of Modernity and Modernism, it makes no sense whatsoever to believe that "things" will be "different" "this time around" because a woman, who should be at home with her children, who says that she is "pro-life" but who is truly clueless about First and Last Things appears to give us some "hope" on the natural level.

Moreover, it is more difficult for Catholics themselves to understand First and Last Things when the "pro-life" conciliar "pontiffs" reject the Social Reign of Christ the King and write and speak about the American regime of pluralism and separation of Church and State as the model for the rest of the world. It is also more difficult to defend the inviolability of innocent preborn human life when reverence for God Himself is aborted every day in the offering of the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, and when the First Commandment is violated directly by the "pro-life" conciliar "pontiffs" as they have esteemed the symbols of false religions, each of which is hated by God, and have extolled the "civil right" of their adherents to propagate their false beliefs publicly and that these false beliefs can "contribute" to the "betterment" within nations and "peace" among nations. Just utter the word "tradition," however, and all criticism of these offenses committed against God by men who have claimed to be His Vicar on earth, is supposed to cease as reflexively as silence is supposed to occur when the phrase "pro-life" is attached to a politician who knows nothing First and Last Things and demonstrates his or he ignorance rather openly and rather consistently.

Our task must be to defend the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, reigns that will not be aided and abetted by the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic farce that is the American electoral system. While there are a variety of ways in which the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen may be defended and promoted, we must remember that we are facing the problems we have at present as a result of the overthrow of those reigns wrought by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry.

Pope Saint Pius X noted this in but one sentence in the much-quoted (at least on this site) paragraph three of Vehementer Nos, February 11, 1906:

Remove the agreement between Church and State, and the result will be that from these common matters will spring the seeds of disputes which will become acute on both sides; it will become more difficult to see where the truth lies, and great confusion is certain to arise.

As noted just above, there are many ways to promote the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen, starting, of course, with our own personal consecrations to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart and with the enthronement of our homes to these twin, matchless Hearts of Love that beat as One. Each of us must do his work in the way that we discern, perhaps erringly at time, is God's Holy Will for us. God uses each of our strengths despite our weaknesses and forgiven sins to help us to cooperate more fully with the graces that He won for us by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces, so that others may come to see the world more clearly through the eyes of the true Faith, the Catholic Faith, the one and only foundation of personal and social order, and without which individual souls are lost and nations are steeped in absolute chaos.

One of the ways that we can help to make reparation for our own sins and those of the whole world is to promote devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus. It was to this Holy Face that the Little Flower, Saint Therese of Lisieux (Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face), was so devoted. This is what Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said to Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre, a Carmelite Sister in Tours, France, in 1843:

"By offering My Face to My Eternal Father nothing will be refused, and the conversion of many sinners will be obtained."

"It is required that all undertake to widely spread and make known this devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus."

Our Lord taught Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre the following "Golden Arrow" prayer to recite:

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on Earth, and under the Earth by all the creatures of God and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen

Take a look at the promises that Our Lord made to Sister Marie de Saint-Pierre concerning those who promote devotion to His Holy Face in reparation for sins of blasphemy, many of which are committed by the conciliar "pontiffs" and by "pro-life" and pro-death politicians who invoke God's Holy Name in an Masonic, generic sense in their public utterances:

"By My Holy Face you shall work miracles."

"By My Holy Face you will obtain the conversion of many sinners."

"Nothing that you ask in making this offering will be refused to you."

"If you knew how pleasing the sight of My Face is to My Father."

"As in a kingdom you can procure all you wish for with coin marked with the King's effigy, so in the Kingdom of Heaven you will obtain all you desire with the Precious coin of My Holy Face."

"Our Lord has promised me that He will imprint His divine likeness on the souls of those who honour his most holy Countenance."

"All those who honour My Holy Face in a spirit of reparation, will be so doing perform the office of the pious Veronica."

"According to the care you take in making reparation to My Face disfigured by blasphemies, so will I take care of yours which has been disfigured by sin.  I will reprint therein My image and render it as beautiful as it was on leaving the Baptismal font."

"Our Lord has promised me, that all those who defend His cause in this work of reparation, by words, by prayers, or in writing.  He will defend them before His Father; at their death He will purify their souls by effacing all the blots of sin and will restore to them their primitive beauty."

Yes, even those who write in the promotion of the Faith might make a contribution in behalf of the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen as they attempt to make reparation for their own sins and those of the whole world to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Devotions to those such as the Holy Face of Jesus will help to truly cover a multitude of sins!

The words written here on this site are written by a sinner, a terrible sinner. Despite my sins, however, I do love God as He has revealed Himself to us exclusively through His true Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. I can only plead to His Most Blessed Mother, whose Nativity we celebrate tomorrow, Monday, September 8, 2008, to pray for me now, and at the hour of my death. It is my hope, however, that this effort to remind readers of the fact that we are lost without the true Faith, without which there can be no true personal or social order, will help blot out a few of my own sins and that this work will help others in the future more than now, when the difficulties of the moment seem to suggest expedient "solutions" that are really no solutions at all.

In the meantime, of course, we must pray for each other no matter the disagreements, many of which are most significant, that may occur, entrusting both friend and regrettable foe to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And we pray for our country, of course, remembering to pray as many Rosaries each day as our freely chosen states-in-life permit, asking Our Lady for the privilege of being counted at least a little bit worthy of planting a a few seeds for the restoration of Christendom, a time when all hearts, consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, will exclaim:

Viva Cristo Rey! Vivat Christus Rex!

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!

Saint Joseph, Patron of Departing Souls, pray for us.

Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

Saint John the Baptist, pray for us.

Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us.

Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Gabriel the Archangel, pray for us.

Saint Raphael the Archangel, pray for us.

Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.

Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, pray for us.

Isn't time to pray a Rosary now?

The Novena to Maria Bambina

(begins August 30, 2008, and runs through today, September 7, 2008)

Mari Bambina--Infant Queen of the universe, intercede for all of us who have recourse to thee!  Do not forget us, thy faithful but lowly subjects who await thy response to our constant prayers !  We long to kneel before thy crib and watch thee sleep, dear little Queen! Choose to look upon us with thy loving childlike gaze and through that gaze send graces to us so that we may rejoice with thee and praise that beautiful day that God chose from all of eternity to begin the Redemption through thy most glorious Immaculate Conception!  Amen.
