Secularity Is Always Negative
As promised late last evening, here is another new article, although one that deals with familiar themes of Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's betrayal of the Social Reign of Christ the King in favor of the oxymoronic "healthy" or "positive" secularity of the modern civil state, which is founded in one false, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational principle after another. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There should be a new article posted by tomorrow morning. I will have more prayer updates at that time. For the moment, however, I have been asked to pass on a request for prayers for an infant named Isaiah May, who is to be executed today as so-called physicians remove his ventilator. There will be more on this breaking story by tomorrow morning. And we wonder why there are so many natural cataclysms when we live in the midst of such moral cataclysms?
Finally, I have just seen an very incisive set of comments about Most Holy Trinity Seminary that have been given by Father Markus Ramolla in an interview with the editors of the SGG Info website, which also contains a thoughtful letter by Mrs. Gloria Madaffari.
Late January 13 Update
Although I had hoped to have another new article ready for publication by tomorrow morning, the toll of a long three days on the road demands that that article wait until tomorrow afternoon or Friday morning. In the meantime, however, please do read another excellent article by Mr. Timothy Duff,
An Anonymous Letter, on the SGG Info website.
News reached me just a short while ago this evening that Mrs. Ada Federspiel, the matriarch of a prominent family of traditional Catholics in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area, died today. Mrs. Federspiel, who was over ninety years of age, had, if my memory serves me correctly, fifteen children. She and her late husband made many sacrifices in the late-1960s and early-1970s to find priests in the underground who were offering the Immemorial Mass of Tradition. One of Mrs. Federspiel's beautiful and moving poems recounted the story of how her family drove over 300 miles one Christmas to go to a true offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
We had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Federspiel on a number of occasions between 2006 and 2008. She was a valiant defender of the Catholic Faith, a dignified Catholic lady who used every moment that God gave her to try to bring souls into the true Church, including trying convince an elderly priest at the assisted living facility where she lived that the Novus Ordo was invalid and offensive to God. Mrs. Federspiel was a longtime and very devout parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood, Ohio. We offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to her family, assuring them of our prayers for them and for the repose of their mother and grandmother's and great-grandmother's immortal soul. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Also, please remember in your prayers the immortal soul of another parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Mr. Ray Ventura, who has died. Mr. Ventura, I am informed, was a member of Saint Matthew's Church in Norwood, Ohio, which was, much to the chagrin of the now-retired conciliar "archbishop" of Cincinnati, Daniel Pilarczyk, sold to the Society of Saint Pius V, whereupon it become Immaculate Conception Church. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
We have our own special intention to ask you to remember: Sharon's mother, Mrs. Claire Collins, who will turn eighty-two years of age next month, was badly injured in an automobile accident in the Catskills in upstate New York yesterday, Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Mrs. Collins's right leg was broken in half and separated, as I understand it, almost entirely from the knee. Please pray for her full recovery (and, more importantly, for her return to the Faith).
Finally, we need to pray for the dead and the injured in the catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti yesterday. This is not the time for a commentary on the evils that many Haitians practice that arouse demons galore. There will be time in the future for such a commentary. For the moment, however, we need to pray to Our Lady for the souls of the dead and for the well-being of the survivors and those who are making efforts to assist them.
This disaster is, of course, a reminder to each of us that death is very near. We must be prepared at all times for death, especially by making our Act of Contrition in the morning upon arising and at night before going to sleep, making it a practice to recite this prayer whenever we sense some kind of mortal danger (reckless drivers on the roadway, the threat of an impending heart attack or strokes, at the report of an oncoming storm carrying life-threatening conditions). We do not know when the Master is going to come for us. He comes very frequently as a thief in the night. We must be prepared at all times.
Check back tomorrow afternoon for the next article.

No Honor Among Naturalists And Other Thieves
Time is at a premium right now. This article is yet another reminder that those who do not seek to pursue the common temporal good in light of man's Last End and in accord with the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law as these have been entrusted to the infallible authority of the Catholic Church will give us nothing other than--guess what--naturalism! Golly gee willickers, Mister Peabody, who would have ever thought of that? Oh, where was I? Yes, yes, I remember. Not only will naturalists give us nothing other than naturalism, they will wind up attacking each other as they plot how to acquire more power and prestige. The way out of this? The Holy Rosary and Our Lady's Fatima Message. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
The next article on this site will not appear until Thursday, January 14, 2010, at the earliest. The vast multitudes in cyberspace may have to wait until Friday, January 15, 2010. Keep checking. And I must once again beg the indulgence of correspondents as I am unable to respond to e-mails until late this week. Thank you.

With Perfection Staring Directly At Them
With the perfection of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition as it stood through the century in all of its pristine beauty and glory before Fathers Annibale Bugnini and Ferdinando Antontelli got their hands on the liturgy in the 1950s staring at them right in the face, today's conciliar revolutionaries still cannot admit that there is no need to "reform" a "liturgical renewal" that was in and of itself a revolution against the Catholic Faith, that the Novus Ordo worship service that is so offensive to God must be abandoned once and for all.
No, today's conciliar revolutionaries, including Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI and his master of ceremonies, "Monsignor" Guido Marini, insist that there has been "continuity" between Catholic Tradition and the Novus Ordo, a "continuity" that can be "recovered" by means of a "reform of the reform." There's only one slight, small, teeny-weeny problem with this positivistic assertion: the men who planned and implemented the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo worship service meant full well to make a break with Catholic Tradition. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There should be a new article tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at which point there might be a gap of two days or so until the next original article appears. Also, be advised that it may be impossible for me to respond to e-mails in the next few days. I ask for your patience. Thank you.

Revised: From Nazareth We Come, In Nazareth We Must Live
Today, the Sunday within the Octave of the Epiphany, is the Feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ chose to become Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, and place Himself, the Co-Equal and Co-Eternal Son of God the Father, under subjection to mere creatures His Most Blessed Mother, the fairest flower of our race, and to Good Saint Joseph, his foster-father. The subjection of the God-Man to the authority of His Most Blessed Mother and his foster-father, whom He had chosen from all eternity to provide Him with the earthly love and care and stewardship of a father seeking only to please God with his every thought, word an deed, teaches us that we, who came from families and who, in many instances, are raising families of our own, must be subject to all legitimate authority, duly constituted, in all things that do not pertain to sinful commands.
Children are supposed to learn this subjection in the household from their tenderest days, seeing in their fathers the image of Saint Joseph and in their mothers the image of Our Lady. Children are supposed to realize that God in the very Flesh obeyed His creatures in the Holy Family of Nazareth. So must they.
Parents must, for their part, foster an atmosphere within the family of selflessness, charity, forgiveness and joy, centering the family's life on daily assistance at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (if at all possible), regular time spent in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, the daily recitation of Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary, supplications to Our Lady's Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph, home enthronement to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Total Consecration to Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the same Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scriptural reading and family reading time, especially about the lives of the saints, and a refusal to participate in the rot of popular culture. This requires sacrifice and the willingness to be misunderstood, calumniated and rejected even by one's own family members as we protect our children from those cultural currents that come from the devil and are designed to lead each of us to Hell for all eternity.
To eschew worldliness one must be ready to embrace the Holy Poverty of the Holy Family of Nazareth, detaching oneself from the material acquisitiveness of our consumer society, shaped by Judeo-Calvinist materialism, and to live in light of First Things and Last Things as we week to acquire the only thing that matters: Sanctifying Grace in this life and eternal life in the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost in Heaven.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you, save souls!
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, pray for us now and in death's agony.
Knowing His Enemy Very Well
Our adversary, the devil, knows that his enemy is the Cross of Divine Redeemer, which is why he seeks to attack It at every turn. He has used various social revolutionaries to do this in recent centuries. He has used the conciliar revolutionaries to do this as well. Indeed, one of the supreme ironies of the attack on the Crucifix in a Catholic cemetery in Hanoi, the capital city of Communist Vietnam, is that many conciliar revolutionaries have removed crucifixes voluntarily from their own parishes and schools and colleges and universities. The errors of Russia keep spreading as some traditional venues maintain that there is no need to have prayers after Low Mass. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
There is another excellent editorial, "Defining Decency Down," on the SGG Info website that I recommend most heartily for your review.
A blessed Feast of the Holy Family of Nazareth to you all.

Just A Matter of Forgiveness?
Taking the same tack that some have with respect to recent scandals that have, most unfortunately, demanded a bit of attention on this site in the past two months, conciliar revolutionaries plead for "forgiveness" for their own problem children, such as the former conciliar "archbishop" of Milwaukee, Rembert G. Weakland, O.S.B., as these destroyers of souls are permitted to retain their "good standing" in the conciliar structures. Indeed, Rembert Weakland, whose endless warfare against the Catholic Faith was chronicled in
Weak In Mind, Weakest Yet In Faith, is being permitted to speak from the pulpit of the wreckovated Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this coming Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Just a matter of forgiveness? Decide for yourselves. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There will be another new article published on this site tomorrow, the Feast of the Holy Family, in addition to a republished article about the feast itself.

Refusing Any Semblance of Mercy (or Justice)
Still defending his decision to invite the pro-abort, Marxist-trained Barack Hussein Obama to deliver the commencement address on May 17, 2009, at the University of Notre Dame du Lac in Notre Dame, Indiana, "Father" John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., is refusing to show any mercy--no less justice!--to the "Notre Dame 88" who were arrested for carrying signs against baby-killing and/or praying the Rosary or carrying images of Our Lady as the nation's leading supporter of surgical and chemical baby-killing spoke to the adoring multitudes on the campus where I arrived to commence my graduate studies on January 11, 1973, and where I received my Master's degree on January 10, 1974. Our Lady does NOT honor honor pro-aborts, and "Father" Jenkins had better realize that the Mother of God, she who made possible the Incarnation of the Second Person of the Most Blessed Trinity in her Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost when she gave her Fiat to the will of God the Father at the Annunciation, will not honor those who honor pro-aborts, no less subject defenders of truth to persecution and injustice. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Signs of Apostasy Abound
The counterfeit church of conciliarism's accommodations to the prevailing, naturalistic, anti-Incarnational, religiously indifferentist and semi-Pelagian principles of Modernity have produced a bifurcation wherein it is not at all uncommon to find "conservative" conciliarists battling "liberal" conciliarists on matters of Faith and Morals. This is the case in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, California, as "conservative" watchdog groups expose the relationship between the so-called "Catholic Campaign for Human Development" and the funding of groups that support and/or provide for the killing of innocent preborn babies by chemical or surgical means.
Could you imagine Pope Saint Pius X remaining silent about such outrages? Ah, of course, he would have recognized apostasy. The head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, is diffident in the face of the funding of the killing of the preborn. Then again, he offends God by esteeming the symbols of false religions with his own priestly hands. It's pretty easy to be nonchalant about one of your "archbishops" permitting the funding of pro-abortion group when you offend God mortally by giving public respect and esteem to false religions in full violation of the First and Second Commandments. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Please do check the informative material on the SGG Info website. Excellent and to-the-point editorials are published on the home page frequently. Manifesting Christ the King At All Times
Our Lord was made manifest on Christmas Day to the handful of Jewish people, including the shepherds in the field who were sent to adore Him by the angels who had announced the following:
And there were in the same country shepherds watching, and keeping the night watches over their flock. And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the brightness of God shone round about them; and they feared with a great fear. And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, that shall be to all the people:
For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God, and saying: Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will. And it came to pass, after the angels departed from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another: Let us go over to Bethlehem, and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath shewed to us.
And they came with haste; and they found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. And seeing, they understood of the word that had been spoken to them concerning this child. And all that heard, wondered; and at those things that were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God, for all the things they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. (Luke 2: 6-20.)
Today's feast, the Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord, known colloquially in Ireland as "Little Christmas" and in many other places as Three Kings' Day, celebrates Our Lord's manifestation to the whole world through the Gentiles. Indeed, the Offertory for today's Mass explains that all kings shall adore Christ King and that all nations shall serve Him:
The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts: and all kings of the earth shall adore Him: all nations shall serve Him.
The United States of America is no exception to this. We must pray for the day when the leaders of this country, founded on the falsehoods of Protestantism and Judeo-Masonry that are so hateful to Our King, will adore Him as their King and the day when this nation will serve Him as it acknowledges His Social Kingship over it by submitting in all that pertains to the good of souls to the authority of the Catholic Church that He Himself founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope. We are suffering at the hands of statists today because the men of Modernity who believed that they had no obligation to offer public worship to Christ the King through His true Church set us on a course that can result only in the triumph of the civil state over the King of Kings Who was made manifest to Saints Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar on this day. We must make Him manifest in our own lives at at all times, never fearing to suffer in behalf of the truths of the Holy Faith or to suffer in the cause of justice when souls are placed into jeopardy needlessly even by some of our own true shepherds.
A blessed Feast of the Epiphany of Our Lord to you all! Another original article will appear tomorrow, January 7, 2010.
Finally, there is a new
Letter to the Editors of the SGG INFO site from Mrs. Janet Gaye that is well worth reading.

Almost Always At Odds With Themselves
Conciliarists are at odds with each other over many things, including what constitutes a "proper" interpretation of the texts of the "Second" Vatican Council and the "magisterium" of the conciliar "pontiffs." This time, however, "Bishop" Ratko Peric of Mostar-Duvno in Bosnia-Herzegovina has taken over Vienna's Christoph "Cardinal" Schonborn's "private" visit to Medjugorje over Christmas that constituted a de facto "official" endorsement of the false apparitions. "Bishop" Peric used logic and facts to eviscerate Schonborn's words and actions. Perhaps Schonborn will respond to "Bishop" Peric's use of logic and truth by claiming that the local conciliar "bishop" in Mostar-Duvno is full of "hatred" and/or that he is "possessed." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

January 4 Update
Although it was my hope to have a new article posted by today, a phenomenon called fatigue got in the way. One will appear later this evening or early tomorrow morning.
There is a brief editorial, "All the Subtle Demonisms," on the SGG Info website that I urge readers of this site to read. The editorial is excellent.
Also, several readers from England have written to inform me that the Reverend Mr. Bernard G. J. Hall was mistaken in his belief that there are no Masses in England that are not offered "una cum Benedicto." One reader informed me of Masses that are offered by Father Thomas Le Gal once a month in his, the reader's home in Bradford, Yorkshire, England. Another reader has written to remind me of something that I had forgotten: two priests associated with the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen, Fathers Eugene Rissling and Johannes Heyne, offer Mass once a month in the Downham Market section of London in the church that was served for many years by the late Father Oswald Baker. I thank the readers for bringing this to my attention.
Yet another reader has sent me two excerpts from Dom Prosper Gueranger's The Liturgical Year pertinent to today's feast, the Octave Day of the Holy Innocents:
From Pudentius, the Poet of the Mysteries and the Martyrs, from whom the Church has taken her beautiful stanzas for the Feast of the Holy Innocents, Salvete, Flores Martyrum, celebrates the immolation of these lovely Babes of Bethlehem. . . . It is to this Hymn that the Roman Liturgy has had recourse for several great Feasts, and we now extract from it the strophes which refer to our dear Innocents.
The anxious Tyrant hears that the King of kings is come, who is to rule over the Jews, and all on the throne of David.
Maddened by jealous fear he calls a messenger, and says to him: ‘Our rival is at hand – we are in danger: go, slave, arm thee with thy sword, and bathe every cradle with blood.
‘Let every male-child be slain, and every nurse be watched, and every Babe feel thy sharp-edged blade, even whilst he sucks his mother’s breast.
‘Not a Mother about Bethlehem but I suspect her; then watch them all, lest they hide their boys from thee.’
On this the executioner goes and in his wicked cruelty plunges his naked dagger into the tender flesh and the but freshly formed hearts of these little ones.
But where shall he strike? Where find space enough to hold a gaping wound in these4 infant-bodies not so big as the dagger in his hand?
Yet still these butchers murder every child. Here it is an infant dashed against a rock, covering its flinty sides, oh, cruel sight! with blood and brains and eyes.
There it is a lovely babe torn from his mother’s arms and thrown into a deep stream, whose gurgling waters weep whilst drowning sobs and life so sweet as these.
Hail, ye Flowers of the Martyrs! The enemy of Christ cut you down in the very threshold of life, as rose-buds are snapped by a storm.
First Victims for Jesus! Tender flock of his Martyrs! Ye, with sweet simplicity, play with palms and your crowns even at the very altar of your sacrifice!
And what does Herod gain by this dark crime? Does it give him what he sought? The single One he cared to kill is Jesus, and he still lives!
The stream of infant-blood has ceased to flow, and he alone is safe: the Virgin’s Child has escaped that sword which robbed all other Mothers of their babes.
So was it in that time of old, when Moses, the liberator of his people, and the type of Christ, escaped the senseless edicts of the wicked Pharaoh. [Taken from The Liturgical Year, Christmas Book 1, Vol. 2,
By Abbot Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B.; Loreto Pubs, 2000,
Fitzwilliam, NH; Octave of Holy Innocents, pp. 444-446.]
Prayer to the Holy Innocents in The Liturgical Year:
Sweet Flowers of the Martyrs! your Feast is over in our Church on earth, but your patronage will never leave us. During this new year of the holy Liturgy which God has given us, you will watch over us and pray for us to the Lamb, who loves you so tenderly. We entrust to you the fruits of grace which our souls have gathered from the Christmas Feasts. We have become little children together with our Lord; we have begun a new life with him; pray for us, that we may grow with him in wisdom and age before God and man.1 Secure us perseverance by your prayers; and to this end, keep up in our hearts that Christian simplicity which is the special virtue of Children of Christ. You are innocent; we are sinners; still, we are brethren; love us, then with brotherly love. You were garnered into heaven at the very dawn of the Law of Grace; our lives have fallen on the close of time, and the world has grown cold in charity; be near and help us; cheer and encourage us in our combat, by showing us your lovely palms of victory; pray to our Lord, that we may speedily obtain by repentance the heavenly crown which his infinite mercy allowed you to win, without the fatigues and risks of a battle.
Infant Martyrs! forget not the young generation, which has just entered on the scene of life. You were taken to eternal glory at the age of infancy; these little ones are like you in their innocence, love them, watch over them, pray for them. The grace of their Baptism is upon them in all it freshness, and their pure souls reflect as a mirror the holiness of the God that dwells in them by grace. Alas! these Babes are to go through great trials; many of them will forfeit the grace of God, and their Baptismal garment will lose its unspotted purity. The world will seek to corrupt their heart and mind, and the frightful influence of bad example is almost always successful. Christian mothers will have to weep over the ruin of their children’s souls, and what consolation is there for such a grief as theirs? There is a Christian Rama and a Christian Rachel ever wailing in the Church: do you, sweet Innocents of Bethlehem, comfort these mothers, by praying for their little ones. Pray that our times may grow less evil, and that parents may have less need to fear than they now have that the first step taken by their children in the world will be death to their souls. Amen. [Taken from The Liturgical Year, Christmas Book 1, Vol. 2,
By Abbot Prosper Gueranger, O.S.B.; Loreto Pubs, 2000,
Fitzwilliam, NH; Octave of Holy Innocents, p. 447-8.]
Holy Innocents, pray for us.
Finally, I ask for your prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Frank Sullivan, who died in Rhode Island on the Feast of the Circumcision at the age of ninety-two. Father Gabriel Lavery, CMRI, offered Mr. Sullivan's Requiem Mass earlier today. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Telling Omissions
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has issued his annual "world day of peace" message. The text, which has been available for the past two weeks now even though it is dated January 1, 2010, contains a few passages that make proper Catholic distinctions between what constitutes pantheism and what constitutes man's legitimate dominion over the created world. There are, in addition to the usual endorsement of international agencies and of the principle of subsidiarity (as was the case in Caritas in Veritate), some very telling omissions, including no references whatsoever to Our Lady, her Most Holy Rosary or her Fatima Message. Our Lord has given us the path to peace--and it does not run through environmentalism. It runs through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
A blessed Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus to you all!
A new article should be posted on this site at some point tomorrow, January 4, 2010.

On A Mission of Their Very Own
It is evidently the case that a group of rampaging elephants in India have not gotten the message from Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI that "peace" consists of the "coexistence" of different religions. On a mission of their very own, a group of rampaging elephants last year attacked the homes of those who had been responsible for persecuting and killing Catholics in 2008. "O ye, beasts and cattle, bless the Lord." Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Stalinists Always Claim to Want Peace
Father Anthony Cekada has written recently that none of the problems that he has sought for so long to minimize were worth going to "war" over, analogizing the warfare that has ensued in the last eight weeks as a result of his own diffidence in the face of serious complaints that were brought to him time and again by parents and other parishioners to a dispute within the Cistercians in the Seventeenth Century over the eating of meat. If there is nothing to go to "war" over, one is then forced to ask why Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada have suborned their friend Joseph Charles McKenzie's now disabled website and why the pulpit of Saint Gertrude the Great Church has been used as a forum of self-serving pity parties and the public castigation of Father Markus Ramolla, who sought only to protect the innocence and the purity of the young. One is also forced to ask why Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada are suborning efforts to deport their former friend and employee, the Reverend Mr. Bernard G. J. Hall, from the country where he has lived since 1982. Would Federal immigration authorities have been "tipped off" "anonymously" if Mr. Hall was still working at Saint Gertrude the Great School while he kept he mouth shut about the abuses that he had observed with his own eyes there?
Alas, the Reverend Mr. Bernard G. J. Hall, is being punished for establishing the SGG Info and St. Albert the Great websites. He explains his plight in a series of answers to questions that I posed to him on Monday, December 28, 2009, six days after he was fingerprinted and photographed by Federal authorities after visa problems that Father Cekada had been promising the Reverend Mr. Hall for years to fix became a pretext to start deportation proceedings against him. Mr. Hall's story is compelling. It contains a narrative that, so very sadly, is now familiar to those who have been following the tragedy created by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada and their rank abuse of clerical authority. Stalinists always claim to want "peace" as they seek to silence and punish anyone who dares to criticize them.
The Reverend Mr. Hall's plight has also been assessed by Mr. Timothy A. Duff in his excellent article, The Betrayal of the Reverend Mr. Bernard Hall.
Although it had been my hope that further articles on the situation at Saint Gertrude the Great Church and School would not be necessary, I knew on the morning of Wednesday, December 23, 2009, when reading an e-mail from the Reverend Mr. Hall on my cellular phone that yet another article would have to be written. As readers will discover when reading Mr. Duff's article, the cruelty that has been visited upon Bernard G. J. Hall is truly unfathomable, coming just days before Christmas. Please join me in praying a Rosary for the Reverend Mr. Bernard G. J. Hall and his intentions at this time.
Republished: To Fulfill All Righteousness, To Proclaim the Name of All Names
We start the New Year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the year 2010, with the Feast of His Circumcision, the first time that He shed His Most Precious Blood as His Holy Name, Jesus, was proclaimed publicly for the first time. One drop of His Most Precious Blood would have been enough to redeem us. It was His Co-Equal Father's Will for Him to undergo His fearful Passion and Death so as to show forth the depths of His love for us and the horror of our own sins.
Our Lady was present with her Most Chaste Spouse, Good Saint Joseph, when the Precious Blood of her Divine Son was shed for the first time on this day over two millennia now. She was present as He shed His Most Precious Blood during His Passion and Death. She, our spotless Blessed Mother, wants us to be ready to shed our blood in behalf of the Holy Faith and in defense of the Holy Name of Jesus, the only Name given to men by which they are to be saved. We will rely upon Our Lady's help to have the courage to be more zealous in defense of the Holy Faith that has been given to us as such a high cost?
Republished: Another New Year to Serve Our Lord through the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Well, here is the first new article of the new year. It is but a brief reflection on the gratitude that we must have to God for all that He has given us throughout our lives, including the now concluded year of 2009, and to beg Him to be grateful to Him for everything that He gives us--both the consolations and the crosses--as we offer unto Him in perfect equanimity all of our sorrows and joys through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
A blessed New Year and Feast of the Circumcision of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to you all!

Republished: A Pope Who Was Not Puddy Tat
Pope Saint Sylvester I did not abide heresy. He did not enable it in the slightest. He confronted it as he sought the conversion of all non-Catholics to the true Faith. His firm defense of the Holy Faith as Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Vicar on earth must inspire us in our day to seek his intercession for the needs of the Church Militant on earth as she suffers in the catacombs as pretenders to the papal throne make their open accommodations to propositions that have been anathematized time and time again in the past by true popes and/or dogmatic councils. The Church arose from the catacombs during the pontificate of Pope Saint Sylvester I. May his intercession for us now help to bring about a like arising from the catacombs in our own day as the falsehoods of the counterfeit church of conciliarism are wiped away once and for all.

It would be wise to end this year by spending time before Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's Real Presence in prayer as we pray our Rosaries in thanksgiving for the favors and graces received this year, in reparation for our sins and those of others this year, in petition for our spiritual and temporal needs and, of course, in adoration of the good God Who preserves our existence and Who wants us to show forth our love for Him by our fidelity to His teaching and our sorrow for our sins as members of His true Church.
A Holy New Year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 2010 to you all!

Hawaii Sleep-O
Barack Hussein Obama emerged from three days of sunning and relaxation on the beaches of Oahu to make a statement about the incident aboard Northwest Flight 253 on Christmas Day that could have been made by his predecessor, former President George Walker Bush. Thus it must ever go in a country where naturalists of the "left" and of the "right" are paralyzed by the prevailing currents of political correctness while they enable domestic terrorism against the innocent preborn under cover of the civil law. Our Lad of the Rosary, pray for us.
There should be another original article at some point tomorrow, December 30, 2009.
Revised: A Martyr for the Church's Liberties
There was a time when there were real, honest-to-goodness Catholic Archbishops of Canterbury. Let's see here, that would be from the time of Saint Augustine of Canterbury in 597 A.D. to the time of Reginald Cardinal Pole in 1558, a period of nearly a millennium. The fortieth legitimate Archbishop of Canterbury is the saint whose feast we celebrate today, Saint Thomas a Becket, who was indeed a martyr for the Church's liberties.
Saint Thomas a Becket asserted the rights of Christ the King as the Archbishop of Canterbury, insisting that clerics accused of civil crimes be tried in ecclesiastical, not civil, courts. This led him to clash with his onetime friend, King Henry II of the House of Plantagenet. Prefiguring another English king named Henry (this one, number The Eighth, from the House of Tudor), Henry II could not abide his former friend's resistance to his, Henry's attempt to assert royal power over the Church, leading him to uttering the words that would inspire three of his barons to murder the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas a Becket, on this date in 1170, eight hundred thirty-eight years ago now. The latter Henry, the one called "The Eighth," had Saint Thomas a Beckets relics destroyed as his martyrdom was a reminder to one and all that the Church has Divine Rights superior to those of the civil state.
King Henry II had to do public penance for uttering the words that resulted in the martyrdom of Saint Thomas a Becket. His son, King John I, having been slow to learn the lessons of his public penance, was forced by his barons and noblemen in the year 1215 to sign the Magna Carta to guarantee the rights of the Church under civil law in England. This was a victory for the liberties of the Catholic Church that had been won by the blood of this great champion of the Social Reign of Christ the King, Saint Thomas a Becket, whose intercession we seek this day and every day for the restoration of the Social Reign of Christ the King in all nations, including the United States of America.
Indeed, the situation we face in the United States of America today is the direct result of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry. Nations founded in the belief that men can pursue the common temporal good without subordinating themselves to the Deposit of Faith that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ entrusted exclusively to His Catholic Church for Its eternal safekeeping and infallible explication--and who believe that they can be "good" and "virtuous" on their own powers without belief in, access to or cooperation with Sanctifying Grace--are bound to degenerate over the course of time. Statism is the only end result of the process of decay that must occur when nations reject the simple truth that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. And it is the statists of the present moment, starting with Barack Hussein Obama, who sacrifice the legitimate national sovereignty and national security of their own nations in order to demonstrate their "solidarity" with "bettering" the world on a "global" basis.
Oh, here's my travel tip for you for today: don't take any advice on personal safety offered to you by Janet Napolitano. Just a little tip.
A continued blessed Christmas and a blessed feast of Saint Thomas a Becket to you all!

Revised: Wholly Innocent
Today, the Fourth Day within the Octave of Christmas, is the Feast the Holy Innocents, the children who were put to death at the orders of the jealous titular King of Judea who had been installed by the Roman occupiers to pacify resistance to their unjust occupation of the Holy Land. King Herod the Great, whose sons Herod and Philip were no less corrupt and violent than he was, wanted to kill the Baby King Whom he thought to be a threat to his own political suzerainty, such as it was as a puppet ruler under the Roman occupiers. It meant nothing to him to wipe out so many innocent children in his quest to kill the Baby King, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Who was born in Bethlehem to save, his, Herod the Great's, own immortal soul by the shedding of every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross.
There have been imitators of Herod the Great throughout history who have sought to put to death the followers of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in an insane effort to wipe the Faith off of the face of this earth. The names of these imitators are legion. Their likes are to be found in our own midst today as politicians of both major organized crime families of naturalism in the United States of America, the Democrat Party and the Republican Party, believe that a just social order can be established and maintained while innocent preborn human beings are slaughtered under cover of law and while the Sovereignty of Christ the King is denied in favor of the sovereignty of men and their false, naturalistic, semi-Pelagian and anti-Incarnational ideas.
That having been noted, however, it is important to point out that the Holy Innocents are honored as saints because they died in the place of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as a political potentate drunk with his own self-importance sought to kill the Newborn Baby King with a furious rage. The slaughter of the innocent preborn today, as horrible as it is and as deserving of our attention by means of legitimate Catholic Action undertaken under the direction of our true bishops and true priests, especially by means of praying Our Lady's Most Holy Rosary and by means of sidewalk counseling, is different in that the children being killed today are not being targeted specifically in the place of Our Lord. Unlike the speculative conclusions offered by the "International Theological Commission" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism in 2007, the Catholic Church has never held out "hope" that the souls of unbaptized infants go to Heaven, which is why the crime of the killing of the preborn is so monstrous as it kills the souls of those involved in the execution and denies the slaughtered babies the glory of the Beatific Vision. The Holy Innocents are saints because they were targeted quite specifically because of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and thus shed their blood on His account.
We need to invoke the intercession of the Holy Innocents today and every day to stop the shedding of the blood of the innocent under cover of law, praying to them especially that Catholics blinded by the allure of various naturalistic "strategies" to end the social evils of the day will be reminded of this truth stated by Pope Saint Pius X in Notre Charge Apostolique, August 15, 1910:
For there is no true civilization without a moral civilization, and no true moral civilization without the true religion: it is a proven truth, a historical fact.
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ must reign as King of men and nations, my friends. Accept no naturalistic substitutes from the "Herods" of this world and their enablers in the counterfeit church of conciliarism who reject the Social Reign of the Newborn King, Our Divine Redeemer Whom Herod the Great sought to kill.
L'Osservatore Di Tutte Le Cose Grezze
It's been quite a year for the observer of all crude things (otherwise known as L'Osservatore Romano). The year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of 2009 is ending with Gian Maria Vian's publication praising The Simpsons. Although, as is indicated in the body of this article, the first ten paragraphs are lifted entirely from
L'Osservatore Benedetto, the rest of the article is entirely original in text, although the themes have been sounded again and again on this site over the years.
There should be another original article on this site tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Thomas a Becket.
Finally, there are new updates on the SGG Info website, including a commentary on the home page and a very fine summary of why parishioners have left Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, and Saint Clare's Church in Columbus, Ohio, that was written by former Saint Clare's parishioner
Sue Bastaja. Mrs. Bastaja's letter is an excellent rejoinder to those who are continuing to misrepresent the facts and to project "hatred" into the minds of hearts of those who have had quite enough with clericalism and the character assassinations that have taken place in the past seven weeks.

Revised: Love Unalloyed for Love Incarnate
Saint John the Evangelist, a son of Zebedee, was the youngest of the twelve Apostles. He was a virgin, a man who offered to His Divine Master, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, pure love in a heart that was not sullied by the world, the flesh and the devil. This youngest Apostle with the purest heart was permitted to lean on Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's chest, wherein beat His Most Sacred Heart, at the Last Supper. And it was this purity of heart possessed by Saint John the Evangelist that led him to be present at the foot of the Holy Cross and to be given the singular privilege by Our Divine Redeemer of caring for His own Most Blessed Mother until the time of her death and bodily Assumption into Heaven
Despite what Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI contended blasphemously in his Jesus of Nazareth book concerning the "disputed" nature of the human authorship of the Fourth Gospel, Saint John the Evangelist is indeed the human author of the Fourth Gospel and of his epistles and the Book of the Apocalypse. Saint John is the Evangelist of the Incarnation of the Word whose Gospel provides us with Scriptural proofs for the doctrine of the Eucharist and for the Sacrament of Penance. And the Charity preached by Saint John the Evangelist was not exercise in empty sentimentality. For it was Saint John himself who wrote:
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And every one that loveth him who begot, loveth him also who is born of him. In this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the charity of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not heavy. (1 John 5: 1-3)
Saint John the Evangelist, pray for us to remain faithful to the Catholic Faith.
Although I had hoped to have an original article published today, I am holding off the resumption of new articles until tomorrow in order to concentrate on the first three days of the Christmas Octave.
A continued blessed Christmas to you all.

The Stoning of Saint Stephen
Revised: To Forgive and To Pray
The shadow of the Holy Cross hung over the cave in Bethlehem even as the shepherds who had been called by angels from the nearby fields adored the Infant King alongside the Mother of God and her Most Chaste Spouse, Saint Joseph. Holy Mother Church directs our attention to this fact today as we focus on the truth that the Birth of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Bethlehem on Christmas Day was to make possible our own spiritual rebirth in the Baptismal font and our birth unto eternal life at the moment of our deaths if we persist to the very end in states of Sanctifying Grace. The path to our salvation runs directly through the Holy Cross and it requires us to be willing to sacrifice riches and honors and pleasures and human respect and even our very lives to bear witness to Christ the King a He has revealed Himself to men exclusively through the Catholic Church that He founded upon the Rock of Peter, the Pope.
Saint Stephen the Protomartyr was willing to lay down his life as he preached the Gospel of the Divine Redeemer in an attempt to convert the Jews who were listening to him and engaging him in disputation. He exhibited the Virtue of Fortitude as he proclaimed the Gospel in the midst of insults an threats. And Saint Stephen the Protomartyr exhibited the Virtue of Charity as he prayed for his executioners, one of whom was the fire-breathing anti-Catholic zealot named Saul of Tarsus. Saint Stephen's prayers at the time of his martyrdom and from eternity thereafter won the conversion of Saul, who became the Apostle to the Gentiles, Saint Paul the Apostle.
Saint Stephen wanted to effect the conversion of his executioners. He did not seek to reaffirm them in their act of murder or to reaffirm them in the practice of Judaism. Saint Stephen did not dismiss or denigrate the gravity of their crimes. He simply did not hold those crimes against his persecutors as he prayed for their conversion.
We must pray always for those who hate us, for those who calumniate us, for those who have done us some injury in the past, for those who have rejected us for one reason or another. Praying for and forgiving those from whom we are estranged is not an option for a Catholic. It is an obligation of the interior life imposed directly by the God-Man Himself in the Sermon on the Mount. If He forgives us so readily in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance, why are we so slow to forgive others who owe us but an infinitesimally small portion of what we owe Him for our own forgiven sins? As the late Father John Hardon, S.J., noted in a conference in Sterling Heights, Michigan, at which I gave two presentations, "God permits us to sin so that we can forgive each other. Let me repeat myself here: God permit us to sin so that we can forgive each other." A sinner who is contrite and thankful to God never withholds forgiveness from his fellow sinner. Saint Stephen teaches us that lesson today. Are we going to learn it once and for all?
Father Markus Ramolla has recorded a Christmas Message that can be accessed on the St. Albert the Great website in its audio format (as per the first hyperlink in this sentence) and by means of a written text. Please continue to pray for Father Ramolla and for all of those who are helping him.
A continued Blessed Christmas to you all and a blessed Feast Day of Saint Stephen the Protomartyr, especially to all those named after the Church's first martyr. There should be an original article tomorrow (in addition to a republished article about Saint John the Evangelist on his feast day).
Christmas Day Reflections

Rejoice! Venite Adoremus! Our Saviour has been born for us of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Midnight in piercing cold. Venite Adoremus!
Surrounded by the host of Heavenly angels, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity Who was made Man in His Most Blessed Mother's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, God the Holy Ghost, at the Annunciation nine months before is born for us this night. The long awaited Messiah comes as a helpless Infant, born in anonymity, poverty and humility. Bright radiant beams shine forth from His Holy Face, a Face that would be marred beyond all recognition by our sins as He walked on the Via Dolorosa on Good Friday to redeem us on the wood of the Holy Cross and thus make possible for us eternal life in Heaven in the glory of the Beatific Vision of God the Father, Himself, the God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Those bright beams that shone forth from the Newborn Baby Jesus this morning are meant to shine forth from our own souls as we grow in the graces that He won for us on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flow into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces. There is no Holy Mass, where Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is born under the appearances of bread and wine every time a true bishop or a true priest utters the terrible words of Consecration, without this holy night. Just as Our Lord obeyed His Heavenly Father to become Man, so does He obey mere men when they, whose immortal souls have been conformed to His Priesthood and Victimhood, utter the words of Consecration over the mere elements of this earth, making Him Incarnate to feed our bodies and souls unto eternal life.
There is no regeneration of souls in the Baptismal font or in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance without this holy night.
There is no hope for mankind without this holy night.
There is, as the first Pope, Saint Peter, teaches us, no "salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4: 12.) Only Christ the King is God. None other. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. None other.
We gather around Our Lady, out of whose Virginal and Immaculate Womb the Newborn Babe passed as light through crystal this morning, and her Most Chaste Spouse, Good Saint Joseph, to adore Our Saviour, the very Lamb of God Who takest away the sins of the world, including yours and, most especially, mine!
May the Joyful Mysteries we continue to pray during this Octave of Christmas help us to be ever thankful for the great, incomparable gift that Our Lady gave to us this night as she brought forth her Divine Son so that He, Who stretched out His holy arms in the Crib this night, could stretch out this holy arms on the wood of the Cross to embrace all men to lift them up to the Heavenly Father in Spirit and in Truth.
On behalf of my wife Sharon and our daughter Lucy, I wish each of you a most Blessed and Joyous Christmas. This greeting is extended to all who access this site. No matter the difficulties of the present moment as false ecclesiastical officials deny the Sacred Rights of the Social Reign of Christ the King and esteem the symbols of false religions that are hideous and loathsome in His sight, the peace of Christ the King that He has entrusted to the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother is something that a believing Catholic must will for everyone, praying fervently for all whom God's Holy Providence has placed in his path over the years, including those, of course, from whom various events have estranged us.
May each of us, united to the Merciful Heart of the Divine Redeemer that was formed out of us and is united yet to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, help us to pray for each other as we pray for the day with all Catholics will speak with one voce (una voce) and will think with but one mind, that of the Catholic Church, she who teaches the unchanging truths of the Immutable Triune God.
The following articles are reflections that have been written over the years. Born to Give Birth to Us All is a variation of a "homily" I wrote for a conciliar "bishop" twenty years ago and has gone through various redactions in The Wanderer, the printed pages of Christ or Chaos and on this website. The Christ and His Mass was written three years ago and undergone a few revisions since then. Venite Adoremus was written in 2007. Each of the reflections repeat similar themes. None, however, captures the inexpressible joy of his holy night and season. That can be done only in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
A blessed Christmas to you all!
Venite Adoremus!

Revised: Make Haste, The Lord Is Nigh
Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is nigh today. He comes to us in Midnight in piercing cold in Bethlehem. Have we prepared to "make haste," that is, to flee from the world and its false attractions and promises and "saviours" to welcome Him in our hearts and souls by means of Holy Communion? Have we asked His Most Blessed Mother, Who brought Him forth miraculously in the cave when there was no room for Him in the inn, to help us to make room for Him in the "inns" of our hearts and souls. Have we asked the Patron of the Universal Church and the Protector of the Faithful, Good Saint Joseph, to protect and to guide us as we seek out His Divine foster-Son as He is born for us on Altars of Sacrifice in the Catholic catacombs? Are we prepared to make this day, Christmas Eve, the Vigil of Christmas, one final day of penance as we abstain from the eating of meat? Are we prepared to celebrate this Christmas with joy and with thanksgiving as the Word Who was made Flesh in Our Lady's Virginal and Immaculate Womb by the power of God the Holy Ghost beckons us to adore Him in His Real Presence day in and day out?
Make haste, the Lord is night. Midnight is coming. Are we ready? Make haste. Prepare well. Our Saviour is to be born for us!
Two original articles, the 234th and 235th published on this site in 2009, are being posted today, although I don't expect too many people to read them until sometime next week. Both articles, Spokesman for Apostasy and Ever Pandering to the Enemies of the Faith deal with the babblings of Father Federico Lombardi, S.J., the spokesflack for Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Conciliarism never takes a rest from assaulting the sensus Catholicus, not even as we approach Christmas Day itself in but a few hours! Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
Republished articles will be posted on this site in the next several days. There might be another one or two original articles published before the end of this year of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, 2009.

Public Scandal Is Never A Private Matter (2009)
A preface has been written to this article, published first in May of 2008, to write something of a political epitaph for what appears to be the burial of the political career of the former Catholic pro-abortion, pro-perversity Mayor of the City of New York, Rudolph William Giuliani, who sold out the Faith for twenty-five thousand shekels from the Liberal Party of the State of New York in 1989 and hasn't looked back since. There is really nothing new to write about the scandal represented by Giuliani's support for evil and his embrace of it in his own life. It is interesting, as always, to note the way in which "bishops" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism have enabled him repeatedly. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There will be two articles published tomorrow. One will be a republished Christmas Eve reflection. The other will be an original article. Although there might be one or two original articles between now and the end of this year, including one on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's "World Day of Peace" message, most of the articles highlighted on this site in the next eight days or so will be republished articles dealing with Christmas and the feast days that occur during the Octave of Christmas.

Republished: Mother Cabrini, Don't Be A Meanie
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini longed as a child to be a missionary to China. It was Pope Leo XIII, concerned about Italian emigres to the United States of America being coopted by the Americanist culture of religious indifferentism and pluralism and materialism, who sent her packing to these shores. Mother Cabrini, the foundress of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart, worked throughout the Americas to preserve the Catholicism of Italians and others who had migrated to the New World at the end of the Nineteenth Century and into the beginning of the Twentieth Century. She labored hard for souls, earning her the trust and admiration of Pope Leo XIII and his successor, Pope Saint Pius X.
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini longed from her childhood to save souls, starting with her own, and her zeal to bring souls to a love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was intense. She mortified her fear of spiders and other insects as she traveled extensively throughout the Americas, sometimes doing battle with the most nefarious of characters and, on one occasion in Nicaragua, battling gun-toting parents who were upset with her for enforcing authentically Catholic standards of modesty, very much in line with Our Lady's Fatima dress code, that made no concessions to any kind of worldly spirit whatsoever. Mother Cabrini contracted malaria, which would wind up killing her years later, in her travels. Even malaria, however, did not stop Mother Cabrini from founding sixty-seven institutions of mercy (hospitals, orphanages, schools). We must have the same zeal for souls as Mother Cabrini, the first and only American citizen to be canonized (leaving aside, of course, those "canonized" by the counterfeit church of conciliarism) as we recall the old Italian prayer, "Mother Cabrini, don't be a meanie, answer my prayer!" Mother Cabrini, help us to go to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary! (This article is accompanied by Mother Cabrini's Shrine: A Pictorial Essay that is composed of photographs my wife Sharon took at the Mother Cabrini Shrine in the Fort Washington section of the Borough of Manhattan in the City of New York, New York, on Saturday, December 22, 2007.) Mother Cabrini, pray for us!
L'Osservatore Benedetto
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has offered his Christmas greetings to the staff of L'Osservatore Romano, a newspaper that has had a busy thirteen months praising one nefarious figure after another. Perhaps Ratzinger/Benedict then retired to watch the blasphemous "Nativity Story" motion picture on television. Maybe he got caught up on Oscar Wilde's poetry. Or maybe he read a few chapters from Das Kapital. There's even the possibility that he and his fellow German Robert Zollitsch had a few good chuckles over the latter's Holy Saturday apostasy. Nothing is too outrageous for the false "pontiff," unless of course you happen to offend the ancient enemies of the Catholic Faith. That's when Ratzinger/Benedict finds a sense of outrage.
I will try to have new articles on each of the next two days prior to Christmas, at which point I will republish Christmas Day and Octave reflections for the rest of year, concentrating on the next travelogue, which will be published after the first of the new year.

Republished: Dominus Meus et Deus Meus
Today is the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle. Saint Thomas did not believe that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ had risen from the dead on Easter Sunday. Our Lord told the doubting Apostle to press his finger into His nail marks and to press his hand into His wounded side. Saint Thomas believed. Along with the other Apostles, including the one who replaced Judas Iscariot, Saint Matthias, Saint Thomas became a bold proclaimer of the Catholic Faith, going to India, where he sacrificed his life for the Holy Faith.
Saint Thomas the Apostle touched the flesh of the Risen Saviour with his own hands. He then went on to touch the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of that same Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with his own priestly hands as he uttered the words at Holy Mass that made the Messias incarnate under the appearances of bread and wine. The very words Saint Thomas uttered after he had touched Our Lord on Low Sunday, Dominus meus et Deus meus, are what we pray every time a true priest utters these words at Holy Mass: "Hoc Est Enim Corpus Meam." As we prepare the celebration of Christmas Day four days from now, we should ask Saint Thomas to help us reverence Our Lord in His Real Presence with greater fervor as we grow stronger in the Faith with every passing day, consecrated as we are to Our Lord through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Saint Thomas the Apostle, pray for us.
For Thirty Pieces of Pork
Another article on ObamaCare, focusing on the not so "pro-life" United States Senator Ben Nelson's selling out of even his morally flawed Nelson-Hatch Amendment for a figurative thirty pieces of pork for the State of Nebraska. Nelson's efforts to "save" ObamaCare are reprehensible as ObamaCare is nothing other than a means to place medical decisions in the hands of government overseers once and for all. The whole bill is immoral and unjust. Alas, behold the fruits of a world that has rejected the Social Reign of Christ the King and is thus steeped in one evil after another that the spiritually barren counterfeit church of conciliarism is, having made its "reconciliation" with the false principles of Modernity, unable to stop. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There should be another original article tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, in addition to a republished article on the first American citizen to be canonized.

Making Sacrilege Palatable
Paradox and contradiction are part and parcel of the Modernist mindset. It makes perfect sense, therefore, for Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI to ratify on the same day the decisions made by the members of the conciliar Congregation for the Causes of the Saints concerning the heroic virtues of the last true pope thus far, Pope Pius XII, and the long serving false "pontiff" who was consecrated a bishop just days before the death of Pope Pius XII, Karol Jozef Wojtyla/John Paul II. Ratzinger/Benedict is not yet scheduling a "beatification" ceremony for either man. The conciliar congregation for the causes of the saints must attest to at least one miracle before any ceremony can be held. It is not at all clear that there would be a joint "beatification" of Pope Pius XII and John Paul II as occurred on September 3, 2000, the traditional feast day of Pope Saint Pius X, when John Paul II "beatified" Pope Pius IX and Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII jointly. What we do know, however, is that, even absent Wojtyla/John Paul II"s multiple defections from the Catholic Faith, the Catholic Church would not have considered the "cause" of a man who did not fulfill the duties of his office well, a man who appointed "bishops" who indemnified wrongdoers time and time again as they stonewalled and browbeat the victims of these wrong doers (gee, where have I heard that lately?). Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There will be a republished article tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle. The next original article may have until Tuesday, the Feast of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini. I did not expect to have an article today. The news of Ratzinger/Benedict's "ratification" of the declarations of "heroic virtues" of Pope Pacelli and non-pope Wojtyla by the conciliar congregation for the causes of the saints prompted this article to get written, incorporating some material from earlier articles on this same sad subject.

Enabled and Protected By Her Own "Archbishop"
The pro-abortion, pro-perversity Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi, one of the wealthiest members of the Congress of the United States of America, has recently given "thanks" to God for the fact that an allegedly "pro-life" amendment to the ObamaCare has failed in the United States Senate even though it had passed in her own United States House of Representatives on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Yes, a woman who supports the direct, intentional taking of innocent babies in their mothers' wombs by surgical and chemical means under cover of the civil law is bold enough to "thank" God for the defeat of what she thinks is a "pro-life" measure, knowing full well that she maintain her "good standing" as a "Catholic" in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Such is the state of apostasy that is upon us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
You may have to wait until Monday, December 21, 2009, the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle, for the next original article on this site.
Mrs. Randy Engel wrote to me a few days ago to ask for prayers for the soul of Father Enrique Rueda, who was the very first priest to write of the influence of the lavender brigade, shall we say, in the world and in what I know now to be the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Father Rueda was a great fighter in defense of the Catholic Faith. He was hated by the conciliar authorities. Please join me in praying for the repose of his immortal soul.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Just In Time For Christmas
The hour is very late, actually very early on December 18, 2009. This article deals with more of the concrete results of "inter-religious dialogue" that the ancient enemies of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His true Church are manifesting in Jerusalem these days as the false "pontiff" continues to extol the "ability" of false religions to create "peace" in the world by "coexisting" with each other. Pure apostasy. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. (Readers will find two appendices in this article. The first is a new letter written to me by Father Martin Stepanich, O.F.M., S.T.D., that is, to put the matter mildly, a little slightly different in tone than the comments in the second appendix that were sent to me recently by Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P., and posted on this home page on the evening of December 16, 2009. I report. You decide. What a glorious cross this is for all involved as we pray for and forgive each other! All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!)
It is time tomorrow to give Nancy Pelosi some attention. And I am working on a commentary on Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's 2010 "World Day of Peace" message.

United in Apostasy
Although there are some who have criticized the Society of Saint Pius V for a preoccupation with the validity (or alleged lack thereof) of the episcopal lineage of the late Archbishop Pierre Martin Ngo Dinh Thuc who have now developed preoccupations of their own that seem to fill all of their waking moments, there are actual, honest-to-goodness apostates in the world in need of our attention. Remember that man over there in Rome, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, the fellow who has in recent months
found his inner Teilhard de Chardin? Remember him? How about "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch, the man who retains Ratzinger/Benedict's favor even though he denied, on Holy Saturday of all days, that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died in atonement for our sins on the wood of the Holy Cross on Good Friday?
And, to paraphrase the late, great Mel Allen (yes, even Mets' fan can appreciate the greatness of the man who broadcast Yankee games from 1939 to 1964, reprising his association with the incarnation of all evil with the advent of cable broadcasting of games from 1976 to 1985), "how ah-bout that" "Archbishop" of Bhopal, India, Leo Cornelio, who has said that his "church" has no desire to seek converts from Protestant sects in the Indian state of Madyha Pradesh? I don't know about others. However, I am going to focus on actual enemies of the Faith who preach apostasy and practice it with the full support of the false "pontiff," Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. What a novel concept.
There should be a new article tomorrow, Ember Friday in Advent, December 18, 2009.
December 16 Late Evening Update
It has been brought to my attention that a letter written to me by Father Martin Stepanich. O.F.M., S.T.D., about the situation at Saint Gertrude the Great Church has been circulated rather widely, including on the newly revived blog of Father Anthony Cekada, who was not pleased last year with Father Martin's criticism of his, Father Cekada's, "The Grain of Incense" article on the issue of assisting at Masses offered una cum Benedicto.
It is interesting to see Father Cekada quote Father Martin at this point given the fact that Bishop Dolan was so incensed at Father Martin's support for Mrs. Kathleen Plumb and The Four Marks in September of 2008 that the bishop read Father Martin's letter to him, called it "extremely disedifying" and then threw it in the waste paper basket, which he called "the round file." Bishop Dolan has yet to heed Father Martin's request of him to apologize publicly to Mrs. Plumb.
I have made my own response to Father Martin on the controversy engendered by Bishop Dolan's firing of Father Ramolla and the lies and misrepresentations that have been spread thereafter, including the work of character assassination that was undertaken by Bishop Dolan's and Father Cekada's good friend, Joseph Charles McKenzie, on the "laypopes" site. My response to Father Martin will remain private as I associate entirely with the response to him made by the editors of the SGG Info website in
A Question of Perspective.
I do, however, hope that Father Cekada's citing of Father Martin's letter to me will prompt him to review the letter that Father Martin wrote in 2008 to disagree with the erroneous stand that Father Cekada and Bishop Donald Sanborn took in support of the withdrawal of food and water from the Mrs. Theresa Marie Schindler-Schiavo. In sharp contrast to the conclusions reached by Bishop Sanborn and Father Cekada, Father Martin wrote the following about the murder of Terri Schiavo:
But whatever may have been the real or pretended reason why Michael Schiavo had Terri's feeding tube removed, it was all done in a very ugly way that it is sickening just to think about it. And it cannot be repeated too often that the merciless termination of Terri cannot possibly be justified before God. If Terri had bene already close to death at the time her feeding tube was removed, the only decent and humane thing to do would have been to continue providing her with what food or drink and medication she could still handle, and as long as it did her any good, and at that the same time to do the best to lessen her suffering until she peacefully expired. But to finish her off with a cruel starvation and dehydration? Never! (Father Martin Stepanich on Terri Schiavo.)
Friends of moral truth do indeed hope that Father Cekada will take to heart the rebuke that he was given by Father Martin and declare publicly that he was wrong to support the murder of Terri Schiavo by the removing of her food and water.
Insofar as the current matter is concerned, I rather doubt that Father Martin Stepanich is aware of the fact that the "Laypopes" site, with which I do not believe he is entirely conversant, was run by a good friend of Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada, neither of whom have said a word in protest of the character assassinations that characterized that site or of the fact that the initial posting of "Ballad of an Armchair Pope" read as follows:
Thomas Drolesky and Markus Ramolla - For breaking from the Holy Roman Church and setting themselves up as their own authority. (A Bull of Excommunication from An Anonymous Excommunicator.)
I am sure that Father Martin Stepanich, for whom we have nothing but the warmest of personal fondness and a profound gratitude for the courageous witness that he has given in defense of the Holy Faith, would not agree that those who have left Saint Gertrude the Great Church have left the "Holy Roman Church" or that they have set "themselves up as their own authority." Yet this is what Mr. McKenzie, who lied to at least two correspondents as he denied any involvement with "Ballad of An Armchair Pope" and the Laypopes site itself, wrote initially. Would Father Cekada have us believe that Father Martin Stepanich agrees with the use of the word "apostate" by many of those who remain at Saint Gertrude the Great Church to refer to those who have left?
His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P., has been kept closely informed concerning the injustices that have been visited upon Father Markus Ramolla and those who have sought to defend him and others against the lies and misrepresentations that have been spread in the past six weeks. Bishop McKenna has read every article that I have written on this subject. He has read the postings that I have made on this home page. Bishop McKenna has read much of the material on the Laypopes site, telling me the "Ballad of An Armchair Pope" could have been penned by none other than Satan himself. He has, in light of Father Martin's letter, given me permission to reprint here the words that he wrote to me in his Christmas card to my family:
"I cannot compassionate you enough for the persecution you have had to suffer and still do, in the battle of St. Gertrude's, nor praise you enough for defending the good name of those innocently victimized. May your sufferings redound to the conversion of those persecuting you and Christ in you."
I can assure my readers that the work I have done on this matter has been reviewed prior to publication and that it was undertaken with great sadness and regret following the injustice visited upon Father Ramolla on November 5, 2009. Those who see things differently can come to whatever conclusions they desire. I have, however, done my due diligence in seeking the advice and counsel of others in this difficult matter.
Let us continue to pray for all involved as we turn our attention in these final days of Advent to the coming celebration of Christmas.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Minimizing Evil Is Itself Evil
Letters aplenty were sent to me in 1998 following a two-part expose in The Wanderer of the doctrinal and liturgical corruption extant in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, New York. A man who had been up to that point a friend of longstanding accosted me in front of Saint Raymond Church in East Rockaway, New York, prior to a pro-life march to denounce me for my having written the expose, saying that "poor" "Bishop" John Raymond McGann was doing the "best" that he could, that he was a "good" man. And it was later in the year that my expose was cited in a Newsday column as "proof" of my being "puffed up" as I went against my own "bishop," a man who countenanced one egregious offense against the Faith after another and, as it turned out, was a participant in the cover-up of crimes committed by perverted members of his clergy.
The expose that I wrote in 1998 contained nothing but facts, including the fact that a man who remains as a pastor in the diocese, Monsignor Frank Gaeta, had written a Lenten reflection in which he stated, "Make no mistake about it. Judas Iscariot is in Heaven." The reflection, which I believe was for Tuesday of Holy Week or for Spy Wednesday itself, ended with the following invocation, "Saint Judas, pray for us." Monsignor Gaeta, who once had an activist in the promotion of perverse sins against the Sixth and Ninth Commandments speak after the distribution of what purported to be Holy Communion in a Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service at Saint Brigid's School in Westbury, New York, in October of 1997, remains the conciliar "pastor" of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church in Deer Park, never having been publicly reprimanded by "Bishop" John Raymond McGann or his successor, "Bishop" James T. McHugh, or by the current conciliar ordinary of my home diocese, "Bishop" William Murphy, for having canonized Judas Iscariot. Ah, yes, the joy of the conciliar church, a place that has heard nothing but silence from Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI ever since "Archbishop" Robert Zollitsch denied on Holy Saturday this year, April 11, 2009, that Our Lord died in atonement for our sins on the wood of the Holy Cross.
One prominent figure in the Diocese of Rockville Centre told friends of mine at the time that everything that I had written was true but that it was "pointless" to publicize them. "What good will it do?" the man asked. How about defending the honor and glory and majesty of God? Doesn't that count for anything? How about helping just one soul to see things more clearly? Doesn't that count for anything? No, so many people at the time said that "silence" was the best policy, that things would get "better" over the course of time. Alas, "things" can't get "better" when offenses against Faith and/or Morals continue unabated. Errors must be corrected. Those being persecuted and lied about for defending the truth must be defended publicly and without apology. And it is a Spiritual Work of Mercy to admonish the sinner when he persists in his sins.
Facts meant nothing to conciliar apologists in 1998. They mean nothing to conciliar apologists today, joined as they have been by many, although not all, in the "resist and recognize" camp who have learned how to look the other and to be silent as Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI esteems the symbols of false religions and praises their places of false worship as "sacred" and extols their nonexistent "ability" to serve as instruments in the "building" of the "better" world. Facts should mean something to us as to minimize evils against Faith and/or Morals is itself evil.
As Pope Gregory the Great noted:
"It is better that scandals arise than that the truth be concealed." (found in Mr. Michael Cain's Cease Fire on the Daily Catholic website.)
Dear Morons and Idiots in Copenhagen
The title of this article speaks for itself. It is brief. Many of the recent articles on this site have been brief. You might find it of interest. (A related article from two years ago, From Proportion to Pantheism, might also be of interest.)
I will try to have another article posted at some point tomorrow, December 17, 2009.
Although those who support the work of this site are indeed very few in number, we are in need of a little bit of assistance from those who remain supporters of my work. A non-tax-deductible gift before Christmas would help us quite a bit right now. Thank you for any consideration you can give to this request.

Living In A World Of Needless Searches
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI lives in a world of needless "searches." He lauded his mentor, the late Father Hans Urs von Balthasar, as a man who spent his life in a "search" for the truth. He told Israeli President Shimon Peres on May 11, 2009, that it was necessary to conducted a "wholehearted, united search for God" as though the contents of the Deposit of Faith are difficult to find and to accept. Never doubt the apostasy of the conciliarists. They live in a parallel universe that has no relation to reality, no less the truths of the Catholic Faith. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
There are two brief editorials on the home page of the SGG Info that I urge every reader of this site to read. Also, I commend an observation, written by a reader of this site, in the form of an
Open Letter to Bishop Dolan from a Concerned Observer on the SGG Info site. Please continue to pray for Father Ramolla and those who are assisting him at this difficult time.
As we are close to the family of Saint Dominic, I am posting a link to the
Third Order of St. Dominic that has been for many years under the protection of His Excellency Bishop Robert F. McKenna, O.P.
There should be a new article on this site tomorrow, December 16, 2009. An announcement or two about the future of this site will be made in about a week or so.

Not For A Single Innocent Life
Not all alleged "pro-life" "victories" are victories at all. Indeed, most are fraudulent from beginning to end. This is the case with the "Stupak Amendment" to limit the use of Federal taxpayer funds to kill babies under ObamaCare. This is a short article. While it makes points that I have been making in various forums since 1995, it is an entirely new article to try to remind readers that we do not mortgage a single innocent life to place laurels on the heads of "pro-life" politicians who go out of their way to reassure pro-aborts that their allegedly "pro-life" measures won't interfere with the general availability of baby-killing under cover of the civil law. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

December 13 Articles (new article below)
Republished: An Immovable Foe of Religious Liberty
Saint Lucy was induced to worship the idols when a suitor, who was angered by her rejection of him after she had given away her riches to the poor, betrayed her as Christian to the pagan officials of the Roman Empire in Syracuse, Sicily at the beginning of the Fourth Century A.D., in the year 304 A.D. Saint Lucy could have saved her life if only she worshiped the idols.
Unlike the conciliar "pontiffs," men who have esteemed the symbols of various and sundry false religions, with their own consecrated hands, Saint Lucy refused to do so and was immovable when taken to a house of sin. She refused even to look upon the vice that was before her. May this immovable foe of religious liberty help us to see more clearly with the eyes of our immortal souls that the Catholic Church cannot be in the least responsible for the abominations and blasphemies and sacrileges and defections from the Faith perpetrated by the counterfeit church of conciliarism. May Saint Lucy, a model of purity and gentleness and grace and courage, help us to see so clearly that we flee to the catacombs where the Faith is protected without any concessions to conciliarism.
A blessed Gaudete Sunday to you all, and a happy Commemoration of Saint Lucy to all who are named after this great witness to the Faith, especially my dear wife, who took Saint Lucy as her patron at Baptism, and our dear daughter, Lucy Mary Therese Norma, who has, of course, a special devotion to the virgin and martyr from Syracuse, Sicily.
I ask your prayers also for the repose of the soul of the late Father Salvatore V. Franco, who died on this day seven years ago now. Father Franco, who suffered from serious heart problems but died of a form of leukemia that he only found out he had weeks before he died, was good enough to offer Sharon and the newborn Lucy and me refuge in his kitchen in Westbury, Long Island, New York, in April of 2002 as he offered the Immemorial Mass of Tradition for us each weekday.
Although I had long before abandoned the Novus Ordo service on Sundays and moved in "indult" circles, we made the decision to abandon all putative "offerings" of this travesty during the week when Father Franco took ill before he died. Father Franco, who was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn in 1953, had a heart attack in 1963 at the age of thirty-seven, an act of God's Divine Mercy that kept him from being immersed in parish life as the conciliar revolution proceeded apace. Father Franco kept active, however, offering Mass and helping souls. We will be forever grateful to him for providing us with the refuge that he did after Lucy's birth. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. We miss you, Father!
Appeasing Those Who Hate The Holy Name
What do appeasers get from those whose bullying they seek to appease? More bullying. Witness the relationship between the conciliar Vatican and the State of Israel. Read on. This is a relatively short article, the one that I finally got around to completing last evening. Another original article should appear tomorrow, Monday, December 14, 2009.
December 12 Republished Article
Republished: The Americas Belong to Our Lady
Our Blessed Mother gave us two great miracles on this day 478 years ago. Acceding to the demand of Apostolic Administrator [later Archbishop] Fray Juan de Zumarraga, O.F.M., the Mother of God saw to it that Castilian roses grew atop Tepeyac Hill so that her little "Juanito," Juan Diego, a fifty-five year-old widower to whom she had first appeared on December 9, 1531, could provide proof that it was she who had made the request of Fray de Zumarraga to built a shrine in her honor on the hill where she appeared. The administrator's guards, who had treated Juan Diego with such cruelty and even racism, spied those roses and tried to grab them out of Juan's tilma as he waited to see Fray de Zumarraga. The roses, quite miraculously, disappeared every time the guards sought to snatch them away from Juan Diego.
Those Castilian roses were presented by Juan Diego to Fray Juan de Zumarraga, who knelt before the Indian convert to the Faith as he gazed upon the miraculous image that Juanito did not know was there: the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who was clearly expecting the Baby Jesus. Remember, this was Advent in the year 1531, just forty-nine years after Christopher Columbus first set foot on the Island of San Salvador to implant the Cross of the Divine Redeemer in this hemisphere for the first time since Saint Brendan the Navigator had done so in the First Millennium.
Our Lady's miraculous image showing her expecting the Baby Jesus is quite symbolic of the expectant desire she had then--and has now--for the conversion of the peoples of the Americas to the true Faith, that each person and each nation be born anew as they submit themselves to Christ the King through His Catholic Church. Over nine million indigenous people converted to the true Faith within a short time following her apparition to Juan Diego on this day 478 years ago, almost person for person the number of people lost to the Faith as a result of the Protestant Revolt in Europe. It was almost as though God was saying to those who left, "Fine. I will have My Mother get new souls to populate Holy Mother Church and hence Heaven itself."
The Americas were indeed converted to Catholicism, which is why the devil had to attack the Faith in Latin America with such ferocity by means of the Masonic revolutionaries who were supported in both philosophical and monetary terms by the lodges in the nascent Untied States of America. Great crimes were committed against Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His Most Blessed Mother as a result. These crimes continue to this day, which is, of course, one of the reasons that Saint Michael the Archangel appeared with Our Lady as she spoke to Juan Diego. Our Lady has crushed the head of the serpent with her heel and Saint Michael the Archangel is our helper to crush him in our own lives and in the Americas where he reigns, albeit temporarily, in civil government and in popular culture.
May we rely upon the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Empress and Patroness of the Americas, to help us to be courageous enough to plant seeds for the conversion of the Americas, including the United States of America, to the Social Reign of Christ the King as It must be exercised by the Catholic Church. Perhaps an extra Rosary today on this glorious feast day will help us to be more faithful and more courageous in our promotion of the Social Reign of Christ the King and Mary our Immaculate Queen. Viva Cristo Rey!
You might liked to listen to a song composed and sung by Father Louis Campbell, the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas, about Our Lady of Guadalupe. And although I posted Father Campbell's song about the The Cristeros earlier this year, perhaps this would an excellent day to listen to it again.
A blessed Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe to you all.
Finally, I ask prayers on this day for my brother, who is also known as Dr. Droleskey, who turns fifty-six years of age today. Happy birthday, Bob.
An original article should be posted at some point later today.
December 11 Article and Afternoon Update
Missing the Really Big Picture
Yet another article on ObamaCare and the cooperation of the conciliar "bishops" with its scheme to nationalize the health-care industry. The conciliar "bishops" do not realize that surrendering the health-care industry into the hands of utilitarians who do not accept the binding precepts of the Divine Positive Law and the Natural Law as these have been entrusted by Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to the infallible teaching authority of the Catholic Church is to give unto civil leaders powers that do no belong to them. ObamaCare is wrong even if, as appears very unlikely at the moment, surgical baby-killing is not included in the final version of the bill that winds up being passed and then signed into law by Caesar Obamus. ObamaCare is opposed to the principle of subsidiarity. We must, therefore, never lose sight of the really big picture: that Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order. Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
It is my hope that another original article on this site tomorrow, December 12, 2009, in addition to a republished piece on the great feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Afternoon update: It seems as though almost everyone missed the article, Believing His Own Stuff, that I posted yesterday afternoon in response to Caesar Obamus's Nobel "peace" prize address.
Also, a reader has just informed me of a new posting at the SGG Info site written by Mrs. Janet Gaye, who recounts what happened when two thuggish boys trespassed on her property to shout at her on Thursday evening, October 22, 2009. Read
Open Letter to Bishop Dolan from Janet Gaye and you will discover why Father Markus Ramolla called out Father Cekada in his sermon on Friday, October 23, 2009. I knew only a few vague details of what had happened at Mrs. Gaye's house prior to now. I did not know exactly what happened. We were pretty occupied on the night of October 22, 2009, with the damage done to our motor home by the blown tire. Mrs. Gaye's letter attests to the thuggish behavior that I discussed in Absalom Times Two or More.
It is very telling that Bishop Daniel Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada have indemnified these brutal thugs time and time and time again just as they indemnified Joseph Charles McKenzie, a coward who hid his identity on that egregious website, explaining to a man he did not know was by that time a former parishioner of Saint Gertrude the Great Church that he, McKenzie, had nothing to do with at all:
-----Original Message-----

Subject: RE: How are you. Importance:High
Hey there, [name of recipient omitted],
I have nothing to do with the site other than getting some kind of mass distribution from someone in Quebec. Everyday the thing seemed to change so I kept up with it a bit. I am trying to distribute it every chance I get. Evidently, the poem was written by an actual poet according to their site. ("Go figure!" right?) [the rest of the message was personal to the recipient and will not be reprinted here]
Why are these additional details important? They are important because they show Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada to be friends and enablers of thugs and liars and character assassins.
Each of us is a sinner who is in need of seeking forgiveness from God and offering it freely to those who injure us. It is one thing to sin and to be sorry as one seeks out the mercy of God in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. It is another to enable and apologize for the sins of others. Our Lord is not going to restore His Holy Church by using clergymen who believe that amoral acts can be justified to "save" "their" work for a "work" that must be "saved" by such means is not of God.
That is why this scandal is of such importance.
December 10 Articles and Late-Afternoon Update on the Unraveling of the Laypopes Scandal
Absalom Times Two or More
I know. I know. Not another article about Saint Gertrude the Great Church. As I have been writing, stories such as this generate their own momentum. I do have other things to write about. Another article should appear on this site later today. Unfortunately, however, Father Anthony Cekada has written two new entries in his Quidlibet blog that require a response as he once again misrepresents the truth of the situation and minimizes the abuses that Father Markus Ramolla was seeking to end at Saint Gertrude the Great School. It would be good for Father Cekada and Bishop Dolan to accept the fact that there is another traditional venue in the greater Cincinnati area and get on with their own priestly work without making Father Ramolla their new favorite punching bag to replace Father William Jenkins and Immaculate Conception Church.
Well, the cowardly activities of Joseph Charles McKenzie, a very close friend of Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada, have unraveled. Far from being embarrassed by his cowardly, anonymous attacks upon a priest, Father Markus Ramolla, who was trying to protect the innocence and the purity of children at Saint Gertrude the Great School, and upon a innocent married woman, Mrs. Stephanie Johns, who was seeking to stop the vile abuses that had been indemnified time and again by Father Anthony Cekada, McKenzie claims a "victory" for his Laypopes site, which he has now linked to directly at his own
http://www.cathinst.com.
This is a "victory" that exists only in the dark recesses of McKenzie's mind, blinded as it must be to the repulsive nature of his exercise in cowardly character assassination and his distortion and misrepresentation of events that he has not witnessed with his own eyes. Readers can be assured that McKenzie did not act without at least the approval, if not the actual participation, of Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada. It is clear as well that McKenzie is also a man going by the name of "Nick" on various chat rooms, including one started by Father Cekada himself (see http://www.cathinfo.com/index.php/topic/t/9660).
This is the sort of "victory" that was proclaimed by then President George Walker Bush aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln on May 1, 2003:
Thank you all very much. Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, my fellow Americans: Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed. (Applause.) And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country.
In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty, and for the peace of the world. Our nation and our coalition are proud of this accomplishment -- yet, it is you, the members of the United States military, who achieved it. Your courage, your willingness to face danger for your country and for each other, made this day possible. Because of you, our nation is more secure. Because of you, the tyrant has fallen, and Iraq is free. (Applause.)
Operation Iraqi Freedom was carried out with a combination of precision and speed and boldness the enemy did not expect, and the world had not seen before. From distant bases or ships at sea, we sent planes and missiles that could destroy an enemy division, or strike a single bunker. Marines and soldiers charged to Baghdad across 350 miles of hostile ground, in one of the swiftest advances of heavy arms in history. You have shown the world the skill and the might of the American Armed Forces. (End of Major Combat in Iraq; see also
Iraq: car bombs kill at least 101 people in Baghdad.)
As was the case with Bush and the Iraq War on May 1, 2003, Joseph Charles McKenzie's "victory" exists only in his own mind.
The only reason that the identity of the Laypopes site collaborators became an issue for me is to right the grave wrongs done to Father Markus Ramolla and Mrs. Stephanie Johns. I don't see how those still at Saint Gertrude the Great Church can complain about "hard-hitting" articles that point to facts and seek to refute misrepresentations of truth when most of them have been totally silent about the character assassinations on Laypopes and do not want to face the fact that Joseph Charles McKenzie is a very close friend of Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada. Is it just a coincidence that the Laypopes site referred to the "Wingate Hate Church" and that Father Cekada is now referring to "Wingate Group Hate" on his Quidlibet site? Do those still remaining at Saint Gertrude the Great Church want to say that the anonymous postings on Laypopes that had Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada's approval, if only by their silence if not by their actual participation and consent, is not a scandal in and of itself?
Joseph Charles McKenzie will have to live with his cowardice for the rest of of his life as he refuses even now to put his own name on the Laypopes page, giving himself just a bit of cover as a coward by simply posting it on his own website of his very much misnamed "Catholic Institute of Arts and Letters."
Mr. Timothy Duff, the founding principal of Saint Gertrude the Great School and the former choir director of Saint Gertrude the Great Church, offer this reflection from Chapter 13 of the Book of Daniel that apply to the current state of events at his former parish:
“And there were two of the ancients of the people appointed judges that year, of whom the Lord said: Iniquity came out from Babylon from the ancient judges, that seemed to govern the people.
“And he cried out with a loud voice: I am clear from the blood of this priest.
“Then all the people turning themselves towards him, said: What meaneth this word that thou has spoken?
“But he standing in the midst of them, said: Are ye so foolish, ye children of the Church, that without examination or knowledge of the truth, you have condemned a son of the Church?
“Return to judgment, for they have borne false witness against him.
“So when they were put asunder one from the other, he called one of them and said to him: O thou that art grown old in evil days, now are thy sins come out, which thou hast committed before;
“In judging unjust judgments (cf. Jn. 7:24), oppressing the innocent, and letting the guilty to go free, whereas the Lord saith: The innocent and the just thou shalt not kill.
“And having put him aside, he commanded that the other should come, and he said to him: O thou seed of Chanaan, and not of Juda, beauty hath deceived thee, and lust hath perverted thy heart.
“And they rose up against the two elders, (for they had convicted themselves of false witness by their own mouth,) and they did to them as they had maliciously dealt against their neighbor.”
Get out of the country you said to him; as in Daniel, this sentence shall God return upon your own heads.
Continue to pray for all involved.
Believing His Own Stuff
Caesar Obamus has delivered his Nobel Prize for Peace address in Oslo, Norway. The speech is being praised even by naturalists of the "right." Why not? Both the "left" and the "right" believe that the world can be made "better" and more "secure" absent a due subordination to the Catholic Faith in all that pertains to the good of souls and as the authority of the Social Reign of Christ the King is respected and honored. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Republished Article: Spotless Blessed Mother, Spotless Mother Church
"I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION." Those words, uttered by the Mother of God herself to Saint Bernadette Soubirous in the Grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes, France, on March 25, 1858, was a Heavenly ratification of the solemn, infallible proclamation of the doctrine of her Immaculate Conception by Pope Pius IX on December 8, 1854, in the Bull Ineffabilis Deus. "I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION."
Our Lady was conceived in the womb of her holy mother, Good Saint Anne, without any stain of Original or Actual Sin in anticipation of the merits that would be won by her Divine Son, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on the wood of the Holy Cross. She, the Singular Vessel of Devotion, had the perfect human nature of Adam and Eve before their Fall from Grace in the Garden of Eden. It is important, therefore, to get the doctrine of Original Sin right in order to understand the great miracle worked by God in the soul of the fairest flower of our race, Our Lady, from the very first moment of her Immaculate Conception. To get anything about the doctrine of Original Sin wrong leads to the efforts on the part of Modernists to deconstruct the doctrinal definitions of Original Sin and of the Immaculate Conception.
Alas, the Catholic Church, our Holy Mother on earth, our Mater and Magister, is as spotless as the Immaculate Blessed Virgin Mary. Holy Mother Church does not deconstruct infallible dogmatic definitions. Holy Mother Church cannot do so, which is why we need to pray to Our Lady, she who is the Mediatrix of All Graces and our Immaculate Queen, to help us to cleave to true bishops and true priests in the catacombs who make no concessions to the counterfeit church of conciliarism that has promulgated an abominable "liturgy" and whose officials feel feel to "reinterpret" dogmatic truths according to Modernist propositions that have been condemned by the authority of our spotless Mother on earth, Holy Mother Church.
Mindful of the effects of our own sins on our immortal souls and of our need to make reparation for them to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through Our Lady's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, may we make the Secret prayer for today's Holy Mass our own
Receive the saving Victim we offer to Thee, O Lord, on the solemn feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary: and grant that, as we confess that by Thy prevenient grace she was kept free from every stain of sin; so, by her intercession, we may be delivered from all our offenses. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God.
A blessed Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.
Messiah Without A Purpose
This is a brief article examining some of the latest activities of the naturalist "messiah" of the moment, Barack Hussein Obama, who will soon be in Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in the phony baloney "climate change" conference while he is in in route to pick up his fake, phony, fraud "peace prize" in Oslo, Norway. We'll try to give Rabbi Ratzinger and his miter embossed with the Star of David some attention tomorrow.
Finally, there is a bit of news on the egregious website run by Mr. Joseph Charles McKenzie.
It appears as though Mr. McKenzie had a busy day yesterday covering his tracks as he made his character assassination/propaganda website inaccessible to a number of people whose "internet provider" addresses do not meet his evidently high and cultured, multilingual standards for approval. This is what a reader reporter after getting an assessment from a friend of his who is a computer expert:
Mr. McKenzie has given himself away, however. Earlier today, he took the site "down" by restricting access to certain IP addresses in the exact same way that whomever is behind cathinst.com has done. The similarities in programming and operating style between the two sites are uncanny. So uncanny, in fact, that laypopes.com was put back online within minutes of somebody sending me an email pointing out the similarities.
Mr. McKenzie has left his "fingerprints" over the work he did yesterday, which restricts access to his new site just as his other site has restricted access. (I learned early on in life to accept such rejection, by the way.)
So much time and trouble to conceal that which will be revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. Why bother? Or is it the case that his involvement causes others to connect the dots as to the participation or, at the very least, private approval and encouragement of his good and close friends in the clergy at Saint Gertrude the Great Church? Mr. McKenzie can still answer the questions posted below at any time he desires. (All you need to do is to scroll down the page, Mr. McKenzie, to find the questions in case you have deleted them from your inbox..)
Continue to pray for all involved. I continue to forgive those who have sought to injure me. I posted the notice that I did on Sunday to defend an exemplary Catholic mother and her family and a courageous priest from the most insidious attacks I have seen to intimidate a witness from testifying to the assaults upon the innocence and purity of the young that she had seen with her own eyes and heard with her own ears at a supposedly Catholic school. I will accept the attacks on me as a just chastisement for my sins. I will not hesitate, however, to defend those who are being savaged so mercilessly on the attack site. I believe that it is a moral crime to remain silent about such savage attacks.
One of those who is not being silent about the savage attack upon Mrs. Stephanie Johns is Mr. Mario Derksen, a sedevacantist, who has sent me the following statement to post on this site:
"I would like it to be known that in the last 22 months I have come to know Mrs. Stephanie Johns as a most caring, pious, and virtuous young woman, with great love for Our Lord and the Blessed Mother, for her Faith and the Church, for her husband and daughter, and for the school children committed to her care. I would like to express that I can personally testify to the uprightness of her moral character, as well as that of her husband, and that I am grateful and proud to be the godfather of their daughter. Andrew and Stephanie Johns have been a great blessing in my life, and I thank God for them. It is of no surprise to me that they should now be the victims of a wicked smear campaign, as was even Our Lord Himself, for no one who seeks to imitate Christ can expect to be treated any less contumeliously than He was."
Those who know the truth of this matter and can remain silent share in the guilt of Joseph Charles McKenzie and his compatriots for the attempt to discredit a witness against the well-known and very documented offenses against the innocence and the purity of the children at Saint Gertrude the Great School. Mr. McKenzie might be entertaining his "cultured" friends in the elite circle in which he moves. He is offending God greatly by defending Bishop Dolan by attacking a woman he has never met and seeking to discredit her even though he has no personal knowledge of anything that has happened at Saint Gertrude the Great School. I thank Mr. Derksen for his fine statement, which I did not solicit but am very honored to post.
This is not, as some who have sought to excuse their inexcusable silence in the face of the attack on Mrs. Johns, whom they know to be an innocent party and a defender of the souls of children, an "administrative" matter that does not require people to speak out to defend Mrs. Johns and to condemn her attackers and their enablers, both active and passive. Our Lord Himself spoke clearly about our moral responsibility to defend others as we would defend Him:
Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me. (Matthew 25: 45.)
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
December 6 Article and Evening Update
Collapsing Before Our Very Eyes
Junk theology leads in many cases to an acceptance of junk science. Ratzinger/Benedict, who has praised the penultimate evolutionist, Teilhard de Chardin, and has spoken favorably of "Theistic evolutionism," has been in the vanguard of the "green revolution" as the head of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Although he has issued statements on the environment that seem to contradict one another (warning on July 24, 2007, that we had to "listen to the voice of the earth" and one five months later that struck a more balanced tone), Ratzinger/Benedict presides over a collection of committed environmentalists who accepted the need for "climate change" even though most of the data upon which this "need" is based has been proved to be lies. Leave to a false religion that is an ape of the Catholic Church to be as one with a false science that is based on manufactured data. Saint Nicholas of Myra, pray for us.
Although I have not sought to defend myself against the distortions and character assassination on the Laypopes site, the most recent, vicious, vile, ugly set of lies posted on this demonic site calls for a brief commentary in order to condemn in the strongest terms possible the insidious attacks made upon Mrs. Stephanie Johns and Father Markus Ramolla. The attacks on Mrs. Johns, whose story was told two days ago in The Firing of Another Teacher and in the
News section of the SGG INFO website, are the most terrible things that I have seen clergy do to a happily married Catholic woman and her husband and a courageous priest. Not even the Novus Ordo thug bishops have stooped to this kind of depravity in most instances.
According to information that has been provided to me, the man responsible for the Laypopes site is one Joseph Charles McKenzie, the president of the Catholic Institute of Arts and Letters. McKenzie is very good friends with Bishop Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada.
Readers can draw their own conclusions as to the level of collaboration that exists among these three merchants of evil and lies, men who have stooped so low now as to attack an innocent married woman solely to discredit her as a witness against the degradation that exists at Saint Gertrude the Great School.
Shame on you, Bishop Dolan. You seek to "save" your "work" by showing us all that your "work" is not worth saving.
Shame on you, Father Cekada (who is not Robert Rawhide as had been thought by one of those chat room hosts; that honor belongs to a man named Robert Sheahan, a man who lives under a number of assumed names in the crevices of the internet). You show us that you are amoral and that you have no regard for truth or even Masonic decency.
Shame on you, you coward Joseph Charles McKenzie for anonymous exercises in character assassination. (I sent McKenzie a series of questions that I asked him to answer by last evening. He did not respond to my requests even though I told him that I would post the questions without his responses if he failed to answer.)
Shame on you, Bishop Donald Sanborn for not raising your voice publicly against the Laypopes site and for not stopping the descent of Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada into a degree of abject evil that makes the scorched earth policy of Bill Clinton during Monicagate seem tame by way of comparison. How can you lay moral claim to oppose Ratzinger/Benedict when you don't have the moral courage to speak out against these evils? (Father Cekada is scheduled to teach at Most Holy Trinity Seminary this very week. I wonder if he will be teaching the "Ethics of Witness Intimidation" while there. Just the sort of person to form the souls of future priests.)
Shame on each member of the clergy who has been in the tall grass until now and has refused to raise his voice in protest over the evils being committed by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada and their compatriot McKenzie in New Mexico.
The attack on Mrs. Johns and Father Ramolla on this egregious site is one of the most terrible things I have ever seen in my life. Bishop Dolan is presiding over the darkening of the name of Saint Gertrude the Great, who will be known to many people from now on not as the lover of the Sacred Heart but as the patroness of a parish whose clergy stopped at nothing to defend themselves by attacking others with filthy lies as a priest and lay people sought to protect the innocence and purity of the young.
How anyone can continue to attend Saint Gertrude the Great Church from this point forward is beyond me. It is nothing other than a den of pure evil wrapped in sanctimony and fraud.
Please pray for Mr. and Mrs. Johns and their daughter Raissa Anne and for Father Ramolla as they carry this cross that God has known would be visited upon them by vicious liars and amoral reprobates.
We must forgive our enemies. This does not mean, however, that we can't call evil by its proper name and denounce it as such.
These are the questions that I posed to Joseph Charles McKenzie yesterday that have remained unanswered as of today at 2:30 p.m., Eastern time:
Dear Mr. McKenzie,
Information has come to me today from several sources around the country identifying you as being responsible for the Laypopes site. You were one of the individuals who came to the minds of several people as soon as the site was launched. It took some time to put all of the pieces together.
I have questions to ask you for the public record in an article that I will posted this evening on this matter.
1) Do you confirm or deny that you have any connection to the Laypopes website?
2) Do you confirm or deny authorship of the "Ballad of An Armchair Pope"?
3) Do you confirm or deny that you have added other content of your own to the Laypopes site?
4) If you are indeed responsible for the Laypopes site, do you confirm or deny that Bishop Daniel Dolan and/or Father Anthony Cekada have provided information to you for use on the Laypopes site?
5) If you are indeed responsible for the Laypopes site, have any bishops or priests other than Bishop Dolan or Father Cekada supported you in this effort?
6) If you are indeed responsible for the Laypopes site, why have you hid behind the cloak of anonymity in doing so?
7) If you are indeed responsible for the Laypopes site, do you believe that Mrs. Stephanie Johns is lying about the abuses she witnessed at Saint Gertrude the Great School? Do you have any first-hand evidence in your possession that she is lying?
Might the source who provided me with the information about the horrible site be mistaken? Might the source have been attempting to provide disinformation in order to seek to test the person to whom McKenzie's identity was revealed? Anything is possible given the Machiavellian nature of the anonymous cowards behind the evil website. The man responsible for revealing McKenzie's name knows who he is. So do I. I forgive them all. We do know for certain that Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada have not even privately condemned the horrible website, something that speaks, at the very least, of their approval of it.
I have learned that Joseph Charles McKenzie sent out an e-mail on November 24, 2009, containing "Ballad of An Armchair Pope," asking a recipient to pass it along to her list, which she refused to do. This was done, as we can now see, to "direct traffic" to the egregious site." Looks like the source who blabbed was telling the truth this time (for a change).
Evening update: I have just received two e-mails that prove Joseph Charles McKenzie, a close personal friend of Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada, is the man responsible for the Laypopes site.
The first e-mail was sent on November 19, 2009, before the evil character assassination site was formally launched as a birthday gift to me (and I accepted it as such):

It is plain to see that the egregious site was still in development on November 19, 2009.
The second e-mail was sent on my birthday, November 24, 2009:

http://www.laypopes.com
Although no further proof is really necessary, I received this e-mail from another reader at around 8:30 p.m., Eastern time, this evening:
In case you did not already know this, I checked the domain registry for laypopes.com and it is registered to the same registration service provider (IPOWER, Inc.) as the Catholic Institute of Arts and Letters website (cathinst.com) to which Mr. McKenzie's name is attached as the owner. Ownership of laypopes, of course, is hidden. But, people tend to stick to the same provider...
God takes His time, my friends, but He is just. He does not let cowards hide behind such evil works for long. Joseph Charles McKenzie and Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada have been, as us uncultured folks from the streets of New York would say, busted. The "Laypopes" site stands exposed as nothing other than a cowardly propaganda arm of Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada. Gratuitous denials making the preposterous claims that this is not the case are simply not worth anything. The facts above speak for themselves.
We have great feasts to celebrate this week, including the Feast of Our Lady's Immaculate Conception and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Christmas Day is but nineteen days away. The cowards, whose identities are now revealed for the world to see, on that evil site can continue their dirty work. People can believe what they want. I will concentrate on my work against Modernism and in defense of the Social Reign of Christ the King and let the spiritually dead bury their own.
Let us pray an extra set of Rosaries each day until Christmas Day as a spiritual bouquet to be given to Father Ramolla and Mr. and Mrs. Johns in gratitude for the sufferings that they are enduring so bravely for the good of Holy Mother Church at this time as the clients of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. And, of course, although it is necessary to denounce the works of evil done in darkness with great firmness and conviction, we must keep those who have persecuted and calumniated these innocent souls very much in our prayers, especially at Holy Mass in the Memento for the Living and in our daily Rosaries!
Our Lady of Mercy, pray for us.
December 4 Article and Late Evening Update
The Firing of Another Teacher
Although there is a much fuller account of the firing of yet another teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Johns, from the faculty of Saint Gertrude the Great School, to be found on the
News section of the SGG INFO website, which I urge readers of this site to read before reading this narrative of my own, this article is my own commentary on the firing of Mrs. Johns, who was a much beloved teacher in her third year of teaching at the school. It is regrettable that yet another story about this matter needs to posted. I am, despite my own sins and failings, however, not going to shrink from defending those who are being persecuted for seeking to defend the innocence and the purity of the young at great cost to themselves.
This article contains an excellent commentary written by Mrs. Johns' husband, Mr. Andrew Johns, a well-versed Thomistic scholar, who until recently taught adult catechism classes on Sundays after the High Mass at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. It will be very interesting to see whether he is subject to the same sort of character assassination that has befallen others who have come forth to criticize the operation of Saint Gertrude Church and School. Saint Peter Chrysologus, pray for us. Saint Barbara, pray for us.
Late evening update: An article about the Vatican and "climate change" will be published at some tomorrow, December 5, 2009, or Sunday, December 6, 2009. My apologies for the delay in this much-anticipated article (my tongue is indeed firmly planted in my cheek.)
News reached me earlier today of the launching of a new website, St. Albert the Great, to provide information about the new confraternity and its Mass centers. Please continue to pray for all involved.
Finally, I ask your prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Mr. James Kennedy, the father of Miss Suzanne Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy had received the Sacrament of Extreme Unction from Father Denis McMahon before he died. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Lyndon Baines Walker Bush Obama
I know that you have all been waiting breathlessly for this very brief article on the speech given at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, by President Lyndon Baines Walker Bush Obama. Not to keep you waiting any longer, my friends, I present to you this article! (Even an oaf and a lump has a sense of humor now and again.) Saint Francis Xavier, pray for us.
There should be another article or two by tomorrow, Friday, December 4, 2009, the Feast of Saint Barbara. Keep checking.
December 2 Articles, including the latest on the tragic events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church
Huck Passes The Buck
Naturalists are, of course, very good at holding their ideological adversaries to a different set of standards than their allies. Yesterday's attacks on a "liberal" governor's support for a weekend furlough program for convicted felons must be forgotten if a "conservative" governor's grant of clemency to a wild man who had been sentenced to 108 years in person is your ally.
Thus it is that the Fox News Channel, whose president, Roger Ailes, helped to conceive the strategy to make convicted murderer Willie Horton an albatross around the neck of Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis in 1988, is providing a easy pass to former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who granted a commutation on May 3, 2000, of that long prison sentence being served by violent felon Maurice Clemmons, who was shot to death yesteday morning a day after he murdered four police officers near Tacoma, Washington. While it is irresponsible to claim Huckabee deserves blame for what happened three days ago now, it is also a little disingenuous for the naturalists of the "right" to go soft on the affable Huckabee after having savaged--and rightly so-- the cartoon figure named Michael Dukakis. Such are the ways of naturalism, however, that great efforts must be expended to excuse one's own "kind' in order to save face at all costs. Our Lad of Fatima, pray for us. Saint Bibiana, pray for us.
I had hoped to have another article for you by today. My brief commentary on the speech given last night by Lyndon Baines Walker Bush Obama will have to wait until tomorrow.
Remember to keep praying the Christmas Novena and the Novena in Honor of the Immaculate Conception.
In A Capsule
As I noted eight days ago, certain stories generate their own momentum. This is what happened as a result of the reporting on the clerical abuse of authority in the Novus Ordo structures that has now exposed the conciliar "bishops" in Ireland to public scorn and disdain, if not revulsion, for their decades long refusal to deal forthrightly with serious allegations of abuses made by victims of priests/presbyters. None of the scandals that have erupted in Ireland, which were examined in Never Afraid to Scandalize the Little Ones, should have come to public light if those in clerical authority in the conciliar structures had taken the complaints seriously. So many souls have lost the Faith as a result.
Similarly, the tragic turn of events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church need never have come to public light if Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada had taken the serious concerns of the laity to heart and made the changes that were necessary to protect the children of Saint Gertrude the Great School. Some of these abuses have been catalogued on the home page of the SGG INFO website. Far from being miniscule, these abuses are serious, and yet they have been minimized time and again by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada. My own current article is simply a summary of events to help readers to understand that it is the same sort of arrogant abuse of clerical authority as found in the structures of the Novus Ordo system that is at the heart of the thoroughly preventable tragedy that has befallen Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio.
Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada have been silent in the face of the venomous attacks on a new website posted by anonymous individuals eight days ago. Bishop Donald Sanborn has been silent as well. Their silence betokens approval of the website, which has savaged a priest they used to praise, and a layman, Mr. Timothy Duff, who gave of himself tirelessly to Saint Gertrude the Great Church and School. The attack website is nothing other than an effort, borrowed from Joseph Stalin and Saul Alinsky, to character assassinate existing critics and to prevent others from coming forth lest they be character assassinated themselves.
Although I, for one, accept the attacks on me as a just chastisement for my sins as I pray for the cowards who are responsible for making them, it is nevertheless interesting to note that Bishop Dolan, who was very publicly supportive of my work and who helped to vet at least ten articles on this site, which he used to recommend to his parishioners without reservation, has been very silent as the totality of my work has been eviscerated on the attack website. This does make it appear that anyone who criticizes Bishop Dolan on any matter at all even though he has in the past demonstrated loyalty to the extent of losing friendships and professional associations is at risk of being castigated variously as "breaking
from the Holy Roman Church and setting themselves up as their own authority," implying that Saint Gertrude the Great Church is the authority of the Holy Roman Church, or as "Church bashers and sect builders" or as "Lutheran loners and losers" or as "intellectually bankrupt losers attacking the Church."
I pray for Bishop Dolan and Bishop Sanborn and Father Cekada each day. They are the ones who have brought this scandal upon themselves after years of arbitrarily treating the sheep as an inferior species of people who can be thrown out of their chapels at will. Many people have written to me in recent weeks to explain that they have lived in fear of losing access to the Sacraments if they brought any of their own concerns to the shepherds. Simple Catholics who just wanted to have access to the Sacraments knew that they were viewed with suspicion by their shepherds. Spies have been used by some of these shepherds to see whether any of their sheep had attended "competing" chapels to see who should be thrown out of "their" sacramental preserves and/or forced to sign their names to "scarlet letters" in the vestibules of their chapels to apologize publicly for assisting at the "wrong" Mass. Attitudes and actions such as those exhibited by Bishop Dolan and Bishop Sanborn and Father Cekada make them Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's best friends as they drive their own sheep back into the conciliar church and as their scandalous behavior and schismatic mentality discredits sedevacantism almost in toto.
I bear no one any malice. I will, however, refuse to be intimidated from exposing clerical tyranny and an attitude of ecclesiastical exclusivity and near-infallibility that have nothing to do with the proper exercise of the exalted offices of bishop and priest that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ instituted to help the sheep get home to Heaven with the care that He, the Good Shepherd, shows to His sheep, especially when they are suffering and bring to Him their heavy burdens.
Although I had hoped that this would be the last article on this tragedy, I am afraid that more will have to be written, especially as a result of a late-breaking development that has just been made known to me. It would be wonderful to live in peace without any conflict at all. There are times, however, when it is morally obligatory to come to the assistance of those who are being persecuted by clerical thugs who will stop at nothing to crush anyone and everyone who utters a word of criticism about them.
As regrettable as these events are, it is important to remember the words of Pope Saint Gregory the Great:
"It is better that scandals arise than that the truth be concealed." (found in Mr. Michael Cain's
Cease Fire on the Daily Catholic website.)
This whole scandal could have been avoided if the cries of parents had been heard rather than mocked. It is that simple.
Everything gets revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. The deeds of darkness done in this life will be exposed for all to see then without any misrepresentations of fact or distortions of truth.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Drinking More Than Swiss Miss Chocolate
The conciliar "bishops" of Switzerland are aghast that voters in this confederal nation have approved, by a margin of fifty-seven percent to forty-three percent, a referendum to ban the construction of more Mohammedan minarets in this land that had, as the Old Swiss Confederacy within the Holy Roman Empire, such as rich Catholic heritage during the Middle Ages. The Swiss "bishops" have been joined in their protests by voices from the conciliar Vatican, including the editor of L'Osservatore Romano, Gian Maria Vian, who has had quite a year publishing articles in support of Barack Hussein Obama, Oscar Wilde, Harry Potter, John Calvin, and Karl Marx (Vian's praise of the Beatles came last year at around this time). What else is new in the life of the counterfeit church of conciliarism?
Oh, my friends, never let the battles of the moment, which pass in due course, make you lose sight of the simple truth that imposters hold possession of the Vatican and diocesan chancery officers. Our Lady will deal with them in due course, especially if we offer up our sufferings in patience and joy and with much gratitude to her Divine Son through her own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart.
Remember to keep praying the Christmas Novena and the Novena in Honor of the Immaculate Conception.
Revised: A Champion for All Ages
Today is the 428th anniversary of the martyrdom of Blessed Edmund Campion, that brave priest of the Society of Jesus who sought to offer Holy Mass for underground Catholics in Elizabethan England at the end of the Sixteenth Century during the midst of vicious persecutions.
Blessed Edmund Campion did not believe in false ecumenism. He wanted to reclaim England, which had been a thoroughly Catholic nation for nearly a thousand years, for the true Faith. Father Campion was a true patriot of his beloved country. He loved God and His Holy Church first and foremost, recognizing that the common temporal good of England would suffer if this land remained separated from the Holy See indefinitely. Behold the results in England today as paganism and even Mohammedanism have taken hold and as the counterfeit church of conciliarism treats the Anglican sect as a legitimate "expression" of Christianity. How sad it is that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI accords special recognition to the heretical Anglican "rites" that Father Campion knew to be a rejection of the Catholic Faith and thus hideous in the sight of the Most Blessed Trinity.
Blessed Edmund Campion, pray for the conversion of England.
Remember that our annual Christmas Novena prayers began yesterday as did the Novena in honor of the Immaculate Conception. Here is a handy link to use for those prayers: Christmas Novena/Novena in Honor of the Immaculate Conception.
There should be, God willing and Our Lady interceding, two new articles tomorrow, December 2, 2009, the Feast of Saint Bibiana.

Never Afraid to Scandalize the Little Ones
The conciliar "bishops" in the United States of America are past masters at stonewalling the sheep who have brought to them various complaints in the past forty years, including those dealing with accusations of abusive behavior on the part of conciliar priests/presbyters. These "bishops" wrote the book, if you will, as to how to use old-fashioned clericalism to browbeat the laity. Not to be outdone in this exercise of clericalism, however, are the conciliar "bishops" in Ireland, whose actions in protecting predator priests/presbyters is rocking the Land of Saints. What else can be expected after forty years of offenses against the honor and glory and majesty of God as a false form of worship and false doctrines are promoted as being consonant with the Catholic Faith? Saint Andrew the Apostle, pray for us. We are living through a chastisement of epic proportions.
In case you missed the announcement made yesterday afternoon, there is a very informative article about the founding of Saint Gertrude the Great School that has been written by Mr. Timothy Duff, the founder of the school and, until a few weeks ago, the choir director at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. Please do read Mr. Duff's
The Founding and the Foundering of St. Gertrude the Great School. (An earlier link to an editorial on the Daily Catholic site has been removed as that website's editor has decided to seek the approval of his spiritual director for its publication.)
Remember that our annual Christmas Novena prayers begin today. Also starting today is the Novena to the Immaculate Conception. Here is a handy link to use for those prayers: Christmas Novena/Novena to the Immaculate Conception.
A blessed Feast of Saint Andrew to you all.
November 29 Article and Afternoon Update
A Truly Quiet Revolution
Today, the First Sunday of Advent in 2009, is the forty-fifth anniversary of the inaugural offerings of the Ordo Missae of 1964-1965, the "transitional" Mass between the modernized version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition that was promulgated by Angelo Roncalli/John XXIII in 1961 and 1962 (which is the "gold standard," if you will, for the Motu offerings/simulations of the Mass of Tradition) and the Protestant and Masonic Novus Ordo service, which went into effect forty years ago tomorrow, that is, on the First Sunday of Advent in 1969, November 30.
The revolution of 1964 was a quiet one. Most people accepted the abolition of Psalm 42 prior to the Confiteor and the Prayers after Law Mass without a peep. They accepted English in the liturgy as did the Catholics who had defected to the Anglican sect in the Sixteenth Century. They accepted a quiet revolution that turned out to be the means to prepare them for the acceptance of the very loud revolution that was begun forty years ago today, a revolution that continues to offend Our Lord greatly and to devastate the souls for whom He shed every single drop of His Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross. We must never make any concessions at all to the Novus Ordo as its spirit is not of God and was designed to propagate a false religion that is at war in many respects with the Catholic Faith, the faith of our fathers whose permanence and stability and glory are still communicated in the true offerings of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition in the underground.
As we enter upon the penitential season of Advent, may we intensify our efforts to make reparation for our own sins, preparing to welcome Our Lord with joy each day into our hearts by means of Holy Communion, cleaning out the stable, so to speak, by weekly confession and begging Our Lady through her Most Holy Rosary to help us to ready at all times for the day of Our Lord's coming for us at the end of our lives.
A blessed Advent to you all.

The Founding and the Foundering of St. Gertrude the Great School.
Finally, I ask your prayers for the repose of the immortal soul of the mother of Mrs. Judith Sharpe, one of the founders of the In The Spirit of Chartres Committee (ISOC). We offer our condolences to Mrs. Sharpe and assure her and her family of our prayers. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Ashamed of Christ the King In Life? He Will Be Ashamed of You in Death?
Although a little tired from recent travels and from some of the unhappy events of recent weeks, which have seemed like the proverbial eternity, I did want to offer this brief article in defense of the Social Reign of Christ the King that was denied and mocked by two apologists of conciliarism, Joseph Bottum and George Weigel, on the Eternally Wishful Television Network (EWTN) recently. Those who are ashamed of the immutable doctrine of the Social Reign of Christ the King in life ought to be a little concerned about the fact that Our King will be shamed of them in death. May God have mercy on us all. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, pray for us.
There should be another original article tomorrow, the First Sunday of Advent, November 29, 2009.
Be sure to keep up with the information found on the SGG INFO website.
November 27 Revised Article
With a few more miles under our belts (and without any motor home problems--should we call the motor home the "Lay Popemobile" now?), I thought that I would let my readership, few in number that you are, of course, know that the next original article on this site will appear tomorrow, November 28, 2009. It will deal with John Paul II apologist George Weigel's recent mockery of the Social Reign of Christ the King.
In the meantime, however, I have slightly revised my annual Advent reflection, Anticipating Advent in 2009.
A number of people have written in the past few days. Our travels have precluded me from responding to each note. A few e-mails from yesterday appear to have been lost. I will respond to the notes when I get a chance over the course of the next few days. Those who have not heard from me ought to resend their e-mails.
There is a lot of useful information about the tragic turn of events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church to be found on the SGG INFO website. And please continue to pray for Father Markus Ramolla.

More Than Enough Chaos To Go Around
There are some in the "resist and recognize" movement and in "conservative" Catholic circles who are chortling quite a bit about the tragic turn of events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. A little bit of introspection on their part, however, might reveal that there is more than enough chaos to go around in this time of apostasy and betrayal, starting with the chief fomenter of chaos in conciliar circles, Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI. Saint Catherine of Alexandria, pray for us. (This article was revised slightly around 12:45 p.m., Eastern time, this afternoon.)
Well, the fallout from my article that responded to Father Anthony Cekada's "School Dazed" has begun. Someone has brought out heavy artillery to read me out of the Catholic Church for my having left and then criticized some of the operations of Saint Gertrude the Great Church. One person, who hides under the cloak of anonymity, has written a clever, if not brilliant, poem to announce my apostasy to the world. I have created a page on this site, A Bull of Excommunication from An Anonymous Excommunicator, whereby the decree of my excommunication may be read. If leaving and criticizing Saint Gertrude the Great Church casts one outside of the pale of the Catholic Church, my friends, then I am afraid that those who believe such a thing have a mentality that is not consonant with the Catholic Faith (and that is being as charitable and as restrained as I can be).
Everything gets revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. (Enough publicity has been given to the new website dedicated to attacking Father Ramolla and me. The anonymous creators of that site are on their own from now on as we pray for and forgive them.)
There are, however, only two tiny corrections that I am going to make as I avoid a general rebuttal of the attacks against me that would utterly pointless to undertake as people are going to believe what they are going to believe.
The first is that I have never claimed in any of my writing at any time to have any expertise in canon law, which was never a field that I took during my seminary studies. I have relied on various priests in recent years for direction in matters of canon law, including the writings of Father Cekada himself. Oops.
Second, I am insulted for my daughter that the photograph chosen for the new site implies that the hat of hers I was wearing when the photograph was taken as a means of poking fun at myself was of an "uncultured" nature. I'll have the anonymous person who created this site know that my daughter only wears cultured winter stocking caps.
Other than that, however, I have nothing to say other than that I forgive the person who has created this site and will his good, the ultimate expression of which is the salvation of his immortal soul, thanking God abundantly for the opportunity to be humiliated in this manner. My sins deserve far worse. Deo gratias!
November 24 Article and Evening Update
Cover-Ups Always Unravel, Well, Almost Always
(Thanks to the eagle eyes of two readers, two typographical errors were brought to my attention. A sentence on this home page should have read as follows: "I have not caused the wound to justice." A sentence within the body of the article should have read:
"One will note that Dr. Gebel was NOT trying to teach Father Cekada about moral theology." There was also an incomplete sentence on this home page that has been completed. I apologize for these errors and thank the readers who brought them to my attention.)
Stories involving fast-breaking events frequently take on lives of their own. There are many other things that I would much rather write about than the truly sad and tragic turn of events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church that have spiraled out of control solely because Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada have refused to take seriously the earnest pleas that have been made to them by their sheep over the years and sought to punish Father Markus Ramolla for refusing to back down as he sought to give voice to the pleas of these sheep.
Father Cekada's dismissive attitude about these pleas is on full display in "School Dazed," his smarmy, intellectually dishonest, and thoroughly reprehensible attempt to dismiss as merely a "goofy misunderstanding" the fact that well over one hundred parishioners, many of whom have given their life's blood in terms of talent and treasure to the building and maintenance of Saint Gertrude the Great Church and School, have had enough of the endless efforts to insult their intelligence. Are these people who have left Saint Gertrude the Great Church suffering from a case of mass hysteria? Did Father Markus Ramolla have a "master plan" to destroy Saint Gertrude the Great Church and take these families with him as he somehow forgot to provide a residence, automobile and a Mass center for himself when he had pushed the "destruct' button to complete his "plan"?
It is not to be ungrateful to Bishop Dolan for all that he has done for us and for all that he has taught us to take seriously these words of Saint Thomas Aquinas and to put them into action as we pray for his intentions on a daily basis without fail:
"It must be observed, however, that if the faith were endangered, a subject ought to rebuke his prelate even publicly."
"Article 2: Fraternal correction is a matter of obligation (precept) out of charity for the sinner. And if the order of fraternal correction has been observed (beginning with private admonitions until there is no other recourse for the sake of the faith than to publicly proclaim the prelate), to do so for the sake of the faith can be meritorious." (Saint Thomas Aquinas)
Some have, rather pointedly, I should add, asked as to what gives me the "right" to offer commentaries on matters of this sort? "Right" is, of course, the wrong word as a Catholic who sees serious wrongdoing has an obligation to address it, especially when the good of souls is involved. I am a nobody, a terrible sinner who has had some of his sins, both real and exaggerated, thrown in his face in recent weeks. This is very good for my humiliation. With Saint Francis of Assisi, I say with joy and gratitude, "Deo gratias!," for each opportunity to have my pride beaten down as I have been castigated for my faults and mistakes, for which, at age fifty-eight on this very, day, I hope to be able to live long enough in order to correct. Yes, indeed, I have much for which to make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This having been noted, however, God has ordained it that sinful creatures must, as they seek to make reparation for their own sins, speak out against injustices committed against others, doing so without malice or vengeance, seeking only to rectify the wounds to justice that have occurred in any given situation. The wound to justice in the case of Father Markus Ramolla is the terrible way in which he has been castigated by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada for seeking to give voice to the suffering of the sheep at Saint Gertrude the Great Church who have sought a sympathetic ear for so long. I kept my own peace about these events until Father Ramolla was dismissed by Bishop Dolan on November 5, 2009, and I had to put aside all human respect and past personal loyalty to stand with a courageous priest and his manly defense of truth. It is terrible that I have had to do this. However, I did NOT cause the wound to justice. Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada have done so.
There was a time in the Spring of 1995 when I finishing up a year of full-time teaching at the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University that information was presented to me about the hiring of a pro-abortion law professor to teach at the Saint John's University School of Law in Jamaica, Queens, New York. Although I had many other things to do, including commentaries on other matters to write for The Wanderer, I dropped everything to investigate this story, uncovering more and more material that demonstrated my own undergraduate alma mater's betrayal of the Catholic Faith. I believe that I wrote something along the line of four or five detailed news stories on the matter, prompting Father Donald Harrington, C.M., the President of Saint John's University,
to go out of his way from the enclave of his office in a separate building to burst into the office of the chairman of an academic department. Carrying a copy of The Wanderer, Father Harrington is reported to have said:
"What are we going to do about this? He's killing us!"
I had no intention of "killing" Father Harrington or Saint John's University then. I have no intention of "destroying" Bishop Dolan or Saint Gertrude the Great Church or the traditional movement now. My only goal is to give voice to the truth in as reasoned a manner that I know how. Readers are free to accept or to reject what is written in any article on this site, including this one. I do want to make it clear, however, the traditional movement can be no more immune to self-examination in situations such as this one as the Novus Ordo "bishops" who sought to wrap themselves up in a variety of semantic cloaks to protect themselves from having their own misdeeds brought to light. We must never be afraid of the truth, either about ourselves or the situations that we find ourselves in at various points in our lives.
This is now my fourth--and I sincerely hope--my last article on the subject of Saint Gertrude the Great Church. It has been written because of the serious misrepresentations and distortions of fact offered by Father Anthony Cekada in "School Dazed." A longtime parishioner, Mr. Timothy Duff, has written a piece about the history of Saint Gertrude the Great School that will be posted in a day or so. It is my intention to return to other work later today, November 24, 2009, although I might, as I have when reporting on other stories involving fast-breaking events, have to return to this tragic matter if events require another article.
As I have noted, what it is at stake in this matter is truth. Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI is not going to be taken out in chains and leg irons for distorting the truths of the Faith. The distortions and misrepresentations of truth that have been made by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada are not necessarily matters that will result in criminal charges. This does not mean that we cannot be as offended by such distortions and misrepresentations of truth made by true bishops as we are when they are made by the false "pope" and his "bishops."
It is time for us to get on with the business of sanctifying our souls and to opposing the errors of the Modernists in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. People are going to believe what they want to believe. Everything is indeed revealed on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead. Let us continue to pray for each other.
So What? has been amended somewhat to reflect a post from "Robert Rawhide" on a "chat room" that pretty much proves the pseudonym belongs to Father Cekada, which is why he has minimized the purchasing and smoking of cigarettes by minors at Saint Gertrude the Great School.
The next article on this site will deal with the joy that many anti-sedevacantists have taken in the unfolding of events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. Some of these folks have written to me to speak of "canonical chaos." They should know. Their "pope" has remained mute about "Archbishop Robert Zollitsch's denial, made on Holy Saturday, April 11, 2009, that Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ died in atonement for our sins Oh, yes, those who accept Ratzinger/Benedict as their "pope" are experts in the matter of "canonical chaos."
Saint John of the Cross, pray for us.
Saint Chrysogonus, pray for us.
November 23 Article
So What?
Although Father Anthony Cekada has issued a "response" to the recent articles that have been published about the events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church that will be the subject of an article to be posted on this site at some soon, Father's five page article, "School Dazed," does present an opportunity for this brief article of mine, which was written four days ago now and has been held back for publication, to be posted.
It is very interesting that Father Cekada denounces those who spend time on chat rooms, something that readers of this site know I do not do. It is interesting that Father Cekada denounces those who spend time in chat rooms as he spends more than a little time in such internet destinations himself, using various pseudonyms. This means that he, a priest, has got a lot of time on his hands that might be, quite possibly, better used for the sanctification and salvation of souls.
We were present at Father Markus Ramolla's offering of high Mass yesterday at the Wingate Hotel in West Chester, Ohio. I am also happy to report that His Excellency Bishop Robert McKenna, O.P., announced his own support of Father Ramolla as he spoke from the pulpit of Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in Monroe, Connecticut yesterday, Sunday, November 22, 2009.
My response to Father Cekada's "School Daze" will be posted at some point later today or early tomorrow, November 24, 2009. Apart from that response and a commentary written by a longtime parishioner of Saint Gertrude the Great Church, it is my hope to turn my attention full-time once again to the apostasies of the Modernists in the conciliar church and to the evils being promoted under cover of the civil law by the statists in the world.
Finally, I ask your prayers for the repose of the soul of the father of Mrs. Bridget McDonnell, Mr.
Mark Valderemao, who died earlier yesterday, Sunday, November 22, 2009. The McDonnells, who live in Tasmania, are good friends of ours who have been very generous to us. Please join us in praying for the repose of the immortal soul of Mr.
Mark Valderemao. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

When Apostates Are Two of a Kind
The electrical cord that powers the computer on which these articles are written has gone bad. The computer's battery is about to lose its juice, shall we say. Suffice it for now to note that this article is but a brief comment (hey, don't you like these shorter commentaries?) on the address that the apostate Rowan Williams, who met earlier today, November 21, 2009, the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with the apostate Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI, at the Pontifical University of the Gregorianum on Thursday, November 19, 2009.
Please understand that the constraints of my time do not permit me, especially now with our continued motor home difficulties, to respond to every e-mail that I receive. It is simply not possible to do so. All I can note at this point is what I have stated in the three articles that I have written on the regrettable turn of events involving Saint Gertrude the Great Church and Father Markus Ramolla: this whole tragedy burst into public view because of the treatment that Father Ramolla was accorded as he sought to address his concerns privately. Although I am truly saddened that these events have estranged me from clerics and lay people who have been our friends and to whom we will always be grateful for the many kindnesses they have shown to us, over the years I am honored to stand with Father Ramolla and his defense of truth. Further comment will be offered when events warrant. In the meantime, of course, we must pray very fervently for all involved.
A blessed Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to you all.

Refusing To Take Ratzinger At His Word
Although it is now 4:09 p.m., Eastern time, on the Feast of Saint Felix of Valois, I did want to post this article to respond to an interview that "Monsignor" Guido Pozzo, the Secretary of the Ecclesia Dei Commission, to a French magazine, L'Homme Nouveau, concerning the "reform of the reform."While it is not at all clear that this "reform of the reform" will result in the abolition of the "extraordinary form of the Roman Rite" in the conciliar structures, it is clear that substantial elements of the Novus Ordo, including the feast day in honor of "Pope John Paul the Great," will be incorporated into that modernized version of the Immemorial Mass of Tradition. Never doubt the apostate nature of the counterfeit church of concilairism. Saint Felix of Valois, pray to Our Lady so that we can be ransomed from madness of the Modernists in the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
There should be another article at some point tomorrow, the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, prior to a gap of a few days to account for travel. I will write the new travelogue after we have arrived at our next destination.
November 19 Article and Late Evening Update
Still Coming to the Rescue
Another very brief article (it seems as though the immediate aftermath of motor home difficulties brings forth shorter articles more days than not). This one is another "reality check" for those tempted to lose sight of the fact that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict is an apostate who has expelled himself from the bosom of the Catholic Church by holding to one condemned proposition after another. Another good reality check might be a review of If I Were King of the Forest.
Never be discouraged. Never be demoralized. Remember that God has known from all eternity that the events that befall us on a daily basis would occur. Cleave to His Most Blessed Mother, especially by means of her Most Holy Rosary. Hold fast to the unchanged and unchangeable truths of the Catholic Faith. Never surrender to the conciliarists. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, pray for us!
I ask your prayers for the recovery of Mr. Kevin Cain, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cain of the Daily Catholic website, with which I have been associated from early-2001 to the present time. Mr. Kevin Cain is suffering massive epileptic seizures and has been hospitalized at the University of California--San Diego. Please pray for Kevin and his self-sacrificing parents who do so much for Holy Mother Church in this time of apostasy and betrayal.
Finally, remember to keep checking the Saint Gertrude the Great Information website. My own response to Bishop Daniel Dolan's terrible attack on Father Markus Ramolla four days ago was posted yesterday. Please read Shooting the Messenger.
Late evening update: There may be an article posted tomorrow, Friday, November 20, 2009, the Feast of Saint Felix of Valois. It is also possible that the next article will have to wait until the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday, November 21, 2009. In the meantime, however, I would like to refer you to an article written in the year 2000 by Mr. Timothy Duff, an eminent Catholic writer who is one of the world's foremost experts on the Venerable Mary of Agreda's The Mystical City of God. His article, Virtue Is Greater Than Dignity, was posted on the Daily Catholic website in 2005.

Shooting the Messenger
Bishop Daniel Dolan's attack ("An Apology") on Father Markus Ramolla, which was delivered at Saint Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester, Ohio, on Sunday, November 15, 2009, was direct and it was personal. Bishop Dolan accused his critics of being filled with hate, stating pretty openly in The Lord Hath Done This that at least some of those who were assisting at Father Markus Ramolla's offering of Holy Mass that day were suffering from "mental illness."
These kinds of emotionally manipulative tactics are beneath the episcopal dignity that Bishop Dolan says that he is trying to protect. Father Ramolla was seeking to address his concerns to Bishop Dolan privately. It is Bishop Dolan who has brought about the public scandal by refusing to take seriously these concerns and by treating Father Ramolla with contempt, going so far as to say that he should never have been ordained.
Left unaddressed, of course, is the simple truth that many of the faithful who gave their very lives and much of their fortunes to Saint Gertrude the Great Church are fed up with having their complaints dismissed. They are tired of having to live under the threat of having contracts placed under their noses to sign to pledge to remain silent about various matters in order to receive the sacraments. God Himself has provided these good people with a refuge in this storm in the person of Father Markus Ramolla. Deo gratias.
There is no further need for me to make any additional commentary on this matter unless events warrant my doing so. People will choose to believe what they want. Whatever might emerge in coming weeks concerning the abuses at Saint Gertrude the Great Church and School will be reported in various updates. It is so very sad to see these events play out almost exactly as they have in the conciliar structures as the sheep are browbeaten by their shepherds for seeking help when they and their children have suffered abuse. Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.
Let us pray for all involved as we continue to make reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary for our sins, which have played no small role in the worsening of the condition of the Church Militant on earth and of the world-at-large.
Obama the Obsequious
Barack Hussein Obama has been in Red China, bowing and scraping to his Communist paymasters there. Tarcisio "Cardinal" Bertone, the conciliar Vatican's Secretary of State, is still urging Catholics in the underground church in Red China to make "nice-nice" with the Communist dictators. Just another day of Chastisement as the errors of Russia continue to flow very freely in the world and in the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Saints Peter and Paul, pray for us.

Rational Thought Need Not Apply
No, this is not the article that responds to Bishop Daniel Dolan's attack on Father Markus Ramolla. That particular article is written. It is being vetted at this time. I must await approval before posting it.
This brief article has been prompted by the re-emergence from former Vice President Richard Cheney's secret hiding place of the former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Heath Palin, who is promoting a book that she claims to have written, admitting the "help" of a co-author. One who is incapable of rational, coherent speech, however, is incapable of rational, coherent writing. Mrs. Palin's turn as an author is somewhat similar to that of former baseball pitcher David Wells, who responded as follows when asked about a statement he had made in his "autobiography:" "I can't comment on that. I haven't read the book yet." A system based on the errors of the Protestant Revolution's overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King must produce people who are steeped in incoherency and contradiction, sort of like Joseph Ratzinger's Principles of Catholic Theology.
Check back later to see if the new article on the terrible tragedy at Saint Gertrude the Great Church has been posted. No one that I know of takes any glee in these events. It is necessary, however, to defend a courageous priest's good name, and this is what the forthcoming article attempts to do. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us. Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus, pray for us.
November 16 Update
Although I am working on a response to Bishop Daniel Dolan's attack on Father Markus Ramolla, "Apology", I thought it would be useful for those checking this site to listen to Father Ramolla's own sermon from yesterday, Faith . I will have my next article posted after it is vetted. Saint Gertrude the Great, pray for us.
November 15 Article and Late Afternoon Announcement and Late Evening Update (see below)
Announcement: Bishop Robert L. Neville has confirmed that he is in full support of
Father Ramolla's priestly apostolate, and he has pledged to work with
Father now and into the future.
Justifying Glory Into Shame
No amount of personal protestation as to how the tragic events at Saint Gertrude the Great Church fills one's heart and soul with distress and anguish can even begin to describe the depths of sorrow that many of us feel at having to respond to efforts to misrepresent the truth and/or to minimize the nature of the scandals that have been permitted to fester for so long by His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada.
None of these scandals should ever have come to light. None of the bitterness and hard feelings and of the setting of former friends against each other in the harshest tones imaginable should ever have occurred. This all could have been avoided if Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada had taken the suffering of the sheep seriously and removed those whose actions would, truth be told, not be tolerated even in many former Catholic schools now under conciliar control. I would not have had to write this new article, which is a brief response to His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn's letter to a parishioner of Saint Gertrude the Great Church.
Obviously, this has all happened in God's Holy Providence. Father Louis Campbell, the pastor of Saint Jude Shrine in Houston, Texas, tells us in the sermon that he is to deliver tomorrow that it is not up to us to always understand the ways of God:
Many of us weep and mourn about the state of the world. “If God is a God of love,” we say, “how can He allow all this evil to exist? How can He allow us to be at the mercy of power hungry politicians and money grabbers? How can He allow illegal aliens and unwelcome visitors to overrun our country? Why these terrible events like 911 and Fort Hope? And how can God even allow His holy Church to be obscured, eclipsed, as Our Lady said at La Salette?
We get angry because things are not going the way we think they should. And when our minds are clouded by anger and resentment, we are even less capable of making correct judgments about the way the world is going. In effect, we are telling God that He is not doing a very good job, and that if only He allowed us to run the world things would go much better. We have much to learn.
In our pride we want to be God. Like our first parents, Adam and Eve, we want to be equal to God. And wasn’t it the proud angel of light, Lucifer, who rebelled against God, taking a great multitude of rebellious angels with him down into hell? We read in the Prophet Isaiah:
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, who didst rise in the morning? How art thou fallen to the earth, that didst wound the nations? And thou saidst in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the height of the clouds. I will be like the most High. But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit” (Is.14:12-15).
We will never be able to fully understand or fathom the will of God: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts: nor are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts” (Is.55:8,9).
When we contemplate the Divine Will we realize that there is, first of all, God’s sovereign will, which none can resist or change. Through the prophet Isaiah God says:
“So shall my word be, which shall go forth from my mouth. It shall not return to me void, but it shall do whatsoever I please and shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Is.55:11).
But there is also God’s permissive will. God, for His own reasons and purposes, permits evil and suffering. God wants us to freely choose to serve Him, and not to be forced into service, like slaves, or robots. This means that we can also choose not to serve, saying, like the devil, “I shall not serve.” He will not force us even if we choose offend Him through mortal sin. The result is that the world is filled with evil due to our sinfulness and that of the rebellious angels. In the end the world will be destroyed amid cataclysmic disaster and suffering, but those who have been obedient to God will have nothing to fear.
And although I have often quoted the following passage from the late Father Edward Leen's In The Likeness of Christ, it is worth doing so again in light of the tragic events unfolding before our very eyes at Saint Gertrude the Great Church:
In other words, it is the law of things as they actually are that we must continually suffer from others; it is the condition of our being that we shall be the victims of others' abuse of their free wills; it belongs to our position that our desires and inclinations should be continually thwarted and that we should be at the mercy of circumstances. And it is our duty to bear that without resentment and without rebellion. To rebel is to assert practically that such things are not our due, that they do not belong to our position. It is to refuse to recognize that we are fallen members of a fallen race. The moment we feel resentment at anything painful that happens to us through the activity of men or things, at that moment we are resentful against God's Providence.
We are in this really protesting against His eternal determination to create free beings; for these sufferings which we endure are a consequence of the carrying into effect of that free determination. If we expect or look for a mode of existence in which we shall not endure harshness, unkindness, misunderstanding, and injustice, we are actually rebelling against God's Providence, we are claiming a position that does not belong to us as creatures. This is to sin against humility. It is pride. (Father Edward Leen, In The Likeness of Christ; this quotation, which has survived various computer crashes, will be supplemented soon with page numbers as I have recently reacquired Father Leen's book. You can find almost any old and/or hard-to-find Catholic book on AbeBooks.)
This does not mean, of course, that we cannot pursue justice and expose wrongdoing. Not at all. It does mean that we must do so without malice, without vindictiveness and without using injustice and wrongdoing as excuses to wish ill for others.
None of us who are supporting Father Markus Ramolla's courageous defense of the suffering sheep at Saint Gertrude the Great Church bear any ill will for those responsible for this scandal. We have caused enough suffering for others in our own lives, if we are honest about ourselves.
No, those of us who are supporting Father Ramolla simply want a pattern of blaming the sheep for the problems they bring to their shepherds' attention to stop so that the hard work and sacrifice of so many ordinary Catholics that made possible the building and operation of Saint Gertrude the Great Church will not be lost forever as the glories of this parish are tarnished by the shame of the present moment.
Please continue to pray for all involved in this tragedy.
For the Mass time and site of Father Ramolla's Sunday Mass today, please see Saint Gertrude the Great Information.
Our motor home is still not fully repaired. More penance to be given to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. There should be, therefore, another article by tomorrow, November 16, 2009, the Feast of Saint Gertrude the Great.
Finally, I ask your prayers for the repose of the soul of Mr. Stan Trahan, a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mr. Stan Trahan. It was in connection with Mr. Trahan and his wife, Elma, that I wrote the following about six months ago now:
One of the Catholics who attended my talk, Part 1 of Sketching the Errors of Modernity and Modernism, on Saturday evening, February 7, 2009, was, Father Francis informed me recently, visited by two officials of the Diocese of Lafayette, who implored her to "obey" "Bishop" Michael Jarrell's edict concerning Christ the King Church. The woman held up her hand to stop the brainwashing session, saying that she worships at a church now where she sees Christ the King enthroned on an altar of sacrifice. "When I enter your church," the woman said, "I see a man enthroned on a chair. Your tabernacle which contains what you think is the Real Presence of Our Lord is nowhere to be found. God is the center of the worship where I pray as Catholics prayed for centuries. You are the center of the worship in your false religion."
The woman's husband, who is, evidently, a man of few words, piped up and said, "I know that when I go to Confession now that my sins are forgiven. I have a confessor who listens to me, who understands that sin is sin and who does not tell me to go 'easy' on myself or who tries to explain away my sins as nothing more than feelings of misplaced guilt." The two diocesan officials simply walked out of the house. They thought that the "obedience card" to their false religion that is the incarnation of the Modernism condemned by Pope Saint Pius X in Pascendi Dominici Gregis, September 8, 1907, could trump an understanding for and love of the Holy Faith as It has been transmitted down to us under the direct and infallible guidance of God the Holy Ghost from the time of the Apostles to the death of the last true pope thus far, Pope Pius XII, who died on October 9, 1958. They were wrong.
We hereby express our deepest condolences to Mrs. Elma Trahan and her family upon the death of her husband. I ask readers of this site to keep the happy repose of Mr. Trahan's immortal soul in your prayers and to have Masses said for that intention. Mr. Trahan's Requiem Mass will be offered by Father Francis Miller, O.F.M., at Christ the King Church, 510 N.W. Evangeline Thruway, Lafayette, Louisiana, at 9:45 a.m. on Monday November 16, 2009. It was our intention to be present at this Requiem Mass. Our motor home's continued problems will prevent us from being there.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Late evening update: There will be an article on this site at some point tomorrow to respond to Bishop Daniel Dolan's distortion of all truth in his bitter denunciation of Father Markus Ramolla that he delivered in a sermon entitled "Apology" this morning at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. You have to hunt for this sermon on the Sermons page of the Saint Gertrude the Great Church website. A milder form of this sermon is posted on the home page of the parish's website. We had heard that Bishop Dolan had denounced Father Ramolla by name from the pulpit. It was not until a former parishioner of Saint Gertrude the Great Church, considered an "apostate" now by longtime supporters of Bishop Dolan, alerted me that the "red meat" sermon we had heard about this morning was posted on the Sermons page.
Father Ramolla offered his Mass today for the conversion of Bishop Dolan, for whose person Father Ramolla begged the people assisting at his Mass today to respect no matter the bishop's denunciation of him. That Mass intention was certainly prophetic in light of the horrific, self-serving sermon of Bishop Dolan that minimizes the evils he has indemnified that have cost the Faith in the souls of many of his own parishioners over the years. May God have mercy on us all.
November 13 Update
Well, we are stuck in a parking lot, having been reunited with our motor home, which has come back to us with a problem that it did not have before and that the repair shop did not think was worth repairing: an exhaust manifold leak. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and, and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.
There will be another posted tomorrow, Saturday, November 14, 2009, the Feast of Saint Josaphat. We are not going to get very far in our journeys today, it appears.
It is my sad duty at this point, acting upon advice given me by a member of the clergy who vetted Sanctimony Won't Work This Time, to report that I received a telephone call around 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, Friday, November 13, 2009, from Dr. Mary Ann Wozny, a veterinary kinesiologist, to inform me that I had "crossed the line" and was trying to "destroy" Saint Gertrude the Great Church. She said that she was going to start a website entitled "Cash or Chaos" to "expose" me, telling me to "stop" or suffer the consequences. While I will certainly link to this website once it is started so that readers can judge for themselves the accuracy of the information placed thereon, I will not be intimidated or deterred in any way from defending the truth.
Shoot the messenger, if you want, Dr. Mary Ann. The message does not depend upon the messenger. And no amount of threats or intimidation will deter me from defending the courageous actions taking by Father Markus Ramolla, who has been subject to the most vile form of persecution by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada, including the revocation of his work visa before they fired him last week.
This is tragic as it was Dr. Wozny who told us, almost night after night in the months of May and June of this year, of the problems that existed at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. She told me that I had a responsibility to approach His Excellency Bishop Daniel L. Dolan privately about these serious matters. She had our souls in great distress over the information she gave us. Dr. Wozny, who was held in high esteem by Bishop Dolan, was also in close contact with Father Markus Ramolla during this same period.
Although there is much that could be written at this point, suffice it to say that for now that the people who are responsible for the destruction of the reputation of Saint Gertrude the Great Church are Bishop Daniel Dolan and Father Anthony Cekada, both of whom have been stonewalling parishioners who have brought them their heartfelt concerns about pastoral matters for over two decades now. Father Ramolla makes this clear in his new letter to Bishop Dolan, Father Ramolla to Bishop Dolan.
I will have another commentary on this tragic tale of self-destruction and shooting the messengers at some point tomorrow, the Feast of Saint Josaphat.
Let us pray for all involved, forgiving all injuries and threats as Our Lord forgives us in the Sacred Tribunal of Penance. Our Lady of Mercy, pray for us.
Finally, there is an excellent response to a letter sent out by His Excellency Bishop Donald J. Sanborn that seeks to minimize the problems at Saint Gertrude the Great Church. The letter, written by a former parishioner of Saint Gertrude's, can be found on the home page of Saint Gertrude the Great Information. It will be incorporated into the body of an article that I am writing at this time but will not be posted until after it is vetted.
November 12 Article and Late Evening Update, including an open Letter from Father Markus Ramolla to the parishioners of Saint Gertrude the Great Church
Implementing Obamadict's New World Order
Another late hour. We have much driving to do in the next few days if we can, after three long and very penitential weeks, return to our motor home this evening.
This very brief article is yet another treatment of ObamaCare. It is short. It should not take too much of your time. Viva Cristo Rey!
I also want to thank those of you who have sent us non-tax-deductible financial gifts in the past three weeks. While we are not out of the woods entirely, the generosity of those who have helped us is greatly appreciated. It is nice to know that even though many people resent the fact that I make requests for these non-tax-deductible financial gifts, there are some wonderful, thoughtful and generous people who do indeed appreciate the work that goes into these articles and who have the means to be of assistance to us. Thank you so very much.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There will be a gap of several days before the next article, which will be the two hundredth to be posted on this site in calendar year 2009, can be written and posted. We have a lot of driving, the last long distance trip that we intend to take for a very long time, to complete in the next few days. Please pray for us.
Late-evening update: No, we don't have our motor home back yet. It looks as though tomorrow will be the day of the happy reunion with our home on wheels. As this has been a very busy day, I have not had time to write a new article. It is likely to be the case that the next original article on this site will appear on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, although there is a little bit of a window for one to get posted by Saturday, November 14, 2009.
I do want to inform readers of this site that Father Markus Ramolla has posted a new open letter to the parishioners of Saint Gertrude the Great School concerning the conditions under which he expected to operate as its principal before he was fired (and his work visa revoked) prior to his ever assuming those formal duties. Please do read this most informative letter, which provides facts not provided in Sanctimony Won't Work This Time. Please read Father Ramolla's new open letter at the ever-informative Saint Gertrude the Great Information. Please keep praying for Father Ramolla, who is acting under the direction of true members of the clergy, and for all involved in this terrible tragedy that, as I have been learning in recent days as a result of some truly heartfelt notes that have been sent to me, has been decades in the making as abuse of clerical authority has gone unchecked, even causing some Catholics to lose the Faith. Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us!

Killing In The Name of The Religion of Peace
As you might imagine, I am pretty thoroughly exhausted from the events of the past few weeks and from trying to keep up with my writing. The article that I posted on Sunday (two were posted yesterday) was not an easy one to write and I took no glee in having to post it. Indeed, I am still very saddened by having to do so. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.
This article is a brief reflection on the massacre that took place at Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, November 5, 2009. We must pray for the victims of this Mohammedan terrorist attack as we attempt to make reparation for our sins and those of the whole world, offering whatever merit we might earn for our acts of reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, especially by praying as many Rosaries each day as our states-in-life permit. We must pray for the conversion of men and their nations, including our own nation, to the Catholic Faith as we seek to fulfill Our Lady's Fatima Message as far as we can in our own lives every day.
Readers will discover that I have restored a link to The Four Marks newspaper I have communicated to Mrs. Kathleen Plumb my sincere apologies over the disagreement that took place that prompted me to remove the link and to sever my own relationship with the newspaper. Once again, I was wrong to have done so. God does give us length of years so that we might learn a few things. I have made sins and errors for which to make reparation! Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
There should be a new article posted by tomorrow, November 12, 2009. It will deal with ObamaCare once again.
November 10 Articles (including on the transfer of disaffected Anglicans from one part of the One World Church to another)
Always Coming to the Rescue
Although it is frequently the case that those of us who make no concessions to conciliarism are the best recruiting agents for Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's counterfeit church of conciliarism by means of our bad behavior and by means of our mistakes that scandalize so many, we should never doubt that the conciliar church is indeed counterfeit. Coming to the rescue in this regard is the former conciliar "archbishop" of Galveston-Houston, Joseph Fiorenza, who wrote an article on October 28, 2009, to praise the "Second" Vatican Council's Nostra Aetate, contending that the Mosaic Covenant was never superseded.
Never doubt that the counterfeit church of conciliarism is the work of the adversary, a fact that is explored in Still Defaming The English Martyrs, a very article that deals with the "apostolic constitution" issued by Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI on the amalgamation of disaffected Anglicans into the structures of his own false church. The terms of the "constitution" permit, as I explained in Defaming The English Martyrs, the Anglicans to keep their "liturgical traditions" against which thousands upon thousands of Catholics gave up their lives rather than to recognize as legitimate. Yes, my friends, we can always count on the conciliarists to come to the rescue to give us a "reality check" when things look bleak in the underground church. This is what I explain, if ever so briefly, in Still Defaming The English Martyrs.
Articles in the next two days will cover the Fort Hood massacre by a devoted follower of Mohammedanism and the progress being made by ObamaCare's institutionalizing socialized medicine. No end to the work.
Finally, I have, of course, gotten all kinds of notes, many thoughtful and kind, some rather hostile, in the wake of the article posted yesteday. I remind one and all that we must pray for each other in difficulties of this sort, remembering that nothing anyone does to us or says about us is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred Humanity on the wood of the Holy Cross and caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through the with those Seven Swords of Sorrow.
While we may disagree with others, sometimes with great vigor, we must always remember that we must bear malice toward no one. No one is ever permitted to carry a grudge at any time for any reason about anything. We must accept all that happens to us as within the Providence of God and coming from His very hand so that we can grow in sanctity. This does not mean that we cannot pursue justice when necessary, doing so, of course, without vengeance, remembering that it might not be until the revelation of the intentions of all hearts and the circumstances of all lives on the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead that we will be fully reconciled to those from whom circumstances or perceptions, some of them most mistaken, estrange us in this passing, mortal vale of tears. Let us pray for each other especially in the midst of divisions and conflicts. Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us.

Sanctimony Won't Work This Time
His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan has delivered a sermon this morning that seeks to wrap himself up yet again the garment of sanctimonious righteousness, portraying himself as the "victim" of "calumnies" committed against him. This is not the first time that His Excellency has played "mind games" with his faithful as he refuses to admit that any of the problems at Saint Gertrude the Great Church are at all the result of his indemnification of the poor decisions made over and over again by Father Anthony Cekada. Bishop Dolan seems to be incapable of admitting that his critics are actually his best friends as they are trying to help him to rectify longstanding patterns of stonewalling parishioners who have brought to him their legitimate complaints. It is Father Markus Ramolla who has been victimized here, not Bishop Dolan. It is not calumnious to speak the truth. This is all that Father Ramolla has done. Nothing more, nothing less.
This article is unsparing in its discussion of the long history of abuse of clerical authority at Saint Gertrude the Great Church about which many of us have been silent for far too long. This article, although strongly worded, is written in true Charity to help those who have abuse their authority and sought to silence and intimidate critics in a manner that would make the thugs in a lot of Novus Ordo chancery offices quite proud to see the errors of their ways and to repent.
Articles of this sort are not written for the sake of popularity or donations. It pains me greatly to have to write this article, which took all day yesterday and part of the day to compose. It is necessary, to quote Father Ramolla, to speak truth to power, doing so without malice and without any spirit of vindictiveness whatsoever.
Many readers, steeped in the sappy sentimentality of naturalism, will be horrified by the strength of the wording of this article. Please review my article,
Putting Love of God Above All Else about Saint Jerome, who gave as good as he got. I am sure this messenger will be "shot" figuratively with a ferocity that will make the wording of this new article pale by way of comparison. I am sure those who do this figurative "shooting" will be withering in their direct, personal attacks upon me. Deo gratias!
Bishop Dolan misrepresented the truth in a letter he sent around the world two days ago now, Friday, November 6, 2009. This misrepresentation cannot be allowed to stand. The possession of the fullness of the priesthood does not give one license to abuse his episcopal powers to misrepresent the truth as he continues a lifelong process of seeking to intimidate and browbeat critics, wrapping himself up in the mantle of sanctimonious righteousness. I am sorry. As much we have--and will always have--gratitude to Bishop Dolan for all that he has taught us and has done for us, the use of sanctimony to justify the character assassination of a brave priest, no less to attempt to portray himself as the victim in this matter, is cowardly and beneath contempt
This article has been reviewed and approved by Father Ramolla and by other members of the clergy.
Let us entrust this all to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I look forward to getting back to other writing tomorrow or by Tuesday! This is not the sort of article to give one a lot of "vim and vigor," shall we say.
Father Ramolla Mass Update: Once again, for those in the Cincinnati area seeking a refuge away from Saint Gertrude the Great Church, Father Markus Ramolla will be offering Holy Mass tomorrow, the Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost and the Octave of All Saints' Day, at 1:00 p.m. at 6397 Holloway Drive, Liberty Township, Ohio. Confessions will be heard before and during Holy Mass. Father Ramolla will also be offering Holy Mass in Urbana, Ohio, at 5:00 p.m. New Mass centers are thus springing up in the Cincinnati and Columbus areas. Deo gratias!
You may read an excerpt from Father Ramolla's sermon from this afternoon at the excellent new website, Saint Gertrude Information. Father Ramolla will be offering Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, Monday, May 9, 2009, the Feast of the Dedication of Saint John Lateran, at 6397 Holloway Drive, Liberty Township, Ohio.
November 7 Updates
We are very tired from four days of driving in the TrailBlazer, having been reunited, if ever so fleetingly, with the motor home in Ohio yesterday to retrieve some items. We hope that the repairs will be completed by Wednesday, at which point we will travel back south for the winter.
A lot of "fan" mail was sent while we were on the road yesterday. While I will address the issues raised by Father Markus Ramolla in his letter to His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan, who has, I am informed, issued a letter of his own that will be discussed in my next article, I am hereby, at Father Ramolla's request, posting an audio version of his farewell letter to the faithful of Saint Gertrude the Great Church. Please listen to. Father Ramolla's Farewell. My own commentary on this sad turn of events will be published tomorrow or morning. I am sending the article out for review before it is posted, at which point I can get back to discussing current events and Joseph Ratzinger's One World Church.
Evening Update: For those in the Cincinnati area seeking a refuge away from Saint Gertrude the Great Church, Father Markus Ramolla will be offering Holy Mass tomorrow, the Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost and the Octave of All Saints' Day, at 1:00 p.m. at
6397 Holloway Drive, Liberty Township, Ohio. Confessions will be heard before and during Holy Mass.

November 6 Article and Mid-Morning Update
Unhappy Is The "Happy" "Bishop"
It is approaching 2:00 a.m., Eastern time, on the First Friday in the month of November. Even though we drove about four hundred seventy miles yesterday, arriving at a motel around 10:00 p.m., I decided to write and complete this article as I did not know if time could be found later today to do so. More driving is in store for us.
All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls! Oh, the article, you ask? Read it for yourselves. I am going to get a few hours of sleep. Thank you.
Mid-morning update: Although we are on the road, soon to pay a visit to our motor home in the repair shop, Father Markus Ramolla, who has tried, as we have, to bring various problems extant at Saint Gertrude the Great Church to the attention of His Excellency Bishop Daniel Dolan on a private basis, has asked me to publish a letter that he has written to His Excellency and to the faithful of Saint Gertrude the Great Church.
I have tried to keep my own peace on these matters in the hope that needed changes at Saint Gertrude the Great Church would be made so that the honor and glory given to God there would be not be stained by the arbitrary treatment of those who have attempted to remonstrate, privately and repeatedly, with their pastors over most grave matters. Please be assured that I continue to abhor the use of "chat rooms" to discuss these matters and to speculate, in full violation of the Eighth Commandment, about the moral lives of clerics. Such speculation is unwarranted and must be condemned.
This having been noted, however, the treatment accorded to Father Ramolla by Bishop Dolan and Father Cekada, which those who are aware of what has been happening can see is alluded to in Unhappy Is The "Happy" "Bishop" not so indirectly, requires the sort of public remonstration with one's clerics according to the teaching of Saint Thomas Aquinas:
"It must be observed, however, that if the faith were endangered, a subject ought to rebuke his prelate even publicly.
"Article 2: Fraternal correction is a matter of obligation (precept) out of charity for the sinner. And if the order of fraternal correction has been observed (beginning with private admonitions until there is no other recourse for the sake of the faith than to publicly proclaim the prelate), to do so for the sake of the faith can be meritorious."
Yes, I did not believe that it was appropriate last year to remonstrate publicly with Bishop Dolan as efforts to contact him publicly prior to the publication of a certain commentary had not been made. As numerous and repeated entreaties made by a priest and by lay people have now placed a priest, Father Markus Ramolla, in jeopardy of having his reputation damaged as has happened to "whistle-blower" priests in the Novus Ordo structures, I hereby publish, at Father Ramolla's request, and express my full support of Father Ramolla's letter to Bishop Dolan and his farewell to the faithful of Saint Gertrude's.
This is done with great sadness. We have great love for Bishop Dolan and are very grateful to him for all that he has done for us. Truth is not a respecter of persons, however, and we hereby express our full support for Father Ramolla and stand ready to assist him in any way. A priest had to be the one to bring this matter to light. God bless Father Ramolla for his courage in doing so.

As The Blood of the Innocent Continues to be Shed
Another short article, this one dealing with the results of the November 3, 2009, off-off-year elections.
We continue to be displaced from the motor home. The insurance company just yesterday authorized the repairs to commence. It took a lot of doing to get this done. I will write it all up in the next travelogue, which will be completed upon our taking possession of our home on wheels, which has been reposing (or decomposing) in a shop in Ohio for thirteen days now, sometime late next week. Until that time, however, we are bearing our crosses with gratitude and joy. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.
Finally, as we are indeed on the road a lot right now, I want to refer readers to two articles that I have written concerning the "negotiations" between the representatives Society of Saint Pius X and representatives of the counterfeit church of conciliarism: Negotiating To Become An Apostate and
If I Were King of the Forest. I will have another commentary on this farce soon. (I also ask correspondents to be patient with me. I am behind in my responses to e-mails. Thank you. And I am paying no attention at all to the impending triumph of evil in the Bronx.)
November 3 Article and Late Evening Update
Dark Days Are Upon Us Once Again
A very short article. The hour is late. We must get on the road tomorrow to find out what is happening with our motor home, which remains in a state of limbo at this time. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls.
There will be another commentary on the amalgamation of disaffected Anglicans into the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism once Ratzinger/Benedict's "apostolic constitution" is released later this week or next week. It is interesting, however, that several conciliar officials are going to great lengths to reassure members of the "worldwide Anglican Communion" who want to remain right where they are in their false religion that the new structures designed to accommodate their disaffected brethren does not mean that they have to convert to what they think, albeit erroneously, is the Catholic Church.
Late evening update: Our displacement continues. It is possible that we might have some word on the motor home's fate tomorrow. In the meantime, of course, we must give this all to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. There should be a post-2009 off-off year election commentary by Thursday morning, November 5, 2009. Please continue to pray for us. And we continue to thank--and to pray for-those who have assisted us in the past two weeks with non-tax-deductible financial gifts.

Apostasy: A Model of Reconciliation
Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI's efforts to forge "reconciliations" at the price of truth (see also Defaming The English Martyrs) is certainly bearing fruit. Unfortunately for the false "pontiff," however, the fruit is most rotten. Ratzinger/Benedict's outreach to the Red Chinese Communist authorities to effect a "reconciliation" between underground Catholics there and the rump Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association is forcing underground bishops to violate their consciences and to register with the Chicom authorities. Yes, just as Ratzinger/Benedict has contempt for the sacrifices made by the English Martyrs to resist the doctrines of practices of the Anglican sect that he, Ratzinger/Benedict, accepts as legitimate "traditions" worthy of respect and protection in the structures of his counterfeit church of conciliarism, so does he, the apostle of the toleration of error and blasphemy and sacrilege, have contempt for the sacrifices made by the Catholic martyrs of Red China. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
There should be new articles on each of the next two days before we have to drive back to the Midwest to discover the disposition of our motor home. Continue to pray for us. Thank you.
Let us be generous to the Poor Souls today and every day during this month of November. I will endeavor to type up the text of a thirty-day Novena for the needs of Poor Souls at some point during the coming week.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
November 1-2 Revised Article
Revised: Suffering Is The Only Path to Triumph
Our one and only goal in this life is to get home to Heaven by dying in a state of Sanctifying Grace as a member of the Catholic Church. Absolutely nothing else matters. The path to Heaven runs through the Cross of our Divine Redeemer, Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as we consecrate ourselves to Him totally through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother. We must embrace suffering and humiliation and hardship with equanimity, joy and gratitude, mindful of the fact that Our Lady desires use whatever merits we earn from our embrace of our sufferings for the honor and glory of the Most Blessed Trinity and for the good of souls, especially the Poor Souls in the Church Suffering in Purgatory, whose intentions we must remember every day and especially during this month of November. There is no other path to the triumph of the empty tomb other than the suffering of the Cross.
We must also forgive right readily those who have offended us in any way and to ask forgiveness from those whom we have offended, whether advertently or inadvertently. Nothing anyone does to us or says about us is the equal of what one of our least Venial Sins caused Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to suffer in His Sacred Humanity during his Passion and Death and that caused His Most Blessed Mother's Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart to be pierced through and through with Seven Swords of Sorrow.
We must continue to pray for each other on a daily basis, praying especially that the disagreements of the present moment in this time of apostasy and betrayal will be washed away by the merits of the Most Precious Blood of Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and by the maternal intercession of His Most Blessed Mother. If we want to be in Heaven for all eternity, you see, in the presence of the Most Blessed Trinity, Our Lady, Saint Joseph and all of the angels of the saints, then it is a pretty good idea to pray for everyone whom God's Providence has placed in our paths, hoping that those from whom we might be estranged at the present time, especially because of the divisions among Catholics created by conciliarism and its apostasies, will be united with us for all eternity in the glories of Heaven, please God that each of us dies in a state of Sanctifying Grace.
One of ways in which we can practice true Charity is to remember the Poor Souls every day in our prayers. Terrible, terrible sinner that I am, one of my devotions has long been to the Poor Souls. To help the Poor Souls repay the debt that they can no longer pay for themselves is to acquire friends for eternity who will help us at the moment of our own deaths. Charity to the Poor Souls can help to undo our own uncharity to others in this passing, mortal vale of tears. Although the Commemoration of All Souls this year is transferred to Monday, November 3, 2008, this is indeed the month of the Poor Souls. Let us show them our due attention each and every day of the year, especially in this month of November.
Remember, of course, that
from noon today on All Saints' Day through midnight of the Commemoration of All Souls tomorrow the Catholic faithful, as often as they visit a church or Catholic cemetery to pray for the dead, reciting six times during each visit the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be for the intentions of Holy Mother Church may gain a plenary indulgence applicable only to the souls in Purgatory, under the usual conditions of making a good Confession within a week before or after, worthily receiving Holy Communion within the week and having the right intention of heart. This is called the Toties Quoties Indulgence
We want to thank those of you who have responded so generously to the appeals that I have made for assistance during our continued displacement from the motor home. Friends of ours in Ohio informed us of several generous donations that we were waiting in our post office box. We thank everyone who has donated to us online and those who have sent non-tax-deductible financial gifts via the snail mail. We pray for our benefactors every day without fail at Holy Mass, in our daily Rosaries and in our nightly Novena to Saint John Bosco.
Even though we are displaced from our motor home and are experiencing expenses that we did not anticipate, we are happy to be back East again. It is simply wonderful to be with old friends and to assist at Holy Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel. Lucy had a grand time at the All Saints' Day party on Friday afternoon with her former schoolmates. Oh, for a gazillion dollars to live in Connecticut! As always, of course, fiat voluntas tua--Thy Will be done.
It was also nice to visit once again with our friends in Rhode Island yesterday after assisting at Holy Mass offered by Father Benedict Hughes (who, zealous pastor of souls that he is, had flown back to the inland Pacific northwest after offering the Requiem Mass for the late Judge Robert J. McOsker on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, returning to New England on Friday, October 30, 2009, to offer Holy Mass in Warwick, Rhode Island, yesterday, and in Stoneham, Massachusetts, and Hallowell, Maine, today, All Saints' Day). Mrs. Joanne McOsker, who is indefatigable, also taped two more programs for public access television in which I discussed the business of the amalgamation of conservative Anglicans into the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism.
A blessed All Saints' Day to you all.
A new article should appear tomorrow, November 2, 2009, the Commemoration of All Souls. I don't know if I can match the output of September (twenty-five articles) or of October (twenty-two articles) during this current month. I will try, however, to write as many articles as our time and circumstances and my own physical strength permit.
October 31 Article
So Rare to Find a Champion of Christ the King
This very brief article is a reminder that all of the evils being fomented by the current presidential administration are, of course, the result of the overthrow of the Social Reign of Christ the King wrought by the Protestant Revolt and the rise of Judeo-Masonry and its assortment of naturalistic philosophies and ideologies. We will be forever spinning our wheels as long as we think that we fight naturalism with naturalism. Catholicism is the one and only foundation of personal and social order.
It is rare to find a champion of Christ the King today as a result of the effects of the false ideas of Modernity and the heresies of Modernism. This article discusses, ever so briefly, the life of one of those champions, the late Judge Robert J. McOsker, a devoted son of Our Lady and her Most Holy Rosary. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
We are going to continue to need assistance to meet out of pocket expenses associated with our being dispossessed from the motor home. Work on our home on wheels will not begin until Tuesday of this coming week, at the earliest. Anything you can do to help us at this time would be greatly appreciated.
I learned yesterday that some readers have complained to a third party about these fundraising appeals. Some resent the fact that they are made at all. Others believe that I am "scolding" those who do not give. This is truly a no-win proposition.
While, yes, I have expressed disappointment at the level of support for the work of this site, I have always qualified that disappointment by stating that I accept everything as coming from the hand of God. I have tried, perhaps imperfectly and replete with a New Yorker's sardonic style at time, to remind readers that a lot of work goes into the writing of these articles and that it would be nice for those who have the means to provide non-tax-deductible gifts and who support the work of this site to make such modest gifts on a regular basis. Everything else is left for the Last Day at the General Judgment of the Living and the Dead.

Defaming The English Martyrs
As promised, here is my analysis of the initiative that Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XVI has undertaken to effect the amalgamation of disaffected Anglicans into the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. Those disaffected Anglicans will be able to keep many of their revered "traditions." Unfortunately for them and for their new benefactor, Ratzinger/Benedict, those "traditions" were the result of a fundamental rejection of the Catholic Faith against which scores of thousands of Catholics gave up their lives rather than acknowledge as coming from the hand of God. The witness of these brave English Martyrs has been defamed by a man willing to concede almost anything in the name of a false "unity" to advance the tenets of the heretical "new ecclesiology" of the counterfeit church of conciliarism. (This article has been approved by two different reviewers.) Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
We had the privilege of assisting at the Requiem Mass that Father Benedict Hughes, CMRI, offered yesterday at the Russell Boyle and Son Funeral Home in Warwick, Rhode Island, for the repose of the soul of the late +Judge Robert McOsker. Father Benedict gave a powerful sermon. Father Joseph Collins and two of the Sisters from the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen added splendor to the Requiem Mass with their singing. It is amazing to behold the Providence of God that we were able to be present at this Mass despite all that has happened to us in the past week. As Lucy added after the burial, Yes, Dad, the Providence of God was made manifest to us right here in Providence, Rhode Island." (She comes up with these things all on her very own by means of Our Lady's graces.)
We are likely to be without our motor home for quite some time. Please continue to pray for us as we seek to give all of the difficulties of the present time to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. All to thee, Blessed Mother. All to thy Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we love you. Save souls!
