A Pictorial Essay, part 2

by Thomas A. Droleskey

Well, here are a few photographs to accompany It's Still Better This than Purgatory (or Worse!), part 2. Most of these photographs were taken by my dear wife, Sharon Droleskey. (Some of the first photographs here were overlooked in the first part of this pictorial essay.)

See this fellow? He would have been far more useful at the plate than Carlos Beltran was against Adam Wainwright shortly after Midnight on October 20, 2006, when he struck out looking with the tying run in scoring position in the seventh and deciding game of the National League Championship Series against the St. Louis Cardinals at William A. Shea Municipal Stadium, Flushing Meadows, New York. No, I don't go to games. No, I don't watch games. No, I don't even listen to the games. I do keep informed as to what is going on, and all I will say is that Mister Met, the official mascot of the Mets, as opposed to a former unofficial mascot who wore a white hat and black mask in his season seat, would have done better at the plate than Carlos Beltran did on that early morning of Friday, October 20, 2006. You see, Mister Met would have at least swung the bat on an 0-2 count.

I hope that you have enjoyed this pictorial essay.

All to you, Blessed Mother. All to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you! Save souls!
