Jorge's Band of Theological Racketeers Legitimize Paul Ehrlich

There are few things in this world of utter madness, itself the product of the Protestant and Judeo-Masonic revolution against the Social Reign of Christ the King and His Holy Catholic Churh, that are in the least bit surprising, no, not even the fact that the notorious population-control fascist named Dr. Paul Ehrlich, who appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson ten times between 1970 and 1981 to promote his anti-population, pro-abortion, pro-sterilization scare tactics, has been invited to speak at a conference sponsored by the forces who operate behind the walls of the Occupied Vatican on the West Bank of the Tiber River:

VATICAN CITY, January 12, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The Vatican has invited the undisputed father of the modern, pro-abortion population control movement to present a paper at an upcoming Vatican-run conference.

Dr. Paul Ehrlich, author of the 1968 bestseller The Population Bomb is scheduled to speak in Vatican City during the February 27-March 1 conference that will discuss “how to save the natural world.” The Stanford biologist champions sex-selective abortion as well as mass forced sterilization as legitimate methods to curb population growth.

In his 1968 book, Ehrlich went so far as to defend forced abortion, writing: “Indeed, it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society.”

Titled Biological Extinction, the February conference will address what Vatican organizers call an unsustainable “imbalance” between the world’s population and what the earth is capable of producing. The event is jointly sponsored by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

Organizers of the Vatican-run conference predict that if effective steps are not taken to reverse so-called man-made “global climate change,” then up to 40 percent of “all biodiversity on Earth” will be destroyed “by the end of this century,” including a “majority” of species of plants.

“[T]here is no possibility of improving our situation without the widespread adoption of social justice, both as a matter of morality and as a matter of survival,” the event brochure put out by the Vatican states.

With the invitation of Ehrlich to address the conference, how the Pontifical Academies understand “social justice” takes on a sinister aspect.

In The Population Bomb, Ehrlich forecasted “an utter breakdown in the capacity of the planet to support humanity” that would result in starvation for hundreds of millions, predictions that have proved to be false while his theories have been debunked. The biologist predicted in 1968 that half of Americans would die by 1990. India and China would simply die out. By the year 2000, England would also cease to exist. Ehrlic mentioned in his book sex-selection abortion as a potentially effective tool for conserving the world’s resources by reducing population, a position he continues to defend.

In a 2011 interview with Mara Hvistendahl, Ehrlich defended sex-selection abortion, stating that “it would be a good idea to let people have their choice so that they could have fewer children and could have what they wanted,” adding that a sex-selection abortion and possibly even infanticide might be a better fate for females than what awaited them in an overpopulated world.

“You can be aborted as a conceptus, you can be killed at birth, or you can be sold into slavery and die in a slum someplace,” he said. “It would be interesting to know how many females you’re keeping out of hideous situations [when they are not] killed or infanticided.”

In the same interview, Ehrlich also defended the principle behind mass forced sterilization, a concept mentioned in a 1977 book he co-authored titled Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, suggesting that mass sterilization working in tandem with sex-selection technology would be particularly effective for population control interests.

Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, criticized the Vatican’s choice of Ehrlich as a suitable speaker.

“Ehrlich’s opinions on biological extinction rates are just as exaggerated as his failed predictions of a human population explosion. Why the Vatican should be giving a platform to this secular prophet of doom is beyond me,” he told LifeSiteNews.

“There are plenty of credible Catholic scientists around whose fact-based opinions should be highlighted by their Church. What's next? Inviting Raúl Castro to speak on human rights?” he added.  (Pro-Abortion Population Bomb Author to Speak at Vatican Conference on Biological Extinction.)

Steven Mosher, who was denied his doctorate by Stanford University because he had discovered Red China's forced abortion policy, is the best-informed Catholic expert on the genuine population research, and his comment about Raul Castro being invited to speak on "human rights" at the Vatican is more of a possibility than he may think or want to accept.

The conciliar sect does not believe that in the God will provide for the temporal needs of His rational creatures. In other words, the conciliar revolutionaries do not believe in Providence of God. They are pagans, which is why all all of the consternation by "conservative" and "traditionally-minded" Catholics who are attached to the structures of the counterfeit church of conciliarism in the mistaken belief that they represent the Catholic Church is really a case of near-sightedness worthy of Mister Magoo himself. The conciliar revolutionaries have surrendered entirely to the Judeo-Masonic One World Order that worked mightily behind the scenes for decades to bring it into existence.

Exercising Influence in the White House and the Occupied Vatican on the West Bank of the Tiber River

Led by the Ecomaniac named Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the counterfeit church of conciliarism has indemnified every single pro-abortion and pro-perversity statist in public life today, including, of course, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, because they are committed to the globalist agenda of "income equality," "sustainable development (see Dance, Dance, Eco Jorge part oneDance, Dance, Eco Jorge, part two and ) and, among other things, open borders in order to secure special rights for illegal immigrants and Mohammedan "refugees." It is thus very much part of the overall conciliar agenda to invite Paul Ehrlich, whose 1968 Malthusian book, Population Bomb, influenced policies of President Lyndon Baines Johnson and certainly contributed to creating an environment wherein President Richard Milhous Nixon's National Security Adviser, Dr. Henry Alfred Kissinger, who had been drinking from the money trough of the population-controlling Rockefeller Foundation, could help to advance an aggressive policy of government-sponsored and funded population control programs.

Nixon, for example, embarked on an aggressive campaign of "population control." His first Secretary of State, William Pierce Rogers, who had been the Attorney General of the United States of America from October 13, 1957, to January 20, 1961, was responsible for implementing President Richard Milhous Nixon's July 18, 1969, Special Message to Congress on the Problems of Population Growth. Nixon's special message contained the following passage that should send shivers up the spine of any believing Catholic who loves God as He has revealed Himself to men exclusively through the Catholic Church as a very clear indication of the extent to which the leaders of both organized crime families of naturalism in the United States of America, have been committed to anti-life and anti-family policies that mock God and lead to social and international chaos:

It is my view that no American woman should be denied access to family planning assistance because of her economic condition. I believe, therefore, that we should establish as a national goal the provision of adequate family planning services within the next five years to all those who want them but cannot afford them. This we have the capacity to do.

Clearly, in no circumstances will the activities associated with our pursuit of this goal be allowed to infringe upon the religious convictions or personal wishes and freedom of any individual, nor will they be allowed to impair the absolute right of all individuals to have such matters of conscience respected by public authorities.

In order to achieve this national goal, we will have to increase the amount we are spending on population and family planning. But success in this endeavor will not result from higher expenditures alone. Because the life circumstances and family planning wishes of those who receive services vary considerably, an effective program must be more flexible in its design than are many present efforts. In addition, programs should be better coordinated and more effectively administered. Under current legislation, a comprehensive State or local project must assemble a patchwork of funds from many different sources--a time-consuming and confusing process. Moreover, under existing legislation, requests for funds for family planning services must often compete with requests for other deserving health endeavors. (Special Message to Congress on the Problems of Population Growth.)

In other words, Nixon did not want the government to force religiously run institutions to adopt policies to their beliefs. He only wanted every American taxpayer, regardless of religious convictions, to fund the evil of "family planning, and it as the United States Secretary of State that Kissinger, who  succeeded Secretary of State William Pierce Rogers on September 3, 1973, authorized the writing of National Security Study Memorandum 200, which was issued on April 19, 1974, that was designed to implement a variety of the “population control” measures that had been recommended by the Rockefeller Commission, a panel appointed by President Nixon in 1969 following his own Special Message to Congress on July 18, 1969, on the “necessity” of controlling population growth. (See the Appendix below for Kissinger's cover letter to NSSM-200, followed by several excerpts from the memorandum itself. The material is found in a study prepared by a rabidly pro-abortion author. However, the study contains the actual documenation from the NSSM-200.)

This particular Memorandum, which was the brainchild of Nixon and Henry Kissinger and presidential counselor Donald D. Rumsfeld, included such draconian measures as encouraging countries to develop a one child per family policy and to regulate the control of food to developing nations. As a result of pressure brought by several conciliar "cardinals" this NSSM, which had been classified until 1989, was released to the public. In spite of this history, however, Kissinger was named by Joseph Alois Ratzinger/Benedict XVI as an adviser on foreign policy and political issues:

VATICAN CITY — Over the course of his long and controversial career, former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has had many titles. Now he reportedly has one more — adviser to the Pope.

According to the Italian newspaper La Stampa, Pope Benedict XVI has invited the 83-year-old former adviser to Richard Nixon to be a political consultant, and Kissinger has accepted.

Quoting an “authoritative” diplomatic source at the Holy See, the paper reported Nov. 4 that the Nobel laureate was asked at a recent private audience with the Holy Father to form part of a papal “advisory board” on foreign and political affairs.

As the Register went to press, Kissinger’s office was unable to confirm or deny the report. La Stampa stood by its story, although the Italian press is less rigorous in its authentication of stories as is the United States Press.

If true, there is speculation on which issues Kissinger would advise the Holy Father. Relations with Islam, Palestine and Israel, and Iraq — Kissinger has been critical of the conduct of the war but opposes a quick withdrawal — are likely to be high up on the agenda.

It has also been speculated that, in view of the Muslim hostility to Benedict’s recent Regensburg speech, Kissinger might provide advice on dealing with an increasingly fractious Islamic world.

Furthermore, like the Pope, Kissinger has analyzed the challenges of globalization and might provide advice in this area as well.

“The idea [of his appointment] sounds like a good one,” said veteran Vatican journalist Sandro Magister. “But so would it also be to consult other experts on geopolitics with different orientations.” (Kissinger To Become Political Adviser to Ratzinger.)

The news report cited above, which was written by Edmund Pentin for the National Catholic Register on November 22, 2006, also cited other pro-abortion world figures who had advised the conciliar Vatican on global issues:

Pope John Paul II was close friends with Zbigniew Brzezinski, the Polish-born national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, partly because both had a common Polish heritage (though this caused the Soviets to suspect the Vatican of “fixing” the election of Karol Wojtyla, which occurred during the Carter presidency).

Similarly to John Paul and Brzezinski, Benedict and Kissinger are close in age and were both born in Bavaria (a Jew, Kissinger and his family fled Nazi Germany before World War II).

In recent years, other figures invited to share their expertise with the Holy See have included Paul Wolfowitz, a former President Bush adviser and now president of the World Bank; Michel Camdessus, the former director of the International Monetary Fund; American economist Jeffrey Sachs and Hans Tietmeyer, former governor of Germany’s central bank.  (Kissinger To Become Political Adviser to Ratzinger.)

Yes, the reach of the Judeo-Masonic New World Order is vast. Support for sins that cry out to Heaven for vengeance is not a preemptive disqualification from advising the conciliar "popes," and it is, of course, an absolute prerequisite in the darkened corridors of political power in the United States of America and around the world.

Readers will find it interesting, therefore, to learn that Dr. Paul Ehrlich and his wife of sixty-two years, Anne Ehrlich, co-authorized a book, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, cited in the LifeSite News report with a man named Dr. John Holdren. Most of you reading this article may not have heard of Dr. John Holdren. However, supposed this "scientist" has been hard at work for the past ninety-four months serving as the Director of the White House Office for Science and Technology Policy under none other than the outgoing caesar, Barack Hussein Obama/Barry Soetoro, who will probably be issuing pardons and executive orders via his BlackBerry as he is driving down Pennsylvania Avenue with his succcessor, President-elect Donald John Trump on Friday, January 20, 2017.

John Holdren believes what Paul Ehrlich believes, and that those beliefs can be given any kind of expression by the conciliar revolutionaries is a sign of just how far into the abyss these hideous men have fallen as their boss, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, has shown the conciliar religion to be about the "saving of the planet," not the saving of souls.

The following report, which was published after Holdren was confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate (yes, including all forty-one Republicans serving in the 111th Congress) on March 19, 2009, should demonstrate to one and to all that the invitation extended to Paul Ehrlich legitimizes discredited claims shared by Obama/Soetoro's so-called "sciene czar" that are opposed to the laws of God and to the right ordering of men and their nations:

President Obama's "science czar," John Holdren, once floated the idea of forced abortions, "compulsory sterilization," and the creation of a "Planetary Regime" that would oversee human population levels and control all natural resources as a means of protecting the planet -- controversial ideas his critics say should have been brought up in his Senate confirmation hearings.

Holdren, who has degrees from MIT and Stanford and headed a science policy program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government for the past 13 years, won the unanimous approval of the Senate as the president's chief science adviser.

He was confirmed with little fanfare on March 19 as director of the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy, a 50-person directorate that advises the president on scientific affairs, focusing on energy independence and global warming.

But many of Holdren's radical ideas on population control were not brought up at his confirmation hearings; it appears that the senators who scrutinized him had no knowledge of the contents of a textbook he co-authored in 1977, "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment," a copy of which was obtained by FOXNews.com.

The 1,000-page course book, which was co-written with environmental activists Paul and Anne Ehrlich, discusses and in one passage seems to advocate totalitarian measures to curb population growth, which it says could cause an environmental catastrophe.

The three authors summarize their guiding principle in a single sentence: "To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people."

As first reported by FrontPage Magazine, Holdren and his co-authors spend a portion of the book discussing possible government programs that could be used to lower birth rates.

Those plans include forcing single women to abort their babies or put them up for adoption; implanting sterilizing capsules in people when they reach puberty; and spiking water reserves and staple foods with a chemical that would make people sterile.

To help achieve those goals, they formulate a "world government scheme" they call the Planetary Regime, which  would administer the world's resources and human growth, and they discuss the development of an "armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force" to which nations would surrender part of their sovereignty.

Holdren's office issued a statement to FOXNews.com denying that the ecologist has ever backed any of the measures discussed in his book, and suggested reading more recent works authored solely by Holdren for a view to his beliefs.

"Dr. Holdren has stated flatly that he does not now support and has never supported compulsory abortions, compulsory sterilization, or other coercive approaches to limiting population growth," the statement said.

"Straining to conclude otherwise from passages treating controversies of the day in a three-author, 30-year-old textbook is a mistake."

But the textbook itself appears to contradict that claim.

Holdren and the Ehrlichs offer ideas for "coercive," "involuntary fertility control," including "a program of sterilizing women after their second or third child," which doctors would be expected to do right after a woman gives birth.

"Unfortunately," they write, "such a program therefore is not practical for most less developed countries," where doctors are not often present when a woman is in labor.

While Holdren and his co-authors don't openly endorse such measures on other topics, in this case they announce their disappointment -- "unfortunately" -- that women in the third world cannot be sterilized against their will, a procedure the International Criminal Court considers a crime against humanity.

"It's very problematic that he said these things," said Ben Lieberman, a senior policy analyst at the Heritage Foundation. Lieberman faulted Holdren for using government as a solution to every problem and advocating heavy-handed and invasive laws.

But other members of the scientific community said accusations against Holdren are wholly misplaced.

"John Holdren has been one of the most well-respected and prominent scientific voices urging the federal government to address global warming," wrote Kevin Knobloch, president of the Union of Concerned Scientists, in a statement.

Holdren's co-authors, Paul and Anne Ehrlich, said in a statement that they were "shocked at the serious mischaracterization of our views and those of John Holdren," caused by what they called misreadings of the book

"We were not then, never have been, and are not now 'advocates' of the Draconian measures for population limitation described -- but not recommended" in the book, they wrote.

Still, William Yeatman, an energy policy analyst at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, faulted the Senate for not screening Holdren more strenuously during his hearings before confirming his nomination by unanimous consent both in committee and in the full Senate.

Despite "the litany of apocalyptic warnings that turned out to be incorrect, no one was willing to stick his neck out" and vote no, Yeatman said.

Some of Holdren's views on population came under fire during the otherwise quiet confirmation hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where Sen. David Vitter, R-La., asked him to revisit his past statements about environmental catastrophes that have never come to pass.

"I was and continue to be very critical of Dr. Holdren's positions -- specifically his countless doomsday science publications and predictions that have been near universally wrong," Vitter told FOXNews.com.

"I wish that the Commerce Committee had taken more time to evaluate his record during his nomination hearing, but like with everything else in this new Washington environment, the Democratic majority and the White House were pushing to speed his nomination along," Vitter said.

Vitter grilled Holdren during the hearing, asking him to clear up his 1986 prediction that global warming was going to kill about 1 billion people by 2020.

"You would still say," Vitter asked, "that 1 billion people lost by 2020 is still a possibility?"

"It is a possibility, and one we should work energetically to avoid," Holdren replied.

Sen. John Kerry, a leading Democrat on the committee, said the renewed scrutiny was essentially a Republican smear on Holdren's good record. Kerry told FOXNews.com that senators already had "ample opportunity" to question Holdren, who "made clear that he does not and never has supported coercive approaches, end of story.

"The Commerce Committee and the Senate then unanimously concluded what I have long known -- that John Holdren is a leading voice in the scientific community and we are fortunate to have him lead the fight to restore the foundation of science to government and policymaking that has been lacking for almost a decade."

Holdren has confronted a number of challenges during his four-decade scientific career, including nuclear arms reduction, and was part of a group that shared the 1995 Nobel Peace Prize "for their efforts to diminish the part played by nuclear arms in international politics," as the Nobel Committee said.

Now his greatest focus is global warming, which he said in a recent interview poses a threat akin to being "in a car with bad brakes driving toward a cliff in the fog."

Holdren told the Associated Press in April that the U.S. will consider all options to veer away from that cliff, including an experimental scheme to shoot pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays and cool the earth, a last resort he hoped could be averted.

"Dr. Holdren is working day and night for the Obama Administration and the American people, helping to develop science and technology policies to make the country stronger, more secure, and more energy independent, and to make Americans healthier and better educated," his office told FOXNews.com.

Four months after Holdren's confirmation, his critics are keeping a wary eye on his work in the White House, where they assert that he has the president's ear on scientific issues.

"It is interesting that this 30-year-old book is finally coming to light," said Lieberman, of the Heritage Foundation.

"The people who are concerned about Holdren, quite frankly we didn't do enough homework." (Obama's Science Czar Considered Forced Abortions, Sterilization.)

"To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people"?

Yes, this is what the Ehrichs and John Holdren believe.

That anyone who uses this as his guiding principle can be invited to conference sponsored by what most Catholics think is the Catholic Church is one of so many signs of just how bold the adversary is becoming as he uses his stooges in false conciliar sect and in the world to prepare the way for the entry of Antichrist onto the world stage.

We have been warned, though:

This shameful font of indifferentism gives rise to that absurd and erroneous proposition which claims that liberty of conscience must be maintained for everyone. It spreads ruin in sacred and civil affairs, though some repeat over and over again with the greatest impudence that some advantage accrues to religion from it. “But the death of the soul is worse than freedom of error,” as Augustine was wont to say. When all restraints are removed by which men are kept on the narrow path of truth, their nature, which is already inclined to evil, propels them to ruin. Then truly “the bottomless pit” is open from which John saw smoke ascending which obscured the sun, and out of which locusts flew forth to devastate the earth. Thence comes transformation of minds, corruption of youths, contempt of sacred things and holy laws — in other words, a pestilence more deadly to the state than any other. Experience shows, even from earliest times, that cities renowned for wealth, dominion, and glory perished as a result of this single evil, namely immoderate freedom of opinion, license of free speech, and desire for novelty. (Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos, August 15, 1832.)

Unlike Paul Ehrlich's myths about overpopulation" that are being legitimized by the fact of his invitation to speak at a Vatican conference run by apostates, Catholics believe in the Provident care of the true God of Divine Revelation, the Most Blessed Trinity, and that children are thus gifts from God to be welcoming generously in order to know, love, and serve Him as members of His true Church on earth so that they can be prepared to die a happy and holy death in order to be with Him for all eternity in Heaven.

Alas, we live at a time when a false church, led by Jorge Mario Bergoglio, that is filled with false prophets have made their accommodations with ancient enemies of Christ the King because it is the very creation of those false enemies. Anyone who does not see this by now is willfully blind.

Our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gave us a very specific warning to us to beware of the false prophets posing as sheep when they are actually ravenous wolves:

At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father in heaven shall enter the kingdom of heaven.  (Matthew 7: 15-21.)

The Catholic Church can never produce any kind of bad fruit as she is the true and infallilbe oasis of salvation, outside of which there can be no salvation and without which there can be no true social order, and no true pope would ever have invited the likes of Paul Ehrlich to do anything other than to convert unconditionally to the Catholic Church and to renounce his egregious errors.

Serving as a rebuke to the words and actions of the conciliar "popes," the following sermon of the great saint whose feast we celebrate today as the sanctoral cycle resumes following the end of the Octave of the Epiphany of Our Lord Jesus Christ yesterday, explains that, quite contrary to the endless ravings of Bergoglio and his fellow revolutionaries, men must quit their sins, not celebrate them in the name of "saving the planet":

What use is there in calling the Lord, Lord? Would He not be Lord all the same, whether or not we called Him so What holiness is there in this ascription of a name, when the true way to enter into the kingdom of heaven is to do the will of our Father, Who is in heaven? "Many will say to Me in that day: Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy Name?” Already here doth the Lord rebuke the deceit of the false prophets, and the feigning of the hypocrites, who take glory to themselves because of the power of their words, their prophesying in teaching, their casting out of devils, and such-like mighty works.

Because of all these things they promised unto themselves that they shall enter into the kingdom of heaven as though in their words and works any good thing were their own, and not all the mighty working of that God upon Whom they call, since reading bringeth knowledge of doctrine, and the Name of Christ driveth out devils. That which is needed on our part to win that blessed eternity, that of our own which we must give, is to will to do right, to turn away from all evil, to obey with our whole heart the commandments laid on us from heaven, and so to become the friends of God. It should be ours rather to do God's will, than to boast of God's power. And we must put off from us and thrust away such as are by their wicked works already estranged from His friendship. (Saint Hilary of Poitiers, as found in Matins, Divine Office, Seventh Sunday after Pentecost.)

We must always remember that this is the time that God has appointed from all eternity for us to live and thus to sanctify and to save our immortal souls as members of the Catholic Church. The graces won for us by the shedding of every single drop of Our Lord's Most Precious Blood on the wood of the Holy Cross and that flows into our hearts and souls through the loving hands of Our Lady, the Mediatrix of All Graces, are sufficient for us to handle whatever crosses--personal, social and ecclesiastical--that we are asked to carry. We must give thanks to God at all times for each of our crosses as we seek to serve Him through Our Lady in this time of apostasy and betrayal.

Remember the words of the late William C. Koneazny (see A True Catholic Rendezvous: A Personal Reminiscence of the late +William C. Koneany, R.I.P. ): "Our Lady will come and throw the bums out!"

Documentation of Material Found in National Security and Study Memorandum 200, April 24, 1974

The following material is taken from a book, The Life and Death of NSM-200, written by a pro-abortion author, Stephen Mumford. The first excerpt is then United States Secretary of Satate Henry Alfred Kissinger's letter outlining the nature of the study:

The President has directed a study of the impact of world popula-

tion growth on U.S. security and overseas interests.  The study

should look forward at least until the year 2000, and use several

alternative reasonable projections of population growth.

In terms of each projection, the study should assess:

  - the corresponding pace of development, especially in poorer

    countries;

  - the demand for US exports, especially of food, and the trade

problems the US may face arising from competition for re-

    sources;       and

  - the likelihood that population growth or imbalances will

produce disruptive foreign policies and international insta-

    bility.

The study should focus on the international political and economic

implications of population growth rather than its ecological, socio-

logical or other aspects.

The study would then offer possible courses of action for the United

States in dealing with population matters abroad, particularly in

developing countries, with special attention to these questions:

  - What, if any, new initiatives by the United States are needed

to focus international attention on the population problem?

  - Can technological innovations or development reduce

    growth or ameliorate its effects?

  - Could the United States improve its assistance in the popu-

lation field and if so, in what form and through which agen-

    cies -- bilateral, multilateral, private?

The study should take into account the President's concern that

population policy is a human concern intimately related to the

dignity of the individual and the objective of the United States is to

work closely with others, rather than seek to impose our views on

others.

The President has directed that the study be accomplished by the

NSC Under Secretaries Committee.  The Chairman, Under Secre-

taries Committee, is requested to forward the study together with

the Committee's action recommendations no later than May 29,

1974 for consideration by the President.

Excerpts From NSSM-200's "What Must Be Done" Agenda:

  1. "Control of population growth and migration must be a part of any program for improvement of lasting value." [Page 81]
  2. "...the Conference adopted by acclamation (only the Holy See stating a general reservation) a complete World Population Plan of Action" [Page 87]
  3. "Our objective should be to assure that developing countries make family planning information, education and means available to all their peoples by 1980." [Page 130]
  4. "Only nominal attention is [currently] given to population education or sex education in schools..." [Page 158] "Recommendation: That US agencies stress the importance of education of the next generation of parents, starting in elementary schools, toward a two-child family ideal. That AID stimulate specific efforts to develop means of educating children of elementary school age to the ideal of the two-child family..." [Page 159]
  5. "...there is general agreement that up to the point when cost per acceptor rises rapidly, family planning expenditures are generally considered the best investment a country can make in its own future," [Page 53]

Stephen Mumford's summary of the pro-abortion thrust of NSSM-200:

While the agencies participating in this study have no specific recommendations to propose on abortion, the following issues are believed important and should be considered in the context of a global population strategy...Certain facts about abortion need to be appreciated:

" -- No country has reduced its population growth without resorting to abortion". [Page 182]

" -- Indeed, abortion, legal and illegal, now has become the most widespread fertility control method in use in the world today." [Page 183]

" -- It would be unwise to restrict abortion research for the following reasons: 1) The persistent and ubiquitous nature of abortion. 2) Widespread lack of safe abortion techniques..." [Page 185]  (The Life and Death of NSSM-200.)
